I had a TV go out without a receipt or date of purchase They addressed my issue in a timely manner. I had a 55 inch Roku TV. They replaced it with a 43 inch TV. I am disabled and did not have any money to replace TV. They were great and I appreciate all they did for me. Excellent customer service.

Purchased the Generator AND 4 year extended warranty (Asurion). Generator delivered and would not work right out of the box. Called Westinghouse and was asked the basic, low-level IQ scripted first level support questions: "Is the battery connected?", "Is there gasoline in it?", "Take out the spark plug and put it back". They would not schedule a service tech until I would confirm I did all of these things.
Once I confirmed that all of this was done (including "did you put the oil in") - they sent me to the Warranty company "This is not a Westinghouse issue - we can guarantee parts but warranty handles this" - The warranty company sent me back to Westinghouse and this continued for months and months and finally I had to pay $150 out of pocket for a Westinghouse certified tech to tell me "send it back to Westinghouse - it's defective". $1,049 for a brand new generator, $143 for warranty and $150 for service and I am without a generator, or any service guarantee honored by Westinghouse. Asurion is another SCAM service - I will be posting a separate review about them.

I bought this 24-inch Westinghouse television for the breakfast nook. It was not near any heat source or smoke. It lasted less than a year and crapped out completely. Don't know if it has any kind of guarantee or warranty, but I probably wouldn't bother sending it back anyway. It goes into the trash.

*WESTINGHOUSE WILL NOT HONOR WARRANTIES.* I purchased a Roku TV from them. The audio became defective within 6 months. After providing evidence and jumping through all the hoops, they agreed I was entitled to a warranty refund. I was told it would take 45(!) business days to process my refund check. It has been 60 days and counting. When I call customer service, they say that because of "unfortunate circumstances" in the financial department, the check has not been issued and there is no time frame for me to receive it. If you ask to speak to a supervisor, you will be told they are in a meeting. They are clearly ripping people off. It's shameful that stores like Best Buy carry their products.

We bought a Westinghouse TV for a raffle to raise money for vets. By the time we plugged it in, we saw the screen was cracked. Best Buy, where we bought it told us it was beyond the two week return policy. They suggested we contact Westinghouse. Westinghouse wouldn’t honor their warranty because they said the screen was cracked. It was cracked when it was sold to us. They could care less if this TV was for a veteran meeting post. Vets should not support this company. There are many more who generously give to the men who risked their very lives so they could build a company where they can rip people off. Sadly, there are no recourses. I am considering reporting them to BBB.

I bought a Westinghouse iGen 4500 generator from Westinghouse last year. I like the generator. It works great, when it works. However, the battery died on it and now I can't find a replacement battery. I ordered one from Westinghouse but they sent the wrong battery. The customer support response was only "you can ship the battery back to us." No other offer to help me get the correct battery, no offer to pay for shipping the wrong battery they sent me back to them. I can't use the generator without a battery to start it. I am very disappointed in their lack of customer support and will never buy a Westinghouse product again.

I bought this brand thinking it would be a good TV and the company would back their product. The first TV I bought on July 17, 2023 and it quit working. Amazon replaced it on July 25, 2023. The second TV quit working on 9/25/23 and I contacted them. They even tried a factory reset & it still didn't work. Well, I was really, wrong about Westinghouse. They said to get a refund they expect me to pay for an electronic TV removal (with pictures of proof) that costs more than the TV did to start with. It should not be my place to dispose of their bad product. I am completely dissatisfied with the company and will never buy from them again!!!!

Westinghouse will never allow you to have your equipment warrantied because they don't pay the companies doing the work. So most companies are suing them. Plus if you are waiting on someone to call you back you might just pass away from old age before you hear back from them. But hey look at the other side, if they find a company that is still willing to do warranty work for Westinghouse it will be an hour long trip to get service. At your expense.

Very disappointed in this TV. I have a couple of different brands of smart TVs, and this is the only one that has this issue. Every couple of weeks the TV suddenly loses sound and has to be unplugged and then plugged back in to correct the issue. Sadly, apparently I am not alone in this issue, because when I googled the problem that's how I discovered the "fix". It just happened AGAIN so that's what prompted me to write this review. Avoid this brand in Smart TVs!

