The salesman from American Standard was nice, except he didn't explain everything really well to me. And the people who installed the walk-in tub were absolutely horrible. I'm an invalid and I had to have someone come and clean my house after they left it. There were also some things I would have changed on the product. We're not fat people and the sales rep thought we could do with a smaller tub. But that makes it really cramped in there and you have to sort of get in sideways a little bit. Then, when I told their guy that I didn't even know how to use the thing, he said he told my son how to do it. But he didn't tell me and I was the one that needed to know. My son had to tell me. And if we didn't know something, we had to look it up in the book.
Aside from that, I always worry about the door opening if I should hit it with my knee and I feel like the door should have been put on the other side so that you couldn't hit it with your knee, which seems to be an easy thing to do. Also, I feel like we were overcharged by at least 4 grand. The rep wrote on the paperwork that I had seven days to change my mind but he didn't tell me what I was signing. I just looked right over it and didn't even realize I had seven days. I might have changed my mind because we had another quote.
Our first quote was 13,000 and that was horrible, so we had to get some more quotes. Then this one was 19,000 something. But he made me want it so bad, telling me that American Standard has been around for hundreds of years, and 10 years from now, it’ll look just like it does now. And I could have very well done with a less of a tub. We’re not rich people. Then the tub leaked while they were here and it ruined my kitchen ceiling. It was the installers’ fault and I had to pay them to fix my kitchen ceiling. I even had to pay a guy they sent out another $300 to paint it. I really got robbed.

The installation guys were very professional and they did a very neat job. I got a call yesterday telling me that the product is working properly and that I shouldn't fill the tub too high so that the water won't splash out on the floor. I wasn't too happy with that answer, but I just won't use the jets. When I would press the button for air so I could get the aromatherapy going, it's like a torrential storm going on in the tub. The water just bubbles so hard. It's so rough. Then, if I turn it off and press it again, it's even higher. I was told that that's just the way it is. That's the only thing I'm not too happy with. But other than that, I love the tub.
Initially, I was told that I needed to have a different system put in and that was over a month ago and I didn't hear anything. So, I sent a text message to the representative and he called me back yesterday and told me that he didn't realize that no one had gotten in touch with me. He came to see me in May, we went on vacation for the first two weeks in June and I never heard anything from anybody. If anyone did call, I wasn't alerted. I was looking to get a call from someone where it would show on my phone they were from American Standard.

The American Standard (AS) Liberation Walk-in-Tub seems to be a quality product. Their installation and warranty services are quite a different matter. I paid a premium price to have AS move a closet wall around four inches to make room for the tub. They assured me that the price included all the needed work, and that the bathroom would be “paint ready” after the installation. Instead, I noted several major problems after the installation: gaps were left in the wallboard exposing the wooden studs beneath, an outside wall corner was left unfinished, there was no trim installed around the edges of the tub enclosure, and there were several code violations with the construction. These are only some of the defects.
After over six months, none of my concerns have been addressed. Go ahead, if you choose, and purchase an American Standard Liberation tub, but DO NOT have them perform the installation, and don't expect too much from their warranty service!

I looked for walk-in tubs and American Standard looked to be the best for the money. Their sales rep explained everything and he left his phone number if we had any problems. He was a very personable guy and he did a good job. After the salesman came through, we set an appointment and the crew came. They were a three men crew and they did a really good job. The salesman came back just to monitor.
We had two minor issues. There was a leak under the door and that got resolved. The crew came out and checked the seal and fixed that. There was also a draining problem that we have that’s recurring. But I know how to fix it now. I called and spoke to some woman from maintenance. She explained about the screw that gets loose and how to turn it if it doesn't drain. I did that this morning. If there's anything that needs to be addressed in American Standard's engineering or design, that would be it. That drain is the one downside.
The aside, our tub has chromotherapy, jets all around, and the air. It has all the bells and whistles you could want. My mother has Alzheimer's and they're getting her in there and she really enjoys it. We also like the idea that when we have guests that come to the house, she wants to take everybody to the bathroom to show them the tub.

A huge selling point on the walk-in tub is the lifetime warranty. After just one year of using the tub, we have a pretty substantial leak. I have begged for weeks to just simply get a returned phone call from the installer. American Standard customer service is very defensive & the installer has not called. The tub cost 20k with a lifetime warranty. So far American Standard has not hold up the warranty.

Everybody was great, and from beginning to end, the whole thing went very smoothly. I was very pleased with the time it took to get rid of the old tub and install the new one. It was just a day and the installation crew was excellent.

We got the walk-in tub so that I would have less chance of falling. The quality of the tub is good. It's doing what I wanted it to do. The thing I like most is the safety.

We were really happy with the installation of our American Standard. The installers came in and they tore up our garden tub, which was a fairly good size. My wife was saying that the one they put in will never match or fit. There would be gaps. But it came out to be quite nice. The finish on it blended right in. There are no gaps. They have spacers that they used. They also cleaned up when they were done. There was a toilet and all the pieces of the original tub that they hauled off. We had tile in that bathroom and they matched that tub, height, to the tile. It fits in very nicely. They did an excellent job. We enjoy it. It exceeded our expectations.

The American Standard representative was very knowledgeable, helpful and outstanding. The installers were timely and they did it very quickly. They did a really good job. They also left me a whole folder, which told me how to care for the tub, and things that I needed to do. I really enjoy the features. I like that it has a pullout shower. I can usually wash my hair by the time the tub is drained. Having the automatic pump-it-out is quick, too.

The guys that installed the product came in and told me what they were gonna do and approximately how long it would take, and they did it. As far as the tub, the size of it fits perfectly in my shower. I really like being able to sit down and take a shower. Then, I like soaking in the tub. Every now and then, I take a soak in the tub and just spend some time in it. The only thing is when they filled everything in, they should have put a little pitch on it where the water would drain down in the tub when I take a shower. But all I do is after taking a shower, I just have to wait around that part of the tub and make sure that water won't be sitting there.

I have a hard time getting in the shower. I filled out a form on the internet and American Standard contacted me. Their rep was very informative and friendly. The guy and his two workers who did the installation were great too. They protected the floors and they built a great cabinet. Everything was good. The tub is so relaxing and it's easy to clean.

American Standard has been around forever. We had already gotten some ideas for what we wanted. So, when their sales rep came out, we kind of already knew about what we were going to need and what we were going to spend, and it was an easy process. The sales rep was great. I would highly recommend them to anybody.
The tub is very safe. My significant other had a stroke and our concern was for him to be able to get in and out of a tub and be able to sit in water and not feel like he was gonna fall off or be off-balanced. So, for me, it's wonderful. I've used the Jacuzzi part of it quite a bit. For him, it’s an excellent safety tub, and he thoroughly enjoys it because he can sit in water and sit there all day. He had not had a bath since October because he was too afraid to get in and out of the shower. So, when we got the tub installed, he didn’t have so much anxiety over getting in the tub because he said he couldn’t fall out of it because there’s not enough opening to fall out of it. He liked that because it gave him security and he felt very secure when he sat down. So, for us, it took a stinky situation and turned it into a, “I might not be able to get him out of it some days.” He loves it.

Everything is nice with the American Standard. My mother and I love it. The only thing that I suggest is that they explain to people that they might need to up the size of their hot water heater. I had a 50-gallon and due to the size of the tub, the water would be cold before you fill the tub. I ended up buying a 75-gallon. Also, the water runs out faster than I figured it would, faster than a regular tub, especially with that power pump. The jets are great, though. You don't have to put much liquid soap in there to make a bubble bath.
Both of the installers were really nice and personable. One guy had to cut a doorframe out, he did it so nicely that you can't even tell, that he had to remove one side of my doorframe, and put it back up. And that was on two doors, a door in my dining room as well as the bathroom. However, the financing is too high. But I'm in a position, I just went out and wrote a check, pay the thing off and I'm satisfied.

When I was young, I worked with my dad doing a lot of plumbing work and I knew that American Standard had been a name that we had dealt in since I was a child. It was a well-known, well-established name. I did a web search for walk-in bathtubs and I found American Standard Walk-in Tubs. I found the website, and I filled out the information. I immediately got a call and set up an appointment for somebody to come by and take measurements and give us an estimate.
The person who came out was knowledgeable about what he was doing. He measured everything and he told us that the doors would need to be modified in order to get the tub in. He told us what it would take to do that and how long it would take to get it done, and it was right on the money. Everything worked out just like he said it would. The guys that did the installation were very good. They were very competent and professional, and all went very well.
My wife uses the tub and she loves it. Anytime her legs start to cramp or she starts to have problems, she can get in the tub, and it works very well. The only thing is it’s a very expensive tub. $18,000 is a lot of money. Other than that, we were pleased with the company. I didn’t want my wife to get something substandard. I wanted to get what she needed and what she wanted, and not settle for something else because it might have been less expensive.

This install was for my 92 year old parents which they needed for medical reasons. Company just doesn't care.

The reps of American Standard were really professional. I signed up immediately the day that the rep came and he said because I signed up, he was giving me a bidet for free. He did and I like that. But there's one thing that's been wrong with the whole deal. I don't know who they financed me through because they've never sent me a bill. I've called them and I got a rude girl. But I reported her. She said, “I wouldn’t know.” I said, “I can't remember.” I've not been able to find out who it is.
But the installer did a very good job and was professional. He did not bother us. He went about his business. He did most of the work the first day. He came back the second day and finished it up. It was great. I’d already recommended to two people. But all of them said it was too high, they couldn't afford it. But I love it. However, the installer did not explain the tub to me at all. I had to learn it on my own. The first time I got in there, I pushed the buttons like I kept reading the little pamphlet. The water wasn't high enough. I had the water below that top thing and it went everywhere.

The sales rep they sent out told me everything about it and didn't leave anything out that I could tell. Then, on the installation day, the gentleman came out here and got right to work. He cleaned up and did a good job. My wife has one complaint, though. There is a mirror on our wall and they made the tub fit to the outside of the mirror. But other than that, I enjoy the tub. It has helped with my legs and the air jets are like a massage.

The installation was fantastic. They did it in one day and they did a great job. Also, they cleaned up after themselves. We enjoy the tub. We wanted a walk-in tub where the water would not cool off once we turned on the jets and that's holding true. Especially we're very happy with a door that opens to the outside instead of some of the old ones where they open to the inside. We think this is a much better way to do it.

For the aromatherapy, they told me to put one of those packages all in one time, not loosen it up, not torn in pieces. Because if you want to change the different therapies that they have, it’s five packages and you won’t be able to get it out. You do one package at a time, and if you don’t like it, you take the other one. When I put it in the bathtub, I open it up supposedly, and that was it. Then, you’re supposed to smell it. But I don’t smell anything. I wanted to call to find out if I was doing something wrong, but the rep hung up.
But the people who came to install the American Standard were perfect. I never knew they could do things like that before. They opened up the door, one of the frames had to come off to get it in, and they did everything right. They left it just like they never did anything over there. Then, when I already had bought it, the guy came here for the tub and he said, “They give a new toilet.” I said, "I’ll keep my old toilet for my little grandson because it’s blue. He wanted a blue one. Put the white one there because I always wanted a white toilet, so you could see what you’re gonna do.” Especially with diabetes, with the sugar, I wanted to see the urine.

