American Standard Walk-in Baths Reviews

My mother is elderly and she needs the walk-in tub. My brother purchased the American Standard and then we had an issue with the whole electrical board. It broke down where there was a problem with the jets and the tub would not drain properly. It was in warranty so we called and they had the part shipped. We had to call them back again and tell them that we have received the parts, and then they had somebody else to call and show up. There was a little issue with that person calling back, but then the guy called and apologized, showed up, and fixed it. It took a couple weeks to resolve, but that was more of a labor issue. Now, everything has been fine.

American Standard's installation team was in-and-out. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. Everything was very professional. The tub was for my mom and before she had a stroke, she was afraid she was gonna trip over the edge of the tub anyway even though it wasn't that high. Still the tub worked fine.

American Standard's rep was very knowledgeable and their installers were courteous. We like their overall product and since having our walk-in tub, we've found it comfortable. We'd use American Standard again.

I had the American Standard tub for a couple of year before the paint began peeling around the door and was chipping at the handle and top corners on the entrance to the tub. American Standard said it was under warranty and said they would repair. That promise was made about a year and half ago and work has never started. Their excuse is that they do not have a repair company in my area and they need to find someone. Hard to believe that an area like the San Francisco Bay Area would not have a rep. I have tried 7 to 8 times during the year and a half and each time they promised that they will find someone. DO NOT BUY THIS TUB IF YOU LIVE IN THE SF BAY AREA. Not sure about other parts of the country. And why would the paint peel on the door? Poor quality or poor design?

Updated on 10/31/2019: We purchased an American Standard Liberation walk-in tub on June 27, 2019. We had several initial problems: Jet adjustments were incorrect and only worked on one side of the tub. The installer finally came to fix the jets and had to make calls to find out the procedure. Next: the air system came on all by its own. I was in the tub, but nowhere close to the control panel. The tub was filing at the time and did not cover all the air jets. Water sprayed all over the bathroom. Then the air system would not turn off. My wife after a longer than useful time and soaked to the skin with sprayed water, went to the circuit box and tripped the breaker to stop the air system. She did not know where the breaker box was or how to do anything electrical without my instruction. We are both 82 years old and not very mobile. I couldn't get out of the tub because it was half full of water.

My wife's granddad worked for American Standard years ago so we got a walk-in tub from them. However, our tub is not what we thought it was. The doorway is too small. The tub has a square door instead of that flip-flop door that they got on there, and the seat is not heated like the ad says. Also, the tub is not as big as it could be. It’s a big outside shell, but it’s a small interior. It’s not what it’s bragged up to be. The salesperson didn’t do his job like he should have. He should’ve showed us a brochure of all the different models that they had instead of one model.

Everything went great with American Standard. I'm very satisfied. This is the first tub we’ve ever had. It’s good.

I wanted a walk-in tub and I called another company first and they came out. Then, I started checking on some other companies, and I found out that American Standard had a lot more jets than what the other company had. I wanted the jets because I had lots of health problem and I love it. When the sales rep came out, he showed me different things. He had a suitcase of things to actually show me some of the things that the other guy did not have. The installation team could not be beaten. They were absolutely wonderful and they worked very hard. They were happy and joyful the whole time. It was hard getting the tub in, but it didn't bother them a bit. They were wonderful, and the guy has been there for me to call him with any problems that I've had, anything that I didn't know about. I'm very, very pleased, and I would recommend American Standard Walk-in Tubs.

I saw American Standard Walk-in Baths on TV, and I called them. Everything was fine with their in-home sales rep. And as for the installation, everything was excellent. Everything was done in a timely manner.

American Standard has the name so I went with them for a walk-in bath tub. The rep I dealt with was fairly knowledgeable but she was pushy. She kept on and on, and I felt a little pressured upon. Nevertheless, the installation team was very efficient and neat. They did a very good job, and I was quite satisfied with the installation. They did it all in one day -- they didn't do it on the day they were supposed to but that was no inconvenience. Then we had the electrical work done another day.

We went on the internet and everything was good with the sales rep from American Standard. The installation team was very good and everything is going alright, except we’re waiting to get a hot water heater put in. Our old hot water heater wasn’t large enough to fill the tub with hot water and we have been waiting for the same company for three weeks. So, we finished with them and gone with another company but hopefully, we’ll get it done next week.

Everything's fine with my American Standard walk-in tub. I've had American Standard stuff a long time, so I was already familiar with the company.

We’re very pleased with American Standard Walk-in Tubs. The salesperson who came out showed us the video he had with him. He gave us a very complete and detailed explanation. We’ve known American Standard for a long time, so we were confident that they would do a good job. The installation team came on two days. The Friday team that came knew exactly what to do. We had an old Jacuzzi tub in there and they cut it up. They took everything away, they cleaned up after themselves, they brought the tub in itself, and they made the connections. They were here almost all day, and they did all the electrical work, too. They were very good. With the team that came on Saturday, one of the fellows came back who was there on Friday, plus a supervisor, and they did all the finished work, which worked out very well. I'm very satisfied.

Do not buy a walk-in tub from American Standard. They way overcharge you a whole hell of a lot. They hire people that dont know anything about installing tubs electric and they charge you 18000 where the tub only cost around 5000 and the rest goes to line the upper management. If you have a complaint they will not respond or say, "We never got that". When the tub catches fire and almost burns down your house and you ask them to remove the tub and give you your money back. They say, "Well you signed a contract. We can't remove the tub". Then they let their employee sell used tubs and wont cover them when the installer tells you they will.

We liked the salesman who came out, and he was very personal and informative. The installation team was fantastic. They were here a minute early -- it was supposed to be at 8:00, but they were here at 7:59. They were here until about 3 o’clock in the afternoon, and they cleaning up after themselves. I'm very satisfied with our American Standard walk-in tub.

We called American Standard and Greg came to visit us. He did a very good job demonstrating and telling us all about American Standard. He was very knowledgeable and he answered every question that we had. When the installation team called, they said they were gonna be through in North Carolina. They asked if they could they come on over and start then finish the next day, and we said sure. They came over and started at about 1:30 that afternoon then they finished that night at about 8:00. It was complete and so, we just love it. They didn't have to come back the next day. They were very efficient and knowledgeable. They were also very friendly, courteous and very professional. Overall, we're very satisfied with the walk-in tub and I would recommend it highly. When we have guests, we always have to show them our new walk-in tub and they're very impressed.

My experience with American Standard has been good. Their sales rep was very good and extremely informative. The two guys who came for the installation were extremely well-mannered. They did the job well, they explained things, and it was an excellent experience. Now that I have my walk-in tub, it’s easier for me to take a shower. I’m blind and stepping over the tub was getting kinda difficult for me. So, it’s only about a two or three-inch thing now. It’s not very much and it’s not a problem for me to get in.

