The installers did a good job. They started at 10:00 and was done by 3 o’clock. But my husband is not happy with the tub. It doesn't have enough room in it and our hot water heater isn’t big enough to fill it. Also, the space between the seat and the opening where the bottom is is really small.

By the time I met anybody from American Standard, my son had already talked to the rep and he liked what he saw. So, the guy came and showed me a short video. The installers came and did the job. They explained some of the things that they were doing and called me in there and let me see as they worked and finished it. I like that I can go in the walk-in tub and get out. I like how easy and quick it is. People should try American Standard. It works.

Mike, the rep from American Standard, talked to us about the tub and it was a positive experience. The installation went fine and took about three days. They said it was going to be two days but they had to do a minor work on a Thursday. I would recommend American Standard if someone asked me about it. They were very professional.

American Standard was the only one that came and sat down and talked with me and my wife. So, we decided to go with them. The installation went very smooth. They had a good number of people working at it. We had them take out a corner jacuzzi-type tub. It took up so much space in that bathroom. When they put the American Standard in there, it looked much better and it utilizes the space in the room better. It works good too. My wife enjoys it. She uses the tub more than I because she can't stand and shower.

The rep came and explained everything, and helped me understand the values of having a tub. The installers were very professional. They had to come through the back door and they were able to arrange it so they didn't have to do anything getting destroyed or mess up anything. My wife has been using the American Standard walk-in bath and she’s very excited about it.

The sales and installation was good. It was a one day operation. I like the quality of what I purchased. The only thing I'm concerned about is that the pan seems to be a little flexible. I wish it was firmer and had more packing underneath. Other than that, I'm happy.

The installers of my American Standard tub were efficient. They arrived at 8:30 in the morning, left at 4:30 in the afternoon, and everything was finished. I love my new tub. I particularly like the handheld shower.

The sales rep was a super guy. He knew everything about the tub. Every one of the installers also knew exactly what they were supposed to do, and they just did it. They designed it right on the spot, where, how and when to put the tub. I've never seen any better. I don't know how they got it in my house, but they did. A lot of the other ones said, "Well, I can't put it in there because your door is not wide enough." The American Standard tub is nice. We've got a lot of lymphedema in our legs and it really helps that. Plus, I have compression fractures in my back and it drives right on the spot.

I like the product. The rep knew what he was doing and was very accommodating. He had to come twice. We were getting a competitive bid, and I waited that day and told him I didn't want to just tell the other person not to come. I said, “You have to wait till later today,” and he came back the next day. The installation went seamlessly. I'm extremely pleased.

I got a walk-in tub from American Standard, and I like that I can get in and out of it. I got a bad leg and if I get out, I can't get up. The tub's wonderful. The only problem I have with it is my pump is far away from my house. I need to do something that would get me a little more water pressure. It takes a long time to fill up. It works good, it just takes about 20 minutes to fill it up. I like everything quick. As far as American Standard itself, they're the best. The who came to our home was really good and helpful. The installation team did a really good job and everything worked out fine.

I liked American Standard's price. I worked with a very thorough rep. He went over the product, the installation process, and the price. He did a really good job. The installers called me the night before to remind me that they were coming out. Then when they showed up, they were very professional. They were on time and they walked me through every single process as far as what type of equipment that I want. They brought me in at every stage of the installation process to update me on how the project’s going and what to look forward to. So they were very good, too. Now that I have the walk-in tub, it's easier for me to take showers. I really like it. Overall, American Standard has great products and great installation.

American Standard had more features that we needed. The rep was very knowledgeable. The installer was a crew that came in from Louisiana, and they were great. They came across a problem that had not been anticipated. When they took out the old shower unit, there was a lot of cement underneath. And they jackhammered that out and chiseled it out and did not charge me. It was a great group to work with. I love the walk-in tub. It has been a lifesaver. I like the convenience of it. All the other features are great, but it's being able to get my mother in a tub safely and out is everything.

The sales rep was very informative and helpful. Then, four guys came in for the installation and there was one guy I mainly dealt with. He explained everything to me as he started out and kept explaining things to me as they were doing it. I like the idea of getting the toilet with a bidet so they gave that with the deal. I also had a two-sink vanity in there. I asked them if they would mind taking the old one out and hooking that one up for me and they had to redirect some pipes and stuff to do that from water. They charged me a little bit extra for it but it kept me from having to hire somebody else to come out there and finish everything up.
The tub is put in exactly right. My son-in-law who is a contractor was impressed with it. And I like it. It's got plenty of jets and lights and drains a lot faster than I thought. It also has a handrail and two more hand bars that I can mount if I want to. I had to get a bigger hot water heater, though, and I had to pay extra for that. But it's a real good tub. I really like the therapeutic part and it makes me feel so much better. Also, the plus of not having to worry about stepping over in a bathtub and slipping down.

The sales associate from American Standard was very confident and very informative about the price and the quality of the shower. The installers were very professional. They did a very good job as far as finishing timely and informing me of things that they had done and needed done. The only issue is that not even a week or two after they left, my shelf and soap dish started falling off the shower. I haven't contacted them to fix it but it's good so far.
With this walk-in tub, it's so much easier to get in and out. I have my bar that I can hold on to and it's sturdy and safe. It has made the quality of living and using it better. So, I'm thankful for it. It was a great experience. I would recommend American Standard again. Everybody was super friendly, informative, very understanding, and flexible. I have nothing but the best to say about the people that they have working for them.

The sales rep of American Standard was very knowledgeable and he explained everything. We live out in the middle of nowhere and he was able to come out here. Some companies couldn't even get here. The installers were in here in less time than they said it would take and got it done and we were very happy with it. The only thing we have a problem with was, they were gonna email some manual but we never got it. But the tub is great. I have mobility problems and I couldn't get in a tub. Now, I can get in and get a shower.

The sales rep of American Standard was really nice. He came over and took a look at it and gave us a quote. We liked what we saw from the samples. Nick was the installer and he was also good. If we had an issue, he would try to take care of the issue. It took a couple of extra days to get it done. But we were happy with the results. The sliding glass doors, the shelves and the fixtures were included all in the price along with the others. I also like the fact that American Standard uses real tubs and not plastic tubs. It was done very nicely.

The rep knew what he was talking about. He was a good salesman and he answered questions. He was a lot of fun. The two installers took three days but that was because it was a strange installation due to the location in the bathroom. He asked me every step of the way, “Do you want to put this here? Do you want me to put this over here instead? Where do you want this?” I was very happy with them. I'm also very happy with my tub. But the hot water is sporadic. The hot water in every other faucet in my house is fine. Maybe there is a safety feature that makes it not get too hot. Other than that, everything is wonderful. It's not cheap but everything else was completely worth it.

What American Standard presented was logical. I got another bid, but with that company, that's not their primary thing to do. It was more of a primary thing for American Standard. The installation was perfect. They let you know exactly the time they'd be there. They stay in touch with you. The whole thing was immaculate. They do a beautiful job. It requires an awful lot of break out of construction including the doorway that had to be widened but they cleaned it up 100%. It took three days because mine was oversized. They had to be creative there and required more construction. My great grandson used it and he loves it. I asked if the water cooled off, which is always a complaint of walk-in tubs. He said, no, it didn't. Draining it out, it didn’t cool off and feel cold. I was glad to hear that from somebody else, not just me.

My experience with them was fine. The only complaint I have is that I got both a tub and a toilet but the toilet's automatic thing doesn't work right. The tech had trouble showing it to me that day and we thought it was just because he couldn't fit on the toilet to make it work.

The consultation was very good. We got the information and they were very compliant with what we needed. The installation went well except that the product that was sent to the installers wasn't the correct item that was in the contract and we didn't notice until it got put in. Getting the correct item took a month. Other than that, the quality was fine and the installers did what was expected. I was pleased with it. The seat that was installed with the tub is my favorite feature.

Their reps were very professional. The installers put in the new tub in two days. For the caulking, one of the three guys came back and made sure that was all done correctly. They did fantastically. They had to get everything level and going the right way and they did it. The bar that I hang onto when stepping in and out has been my favorite. It's excellent. It's so easy to get in and out of it.

The sales consultant was very friendly and informed, and the installation was really nice. The installers left the house cleaner than when they went in, and they were very friendly as well. The guy was very professional and he did what he was doing. He kept in contact with me almost daily until they put the tub in. The installers were super. I couldn't have asked for a better team than that. They were extremely professional. They came in, looked it over, figured out where the best place was for it to go, and then went right to work. They completed the installation really quick. I like the tub. It's helped me a lot, so far. I like the jets in it. They're in the right places when you're sitting in there. I got lymphedema pretty bad and it really helped a lot there.

I had a sales person, John, come over and he made the tub appear very wonderful. This walk-in tub was for my dad. He has several chronic illnesses. When the installers came, they never shared with me initially that there were potential issues with the drainage until the tub was installed. They came back in September, so therefore, there was this duration of time where my dad with whom John made him feel like this tub will better these conditions that he had. As far as the resolution of this whole issue with the walk-in tub and the drainage and issues, it dragged out until the latter part of November. The draining issues should have been shared with us before the tub was installed. It would have delayed their installation, but at least we would have gotten it addressed immediately.

The sales guy was very personable. He was more like a next door neighbor instead of somebody I'd never met before and he was trying to sell me something. He was excellent. I was very impressed with the installers. They cleaned up after themselves. It didn't take as long. We got a shower in one bathroom, and then the tub in another bathroom. So it took them a couple of days to finish up, but they were very nice. It was pretty expensive, but it'll do us the rest of our life. My daughter is enjoying it.

The installer worked all day and got my American Standard put in. He did a great job and showed us everything about it. It's of very good quality. I bought it for my husband who is disabled. He can go in it, sit down and take a shower. He doesn't have to fill the tub if he doesn't want to. He loves the shower that is on a grab bar. It's safer for him and that relaxes me more.

The sales rep answered a few questions along the way. He had memorized the thing that took him three hours to go through all the details. He explained that the tub is a walk-in tub and it takes 35 gallons to fill, and you need at least a 40-gallon water tank. We have a 50-gallon water tank, and the hot water starts to run out when it reaches your knees. Then you have to wait 15 minutes for the water to warm up so you can refill it. So he never mentioned that part. He should have said it doesn't really fill completely worth 40-gallon. So they should reassess that number.
The installation was pretty good, except we ran into a glitch so it took a while to fix. The gentleman that put it in said he had to get advice on it. It ended up being a clog in a line. So he freed the clog and it worked fine. The tub is a pretty good product. It's got more jets than any other brand, and it’s working well now.

