I purchased 80 Westinghouse 32" LED TVs from Costco and 3 months later, I started having problems with them. There’s no picture, but audio is good. I returned approximately 15 to the store before I ran out of my 90-day grace period for returns. I now have to ship the units back to Westinghouse for repair. This is extremely tedious since you have to spend 30 minutes on the phone with a company rep to get a claim number and then pack and ship back the unit, only to have to wait for them to ship you back a refurbished unit. Is there a class-action lawsuit out there where I can join and try to recoup ever increasing business loss due to these poorly made TVs?

I have been having the same problems listed, sound, no picture, super frustrating. After turning on and off my TV (Westinghouse LD 3235) of only 6 months, on a daily basis I found this page. I sort of followed the advice of Jim. I nervously took the cover off, found the plug he was speaking of. Now, I am in no way, shape or form mechanically or technically inclined, so I was super scared to pull the plug completely off, so I didn’t. I did wiggle it quite a bit and then pressed it back down to make sure it felt connected all the way, I turned on the TV and wallah it works (for now). I have had it on for a few hours now and no blue screen with just sound. Hopefully this helps someone else. Maybe try this before sending the TV back, good luck.

It is my hope that this post will benefit other consumers. Right before Christmas 2011, I bought a Westinghouse 46 inch LCD TV from a Best Buy store in Fresno, California. Three months later, the Westinghouse TV I bought stopped working completely. I called Westinghouse and they referred me to Best Buy. Best Buy then sent me back to Westinghouse. It has now been two months and numerous hours of work and jumping through hoops and the TV is still not repaired. I called several times to submit the information they require (lots and lots of red tape). I was finally told to mail the TV to them at my expense and wait for a refund. I am now wondering whether they are operating in good faith, because they told me that if I mailed the TV to them, it would only be insured for $100. I am very disappointed with the Westinghouse company and will never buy another product from them. Thanks.

I just had my 32" Westinghouse with built-in DVD player repaired a month ago for $250.00. It had sound and no picture. As of a couple of days ago, it now comes on as it should and then within five to ten minutes, it just shuts itself off. Has anyone had this problem? I just tried to contact Westinghouse Helpline, which to my surprise, somehow ended up to be a paid help line costing $59.99 if they answer your question. I immediately got out of that and then found this information. Something needs to be done. This is absurd. If anyone figures out a solution or how to get in touch with Westinghouse directly, please let me know.

32" Westinghouse TV blinks - Jim was right. If you take the top door off and look for the cable that connects to the main board, you may solve the problem. For how long? I do not know. To remove it from the main board, you have to squeeze the clips on each side of the cable and pull straight up. After re-seating the cable, I still had the problem until I moved and pulled (lightly) on the cable. It seems to be working so far. Oops, as I was typing this, it began to blink but I moved the cable again and it straightened up. I need some electrical tape so I can secure it in the same position; unfortunately, I do not have any. If you trace the cable, it runs towards the top of the TV and there is another clip there that you can try to make sure is seated correctly. It is very hard to reach but luckily, I have some long fingers. This is, without a doubt, a manufacturing problem.

I had the same problem with my 32" Westinghouse LD-3235 LED flat screen. I searched on the internet and found the following solution and it worked, saved me from sending it in. Take the TV off its mounting bracket or if on a stand, turn the back towards you. There are two little compartment doors with screw access. Unscrew the top one and "carefully" pull out the ribbon cable and re-install it making sure it is firmly seated and connected. Replace the access compartment door and screw back in. Remount the TV and turn it on. It worked great now for almost 2 weeks and before, it was flickering and going to black screen and I had to turn it off and back on and it would work for a day or two. The ribbon cable must have something to do with the power to the main board that controls the picture. Try it and see.