We're excited about our American Standard tub. But I had some minor problems. When the installation was done, they did not have the material to finish the job completely. The guy that put it in did a good job. We had a window kit that they didn't have at the time of installation. He fixed it so it wouldn't leak. He said that he ordered the window kit immediately there on site. He said it should be in before too long. He would be back here to install it. Wherever it went from that point on, it became a problem. American Standard themselves failed the order that he submitted. They kept telling me that the order had been shipped, but it never got here. I had to call them five times and I had to go back to the representative that sold us the product to get that window kit delivered.
Whoever was doing the ordering of their stuff was not performing what they should have done. It took me almost two months to get the product shipped. I had to stay on top of it at that. But that was my only problem. We're very happy with the product and we were very happy with the representative that sold it to us and the installation of it. I would recommend the product to somebody else. But I would tell them to not pay for it until they get the job absolutely completed.

I was getting very frustrated with the amount of time it was taking from the time I ordered and paid a deposit to the time that they were available to do the installation. It was at least three months. But with the pandemic and the shortage of qualified people to do the installation, I just had to get in line with everybody else. I understood what was causing the delay. Once they came, they got right down to business and they were very helpful, courteous, and technically proficient.

My water tank will not fill my tub up with hot water. It just fills it up to my knee. I want it full so I can use my jets. My hot water tank isn't big enough yet so I'm gonna have to get something bigger. Also, the thing that irritates me is when I get up, I put my left arm up, and it hits those three buttons there. I wish those buttons were somewhere else. The guy also told me that the seat was heated. But it's not. When I get in and sit down, that cold seat makes my teeth rattle. Other than that, I like my American Standard tub. The installers were also really good and nice. I would recommend them all for a raise.

The installation was fine, except the installers damaged my basement floor. Whatever they filled on it ate right through a couple of tiles and they didn't tell me. American Standard and I already talked about it, and I've got the replacement tiles. Still, I like the tub. I can fill it to my knees, but I haven't had the whole experience. I'm waiting for a contractor to come and tile around it. I didn't get that surround thing that they offered. They gave me a bar that I can hook up my shower head on to make it a shower, but I haven't hooked that up yet. The sales rep also told me that my 40-gallon water heater would be enough to fill the tub, but it doesn't. So now I have to go out and buy a larger hot water heater. Overall, I wish American Standard would have been a little forthcoming about things. Another thing is, they could have had a larger door, but that wasn't offered and it's a squeeze to get into it.

The sales rep of American Standard was very friendly and nice. The installation went very well. I like the tub, but I'm still figuring it out. I didn't realize that in order to have the shower that it had to be part of the installation. The other thing is, I didn't really understand how deep you can fill the tub. Otherwise, it's been good.

The sales rep was very good as well as professional, and we were happy with the installers that came out. We’re also happy with the quality of the tub. We have a shower seat, grab bars, and corner shelves. However, if water hits that moving door, it just goes underneath the door and right out onto the floor. We called American Standard and they came out, but it didn't fix the problem. We still have a leaking problem under the door that slides, and we found that the floor of the shower is extremely slippery. Another thing that is a bit of a problem is the handheld shower handle is very slippery as well.

We're getting older and our bones are starting to creak, so we decided we wanted something to loosen us up. We found American Standard online. We also went to Kohler, and it looked like a much better deal than Kohler, so we opted for the American Standard tub. The sales rep did a great job, and the guy that installed the tub was the most meticulous guy I've ever seen. I told somebody who called, “I don't know what he was making, but he should get a raise.” He did an excellent job with installation, and it’s a great walk-in tub.

The installation wasn't a problem but we had a shutoff valve failure. They said the issue was our original valves. I thought that if we were buying a $20,000 tub, they would change our valve but they won't. Now, we have a problem with the jets that are not working. We don't use the walk-in very often because we're afraid the floor is gonna fall out from under us. Supposedly, American Standard has a warranty for the life of it but I'm really disappointed because they do everything they can to get out of stuff. Also, the guy who sold it to us, told us that our hot water heater would handle it. But it didn't so we had to buy another one at our own expense. We're disgusted with the whole thing overall. We paid $20,000 for this setup and everything has gone wrong. I would never recommend them to anybody because they suck.

I absolutely love the walk-in tub. The only thing that I have a problem with is the drain because it keeps unscrewing and falling off, and I don't know what to do about that drain plug. I'm gonna call American Standard about it. They were great with me, and I know that they'll be good about it. I thought I did something wrong. As soon as the jets go, the drain falls off. Other than that, they did a fantastic job and I'm very happy with it. I've been recommending it. Also, I was told that if I could get someone else to buy American Standard that it would take $1,000 off my bill.

The sales rep was very good as well as informative, and working with American Standard was a pleasant experience. As a matter of fact, the guys were so thorough putting down tarps and cleaning that when they left the house, my house was cleaner than before they came. I would tell people to get one. It would be for my benefit also, because I’ll get $1000 referral fee.

The guys who did the work were knowledgeable and they did a good job. The only complaint I have is this complaint that I didn't know about. I had to turn my hot water heater all the way to the top in order to get the tubs out, a 50-gallon water heater. The person that was selling the tub told me that I might need one, so it's not like I didn't know. But other than that, everything went fine. The product seems good, so I'm happy.
The positive thing about the 20-year-old hot tub we had is that I didn't have to fill it up every time so I'm not using a whole bunch of water. But if I use a walk-in tub, each time I use it, I'm using 55 gallons. But when you get older, you're not gonna be able to crawl into that hot tub and it will help for muscle aches and pains, so it's a good trade-off.

The sales rep was very pushy, and I did not like that. I don't like being pressured. This is a big investment for my husband and I would have preferred to have waited one day so that we would have had a chance to discuss it. But the installers were very good. They came two days. They were late both times on what they had said they would be here but they were very nice and respectful. I'm enjoying my American Standard tub very much. I like the jets also. There's a little difference in my feet and legs and the circulation. They're not swelling like they were.

I love the shower. It's beautiful. But the doors don't touch the wall on each side and I don't think they're hung right. The techs tried to adjust them and one of the doors started squeaking really badly when I pull it shut or push it open. They couldn't figure that out so the rep was gonna check if somebody could come. They need to fix that.

The installers were very efficient. They cleaned up as well as I expect a man to clean up. We're happy with the tub that we have. However, I don't have enough hot water to fill it up so that I can get up. I have to fill it, wait for a little while for the water to warm up again then refill it. We thought a 50-gallon water tank would be big enough, but evidently, it's not. But I've been managing, and I enjoy it.

When the American Standard rep run the bill up, she forgot to charge us for sales tax. She called back and told us, and we said, “That’s no problem. Add it on. We’ll take care of it.” The guy that installed it was super. He knew exactly what he was doing. The only thing that concerned me was they advertised they can do this in one day but they didn't. They did it in two days. But we're very satisfied. My wife uses it and she likes it. It's the greatest thing for her.

The salesperson with American Standard was extremely nice, helpful, and knowledgeable so we canceled the other appointment and went with them. He had an answer to all our questions and we were very pleased with him. The installers showed up on time and told us who they were. There weren't any hiccups and everything was done professionally in one day. The tub looks perfect. The doors were heavy enough for sliding doors. The bar and the seat were installed where we wanted them. The drain area where you can't see the drain but it sort of drains out is nice.

I like the completeness of the salesperson of American Standard, friendliness, and no opposition to all of my questions. I also appreciated the construction worker, Rick, who really made me feel part of the decision-making as far as height and placement of things. He was thorough and I enjoyed having him here. My husband really appreciates the comfort of the seat and the ability to get into an area where he can get bathed. He's very pleased with it.

The sales rep was a good guy. He made one mistake in measuring my bedroom door and bathroom door but that was the only problem. I'm having my house repainted anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. The installer did a superb job. He widened the door by 4 inches then re-drywalled it. Somebody that wasn't planning on repainting their site might have been a little bit upset about that.
I'm enjoying my American Standard tub very well. It's been wonderful. I got it for my wife, and she uses it every day. My only problem is I took a bath the other day and didn't close the drain and couldn't figure out why the water was only up to my ankles after about 10 or 15 minutes. The first time I used it, I didn't lock the door. I bumped the door and it flew open. Fortunately, I only had water up to my ankles, but water went from the bathroom into the bedroom. Now, when I get in, before I do anything, I lock the door. I love the bidet that I got, too. They threw this in as an incentive to buy the tub. They took out the old commode and put in a bidet. I had never had one before and it's great. You just have to wait for the water to warm up because if you don't, it’s bracing at 6 o'clock in the morning.

The American Standard gentleman came in and presented all the information and availability of different things, and walked me through how the whole walk-in tub would work. He showed me how much it would be and set it up to be installed. The gentlemen that came to install it were very nice and professional. They looked at several different things. There were some adjustments that had to be made, but they made them very easily. First off, they had me try it before they even brought it into the house to make sure it was a comfort to me. Then, they went to do the installation. We had one little thing that they had to do, that they had to get a part for. They came back after that and installed it.

The first reason I went with American Standard was that they included the doors with the whole package of what they've presented and what they were going to do for me. They weren’t separate. Secondly, American Standard has two factories in Texas. They make their own products and they can get the job done sooner than other companies can, which was five weeks on my part. They were going to have it done in four weeks, but it turned out to be five. I don’t know why. Still, five weeks is good. Thirdly, they gave me a $500 discount to pay cash and that did it for me. I was very pleased with the guy, even without the number of how much it was going to cost me. He has been around a long time, a couple of years with the company and I was impressed with his knowledge.

The tub is wonderful. I love it. The price is up there, but when people come in and look at it, they say, “Wow, you got a Cadillac.” That's the way I feel and that's why I went with the tub that I did. I'm 86 and the fact that I can just step, sit down and turn everything on is good. I am getting ready for hip surgery, so I liked it for the jets on my legs and my feet. It's a wonderful concept. It also has the shower on it if anyone wants to shower. However, I'm in a gated community and I'm having problems because they put the wiring for the tub up on the roof. The HOA here does not allow that and I'm gonna have to rewire.

I like my experience with American Standard. I have problems standing for very long. Before, it was hard to get into the shower. Now, I can just use this whenever I wanted and feel safe and secure. I also use the spa to relax all of these muscles that I’m having problems with. It helps with all that pain. The quality is very good. I like the features. The only thing is it’s hard to get your body down in there, get your shoulders with the spa part of it. I wish it sits either higher or deeper, and that foot part would be a little bit longer.