I called American Standard and said that I was interested in the walk-in tub. Very shortly after, I got a phone call back and somebody set up a time. Then they set up a time for the meeting. The rep did a follow-up call with me, and then he came to the house. He brought materials and did measurements. He was excellent. Two guys showed up on time, and the installation was very quick and easy. They finished in one day. It was very painless. They cleaned up afterward. They were very nice guys. They were very polite and efficient. I was very pleased with all my dealings with the American Standard. My initial contact with the company through my contact with the sales and through installation was an excellent experience.

The sale rep did a good job of explaining the process, and he was very professional. The installation went good. It was a little longer than I expected, but the installers did a good job. But the finishing was a little rough. Some of the caulking was gooped up and it looked rough in places. It wasn't real bad. But it was not a completed job. They had to come back though and clean up some of their work. They worked for about 12 hours and then they had to quit. My wife and I saw a couple of places that didn't look right. Also, we had trouble with one of the lights and one of the jets. I didn't know how to work it. Since then, we've had a couple of other problems, but they've all been fixed.
As far as the operations of the tub, it seemed to work. We had the thing that controls the direction of the jets broke off and they said that was the problem from the factory. We enjoy using it and feel safe taking a bath now. Before, we couldn’t get up and down out of a low tub. But now, we can walk in and sit down. My wife really enjoys taking a bath now. She likes the jets on her back and legs. It makes her feel good.

American Standard's sales representative was very nice and informative. Also, the installers worked very hard long days and they had it done within two days. They did a beautiful job. The tub drains out quickly. But it takes a while to fill up, and the installer recommended that at some point, we should get a bigger one. Also, it's hard to get used to going in the door and making sure the doors closed behind you. I'm still getting used to it. Otherwise, everything's fine.

I like that American Standard is made in this country. Their rep also did a good job and answered all my questions. The installation was all good. They had to come back another time and put up something that hadn't come with the shower or with the tub like it was supposed to. But they came and installed that, too. Everything's fine.

I like the controls, the water temperature and flow control, and the grab bars in my American Standard tub. I've had a lot of people who would come and always give a rosy picture of what they're gonna do, and then didn't do it, but American Standard did everything they said they were gonna do. I chose American Standard because it's a well-known brand. Their sales rep was very knowledgeable and he explained things very well. He was also very agreeable to leave the room for a while so my wife and I could talk about the purchase in private. He was very good. The installers showed up right on time and they had everything they needed. They went to work and they hardly interfered with our lives. They put in a good eight hours and they didn't slack off. That went very well.
We're thrilled with our walk-in tub. My wife and I absolutely love it. It was the right thing to do. The main thing is we can step into the tub. The grab bars are nice too because we're not 25 anymore. All in all, we like all the features and they seem to be of very good quality. American Standard has made our taking showers easier and safer.

The sales rep was able to meet me at my mom's location to help us go over the things. It was very beneficial that he was able to relocate to accommodate us. The installation crew was a good team. The old tub had to be removed. They got it out and set it on the side of the house for us because we can take that material and turn it in for cash ourselves. My mom likes the American Standard walk-in tub. The only problem is she doesn't want to do it by herself. She's confused on which way to turn the knob. She has sprayed herself in the face once. But it is definitely worth her time because she was having trouble getting in and out of the old tub. She was shocked by the price though. Originally, when the sales rep and I were discussing the best benefits for my mom, it was a bit more pricey but he helped me get it down to a more reasonable price.

We've had a very good experience with American Standard. The only thing that was not told to us was the size of hot water heater we need. The hot water heater that we have now doesn't give us enough hot water to completely fill the tub up. I don't know which size of hot water heater I need to buy.

The tub is great while it's working but if you need service that's the pits. My tub developed a leak in early September of 2022 and I called for repair immediately. Long story short here it is December 19 of 2022 and I still can't use the tub. I have called and called and no one will return my calls. Great tub but lousy service.

We've got a good product from American Standard as far as the commodes were concerned, so we had them to come out for a walk-in tub. The rep did an excellent job presenting. We had one little problem during the installation however. Something was broke. It wasn't anything that the installer could do about it except turn it in and have them to send out a new one. About three days after that, it came in. The installer came right back and put it on, and everything worked. The lights and the jets are a little hard to turn on, but I manage it. I've used the tub several times and enjoyed it every time. It does a good job. If you got a sore body and feel you got tired muscles, it's good for that. You can sit down while you bathe. My wife enjoys the tub too.

I love our walk-in. I love being able to go in, sit in it and play with the buttons. We are very impressed. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

The reps who did the installation were very respectful and polite. But we can't get any hot water to our walk-in bath and I can't put my severely disabled son in there in cold water. It takes just a few seconds for the hot water to run out. It starts getting hot and then, it goes back to cold. We have next to the biggest unit for instant heat and it never gave us any trouble before with the walk-in shower that we had. American Standard had a man come out and he worked a little while but he left us stranded. He said the whole house needs to be repiped. We paid him $9,000 and they're not through with it.

When my wife called American Standard, they answered right back. After they called me, I called them and they said they would meet me in five days. They moved on it quickly. The rep was knowledgeable in what he was talking about. The installers cleaned everything and did a wonderful job. I like the tub. My wife will like it too. We had to amputate one leg and we're waiting for it to heal and get her the prosthetic leg. When she gets that, it'll be easier for her to get in.

Every time I take a shower in the tub, the plastic shower curtain does not come down far enough. Water is all over the floor. I gotta put towels on the floor before I can even get in and out of the shower. We're very dissatisfied with this product. I thought the tub, with the sides, the bubbles and the jets, would help my wife. I agreed to this $20,000 that we're paying for. When she got stuck in the tub and couldn't get out, luckily, I had a pump. If I hadn't had a pump, I'd have to bucket it. She tried calling Monday trying to reach somebody but couldn't reach anybody. We had to threaten to call the Better Business Bureau or call our lawyer to get a response. When we got a response, the lady didn't give us a good answer. She said, "You must not be flicking the switch right." I'm not stupid. I know what the panel looks like. I turned it on and off and it still didn't work.
About three days later, she called and said someone would be out here to take a look at it. That was almost two weeks ago. Whoever's supposed to come back and make this thing right still has not come yet. We couldn't use the tub and they were telling me I have no alternative. I don't have any rights. It might not have been in the contract that they will replace the tub if we had a problem with it, but it didn't say anything that we wouldn't have any choices if it malfunctioned. We don't have any recourse. I don't like that I'm waiting on this person to come out here. They need to compensate me or come get this tub out of here. American Standard is one of the top companies in this country and they should not treat people that way. I'm not satisfied with the way they treated us at all.

The guys that came out did a good job. They always cleaned up after themselves. I was impressed with that. The water jets didn't work though. They had to order a part that was on backorder. I'm still waiting for it. But I've used the tub without those and I like it.

The American Standard rep did a good job. I had a question right off the top of my head. And he called me back. I was amazed that he did, because a lot of times, you deal with people and they don't return your calls or it's not the right number. But he was. The installation team told us around what time they would be here. It was a morning. They were very careful and clean.
When you get people to come in, maybe work on something, they just open the door and walk in. They don't think about what your floors look like. It was amazing how they laid everything down. And when they carried things in, they were very careful. They were also polite. I have dealt with people before that have come in and just want to get it done and get out. But they cared about us. And they enjoyed their job too. My son loves to take his bath in the tub. Sometimes moms get busy and they get caught up in everything else. So, it made it a bit easier. We enjoy it.

Ordered a walkin tub/shower for my disabled wife.... Paid the almost $2k deposit. Unfortunately my wife died before installation and American Standard people refused to refund my deposit. A Tad ** refused the refund and claimed to be giving me a "break" by not enforcing the contract we had signed. Legally I have no recourse, but to warn all of you about these people. Do not walk, but run away from these people.

The salesman was very knowledgeable and gave us exactly what we wanted at the price we were looking at. He walked us through and even showed us a video on how to operate the tub. The installation wasn't easy. The techs had to run some electrical lines but they did it very professionally. The tub helps out a lot with arthritis. It has everything we need. The buttons that turn on the jet and the bubbles are hard to operate. But other than that, it works pretty well.

The sales rep was awesome and the installation of the walk-in and shower was so quick. The installers were on time and they did everything like you expect the job to be done. They cleaned up too. Everybody's over the moon with the quality of work done. I have people I ain't heard of just showing up at my house and taking a peek at it. My mom has been very pleased as well. She can do everything herself because of the way they installed the shower thing in the middle so she can just reach off the seat and grab that thing and rinse herself off. The only problem I have is adjusting the temperature on it. She said the water's coming up too hot because she doesn't know how to adjust the thing. The tech showed me how and I did it and it was good. But now, I don't know how to make the water cool. Other than that, it's comfortable for my mom. Getting in and out is easy. It's set up perfectly.

I had a very good experience with the rep. But the door was not measured correctly so we had to get it taken out to get the tub in. Also, getting the tub around a corner to get it into the bathroom wasn't measured so the wall had to be cut. Other than that, we are enjoying the new tub. It's very easy to get in and get out and not feel in danger. The issue is that when I get in, I have to play with the water to keep it warm because it's not warm enough. But I deal with that.

The rep seemed nice. I tried them out and I was happy with my end results. We had a couple of weeks where after they said the installers were gonna be there, they never came or called to make an appointment. Also, it took a while for them to get the tub in because my bathroom had an original shower tub unit in it. It took five days for two men though and the money I paid was a little bit much too. Other than that, the quality of work was good and I'm satisfied.

The rep, Raymond, came out and explained everything that was going to happen, what it is and what I would get, and that's exactly the way it happened. American Standard came in, got it done quickly, and everything's working fine. I'm not disappointed. From the time Raymond came in till the time the tub was installed and ready to be used was five days. It's nice that the factory is just about less than 100 miles away. That helped.

For about 40 years, I've had thousands of American Standard appliances from commodes, sinks, urinals, and all kinds of stuff. I know from personal experience that American Standard was not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. And with everything I ever put in there, I never had any trouble. I’m satisfied with them for 42 years. So, I know their stuff is pretty good.
I just got a new product and the sales representative that came out was a very knowledgeable and very nice-spoken guy. The installers drove up here every day. It’s about a two-and-a-half-hour drive up and two and a half hours back. They worked nonstop for three days. They worked Monday and Tuesday and when they left here Wednesday night, it was after midnight when they got done.
The tub is in. It's been a blessing to me because I'm old. I can no longer get in and out of that 16-inch tall tub. The salesman came and talked to me, but he wouldn't even talk about a tub. He said, "You don't need a tub. You don't need sliding glass doors." I said, “Okay.” We have a curtain. We have a 4-inch base, and it's set in a concrete mold. They tore the floor completely out because there were trusses and they put down a three quarter-inch plywood on the floor and poured the concrete. They put some more wood in there for bracing all that plywood. They did a tremendous job. I didn't get it in there and watch too much because it's kind of crowded in my bathroom.
The shower itself has a rainfall showerhead with three settings on it. It can either be a fine mist, a medium mist or a hard stream. Also, the shower stall has handrails all through it on both ends and across the back. It has a bench in it. On the bench side, there's a handheld wand with a five-foot cord on it that my wife loves because she doesn't take showers. She can't stand how water hit her in the face. So, she uses that little wand thing and loves it. It was an expensive adventure, but it's been worth it. It's hard for an old man to get in and out of a bathtub. I can get right in that shower and just stand there and shower. I have long hair and it washes my hair really easily and all that stuff goes along with it.

