American Standard Walk-in Baths Reviews

I called a representative, and he came by and he talked to me about American Standard's product. I decided to go with it. I checked on others and I thought theirs was the best. Some of them is cheaper but you don't get the same quality you get with American Standard. I love the tub. Everything works fine. The only thing is the knob to let the air in that makes the bubbles after you turn the jets on could have been raised up a little higher.

I liked the fact that the installers did the job well and they did it nicely. They tried to make sure that everything fit and matched well. I like the way the tub could open to the out so I can get in easier. It would’ve been nice if it was a little bit easier to climb into but other than that, it's fine. I can sit down and enjoy the shower and I don't have to stand up.

The tub is smaller than represented. You cannot rest your head on the cushion sitting in the tub unless you are a very short person. The door has to open to get into it and there is too little space. The installation wasn't easy. The salesperson measured and said it would fit if the woodwork was removed. Had to remove the door frame completely and cut into the wall that was tiled. They did put everything back together but the tile is chipped and cracked and is grouted with a different color.

I have nothing but praise for the lady that sat here and sold me the tub and the gentlemen that put it in. They were absolutely fabulous. I'm enjoying the tub now.

I enjoyed my tub for almost 2 years. BUT, My door gasket came loose, 2 months ago. I ended up with flooding. When I saw it was a gasket leaking, I saw black mold all around gasket at corners. 2 months to get a repair person to my home. First tub/bath experience after repair, gasket came loose in the same spot. I no longer feel safe using the tub for fear of 80 gallon flood in my home. Or trying to bath and watching for leaks.

The salesperson was knowledgeable and he showed me different companies as well as the price variation between different companies. He also explained to me the benefits of going through American Standard versus others. It was a good experience. The lifetime warranty was a no-brainer and everything is in-house. So if something happens to the walk-in tub, American Standard is the one who would come out to fix it.

From what I could read, the quality of American Standard was so much better. I like the way it was made, the fact that I could get one of those and have it installed, and that the company was well established. You wouldn't like some of these fly-by-night things that you're just taking a chance on. The sales rep went through about everything that the tub would do, what its features were, the capacities of the different things, how it was made and the manufacturing process. I'm well pleased with all that.

I was very happy with American Standard's service. I was not doing very well with the regular tub, so I avoided it. I'm sure everybody didn't appreciate it. Now, with our walk-in tub, I get bathed. If you need one, get one.

I was having some muscle aches and pains, and the bathroom needed some work. I thought, “They're offering a free toilet. And that might be just the thing.” We started looking into American Standard, and started off and talked to them. The fellow came over, and he presented a good picture. The price was right. I used to be a contractor, so I know a little about costs. That made it easier. The installation was about as perfect as any construction I've ever been on. I know a little bit about perfect projects. They're hard to come by. I'm very happy with the quality. What really pulled me in was the lifetime warranty. I also liked the acrylic form. It's neat. The before picture that it gave me for what it would do for the bathroom was very inviting. The after picture was even better. I’d recommend the company to anybody else that thinks they might need it.

American Standard gave me the best price. We like the tub.

I was looking at different tubs and then I saw an American Standard ad online. The other ones were all made in China. I went with American Standard and worked with a great in-home sales agent. The installation day got changed around quite a few times. The factory was shut down in Texas. Then they scheduled it. Then the guy called me and said, “Well, I had a job that fell through. The wrong stuff come in. Can we come and do it today?” I said, “Yup. No problem.” So, they came and installed it. They got here about 10:30 in the morning, and they were done by 5:00. Other than the tub takes a while to fill up, it's great. I like that I can get in it. I had a Whirlpool tub and I could get in it but I couldn't get out.

The salesperson was extremely pleasant and very professional. She brought in a portfolio of information and she was extremely knowledgeable about the brand. She was so great about making sure we knew that the product needed an independent breaker as well. This lady made sure that she had mapped out where the breaker was, that we had space available in the box, and that our water heater was big and new enough to support a tub.

The rep from American Standard was very nice and very professional. Installation was good. They finished in one day. It was all done very professionally, and it is very nice. Quality is good, too. I like being able to sit in a tub of water again. That feature is nice.

The salesperson laid everything out for us, gave us some choices, and explained everything perfectly. Then our bathroom gave the installation guy a lot of challenge and he was very professional in navigating it. He did a lot of actual bathroom rehabilitation instead of just installation. He replaced the whole floor, fixed some problems in the shower, and picked some trim that was broken when he got there. The job was supposed to be a day, but because of the defects of our bathroom, it took almost four days. American Standard didn't charge us any more for it, they just plowed through and did the work and it was perfect. I just wish the tub was a little bit taller so that I could get my shoulders under. I like to scrunch down and get the Whirlpool effect on my shoulders. But other than that, I love it. I'd go in sometimes two or three times a day.

My boss had recently bought a tub from American Standard and he referred them to us. My mother is handicapped and we just wanted to make it more easy for her. That is when he told us about it. We enjoyed the rep's visit. And then, I liked the fact that the installers pointed out a plumbing problem. And they very professional, clean and efficient. We enjoy the tub, particularly the jets in it. It's everything that we ever hoped for in a bathroom. It fit our needs perfectly.

The sales, installation, and quality are good, but we need a splash guard to keep the water in the tub. If one would take a shower and get the water splash over on the thing, the water winds up running down and run on the floor. I already told one guy about it. I'm gonna need to call and talk to him again and make sure what's the status with it. Other than that, the tub made a difference in my mother-in-law. She likes the bubbles, the lights, and all that stuff.

There were two guys that came to install the tub - the guy and his son. They were done in record time. I thought it was a couple of day but they were out of here the same day. They were cordial and cleaned up after themselves. It was worth it. We had to change out our water heater. We forgot about that. We had a small water heater. I had them put in a 50-gallon one, so now we can fill the tub all the way up. We have all the updates. The one I like the most is when it massages your feet. It's very refreshing. American Standard is worth a shot. They represent themselves well and we're happy with the product.

The estimate was higher, but I got to get the best. American Standard forewarned me that the installers were going to come in, had to rip things out in order to put things in. Things got a little dusty. Things are understandable. And they kept me abreast of what they were doing. I have an issue though. Hopefully they come and straighten it out. Everything is working, but the bottom massage jets on the floor are not working. It has been a week now. I'm waiting for someone to come out and fix it. I like the tub and I have no problem with it, but everything has to work.

The installation was good, except for the fact that the installers didn't cover the two little holes that they put in my ceiling. But they did an excellent job. The only problem with the tub is that by the time the water gets up to the knees, there's no more hot water. So, to get it higher, you're in cold water.

The installers were very efficient, professional and attentive to details. They were very good. If people can afford American Standard walk-in tub, they should get one.

American Standard's rep was very nice. The only issue I had was after the fact, we found out something he told us wasn't true, and that was with our hot water tank. We only had a 40-gallon one. He said it would be sufficient, but it wasn’t. We had to invest $3,000 or more into getting a new water heater. Also, we had an issue with the tub after it was installed. Initially, we had a leak, but the installers came back out and took care of it. We like the tub's jets.