I purchased a generator in March of 2022 and it comes with a 3 year warranty. It turns out the oil sensor wire needed to be disconnected. When I asked if they would replace the part, they said they couldn't because it was part of the engine. They offered nothing other than that I needed to check the oil. I would have expected them to exchange the machine if they sent me bad engine parts, but they have not offered anything. Also, their spark plug tool they sent me doesn't work, so I asked them for help fixing that and they told me I had to take it to a service place. Totally defeats the purpose of a warranty if you ask me. Those parts are necessary to properly maintain the unit. I am extremely unhappy.

I purchased my TV from BJ's Warehouse via their app. 10 months later the liquid in the screen began to pool in the corner and the frame was actually melted and hot to the touch. (I had the TV on for roughly 20-30 minutes.) I called the support line and was directed to email information and pictures. No problem, until I was asked for proof of proper disposal. I was not made aware that this is "standard operating procedure" - and now I'm told they cannot "move to the next" step without these pictures. Then they said since I did not send the pictures, get the signature of the person that witnessed me dispose of it.
This has been going on for almost 2 months. I ask for a supervisor- they have been in a meeting for 3 weeks now. When I called recently, I'm told that my case was escalated to a "higher department". But they don't know the name of the department or have a contact number. This is absolutely asinine!! I will NEVER buy anything from this brand again!!

I bought a 55 inch TV from this brand at Target 8 months ago and it already had a problem. A band appears at the bottom of the TV which duplicates and discolors the image. I contacted the manufacturer to inquire about the warranty. The answer was absurd. That they would not exchange the product and that I should recycle it and that they would later return the amount paid. However I went after recycling and companies want to charge 150 to 180 to recycle and give a receipt. That is, there will be almost nothing left of the amount paid for me to have another TV working. They have no respect for the consumer, a real scam. Worst quality brand. Run away from her. Do not buy anything from this brand. They do not assume the problems of their products that are of poor quality.

Bought a 75" Roku enabled TV and the Roku remote was missing. Sealed box so Best Buy would not help. Called Westinghouse customer service on 9/30/22 to open a case. Never heard back. Called again on 10/06/22 and happened to get the same original person on the line. He explained to me he submitted a request to the warehouse and has not heard back - no other information available, just waiting on "them". Basically no help, so I asked to speak to a supervisor - would have one call me back - no callback. I called again on 10/13/22 - "still waiting on warehouse to respond"-no supervisor available again-gave me number to corp office in CA-called there and got VM - left VM - no call back. Called again 11/16/22 - waiting on warehouse-no supervisor available-will have supervisor call me back-verified corp office number in CA-got name of person at corp office that I would be calling-Ibept **-no call back from sup.
LM at corp office again-no call back from Ibept. Today is 11/22/22. I will admit this is only a $30 problem thanks to Amazon. I was at least able to download the roku app on my phone and get the tv to work the day I got it. I then spent $30 on a roku remote from amazon. Everything works fine. My continued efforts calling Westinghouse is not about the $30 remote anymore, it's about the fact that over $30, Westinghouse is willing to provide this crappy of a customer experience for someone that purchased a 75" TV from them.
The only other resolution they ever offered was that I could return the item to where I purchased it. That might be viable solution, but I would rather spend $30 on a remote than carry a 75" TV back to a store! I can't imagine that Westinghouse cares about the $30 either, I think this is more of an example of how terrible they are at managing their customer service reps, and/or the process of making things right for the customer after their quality control process for packaging fails in the 1st place.