The guy from American Standard that came was very professional and thorough. He seemed to know what he was doing. He communicated well. Everything went well up until the point when the team had stripped the old stuff out. And they saw a termite condition and had to stop what they were doing until I could get that corrected. I had everything treated and cleared up in four days, and they had to put me back in their schedule. So, the total time that they were away was somewhere just under a week. The total finished product is very satisfactory.

Working with American Standard was great. The guy came in and explained everything, and measured everything. There was communication there between the installers and the salesman. I was supposed to have furniture moved. I said, “No, you're supposed to bring it through.” I had a door on the bathroom from the outside. He said he had to call his manager. Then he finally got it the way it was supposed to go, and then they got it installed. They installed it in one day, which I thought was great. I love the new tub. The jets are relaxing. Th tub's been great, and I really enjoy it.

I felt that American Standard was the best one to go with. They're a little bit pricey, but I felt it was worth the money. I was pleased with the service. The installers did an excellent job. It took longer than they thought, but they were willing to stay until it was done, even though they went a day extra. They had come from a long distance. I understand the workforce these days is a little short in places, but they spent another night in order to get it done.
We're pleased and satisfied with the new tub. It's enough to do what we want it to do. My wife was struggling to get in and out of the tub, and this new one has made her life a lot easier. It's made mine a lot easier too, because before she tends to skip baths. Now, she's bathed as much as she should be. The biggest issue I would probably have is I don't really feel instructions were really left. I wish I had more instruction.

I heard good things about American Standard and gave it a try. Their sales rep showed me the different things that their product would do and explained that. The installer did a good job too. I really like the tub but I wish I had not gotten the bidet thing. I don’t particularly care about that and the big wire thing is sticking around the backup. That aside, I like the bubbles and I love being able to have the handheld thing that I can use the way I want rather than just a single shower. I recommend American Standard.

The sales rep was absolutely wonderful. He checked in with us and was always there when I needed to call him. He made a smooth adjustment for us. The installers were a 9 out of 10 too. They were finished, but American Standard didn't see the order for the shower and curtain. I just received that a couple of days ago, so they're going to come and install that. I told the guy there was no rush, but he was right on it and said he'll be here today or tomorrow, which would be fine. I would definitely recommend them.

I had a salesman come to the house, and I had a number of specific questions because I have an older home. It's two stories, and I was concerned because I know that quite often the salesman knows absolutely nothing about installation. I asked him point blank if he had ever done any installation, and he told me, “Oh, yes. I was an installer for years. I got too old to do that. And now, I’m selling the product.” I said, “Okay.” I assumed that he knew what he was talking about and he wasn't bald-faced lying.
The installers got there and looked things over and realized that there were numerous problems, both physical and electrical problems, and they couldn't do the job. So, I had, first, the salesman then someone from the company, a manager, call me and try and sell me some other products that I don't need, like a walk-in shower, because I have a walk-in shower, and a soaking tub, which defeats the purpose because the water doesn't stay hot and nobody wants to soak in tepid water.
The last time I spoke to him, I had someone coming to the house. They arrived, and I had to cut the conversation short. He told me that he would not be in until Monday. This was last Thursday. Today is a Wednesday, and I still haven't heard anything from him. Overall, my experience was terrible, and I will do everything I can to let people know that this is what to expect. I received nothing from American Standard, including a refund on my deposit, and as soon as I get near a computer, I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

My experience with American Standard was good. They came when they called and when they said they were going to come. The guy broke the toilet, so he came the next day and put in another toilet, but there was something weird about it. It kept making some noise and it was wiggling around. Finally, I figured out after about three weeks that the toilet wasn't bolted down right. I called American Standard about three times, and it took them a few days to get back to me. They had a guy come out and bolt it down. Also, I can't lay down in the tub, which I thought I would be able to. Other than that, I like the tub, including the air bubbles and jets.

The sales rep, Vicki, was very professional. We had several people come out to the house, and she gave us several options whereas other people didn't give us a choice. So I was very happy with her in that way. However, there was a problem with our product because we ordered the bigger tub, the 60-inch, because I'm very tall, and she did not know it did not come with an outswing door. We went out of town, and American Standard gave us the first available schedule as soon as we got back. That was very timely. They're installing right now.

The sales rep was very informative and worked with us on the price. She gave us the best price of the three people that we quoted. The installers were very good too. Before the guy left, he gave us a review of the tub. One thing I did not know about the tub, it's got speakers in it. It’s got Bluetooth and I can hook it up to my phone. The other thing that we like coming out of it too is the way we access the tub. The door goes inward, so we can step into it. The other ones didn't have a cut-out to where we could get in. I like the door on this a lot better.

All my bathroom stuff from since I was a kid was American Standard. I needed a walk-in tub, and I went to American Standard. I could have gone anywhere but I trusted them because I know how old the company is. This is a big company in the United States. I thought I was going to the tops but it was a big mistake on my part. A salesman came to the house, and he was a very nice, young fellow. We talked about what I wanted and what I needed. The total was over $20,000, which is a lot of money for me. I had to take a loan on the house for that because I have to take care of my wife. He called me at one point and said it was all set up and he said, “You’re gonna get $500 back.” They were giving away a free bidet with a walk-in tub and a shower. I said, “No, I don't want that. Give me something else.” So, that’ll be $500 back, but I’ve never seen a check yet.
I asked what was happening with the installation. They sent a crew. They're only freelance people that they hire. It's not an official company people that came to install. We live in New Jersey. They're based in Texas and a couple of other places, and one guy could hardly speak English, which doesn't bother me. The other guy was wise. When we went over the house with the salesperson, he said, “Well, we're gonna have to take the door jambs off a lot of the doors to get through.” I live in a one-level house in a senior community. They took off the door jambs, and they made a horrible mess of it, which needs repair. Then when they came to try and fix what they left behind, all they used was some waterproofing material and it dries up. They made a total mess of my house.
When they used the instruments to take out the door jamb, it was not easy because it was all nailed to the side door. They broke some of them and they broke some of the plasterboards that it was on, and they just went away. They just used this crap in there, and nothing was sanded or made neat. I left them alone to work. I walked in and the guy that didn't speak English installed the bidet, and I said, “Why did you do that? You're not supposed to do that. Oh, take it out.” They ruined my wallpaper because he had a screw. He drilled holes into my wallpaper in the bathroom. It was beautiful and we keep it looking good.

American Standard was the best one among the companies we looked at. Their salesman, Dennis, was super and he presented everything really well. We were sold on the product. During the installation, my wife wasn't happy about the way they left some of the material where it was sort of dark on the edges. They were also supposed to put a drop shelf behind the tub and underneath the window. They did not do that and we called and told them. Also, my wife said the jets are not as strong as the walk-in tub that her friend had. Other than that, the product works well.

The sales rep was excellent. He went into detail. This was quite an investment, and we had a lot of questions, but he knew the product to the point where it was able to be understood. The tub is installed, and looking at things yesterday, I'm assuming the plumbing has been done. They're here today doing the electrical hookup. They're running an electrical wire from the circuit breaker to the step-in tub this morning.
I was very satisfied with American Standard. We purchased the product based on my daughter and my wife using it. My wife works from home, and she has some difficulties with her back. Just looking at the videos and listening to the commercial, we're hopeful that it's gonna do some things to improve her back. It's probably not feasible unless it was a new install and new construction, but if American Standard was to improve the tub, they could come up with a model that the user could stretch their feet out a little and lean back while keeping the same length of it, if it could be longer in a new construction. I know it's almost impossible in a house that's already built. Still, the tub has a lot of good bells and whistles.

When the representative got here, he was very, very thorough. He spent about three hours going over everything, all the way down to the hardware, which is unheard of. It was very impressive. He didn't assume that I knew anything or that he needed to leave out anything. He was very well-trained. The two gentlemen that came for the installation took charge of what they had to do. I only had to show them where the electrical box was so that they can make sure that the current was coming through the way it was supposed to and identify the main current. Once they did that, they pretty much had it all under control. They did a good job. They cleaned up like they were supposed to. Everything was sealed the way it was supposed to be. They put things back in place as if they were always there.
I tell my friends that I have the Cadillac of tubs. It is huge. My husband hasn't used it yet because he's a little intimidated by it. The jets are a little underwhelming. I have sciatica and I was expecting for the power to be a little stronger. But for what they told me I would be getting, American Standard gave me everything they promised.

The salesman came by and gave me a good deal. He knew the product and everything he said was true. On the install day, the guy came out, did what he was supposed to do, and left. He didn't waste any time and showed us how to work the tub. He filled it up with water and said it'd be 24 hours before we could use it. Then after 24 hours, we let it out and everything worked perfectly. Our tub has the air, the blower, and everything on it that he said would work on it. I take a bath in it every night and I like it because it relaxes me.

The installation was good. But the tech blew out my water pump to my well and I had to have that replaced before they could finish. That was another $1,500 on top of everything else. This tub was a $20,000 mistake that I'm gonna have to correct. I can't stand up and take a shower in it. The step down from the walk-in tub itself is dangerous. If you're elderly, it's much too high and I have to sit there for 20 minutes while the thing fills up. It's useless to both my wife and I. I'm not happy with it. I'm gonna have it torn out.

What was originally supposed to be three days installation turned out to be four days because they made a bit of an error on the floor. They had to knock out a wall, take down my old shower stall, and put a little bigger tub in there. They didn't realize that they were supposed to leave the floor there because it was on the outside of where the tub was going to be. They took up part of my tile floor. I had to go out and get some new tiles. You can't match them anymore because there's no wall. I had to get something as close to it as I could get, which I did, but it took a little longer. Instead of ending on a Friday, it ended on a Saturday. But they were very good. Their boss came a couple of times to see how they would go on and what they were doing. I spoke to him about different things. The crew didn't speak English very well but seemed to know what they were doing. They had no problems getting it in. They took their time and did it right.
My wife and I enjoy our American Standard tub. It's a little uncomfortable to stand in there and shower because it's a smaller space than a regular shower stall, but it's 1,000% better than we had before. The only thing is it came with a bidet but the bidet doesn’t seem to be working the way it should.

