The price was unbeatable although I hope there is a battery and charger included with the camera since it was not included in the description. I am so hopeful that this turns out amazing.

Great price. Great selection of products. I can't wait for my camera to arrive. When I was a kid, I started out using a Kodak Brownie film camera. I had a variety of point & shoot film cameras. I then moved up to point & shoot Digital cameras. I've had two DSLR cameras & a Canon M5. I figured it was time to move up to a full frame camera.

I bought a Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 telephoto lens for Canon camera. I received and put it right on my camera and it didn't work at all. I packed back up and shipped it back the next day after receiving it & they charged me $178.35 for restocking. Despicable company, don't ever buy anything from them. They are not in Maine, their store is in New Jersey.

I know I just ordered my TV yesterday and I will come back and retract if Abe's makes this right. I have been doing research on the best price for LG OLED 65 inch TV. I was going to order from Newegg.com but Abe's was $100 cheaper. The TV was actually listed $2,296 out the door, free shipping and tax free. My wife reviewed our credit card statement today and the charge was $2,684.00. I reached out to Abe's and asked them to please respond by email only as I want a audit trail on the reason. I am hoping they will reduce to $2,296 as stated in my outbox and printed document I have on file. Not happy that the price on their site is not the fee they charge.

Bait and switch, HIGH PRESSURE. They accept order online for a great price, only to follow up a few days later and say they have to have $400 more for shipping cause it is so far. They are NOT an authorized dealer for LG (probably more) so there would NOT have been a warranty (contrary to what their sales force says.)

While I eventually proceeded when the total price was brought down to what another retailer would have provided after adding tax your representative made claims that to a degree were not correct. He claimed iElectrica is not an authorized retailer. They are on the same list as Abe's of Maine (although it is not clear to me if LG is saying the longer list below their commentary are authorized or not authorized but your representative said this is shipping from an authorized retailer so if Abe's is NOT authorized someone needs to provide the paperwork to me of the authorized retailer in the event I have warranty issue). I do know Newegg is authorized.

It would be a much better option for most customers to have 12 month financing instead of just 6... That extra 6 months would really make a difference for your customers and they may decide to even purchase more items from your store.

Shopped the web. Best price found. Easy checkout and shipping was reasonable. Nikon 200/500 lens. Other sites had bundles that raised the price. The items included in the bundles received poor reviews. Will give this as a gift and direct the person receiving the lens to view Abe's for additional accessories for the lens and camera.

Called 7 times, listened to music, then clicking noises and disconnection. Left a message with customer service manager--no callback. Doesn't seem much like you care about a customer trying to spend his money with you. My fiancée had a similar issue and paid more at Unique Camera because they bent over backward to help her.

I ordered a Nikkor 70-200 mm lens last night, and was called by Jeff ** this morning. He applied high pressure sales tactics and lied to me about the value of the retail package. I agreed to the much higher price (my mistake, I know), and when I called back once I had time to do the 30sec of research to tell them that I did not want the retail package, he told me it was too late and that they couldn't do anything because it had already shipped. He told me then that I could refuse the shipment to return the package and then they would refund my money, and I could buy whichever lens kit I wanted. I told him that I wanted the price I agreed to (and purchased) last night, and he told me that it didn't work that way and that I would not be able to get that price, and hung up on me.

On Black Friday of 2018 I purchased a LG OLED TV from Abe's of Maine because their advertised price online was the least expensive and they were offering free shipping. Several days after my purchased I received a call from a representative at Abe's of Maine informing me that they would not be able to ship my TV unless I agree to pay more than $250 for shipping insurance that was not included in their "free shipping". After some negotiation I agreed to pay $175 of shipping insurance.

My experience through checkout was fast and easy. Hopefully the shipping and the rest of the transaction will be equally as smooth. I was able to make my purchase using their convenient financing, The entire checkout process with financing took less than 10 minutes to complete.

