Do not buy anything from this company. It is not worth it. Spend the money and go with a company that actually cares...

Bought a Westinghouse TV in 5/2014. Within 6 months had the issue of sound, but no picture. Contacted customer service, provided proof of purchase, pictures of the original box, and shipped back at my expense. 2 months later received a refurbished TV. 7 months later have the issue that the TV shuts itself off. I am worried now that It might be having a problem. Sometimes when I turn it on I only get a dark screen with sound and then I turn it off and on again and I get the big W image indicating that it is working properly! I will be sure to check out this site again to see how satisfied the consumers really are! Hope Westinghouse is reading this!!!

What I have to say echoes what many, many others have already stated: to wit - my 50" Westinghouse died 1 year & 4 mos. after warranty. One night it worked, the next day - only sound, no picture. I'm guessing it's the bulb? Since SO many complaints re: the same thing. The '$300 question' is... Is it worth getting fixed?? I've decided "NO", and don't even attempt their customer service. Their clueless (or acting that way). TOTALLY unhelpful. You'll only waste your time and become more frustrated. Will I buy Westinghouse product again? I mean, ANY Westinghouse product? DEFINITE NOOOOOO!! :-/

Well my story is the same. Bought the tv in 2013 from Sam's Club. Showed very good up until... seriously a year to the date it was purchased, Jan 2014. Same freaking problem, just went out with no rhyme or reason. I didn't bother to get a warranty on a new product...go figure. So in a nutshell, I've been with a tv that literally looks new. No scratches, no scrapes. Westinghouse products is horrible. I will never recommend this product to anyone! There should be a law for selling consumers a piece of junk.

I bought a Westinghouse TV on 9/1/14. 6 months in the TV just stopped working. Would not turn on, would not do anything. Two days later the TV did finally turn on and worked until today. We called Westinghouse, because it is under warranty, and Westinghouse says that we have to pay to ship it to them, and they can't say rather or not they will replace it. This has been a VERY frustrating experience. Westinghouse is horrible. I will advise anyone that ask not to purchase a Westinghouse TV for any reason!!!!

I received a Westinghouse TV as a gift in November of last year (2014). In May of this year, the screen froze and then died. I had audio but no video. I tried all the basic troubleshooting techniques with no success. I called Westinghouse customer service and they walked me through the very same troubleshooting techniques after which it was determined that "the TV is indeed defective." I was then told that because it was given to me as a gift, the warranty is void! Are you kidding me? Yes, I am extremely unhappy and will never purchase product from Westinghouse again.

I loved this TV so much that my son bought a bigger one for my living room for Valentine's Day 2014. It's Westinghouse as well, so I'm praying it doesn't just stop suddenly. I purchased this TV 18 months ago as a Christmas gift. My grandson who is 22 yrs. old basically used it for watching TV (obviously) and playing his PS4 on it. The TV white screened on him. I called Westinghouse, spoke with a representative, she ran a diagnostic test on it which didn't help at all. I was then informed the TV was only warrantied for 1 year and I could take it to a tv repair person and they may be able to help, at my expense. If you are considering buying a Westinghouse TV no matter what size, do yourself a favor and think twice and consider another company. It will be well worth your time to research other companies.

I purchased the TV last Nov 2014. I was going to move so I left it in the box (unopened). I installed it at my new home and it worked about 10 hours and it suddenly went blank as if power had been shut off. I checked the power outlet and it was fine. My conversations with Westinghouse Customer Service has been totally useless. I was first told to take it to a repair place and after five days, they said they were told by Westinghouse that they would not cover it.

I called back and was told that the gentleman I talked with had recorded it as out of warranty and that it had been damaged, a complete fabrication on their end. I recalled them and they now say I have to have the original receipt and it has to have the serial number on it. That info is not on the information I have received from the credit card company. I also had trouble even hearing the person because it sounded like there were a number of people in the same room and you could hear all of them. I am done ever buying anything from Westinghouse, now or ever again - and I sell appliances and will do my best to talk people out of their product.

We explained our issue with the TV, we were placed back on hold just to be told our warranty already expired & to take our defective TV to a repair shop. I asked the representative have they received a lot of complaints concerning this particular product & she answered "YES", as if she was proud of the faulty product. We bought a TV at Target during Black Friday sales 2 yrs ago. The TV worked fine up until the last two weeks, as it has become difficult to deal with. We only shut off the power on the TV box, which allowed the TV to remain on at all times minus the actual TV picture because it WAS SO DIFFICULT TO TURN ON/OFF. We made the mistake of using the "sleep" option and the TV shut off. Now we can not do anything with it and it is just sitting on the stand for decoration.

I tried calling customer service only to be told it is not their issue as it has been more than 1 yr since we purchased it. They asked if we purchased an extended warranty from the store we purchased it from. My response "Why would I think twice about buying an extended warranty on a brand new item? Clearly we were confident in the purchase of the quality and reliability of the company." Joke is on us -- the company is a scam. I asked if there was anything the company itself could to do back up THEIR POORLY MADE PROTECT. The answer - no.

Buyer's beware: Never, ever purchase a TV (or any item for that matter) from that company. I find it appalling they try and place responsibility on target if the TV has any issues.. Target did not make the TV, they only sell it. Shame on Westinghouse... quick to take your $$$$ and have the last laugh when you're out of both money and a functioning TV.

When I went to ship the tv I was told that it would cost $107.00. I asked Westinghouse to send me a return shipping label and they told me that shipping the defective device to them was my burden. We bought a 50" LED TV at Target. Within a couple of months the TV quit turning on. Went to Target and they said we had to work it out with Westinghouse. After no less than 5 different conversations, Westinghouse said we had to send it back in the original box at our cost. The cost was over $150.00 to return. We refused to do this so ended up filling a complaint with the BBB. The bureau was able to get Westinghouse to agree to pay for return shipping. It took about a month to get another TV back.

We've had it now for a little less than a year and the sound is starting to act up. When we switch channels the sound goes off. We have to turn the TV off and then back on to get the sound to come back on. I would avoid the Westinghouse line like the plague. Horrible customer service and sub-standard product. My mother was in an assisted living facility and I bought her a Westinghouse flat screen TV the day after Thanksgiving, to be given to her as a Christmas gift. So the TV wasn't even used until almost January. Immediately we started getting 'fuzzy' reception, which we assumed was the cable carrier. Numerous visits and calls with them were not able to identify the issue as their connection. Finally called in a television expert who said there was a connection INSIDE the TV that is very small and soldered in, that evidently had not been well attached, hence the fuzzy screen issue from the onset. He suggested we take it back to where we purchased it (KMart). They said it was over 30 days since the purchase so we had to go to Westinghouse. (And we HAD filled out the warranty card.)