The guy came out and gave us an estimate. He was really professional about it. They said, “Now, it could take a month to get everything lined up, get everything made. And we'll come out and put it in.” We said, “Okay, we can hang in there that long.” But within two weeks, they were calling and saying, “We have your shower unit. When can we come put it in?” That really floored us that it came around that quick. The guy that did the installation was really great and he answered our questions. He was very efficient in what he did and cleaned up after himself. It took part of the second day to get it in but it all went really well. We love it. It’s great. My mother-in-law can get in and sit down, and use the handheld and take her own shower. So the whole experience was good. It's a very good product. From initial contact to the installation, it was great. The service was awesome. All the people that we’ve talked to and worked with were very courteous and kind.

American Standard was excellent. They came to my house and explained everything to me, except for they were telling me about the little seat that goes into the shower, that was too big. Our shower is not that big. But having the walk-in tub is a lot safer because they got the bars now.

We were going to get the price from American Standard versus others, but American Standard's sales rep came in and she knew everything quite well. She did such a good job, we just signed the contract right then. The young man did a good job with installation too. We've got one thing that he's going to do for us, but he's busy right now and I understand that. He'll be back. My wife uses the tub and she's plenty happy with it. As long as I can keep her happy, that's good news. The only thing bad about the whole thing is I have to pay for it.

The workmen were very professional and they did a good job. They found a problem with the tub and they had a solution. They asked me what I thought and I agreed with one of the suggestions. I would recommend the product and the workmen that came in. I like that I can step in easily in the tub. You don't slip on the floor of it and it's easy to regulate the heat on the water.

We like the tub. The installers did a fabulous job. They were in and out and they were clean. But it bothers me a little bit that there's a rod where the door is and the water seeps out. It's something that I can fix by simply caulking. Other than that, I had no disappointment with the tub. We had the seat installed in the tub and it was a teak seat. I’m 80 years old and if I should happen to fall and hit the metal brackets that are holding that seat on the wall, I would probably get hurt seriously. So American Standard should look into that because it is a very severe hazard.

The customer service has been awful. I am 86, and I'm having trouble. They came out one time, early in time about the tub. That was my fault because I was not closing the door properly because the book says, “Do not put a lot of pressure on the door,” which was what I was doing. I flooded my bathroom. The guy came back out after that, took a look and said everything was okay and taught me how to do it. I also have a lot of film and brown flaky stuff in my tub and I'm not sure what the problem is. It could be my water heater. I'm gonna have to pay $500 or more to get my water heater taken care of. I haven't heard any more about it whether or not they were going to tell me, “Okay, we know what it is, we can fix it, or we don't know what it is and we're not going to fix it.”
I have been very unhappy with American Standard, and I had such faith in them. I didn't know anything with the other company, but I knew American Standard would take care of me and do what they were supposed to. They got my tub in one day, then the next day, I had to go to the hospital with my UTI problems and get shots. I wanted to use my tub, but I can't because I have infections. It's heartbreaking to not be able to use it. Also, everybody wants to see it, and it's gorgeous, but I can't until I can get that brown water taken care of.

The installer was great. He did the installation all by himself. He did a really good job. We love the tub. I like the handheld and where you can do both, have a shower or do the handheld. The room in it is nice. There's a lot of room. It’s nice for the older ones. They like the chair in it. So that works out good. I like the fact that the tub doesn't have rust in there too

The sales rep of American Standard was very good. She explained everything to me. She gave me a discount because my husband's in the service. I'm very happy with my walk-in tub. They installed it in one day. They were kind. They always were thoughtful about what I was doing and where I am, where I could be, so I wouldn't get in their way. I had surgery on my knee. With the massaging, it is wonderful. When I get out, I’m walking better. It's really good. It also has a lifetime guarantee. I use it once a week and it's very relaxing. The only thing is, you gotta wait for the tub to fill up. But they gave me some stuff to put in to make it smell good. The lights come on and change. It's nice.

American Standard did an excellent job. We looked at American Standard. We liked the toilets and we knew they're the best on market instead of getting Kohler. We went to Home Depot and we wanted to get one of the tubs. One day I was poking around online to get more information first about them, and five minutes later, they called me up and asked if I wanted to set up just a home visit. It was on a Saturday I called and they came on that following Monday. They had guys come here and tell us all about it. It was really quick. They called Sunday to remind me that they were coming and everything was updated really well. Our communication was really good. I was really surprised. Usually, they don't call you back right away and this was on a weekend.
Everything was top-notch with the sales rep who came. He told us everything and he showed us pictures and a video. That went really well, too. The product was kind of pricey, but I went for it because they install it and they do the electrical and everything. I was like, "If we had to do it ourselves, it'll probably take a long time to do it." They did it in a matter of one day. My sister-in-law came here one day, and she was really amazed. She said that they had just a tub put in and it took a whole week for someone to do that.

The sales rep was extremely nice. She was a friend when she walked in the door. She was real knowledgeable about the product and she was telling me the truth about everything that I asked her. The installer called me and told me what time they'd be here that morning and they got here within five minutes of him calling. They came in, started doing their job, and it was done on that day. They were real professional and they did an extremely nice job. I like going in the tub and sitting down and having those controls. I have arthritis real bad in my hip and it's great for that. It makes me feel a lot better.

The salesman was so thorough and gave us examples of other installs and different name brands. He seemed to work for at least one of them in the past. So the way he told us was a little bit enlightening. I trusted him and took his word for it and it paid off pretty well. The installation was straightforward. The only thing we messed up on was the money part of it. I agreed to pay for it on time and they headed down as I was gonna pay for it in full. So, we had to do some really quick paperwork in the morning before they got started. But after that little glitch, the install went perfect. I did quite a bit of the work ahead of time for them as far as the main construction-type stuff. It was pretty much a complete rehab of the bathroom. Everything went flawless and real quick. They were done in about six hours. The two guys that were here were very informal. They were very helpful and kind.
The hydrotherapy and the aromatherapy of the tub added quite a bit of joy. If either my wife or I take a bath, you can smell the aromatherapy pretty much the third of the house. It's really nice and clean aroma. We have a 107-year old house that we built and putting a hydrotherapy pool in 107-year old house was a little bit of a trick. But we got it accomplished and it's quite an upgrade to an old house. My wife and I are in quite a bit of pain. So we're real thankful for the tub. It helps out immensely.

Our salesperson was very knowledgeable. She didn't just sell the tub, she also helped me think about the whole bathroom. She was really very helpful even afterward in communicating with the installer. One person came for the installation of the tub and that took three days. He was very condescending but in general, he did very nice work. A second person came for the electrical part. These people showed how everything worked. The only thing was the place wasn’t that clean after they left.
The tub is fine and my mother loves it. It's nice that American Standard has that smaller tub instead of just one size. But there are a couple of things that might use some feedback. One is that the drain keeps closing smaller and smaller so that it doesn't stay up. It keeps sagging lower and lower. It's getting harder to have it stay up when you want the water to drain manually. You have to keep holding the lever up to make the water drain.
I asked the installer to come back because he said, “When you have a problem just call me instead of the customer service number.” He came, looked at it, and said he already did what he could. That was just how it is. But it doesn't have to be. It has to be better than that if you pay $22,000 for something. I bought this non-slip mat and the installer insisted that it was the mat that was causing the problem. He kept arguing with me so I gave up. He said I was wasting his time.
Also, the reason I asked him to come was because when I opened up the aromatic thing, the rest of the thing fell into the inside of the tub where the pipes are. I didn't know how that was supposed to stay on the tub so I asked him. The only other thing about the tub is the floor could be more nonslip because my mother slipped the first time she stepped in.

The American Standard tub was exceptional and was over and above the other tubs I was researching. It had more jets to it and it released the water in a timely manner. In a couple of minutes, water can be drained out of the tub and that was very important. Those were the two reasons I chose this brand. Their sales agent was excellent. He explained everything in detail such as exactly how the tub operated and the exceptional features of the tub. I like the jets, the access door, and the drainage system.
The installers that came were very efficient. They knew exactly what they were doing and they explained how to operate the tub before they left and the whole bath. They made sure that we were satisfied with everything and it was a very pleasant experience. The quality of their work was very good. American Standard is an excellent company that follows through on their schedule and they take pride in their work.

We had been investigating getting a walk-in tub and I know American Standard's reputation. We made an appointment and a salesman came. He explained everything to us. We are happy not just with the service from the salesman, but with everything involving the American Standard tub. The technicians that installed it were wonderful and professional. They did an immaculate work. They hooked into our power panel. They told me that they might have to make a hole in my ceiling to run one of the wires down. You can't even tell where they made the hole because they not only made it very neatly, they also did the spackling and you can't even see it. They laid down drop cloths and they took their shoes off.
They explained everything to me before they finished the installation. After the installer went through and showed me how everything worked, I went through it and showed him how everything works. He was very confident that I knew what I was doing in it. If I had any questions, they were right there with the answers for me. I had follow-ups several times from American Standard asking if everything was working okay and if I'm satisfied with how everything is working. This walk-in tub is safer and it's a huge relief to me. My doctor said that it's definitely shown an improvement in how my back feels. It's a little bit easier to work on my back. American Standard has my deepest heartfelt recommendations.

The rep came to our home from an out-of-town area. The experience was pleasant. The installers were a crew of five individuals. And each one had his task down perfectly. They went in and out with no problem at all, and no more than just normal disruption. My wife and I use the tub daily. We like that we have two different shower heads. We're very happy.

American Standard's rep told us all of the good things about their product and that it has 44 ducts. He went through it thoroughly and it sounded like it was the best and that everything is guaranteed. That was nice to know. We got a tub with a shower attachment that’s on it. I like the convenience of it. The person who put it in was very cordial. He did a great job and always cleaned up after himself. Everything was fine.

Had my tub three weeks and diverter went bad, replaced after a two-week wait. Contacted company about the installation of the shower and tub were done crosswise as the hot water lever is ready to scrape against the shower. Looked at picture in pamphlet and sure enough, it is wrong. Emailed company and heard nothing. I am hard of hearing so it is hard for me to use a phone. No email as I left it with them.

The American Standard walk-in bath works great and I like it because you can sit down and you got the handheld shower and different types of massage. I like the rain head too and my wife loves it. The sales rep from American Standard was thorough on how they would go about the installation and how long it would take, and went over the product well. It was easy to understand and it was the lifetime warranty that got me that some of the other ones don't offer. On the installation day, the guy showed up here at about 7:00 am. He proceeded to look everything over and figured out a better way of getting it in and installed. He set up his game plan and went to work right away. The guy was full of energy and didn’t stop moving all day. He tried his best to get it wrapped up that day. He had another call that came in that he had to go see somebody on a service. So, he left but came back the next day, and it was the same thing. He was doing everything he could to get it in and the quality of the work seemed to be excellent. He had a good attitude and got the job done.
We probably could have gotten by without the tub but we figured we weren’t getting any younger and as long as there was a lifetime warranty, we would get it. I like the tub being able to have plenty enough hot water that it stays hot and continues to stay hot. So, if you just want to do a nice soak and be there for 45 minutes, that tub isn’t gonna cool down. It keeps that temperature. We definitely were due for a remodel. So, we’ve enjoyed it so far and we’ll enjoy it in the time to come.