I sent my 24-70 into Nikon for repair and received the following message after providing my proof of purchase. "Dear Samuel, Thank you for sending us a copy of your order confirmation. Unfortunately we cannot service your AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR lens as it is a gray market unit. "Gray market" Nikon products are those that were not imported and distributed by Nikon USA but were purchased by the end consumer in the USA. Nikon USA will not service gray market products under any circumstances, even for a fee.

You cannot get a live person on the line. It rings, puts you on hold and no one picks or the phone just hangs up on you. I have called over 12 times to find out about a refund for a product that I returned 2 weeks ago. The camera was $1,599 and came in a beat up box labeled a VR kit with a lens, with the items tossed in bubble wrap. This was a used camera they put into a random box and they are charging me $289 for a restocking fee. There is literally nothing to restock and I believe this camera was used when I received it, not to mention the box it came in that wasn't even what I ordered. I called and final got a hold of someone at Abe's that said 'the person you need to talk to is right here...' Then put me on hold, then I got a voice mail - no one returns calls, left 2 previous messages when I could. This is a ridiculous place to do business with.

Purchased the product after reviewing the price and found Abe's to have the best price. The website was easy to access and follow and very clear. Product info was clear and it was easy to check out. So far so good.

Positives first: the product is fantastic. I'm very happy with the LG TV itself. It is exactly what I ordered and Abe's did not substitute in any way. Negatives: The price you see advertised is not the price you get. The fine print clearly says they are going to charge you an insurance fee. When you call the sales guy he will tell you the product must have insurance. He'll soften it by giving you a wall mount and claiming that you will get "white glove" delivery. The fee is usually around $400.

I am very impressed with the services, excellent and it was quite an amazing experience shopping online here. I hope to be back again and buy more items here for my Christmas donations and gift to my friends and family.

TV Purchase - A very good purchase experience. Easy to use and secure. I had to call my bank to verify my purchase. Fortunately, that added only a couple of minutes for processing securely. If it had it take much longer, depending on the bank, I may have considered purchasing elsewhere. This process could be improved by supporting Apple Pay which I use often.

Best price I found on the web for a new Canon EF 24-105 f/4 ii USM lens. Easy to navigate website. The site was very slow but that it's probably due to holiday traffic. Overall, an excellent purchase experience. Highly recommended.

Abe's had a great price on LG 65 on Black Friday, the bait. On purchase and confirmation of the order they added a $300 fee for "insurance", the first switch. The price is still below even the Black Friday prices. The free white glove service was 2 guys from an obscure delivery group that was 3 hours late, the second switch. They took the top off, plugged it in and walked out. (White glove service not!) A week in I see the dreaded stuck pixel. That's when the real fun began. Abe's will not swap or take the TV back! Once more they are not an authorized LG dealer so the LG warranty is voided. Of course LG will let me purchase an extended warranty which brings the cost back up to the original price. Abe's sells an irregular LG product, then LG and Abe's pass the cost of the shoddy manufacturing and repair to the consumer in the form of an extended warranty.

The ordering experience and price was good. Look forward to future orders for camera products. Prices are very competitive and free shipping is commendable. Selection of products is broad and you are offering quality goods. Item ordered is a gift and I believe it will be well received.

I was looking to buy the Sony 90mm f2.8 macro lens and found this place to have the best price. However, after placing the order, and getting the confirmation, I found there was NO update for 6 days. I sent an email and was told to call a certain extension number. Of course, though I tried multiple times throughout the day, there was no response. I finally get through on the third day, and after describing my experience, I get someone who clearly isn't interested in working there. He said they had to order the lens, even though the site said it was in stock (even as of 1 week later!) So much for being the "store you can trust". Super, super disappointing. Absolutely no communication on their part. Finally, I wrote a negative review on their site to document what happened, and I come to find out that, they never posted that review! This place really is a scam.

I found a great deal during Cyber Monday for a Nikon D500 (body only) camera on the Abe's of Maine internet site. It was easily $500 below market pricing. Putting the order was simple until after submitting I was asked to enter the last 6 digits of my social security. That concerned me, so I hit cancel. I thought that would cancel my order but instead I got a confirmation of a successful order via email. I was sure how to feel about that.