I purchased a brand new igen 4500 and from the beginning I was experiencing issues. I had to take it to a service center twice to get repaired and the unit only has 5 hours of total run time!! Even when I took it to the service center they respectfully told me that these generators are made very poorly and break down all the time. After they replaced what Westinghouse told them to replace the unit still ran poorly. I have been calling westinghouse for over a month and no one will answer nor call me back. Since I wasn't getting a response from them I tried to diagnose the unit my self. I turned it on and the unit started to spark and caught on fire. My niece was close by playing and could have gotten seriously injured but westinghouse still doesn't care and won't return my calls. Do not waste your money on these pieces of junk. The remote only works for the power button now, HDMI ports have constant issues playing sound, constantly opens Google Play in the background even tho the remote has no batteries. Using it without the remote doesn’t work as the TV itself doesn’t have all the buttons on it to function fully. Tried several universal remotes and none have been able to connect. Then, when you leave an updated review outlining this misrepresentation, they deny the less-than-positive review with an email that says "Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!" So, they trick you in to leaving a review, and only allow positive reviews. This is not indicative of ethical company. Sad really. The customer care is the worst I have ever seen and I truly mean that. They have promised me the moon and gave me 0. I ask to speak to a higher up manager or someone that's in charge. Well that's a big no. I have told them I live on disability and can't afford to mail them this 50 inch tv to them and get insurance. The people in customer service will tell you just what you want to hear and not the truth. I know the refund policy says to mail it. I purchased a Westinghouse TV approximately three years ago. Until now, it’s worked fine, but now that I no longer use cable, I need to use an antenna. I purchased a couple of antennas and installed them on my Samsung TVs with no problems. When I went to do the same on the Westinghouse, an error code came up and stated that I needed a code to access the antenna port and I needed to call in or go online to do it. What?!?! Whoever heard of needing a code to use an antenna? I reached customer service and was given a case number for reference. I then went through all the different steps of trying to use the antenna with the agent. Very frustrating experience! She concluded that my tv was broken and I needed to take it to a television repair shop. Huh? I don’t think so- my brother is a television repair man (for many many years) who has never encountered this type of problem.
It seems the remote will not allow me to go to the page where the code is entered. Remember- the tv was working fine until now. Why would a company require a code to access something that is supposed to be included in the tv. I even have an Emerson that also was an easy switch to the antenna. I will NEVER purchase another television from this company. I have had appliances that worked beautifully- they should just stick to the appliance business and stay away from televisions. What an incredible rip off. They know their TVs are flawed and they offer no solution!

They refuse to help and only ask for more pictures and information that is impossible to provide considering it has to come from Best Buy where it was purchased. But Best Buy doesn’t supply that information. So they have their loophole to never stand behind their products. I’ve learned a lot through this. Never purchase a product from a business that won’t stand behind the products they sell. If they say they have a year warranty then Best Buy should stand behind it if they won’t. I have purchased many things from Best Buy over the years but I will never do business with them again. I honestly try to shop local and keep my money close helping the community but I can’t with Best Buy anymore. I’m done and going to throw this brand new 65” 4K tv in the dumpster. Please save your money and never buy a Westinghouse tv.

I got my Westinghouse microwave on sale to replace a microwave. I have used it for over 10 years without any problems. The buttons to operate it are large and easy to read, the bell is sufficiently loud. The white color goes with any decor. Inside there is a glass plate that revolves so the food cooks evenly. The walls are easy to clean in case something splatters inside. The microwave is also relatively light so I can easily move it to clean under it. I like that there is a clock to indicate the time as well. I would definitely purchase this brand again and would recommend it to friends and family.

I purchased this microwave because of its smaller size. It was difficult to find any microwave under 22 in. wide to fit under the counter space allocated when our kitchen was redone. I also did not want a built-in under the counter or one mounted above the stovetop. We have had many microwaves over the years and all of them worked very well, including the present one. Size was our biggest issue. More manufacturers need to make them smaller in width.

After this, I received an email that I needed to show proof of recycling the TV at a recycling plant. This would include pictures of the TV, pictures of the place it is being recycled. I completed this and sent an email back with the pictures on November 30, 2018.
I received an email of acknowledgment of receipt of the information. I have called back every three weeks or so to check on the status and have been told that there is an issue in the accounting department with their system and soon as it is up and running and/or the accounting department reports back to them, the refund would be issued. It is now four months since the claim was filed and I'm being told the same story.