My wife decided on an American Standard. The installation went expeditiously. The salesman said it would take two days but they did it in one. It's a sit down tub and my wife's happy with it. The only thing she doesn't like is we asked for an outward swinging door and they ended up bringing an inward swinging door. Other than that, everything was fine.

Five years ago, my husband had a salesman from American Standard come to our farm and he gave us a pitch. We learned about the product at that point but we didn't go ahead with the purchase. Our health was still good and we were in our 60s. Our health is less robust because now that we're in our 70s. We looked at some other products through Lowe's and the American Standard product still looked like the best option. We went ahead and made that purchase.
The first sales representative five years ago was not good. He didn't do any measurements. We live in an old farmhouse so the doors are narrower and the bathroom was very small. He didn't look at the electrical panel either. He told me that he would order the tub and the rest of it was the installers’ problem. Having spent 25 years of my career in commercial real estate, that didn't really work for me. I was not comfortable with that expense of a purchase without having more attention to detail.
The lady who came out this time around was awesome. She did the measurements, checked the panels, and took a picture of the panel. She did the pre-work for the installer so that they knew what they were looking at. The gentleman who was sending out the installers called me personally to ask me about the ingress and egress of the driveway since he was out in the country and he was bringing a big truck. We're on a country road and I sent him photos of how to get in and out. It was pretty easy and the attention to detail this time was stellar.
The installers did a very nice job. I watched because I like construction and it was interesting. The only thing I had a question about later was the GFI breaker to the toilet, which is backed up by the GFI that's on the other wall. That's all interconnected with the tub. I understood that electrical schematic. Everything's operating the way it's supposed to. It's a blessing to have it right now because my husband just got out of the hospital. They told him in the hospital that he could use his tub to shower since he had to sit down and he wouldn't fall. He has a handheld sprayer and just not use the bathtub feature. It’s all great.
My husband weighs about 240 pounds so he displaces more water than I do. I weigh about 178 pounds. It takes longer and more hot water to fill the tub up for me. Other than that, I'm good and I like the tub. Initially, the hot water heater was set at 120 and I was running out of hot water when I was just getting the water to the seat. But I turned the hot water heater up to 125. I can still have hot water and get it up to where I can run the bubbles.
Everybody has bathed in a certain fashion for us for 70 years. When the American Standard product comes along, it's a different style of bathing. You’ve just got a lot more options and your space is different. You have to learn how to work within the space provided and use the different options. Once you figure out how it works best for you because everybody does it differently. My husband's just as pleased as he can be. That is great because he has vertigo. Standing in our old bathtub shower was dangerous. Having American Standard was certainly a lot cheaper than going to the hospital with a serious head injury. He goes in, sits down, and he's happy taking his shower or his bath. Most of the time, we just shower.

We needed something that was large enough to accommodate and that wasn't a fly-by-night organization. We had a wonderful experience with American Standard all the way around. Our sales guy took the time to walk us through the process and really take a look at the area, what requirements we would have, what limitations he saw if any, and any additional accommodations we might need to make or consider. He was fantastic. The same can be said about the installer. Everybody's using the tub. My 35-year-old son came over to our house. He is 6'4 and he went, "I fit in this tub. I'm taking a bath."

I've been having bad sciatica and leg issues. To step into my tub was really high so I needed something different. It was throwing out my back and I couldn't believe how tall it was. I got an American Standard walk-in tub and customer service was very nice. The delivery was very good. I'm still getting used to my tub but I do get a little bit of relief.

The guy who sold us the walk-in tub was very knowledgeable and polite. He explained everything to me. The price is kind of high on the tub but I really like the lifetime warranty and that it's made in the USA. When it was installed, the installer was Derek and he was very good. I have a very narrow door for the entrance into my bathroom and in the coat closet in the living room, there’s a panel you can take out and it accesses the plumbing for the tub and shower that were there. So, we had to take the door frame off and the tub fit through, but it was quite an ordeal. The young man that helped Derek was also very good and they did an excellent job.
I have arthritis in my knees and my hips, and when it gets to acting up, that tub is an amazing thing. It's very soothing to get in the tub and it helps with the arthritis. It's also easy to keep clean. It has the massage feature but I don't use that every day because it takes so much water. One time, I decided tohave a bubble bath. I had some Calgon bubble bath and the Calgon says to use two capfuls. I used one then I proceeded to run the jets. I had bubbles going up the wall, so I don’t use bubbles anymore.

The salesman had a terrific personality. He measured everything and we went over everything. He said, “I'll be back during the installation and when it's finished.” When everything was done, the installer showed us everything. They did a terrific job putting it in. I like the work. We were finishing out our final payment, and we got to talking about everything. I said, “The salesman didn't show up.” He said, “He won't. I've been doing this for a long time. I’ve never seen one of them show up at the end.”
We love everything about the tub. I like the safety features. I also like the easiness of getting in and out. I had a tub that was deep and I could barely get in and out of it. With the walk-in, I like the fold-down seat. I've got neuropathy from taking chemo and my wife and I are both 70 years old. Because of my neuropathy, my duration of standing is not that great. The only thing I had was I talked to a fella from Texas about one of the installers that had gotten some of the plastic cement on one of our curtains in our rec room. We had conversed about trying to clean it with something, but we were leery. We didn’t want to make matters worse. I was hanging in there till he called me and told me how much that could change it or totally ruin the curtain.

I love my walk-in tub from American Standard. At first, we had to put it on hold and we had to make up for another time. Then, when the reps were supposed to come, they didn’t. They said they called but I didn’t get any message from them. But when they finally came, they were here on time and did a good job on it. They had to cut my door a little bit wider so we could get it in and they put another door in. They did what they had to do. They had three guys working on it and they would have been able to get it done in one day if they didn't have to get a pipe. But the next day, they came and finished it all.

American Standard’s salesman was more real and straightforward than the other salesman. And what we were getting was more for the price that they asked. They had better value. The installers were nothing but great. They had done the installation for yeas and they were fabulous. There were two of them and they went right to work. Each one had their jobs to do and to check and they didn't waste a minute. They did an excellent job. We were fortunate enough to have a place for the original tub. The new tub fit perfectly and we could use our old tile.
We love the new tub. You’re surrounded by places you could put your hand if you need to steady yourself. I like the jets. The grandkids use lights but I don’t need a bunch of different colored lights flashing around. We like that the shower is there so you can pull it out or stand up or sit down with the shower too. It’s a very comfortable tub. I have no problems getting in and out.

The installation was absolutely wonderful. The installers were professional and great. They did a good job and they cleaned up after themselves. But I had American Standard come out twice to fix the tub. They told me that they would be taking care of that and they were good on their word. Somebody came out, but he did not do a very good job. But then, somebody else came out from the company, and it was one of the gentlemen that actually installed it, and took care of everything right there. So I was happy with that. After that, it worked fine.

The sales rep from American Standard was very good and the guy who did the installation was great. He drove 160 miles to come out and install it every day. The walk-in bath has been used at least by two people every day since it's been put in. Everybody in the family wants to use it. American Standard is a good company to do work with. Their quality of material is great.

I can't walk and I was taking baths with that bench-type thing that goes over this tub in the other bathroom. So I was so glad to have the American Standard tub put in. It's so nice. I love the bidet that came with it. It's everything I had hoped to have. I love it. The best team that the company had came to my house. So they were really, really good. They were really nice and very friendly. They could speak very little English, but when I asked them something, they would look to the leader and he would explain and tell them what I said. Everything was nice. It was well done. There was no mess at all.

Everybody we dealt with from American Standard was polite, very caring, professional and did their jobs. So, we appreciated it. The rep was very easily understood and helpful. My son was very pleased because he handles all the financial ends of everything. The installers came, installed it in the time they said they would. They were clear. They showed the product to us before they brought it in the house so that we made sure we had the right product. Also, they cleaned up after themselves. The best feature for me is that it's easy for me to get in and out of. I can walk in the tub. It's a very small step down. Any step down is a big step for me. But we're very satisfied.

I purchased my walk in bath tub in 2019. And I have had some problems with the tub leaking. I called the troubleshooting number 855-225-2183 and they have to contact someone to come out but I never hear back from them. I am going on 4 weeks to get someone to come out and fix my tub. After a week of not hearing from them I was told they order parts before they come out to save on making a service call, Why they don't tell you that or call you to give you an update. The amount of money I paid for the tub they should send someone out immediately to look at the problem and then decide if they need to order parts. All other service companies do that. I then call and asked a few days ago to have the manager contact me and I still have not heard from them. Very poor customer service and I would check other places with better customer service. If I could remove the tub from my home I would definitely, do it.

The rep was great. And the installers were very good. It just seems like a long time by the time you get it filled up and you stay in there for a while. You would not want to waste it. But it does drain quick.

American Standard told us it would take one day to install, but it took three. But the guys that did it, seemed to know what they were doing, and they did a very good job. And they were very professional and very organized. We heard the quality was very good. And it seems to be. My husband has problems getting around. So, he uses the sweet seat every time he takes a shower and his three safety bars on it. But we have one problem with the tub. It leaks out around the door when we're taking a shower. They came back once and lowered the door. It doesn't leak as bad, but it's still leaking. I called him, but he never came back. So, I have to call them again. Other than that, we love it. It has made our life a lot easier, especially my husband to take a shower. And I feel a lot safer with him taking one because he doesn't have to lift his leg up over the tub. We've told others and the quality is very good and it's guaranteed.

I picked American Standard out because it has 44 jets. It also has the shower package. It has the little beads you can put in it to make things smell sweet. American Standard's rep was very good, knowledgeable, and informative. The installers said they would be here between 7:00 and 8:00, and they were here five after 7:00. We were told it might take up to three days. But they were out of here at 6 o'clock that day, all cleaned up and everything working well. They tested everything. I was getting to the point where it was hard to step over the tub. And the tub I had was a Jacuzzi and I couldn't use it because I couldn't get down. And if I did get down, I couldn't get back up. This way, I can sit down and use it as a Jacuzzi, and I like it.
The only thing I would recommend is they gotta redesign their door. There's one company that I looked at that their door is like American Standard's, but at the very top half, it extends out a little farther. It's like an upside down L, where your door is just straight up and down. If you were a big person, you would have a tough time getting in and out of that door. American Standard needs to redesign their door and make it bigger on the top. Other than that, it's an excellent tub. It does exactly what I was looking for.