I have had issues with the 47-inch TV since I bought it three months ago. The screen has been going black when changing a channel or changing it from one component to another. Now, it won't turn on at all. I have read complaint after complaint on here and I doubt I will even try to call Westinghouse since it sounds like it is a waste of time. I am going to try what I have heard before: unplug it, hold the power button down on the TV for at least 10 seconds, let it sit for a few minutes and then plug it back in.
If this doesn't work, I think I will just go back to saving my pennies and buying a new TV eventually. This time I think I will buy another Sony since I have had that flat screen for 6 years and had no problems. I bought this one at Target.com. They won't take it back unless you have the complete packaging with the item. Seriously? Who keeps that huge box and all its packaging more than a week or so after you buy something? A class action is a nice idea, but only worth it if you will get back what you paid for it. Lots of those suits end up with the customers only getting a few bucks.

I have had several issues since buying out Westinghouse TV and every time I call, I get told to reset the TV. Up until now, that worked. As of today, the volume won't return no matter what I do. But I shouldn't have to reset my TV every month for no picture or sound; it is only 2.5 years old. This is utterly ridiculous. I have also been told that they never received my registration for the warranty, although I sent it in and that they can't help me. I call this utter **.

I turned on the TV, and there's sound but no picture. This TV is only 6 years old, as I bought it new from Best Buy on Black Friday 2006. The TV repairs would cost more than to buy a new TV set. So I bought a Samsung 32". I found out this is a very common problem and would be interested in a class action lawsuit for this product.

My 46" TV would not turn on/off with the remote. I contacted Westinghouse who initially was reluctant to assist as the TV was manufactured more than a year ago although I purchased the TV less than 10 months ago. After diagnosing the TV by telephone, I was told the repair parts were on back order for 14 days. When the parts never came, Westinghouse then announced they would replace the TV, although this model was also back ordered an additional 30-45 days. They also advised it was my responsibility to send them the broken TV (packaging costs up to me) and they would pay the shipping. This is customer service? Two months?

We have had our Westinghouse 46" LCD TV for several years and we, like everyone else, have had the same problem. No back light, but sound. I worked in electronics for 45 years and I have managed to get it started after working on it for several hours. However, the problem keeps reoccurring every time it is shut down for more than a week. The problem is getting worse and I have called asking for a schematic for the last two years so I can find the board that has back light driver on it. I have met with the same resistance, case number, not called back or been told to send it to Houston from Angel Fire, NM. That does not make sense! Can anything be done to make Westinghouse to stand behind their product? Apparently, this is a recurring problem with all their sets.

I own a 26" LCD TV from Westinghouse. The TV was a Christmas gift from our kids. I thought I was having problems with my cable TV as there was no picture, just sound. Then, the screen would be all colored lines on it. The cable company sent me a new box but I still had the problem. I went back to Best Buy where the set was bought and they told me that I needed to call Westinghouse since we didn't have the extended coverage. Westinghouse told us we needed to mail the unit back to them at our cost for shipping. How does that help us? If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this problem, please let us know.

I purchased a Westinghouse 26" LED TV product in July of 2011. The television was placed in a spare bedroom. It was used maybe 4 or 5 times. When the TV is turned on now, there is only a blank screen. I can hear sound but no picture. I called customer service to turn in a warranty claim. I was only issued a number after I emailed a copy of my receipt. Then, I was told I would have to pay for shipping and handling anywhere from $50.00 to $100.00 to have the product shipped to Houston, TX to be repaired. I was told this was my only recourse. No other repair facility closer to me was offered. Ridiculous!
The company needs a class action lawsuit against them. Apparently, there is an issue with their product that needs to be addressed. However, these TVs are still being sold. I am angry that I was sold a lemon and now I am expected to pay on top of full price shipping to have product repaired.

It's been two months now since I shipped it and I still have no TV. I've called them 5 times. They've repaired my TV, attempted to ship it to me (they had the wrong address for some reason), it sat in a FedEx holding facility, was then shipped back to the Westinghouse repair facility in Texas and now it's on backorder? Best Buy, of course, can't do anything for me and Westinghouse keeps saying they have my case and will get back with me. Two points: Best Buy should not sell anything they cannot replace themselves and they are the ones that should have to return the products to the manufacturer since they are the ones that deal with them on a daily basis. Plus, if they did this, maybe they would quit buying products that didn’t work or don’t last. Second, Westinghouse shouldn’t be legally allowed to sell a product that is a lemon but not be required to do anything about it. Are they selling ocean front property in Oklahoma as well?