If you want to spend $18,000 on a huge headache buy from them, otherwise avoid like the plague. The regional manager lied to me, the installers damaged our home, and I had to fight to get them to fix it. They tried to install the wrong backsplash because they didn’t have it in stock, then tried to blame me for changing which was clearly in the contract. Then took another week with a torn up bathroom for them to return. Finally got them to fix everything. A month later the drain handle fell off, called them and heard nothing for three weeks. Just called them again and the only response was we will tell the installer again. Please listen. Don’t give them the money, find a company that actually cares about customer service.

Two people showed up for the installation and they did a good job. The installers and the salesman both seemed to be very upfront with everything and it was a very good experience. Our hot water heater wasn’t big enough though so we haven’t been able to use the walk-in tub at all. We were just getting a larger hot water heater installed.

The sales rep from American Standard was very nice and the installers did good. They conferred with my son-in-law when there were any questions about the house. We had an instance where my heater wouldn't work in my kitchen and bathroom so we called them and Amir called us back in a couple of weeks, and he came by. My son-in-law installed a new water heater, which was a bigger one but when the American Standard installers got here, they needed a wire. When they were done wiring, they turned on the old water heater so, I always have hot water but I couldn't have any heat. Amir remembered what they had done so he switched the water heater connections. He got it fixed within 10 minutes.

The sales rep laid it all out, showed us what we needed to do and left it open. We had quite a few things to do on the house before we could bring the tub in and it took nine months to get it together. But he was patient and waited for us, and I was happy with his salesmanship. He was a very nice man. American Standard had a good crew of men who did the installation. They were neat and did a good job. The quality of the tub was wonderful. My wife and I are both 70. We bought it looking forward to 10 years down the line when we would need it but it's already a blessing just to get in the tub and run it. It's very soothing and relaxing.

The installation team was great. They were very polite and worked like busy little bees. I like the jets on the tub especially the ones for the bottom of your feet. We were impressed with the video on how the walk-in tub was made. However, it would be better if American Standard could lower the threshold. The fellows put a hand grabber up for us but when you're 75 years old, 6 inches down to the floor is a long way. I saw that Kohler has a 4-inch entry and that would be better. Still, I would tell friends to get over here and try it. My sister's coming in from Ohio in a couple of weeks and she's dying to try it. They had a hot tub and they got rid of that. I told her that she doesn’t need a hot tub with this.

After spending almost $19k, I saw the job when I got home and it needed to be re-done. That was January and was told he had to wait for American Standard to send him the supplies to re-do. This is May. A month ago I talked to a lady at american standard about the walk-in door leaking. I was told she was shipping a box to my house and to contact CJ about getting it fixed. No box. Have talked to CJ 3 times and no box and my wife has not been able to use her tub in a month. Service after the sales-not good. Cash the check very fast-yes.

American Standard's reps were very good. I am happy with them. The walk-in bath is the best thing I got. It has made it a lot easier for me to get in and out.

I love the American Standard walk-in tub. The sales rep explained everything and I was really pleased. If I went to see what the installers were doing, they explained what they were doing. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave a mess.

American Standard seemed professional. They gave a good sales pitch or demonstration. The agent knew what he was talking about and answered all my questions. The day the people came in to install it, they removed the old fixtures and put the tub in. It took them a good hard day. When they left it, the mess was cleaned up and hard to tell they were there, except for the new tub. It has a chair to sit down in, a big shower head, and a removable shower wand. I’m glad I got it. It's comfortable, easy to use, and it stays clean.

We scheduled American Standard to come out and talk to us. The young man who came was knowledgeable, pleasant, and polite. The installers were very professional and polite. They worked in a timely manner and finished up sooner than we had expected. The tub that the walk-in tub replaced was triangular-shaped. In order to cover up the tile work and not have to have a tile person come in and do additional work, the installers moved it out further from the wall so it takes up a lot more space than I anticipated, but it's fine. It feels really good to be able to get in and soak in a tub.

We got the too big a tub for our bathroom the first time. When the peopled tried to install it, they couldn't get it in. The rep did some measurements wrong. Then he finally got us right then. The installers were here for a day and they've done pretty well. I'm satisfied with it. There's just one part I don’t like. Back where they put the cabinet in the back of it doesn't drain the water out of it if the tub had too little movement. Where the water would run off, head back into the tub, it'd be better when you take a shower. But my wife likes it. She said it relaxes her.

The installers were very fast. It was supposed to be a two-day job and they got it done in less than a day. They were out by 3 o'clock. The salesman said that it would be paint-ready, but it's not what I'd consider to be one. Then the trimming around the door is not really good. But as fast as they put it, and as fast as they got the wiring done, this is to be expected. I'm going to look at it a little bit more, but I may need to go in and just replace some of the trim around the door. However, the tub fits in there very well, it was a good finish.

Sometimes, the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. After going through two sales reps, they finally got it figured out to make sure I was taken care of. It took me from October until last month to finally get the product in and get it installed. There was a whole bunch of delays, but it got worked out. American Standard has great installers who are very nice and professional, and the tub seems to be A-OK, especially for elderly people.

The project manager for the job was extremely nice. The installation was a bit hairy because there was a water leakage but they cleaned it up very well. They worked really hard but they need a little more help making the job look professional. They said they didn't move the toilet but they did to get the tub in the bathroom. You could tell because the caulking around the bottom of it was new. It was kind of a little messy but not enough to make them take it out and do it over again. My sister was happy that she had gotten the walk-in tub and and she did like using it.

I am one of 50 million Americans with chronic pain and my pain management doctor recommended hydrotherapy, just as the pandemic began. I contacted American Standard and a competitor, unfortunately choosing American Standard because of the advertised functionality of the tub with jets at the wrist to address the carpal tunnel diagnosis. Suffice it to say the salesman misrepresented key points about which I specifically asked (acceptance of health insurance, ability to use Epsom salts, contract, etc.).

I was impressed when the representative came out and discussed the product with me. Then the installers were here when they said they would be here. The older gentleman who was responsible and his helper were both were very professional did a very good job. I got the tub mainly for my wife because she has dementia. They’re easy to access, in and out and I also like the jets.

The communication from American Standard was poor in the sense that they never really confirmed the date of installation until two days prior and that was unacceptable. But these two fellows from Serbia who came out to do the installation were excellent. I was concerned with the floor and they put the pads down so that none of the equipment or the shoes would scuff the floor.

The sales rep told us that the installation would take one day but the installer did it all by himself and it took two and a half days. But he worked really hard. I like the jets and the lights in the tub and the quick draining is really nice but the tub is having problems. We have to have the installer come back and fix it and he can't come back clear until the end of the month, which is kind of disappointing. He was caught up in Boise. I wish that somebody was closer or that American Standard could get somebody here sooner.

We wanted to go with something that’s good quality for our tub. We have American Standard toilets in our home and we know that they make good products. When the salesman came out, he told us that American Standard is guaranteed for a lifetime warranty with labor included. The people that came and installed the tub did a wonderful job. They fixed it to go next to my shower and it works. The tub looks beautiful and we really enjoy it.

Our tub was installed on 2/4/21 and was to have included a linen colored water closet. The installer indicated they were out of stock and would be installed later. It's been 7 weeks and I have called 3 times in the last three weeks. Each time I was told someone would call me back but never did. Very poor service for a company of your size and reputation! I'm ready to file a complaint with the State Registrar of Contractors.

Everything has been good since the installation of our American Standard. The quality is very good. I enjoy it.