Our American Standard walk-in tub is going well. Its spaciousness, and the fact that it provided a door that opens outside-in, instead of from the inside-out led me go with them. Also, I had a Bath Fitter before, but it was just too small. The rep was very nice and informative, and I liked him a lot. He wasn’t pushy and he was trying to meet my needs, so that was a good thing. It makes the experience much nicer. The installation team was very good, too. Yeah. The man who did the bulk of the work was excellent and he knew what he was doing. There were no mistakes. He was polite and he left the place clean when he left.

I'm doing great with my American Standard walk-in tub. I know the history of American Standard and my father-in-law was a professional plumber for years, and that was always his choice for plumbing supply, so, I took that and ran with it. The reps at American Standard were very professional, very knowledgeable, very easy to talk to, on-time for their duties, and didn't interfere with anything else that was going on. The installation was great. The installers had to take out a part of the wall in order to get the tub to go in the space that I wanted it to go in. But they did that professionally and we're really proud of how it came out. I'm very satisfied, and I would recommend them to anybody that was looking for a walk-in tub.

American Standard's price was right. And my interaction with the sales representative was very satisfying. She was very informative, and so I was happy with it. The installation team came in, and they were quick and efficient and did really well. I use my walk-in tub every day and I do feel more relaxed and it is super beneficial. The only thing is it needs a wider door, and it should be lower onto the floor. Still, I'm satisfied.

American Standard Walk-in Baths is made here in America so that is a big thing right there. When Brett, the salesman, came here, he was here a couple of hours and I watched a couple of videos of how the products are made, where they’re made and where the parts come from. I was quite impressed with it. It was a little on the high side of prices for me ‘cause I’m old but I felt it was worth my health so that’s why I went ahead and did it.

American Standard was highly recommended and I was impressed that they were efficient. I had very good interactions with the rep who helped me with the purchase. The explanation on the products and then the installation both went very well. What I like best about the tub are the relaxing features. You just sit in there and you can drift away.

The American Standard rep who came to our home was thorough and did a good job. The installation went very well and I was surprised on how fast the installation team did it. From the time they arrived till the time they finished, it took about five hours, and they had to change the door. I like the tub and use all its features. I feel relaxed and I feel good out of it. The tub is just pretty expensive.

We put in our American Standard tub in June but it has been pretty lousy. They didn't hang the door right and I can’t control the speed, two work and two don’t. Their product sucks. Then, they wouldn't let me talk to the president or a higher-up when I called and the rep said there was nothing they could do about it then. They’re coming in to fix it but they left me hanging for over a month and that isn't right. I’m not satisfied at all.

Everything is excellent with American Standard. They were very professional. I have no concerns at all and I like that I can sit down in my tub.

A sales rep from American Standard came and he was very nice and knowledgeable. We went ahead and got the walk-in tub. I am enjoying my tub but right now, I can't use it. I'm having a little problem with it and the tech is supposed to come by next week. I had to keep pumping the drain to drain it. I also had on the form that the tub was gonna be paint-ready but it wasn't. American Standard sent me a $200 check and I finally got somebody to finish the walls so we could paint them. Still, I would recommend American Standard Walk-in Baths. In fact, I live in a condo and a lot of people want to see my tub. I have a friend who has a tub which is not American Standard and she like ours.

I've had my American Standard walk-in tub for quite a while and I like that I don't have to climb in to get in it. It's easier to get in and out of. The guy had the installation done in two days and the sales rep was ok.

American Standard has been in business longer than any of the other walk-in bathroom companies and that's why we chose them. The sales rep was real great too. She knew what she was doing and so did the installation guy. He was fast. He got the tub in in one day and we got to use it the next day. My wife and I both use it quite often now. It's been a great experience overall.

I looked at American Standard Walk-in Baths, studied it, interviewed one of the representatives, and it appeared to me that it was what I needed at this point in time in my life. The rep did a little bit over-sell, but other than that, he had a good product, so that was okay with me. The guy who installed the tub knew exactly what to do and the installation went great. It took about four-and-a-half hours. I’m 86-years-old and what’s important to me is that the tub is safe. Also, I’ve got problems with my legs, and the jets and the air are helping me greatly. Overall, I would recommend American Standard.

My experience with American Standard was great. The tub is enjoyable and the guys who put it in were fabulous. It only took them one day but I wouldn't care to have them here everyday.

My wife fell down and broke her hip. She had a hip replacement so she will never be able to get into the shower and tub that we had. American Standard didn't have a showroom anywhere and I told their rep that I don’t buy anything over the phone because I cannot physically see the stuff. But a friend of my son-in-law had an American Standard walk-in tub so he invited me over to his house to look at it. His name is Henry. I liked what I saw with the exception that was the door opened in. There were also a couple of features that I wasn’t too happy about.

American Standard's rep was a very responsive salesperson. I liked him and the lifetime warranty they had was the selling point. I purchased a tub and the installation team who came was very personable and kept me informed of everything that was going on over the course of three days. When they were done, they hauled everything away and didn't leave a mess. They gave me the bar for the handheld shower too. Thus far, I enjoy using my tub and I'm very satisfied with my experience with American Standard. I'm very happy that I reached out and found them.

I am happy with my experience with American Standard Walk-in Baths. I've felt safer since I started using the tub. Also, my interaction with their sales reps and the people who installed it went okay. Overall, everything has been fine with my experience.

The American Standard representative who came to our home was great. My parents have dementia and my dad doesn’t care what's going on around him and mom wants to be part of every little decision ‘cause she has a bit of paranoia, and he was so patient and kind with her. He answered all of my questions. When my mom asked the same questions over and over, he didn’t bat an eye.

The American Standard rep who came to our home explained things very well. During installation however, the tech didn't follow the protocol that American Standard had written down in their manual. He didn't seem to know it. He also said that he just came from a seminar. So, I was really reluctant. Still, installation turned out okay. Thus far, I like the convenience of getting in and out of my tub and the safety of it.

I liked the name and service of American Standard. Their rep was very nice and thorough. He explained things very well. The installation of the walk-in tub was good too. It was on time and fast. I like the relaxation features of the tub. I use the jets more than the other features.

The walk-in tub we got from American Standard Walk-in Baths. We like the fact that the tub would empty out in less than two minutes if the electricity was on. I've used the tub once and the jets felt so good on my back. When we bought it, the sales rep was very informative and the work that the installer did was exceptional. My husband walked in and said if it wasn't for the tub being there, one wouldn't know that the installers were here. They sawed a board out on my driveway and my husband was gonna go vacuum it up but it was already cleaned. They were that immaculate and proficient. The tub and the area are absolutely beautiful.

I liked the tub design of American Standard. I got one with a door that opens out and a whirlpool feature. The rep whom I spoke with was very pleasant and informed. He addressed all of my questions. However, it was hard to wait three weeks for them to come out and install my tub. Even so, the installation team who came was very knowledgeable and took care of what they were doing. They were very thorough and didn't damage anything while getting the tub in. They cleaned up too and I couldn't even tell they were there other than the fact that the tub was installed. Now, it looks great and I'm very happy with it. It's very nice to sit in a tub of hot water and very hard to push that drain button. Going with American Standard was a pleasant experience.

