They sold me one bathtub and I was very happy with them. In two weeks, they're supposed to come to do another one. The same sales rep came for the second one and he was very nice and professional. He explained what they're gonna do and showed samples. Also, I was so happy with the first installation team that I asked for the same guys. The job was very clean the first time. You couldn't even tell that I had construction.

American Standard's sales rep was pretty straightforward. We narrowed our choices down when we told him what we wanted. We were looking for a regular short bathtub so we could use it as a bathtub or a shower. The installation took almost two days but the installers came out three times. The first time, they brought the wrong tub or the company had sent them the wrong one. So, they had to go back and come back two more times. They came out of Louisville to Anderson, which was about three hours away, so it took them a while to get here and a while to get back home. The price was a little bit higher than I wanted, but it was fine. I needed American Standard and I felt comfortable with them. Plus, the tub is really good and everything on it works easy.

The rep wasn't pushy and he explained everything well. The installer was very good. The tub is overpriced but it helps with my circulation a lot. I love American Standard.

The sales rep answered all my questions and seemed to know what he was talking about. The installers were nice guys. They told me what they were gonna do. The tub wouldn't fit in the bathroom, so they had to take out the door frame and set it to the side so they could get the tub through the door. I told them to go ahead, but I didn't know it was gonna be that much work cleaning up the mess afterwards. Now I gotta paint it and change my wallpaper. That's a little extra work that I gotta do that I didn't realize when they had told me about it.
But the quality of work was good. It's nice and level. They did a good job on the caulking. The inflation of the shower bar and the grab bars are right on. I love the tub. I love to go in there and soak. It takes eight minutes to fill it up. Once the water gets to my knees, I turn the air bubbles on, and the jet and bubbles massage my legs while it's filling up. I like my jets, but the best thing is the bubbles. The drainage is wonderful with that pump they put in there. It pumps the water out right away. The only thing bad is when you're soapy and sitting on the chair, you slide a lot. I have to put a wash rag on the seat to keep me from sliding.

I initially talked to a phone rep who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. But I was frustrated that they didn't tell me what the cost of the tub was going to be. It wouldn't have changed my mind but it would have been useful information. Then I had a sales rep come to my house and do estimates and the full sales piece on Saturday afternoon. She convinced me during that meeting that American Standard was the way to go.
The installer came a week earlier to do a walkthrough and make sure any of my questions were answered and also to understand if there were going to be any issues, which there were a couple. One included that I had two flights of steps and the installer did it by himself. Although, after he saw my house, he decided he needed to have some help getting the tub into the house. He had some help for that part. He showed up when he said he was going to be there and left approximately when he said he was going to leave. I was very satisfied mostly with the installation.
Along with the installation of the walk-in tub, they had a promotional deal where they gave me a free bidet. I would never have ordered a bidet, but I had some medical issues and it has been wonderful. I love the bidet. But when the installer was done with the installation, I had somebody go under the house checking on a issue that he had identified and the person I had determined that the bidet was leaking. I had several text messages back and forth to the installer, at which point I got frustrated. It was very clear that the installer was not going to fix his installation. Also, I called the maintenance person and asked them if I needed a bigger water heater or not but they could not advise regarding water heaters because they were afraid of liability. I found out that the water heater I had was not the recommended size. I got a slightly bigger water heater.
They had to put in a special circuit for the walk-in tub for electrical. I connected the electrician to the installer and the installer was so impressed with the electrician that he offered to work with the electrician for future installs. The electrician was also very happy with how things had gone and gave me some free service as a result of me making that connection. The whole thing was very positive and worked exactly as I had been told it would work.

The salesperson with American Standard said it would be better to put the tub in the guest bathroom. I wanted it in the master bathroom. When the installer came, he said it would be easier taking out the shower in the master bath and put the tub in because our guest bath has a steel tub in it, and he couldn't cut it. The old tub is between 7 and 8 ft long. It was a special order tub back in the 70s, and they would have had to chuck out a wall in my family room to remove it. They would have to open up the front door opening to get it out of the house. He agreed with me to put it in where the shower was, then he took out the shower and put it in.
However, I have an issue with the tub. It drains okay when the pump is on, but when it gets down to the level they tell me to stop the pump, it's not draining well. When I pull the handle up to drain, sometimes it completely falls off. When I screw it back on, the drain is not working properly. They tell me it would empty in 2 minutes, but it takes 10 minutes. My husband has health issues, and I don't want him to get in there, have a heart attack then I couldn't get him out because of the water. I ordered it for him, but he hasn't been in it but one time. Also, the door opens in. He has to get in and move to one side too far to close the door. He thinks the door should have been an opening out on the tub to get in better. The tub expensive but it's nice for elderly people. I would recommend it for anyone that's not got any handicap issues.

A guy named Michael came and explained to us about American Standard. He showed us the book he had with all the pictures and told us all about it and how to do it. He was informative. We put a down payment on their walk-in tub and they came and put it in. A couple of guys came at 8 o'clock that morning. They had to run a lot of extra wiring from out at the junction box and across my patio into the attic and then down in there. They had to tear out a vanity and the cabinet all the way down there. They got out the tub and put it in. I thought they were not ever gonna get that finished but they had everything cleaned up at 8 o'clock that night.
The walk-in tub turned out really neat and we just love it. It was so pretty and fit right in. My husband has poor circulation in his feet and legs. He puts his feet up on those jets. He comes out and his feet are just as pretty and pink as they can be. It's really helping with his circulation. Both his shoulder joints are worn out and he can lay down in there and let that massage those joints. He feels better all over. The rep had told us that it helps with circulation and I didn't believe it but seeing is believing.
I've used the walk-in tub two or three times. But I'm usually running and I just grab a quick shower. My husband, on the other hand, sits there sometimes 20 or 30 minutes. Once in a while, I'll get in there at night and turn the light off, turn the blue light on in the water, and just relax a little bit. We like the massage and jets. We've told everybody we know about our tub. My husband has home health nurses come and he says, "Y'all need to get in that tub." My grandson came over and he made him get in it. His shoulders were hurting. It really relaxed him and really helped him.

I bought a walk-in bathtub from American Standard, specifically due to the safety features that were described by the salesperson. After purchasing this $16k jacuzzi tub for my elderly mother who had Alzheimer's, she started getting frequent UTIs. I thought it was strange but we believed the cause was her age and her disease. We got her on antibiotics and took care of it but it kept happening. This went on for a year. Ultimately, my mother got pneumonia and in her weakened state, died. At the time, I thought it this was due to her age, 80, and her fragile state. It was not until I started getting UTIs from using this "safe" walk-in bathtub, that I put it together. I am a 43 year-old male. It's extremely rare for my demographic to be getting UTIs.
Upon some investigation and consulting with an MD friend, I learned that pseudomonas aeruginosa is a common type of bacteria associated with these types of bath tubs, something this company states NOTHING about. I want to emphasize here that it is NOT a hygiene issue either. We cleaned this tub and had maids to the house every few weeks. They used bleach to clean the tub. It still results in UTIs a few days later, I can only assume from bacteria stuck in the tubing out of reach. This strain of bacteria also causes infection in the lungs (pneumonia) which is how my mother died. The design is flawed and/or unsanitary.
Now, my mother is dead and I am getting UTIs as a 43-year old man EVERY TIME I use this tub. I am done. I want this cesspool of a bath tub out of my house. I am experiencing a lot of emotions about my decision to get my mother this tub, most of all, profound regret. I tried to do something nice for her and I was sold junk marketed as a "luxury" product.
I would be curious to know how many other elderly people are getting UTIs and pneumonia from these walk-in bath tubs and how often it is written off due to the fragile nature of the demographic. This is life threatening and nobody is getting warned and people are buying this product thinking it's helping their loved ones. I should have gotten a walk-in shower and built in chair. I am beyond disgusted with American Standard and what passes for "quality" here.

Both the salesman and the installer did a great job. I wish I would’ve had the bathroom more ready, but I told the installer what I had and he said, “That should be fine.” The contractor that I had and the installer talked it over, and it worked out okay. I had a leak, and it was gonna be cleared and ready, but it wasn't tiled yet. The installer couldn't finish something. We also widened the door, then we had to widen it a couple of inches more for the door to fit. The contractor did that, and it’s great now. A certain kind of cement board for insulation along the tub was put in too.
I love my American Standard walk-in tub, and I know my husband will too. My husband, Richard, is getting physical therapy and trying to build up his muscles enough to walk again. He will really benefit from it, and it'll make all the difference in the world. I use the tub, and after I get out, I don't feel any ache or pain. It feels great, and I really enjoy using it. I'm not sure how high to go up with the water, but I go as far as I can without it going out. I sit in the walk-in tub for a while and I soak.
The walk-in tub helps with my ankle and my back, because I have been doing all the packing myself, and I was really sore. I have trouble with my knee too. It was doing great, then after all the move, it started really hurting again. I'm trying to stay out of getting an operation on my knee, and the walk-in tub is prolonging it. I don't know how I would’ve gotten through all this without it.

American Standard has made products for years. When I was interested in a walk-in tub, they were the people that I called because I knew that they had been around for a long time and were a good reputable company. I knew I was getting something that was on the high end of pricing and I was going to get everything that came along with that. They'll stand behind their product and that was my reason for going with them. The sales aspect was very good. The salesperson who came knew the product was efficient and had the information, dimensions, and everything for them so it all worked very well. It was a very good presentation. I watched some of American Standard's videos that they have too and they were very informative.
I got a walk-in tub with a shower handle. Everything about it has been wonderful so far. Their installation people were fantastic and efficient. They were clean and they were respectful of my home. They cleaned up after themselves very well. I was very pleased. Right now, I'm waiting for a piece to come in. It'll come but I just thought it'd be here by now. My walk-in tub is a deeper tub than a lot of the ones I saw. This one is a taller tub so you're more protected from the air currents when you're in it. I liked that.

The sales guy was very nice. The installers were supposed to come on a certain day, and the day before, they had a problem with getting the materials, so they had to postpone it for about three weeks. But it wasn't anybody's fault. When they came in, they were very nice and professional. They knew what they were doing. It took them a day and a half. They were out of here the next day. I'm very pleased with the quality of the work done. You can't tell that they were here. The tub is very relaxing. The only thing is that we have a 50 gallon hot water heater, and it takes up all of that. The last few gallons come out lukewarm. But it works out okay.

The sales representative was very professional and thorough relative to information and it was easy to understand. The installers have pleasant personalities and they were respectful. The installation went okay. But they could have cleaned up behind themselves a little bit better. It took me a while to notice everything. But I did notice that there were some smudges on the walls here and there and on the door. Other than that, the actual construction was done well.
The American Standard tub is amazing. I love it. There’s a crease in between the very bottom and the actual tub, and cleaning that is a little tricky. I have to get a Q-tip and get into that little crease. I don't like that. But it's not enough for me not to love the actual walk-in. It's expensive but it's worth it. The jets are very powerful. It's like my husband is getting a wonderful massage. In fact, he's canceling his membership to Burke Williams because the jets are doing it. We’ll save almost $200 a month for that. The tub is a little small for me but it works for my knee and back. I'm completely happy with it.

The installation team kept me apprised of everything. It took them a while to do it. I had an application that had a glass door and when they were finished, they never put the glass door in. So I had to call up and ask them why that wasn't installed. I had to wait an extra week for them to get the glass door in and to finish the glass door. But that was no big deal. It was okay. The quality of work was done well. The only thing I'm unhappy with is the sliding door itself, at one side, doesn't come up all the way to the wall correctly. It's lopsided a little bit.

The rep was very thorough. He explained what was available and the positive features of their system as opposed to others. It could drain very quickly so you wouldn't get cold while trying to wait to get out to dry. I clean it every time I use it. So I turn on the fancy drain. While it's draining, I'm rinsing off the sides and cleaning them. By the time it's finished draining, I'm ready to get out and I've cleaned the tub too. I got the shower too so I'd have that option. Originally they told me installation day would be in three weeks because they had to get one in stock. I was hoping to get the tub in before I had carpet put in. They called and said they found a tub in a close area that they could pick up. That worked very well and I had that tub put in before my carpet came in.
The techs did well. The bathroom door was too small so they had to put in a whole new door in order to fit the tub in. They did a good job with that. They also added a little shelf on the wall side of the tub so they wouldn't have to retile all that stuff in front of the tub. That worked out perfectly. I really like the final product. I feel very comfortable and safe getting in it.