Bought a 46" LED Westinghouse TV on July 11 from Best Buy. 8 months later, it started randomly going into auto setup while we were watching TV. Called Westinghouse and they gave us a case number and turned it over to ITI.
Three days later, no call from ITI, so I called them - they will make you wait for a voice mailbox that's full and they dump your call. Back to Westinghouse, who says "can't help you, it's in ITI's hands". I called ITI again and gave the case number to the person who actually answered and we were told that the part had been ordered and they would give us status updates every 2 days until the part came in. I didn't hear anything for a week, and called them again, left a message.
When they called back, it had been 2 weeks and 3 days since the case got assigned. ITI tells us that the case was closed out by Westinghouse 2 days ago and they can't help me. I called Westinghouse and they said ITI closed out the case and there was nothing they could do. I asked for a replacement TV and they told me the replacement for my TV was on back order. Would I like to get on the back order list? I asked for a refund so I could get a non-Westinghouse TV and she said I would have to email a copy of my receipt to Corporate and get it from them. The Internet is flooded with the same complaint from others. Most just bought replacements and took the loss. Some tried to have Best Buy repair it, but they were unable to do so. Some were able to return them during the 30-day store warranty. The people who wrote glowing reviews about the set have not had the set for more than a few months, and I wager they will also end up with the problem.
Since this is such a chronic issue with these sets, Westinghouse should not be permitted to continue selling them knowing they have this issue. I think it's obvious they demand the consumer pay for the shipping because it discourages having to deal with them.

Several weeks ago, our TV started losing its picture. Its sound was perfect, just no picture. After going through the whole troubleshooting game, they decided that we needed to send the TV in for repairs. The TV seemed to be working right, and since it's a pain to send it in, we kept the TV. Here it is, several weeks later, and the TV is acting the same way, but now nothing that we do will bring the picture back. I called today to again seek repair, and was told to send it to Houston, TX at my expense. It upsets me that a 5 month old TV has these issues, but to add insult to injury, I have to pay to send it to them. I have already replaced this TV, but it would be nice if Westinghouse actually stood behind their product. I think that if they find that the set is defective, then they should reimburse the shipping cost. I guarantee that I will never buy another Westinghouse product again.

I paid over $1000.00 for Westinghouse LTV30W2 LCD TV at Best Buy several years ago, so I was no longer under warranty when the picture started to go black on me this June 2011. It would crackle, then pop and go black. I was able to bring up the menu and see that on the screen but nothing in the settings could fix the problem. After a week I could no longer get a picture again and the TV was feeling hot to the touch and smelled like burnt wiring or components. I took it to a repair shop and paid $50 to diagnose it. They said I needed a new main board or a ballast board and that would cost me an additional $200.00 for a total of $250.00. I contacted Westinghouse for a price check on the main board and was told it was $250.00 for that part. They did not offer any info on the problem being widespread with their TVs, nor that the part was not even available through them any longer. All they said was they didn't have the part in stock.
Considering the short lifespan of my Westinghouse, I would never buy another one again. All my TVs have lasted 20 years or better, replacing them only because the style was outdated. Being that I am now on a fixed income, I weighed all my cost options. Fixing mine for a total of $250.00 was not a consideration since I could purchase a new same sized, better brand TV for around $300.00. I looked around and spotted a 1996 used Sony 19" LCD stereo TV at a local Thrift store for $40.00 that was going to be 1/2 off in a week. So after being without a TV for a month, I picked up a decent little TV for $20.00. It's very heavy to lift for a portable, but the picture is perfectly clear.
Westinghouse should be made accountable and compensate us for the defective, and possibly dangerous televisions that they sold us. They are a fire hazard and they should have issued a recall notice warning their customers of this danger. Hopefully, the next unsuspecting consumer will not be sleeping when their Westinghouse blacks out on them.