American Standard's sales rep was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, warm, and friendly, and worked with us. He really couldn't have been better. I give him a solid 10 all the way. The installers did a great job. As far as the product, I love the options, the different levels of the pulsing and the larger jets. The colors are nice. Being able to add the scents adds that extra dimension. I also like the way it cleans out and blows out all the hoses and all the vents so that there's no standing water anywhere. Also, I like the really fast drain. You're not sitting in that tub a long time. You're really out fast. The product is worth it.

The quality of the tub is fine. I like that I can step in and sit down in it. But I wish I had a book that tells me more about it. They didn't leave me one. Other than that, this is better than step-in tub.

The rep was very polite and kind. The person who put the tub in was very professional and thorough and cleaned up everything. We were very satisfied with the installation. The tub is very relaxing. I liked that American Standard's door opened outward, and they had a bigger spot, like an entranceway to get into it. If I end up in a wheelchair, that will make transferring into it easier. The rep that came out was great. He gave us a quote and I really liked that all the costs were included, so there weren't any surprises that came up later. He explained how the process would work and he had samples of faucets so you could kind of see the quality you were getting.
The installers were great, too. They explained things really well. When they came in and did it, it was a bit of a tight fit to get it into the door, but they made it work. They protected the floors, carrying the heavy stuff through, and weren't tracking mud in. They were friendly and then they explained how to use it well. I like the product a lot. I think it will meet my needs and will continue to in the future. So, it was exactly what I was looking for. The only thing is they could make the spot where your feet go a little bit bigger. Also, it would be awesome if they could incorporate some kind of a pedal thing or like a bicycle thing and use it like water therapy as well.

I had a good experience with the rep. The techs did quality work. The only thing is they did not caulk around the outside of the bathtub. I’m gonna have to do that. Other than that, the tub is great. My mom loves it.

The tub is great. But the guys who installed the tub were hesitant to even take a bottle of water. They eventually took a Coke but if that's the policy, it should be relaxed. Other than that, the rep was wonderful. While the American Standard was expensive, it's well worth it. The warranty amounts to 15 years that they can come out and fix anything.

The tub is more convenient than a regular tub for my wife and the warranty covered the necessary things that we needed. They did a good job on the installation and everything was working. The only trouble I had was the hot water heater that we had was insufficient for it to fill it and have enough leftover for a rinse. I had to get a new hot water heater.

Our sales experience with American Standard was good. The installation went well, but we had a problem. When I went to use the new shower, I couldn’t get hot water. That happened on a Saturday, so I had to wait till Monday. When I called them Monday, they said, “We’ll get to you. We are awfully busy.” Three weeks passed. I had to fix it myself. I like the tub. It’s soothing and relaxing. But it’s disappointing if that's the way they're going to handle service. It would be hard to recommend them for the service.

I've used American Standard products before and have been happy with them. When I was looking for a walk-in shower, I saw the ad and called. The rep that came out was very helpful and knowledgeable. The installers showed up on time and ready to work. They explained what they were doing, what was going on, and what the process was. They showed me the parts of the tub because I hadn't seen a tub like that. They answered any questions I had. The quality of the work was top notch. We have a lot of contractors in my little town and even though they’re quality, it wouldn't have worked out that way if we had gotten somebody from there.
I am extremely satisfied with everything. From the moment of the phone call, they kept me updated. The date of install changed, but they were right on top of it. I had let them know that the sooner that they could get me in, the better. They were booked out and when there was an opening, they called. Everybody, from the people I talked to on the phone to the people who were here in person, has been extremely nice and professional. They answered all of my questions. I felt like I went into this very much with my eyes wide open. There was no pressure in the sale. You don't have customer service like this anymore, which is a sad thing, but when you're my age and see this kind of quality customer service and quality product, it's fantastic. American Standard is the product that I would use if that they continue to make sure that everything is okay and I'm satisfied. They're going to do that with the sink. They're also going to do that if I install another toilet.
I like the ability for my mom to be able to take a bath and not have to worry about not getting out of the tub. It’s a life changer for her and I've been telling people about it.

I totally am in love with my American Standard. This thing is so wonderful. The salesman was so knowledgeable. He had another appointment, so he couldn't keep me going too long. But he was very patient and explained every question I could think of. The installers also knew what they were doing and they got it done. It took them a couple of days. But I had a cast iron tub in there. They cleaned up all their mess. If anybody's thinking about getting one, get American Standard. You will not be sorry.

It went very smoothly with the reps. After I spoke with the rep by phone, they set up a time for a rep to come out and talk with us about the tub, which was very timely. The young lady that came out and spoke with us was very knowledgeable. She did a tremendous job giving us the information on all the different attributes of the tub and what it does and all aspects from the very beginning to the very end. The tub is wonderful. My husband has Parkinson's, so he has a lot of stiffness. I have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia, so I also have a lot of stiffness and aches and pains too. The tub helps. It's just a good product and we enjoy it.

I like that American Standard is made here in Texas and supported here in Texas. Jeffrey, the sales rep was very good. He was very thorough, knew his product well and explained everything about the product. I did all the site prep beforehand, made sure to place any subflooring that was needed, stubbed in the plumbing and had that ready to hook up for them. They came in. They had to cut a larger hole in my floor. They gave me a few minutes to go ahead and seal that up to rodent-proof it before they made their final installation. Other than that, it was good. I was happy with the completed product.

I had a very good experience with the rep and the installers. The woman who facilitated the whole thing was excellent. The tub is okay but it's small and it takes getting used to with the shower. The shower is attached but it’s only able to go in one direction, not around, which makes it more difficult to get it exactly the way that we would like it. Other than that, soaking is very good and the tub drains very quickly which is a very good thing.

Everything was positive with American Standard. The installation was perfect. But I have used the tub once to its maximum filling and I ran out of hot water. I'm at the position where I have to probably get a new water heater because it doesn't fill it adequately. I also don't care for the way the shower is set up. I would like something a little more stable in a showerhead. Another thing is the floor of the bathtub is slick. It doesn't have a grip on it and I found myself slipping a few times. I need to install some strips. That's also the case with the shower wand. It was hard to hold in my hand so I put a strip on there to hold on to it better.

I also like the price and they have a good warranty. But the bumper on the door doesn’t connect like it should and the air jet does not come out warm and cold. There were more features I appreciated on the American Standard tub over the others. I liked the sales rep. He was friendly. He was able to adjust his sales pitch to the fact that my wife and I are in our 40s, and he's used to sell into the geriatric crowd. The experience with the installation team was almost unnoticeably smooth. However, we haven’t been able to fully utilize the tub. One component broke shortly after it was installed. We’ve been meaning to fix it. I tried reaching out but they don't know who I am anymore.

The American Standard agent was very good. He gave us all the details on how to operate it and how it's going to be working. The installers came at 9 o'clock and they took the old tub out. They started working one thing after another and they were through about 1 o'clock. The quality of work was excellent. The jets are super. I could take a shower or bath in it. It's got a lot of advantages for me. It changes the color of the water and then gives us a fragrance.

I'm very pleased with the tub, and the installation went well. The guy had two young men with him, and they helped him out. They cleaned up after themselves and were a pleasure to have a round. The quality of the tub is outstanding. One of the things that sold me on the tub was it kept the water warm. If I should ever be in a need for any kind of product like this in the future, I would definitely give them a call.

They came out with a bigger tub than I ordered. They said I could keep it if I wanted but they had to move my wall a little bit. However, I didn't realize that the water heater wasn't gonna hold the bigger tub. Also, the water doesn't come up to the jets before the cold water comes back on. But I'm glad I got the tub. I'm physically not able to stand for any amount of time for a shower.

We purchased a Liberator/American Standard walk-in tub Feb. 3, 2022 for our condo in Center City Philadelphia that was undergoing a complete gut renovation. It was delivered to the job site around 3 weeks later. We were not thrilled with the faucets and wanted something more modern to match the new renovation of our bathroom. Many, many calls later all the way up the chain of command we learned that our brand new tub which had 5 holes in the deck (Spout, Hand-held Shower Wand, Hot, Cold, Diverter) was no longer being made because there were issues with the diverter. No one told us that we were purchasing a tub that was being discontinued!
We paid full price for an item that was being modified because the diverter on the unit was failing. We only learned this because we were researching possible new handles, etc. for our new tub. The rep who sold the tub to us never mentioned this issue before purchase or even after we started calling with regard to changing out the handles (which he told us was possible at the time of sale). And even calls a month later still trying to get information on possible style numbers we could choose from to retrofit the original ones--our sales person never told us any of this information.
All during this time we requested to speak with his area manager. In almost 6 weeks of calls and texts to the sales rep, his boss has never once contacted us. Calls to the Liberator Division over 3 weeks ago gave us no information and finally after many, many calls and being sent from one area to another between yesterday and today I finally was able to speak with Alice in Texas at the Liberator division. She was the first and only person to give me actual faucet information and was also able to confirm that this faucet assembly was being replaced by a 4-hole configuration that had an automatic diverter. She also did confirm that there were issues with the diverter and that was the reason it was being discontinued.
Our tub was installed by a licensed plumber but has never been used because our condo unit is undergoing a gut renovation and the bathroom is still unfinished. We cannot proceed knowing that we have purchased an item that has the possibility of failure in the near future as we await someone from the home office to contact us. And if we do switch out the faucets, etc. we will be left with a brand new tub that has 5 holes in the top instead of the new configuration that only needs 4 holes.
It is quite distressing to have spent $8000 for a walk-in tub and not be told up front that it was being discontinued. It is even more disturbing that management in our area has little interest in hearing from his customers or that we can spend an additional $1000 for faucets to avoid possible future failure of the diverter and then to add insult to injury we will have a brand new tub that has an extra hole in the top--all because Liberator was not straight with us. I ask you: Is this any way to run a business?