American Standard does what they say they're gonna do in a timely fashion. We also saved about $3,000 off the installation over another well-known brand. We like that they have a lifetime warranty and that they do their own work rather than sub it out to another company. They had to cut the wall out in the hall to get the tub in. When they did that, they went the extra mile and put a wider door in rather than just redoing the wall. Later on in life, if we have to use a wheelchair, we can get in there without having to get out of the wheelchair then maneuver it in. After they installed it, we had a problem with it draining properly. Because of our drain situation, they came and tore it all out. We fixed the drain and they put it back together. It didn't cost us anything extra. Our walk-in tub works perfectly. If we happen to work out, it's nice to be able to sit in there and relax.

I had a good rapport with the guy that sold the tub to us. He was good. He explained everything to us and assured that whatever he told us was what we would get. He stood by everything that was said. I needed something right away to help out with my arthritis and my lower back pains and American Standard was quick to respond. The sales reps were very professional and I had no problem understanding the instructions of how to operate the tub. So, I was very well satisfied with them. The installers were also very professional and did an outstanding job. They left my bathroom clean and usable. I love the Jacuzzi part when I turn the jets on and I love the little beads that they put in to change the water to different colors too. That’s very relaxing for me.

The sales rep was professional and good. We looked at where the walk-in tub would go. She measured everything and said it would fit in the bathroom. She showed me the different types of things that it had to offer and I liked it. She used to install them so she knows a little bit about them. I was having some trouble. I'm medically handicapped and when the other tub went down, I saw a decline. When American Standard installed the walk-in tub and I started using it, things got a lot better. Everything they said was true and everything they said would happen, happened. The price is up there. They're not inexpensive types of tubs but the quality of the product is good.

I spoke to several companies and most of the companies wouldn't come talk to us because we were in a three-floor condo unit. They wouldn't come to anything that was higher than two floors. American Standard did which shocked me. Sean was my sales guy. He was awesome. He had to come a long way to come see me and never made me feel I was wasting his time or it was a hassle. He had an answer for every question that was very reasonable. He didn't hesitate. He didn't come across as a salesman compared to when you walk into a car showroom and you get attacked by six people.
We went through a video presentation, which helped me understand the process, how they waterproof and how the product works. We talked about worst-case and best case scenarios. He held samples on the wall for me and it was very thorough. It was like being in a showroom, but it was in my house. I have a little issue that I'm about to call about but so far, so good. I have recommended American Standard to a friend and made sure that she mentioned that I referred her because their referral process is excellent. I also referred a couple of people. I would do it again tomorrow if I had to.

Everything was upfront with the sales rep at American Standard and dealing with her went very quickly. The installation team went through the process and how long it was gonna take. I had two tubs done, upstairs and downstairs, and they asked me at what height I wanted certain things installed, and everything went as requested. And the price was just right.

American Standard had more bells and whistles for the money than Kohler and Safe Step. I didn't want a full-blown tub and Kohler couldn't do that. They didn't have anything besides a soaking tub and the one with all the bells and whistles. It was the same with Safe Step. But American Standard had one in between. We're happy with the tub.
American Standard charged me extra for something that I was told was gonna be included. Other than that, everything was fine with the installation. But we're having trouble with the tub and getting service. I called them and they ordered the part. The part was here two weeks ago, and I still haven't heard from the installation team when they're gonna come and put it in. Now, I have another problem. So I'm not happy with their service. I'm also not happy with the fact that two things went wrong already and I've only had it for a month. When you call customer service, you have to leave your number and they have to call you back. The first time that I called them, they called me back by the end of the day. The second time, I had to call them back.

The reps were very courteous, respectful and helpful, and installation went good. I like how the installers did it. They put my tub in and the shower, the wall and baseboard. They did it nice and quietly. They did a good job and cleaned up behind them really good. If American Standard continues to do their job good like that, they'll get many more customers. I wish I could get another tub, but not right now.

I like the width of the seat of American Standard. Most of the tubs are only 17, 18 inches wide. The American standard tub seat is 25 inches wide. I got this for my wife and she's fairly large, and those smaller tubs, she just would not have been able to fit in. The sales rep did a good job presenting it and what our options were. The quality of work done by the installers was very good too. My wife has mobility issues, so trying to get into a shower or a regular bathtub is impossible. Shower is difficult. The tub works really well. It gives her an opportunity to soak and do stuff safely that you can't do in a shower or a tub. However, we've got a problem with the controls that control the vents, and the lights have quit working on the unit. We called the other day and they're supposed to be having a service person call or come out and replace the unit.

If you’re looking for something, American Standard would be the company you should go to. Their price was very competitive. And they would do more than other companies were doing. Other companies came to my house and just wanted to put a Band-Aid over a Band-Aid. American Standard said, "No, we will strip everything down and put it up, everything new." The representative was very good on explaining things and what needed to be done. He was straightforward. He explained the best options. We were not looking to spend a lot. He hit the lowest price to the highest price and he explained to us, "This is what they would do."
The installation took one day. There were some hiccups. My only negative is the caulking of the sides and the corners could have been done better. Also, one of the faucets went loose after a couple of weeks. They had to come back and fix it. Ten grand is a lot of money to shell out to do half a bathroom. If we spent that much, I should not call someone right away like, “This has to be fixed.” Other than that, we like the wall they put up. And the tub is easy to clean and maintain.

The tub is very well built. And all the features of the unit that the rep pointed out made it more convincing to me to buy one. The pump in it for draining it drains this whole tub full of water in a little over two minutes. It takes 12 minutes to fill it up with the water. But I can use it then like a leg massage while it's filled up. So, when it fills up, I got a lot of time into the whirlpool already. Buy one.

The sales rep who came by was upfront and somewhat honest. He made his pitch and he talked about what American Standard had to offer. I purchased a spa tub and I got the toilet for free. The installers were pretty good. They did the installation in one day and they did a good job cleaning up and everything. The tub is kind of small, but it worked. It takes a while to fill up, though, and I got a 50-gallon tank so I don't know why the water runs cold before it fills up. But then, it broke down. The drain plug started leaking water and they told me they were gonna send out this drain a week ago but it still hasn't gotten here. I had to call my homeowners insurance and it still isn't fixed.

Our experience was very good from beginning to end. The rep was well-informed about the product. She knew what she was talking about. The tub we got has 40 jets and a handheld shower. It also has light therapy. The jets and air jets are my favorite features. My wife has an arthritis pain and I'm trying to get back to my mobility. We couldn't get in and out of our bathtubs or our shower. So far, we're happy with our walk-in tub. The price was competitive too.

The sales rep was very good. He went through and explained everything and told us everything about the product. On install day, the crew came out that morning then left that night and I had a new tub. They were all very nice and knew what they were doing, and it was very smooth. Also, the quality of the tub is excellent and it's definitely easier to take a shower or a bath. It's more comfortable to be able to go in. My husband is very elderly and not really well, and he can take a shower in there and he doesn't get near as tired as he did in the walk-in shower. It's great. We can fill up the tub or we don't have to fill it up, and considering how much water goes in there, it goes very fast. I like the jets in the tub as well. It helps to relax the body. I would tell people to go with American Standard, because they have the best program if those people have problems with their tub. It's a lifetime guarantee whereas other products are not.

I liked American Standard's product, the pricing and the financing. The sales rep was very straightforward and pleasant. The installers were here just one day, and they were very efficient, very pleasant and did a good job. As far as the product, I do feel more relaxed and safer. The doors are my favorite part. I like that American Standard is the only company that had two barn doors that both slide. I like the weight of the doors. They're heavy. I have recommended American Standard to several people.

The sales rep seemed quite knowledgeable and didn't make it sound like if I don't do it today, I don't get the discount. There were some delays with the installation though. The installers gave me an arrival date and then, they called and canceled. They gave me another date and they canceled that for another few days. And when the man who was installing the walk-in bath came in, he said I was told it was a one-day job but it would take three days. He was upfront about it and was done within three days, and everything has been working fine. He took the old tub, got rid of it and installed the new toilet. I wanted to keep that just in case one of my other ones broke and he took it outside and put it where I asked him to.
Everything went smoothly with the installation. The shower and the water controls work, and it's easy to use. But I noticed the other day that the stopper was crooked. I picked it up and it came out of a hole, and I put it back in and it still goes up and down. It’s just weight that's pulling it down but it doesn't get pulled down and I don't know if it's supposed to be that way or not.
I bought the American Standard walk-in bath because of my age and I'm gonna need it probably. I'm 83. I was hoping my insurance might pay for it because I had my hip replaced several years ago and I also had some surgery on my foot two years ago and I feel more comfortable sitting down bathing than standing. I have a walk-in shower in my room but I've got three shower heads in it. I can turn around and walk back and forth and stay under the water all the time and wash my hair. And I've got one head that comes directly out of the ceiling straight down. Purchasing the tub was fine. There was no super pressure and I was able to think about it for a day or two. I would have liked to have done the entire wall in my bathroom with a tile but the installer said that was all American Standard sent and they couldn't get any extra pieces. There were only so many pieces of the tile that I picked that came with the walk-in bath.

The rep who sold me the American Standard gave me his cell phone number so I could get a hold of him any time. He answered all my crazy questions. The installation was a little rough but it was totally my fault because I wanted the tub to fit a certain way so it would be easier for me to get in and out of. There was a large space and they had to fill all the space behind it. There were a few problems so they tore out the tub and damaged the wall. They tried to fix it but it was never fixed. So, I hired a contractor.
But the sheetrock was fine and the issue was just with the texture on the wall. I'm happy with the way the tub fits. I like the lights but I wish they would stay on one color. Also, I don't like the fragrance. Plus, I had redecorated my bathroom in cream and gold and when the tub was installed, it was all very silver. I would have paid more just to have gold. I wish they gave me a choice. Other than that, the product is worth the $20,000. But other retirees would not be able to afford it. Maybe they would use a lesser tub that doesn't drain or fill up as quickly or one without all the features. I feel bad for them because this tub really is nice.

The rep was very professional and he knew what he was talking about. He measured everything and gave us a perspective of what it would look like. The installers were excellent. They spent all day with us because they had to get the old tub out. We also got a toilet as a bonus to us for getting the tub. They stayed 'til they had the job all completed. We use the tub frequently. At our age, we get sore easily. So it has been very helpful for us. The air bubbles and vibration of the water have been our favorite features.

American Standard did everything they were supposed to do. They're expensive but it's worth it considering that they do all the work and don't have to call a different plumber. They sent the workers out, put the tub in, and everything went fine. The guys were wonderful. I love the tub. I like that I can sit down in it and relax. I've told my brother about it. He's already looking into getting one, and so is my sister.

The sales rep explained everything about the American Standard walk-in bath to us and it was everything that we wanted. When the installation guys got here, they got the tub out, set it out on my car porch, and demonstrated to us how it works. They told us to sit in it before they even put it in, so that was good. We were shown how to close the door, lock it, and open it up. They've done good quality work and we were well-pleased. They fixed everything back up nicely, too. I like the jets in there. I had surgery on my feet and I just lay my feet up there with the jets on. I let that work them over really good and it helps. You can just sit in there, relax, and enjoy yourself. My wife loves it, too. It's really a convenient and easy way for maintaining our personal hygiene. And if anything should happen to either one of us, we'd still able to live in our house instead of having to go to a facility.

The sales rep from American Standard was very nice and the communication was excellent. I didn't haggle with him and I was happy. For the installation, at first, I was a little worried. But the installers were professional and they worked all day. They got there at about 10:00 and they didn't leave until about 8:00. They had to do a lot of stuff that I thought was above and beyond to put in. I also got a toilet and they took out my bathroom vanity. I didn't have any idea they'd have to do all that. Then they put in new electrical plugs and water lines. They did a wonderful job and I felt bad that they didn't even hardly stop for lunch. They were elderly gentlemen and they drove all the way back to Maryland that night. So, I really appreciated their hard work and I hope that company appreciated them. So far, the walk-in is very convenient to use. There are two things I wish they would change, but it's been very nice and I've enjoy it very much.