We bought my mother a new TV for Christmas 2010. Two months before the warranty expired, the TV's picture went crazy. After many phone calls and e-mails, we were told we had to take photos of what the TV screen looked like, e-mail the photos, and send the TV back to the Westinghouse TV repair. No where did I see that it was the customer's responsibility to pay to ship the TV. It costs $92 for which I feel we are owed. The TV was defective and was a total inconvenience to get the TV to a UPS as I had a broken arm. Since this experience with Westinghouse, we will not be buying anything from you. After jumping through hoops (unplugging TV and cable box, waiting for several minutes, etc), the service rep tells me I have to mail the TV, at my cost (around $300), and they will look at it. It was like pulling teeth to even get this information. The CSR didn't want to give up the info. Looking at the reviews for Westinghouse, I wish I would have read them before buying the TV. I got nothing but hysterical laughter! At first, I thought I'd dialed the wrong number so I hung up and dialed again. I just got the same Pee-Wee Herman laughter! I'm shocked and angry! I purchased this TV from Target, because I couldn't believe the price from this "reputable" company. I figured I'd go for it! This is not against Best Buy. That is only where I bought the product, which is a Westinghouse LCD 26" TV. It was used very seldom at night in my bedroom. So, it still should work like new. Just after the guarantee ran out, the TV lost picture. It started out as the screen going white after a little time of use, which was okay because I was falling asleep anyhow. Now, when you turn on the TV, the screen goes white right away. It's just a very poor product now. And I wish Best Buy would stop selling them. I have read many complaints about this same thing. So, I know it's not just my TV doing this or something I did. They want us to buy American. Well, they will have to make something comparable to Panasonic or Toshiba before I do. The best TV on the market today is a Panasonic, in my honest opinion.

For all you who complained. First of all, I used to work for Westinghouse, so let me break it down for you **. If you're outside 1 year, you're out of luck with any brand. Second of all, you complain about Westinghouse but these TVs cost far less than the better brands. You get what you pay for. You are not going to file for a class action suit because you will lose like the ** that you are. As much as you trash Westinghouse, there are complaints about every brand on the internet. You can call your family and roar to everyone not to buy it. But these TVs are so cheap people will still buy them, and if you all don't buy them, they'll just change the company name to another one.
I know you all are frustrated but Westinghouse's customer support doesn't care if you're not in 1 year warranty. If your TV is in warranty and it's under 42 inches, you will pay for shipping; no in-home service. 42 and up, they will give shipping labels. They will not refund your money. So please shut up and stop complaining because of "your ** fixed income", "I'm poor and can't afford another TV". It won't move them in any way. Thats the way life is.

I purchased a Westinghouse LCD TV Model SK-19H210S (a small LCD TV) from Best Buy less than 5 years ago. It would sometimes run, sometimes not. I thought I have a loose connection or that I had connected it incorrectly - or something "my fault". Then one day, I turned it on to use and there was nothing - no picture, not even a buzz or a blip. I took it to Best Buy. They tested it in house and said it was dead. It was less than 5 years old, and of course "out of warranty" though.
This TV never ran well in retrospect. Best Buy should stop selling them. When I pay over $400 for a TV, I expect it to last for more than 4.5 years. Best Buy person had the nerve to tell me that I shouldn't expect a TV to last much longer than that, and that I should have purchased a 5-year service plan (for another $200 I'm guessing). I won't purchase another Westinghouse. And I'm not thrilled with Best Buy either. I guess it's not in their interest to sell quality products, is it? When the expectation is that everyone will simply toss our TV after less than 5 years, why stock something that has a long lifespan? Between the manufacturers and the retail stores, we consumers are cooked.

I purchased a 42" Westinghouse LED TV for $599.99 here in Knoxville, TN, on June 30th 2010. We have enjoyed watching Hi-def since getting the unit. We purchased the three years warranty for an additional $79.00.
Here is the problem in a nutshell. After loosing Hi-def signal on a regular basis, after less than a year, I have our local Charter Cable TV service people check all their equipment for defects, of which we've replaced the HI-DEF signal box and re-turned the signal to within tolerances (+12 to -12). The problem is with the 42" Westinghouse LED TV's HDMI circuit. It is starting to fail. All three HDMI ports run off the same circuit.
I forwarded on to Westinghouse which told me that I would have to ship the unit to their repair center. I cannot accomplish that because I do not have the original shipping carton that came with the unit I purchased. I kept it 45 days, then tossed it. I bought the three-year extended warranty because if I had a problem, it would be nice to have someone come out and fix it on-site or exchange it for another unit that did work properly.
I am a loyal customer who is not happy. Target says that their warranty responsibility only kicks in after the first year factory warranty has run its course. I don't want to damage my TV by shipping it back to Westinghouse because we really like it a lot.If things remain as they are now, I will be putting in a claim on July 1st 2011. If that occurs, I will be telling all 4500 Tellico Village residents that I have not had a positive experience with Target. We have a local newspaper that loves to publish articles from our members.

