I dealt with an American Standard sales rep named Patrick and he was great. Then, when my walk-in tub was installed, the reps who came out were excellent. They made it happen out of a difficult situation. So far, I like the jets feature and that handheld shower. And I like to just soak in the tub. It's the Rolls Royce and since I got it, I got to keep other people from trying to jump in my tub.

I was in an accident and I figured that a walk-in tub would help my legs. Their representatives from American Standard were fine. I called them up and told them that I wanted a tub. The installation went good. The tub is helping me and I can walk now. But I used it yesterday and I noticed one of the jets wasn't working. When you get in there and get the water full, you can't tell. But it's one side of it. I'd just like to get it fixed.

All of the reviews that we read about American Standard walk-in tub on the AARP Magazine were all positive. The sales rep was really good and the installation went okay also. The installer explained everything he was doing or going to do. All of them were very professional. My wife uses the tub and it's for her. She likes the hydrotherapy feature in it.

I like to sit in the tub and I get in there with plenty of warm water and moving around that. I could spend two hours in there and think nothing of it. I had a small sit-down Whirlpool tub. I'm trying to compare that to my American Standard walk-in tub, and there are no comparisons. But I have a few minor problems since I've been using the tub. I'm 6' and I can't lean back and relax there. The foot room is not big enough. It's fine when you sit down there but you cannot really sit down and relax. It just doesn't quite fit me. Then the other day, my shower broke. They also need to put down those jets on the back a little bit or reduce the pressure on it because it hits my back and comes on over. And my whole bathroom takes a bath with me. Other than that, I love my walk-in tub even with some of the minor things in there, because you cannot build one thing to suit everybody. I am very happy with what I have.
The sales guy that came out said that they knew a lot about it, but they didn't really answer the questions I had. But the installation was wonderful. The gentlemen that came out to put it in were super excellent. They were very polite and they answered the questions. They showed me things and they went through it very thoroughly. I used to do maintenance work and plumbing and all that, so I went down to see my Mid State plumbers over in South Bend. And the swing-out tub that they got was a whole lot better than the one I got. It had more room for me to put my foot down in there even with my shoes on and it was a little more relaxing.

American Standard's price on walk-in baths was the best. There was a $10,000 difference from one to another. I went with them and the installation of my tub went very quickly. Their techs did it carefully and nicely. They didn't mess up my tile, wall paint, or did anything that took the old tubes out. I like the jets of the tub. They're the reason I picked the model of the tub I got. I'm satisfied with my American Standard.

We were having problems getting in and out of the bathtub. We had a shower bathtub combo, and it was just getting extremely difficult to get in and out of it. We did the shower but it was still hard to get in and out of the tub. I always heard about American Standard and thought they were a good group. The ones that installed the walk-in tub were very nice, friendly, answered any questions that I had, and a lot of fun to have around. The tub is marvelous. I like the whole thing. I'm glad I did it.

The American Standard walk-in tub is wonderful. My wife said it costs too much, but it's the best money I have ever spent. It's worth every penny of it. Their representatives were very good men to work with. I had a male and a female who came out to install it and they were both super fantastic. They cleaned up everything. They also showed me what I was supposed to do and how to do it. I'll tell you what. My wife doesn't like the lights but I do. I use them. I also like that it sucks that walls out of there fast. I've also learned that It'll go for about 20 minutes then shuts itself off. You have to restart it again but it’s no big deal. Anybody that needs the assistance like we did should go for it.

I've always just wanted a sit-down tub for a while. The guys from American Standard were very nice, friendly and helpful. The walk-in tub is comfortable. But people should know about American Standard's pricing before making a purchase. I didn't need one with a shower so I should have looked around more to see if there was a little bit cheaper option. Also, with as much water that goes in it, your water bill goes up a little bit.

I got estimates in April from American Standard and Jacuzzi. I am dealing with chronic pain and my pain management doctor recommended hydrotherapy. Out of the gate the salesperson lied about the company’s willingness to work with the insurance company. I overcame this hurdle because of the tub’s features that specifically target my pain issues. When it was time to put down a deposit, I told the same sales guy I needed him to hold my check until I notified him that the money I transferred had landed in my account. HE AGREED, then turned around and IMMEDIATELY deposited the check. Lucky for me that the money had transferred at the same time or I would have been overdrawn on my checking account for which this company and their representative could care less. Their motto to the customer seems to be “sucks to be you. all we care about is the dough-re-mi!” Use EXTREME caution in dealing with this subsidiary of LIXIL.

My wife wanted a tub and American Standard walk-in tub comes with a shower so we went with it to appease both. I'm a disabled vet and I have a lot of problems with my legs. The American Standard representative was very informative and the installers were a good team. It took them four and a half hours to install and they were very clean. The quality of the tub’s up to par. The feature for the shower doesn’t accommodate somebody that wants to shower. The seat is too large in the tub area and you can't stand properly in there to get a shower. I don't really like the tub, but everyone else did their part.

I was looking through a magazine and saw an advertisement for American Standard there. The man who came out was very good and had no problem with me. The installation went well. He put it all in that day. He turned the water on as well as all the jets. Everything is working well and we all are enjoying all of it at the time being. Everything applied to what they advertised. Since we got it, I can feel the difference. I've started working out. Right now, we're going through some tests but I'm gonna get back on it and start using it every morning.

The salesman was very good. He gave us all the information we asked. He gave us a demonstration and answered all our questions. The installation went well and easy. The guy knew what he was doing. The tub is everything we thought it would be. Filling the tub up and using the accessories are nice as far as the bubbles go. We also like the shower and being able to take a shower sitting down. The only thing I’m disappointed with is the aromatherapy. I don’t smell it. Also, there should be an option to include the toilet with the tub. We could have probably reduced the price by a couple thousand dollars.

After doing some research, American Standard seemed like they had the best reviews. It was really good with the sales rep. He was very helpful and very knowledgeable. He answered all our questions. Also, the installers were really great. The only complaint I can make, and it's not a huge complaint, is that I didn't really realize how much water a walk-in tub uses when filling it up. But other than that, it works great. When I take a bath, it really helps with aches and pains.

I started going down the list of walk-in bathtub companies and American Standard was the second one I called. They were the one that appealed to me. They were more local, and I liked the price and the door that opens out. The rep I dealt with was very friendly and nice. The installation was fine except the company forgot to send along the wall covering for around the three walls of the tub and the installers had to go to a local home place and buy a substitute, which later on the company said could be removed and replaced with what I had ordered. Otherwise, they would give me something off and I took that. It looks fine. As far as the quality, it's pretty good. But I would add another grab bar that I could put above the tub on the long wall behind it for my own and my husband's safety. Overall, I'm satisfied.

I had talked to a friend who had American Standard and she recommended that. After hearing the whole thing and I had interviewed others, that seemed the best choice for me. So, that was why I went with it. Their sales rep was very interesting, very thorough and very factual. He knew well about the product. He explained everything to me. The one question that I had, we adjusted that and got it taken care of. The installation day went very well too. The installers came in and were thorough. They cleaned up and put up everything back. Everything went well. The tub's very well done and it works well. I'm enjoying it. Since installing the tub, my skin feels better and it helps my legs feel stronger.

American Standard got a good product. Their reps were nice and they showed us what was gonna be done. The installation was pretty fast. I love the product that we got. I like to get in it. I like the jets and everything it got in there. You get to sit down and get a massage. That feels good. I get leg cramps all the time. I get in there, and I have to just massage the back of my legs and it'll feel good afterwards.

American Standard has better quality, and I like the way they were gonna install the product. I could visualize that well. With the other ones, I couldn't visualize it. It just didn't come together. As far as installation, American Standard did a fantastic job. It took two days because they were very meticulous about everything they did. They were very precise. Even if they visualized it before and they gave me some sort of an inkling of what it would be like, when they finished it, it really blew me away. I was really impressed with the outcome of the installation. When the tub's filling up, I'm trying to keep myself busy by washing and massaging my feet. That's the drawback, but the rest is a plus with the jets and everything. It's so soothing and comfortable.
The only thing is this is about the fourth time I've been trying to get an itemized billing. I need it for tax purposes. They told me that they're gonna send it to my email and I have never received anything. Even the person that installed it called three times and he didn't get any response. I was there when he was calling the company.

The sales rep of American Standard did fine. I had some questions and then she was able to answer them for the most part. The installer seemed very competent in what he was doing. I was so afraid of falling in the shower so since having the tub installed, it has taken away those fears.

My dad was a home handyman, so we all know about American Standard. American Standard has a lifetime warranty too. The rep showed up on time. He came when he was supposed to. He was very informative. The installers were two gentlemen. They wore their masks like they were supposed to. Super friendly, prompt, very informative and worked faster than I thought. The product is pretty nice. We were surprised that the backsplash that goes up into the wall was a little bit nicer than what we expected. One thing that I don't like about it is some of the access panels on the floor, don't sit very flattish, roll out and stick out a little bit.

My wife will be 90 this month, and she was having trouble getting in and out of the bathtub. I purchased an American Standard walk-in and everything went good with the sales rep. They gave me all the information I needed and they did what they said they'd do. The installers were very nice and knowledgeable. They did a fine job putting the tub in and they were all friendly guys. The walk-in helps my wife a lot. She can get in and out of it no problem and she likes the jets. She likes to be able to relax in there and it puts out a good aroma if you put that stuff in it. The lights are soothing too. They change colors all the time in it when it's running. I should have gotten this tub a long time ago. They look good installed too. It looks better than the regular bathtub.

I saw an ad about American Standard in a magazine. Then I called and someone came and talked to us. We got our tub about five years ago and I was glad to do it. The installation was great. They worked hard and they widened doors. They were very accommodating. It was done the way it was supposed to be done. I felt like our tub added to the value of our home, but especially my husband who had Parkinson's. It was something that was quite useful to him. My husband, in the last months of his life, used our American Standard tub and it was the answer for him. As I can still stand in the shower, I still am going to do that as long as I can. But I'm glad I have the step-in when I might need it. I'm satisfied that I have it.

There were a couple of instances where I called and didn't get exactly the answer I wanted, but overall it was good. We got this walk-in because it's American made. The massaging effect of it is really nice and my wife likes to stay in it for a long time.

I went with American Standard based on the greater quantity of space inside with the door swinging out. Also, I was general contractor for 45 years and American Standard was the old standby for us always. The sales representative was very knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions, and he was very thorough in the way he measured up for the tub to be installed. It was excellent. Two men then came for the installation and it went very well. They were also very knowledgeable of what was to be done, and they divided time and worked as a team. They arrived 1 o'clock and at 9 o'clock, we were able to use the tub if we wanted to. I like the tub. I'm old and I have leg problems. I know that it's better for me with the jets in it to help my circulation.

A friend told us about American Standard, and we have an American Standard toilet in one of our bathrooms. We're really pleased with that. Then we had another friend that has another brand and said, "I wish I had gotten American Standard." So by the time we got ready to buy a tub, we had already decided on what we wanted to. The installation was great. They worked on it. I thought they might had to come back the next day and finish it up because they got started a little later in the day, but they stayed until around midnight and finished the job completely. They asked if it was okay to do that. We told them we would rather they did if that was what they could do.
As far as our tub, I feel safer. We got a shower in the other bathroom. My husband and I both have gotten to where we're kind of afraid to take a chance on it. We didn't fall, but we've had some near falls. We feel safe in this one. I had thought about calling American Standard recently. After we left the water out, about five minutes later, it makes a loud noise like it's clearing out the lines. It did it all along. But the last few times we've used it, we've not heard that noise.

When I saw the name American Standard, I was interested because mega years ago, when I was young, one of my uncles was a plumber and I can remember American Standard from way back then. So that caught my eye and I ended up purchasing from a walk-in tub from them. But when their sales rep came out, my wife wasn't happy too happy with him. As far as she was concerned, he was a little bit pushy. But I used to be in sales and marketing myself, so I just went along with it.
As for the installation, it was terrific and I was really surprised. I can understand the problem trying to get the tub in through the doors, up the stairs. and the whole thing. So there were a few nicks and gouges in the woodwork. But the way they fitted it in in the place of the old tub, it fit right in exclusively just as though it was made to fit and that part was very good. But the fixture to hold the shower wand needs to be re-engineered. I'm an engineering type guy and I can see it needs to be worked on big time. Other than that, our experience was good and we're enjoying our new tub.

I like American Standard's quality and price. The in-home sales rep did a good job. The installation didn't take as long as I thought it would, and the final product is great. I'm almost 80 years old so my walk-in tub makes your bones feel good. Also, it really adds value to the house. I had recommended it.

I checked out American Standard and they were on Angie’s List. And I’ve used Angie’s List people before, so that made me choose them for my new bathtub. The sales rep who came out was great, very professional, very nice, and very thorough. But it took them too long to get to me. They kept calling back and asked a good day to reschedule. And the third time they called, I told them that I wanted my money back so I could call another company. So, they called me back and said that they would put someone else on hold, reschedule them, and come on out for me. So far, my husband is the one that uses the bathtub mostly and he is pleased with it.