The representative came here, and I knew him very well. I knew his family. Also, the installation team was really good. They were here for two days and they never stopped from what they were doing. The first time I used the tub, I felt unsafe in it, but it could be from the soap, without it going down the drain and I didn't wait for it. I haven't had any problems though. The tub has a protective thing on it so I don't fall, but I've never used them. I might do that later on down the road, but right now, I'm doing fine without them. I like the chair and I also like the handheld very much because I can move it around. The hand bars come in handy too. However, the American Standard tub is expensive, and I was wondering if there was a way that I could get money back. I read where Medicare could pay for something like that, but I've already had it installed, so I don't know if they will do anything. I never even asked them, but I'd be glad if they paid half or some on it.

The salesman was nice, but he incorrectly measured the space. I also have to follow up on the financing because we put a lot of money down but it's not reflected in the financing. We just did our first month. I was waiting for things to get in place and then call American Standard. The salesman had all the information. The installation was scheduled and the workmen came, but they didn't begin construction because of the measurement. The item had been delivered to them, and they brought it in the house, thinking that they would be able to make it work. They double-checked the measuring, and the item was too big for the space.
The workmen didn't want to demolish the whole route to the bathroom and then get it there and it be off. They elected to take that back out of the house and put it back on the truck. It took a couple of weeks for it to be reordered, but when they came back to install the the proper size, the guys were really good and the quality of work is excellent. The showerhead is very nice and the quality of the product is really good as well. It has the jets, but the feature I love the most is the drain motor. The tub is very comfortable. I also have all these different aromas I can put in, but I haven't used them.

American Standard came down and showed me the stuff they had. I had them do the job and when they finished, the showerhead that came with the tub wasn't really the showerhead that I had seen. Then I thought I was going to get a shower curtain to match the rest of the hand grips and everything that's in there to go across a short shower curtain. But I never heard anything about that. Then, when they did the wall, they did it nicely but when it came all the way to the end to meet the shower, they did the corner all ugly.

American Standard's representative that came to our house was outstanding, very kind and thoughtful. But he made a mistake when he went in and assessed our bathroom. It wasn't a serious flaw, but it caused a delay that was upsetting to me because I needed it installed sooner rather than later, as it wound up being. He assessed our bathroom as needing a tub with an in-swinging door. When it was finally time for the installation, the man came the first time with the installer and they brought the inward swing door. But we needed an outward swing door, which I did not know until that day. The regional install manager really saved my butt because he pointed out that that was what we needed versus the in-swinging door. So they had to order the tub again.
Aside from that, they had hired a new installer in our area and initially, they came not on the designated appointment day. I got a phone call from the regional install manager the morning they were supposed to be here and he said he was out of town at sessions and that he had mistakenly sent the installer to a different customer's house in our area. I was so disappointed because I had a really urgent need for the product. I opted to get the bathtub installed in the house because I would have access to it and the jets, especially, because of my severe back issues. And I opted to do that rather than moving and spending the money on the hot tub that we have sitting outdoors, not doing anything, because we had a concrete patio installed. Other than the install hangups, I'm 5 foot 10 and I weigh 293 pounds. I'm very tall and the product that is making it difficult for me to use it right now because I have trouble getting up from the seat.

The salesman was good and I enjoyed chatting with him, and we worked out a deal. It was a positive experience. The installation was excellent and I was very pleasantly surprised. The guys who did the install were super. The American Standard tub is not worth the amount they charge but it is worth it to me to have the tub. It’s overpriced but I’m happy with it. I already have a hot tub on my back deck, so I'm comfortable with the jets. The tub is handy for me to get in and out of. I'm 81 years old and that's one of the main reasons I bought it.

I have a lot of American Standard things. I got my commode from them. I have a home in Florida and I got the air conditioner. For the tub, the installation team did a good job in a good time. It took them about eight hours and it surprised me that they did it as quick as they did. It was excellent work. I have a shower, a regular faucet and 17 jets on the tub and the different color lights. Also, you push a button and it drains three minutes. It's great. I like everything about it. American Standard has made my life great. My wife likes the color lights and the jets. She can't get around so good and she likes the tub because it's easy to get in and out of and everything about it too.

I couldn't get into a standard tub. Commercials made me interested in an American Standard walk-in tub and I looked it up on Google. Their sales rep was very informative but a lot of his information wasn't correct. He sold me the wrong tub and it wouldn't work in my bathroom. He told me that there wouldn't be any problem with the towel, which we just put down, and that the other tub would take that up. But nope. Afterwards, I had to pay somebody to put the towel down. He also told me there wouldn't be any problems with the wall when they took the old tub out. Again, I had to pay somebody to fix the wall as they took the tub out. The sales rep just gave me the information that he thought I wanted so that I'd go ahead and buy the tub.
The guys who brought the tub to install it said there was no way they could even get in because of the way the door opens. I can't get close enough with my walker to get in it because the door swung in so I couldn't use it. The guy had to take it back and order a different tub that swung out so I could get into it. As far as the tub, the installer took care of all that for me. As far as the flooring and the wall, I didn't call to complain because I thought "Okay, maybe this is what they do to everybody." But if I had known I would have to pay somebody to fix the flooring and the wall after they finished, I would not have done this tub. I'm pleased with the tub itself and the installer was absolutely great. I just got misinformed when I was purchasing the tub.

I thought an American Standard walk-in tub would be an excellent idea because it would be a big problem when we get a little older and we already have trouble getting into tubs. Our friend let us come over and look at their tub. I wanted to sit in it and see what it would feel like to be in it. Our friend let us do that. I called American Standard and I got an appointment. Sean was the rep that came and he was very helpful. He told us a whole lot about the product and all the ins and outs. There was another company that I had an appointment with but I never even talked to them. We were so convinced by Sean that American Standard was what we wanted since I had already seen one and checked it out. There were also a lot of things about the product that we liked.
Young people came for the installation and they were very efficient. They knew what they were doing. There was a problem with hooking up the electricity because the fuse box was at one end of the house and the tub was at the other end of the house. They figured out how they could go in through the attic. They bore through a couple of walls to get to the electrician box in the kitchen. They then repaired that beautifully. They said they would be through in a day. But the work took two days. I'm glad they took their time because this was a complicated thing that they were putting in. They bothered us as little as possible. They were very congenial and I welcome them into my home anytime because they were such good people. Their work was perfect.
One of the features that I really like was the fact that when you get out of the tub, it had something that will go automatically and it will dry out all the inputs. I heard people say that they had a Jacuzzi or a tub in the house but they didn't use it much because it built up mildew in the water vents. Our walk-in tub also had a pump that would pump the water out. We like that too. We've had friends that had a walk-in tub and they had to sit there and wait for the water to go out.
We decided to go with this walk-in tub even though it was expensive because it would keep us from going to the nursing home. We decided the nursing home would be a lot more expensive than a walk-in tub. We wanted to stay home. Our friends are still staying home with their walk-in tub and they're still satisfied with it. This walk-in tub has certainly made things much simpler and I don't have to worry about my husband when he says he's going to take a bath. I enjoy it too. I have arthritis and sometimes I can lie in there for a while with the pulsating water. It really helps my arthritis.

I was looking at walk-in tubs and I wanted something American made with American made parts. That was why I chose American Standard. Working with them, from the salesperson to the installation, was wonderful. Everybody was very knowledgeable and they answered my questions. We've been very pleased with the product. We have the Liberation and I like everything about it such as the ease of getting in and out. I have MS so I have some mobility issues. My husband as well has some mobility issues and COPD. It was important for us to be able to have ease of getting in and out of the shower. The only concern I have is how to clean it. That information was not readily available to us so I had to go online to look it up. That should be information that should have been handed to the person. That would be helpful if that would be given to the customer at the time that they install the product.

I love American Standard. Their policy is wonderful. Their guarantee is unreal. We just decided that even though it was a little more, it was a better deal. The first person that called us set up a date for someone to come out and talk to us and take measurements. He is one of the nicest gentlemen you'd ever wanna meet. We just sat and carried on a conversation like we'd known him for years. My son went with him back there when he measured the space for the tub. We really enjoyed his visit and the information that he gave to us.
The video that he showed us was so self-explanatory. We decided to order it that day, and they set up a date for it to be installed. It took them two days to install it. They did a beautiful job. I like everything about my tub. If I'm in a hurry, I can take a quick shower. If I've got plenty of time, I love soaking in the tub and the jets and everything in it. I can sit in the tub and wash my hair. It's been a miracle for me. My problem was I could not step in the tub and get in it, and I have a chance of falling. I have a walk-in shower, but by the time I get through taking a bath in it, I feel like I've run a marathon. It tires me out. With my American Standard tub, it is a relaxing bath.

We looked around at a couple of different options, and American Standard’s price was the best that worked for us. We got the second-tier tub. It had an electric drain. It keeps the water warm. It has some lights. It has some jets by the feet, by the back, and a wide enough door. I was concerned but the installers were able to put a door on the correct side that it needed it to be. It is a nice tub. The installers came pretty much on time. They checked it. They took off the door. They had to change over the faucet to the other side of the bathroom. I wasn't there most of the day. My mother was and she said they were really nice. They explained everything.
The only thing was like two weeks later, the electric drain stopped working, and the water, for some reason, is not staying hot and the lights were not doing what they are supposed to. My mother called up to get someone to come down to check the electric because the drain’s not working, and she can’t sit in the water for five minutes while it drains. It's been a couple of days, and as of today, we haven’t heard back about anyone coming down or fixing it. That's a little disappointing.

We have a couple of American Standard products in our own home and I've always been pleased. I liked the salesperson that presented us all of the information. He was very thorough. My parents are elderly and they were mostly concerned with it being done in one day and not being all torn up. The salesperson looked the place and the situation over well, explained very well what my parents could expect and that was how it occurred. They were happy. It's taking them a gradual time to use the tub to hit its full potential. They're learning along the way but the tub is meeting all of their needs.

We've used American Standard products before a lot. We've remodeled houses and used the American Standard fixtures. We got the tub for Jim. We were gonna do a shower, but we switched to the tub because it's a much safer option. Plus, it cuts down on the pain meds he needs because he can get in there and do the whole cycle thing with the jets, and then he can go all night without any pain meds at all, which is helpful. So far, the tub functions as it should. It's certainly an enjoyable and relaxing deal. It's got a lifetime guarantee, too, and the guys that came to install it were very professional and courteous. They did a really nice job.