Anyhow, after explaining the situation we were told that WE had to pack up the TV in the original box (which of course, was thrown out by the assisted living facility after the TV was mounted) and mail it at our expense to their repair factory. We were also advised if there was any sign of damage or marring, they would not replace the TV. The TV was purchased on sale for appx. $300.... the shipping for that size TV and weight in the packer's box was going to be almost $100, and we had NO guarantee that we would get a replacement after less than two months of use, and a record of calls with the cable company and the TV repair company? Really??? For an 80 year old person on SS?

I then went online and found out there are NUMEROUS reports of the same kind of problem, and with very dissatisfied customers like us. I wanted to 'buy American' but I can tell you this, we will be replacing THIS television and NEVER buy even a small appliance from Westinghouse again!

Toward the end of 2014 it wouldn't turn off or it wouldn't turn on without pulling the power cord and resetting. On 1/7/2015 I was watching a movie and the screen just froze and I couldn't power down the television, had to pull the power cord once again, but this time it didn't come back on. Called my cable provider thinking it may have something to do with them, only to find out that this issue is common with Westinghouse TV's. Not a happy camper!!!! Warranty is expired. Very disappointed in the quality of the TV which I have only had for 3 months. I have fixed it temporarily a few times but this is a reoccurring problem. The only reason I can make it work for a couple days is because a website said that I had to unplug the TV from the ac outlet in the back and hold the power button for ten seconds and then wait a minute to see if it functions properly. Sometimes this works immediately, other times it doesn't. Horrible electronic item and also cannot seem to find a way to permanently fix it. Very angry. Then while watching ESPN this morning... I realize the Westinghouse was "BEEPING"... lol. Hearing that beep had me thinking as much as was something heating up behind the wall. Is this a sign that this replacement will soon go bad too? Lol.

I'm through with Westinghouse. I've never ever never had this kind of problem with any electronic gear I have purchased. Lucky I got a Walmart extended warranty on the replacement. If the beeps leads to failure... I will ask Walmart to replace the set with another brand. I'm a 66-year old retired worker with electronic experience while in the Marine Corps years and years ago. It arrived at your facility on August 1. It took three phone calls by the Costco Concierge to determine the estimated return date of my repaired television. Today I received a refurbished TV that was manufactured in 2012, a full year older. It is a completely different television than the one I returned. It is much thicker and MUCH heavier. It had no documentation, no cables, nothing but the remote in the box. There was one small label on the end of the inner packaging that indicated a model number. When I went to your website, I found no information on the model number that appeared on the box; the item has clearly been discontinued. I am awaiting the assistance of Costco's Concierge service to inform you that I will be returning the television and expect a refund of my full purchase price.

The faulty device is bad enough, but quality control errors occur. However, the terrible customer service is inexcusable. Attached you will find a pdf of the receipt for the TV. Bought this TV on sale at Target. Salesman told me it was on sale because Westinghouse was just closing out this particular model. I said " I am hesitant to buy this because when something looks too good to be true, it probably is". Salesman said no, this TV is great we have had no complaints. He told me they had had complaints about the 50" TV's. I said "Then you can guarantee me that this TV is not going to die or blow up within six months?" He laughed and said "no, it is a great TV, I promise." I really hemmed and hawed about it for quite a while and then decided, since I am low income and cannot afford a $500 TV, I will try this. After all, if it breaks down, all I have to do is call Westinghouse and they will fix it, according to the salesman. Well, as you can guess, I have had this TV for 10 days and it started getting those scratchy lines running through it. It turned itself on after I had shut if off.

Then yesterday, I started getting the on and off problems with the white snowy screen and all the lines. It kept going black with a notice in the middle that it was not receiving a signal - "No Signal". I called Comcast to see if it was their end and they were very helpful and we found out it was not their signal because I re-hooked up my old TV and it worked perfect. So I came to this website to see what the complaints may be and I am just sick to my stomach after reading all of these horror stories about Westinghouse. I purchased this unit about 6 months ago. It is a 27" combo TV and PC monitor. It will come on and play about 6 hrs then it will shut off. With a bit of patience you can get it to come back on by hitting the power button until it stays on. Eventually it will go off permanently. If I leave it off and power disconnected for three days then I get to go through the same drill all over again. After a while it gets annoying because it is my PC monitor and it have to disconnect the wires and hook it to a monitor that I keep nearby. I also had the same experience with customer service or lack of. My advice, stay away from Westinghouse.

One day 4 months later TV will just not on. So get my volt meter to check if power is going thru AC adaptor in which it was. So meant was definitely the TV. Well call customer service and provided proof of purchase. Waited few days, got RMA to ship TV back from NJ to CA which cost me 125 dollars. Called 1 week later and was told will have a new TV shipped out which I was ok with. Well now 1 month later and was told they had no record of me in system and didn't know of any TV shipped back at which I had records of everything and proof of delivery to their warehouse. This company is a joke. I feel sorry for people who don't have their paperwork organized. But as of today still no TV and still no help.

First let me start by saying I didn't even want to leave a one star review because this company is unworthy of any stars. We purchased a Westinghouse Digital on Cyber Monday 2012 on Target.com. The TV was great for the first few weeks. Then we had issues with blue lines floating across the entire screen, right along the ticker at the bottom. We went to a local Target store where the manager recommended we speak with the manufacturer - so we did. In the beginning, the CSRs were helpful, or so we thought. They were willing to 'help' us, as long as we had a credit card - which we do not and then the end of dealing with us started.

Problems we have faced since include:

    1. Unanswered emails. We were asked to send a picture of the problem with the TV, so I did. Three different times, because they said they did not receive our emails. Third times a charm because they finally received the email with the picture.

    2. Run-around with CSRs. First the CSR manager is away from his desk at the customer service number. So we call the corporate number within 30 seconds of disconnecting to speak with their legal counsel or the CSR manager, only to find out that CSR mgr is gone for the day. WOW! He scooted out of the office quickly. So receptionist places me on hold while she attempts to track down their legal counsel. Oops! He's not available to take a call. Okay, give me his voicemail… again. WOW! Imagine my surprise when she connects me to his voicemail and the mailbox is full and I am automatically disconnected.