So I guess Westinghouse gets a bad reputation. This is what I can tell you about mine. We bought this TV years ago when flatscreens were barely a thing. To give you an idea of the time period I'll share with you the inputs it has. It has on air regular TV, HDTV the new "over the air" television signal, VGA, 2! Yes 2! Component inputs, composite video, S-Video, and 1 yes just 1 HDMI input. HDMI was barely becoming a thing and component was the go to in High Definition at the time.
It also had a built in DVD player which again for the time was very innovative. The DVD player has since stopped working but the TV is still working after all these years and hands down has the best picture I've ever seen. I love this TV so much so that my siblings and I have fought over who gets to keep it. It currently sits in my video game room as I find it has the best set of inputs for my retro video game set up. I'm sure "they don't make them like they use to" but that can be said about most things. Hopefully this helps Westinghouse's rep a little bit.

Remember, people share only negative reviews usually, so think about how many happy people there are as well with their TVs. Also it might be the difference between their “smart” tv which seems to be where the issues are, versus non-smart, which is what I have. I wish I had read the reviews here before buying a Westinghouse 50 in 4K Smart TV from the Best Buy in Brentwood MO at the advice of their salesperson. Like many others, after only four months my TV would turn on but have a black screen, no video/audio. I had not purchased the Best Buy protection program, so was instructed to contact Westinghouse's offshore customer service center. After repeated phone calls and emails, including sending a ridiculous number of photos of the TV in its 'non-operating state', I finally received a confirmation from Westinghouse that they considered my TV to be defective and would be replaced, and provided very specific directions that I ship my TV in the original package to freight terminal in Los Angeles at my expense (no drop offs allowed). Unlike most other reviewers, I paid UPS $136 and shipped my TV as instructed.
A week later I received an email indicating that my case had been closed to my satisfaction, followed by a second email indicating the TV had been damaged in transit (big surprise, a defective TV that no longer works), and would no longer be replaced by Westinghouse. I was instructed to contact my carrier for a settlement. I did so, and UPS was very helpful, but Westinghouse refused to provide instructions allowing UPS to pick up the 'damaged' TV and packaging for evaluation. So I could not collect on the insurance purchased at UPS, and was now out my $499 purchase price, my $136 shipping fee, and my TV. The manager at the Brentwood MO Best Buy suggested I return to the store and pay full retail for a replacement unit, strongly suggesting that I purchase their protection package at an additional 20% charge above the cost of the unit.
Some additional research uncovered the fact that the Westinghouse TV brand is actually now part of Tongfang's growing portfolio of TV brand names. The Chinese electronics manufacturer sells those Westinghouse-brand TVs through a subsidiary called Westinghouse Electronics. The Good news is that this company has nothing to do with the Westinghouse Corporation well known for its participation in the US Government's Military Program for nuclear energy programs (thank goodness). Apparently that company is now owned by Toshiba. So that familiar household name and industry leading manufacturer of American-made electronics we thought we were buying from? Looks like we were really just being ripped off by a Chinese software company based in Beijing.