We were interested in a walk-in tub and we did a research on the internet. We had one company come in, give us an estimate, and describe their product. Then we had a representative from American Standard come in and we thought theirs looked like the superior product. It has worked very well, too. I have a little problem with the controls but it's very good. We had to replace the water heater, which we expected because we were told that the water heater we had wouldn't supply enough water to fill it up. Once it's running, it heats the water, so it is no problem. Also, my wife is disabled and she has trouble getting up when she's sitting down in the tub. And part of the problem is that if you're using soap, the flooring of the tub is very slippery. We had to buy a pad to put down there so that she could get her balance and pull herself up.
The other thing is that the chrome bar on the right really is somewhat useless. It's not in a very good place to put any pressure on to pull yourself up. Aside from that, the handle for the spray is very upright. It comes out of a little hole and there's this handle with a sprayer on it and it's difficult to maneuver that. If you're bending over and you want to wash your hair, it's hard to get an angle. It would be nice if the sprayer was one that had an articulated one where you could move it around, left and round, and up and down.
Other than that, the installation went great. We have an interior townhome and our electric panel is on the outside of the wall for the building next to us. So, in order to wire this thing in, the installers had to go up the side of the garage, across the roof, all the way across our townhome, then down into the bathroom. It was a major install and it wasn't convenient at all. I also had some questions as to whether they could even do it. But the installing crew was excellent and I was very pleased with them. They were neat and courteous. They got things done all in a day, which I thought was amazing considering the electrical things. All in all, the tub is lovely and very relaxing. It doesn't take long to fill and it's easy to empty. It's easy to clean, too.
Before we had our American Standard tub, I could not get into or out of my bathtub. So, it's made it much easier to sit down and be able to relax and enjoy a tub. Using a shower is something of an occasion because I have to hold on to a rail in order to keep myself upright. And so, this is really great. All in all, American Standard is a firm and old company that makes great plumbing supplies.

The rep was knowledgeable of the gear. In fact, he had all the information and all the answers to the questions I wanted answered. The tub was installed in my parents' house and they had no problem with the installers. So far, so good. We had a little hiccup with the complimentary toilet that came with the tub though. My mother wanted to make a change and screwed everything up, so it was on her that the problem took place. When I would call American Standard to ask questions about it or figure something out, it took me a while to get to who I needed to talk to and I kept on missing people. They had to call me back, and sometimes, it took two days. Still, it wasn't horrible.

I got online and looked at what Liberation walk-in tubs look like. I had no idea of the cost so, I called for a quote. The representative came to the house and sold me on the idea of it. I asked him how soon I could get it done and he got me taken care of so quickly that my head was spinning. The installation was a little bit of a hassle because the installers had to do some strengthening of the floor because everything in the house that we got is 40-something years old. They had to strengthen everything underneath the tub because it weighed so much.
The two gentlemen who came and installed the American Standard walk-in bath did a good job and I liked what I saw. When I went downstairs and looked up at the rafters, I said there was no way that this thing was gonna fall unless there was an occasional leak or two. And they made sure that there was no way it could leak. Jeff was the one that over-engineered almost 95% of it. The house will probably blow down before the bathtub. It's a very good-looking installation. The walk-in bath has mood lights to put me in different moods and the fragrances put me in a good mood too. And I don't have to pay a masseur.

American Standard was ranked number one so we went with them. Their sales rep was very nice, pleasant, and not pushy. She did not try to hype anything and just told us the facts. She explained that some of the door frames would have to be removed and then replaced once the tub was put in. It was very thorough. She measured everything. The installers were very pleasant and easy to work with. They got the job all done in one day.
The tub was for my wife. She fell and has some issues walking and getting in and out of a regular tub. We thought a walk-in tub was the safest. She loves it. I like it too but I'm used to quicker baths, like showers. But I use it. It's easier to get in and out of and that's the most important part. We like the bubbles and the jets as well.
But I had a couple of problems. One of the dial settings broke. We turned it too far. American Standard sent me the parts to replace it but it was the wrong color. We're getting that fixed now. I haven't received the new linen colored ones, but when they do, American Standard will come and fix it. It doesn't hinder using the tub. It's just some jets you can't use. Customer service was pretty good. We don't like the price of the tub as we always want something cheaper. But we're satisfied. It's a very good product.

Everything was good with my experience with American Standard. They were friendly and they cleaned up everything when they left. They vacuumed my carpet too. They also put a new faucet on and that was the main thing I like. They did everything they said they were gonna do. They did it on time like they said they would. Two days or less. I knew how to use a tub, but they still showed me to do it this way, do it that way, and they showed me everything worked.

The rep knew all the ins and outs. He had worked for a competitor and he could tell us the differences between American Standard and the other company that we were considering. He was very relaxed and personable. He made us so comfortable about the product. He also gave us tips on how to clean it. The installation was great and we're thoroughly enjoying the tub. The tub feels good. I like it. But one thing I have about it that I didn't realize whenever I got it is you can't use too much soap in it. The bubbles take over. If you just use it way down on the low level, it's alright. It's best to go ahead and take a shower in the other bathroom where I can suds up and get good and clean. Then I'll towel off and go sit in the hot tub.

The initial sales guy did a great job at the beginning. He built rapport and knew his product. From the beginning, I told him we weren't gonna do anything that day. At the end, he said, "This is what it's gonna take to deposit today." I said, "I told you we're not gonna do today." He totally flipped the switch, shut down, turned into Eeyore, tucked his tail between his legs, started to pack everything up, and walked out. He wouldn't leave a card or a name. He wouldn't give me a copy of the estimate. I had to chase him out the car and say, "What's going on here? You're shutting us." He said, "Everyone always buys it on the spot. Now, I have to come back if you wanna do it later on." But American Standard did a good job during the installation and it's a good product. It's for my wife and she loves it.

I gave American Standard a call. And one of their reps came out and talked to us about the tub. Once we saw what we like and if it was in a good price range, we'd do it. So, it turned out American Standard was the only company we seriously talked to. The representative had her literature and sales kit. And she sat down and talked to us, found out what we were thinking of doing, got a feel for what we were after. After that, she showed us the product. And we were able to ask her questions. And we just made the decision to move forward.
The installation went very well. The installers knew what they were there to do. And they went in and went after it. It took a little less than a day, and that was great. They showed us everything they did, and showed us how the tub worked. I only have a couple of things that I would do better if I were them. The installation crew was supposed to contact us a day or two before the actual installation to come out and take a look at things, make sure it was all set to go. But we never got a call from them. They just showed up on our door the afternoon before without warning.
We were home. We were able to accommodate them and, but that was a bit of a surprise and could have been inconvenient. On the post-installation side, we had a bit of an electrical problem that took a couple of trips out to solve. They took care of it, resolved that they were committed to doing what it took to make it right. And that was all done before anybody even contacted us about the financing to get the paperwork moving forward. So, nothing moved forward until they were absolutely sure we were okay with the installation and we were happy with the tub.
But there were some minor electrical issues. Putting in the tub took out a couple of our wall plugs. So, there was a circuiting issue. But they took care of it. So, it wasn't perfect. And the last thing was they put up a shower curtain around it, which we requested. Ihas an L-shaped bar that hangs from the ceiling. It connects to the two walls. That bar had a little weight to it. When it comes to the L out there, there was nothing to support it to the ceiling. So, it had this bit of a hang to it from the weight of the shower curtain. And I could see that before long, that would be an issue.
I saw that the rod was 5 1/2 inches from the ceiling where it connected to the wall. But if you followed it out where the weight would start to hit, it was now half an inch lower. I was, “You know what? This isn't gonna turn out well.” I purchased a ceiling bracket made just to support something like that. I ended up installing that. Had I called them, they would have come out and done it. But it was a minor thing. I just wanted to prevent things down the road. But better attention could have been paid to that part of it. We paid a lot for this tub. Other than that, I like the therapy aspects of the tub. You can fill up. And it's quality. We got the tub we expected to get.

I've been thinking about purchasing American Standard for a long time. We had been using either a tub shower combination or a stall shower. It was fiberglass. It was very difficult to clean. Very cramped. I couldn't bend over without knocking my head against the wall. It was very unsuitable. The American Standard rep was very informative, helpful and friendly. He answered all the questions I had. The answers made sense to me.
My son had been doing a lot of research and had recently built a new house. It was up on all of the latest and greatest in the materials and installations. He stuck around during the installation and watched them and was very impressed at the professional job they did. It was a long day. But they finished the whole thing in one day. It's perfect. It's everything that I hope for. It works and it's very easy to use. It's a no-brainer. All the way around, it was very impressive. The salesman told me what to expect and that was exactly what happened. The workmen showed up almost to the minute of when they were expected. They also cleaned up everything. There were just no issues.

The installation was good. It only took about six hours and they were neat and did a good job. I went with American Standard because if something happens to that tub, I don't have to pay. American Standard takes care of it. The quality of the tub is excellent, and I like the jets. The tub helped my wife out a good bit because she gets up with a lot of aches and pains with arthritis. She really feels good about it.

I remembered from being a little girl that we used American Standard in the house like the bathroom had American Standard commodes. So, I went ahead and I called them. The sales rep came out and talked about that tub and how great it was and how they made the best tub. They were the leaders in making tubs. The installers had brought the tub up on the porch, and I managed to roll out there and look at it. It is nice. I've used it once. The only thing that we had a problem with was me getting in and out because it seemed like it was an ordeal.
They only had the one handhold in the tub, the little bar. And that was aggravating because you didn't have much to hold on to. The guy that installed put some more bars. He put them on the wall. He's got a couple of them put that I don't understand why he put them where he put them. They also put my tub in and my commode in, the day tub, and it was lower than the tub I had and not the commode. I can never get off that commode. But as the tub went, it was okay, just felt funny. I'm told it lifts you up. We turned the jets on and it really felt good. I didn't realize how much it was gonna help me till that night. I really felt much better using it.
The guy that installed it filled up the tub before he left to show us how much to put in or before we started the jets. Evidently, my hot water heater is not big enough. I got a 40-gallon water tank. By the time it was getting full, it was running cold. But we managed to deal with it. The only thing that was misleading was the commercial they show you. They showed one where a woman was stressed out there in the tub and had bubbles going. But you have to hold your feet up. I'm not the happiest in the world with it because I was expecting more. But I'm satisfied. I like that when the water was running, the lights were in there, the colors were good. It's not for handicapped people, though. John had to stay with me in there the whole time because as it started filling up, I felt like I was floating in a pool.

My experience with American Standard was good. I liked the price, and it had all the features. For some of the others that I had looked at, you had to pay extra for some of those features. The sales rep did a good job. The installer installed it in a day. It was just the one piece that goes behind the knob on the end, they sent the off-white, and I wanted light white. It was right during my vacation time, so he ordered it to have it shipped quickly to me, and it came the day we were leaving. So, he had to wait until I got back from vacation to come and finish it up. I called him, and he was here that day. I'm loving the tub. It really is good for my back.

I checked different step-in tubs and decided on American Standard. I liked all the features. My favorite is the quick drain. The quality is good, but that door is a little bit tight for me. I’m getting in sideways. The one thing that I've seen strange is when it blows out of the tubes. There's rust that comes out. That was kind of a surprise. My husband uses Epsom salt, and I think that might be what's causing it. As far as the sales rep, he was very helpful and informative. He thoroughly told us everything we needed to know. The installation didn't take very long. I thought it was gonna take two days, but it was done in one day. The installers cleaned it well.

The guy that came in here and talked to us about the tub answered anything we wanted to know. He even gave us some insight on other issues as far as the unit itself. The installation team was like a well-greased machine. They worked very well together. I asked, “How many years have you guys been working together?” They said, “We ain't been working together that long.” Wherever one picked up and did something, the other one went and did another part of it. I was also told that they would not be painting the trim, that it was our responsibility to get it painted.
I love the jets and I was very happy with the whole process. But after they put the tub in, my hot water heater kept tripping. I called them and talked to them about it. We had come to an agreement that if somebody came out and said it was American Standard, they would pay for it. What it was was the circuit for the hot water heater after the one was run for the tub needed to be a larger wire. They have a 20-amp in there and it should have been a 30-amp. An electrician came and took care of it.

The jets and the air thing are good. I've been having trouble with my different joints. It helps a little bit. However, I haven't figured out how to do the aroma thing. We put one of the packages in that little place where you're supposed to put them in. But it wasn't working. I don't know whether you're supposed to do something differently to get that working.