The guy who sold me my American Standard Walk-In Bath as well as their installer were very knowledgeable. Initially, their tub wasn't the one that I wanted installed. It was very expensive. So far, the tub has been alright and kind of worth it. It takes a lot more water than a normal bath and it has jets. So far, we're enjoying it.

I got a walk-in tub from American Standard and I do not like it. The door is not wide enough and the seat is not comfortable. I can't sit back and relax in it like American Standard advertised. Their rep made the tub sound like it was the greatest thing in the world but it wasn't. When their installation team put it in, they put the door back on its hinges and put a new toilet in. They then left me with a gaping hole in my floor where the old tub was. I wish I never got this tub. It has not helped one bit.

The salesman did a good job. He was very knowledgeable and nice, and the installers were fantastic. I'm 79 years old and I have a knee problem. The American Standard tub is simple and easy for me to get into and it does a good job. I don't have a back problem, but the air in the jets relaxes me. I sleep better as well.

The sales rep I had from American Standard was very informative. I got a tub from them and their installers were wonderful. They covered everything in my bedroom in plastic. It took them two days to do the installation but they did a beautiful job. I don't know how I ever lived without it. I love the tub. I have since recommended American Standard to other people.

I had called to inquire about American Standard and then they sent the guy in to give his presentation here, but I didn't decide to buy it until afterwards. The installers were wonderful. As a matter of fact, it didn't take them quite as long as they thought it would. They were a great group of guys and the walk-in is heavenly. I'm able to have the jets turned on and I love to climb in there, lay back and relax. It's such a relaxing atmosphere.

American Standard's sales rep was friendly and nice as could be. I went with them and their installation team was really efficient and they did their job. They ran into a problem with something and they had to come back the next morning. They had trouble getting parts needed because of COVID. Other than that, the installation went really smoothly. So far, we're completely satisfied with the tub we got.

My experience with American Standard was fine. Except the electricians changed the electric and they put our refrigerator wire on a 240 circuit, and it burned the compressors up in three separate refrigerators before we found out what was wrong. But so far as the installation and the tub, everything has been fine. The sales rep was great. He explained everything I needed to know.

We've had American Standard for about six years. The first time I ever heard of one, I'm a retired deputy and I had a senior in a retirement community who couldn't get out of the tub and managed to call us, and I helped him. That was the first time I saw a walk-in tub. I'm not sure if it was American Standard, but I know that American Standard has been here for over 100 years, so I thought they have an idea what they're doing. That was what I was thinking when we called for American Standard.
The installer was fantastic. They gave him the wrong tub. It was supposed to open so that the door opens to the front of the tub. They put everything on the other side. We said, "No, that's not it." He looked at it and he said, “That's not what they said they gave me. You don’t mind if I go back?” So, about a day later, he showed back up with the real one and put it in. They were great.
I'm impressed with our tub. When my wife was six years old, she was in a plane crash and it broke her back. She was in a body cast for about nine months according to what her mother told us. When we met, she told me she hurt her back when she was a kid, but we’d go out dancing and do everything. We’d go wandering around doing all the good stuff we wanted to do. We would walk a mile once in a while, and she was fine. But she was working at a place that they couldn't get a chair that would help her back. The tub helps out with the heat. She's having some issues, and she gets really hot once a while. So, she’ll go into the tub, turn it on with the cold water and settle down. My wife likes the jets. Now, she doesn't wanna sit down and do it because of her back. She's 62 so she's a little sensitive about it.

My husband and I are in our 70s and he has some trouble walking and standing. We had a shower and a regular bathtub that would be hard to get in and out of. It was time, age-wise and health-wise, to get a walk-in bathtub and my husband thought the quality was way better on American Standard so we went with them. The rep we worked with was excellent. I was very impressed and I’m almost surprised of her knowledge. Then, they told us it could be a two-day installation but the installers were easily done in a day. They had to take the door off the door jamb and they cleaned up everything. Everything was put together perfectly.

We researched a walk-in tub and found American Standard Model 3060.109CLL so we set up an appointment. And was "talked out of it" and sold a Liberation. It is 8" shorter than what we wanted and since there are NO models to try or showrooms to go we bought it. We got to see it just before the installation and did a "dry fit" to which my wife said "it's short", but the rip-out of the old tub and surround was complete, so we continued. She tried it the next day and hates it. We are having it removed. We were told by customer care that "you tried it", the "dry fit". We were never told by anyone that we could have stopped the purchase/install at that point. Worst sales experience ever, worst tub ever and a very expensive ($15,000+) blunder on so many levels. Don't make the same mistake!

I have been WAITING 6 weeks to hear from a technician to set up a date to fix the LEAK I first noticed on JULY 11th. I've not been able to take a bath without worry since. I have edema in both legs and wanted this $15,000. tub for therapy. I have months of $600./month before this is paid for. It is insulting and infuriating to be treated so casually now that American Standard got its money and I can apparently go pound sand. I've called, left messages probably 15 times and am being IGNORED. The after-sale service is DEPLORABLE.

The contractor never pulled a permit to do the job! I now have an illegal install in my home and that means if anything goes wrong such as fire or flood my insurance won't cover it. I can't get a loan or sell my home because of the illegal install. I can only sell it to a cash buyer if they are willing to take the risk. This company will not file for the permit so it can be taken care of by the city inspector. I have made many phone calls with no satisfactory results. My only option left is to get legal help and file a complaint with the State Licensing Board and perhaps take my complaint to the media. I may even have to take it to the Attorney General's Office....

I watched the advertisement on TV and I called American Standard. The installation crew was good and nice. Everything went well and I haven't had any problems. I am enjoying the tub. It has helped this old body out a lot. I can be hurting and I can get in it and it just eases the pain. I like the tub and I’m very satisfied.

I heard about the walk-in tubs on television. And then, I asked around to see which companies were recommended and American Standard seemed to be the one that most people thought was the best. The rep was very knowledgeable, did a good job in explaining everything to me and set up the appointment to start the work and gave me brochures and called. He did everything he was supposed to do. And then, the installers were very nice and neat. At the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves. They said the installation could take three days, but they did it in two. That was very good. My new bathtub helps my arthritis. I soak in the tub and have the Jacuzzi. It's easy to get in and out of and it drains really fast.

I'm 76 and I like the idea that I can just step in the tub instead of having to bend over. The American Standard walk-in tub is very nice to have and it's fun. Their representative was great and very informative. I was a little shy on the money part and he got me down to one that they had that I could do it. The installation took four hours in and out and everything was done. There was a shower between the hot water heater and the electric panel and everything was right there. They also said that it was an easy one to fix. The quality is great. It was expensive but it was something that I wanted. I'm also not gonna get any younger. So I went for it.

Two years ago, I had a stem cell therapy transplant because I had cancer and when all that was over with, I was in a coma for two months. When I came out of the coma, I couldn't walk so I went through therapy and rehab. I still have some issues with stiffness and neuropathy in my joints. I wanted a walk-in tub because I hadn't sat down in a tub in 10 years. The rep from American Standard was a great guy. He was very helpful, informative, and honest. Everything he said that was going to happen happened. The installers did a very professional job and were very honest. I appreciate their craftsmanship and the quality that they've presented. Having the walk-in tub has changed my day-to-day lifestyle because I go to the gym and work out to keep my mobility, stamina and balance up. I take a shower every day. I also do a therapy soak for about an hour four times a week and it calms me down and gets rid of my anxieties.

The gentleman from American Standard was very lear. He answered our questions and didn't tell us a lot of things we didn't wanna hear. The price was good and they were able to the installation within a very short time. The first day the installers came, they had two or three guys carry things in and out in carts. Usually, contractors give me a hard time. They would want me not to be there while they're working. American Standard's installation crew was neat and clean.
Their master plumber Brad was fantastic. We asked him if he'd do a few things for us and he said it was fine. I had a few things on my wall and he told me that he would take those off and save them for me. There was also a shower piece that we asked for that didn't come with what he had and Brad said that he would come back as soon as it came in to install it. Brad came back when that piece came. Brad was a super contractor. He did all the electrical work, the plumbing and the construction. My wife asked him for a shelf and he put that in. When there was a leak and we called them, Brad came over and fixed it. Everything has been fine since then. The tub is very nice and my wife likes it. With it, she's able to take a bath with no problem. I recommend American Standard to anybody. It's expensive but it's well worth it.

I fell in the shower downstairs and ended up three months in the hospital. I decided to get a walk-in tub. I like everything about my American Standard tub. Everybody that has been in the house said, "Oh, I wish I had one." I really like the jets. It helps my back, my legs and my feet. I wish the door was just a little bit wider. Other than that, the installation was wonderful. The sales rep that I dealt with during the purchase was sweet.

American Standard was of the companies that came up and they were able to come out the quickest. Their sales guy was good and knowledgeable. We made his job easy. We got the shower and everything from my father. He's 85 with brain cancer and in a wheelchair. What we had to have was something that he was still gonna be able to get into and his wife was gonna be able to get in with him and help him. The sales guy was like, “We've got one thing that'll do.” The installation went great. The crew got in and got it done. Everything was great. My father and his wife are doing well with the tub. They're getting in and out and it’s been able to keep him home instead of putting him in a nursing home.

I preferred American Standard over Kohler as they use their own contractors. Plus we liked the features of their tub and their price was slightly lower. We went with them and the sales guy who came was very low-key. He didn't pressure us. We went with them and the installation went well. We were very happy. The aromatherapy feature of the tub is not worth much though. It comes with beads and those don't seem to do a lot of good. Still, their contractor did an extremely good job and was very careful.

I saw an ad for American Standard and called up their salesman. He made a good presentation. He did well in everything and he wasn't pushy. But they should improve the price a little bit. The walk-in tub was a little bit pricey and it could have been a little bit cheaper. Their installer was excellent and did a super job. He finished the job in three and a half. He was very careful with the installation because I have fairly new flooring and I told him that I did not want my flooring marked up. He made sure he didn’t put a mark on it.
The walk-in tub works well and I like it. We had to make one adjustment though. I didn’t realize it’s a 60-gallon tub when you fill it up and our hot water heater is only a 40-gallon. At first we thought we might have to replace that because the first time I used the tub, I ran out of hot water before the tub got full. I then went looking at my hot water heater and it was kinda set on low normal so I turned up the temperature on it to high normal. That makes the water a lot hotter and so now I can fill it up and I still get hot water left. I don’t open the hot water wide open. I only open it half to three quarter. But when filling the tub, it might take a minute longer. If somebody else has got that problem, they should crank up the temperature in their hot water heater and try it.

I can't get in and out of a regular tub. I need a walk-in bathtub. I did a lot of research on it, and I liked the reviews on American Standard. Their sales rep did everything good, except that he told me the tub would go through my bathroom door, and it didn’t. It had to go through my bedroom wall. That was a big difference. They fixed it though. I have to paint it but that's okay. The gentleman who came was an excellent installer. My new walk-in bathtub is a good product. I like the jets.

When the other salesman started to run down American Standard's tub I just decided it was their tub. He shot himself in the foot. He was cheaper but he changed my mind. On the other hand, American Standard's salesman was okay. He knew everything I wanted to know. And then, the installers were really good. It took them all day. The place was as clean as when they got here. You wouldn't even know they were here. We got the tub for my daughter and she loves it. When I got a bad backache, I got into it and it helped.

American Standard should give more upfront information so customers can make a better choice before talking to them. Still, the installation process was good. The salesperson wasn't aware though that he could put a bigger tub in. The tech they sent took the first tub back and ordered me a bigger one. He got things done in one day as opposed to other companies that were telling me two to three days.

My American Standard tub is fine. I like that I can sit down and take a shower. I'm 92 years old and getting in and out of a conventional bathtub was very difficult. I wish I could find some printed directions on how to work the faucet, the hot and cold water and that sort of stuff. Nobody left any instructions on how to control the water temperature, but I'm sure they must be someplace. During the installation, everybody was lovely. They finished it in less than one day.

The sales people were good. They sold us exactly what we wanted. Installation was handled really well. The installers were awesome and they worked around our time. The experience with the tub itself hasn't been all that great, but it's getting better. The first tub we got leaked. They kind of accused me of not knowing how to operate the tub. How hard is it to close the door and pull the latch down? Anybody should be able to figure that out. They came back and looked at the tub. It leaked when the installers were here. We put in a second tub and it leaked as well. Again, I had to go through a little bit of a runaround to get them to believe me that the tub was leaking. The tub didn't leak when the installers tested it. It leaked the day after.
We had a regional manager come in and verify that the tub was leaking. He had to drive in from Arkansas and we're in Mississippi. They gave me a third tub. They upgraded me to the top-of-the-line tub at no cost, and installed that tub. That tub also leaked. But we were able to repair the leak on that tub. So far, I have had no issues from this tub except the little knob that controls the jets keeps popping out. So I've gotta call them and get that fixed. But as far as sales and installation, everything has been top-of-the-line. As far as quality of the tub, I would have my doubts about buying another American Standard tub. Also, when a customer calls and says there's a problem with the tub, they should believe the customer. Because it's very disheartening to have someone tell you that you don't know how to operate a doggone tub when the only thing I do is close the door, pull the latch down, and turn the water on. It's a three-step process that's almost idiot-proof.