I liked American Standard's offer, their presentation and everything else about them. They came into my home and kept it clean while they were working, which I thought was very hard. I like everything about my tub.

I got American Standard's walk-in tub because of its lifetime warranty with parts and labor. Their installation team's work ethic was also very good. The tub was also great, but I just wish the door was a little bigger. The tub should be a little bit bigger too. I wish it would go longer.

American Standard seemed to be the most reliable, and the people that I talked to that had one were quite satisfied with it. They worked with me very well, and we’re very satisfied with the product.

I like the fact that American Standard is made entirely in the United States, outside of Dallas, Texas. The other companies we looked at were Jacuzzi and Kohler and their sales reps were not entirely honest with us. American Standard's sales rep, on the other hand, answered every question to our satisfaction, including where the entire tub is made. He did a nice presentation and was polite. He was a very good and pleasant man. The installation team was also outstanding. They did what they said they were going to do. There was a one-day delay on the arrival of the tub to its destination but they explained that to us. The installation was schedule on a Friday and they had to say they would finish it on Saturday. But they gave us every reason in the world. They did everything – the permits that were required, the plumbing and the electrical – to our satisfaction.

The people with American Standard have been very nice and helpful. The installers cleaned up when they left and got done in a timely manner. They missed a strip of caulking that you can’t even see without craning your neck, but it’s no big deal. When I come out of the tub, I feel better. It’s very expensive though. Still, I would definitely recommend them.

I recognized American Standard as a Texas company and after I did a little investigating, I felt like it was probably a better tub because of the door. Doors in these kinds of tubs are inclined to leak. But the more I investigated and after I interfaced with the salesperson, I recognized that there’s a lifetime warranty. However, I think American Standard needs to add a standing shower. To sit in that tub for an hour, which has 70 gallons of water, is like getting in a hot tub. But when you use a hot tub, you reuse the water. With this, you do not and cannot. You cannot get out until the water’s drained. When I am hurting or I am extremely cold in the winter, I know I’m going to use it. But this is not something you do on a daily basis. One, I don't have the time and two, it’s not ecologically friendly. To use 70 gallons regularly is an absolute disgrace.

We found out about American Standard on the internet and we liked the warranty. The interaction with the sales rep was very good and the rep was absolutely professional and courteous. During the installation, the electrician got his work done quickly. It went really good, all fine and dandy. The plumber also came and it was his assistant who came in and cut the line without turning the water off, and we had a flood in our house. So, it went into the insulation on the bottom of the house and in the plastic. They got the water shut off and dried it up but nobody went under the house to check it out. So, after they left, I had to go under the house and open up the plastic, and pull out the wet insulation. The guy who came to do the install fixed it and taped all the insulation back in and the plastic back up, and that was good.

We really needed the tub for my husband and he enjoys it very much. It’s working great for him and he really likes it. We chose American Standard for the price and the sales rep was a good guy. He was very knowledgeable and honest. We liked him. We also liked the installers very much. They took care of everything and were very clean. It was a good experience. They were the best.

I’m not able to get in and out of a regular tub and I missed it. Since I'm aware of the quality of American Standard's work, I got one. I had an idea of what I wanted and when the rep came, he answered every question I had. I was very pleased with him. The installers were very efficient too. They were a little late, but that didn't matter. The tub is wonderful and I use the jets more than the other features.

I pushed American Standard's phone number on a Sunday morning and I got a pretty good fellow. I liked him a lot. But we ran into a little snag that he might have been able to see if he’d had some training. But like the installer said, that ain’t the first time they’d run into that problem. I had an electrical problem and he looked at my box and he said I was good to go, but when the installers got here, I had to have about $1,200 more work done. When we found this out, American Standard ate that $1,200 and didn’t’ pass the cost on to me. So I thought that was great of them.

My wife wanted an American Standard. She liked the product. The representative who went to our home was professional and knew his product. The installation team was on time and did a great job. They had to stay over just a little bit longer than they planned to finish the job. I like everything about the tub.

My mother made it clear that she has another company coming to give her a quote also. After the presentation and quote the salesman slid a form in front of my 85 year old mother and told her that she "HAD TO SIGN THE QUOTE AND HANDED HER A PEN." I went over to look and it was a contract he was trying to get her to sign. He then said that he misunderstood what she wanted and she could cancel within 48 hours. Why do companies let their people prey on the elderly?

Though American Standard's installation team put a few dents the walls of my very tight quarters, they were polite and nice. I enjoyed it when I first put the tub in. However, sometimes I wish the tub was bigger. I'm a big girl and a couple more inches would be nice. I can't imagine a man being comfortable in the tub. Still, if ever I should get to the point in life where I can’t get in the shower anymore, then it’s there for me.

I had a stroke, and I had a hard time taking a bath. I needed something that I could sit down in and take a bath or shower. I got the walk-in tub from American Standard. The sales rep that came to my home was great. He had everything there. He answered all my questions. Then the installation went good. It took them all day, but they got it in, and it works great. They took out and got rid of everything. The got rid of the tub that was in there for me. They were very helpful. Now, I can just get in and out of the tub, and I’m good. I use the jets once in a while, so that helps. Everything’s great.

We were having some problems with my shower. I called American Standard and they were gonna come in and give us an estimate. But when the rep saw my shower, he said that I didn’t have enough room for a walk-in tub. He said that he could put a nice one in for my wife, though and we thought about that. I asked why wait until we get older to do it. Most accidents happen in the bathroom and I can’t tell how many older people I went to who fell in the bathroom because of their tub. So, we went ahead and changed the tub out. It was expensive, but it was worth it.

The American Standard salesman was very nice and appeared to be knowledgeable about whatever question we had. We hadn’t had much interest in a tub, but after he was here, we decided to buy it. The installers came, put the tub in and were really fast. I asked them to extend the drainage hose because I wanted it longer so I could move it or direct it out of the yard and they couldn’t do that. But they were very respectful and they didn’t leave a big mess so they were good. The door came off once and at first, I had a hard time getting service, but I finally got a number where I could phone in to get service. Plus, every now and then, the switch flips on it and we have to reset it, but all in all, the tub has been fine. With the walk-in tub, life is much easier and I don’t have to take a chance on falling down when I take a bath.

A friend got a tub from American Standard and told me about it. I called American Standard and I was satisfied that they were in the United States. Plus, they said there was a lifetime guarantee to fix the tub. My experience with the rep was fine. The installation took one day, but they had to come back the next day because they turned the tub and the faucets around. With more than 4 inches, the fiberglass tub is too tall for me to step up in. At that time, I was feeling pretty good, but now, my back is bad and I'm 75. I called them and told them that it is getting very difficult for me to go in. I let them make me a little step-up, but I shouldn’t have done that because it's still a little difficult for me to get off that step. I should have had them put the whole thing down where it was supposed to be, but I didn’t. I just didn’t want any more work in my house.

My apartment complex put in an American Standard walk-in tub. I like the product but the seating area is not deep enough for long legs. They said that it was the largest one they made and that they would tell the manufacturer that they should make it the length of a full tub.