The salesperson of American Standard was very personable. He went through everything. He was very thorough. He showed us all the options. He made sure that we understood which was high-end, which was midland, and the normal things that you would use. I was very impressed with the hot tub feature. He was very knowledgeable about the material that they were gonna use. He explained what they would do when they came in, and what the material was. He made some suggestions for my mom. I really liked him, which was one of the reasons why we went with them.
The gentleman who came in to install was very personable too. He knew what he was doing. He explained that they were gonna take it out. When the crew came in, they covered everything so that they weren't tracking anything through the house. After the tub was installed, he went through all the features and what to do and what not. We were very happy with the crew. They really did a good job. The showerhead is my number one favorite feature. My mom is 95 and it's the magnetic one and it's very easy for her to reach it and use it. The storage inserts into the wall where you can put shampoos, soaps and the corner shelves, were very helpful as well. They also put in a seat where my mom can sit down.

The American Standard salesman came in and explained what the product was. He had samples. He took measurements and he gave us an estimate. The installation happened quickly. They put down the paper through my living room so they wouldn't be walking over the carpet. They had some very skilled people remove the old bathtub and put the new services in. They cut down the tile walls at the bottom. The door frame was too narrow, so they had to take it out and they cut a notch in the wall so they could bring the new tub in. They put it all back together with all new molding and it looks better than ever. The whole process took six hours. They definitely knew what they were doing.
It's a walk-in bathtub and it has Jacuzzi jets. It has bubbler jets and a shower massager. We've only used the bathtub and it works great. It's very soothing and relaxing. It lights up in different colors and it drains really fast. Doesn't take long to fill it either. Stays hot. My wife likes the aromatherapy part of it. It's a little bag of beads and she's only used the lavender, which is supposed to be relaxing and it doesn't smell bad. You put it in a little chamber and it works. It makes the whole place smell like lavender.

The salesperson made sure that I knew what I was buying and explained each different category and showed me all the different types of products. It was clear in understanding the information. The first installation was the shower and the installers had no problems. They kept telling me that it'll be done by the next day and once it was done, they made sure that we knew how to operate everything. The end result was perfect. It was nice and more than what I expected. For the walk-in tub, that as well was the same. They were excellent workers and we had no problems with them. I prefer the shower but my husband loves the new walk-in tub. My husband is 6'3 so he didn’t fit in the previous tub that we had and this one is perfect for him. American Standard is awesome. They're American-made all the way from Texas and what not better to use is US of A. They did a good quality job.

I don't like the way the shower was installed. Where the pole comes out and the shower comes over, it doesn't adjust. Also, when you walk in to get into the walk-in tub, the bottom is slippery. It scares me. If I had my choice, I would have had a walk-in shower instead of a walk-in tub. My husband was insisting that the walk-in tub would make me feel better but it didn't improve my legs at any time.

It was awesome with American Standard. The sales rep was very informative. He knew his stuff. The installers came in, put the tub in, and left everything nice and neat. I'm enjoying using the tub. It has a good feature with the jets, the heat and everything that I had in it to help me out. I try to get in it right before I go to bed. It helps me sleep. I love the quality. I love that it drains in under two minutes. American Standard's been around forever, and most of my toilets and everything are American Standard. The only thing I'm having a problem with that I need to call them and let them know is the bidet doesn't wanna shut off when it fills. I have to pull the lid and flip it.

The quality of work done on the walk-in tub was great. My mother uses it all the time and she said she wouldn't take a million dollars for it. The only thing I was disappointed in was the guy told me that my new 40-gallon hot water heater would be enough to keep up with it. In realty, it's not. I could use some more hot water. My mother doesn't use the water as high as I do. So, with her, it's just fine. But I like a little higher water area.

The sales rep was knowledgeable and friendly. He gave many options that other salesmen didn't. The installation took three days but the installers made sure they were quiet and didn't interfere with our day-to-day things. So it was a good experience. They also showed us how to use the walk-in tub. I got it for my parents and initially, they were a little skeptical. It took them a couple of weeks to get used to it. Sometimes you got to force them to use the tub instead of using the shower more than the tub, and tell them how to be a little bit more patient. But they’re doing okay.

The installation was done in one day, and it went 95% okay. They were not very good when it came to carpentry when they took the door frame out to get the tub in and put the door frame back in. Still, American Standard came up to the standards that I was looking for, which I always had been familiar with as far as American Standard compared to other manufacturers of tubs and toilets. The walk-in tub is excellent. It’s making things easier, and it's gonna help to improve my neuropathy. I haven't been able to tell a big difference yet, but I'm slowly but surely seeing results.

The American Standard rep that initially came out was not as learned as I thought he would be because he told me that we couldn't put the tub in the spare room. They gave us very large rooms in this house, but very teeny tiny bathrooms. The rep said, "No, we can't get it in there, but we can get it in your bathroom, because of the way the doorway was." He told me we had to get the smaller tub. But when the installer came, he said he could and with a bigger tub. The installer brought out the smaller tub and told me to try it. I'm a big woman. I got in it and told him, "This is a little close." He said the bigger tub is about two inches bigger. So he called in and got somebody to bring the tub over and I said, "I want the bigger tub, if it will fit." So they were able to get it in there.
The installers knew exactly what they were doing. They were so clean that I didn't even realize that they even made a mess in there. They brought the tub in and then closed the door. They took the old tub out, they closed the door. We didn't even see anything. They were done in an hour and a half or an hour. They were good. They made sure we knew how to operate the tub before they left. The tub is good and comfortable. I'm a five by five, so I'll be able to get into it. My husband likes the shower part of it. The only thing I don't like about the shower is that they could have used a better showerhead. But I like the jets. I bathe and my husband showers in it.

I like American Standard's quality. The sales rep was excellent. He had brought samples for us to look at. Everything was outlined and he was prepared to give us the information we needed. He could answer our questions with no hesitation. Everything was displayed nicely so that you could really get an idea of what the finished product would look like. He had photographs and everything, so you could visualize it.
The installation was excellent. The people that did it really did an excellent job. They took their time. They didn't rush. It's a beautiful job. It's neat. It's clean. They prepared what they were doing. They cleaned up after themselves. It was almost like nobody was here doing anything. I have MS. It was difficult for me to maneuver into the tub. The sales rep from American Standard came out and showed us how it was going to be done, had a whole slideshow of what we could choose, and even brought samples of it so we could feel it. That was a really good thing because certain things freak my grandma out. So, she was able to feel and be like, “I don't like how that one feels. I like how this one feels.”
The installers did really well. They came out, went over their plan, showed us again, asked us if we changed our minds, then went ahead and started working on it. They weren't messy like I thought they would be, and before they left, they cleaned everything up, too. It only took them like six hours. They walked me, my grandfather, my grandmother, and my uncle through it. My granddad tends to talk a lot, too, and they were really good with telling him, “Hey, okay, we got to get back to this.” They were really good with my grandparents. We have three dogs, and they were really good with them, too. All in all, the whole company was great.

Jets unusable as it splash’s water all over everywhere! Hired our own contractor as we weren’t told it included installation. You have to sit 10 minutes waiting for it to fill up. It’s uncomfortable to sit in. Shower handle is messy/awkward to use. I can only fill tub up to my mid area because of extreme splashing and then waiting to fill while being cold and wet. Epsom salts cannot be used…wish I knew that before. Truly cannot think of any positive in owning this tub. Using it is more aggravating than pleasurable and that makes me sad.

The installer who came to my home lied to us about who he worked for. I found his company name on a brochure he left with us. I checked his company through the BBB and found a bunch of negative reports against them. Luckily I was within my 3-day period and told him to cancel, period. Please everyone, DOUBLE and TRIPLE check everything that you are told and every page of paperwork that you are given. Like me, it might save you a lot of money and heartache.

When I called American Standard, the salesman gave an estimate. He did a heck of a job and sold me on it. He told me everything I needed to know about the tub. He convinced me over their competitor that uses a porous material, so it'd be a nightmare to clean. Anytime I had a question, I could call, and American Standard would answer it. They did great during the installation. They did everything that was in their control. The only problem was the wall guiding that goes around the back of the tub. They said we had to wait. There are three pieces of the wall, and one piece was the wrong size. It was too short. The installer got ahold of the warehouse, and the next day, it was out my door. They came back and installed that one piece.
It's a beautiful tub. My husband is a 70-something-year-old man, and he uses the shower. He likes the fact that he can sit down and watch. The features are great. I don't like the showerhead though. It might be great for delicate skin. But when you want pounding water on your back, you don't get it. Also, it takes a lot of water. I only got a 50-gallon hot water tank. I've gotten that tub spilling and I'm out of hot water. But that's okay because it's still a decent temperature. It's true what they say - it holds the temperature of the water. It also drains quickly. I like it.

Their reps were good. I told them I couldn't afford it and the sales rep said they had another offer that they could extend to me. The installers were also awesome. They always called me and told me when they were going to be here. They always put down things to walk on so they didn't track stuff in my house. When I said, "I have to leave here at such and such a time," they made sure they were finished before that so I'd have time to leave. They were wonderful. The walk-in bath was amazing. I have sciatica and it really seems to be helpful with that. I would highly recommend them.

American Standard has always been responsive to any calls or questions. So, we're very satisfied with the service that we got and the product we received. It's expensive, but it's worth it. The rep came in. He showed us a couple of video clips and went through the information, answered any questions that we had. The installers came in and they, too, answered any questions that we had, and were in and out in the time period that they said that they would be here. The whirlpool is a nice feature, and that the tub is fast draining.

I called several companies, but American Standard was the first one that called me. I was in a rush to get it done, so I went with them. The sales rep was very knowledgeable. He helped me with a lot of questions that I had as to pattern and if I wanted the tub or not. He was very helpful. It's pleasant to take a shower and bath now. I only have that one issue that came up right away after I started using it. You can relax in the tub but I am having trouble keeping it clean because Kenny, who was the agent, told me not to use anything abrasive on the tub. He recommended that I use Dawn. So, I spray the Dawn on it and I use a soft cloth, which is what he told me to do, and it's kind of hard to get those smudges off sometimes. My grandson takes a shower, goes outside, he's barefoot and he leaves the tub quite dirty. So, I have to scrub quite a bit. So, what I'm doing is just leaving the Dawn on there for a while and then I try to go get it.
Kenny also helped with the shower nozzles. He told me that was the spray, and I said, "Well, that's fine, but I don't like the spray. I want to take a shower quick and get out." So, then he recommended the spray and the sprinkle. I like the spray much better because of my hair. It gets the soap off right away rather faster than the little sprinkle. He was helpful in that area. Anything I asked him about the product before the install, he always had some good recommendations on what to use. So, he was very helpful.

The American Standard reps were very informative and helpful. The night before the installation, I got a call. They didn't have the particular seat that we ordered. They said this was an upgrade. My husband was getting an operation on his back and I was thinking maybe this will be better. But it was not. The sales rep gave me a complete outline of what American Standard was for. He showed me also that the work that they do has lifetime warranty. The installers did an excellent work too. They also let me know after they finished everything, that they put up this lifetime warranty. They also cleaned up. The jets are very good. The sales rep of American Standard was very informative. He told us everything that we needed to know about the product. The installers were also very efficient and they worked well. We like their product and all the features that it had, like the Jacuzzi and it kept the water warm. In some of the other tubs, the water cools down after a while. With this one, the water stays warm. The salesman was great too. He explained everything. The installation was good as well. We had a Jacuzzi tub that we never used because my wife couldn't get her legs up and over the tub. We already had electricity to it. That saved quite a bit of money and time. They just used that electrical hook-up. They took the other tub out and put that one in. However, our water heater doesn't fill it up all the way with hot water. We're in the process of getting another water heater.

The sales rep was very knowledgeable. The installation took a couple of days 'cause they had to demolish what was there. They did a good job. The lead guy was very knowledgeable on the measurements. American Standard was really helpful online and gave us a lot of information and some links. We were also able to get a fairly quick appointment. We really liked the person that we worked with. There were a couple of challenges. They were supposed to come on Monday and they confirmed on Sunday. They showed up, but we were supposed to have a tub and they brought a shower. Then, there was a delay because they couldn't do a bunch. They did some prep work. The job wound up being delayed one more day. Instead of Monday and Tuesday, it wound up being a little bit Monday, and then Tuesday, and most of Wednesday till late.
I like the tub itself. We love it. However, the installation wasn't really great. They could have done a better job. Left it a little dirty and saw some marks on the walls. We're still trying to patch up some areas. We didn't use it very much when we were getting the immediate post-call. But it could have been a little bit straighter because there are some issues with water runoff.