The sales rep of American Standard was great. He came in and showed us various tubs at various prices. I showed them where we wanted to put it. He said that that shouldn't be a problem but they'd have somebody come out and take a look at it. Other than that, he was good. He helped us and assisted us in some of the choices that we made, so it was good. The installation was great too. The guys came early in the morning. They were there all day. They cleaned up very well. They were gone by nighttime and just told us to fill the tub up with water and let it sit for 24 hours, which we did. It's a nice tub. The only issue that we've had with this since it's been in was that the caulking on the front of the tub has come loose from the wall backing. They had called me to come to do that, but I was in the process of getting my wife to a doctor's appointment. They haven't called back yet to repair it, but I’ll call.

Everybody was great at American Standard and the installation was perfect. But when they sent the tub, they didn’t send enough magnets. I didn't realize it until afterwards. I talked to the installer and he said that he would order some. The magnets came and I put them on where the panels were falling off. It was okay until I found out there was another panel coming loose. I looked in there and the magnet was missing there too. So, I need another package of magnets so I can fix it. Still, the quality seems to be good.

When I called American Standard, the man was really nice and spoke to me very politely. He answered all my questions and he knew that my husband didn't want it because he didn't want to put that much money in it. But he didn't say anything. He just let me do my business. The installation was terrific. They wouldn't even let me give them anything to drink. It was so hot that day. But I put the air conditioner on the house. They did everything perfectly and they did it in one day too. I even offered to fix them a sandwich for dinner. They wouldn’t even take that. They wanna get through. They were very nice and before they left, they showed me how to use it. I love it. I've even brought people into the house to see.

I've enjoyed my American Standard ever since I've had it. When I get in there, I like how relaxing it is. My son is a plumber and he said to be sure that I use American Standard products, and I found out that they were a Texas company. They did a good job during the installation. I have a window that I wanted to be sure to be waterproofed. They came back and waterproofed my windowsill.

I wish my American Standard walk-in bathtub is larger. It’s not as large as I thought it was gonna be. I wish it was larger where you could stretch out more. It's alright, though. I'm dealing with it. I was having difficulty with my mobility, and standing up in the shower and stuff like that. That was why I purchased it. The cost was okay. The sales rep was okay, too. He was a good person.

The installers had to go off a couple times to get either a piece of molding. They came back the next day. I wouldn't say it was perfect, but it wasn't horrible. They did a great job. The thing we like most about the tub is you can step into it, you don't have to step up. It's not like getting a regular tub. It was very painful for my mother to get into a regular tub, so getting into the walk-in tub where she only have to lift her foot up a couple inches, and then she can sit down. There are many other things that are very nice about it. I like to stand in the shower and let the hot water hit me.

The installation of our American Standard tub was fine. The knob on the side to drain doesn't work though. The installers said they’ll come out as soon as the company orders the part. They still wouldn’t notify me, and I hadn't heard from anyone. Other than that, I like all of the features.

American Standard is very good. Everything works well. I really wanted the shower thing that comes up. They are telling me that it hangs, and that's the only thing I was discouraged with. But in the thing they're advertising, another company was showing that big showerhead over the bath and that was what I was looking for. But I've got what I got. I can't do anything about it. The tub is safe. I always take a shower. My husband sits in the tub and relaxes a lot. He has circulation problems in his legs, so that's really good to them.

Their sales rep was very helpful, gave me the prices, told me what I was getting and worked with me. The installation was great too. I love the jets. The only thing I don't like about it is, it's small. I was envisioning when I could stretch out and lay back in, but it's not really designed for that. But other than that, it's awesome.

The installation of our walk-in tub was great. The tub is good. I liked it. My mom liked it, too. She thought it was great.

American Standard seemed to have been better for us in terms of the cost. I'm enjoying the tub with the water being up as high as what it is to be able to soak like that.

I'm happy with the tub. The sales guy was okay. The install team was absolutely phenomenal and I'm happy with the install. It was a very professional and friendly experience. It was very satisfying. But they could always make it a little cheaper. I'm somewhat limited mobility-wise and I haven't been able to take an actual bath for about 15 years. I can sit down, but if I ever sit down that low, I'll never get back up again. The tub gave me the ability to actually take a bath and soak in it. Also, with the jets, it's wonderful.

When they first sold the tub to us, they said they’d be here three days to install it. But they did it in eight hours. It was a father and two sons and they were great. They really cleaned up after themselves and fixed everything up. I really like the tub. I'm an older person and I can sit down and take a shower. Everything’s all right, except the drain. It’s got a fast-drain and it won't stay open when it's draining. You have to hold it to drain it out.

The sales guy was very helpful. He told us everything we needed to know and what to expect. He covered everything so that we knew what we were getting into. The only problem I had with the installers was that they would say they were going to be here by 9:00, and it would be 10:00 and then they would call us at 10:00 and say they were still running late. They did that every day and I was a little bit disturbed with that. They just told us about it an hour and a half after when they were supposed to be here. I'm a stickler for people being on time, and for it to be every day, I was not happy with that. But the walk-in tub has been a lifesaver. I can take a bath again. It is worth it. I love it. I was in there yesterday, taking a bath, and I noticed that the caulking in one spot on the back is not sticking. It's the only place on the whole tub that has come apart from the tub.

We bought the tub because of the sales guy. He was a good salesman. But afterwards, we had regrets because of the cost of the thing. The installers were excellent too. They were very efficient and did a good job on it. We were satisfied with all the workers. They were real good workers. The only thing that I noticed when I was finishing off the room was that they put the tub in, and it wasn't square to the wall. It was two inches off.

The sales guy knew everything he needed to know to sell the tub. When the installers came, they worked really fast. The tub is great and I like it. It was installed in January but I have a problem now because my tub looks like it's warped. The back padding of the wall is warped. So it's bowing out from the wall, like it didn’t stick. I've been trying to get them to call me back but they haven't yet.

We purchased four tubs at the same time and had them all put in four different houses. We had a good installer. Everything works fine.

I really love the tub. It’s an ideal thing for me because I step up into it, and I don't have any problems getting out. I have a bad back and the massaging with water really helps it. It takes a lot of the pain out of it and I sleep better at night. It's good for me. The sales rep that I dealt with was a very good guy. He explained it to me real well, and I well understood what I was getting into. He was very pleasant. He told me everything. The installers did a good job. They were very professional. They cleaned up real well and made sure that I knew that everything was working right before they left. They were very good. I recommend them highly.

The rep was nice. I wanted to see a tub but he said there was no way to see one, which I didn't agree with. He showed me little pictures. But I should have been able to see it before I bought it. The installers looked at our 40-gallon hot water heater. When they brought the first tub, it was too short. I couldn't even stretch out in it. They said, "Well, we have another one," it's 11 inches longer "and it will fit and everything." So, we assumed that our hot water heater would take care of it. But nobody told us any different that it wouldn't.

We had seen three companies and it was time to buy a walk-in bath, and we decided on American Standard. The rep was very informative and willing to listen and answer my questions. The installers cleaned up behind themselves and took care of things. They showed me what it was they were doing and why they were doing it. My mother will be 91 in May and the tub is cold to get in. It does heat up but I don't know what American Standard would do to solve that issue.

I had an excellent sales agent as well as installers for my walk-in tub. I like the availability of having the options for therapeutic value. On the whole, I had an outstanding experience and I would do it again.