I am not walking very well and wanted to take a bath. I called American Standard Walk-in Baths and had them come out. Their reps were fine. But I had some trouble with getting the tub on and off and the second time, when I called them, they said they no longer worked in this area. The installation all went fine, but I wish I waited a couple of months longer because they came out with the heated seat, which would've been nice. When I got mine, they didn't have that. Plus, I have to make sure that I can get it to drain, but once it starts, it's fine.

I needed a walk-in tub because I'm disabled now. And American Standard had the best deal with their warranties. Everybody over at American Standard has been wonderful and the installation and repairs afterwards are great. But we've had put in 40 gallons of hot water, which is about the needs of my family, and it doesn’t fill the tub. So it's cold by the time it's filled halfway. If we want a full bath, it will run it and then wait 40 minutes and run it again and then it’s full. That is something nice to know about the tub before getting one. Other than that, it’s nice to have a bath every once in a while and I’m able to sit down when I shower, so it works for me.

American Standard's bid for a walk-in tub was half of what we were given from another company. Plus, they were offering better quality and a free toilet. We decided to go with them and the installers were great. They were very thorough and wanted to make sure everything worked before they left. Thus far, we’ve been very happy with the product and we’ve had no troubles at all with it. It was a purchase that I don’t regret at all. I love my American Standard tub.

I've already recommended American Standard Walk-in Baths to several people. Their rep was okay but he didn't give a whole lot of explaining in detail. The installation team seems to be fine, too. But I'm not too happy right now with my tub. The water is not going down like it should. And I'm having a hard time trying to keep it clean. Also, I need to bend over to try to clean it, and I don't have the strength in my hands to use the suction.

During my purchase, their in-home sales representative was good and helped me to decide whether I really wanted it or not. He had some points on why it’s worth having. He was easy to contact as well and very professional. Their installation team was good and professional, too.

My husband went to the store he usually used and picked up an American Standard tub. The reps installed it and I’ve never had any problems. It’s easier to get in and out of.

I had a problem with getting in and out of the bathtub, so I decided to call American Standard as I saw one of their deals and I figured I'd try it. It took the installers all day ‘cause I have an Acorn Stairlift in and I had to get it removed for them to get the tub in. But everything's been working just fine. Having the walk-in tub makes it easier for me to get in and out of it.

I received a phone call from someone from American Standard. They wanted to come over and show their product. I said yes and wound up buying from them. The installation team was very good. However, I've had some trouble with the walk-in tub. I've had to have them come and work on it twice. Also, it wasn't explained to me how big of a water heater you needed with it. I have a 40-gallon water heater and I always ran out of hot water before my tub was filled up. Plus, the benefits that they sell you on aren't exactly what you get. I've had my walk-in tub for six years, but if I had to do it over again, I probably would not get it.

We liked that American Standard cleans the pipes out. They blow them dry so there are no fungus, and that was the biggest factor in purchasing from them. My wife said that the rep was very helpful, and also, we had really good interactions with him. I had a great service with the installation team. I worked with them. We had a great time and got a lot of stuff done. My wife complains that the head rest doesn’t stay on. It’s a separate head rest. It’s only suction cup things and doesn’t work well at all. When it gets wet, it doesn’t work anymore. If they change anything, they should put a different head rest on there. Other than that, it’s easier for my wife to get in and out of the tub.

The sales representative of American Standard explained everything good. The installation team was fair. They installed a commode seat too, and they had to come back three different times to get it to quit leaking. It wasn’t installed right.

I got disabled and I needed a walk-in tub. I got one from American Standard and I felt fine about the interaction I had with their sales rep. The price of it was fine as well but I didn't care about how long it takes to pay for it after I found out what it was about. I didn't think it would take that many years to pay it off when you can buy the tub for about $1500. Other than that, their installation team was all right. They took the other one out, but they left the floor busted up and I had to pay somebody else to come and put a new floor in. Initially, I didn't know how much it was gonna cost me. They were supposed to put a 30-inch door in but when they came out to do that, they said it couldn’t be put in. I had a 28 and they said it couldn't be done. Since then, I had somebody come out and put one in, so it could have been done. Also, I should’ve put a bigger hot water heater in, but they took off for the hot water heater I was gonna get.

I like American Standard's warranty on their walk-in tubs. I went with one of their products and interacted well with their rep. He was very well informed with his products. Afterward, installation went well considering that their guys replaced an iron tub. It had to be broken up in order to get it out. Since then, I've been using the tub only for showering because it takes so much water. Still, it works very well for that. Also, their installer said that they would need to come back and re-caulk.

American Standard's rep was very good. He explained all the features and warranties of their product to me. I got one and the installer was outstanding. My tub area was a very difficult place to get into and he made the opening bigger. He was the best. Since then, I've been very satisfied with my tub.

We like our American Standard tub. The water jets are working very well since they put it in. But the tub gets a little black stuff from time to time, and we gotta fill it with bleach and cycle everything to clean it out. Other than that, it’s been a good tub. The guys that was putting the tub in were really good. My heart goes out to the working men, but their electricians are as stupid as can be.

The in-home sales rep from American Standard Walk-In Tubs was very nice, and he informed us of everything about the tub and what was gonna happen, and he set up the installment on everything else. The installation of our bath and tub went very well, and it was done in a day. The installers were very courteous and dedicated. They did the work fast.

I love our American Standard walk-in bath! We have it since 2013. I was here when the installer, Jay, came and he was really good. He put down all those things on the floor then my husband had him do something else, but he came back the next day. So far, the tub helps make me sleep better. When you get in there, you get out and you feel like you just drained. You feel more relaxed, too. Also, I have neuropathy in my feet and it helps my feet and my legs when I turn on the jets and the air. Go in there and you're in your private world. I also like the lights and the easy drain. You just push the button and it goes on and out.

American Standard's ad stood out to me and I liked the fact that their walk-in tub would have a power drain to it. The sales rep that I dealt with was knowledgeable of the tub. The installation team did a good job, and they got it done in one day.

I had surgery and did the remodel for convenience sake. The walk-in tub helps with my situation. The installers seemed to do fine, but they did leave out the headrest and I had to contact them to get it. The other thing is that American Standard should put a type of shower head like Safe Step is doing so that you can take a stand-up shower or use it a sit-down tub.

We had their installers come in and install the tub, and get everything fixed up and operational. I fixed everything up with the drains and the water. All they had to do was tie it in to those things and they did it in one day. The installers were good folks and they knew their product. They knew how to install it and the finished job was very well. It looks professional.

American Standard was the only one we contacted and I didn’t like the deal where the rep said that he couldn’t measure the thing that night. We couldn’t get the discount if he didn’t do it right then. Nevertheless, the rep explained the details of the tub. The installation team was very good and showed up on time. The tub is relaxing and that's good.

I am disabled and I need something easy to get in and out of. The sales reps at American Standard were very nice. They were very knowledgeable and they made sure it was easy for me to get in and out of. The tub made my life a bit easier.