I am unable to transfer water flow from faucet to handheld shower spray. Previous problem with water temperature regulation has been solved. A third access panel has been installed in wall backing water flow conduit. Tub was installed prior to Oct. 2022 move-in at a new senior independent living building. Neurology care provider wrote recommendation for tub. In-house maintenance staff and independent plumbers have attempted adjustments to tub between Oct. 2022 and today (June 11, 2023) with less than satisfactory results, given the initial and repair expense plus hoped for but unrealized benefit.

They did real good with the presentation. We wanted it in my husband's bathroom, but it was too small. So we didn't get to put it where we thought we were going to put it, but that worked out. We had to send the first tub back and we got another one, so it made the process a little bit more drawn out. The installers called American Standard and said that we were not happy with the first one, and they were going to get a bigger one. But they left some parts needed to fully install everything. But it all worked out. The installers were good workers and they kept everything cleaned up. They did a good job.
I like the air feature of the tub. It bubbles. Also, the jets feel good. My husband said the tub helps his back if he stays in there long enough and let the jets hit his back. He has a very bad back. He said It made him feel better. I like that we just press the drain button and the water goes out fast. But for the money, the tub is quite expensive. We wouldn't do it again if we had it to go over with.

I wanted a walk-in tub, but it was way too much money. But American Standard told me they also do showers and baths. I was well-pleased with the rep. The installation team was great. They came in and told me what they were gonna do, and I showed them and they got on it. If they had any questions, they'd ask me if that was what I wanted. They were real professional about it. They did a good job. I'm well-pleased with the shower and tub. The only thing is that it was a little bit pricey.

We just had the best of Am Std walk-in tub installed. The tub is fine and the service from the installers was great. However, we were told by the salesman that a 50 gal water heater was adequate to fill this tub. It is definitely not. We purchased a new heater which was an upgrade from our 40 gal heater. I run out of warm water before it reaches past the top jets. You cannot go into Home Depot or Lowes and buy a heater past 50 gal until you go to a 80 gal heater which costs twice as much (over $2,000). So, don't be fooled by the hype that your body mass will take up much of the space in the tub. Your upper body will never get wet. I have yet to get warm water much past my waist. $20,000 is a lot to pay for half a bath. And, yes, that is what you will pay (plus $2,000 for an adequate water heater) to get the full benefit of one of these tubs.

I had seen a brochure from American Standard so I called them. They answered some questions with an explanation that was all right. I told them to send me somebody. They sent out a guy and I signed the contract. Someone named Amy then called and said about financing it. I financed the whole thing. Kevin and Rome then came and they were here a total of two days. They took measurements and they had to take my bathroom door off in order to get the tub in. They first tore out the old tub and showerhead. They got the new tub in, set it in place, and went to work on putting the sides up and sealing them and hooking up all the water and drains. They worked the whole time and the work was very good.
I was very happy with the tub. As a matter of fact, I'm about ready to get into it now because my back's hurting again. I'm intrigued by the lighting but that's just something fancy. In the tub, down on the part by the legs, there are two lights and they come out red, green, yellow, blue, and purple. They just keep rotating colors in the water. It's just relaxing watching the different colors. My favorite would be the jets and the air. There's a thing for jets. It makes it stronger when you hit the "Air" button.
All in all, this tub has helped. I had a major back surgery a year ago. My back hurts and aches a lot. But sitting in the tub soothes it. I recommend American Standard. It was a wonderful experience from the guy that come into the two different girls I talked to on the phone with finance. I talked to another girl on the phone for half an hour or 45 minutes and she answered everything.
My daughter's husband bought her a tub and it wasn't American Standard. I didn't like it. That company was out because they got no jets. I only paid $2,000 more with all the bells and whistles than what they paid for that plain Jane. All she has is a regular walk-in tub that fills up with more water. I have the pump that pumps the water out really quickly. My daughter doesn't have that. With my tub, I fortunately don't run out of hot water before I get it full enough. Two people came out to do the work and it took them about six hours. It was excellent work. The tub relaxes my body. I love the safety of the bars and getting in and out, and pulling myself up. I like being able to shower and rinse myself off with the spray gun.

The rep was very nice and informative. There was one thing that he didn't tell me but that got straightened out by the guy who worked on the tub. It all turned out fine. The techs were cordial. But the guy forgot to send me a half shower curtain. He was going to bring it back to me but he's from out of state so that's a long way for him to come for a shower curtain.

The salesperson was thorough, and he tried to sell me the top-of-the-line, but when I said that's out of my price range, he went down to something more that I was looking for. He was good and not overly aggressive. Installation was also good because it only took a day. They were extremely polite, nice, and accommodating, and I like the way they finished the look around the tub after they installed it. The tub is well made and everything on it works like it should. I like that it drains fast. Push a button and it pulls the water out. The area around the legs is big though. It takes a long time to get it to where I'm feeling the water where I sit. It's too much. The door is very difficult to close and open too.
The installers brought the tub into the house and they had me sit in it before they installed it, just to make sure. I couldn't close the door by myself. I didn't have the strength to do it. When the company is selling these mostly to seniors or people with disabilities, if they're not able to open and close that door by themselves, then that means they have to have someone help them. It almost defeats the purpose of the walk-in tub that they're supposed to be able to get in and out without a problem. I also don't like that the tub is too high. I would have liked it to be more shoulder length so that I can lean my head back on something. I have to sit up straight. My brother also has a tub and it's not as high. I like his tub much better, but he was here, and he liked the quality of my tub a lot. Overall, I would recommend American Standard.

We had a salesman come out, take a look at everything, tell me about what was going to happen, and explain how the tub worked. It has a motor in it similar to a washing machine. So instead of having to sit there and letting the water drain out like it would a normal tub, it sucks it out so that I only have to be in the water itself about a minute and a half before I can get out of the tub. It drains so quickly.
American Standard gave me an approximate schedule time, then they scheduled it. The next contact was them telling me they were going to be there the next day, and they arrived right on time. The workmen that were here assured me that this was not their first rodeo, and I had confidence in them when they expressed what they could do. I was comfortable that they were going to get it done in two days. We have a small bathroom and they had to open up our door jamb because it wasn't wide enough, then they had to replace the door. They had some serious work they had to do to cut the door jamb out, but they accomplished everything a bit faster than they said they would.

My husband has a walker, so they were careful to be sure that he would be safe getting up to the other bathroom. Now, my husband feels safer with the tub.

When their salesman came, I really wasn't in the mood that day. But within 30 minutes, the guy had changed my mood. But he wanted me to sign the deal then and I said, "No, I can't do that." He offered me some incentives and it sounded like a good deal so I did it that day. So, he told me what was gonna happen. He gave me a lot of assurance which made me feel good. When the techs showed up, they were everything he promised and then some. I've never seen people work that hard. I was totally impressed with them. If anybody asks me about a walk-in tub, I'd refer them. The tub I got is very comfortable and I like the jets. It's very relaxing and it really massages your body very well.

They were very pleasant and I liked them. Our tub has chair rails and the seat with the arms that could be pushed up. We also have the shower with the wand and an insert in the wall for shampoo.

The sales rep I had was really good and the guys who put together my American Standard walk-in were awesome. We're in a modular home, so the ceilings are not even. They cut the sides and the back of the walk-in perfectly to go all the way to the top of the ceiling. I would recommend them. The walk-in is beautiful and it's pretty large. I love the shower things but I'm having a problem with the water. I'm supposed to be able to push the button and have one shower go. There are two showerheads. There's a hand-held and there's a bigger one. When I turn it off and I turn it back on, either the hose or the hand-held or the other one just stops. It happened a couple of times and I'm hoping it'll just stop. But I will call them because that's not cool.

The rep I worked with did a great job and he was very helpful. I purchased a walk-in tub with shower and the installers did well. They had to come back and rework their caulking to make it look better. They were out within two days of me talking to somebody about it. But other than that, they did a good job. Plus, they installed a new commode and bidet. That's wonderful too. We love our new tub. It's everything that we want. American Standard is a good company to go with. They did us right. It's a bit expensive but when you get our age, it's better to spend the money if it's gonna make you feel better.

The walk-in tub was just wonderful. The two installers who installed it were very precise and would ask us about things. They were very good and got the job done. It took about six hours because they had to redo the door because it wouldn't fit but everything is fine. I just sit in the tub and all these little bubbles come up, and I feel so much better after I get out. I like everything about the tub so far. It's still new to me and right now, it's perfect. My husband has a friend who is a master electrician and he said that it's the next thing he was going to have put in. And he said he's gonna call American Standard.

The molding and contours of the tub are fine. The safe no-slip floor, the seat are fine. However, the diverter for handheld shower -to -faucet is impossible for me to push/pull. The quick drain is well done, BUT its control button is very inexact, hard to engage At first I didn't understand the long time needed for the "fill." As a comparison I turned on the nearby Delta shower which can send water to the tub (very much separated from the American Standard faucet and controls) and the fill was at least 2x faster than the "smaller bore" American Standard. I am most certainly not one to complain to a manufacturer, (my family has experience in that part of the US economy). I will get the plumber over here again....but I do not feel right about recommending this tub to friends. It's such a disappointment; I've believed in AmerStan all my years. Not with this purchase!.

American Standard came out, gave us a quote and told us what they could do for us. The three gentlemen that came over my house and did the installation were wonderful. They were so focused on getting that bathroom done before one day. They cleaned up their mess. I was very tickled to meet them. My husband thought it was very expensive, but we had to have it done because our bathroom was falling apart. American Standard gave us what we wanted and that made it even better. The consultant as well as the installers were very nice men, but only one of the installers spoke English. American Standard had to put off the installation twice, so they took money off of the price that they quoted us and once they got the date set and came by, they had the tub set up in one day. The tub is excellent quality. We like the safety features and the step in ability. We had a tub where we had to step over, and with our age, we wanted something we could just walk into. Also, we bathe our dogs in there, and they're big dogs. Overall, we're very satisfied, and we would highly recommend American Standard.

The company name American Standard says a lot for what I expected to get. They have a good name. They usually put out a good product. The woman that came in to speak with us about it was very informed. And she had samples of what we would be getting installed. However, they kept having to put off the installation because she did not want to schedule a time for them to come out until she was sure that we had all parts available. And she waited for some of those to come in. So, we kept ending up pushing it out. But the installers were very fast, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. We love the tub and that it's not a tub with a drain. That's neat.

We called and got an in-home estimate and American Standard Walk-in Baths was very nice, knowledgeable, and within our price range. The salesman was very professional. He had a suitcase full of brochures and a PC with videos on it. He showed us actual examples of the showerhead and the buttons. He was very good. Also, the installation took a lot less time than we thought. We thought we would be there all day but the installer and one man were done within four hours. They were very clean, prompt and helpful to explain all the ways the tub worked.
One thing they did that I did not know about was when they put it inside our space, they fitted it with a surrounding wall and shelf that made it look built in, and they did an excellent job. The backing behind the shower and the shelf were very nice. I like the way it turned out. One of the knobs broke within a week, but they were very quick to come out and fix that. We were pleased with that. Our tub has air and water, but I like the water jets the best.

I was having difficulties with the repair of my 7 year old American Standard tub that stopped working. At the same time, I was interested in putting in a shower in a separate bathroom. The salesman that I talked to about the shower thought he was talking to me about the shower, but he ended up helping me with the tub. I explained the situation and he was very good at getting me to the people who needed to help me with the tub problem. When we did the shower, he was also very competent and informed. It was a good purchase experience.
But the repairman that was assigned to me to do the tub was very unresponsive. I dealt with the repair people with American Standard who are based somewhere in Texas and said to them that I was very unhappy. They replaced the repairman I have with a different tech and he was excellent. He was efficient and he communicated with me. He kept me informed as to when he was coming.
At this point, I had already selected a shower but I informed American Standard that until the tub got repaired, I wasn't gonna go ahead with it. Also, I told them I would not work with the original person that was supposed to be doing the repair work. So the gentleman who repaired the tub came back and installed the shower three weeks later. He worked with an assistant and the two of them were very efficient. They communicated with me as to where to place everything in the shower in terms of grab bars and soap dishes. That guy was everything I expected I would get from American Standard.