The American Standard reps were top-notch. They answered all of our questions. The installers showed up on time and worked right through lunch and got it all done. When something was going on, they would tell us what they were doing and how long they figured it would take. So, we were in the loop the entire time. They even added some trim across the bottom because my wife said, "The bottom kind of shows." They said that's basically the way it goes but they said, "I'll put another piece of trim in front of that."
Our new walk-in tub is easily accessible. There are safety handles and several things that you can reach at the same time, and they're anchored very securely. The only thing is they said that we might have to get a new hot water heater just to get enough hot water to run the thing. Our hot water heater was like 30 years old. So, a third of the bottom was probably filled with sediment, and it turned out to be that way. The first time we used it, the water wasn't cold but it was kind of tepid. So, we got a hot water heater installed in a day and now it's good. They did give us a heads up on that and we got a $500 thing.
The tub empties fast. When you fill it, you can turn on the different segments at different times as they fill. So, you can be soaking your legs when it gets up that high and then turn on the back ones and the side ones when it gets up. You don't have to just sit there for the 10 minutes that it takes to fill it. Ours emptied in less than two minutes.

We liked what the American Standard salesman had to say and we bought the tub. The salesman was excellent. The installers were a team of three people. I was surprised they were able to do it in one day for the amount of stuff they did. They were very efficient. They cleaned up whenever construction gets dirty, and everything came out really nice.

American Standard's presentation was the best. The guy that did the presentation knew the facts. He was very helpful in giving me everything that I needed done. The installation was quicker than I thought it would be. They came early and before 1:00, they were finished. I like sitting in the tub and turning the jets. The lights soothe me too. I also don’t have to worry about falling.

We were gonna have a new shower put in but the walk-in tub was a better option. American Standard had the best warranties and guarantees. Other companies said we had a warranty for two, three years for this and that but American Standard said they were warrantying everything for life of the tub. The installers left the bathroom cleaner than when they found it. I like that I can sit in the tub with the bubbles and the jets going. There's a knob on the right-hand side of the tub which is below the grab handle and that adjusts the flow of air between the jets. However, it’s in a very inconvenient place. If they could move it up top someplace, that would be a lot better for everybody.

I was dealing with a problem in the electrical system. I had a fuse box that was needed to be upgraded. We had to deal first with the electricians and get a date, which they kept changing. Then I had to deal with the man from American Standard who was very accommodating to keep up with the electricians. The installer and his assistant were excellent. I was very pleased with them. They got here when they said they would and it went well. There were challenges getting it programmed though. That had to be changed several times. They also found something wrong with the new electrical system. The next day, the electricians came back and that got resolved. In moving the old tub out and moving the other tub in, the installers had to remove was some of the wood around the door. There had been a gouge in the wall that they repaired. But they couldn't paint, so I'm going to have to get that wall repainted. It would have been nice if they had mentioned it to me.
I'm using the tub and enjoying it very much. I'm glad I have it and I would recommend it. I love the bubbles and the jets. They seem to work very well. It drains very quickly too. However, it's a little slipperier than I expected. I bought a couple of new bath mats that are rubber, so they don't slip at all. It also has a shower attachment so that I could wash my hair. However, the pressure of the new tub is low.

The place wasn't that clean when the installers went in there but they had left locks, chips and nails on the floor. American Standard called me after they installed who I recommended and told me if I recommend someone, I'd get a $500 incentive. But I didn't get that yet because they installed hers before they did mine.

When the man from American Standard came in and talked to us, he went through the house to see what was going to be to get the tub in and all that went through. The bathroom is in our bedroom. So they went through there and on into the bathroom to see how everything was located and what needed to be done. He told us that our bathroom door was too small and that it was gonna have to be enlarged to get the tub in, which was no big deal to us. But he came back out and said, "Now we're fixing to unload the tub and put it on the porch and let you look at it and get in it and see if you like it, how well you can get in and out of it."
They got the tub unloaded so I went out there and got in. But I had a little difficulty getting in and I had trouble getting up because of my ability with my ankle, to bend and work with it like I needed to. He said, "I knew that when I saw you getting in it. I knew you was gonna have a problem there.” It would have been better if it had been set up because I would have had the bar to hold to when I'm getting in. But because it was not completely installed, I didn't have that to help me. But he told me that I would do better with another tub. He said they have one that opens to the outside and that I could actually just back up and sit down and swing my feet around and be in the tub without the step up. So they boxed up the first tub and went back and told what had happened to put in an order for the other tub.
I am very happy with everything about the tub. The men that worked on it were great. They were like friends that you had known all your life. They were so friendly and nice. The only thing that I was not happy with was that we did not get a receipt for the purchase of the tub. The bank has cleared the check but you usually get a receipt for purchases. To keep with all my other stuff, I would love to have a receipt.

American Standard 's rep started off with a lie, but we ended up okay. The only thing I don’t like about the tub is unless the water is running, the showerhead does not work. But I like the jets and the warranty.

We needed a new bathroom and I wanted somebody who would warranty their work. I saw American Standard's warranty. I had a great salesperson. The only thing we wish we would have done would have probably gotten a door that could be opened from both ways.

Our daughter was visiting and was looking for us to buy a walk-in tub. She looked at American Standard and everything was made in the USA. It was a quality product. We had a rep that was very upbeat, positive, and congenial. We had two installation day. The salesman measured wrong so the wrong tub was sent out the first day. We had to wait another couple of weeks before we could get the right-sized tub. The tub was installed and the fellows that did it were very efficient. They cleaned up after themselves and they really didn't interrupt the family routine. They did a very professional job. The tub is easy to get in and out of. The controls are very user-friendly and the tub has all the features that are needed to get a very soothing bath. It also does not require cleanup to an extent. We just wipe it down. Go for American Standard.

I liked the customer service of American Standard. I called and they called me back very quickly. They came and did a presentation. That was excellent. The installers guided us through each step they were taking and everything went well. The tub is exactly what I wanted. It's nice and I can sit down and my complete body is immersed in water and the jets. I love the tub and I'm glad that we got it.

I was looking at Kohler and American Standard. I went with the latter as I liked the composition of the material better. The salesman was very helpful and informative with all of our questions and the installers were very good. I thought the installation was gonna take at least two days but they had the job done really fast and I was surprised. They cleaned up after themselves and they were very respectful of our home, considering they had to go through a wall to get to where they needed to put the walk-in tub in. The tub has been a good thing for us and our daughter who is having some physical issues. It's just we still haven't figured out which way to turn the jets to get them to be on and off.

American Standard's rep was nice, very informative and professional. Sat down and talked to us for a long time about the disabilities that I have, how it works as far as all the information about the tub, and how it’s processed and put in. And helped us to say, “Yeah, this is something that we need.” But the installers weren’t able to get it in the day they were supposed to. Something happened to the paperwork, so I had to wait an extra month.
But the day that it was installed, they came out, had it planned. And there were three of them. First, they looked at the electrical box, and they started tearing everything down in the bathroom, and put in the new tub. They had me look at it first and get in it before they brought it in the house to make sure I fit in it and I was comfortable. It’s a beautiful tub. I like the fact that it gives me better circulation, and it's easy to clean. I just wish that it was a bit wider. Because when I turn all my jets on, the water seems to come up on the back of it and gets the sides really wet. Other than that, I’m very happy with it.

I was getting quotes from several different companies and I liked what American Standard had to offer the best. My rep was very nice and knowledgeable. He helped me out with my selections and I was very pleased with that. Two gentlemen came out for the installation and they did a very good job. I'm very happy with the products. It's what I wanted and everything works. The installer put in some extra things such as supports that were needed that I hadn't thought about. It's solid.

I scheduled an appointment, American Standard's salesperson came to my home and did a presentation for me. He did a PowerPoint presentation. He showed me all the features of the tub, left me some brochures, and gave me pricing. It was longer than I expected. But the installation went smoothly. I built a new house, so we just had the area roughed in for plumbing. They came in and installed the tub, and finished off that bathroom area. The tub works as expected.

I knew American Standard was good. I knew they would stand behind their work versus someone else that wouldn't stand if I don't know. So I went with the name and the company and knew it wouldn't be closed next year, because it has been around for eons. And they make good product too. The installation took two days, which was fine. I felt bad for the guys, because it was 500 degrees outside. And it was a second floor installation. But besides that, they worked hard. They knew what they were doing. They were also friendly and outgoing. I was pleased with their work. The tub looks very nice. I'm looking forward to going in, sitting and relaxing and use it instead of taking a shower, because I know the jets will be quite relaxing.

The rep gave us the promotional package, which things were fixed in that. But he did good. We are satisfied with the tub. But we would like to have more of a choice on the commode or bidet. We're gonna change them. They function and work. They're just not perfect. Other than that, the installers were professional and took care of things well. I’m satisfied with what they have done.

I reached out to several companies and got several estimates. American Standard was the only company that talked about a good circulation for diabetics. I love the tub. It's so relaxing when it bubbles me. I turn them jets on and I'm very relaxed. I’d recommend American Standard over any of the others.

The rep was well-versed in the knowledge. We were disappointed in the fact that we paid him cash on the spot, and it still took him two weeks. Because he said that we would have the bathtub in June 20th, and he did not submit paperwork, so that we got the tub in July. American Standard said they did not get the funds for two weeks. So, it delayed us a month. But the tub looks and works great. The seat and the handheld is great for my husband. I am wondering, how come there's a rail behind the toilet up against the wall because it doesn't help. It would have been great to have it on the side that we go in, which would be the right side, not the left side, hidden behind the curtain that you don't know is there. Other than that, I would recommend American Standard.

The installation was quick, easy, and clean. I like the quality and the way that I can adjust the temperature of water. And I don't have to fool with it from one day to the next. It has been a lot easier in getting in and out of a tub. This was nice. I can walk in and walk out. I'm very happy with it.

American Standard came in and kept everything nice and clean as they worked. And it was cleaner than when they arrived. [Chuckles] The two young men were very polite and thorough. I love the tub. I couldn't get out of my tub and my knees did not help. My husband and someone else helped me out and I started crying. My husband went on the internet and he found American Standard. He set it up for them to come to check things out. Two guys came and they were very good and clean. In two days, they had our walk-in tub up and running. I use the walk-in tub and I love it. It helps with the knee pain.

We were told when we purchased this tub, it had an "ultra low threshold"--I am 5 ft 1 inches tall- a NINE INCH TALL threshold makes it almost impossible to get in and out of! I had to buy a platform to safely get in and out after falling out of the tub and sliding across the bathroom floor! The shower we were promised, cannot be used as a shower, as it is too short to stand under to wash our hair---my husband is 6 foot 1 inches tall. When you try to wash your hair by bending over, the water hits the back of the tub and FLOODS our bathroom floor, because water bypasses the shower curtain we put up!
The "jet" button is actually the " turbo" the "turbo" button is actually the "jet" button! The hot water comes out of the cold faucet, the cold water comes out of the hot faucet. The only thing that works on this tub is the lights and the drain!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TUB TO ANYONE WHO IS A SENIOR OR ANYONE WHO EXPECTS TO BE ABLE TO WASH THEIR HAIR!!!!