It looked like a really nice tub but I’m not very happy with it. When you’re trying to fill the bathtub up, you're freezing to death, because water doesn't fill up that fast. It's already leaked down into my living room through the floor. There's really not a whole lot of legroom. When you go to lean back, you kind of sit there and you can’t stretch your legs out. If I had a choice to do it again, I wouldn't.

Everybody from American Standard that I had to deal with was quite nice. The representative gave me the whole thing on the computer and answered any questions till I didn't really have any. I knew that American Standard was the brand I wanted. The walk-in tub wasn't installed when we first scheduled. There was a problem, but I got that corrected quickly. The installers met the next day and they installed it in one day. They did a nice job. They were very polite. I like the accessibility of the walk-in tub and the warmth that I have. My mother has a sore back and that will help her. Also, I have a hematoma on the leg I'm working on and that’ll help with that, as well.

American Standard is a well-known company and they’ve been around for a long time. But I probably paid more than I needed to. The customer service was fine and the installation itself was okay. The only thing was they were supposed to complete any work they had to do in the existing flooring materials. When they installed it, they put the tile back in. There were a couple of cracked pieces that weren't cracked to start with but by the time they were finished, they were cracked. They reinstalled those instead of putting in new ones and I'm not happy with that. A couple of members of my family have used the walk-in bath twice but I don’t personally need It yet. It's good for people that are having problems with moving around and standing up and down but it's complicated for me.

Once I made a decision that I wanted this type of product, I started to do research. I found that American Standard was superior to everything else after the whirlpool experience. The rep was very straightforward. He gave me the facts and the price and we agreed upon it. The installers were very good and quiet. They did their job and cleaned up afterwards every day. I use the product three times a day and if I can squeeze in four, I will. You feel like a new person. I've always gone to the spa for the last 40 years. Since we can't go to the gym anymore and the only access I had to the whirlpool, the sauna and the steam room was at the gym, when that was taken away, a part of my lifestyle was taken away. I can't replace the sauna and the steam room. If I've had places where I could, I would buy those things but since I don't, I could replace the whirlpool. That's like heaven on earth.

The bathtub we had in Canada was one of the very small ones from the 1960s. I couldn't even stretch my legs out in. Great for kids. When I had a house built, I thought, "It'd be so nice to have a soaking bathtub." We went to a surplus store and I saw one with the jets and I thought, "Okay, that's the one I want." I told my brother that because he was building our house. It was put in and I never even tried to get in it before. When I did, I realized I'm short. I'm 5'3" and my inseam is 22 inches and the bathtub was taller than that. I had to hold on to the safety bar and then hop over into the tub. I had one bath in it, and after that, it was nothing but showers.

We talked to a sales guy and everything was fine. He didn’t force the product on us and I was glad. I just didn’t think the walk-in tub was gonna be quite that spendy. American Standard should also be telling customers to make sure they have enough water heater capacity for that tub. The tub takes quite a bit of water and sometimes, that’s an extra expense. It would be nice to know that. I was able to make something work by turning the heat up on it so I could use more cold water with it. Still, I ordered a bigger water heater.

I did a walk-in bath mainly for the needs of my wife as she has difficulty getting into a tub. That had been on my mind for a long time. American Standard's reputation goes beyond other programs. Customer service was very fine and the installation took two days, which was what I was told from the beginning. The guy who did the work was very courteous. We have two homes, one right next door to each other. The tub is in the home that we will eventually move into. I used the walk-in tub once and so did my wife. It was a very good experience and we like the walk-in tub very much. I was very satisfied. The walk-in tub was expensive but it's worth it in the long run.

I've heard about American Standard for a long time and I've gotten advertisements for them. I was waiting for them to have a financing system to pay for it and when I read they did, I turned around and got myself a walk-in bath. But it’s already got something wrong with it. It has one jet that is not spraying out water. It has got a loose drain that has a lot of clay in it. I called American Standard and told them.

I love my American Standard bathtub. I like the jets and the tub, but not the shower. Getting up out of it was difficult. There are two handles, one for hot and one for cold, and then the faucet where the water comes out. If it had just the hot and cold in one handle, it would be easier to be able to tell exactly where I should put it. Because the first time I got in, I almost burned myself.

American Standard's rep was awesome. He took his time. And we just talked about it, no pressure. And then, when the men came to install, they were very good and respectful of our home. It was a pleasure to be around them all. Good experience. Our walk-in our tub has been a neat thing for us. My husband didn’t have any support to get in and out of the tub. So, our tub is good for him. It’s also good for his circulation. It is one of the things that is a big part of his rehab. Plus, I have an inflammation in my knee that has been bothering me for two years. And now, it's not hurting. I’m doing therapy on my knee, and the tub is working for that too.

We’re up in years so we needed not to crawl over a tub. The American Standard rep was very good, and the installers were very nice. They cleaned up nicely and did a good job.

We got our estimate from American Standard and got the guy out here. The guy was so professional and clean. In two and a half days, he was done. We love it. Make sure that American Standard keeps on hiring people like the gentleman who was out here. He did a superb job. The tub looks fabulous. It makes our bathroom look spiffy.

We needed a walk-in tub, and American Standard could give it to us sooner than anybody else. It was delayed by two weeks because whoever filled the order didn't fill it right. I'm still unhappy about that. Nobody will help me. I was looking for a break on the price because it was a great inconvenience. They screwed up the order. Other than that, the installation went well. It was a one-day deal. It just looks like we have to buy a new hot water heater because we can't keep the water warm for very long.

The American Standard rep was really wonderful. The installation went well. It was finished in two days. As far as the tub, I like the leg massage. I've not really managed the water level where it doesn't flow over yet. That is the one feature I'm having a problem with. The shower feature is hard to use without the water flowing around the edges, which means it flows out to the floor, so that's the hardest feature on the tub. Other than that, the quality is good.

The sales rep from American Standard was great. Everything went off good and the team did an excellent job installing it. We couldn't be happier. The thing that I really like about the walk-in tub is that my wife can get in it and get a really good bath. She broke her hip several years back and then had to have it redone. So, she was to the point where she couldn't get in a regular tub and she couldn't take a shower. I was worried that she was going to get hurt falling or something like that.

I'm rather up in age and the house that I built originally, I bought all American Standard. So, I was sure I would get a quality product. The other ones, I had heard from one, but never heard of the third one and that was the one my friend bought. I never heard of that brand, so, that one was struck out. And the other one, I said, "What the hell. I'll just call American Standard and give them -- let me know what's going on." They did, and I'm very satisfied with what I have. The job is outstanding. The gentlemen came in. The only thing they asked me for was for more time, and they could finish up in one day. And I said, "Take it all the time you want. I'm about to." The lead man of the group was from the Middle East and my grandparents were from there, so we could converse a bit. He was very surprised. Everything worked out very well. I didn't even had to get a painter.

The rep was very knowledgeable and good. He was telling us everything that would happen. Then the installation team got the walk-in tub all in in one day and it looked beautiful. My husband uses it the most and he likes the whirlpool action with the jets. But when getting into the tub, the door goes inward. My husband has Parkinson's and it's hard for him to get his feet in and close the door because he can't maneuver very well. So if we had a door that went out, that would have been much easier for him.