Although the remote allows the channels to be changed (confirmed by sound), nothing can be seen on the TV itself-- no menu screens, channel numbers, or anything else.
Interestingly, the "W" logo and normal picture flashes on for about 2 seconds after the TV is powered on, then goes black. I purchased a Westinghouse widescreen HDTV (model SK-26H240S) in April 2008 (Sam's Club was the retailer; $398+ tax). In the past few months, it has begun to turn itself off. Yesterday it turned itself off after being on for only a moment or two. I checked the cables, unplugged and re-plugged the TV into the outlet, but to no avail. The unit has died. I sought assistance from Westinghouse, first via phone (but their offices are only open M-F) and then by internet leaving them a message regarding the unit. I began searching the internet seeking more information, assistance of some sort helping me understand what was happening and why.
I stumbled across a website full of consumer complaints about the entire HDTV and LED TV lines produced by Westinghouse - all with the same complaint. Consumers are paying fair market value for these television sets believing them to be a good product based on the legacy of the Westinghouse name only to learn there is a faulty board in the unit (when serviced) that will cost more than the original cost of the television set in some cases to repair. Fellow consumers who actually get Westinghouse to respond have stated they are being offered a refurbished replacement unit for $250 plus freight cost, but Westinghouse is refusing to admit there is a known issue.
They are purposely selling an inferior product, duping consumers into another big ticket purchase within a matter of a few months or even a year or two. My financial situation is tight now that I can't just run right out at this moment and buy a new TV set. The money I spent on this one when I cashed in my retirement account to pay for my mother's medical expenses when she was diagnosed with cancer was one of the few luxury items and something that was meant to make her happier. I believe I am entitled to expect value for that money and I want Westinghouse to own their own shoddy work in the name of greed and stand by the product they sold to unsuspecting consumers for the last couple of years.
I don't believe that is too much to ask. They were paid their asking price (via Sam's Club) and now I want a quality widescreen HDTV that will last for a few more years of use while I'm in nursing school. I am out the money spent on the unit and now get to continue paying for cable service that is going unused, only adding more insult to injury. I've sent an e-mail to Westinghouse, but have no expectation of return contact after learning of other consumer's plights.

This is not the Westinghouse we Americans know. Westinghouse Digital Electronics LLC is a private company that makes LCD TVs using the Westinghouse name to market shoddy Chinese products. Westinghouse sold its brand names to several companies years ago.
Westinghouse Digital has only been in business since 2003 and the CEO is Richard Houng, the President is Douglas Woo and the Chief Technology Officer is Darwin Chang. Don't let the western first names fool you. All Chinese use a western first name in addition to their Chinese name.
These are typical Chinese commercial con-artists, most probably Taiwanese, taking advantage of Americans! They are not listed on any stock exchange so you can't get to them through their shareholders. You can get to them by cutting off their customers; Amazon.com, Best Buy, BJs, Costco & Target. Apparently, Wal-Mart has discontinued them as a supplier as all of the customer's should so Westinghouse Digital goes out of business. Inform the retailer where you bought the TV that you will never shop with them again if they continue to carry Westinghouse Digital products.

There is an inconvenient to go every time in the back of the set to unplug and plug back in the power cord this happen every day 3 to 4 times at least.

I bought a Westinghouse 32" HD LCD in March 2008 from Walmart. Today it went to dark screen with sound. I get a picture for about 1-2 seconds, then nothing. I contacted Westinghouse, Walmart and the CC company I used to purchase with, but because it was 5 months out of warranty, they would not help. I paid over $600 for this TV and it should last for more than 2-1/2 years. Odd that it would go out shortly after my extended CC warranty expired. Apparently, this is a very common problem and the manufacturer should help.