American Standard had a lifetime guarantee on everything including labor. Plus they got a good product. We compared it with other companies and American Standard had a good toilet seat and everything. The purchasing and installation process was a piece of cake. I just called them up and they came out and did it. The guys were wonderful. They answered all our questions so we were all satisfied. They even helped us with some other stuff. I would recommend them. Everything has been fine so far.

I knew about American Standard through the web but it is a very popular brand so, they’re elsewhere. I compared it to Kohler which was gonna charge over $21,000 on the onset if we do a shower. So compared to that, I was getting a reasonable value for the money with American Standard. The quality was part of it too. The sales rep was informative and in general, we liked him. He was knowledgeable about some things and my only criticism about him was when he said that we were a little younger than his normal target market and he focused on that a little bit. We were just buying a tub because of a functional utility issue that we had in the house and we wanted to have a bathtub in the space that didn't have one. But other than that, it was okay. He was fine and very helpful.
The problem with the installation was that they were gonna have one particular date that came by and they didn't have the tub surround that we had. They scheduled the date and that didn’t happen. So, they had to call and reschedule. But American Standard made good and gave us a credit. The salesman didn't know we wanted to have it done all the way up to the ceiling and that that particular style would not go all the way up to the ceiling. So when we got here, it didn't go up to the ceiling and American Standard made good on it once again. They gave us another credit.
It would have been nice if the salesperson was on the same page about the product. But you can't meet everything about that and that was okay. There were some difficulties but American Standard resolved it well. I was a little disappointed in the communication with the service department though. I had a service issue and I had to call three times in order to get a response about someone calling back to schedule. I was very surprised that that happened.
We had a very small 28 x 48 tub and we couldn't use it. It was an American Standard tub but it only had about 13 inches of flat space in it and when you stand, you would feel like you were falling over. It was a safety issue, which was one reason why we got this. This was larger, we could actually stand in the tub and be good. So, we use that. But my favorite feature about the tub is it seems to be well-made. We don’t use it that much right now for the soaking massage because we’re still working but it provides good utility for us. If it's a tough day, you want to get in something like that to soak and that's good although we haven't even used it 10 times for that kind of feature.

I've been doing plumbing for quite a number of years and American Standard plumbing has always been a good standard plumbing so I went with them. The sales rep was really knowledgeable. He explained everything to our satisfaction. The guys that did the installation were really good and we were really pleased with the installation. They did it when they came here in the morning and they were gone in the afternoon. The work they did is really good quality. They're very well organized. They didn’t leave a mess. They were all constantly cleaning and keeping things orderly and neat. We've had no problems with our tub. I like the whirlpool and the fact that it’s heating.

The biggest detriment to the whole deal with American Standard was that the price was extremely high but it was better than anything I was offered. There was also a little more pressure from the sales rep from but it was much better than another representative. I didn’t like the marketing ploy but I sort of understood it. It was a one-day deal and that wasn’t too appealing but we were able to decide and so, I said okay.
The installers were okay but they scratched up a few things. They could have been a little bit more careful because I can still see some marks on the baseboard. But they didn’t break anything and they also didn’t scar the wall too badly. They showed up at 8 o’clock and finished about 4:30. It was an all-day deal. The tub takes care of the needs at this point. I primarily use it as a place to bathe. I have one question about how the thing was blowing air after the cycle. I’m monitoring that and the last time, it worked perfectly so we’re okay there.

We went online and looked to try to find the tubs that we thought would suit our budget and suit us and meet the needs that we have. American Standard was then the one we chose. It was an evening when the sales rep came, but there was still daylight and the experience was very enjoyable. We stood out on the front deck and he had on his mask while I had on mine for COVID. It was not a pressure sales pitch at all, and all of our questions were answered. Once we decided that that's what we were going to do, he came inside and began to look to see if we had the space and what size tub would fit. He also checked if we had the electrical outlets and the other things that were needed to support it. It went really well.
Kurt and his helper then did the installation. They came when they said that they would come and they did a really good job. It took them more than one day for the installation, but they were back and finished up promptly when they said they would. Also, the guy who came up with a replacement for it came from Lafayette, Louisiana. He did a great job as well, except the part that he installed, even though we thought it was working, did not.
We had to get another replacement part which has just arrived and American Standard is now rescheduling a repairman to come and do that. Our original installer also called us back to see if things were working well and we've made him aware that now that the part has arrived, we are just waiting for a schedule for someone to come back. Things are really good.

I did some research and read about American Standard. None of their competition had the warranty and they didn't have the special features such as the drainage. I had a Jacuzzi years ago before I moved back to Mississippi, so I had an idea about how the jacuzzi should work. I kept reading, and eventually, I made up my mind on American Standard. The sales rep who came in as well as the installation were excellent. The installers came in and they were very conscientious about messing up things. They draped the floor down, the work area, and they were very courteous. They just worked and they stayed here for a very long time till they finished. However, the lights are supposed to be seven, but when I'm sitting in the tub, the upper left one does not come on. Other than that, I'm like the commercial. I'll be looking forward to get home and get in the tub. With the Coronavirus, I'm already at home. I feel safe and comfortable.

I liked the program that they had and I liked the style of the walk-in, including a feature on the hand shower and where you can use it or put it up like a regular shower. The sales and installation experiences were great as well. I wish everything went like that whenever I gotta get something done. The guys who installed were so outstanding doing their job and everything was just unbelievable. I love my walk-in too. If I had known it’d be like this, I would have had it done years ago.

The American Standard name has been around for a long time. I figured they made a good product and the salesperson told me everything about it. The installers were very professional and they knew what they were doing as well. They did a good job and the tub is working fine. The only thing I don't like about it is where that curtain drain switch is located. I turn the thing on and lose all of my hot water. I’m starting to get used to it though.

I love my walk-in tub. I had a regular tub with a shower curtain, and I have been losing my balance. I decided I better do something about it and American Standard was in a magazine. When I called to see about a tub, they were very pleasant. They set me up with a salesman right away and he was there in a couple of days. The installer was great too. He came in and we talked for about a minute. He said he was gonna get through with it and I asked if he was gonna do it in one day. He said yes and he did.

We were very pleased with what they told us beforehand and showed us. It was excellent customer service from my point of view and we liked what they had and the price as well. It took about a day to install the walk in tub and the installers were very courteous, nice, and we couldn't have expected better. We wish we would have gotten a walk-in tub sooner too. We love it. We're both like a rag when we get out of it. Both of us have some back problems, so it's really helping with that. Even if you don't have back problems or anything like that, to me it's the relaxation. We get out of there and we're thoroughly relaxed.

We had this beautiful garden tub and it was nice, long and deep, but we couldn't get out. Both my husband and I are getting up in age and he's not strong enough to pull me out and I'm strong enough to pull him out too. That was when we decided we needed the walk-in tub. We went online and American Standard was available in Austin and they sent someone out right away to respond to our inquiry. The salesperson was very good, quite knowledgeable, and explained everything in detail, so we went with them.
I thought the person who installed the tub did a good job as well. Our only hiccup was that there was a little screw missing, so we had to wait for that to be sent out. It wasn't with everything that came with the tub and we thought we were gonna get it the next day, but it took about a week. The installer brought it himself the following week and now, we're glad to have the tub. The only thing I miss is that I can't stretch out, but it is worth having the walk-in tub. You give up something and you get something better. All in all, we've enjoyed it.

We got three quotes, including the ones from the Safe Walk-in and from Kohler. American Standard had all the features that I really wanted, and the price was unbeatable. I chose them and the installer was fantastic. I can't say enough good about Kevin. He was perfect, informative and friendly and he explained everything about the tub. He did an absolutely great job and I would highly recommend him. Also, I love the darn tub. I like the ease of getting in and out. I love washing my hair in it because all I have to do is bend over, so it's very convenient. It has exceeded all of my expectations.

American Standard is a pretty good company. The first thing we asked them was if the door swung out instead of in, and it did so we went with them. The sales rep was great. The installers did what they had to do and cleaned up after themselves. One whole day and the tub was in. It is working great. I tell others to go for it.

The installer did a professional job. I thought it was just gonna be a tub with water and did not realize it is a spa. It's got all the jets that come out and my husband said it was gonna be great for my arthritis. We both used the tub several times and absolutely loved it. He said, “I wish I had gotten this many, many years ago.” I love the jets and the quick drain. We get it clean real quick and I like the idea that the jets clean themselves.

Getting in and out of the regular tub had gotten to be difficult at our age so we got a walk-in bathtub. The installer as well as the salesman were excellent. We enjoyed our experience with both. We love the tub. At that price, you have to like something in order to make that size purchase. But we got one faucet handle that's loose. It’s slack. Somebody needs to come out and take care of that. The other one is totally tight.

American Standard has been around so long. I was happy with the way they did the work. The only problem we have was the one sheet that was bad, but they came out and replaced it. They also came out and replace the shower leak. They stood behind their work. I was happy with everything.

Installation was a total nightmare and the tub has not worked correctly since it was put in over a year ago. At this point all I want them to do is take their tub out of my house and refund me my money. They tried to blame my plumbing for their tub not working so I agreed to have them send a plumber to my house with the agreement that they reimburse me for the plumber's bill if what he did didn't work. Well it didn't work and they haven't reimbursed me for the plumber's bill and now they won't even call me back. This has been a nightmare from the beginning, I didn't even complain about the holes left in my wall. Take my advice and don't put one of these in your home.

Originally, I was impressed with Kohler and then it turns out it wasn't a Kohler, it was American Standard. When I did call for a salesman to come down, I was thinking that it was Kohler. When he came, it was American Standard. My mom is 103 and that was the main reason of getting the walk-in bath. She's been amazing. She’s been getting in and out of the tub by herself. She doesn't want me to help her, but it was getting hard and I was getting nervous.
American Standard's customer service was wonderful. The salesman was wonderful. The installation guys were amazing. I live in a mobile home and it's really small, and her bathroom is small. At first, they came and they said, “You know what? We can't fit this in there.” I understood. I said, “I had my doubts anyway.” But they made it work. It took a couple of days, but they were awesome. They were very health-conscious. They always wore their masks and the main guy who ran the installation was very thorough. He did an outstanding job.
My mom loves the product. She didn’t bathe as much as she does now, which is good. She loves the jets. We had to go for a cheaper model in the long run with less jets, but she's still very happy about it. They wanted like 25,000. They're amazingly expensive. My mom said she was willing to do that, but not that much. She couldn't do the 25,000. For the 25,000, you get a bidet and 44 jets. When we said we can't do that and asked if there is a second best, they went down to 19. We didn't get the bidet, which is fine. We got another model that has less jets. It still turns colors. My mother is still very happy with it.

My wife and I picked American Standard because it's been in business for so long. The sales rep was very nice and the installation was beautiful. The installer was very conscientious and cleaned up everything very nicely. I told the guy when he got done that I would give him an A plus on his installation. He was very efficient and got the job done very well. The tub is easier for me to get in and out of than the old tub. I do like everything but I wish there was a way of turning the air down a little bit. It comes on pretty hard. The only question I have is when it was installed, they caulked around everything except where the tub meets the floor. I mentioned it to them and they suggested calling so I called. They said we should hear something within a couple weeks and that's been about three, four weeks ago now.

American Standard was the one who called me back among the other companies. The reps were all good although the installer took three days to install the tub. The man was by himself and he didn't have a helper. There are a couple of little things that they need to come back and fix. Some of the caulking is cracking and I have contacted him and told him. The only thing about the tub is I have to be seated to open and close the door. Maybe somebody a whole lot smaller than me wouldn't have that problem but it hits my knees.

I'm very happy with my American Standard tub. It's the greatest invention in the history of the world. That's what I keep telling people. I've had a lot of American Standard products. My husband passed away six years ago, but he always bought their toilets and everything. So I figured if they were good enough for him, they're good enough for me. The warranty was a big part of it, too. When you’re gonna spend $15,000, you have to know that somebody’s gonna be behind you.
The person who came out and gave me the estimate and scheduled the work was very knowledgeable and he did great. The installers were awesome. It was a little bigger job than normal because I already had a garden tub in there and it backed right up to the shower wall, so they had to build some little shelves and stuff around there to make it all look pretty, but you can't tell it wasn't always there. I had taken one bath since my husband died because it's too hard for me to get in and out of the tub. I always had to take showers. I prefer baths. And now I can take a bath again.

I slipped twice in my regular bathtub. I'm almost 80 years old. So my husband decided that I needed a walk-in tub. I can just walk in and do my thing and be done with it. The installer from American Standard was fantastic and he truly impressed me to no end. He was very professional and he worked until he got it done. He was all by himself and I felt so sorry for him. Then the next day, he had a helper with him. That young man did a fantastic job. It is a lot easier to get in the tub. There are some things that I don't like, but I'm getting used to it and I like the jets.