I am writing this email for two reasons. Number one I am absolutely furious at the service that I've received. I have now spent 3 1/2 hours on the phone leaving messages, being transferred, leaving more messages, being transferred back. I was actually on the phone with one lady who yelled at me because I didn't have the model or serial number and then when I asked her name she hung up on me.
I then finally got to a lady named Doris, I do not know her last name. She was absolutely wonderful. I want to make sure she is recognized. However in the middle of all of this I had to get up and out of bed (I am bed ridden), get myself into the wheelchair to go and find the serial number or model number which is nowhere on the tub and nowhere on the paperwork. I then had to take pictures of the tub and the parts and send them to her. This is ridiculous. For $20000 I expected better! She was unable to assist but at least she was comforting and understanding.
I also want to thank a lady named Nikki last name also unknown, who did exceptionally well dealing with me and my frustration. Although she too was unable to handle the situation her attitude and demeanor was wonderful. At some point I was connected to a guy named Steve who said he "doesn't do walk-ins" and simply transferred me back to one of the many numbers I had already called. I even called the called representative who sold me the tub and it is no surprise that I have not heard back from her.
As I write this I am getting ready to contact the Better Business Bureau. I am fully disgusted with the way this entire situation has been handled except for Doris and Nikki, Lese and Sue. Oddly enough Lese was able to pull up the model number in an instant and told me that the service department would call me IN A FEW DAYS. As I stated, I expected far more for $20K. I previously gave a 5 star rating on a review but that was before the door started to leak after less than 2 months. Have not been able to use the tub for almost 3 weeks. Have made 3 phone calls but still no one has contacted me about coming to fix it. This was a huge purchase for us and now it is just sitting there unable to be used. Not acceptable in my book. The rep from American Standard was reasonable, explained everything in detail and told me how much it would cost. And I agreed. On the installation day, the guys came in and checked the area and made sure it was wide enough and tall enough to bring the tub in. Then, they measured the tub I already had, and cut it up and took that out piece by piece. I was amazed because it didn't take them no time to cut it up. They ran the electricity and the pipes that day and the next day, they came and installed the walk-in bath. The work that they did was the best quality. They explained in detail what they had to do and I was amazed they did it in two days. I expected them to be there all week. The only thing is, when the guys came to put the tub in, they gave me a toilet. It is an extra when you buy the tub but I didn’t need a toilet and they said it wasn’t necessary. If I didn’t want it, they were gonna take it off but they never did.
People should try American Standard because most people are looking for a bargain. But in my age, I am not just looking for a bargain, I’m looking for a guarantee too and nothing to break down on me, which was why I went with American Standard. Everybody I asked said that they could put the walk-in bath but it was gonna take a while. I don’t like people that hee-haw. I’m paying my money. It’s the whole commitment and the guarantee that you could come back and fix it.

The installation went real smoothly. The installers were quite good. I was in the other room and they didn't bother me. I love my tub. I'm handicapped and it's the only way I could get into a tub. For somebody that needs a walk-in tub, it's excellent.

They always answered all of our questions and the installation went fine. The techs did a good job and it was done quickly. A couple of the jets weren't working at first but they came back and took care of that. Other than that, it's easy to get in and out of and the jets are very therapeutic. We like that part of it. However, the new tub is not really working out as well as we thought. I'm waiting for them to come for a repair because the door is leaking already. It was working up until a week or so ago. So then the installer stayed away from us and we have to wait till they can get here to repair it, which is not a good thing.

When the salesman came down, went through his sales presentation and showed me how everything was made and the quality of the product, I was sold to go with American Standard. He went downstairs and checked our electric to make sure that we had the proper connections. He also checked our hot water heater. He said sometimes, if you don't have the right water heater, you're not going to get the heat from the jets. He showed me how they probably were going to do it and how they were going to put the decking. When he did it, it gave us some places around both sides of the tub to put some washcloths and also towels down when we use it.
The man who did the installation did an excellent job. He installed it in two days and was here from morning to night to do it. On the second day, he told me there were a couple moldings that he would have to come back for and replace because they weren't the way he wanted them. He came back here about a week and a half ago and did what he said he was going to do. He did a nice job on installing the moldings, which looks much better since they’re on there.
We’re happy with the tub and there are a lot of qualities that I like about it. I like the jets. There’s a bunch of them in there that when I was researching, they didn't have near as many as American Standard’s got. Another thing I like about it is when you're done with it, it automatically cleans the jets out so no mold comes back into it when you get back into it next time.

The American Standard sales rep knew exactly what he was talking about. When I asked him a question, he had no hesitation and had an answer. He detailed his answer with facts. Their installation crew was second to none. They saved me over $400 by being able to put my doorway back the way it came apart instead of having to put a new door in there. They did a fantastic job. When they broke a towel rack, the crew came around and replaced it, and would never even know it was missing. The towel bar also didn't come as it should have and they intervened in that and got it right away within 48 hours.

I felt a little pressure to go ahead and make a decision faster than I wanted to. But I went ahead and made the decision anyway because I like the product. The salesperson was fine. But I was especially impressed with the installers who came. It took a while, as most things do these days to get the installation done. But it was within the timeframe that I understood going into it. I liked the water jets and the air jets and the fact that I can use a set for my legs or the whole tub with the water jets, and the placement of the jets. Also, I liked the fast drainage a lot. There's no way to get around the length of time it takes to fill the tub. That depends on the water pressure. And even with a strong water pressure, it would take a while because the tub takes a lot of water. And I can only fill it up once I'm in it.

The sales rep was very nice and pleasant. He was able to answer any of the questions I had, which was the most important thing. During installation, the guys showed up on time, which was good. They put a paint cloth down every place from the front door off the stairs into the bathroom, and they were neat and clean. When they were done, it looked as good, if not better than it did before they got here. I like the glass doors. They're very nice and roomy, and the product works well. I also like the glass bars on the walk-in tub. They’re the right place. It's easier to get in and out of the walk-in tub than when we had the tub there, which you had to step in. But on this, you can almost walk right into it, which is nice.

The installers were very quick and did a beautiful job. I only have one complaint, and that is nobody said anything to me about the possibility of getting a larger tub. I wish they had because I would have gotten a larger one. I looked after the fact. And it said that there was one that was 5 or 6 inches longer. That would have made it a lot easier for me because I slouch down in the water. I’m too big a person to be able to do that without my knees hitting the wall. So, that limits me to how far down in the water I can get. So, that would have been preferable. But at least I'm able to get into a tub.
Also, if you're gonna slouch down in there, the edge of the seat is hard on the back. So, it would be nice if there was a foam rubber padding that could go there so it wouldn't be so painful to some of us. I found an inflatable cushion that helps, but a foam rubber on that edge going down would have been nice. But I love having it. Sometimes I use the jets, but usually I just like to soak in the tub. That used to be my good reading time, a two-hour bath.

Our tub is perfect. We have some pre-installation paperwork that they were supposed to leave behind. And this has been since January. The inspector inquired, and we haven’t received it. We have a telephone number for American Standard, but I'm not getting anywhere. I get an answering machine, and they don't answer back. That's poor service.
They had the inspectors here. And they supposedly gave them the A-okay to do it on their paperwork. They told them it would take a couple of days, but they had it done the same day. And they left the bathroom in good shape. They told us how it worked so that we wouldn't mess it up. And they said they would leave a couple of papers here, and they put it out towards the garage was. The final people came to get the final work. There was no paperwork that they needed. They were missing. It wasn't the correct paperwork. Other than that, my husband enjoys the but. When he can even take a shower, he needs to be able to sit down and do it. And that would be one of the better things for him.

A representative from American Standard came out on November 2nd. I decided to get the tub, and he signed up the papers. But I didn't get the tub until about a month ago. They lost the paperwork which was ridiculous. The installation went very well though and I like the tub a lot. The only thing that I have a complaint about is I need to get some kind of shower curtain. When I have all my jets on, water goes everywhere. I have to get a regular size and cut it and try to make it work because they don't come in half sizes.

The installation was nice, fast and clean. The crew was very polite. I like the features of American Standard and I really enjoy it. However, there isn't a place right on the wall where you can put your soap. Also, for some reason, we don't know what my nephew did, but the air jets are not coming on. I called at the beginning of the week, and I'm still waiting on customer service. There's also one thing that I'm disenchanted with. We have 50-gallon tank and they told me it would be okay. But that's wrong. We got almost halfway and the hot water ran out. So you got to sit there for 30, 45 minutes until the water heats up again. Now I'm in the process of waiting to see if I could get a tankless hot water tank so we can have enough water to take a bath.

American Standard's rep went through everything. He gave us the information and showed us all his equipment. I sat in the living room and the installers were done an hour and a half before I even figured they would. They even had to take a couple of door jams apart to get the unit into the bathroom. They said this is not the first time, because sometimes, some 3-foot doors are not actually 3-foot. They said they may have to take out a couple of doorframes, and I told them do whatever they needed to do. But it looked like they never touched them. I'm impressed with it. It was smooth and flawless. I like that I don't have to fill the tub all the way up. And I can use the jets.

The sales rep that came out was very friendly, but I ultimately had an issue with him because he made a wrong measurement. American Standard had to take back the tub they originally brought out and bring me one that was smaller. However, the wait time was pretty good because the first time that the gentleman came out and we did the talk and agreed on the price and the setup, it was in the end of September. He said, “Your installation date will be November the 4th.” When the installation team called me, I realized that it was going to be January the 24th. I expressed my dissatisfaction with that, but there wasn’t anything I could do with it.
When they came out on January 24, the installers were excellent. They came on time and did everything they could. I knew they were going to have to make just a slight adjustment on the doorframes, but the guy came to me and said, “I'm sorry, but this tub is a quarter inch too wide. What we can do is tear out your door facings." I have a house that was built in 1905, and I said, “Nope. You're not touching the wood.” We had to, in turn, order a tub that was two inches shorter and two inches narrower than the tub I originally agreed upon. I was afraid it was gonna be another four months, but it was three weeks from the day that they brought the first tub until they brought the second tub.
When I expressed my dissatisfaction with having to get a smaller tub, the manager of the sales department gave me a $500 off on the original installation price. He did very good. The installation was perfect too. I could not have asked for anybody to be any better, because they were really super good and nice, very sorry that it happened the way it did, but I understood that it wasn't anything that they could have helped. I love everything about the tub. It's easier to get in and out of, and it's very relaxing. I love the air bubbles and the jets because I have a lot of arthritis, and I wonder what took me so long to get the tub.

I had never dealt with anybody as professional as the people. The salesman that come out here was very understanding, listened to exactly what we needed, why we needed it, what we wanted, and helped us get exactly what we wanted. And the crew that installed everything was very polite and informative. If I was to have any more work done, I'd want them to do it.
We got a combo. We got a walk-in tub and a walk-in shower. My husband prefers the shower, and I prefer the tub. And it has made a humongous difference. I don't even mind taking a shower because I'm not afraid to fall in that walk-in shower. I had fallen enough in the shower. I didn't like taking a shower. But now with the walk-in shower, I take the shower sometimes instead of the tub. With my husband's disabilities, he has to be able to get in that tub or in that shower without having to stand for any length of time. And he couldn't physically get in the tub he had originally because he couldn’t physically walk over it. So, with this walk-in tub, when he's real bad, he can get in it and turn the jets on. And it helps him a lot. I get the benefits of it as well. I would give it A-plus-plus.

We’re very pleased with them. The tub works easy and it feels good. But they could make it a little longer for more foot room.

The people that installed the tub did a great job. We had to have an electrician come back out because of a breaker was thrown or burned out. But it wasn't his fault. I guess when they messed with the panel, one of the breakers failed. So we hired an electrician to come back and change the breaker out. That's the only thing we've had since we put the tub in. It does a good job. We like it.

