E-Series Smart TV HDTV LED TV purchased less than a year ago suddenly, inexplicably stopped working. I spent more money than the TV was worth having multiple experts troubleshoot the TV. The unanimous decision was that it was a faulty TV. Everything else as working just fine, but the TV would not even power on manually. It was a piece of junk, a lemon.

I contacted Vizio who wanted pictures, proof of purchase, etc which I sent immediately. They refused to help me. Just kept asking for more information, when they had all the proof they needed and should have apologized and replaced the TV, which was all I was asking, and they refused. Will never purchase or recommend another Vizio product - ever again. Such jerks! Do they really expect us to buy a new TV every year. My last TV lasted 10 years! Is this what TVs have come to (cheap quality, expensive price that only last a year or less). Really? If so, I guess I will forgo a TV altogether and stream everything. I refuse to purchase a TV once a year!

Purchased a Vizio 50 inch 4k UHD tv in January of this year 2017. On October 13th my wife and I were watching tv and out of the blue we notice a thin black stripe on the tv from top to bottom. So I think it's ok, still under warranty. So I contact Vizio customer service and they ask me to take a pic and send it to them, so I did. Next day Vizio writes to inform me that I had broken the tv and that the warranty is void. Really at a loss for words, never again will I purchase a Vizio product.

I purchased a Vizio 60 inch for $748 and less than 2 years there is a black shadow in the left hand top corner. I called Vizio and they said it was economically irreparable that the light went out. I purchased this type of TV and the not the other type for that reason that the bulb/light would not fail within a few years. It is mounted on the wall and hardly used. Vizio offered only $148 discount off another Vizio same size. Why would I purchase another one? I have other Vizios as well and had to call about one of them because I had trouble turning it off/on. I will never purchase another Vizio product.

I usually don't give reviews but I also never had such a problem with a product. Purchased this 70 inch TV model E701i-A3E for around $1500. It hangs on the wall rarely ever touched except for occasional dusting. It lasted less than 4 years, just stopped showing a picture but projects sound perfectly. Contacted Vizio, “Sorry you’re not under warranty.” Contacted Walmart about the extended warranty we purchased, “Sorry but it ran concurrent with the manufacturer’s warranty.” In what world do we live in that a $1,500 television last less than 4 years? I may even understand if there was a lot of wear and tear. I have a 42 inch Panasonic TV that is my main TV and it’s been working for 10 years without any issues. Vizio wouldn't even refer me to a repair person stating it would be cheaper just to buy another television. Well it sure won't be a Vizio!!!

I wish I could give this 0 stars. I purchased a 60 inch Vizio television less than 2 years ago and the entire left side began to go black. The picture was horrid and you can only see half the TV. I called Vizio and their customer service was atrocious. They claim that with any product there is a risk of malfunction and since I was outside of the 1-year warranty there is nothing they can do. According to Vizio it is more expensive to fix than it is to purchase a new TV. So we are out of luck with their product that barely lasted 2 years and they could care less. Never again will I purchase a Vizio product.

I went to Sam's Club and paid $3,500 for a 70" Vizio Television. Had it for about 2 years and the screen went black. I heard Vizio had some recalls on their televisions, so I called and ask if they could help. They told me the best they could do is recommend a repair service in my area and I could pay for it myself. They wouldn't stand behind their product at all but they kept telling me how important their customer satisfaction was to them. I imagine it's only a power board and could be fixed pretty easily. I don't even want it in my house. I am going to buy a Sony and should have bought one in the first place. Live and learn. My 70" will be out by the curb if anyone wants to pick it up and have it fixed. It will probably work for at least a year.

I purchased a brand new Vizio TV about 2 years ago. Today I had no picture so I called, even though the customer service was friendly, they did barely anything to fix the situation. I was offered a discount on a new TV for which I found a better model in the same price. When confronted about this, they told me the price was fair and that's all they could do for a TV that didn't even last 2 full years! I'm extremely unsatisfied with this product and experience. They lost a customer for life and I highly suggest you spend the extra 20 bucks on a different brand because I guarantee it will last longer.