This is an exact story as Mike`s from Naperville, IL. We bought this TV in Naperville , IL at Best Buy. At that time we paid about $1300. In recent weeks, the TV has started to just turn off by itself or the screen goes black with no sound suddenly. I either have to use both the remote control and hit power or use the on/off button under the screen twice before the screen comes back on. But then, it goes off again and now I have to either turn off the power strip it's plugged into or unplug it,again, several times. I go through this process several times, then it will stay on until I turn it off. Next time I use it, it's the same old story.

I bought a Westinghouse 32" LCD TV in February 2008. As of 2 days ago, the picture went out, but I had sound. I keep reading page after page of complaints by consumers on this matter, and honestly, I just emailed a law firm in Philly, PA asking how we can file a class action law suit. I just took the TV in for repairs and I am waiting to hear back as to, how much it's going to cost. I still have the receipt for the original purchase.
Honestly a company that is aware of the problem (as per the complaints on this site), and will not take responsibility, and issue a recall, should not be allowed to put their products on the market, without remedying the problem. I'm looking for reimbursement for the damages, as is everyone else who got ripped off by Westinghouse.
My fiance is the sole provider in this family, and due to having to have the TV repaired, we will probably not be able to buy groceries to feed our son. His pay a month net is $2,200, our rent is $1,000.00, bills add up to $600.00 (yes that's utilities), and after an estimate of about $200.00 (what the gentleman at the repair place quoted before checking it out), that leaves us with $400.00 for a month. Half of which ends up in my fiance's gas tank, due to the price of gas.

I did some research and while I was unable to find an existing class action, I found 4 lawyers in the state of PA who handle class action suits. One is in Pittsburgh; the other 3 are in Philadelphia. If anyone on here is interested in filing class action suit against Westinghouse, it appears that we will be required to start the process ourselves. It seems that anyone who purchased the SK-32H240S model of HDTV in the spring of 2008 is experiencing this problem around the exact same time. In April 2008, we purchased a Westinghouse 32" LCD TV (SK-32H240S) from Wal-Mart for $550. This week the screen went black after being powered on allowing only the sound to function. Although the remote allows the channels to be changed (confirmed by sound), nothing can be seen on the TV itself, no menu screens, channel numbers, or anything else. Interestingly, the "W" logo and normal picture flashes on for about 2 seconds after the TV is powered on, then goes black. We cannot get through to Westinghouse customer service and decided to utilize the extra two year warranty we purchased through Wal-Mart with the TV. Within a month or so, the screen began turning red after 30 minutes to an hour of operation. I soon tracked the problem down to being an overheating issue. I placed a 12-inch box fan behind the unit, which has solved the issue, for the most part.
I still have a problem if the room temperature exceeds 80 degrees, which seems a bit over-sensitive, IMHO. That's not the only defect with my set. I have a quarter sized lesion of dead pixels in the left hand margin of the screen which is slowly growing in size. It was dime sized when I first noticed it. I suspect this lesion may also be heat related. I don't have HDTV service at present, so it isn't a huge problem just yet, just damned distracting. Thing is, my set has barely one year of service on it since refurbishment. A $10 12V muffin fan attached to the back of a revised set chassis as well as a slightly stronger power supply to feed current to said muffin fan would have prevented these (and I'm sure others to come) issues from ever surfacing. I purchased a 27-in Westinghouse LCD TV from Sam's around 18 months ago. While we were watching, TV goes blank; no picture and no sound, but the blue power light is still on. After an undetermined amount of time, it just came back on. Then again, it happened out of nowhere. I can't believe a company would sell something for $500 and expect the consumer to accept the TV is only going to last for less than two years! I spent our savings on this TV and can't afford to replace it after only a year and a half.