I brought Nikon 810 Body, Kit and Lens. Experience was good. But I was mislead with the options mentioned on the website while buying. I want to buy all the three Body, lens and kit and the options between Lens and kit were mutually exclusive. So when I select body (was default), Lens and Kit, only kit got activated and lens missed so I had to order again. So when I got the package I was expecting 3 but I got only 2. Why can't you bundle all the 3 is my suggestion.

After placing the order online received a follow up call. Great customer service?? Actually NO. The follow up was actually a "sales" call. I was informed one of the requested lenses was no longer available, despite being listed as in-stock online. The sales rep talked me in to a $100 up sell for the "current" compatible lens. He also gave me the hard sell for other "highly suggested" accessories (high capacity batteries, $80 lens filters, etc...) which I luckily declined.

Online price on LG TV was $2,096.99 with free shipping & no tax except in NJ. I called the sales dept about the advertised price. It was confirmed but here comes the "hidden charges". He asked for my zip code, then gave me a shipping insurance & handling charge of $384.00!! Plus if you purchase their 3 yr. extended in-home warranty it's half price at $299.00!! Nowhere did I see in my cell phone search were these hidden charges listed!! If you see them, could luck. The devil is in the fine print! Judge for yourself. Where is the BBB or Federal Trade Commission?

They told me that I need to reprocess or reorder again. Why?? Why?? Why?? Then I called you at 800-992-2237 four times and got hung up and called again for the 5th time and I had to wait for more than 35 minutes... it is not worth waiting when I placed an order... I only need one lens.

I placed my order online, giving my Visa number. The order included free delivery. I received a call from Abe's saying there would be a $550 charge for handling and insurance. This made me nervous as to whether this was a legitimate business (I'd had a bad experience years earlier). Didn't help that shipping was via AM Home Delivery, which I'd never heard of. Why 5 stars? Because at the end of the day I received what I ordered at a good price, despite my initial misgivings about the delivery cost. As for AM, can't say enough about the helpful, courteous delivery guys. If you're not thin skinned, Abe's can save you money.

I ordered a lens online only to receive an email several days later asking me to call to verify the order. After calling 17 times to the extension in the email finally gave up and called Sales. They confirmed the order but told me to get the proper retail version I'd need to pay an extra $150 and that the webpage showed the non-retail version only with lens only. Everything went quickly until I read your TV Policy and had a question. I called Customer Service and after about 5 minutes your system hung up on me. I then called Sales and after 35 minutes I got an answer to my question. The question wasn't on your FAQ page but the answer is you ship with a private carrier and they should call ahead before delivery. The question was what if the carrier drops the TV at the front door when we're not home and when we get home we find damage. FedEx and UPS usually drop it at the door and leave.

Just placed order for my new camera system, had two issues: 1. My in cart items get removed when I log off, resulting more time to search those items again and add them to the cart. My items should be allowed to be in Cart at least for a week. 2. Did try to call your Sales department number of times in two days to clarify some doubts but could not get to anyone to get answers to my questions.

It did not even have plastic to keep out moisture during shipping. It was a camera with a charger and battery we had to pay extra for in the beat up box. I am surprised that is legal. I have the camera with the same serial number that someone else has the lens with the same serial number... That someone else had the battery and charger with the same serial number. I gave him my order number and he said that since I lived in Florida he was going to charge me for insuring and handling of the TV and possibly other fees raising the price well over $100.00 more, even though it came with no tax and free shipping.

No issues ordering, but I have not received TV yet. TV price was cheaper than anywhere else online. I wish there was a return policy for large TVs (ex. I pay shipping). Shipping says 7-14 days but ships within 24-48 hours so I'm hoping I get the TV within a week for Thanksgiving!