I bought a 55-inch Smart Vizio TV. Took it home and set it up. BAMMM I got TV with no Roku. Yay!!! That was day one. Woke up next day to watch the news and heard this rice crispies sound. You know snap crackle and pop. Then a loud pop and it stopped. So I was watching the news and it made a loud popping noise again. This time no TV. I had a warranty. Called and they came out and fixed it. Cool. I have TV again. Then noticed that the WiFi portion of the TV kept dropping the signal. I thought wtf.

So I called again and this time was told there was nothing they can do for that. And to check my internet router. So I bought a new router. The best one I could find. And still this P.O.S. dropped signal. My laptop sure did not drop signal. Just this raggedy ** P.O.S. TV did. So I put it on Craigslist and sold it with the warranty. I never have looked back. Got an LG and no problems with the last 3 years. Of course it's not a Smart TV either. Don't trust them. I will NOT buy another Vizio as long as I live. You get what you pay for.

We purchased the VIZIO 65" on December 3, 2015, for my retirement. My husband worked at Super Walmart as a merchandise stocker. He was given the opportunity to work THANKSGIVING DAY for Walmart and receive a percentage off gift certificate for anything in the store. We decided that a new VIZIO television was what we wanted. We purchased the TV and considered it a wonderful and worthwhile purchase especially since I was retiring. We expected that this TV would last well into our retirement. On September 15, 2017, while the TV was on it suddenly, without warning completely shut off and went completely dead and does not power up at all. There was no noise, pop, or tap.

We contacted VIZIO regarding this incident and have been told by the technical support team that this is a common problem with VIZIO TV's and they are well aware of it. They suggested a couple of useless fixes and then said it was outside their authority to fix. I would never purchase another VIZIO product and would advise anyone looking to purchase one to check the website for product quality and their technical support and follow up. All I have from my experience is a lot of anger and a dead TV.

My low scoring of this company and its electronics are appalling, especially when it comes to the amount of money you pay and the actual picture quality. I’m seeing a lot of consumers having technical issues like I have been and are dumbfounded by this. The picture screen I have when watching a local station, will go black and you CAN hear the sound, but when you change the channel to the next one, then back, it corrects itself.

I have noticed from using cable and/or the inside and outside UHF/VHF Antenna that the picture quality is VERY bad. I even had severe pixelation and at the time was on Comcast, yet the woman I spoken to noticed it, yet I had to EXPLAIN it clearly that when they did the installation, the OUTSIDE, COAX cable line from the HOUSE to the POLE was damaged from a previous severe storm that went through the area a few months ago, yet they NEVER replaced it and I told the customer service rep. this and asked WHY it wasn't replaced in the first place when I’m paying $200.00 per month on internet and cable tv service.

They finally came out and replaced the line after getting on them for the past 8 months. It’s part of THE installation process and ALWAYS make sure it DOES get done. Also, you must for future reference, check those coax cables that are IN house, because, if the line coming into your home isn't new, there is one possible problem.

Make sure there are noise filters on each line coming in, because if they use coax splitters, which they do, it’s best to put a noise filter away from the TV, best from the pole to the house, meaning they put an outside box to store out of the way, your cables, BUT if it’s close to a POWER meter, it CAN affect your signal coming in, especially if you have Smart meters on your house hold electrical service. They CAN affect your signal from electromagnetic pulse waves. If you CAN hear your transformer on the outside pole, hum, they its generating a magnetic force field. If you have any of these issues in which I have, except the Smart meters, get top quality SHIELDED coax cables and run them ALL through the house, up to the splitter. Keep all cables away from electrical wires.

I still to this day haven't gotten my TV fixed from tech support, yet it’s been an ongoing issue. I once had an LG 32" TV and I did like the fact IT had a HEAD PHONE jack. Excellent for putting on those head phones and turning up the volume without having to disturb others, in WHICH this VIZIO DOESN'T have, yet the 32" and smaller TV's do, WHY NOT? I had to revert back to the antenna and the UHF/ VHF and thought clear TV would be great, NOT so, unless you have a lot of coax cable and time to move around the house like with the rabbit ears to find a good signal, it’s best to get one that IS outside. Do your research on the TV's you buy, because its might look great, but if the SALES person can't answer your tech questions, you best do a 180 degree turn out the door, or find someone who DOES know about the products. In the future, I won't be buying this product again.