My wife had a hard time getting out of the regular tub and that was one of the main reasons we got the walk-in tub. It cost a lot of money. But safety-wise, it has really improved the conditions in the bathroom. She's able to walk right into the tub and get in and out of it very easily. But their reps could have explained some stuff a little better. My wife has problems with numbers and buttons. She also had a complaint about the booklet because it didn't answer a lot of the questions we had. We'd heard that you couldn’t use regular soap in them to clean yourself up. But I finally called American Standard and we got that answered.

American Standard's rep knew what she was talking about. My grandson can't walk so we got the model of walk-in bathtub from them that opens up so he can go from his wheelchair into it. The installers were wonderful. They took their precautions for COVID and were very neat. They protected the floors and did their job. If we had any questions, they answered them. There was a problem with one of the things and they fixed that.

I went with American Standard because of their reputation and the benefit of having a warranty on my walk-in bath for parts and labor for my lifetime. My rep Harry was fantastic. I contacted him about a question I had and he was very accessible. The installers did a great job and they kept everything nice and clean. The job was done a lot faster than I imagine a construction like that would have been. The only thing that I would have liked that would have been different would be that what I got could be more of a soaker-type tub instead of upright. It's a large chunk of money but this walk-in bath makes my daily life a lot easier. If it's something that you need for the ease of taking a bath, it's worth it. I'm glad I got it.

I've always admired the Japanese tubs that have high standards for cleanliness, health, and bathing, which American Standard is very similar to. Their representative was more active compared to the other major line that I called and never responded for two or three weeks. The service rep came out right away. I met with my sons and myself, and we had one of three bathrooms that would accommodate the type of tub, so that was what we decided on. Then the installers worked with my grandson and did a good job. They came out twice, but they have not come back to finish the safety handrails and a couple of minor scratches. Maybe they didn't know where we wanted the handrails. I need somebody to reach back to the service people to call me about that. But everything seemed to go quite well.

We're in our 70's and we can't get out of a regular tub. Buying an American Standard tub is a big investment and it was a lot of money for it. The installation team was nice, friendly, clean, and professional. They explained things to me. There's one problem I have with the tub. I'm 5'11 and when I sit down, I have to lean off of the seat in order to cover my shoulders because I can sit in the tub and it just does half of me. I can get it to cover my shoulders but I have to slide down where my rear is off the seat and I lean on my backside.

American Standard's sales rep was good and we like our walk-in bath as long as it stays running. It leaked one time and they resealed it.

I'm glad I got my American Standard walk-in tub. I bought it since I recognize the brand and my experience with their sales reps was very good. Their installers were very professional, too. So far, I like the ease of using the tub and all the functions there are on it. It's really nice.

The wife's disabilities when getting in and out of a regular tub led us to look into getting a walk-in. We've seen American Standard at Menards and I've seen them on television. We decided to buy from them and the installation was fantastic. The installers went back out the same day and everything was done. I like the idea that we can get in and out of the tub without any problem and it's very nice that way. But other than that, it's got plenty of good things I'd like to check. It has jets on it but I don't like the regular jets. It's kind of what I expected when we bought it though and the wife seems to like the tub very well. So, I got no complaints. I'd also recommend it to anybody, especially those with disabilities.

I couldn't get in the bathtub. American Standard was in my AARP booklet and I decided to buy their walk-in tub. Their sales reps were fine and the installation went really well. The installers were done in no time but I thought the tub would be a little lower getting into. It’s a little high, but that’s okay.

The man that did the installation was very professional. I felt very comfortable with him. He explained everything. It was quite a big deal to bring the tub up the stairs, and he had to redo the whole door to get it through. He was very impressive. He did a good job. It went great. I enjoy the tub very much.

The installers were fine and I couldn't ask them to be any better. But the tub costs a lot of money, and we're kinda disappointed in a way. It's not as good as we thought it might be. The seat needs to be lower in it because when we sit down on that tub, the water is up on us partially there. The seat is not the most comfortable thing.

I like that the tub has the aromatherapy system. The rep that I dealt with was a good salesman. The installers were fine but they did some damage to our house. They put holes through the wall. They repaired them but we had to pay to have the walls repainted.

We called a couple of other companies and American Standard seemed to have the better price. We did the reviews and people talked about how they stand behind their work so we decided to give them a try. The salesperson came out. He showed us all the stuff that we wanted and we went with them. The supervisor of the installation team, Steve, and his guys were absolutely amazing. They said it would be a two-day project, and it was. They explained everything to us step-by-step as they were taking out the old tub.

This is like the second time American Standard cancelled on us. There is only one walk in tub installer in your crew? I see the reviews for the year of 2020 in other states and the work is being done. Why are we having this problem? First the tub came in damaged. Now the installer is sick. They could not honor the initial date 11/6/2020. It’s been two months time wasted. I have another crew to come in to finish what they don’t do and other reconstructions to my home. I’m trying to get things done prior to my surgery, but the cancellations are delaying my health for healing and recovery.

My son was searching and decided that American Standard was the place to go. The two guys that came out to put it in were really good. They left me alone because of the COVID. The handle cranks down to the left when not using it to keep the door shut securely. I took it to the right to open the door, got in, shut the door, and I didn't crank it so I had water. I didn't know it was going down in the basement. I didn't even have the tub full of water because I was having some problems getting used to it. I was up towards the front and I wasn't collecting water. I had the drain open. I looked down over the tub and the floor was soaked. I got out of there and got a bunch of towels and soaked all that up. Then my son came home and went down to the basement. I had my mom's lift chair down there and it was totally broken. A neighbor said to me that I just got that. I agreed, but it was not the tub's fault. It was mine.

Kohler came out and they wanted 36,000. American Standard did it for 18,000. It’s probably more expensive than what I like it to be, but it’s not as bad as some of the competitors. I had two guys that installed the tub. They really worked hard and they knew what they were doing. I was very happy with the way they handled everything. There was just a little miscommunication. I thought that the apparatus for the toilet was going into one of my bedrooms, and they put it on the main one instead. Then I have a very thin toilet seat on the one in my bedroom. I was a little disappointed in that. I would like to have a thicker one since I didn't get one that was made for it. That seems to be a problem for me to get up and down. I also lost the manual to it. If there’s any way I could get another one, that would be nice. However, I like that I could get in and sit down, and enjoy taking a bath and washing my hair with the way it is done.

The features that American Standard offered was a little more than the other brands. But my wife suffers from some aches and I didn't let the cost bother me. That's my baby and what she needs, she's getting. The guys came in and took out the old tub. They did a fantastic job, didn't leave any debris laying around, and explained the features to both of us. However, my wife still had some problems sometimes in there. I couldn't get her to understand the adjustment, to get the wand into the slide bar. But it's all in what you want, and if you want a good product, you got to pay for what you get. If any of my golfing partners talk about getting one, I would definitely recommend American Standard.

The sales rep was very knowledgeable and he explained everything to me. The installation crew was very neat and on time. I feel safer and more relaxed since having this bathtub. My back is not as bad as it was. My knees and my hip are better. I feel good when I sit down in it. I also like its vibration and lights features. I mentioned it to a couple of friends of mine and they said if anything ever happens to them when they can't get in and out of their own bathtub, they will consider getting one.

American Standard is expensive. But I was able to negotiate a little bit better price on it. I would love to have seen it lower, but I'm 78 and I don't have long enough to worry about that. I liked everything about sales and the installation. They were very knowledgeable, very thorough, and I didn't feel like I was misled in any way. I'm quite happy.