We liked what American Standard had the in-line heater and the quick drain feature. Both caught our attention. A couple of the other companies had it as well but it was an option. You had to buy extra to get it. The sales rep we had was Zach and he was excellent. He came to our home, checked out where we wanted the tub, and measured everything. He then sat down and went over everything with us such as how it worked. He even had samples of the faucets and the spouts so we could tell the quality of what we were gonna purchase. That was great for us to be able to touch and feel samples like that.
The installation team showed up and in four hours, they were done. There were three of them and each one had a specialty. One was doing the electric matters and one was doing the plumbing. They all pitched on the demolition and the reinstallation. After it was reinstalled, they filled the tub with water and brought us in, and showed us all the features. They were so respectful. They put down cloth on our hardwood floors so they wouldn't mark them up. They just went to work. Compared to the other contractors we had that come in and were just yah-yahning around and leaving all kinds of scraps behind, these guys were excellent. They had to cut some wood and different things. When they left, there was no sawdust in the driveway. They cleaned up perfectly. The tub is excellent and we love it. We enjoy it all the time. We're older and arthritis is creeping into the knees and hands. This tub really helps out.

The salesman was knowledgeable on equipment and the tech guy that came out was spectacular. He took the time to explain, the whole nine yards. He apologized because he was probably going to have to break the tub to get it out and he also said that it's gonna be a little noisy from time to time, and he'll try to keep the noise down as much as possible. He was totally elated because he was able to get the tub out without breaking it. He had to take a doorframe down and widen another door, and did it all in a day. I have no problems with the way he handled himself and he only had one other person working with him. They were friendly and courteous.
My wife loves the walk-in tub. She's still trying to get used to the jets, getting them focused right. One of the things she needs are the jets on her ankles and her feet, and she was having problems with that but we solved the problem. You can't work the jets in the tub without putting water and filling the tub with water, which is not a big issue so we got that resolved too. She enjoys the daylights out of the walk-in tub. Everybody at American Standard was fantastic and it was a great experience, if anybody wants to do it. I only got one problem with this whole deal, which is American Standard doesn't have insurance on the tub. There's a warranty on it but it doesn't cover what they call a natural act, like a hurricane or a flood.

The salesman made me think I was getting the jets I wanted in the step down tub. I couldn't afford the $25,000 tub. I asked him if it had all the same features and he said yes. Well it wasn't what he said. It didn't come with back jets. The most important ones. I'm sad over this as I'm disabled and this would have helped me. $15,200 I thought was high too. But that's what we paid for a basic model walk in tub.

The gentleman was very knowledgeable. He helped me determine what I needed, and helped me select out different choices. American Standard guaranteed that everything with the installation would be done within 24 hours. The installation team was great. They arrived on time like they said they were going to. They arrived at 9:30, and they were done by a little before 7:30. So it was a good day. They ran into three different problems that they corrected without issue. They didn't know about it ahead of time, but they managed to solve them. So that made me happy as well.
When I put in the request to hear something from somebody, I was called within less than 12 hours. They scheduled an appointment with me within the next two weeks. As soon as the tub was ready and the stuff was in for install, they called and set it up within a week. They did everything they said they were gonna do when they came out and installed it. So the whole experience was great. It turned out exactly like I wanted. They did a great job. They were very friendly and on time and professional. They left my bathroom cleaner than before they arrived.

The rep came to our house and the gentleman was very congenial, knowledgeable and wasn't in any hurry. He sat down with us and went over things, and looked at where the walk-in bath would be placed. The presentation was very professional. There was one connection for the plumbing that the installers did not have. So, they went as far as they could on that day and then came back the next morning and finished up through that morning. So, it worked out very well. Our construction was new in the house and one of our concerns was with regards to the hook-up and for the plumbing as well as the electric. I'm just observing and they would update me in regards of how things were. They did a run through to make sure there weren't any leaks and explained how things would go and how things were operated. But that was shown to us even in the demonstration presentation because they had a short video too.
My wife uses the walk-in bath the most because she has arthritis problems so she's more likely to soak in that than I am. But our concern was how she could still use that facility if she was immobile, which was why we decided to go on the one that we wanted in case we had to use a Hoyer lift to place her in. We've been very pleased with that.

The sales rep with American Standard gave me all the information I needed and worked with me on it. After I had purchased the tub, I changed my mind on one thing. All I had to do was call, and that was changed just like that. The installation was even better. After they got the tub installed, they cleaned up the area. There wasn't anything broken or damaged and it was done within the day. Afterwards, they went through the tub and its functions. They told me they would stay as long as I needed them to stay. I had questions after they left, they gave me a phone number and told me I could call.
It would have been better if I had more space for them to put the tub in and I could have got a bigger tub. But they worked with the amount of space that I had. I like the tub but the thing that I would have wanted and I didn't know anything about it until after I have gotten the tub was a heated seat feature. This one doesn't have it so it's cold when you're sitting down on the seat, getting the water in.

From the beginning to the end, my experience with American Standard was very good. They were knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The installers did a good job cleaning up after they got through installing. They had to come back the second day because of a part they had to get. They had to get a longer extension cord for the toilet to the wall because they had to install it way up high because of the way my walls were. I've got a very bad back and I like the air bubbles bubbling my back. They feel good after I get the massage.

The installer did a fantastic job. We thought he was gonna have a helper, but he did the installation by himself. He kept things clean while he was working and after the job, he cleaned up very well. I'm enjoying the tub. It's been a big help to me. If I have to do it over again, I wouldn't even have to think about it. I would go with American Standard.

A gentleman came to our house and explained to us all about the tub and its benefits. We liked the idea because of our age, we can get down in the tub, but we can't get back out. So this was perfect for us. The install experience was perfect. We had two young gentlemen here and they did the work in one day and it was to perfection. They showed up around 8:30, got all their equipment out of the vehicle and spread everything out the way they needed to use it. Then they proceeded to work and by four in the afternoon, they were done. It feels good to get in the tub. It has grab bars and the floor is coated with something so it's not that slippery, and it's safe.

The sales rep was great. She came in, sat down, and we went over things step-by-step. She was here quite a while. The installation guy was wonderful. The team came in and they had some extra stuff they had to do because I needed more power. The tub was gonna shut off my power to my house. So, they fixed that. American Standard is a reputable company. They've been around a long time. We had one thing they didn't have to do and we received a $1,200 check from them as a reimbursement. Everything has been fine.

An American Standard sales rep called because I inquired on the internet that I was interested. He was terrific. As far as the installation, there was a little issue with the original order. They thought there was a change in it, but there wasn't. That was what slowed them up. So, it wasn't done in one day. They got it mixed up with someone else. Other than that, we're very happy with everything. We have the tub and bidet. The tub is great. We use it once a week. We use it to shower, but we fill it and use the Jacuzzi part once a week. We have to pay for our water. So, we're a little conservative in that respect.

I called American Standard and a man came out and showed me the fixtures and a couple of videos of how it would be. My bathroom had a small shower and he said it would fit in there, so I decided to get one and he took the measurements. Then, they installed the tub in just two days and they did a good job. They laid down protection for my floor.
The walk-in tub is really nice and it's more than I expected. I can sit down and take a shower in there. It has a handheld shower and chromatherapy lights. I changed from a plain, ordinary shower that wasn't all that safe to a central shower. I feel safer and it's easier to get in and out than my old shower. Also, their customer service is good. I ordered a part from them because in the thing that holds the shower head, there's a bar that slides up and down and a little rubber thing came out. They ordered the part for me and it came in, but I'm waiting for a technician to come out and install it. They said that they would be contacting me when a technician is available.

American Standard's rep did a good job of explaining what was going on and what we were getting. He was very knowledgeable of his products. They did a great job of installing the tub and making it fit in the room that we put it in. The installation was within the time limit. And they cleaned up everything. The tub seems to be a high quality. And the features are what they advertise on them. It has a good door on it that closes and seals. It drains quickly. We use the pump. I like the way the shower works in it. And the tub does a good job as far as what we looked for it to do. It made it easy for my wife to get in and out of the bathtub. It's safer.

Holly, the American Standard rep I worked with, did a wonderful job. I had no questions that weren't answered. She presented what I wanted to look at. It was like she's got second sight. She read my personality well. The installers were fine too. I only have one problem. They told me how to use the little sacks of stuff that put the smell out. But the first time I used it, it got all over the tub. I threw it away and I don't intend to use any of the others. I'm still getting a stray flake once in a while. I just don't think that's a good feature. But that would not have played into whether or not I bought American Standard or not. That was a very little thing.

American Standard's sales rep was excellent and we didn't have any questions because she covered everything with us. Then, the installation did not even take a whole day. The installers came in the morning and were gone by around 3:30 that afternoon. All three of the workers were so polite and courteous to us. And in our house, they put down tarps and kept the dust down. They went out of their way to keep the house as clean as possible and they cleaned up when they left. We got the walk-in bath for my mother because she's 85 and she loves it. She would stay in there until it shut off on its own and that's pretty good for her at her age. It also massages her muscles and she feels really good when she gets out. But two of the non-skid strips that they put down on the bottom already came off. The others seem to be holding right now and we still got enough there that we're okay with it. If more of them come off, then I will have to call American Standard.

The sales rep who came to the house and the installers were very nice and knowledgeable. There were two installers and they were excellent. Right after they put the tub in, an American Standard rep wanted to know how they did. They did a very good job and I was very impressed with them. I haven't used some of the stuff, like aromatherapy and the light, but I like the jets and bubbles. The only thing I would tell the tub company itself is, "You better tell people when they get in the tub that if they want bubbles and jets, they better do that first before they do any cleaning." Because by the time I got ready to shut the whole thing down, I had two or more foot of bubbles. That was just from bath wash, and I use very little. I kept saying, "I'm not sure how I'm gonna get out of here with all these bubbles." I thought the minute I turned the jets off, the bubbles would all disappear, but no. They stay a long time.

The techs were very communicative. They had to tear up some tiles because they took out the old shower and bathtub. So, there were places where the tile was not completed. They don't finish up where the tile doesn't match. So, unless you have the pieces from the previous installation of the tile, you won't find an exact match for what you're trying to do. Luckily, I thought about that ahead of time and I had the pieces. I just had to do it myself.
They also changed the toilet systems. Those came with bidets which really help us. Also, I can always call up American Standard for questions we develop as we go along. American Standard is not gonna be cheap but consider all the things you need and whether they can provide those for you.

The sales rep from was nice, knowledgeable and courteous, and he explained everything. The installers came and started right to work. The installation took about two days. To just soak in the bubble bath and the shower, the stand-up or sit down, is our favorite feature of the American Standard walk-in tub. And my wife has an injury and she can't stand up long, so she can sit down and rest when she needs it.

The sales representative gave us a price and my husband counter-offered, and he went down the hallway and supposedly talked to his superior. Then, he came back and said they will take it. When we signed the papers, he rushed through it and I did not pay attention to the price, and he still kept the original price on instead of giving the price we offered that he said they had accepted. But American Standard rectified it for us. Anytime you start messing with inside the house and redoing stuff, you’re gonna have some mess, but the installers were good and organized on how they did it. And when they left, it was just like when they came in. They did a super job on putting it in and cleaning up afterwards. It took them one day and a few hours the next day.
Specs, the one in charge, kept us up-to-date on everything and walked us through what they would do, and showed us as they had completed one job. He let my husband look at it to make sure that everything was properly done. My husband and I both have bad back trouble and we were impressed with the jets and all that was in it. It has made a big difference in our backs when we turn the jets on. The floor is not slippery like some are and my husband could just step right into the tub instead of climbing over it. There’s a pool bar on the tub and one on the wall. When we have anybody come in, we show the walk-in tub to them. We enjoy it.

I got the walk-in tub with all the bells and whistles. It has colors for the water and bubbles everywhere. The installers had it in one day but I couldn't use it for 24 hours as we had to wait for all the sealants to heal and age. With it, I can open the door, sit down and do all the washing and cleaning without my husband having to worry about me falling down. I also got a bidet for my toilet with the tub.
I had an issue when the water leaked into the basement. I called them and didn't use the tub for a couple of days 'til the techs came out. We figured it out and determined it was because I had the drain speed-up going where the tub could drain in three minutes while my husband flushed the toilet. The plumbing could only handle so much water at once.