We have good sound and picture on most local news and commercials. The problem is mostly network tv shows. The sound is muted like they all have speech impediment! This past week, I thought I would watch it while cleaning and could not get it to turn on. Went through all of the troubleshooting options I found after exploring online. Alarmed, while exploring, that this is a common problem. I immediately contacted Justin from Vizio's escalation department after getting no satisfaction from chatting online with the manufacturer's customer service person. Justin stood firm to their 1 year warranty and refused to make an exchange or help unless I put out more money. When I asked Justin if I could speak with someone with more authority, he said that he was the end of that line. I will never buy another Vizio product again. Their commitment to their customer is one-sided which simply means that they are happy to take your money and that is it.

For the past week or so the image just suddenly stops appearing and the screen goes black but the tv is still on and the sound is still working. If I turn it off and back on, nothing happens, it turns off and then a black screen every time I turn it back on. Then it works again the next day, but screen goes black after a couple hours of watching. Same cycle a few times now and each time the amount of time the screen works is less and less. I am giving up and purchasing a Samsung. I was never a huge fan of Vizio anyway. It is not very user friendly in my opinion. But seriously, a TV that stopped working after only TWO YEARS?!! To start I'd like to say that I realize the Vizio brand is priced low for a reason. I do not expect my ownership experience to be the same as if I had purchased a high-end brand television. I do however expect to get more than 2 years of use from a $700 television set of ANY brand name. We bought a 60 inch Vizio in June of 2015. It's now July of 2017 and 3 of the 12 LED strips have failed on it. After researching this issue I have discovered that this is a common problem on Vizio televisions. This led me to take a closer look at my family's entire Vizio television collection.

We have purchased 6 Vizio televisions at various points in time over the last 10 years. After inspection, it was clear that the newer the set is, the more issues it had. Interestingly enough, 2 of the sets are over 7 years old now and have no, zero, none, nada problems. One of those sets is on it's 3rd remote now and is by far the most used television in our home. It used to be we could buy a Vizio and know that you got a good (not great) product for a good price. That is clearly not the case anymore. So for us, the Vizio brand name goes into the cheap brand pile and We'll never even consider buying another.

I would not say I laughed, maybe chuckled when I read some of the comments because they were pretty much identical to my experience. I bought a 65" Vizio TV and after 11 months it stopped turning on. Ok, that's fine, it's under warranty. I called, went through the fun that is power cycling and a few other steps that did nothing to remedy the problem. The representative said they would be sending someone out to "fix" the TV. I was a little surprised, I was expecting to be told to go back to where I bought it to swap it out. I was told no, that is not how their warranty works.

So, they send someone out a week or so later, mind you the TV is not working, and that person says they have completed the repair. Two days later after the "fix" the TV will not turn on and after power cycling it a few times it actually does turn on but now there are a bunch of squiggly lines, approximately a foot high in the middle of the screen that go from one side to the other. I again contacted customer service and again go through the power cycle and a few other things fun. Nope, not helping, and I noticed while doing this the person that repaired the TV damaged the outer casing trying to pry it off. So not only did they not fix it, they caused an additional problem and damaged the TV. Ok, customer service says they will send out a new TV, should arrive in 7-10 business day. Once again it is not an option to bring it back to where it was purchased to swap out for a new one.

So I receive an email that the new TV order has been processed and will arrive in 7-10 days. We get to day 7 and no updated tracking, nothing. Contact customer service, am told "that's odd, let's find out what happened. Not sure what happened but it should still arrive within the 7-10 days." In cutting this story short it arrived on business day 14, or in normal people terms, three weeks later. Customer service said there was a communication problem and they would correct that going forward.