    3. Repeat calls, emails and voicemails are sent on my end but they have no record of these.

    4. The warranty WAS in full effect when this fiasco began… but because of now it has gone on for so long the warranty has expired.

    5. As I said in the beginning WD was helpful. Only to go as far as to say, they faked sympathy. IMHO they faked it. All the run around, obvious lies and hiding behind voicemails and unreturned messages is frustrating. When I called the corporate offices the first time, I was told the three top people (CEO, CFO and one other) were no longer with the company. Really? I just can't imagine why.

After calls and emails (last year when the TV was still under warranty) they issued us a FedEx shipping label. Their claim to going above and beyond helping us. Okay, granted I will give them a point there. Then the credit card came into play. They needed a credit card number to reserve a TV for us. Really? Why is that? *sigh* Then that's when all break down officially began. I'm sorry we do not have credit cards. Oh, they said. From that moment on, the response has been fruitless and full of scripted answers, ridiculous conversations, etc.

We contacted Target to inform them that they are selling products that aren't worth the time and effort to sell and how the manufacturer is not upholding their warranty guarantee. Target has opened a case file for us to investigate. We paid good money for this TV and now we have none. We did everything we could have to remedy this problem but never got anywhere. It's very difficult to handle a situation and rectify a problem when only one side is willing to work at it.

After much argument we were able to get a replacement. Now we've had the 3rd one for 7 months, no problems, and this afternoon we were sitting here watching it, hear a loud bang behind the set, and the set went black. The power strip was fine. The cable box plugged into the power strip was fine. We called Westinghouse and were told to submit the online form and wait. Good thing we kept our 15 year old TV because that's what we're watching now. There will not be any Westinghouse products in our future, ever. I'm wondering if there could be a class action suit filed against the company, after reading all the complaints on this website.

After e-mailing a few more times, a representative called, said they lost the copy of the receipt I sent them. Had me re-send it then told me to pack our 52 inch TV up ourselves so they could pick it up and ship it to California (we live in NJ) and that it would take about a month for them to either fix it or send us a new TV. The cable company has replaced the box 3x's just to humor us. After 10 months hanging in the same place, never moved an on an APC surge and battery backup, the volume would go out and come back on with the PACE CableTV box. I was throw off track simply because I'd flip the Cable box off and back on. That worked the first couple times so I thought it was the cable box. After 6 -7 times of the cable co. doing a reset, the vol would come back on. Then they replaced the cable box, Cable Co, thinking there was a prob, and after a few months the Cable Co, had to do a couple more resets and the volume would fix.

I did have a scramble screen once and cable fixed it. It's been 6 months of this. Now it's doing it with the Apple TV. They only have IOS updates. Since it might still be under warranty, I'm not pulling it apart, but needless to say, Westinghouse TV went out of business once for a good reason. Maybe that needs to happen again. I know they were the first TV ever made, but the people who originally created TV are not there anymore and their hardware IC division, leg, branch, whatever they're calling it in China, needs to look at their QAQC. After the nightmare of what I considered an initial crippled customer service process: The RMA services, claims services, and tech support all share one phone number and there is one route to get to all of them, and that route is often backed up (on a long hold queue that did intermittently drop the call from the queue), I did receive a call back the next day (Wed Sep 18) after using a web support form tool. I made several inquiries in several places. The gentleman's name was Corey and he offered a direct phone number to reach him if I needed to. He was very helpful.

On this phone call back, I did have to verify that the RMA center (again not at the same location as tech support and customer service), had received my broken TV by me supplying my FedEx tracking number. They hadn't yet in their tracking system, but I had my signature confirmation, so I am glad I opted for that when shipping them my old, broken TV. So Corey said they'd recently received a batch of refurbished TVs that are the same size as mine, and matching specifications, and that one would be available to be shipped to me within a couple of days. On Friday Sep 20 I received an email without asking for one that contained a FedEx tracking number for my replacement RMA TV. So that was very nice.

The shipment arrived today (Thurs Sep 26), so this is very timely. Nice. The replacement TV is technologically comparable. It has the same features and size. This is great. Finally, since it is a refurbished model, it had been programmed for cable TV channels before. I contacted customer service one more time to get assistance on resetting the channel listings with a new scan. Kenya there assisted me; the tech support was good (once I got through after the hold time). So, all in all, getting in touch with them is hard at first, but they have followed through on their promise and the RMA process worked.

I am very happy with the outcome. Although I had some anxiety about the customer service, after seeing the other reviews on this site, and the internet, and some initial frustration with getting connected with the helpful and actually concerned customer service representatives (rather than just answering the phone without any other apparent ability to follow through). My previous fears of never seeing my TV again was also certainly influenced by nightmare stories found on the internet, this site (again), and their poor Better Business rating. However, they can take care of you.

All I get is "Give us your name, phone number, your email address, and we'll make sure someone from claims calls you back as soon as possible."

I have been hung up on twice today automatically by a faulty phone system that drops my line when I'm in the queue (presume moving from position 1 to the next available representative), and once by a live person when I adamantly asked for the RMA or claims direct phone number to the Chino facility. However, I was told by their corporate headquarters number 714-221-9800 that I can't reach claims nor RMA directly because they don't have phone numbers for those departments, but that they all use the same customer service phone number (the 800-701-0680 one).

No one can give me an update on my claim, nor seems to know how to, nor whom, to reach. I think they're just stealing my dead TV and have no intention of repairing it properly. I'm afraid I'll never see it again, and I'm getting ripped off and losing money. If there is a class action lawsuit against Westinghouse, I want to be a part of it. Got a 39'' LED TV four months ago that started making a high-pitched sound three weeks ago. Filed a case through their website, and they were quick to ask me for a proof-of-purchase, and to tell me how to get my TV shipped to their technical support facilities. Not glad to have to pay for the shipping, but so far that's acceptable.

After they received my TV (I only know that because of the tracking number that I provided), I completely lost track of my case, as:

    * The web page does not provide case tracking. Instead, they ask for your name and number to call you back for an update. But that's just a trick: they do not have any SLA (at least visible), so you can't be sure when they will call you back. It's been three days since I left a request and haven't heard back from them yet.

    * They do not reply to emails. They aren't even able to track case emails by themselves. When they asked me for my POP, they asked me to include the case number on my reply. I later wrote them to know what was the status of my case, and never got a reply back.