The installers were great and everything's fine with the tub. The draining is perfect. It drains so fast you don't even have time to rinse or wipe it out. One thing that I don't like is it takes too long to fill up. It's no fun to sit there waiting. Also, it's not the exciting thing that I thought it would be. But I'm satisfied with it. I probably would tell a lot of people about it but most of my friends can’t afford it.

The salesman should have told me that a 50 gallon hot-water tank was required. My tank holds 30 gallons so I am unable to fill the tub with hot water. After installed, the tub did not drain. The installer replaced the knob needed for quick draining but it still would not drain. Turns out I had to hire a plumber for $650 to replace the drain pipe. Total price....over $14,000...

We looked at Safe Step and American Standard's price was a bit better. The installers were nice and they did a great job. But the first time they came out, they brought a little short tub. The guy who sold the tub to me didn't say anything about a short tub and a long tub. But, the installer was nice enough to ask me if I wanted to sit in the short tub and see it or would I rather get the long one. I said I'd rather have the long tub so they took the short one back.

An American Standard walk-in tub is guaranteed for a lifetime. Plus, it has a fast drain in it and the jets. Their people were professional and everything went fine during the installation. I like all the features of the walk-in tub. It is worth having.

I'm 84 years old. I've been an architect for probably 50 years and I've known American Standard as a plumbing fixture company for years. I've always trusted them. In the last four years, they had ads in the paper about their new walk-in bathtub and that caught my attention. Their salesperson was fine and he was accurate. I enjoyed watching the installers. Being a retired architect, I understood what they were doing and I appreciated that. The job was well done.

I’m up in age and my bedroom is upstairs. We were looking at what's going to happen if I can't make it up the stairs. I brought it up. If something happens to me and I can't make it upstairs, at least I got a shower and the tub down here. I liked the whirlpools for my body to loosen it up. We talked about it and I decided to get a walk-in tub. The installation took one day and the crew that did it did a good job. They were very clean and neat. Everything was good. I'm fine with American Standard and I would recommend it to people.

American Standard has top-notch materials and their warranties were good. I wanted to go with someone that I knew was a well-respected company and I'm familiar with the American Standard. The installation took two days because there was a lot that had to be done to remove what was already there. The crew was wonderful and they were very considerate of us because we stayed in the house the entire time. They did a good job. They made suggestions on some things that we could do and showed us how to use the system once it was set up.

I have some physical ailments and I needed to be able to get in the water to relieve pain. I looked online and looked at several different brands. A walk-in tub was really quite expensive. I got one from American Standard. They have a lifetime warranty. That tub is my 75th birthday present and our Christmas present for this year. In the beginning, I told the gentleman that I had no idea what this cost was going to be. He showed me all these things and they were wonderful. But he wouldn't give me the price until right at the end. And it was a little confusing. It was $23,000. I saw on the ad that you get a toilet and you get $500 off. We didn't take the toilet. But I thought there'd be more discounts since my husband is a disabled vet and we're both seniors. We did get about $500.

I liked the name brand and price point of American Standard. I got their walk-in tub and their installers were fantastic. The tub helps me relax more. But there are a couple of things I wish I could have known a little more ahead of time like how deep a person sits in it. It's not deep enough.

The door opens out was the main factor. The rep was a very nice person and seemed to have all the information. The installation crew was very good. Two nice young men. They were very knowledgeable and very helpful. I'm very pleased with the American Standard tub, both with the amount of time it takes to fill and to empty, which seems to bother a lot of people, but I find it very reasonable. And we enjoy the experience. My husband is very pleased with the jets.

I did some internet research and I was impressed with American Standard. The rep was wonderful. One of the best people I've ever dealt with in that regard. She was convivial, but she knew her stuff. And too many people we find in sales don't know the products well enough. I was also very impressed withthe people I called, before we got to the actual sales rep, when we started talking turkey. The company, the people that we dealt with, and in sales, were very good.

I got the American Standard tub because I'm handicapped and because a bidet came with it. I've been thinking of it for more than two years because it's a tremendous expense. And I probably would have to go into a rest home. The installers were very courteous. I wanted it balanced. It was wonderful that they were able to do it. I thought they were going to be here for two days but the gentleman finished in one day, which was a wonderful thing for me.

My husband had back surgery. And because of the problems he had, he had a lot of nerve damage. When my husband went to therapy with the heat business in the big tub they put him in, that was his most comfortable time. One of the things that stood out was the guarantee. I looked into the other ones on that, and then I talked it over with the family, and we decided on American Standard.

The advertisement I saw about American Standard Walk-in Baths on Facebook is what really got me more interested in it. It was on there quite a bit, so I kept reading. My husband and I talked about it. We decided we really do need one of these. I inquired about it on Facebook and got a lot of information, and then we got a call from somebody that made an appointment to come out and talk to us about it. He was very friendly and even liked our dogs. We have a Schnauzer. We usually put him away when somebody comes over because he's really friendly and some people don't like dogs. But this man, he liked him so much. He explained everything really well and he didn't put pressure on.

American Standard is just a well-known name, and I saw it in an AARP magazine. The entire process took three days. The only thing is, the tub is not long enough. You can't get your shoulders without scooting far down. I thought at least it would hit your shoulders and neck, but it doesn't. Other than that, I had excellent experiences with the rep and the installers.

Neil was a very good salesperson. The installers were fine. The electricians and the plumbers had a healthy disagreement on what should be done. It was kinda funny but everything went fine. They got the tub in. It took a little more than a day and the electrician was mad about that. I love my tub. I like the Jacuzzi part and the lights. I like the way I can get in and out without any trouble.

The sales rep from American Standard was a really good guy. He knew what he was talking about and was very convincing. The installers were really good too. The walk-in tub was a present for me. Now, I use my bathtub more. They ought to come standard in houses now.

I'm 65 years old and I couldn't get in the tub. I also hate showers. I needed a swing out door instead of the one that goes in and American Standard was the one who offered it. I looked at their knobs and they were good and heavy. I like the product and I got a little size to me. My sales rep, Shawn, as well as my installation guy, Corey, were good. Corey taught me everything about the tub. I had one little issue with the door. He came right out, fixed it, and adjusted it. The first couple of times I got in, I was crying just being able to feel that water. It was amazing. Just being able to get in, sit down, with all the good bars to help me pull myself in, was wonderful. I can get around a little better. I also like aromatherapy. I even gave her a name, which is Nefertiti. I sleep so good. It is worth every penny. I tell people everywhere about my Nefertiti. I love her. I have a sister that lives in Houston. She was here and she got a chance to sample. She's going to get her one.

I heard that American Standard was one of the best out there and everybody's been satisfied with them. Kohler was expensive and didn't really offer as much as American Standard. The only thing Kohler had that I thought American Standard would have been nice to have is the heated seat and back. The American Standard salesman wanted to make us happy. He was very good. He explained everything. I didn't like the price, but that was a good price for this type of tub for my husband. The only thing that my husband still has problems with is getting in and out. The step is still a little high for him. But the installation went good. The installers did a great job.

My plumber told me, "There's only two for you to look at. One is American Standard, and one is Kohler." The guy that came out from American Standard was simply great. I was sold on it when he got through talking to me about it. So, I didn't even ask Kohler to come out. The guys that put my tub in were excellent. If I could learn how to work our American Standard tub, I think I'd love it. I'd been thinking about it. I have neuropathy and I'm on a walker, and I thought it would help my legs. I bruised my leg and the back of my leg, and it's hard for me to sit in there long enough for it to do any good. I'm one to hop in and out.