Oh, I also found out that the "new" TV I received was actually a "re-certified" TV, meaning someone had returned it for whatever reason. Ok, they lied about that, but rest assured, it had under gone a rigorous 21 point inspection. Jump ahead two weeks. Turn the TV on and there are white lines across the middle of the TV, about a foot tall, going from one side to the other and the remote has stopped working. Contact customer service... again. Power cycle nonsense... again. Not doing anything... again. "Ok, we will send out yet another TV, which you will receive in 7-10 business days. This time we promise it will be a new TV, not re-certified." So here we are, business day 5 and the TV hasn't even been picked up by the freight company, which makes me think I am probably not going to receive my third TV within the 7-10 business days... again.

The only reason I have not just went out and bought a new TV is because this is a warranty issue that needs to be made right. Now they are shipping out a third TV, again cost of shipping and TV. This third TV may or may not work, my guess is the latter. It also made me think this company is not run very well. Think about the costs involved - they sent out someone, at their cost, to repair the original TV. That didn't work and actually made things worse. They expedited shipping on the second TV because they cannot communicate with a shipper, so that is shipping cost plus the cost of a TV. I would guess that they have spent over $2,000 on this warranty issue.

Now compare that to just having me to back to the store where I bought it. I run to the store (no shipping cost) and get a TV that will probably last more than two weeks. I would recommend spending a little bit more for a Samsung or a Sony, it will save you a lot of headaches. I made the mistake of wanting to save a little bit of money and now I am paying for it.

Contact Vizio and they send a "reconditioned" unit to me, after me telling him I wanted a new tv. Assistant assured me it was like new. 10 days later it arrives scratched on the one side. Plug it in Vizio comes up on the screen and everything goes dead. Tried doing restart to NO avail. Call and ask to speak to supervisor who tells me now they will send me new TV but it will take another 10 days. After reading all these terrible reviews surely there must be some legal action one can take to stop them selling these tv's!!! I just want my money back.

VIZIO so-called customer support was slow to respond, determined that the TV was unrepairable, and after much prodding offered me a whopping $50 discount on another VIZIO TV, since mine was 10 months out of warranty. On reflection they characterized that as "final and fair" and so all I can tell you is do not under any circumstances buy a VIZIO TV -- their products are faulty, they do not stand behind their products and they are rude and insensitive to consumer needs.

Has required no adjustment, and the picture has been great with Cox Cable, as well as Fire Box and others. Great color and clarity. The only negative feature is that it projects the sound back behind it. We added a sound bar that corrected the problem of it "booming" into a bedroom on the other side of the wall while being relatively subdued in the den where it is watched; and that was an additional $150 solution, made by another company. If the sound projected to the front of the unit instead of behind it, it would be perfect.

To have expectations beyond what they deliver is not fair or realistic-- for the top of the line features, you would have to enter the next price bracket. And I have purchased 5 Vizio TVs and three sound bars. No regrets. They all still operate like new, even at 5 years old. They are TVs-- they change every few months. I know there are 'newer' and enhanced features in the market-- always are. I have since moved home and we already have a TV connected directly to the router in our living room. I thought I would connect mine via Wi-Fi in my bedroom. It can't find any networks. After calling customer support and having them walk me through a few steps, he told me I had a bad WIFI card. He also said I was out of warranty. This was frustrating since I didn't really get to use it yet. What a waste of a TV. He told me he could send someone out to fix it at my expense. I explained that it wouldn't be cost effective since you can almost purchase a new one nowadays at a reasonable price.

I told him I wasn't happy and bit frustrated about the situation... but instead of understanding, he decided to argue with me. Scolding me and telling me that I should've called earlier. Well duh, I would've if I had known it wasn't going to work, since it was connected straight to the router, how was I to know. He argued that he wasn't arguing. It was crazy. I may not like the answer he gave me and expressed my dissatisfaction with the product but that was it. So this is my brand new refurbished TV that took three weeks to get to my home. Then I've been without any TV unable to access my baseball package, also unable to stream $200 worth of concerts that I just paid for until this morning when this one arrived. Within two hours of receiving this refurbished replacement television this is what my screen looks like now. We have contacted customer service at Vizio and even went above the first gentleman we were talking to. They have left us with not many options and waiting another 7 to 10 business days and then another two weeks to have the TV delivered as the delivery company takes two weeks as well. When people do this to people they should be compensated immediately. They should call the local Best Buy that is two blocks from my home and buy me a new television that I can install right now.