I wrote to their customer service department using a link from Westinghouse's website and a rep replied the next day. The reply consisted of a request for a picture of the serial number on the TV along with a picture of the receipt showing I paid for it. Really, guys? I could waste less time driving to my local hardware store to purchase the screws for less than a dollar. But what the hell, I played along. I took the pictures they requested and shot an email back to them. Here's the cherry on top: my email was RETURNED as "the recipient's mailbox is full." LOL
First: they treat me as a criminal until I complied with their demands of proof, all over six lousy screws. Second: their IT department is, at best, lacking. Silly me would expect a larger email inbox for a pretty sizable corporation. Third: the TV's sound quality is absolutely terrible. The picture is OK, though, and it's being used in a bedroom, so it works fine for the purpose it was purchased for. The Westinghouse name used to be synonymous with quality, but because this country is run by the almighty dollar, quality and service have been sacrificed. Too bad. I asked the store workers if others had returned their Westinghouse TV for the same reason. Kohl's said they were not aware of any problems with the Westinghouse TVs. They exchanged it for another one in store - same model# WD32HX1120.
My mom used the replacement TV for a few months, and the sound on this second 32" Westinghouse TV stopped working. I just tried to take the TV back to Kohl's only to find their store policy changed and they don't take TVs back without the original receipt, in the original box within 30 days of purchase. I have the exchange receipt, but not the original receipt.
I dread having to tell my Mom, a senior citizen on a fixed income that Kohl's no longer has a fair return policy. I have no working TV for her. I'm more than disappointed that two Westinghouse TVs had the exact same problem. I don't know if all Westinghouse TVs have the same poor quality. Beware. I searched high and low for a basic, no frills washing machine that was made in the USA. The Hydrowave by Westinghouse fit the bill. For the first year, it was fine. And then it all started to go downhill. First of all, the choice of water levels is a joke, because it's going to fill up to 'whatever' regardless of where the knob is set. Secondly, the water temps do the same thing. I want cold, it gives me hot. I want hot, it gives me cold. Sometimes it actually completes the full cycle, other times it fills and then just turns off, so an hour later I go to put, what I think are clean clothes, into the dryer and instead they're still sitting there in a tub full of water. It has a mind of its own.

If something breaks under manufacturer's warranty that I bought new I should get a new one if mine can't be repaired, all this trouble is not worth it and they know it. I am reaching out to Consumer Affairs regarding Westinghouse policy on their television repairs. The Westinghouse repair location is located in California, which may be good if I wasn't located in Philadelphia, PA. According to the policy, regarding repairs, I must ship the television that is defective from Philadelphia to California on my own dime. The cost to ship a 55 inch television across the country is quite expense, totaling $425.00, which is the total cost of the television itself. Westinghouse does not cover a single dime of the shipping cost, and I simply cannot afford to ship the television. It would now cost me, almost, $1,000.00 for a television that was only $399.99.
Also, Westinghouse does not guarantee I will receive a fixed television, and if they cannot fix the television they will send a refurbished television. If I wanted a refurbished television I would have purchased a refurbished television. I don't understand why they cannot simply fix my product at my location or at least pay for the shipping of an expensive piece of electronic equipment.
I purchased the product from Target, where I also purchased their extended warranty from Square Trade. The people at Square Trade could not be any more apologetic for our situation and have been extremely helpful. Square Trade would send an employee out to fix the television but cannot because the television is under a factory warranty. Westinghouse is putting an unnecessary burden on the individuals purchasing their products. If you are guaranteeing your product for the year then they should be required to pay for shipment to a facility on the other side of the country. The picture is equal to the Sony. The Westinghouse sound is by far louder than the Sony and very clear and crisp. We do not have a soundbar on either TV, just comparing regular speakers on both. In all fairness I've only had the TV for 3 weeks, so I don't know if it will stand up to time, but so far we are very pleased with this TV for a bedroom television. The weight of the TV is only 14 pounds compared to the Sony which is 110 pounds. We both love the fact that it is lightweight, able to move it with no problems. I don't like the power cord because it came with a converter that you have to plug in, but it's hidden behind my entertainment center so whatever. Great TV for the price in my opinion. I just got off the phone with the customer service department. My TV, which I just purchased in November, stopped working last night. There was a storm in my area, and my TV is connected to a surge protector. Everything but the TV is working, but the customer service office doesn't even want to help me. Let me say my xbox, blue ray player, router, and cable box all still work but the TV doesn't (all were connected to the same surge protector). All I heard is the warranty doesn't cover storms, but how do we know it's not defective if nobody will even look at it, plus what's the purpose of a warranty if I'm using a surge protector and taking care of the TV. I got the same "canned response" from the supervisor, after the first agent did nothing for me. Poor customer service, and they kept asking me to hold for "one to two minutes", then I was placed on hold for about 7 minutes. I will never buy another product from this company.