The salesperson was excellent. He knew what he was talking about. He explained things before we even had a chance to ask. He didn’t force anything. He went right ahead and we went through it right away. I called once and said we haven’t been billed yet. They said they'll call me and make sure the installation was fine. They did call and the installation was fine. It was installed May 8th and I have received no bill. I owe quite a bit of money ‘cause we’re financing. I’d like to start paying it so that I can get it off my back.

The installation with American Standard is going on the fifth week now. The toilet was broken when it was received. So it didn't go in with the tub at the same time. The extra toilet was supposed to bee here this week. But I haven't heard anything. It’s also a little expensive. Then there's a couple of jets that don't work on the tub. I've tried to screw the jets around and I can get by with one of them but the other jet doesn't work hardly at all. I've had a lot of problems with American Standard. But their sales rep was very good. She has been trying to get me another tub every week, and it just hasn't worked. I've also used the walk-in tub and it’s wonderful. It’s so relaxing.

American Standard is a good company and I wanted to make sure I got a good walk-in tub. The rep was wonderful and the installers were very polite, clean and thorough. They answered every one of the question that I had. We love the tub. I’m not sorry I bought it. My husband can get a bath by himself now. I came home one day and my leg hurt so bad. I filled the tub up just enough to cover my legs and it makes them feel so good. I use it like a little spa sometimes. The lights are also cool.

The rep from America Standard came to the house, looked at my space and then gave me a price. I got the highest model with all the jets but he didn’t tell me that there were different varieties of models. I would’ve gotten one that was a little cheaper but everything else went really well. The installation took almost a day and a half but the people were great. I got the walk-in tub for my mom. I've also tried it out a couple of times. My mom likes it, so it’s fine. But for me, it’s like you're just sitting straight up in it. I'm used to having that ability to lean back in a normal tub. So I would like it if I was able to lean back more.

We found American Standard in the American Legion magazine that we get and we didn't even look at any others. It just sounded good. The representative was great. They answered all our questions and explained everything. They got the installation all done in one day. We got a free bidet toilet with it. They took our other toilet out which was a little bit taller than the one in our other bathroom. They got rid of the short one and put it in the other bathroom at no extra charge.
We like that we can set the tub at any temperature and if you have the jets on, it maintains that temperature which is nice. My husband’s had rheumatoid arthritis since he was 35. The main reason we put the tub in is I've had my right hip and both knees replaced and I couldn't get on my knees to get out of the garden tub that we had. We also looked at replacing a shower but we have another stand-alone shower. We were looking at a soaking tub, but that would have been probably as hard to get out of. We're both in our 70s and we decided we're not gonna move from here. One of us will probably end up here alone, and we decided the walk-in bathtub was the best thing we could do. We tell our friends about it. I have no idea even as far as the price compared to the others, but we're very, very pleased with it.

The installation of our American Standard walk-in tub was wonderful. There were three fellas, an older man who explained everything, and two younger men that did a lot of the work, too. They installed the bidet and the tub in one day. They were gone by 4 o’clock. When I called and asked about Epsom salt, the rep told me that I had to dissolve it before I put it in. She also said not to use the gel-type soap and that it was not good.
The thing I like most is that we don’t have to fill it all the way up. We had a disaster the first time because we thought we had just the bottom jets on, but all the jets were on, so we had a lot of water around. My husband and I both have walking issues and neuropathy. We're in our 80s and have problems getting in and out of the tub. My husband has also gone through cancer treatments. The walk-in tub seems to help, which was one of the reasons we got it. Water is a very good hydrotherapist. It was one of the best things that we could do.

My mother has had serious mobility issues for some time now. She was struggling to stand up long enough to take a shower and could not in any way get into a bathtub. We had been thinking about it on and off for a while, but it was so expensive that we hadn’t gone that way. But it was just getting to a point where we really had no choice.
I did some research and was impressed with what I read about American Standard's lifetime warranty and the fact that they’ve been in business as long as they had. They seemed to stand behind their products. There were a few negative reviews, like there always are, but you kinda take that with a grain of salt and hope that you’re making the right decision.
They were able to get us in with the salesperson more quickly. The rep came to the house and did his spiel. He was really knowledgeable. Even some of the newer options on the tub that we ended up choosing were explained well even though he was a little new to it as well. We were happy ultimately with the choice. We had some installation issues. It was not necessarily the equipment’s or the installer’s fault, but they got here and fixed it in a timely manner. There’s always gonna be a few bumps in the road especially when you’re undertaking projects of this size and the rep was right on top of it. She always got back to us really quickly if we had a concern or problem. We were pretty happy with that.

4 Months of run around and 2 new water heaters later, I finally get to enjoy my tub. The salesman failed to tell me, my water heater wasn't large enough for the tub he sold me. After the installation I found myself sitting in a tub of cold water. My water heater was only 30 gallons and wasn't nearly large enough to fill this tub. They had checked out everything before selling it to me but failed to explain that I would have to add a new water heater to my bill. So after complaining to the company, I followed their suggestion and installed a tankless water heater. Then it took 20 mins to fill the tub because it was too much load on my new tankless water heater. I finally switched over to a full-size standard hot water heater and now, $6,000 later, I get to enjoy this tub. If they had told me I would have to spend extra money just to make this work, I would have made a different decision.

Both my wife and I are getting a little old and having some problems. I saw an advertisement and decided to look around and American Standard came up, and the first guy we called had American Standard. So, that was what we got. However, the installers tore up part of the tile in the bathroom, going into the bathroom and knocked a couple of holes in the wall. We didn't notice that until later on. They just walked-off and left it. But other than that, it wasn't too shabby. Everything has been going well. What we liked most right now is the convenience to get in and out and being able to take a bath or a shower when we want to. We're getting a new hot water tank because it uses a lot more hot water than we used to. But other than that, those things are okay. We're very satisfied with it.

I did some research on the internet and I compared the tub of American Standard with some of the ones that are more advertised. I went with American Standard. They are American made. There are also more features on this tub than some of the others. They have a better warranty than some of the others too. I like what they have - the backup to back up the warranty and the professional people. Not just the installers but the ones who carry it on from there. It’s a pretty good organization. I’ve been doing business with American Standard for 40 years.
The salesperson had called me and we talked a couple of times and he came out one time and showed me everything. Then it was a few weeks later that I made a decision. The installation went very well. Very professional people. They knew what they were doing. We had some issues on the first location and we had to move it to another bathroom that was bigger because the tub that we required was the biggest one, so we needed just a few more inches. So the other bathroom was better for that.
We love the tub. My wife has back issues. We went over this with the salesman early on and he said that a lot of people buy it for that reason. The jets were located in the perfect locations. She’s got L4-L5 on the lower back that got some bad issues, disk and then she’s got up on top, the lower part of the neck. C2 and C3 also are bad, so with the jets, it keeps her out of the wheelchair.

I saw American Standard's advertisement on TV. We've been wanting one for quite a while. We have a hard time standing in the showers. At the time, it seemed like the right one and I hadn't seen any of the commercials or anything else for a long time. I made the phone call and I got the information. I talked to somebody and we were gonna do it about a year ago but we were thinking about moving. We didn't so we just decided to have it put in.
Ann was the representative that came out and talked to us. She was informative and she helped me out. We have made a decision at the last minute and everything was right on. We started filling up the contract and she called whoever she had to call to make plans to have it installed. Fortunately, they had a sooner than later schedules and that worked for us better. Two guys came in and they were very professional and really nice guys. Every time they had to make a decision on what to do and how something that would be for our benefit or not, they come over and they grab me or my wife. They would take us back there, explain it to us, and we both would decide what we want, where we want it, what the finished product would be like. They went through the do's and don'ts and what fors on the tub itself.
I tell people all about what it does and what it doesn't do. I tell them about the lights, the jets, how fast it drains, and the water temperature staying at the temperature that it comes in the tub and does it for the length of time that we're in the tub itself. I took a video of the bubbles and the lights changing different colors and stuff. And people are really impressed.

I already knew I wanted it but at the last minute, I was gonna pull out of doing the tub because they sent the wrong one and it was gonna take more trying to get in here. There was a lot of confusion. But I did get the tub, which was the bigger one. I love it and I'm glad I got it now.

I liked American Standard's lifetime warranty, and the price point was more reasonable than the other one we were considering. The salesman was really good. Customer service was all right. I called about the problems we were having, and the installer called and said that he’d call back the following week because he was tied up. He never called back. I called customer service, and they didn’t do anything. Finally, my husband called customer service, and he talked to a gentleman, and he got things going. The installer called us, so we set up an appointment for this past Monday, and the installers of this thing came out and fixed everything that was wrong. As far as the product, the water pressure in the shower seems to be a little low. Other than that, it seems fine. I had back surgery a year ago, and I've noticed that the massage and the air jets seem to be really helping.

When you get old, you're afraid you're gonna fall and break something. The chances of that happening with my tub are pretty unlikely. The installers did a hell of a good job putting it in and didn't tear anything else up. We just got redoing the baths in and we were worried about that but they swept it in there. If somebody needed a walk-in tub, we'd certainly recommend American Standard.

I wanted a new tub for my physical condition, safety and comfort. American Standard had the right size so I went with them. They had a great website that I could get measurements from. The installation went real good. They started a day early and were finished by the day they were supposed to be there. They had to take the vanity and the toilet out and I had to disassemble the whole door frame to make the hole big enough.
Everything’s been great with American Standard except I raised one question before and I haven’t heard from them. It seems to be putting out more cold than it is putting out hot. I don’t know if there’s an adjustment for that. It’s tricky because you have to just lightly tweak the cold in the shower because it takes over, and we got some really hot water. I don’t even know if there’s a scald protector built into it. If there is, then that might need adjustment. Also, the catch drain on the bottom of the tub seems a little weak. I have slipped a couple times. After I drain it, I rinse the bottom before I try to stand up but I slipped. My mother doesn’t think it was a good decision to get it. She doesn’t like the space for taking a shower. It’s too small.

My husband used to work for American Standard, so I knew what quality of the product I was getting. The sales rep that came out was wonderful. I can't say enough good about him and he gave salesmen a good name. Also, the installation went great. They were very professional and effective. And I like everything about the tub. I'm at the age where getting in a traditional tub is difficult and dangerous for me. If I would try to take a bath and try to get out of the tub, I would hurt myself. The walk-in tub was something I had always wanted. And when I found that I could get it with the jets, that's even better because I have atrophy in my legs and it helps.

I was searching online for walk-in tubs and American Standard was the first one that called me back. The sales rep was friendly. He went over the options that we can have for the tub and the shower. When they first put it in, the installers worked hard. They were friendly and courteous but it took us months to get our bathroom door put up. I called and they said that my husband had signed something that said everything was finished. My husband paid for installing that tub. Why would he pay them in full and not have a door? That went on for months before we got a door put on. Other than that, I love the tub. I like the leg massage and that’s my favorite because I use it every time. I like the back massages and the air jets, too.

I liked how American Standard's tubs had more jets and that the water in it stays at the same temperature. I went with them and the rep whom I worked with was very informative. He was very precise about what the tub would do. The techs who came to install it were very good. They took their time and did what was necessary. They followed up the next day to make sure they had everything done. So far, I like being able to fill it and when it gets halfway full above my knees, I can turn on the bottom part jets until it gets totally filled. Then, I can turn on the rest of the jets, lay back and relax.

They have wires routing along the floor which is a safety hazard with a possible wet situation. Other than this issue, the tub has been great and we like everything about it. I’ve seen the American Standard advertised and I felt like that was the best one to go to. I like the low step-in feature and I can sit down and take a shower if I want to. The sales representative was great then the installation went perfectly. The crew was here a little bit late the first morning and they had to finish it up the next morning. They did a great job and cleaned up behind themselves. I was well satisfied.

The sales rep was knowledgeable and knew exactly what she was talking about. The installers were very professional, knew what they were doing and answered all my questions. Something went wrong with the computer in there and they had to get a new one. So, that took another week, but that's not their fault. I like the shower and I was in the hospital last week so I only used the whirlpool once but it works great. I have a little bit of trouble with slipping then I called American Standard in Texas. They sent me another pack of those non-slip strips. The first time I used the walk-in tub, I got up and I got dizzy. I was worried about it because I'm having some heart problems with my artery. They sent a doctor and he said that it was because the whirlpool bath is so relaxing that my blood pressure drops way down and it makes me dizzy.

The American Standard sales rep was all right and the installation went well. I like sitting in my tub the most. However, it's not deep enough and doesn't get to your back. There is also a little bit of cool water coming out of the jets to the back. But it helps my wife's legs. She has neuropathy.