    * Customer care line is useless: whatever you ask them, all they tell you is "we'll pass the message and they'll call you back". There's no SLA here either. It's been 48 hours since my first call and still haven't heard back. But the worst is they don't have access to absolutely any information on you case, not even your name or phone. When they tell you "we'll call you back", they ask you for your full name and phone number, and they ask you to spell your name, which obviously means they are not asking the information to confirm who you are, but instead because they know nothing.

Save yourself the hassle: don't buy anything from these guys. I know I won't, and will actively advice people not to do it either. (Were I able to give a negative score, I would.)

I created an account just to post my complaint. I must say I don't know if it's going to do any good based on the plethora of emails already received, Westinghouse is still selling defective TV's and trying to do an old bait and switch. I bought my 50" TV in February. On June 1, the picture simply went out. You can hear it but not see it. I immediately followed up with Westinghouse. The initial phone call went fine. I was given a case number. Two days later, no response. I had to call them to follow up and was told it would probably just need to be reset. No such luck.

I am being told I have to pay over $100 to ship a defective TV all the way from Georgia to California! I only paid $300 so I am essentially stuck. The company has refused to honor my request for a refund and will not assist me in any way in getting any other resolution. I can't wrap my head around why I have to pay to ship something that is defective. I had my proof of purchase and am well within the one year warranty but I am getting no help. Westinghouse has you on hold for 30 minutes, has the receptionist answer and start the transfers all over again...maddening. The final insult to injury is they sent me an email tonight telling me since they haven't heard from me in 2 days, they are considering my account inactive. Awfully odd considering I just called yesterday...

Like others we purchased our Westinghouse 46" television on Black Friday 2011 from Target. We woke up this morning with it laying face down on the floor. Like several other people, the base had broken causing the television to fall to its death. We'd placed the television on our console table where it had stayed, unmoved, since we purchased it. Obviously with so many similar complaints, this is a manufacturer defect with models purchased on Black Friday.

The only consolation I can find in my experience with Westinghouse product and customer service is that I'm really not alone. I purchased a 24" television in July of 2012. It has been in my kitchen since then and gets very little use. Two weeks ago, I turned it on to a picture that was unwatchable: vertical and horizontal lines, psychedelic colors, all in slow motion. When I called customer service the first time, it took three tries until I finally got through to a representative as I was disconnected twice. I was told that someone would get back to me within 48 hours.

Five days later, I called again and thought that I was finally speaking to someone who cared. Again, I gave my information and was told that I would receive an email within 24 hours. I did receive that email but realized that it was auto-generated. It has now been another five days without a response. Judging from the previous reviews, I think I'll just save myself any more time and wasted energy now and toss the thing out. This is the worst experience with a product I have ever had.

To all who may see this, my name is Jacob **, and I was given a 46" LED TV as a gift that broke soon after purchase. I speak not only for myself, but all the unhappy customers as well. This product has not met standards like the GLP, GMP and other manufacturing laws set aside to enforce production of reliable products. Westinghouse claims their LEDs are longer lasting and better than the LCDs, but my TV broke 1 year and 8 months into owning it. This is not long lasting and not reliable. When I called 8 times, waited over 3 hours on hold and got one 10-minute call from a tech, they told me it might be the adapter, power supply board or the motherboard. But since it is out of warranty, there is nothing they could do. No replaceable parts, no technicians, no actual technical support.

The BBB is currently dropping Westinghouse and made it non-applicable now because it does not meet common standards. There are over 325+ current complaints and filings on Consumer Affairs. Even Yelp gives Westinghouse a 1.5. What Westinghouse does is take advantage of the general public with low prices, misleading representation of customer service and a good TV. But really, Westinghouse is taking a knockoff, untested remanufactured TV and putting a label on it. This is manufacturing negligence. This is a production of defective goods. This is a fault in design. There are multiple torts that affect the consumer to suffer a loss - whether intentional or not. The manufacturing process and components of the TVs are defective and fail barely after a year of release.

The consumer (me) has been unfairly manipulated by Westinghouse, which allows no help outside or even inside of warranty. They will just send you someone else's broken TV to close the report. In accordance with the sale of goods, it must meet standards of satisfactory and quality as described. Also lasts for a reasonable length of time. This TV does not meet any of these standards. Therefore there are 3 options: (1) join a class action lawsuit through Consumer Affairs against Westinghouse Digital to expose the fraudulent, faulty merchandise being sold; (2) have a TV repairman fix my TV, take Westinghouse to small claims, then join the class action lawsuit; or (3) try and get a refund.

Now I live in California, fairly close to Westinghouse Digital corporate office, and am very close to creating a class action lawsuit if one doesn't already exist. Since my location is beneficial, I could act as the representative and go to court against Westinghouse. Please if you are interested, contact me at **. We, as consumers, are being taken advantage of and Westinghouse Digital needs to correct its negligent behavior.

I purchased two LED TV's from Best Buy last year and am so regretting it. Yes, the prices are amazing, but in the case of this company, the saying is true - you really do get what you pay for. The 46" set I bought had issues at the 6 month mark. I called for service and the service tech took a look at it and said basically I'm out of luck and these TVs aren't meant to last that long and left. Unacceptable. I complained about the service tech and tried to get it repaired again but nothing ever happened. Exactly. One month after the warranty expired, the TV just shut off and died. And now it's a big black piece of pointless plastic in my living room. I tried calling customer service like so many other people and couldn't even get through multiple times, and my most recent call was put on hold for three hours. I waited that long of a time because I wanted them to know how ridiculous and unacceptable this was.

I finally decided to email anyone at Westinghouse I could find and the next day, I got a call from a support rep saying he was instructed to handle this swiftly. I was happy to hear they actually might care about their customers and their products, but it's been a week and a half since that call and I'm no nearer to resolving this than before. I was told I'd be called within an hour, no call. Definitely tomorrow, no call. They can't help me because managers are in meetings. Emails were promised and never sent. I've followed up with email and was told that the emails were sent and were just probably in my spam folder. No. They were not. I feel like they dangle carrots in front of customers to get them to think they're taken care of and then purposely jerk them around hoping we'll just go away and not bother them anymore. Most horrendous customer service I've ever experienced. I will never ever buy anything Westinghouse makes again in my lifetime. And if you're smart, you'll do the same.

Also, their Facebook page has been brought back and now does not allow posts by consumers except for comments on their own posts. They're very subtly trying to shut down the very rampant and pervasive unhappiness with their products and company. I was even told the model of TV I bought a year ago is no longer made because of all the issues they had. Wonderful. Keep robbing people, Westinghouse. I smell a class action lawsuit and I too have filed a complaint with the BBB.