The rep from American Standard came out and talked to us for a couple hour. We ended up with both a walk-in tub, and then, we changed our other tub in our other bathroom. So, we had two jobs, but it was by the same installer. I'm having him come back because the faucet drips. He turned the faucet on to let the water come in. Then, it starts dripping out of the showerhead. It's usually cold water. You're just getting stuff dropping on your feet. So, something's wrong.

American Standard is a well-known brand. We have Kohler and other people here. I just thought that American Standard is the best quality. The sales rep I dealt with was really nice. He showed up on time and explained everything. The installer was the absolute top-of-the-line guy. He did some demonstrations and cleaned up after himself. With COVID, he always had his mask on. I bought the tub for my dad, and I don't have to worry about him anymore. My favorite part of the tub is the whirlpool. I turn that on and forget the world. Using the walk-in tub is a lot of fun.

The bathtub that I had was getting old. It had been 50 years and it was beginning to show wear. I needed something different. Also, we've been here for the whole 50 years so we're up in age. So, we needed something else to help us. The sales representative from American Standard that came here was fantastic. The installation was very good. I'm enjoying my bathtub and shower very well. But I didn't have any written instructions that came with it. They've explained it, but sometimes you need something in writing. When I called them about it, they told me they didn't have instructions. That's something they need to work on.

I heard about walk-in tubs and then, I wanted one. So, I went online and saw American Standard. I had heard about them with the toilets and I like the stuff they had, which was why I chose them. The sales agent was knowledgeable and the installers were very nice people. The installation was very quick and it was great. There were some scratches on the wall but they said we were supposed to paint over that ourselves, so it's no big problem. Since having the walk-in tub, my skin is different and the bathing experience. We try to use it as often as possible. I got the impression though that the jets would heat the water. But it just keeps the same temperature that the water already was. Right now, we're having a problem with the water capacity. You can't use the walk-in tub and shower in the other bathroom or wash clothes. I may have to get another hot water tank and a bigger hot water heater.

When American Standard knocked on my door, the reps properly introduced themselves and told me what each one was gonna be doing. Everybody was really nice. The only problem I had was that I was scheduled for one day and they changed it. I wasn't supposed to have it until the 12th of October but they called and rescheduled it to an earlier day. I had my hopes up for the tub. Then, they called me back to reschedule again.

My wife and I are 60 plus and she had an aneurysm five years ago. We had a regular jacuzzi-type tub and it was a bit too high for her to be getting in and out. We got an American Standard and the installer did a fantastic job. It's so much easier to get in and out of it. The massage feature, the jets, and being able to use the bottom part without having to fill the whole tub up have been great. We're very pleased with it.

American Standard's rep was very informative and the installation of my tub was very professional. It took two days and the quality of work was great. I like the ease of getting in and out of my tub.

The installation went good. I like how the jets go over my legs, and massages my legs. My legs just feel better when I get in and get out of it. I had surgery on my legs so I can't walk very well.

American Standard was the best. Their representative was very nice. We didn't know anything at all about their product and he answered most of our questions. Then I couldn't believe how fast they got the installation done and how nice it looks ‘cause they had to do a lot to do that. The tub is for my husband for safety issues ‘cause he's fallen in the shower several times and that's scary. But I love the shower. I could sit down, shave my legs and take a shower. It's nice and really comfortable.

The sales rep from American Standard was really good and very thorough. He answered all my hard questions as to why I didn't want a walk-in tub. Then, when we were having problems, I called him personally. We paid American Standard off and we were getting bills from a finance company. We called him and he made some phone calls and stopped that one, finally. It took about three times to finally getting that one taken care of.

American Standard was great. I like the tub and the lifetime guarantee on everything. Their sales rep was fine, but I pretty well knew what I wanted. The installers are great. They found a problem I had with my shower, so I hired them to fix that. They're a construction company too. So, it works great. I've already told several people about American Standard.

I love our American Standard tub very much. The man was here yesterday and installed what he was supposed to do. It takes a little while for the water to fill the tub because it’s a lot of water, but it’s very nice. But that was something that he had said when he finished the job. He said, “In two weeks, I’m gonna order that part. It makes things a little bit faster and heavier.” But he forgot. So, when American Standard called me, I told them about that not being fixed yet. Then he called me right away and said, “I'll be there between 8:00, 9:00.” He did that yesterday. It was a big job, but he did a very nice job. He's really nice and a hard worker.

We have knee problems. I also had been noticing streaks of nail polish on my tub which meant that I wasn't picking my foot up far enough to get into the tub. It was leaving nail polish marks on the edge of the tub. This is not gonna get better so we’ve decided that in order to stay in our home, having a walk-in tub is the best way to go. The rep from American Standard did a wonderful job and then the installation went well. The quality is good and it works like it's supposed to and all the jets work. We like it, except for our hot water problem and we don’t know what fuse turns on what electrical. In our electrical box, we had all the fuses, as it were, labeled. Now, we don't know what thing operates what thing in the house and it's gonna be quite a chore to figure that out.

My wife can no longer use the regular bath tub, so it was necessary that we acquire a walk-in tub. We got an American Standard. The installer was a senior like me, and he was excellent. He's a trainer for the others. He guaranteed to do the installation in less than two days. He did it in a day and a half. If he'd hurried a little bit, he could have done it in a day but because he was exact and precise, it took a day and a half. It's very impressive. I only live about three blocks from what used to be, when I was growing up, the American Radiator Company. That’s part of American Standard. They're top-notch. They made an excellent product then, and I don't think they've changed. They moved, but they haven't changed.

I was looking for walk-in tubs and I looked in the internet. I got estimates from American Standard and Kohler, and I went with American Standard because of the price difference. The price that the rep quoted for the tub and everything was the same but we had to do some reconstruction and put it in. It was not enough room so we had to enlarge the bathroom door and then, they had to take out the basin that was there because it came out too much. They had to put in a smaller one that didn't come out as much. So that knocked the price up. The quoted price was about $800 and when the guys came in to put it in, it was 1,400. It may not have needed more work but it was too cramped in that bathroom if that sink and everything was left like it was.

American Standard was the largest company with walk-in tubs. They've been in business the longest. So, we knew they had to be the best. Their sales agent was a really nice guy. We enjoyed doing business with him. The installers were quick, fast and did a good job. I'm glad we got the tub. We should have got it several years ago. We both have arthritis pretty bad. You can sit there, be comfortable and not have to worry about falling out the little shower chair. It gives us peace and comfort.

Our other toilet and stuff are American Standard. We got their walk-in tub too and had a very good and thorough sales rep. I have no complaints about their installer. That person cleaned up. I mainly got the walk-in tub for my husband. It’s really expensive but at the time, I thought it would be worth it. My husband used it once and he fell in it. Now, he can't use it anymore. But I use it every once in a while and it's fine. It helps with sore muscles so I need to use it more. It's a good product.