They are refusing to do any of this. I am out several hundred dollars in things that I have paid for to watch as well as my time and aggravation that I have had to put up with all of this. Like I said no one at Vizio is willing to help us in a timely manner. This is ridiculous and I am going to post this everywhere I can about Vizio. The customer service is not about their customers and it's unfortunate that I have purchased four of their televisions starting in 2008. They all still work but they are mounted to walls and other locations in my home including my guest home so I cannot watch TV unless I'm laying in my bed or I'm out in my guest house that is 120 degrees because it is basically summer here in Phoenix and the reason for not taking care of my problem is because of their "policies".

Needless to say at this point I will never buy another Vizio product and when these units are refurbished. They are supposedly better than a brand new TV because they have been gone through a thorough check by one person rather than going down the assembly line. Apparently it was a Friday when the person that inspected this one did such. We know that a company has largest. Vizio could easily call my local Best Buy and buy me a brand new television right now but they refused to do that. They want me to suffer for another three weeks to give me another piece of junk TV that has been refurbished. I am astonished by their lack of care towards their customers especially a 4 time customer. I'm sure they will remove this post but I hope someone sees it and it stops them from buying their products... Miserably hot in Phoenix with no baseball, no TV, no concerts that I paid $200 for and no solutions for these issues. Way to go Vizio!!!

14 month after I purchased my Vizio E-60 C3 from Best Buy, I started getting dark streaks on the screen. When I called customer service they put me through the reset dance. When that didn't work, they said TV was past 12-month warranty and was cheaper to buy a new one than fix. After going round with CS rep she put a supervisor on. He told me the same thing, He asked if I bought an extended warranty from Best Buy, after I expressed my disbelief in their lack of customer service, he offered me a discount on a new TV. Why would I want to spend another $800 for a TV only to have it last a year? How this can continue after so many complaints is unbelievable. Do not waste your money on a company that does not stand behind their product and then has the audacity to try and sell you a new one.

Now we have to use the HDMI connector and more channels to use high definition connection. Thank you for reading.

Called them and they offered me $200 off the same tv. Funny part is it turns out to be the same price I paid for the broken tv. Asked why they do not stand behind their product and after fumbling around with several BS answers they just said "our offer is fair and final". Fair? Really? I buy your product. Said product does not work after a short time. Their answer is buy a new one. Great customer service and way to promote your product. I purchased a 43 inch Vizio HDTV from Walmart in February 2017. In June, I placed the TV on my bed, moved my dresser, and placed the TV back on the dresser. I disconnected the Firestick from the HDMI port and turned the TV on. The screen is cracked centered at the site of the HDMI port. I call the customer service line to file a claim since it is under warranty. I am told to send pictures to an email and a response would be received within 24 hours. 2 days later, I call back only to be told nothing has been reviewed yet. I was placed on hold and then told I just needed to purchase a new TV directly through them for a discounted rate. They do not repair screens. When asked why I was not told that from the beginning, I was told I did not tell them the screen was cracked. My response was what was the original call for then. They said there was something wrong with picture. At this point, I was furious and did not want to argue any further.

I call back, of course speaking with someone different and in a complete different state, and was given the option to call an outside company for an estimate to repair the screen. Completely different information was given. I will never buy another Vizio simply because the product is not worth anything. I have wasted well over $200 and nothing can be done with the TV. They also try to get you to purchase another one of their cheap, certain to have some issue TV instead of standing behind their warranty.

After their ridiculous "reset power fix" failed, Vizio said there was nothing they could do, I was on my own, it was out of warranty. Something should be done about Vizio selling faulty products. l can't believe I spent my money on this television for it to work for only a year. Vizio refuses to solve customer concerns. Four months ago, I contacted the company because I was unable to connect to Netflix on this Smart TV. Vizio blamed Netflix and Netflix blamed Vizio. Still no connection between what our supposed to be partners after hours spent on trying to diagnose the problem. Vizio reps say that the model that I own frequently lands this complaint. The model number is E43C2. In addition to the money that I spent on the TV less than two years ago, I continue to pay a monthly fee to Netflix. This is very substandard service. No one seems to care that customers are being ripped off. Who is responsible for making sure that what customers pay for is actually delivered? Apparently no one.