I purchased a 46" LCD TV exactly 13 months ago, model LD-4655VX. I purchased it because I figured the brand has been around long enough to be trustworthy and as a single parent of two children, the price was very appealing. I loved this TV - the size, the picture, the sound, everything. It's great looking, but after 6 months I had issues with discoloration of the screen and weird halo effects. It was resolved by turning the TV off and then on again. While under warranty, I was told it was not an issue and no repair was made. Now the TV just died. The main board is just dead, conveniently just outside of any coverage they offer. After googling to try and find a new board, I have come across hundred and hundreds of reviews and complaints all stating virtually the same thing. There is no way they are not well aware of the fact that these televisions are simply junk and these should all be recalled.

As an independent business owner, I would never dream of putting my name behind such insanely poor quality merchandise with such a wide array of persistent problems and can't believe Westinghouse does. I don't plan on seeing any effective resolution from them as it seems a pretty unanimous verdict has been reached in terms of what kind of treatment their customer service will provide, but do plan on seeking out as many Westinghouse executives as I can find and emailing them all.

It's not right to treat your customers like this and sell them shoddy products you know will not last. Class action lawsuit all the way.

They may seem cheap and affordable, but that should tell you something about the quality of their products. I bought the Unplug Bluetooth Speaker box that Groupon had on sale and it broke after literally just a week of usage. It was simply a poorly constructed device with parts that would come loose effortlessly. From what other customers have said, the lifespan of their products rarely exceed a couple of months.

As for their customer support (800-701-0680), the worst I've ever experienced! Rarely do I get angry as a consumer as long as you provide me with answers to my questions and the support I need to get full satisfaction with what I paid for, and I'm happy. But wow, I got absolutely no help from them! First off, they told me that they don't sell bluetooth speakers and only TVs. Uh ok, not true. Then they directed me to another support hotline (714-221-9800), which told me the same thing. Then they told me to call the number that was the one that directed me there in the first place! I was sent back and forth to customer support people who had no idea what products Westinghouse sold and could not provide me with the most basic information.

Finally, I was given an "ethical hotline" number (412-374-3009), which I called and it was just a voicemail system that allows you to voice your complaints, and not surprising, I haven't received a call back from them yet. I then called customer support again and they told me that they would get a person to call me back about my problem, which never happened. Basically, if you have a problem that they refuse to acknowledge or fix, they will send you back and forth to different support lines until you get frustrated and give up.

Bottom line: this is not an ethical company. They take your money by selling you products that are poorly made and worth much less than what you pay, and then they pretend to have around-the-clock customer support, but that's just meant to frustrate you. Attached you will see a picture of the Unplug Bluetooth Speaker which you must never buy, and the picture of the USB port which sunk in after just a week of usage.

This is concerning the Westinghouse LD 4655 TV. This is the short sentence version. I have read some of the complaints with Westinghouse customer service being very poor. Well, they are all correct. The story is almost always the same. The TV does not turn on. Call customer service. They have you send it in. You call back weeks later. They say it is broken. They will give you two smaller TVs or a refund. Opt for the refund. They then say it will be 3 to 4 months. No Refund. Call them back after 147 days. You ask where the refund is. They say they don't refund. You say, “But you said…” They say, “Prove it.” They give a story about call centers changing and everything changing in the company. Talk to the manager.

Give him the story. He says all he can do is send a bigger model. “46 inch,” I say, “that is the same size.” He says it looks bigger because the edge is smaller. He must be really educated to believe that when someone explained that to him. So back to customer service where they verify the address and say that it will be there in 6 to 10 days. We will see. It has been 147 days and counting. By the way, the reviews on this TV are just as bad. If there is a lawyer out there who would like to start a class action suit against Westinghouse, I believe that it would pay pretty well. If you look at people’s reviews and stories, there are a lot of the same and Westinghouse does not care and they will never, ever get any of my business with any product that they make or service that they give. I have nothing but bad things to say about Westinghouse. We bought a brand new LED 47" TV in May 2012. First off, the speakers were a joke so we had to invest in a sound bar. In Sept. 2012, the TV started having black spots appear then disappear in random places on the TV. I took a picture of the TV screen and complained to Westinghouse customer service in Sept. I did receive a timely response back that the problem was covered under warranty and a new TV would be shipped. Two days later, we received an email that stated our TV was not in stock and we should be getting one within 30 days; if not, we would get a comparable product. Thirty days later, no response and no new TV from Westinghouse.

At this time, the black spots were less often and we let it go. Then on Dec. 31, 2012, the TV suddenly went out completely. It would not turn on or do anything now. I called customer service again and since we already had a case number and problems before, they said they would send us out a new TV promptly. I was given a FedEx shipping label and told when I shipped my broken TV Westinghouse would see the information and when the TV is in FedEx's hands, they would ship out my new TV that same day. I shipped my broken TV on Jan. 4, 2013. Since then I cannot get anyone that can actually help me at customer service. I have numerous calls in to them. I keep getting told that department is very busy (I can see why if you sell crappy products) and that they have to take a message and someone will call me back.

On Sat. Jan. 12, I actually had someone call me and ask how satisfied I was and if I had received my new TV?! No, I said I had not gotten my TV and that I had never been told one was shipped. He said he had a tracking number for me and it ended up being the tracking number for my broken TV that I shipped to them! Do they really not have better documentation?! He then told me the system says a new TV has been shipped but he can't tell me the tracking number because it takes a few days to get it from FedEx. Really? You ship out something as big and as expensive as a TV and you don't have a tracking number and can't tell me when to expect it so I can be home to receive it? He then told me I should be getting a call or email in 72 hours with more info and a tracking number.

Well, surprise, it is 5 days later and still no call. I called 3 times this week and every person I get claims they are not the right dept and have to leave a message for them (whoever they are). I finally got a call today and the guy cannot tell me any new information. He said the exact same thing the guy 5 days ago said: the TV shows it was shipped but he can't tell me when and he doesn't have a tracking number. So if it was shipped over a week ago and they still have no info, what the heck? He then told me he will leave a message for that dept (again, why did you call me if you can't help me?) and said I will get a call back in 72 hours. What else am I supposed to do? No one can actually help me, so I went ahead and left another message for the so-called right dept. I got home that day and FedEx has tried to deliver my new TV. Go figure. They shipped my TV and no one could tell me a tracking number or anything. They really ship TVs and have no idea when it was shipped or anything!