I bought a tub for my aunt and uncle. When I did that order, I told my sales guy to make sure that they save the old tub because it’s a designer one and I had committed to giving it to somebody else in the family. I wasn’t there for the whole installation and this is what I found when I came back. The installer cut the tub up. I asked why he did that and he said that it made it easier to get it out. I also asked about the gold fixtures and he said that they were at the bottom of that. At that point, it was beaten up and so it wasn't even worth going to look for. He said that it wasn’t on the ticket that he was supposed to save the tub. Well, common sense would tell him. Why would he tear up a tub that expensive and nothing wrong with it?
My aunt and uncle are in their 70s and my uncle's wheelchair-bound, so I was trying to do something to give him a chance to where he could get in and out of the tub, which he enjoys. That didn’t turn out very good. I’m waiting for American Standard to get back to me and let me know how they’re going to balance that out. They have a good product, it was just the installation part of it. I'm giving them to the end of the month.

The American Standard rep was a good salesman. He explained everything to us and gave us advice. He also told us how we could get it financed. The installation took about five days. Luckily, I have another bathroom, so it wasn’t too bad. But the installers had to come back and reset the valve part, which was not working properly. My favorite feature is the showerhead. With the walk-in tub, I’m more at ease because I don’t have to step over it. I can go and don’t have to worry about falling down. It has been great.

The salesperson was professional and friendly. He was knowledgeable about his product. The only criticism I have of him is he underpredicted how much time it was going to take to install the tub, but it didn't turn out to be a big problem. He said, “It might take up to three days but it’d probably take maybe one day.” And it took all of three long days. He should have probably looked in detail where the tub was going to be installed and how to get the tub there because it’s on the second floor and my wife is semi-handicapped, so we have one of those electric stair chairs on the stairway that goes upstairs. That turned out to be a reasonably difficult problem for them to move the tub up the stairs because of the amount of space that takes up. And the person should’ve warned the installers that they were going face that.
The installers maybe didn't realize the difficulty in running the electrical connection to the tub, which was in a secondary bathroom, and they expended a lot of effort to get the power to the tub. The installers didn't seem to be able to figure out a way to run the electrical powerlines to the tub inside the house. So, it now has its own conduit on the outside of the house, which there are better ways of doing it but it would be more difficult. That should’ve been something that the salesperson discussed with me if he had known about it. I wasn’t really pleased with how the installers did it, but they did it the way they did it. It’s something we would just live with. The tub works fine and the insulation looks good, so they were professional about that. Also, they were good. They communicated with us well.
It’s a tub that we got for my wife. The tub itself as a fixture has been working out really well for her, so we’re happy we got it. We had a tub with jets and things like that in our regular bathroom. And we had our master bath redone about three years ago mainly to increase the safety for her, but she found that she couldn't use a regular tub. A walk-in tub has turned out to be a lot better for her. She likes the tub. She likes the fact that it has an extra spray nozzle attached to it. Some of the features don’t really make much difference to us, like it has an LED that you can turn on. But it’s nice that it has at least two levels of fill that you can use. You can do it around your legs or all the way up to the top, and she uses that. There might have been other companies that will provide something, but this one came with a good warranty and they did a good job when they got it up the stairs and installed it, and told us how to work it, so it worked out okay.

American Standard Walk-in Baths looked like a better deal than the other brand. Their salesperson was excellent. He made everything very plain and all the questions I asked him, he was able to give me all the answers and he just made me feel good about the whole deal. The installation went well, but we didn't know that we needed a larger tank and we couldn't afford it. He didn't realize that until he filled the tub up and it didn't fill all the way up and the water got cold. But we're using the shower and we love it. You sit down and you can pull the shower thing down and water all over and everywhere and it's really nice. It's very comfortable.

We bought a walk-in tub because my wife has a health problem. However, I don’t have a good experience with American Standard. The installation and the installers were both okay. However, what I don’t like about it is that it takes 15 minutes to fill it up and my hot water heater is not quite big enough, so I might need to get another one. We have only used it once or twice because it takes too long to fill it up and we just basically use it for a shower. And then some of the caulking around the edge is coming up. But then it costs over $1,000 and American Standard said they will send the manual with it to be able to see how all the different features on it works, but they never did. They never called and asked me how it was going. They just got the tub installed and got the money and that was it.

I liked the way the American Standard walk-in tub looked and thought it would be a good one, which was why I chose them. The sales rep was very nice and the man that put the tub in was wonderful. It took two days to install. I love the tub. I accidentally left the door undone one day and that was a bad day. Otherwise, it's very good. It feels cozy and it's very comfortable. I really enjoy it. I use it more than I do the shower anymore. I'm really proud of it. I showed it off and got a lot of compliments.

American Standard is a US product. The sales rep was very pleasant and the installers were excellent. It turned out that the first tub couldn’t be installed because of the size of the hallway, and they stayed on it and got the right size.

A guy came to our house and presented everything. He was good except for one factor. One water heater doesn’t do it. You need two water heaters. And I just had a brand new one put in for this. The installers came in the morning. They knew what they were doing. I like the part where you can fill it up just for your feet and your legs, and then the lights. I like how fast it fills and how fast it drains. We’re satisfied and we love it. I just need to call them because one of the jets is not working.

American Standard is one of the oldest companies around. I know they weren't gonna just up and disappear like some of these companies do. Their sales rep was pretty neat. He answered a lot of the questions that I had to ask him as far as durability and workmanship. I liked him pretty much. He was a good person to sell me the tub.
The installers were great. Stewart went through stuff that I would've never thought to ask. He explained everything well and their personalities really made it a lot easier too because they're just people-friendly. I really enjoyed them even being there. They cleaned up well too and their workmanship was really nice. I was pleased after they had got through with it and explained some stuff to my husband. 'Cause my husband's the one that put the tile on, so they had to explain how to do it with the rock and stuff that you had to put in behind the tile. It was pretty neat. I love the tub. 'Cause I get out and work in the yard, and sometimes my back and legs just kill me and I can get in that and just let the pain and everything dissolve away.

I had two other schedules and I ended up canceling them for American Standard Walk-in Baths. I like the lights and massage. I had to use little steps to get into it because I'm hard to get into stuff. The only problem I'm having right now is I don't have enough hot water to get the water up to power where I could sit back and relax. The representative thought that I'd have to finish part of the floor up after they put the tub in. But fortunately, we didn't have to. They covered the whole place, where we would have to put more linoleum on. I like the final product, but the door is hard to latch. They came and fixed it.

Everything went very well with our American Standard Bath. The job was done beautifully. The installers did everything nicely. They cleaned up afterward. We’re happy with it. I like the jet sprays. It’s good for the massage. They did a good job.

American Standard is a company that’s been around for years and I liked everything that I saw in the tub. It works out fine for me because I had many back surgeries. I have rods in my back, which makes it difficult for me to even try to take a shower. I can't stand that long. The salesman came and told us everything about the tub. He was very nice and didn’t put any pressure on us. He just gave us the information and told us that we could think it over and decide what we wanted.
The American Standard boys put the tub in in two days and did a wonderful job. They were very nice and polite. They were also very conscientious about how much of a mess they would make. They put cardboard down from the front door all the way to the bathroom, where they had to take our other old tub out. We also got the right height toilet with it, and that helped a lot, too. They ran back and forth to get the tools they needed. I told them they could leave everything here, but they said, “No.” They packed everything up and took it with them. The next day they came back and had to unpack all their tools again. They had to take out the doorframe off in the bathroom to get our old tub out. Cutting the tub in half to get it out of the house made black dust, but they ran a sweeper and cleaned up after themselves.
I got the tub for its handheld shower and my husband even likes it because you can sit down, wash your hair, and shower if you want to, or you can lock the door, fill the tub up with water, and then use the bubbles to massage your legs or your whole body. They made it very nice. My daughter even used it the other day and said that if she had it, she didn't think we'd ever get her out of it.

We’ve done a lot of surfing on this tub. I’ve read every ad on that. Now, they’re advertising it $1,500 off a week after I got the tub installed. Before, I had to do some digging to get American Standard numbers, and I called Texas with this virus was going on. Finally, the paper had a small ad in it and it was a local number, instead of Texas. I called that. After a while, I got a call from a man and he wanted to come on a Sunday, which was a red flag to me, although I told him yes so he came. Well, this man had all kinda identification. He was definitely a straight nice guy. We went over the whole thing on the whole tub, explained everything about it, looked the house over, and told me they would make a door bigger.
I ordered one and within a week, they wanted to put it in on the 5th of May. I had an appointment that day and I couldn’t do it. They asked on the 6th and I said yes. They would call me on the 5th at night. I told them that I’ve got a late appointment and they said they would leave a message. I got home at 7 o’clock that night, and there were two messages. I called them and they said they’d come at 8 o’clock, and they did. They had a four-man crew and said that they could do it in one day, but it might run a little over time. I told them not to worry as we go to bed late. They ran into a few problems and the last man left a quarter after 11:00 that night, which was fine with me. They filled the tub with water and said to leave it set for 24 hours.
I’ve seen a lot of other ads on TV of other walk-in tubs, and I didn’t price any other walk-in tubs. I wanted the one with the most jets, which I believe I have. It's great on the legs. You get out of there relaxed and feel a lot better. We’ve been planting garden. Both my wife and I are at age and tired. We come in and that tub does wonders for us. So far, we love it. My legs still bother me, but I haven’t used it religiously. I like the way it drains. People are amazed when they come in the house and then they look at the tub. They all ask if it's big and I tell them it’s bigger than I thought it would be. The installers papered our carpet and they brought their tools in. They carried that tub in and wanted me sitting in there and taking pictures of it.

American Standard's sales rep was very informative and was here for about an hour. He gave us a very good description of everything and that's the reason why we went with them. The installation was also very good. I was concerned about that especially during this pandemic and I put it off for one month because I thought it was gonna be traumatic for my husband with everything that would take place to install it. I was also hopeful that there weren’t any glitches and that it couldn’t go through, though we would’ve been left with a mess.
But when the gentleman and his assistant came, they were very efficient and the whole thing went very smoothly. It took a few hours and it was around 7 o’clock by the time they left. But I was very satisfied with their maneuvering around the house. Plus, they didn't mind my husband sitting there and watching what was going on. He’s an electrical contractor by trade, so he knows a lot of things but he didn’t interfere with them. I spent the time doing some cooking, so I sent them home with banana bread and some of the meal that I was making. They were quite taken back, but I’m sure they enjoyed it.
So far, we’ve been using the walk-in bath and we really feel that it’s sufficient for our needs. I don’t see any problems at the moment but knowing that I have a lifetime guaranty gives me peace of mind that if anything happens, it will be taken care of. I also like the safety issues of the tub which was the reason why I got it. My husband has Parkinson and sometimes he's a little unbalanced. So, I don’t have to worry if he decides to go in and take a shower on his own without me standing over. He likes it, too. At first, he thought he only had to take baths but he was surprised when I said we can set the shower up. They provided us with the shower bar and all, so now he’s comfortable on his own.
As for me, I thought I would have more of a room. I’m 5’7” but I was looking forward to a real Jacuzzi bath because in our other homes, we always had a Jacuzzi. Unfortunately, I realized I can’t sit down deep in our American Standard walk-in tub and that's one issue that I’m a little bit disappointed in. When I asked how to really soak in the tub, I was told I could lean down and so forth. But that’s not good for someone my height and it certainly wouldn’t be good for somebody taller than me. Both my husband are not heavy weight, so that’s why he said this tub would be sufficient. But they had to provide us with the tub that they did because of the space that we had and I can live with it because it’s nobody’s fault. Other than that, I’m not gonna let that known to anybody because all I’m doing is bragging about I have a Jacuzzi now.

American Standard seemed like the best shot for us compared to the others due to the cost. Their installers did an admirable job of putting it in. I’m satisfied. When they had left, I went to do something in the basement and found out there was a slight electrical problem. A circuit breaker had to be moved. I called them and they actually came back on their way home and straightened it out. But I have four little jets on the bottom that are not working. Other than that, the other features work fine. My wife and I are taking turns using the walk-in tub. I like the aromatherapy and the bubbles feel good on the back.
Everything went really well with American Standard except their rep and my wife had a disagreement. We got our first bill and we were supposed to have zero interest for a while, and it turned out not to be zero interest. We’re paying 10%. Otherwise, everything he said and represented was great. We’re gonna get a separate loan and pay the minor discrepancy off and get done with it.

I’ve known American Standard for years and that they’ve always been a good product. And they seem to still be. I got the impression that I would have to pay extra for the installer to finish off where the tile is different on the floor and the walls. He said he could do the work, but maybe he wanted to charge me extra. But then we had this COVID 19 stuff and I haven’t had anybody that was able to come in and finish the tile work. The tub is really nice. I’m 78 years old and I have a replaced knee. I couldn’t get out of a plain tub. Medically, the walk-in tub is much easier on me. I love it. After I play tennis and everything's hard, the jets really feel good. Most of everybody sticks to the showers and I don't think they realize how the jets can make you feel better. I tell others that the American Standard walk-in tub is a lot better than getting another tub.