I recently wrote to Vizio again to express that my TV is a lemon. Unfortunately, there are no lemon laws as with cars whose dealers have to show up at the plate and take responsibility when their product is ill designed and poorly functioning. No attempt to make it right, no customer service, no interest. I don't want anyone else to suffer this frustration, but I hope it occurs enough for people to speak up and put Vizio and their rotten products out of business. That won't happen. But at least I will have warned others not to buy anything from this awful company. I didn't keep a receipt. That is another lesson learned. But I have to wonder if it would have made a difference. This company is not required internally or externally to make things right. In my profession, I would have been fired for the same kind of behavior.

Working on third replacement Vizio TV. Latest one arrived about 5 months ago. Opened the box, plugged in DirecTV, plugged into AC and we're off to the races. Live in rural Colorado, nothing other than DSL line so I had no occasion to try the Netflix, etc. apps. Trying to use apps, discovered this thing requires an Android-type device to make it go. I can't use it as-is since I need something with the needed stuff already on board, not run by a phone. I still use my flip-phone from several years back since all I need is a phone, not a pocket-entertainer-gaming device. Seems now I have to get a new phone ($200 or so) to get this Vizio piece of junk to work. Got a friend who has fiber to download their app on an Android. Tells me I've lost internet connection, lists other problems, then shuts off. Found tons of app complaints on Google Play, all describing the same and other problems. Bottom line, if all WERE okay, the app is still useless.

Called Vizio, got someone in South Dakota who said they don't service this type of problem, that I had to go to the vendor to work out a solution. Since this model E32 was provided by them I thought they would try to help. Bought the first in this series from Costco, the second one was provided by warranty folks, and this useless one came to me from Best Buy in Kentucky. Thank God I saved the box which contained this info. Vizio absolutely refused to do anything. Got the same balloon-filler from a Vizio "supervisor" who basically said once they sell the damn things, it immediately becomes someone else's problem if there are issues. They probably have their responses printed on cafeteria trays and all have the same excuses and dust-offs in front on them.

Three calls to Best Buy service centers and I'm now promised a full store-credit when I take it in. It is an outright deceptive practice to send out what amounts to a stand-alone monitor to replace a "Smart" TV. Even worse is the fact their hot-spot app does NOT work and is still being re-tested to figure out how many things Vizio got wrong with this obviously committee conceived melange of useless parts. Cursory checks reveal this particular failure-piece-of-** is not even on the market anymore. Add this to a DVD player with a constant loud audio buzz and I will never buy or recommend any Vizio products to even my worst enemy. They should liquidate and put all their inventory in a toxic landfill.

About a month ago the screen, while watching TV, would turn into a two-toned pixel filled psychedelic image that would render the remote control specifically for this TV, useless. I contacted Vizio through their website and received an email with very clear, easy-to-understand directions to resolve the matter. It worked! The TV didn't pixelate, various emails went back and forth with praise and thanks and then I received an email from Vizio with a case no. Then I received another email with the same case no. and then I received another email with the same case no. Then two weeks later the TV pixelated, for lack of a better word, again and continues to pixelate.

I contacted Vizio through email with my case no. and two weeks later and very clear training tactics taught to their customer service representatives; I've had four of them, their training is this: gather as much information from the consumer and give them nothing. The TV is still pixelating, with the solution, in their opinion: The cable company is making the TV act up - you need to contact them. I'm not an idiot. This product is under warranty. The warranty needs to be honored - simple. I will not buy another Vizio product - ever.