I finally got the new TV from FedEx and it’s a different model. It does not have as many features as our original TV. Our sound bar that we paid a lot of money for can't even be hooked up to the new TV. It is supposed to be a new model and it doesn’t even have the optical sound output like our other TV. Now our sound bar is worthless and we are left with the awful tin can speakers of the TV only. I am beyond frustrated! I will never recommend Westinghouse to anyone and will never buy their products again! They claim online to have good customer service. I'd hate to see what a company with bad customer service is like. Don't ever buy from them ever!

I have been trying to telephone them for support for over 2 weeks. An answering machine gives choices for the type of support and when I press "2" for support, the call gets transferred to a company called AnswerNet. These guys are an answering service for the Westinghouse answering service. What a ** joke Westinghouse is. So these guys then ask questions and then say they are passing me through to Westinghouse, which again depends on "Is the Westinghouse line busy?" Yes, well then the AnswerNet jockey will take a message and pass it on to Westinghouse - who by the way do not return calls. Or no, so you speak with someone at Westinghouse who proceeds to ask the same questions and then drop your call.

This has happened 5 times over the past two weeks. No returned calls, drop calls during conversation, rude number punching and beeps while you are answering questions. To no avail, I still have a ** Westinghouse broken TV. This is shameful.

I sent in pictures and they sent me an RMA and a FedEx label to send the TV back to them for a replacement. It has been 3 months since I sent in the TV and I have not heard anything. I have made 3 phone calls and every time, they say someone will call me back in 24 hours. I have not received any calls. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told there is no one available. We maybe turned it on once a week and one day, it just stopped working. It will not power on at all. After reading these reviews, I've concluded that I might as well throw it away and take the loss. It seems like there's no point in trying to contact anyone and get my money back. And I definitely don't want a replacement TV just to have more problems! We purchased our 46" TV from Walmart in March. By October, the bulb went out and had only half a screen to watch. We contacted Westinghouse so that we could get our TV fixed before the warranty expired. We sent the TV back to be fixed and it came back within 7 days, which is what we were told. The TV did not work at all when it was returned. We were offered a replacement TV, which we refused. I demanded a refund and was told that it would take 14-16 weeks for a refund because of all the people asking for refunds. I argued that it was not acceptable to wait that long for a refund considering I paid for the TV up front. I was then told that I could get the refund sent out on 12/14.

On 12/28, I called Westinghouse and was told that because of the holidays, my check was not sent out; and because of the upcoming holidays, my check will now not be sent until 1/4. I am angry with this company. I filed a report with the BBB and noticed that Westinghouse has an F rating with them. I have posted on Westinghouse's FB page how horrible they are. Apparently, they don't check their FB page either. I think retailers need to discontinue selling these TVs since people are losing money with them.

We bought a 46" Westinghouse LCD TV on Black Friday 2011 from Target. Back in October of this year (2012), it suddenly fell to the floor. Nobody was in the room at the time it happened, but when we heard it and ran to see what happened, the TV had completely snapped off from the base. The neck was jagged and the TV cracked around the screen. The impact also left huge gouges in our brand new hardwood floor. Since then, we've been in contact with Westinghouse. We were told we were not entitled to a refund, but could get two smaller replacement TVs if they had them in stock. However, they were currently out and we would have to wait until January for them to get more in.

We did not want a replacement, especially after reading the other five complaints from all over the country on this website all experiencing the exact same problem with the TV. Obviously it is a defect with the batch of TVs the company made for Black Friday. We decided to call corporate to demand a refund. After many phone calls that were disconnected, being given the runaround several times when we were able to get through, and being told the supervisor was "at a meeting", "off for the day", or "on the other line" and would return our call (which never happened any of the times), we finally got through to someone who told us our refund check would be mailed out December 14, 2012 and we'd receive it between 5-7 days. We decided to follow up around the time this supposed check was going to be sent by calling to confirm and get a check number.

No surprise, the same issues of not being able to reach anyone, being disconnected after being placed on hold, and being told the person in charge was unavailable. After many, many more phone calls, we did finally get a hold of someone at corporate that told us our check would be cut now on January 11, 2012! However, since he was not a supervisor, he could not explain why our date had been changed. He put us on hold again for over 20 minutes to check with his supervisor, only to come back on and tell us she "wasn't there for the day." We've tried calling many times since this last call to find out what the holdup is, and have been unsuccessful. Keep in mind all of these calls have been placed to corporate. They are very, very unprofessional and we will never do business with Westinghouse again! We're contacting our local news channel to see if they can investigate it and publicize this issue.

Best Buy Geek Squad came to our home once and had us take it back to Best Buy for an exchange. We had no clue what nightmares were coming after that!

On January 11th of this year, we got the TV exchanged. After only three months, same ** thing, the top half of the screen flickering and red spots all over when dark. With this news, I called the Westinghouse Digital Service Center and was put on hold for 45 minutes, only to be informed the warranty is voided if repair is attempted by unauthorized technician (and they have none in my area) and if I wanted the warranty to be honored, I would have to ship the TV to them (at my risk of damage in transit) and they would determine the problem. However, the warranty states that a TV of my size qualifies for in-home diagnostic service. They informed me that they no longer send out technicians and would not honor this part of the warranty.

Conclusion: The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.

I bought the TV online through Target and all sales and shipping were done electronically, no hard copies; however, the TV is registered to Westinghouse with a serial number and case number.

Now, they say if I want a 46-inch flat screen to replace the original, the warehouse has run out and they are backordered. Four months now and still no television. They have plenty of 46-inch screen TV's in the stores but none to give the customers who have valid claims. I would like a class action suit. Many other folks who have the 46 inch model TV have experienced the same problem. At exactly under six months, the TV fails. I purchased this 40" Westinghouse LED Model UW40TC1W at Costco in July and soon discovered that it began doing things on its own. While watching, the volume would begin to increase on its own until it maxes out. I would need to continue pressing the down volume for about 30-60 seconds until it would finally stop increasing. Also, occasionally, I would walk into the room and find that the TV would be on. It had turned on all by itself. Also, while watching, it would go into reset mode and I would need to reset the input settings. It would usually do this three to six times until it settled down and then I could watch TV normally. I contacted Westinghouse customer service and they advised that they had not encountered this problem before. They recommended that I exchange the unit at Costco. So I did.