I have MS and I had concerns about getting in and out of a tub. I wanted a walk-in tub and the American Standard sales rep was very nice. I was impressed that he said he could take care of the plumbing problems that we had if he installed it and he included that in the price. However, the installer didn’t know anything about it, and he came and expected to install it. The installer acted like he disliked me very much for even thinking that the sales people would do that. He said that they don’t know what the installers can do. Also, he expected to do it all in a day and then, he made appointments to come back and he didn’t come back. I called and nothing was done.

I've had my knees replaced and they were getting bad after I retired. I wanted to see if the whirlpool part of the American Standard walk-in tub would help them and it has. In fact, it's helping me a lot and I haven't had anything go wrong with it. It’s also easy to clean and everything works well. When I bought the tub, the sales reps were terrific and those two guys who came out and installed it were very courteous. They cleaned everything up and they handled everything perfectly. Another thing is, I sat right down and watched them do it but they didn’t nag at me to get out of the way. So, we had a really a good time for two days. The quality of the tub has been great as well and I like the way it drains.

American Standard is an old-line company, and I felt comfortable dealing with them. However, the salesperson lost the first check that I sent. It was lost in the transition from him to the home office. It was voided and I had to go to the bank and have them make out another check. There were, unfortunately, some goof ups, but it had nothing to do with the tub. And the people at the office were very nice and handled it very professionally.

The sales rep was very cordial and I was very pleased with the professionalism I was shown. Then it took half a day for the guys to complete the tub. Now that I have my American Standard walk-in tub, I like the ease of washing my hair.

American Standard had good sales reps and great installers. They did the process in just a little over a day and had to come back a second day for just a little bit. They did well. Our walk-in tub has a pump that would empty the tub quickly. I also like that with the walk-in tub, I don't have to go get my mother out of the floor naked. She’s taking more frequent baths now. The only thing she doesn't like is the step up into it. She says it’s tough to step up in it.

We love the idea that American Standard has a lifetime warranty. Their sales rep was very informative and good, not high pressure. We have a little, bitty bathroom it went in. It was touch and go that it would get in there, but the installers did a good job and took out the big tub that was there and got the big one in with very little problems. So, it worked out just fine. The tub works beautifully and it's comfortable. We don't use it every day. It takes an awful lot of water to fill it up, but when we're aching and hurting, it's great to be able to get in there and relieve some of those aches.

I liked what I saw with American Standard such as the quick drain. The sales rep and the installer were great. The man that came took three and a half days. He was very friendly and helpful. He answered any questions we asked too and everything went really smoothly. I like that I can walk into the tub and sit down. I just enjoy sitting in there and have the whirlpool jets on. It makes me feel really good. My legs are not getting as weak anymore as when I used to try to stand in the shower. It’s been a great experience and I haven’t had any problems.

We have had American Standard's toilet and we knew that it was a pretty good company. It is a company that’s been around for a long time. The tub itself is fine and it is very safe. You get a lot of things like the faucets or the side. Also, the chair is close. I would recommend it. But we have had some problems with it because of the way it was put in. One is that, when you step out of the tub, they didn’t put the tile up to the tub. Instead, they put a piece of wood and it is unsafe. Also, they didn’t put it up to the wall on the left-hand side and they put a piece of wood there.

My husband had prostate cancer and we needed something for him where he could just go in. American Standard's tub just had it all. We have the shower too. Their in-home sales rep as well as their installation team were very good. They explained what they were doing and cleaned up very well. Since getting my walk-in tub, I've felt safer. I lost my husband and had to have emergency back surgery as well. The tub has worked fantastic for me.

My wife and I are both 70 plus years old. She has severe arthritis and I have a hip injury and we needed a tub that we can access easier without having to raise our feet up too high. We purchased with American Standard and the customer service at this time is poor. They shortcutted the electrical installation. My house is an older house and they didn't tell me that it didn't have a circuit breaker for my panel. So, they tagged on to a circuit breaker for my swimming pool. If we run the swimming pool pump and the bathtub at the same time, it will blow the circuit. They halfway did the job. Also, they didn't put a support on the wall surround that they installed. It's sagging and allowing water to enter the edges of it. And the tub doesn't work properly because the heating unit is not working on it, probably due to the wiring. In general, I'm really dissatisfied with everything going on.

My husband loved the experience with American Standard. He decided to get the tub from what he saw on the television. He needed it badly, not at the time he got it, but it did him some good when he got it later on. The tub helped tremendously because he had two strokes and he was very sick. But we had one problem. We broke the diverter knob that controls the air, told American Standard about it, and had the parts within about two days. Their people used SharkBites to hook up to my plumbing and they had to come all the way down here to fix a problem because it was flooding outside. It was going right through the wall. They put SharkBites back on and everybody knows that SharkBites don’t last forever. Other than that, the walk-in tub is a great product and it would probably outlast us. We use it every day. I recommended American Standard.

American Standard's sales rep was very nice and informative and the installer was great. After I got the tub, my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's and it has been a lifesaver for us. Getting in and out of a regular tub is difficult but with the American Standard walk-in tub, it makes it easier. I really enjoy it.

My wife needed a walk-in tub so we called American Standard and got one. We chose them for name recognition. They always advertised about walk-in tubs on television. Their rep gave us the price and I told them to put the tub in. That was very simple. The installers did very well and they did the job in one day. But there was a situation. We have a two-story house and the tub is upstairs on the second floor. We had a leak coming down into the room downstairs. I called American Standard and they sent somebody out. They checked it out but it wasn't anything to do with the tub. The seal from the tub to the wall might have been a little loose or maybe settled. Somebody got in and splashed around a little bit, water went down to the side and it started to leak.

I was very pleased with American Standard. We like what they were offering. You don’t normally hear of a lifetime warranty on labor, and that persuaded us to go with them. But not only that, we already had an American Standard toilet, and we were pleased with it. The installation team was very neat and clean as well. My husband had some back issues, and that was one of the main reasons we got the tub. The spa in the tub seemed to help his back. But there is one complaint I have. One of the things that they should tell their customers is that a 50-gallon water heater does not fill up that tub. That is the only bad thing. I was very disappointed because we run out of hot water. We had just gotten the water tank before that tub was installed, so there was no need to get a new one. And they didn’t tell us that a 50-gallon water heater wasn’t gonna really fill that tub. I would advise that they mention that to people when they come out and talk to them.

It took about five hours and the finishes are very good. The quality of work was very good and the handheld wand is my favorite feature. Having the American Standard Walk-in tub would be more convenient than the tub we had so we purchased one. The rep we worked with was okay but we were surprised about the price. I was not assuming that it would be 15 grand for the whole thing. Other than that, the installation went fine. It took about six hours and they had to cut the wall but they put it all back together. I didn't even know anything was happening there. Also, the tub is easy to get into and out of and it works well.