Our business recently purchased a Westinghouse TV to hang in our fitness center. It arrived in March and the box looked completely normal. It didn't have any holes, bends, etc. Upon first look of the TV everything appeared normal. We got ready to hang the TV in June and as soon as we turned it on, the screen was completely cracked and was obviously not in working condition. After I contacted Westinghouse, I was asked to submit a ticket including pictures of the TV as well at the receipt of purchase. I was then contacted with this statement, "The description that you sent us is considered physical damage and is not covered under the warranty." So, receiving a broken TV is NOT covered under the warranty. Unbelievable.
We, as a business, will NEVER purchase another Westinghouse product. I warn everyone to think twice about ever purchasing from Westinghouse. If you receive your electronic and it's broken, you will be out whatever money you spent and you will not receive a working product. I can't imagine they will be able to continue to stay in business with these types of policies and procedures.

While I was setting it up it kept wanting to shut down after 60 secs (who can set up a TV in 1 minute? I can't). It will not hold the network password even though it has great signal strength. It has to be re-entered every time turn on the TV. I too contacted customer service. We didn't watch it much so it was gently used, well recently the TV would turn on but no picture would show and the sound did not work. So sad that it only worked for a short time and of course just enough time for the warranty to no longer be available. I think this was the plan, make cheap products and then make sure they only work as long as they have a warranty and then when the warranty is void the product stops working. I've had the tv mounted to my bedroom wall for the past six months and recently decided to move it to my living room over the weekend. The TV had been on and working fully before the move. I powered off the TV, unplugged it from the wall. My brother and I carried it into the living room and placed it on the mount. I plugged it back in and powered it on only to find cracks in the color of the picture.
I contacted the company and was told to send them a picture. I sent them a picture of it powered off (no cracks/no scratches) and powered on (so that the cracks in the color were visible) they then proceeded to tell me that this is physical damage and is not covered under the warranty. However once you select a different screen or channel after watching tv for an hour it will go back to the original set-up screen. You have to physically get up and select all your options for it to be set-up. The reason I am giving this 3 stars compared to 1 is that it never cuts out while I am actually in the middle of a show and while it is playing picture is a beautiful picture. I purchased a 32 inch DWMH1G1 TV on 7/11/2015. It worked great when I first set it up. I only use the TV set once in a great while in my bedroom. 6 months later and the screen started to go bad. It had lines all over the screen and a pinkish color to it. I called the customer service number for Westinghouse and was told to send them a copy of my receipt, a picture of the front and back of the TV set with serial number and model number, and a brief description of what was wrong with it. I did all of this and then didn't hear back from them for three days so I called them.
The lady on the phone told me after they reviewed the pictures that it would be covered but needed one more picture of the front of the TV. I sent that picture in also and then call them again. This time they told me that the TV had been physically damaged so it would make the warranty void. I then called them back again and they told me to send them another picture of the front of the TV screen with nothing hooked up to it and power on. I did this and it showed the vertical lines in the center with no signal. They told me at this time it would then be covered under warranty again but needed to send one more picture of the front of the TV which I did again. I then called them back and ask if they received my picture and they said they didn't get it so I sent in another one. Then I called them back again and they told me that it now is not covered due to the fact that there is physical damage.
I don't understand how a TV can be physically damaged when it is almost brand-new and never move from the spot it was originally put in. The TV had never been hit or misused or mistreated in anyway shape or form yet they claim it had physical damage on the inside of the screen and will not cover the warranty. I called again and asked to speak with someone in upper management and I am still waiting for a call back from them. It is very frustrating to know that you spend your hard earned money on a TV set expecting it to last for at least a few years and it only last six months and the company won't stand behind their products. I am very very disappointed at this point.