Soon after installing the new set, the same problems occurred. I began looking for potential external infrared interference that could possibly affect the TV's operation and found none. I covered the remote controls so no inadvertent signals were emitted to the set, yet the problem continued. I again called Westinghouse and asked if it was possible that I could have purchased two units with the exact same problem. They advised that perhaps it was a lot problem. I again exchanged the unit at Costco. Now, on the third unit, (you guessed it) we're having the same problem. I tried moving it to other rooms and outlets and the same problem persisted. Once again, I called Westinghouse and they continued to say that this is the first time they had heard of this problem. This time, I decided to keep the set for about two months and just live with the problem.

Also, it would allow time to exchange the unit for one that was perhaps manufactured from a different lot. I am now on my fourth unit and am still experiencing the same problems. I'm stumped. I cannot determine (neither can Westinghouse) what is causing the problem. Except for this annoyance, the picture and sound are really quite good. I'm hoping someone out there may have some insight into this.

After reading these reviews, I wonder if I dare or if I'll ever see it again and if they won't send me some pile of junk that fails, too. As I purchased an extended warranty, I'm thinking of waiting until that kicks in next February and just getting a reimbursement or replacement. In the meantime, I figure I'll purchase a real TV by a real manufacturer.

We received this Westinghouse TV, model CW26S3CW, on 8/17/12 as a replacement for one which I returned on 7/23/12. The newer model has more problems than the one I returned. We are on Mediacom cable and should receive over 100 channels, but can only get 17. When we talked with a representative, she (Kimberly) said the problem was because we aren't getting a stronger enough signal. That can't be true as our other three TVs all get over 100 channels. We replaced the cable to see if that was the problem. It was not. We are not getting a high definition picture as we did on the original set. I think we should be sent a TV that works. If you want this one back, send a prepaid return mailing label.

46" LCD 4655VX 1080TV - I purchased this Westinghouse product in 02/12 and the picture and sound snap off. I called ABC Warehouse where I purchased this product with a warranty (which I will never do again) to see if I could return it to the store. I was referred back to the customer service number, which I had already called and was told they would send out free shipping labels and it was up to me to ship the TV back to Westinghouse. After reading numerous complaints for the same defect, no resolutions and customers still waiting, I too will never buy this brand again!

I bought a 32'' LCD TV from Target last Christmas. In late May, the TV stopped working. It just wouldn't turn on anymore (no image, no sound). I contacted Westinghouse and they asked me to ship it back to them at my own expense. I was hesitant but I was either left with throwing it away or spending more money to get a replacement piece of crap. I decided to send it back but I wasn't prepared for how much it would cost me. I had to pay $90 to ship it from SF, CA to their warehouse in TX. I was furious! The TV lasted me less than six months and I shelled out $300 for it and now another $90 for another piece of crap that will likely burn out in less than six months! I should have spent the full $400 for a better brand and bigger size. I have only myself to blame. Stay away from this crappy brand.

The TV is not working after 6 months, which is same as others on here. It has been 6 months since we bought our TV and it just shut off and won’t work at all now. I have called Westinghouse 10 times over seven days and they kept giving me a runaround. They said they would send a shipping label through email to me to ship the TV back through FedEx to them. Every time I call, they give me a lame excuse as to why it hasn’t come through yet. If they are giving me a runaround now with the shipping label, what is going to happen once I do send the TV?!

As many other angry consumers on this site said, our 34" Westinghouse TV's screen went totally black, but audio is OK. I called Best Buy, where we purchased it. One salesperson said this has happened repeatedly with Westinghouse and the salesperson would never buy a Westinghouse TV. Best Buy knows this, the person said, but several angry reviewers said nothing was done about it. All they got was the runaround. We will just go back to Sony. We had great experiences with them for several years.

My review will be similar to others. I purchased a 46" LCD TV and it lasted 6 months before it just died. Picture quality was so so and sound was horrible on this set. I put in warranty claim with Westinghouse and they are flat out useless. I had to wait 30 days to see if they could get parts in, then I had to wait another 30 days to see if they could find a replacement (ironic the manufacturer has no TVs in stock!). They authorized me to send the TV back for a refund, and now they refuse to respond to calls. They claim there is nobody that can assist, and when I request to speak to a supervisor or somebody with authority, they deny your request. I am still awaiting a response after shipping the TV back 3 weeks ago on a refund. I am urging retailers to please stop selling an inferior product from a company that does not support their products or value their customers. This will be the last purchase of anything from Westinghouse, and I urge others to purchase with extreme caution.

I purchased this Westinghouse TV LD-4655VX as a family gift for Christmas. We loved the TV. It was a good bargain and it was the largest TV we had ever had. One day in May (about six months later), it shut off. I checked the power supply and outlet and the problem wasn't there. It had been on a power supply from day one, so it had been protected. I was expecting for a quick resolution because Westinghouse is a well known name. I contacted their customer support and they said they were referring my case to a local service company. It took several days to get in touch with the service company. After my initial contact with them, it took another 4 days for an engineer to get with me. I was then told (without them ever looking at the TV) that the replacement part was on back order with Westinghouse. After a week of waiting, still no replacement part.

After the end of the 2nd week, they said that they would have to refer my case back to Westinghouse. This seemed like it would be simple. I was thinking "Westinghouse is a reputable company, they are going to take care of me." At first, Westinghouse could not help me. They said that they had not received the case back from the service company. A couple of days later and several phone calls, Westinghouse was finally able to pull up my case. Westinghouse said that they did not have a replacement TV. At first I thought, I am going to get a bigger, nicer TV, because of all of this hassle. That was not the case. They told me that I would have to wait 30 business days until they got a replacement model in. At this point, I was really becoming annoyed. I had already waiting about a month. This had all started on May 20, 2012. I told them that I had already been waiting a month to get my TV replaced. They then informed me that I would have to wait 30 business days from today for one to come in. I would have thought that they would have a replacement model in within 30 days. After all, they are responsible for managing their supply chain, and something should be in by that point. Again, we waited.

A few days before our 30-day wait was to be up, I received an email from Westinghouse, stating the following: "We currently have a matching or compatible model number to offer you for your current in warranty event. Please contact our customer service department to discuss the model number, specifications and shipping information for the replacement unit we have available. Please contact our customer support team at the number provided below to discuss your options. Westinghouse Customer Support Center 1-800-701-0680. Our service and support team is available Monday - Friday 7:00am - 7:00pm CST (North America), Saturday - Sunday 10:00am - 7:00pm CST (North America)."