We like the number of jets and American Standard was a little bit better in some ways. Their sales rep was good. I got it mainly for me as a safety issue. It could be a little bit shorter in the walk end. But with the one bar, I'm able to pull myself in. And last week, I started being able to use it by myself, and thus, gain some independence. We had just gotten a new hot water tank. It probably could have been a little bigger so there's a way we need to adjust the water in order to get the warmest or hottest water possible. My husband usually helped me with that and showed me where the water needed to be in order to turn on the jets and things like that. But I can do it now myself, so I got independence back.

I like the looks of American Standard Walk-in Baths and what I read about them. Also, my plumbers prefer installing American Standard because it's good quality. My plumbers are excellent and I trust them. But the salesman from American Standard could have done a lot better. I wished there would just be a set price instead of how it was handled. I also thought that the one that was on television that they were advertising was a step up from mine. I didn't realize that I have the same one with the 44 jets because of the way the salesman had said it. He worded that this tub was as good as I'd need and I wouldn't need any better. So, I always felt the one on television was better. Other than that, I love my walk-in tub.
The handyman, the electrician and the plumber who came out were all excellent. I absolutely love them and those are the guys that I'll recommend to anybody. Some of the other professionals that came in and saw how my tub was installed were shocked and amazed because they said they saw some others that were not installed like mine and all kinds of nightmares. Mine was so professionally done. That's why I just absolutely love the guys that did the installation.
I can get in and out of the tub without hurting myself because I have fibromyalgia. I fell and I broke some ribs. Right now, I am very sore and I can't use the tub but I can't wait to get back in it. It is phenomenal and I love it. I go in the tub and it gets everything circulating. Then for quite a while, when I'm laying down, I just feel so much better. It helped a lot.

The sales rep was kind, very thorough, and very professional, and then, the installer was too. He was very knowledgeable of everything that needed to be done, and then, it was pretty quick how they got it done. They were really nice. The installer went over everything very thoroughly before he left. The tub fits perfectly. When the salesman and the man who came in to install came over, they were amazed at where it was going in the bathroom. It was a perfect fit. The guy who did the installation said, “Most of the time, you have to do so much more remodeling to make it fit. This one is like it’s a perfect situation.” The only problem we have is the tub takes so much water to fill it up. The water tank is cold before it could get filled up. I have to get a plumber to come out and install a new hot water heater or maybe one of those tankless ones so that it provides constant hot water to it.
We got the tub for my father-in-law but he has since passed away. But my wife uses it all the time and she loves it. She goes in there and just relaxes and stays a long time. And believe it or not, other members of our family would come over to use it. So, I’m going to start charging them to come over and take a bath. American Standard has been great.

It’s so deceiving when it shows people on the television taking a bath and you see they’re resting so nice. They’re all prone and their heads are just above the water. However, my knees could hit the side of the wall underneath the faucets for you to get down that low. I’m pretty spry for an old guy. But for older people or shorter women, they can’t do that. I could put my knees up against that wall and lay down a little bit. I wish I was a little taller, but that has been difficult. I’m sure I’m not the only one because I feel sorry for the women. They’re all short. Otherwise, your butt comes off that ledge of the seat. And women can’t use that. They have to squat down and scooch a bit to get the water up higher.
When you spend $15,000 on something like that, you expect a better of a position there. My cousin and my sister used it and they had the same problem. They even said, “You spent all that money for this?” Unless there is an adapter you can put in there for your butt to rest on, you can't go to its side just below your butt where you could just rest it a bit. I could’ve sold one of them for American Standard. But they used it and and that seat is short. Your knees wouldn’t fit right. They could have a portable extension on it which they could manufacture. American Standard's and all the other three competitors have the same problem. It’s really deceiving. But that’s the only problem with it and probably the very big one. The installer did an excellent job.

I had a son who died of the same disease as my husband and I went through a really hard time. I have an upstairs on my home and I’m by myself. I thought to myself that I couldn't climb the stairs anymore and that I was going to make a decision on what I was going to do. I have two kids left and I told them then they said to go ahead. Years ago, I asked what kind of toilet and other things I should get and the person who worked in maintenance at work said that I should always get American Standard, so I did. I found out that it was very expensive, but that’s okay because it’s well worth the money.
The sales rep was a very nice gentleman and he was very informative. He showed me all these slides. He showed me everything and talked to me. I kept trying to guess the price, and I said 20,000 right off the bat. He said maybe it was less or a little more, give or take. It turned out being 17,500, but I was happy to pay it because I absolutely love the tub. I love the blue lights, the aromatherapy, and the bubbles. I just love the way I feel when I get out of it too. Everything’s been great. I’ve already recommended to my one lady friend and if she lives long enough, she’ll probably get it.
When the tub was being installed, the people came in about 6 o’clock that morning. They then left about 6:00 that evening and everything was done. The gentleman that did most of the work was a plumber and he was really informative as well. He told me exactly what to do and how to work the tub. There were two young men as well, a carpenter and an electrician. They came in, took down the door jambs and it scared the living tar out of me. I’ve got a beautiful home, and I thought, “Uh-oh.” When they left here though, you couldn’t even tell anything was done. They did a beautiful job.

I decided to try American Standard and they have them at Lowe’s and Home Depot, but they said they had installers available and they didn't. They refer you to some other number, and it turns out to be HomeAdvisor then you start getting all kinds of sales calls instead of people who are installers. It was difficult finding somebody who wasn’t with American Standard to install it. When I finally got two people to quote the installation, they seemed rather reluctant and not all that interested, so I went with American Standard and the installers were great.
They got it done in a little less than two days and they put everything back as much as they could. Now, there's still some painting that needs to be done, but they did a lot of reinstallation of the doors and everything they said they were going to do. Another thing is that it only took a phone call to take care of our little problem with the tub. We weren’t getting any flow through the lower jets by our feet, the ones below the faucet, and the guy said that it’s not in the owner’s manual, but there's a little bar inside that goes up and down on the side of the jet. He said it doesn’t require any tools, but my son used a screwdriver.
Anyway, he turned those things and he turned them 180 degrees. There was no flow. He turned them another 180 and there was full flow. Nobody told us that they can be controlled that way and it ought to be in the owner’s manual, but it isn't. Still, even though we haven't tried the aromatherapy, all the other stuff is everything that Al said it would be. He was fine as well. In fact, I called him again a week or so after the tub was installed. We’re considering tearing down and rebuilding our lake house up at Lake Rayburn and we would like to have a walk-in tub there, so I tried to get some information from him.

Everybody from American Standard was wonderful. They were very nice people. And then, the installation went great. It took half a day. I really like the tub, but I’m not happy with how many problems we had and how long it took to get resolved. It leaked right from the door. And then American Standard put a new one on, and now they came and fixed it twice, but then it would leak again. The third time, they replaced the door, but it had a big gouge in it. It wasn't the fault of the person that put the door on. It came that way. So, they didn't do a good job wrapping it when they mailed it. The tech put it on anyway and it worked great.
We complained because we didn’t want a big chip on the door when it’s brand new. A kit came to fix it, but then it was yellowish, not white. They didn't send the whole kit to fix it. So, they ended up putting on another door. But now this door, you have to walk it all the time or it would not close all the way. But I haven't called and complained about that because I’m just over it. I like the tub but sorry we got it just because of all the trouble we’ve had. The tub now works great. I really enjoy it. However, for the money that you pay for these tubs, you shouldn’t have that many problems.

I was looking on the internet at different walk-in tubs and one of American Standard's representatives called me back. He explained everything and showed us what he had there as far as the brochure. There were pictures of what the functions were. The installers didn't finish on the first day and the installation took a little over a day. The tub works great as a shower or as a tub, either one. It's all convenient. I also have the water and air jets for a good massage.

The American Standard salesman was from the East Coast. He was kinda an older, suave guy. He made the tub sound like a suite. I got an estimate from someone that was a little bit cheaper, but I liked everything about the guy. He demonstrated and explained how everything would go. That was kinda my deciding factor. The installation was quick. The installers came in, did their business, and got out of here. I got the tub for my parents and they really enjoy it. My dad takes about four baths a day. I'm very satisfied with my American Standard exp and I would refer somebody else to them.

The American Standard installers acted like they knew what they were doing. The house was built in the 50s and it was a real tight fit. They had to make a little cutaway in the hallway to get the tub in, but they patched it up good. I can't be very comfortable stretching out in the walk-in tub. I got my butt laying on the edge of the seats, and my legs kinda support me to keep me in the seat and to keep me from falling down. Also, on opening, the door is not very big. I thought it was supposed to be a square opening, but it didn't turn out to be. Other than that, my walk-in tub does my feet and legs good. The jet pressure at the bottom makes my feet feel better and it got my feet circulating a little bit better.

I've been using American Standard all of my grown up life. Changing out toilets, sinks, and tubs as well, it has just been American Standard. When the the tub was installed, the process was a breeze. The people were courteous, kind, and considerate. They even went out of their way to show me every move they were going to make. Their clean up was phenomenal too. They cleaned up as they went, and if I had any questions they were there to answer them. I'm on vacation, and I miss my tub. The therapeutic benefits are wonderful. My arthritis doesn't bother me anymore and my back pain has gone down to nothing, and the swelling in my legs. It's the massage part, and I love every bit of it. It's helped me tremendously in the short time that I've had it.

American Standard's rep came and talked to us. He was great and he told us all the pros and how everything worked. He showed us all the information too. He measured out our bathroom and let us know what we could and could not do. The installers were awesome too. They were so clean and they took great care of all of our stuff.
However, there is a little drain that collects water where the door is which seems to get clogged up. The water then goes out on the floor. I used a syringe the way the guy did a plunger and got the water to go out. We live in Florida and it could be that sand got into that drain. Still, I've talked to people in my community about my American Standard tub. Now that gyms are closed, being able to come home and get into the tub helps me a lot. American Standard's installers also put in a shower rod for us which I really love.

American Standard’s been in business for a long time, so they know what they're doing. The salesman was pretty good. I was rather surprised at the price of it, but I’ve done some research on it, and I knew they were quite expensive. And our tub's exactly what we wanted when we were down in Florida. The installation was pretty good. I was expecting more people, but there was just one guy. We were about ready to leave on the 24th of April. The company said the nearest they could get us was the 2nd or 3rd of April. They were here on the 4th of April, and they put it in in one day. That rather surprised me. It looked pretty good, too. It matched everything, and the guy cleaned up his mess, and the plumbing was okay.
I thought the bathtub was gonna weigh too much for a mobile home, but it went right in on the brace, which was good, which held the weight. If you live in a mobile home, you can’t sit in a bathtub. Because once you sit in it, the water goes over the edge because they're too damn small. My wife and I saw this on a commercial, and I said, “You know what? That’d be good for you,” because she likes to take a bath sometimes. I was rather surprised on the drainability of the tub because everybody I talk to say, “I’m afraid of buying one because it’ll take too long to drain.” American Standard lived up to the commercial and it drained in one minute because it’s got a separate pump to pump out the water.
We had a small water heater, and the salesman said, “Hey, you may wanna put in a bigger water heater.” So, we put in a 40 or 50-gallon water heater. And when the wife got in there, it still wasn’t enough because it only fills it up maybe about an inch or two inches below the top blower. I'll get another water heater. Right now, it’s factory-set at 120. I gotta set it at 130, but that increased the odds of getting burnt by hot water. I told my wife, “You’re gonna be putting less hot water, but more cold water in there to neutralize the heat of the water, and then, you should have more water in the water heater remaining.” ‘Once you fill that tub, you drain totally the water heater if you don't increase the temperature of the water heater.

My wife needed a walk-in tub. She had a stroke, and she needed it to help with her muscles. The purchase and installation went fine. It went according to plan. The tub’s beautiful and works great and is perfect. My wife is able to get in and out of the tub now, which she couldn’t before.

I've been wanting a walk-in tub because I have two artificial knees. I can't get out of a regular bathtub. I wanted a walk-in tub and I wanted a good one. The sales rep of American Standard was fine. The purchase process was all right as well. The installation team was very polite, very neat and they were friendly. I love it because I can just walk in and sit down and shut the door and take a bath. And I don't have to climb in and out and hang on the steps. I just really like it. I wanted the security of not falling.

I grew up with American Standard products in our home when I was growing up. The installers did a good job with the walk-in tub. But I've got a few issues. I just been waiting for this Coronavirus kind of settled down to call them back in. I got three or four items that need repair already. But I've not had it that long. One of the handles is loose, and the drain pops up and it won't stay down. But my wife likes it because of the jets. She has rheumatoid arthritis and it makes her legs feel a lot better. I was involved in an almost fatal car accident a year ago, and it helps my legs. So the jets is the best feature. But a little wider door would have been better since both my legs are broken. So I have a little bit of hard time getting in and out of it. But I can do it and I get it done. They should have put like a detent when you put the tub in the drain position to lock it open until you move the knob. It currently doesn't do that. It just slides back.

We have other American Standard products in our house but I originally saw it online. It’s a name that I know and it is reliable. The sales rep came to the house and presented all the features. He talked to us about how it would work. Igor, the installer, was a sweetheart and I liked him. He did an excellent job and the installation went very smoothly. He and his helper were here from 8 o’clock in the morning till 7 o’clock at night. The jets are my favorite features. They feel good and I love the lights too.