I thought it would be such a nice shower and just sit in the tub. I probably shouldn't have spent that kind of money, but I needed something that wouldn't leak, and I needed something that would last. We first tried the bubbles, but the hot water just quit and it turned cold. I don't know what I'm gonna do about that. But I like the shower and everything else about it.
The techs were very nice. The one guy worked too much. I talked to the other guy once in a while, but they were both working at it. It took one whole day to do it. It's amazing what the two people can put together in just a few hours, to have it turn out so nice. My other tub was facing the opposite, and they put it coming into the bathroom, to the left. The tub that I had was to the right, but it leaked out water so I had a nice huge water bill. Over 250 something dollars. So for that part, I'm glad that I got it. I gotta get used to it. I like it and I don't like it. It's a lot smaller. It's not much room to move around in. I can sit down and do that. But I'm so used to a tub all these years, it's hard to get used to it. I will, eventually.

The installation of our American Standard tub was first-rate. The tub's quality is excellent. I like that I can soak my left leg, which is getting gimpy. It really helps to have the heat on it. I love it. The only thing is they did not warn me that a 50-gallon hot water heater wouldn't fill the damn tub. I had to put in an 80-gallon, and that cost almost three grand. The salesman could have been open about it.

I really love the tub and to say the least the only thing I don't like is the brochure says the air is heated but it isn't, otherwise great massage tub. The issue I've been having for over 5 months is that the subcontracted installer needed to do the electrical 3 times and on the 3rd time didn't call the permit in and I've been calling them and American Standard to take care of this and it's still open! The job started last July and now it's Mid March! If not for this I would leave a better review but being I can't get this resolved I worry on how they will be able to handle and possible warranty issues in the future as well! Great Massage Tub terrible service.

I'm worried about slipping on a regular tub. American Standard is safe to use as far as I'm concerned. Customer service has been really good. The installation process took about eight hours. It's a pretty straightforward job. Having my new tub is really different than using a regular tub. I didn't use to sit down and shower. Also, you got to be careful when you’re putting water in there. You need to make sure you get in there before it gets over the door part. Other than that, you seem to be able to get in and out of there faster.

American Standard seemed to have the best product for what I needed. The installation was done well. It was a young lady that put it in and her brother. She did most of the work on the tub, and he did the electrical work. But they were impressive. They also did a good job at demonstrating it. With American Standard, I'm satisfied with everything. Their installation team was awesome. They showed up a little bit before 8:00 like they said they would on the date that they said they would. I made a request about the wraparound which they accommodated. They worked in a timely and professional manner and got the tub in. It looks good. They were done by 2 o'clock in the afternoon. American Standard is a little more expensive than other walk-in tubs but from my experience with what my mother has gone through and things that I've seen and heard, sometimes you get what you pay for, and sometimes you got to pay a little extra to get the quality that you desire with the warranties that you desire. One of the things I like about American Standard was everything they told me is exactly the way it was and is.

We got a tub and shower and the guys who installed it were professional and very courteous. One part of it was leaking and they had no problem coming back out the day after I called them. They fixed the leak and we haven’t had any problems since. Also, the salesperson was very nice. When the guys came for the installation, they forgot the shower curtain rod and he brought that back himself. I was pleased with the whole process of it and my wife and I both are both very pleased with the tub and shower. It looks like it belongs in a luxury house.

American Standard's salesman was good. He showed me the walk-in tub. The installers did a good job. It took two days and that was what they said it would take. I don't like the tub, though. It's a good piece of equipment. I don't have any problem with that, and everything works. I have just never been in a walk-in tub before and take a bath sitting. I like the bathtub better. Also, you gotta be in it to run the water. They've got it fixed to where when you turn it on and pump the water out quickly, but it takes a little while to fill it up. I've barely got enough hot water to fill it. I had to have the heat raised on my hot water heater to where I could get it filled up to where it's supposed to be. Other than that, everything works like they said it would. Try one out.

The sales rep was excellent and he answered all my questions. The techs who installed were very professional and friendly. If I asked a question why they were doing something, they told us. It was a nice experience. The tub fits our bathroom very well. The problem we had with the tub is that our hot water tank wasn't big enough. We ended up having to pay $1,500 for a new one. Whenever the sales rep comes out, that's something that needs to be checked. Other than that, I like relaxing in the tub and my husband likes the shower. I'm very happy with the tub and I especially like that it drains so fast. Because when I've had a nice hot bath, and then all of a sudden, the water leaves, and I'm kind of cold. So, I just wrap my towel around me as it's draining and I'm fine.

The installation people were superb. They were pleasant and informative. I wish they were around to do other things. The only question I have about my American Standard tub is a little bizarre. When the train goes by heavily loaded, if we were upstairs in our antique house, we can feel the house shake. There is always that little vibration that happens over and over. The little handle on the drain controller will come out if I don't tighten it every four days. The first time it fell off, I pulled the plate out and looked at what had to go back, put it back and screwed it back in. But I'm not sure if that happened correctly because I now find the drain won't stay open to drain unless I hold it open.
Other than that, it took me a while to get used to the things I had to remember to do before I got in the tub. And I found out how to wash my hair and take a shower quickly instead of a long soak, and I’m enjoying it. One of my favorite times to take out a long soak is in the middle of the night when I wake up and I can't sleep. I get in there, soak it away and go back to bed.

The guy came out and talked to me about the tub. He was a spectacular salesman. I used to do sales myself, and he did a superior job. I signed up, johnny-on-the-spot. It was more than I could afford, but I like it. The installers told me what they were doing, they put stuff down on the floor to protect the floors, and they were very good. They cleaned up after themselves and then they told me about the tub and how it works. I was real pleased with the installers. I like the tub. It's convenient. I used to fall in the tub a lot, so not falling is a big plus for me.

The tub seems to be built pretty solid. It works real good. It was 5,000 less than another price offered. But when the tub was installed, the drain was off center a little bit, and it posed a small leak, which they had to come back out and repair. They'd done that, so that's good. Everything's working fine.

We like everything about the tub. We're in our 80s, and we don't have to be afraid to get in and out the tub. Everything about it is wonderful. We are enjoying it. The installers that came out were wonderful. They were so informative. We had a hole in a certain place, and the installer said if they put the tub there, they had something to hold it up and that it would make it off balance. So instead of putting it one way, they had to back it up another way. I couldn't have asked for two better guys. They did it really well and fast.

The salesperson was knowledgeable and very nice. I bought the tub in September and it was installed on January the 21st. The installers got there at 8:30, and they left a little before 5:00, and they did not take a lunch. They did a great job. I like the whole tub. I love the massaging bubbles and it's my favorite part. I have rheumatoid arthritis and the tub makes me feel better. I did have an issue with the tub. While being in the tub, the handle to the drain fell off. I was able to get it out and figure out how it went back on there and screw it back in. But it was just a matter of vibration from the bubbles. Over time, it vibrated loose because apparently, it just screws in. So American Standard should advise customers to make sure that's good and tight before they get in the tub because it might be difficult for an elderly person to reach it when the handle falls to the bottom of the tub.

When I signed the papers, I had nightmares about the tub because I never spent this much money in my entire life on anything, except for the car and the house. It’s only a tub. But I wouldn't take anything for that tub. I enjoy sitting in that tub. I have a grand baby and he loves to get in that tub with me. He’s about three and he loves to get his dinosaurs in there and sit in the bottom. I let the water get up enough to where it's over the air jets and turn the air jets on. He knows how to work the lights and see all the different color lights. So I have enjoyed it. I have told everybody I come in contact with it knows me about my tub.
The tub has these different color lights. When you push the lights on, they change colors. They go from red to green to blue to purple. Sometimes, they change by themselves, or you can set them for whatever color you want to. You can't put chemicals inside these tubs. But when I got the tub, it came with these scented beads. It's got a place on the outside of the tub that air comes through and it's got a cap on it. You put one bag of those down in there and screw the cap on. At night, when you're soaking in the tub, you can have the lights out, and put your music on the counter in there. Then lean back in that tub and have those different color lights on, and that aroma comes up out of there. You can be in a different world. Those beads last 30 days. They don't get wet. It's just the smell from the air that puts them out there.
The tub has 46 jets and I wouldn't take anything for it. They're hitting you on your back, your legs, your arms, and even in your hands. It helps your feet. It helps the circulation in your legs. It's amazing. You can turn them off and on. You don't have to use them all. There's a button for the jets for your back and then you can turn them off. I also have a button for the jets for the air down on the bottom that does your legs and your waist down. The tub also has a power drain to it that you use to drain the water out quickly.
When American Standard did the installation, they had to make the bathroom door wider because the tub was wider than the other one. They also replaced the toilet because the toilet came with the tub. It's a higher toilet. They made it where it is wheelchair-accessible. Like if I ever had to have a wheelchair in there, all I have to do is slide off the wheelchair and slide right into the tub. That was amazing all of its own. My daughter had a hysterectomy and she hadn't been able to take a bath in her tub because it's too far down. But with my tub, she was able to take the bath and that was awesome. It couldn't have come at a better time.
On the day when American Standard put the bidet in, the bidet wasn't level. It was level on one side but not on the other. So you couldn't tighten it down. When I called American Standard, they told me that because it was not the tub, the contractor would probably be busy. The rep didn't know what their schedule was. But if I got my own plumber to fix the toilet and send them the bill, then they would reimburse me. So I got my own plumber and he came out. I sent them the bill and they were very prompt and sent me my money back that I paid on it. That was awesome in itself in this day and time.

Sean, the salesman, was great. He brought parts in and it was nice to see. He made a good sale. It was very detailed, involved and he wasn't in a hurry to get in here and get out. The guys who installed the walk-in were a couple of young guys and they knew what they were doing. They had a few problems but they worked them out. I ordered them pizza so they'd have to take a lunch break. Because otherwise, they wouldn't have. I love the quality. As for strength, air jets and water jets combined, it's a good product. Everything that American Standard said was truthful and their warranty is top of the line compared to everything else. It’s across the board and lifetime.

Every time I called for something, the rep always called me back. The techs got the installation done and it looks good. It was a long time coming because of the wait for the parts. But it's a lot nicer than what I thought it was gonna be. The new tub is gorgeous and it's of good quality. It's easy to get in and out of it.

I've known American Standard for a while. They have good products back in the years and they're still good products. We've had a great experience. The reps are always open and aboveboard. Something got short circuited somewhere the first time and the reps didn't make it, but they came and got the tub in. They were having problems getting the shower so it took about seven months. I never paid a penny, except for down payment until the rep finished everything. The workers and everything were as nice as they could be. They try not to inconvenience you. They stayed almost till 11 o'clock trying to get finished with the shower. They did finish it, so they were very dedicated to their work, making sure they did it the way you wanted it done.
I love the shower though I can't get in the tub. My wife keeps it. She loves it. She likes the convenience of getting in and the way it has got these little bit smaller steps. She still has trouble getting in and out of it but that's mainly her having trouble with it. The shower's got a small step but it’s a bigger step than we thought it was gonna be when we got it. But she manages it fine and likes it all. She has a lot of back pain and she likes to get in the tub, soak and let it beat on her. It does a lot of good. She can move better when she comes out.