As a television repair/ engineer I chose Westinghouse over the other brands due to the fact that this brand is built with high quality components (Model TX-42F430S) and had a full selection of inputs (10 Full Inputs) required for all my equipment and this unit has a preformed far better than any TV set available at the time. This TV has a picture you can watch without being so "Over Bright" that it could destroy your eyesight. This is a problem that is now happening with most TVs. I also chose this item because of ease of repair and is a USA engineered product. I do not support any TV manufacturer that holds all of the repair information and parts away from the second party servicer (that's that the guy on your street/ town who has a repair shop and is at the mercy of the manufacturer who keeps him from getting the parts). This is a shame that we have to fight the manufactures all the time as a servicer.
In California there is a law (Beverly- Song Warranty act) that is violated every moment of every day by the manufacturers, that guarantees reasonable priced parts and service information to second party sevicers or product owners (for 7 years, use to be 13!) the ability to get the parts and information. This includes electronics, cars and anything to do with such. Big violator like Samsung and Vizio etc... get away with this by only supplying parts to the big box stores like Best Buy and if they would sell the parts then you would be gauged with prices over the cost of the TVs worth. But most of the manufacturers restrict them from selling repair parts anyway. This is only the beginning. OK, now you got a bit to work with.

I have multiple brands of television. My Samsung is my most prominent tv although I use my Westinghouse almost as much. I find the Samsung very difficult to program. I am unlikely to buy another. I have a vixen, but I have not used it.

We purchased this TV several years ago because the TV that we had then was beginning to show signs of failure. We saw this one advertised on QVC while flipping through channels. When I looked closely, it looked decent enough, so we purchased it. Six easy payments was a good deal. This is a Westinghouse 32" LCD HD TV with 720p resolution. My eyes were getting bad enough that I needed something better than our old tube.
We have had this TV for well over 7 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. The picture is clear and sharp and the sound is pretty realistic. I have used it with satellite and cable and have been happy with the results. It has a built in DVD player, but that is now having trouble reading the disc, so I just use my Blu-ray player that I have attached to it. I currently have cable and have my Blu-ray player as well as a Roku device connected. The TV has only two HDMI ports and no USB port which is the main downside of this TV. Overall, it is a decent TV that can be used in a kid's room or as a second TV in a bedroom. We will keep this TV until it falls apart because it works and works well. I would recommend Westinghouse to anyone who is interested in a first time HD TV.

I'm just writing a general review on my Westinghouse 39" TV. In summary, it's a piece of junk and has been since day one. Poor picture quality and just recently it started producing this ear piercing sound that makes it impossible to watch. I have had this TV for about 3 years and have literally turned it on less than a couple of dozen times - I rarely watch TV - so this should not be happening. I wish I would have done more research before buying this TV. I was just wanting a basic, inexpensive TV for the few times that I want to watch something, but this was a waste of my money.

New 55" Westinghouse went out. No video, only audio. Warranty no good in home repair on 50" or better not applicable. One year warranty, tv failed after 8 mos. want me to send in at my expense and receive a used tv to replace with a 90 day warranty. Cost 300 dollars to send in. Terrible service. Do not buy one.

My husband has been trying to reach a real person at Westinghouse and has to leave a message every time as they are either busy or away from their desks. Ok, I get that. But when they call back he is always gone. Here is the conversation; "May I please speak to Jim", I say. NO. They do not leave a message, they just hang up. So today the lady's response was in a very rude tone. "Well, could you tell him he keeps calling us and leaving a message and when we call back you refuse to let us talk to him", and she hangs up.
So I always feel I do not have to tell people why they can't speak to anyone in my family after I say "No", where they are or what they are doing is their business. But had they given me a number and name for him to call back I would have written it down and given it to the proper person. Yes, I went over the 200 recommended number of characters here but I am so angry. Does Westinghouse customer service need to know if someone is in the bathroom? Or if they are at the doctor's office? Or having sex at the moment? Pretty sure those are all private and personal. So a simple "no" seems appropriate to me. After today's call I think I can see why Westinghouse has a poor rating.

Westinghouse 42" TV Model#DWM42F2G1 - Have had this TV since October 2014; I rarely use the TV as it is in my basement so probably at maximum 1 time per month since it was installed. Just went to try and use the TV and the screen will not turn on. After messing with it for several hours it turned on briefly. I turned it back off, and it won’t turn on again. Not sure what the issue is and completely frustrated at this point. I will never buy this product ever again.