American Standard's tub came with 40 jets, and we’d get a better massage. I like the tub because of what it does for me. However, the lights, the lighting on it is too dull. It has off colors like blue, dark blue, dark red. Very little bright happy colors for me. But I use it because I'm in a wheelchair and I can’t use my legs. And it helps massage my legs.

We had a American Standard walk in tub installed and had 2 issues. The 1st issue was corrected over the phone. The 2nd issue is about 1 of the massage water jets not working. I talked to 2 different reps. 1 said to turn-around of the water massage jet counterclockwise. That didn't work. I called back and another rep said to turn part of the water massage jet clockwise. It still didn't work. Very frustrating getting 2 different answers. The 2nd rep said I might of turned it too far. Very frustrating. Too bad the service isn't better. We had high hopes when we initially had the tub installed. The owners manual isn't up to date for a few controls.

I liked American Standard's availability but I canceled the order because there were issues with where the tub was going to be installed. I was getting the size and the amount, and when the installer came, he said the tub wouldn't fit in the house. I was in the midst of buying another property and I was gonna put it in there, and that structure cannot support the tub. So, I wound up canceling the order.
American Standard's customer service is up in the air. When I called to cancel, they were like, “Oh, well, we can just put it off. We can reschedule you.” I was like, “No, you're not understanding what I'm saying. I can't get the tub, period. And I'm going to need a refund.” It was like $1,700. The rep was like, “I'm gonna have to give it to another department to see if they'll give you a refund.” I was like, “I don't understand why you're gonna see if you can give me a refund. I don't have the product and that's it.” I should be given a refund. I have never heard anything else from American Standard.

We liked the salesperson from American Standard. We checked into different ones, and the salesperson was very friendly and explained everything. She was helpful. Even when it was being installed, we did have a question and I called her, and she called somebody. They were able to talk to the installers. The installation was okay. I just still have an issue. I'm gonna have to call them because two of the jets are not spraying and not working the way the other ones are. What I like about the tub is the whole concept of sitting there and being able to relax. It's a wonderful piece of equipment.

The salesperson is out of Green Bay and the installers are right close by here. They did a good job. The walk-in bath is a quality product but we’ve had a little trouble with the control on the water. Then, the bottom right water jet still isn't working. So, we were gonna have somebody come here but the woman we talked to that was going to schedule it explained it to us. She said something about turning the outer ring around it to open or close it. I did it when she told me but my wife said it didn't seem to make a difference. The booklet doesn't tell you everything. So, it'd be nice if we had something in writing to explain a little more.

American Standard's salesman did a great job. He was outstanding. He gave us his number and we had one question three days later. We called him and he answered right away. The lead technician is great. As far as the tub, I like how fast it drains. That's really cool. We have the showerhead. We love that you can sit down and shower with just a showerhead and then put it back. It's a great feature. One time, someone's telling me the cord coming out of the shower got stuck and would only come out so far. We called the helpdesk and they told them to turn it clockwise, and in 10 seconds, it was done. Everyone is very impressive. It was a fabulous experience and I have recommended American Standard to all my friends.

We love our American Standard walk-in bathtub. The representative who came out and showed it to us said it came along with a toilet. We'd never seen one with French toilet. A remote came out with it. When you gotta go, you gotta go. The installer came out and he unloaded the tub and showed us and explained to us. Also, it has a shutoff valve. He just had to work on it and shut the water off on the hot side and the cold side. That’s another thing that we were enticed with. The people were as good as they could be and we haven't had any trouble with the tub.
Our new tub got 44 jets, and it’s like a spa when you get in it. We got a 50-gallon tank, so the water supply through the tub wasn’t a problem for us. Then when we empty it, we could empty it within the tub now. It goes straight through. It’s so relaxing when we get in it and we can get out without having to call friends to help us get out. We just open it up. We're crazy about it. It's really nice. We like everything about it.

The American Standard sales representative was fine. He was knowledgeable. The installers arrived when they said they were gonna do it. They put it in when they said they were gonna do it. They got it in and left. Considering the place that they had to put it, the work was okay. With the way the house is designed, the tub was too big for the area that it was in, but they knew what they had to do. We have to fill the tub twice because our hot water tank is not big enough to fill it. We need at least 60 gallons.

The sales guy from American Standard seemed completely honest and the install team seemed like they knew what they were doing. But the tub leaks and they're replacing it next week. It's taken me two months to get them to do that though. They've had somebody out there to fix it a few times and they damaged the door to the point where the last tech that came out there said that it was never going to stop leaking because it's been bent around the frame by the door. So it hasn't been used in at least two months, and it’s taken me a lot of phone calls to get them to respond and to come out there. I left a message three times before they called me back and I waited a few days in between calls. And they decided to order a newone. If it works, they're standing by their product, so I give them kudos for that.

American Standard stayed up with their appointments but with the other ones, we were having trouble trying to schedule appointments. The American Standard reps were also very good at explaining what was going to happen in the process and they installed the tub just as it was scheduled. Their work was very good and my mother-in-law is pleased with the tub. She was having some trouble with the other tub that she had in there, but the American Standard is easily accessible for her to get in and out of. It gave her a lot more freedom in terms of being able to take care of herself better.

This lovely lady rep called and I made an appointment with her. We heard all the interesting data about the tubs and got a price. We were very interested in the safety factor. Also, we really liked the rep. She was very nice. I felt really good about the installers because I didn't know what to look for. They were efficient and they knew what they were doing. They didn't have questions or doubts and just worked well together. But there were a couple of places that are sharp that could have been dealt with a little better. Other than that, I'm very pleased with the tub. But they didn't leave me any of the smelling good thing that you put in it. So, I haven't been able to enjoy that sweet smell.

The installation guys were very professional and they did a very neat job. I got a call yesterday telling me that the product is working properly and that I shouldn't fill the tub too high so that the water won't splash out on the floor. I wasn't too happy with that answer, but I just won't use the jets. When I would press the button for air so I could get the aromatherapy going, it's like a torrential storm going on in the tub. The water just bubbles so hard. It's so rough. Then, if I turn it off and press it again, it's even higher. I was told that that's just the way it is. That's the only thing I'm not too happy with. But other than that, I love the tub.
Initially, I was told that I needed to have a different system put in and that was over a month ago and I didn't hear anything. So, I sent a text message to the representative and he called me back yesterday and told me that he didn't realize that no one had gotten in touch with me. He came to see me in May, we went on vacation for the first two weeks in June and I never heard anything from anybody. If anyone did call, I wasn't alerted. I was looking to get a call from someone where it would show on my phone they were from American Standard.

The salesman from American Standard was nice, except he didn't explain everything really well to me. And the people who installed the walk-in tub were absolutely horrible. I'm an invalid and I had to have someone come and clean my house after they left it. There were also some things I would have changed on the product. We're not fat people and the sales rep thought we could do with a smaller tub. But that makes it really cramped in there and you have to sort of get in sideways a little bit. Then, when I told their guy that I didn't even know how to use the thing, he said he told my son how to do it. But he didn't tell me and I was the one that needed to know. My son had to tell me. And if we didn't know something, we had to look it up in the book.
Aside from that, I always worry about the door opening if I should hit it with my knee and I feel like the door should have been put on the other side so that you couldn't hit it with your knee, which seems to be an easy thing to do. Also, I feel like we were overcharged by at least 4 grand. The rep wrote on the paperwork that I had seven days to change my mind but he didn't tell me what I was signing. I just looked right over it and didn't even realize I had seven days. I might have changed my mind because we had another quote.
Our first quote was 13,000 and that was horrible, so we had to get some more quotes. Then this one was 19,000 something. But he made me want it so bad, telling me that American Standard has been around for hundreds of years, and 10 years from now, it’ll look just like it does now. And I could have very well done with a less of a tub. We’re not rich people. Then the tub leaked while they were here and it ruined my kitchen ceiling. It was the installers’ fault and I had to pay them to fix my kitchen ceiling. I even had to pay a guy they sent out another $300 to paint it. I really got robbed.

The American Standard (AS) Liberation Walk-in-Tub seems to be a quality product. Their installation and warranty services are quite a different matter. I paid a premium price to have AS move a closet wall around four inches to make room for the tub. They assured me that the price included all the needed work, and that the bathroom would be “paint ready” after the installation. Instead, I noted several major problems after the installation: gaps were left in the wallboard exposing the wooden studs beneath, an outside wall corner was left unfinished, there was no trim installed around the edges of the tub enclosure, and there were several code violations with the construction. These are only some of the defects.
After over six months, none of my concerns have been addressed. Go ahead, if you choose, and purchase an American Standard Liberation tub, but DO NOT have them perform the installation, and don't expect too much from their warranty service!

I looked for walk-in tubs and American Standard looked to be the best for the money. Their sales rep explained everything and he left his phone number if we had any problems. He was a very personable guy and he did a good job. After the salesman came through, we set an appointment and the crew came. They were a three men crew and they did a really good job. The salesman came back just to monitor.
We had two minor issues. There was a leak under the door and that got resolved. The crew came out and checked the seal and fixed that. There was also a draining problem that we have that’s recurring. But I know how to fix it now. I called and spoke to some woman from maintenance. She explained about the screw that gets loose and how to turn it if it doesn't drain. I did that this morning. If there's anything that needs to be addressed in American Standard's engineering or design, that would be it. That drain is the one downside.
The aside, our tub has chromotherapy, jets all around, and the air. It has all the bells and whistles you could want. My mother has Alzheimer's and they're getting her in there and she really enjoys it. We also like the idea that when we have guests that come to the house, she wants to take everybody to the bathroom to show them the tub.

A huge selling point on the walk-in tub is the lifetime warranty. After just one year of using the tub, we have a pretty substantial leak. I have begged for weeks to just simply get a returned phone call from the installer. American Standard customer service is very defensive & the installer has not called. The tub cost 20k with a lifetime warranty. So far American Standard has not hold up the warranty.

We were really happy with the installation of our American Standard. The installers came in and they tore up our garden tub, which was a fairly good size. My wife was saying that the one they put in will never match or fit. There would be gaps. But it came out to be quite nice. The finish on it blended right in. There are no gaps. They have spacers that they used. They also cleaned up when they were done. There was a toilet and all the pieces of the original tub that they hauled off. We had tile in that bathroom and they matched that tub, height, to the tile. It fits in very nicely. They did an excellent job. We enjoy it. It exceeded our expectations.

The American Standard representative was very knowledgeable, helpful and outstanding. The installers were timely and they did it very quickly. They did a really good job. They also left me a whole folder, which told me how to care for the tub, and things that I needed to do. I really enjoy the features. I like that it has a pullout shower. I can usually wash my hair by the time the tub is drained. Having the automatic pump-it-out is quick, too.