The rep was thorough and told us everything. We were impressed with the presentation and the product itself. The three installers came at 4 o’clock and it was like clockwork. One knew what the other was gonna do and they said they wouldn't be a bother to us but they'd work as loud as we allowed to. They quit about 8 o’clock and was back here 7 o’clock the next morning, and they were out here by 1 o'clock. It was perfect. I love the jets in the walk-in bath. I need a bigger hot water heater though. I like it hot and fill it up above the top jets. I run so much water and then sit there. I like the air on my back too. But I’ll turn the water off for a while and turn it back on. Then I'll get it up above that and I could stay in there for an hour or longer. I like having the shower nozzle too. It makes it handy about reaching my hair. I love the walk-in tub. It’s a great investment and I highly recommend American Standard.

When I first called, I didn't think I was going to be able to afford it or to figure out a way to get it done. But they made it easy. They gave me nice promos as far as discounts and they were very professional. They explained everything step-by-step. The installation went perfectly. I got two standard showers and one tub with shower doors from American Standard. They were a little pricier than I thought, but I still went ahead with it. The sales rep guaranteed me that if there was ever any problem, they would fix things and that it was high quality. The installation wasn't as good as I was told though. I had to call them back. There's caulking that's peeling. I've talked to them but I haven't gotten a reply back. I'm not 100% satisfied but the products are working.

The sales rep was fantastic. He went over everything with us and showed us the booklets. We were pleased with him. During the installation, the guys who came were both very friendly and knowledgeable. They did their work very cleanly. I'm completely satisfied with the tub. We had a couple of guys come in and they talked to us. It seemed that the American tub was a little bit better. It had the motor to push the water out quickly and I like that. The other thing is the door was too small so they were going to cut it out. We put new framing around the door and they did that. Right now, you would not know that it had been done. It looks so professional. We love the tub and the reps couldn't have been more accommodating. We haven't had any problems but if we'll do and call them, they would be here tomorrow or would be scheduling something pretty quick to take care of the problem.

American Standard was the most economical for a well-known brand. They're kind of pricey but if somebody wanna put one in, I would definitely say to consider them. They came out, gave me a quote and checked my bathroom out and my doorways. They explained the process to me as well as the pricing.
A very nice and knowledgeable fella did the installation. But I can tell he doesn't own one himself. He told me a few things that I kind of found workarounds that worked a little better than what he could have said. He said, “Don't use the sprayer because it'd take too long. Use the filler.” But I found that I could use about 80% or 90% with the faucet and still use the sprayer lightly to wash my hair while it's filling, something he never mentioned at all. He said, “You want to use the faucet to fill it faster,” which is true but you can still wash your hair while you're waiting. But he knew how to install the product real well, check everything out, and how it worked. He explained all the controls and put it in. He put the toilet in also, which was the only other installation hiccup. The free toilet ended up having a bad fill valve and it didn't work. He had to come back and change it out.

The first contact with a sales representative was very pushy and though it was said to be a free estimate the salesperson was very rude when I did not buy right there and then. I decided to try to look past this and I was interested in the product still so I gave them another chance and asked for a different salesperson. I had every intent to buy and after speaking with supervisor Andre who said I was scheduled for 1pm on 2-11-2022 expected to have a better experience. 1:15pm rolled around and no one showed so I called and was told they had no appointment for me. I can't help but think that this would be the service that I would receive through the process. Incredibly unorganized. Incredibly pushy and rude. I now await for a call from corporate and if this is posted they also failed to satisfy.

The installers were hired plumbers and it went fine. The tub is too small for us though. We really wanted it for our lower legs, and looking at the movies, we thought that you could stretch out in it a little, but you can't. And you got to fill that tub up before you can make the thing work, where all we wanted was to get in there and do our legs. Another weak point is what we have and that's the sprayer. The hose is very thin plastic, and it's got this spiral cover that looks like stainless steel and that's to allow it to bend. But it appears it's more of a joke. We've only used it five times and the thing broke. We're not hard on stuff, so American Standard either has a bad batch or they need to do a little more engineering on that sprayer. We've been meaning to call them for some repair on it. To sum it up, are we glad we got the walk-in tub? Yeah. Is it a little expensive? Yeah. Because it's a little small. Other than that, we'll tell people we like it.

The sales person came out to home on 11/23/2021. He was very patient and understanding. We put down a deposit and scheduled an install for 12/20/2021. To summarize, we are still waiting for the install. Just got a call & now they are saying we are not even scheduled for an install. My mom has to use the other bathroom since hers is totally torn apart. She has fallen not once but three times trying to get to the bathroom that is on the other side of house. We can't get anybody to call us back and the service reps. can't help.

It was a positive experience with the sales rep of American Standard. Although at the very end, it became pressured because he said if we didn't immediately buy it, the price would go up 1,000 bucks. We like the product, though. The contractor that installed it was excellent. When they removed the shower, they found black mold behind the tile. I was lucky that this contractor was also set up to remedy that. He was able to remedy that and get the tub in. We really love the tub. However, after it gets below where the pump drains it, it seems to drain pretty slow.

The crew had a few mistakes. They punched a hole in the wall. And it wasn't as clean as I would expect it to be as far as finishing it up. Everything else was fine. We love it. The tub is a bit noisy, but it's fine. The jets are our favorite.

American Standard's rep was very knowledgeable, nice, detail-oriented, and wasn't a pressure guy. Because if he had been a pressure guy, we would not have purchased anything. He was very helpful in every way. We had to cancel our first attempt at doing it because there were some financial things that were going on. We got back to him, and he had no problem with that. He told me when the item would be delivered, and it was delivered exactly when he told me it would be. So, I was very happy with him.
The installation was one of the nicest experience I've ever had with anything that I've put in my house. The guy came out in the morning. He explained everything out in the driveway. He took the unit out of the truck and put it in the driveway, and let my mother-in-law come out there in the driveway and sit in it, and made sure she felt comfortable with it before even starting to put it in. So she was familiar with it before the product was even put in there. As he was working, he told me what he was going to do, and did it. Cleaned up very well after he was done. Walked through the whole thing, and took pictures of it. It took two days to do it, but it was good. The main thing I wanted to have the tub for is for the therapy product, and the jets. My mother-in-law is having a hard time making herself comfortable using it. But she loves the tub as far as going in there, being able to sit down and shower herself and wash her hair.

We love the installation that we have. And everybody I've worked with with American Standard has been most accommodating. After having selected them, I had a very great sales representative. The installation crew, a young man and his sister, completed our installation and did a fantastic job. We have two baths in our condo and we have just put aside the usage of the bathing facility and the larger of the two baths and we use the one that American Standard installed. We love it. My wife has rheumatoid arthritis. And for her to get in and out of any bathing facility that has not been altered with a low level, the step in, and the ability to use a seat, which was installed with our unit -- those are the factors that affected our decision most, providing a facility that accommodates her special needs.

It was very good with American Standard. The rep was very personable and straightforward. She worked back with her boss and wrote us up an offer, and we accepted it. Once we accepted it, one of our challenges was to try to come up with the right time. We had a gal as the contact and it's the same person all the time. We had to rearrange things at different times and she was extremely helpful. Then one man's crew quit on him, and we had to go with another crew. We got a crew who were two people coming from Paducah. They live across the river from Louisville and Jeffersonville, so they had to come some distance. They spent one night in a hotel and finished up the second day. The only challenge that they had was they were expecting three people to carry the tub to the second floor, and just the two of them were there. But they made it.
It was an elevated, kind of a step up where the jacuzzi was. They stayed with that platform, which was all the way across. The jacuzzi was lengthwise with the room. They decided that it would be better to go crosswise. They have a backsplash which they can make it a variety of different heights. They made it right enough so it went around the window’s trim a little bit, but it took care of all the needs. They nicely finished it up.
Some of the things that they were talking about was the drain knob right underneath the top area of the tub. He said that a lot of times, American Standard has listened to different consumers, and people with arthritis had a hard time turning that. So, they put a little stem on it to make it more of a handle. My wife likes the blue lights, but she enjoys all four of them. The air as well as the water jets are great. We also like the backflow cleaning feature. All of a sudden it starts happening and you wonder what did you do wrong. But you get used to it after that.

Other than that, it was no problem getting ahold of American Standard. They are supposed to send these parts and somebody out to fix it. American Standard is evidently an old, reliable company. They were one of the more expensive ones out of the ones I checked. But it has a lifetime warranty. They come out and fix it. The guarantee was better. I hardly heard the installers. They didn't carry on a bunch of crap, they were young and very professional. They did an outstanding job. They didn't scratch the paint. I was really impressed.
We thought we would have to buy a new hot water tank, which would have been another $8,000, but we didn't. So, we turned our water up a bit and it works fine. It's just that we don't have enough foot room in the bottom when we take a shower. If American Standard had given us two inches more, it would've been beneficial. But I'm sure there's a reason for it. Also, one of the jets doesn't work. But I like our bathtub a lot.

The sales rep and installation crew were pretty good guys. But there were a couple of things that they did that I didn't like. They had to go under the house and they left the door open and then they left the door to our building open. I didn’t say anything about it to them and I had to go out there to close two doors. But the tub has real good quality. It’s top-notch because it's a big tub and it’s got plenty of room in it and I like the way it operates. My only complaint is that it keeps shutting off, and it keeps tripping the breaker. The installer put a breaker down in the bottom of the tub. American Standard wanted him to put it up on the top of the tub where you can get to it, but I like it down like that. My only problem is getting down there myself because I got bad legs. The button is too short for me to push really easy and reset it.

The installers were great. We had to delay the installation a while because of my illness and my bathroom is right by the bedroom so I couldn't handle them coming in. They were very nice about putting everything off until I could get through with recovering from surgery. They kind of went around my schedule instead of their schedule, which a lot of companies won't do. When they had to be really loud, they shut the door so I didn't have to hear everything. Also, I'm so short and they cut the bottom of the tub off so that I could step in it a lot easier.
The tub itself, I like. But my husband is so used to taking showers and that part is different for him because he's not used to holding the handle to take a shower.But other than that, we both like it. I love it. It feels really good on the back, the legs and the feet. I definitely recommend the people who put our tub in. They were very skilled at what they did.

The sales and installation people were very helpful. I enjoyed the experience. We use the American Standard product and we enjoy it. It works relatively well. I'm impressed. I bought the tub because I broke my hip and I thought it would help out with a little therapy on it. It seems to be helping. I used to have terrible pimples on my back as well as dry skin and they're starting to go away. My skin is starting to feel soft again back there.

The rep had a really good knowledge of the product and he seemed to be very honest. Anything that we had questions for, he answered them. However, the longer we've had it, the more we're disappointed in a couple of aspects. We've used the shower and it's kind of a pain. We've lost a bunch of water pressure and we don't get the water temperature we should have. Right now, we would not recommend it to a friend but it's better than the competitor. Our issue is with the installers. They did a ** job of patching up the walls after they left.