A lady came to the house and was really nice. She took the measurements and we talked about what the tub was. The installers did a crackerjack job putting it in and it works fine. We set a date and the guys came. They were very on time and polite. They were so courteous. They worked their butts off on their first day. They were trying to get it all done in one day. It's just a situation they couldn't help it and I understand that. They had to come back the next day to finish up but it wasn't long. It was maybe two hours on the second day and they were basically touching up what they had to finish and make sure everything was okay. They walked us through how to use the tub. They did great work.
American Standard is top-notch. I just had a knee replacement and that tub works great with that. I go sit in the tub and turn the jets on. I feel better so much better. It's easy to get into and get out of the tub too. The only thing was when they put the toilet in, it was a lot bigger than the one we had. I'm tickled with it, but it's just a little tight there in that aspect.

I like the no pressure sales of American Standard versus the several other companies I had come out. Their product is well-known, they had good reviews, and the gentleman who came out to work with me was up-front and a straight shooter. I didn't have to listen to two hours of a presentation before they would tell me my price.
They were able to fulfill the timeline that they promised. They made sure everything was set up. Two gentlemen arrived for the installation. They prepped the area and told me what they would be doing. They verified all the information because I was having the wall cut in half. They were very thorough. The sheetrock is not waterproof around it which would cause mold issues. They installed a panel to protect, cut out the areas and made sure that there was waterproofing behind it. They also lowered the spigot because the faucet was up too high causing a splashing effect. They have good craftsmanship and did an amazing job. Everything was spotless. We're very pleased. I've been enjoying the tub. As a teacher, being able to come home and soak in a bathtub at the end of the day has been very zen.

Job has not been completed yet due to lackadaisical attitude, having to do some things twice, damaged parts needing replacement from factory, have not heard from installer on when they plan to finish the job. We need this shower and we were told one day installation with possible finish up on 2nd day. I need to hear from someone about completion date and I expect a reduction in amount owed for all inconvenience, frustration and false information from everyone I have dealt with!!

The sales rep kept calling the installers and he told me, "You have to take a smaller tub because a bigger one won't fit." When the installer got here, he said, "Yeah, you could have gotten a bigger one." My roommate would have really appreciated that because it's tight for him. Still, the sales rep was freakin' awesome and the installers were amazing. They asked me if I needed a zero clearance and I said no. Right after that though, since October, I've gotten really sick two different times, two different ways, and almost died. Now, I wish I had the zero raise on it, but it's okay. I can still do it, so it's no problem. The tub uses a lot of water, but that's okay too. The bubbles are great, and I love the lights even though I don't always use them. I don't use the aromatic thing as well. Those little things are stupid. I also can't lay back and rest. I still have to sit up. Other than that, I love the tub.
However, the tub does not work as described. The reps said the jets would help my neuropathy and my legs, and I can't even feel the jets. They said, "Adjust them and aim them." We've done all that. Even when I put my hands down in there, I can't feel it. The jets don't work. Also, when I turn the thing to open and close the valve at the bottom that lets water in and out, the long little knob on that thing keeps falling off, then my caregiver has to reach way down in there and find that damn thing and put it back on so we can close or open it. I want to talk to American Standard about the jets and the open-close valve. I have rep's number, but he doesn't answer anymore.

The guys who installed my tub were wonderful and they can come and install another one at my house anytime they want. They were friendly, showed me how to use it and cleaned up their mess. I love the tub. The massage, bubbles and air are my favorites. American Standard is great. They have been around for more than 100 years. We had them in our home when I was a kid and people should look at that very seriously. It may be a little more expensive, but it's covered from stem to stern for as long as you own the house that you're living in.

I've had my knee surgery, and now I'm enjoying the American Standard tub. The representative had an honest approach. He impressed me as being very honest and very forthright in his product and he wasn't pushy. Although, he did offer me an incentive if I signed on the line that day. The incentive was the same thing as the amount that I had to pay for the downpayment. So, that didn't impress me that much. I like that the tub was produced in Texas, but if I had to do it again, I would go through my local plumber because he said, "Why did you not ask me? Because I could have done the same job for half the price."
As far as the installation, they did a good job. My tile was already cracked because my original bathroom was installed in the late '70s when we moved out here. They didn't do any more damage to the tiles. They were able to get everything in there in a small bathroom, which serves my purposes. They did a grand job for two days. They came one day and they tried the tub outside and said it was leaking. They installed it on the second day, so I was able to use it. Everything had to dry out, so it was ready to go within three days. I've recommended American Standard to several people, but I also say, "Go and check with the local plumber because they can probably do the same thing for half the price."

I am very disappointed with the tub. A door is peeling, the handle is cracked, plumbing leaks, the drain will not stay open requiring the power drain to be used to drain the tub and the jets are impossible to get the crude out. I keep getting UTI's since I purchased this tub and my husband has had a constant rash. I have called for service multiple times for over a month. Waiting for parts is what I am told. I wish I never bought this tub!!

Go with American Standard Walk-in Baths. Check it out. I like them. They're a good company. The guy was the same person that sold us the shower. He responded. And we went with them again. But the installers had trouble getting the tub here because some of the guys didn't show up for the crew the first time. And the second time, the guy called me up, said he came down with COVID. So, we rescheduled again. He sent the other members of the crew. They came a day or two later. They demonstrated the tub to us. I watched them when they put stuff in. They did it professionally.

The sales rep was very professional and he knew what he was talking about. He answered all of our questions and he took his time. The guys who did the installation were very professional as well. They showed me how they were doing stuff at each phase of the installation, then they went ahead and showed me how to go ahead and use the tub as well for my mom. They got it done in a day and so far, the walk-in tub is great. My mom really likes the jets a lot and it helps with her circulation. All in all, American Standard was really easy to work with. All of their staff that we interacted with knew what they were doing and were very friendly.

The sales rep gave us a good presentation. It was interesting, very educational, and we enjoyed it. I wasn't present during the installation, but after the installation, the team came over to my residence and explained everything to me. They also gave the instructions to my tenant on how to operate the tub. One of the tenants said they enjoy the tub. It makes them feel a lot better when they get out. I noticed there's no one local that will be able to service the tub if we needed something done overnight or the next day, but other than that, everything is all right. I would tell people to be prepared to spend some money though. I chose the Liberation Tub, which is the top of the line.

American Standard and their warranty was better. They sublet the installation and supervised it, while the other company did not. The rep came in during installation. We appreciated him. The installers had questions. He made a special trip to the house and resolved the issue for us and for them to everybody's satisfaction. I know somebody who has a American Standard walk-in tub, and they were very pleased with it. The American Standard rep who came to the house was a very nice and knowledgeable fellow. The installers seem to really know what they were doing and to tear everything. The product is expensive, but it was well done. The installation was well done, and the tub is working great. I only have one little thing that's bugging me. The caulking was put in around the tub, and as it has dried, little areas have opened up. I've asked to have the installer call me or for somebody to find out. I want to know what type of caulking was used. I want to make a repair on it because those holes are there and yet I can't get anybody to tell me what the product is.

My experience has been quite good. The thing that impressed me the most was the person who came in and installed the tub. His personableness, professionalism, and skill levels in terms of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, were astoundingly wonderful. He was able to handle all of that. He was prompt too. The job ended up taking him longer than they thought. Around 5:00, he asked how late they could work. They stayed on and completed the installation. They left at 10:00 that evening. They really put in the time.
One negative thing is cost. The prices are pretty steep but the quality and features of the tub are fantastic. Also, there are a couple of slight things that need catching up on. When we signed up, a curtain rod and curtain was involved but those didn't come. Either the rep didn't bring it or it was not provided to him. He said the next time he was coming in this direction, he would stop by and install those. There are some places where there's not enough caulking. There are also bumps and bruises on the interior wallpaper and one scrape on the door frame going in. It was really tight getting the tub into. In fact, the installer took down one side of the door frame to have more room. He was able to put it back and you can hardly tell that it has come off, which was great.
You owe it to yourselves to get in touch with American Standard. We looked at one of their tubs at a local plumbing store here in New Iberia. It's an identical tub to the one that we got and the prices seem reasonable. But I feel much more comfortable doing the total thing with American Standard because of the warranty of not only the equipment but also the work.

We found a couple places, made a few phone calls, and American Standard came out and did an estimate. Bruce was the salesman and was very good. They explained what would happen, as far as getting it in, what door they have to use, and how wide. It's in the master bathroom. He claimed that they might have to widen the door a little bit to get it in. That would have cost about $800.
There was the whole procedure about them having to take the old tub out and putting the new toilet in. He gave us an estimate date of when it will be done. Luckily, they had a break and they came out sooner. They did everything in one day. They didn't have to expand the door or anything like that. They didn't have to tear the door down or rebuild it. The tub fit right in there. I was reimbursed because in the estimate and the charge, they added that price.
They were good and were happy as could be. I like to joke and kid around. When they got done, he explained how you do this and that. I said, "Well, how do you turn the Bluetooth on?" He says, "Sir, I've never seen any with a Bluetooth." I said, "The salesman said it came with Bluetooth, that's why I bought it." He said, "Sir, this does not have Bluetooth." That aside, my wife uses the tub every day.

American Standard provided what they said they would. That was what I was expecting. Their sales rep was very thorough and he explained what the project would entail. During the installation, there was some sort of delay at first. That had to do with the equipment not being delivered. But outside of that, once they got the equipment, it was satisfactory and quick. The tub is very good and I like the fact that it's a walk-in tub. I'm 84 years old and it just made it easier to take a bath. I’ve had a good experience and I would recommend American Standard.

The reps knew what they were doing. There was no pressure and the tub went along with what I wanted. The installers took three days because they had to reframe my old tub. It was a lot of expense on their part because they had to buy lumber to reframe. We were very grateful for the two techs who worked there. They did a wonderful job. I love my walk-in tub and the showerhead is my favorite. I have the rain one. I lift it up and wash my hair. The only thing I didn't like is that it has to be full before I can turn the jets on. I recommend American Standard. Get their product.

I was not happy with the installation of my American Standard. It took them a whole week to get this in. The guys they sent out were a guy and his brother, but they were never here together. One of them would come. Then when they got through, in my bathroom where they had to run the wires, they left them just like that, speckled. They didn't paint it. So I've got red and white walls in there. But I've got diabetes and a really bad neuropathy and I needed something to help relieve the pain. Since having the American Standard, I can sleep at night now. My favorite feature is the 44 jets.

The sales rep had knowledge of the product and gave a good presentation. I bought a tub and the install took about 8 to 10 hours. The installers had to fit it into the room and they had to take parts of the wall out and put it back. They did a very good job and they cleaned up everything. Everything was very good, and I like it when I fill up the tub, turn on the bubbles and the jets and just sit in there and relax. I've done it a few times. I would tell friends I like my American Standard tub, and if they want to, they could come over and try it.

The rep was awesome. She was very informative and answered all our questions. The crew that came in for the installation listened to what our concerns were. They either corrected it or laid out theories that it was not necessary and showed us why. They did well because they had to battle bad weather at that time in order to get here.
I've used the American Standard walk-in tub more in the last four months than I used the soaker tub that I had the 20 years that I've been in this house. I like the water jets and the air massage. However, American Standard should have more variety as far as what's available for the fixtures that are on the tub instead of being straight chrome. They should offer things like brass nickel. I got a chrome hardware up there, but I got a brass nickel for the rest of the bathroom.

I knew of the American Standard name and I trusted it. They were so friendly. And when they came out, they knew everything. They knew what they had. My mom had questions, they were able to answer immediately. And when they came out, they were very professional. American Standard told us that it would take two to three days to get the tub installed and they had it installed in three hours. They got everything done. We've been very pleased. The woman that came out and presented to us did a very thorough, good job, and we went with American Standard. Even though it was a little pricier than we expected, it seems to be worth it. The install guys were very thorough and knowledgeable. They got the job done and explained everything in great detail. We couldn’t be happier. The walk-in tub is everything it should be. The only thing is if we use the tub feature in it, not the shower, that the water at the bottom of it tends to start to cool down a little before it's full, but there's nothing that can really done about that. Other than that, the product looks good, and my mom likes the bubbles. That's a good product, and we’re very happy with it.