I couldn't get in and out a bathtub and I looked at about a half dozen companies. When the American Standard rep came down, he showed me the good and bad. He was good. I made up my mind right there that I was gonna get it. The installers were really, really good. They came in, got the other tub out, hooked that other one up, and they were out of there within all about three hours. I like everything about the tub except that it doesn’t have a soap dish. I squeezed one in there, between the hot and cold handles. But they need to put one somewhere on there where you’ll have it all the time. You don’t have to be afraid that you get that thing filled up with water and drop your soap, you’re in trouble.

I went to my phone to try to find some tubs and I found American Standard. After I talked to them, I checked with someone else. But American Standard offered a better deal and more things that came with the tub, so I went back to them. The rep I talked to was very good, but he got a little upset with me because I didn’t take the deal at first. Then, the installer came out and he was excellent. He explained everything to me and he didn’t leave until I understood everything about the tub. All in all, I wish I bought it earlier. The tub is relaxing plus I have terrible knees, and the jets and things are wonderful. I love it.

I’ve seen American Standard on TV and I had a Jacuzzi which was too deep for me to get in. I’m in the house by myself and I decided to go and purchase a tub from them. Everything was wonderful with the sales rep and the installation. I wish though that the seat was a little lower, where you won’t have to run that much water and it’ll come up to your shoulder. But that’s the only thing that I see that I disagree with.

We couldn’t get our American Standard tub in so they switched us over to the walk-in shower, and it’s beautiful. It’s great. We did the walk-in tub to my specifications because I’m handicap, and I’ve used it and it’s perfect. I don’t have any fear of getting in the tub now at all. The American Standard rep was good, thorough, and he was always available if I had a question. Initially, American Standard called, and we had been wanting to do it. We checked around by phone with the other companies and their prices were not compatible. Plus, I got some discounts with American Standard which were great.

American Standard has the pump that pumps out the water afterwards that purges the lines, the low walk-in step and the heat that’s in the pump like a hot tub. Those were the issues I felt were important. Their sales rep was very good. He did a very good presentation. He didn’t pressure us on the purchase. We had looked at several other companies and, by far, his was the most professional.
The installers did a good job. The only thing that I was concerned about was that afterwards they did not wipe down the walls and there was construction debris on the tiles. I had to go in afterwards and clean it down with Clorox wipes just to get the dirt off. They were trying to get finished, and that was something they missed. They had gone over quite a bit of time and were trying to do everything so that everything was secure. But they worked very well. They were just trying to put a lot of stuff into one day. They had to work with the masks and trying to get around that and then they had to work around each other in a little tiny space. It’s a small bathroom. The worker, assistant to the plumber, did a very good job. She was in and out and had everything ready for him so he was able to put things together rather quickly.
We’ve been very happy with our American Standard. We’ve used it quite a bit. We like that we get to sit and relax. We haven’t used the aroma therapy because one of us has COPD. We like the chromatherapy and the heat, and it was good. We’re snowbirds and we’re gonna have them come up to New York and do it in our other house.

I called American Standard and they gave me a young man who came and measured everything. He also gave us the advertisement on their walk-in tub. We went with them and the installation went excellently. Two men, Nick and Ion, installed our tub and they did it in eight hours. They worked together beautifully. So far, we like the tub very much. My spouse needed it badly as I was afraid he might fall in the other tub that we had. Now he can have some railing. It's wonderful.

We decided to go American Standard was because of that ad. And we had American Standard toilet and we’d known American Standard for a long time. Installation couldn't have gone any smoother. It went better than what they told us. They were done in one half a day and it was done right. Having it is much safer. We’re not worried about falling now with the shower or taking a bath. it is pretty easy to get in and out of. If there was a way to make it a little bit quieter with the jets and the air on, that would be nice. They could also work on their faucets. Having two individual faucets sometimes is kind of a pain to get it adjusted right. And then to shut it off and start it up again. Maybe they can work on some kind of a single-control faucet so we wouldn’t have to readjust the hot and the cold every time you turn it on and off. But other than that, my wife just loves the bubbling and stuff around her body.

I did some research and the American Standard reviews were great. They also delivered as promised. Once they came out and estimate, they were very informative about what the warranty entails, and we went with it. The guy that worked was fantastic. Before, Richard had a standard tub, which no way he would have been able to lift his leg over safely to get into it. But with this walk-in tub and shower, he just goes in to have a seat there. He can be independent while showering.

I saw American Standard on the TV and I saw how it shoots out those thingy water. Their customer service was pretty good. They were nice. We had two things done. It's got a seat in it where you can sit down and bathe. I like that part. Eventually, if you have problems where you can't get up on your own, that seat's gonna come in handy.

I’ve known about American Standard for years, but I also got one of those old gizmos in the mail that gave me money off. I also wanted something that was built in America. That’s why I went with them. Their sales person was great. He told me he was from New Jersey. He came down here to help out in this area. And so, he was very nice.
We had some delays with the installation. They didn’t wanna work on Sunday. First of all, they wanted to come on a Sunday. But told them I gotta go to church. Then, when the pandemic started, our Bishop said, “No, if you’re over 80. You don’t go anywhere. You stay home.” So, I was hunkered down. The installers were coming all the way up in Maryland, and I don’t think they wanted to travel on Sunday. So, it took an extra day but it was not a big deal. I love the tub because I can just relax in it and it helps. I have severe arthritis in my back and my legs. At 82 years old, I got a lot of problem, and it relieves a lot of the pain. I’m very happy with it.

I have been disappointed with the lack of features for someone with handicaps. We bought this with the expectation of a setup that would be suitable for someone with handicaps. There should be a soap holder built into the sidewall that someone can reach when seated. The floor is slippery and my footing is not secure. To stand up to shower the upper part of my body or reach the shower arm or adjust the water, I have to hold onto the faucets or the spout. It needs a handhold on the door and by the faucet. I shower without assistance and the door is difficult to latch. I have to use the only handhold as a place to put my washcloth. I cannot reach the front when seated and must balance my shampoo and soap on the side ledge. When I'm done, I must get completely out in order to reach my towel and get back in. I recommend that anyone with handicaps visit a store and look at the tub before you buy it.

My wife had been talking about a new bathtub. We’ve been seeing the advertisement of American Standard. When that came up, I clicked on it to get some information on it, and while I was still looking at it, our phone rang, and it was somebody from Ashland calling about it. I liked my experience with their rep. She was very nice. She seemed knowledgeable about what she was doing. She told me exactly what they’d have to do and that they would have to take the door frames off to get it in there. And she seemed to know exactly what she was doing.
The installation went smooth as silk. They were another bunch that seemed to know exactly what they were doing. They pulled in, and when the doors opened, they started working, they didn’t stop till they left. I like the tub. But I wasn’t as crazy about it as my wife is. My wife has arthritis pretty bad and she likes it for that. It helps with her hands. And it also helps because she just had back surgery.

My mother was having some mobility issues and she was afraid of falling. I saw in the American Standard commercial how they had wide doors and it was gonna be easy for her to access and be safe. The guys came and installed the tub. They did all the work in a timely fashion and were professional. My mother had an episode while she was here. She fell and they helped me get her up and get her squared away. They were to the rescue with me with that so they were really good. She was out in the living room and they were back there working. For a long time, my mother was just washing up at the sink ‘cause she was afraid to step over the thing to get in the bathtub wall. But now, with that walk-in tub, she can sit down in there and take a nice, warm bath. It's convenient and my mother feels safe.

I’ve been researching the various tubs for about a year and because of the expense, I kept putting it off. But my husband has neuropathy and diabetes, and I read some place that the tub helped with that. So, I decided to go ahead and invest in a tub to see if that helps. I purchased from American Standard and everything went great with them. The sales rep was good and he gave us the details. He told us the cost and he didn't misrepresent it in any way as to what we could expect. He also said that it would be installed by their own installers, that it'd be guaranteed for life, and that they would do the maintenance if it needed any. Then, we had a great team of young people who came out to install it. We had some tile work to do after it was installed, but the installation went well.
So far, I like the tub. We bought the one with the door that swings out for the ease of getting in for my husband and it fit in the space without any trouble. The finished product looks good, too. I’m a real estate agent and whenever you customize a property with something like that, you hope that it doesn’t become less desirable for anybody else that’s gonna buy it. But I don’t think that it will. I just had the house appraised and the appraiser said that the bathrooms had been updated. And he did not retract the value of the house at all. So, you always wonder if it will because some people might want one, some people might not want one. It’s hard to know, but for us, it worked out well.

American Standard was recommended by AARP. I also like the fact that it had a door that opens outwards instead of inward. I had no problems with my experience with their sales rep. The installation was fine except for repairing the floor. That, I wasn’t overly impressed with. They had to break out some of the concrete to get the plumbing repositioned. And when they prepared the hole and the concrete, they didn’t smooth it out. I had to have some tile replaced in that area, and they’re gonna take care of the flooring at the same time. But my most favorite thing about the tub is the ability to sit down and relax with the air jets.

The salesperson came out from another state. He was a nice fella and had a lot of experience in sales and knew quite a few objections. What I didn’t like about this type of purchase was the starting price and the nickel-and-dime on it. When we got down to the price that we could handle, he called someone then he came back and they agreed to do it at the price, but they couldn’t supply the toilet. I told several people that have asked me in buying it that I almost backed out over that because they advertised as a free part of the deal. I proved that nothing is free. Also, it wasn’t installed properly. One of the lines busted down below and caused a massive leak. We were inconvenienced for a while but American Standard took care of it. They had a different team here to do that. The actual operation of the equipment is fine. The main thing with the tub, at our age, was more or less therapeutic with the jets and we like that. It’s relaxing and we enjoy it.

I saw an ad on TV and American Standard came up on my email one day. I answered the ad on it and the young lady who sold me the tub called me. We got together and I bought it. She was very good and wasn’t pushy. She explained things and I asked questions. If she didn’t have an answer, she would call somebody and ask. The installation guys were great. We had it set up in March and they came and found out that there was some extra tile work that had to be done, and I didn’t have enough tiles. So, I had to go buy more and then, they came back four weeks later. They did it all in a day and did a fine job. I like all the jets in the tub. I'm 70 years old, so it takes all of the aches and pains out after a long day’s work.

The American Standard Walk-in tub seems to work pretty good with a few little bugs. It's nothing big, just some little things that their rep needs to work on when he's in the neighborhood. The worst thing is the price. Other than that, everything's great. Their salesperson overall presentation was fine and it was a good in-between being relaxed and pushy. Their response has been okay. The installation took two days and it went really good. We just need an owner's website where you can get a bit more detail and information 'cause they just bring in the normal website where it's a big sales pitch but no detailed information.

The sales rep of American Standard that came was very nice and he made everything clear, ‘cause I requested that he come. And so, he explained things pretty well. I wasn’t sure that I wanted to go with it until we talked to him, and he took away any misgivings I had. So he was good. The American Standard tub is wonderful, but we had to get a bigger water tank. We should’ve been more prepared for that, but we had a 50-gallon tank, and it takes 60 gallons. So, we ended up getting an 80-gallon tank that was so tall it almost didn't fit in the basement. It was crazy the other day when the guy was trying to put it in. He did a beautiful job. Now, I can get it as full as it can, ‘cause I have serious back issues. I’m recovering from major back surgery, so I’ve been looking forward to it for so long. I’m delighted. So far, so good.
I really have no complaints other than the hand shower thing. They sent me the bracket that goes on the pole. It’s a vertical pole that runs up and down that you can put the handheld one on it with the bracket, but I can’t get it to stay. For washing my hair, sometimes it’d be nice just to be able to take a simple shower, but so far, I’ve not been able to make that work.

I liked American Standard's quality and lifetime warranty. The rep I dealt with was a really cool guy. He explained the process very well and answered any questions I had. The installation was quick and easy. Most of the work was done within two days. But we weren't locked out of our bathroom for too much time. We only have a one bathroom house, so it was kinda nice that it didn't take too long and nothing was really obstructed too much. It feels more safer having the American Standard tub. I primarily got it for my grandmother. Now, she can take a bath. She was having a hard time getting to the tub before.

We were looking for a tub and we had a friend who had an American Standard and recommended them. We went with the company due to their product's quality. After their guy came out and showed us what they had, theirs was far more superior than anything I looked at before. The reps from American Standard answered every question, they were very courteous, and I had an all-around, great experience.
The installers were in and out of here and left the place in great condition every day when they left. We wanna hire them on the side to finish the rest of the bathroom. My mom is very nervous when it comes to having work done, and she didn't have a single problem the whole time they were here. The walk-in tub was put in in my name because I'm going to be taking over the house. But the house is in my mom's name, and we do not have any problems. Beforehand, in her walk-in shower, we had all kinds of problems getting her in and she did not like to take a bath, but we have no problem with her now.