I have only used my tub once because after using it, there was this terrible smell. It took forever for it to go away. Also, when they delivered it, they told me that one of the screws was stripped, and that came out. They told me that they would come back out and fix that but I haven't seen anybody. Initially, when American Standard sent me the tub, it was the wrong size. They got the bigger tub, but the problem was we couldn't get the tub in the bathroom. I had to have contractors come in and tear out the doorway in the bathroom and rebuild the doorway. Then when the tub was installed, there was a problem. The hot water would not come through. When you turn the water on, it was lukewarm to the point where you could not get in it. Considering it was installed during the time when the weather was cooler, it was easier to tell.
I called American Standard and a young lady answered the phone. I explained that I just had the tub installed and it has never been used but the hot water wasn't coming through. She told me I needed to call a plumber and there was something wrong with my hot water heater. But the hot water works everywhere in the house. There's never been a problem. There's a double sink in that bathroom, and water comes through.
She put the work order in, but that was unprofessional of her to tell me what I needed to do for an item that was just purchased and never used. Her job was to take my complaint and forward it to the people who are in charge. She didn't know what the problem was. How could she sit there and diagnose the problem? I also didn't like her tone. I just spent $20,000 on an item that I hadn't even been able to use. I was not gonna call them about a problem if a problem didn't exist and I was definitely not gonna call someone else to service the problem. When I bought this item, I was told it has a lifetime warranty for repairs.
Once she put the report in, a young man came out and he checked it. He told me there was a very good possibility that it was the mixing valve. He came back another day, replaced the mixing valve, and voilà, it worked. Except for the young lady, everybody else who I dealt with for the entire process was A+. I do love the tub. There was one thing that I missed in the manual though. The first time that happened, I thought the tub was malfunctioning. I eventually unplugged it then plugged it back up later. I was gonna call the next morning but thought of going through the manual again. I found that the item is down in the print. It should upfront saying the the tub will automatically put in the jets for about 20 minutes after you turn it on.

Purchase was great, and installation went well. The quality and features of the walk-in tub are great as well, and we’re very impressed with it. We love the jets and the air bubble things are nice. We are having a little issue with where you put the scents in though. We can’t get it open. Overall, American Standard is pricey but it is worth it, especially when you put in the fact that a potential fall would cost a lot more.

Our new tub is very good but we’re having a little trouble with it. The issue is on the handheld unit. There's a rubber grommet that goes up against the bar to lock it in position. That rubber grommet came out, so it no longer holds its position on that bar up and down. I tried to get the rubber grommet to go in there. I got it in there, but it doesn't fit right and it needs to be replaced. So, I made a phone call. I’m waiting for a call back up from the technician. Other than that, we like the tub a lot.

The salesman from American Standard did a great job. He was very informative and wasn't pushy at all. I've had a lot of work done remodeling, with different crews, and the installers who came have got to be the best two guys that I have ever had walk in my home and do any work. They cleaned up, answered all of our questions, were very respectful and made zero mess. They had a vacuum cleaner and every time they were doing something that was gonna cause a little dust or dirt, that vacuum cleaner was on. It was amazing watching the guys complete the job in two days with all they had to do. They did top-notch work.
We're getting up in age and it's getting harder for my wife to step over a tub but she likes to take a bath. This walk-in tub made it very convenient for her to open the door, get in, fill it up and sit down. It has a little spa built into it with the jets and keeps the water warm. She loves it. The walk-in tub was a little pricey but it’s perfect. American Standard was professional all the way.

The guy who was doing the plumbing showed up late because he had extra work on a job before us. It was getting in the evening, and my husband told him to finish up. We stayed up till 10 o'clock, and he finished up. We had two jets that were not working and we called the office. The lady didn't do anything about it. We called back the next week, and she still did not do anything about it. Finally, we called the third week, and another lady said that the lady was on vacation and that was why nothing was done. One day, the plumbing person showed up, and he had it fixed in five minutes.

The reps were very good. They were on time, took care of everything and cleaned up after themselves. It was a good operation. The tub is small. I’m a big guy. It runs out of hot water before the tub gets full. I want it to be longer. Also, there are two different bubble things. One is the liquid and one is air. The air is a little violent. Tends to splash out a bit. Other than that, the tub feels good on my legs.

American Standard Walk-in Baths makes the best toilets in the industry. My master bathroom is fairly small, so there's not a lot of room to work in there. It took one day to install the tub, and the installer came back and did a bit of adjustment. There are only a couple of minor things that I see on my tub. It's just things the installer could have done a little better job of when he was caulking the thing and when he put it in and he could've trimmed and a couple of pieces of tile that were hanging down, but they didn't. But it's still acceptable. Also, American Standard needs to make the tubs longer because I'm six foot two and sometimes I'd like to stretch out a bit. If they were six to eight inches longer, they'd be very nice. And they probably had six to eight inches left in the space that they had to put that in. Other than that, I'm satisfied with it.

We liked American Standard's sales presentation, the pricing and them working with us. We had Safe Step, Kohler and another one come in, and American Standard's sales guy was much better than the others and worked with us well. We felt more comfortable with him. He was able to work on the pricing, too for us. The installers were a really good team. They had to bring one in first. They brought it to the living room. My dad tried it out and it was gonna be too small because it was one that opened in instead of out. So, the guy got on the phone and whoever he talked with, we were able to get one that opened out for the same pricing.
The installation was great. I even had to call the guy with a question afterwards, and he was very helpful over the telephone. We really like the shower. It's good. I like the water jets and the air jets. Now that we're getting more used to the buttons and what they do, all is good. The only thing is the bathroom is so small that you have to kind of maneuver around to get in it because it's right next to the toilet. But it works.

The installation was fantastic. The gentleman did a good job. But I don't like the way the door opens to the outside. The American Standard salesman that was here suggested that because my husband has a walker. But that doesn't work well because the walker and the door would not fit together. Also, when we open the door, it opens so hard it hits the corner of the wall. Those little rubber things that they put up there fell, and we put those back on. But they don't hold the door and still hits the corner of the wall and it gets hard if we don't hold on to it.
The step down is much more than I expected it was. I tried to get my husband in once and I couldn't do it. I don't have the safety bars in yet either because the backsplash and all that is not in yet. And to use the actual jets, we have to sit in there for almost 25 minutes for the thing to fill. So, I just fill it up to my ankles and do a bath and wash that way. And with the shower portion of it, I use that. It worries me because it has a tendency to come a bit loose and with water goes down that hole. So, if I had to go over it again. I wouldn't do it.

When I called American Standard, I got this really nice kid, Randy. I made my mind up because of the way he talked to me. The installation was wonderful. They were in and out in about four hours. It was really surprising for us. The installers had excellent manners, and they did a good job installing it for all the things they had to do. They left the area cleaner than they found it. With American Standard, we got everything we were looking for and then some because we also got the commode.

Everything has a lifetime warranty with American Standard and that was what I was looking for. The only people that would really need those tubs would be people like myself who have mobility problems. I can’t walk really well. The tub is an awesome deal for people of my age. When we get my age of 74, we don't continue to be able to walk and move around like we used to. That tub allows you to continue to at least take baths like you used to. The jets and stuff really help you a lot.
The tub was good for me but was awfully high for elderly people. I got it financed. The workman did a marvelous job with the installation. They were very considerate. When they came in, they had one tub. I’m a heavy person and they saw that the one tub that the salesman represented wasn’t gonna work for me. They moved it and they immediately went to get what would accommodate my needs. I was very appreciative of that.
I've been intending to call American Standard because the jets on my leg are not strong enough. All I have to do is call and they'll address it for me. Until that issue, I'm perfect with the tub just being able to take a bath in the condition I’m in. I moved into a house that had a shower and I couldn’t step up and step down out of it. I need to take a bath. Given the chance to clean myself daily, I can get up and in and close the door.

The reps were very helpful and the installation went well. Our garden tub was put out, so I had some wall and tile repair that wasn't included. It would’ve been nice if American Standard took care of the whole job. Also, we have tried the aromatherapy and it doesn't seem to be working. We put the bag in that came with it. But it's been in there for two or three weeks and doesn't look like it's being consumed.

We owned an American Standard jet tub originally and loved it. When we got the pricing for the tub and all of the pros and cons of each that we checked into, we decided American Standard was our best bet. The rep was very thorough, and he answered every question we had. He gave us exact measurements and things that we needed. He was very good at what he did. One of the things that we like is the quick drain. It works fast. Also, my husband loves the air jets. He said it helps his shoulder a lot.

I highly recommend American Standard. They are a very old, reputable company. As a child, our house had American Standard everything in it so I was comfortable working with them. I gave them a call and their representative came out and did all the measuring. The crew they had was very professional and they explained everything. I live in a tiny space. I have a 5x5 bathroom. They were even able to give me extra three inches in front of the tub which makes it great. It elongated my little bathroom. They were very thorough and clean. If they had a drip of something when they were trying to put the caulking, they would wipe it up immediately so nothing stuck. Ed, the owner of this little construction group that works for American Standard, had picked something really nice for my surround. It's not just plain, it had a little bit of a texture to it, which gives it a little bit of a sparkle. Every single penny that I paid for this unit was fabulous.
I'm glad I have the tub. I have spinal and bone and fracture issues. I didn't need to be standing in the shower. They explained to me they could do the overhead rain shower. They put the grab bars where I needed them. The tub comes with one but they also included two extra for me as part of the whole deal. I'm thoroughly enjoying having the tub. I could only take showers and I haven't been able to sit in a bath for over six years. The tub was great because the relief on my spine was immediate.

Tub worked fine for about a year, then door seal sprung a leak that floods bathroom when 1/2 full. Working with maintenance dept for 3 months now to fix. Repair/install tech determined 2 1/2 months ago that door was cracked and had to be replaced. Call maintenance rep for updates and just get revised dates for when the door will be in (next week, Dec 20, Feb 8) and excuses (lack of staff, parts). Tub still unusable for soaking.

The sales rep with American Standard was the first one that came, and we were impressed in everything. During the installation, they came when they said they were gonna come. It was two days but was seamless. They were very careful with the house. They put paper down to protect the carpeting, told us things along the way, showed us how to work all the different things, and explained that they'd have to take the door jamb out of the one to the bedrooms so the tub would fit in. The door jamb that they took out and put back in was a perfect job. A lot of times the door to the bedroom didn't wanna close completely and now it does. They were so polite and efficient. They knew what they were doing. You couldn't ask for anything better, anyone better than those two. The only thing is they left a couple of their tools.
The tub is great. I like being able to get in and sit down. We've had the tub that we've had when we moved down here for seven years and I never got in it because I knew I wouldn't be able to get out of it. Being able to get in and out of our American Standard tub is the big thing. My husband likes the massaging for his legs and I do too for my back and my knees. We’re totally satisfied and I would recommend American Standard to anybody.