We called American Standard up and a guy came out and he sold us. It was a good presentation and we bought the tub. I think we could have gotten a better price but it's a good deal and it's just fine. The tub was mounted a little differently during installation but at any rate, it has worked out fine because we've redone the whole bathroom. Also, the little gray pillow that you put your head against keeps coming off. When the repair guy was out before, he said he would give us one and then it stuck on, so it's stuck. But since then, it drops off and we just plug it on again. We would like a new one and if they can do anything about that, that would be great. Other than that, it has been very good so far.

I'd recommend it to anybody.

American Standard has great quality. Their sales rep was very good. The installation team was late in arriving though. They were somebody from North Carolina. They didn’t get here till noon. They were supposed to do it in two days, but they asked if they could stay and finish it, and they did. They finished it at 11:00 PM and that was very good. They did a great job. I love baths. I can get in a tub, but I can’t get out because I had knee, hip and back surgery. So, it’s wonderful for me. I’m very happy with it. It’s well-made and it’s very easy to use. I also love the low-back jets. They're wonderful.

My experience with American Standard has generally been good. The sales rep was great. However, the price I was given didn’t come out exactly or as close as I thought it would. There were an additional 50 bucks somewhere along the way. But it was no big deal. The installers were good and quick. They didn’t do the greatest job though. The tub does not drain as rapidly as advertised. And that’s one of their big advertising points. I called customer service and they didn’t seem eager to help me solve the problem.

I wanted an American-made product and liked what American Standard Walk-In Tubs had to offer. They were doing the high toilet along with the offer and I also like their warranty. I went with them and their representatives represented them well. However, if I need a problem fixed, I have to go to Dallas sometimes because the people in charge of North Carolina are covering too large an area. But overall, they fixed everything that I needed to have fixed. Although I don’t use the tub as often as I probably should, I find it very relaxing when I use it. I like the jets and wish there were more of it. I’m very happy with the tub.

I like the tub from American Standard. My wife liked it, too. It was bought for her. She had a stroke and it got to where I couldn't bathe her anymore. I put her in a chair in the shower. It got to where she couldn't stand up and our bathroom was really small. We had to have the door open to be able to get her in the tub. It's hard when somebody can't get in there. You gotta have a wheelchair in there too and you gotta have access to be able to get her out. We had to change the door, and American Standard put a sliding door in there. They accommodated everything.

The first guy that American Standard sent to do the installation didn’t do it well. He didn’t complete it. He left things laying undone and he had the tub sitting too high off the floor. He also left my toilet so that it wobbled. They had to enlarge the door frame and take off the towel rack and paper holder, and he left the holes in the wall. He left the filler piece to make up the room for where the old tub was. He didn’t even have that filler piece with him, so he left that open and told me it was gonna be a week before he got it fixed. The worst is the plumbing. He didn’t have the piping done right so the tub wouldn’t fill very well. I had a plumber here at the same time because I had my plumbing re-piped from my garage to that bathroom. When the plumber told him he didn’t think it was done right, he told him that was the way it had to be.

I’ve known about that for years, so I was comfortable with the history behind it when I decided to purchase from them. I had a good interaction with the sales rep who came out and he told me the features of the tub. But I already knew what I wanted and he didn't have to sell it to me. In fact, I wanna pay for two months each time, so instead of 10 years, I’ll pay it off in 5 years. The installers were great as well. Those guys came up from New Orleans, Louisiana and they were very polite and professional.

There was a guy that was at our house whose wife had an American Standard tub. The company had a good deal on senior discounts. I have had back problems and they worked with me to get a good price on their tub. Their salesperson walked through with us and explained everything like how the walk-in tub was gonna get put in, how to go about getting it and how it works. He was great. The entire process took about one week because the installers had to take off some doors and they had to get the room and the plumbing ready for the tub. The walk-in tub works really well for me because it keeps my back and my leg stimulated. The tub has two different kinds of jets. One is the leg and back jets and the other is the air jet. I like those. The tub also helps me because I don’t have to try and have somebody help me get out of the tub. I recommend it.

American Standard's rep was really thoughtful. That made a difference and we bought a tub with a shower from them. With my new tub, I'm not worried about falling. I'm satisfied with it and I would recommend it to a friend.

American Standard is American Standard. We have had other of their commodes and American Standard sinks in different houses that we’ve been in and I thought it was a good company.

I had a 98-year old mother-in-law that I was afraid would fall down. I got an American Standard tub that replaced the shower that I had and it worked out great. My experience was excellent and the installer was out of sight. The tub changed my mother-in-law's life immensely. The sitting down and being safe was the most important thing. She didn't have to worry. She just went in and sat down. She used the shower part of the tub most of the time.

My youngest son had cancer and the doctor said he needed a good whirlpool bath three times a week. We live 30 minutes out of Ashville to go to a doctor’s office or the hospital to get one. And when they told me that, I got the number off the TV ad and called American Standard. I had my big soaker tub took out and a walk-in tub put in and the installation team did a good job. My son could come to my house and get a shower real close together here. He takes a bath three times a week. Also, I get in maybe once or twice a week and it does run my light bill pretty high but it’s worth it. We’re enjoying it very much.

American Standard was very professional. They did a great job and the installers finished the project in one day. They cleaned up well. Then, I had the installers put it right in and the installation was not extremely long. Since using the walk-in tub, it is easy to step in to and I love all the jets. It helps me relax. I am now 76 years old and I wanted to be able to have warm water experience all year long. I have an in-ground Jacuzzi in my backyard, but in the wintertime, I can't go into the jacuzzi since first of all it costs too much money to heat and second of all it's cold outside. American Standard is a well-known name. I have a shower stall separate from the bath I got. And when I looked into walk-in tubs, I decided to do that. So instead of using the in-ground jacuzzi, I use the walk-in tub for saving and relaxation. I also got a free toilet together with the walk-in tub.

The installation of our American Standard Walk-In Tub was perfect. However, we don't have enough hot water to keep the water heated. I can't use my jets until it is filled and I can't fill the tub with cold water. My husband has to bring me some hot water from the front to the back and it ends up at being in 45 minutes. I'm cold at the time so I have trouble. I should have been told about how many gallons of water I was gonna need. I would have made a different decision, like getting the tub with a heater. I wouldn't recommend it.

I had a couple of other people come out and give me estimates for a tub but we went with American Standard. The sales person was extremely pushy. For an older person, it would be almost intimidating. When he came out to make the sale, it was a one-time special for $600 off, but I had to sign up right then. I said, “This is a major purchase and we’re gonna discuss it. I’ll tell you what, if I decide to buy it, you will sell it to me for the price you quoted me today.” He said that would be impossible. I took a week to make the decision and he gave me a hard time, but he sold it to me for what he quoted me that day. But that would be my only complaint.

We're 100% satisfied with the American Standard tub. They tore the old tub out, took the door casing out, brought the new tub in, hooked it all up and checked it out. We had one little problem with it after we had it put in, but we called them, they came back and fixed the problem. So far, everything’s been good. For the money, we got a good deal. I highly recommend them because of the quality, good workmanship and performance.