American Standard is one of the best companies, if not the best. I called them for a walk-in tub and their rep came out to my house. She was here for about three hours and she was very good. When the installers put in the tub, they slipped in a good piece of plywood underneath it but it's over rotten wood. Also, I should have had my floor replaced before I had the tub put in. I had a wood floor and when my husband put it in, he used real wood and he highly polyurethaned it. But you shouldn't put wood where there's water. So I started getting mold and there was mold in the corner right where the tub was put in. I've got somebody right now replacing my floor. They had to take the wood up completely and the mold was spreading. Other than that, I use the tub all the time. It's very good and it should be for what I paid for it.

About 1 year in I noticed a leak on the door when I used the rapid drain function. So I called for service. It took 3 months for the Service team to get out. When they got out they stated I needed a new handle. That took another 3 months to deliver. Then another month for the service team to return and not have the appropriate tools to make the change effective. So, they rigged the handle and said I'd be able to use the tub in two days. When I attempted to use the tub the handle did not hold and the tub flooded my bathroom.
The service team took another month to return and stated I needed a new door. They stated they would order one. Three months more have passed and the last time I called they still had no idea where the door was or when it would deliver. I have faithfully made my payments and find it an atrocity that this company would neglect an obvious flaw in their product. I suggest no one purchase a walk-in tub from American Standard.

I had not been well for many months when the "tub" was selected and even had difficulty walking in and looking at it while it was being put in. Unfortunately, when the tub was being selected and installed I had no idea that any of the walk-in tubs were designed so that the only thing that could be done was to sit on a bench that goes across the middle of the tub and also stand up in a small section at the front of the tub. It is not possible to actually be "in" the water except at the front and only from the knee on down or for a couple of inches on the bench.

The sales rep of American Standard was a nice guy. Got along with our dogs. The crew was also great. Some things I didn't quite understand, but they put up plastic everywhere and protected the floors. The only problem they had was the first tub that they brought down here had some defect in it that they discovered, so they had to get another tub. The installation ended up taking three days, but they did a really good job where they cut the door jambs and they put the bathroom back like it was.
My only problem with the tub is it’s very hard for me to get my chest and torso underwater. I realized that’s a sitting tub, and if you sit there, it’s great for your lower back, but my shoulders are my biggest problem, so trying to get down to where I'm getting some action on them is hard. It would also be nice if they could turn the pressure of the bubbles down a little bit because it tends to splash out. We also had a 40-gallon water heater and it just wasn't enough so I ended up putting in another 30-gallon water heater in series with it so that we now have enough water to fill it up hot. But my wife loves the tub. She can sit in it. She's a little shorter than I am, so she's not too bad.

The installation of our American Standard wasn't what we expected. One thing that Tom, our in-home salesperson said, was that it would just take a couple of days. Five days later, they were still struggling to get it done by the end of the week. One of the two guys seemed to be left to do a lot of it on his own. But Luke did a great job as the electrician. He gave us a lot of confidence in his work. He always had a great way about him.
It was a tight fit in the bathroom. They had to take out the toilet and a lot of stuff and they had to put insulation in the walls. But everything turned out looking pretty nice. It got done in good order and they cleaned up very well afterward. We had minor disagreements, but we ironed those out. We never had any big fights with them or misunderstandings. My wife loves having it in the house just as much as she thought she would. It also comes with supplied packets that you put into a receptacle. As they get warm, they release an aroma. Plus it came with a shower attachment.

The sales rep at American Standard was wonderful. He took his time, explained everything and gave us examples of things. The installation went well. The first time they came, they sent the smallest tub from what I had ordered. The installer recognized right away, saw the area that they were gonna put the tub in, and that there must have been an error in the invoicing. He called the office and they were able to fix it. Finally, they came and graciously took everything back, brought it back, and installed it that same day, gave us good instructions on it. It was a good client experience for me. The features of the tub are also good. The light therapy makes you look and feel good. The jets are very therapeutic for me too. We like it.

Our American Standard is really hard to clean because you have to get inside the tub and close the door and then crouch down and clean it. The showerhead is also really hard to use because it splatters out no matter what you do. They also have you sit in it in the living room before they put it in the bathroom. If you're just gonna sit there and use the jets and not use the shower, and you're a person like me that can absolutely do that, then it's fine. But it's a little confusing at times. There's no way to know how it's gonna work for you unless you use it. And they have no places you can go to experiment with it and find out.
The other thing that I don't like is the two faucets, one for hot and one for cold. If there is a way they can make it so that it's the one faucet where you can turn it to where you want it and then turn it on so you don't have to either turn them both off at the same time. They did fine getting it installed. But because they couldn't get it through the doorway, they cracked the doorway's frame. That's not their job to fix it, because that's not what they do. So, we had to have somebody come and fix that and repair the frame. It was also something we had to pay for. We're just not happy with it, but we can't afford to change it, so we're stuck with it.

The quality of the American Standard tub is very good. I like the light and the aromatherapy. The sales rep was very low-pressure too. But the installer didn't show up, so it took two days to get the tub in, and I had to go and pay for one of the days.

The one that I got from American Standard wasn't suited for me. It's too short to be able to take a shower in. Whenever you’re taking a shower, water leaks onto the floor. One of the jets doesn't work. They said that we had to turn. We tried that and that didn't help. There were also some things that the rep could have offered us like the shelf that we could have put up on the tub. Instead, they've got a piece of wood trim on the floor that looks awful. It doesn't look right. We don't like taking a shower in it at all. We're thinking about remodeling our bathroom to take a shower. If the rep has offered us the higher-end models which are longer and wider, we would have been much happier. They also left a mess there. They didn't finish the sheetrock. They cut a hole in the wall and I can't figure out why. They repatched it, but they didn't patch it. It just looks like a big hole in the wall.

The reps were very knowledgeable. They knew everything. The installation was good. The quality of the tub is good as well. I like the shower and the bidet we were able to get with the package.

I love my American Standard a lot. It's just a little bit too difficult for my husband who has mobility issues to get into it, but it's unbelievably great for therapy, just to get into it, relax, and get a little bit of a massage. It’s big and accommodating. I'm not a big person. I'm 4’10”. But I feel I'm engulfed with comfort when I go in. One of the things I like is how quickly it drains. I thoroughly endorse it. There hasn't been anything about it that we have found unsatisfactory. It's very pretty. It really has a spa look. The staff that preceded the installation was also good. Their service was great.

The salesman of American Standard was very good. He didn't measure the doorway correctly, though. When the installation came in, they had to cut through the doorway and into the wall. They got in there and they managed to get the tub installed after some fiddling around here and there, trying to reposition stuff. The installation went very smoothly.
The only complaint about that was that the acrylic tile they put on above the tub didn't go all the way to the ceiling. They said they've been trying to get the manager to send enough tile to go to the ceiling because they realized that it's a ** job. It cost me 450 bucks to hire a contractor to come in and repair doors and the wall after they finished. I also had to go buy a 4" by 8" sheet of acrylic tile.
I originally had talked to one person about the fact that they were supposed to be here on a Wednesday but nobody showed up. I tried calling Texas, and there was no response there, kept getting voicemail, and then it just bounced out. I called the salesperson and he got ahold of somebody. They called me back and said that the contractor they had lined up ended up at another job longer, so they would have to find another contractor and come in on Thursday.
The guys were here on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The guy that was in charge of the scheduling side sent me a $500 rebate for the delayed day that I've been trying to get ahold of the contract manager, for the $450 repair bill for the doorway and having to buy a panel and more acrylic tile and I've had no luck contacting him. I've also had to put in a new hot water heater, which cost me $900 for installation because the hot water heater wasn't providing enough hot water for it.

I was led to believe by the sales guy that the installation might take two days but they finished it in six hours. They knew exactly what they were doing. The installer had a suggestion about moving it in a different direction and turning it a different way and it turned out to be great. The sales rep was also very thorough.

The guys from American Standard that came were definitely nice. They came later than we thought they were going to come. But that wasn't really a problem because we felt like they were going to get done in time. They finished around 7 PM. They said not to touch the tub at all because of the adhesive. It had to dry completely before you could touch it. When I really got to looking at the way the putty was put in, it was not very neat. It was uneven. Some of it was smeared in places. It wasn't really up to par for the $17,000 we just spent on it. There's also a handle that closes the tub on the inside of the tub and it had a cracked hole in it. I sent a text message to the two people involved, the guy that sold it to us and then the guy that installed it. I sent a picture of the parts, showing examples of what I wasn't very satisfied with. But I never heard back anything from either one of them.

They did a great job. I love the tub. It's wonderful. I am totally independent as far as cleaning myself. It’s some of the best money I've spent. I got the whole bathroom and there are plenty of bars for me to hold on to, to where I feel very secure when I'm getting in and out of the shower, and a great seat when I'm in the shower. Everything about it shows that they have a lot of experience doing this because it fulfills the needs of somebody that's disabled such as myself.

They did the installation of my American Standard really fast. It was finished in a day. They did a pocket so that my dad didn't have to step over the tub to get in. It was a safety thing ‘cause he had a stroke. It worked well for him.

The presentation of the sales rep of American Standard was off the chain. I like the jets. The nozzle is also user-friendly. I hadn’t had any problems getting in and out. I enjoy the walk-in tub.

The sales rep of American Stndard was very informative. He answered all our questions. He knew what he was talking about. However, I've got a problem with it since they finished it, and I can't get them to fix it. There were three jets that do not work. I've called them 14 times. The contractor came by over a month ago. He worked on it and said there was just something wrong with the jets. They were not working. So he was going to contact the company. Said they wouldn't gonna be happy about it. I haven't heard from him. But I called again Monday. The girl said that they had parts and it was sent to the contractor. They were going to talk to him and see what the deal is. They haven't heard from him too. But I like the tub. It's nice. I'd recommend American Standard.

I had a knee replacement and I had a little bit of a hard time getting out of my tub. Every now and again, I would slip and fall. My children said, “Why don't you try one of these?” So I did. But I did not like it. I also have arthritis in my shoulder. I can barely move most of the time and the water was nowhere near. I couldn't put my shoulder in the water for the jet to get to it. It was very uncomfortable. I would get out of there crying because I hurt so bad. My legs also didn't have anywhere to go. They could not stretch out. I was very uncomfortable in it. I had it taken out. But the people that came out were very nice. He told me everything that he felt I should know.

The American Standard rep was great. He made an appointment, was here when he said he was gonna be here, explained everything, and gave us the advantages of why we should go with American Standard in comparison to others. His name was Tim. I had a very positive experience with him. There were three of them who installed it, an electrician and the installation crew. The electrician got here a bit early, let us know that he was here and waited for the rest of the team.
Everybody was on time. They were professional, told us what they were gonna do and how long it was gonna take. They brought the tub in, let her get in it to make sure that it fits, made sure that it was the one we wanted. It took them a day and a half. They were great. We had a problem with the waterline out on the street. When they turned it off, the handle broke off, but they fixed it. I was really impressed with the entire installation crew. The tub has jets, air, lights and aromatherapy. The only thing that is tough about it is getting the entire tub filled with warm enough water. Even though we have a large water heater, it's very difficult to fill the tub and have the water heated at the same time without it being cold.

American Standard's rep was very personable and didn't try to shove anything down our throats, yet he presented their product in a nice way. The installers were excellent, too. We like the grab bars all the way around that are secure for our sons to keep safe while using the walk-in.

American Standard got back to me quickly. I got more response out of them. They had somebody out that was knowledgeable to talk with me. I was impressed with the man who sold the walk-in tub to me. I was also impressed with the two men that came to do the work on it. They were a day sooner than they thought they would be. During the processing of getting the tub shipped out here, it got lost along the way. When I got the call and was told what had happened, the lady that had called me gave me her phone number. She told me everything would be fine. They knew where it was. She stayed in touch with me and was fine if I called her and asked. Everybody that I dealt with at American Standard was fine, including the supervisor of the two men who did the work. He was available while they were doing their work. I got an almost bare bones tub and I'm very happy with it. It was still expensive though.

The rep was terrific. He wasn't push and he explained everything. he answered any questions I had. But I wish they gave me the best price at the beginning because I don't like to haggle about things. I had a bid from another company that ws considerably less and I talked to him about that. He explained the difference between the two tubs and then went on to make a further adjustment in price.
The installers did a terrific job. They did it during a terrible rainstorm and they put drop cloth everywhere. It was a big job with all the plumbing and they had to chip out the old bathtub. They knew what they were doing. My tub has every bell and whistle you can think of. It's easy to use and very safe. I love the bubbles and the aroma therapy. I was a little concerned about how it would look, but it looks like it's been there the whole time.