I turned the two and a half year old TV on last night, April 13th 2010. It has sound but no picture and I tried everything I could think of.
My cable company came out today at my request and said it was the TV. We have three other normal TVs and they are fine. I tried to call the 800 number in the manual and got the fast busy signal that indicates the number is not working. I went to the troubleshooting instructions and I could not believe what I read in the section that dealt with sound, no picture. It actually tells one to press the menu button, then go to channel, do something, then scroll to settings, etc. The screen is black! It's hard to see the menu, folks. I tried the 800 number again today and got the same response.
Obviously, I am not alone. It seems to be a common complaint. I emailed them today but from most of the complaints I just read, I'm not too optimistic about hearing from Westinghouse.
I haven't suffered economic damage yet but I will either have to face a repair bill if it doesn't cost too much or do without a TV, as we cannot afford to replace it. It was a gift from our son.

I purchased a 17-inch TV in 2008, and it just died and is not working anymore. This is crazy, I have TVs that I have had for well over ten years and they are still working. I paid over three hundred dollars and and have to purchase another TV, or just watch the walls. Interesting.

Two years ago, my wife and I made our first major purchase. We purchased a 32-inch Westinghouse TV 1080 LCD. We paid 560 dollars, our entire savings.
Now, it has no picture and has only sound. I went online to get help and came across complaints from others about the same problems. Come on Westinghouse, are you kidding? They should stand by their customers and do the right thing. All of us have had TVs that last well over 15 years. Why are they still selling Westinghouse TVs everywhere? Does anyone care and can anyone please help us?
Since the TV is not working and our investment money is gone, we have had a breakdown in our family many times. We have since moved on but still, we have no TV and it will take another year or two to save enough money to purchase another one. This has caused much physical and financial stress.

I bought a Westinghouse TV 32 in and it no longer works. I only had it for a year and the picture doesn't work. I tried to contact Westinghouse but I just get the the runaround so I'm going to take other approach to this. I'm talking to a lawyer to see if something can be done. If more people come forward, we might have a big case. We should at least have are money back for them.

Our Westinghouse SK26H590D TV which we purchased less than 2 years ago is not working. The unit powers on, the picture shows for a second and then the screen goes black; however, the sound continues to play. We contacted Westinghouse and they pretty much have told us, it will be cheaper to buy a new TV than fix the unit that we have and we have been told to take it to a repair shop or ship it back to them and they will evaluate the TV and tell us what it will require for the repairs. We are out of pocket now over $300 for a TV that we have owned for less than 2 years

I had issues with the TV after only 13 months. I called Westinghouse a few times trying to get help, but it took 7 or 8 calls over a long period of time. In the end, they took care of me and I have a new Westinghouse TV care of the service department. Be patient and explain the issues to them They have changed management since the issue that were going on more than six months ago, and things are shaping up. Also, the people I spoke with were all very nice even though I was always mad! They came through in the end, and I think they will catch up with the issues soon, and it will be a much better repair service in the future due to the new management.

My wife told me the TV kept going off and then turning itself on. The built-in DVD quit working also. It finally did it while I was there. While checking it out, I noticed a square green button in the audio out section on the side of the TV. When I pressed it, a red light came on inside the button and we haven't had any problems with the picture for a week now, but it didn't fix the DVD problem. Hopefully, if it happens again, this will fix it next time. Take a look, maybe this will fix your problems, too.

My 22" LCD Monitor Model 2210LW went bad after only 10 months. I followed the very complicated process to send it back at my expense to the Westinghouse Service Center for repair or replacement. After several weeks, I finally get back a monitor that is not only not the one I sent in (verified by checking serial number), but it is not working and has so many scratches on the screen that even if it did, I would not want to use it. I sent them a monitor that I took excellent care of for the very short time we had it, and this is what I get back. I am out the shipping and insurance, the cost ($239+tax) of the monitor and now I will need to pay to have it recycled. I feel that Westinghouse owes me a working LCD monitor in the same shape in which it was sent.

Don't buy a Westinghouse TV, ever. I bought one from Best Buy in 2008 and it has recently started cutting itself off for no reason. When I try to turn it back on it takes about a minute or several attempts before it comes back on. Since it's out of warranty, it's not worth fixing because guess what, you can't get parts for it. Westinghouse is a piece of **.