American Standard Walk-In Tubs has a lifetime warranty on service. I went with them and they did everything they said they would do. They put in my walk-in tub. Both the reps who worked with me and the installers who put in the walk-in tub were good. I’ve had no complaints with anything.

My parents are up in age and I was trying to get a tub to help them out with their arthritis. I’m a home builder and I was familiar with American Standard tubs. Their representative was very professional and he knew what he was talking about. Everything went well, as far as the first appointment and the interview, where he showed me the brochure. My parents are really happy with the tub. It is a great tub. There is easy access to it. My mom can get in, sit down, lock the door and run the water. Everything was just like the company said it would work on the presentation. Its massage feature relaxes the muscles a lot.

I wanted a walk-in tub and I tried to find the one that was most economical, and American Standard was a little less expensive. I enjoy using the tub for my situation. I have arthritis in my back and my hips, and it's really helpful when I get in there and use it. The installer made sure that it was installed right, and it looked good when he was finished. When Hurricane Harvey came, the tub had breakers on and it kicked off. All I had to do was clean the tub after the water receded.

A guy from a different walk-in tub company lied to me, while the rep from American Standard seemed fine. The whole walk-in tub was expensive, but that was what my mother wanted so we put that in and American Standard did what they said they were gonna do.

The walk-in tub is fine except that there are spigots that have come out, and I can't get them to stay in. But other than that, the walk-in tub works well. We use it quite a bit and have enjoyed it.

The tub works fine and my family enjoys using it. My mom can get in and out a lot better than what she could, so that has helped her a lot. The kids love playing with it, too.

I was always having a lot of problems, which made me want a walk in tub. On the third time I almost fell, I went to the computer when I got out and made the call to American Standard. Within a day or two, the rep was out here to tell us about them. He was quite nice and we’ve seen him three times since. Then we signed the contract and they put a walk-in tub. It seems to help my legs quite a bit and I don’t hurt as much. Plus, I love the way it makes me feel. I had read that it could eliminate pain medicine and I noticed that I wasn’t taking as much pain medicine as I have been. It is wonderful and especially good for someone who is having medical problems like me. It has helped me quite a bit physically.

My mother had fallen out in their conventional tub. I had an American Standard tub before and when I saw the advertisement on TV, I decided I needed to go that way and called them. Their sales rep was good during our conversation. And with the installation team, knowing that they came from so far, they did an excellent job. They were here on time and did what they had to do. American Standard is the way to go.

We've always had a tub, but we felt that at my age we should get a walk-in tub. It went very well with the American Standard guys that came to our home. The installers were independent contractors. They introduced themselves, put covering on their shoes, went into the bathroom to peel all that away, and put the new tub in. They were done in a day. Our experience with American Standard has been pretty good. Unlike so many companies, when there's a problem they figure out a way to solve it and they don't ignore it. That's the big difference in the way they approach a business deal. So, I would give A-plus on their follow-up to problems. That means there might be a problem here and there, but we all are ready to handle it as long as we get help to do it.

My husband wanted to get a walk-in tub and American Standard sales rep talked to him. The installation team's quality of workmanship was okay. They also cleaned up after themselves. But the sump pump they put in is not working. Water keeps being on the floor. Other than that, I like the tub's drain and massage things and although the walk-in tub is a little too tall for me, I feel safe with it. If someone is sick like I am and can't get in a regular tub, it is best they get an American Standard walk-in tub now because that does right.

American Standard's got a good name. My wife said she needed a walk-in tub, so I got one from them. I called them and they came right out. They made the door wider, changed the door frame, and put a new door up there. They had it done in about less than two days. The only thing is the caulking keeps coming up. It didn't stick very good. But I've ordered some that I'll fix with that. Also, I've called American Standard for one of the jets that fell out. I'm 82 years old, and I couldn't get down there to see how to put it back in. So I called them, they sent somebody out here, and they put it right back in. I'm satisfied with what American Standard did.

My wife and I are quite elderly. We're in our 90s. The sales reps of American Standard were knowledgeable and they answered all our questions. The installation of our walk-In tub worked perfectly. The installers were gentlemen and they were fantastic. They took care of everything and didn't waste a minute. They cleaned up whatever had to be done. So far, we're enjoying our tub very much and I love it. I used to take my showers and now I take the tub. But I have some bad news with moving since the tub has to stay. We've taken a very small apartment and it won't fit in. At my age, I have very few friends so it's gonna be hard to recommend American Standard. But we'll be moving out in a couple of months and the people that bought the place seem to like the tub very much.

They came in and said that it might take a couple of days to do it but they did it in one day. Everything was clean and new. The tub relieves the pain, relaxes my husband and makes him feel good. I’m very satisfied with it and I would recommend American Standard Walk-In Tubs.

American Standard guaranteed the work for the walk-in tub within 24 hours, so I needed it right away. They were very easy to contact and their sales rep explained the product very well. Also, the installer knew exactly what I needed. He was right on point and very professional. This new tub is for my son and it’s very helpful.

American Standard seemed to be the best and their walk-in tub would be adequate for me and my wife’s needs. Their rep was a good salesman and he was very well-informed on his product. I was also very pleased with the installation. It took about nine hours to do it and the guys were very professional. I am very well satisfied with our new bathroom. It is safer and very relaxing.

American Standard's in-home sales representative was very professional. He was very educated about the tub and explained it to me. The benefits were the selling point for me because I have some health issues. He guided me and offered me a couple of different selections, and we went into one type because it offered what I wanted and needed. The young men that came in to install the tub were very good. They were clean. They each had their own specific job and they were one right after the other, like repetition. They knew what to do and they fell into place. I only use the tub twice a week, but I’ve gotten so used to it and it flows right with my knees.

I called American Standard Walk-In Tubs for them to explain about the tub, then I signed with them. My interactions with their rep were good. He called right away and made an appointment. He then talked us into getting the tub. While the installers had to reschedule twice my experience with them was very good. The team itself was great, and the main guy was wonderful. However, the door that came opened the wrong way. They had to send it back and get another one, which delayed the installation also. With the tub, my husband has noticed changes in his sense of security when bathing.

While I'm still not disabled, I feel like I'll lose my balance when I close my eyes, which is what prompted to go with a walk-in tub. American Standard is a good brand and the lifetime warranty on parts and labor took it over the top for me. The in-home sales representative who came was helpful and very thorough. I was already sold before he got here and I was anxious for him to get to processing the order. The installer was very professional, accomplished and had a lot of skills. He did everything by himself and hauled away everything he took out. The work was everything he promised. With it, I feel comfortable that I won't fall.

I started out with a tub to shower conversion and I had somebody come in and give me an estimate. I ended up calling American Standard and I was more pleased with theirs. The in-home sales rep explained everything and he was very good about it. He guided me because I didn't know that I could get it without all the bells and whistles. The installation team was fine, but I had to have a recaulk done and they couldn't find anybody to do it. So, I ended up getting a general contractor here in town to do it. However, I hope they paid him because he has called me twice and he said that he hadn't heard from American Standard. Also, the remodel took a day or so extra because the installers ended up having to redo my wall. I wanted this tub for safety. Since using my soaker tub, I don't have to worry about falling anymore.