I'm a disabled vet and my wife's got a bad knee, so it's hard for her to get in and out the tub as far as getting all the way down, which was one reason why we got the American Standard walk-in tub. Also, I saw in one magazine that it was supposed to be 5,000 off. The way that the tub was advertised, I thought it was gonna be cheaper than it was. The price could be improved but there’s a lot that goes into them. It'd be better for young people to go ahead and do it, if they thought they're gonna stay, because it's guaranteed for life. If anything goes wrong, American Standard will come and fix it. I like to sit down and take a shower on the walk-in tub. I haven't filled it up but one time. It takes about 20 something minutes to fill up, sometimes, 30 because of the old pipes. But it drains in about two and a half so it's alright. You just sit down and play while it’s filling up. It's like a hot tub in your backyard except it's in the house.

My wife has problems with her legs so we got a walk-in tub from American Standard. The installation was fine. We're enjoying our walk-in tub very much. I've used it once while my wife uses it frequently. It seems to be helping her with her legs.

The installer was very good. I had to have over $200 worth of touch up paint, but he did a great job getting the tub in. On the other hand, the representative was strictly a salesman. A lot of what he said was a bunch of hooey, but I love my tub, so I'm not worried about it. I'm glad I can take a bath and not worry about falling.

I lost a leg in an auto accident and could not get in a conventional bathtub. It was too dangerous for me. I was researching the Whirlpool tubs and looked at two different websites. I decided that I would start by having the representative come and tell us about the product. I then did a further comparison and decided that American Standard was the one for me. The sales guy was wonderful and very informative. I have a background in sales and I felt that he was an excellent presenter.

Several companies offered walk-in tubs and I was seriously considering it. I'm getting on in years and houseguests I have would be around the same age. So, it'd probably be safer than just a conventional bathtub. What American Standard offered seemed to be best so I selected them. The price is somewhat expensive, about what you might pay for a used car. The rep offered that supposedly free bonus of a right to size toilet. I had already added seat risers myself several years before, but the toilet up about three and a half inches. So, I just declined and then they lowered the price by $500. The people were knowledgeable and they did a good job with the installation. I had to do a tiny bit of cleaning up after them, but not too much. It took a little bit of getting used to when I'd step out to grab hold of the safety bars, I stepped down. I still use the shower portion.

My American Standard walk-in bathtub is working fine as designed. I come from the construction industry. I have a long history in plumbing. American Standard is the only one that gave me a guarantee and a full disclosure of what the products could do or what it can't do. The explanation was upfront and the description was satisfactory. The sales rep who came to my home was professional, knowledgeable and he was straight up with everything even before he came in. The pre-discussion was pretty cordial. The installation was done in one day, and the clean-up effort was good.

We use our American Standard tub mostly for the therapy. We do it late in the evening and it's relaxing. We're in our 80's. It's hard to get in a regular tub. And for medical reasons, we thought a bathtub would be the best way to go. American Standard was recommended to us by friends that had one that needed it for medical reasons. The installation went great. The guys worked all day on it and got it done in one day for us.

I was looking up walk-in tubs online and they gave me American Standard. They told me to put in my information which I did and a representative came out to the house. He was very nice. Their installation team was very professional. About four people had to bring the walk-in tub in. But the one guy, Harry, motioned and worked by himself and he was excellent. He had a nice attitude. I like to turn on the air-jets and shoot me. That’s pretty good. But the jet thing that would turn on and off just popped off. Other than that, I would tell my friends or family if they really needed a tub, they should get one from American Standard.

A friend of mine got an American Standard tub, but I didn't wanna get it from where they got it from. So, I looked on the internet and found them and called them up. My tub is great. I wish I had got the shower hook-up that sits on the wall, but I didn't get that. But other than that, I’m loving it. The rep I worked with was Steve. He was great. He explained everything to me and showed me how he measured the bathroom. I like everything, except for about me having an old house. They had to take down my door and all the stuff on the side, and they weren't able to get it back just right, but it's okay. They did an excellent job. They threw everything away, cleaned up, vacuumed about four times to make sure they got everything. I've already talked to them again about putting one upstairs.

I'm not too happy with the customer service of American Standard. I've got six of the movable-grade jets in the tub that don't seem to wanna work. I called them up about getting them fixed and that's been about a month ago now. I haven't heard anything back. Other than the jets not working, the tub is definitely nice. I like sitting on it. But the jets could be a lot better if they worked. The crew that came to install it was good.

The sales rep from American Standard explained the price and the features of the walk-in tub. And the installation team explained to me what they were doing and how it works. They cleaned up after themselves and were very professional. Usually, people stand up when they take a shower, but you can sit down in the tub. It cleans me up like it was supposed to do. But when the water comes out of the nozzle into the tub, they should have made the nozzle with a swivel instead of staying stationary. You should be able to swivel that at 10 degrees when the water is coming out where you can move the water to the left or to the right. Everything else is good.

I had always been interested in a walk-in massage tub and when I retired, I decided to get serious about looking into getting one. I started researching tubs and shower systems and I recognized the American Standard brand name. I found that other brands didn't have as many water and air jets. American Standard had a very good lifetime warrantee on parts AND labor. Naturally, I was a bit surprised at how massage tubs cost, but when I thought about it, a walk-in tub really is just another major appliance like a furnace or an AC unit. When I thought about the cost of having one split up over many years, I realized it was probably well worth it.

American Standard worked very nicely but it's still pretty high to step into the walk-in tub.

In the early part of '18, I had an accident and I was in the hospital for five months. When I got out, I was in need of a better way to take a bath than my standard tub. I came across ads on walk-in tubs and I started asking some questions. Slowly but surely, American Standard floated to the top and I went with them. My experience with American Standard has been excellent from the start. They did me a favor because the tub we agreed on wasn't big enough. With no extra charge, they switched to a larger tub and I was able to fit in that comfortably. Their techs did what they said they were gonna do. They had to fight to get my tub in by cutting a hole in my wall but they did and I've enjoyed it ever since. My wall looks great since I've had it repainted and it looks like there was never a hole there.

Everybody I dealt with at American Standard knew what they were doing. The installer I had for my tub was really good. He worked on the job all day and got it done. However, our water heater is too small and we are changing that out. Other than that issue, everything else went really smoothly. I'm satisfied with the product I got.

Cindy, the sales rep from American Standard, was dynamic. The work was awesome but when the installer put the stuff that goes around the wall, he could have gone all the way to the top and all the way around. It could be a little bit better. Other than that, I'm happy with my tub. I'm trying to get my bathroom fixed up some more, and my carpenter used the drill or was hammering and all of a sudden, my jets came on. It should not do that. There has been a little change in my daily lifestyle since having the walk-in tub although I don’t use it that much.

I liked American Standard’s reputation. The sales rep was excellent as well as the installation crew. I had a few issues when they first started because I'm a big guy. I'm 6'6 and they delivered a regular sized tub. When I got in there, I couldn't move my feet forward so they had to postpone the installation and order me the larger tub. The larger tub came about two and a half weeks later. They should have known that I wouldn't fit in the regular size tub because I'm a tall guy, especially American Standard. The center officer in Texas kept calling up.

The sales rep that came out was good. I walked through the tub and the installers did too. I like the tub. But after a couple of weeks, it stopped working. So the man came by and reset it and checked it out for us.

Tub started have control problem within three week of installation. Called a number of time. American Standard person said try This try that. After a number of calls, I called American standard again. This time person said will send out repair parts and when they arrived call them. One week later parts arrived. I called American standard. They said repair man will call and set a date to repair. He didn’t call. O it’s warranty but you may wait a lifetime for repair.