The salesperson was wonderful and the installer did a great job. Since using the walk-in tub, I don’t hurt as much. Recently, we have one of the jets that isn’t working as well as the one that’s adjacent to it. It needs to be looked at. The installer told me that we were supposed to have a better neck rubber thing that comes on it, that is supposed to be an upgrade, and he said that I should mention that next time somebody called.

I'm enjoying the American Standard walk-in tub very much. I got the tub for my legs because I'm having a lot of problem with them. I wanted something that feels like a massage, and that’s what I'm obtaining from the tub. I also I heard that it had 44 jets and that sold me on it. However, I’m visually handicapped, and these remotes I don't understand. I have to know what they are but I can’t read as long as I’ve got macular degeneration. I will always have it. I've called them and Chaney, the one that did the constructions here has not returned the call. But American Standard is such a very good old company and I was on the right path. I'm very satisfied with everything.

When I found out that American Standard made the tub, I was just really impressed. I knew of the tubs and the toilets they have made in the past and I was just happy to get it. I have a previous tub in my house, and my house is almost 100 years old, so that same tub been here. And also, my mother used to buy her tub from American Standard.
The sales rep was so thorough and honest. The installation on the other hand took a while because when the first man came here he looked at my waterline and said I would need a new waterline. And then, the second time they came, they told me I had to be without my toilet for two days that they were going to work on the house. I can't be without a toilet. Also I saw some little holes in my walls that I felt they could've been not there. Sometimes the power for the hydrotherapy does not work. Other than that the work was very good. I'm 68 years old, so I think it's a good investment for old people.

The sales representative from American Standard was very professional and the installation of our walk-in tub went flawlessly. The guys did a really good job and they explained everything that was needed to be done. They had looked at the pictures that the sales representative had done and she proposed that the tile be taken down and a new sheeting put up. When the guys got here, they recommended not doing that. They were very subtle about that because what they said was the material wasn’t shipped. If we wanted to, we could just have it put in with the tile work that was already there and they thought it would look really good. We did that and that worked out really nice. They also gave us pretty good-sized credit for not doing that. They did the installation in a day, so that exceeded my expectations. The walk-in tub turned out really good. I was showing my daughter up in Wisconsin how the tub looked. It functions like it's supposed to.

I heard about American Standard from AAA. Installers were marvelous. They did the walk-in tub all in one day. The salesman said it might take two or three days. They cleaned up after themselves and everything worked out good. I broke my hip last March. With the tub, I can now sit and the water goes up right up around my hip and I can soak and let it penetrate. I turn the aerator on and I sit in there for 5 to 10 minutes. My husband thinks I’m foolish, but the walk-in tub relieves the pressure off my hip.

American Standard was one of the first ones I looked up online and I trusted the name. It's for my 91-year old father-in-law. He's very happy with it. I don't know that he would change anything. He gets in and out of it well. He's not had any complaints and he's a complainer. What I liked about it best was the door would open in and not out. I like that when you're in the tub, the pressure is holding the door closed rather than wondering if the pressure and the water's gonna pop that door open. That was what sold us on this one. We felt like it was less work on the seal using gravity.
The sales lady who came out was fantastic with a 91-year old grumpy old man. She said something that was a great selling point. She handled him beautifully and was very patient with him. If he asked her a question that was absolutely irrelevant, she still dealt with him. Then the guys who came out to install cleaned up every time they made a mess. They hauled off everything that they took out. From the sales lady to the guys, listening to an old man tell them how to do their job and putting up with him through that was all around great. It was a walk-in and turn-key ready when they were done with it. We didn't have to do a thing. I was thoroughly pleased with it.

The American Standard walk-in tub was something that my mom could easily get in and out of even with just a little help, which was the main goal of getting it. For my mom, the seat is uncomfortable and when she has the tub full of water, she has trouble keeping her legs down because then the water comes up on her. I got an old bath mat for her to sit on and that seems to help. Also, even with the strips on the bottom, her feet sometimes slip. It doesn't happen that often but it's still an issue.

The installers were not only very professional, but they cleaned everything up. You wouldn't even know there was a trace of putting in new walls and things in my bathroom. The quality is excellent and the tub does everything that I want it to do. I wanna increase the size of my hot water intake though. I wanna go from a half-inch to a two-quarter inch so I don't have to wait so long for it to fill. American Standard doesn't do that but everything else is tremendous.

I had a stroke about a year ago and it’s very difficult for me to take a shower. I couldn’t take a bath because I couldn’t stand up and my wife had to help me in and out of the shower. When I saw American Standard's commercial on television, I said that it was what I need. I liked the demonstration and it seemed simple. I was fortunate enough that my son said that I needed to get it. Since he was gonna pay for it and that’s what he did, I got it and I couldn’t be happier.
The reps were wonderful. They called and I got it four days before I was scheduled to have the installers come. They called me on a Saturday morning and told me that they were in the area. They had an opening and if I was available for them to install the tub, and I was. It took them about four hours. They explained everything. They were very nice, clean and neat. I’m 80 years old and in all my experience, I never had something I’m so pleased with all the way around. My wife and I have no complaints. We’ve had a couple of neighbors come by and look at it. The only reason a couple of them were hesitating was the price but other than that, it’s wonderful. Everybody, when you get to be my age, you deserve this tub.

The sales rep from American Standard was very nice and she explained everything to me and I love it. I have bad arthritis and I'm a heart patient and so I needed a tub because I was afraid of the shower. This tub is ideal plus, the quality is very good. American Standard is wonderful. If people has to get one, get it from them. My first one was from another company but American Standard has a much better tub.

We decided that I needed some relief from my back issues and purchased a walk-in tub from American Standard. Their rep was very knowledgeable. The installation went very smoothly. They had projected they need two days, but they got everything finished in one day. We’re totally happy with the tub. I like being able to get in and having some more relief after playing golf or a lot of activity.

There were a lot of advertisements online and I looked at several of them. American Standard is a company I recognize. I saw an ad and I liked it. The rep was very nice and knowledgeable. He gave us a few ideas. And then, the installation went excellently. The installers were very good. Patrick had guys with him. They were quick and clean, and I was very happy with the result. The tub fit right into the space as soon as it came out. It took them just part of a day. It was quick, which I thought was good.
We like the tub really well. It's for my mother. She’s almost 95 so she can’t get into a regular bath tub. We all use it some but she uses it the most. And I like it because you can get in easily, it seals well and empties quickly. However, filling it is slow. I don’t know how you could get around that. It’s just the way it is. Another drawback is my water tank is not big enough to make it a comfortable bath. It barely fills up the tub. The water barely gets above the jets. So, eventually I have to get a bigger water tank because it does take a lot of water. But other than that things, it’s fine.

American Standard is a common name. Their rep was very nice and thorough. It was very good dealing with him. Then the installers were very polite and they worked very quickly. The door on the walk-in tub is awfully narrow to get in and out of it, but I can use it. Whereas a regular tub, my husband had to help me. I also can’t really lay down on the new one. I’m only 4-foot-11. So I like to be able to get down and get the jets on the back of my neck and shoulders where I hurt so much. Other than that, the tub working out fine.

The sales rep knew her stuff and everything went fine. The installation took about six hours and the crew was very efficient. They cleaned up after themselves and they were fine. The tub is very nice. I like all of it.

I love my American Standard tub. I have 3 little dogs varying in size from 14 lbs to 26, and I had to get down on my hands and knees to wash them when they were on the tub. It was getting impossible for me to do. I’ve learned that I can take them in the tub, shut the door and put them in the footwell. I can sit there, bend over and bathe them as long as I need to and rinse them, and it’s very comfortable.
Their reps have all been fantastic. I had one of those commodes that came as part of the packet and it was running periodically. The water would run into the tank. I called them back and the guys came back. They did a quick little adjustment and I haven’t had it since. So, the maintenance type service was good. Everything is great with American Standard.

My husband chose American Standard for our walk-in tub. The salesperson was very pleasant and thorough. And even though after getting the tub he didn’t explain some other things to us, it was okay. The installation guys were very pleasant too and did the job in about seven hours. The thing, however, is I think the tub is too small for people our size. I've used the tub but I'm having a hard time getting used to it.

I was very satisfied with the American Standard salesman. He was here a year ago and left his number. I called him back and told him I was interested. He said that he thought he'd never hear from me again. I kept all of his stuff, I had some other stuff I wanted to get paid off before I did anything. I had salesmen here from all the major brands. The American Standard tub drains faster than the others. And their salesman told me about keeping the tub warm until you get out. The installer came at about 8 o’clock in the morning and they were out of here by around 5:00. However, I have to call him to see if he can make the silicone tighter. On top of the tub, there's one place that has a crack and I sure don’t want it going down the wall. Also, my water isn’t quite hot enough, and I like hot water. I'm gonna have to get a bigger water heater. Other than that, everything went well.

The American Standard walk-in tub helps with my arthritis and it's just really good to soak. I like it. Their salesperson was great. She was really nice and very knowledgeable and she helped me with all my questions. The installation went fine but my towel rack came off the wall. The guy was gonna come back and put it back on, but we went into lockdown and he didn't get back. It's just one little minor problem. My neighbor is gonna do the towel rack for me when this is all over.

The American Standard walk-in tub is wonderful. and I love everything about it. We love the jets, the heating part and the spray nozzle that you can take and pull out and spray, wash your hair and all that good stuff. The gentleman who came here was great. He showed us the nozzle and the handles, and all that he had in his briefcase and he explained how it was done and everything. You couldn’t have a nicer person selling the tub than he was.
The two gentlemen said they’d be here at 8 o’clock for the installation and they were here at 8 o’clock. They started on it and about 4:30 that afternoon he sat down and explained it to us what he had done. He went in there and he told us what button was what and how it all operated and everything.n They worked from the time they got here till they left. Of course, they had taken a break for lunch and everything. They were good and I couldn’t praise them enough. And if they do everybody that way, American Standard got some nice people.

I liked the price of American Standard. Sales reps came out and introduced it to us. They were very good. The installers got the work done in four hours and the quality was very good as well. I have crippling arthritis so it’s hard for me to get in any tub. With my American Standard, I like that I can get in and sit down. I normally take a bath every other day. The only thing is the door needs to be a little wider. Otherwise, I’m very satisfied. They are very expensive but I would put the money in it.

American Standard had ads on the TV and on my computer and it is a brand name that I recognize. And I was pleased with what I heard. Their sales rep was a little pushy, but I'm smart enough not to believe everything I'm told. But she was very knowledgeable. The installation went fine too. We were originally told it could possibly take two days, but it didn't. They were working within 15 minutes of driving up. We wanted to salvage our old tub and they had warned us it might not be possible, but they were careful with it, and they put it out in the front yard like we asked them to do, and they were very efficient. They worked and they were very nice. They were older people and they were not rude. I have had workers here before that used a lot of four-letter words that we don't appreciate, and they did not. We also like the tub very well.

My wife and I are getting a little older. She just had some surgery and I was a little bit afraid that in the future, we might need a walk-in tub more than ever. We checked American Standard out and we liked what we saw. Their installation team did a good job. I'm satisfied with everything except the water is too cold. My wife hasn't been able to use it 'cause of that. They showed me how to make it warmer but it didn't work. I have called three times about the temperature of the water and nobody has ever gotten back with me on it. Overall, I like the tub but I like it better if it's warmer.

The American Standard salesperson was very courteous and knowledgeable. My wife and I are in our 70's. My wife has had both hips and both knees replaced. And I have foot problems. We were concerned that the door that opened inward would be awkward. The salesperson agreed with that. He suggested and fully explained the tub that had the door that opened outward and that it was safe. It was not gonna let water flow into our bathroom. We bought that one and have been delighted with it. We tested it out to see how it looks. It's beautiful, it works and seems wonderful. However, the representative said that my wife could get in and just do her feet. She thought that she could get in fully clothed and just do from the knees down. Unfortunately, the way it's set up, two of the water jets that are part of doing your feet aim right at your behind from the front. As soon as she fired that up, she was wet, which she didn't particularly wanna be.
The installation crew was fabulous. They were courteous and incredibly professional. They completely transformed my bathroom like it had never been any different. They showed up with four guys. They showed up at about 9 o'clock and they were completely done at 1:30. They had to install the power all the way from the main box in the house to the bathroom where it was put in. They also added two ground fault breakers at that box and cleaned it up. It looks beautiful from that standpoint. The one flaw that they had was that they had to break up the old tub, which was cast iron, to get it out of the house. However, they didn't touch a single tile on the bathroom when they broke up that tub.

I knew American Standard has been around for a long time, about 100 years or more. Moreover, the tub has a lifetime warranty and has a big company behind it, which was why I chose them over other brands. I also liked their rep, who did a good job. He explained things well and discussed his competition. He put American Standard’s reason for buying them first, but that was in the nature of the discussion that salesmen do. He really knew his product well and he scratched a lot of the itches as far as issues that I was interested in for a walk-in tub. If it fits what you need and you can afford it, it’s great, but it's expensive.

The American Standard Walk-in tub is excellent and I love it. I got it for my health. Their reps and the installation team were excellent. They got here by 8:30 that morning, it was through about 4:00 with everything. They did a great job.