I was so excited that I was finally going to have this issue resolved. We called and guess what, they lied. Instead of having our TV in, they offered us two smaller TV's, 40" and a 22". This was totally unacceptable. This seemed like bait and switch, or maybe they never wanted to put this issue right in the first place. A couple of days later, it was July 22, 2012, and there had been no replacement TV. We called and they were going to refund us our money. All we had to do was package the TV and call FedEx to have them come pick it up. The only problem is that getting a 46 TV" packaged is not easy. We had not kept our box because we had not anticipated ever having to move this TV. It was going to stay in the same spot for at least the next 15 years. I first went to FedEx, but they will not package large TV's.

After calling all over town to find a box, UPS said they could build a box for it to be shipped in. It was going to cost us about $60. I uploaded my purchase receipt and we called Westinghouse again to find out if we just needed to upload our receipt to get reimbursed for it. This should be an expense that they have to pay, because the failure of the TV was not ours. It was poor quality on the part of Westinghouse. We made the call and they said no. They said we would have to pay for the box. Now this thing was just costing me money. Westinghouse has proven to me that they are a low quality company with horrible customer service. They failed when they sold us a TV with poor workmanship. They also failed when they had several opportunities to resolve our customer service issue. Because of this, I have no alternative than to recommend that you stay away from this company.

It was a great deal so I overlooked the brand considering my past problem with this brand. Well, here it is three months later and both of my Westinghouse TV's died! I am livid because like everyone else, I am just getting the runaround by both Westinghouse and Best Buy. Something needs to be done about this. I would be interested to be involved with any lawsuit brought on to this company.

I agree with everything that has been said. We purchased a Westinghouse 37" TV in February 2012. Exactly 95 days later, the picture started flickering, and a humming sound was coming from the TV. We purchased it from Target, along with the extended warranty. Westinghouse asked me to take a picture of the TV, and then after 2 weeks of emailing and calling, they asked me to return the TV. After reading all of your comments, I am a little reluctant to mail the TV with the anticipation of receiving a replacement. Also, once I receive a replacement, I am reluctant if the replacement will work. I refuse to say "money down the drain." I am agreeing that there needs to be a class action lawsuit against Westinghouse. I will not ever purchase a Westinghouse again.

I purchased this TV from Costco on August 10, 2010 and got the extended two year warranty that Costco provides. We purchased it for a summer home and used it for one month in 2010 and 4 months in 2011. This year in May, when we turned it on, we got no picture. Costco honored its warranty and put us in touch with Westinghouse. They shipped us a rebuilt TV and we shipped back the broken TV via FedEx in the same box. They took my CC number just in case we didn't ship the old TV back and that was fine with me. We received the rebuilt TV in one week on May 29. After one day, the rebuilt TV had a black cloud over 1/2 of the screen.

We called Westinghouse on June 5 (we wanted to give them time to get the first TV back) and they said no problem, they would just send us another rebuilt in 3 to 5 days but we never got it. We called on June 14 and they said the TV was shipped, but due to weather, it was delayed but to call back on the 18th to get a tracking number. On Monday, they said their computers were down but they would call back. No call back. Today, June 20, we called and they said the computer was never shipped. We talked to a supervisor and now they say they will send us a 32-inch and we would get it in 10 days. They wanted us to send the broken TV back first, but we refused. We shall see. I would not advise anyone to buy a Westinghouse TV. It is telling that Costco doesn't sell them anymore, probably too many complaints.

    Installation & Setup

    Reviewed June 20, 2012

I purchased a Westinghouse 46-inch flat screen HDTV at Target on Black Friday 2011. I installed it only to find the remote control limitations, you had to be within about 6-10 feet of the TV and on a truly direct line from it to get it to pick up the remote most of the time (not always). Not enough of a problem to fuss about, everything else was perfectly acceptable in terms of performance. Inexplicably, this morning, the plastic base of the television gave out while we were in another room and the television fell 3 feet to its untimely death on the floor of the living room. The screen was broken and no longer viewable. I haven't contacted the company yet, but we'll see what they have to say soon enough. The base of this product should be immediately recalled because the TV was in a protected cubby and hadn't been moved since installation, so there was no external stress placed on the part beyond an occasional Swifter pass. There’s no way this should have failed, $350 down the drain.

I purchased a Westinghouse TV model SK-19201S and used it for a year and a month. It stopped working. I understand the power supply for this model has been a constant problem as well as several other size and models of Westinghouse. I was on the phone with them 10 to 12 times asking them to fix or replace it. They finally got tired of my calls and agreed if I ship (at my expense) the TV back to them. They would replace it with a refurbished unit, same model. It worked for a couple of months. Westinghouse products are, in my estimation, garbage and should be avoided no matter what the price. They don't stand behind their products.

Well, I traded for a 30-inch LTV-30W2 TV, knowing about the power problems. I’m going to buy the new power supply board at shopjimmy.com. The part only costs about $49. All you need to replace it, is a Philips head screw driver and like half an hour of your time. What it was doing is going from the blue LED power light to an orange light and blank screen. After that, it would shut itself off. Shopjimmy also sells all other boards for the TV's. Good luck if you want to try this fix; $50 spent is better than wasting anywhere from $200 to $600+ for a TV repair or replacement you can easily do yourself or pay a neighborhood teen a couple of bucks to do it for you. Good luck, hope this helps you all out.

I bought a Westinghouse TV model VR-4625 on Black Friday of 2011. When I first got it, it had issues with the remote not working more than 5 feet away. Then, I came home from work one day and the TV was leaning really far forward. I went to see why and the base was broken. I contacted Westinghouse, offered to buy part but they wouldn’t sell it because of warranty. I had to send in the whole TV. Fine.

After a month without my TV and just got it back, all they did is remove the broken part and send the TV back without even fixing it! And to top it off, when they put the broken part, it ruined the one part to the base that was actually still good. I didn’t want to send in the bottom part of the TV, but they insisted I shipped everything that came with it, and they lost my remote! I will never buy a TV from Westinghouse ever again and would like to be part of a class action lawsuit against them!

They tell you a technician will be in contact and then they call back retelling you the same thing again and again. Today, they said we needed to send them the receipt and they will have someone to come out to pick up the TV and then issue a refund. Uhm, with all the runaround in even getting a technician to call, why the heck would we give them the TV before getting a refund? This company is horrible. Their products are junk. What good is a warranty agreement if it is not being honored? I have filed complaints with the FTC and the BBB. Never, ever will we buy something from this company. It seems as if this is a very well-known problem, so why they are allowed to continue to get away with this is beyond me. We had to buy another TV, which is an RCA, and hopefully we have better luck. I mean, it can't get much worse.