We checked several different companies and the lady representative that we had with American Standard was more knowledgeable about the product. She had everything right on the money for it so we decided to go with her. However, the installation was a trip and a half. However, it took them almost three months to put the tub in. It was because the first time they called, the woman said the guy would be out but there was something that happened. She called back almost two weeks that he was supposed to come but he didn't show up. We called back and he had something else that had to be done. It was kind of a runaround to get the tub put in.
We like the tub but I wasn't too thrilled about the way it was installed. The guy brought one tub out. My wife is crippled and she couldn't get in it very well. He said they got this other tub and the side opens up a lot better on it. We told him we'd go with that one so he took that one back. This was at about a month and a half after the first install date. He said they'd be back in two weeks but he went back a month and a half later and put the tub in. The problem with it was the salesperson had said it would be installed the next week. I figured I'd help them out so I stripped out a lot of the plumbing facilities. I had put them all back in so we have a tub to take a shower.

I was looking at the tub more as a safety thing and the salesperson told us about the different health benefits which I didn't realize. Aside from being safer, this would help my mother feel better. She likes the tub though it took her a little while to get used to it. They warned her about turning the jets on before there was enough water, and she messed it up a couple times and got water everywhere. But she's getting the hang of it and enjoys her tub. It's easy, in and out. I thought it would look a lot more clinical, but it doesn't. It's very attractive. It's also easy to follow the instructions. The guys who installed it were great. They explained everything and let me video them. It took much less time to install than I thought it would, and that was a plus.

American Standard should keep the team they've got installing their product. It's a son and his dad and they were great. They cleaned up their messes. I couldn't ask for anything better. However, I need a breakdown of what was done and American Standard won't give it to me. I called in and left our rep messages, but he never gets back to me. He had surgery and he's sick so that's understood. But I tried to call but they don't understand exactly what I need. I've talked to supervisors but I haven't been getting anywhere. My insurance company is willing to pay. They just need to know approximately how much the tub and installation was. We've been waiting on that since November when the tub was put in but American Standard says they don't hand out itemized bills.
My brother's gonna buy one 'cause he's the one that's helping me remodel my bathroom. He's been here when I've been on the phone trying to get a breakdown. He's listened to the conversations and he says now he doesn't want to go with American Standard, even though it's lifetime guaranteed. My sister tried the tub and she loves it. She's talking about one but now they're saying they're not going to do it with American Standard. There are two tubs that I sold and I could get 1,000 bucks out of that but nope, I can't get anywhere with them.

Purchased Liberation Tub 6-24-20. Tub is leaking from the drain into basement area on discharge of water. Have been calling American Standard/Safety Tub For Service since Sept 2021 with no response or call back. Totally disgusted with the service aspect of this product. Will no longer consider American Standard products for future purchase.

My tub had problems after 2 months. Called customer service and never got a date for repair and when messages left No call back. Finally after 3 weeks and many calls I was given 12/31/21 as repair date. No one showed. Another repairman called and said the first man didn’t want to do the job so he dumped it on him. In the meantime I am handicapped and unable to use the tub I paid a lot for. American Standard is the worst company to ever deal with. Once they have your money they don’t care about the customer. Still waiting for repair.

The sales representative was very nice and appeared knowledgeable. The only trouble we had with him was we went back and forth about the color. I told him I wanted the off-color or tan color and he said that I'd better go with the white as it was better for the application. When the tub actually came, the installers said it was the wrong color tub. We bought the beige and they took the wrong color back. They brought the next one. We ordered the right color and got it in a relatively short period of time. My mom is the only one that uses the tub and she absolutely loves it. She really enjoys it and it's a great product. It's 100% safer and there is a good quality in it.

The rep was knowledgeable and thorough. He explained everything. The installers were very nice. But I went under the house and they had not closed up the cutouts that they had made. They kind left them. I called back to American Standard and complained that the job was not finished. The same crew went back and finished it. The product is wonderful and I love it. I like the way it fills up fast and empties fast. But, I slip and slide on the seat so I had to get some strips to put on there.

Many of the other products looked like they were hashed together. They didn't look like they were very good looking, especially when they handled the shower handles. We wanted something that looked like it was well done. We also looked at the responses from others and the prices. Kohler was nicer but it also was a lot more expensive. We decided to take the second best and took the choice of a good quality product with a little bit better price. The purchase and the installation were excellent and I like the tub. I especially like the showerhead. It's very solid. It's easy to use, and it doesn't look like trash. However, it's a little tiny bit higher to get in and out of than I would like. When you have trouble walking or you're transferring from a wheelchair, it's hard to get your foot up so the climb in is a little more difficult. It would be better if it could be just a couple of inches lower.
After American Standard sells you the product, their customer service is the pits. One of the lights didn't work right so they ordered it. It came and they were supposed to come and put it in but it sat here. Finally, after about six months, I called and it took a while for them to send a guy out. When he came out, he said, “I'll be back the next day with somebody that can help me do it.” He didn't show up the next day, and we've not heard from them since. But I’m really happy with the way they put it in and the product itself.

My husband had an operation where his colon was removed and he was quite weak after that. We figured a walk-in tub would be much easier for him to use than having to step up and get into the bathtub. I went online on Lowe's and I typed in "walk-in tubs". In 30 seconds, I got a call from American Standard and the gal was really nice. She sent me the website and and we set up a time for the fellow to come out and explain about it. Then later on that day, I got at least one more call from some other outfit that heard that we were interested in the walk-in tubs. Even a week ago, I got a call from somebody that asked if I was still interested in the walk-in tub. I told them we went with American Standard and we're very happy with it.
American Standard was very easy to work with and the only drawback was that the installation took so long. We contacted them in April and the installation date turned out to be June 10th. The thing is, the baby boomers are turning 75 this year, so they're all in the market for this stuff. So American Standard was overwhelmed with orders. Then, the unfortunate thing is that my husband passed away in July, so he only got to use the tub for about three or four times, which was too bad. But my grandson loves it.
Other than that, we are going to have to get a bigger water heater as 40 gallons just doesn't hack it. The fellow who came out suggested that you need a 50-gallon water heater and I went to Lowe's, ordered one, and they were going to install it. But when the guy who was going to install it came out, he looked in the place where it was supposed to go and said the door was too narrow. He wouldn't be able to get it in there. So we had to go to plan B. And the fellow that was going to install the walk-in tub came out, looked, and he said that he thought we could go with the 40 gallons for now. So we did. But he also said that he thought there was a suitable 50-gallon tank that would go in there, the Lowe's guy just didn't have the full picture. He also suggested that we should get a tankless water heater, so that's on the list down the line.

I had Kohler and American Standard out to get quotes. When they came out and showed us what they had to offer, we liked the American Standard tub better. It had the better features. We liked the extra spa-like experience with the lights, jets and everything else. The sales rep was great. The initial installation crew was good. They were very professional and nice. But they were a little secretive. They messed up some things in the wall. And they dinged the wall a couple of times, and maybe didn't seal it properly. I called and American Standard sent out another team a few days later. They corrected all the issues and fixed it. They were great. So, everything was fine.
The tub is worth it for our family and our situation. This is our forever house to stay. We're all big people. So, having that nice, big swing out door and space just made more sense for the future. It would be much easier. It's nice to not have to go to a regular spa and pay all this money to sit in the tub with people around you. You can do it at home.

My aunt bought an American Standard walk-in tub. She committed to it before she reviewed it with me and she felt like she couldn't back out. The crew came, installed it then left. We had to have them come back because they left some areas not caulked and they didn't do a clean-up. When they took the old shower out, they left a lot of silicone and holes. I can't do anything about the holes but the crew cleaned up and finished the caulking. They were really good about it.
The only thing is my aunt hasn't used the walk-in tub since she bought it except one time because she normally just bathes with a washcloth. She now has a year's worth of supplemental income in a bathtub that she doesn't use. But my husband takes a sit-down shower in it a couple of times a week so it is being used. Other than that, American Standard was good.

After purchase in October, the promised installation date 11/21 was delayed, so I hired a professional substitute who set aside a week to complete the job. The tub was shipped with missing parts which created a time problem. After installation, tub is unusable due to a leak and jets not working. Customer service promised service that failed to show this week and and the Service Person says he didn't come because the part didn't arrive in time. So now I am waiting to see if they will keep their promise to come in January 2022!

My girlfriend got a discount at American Standard and there were also a couple of the items that were included in it. We had a couple of little problems in the beginning and they satisfied whatever our complaints were. It was just pretty damn expensive as it was almost $19,000. But we're satisfied with it.

I went on the internet and looked American Standard up, and the next thing I knew, I got a phone call where American Standard is hooked up. The reps were helpful and knowledgeable. The installers had a lot of stuff to do there because they had to redo a lot of electrical to accomplish it. But they did a good competent job. Good workmanship. I got the tub mostly for my wife because she's 87 and has arthritis. So, it's good for her because she doesn't have to worry about falling.

We have used American Standard toilets and things like that for the last 50 years. So, when we went for the tub, I didn't want to go for a name of a company that I didn't know. The sales rep was fairly new, but she immediately was able to get ahold of her supervisor and answer questions that we had that she wasn't sure of. She had an answer, but she wasn't sure of it, so she hardened the answer. And it was about construction and removing doorways. It was difficult for them to get that tub into the small bathroom that we have it in and they had to completely take out a wall, rebuild it and redo the doorway. And she was not sure on a couple of issues about that, but got the correct answers for us. The crew that came out did exceptional work and they did it as fast the time as they possibly could, which was only two days. Everything was back to exactly the way it needed to be when they were done and everything worked properly. So, I was happy.
I love the tub. I just wish the seat was lower into the tub. You sit up high, so it's hard to get water above chest level. The upper abdomen is about as high as you can get that water to go while you're seated. You can slide down in, but it's very uncomfortable on your legs to get that low and you're propping yourself up with your legs to do it. So, if the seated part was another just three or four inches lower, then you would be able to comfortably get underwater. I'm only five-foot-seven. If somebody six-foot bought that, even that wouldn't help. But that's the only thing for me. Everything else is perfect. I love it. I'm in it sometimes twice a day.
It does my lower back and my legs perfectly for me, even though I sit up a little higher. It still gets above my lower back and the jets do, and it works perfect for me. But people need to know what they want that tub to do for them before they jump into it. That way, if they're expecting something that they're not going to get, then that's going to create a headache because it's a permanent install. If they know what they want and will know what they expect this tub to do, I would recommend this tub.

I called Kohler and the guy came out and went around so fast. But with the money stuff, I couldn't deal with his price. That was when I saw American Standard and when I called them, the sales rep was very nice and a good talker. The bank helped me out with the payment and I got the tub. When it was installed, the guy put it in really quickly. He was very nice and it took him two days. I hate that the tub is for the elder people and they charge too much for it. But I'm enjoying it and if anyone is interested, I could show them mine. I've also told a few people about it.