I ordered online an LG OLED65C8PUA TV advertised on Abe's of Maine website for $2,096.99 including free shipping. Shortly afterward I received an email confirming my purchase for $2,096.99. The next day I received an email from a Jeff ** with Abe's of Maine. He thanked me for my business and requested I call him at 1-800-992-2237 to "confirm my purchase". I called him and confirmed my purchase. He then proceeds to tell me that my total price is $2,484.99. When I questioned him on why it is now $388 more, he tells me that the TV is made of glass and carriers like FedEx and UPS will break it, so they have to charge me extra for "insurance and handling".

I ordered an LG OLED55B8 TV today for $1,349 including free shipping. A phone call shortly after from the merchant told me that I had to pay $188 for insurance, because they won't ship with FedEx who "always breaks the TVs." What a ripoff outfit. Stay clear! I canceled my order.

Abe’s of Maine does not stand behind the products they sell or their warranties. I bought a Canon 5D Mark III Digital SLR and a 2-year warranty that was supposed to cover everything but malicious damage and losing the camera. The camera was used extensively around water, but was not dropped in the water. It started working poor, so we took it to an authorized dealer who said there was moisture inside and could not be fixed. I contact Abe’s warranty company, New Leaf, and explained the camera was not dropped in the water but there is moisture damage. New Leaf said the camera was not covered, had I dropped in the water it would have been covered; but since I was truthful and explained it was used around water New Leaf would not honor the warranty.

TV purchase - Best deal on the internet! Friendly customer service. I especially like the free shipping (even though I was charged $24.95 to insure the shipment) and no tax (although that changes nationwide on November 1). Purchased two lenses from this place and realized that the wonderful prices is the way this site lures you in. Once you place the order you get called the next day from a customer salesperson who will explain to you to upgrade to the full kit. This includes lens caps, and the box. What's missing however is the USA warranty slip from NIKON. So basically you wind up paying full price for a grey market lens they are masking as a USA version. Also, stay away from their credit six month scam, at 35.99% interest and then the 99 dollar a year membership fee. Just don't buy from here. Buy only if you want international equipment.

First of all, Abe's of Maine doesn't offer international models, Japanese models or anything similar. For instance, the Japanese model for the TV I ordered ends in JN. The US model that I ordered ends in EN. That doesn't mean anything to the scammer sales rep, he uses that line anyhow. I've ordered from there before and not had an issue. The last two items I've ordered they pulled something similar. This is the Japanese camera and it doesn't come with a battery and the other day the same thing with a TV. The camera arrived with the US box, battery and all accessories. The TV will arrive next week and be the same model they sell at the big box stores.

Tells me that is the International model with no warranty. Not stated anywhere on the website. Contacted them since their prices on TVs are ridiculously lower than anywhere on or off the internet. Turns out they are not an authorized dealer. What does that mean. That means you run into all sorts of issues if you have ANY problems with your product, that's if you even receive a product. Just do your research here and you'll find out there have been bad press coverage, to media scrutinizing them about their false advertising and upsell etc. My experience was horrid, and I was hung up on, when I caught on to their scheme, and was fortunate enough to call the finance company and complain and tell them my purchase was done under false advertising and commitments and without my authorization.

I ordered a body only Sony Alpha a6500 camera. The Abe's price was better than other online stores, but not suspiciously so. After I placed my order, I received an email that I needed to talk with the store, no reason given. I was on vacation, so I didn't call right away. However, the next day, I was called. I was told that they had to verify that I ordered, which I confirmed. Second, they wanted to sell me a battery for the camera! I didn't see anywhere (in reviewing the item listing online) that a battery was not included. I was offered two options--a regular battery and charger for about $120 I believe, and a high capacity battery and charger for $150. I selected the more expensive one, because I figured it wasn't that much more, and I needed a battery for the camera.

Did quite a bit of research, Abe has great prices and great selection - too bad one of the lens I wanted was backordered. Shipping option would disappear when I checked. I checked the "same as billing" box, so I had to reenter info.

I placed an order for the Sony XBR65X900F TV. They are on back order until Monday but should arrive in 2 weeks. The pricing is excellent compared to Best Buy and other major electronics stores. Hopefully the TV will arrive soon and we can enjoy it.