I used American Standard for updating my bathroom and I had good interactions with the in-home sales rep who came. The installation team was very professional too.

I'm still trying to get used to my new American Standard tub. The tub was gotten out of an emergency situation as I had an injury and was detained. While I miss my old tub, The American Standard tub is serving its purpose, nonetheless.

My wife mentioned walk-in tubs several times before she passed on. So, I figured that maybe it was time to get one. The reps from American Standard Walk-In Tubs were very helpful. A man showed up to go through all the product parts for the unit and then, people showed up within a couple of days from the time he was here to do the work. They got the installation done in one day. However, one of the pipes that was here previously didn’t go through the roof anymore. I had to call them back to get that fixed and they were out the next morning and got it all done in about an hour. They got up there and pushed the pipe back in and glued it again. Apparently, the previous people failed to glue it and when they moved the pipes around, it went unhooked and down it came. But everybody was good and I haven’t had any problems with it since. The tub is easy to get into and get out of and I feel safe doing it.

My wife saw American Standard Walk-In Tubs and called them. The installers were good on how the tub was supposed to be installed although there were a couple of things that could've been done a little differently. There was one place where the shower handle comes out that turned yellow instead of white. Then, there were a couple of places where the shower meets the wall that turned yellow too. I don't know if it was caulking that came out or not. Otherwise, everything else was pretty good. My wife uses it. She has Parkinson's and it helps her a lot.

The options that I've had to go with the tub made me go with American Standard. Also, there was the reheat of the waters that come out of the jets versus a heated seat on other kinds. I am 66 years old, so I will need it before long. I called American Standard and the rep came back. We put the deposit down and paid for the tub a little later than that. The installers were here for one day and got the tub installed. They had to take out the old tub and the shower that were in the space, then installed the new tub in the bathroom and put some finishing touches around it to fit. The tub is convenient and easy to get in and out of versus a normal tub with a regular height. We've had two problems with it, though. First, the pump went out and they couldn't install a new pump. Then shortly, they had to come and replace the blower. It took them about a week after the parts came. They said they were busy. Other than that, I like the tub.

My mother had extreme arthritis in both legs, two knee replacements, major back surgeries and more problems with her back. So, I wanted to get a walk-in tub. I went with American Standard because of the name and the reputation. Trying to get the tub purchased and installed went really well. But about four weeks after we installed it, we had a major problem with rats chewing all the wires of the motors, the blowers and the control unit. And it took us a week or two to get that resolved. They had to replace every bit of the wiring at the pumps and the blowers. We had to schedule everything. American Standard delivered everything ahead of time. The repairman came out here and then he did the repairs in two hours. I was very satisfied and happy with the tub.

I am 88 years old and I am no longer able to get in my tub. With my Jacuzzi tub, I had to climb over and was no longer able to stand up in the shower by myself. I needed to be able to sit down. I did an investigation at American Standard and all the ones. I liked American Standard as it drains in two minutes and it is low entry. Plus, they guarantee not only the labor but also the installation also which is very unusual. American Standard's sales team was very accommodating, and then when the tub was installed, the installers were gone in less than a day. I had them leave the Jacuzzi bathtub here as I was gonna sell it on eBay. I got a new American Standard toilet too and they took my old one away. Now, I am able to get in the tub. However, I would caution people that since the tub drains within two minutes, they will most definitely be sitting in the cold while they drain. Despite that, I love my tub.

We were thinking about remodeling the bathroom and we saw one of American Standard's deals on television. We gave them a call and the guy came. He looked it over and told us what it was gonna cost. I had thought about it and I said that I was getting a tub, a shower, and a Jacuzzi, an all-in-one thing. The installation team did a very good job. The problem was our doorways were too small and they had to take the doorjambs off. Also, the hallway was just a normal-sized hallway and it made it tough to get down from the living room through the hallway, then turn the corner and go into the bedroom.

I'd seen American Standard advertised a lot, and it is a good brand of bathroom equipment. When I spoke to their reps on the phone, they were very nice. They told me about the whole thing and what it would cost and the people that were gonna come out. The people who came out did a great job and they were in and out of here quickly. They cleaned up behind them. The sales people kept in touch. I spoke to them a couple of times, and they called after it was all in and asked me what I thought.

My wife had been wanting a walk-in tub for a long time. The sales representative from American Standard Walk-In Tub was great. He knew everything about walk-in tubs. Then two people came out to do the installation and they did it really quick. The quality of workmanship was very good. The only thing is what they have put, it was a really big tub. They had to make the door wider because they had to get it in. Nevertheless, my wife loves the tub. She uses it almost every day. She goes in there with a book and read and stuff.

We like the presentation about all that the American Standard walk-in tub could do and decided to go with them. The final product was good. My favorite feature of the tub is being able to walk in, sit down, relax and enjoy it. I love the walk-in tub and it's a quality product.

I'm not in the best of health so an American Standard walk-in tub was bought for me. Their sales rep knew what he was talking about. If we had questions, he had the answers. If he didn’t, he said he would call somebody and get the answer. The one who did the installation was only one man and he did it right down in a day's time from start to finish. He had the materials that he could just set the tub down and roll it in the house. He knew what he was doing. He didn’t stop to talk at any time. At least he stopped to eat lunch. American Standard should better get some more like him. Also, we just paid what they charged me.

We’re happy with our American Standard walk-in tub. They did a good job. I just showed the reps what I wanted and they took care of it. The installers were neat and clean, and made a good installation.

Had tub put in three months ago. Love it when it works. Have Parkinsonism and it really provided relief to stiffness. Unfortunately electronics on tub stopped working. Likely just faulty controller as it all went out at once. Called for service and they promised us contact within 2 days. No contact. Gave us number for service/installer. Called and left message but never able to contact and no callback. Called service again. They gave us cell phone number, same result. After series of calls service department gave us appointment date and time for service. Waited and no one came. Called cell phone again, still no response. Really miss the tub, it was good for my health, but it is just an expensive mistake.

American Standard had a good reputation. And our experience with them was great. Their rep was very good, especially when he came out and told us about the product. We talked to him more than anybody else. He took his time, and he answered all our questions. He did a really good job. The installers came and took out our old tub, put the new one in, cleaned up their mess, and left. The tub has been great. We got it for our aunt who is 95, and she enjoys it.

We went online and we figured that American Standard was a good brand so we picked a tub from them. Their reps have always been cooperative. We had a problem with the tub twice and they had to have a service person in. The first time, a gentleman came from Chicago. The second time, it took a long time for them to come. It must've taken about three weeks before we had service. The person said that he was just getting started in this area and that he had quite a backlog of stuff to do. Nevertheless, the tub is nice to use. It feels good to be in there and have the jets on. So far, we've been satisfied. They have been professional and they certainly did a good job with installation.