First off I am on my 3rd replacement TV from Vizio. Of course again I have another issue with my TV. But this time they are doing everything possible to not give me another replacement. So my first TV I got a refurbished TV that had a ton of dead pixels that showed up randomly and half of the back light would just turn off randomly. Then my brand new replacement TV got stuck into a mirrored state where the bottom half of my screen turned into mirror of the top of the screen... So now with the third one I got. A week after I got it I noticed that I have 4 dead pixels that were not there to begin with. The bad part is they are small so it is really hard to get them to show up on camera. They are definitely there you can easily see them in person. I have also been having issues where my screen takes upwards of a minute to turn on. It also restarts and power down randomly.

So I called Vizio and told them about the issues I have been having. Which I am already beyond frustrated this is my third TV and yet again I am having problems with it. So I get a nice lady to start out with and I tell her about all the issues I have been having. She tells me to send her pictures of the dead pixels so I do. I get an email a few minutes later saying they got my pictures so I called back. Here is were it all goes bad the lady pulls up my case and the first thing this lady says to me is "Oh so I see the pictures and looks like you only have one dead pixel". I said "No, I have 4 that I can see and in the pictures I sent you can clearly see that I do yet your claiming that I only have 1".

She then argues with me for over 10 minutes trying to say I am wrong and only have one when I clearly have 4. She then goes on about how she isn't avoiding giving me a replacement which is a complete lie. But even if I could prove by picture that I have 4 dead pixels. Vizio has a terrible policy that their customers should have to be stuck with the faulty TV if they do not have 5 or more dead pixels. In what way does that make sense that I should have to have a faulty TV because it does not meet their standard to be replaced? So after talking to this rude lady that obviously does not know a thing about TVs she cant do a thing about it since my TV only has 4 dead pixels or at least what she said.

So I move onto the next issue which are the power issues I have been having. I have owned many many TVs and never had this issue with the power or dead pixels. If I ever did have a dead pixel problem my TV was replaced no questions asked. So the power issue is my TV takes upwards of 30 seconds to turn on a lot of the time and sometimes 60 seconds. Also my TV power cycles randomly which is causing me a lot of issues since I use this for my computer monitor. So I told this same lady about my issues and the first thing that comes out of this ladies mouth is "That is normal". I cannot believe what I am hearing it is obvious that this TV has a power issues and this lady is doing everything she can to make it seem like it is a normal issue with their TVs.

I have had quite a few Vizio's and never once had this issue with my TV... So guess what? I am stuck with this TV when it is obvious there are issues with dead pixels and powering issues. Vizio does not care about their customers they do anything they can to avoid replacing your TV when you pay hundreds of dollars for them. I use to be a huge fan of Vizio's but I will never own another Vizio for the rest of my life because of how terrible their customer service is. They have 0 customer service. They will do everything possible to make you stuck with your faulty TV. So you better hope if you decide to get a Vizio you have no issues that they see as a minor one because your gonna be stuck with the TV. I don't recommend Vizio to anyone. Their TVs are good yet they leave you high and dry if you have any issues with them. Get a Samsung that is what I am gonna do from now on.

Later after Vizio replaced all three circuit cards and again the update followed 3 days later the same thing happened. I later found out it was due to the DATA On/off function was turned off and the only way I could get the tv to turn on properly was to keep the data ON to satisfy the function under system info. The Data on is used for their 3rd party marketing to find out what customers are watching.

After a extensive conversation with a number of people in upper escalation at VIZIO I got a idiot named Jessie ** that would not give me his supervisor's name and I recorded every bit of the conversations over a 3 week period to give to Sam's Club and Walmart executives to show the illegal practices of Vizio not standing behind the warranty. They can't fix the problem and now takes the position that the receipt isn't valid and wants my 9 digit Sam's membership number to verify the receipt. They stated they were going to put me on conference calling but had the store on their other line and was acting as me to get the store to access my account. OMG the illegal practice of this idiot Jessie ** in South Dakota.

Then instead of a conference calling between Sam's Club and me, Jessie ** claimed he was going to do, Jessie ** instead posed as me with Sam's Club on hold on another line and asked for my membership number which I refused to give him unless I was directly in connect with Sam's Club myself. Jessie ** then started to do some fancy dancing on his explanation and stated he cannot verify the purchase date even though he had a copy of the receipt and after sending out a repairman to change out all 3 circuit cards a week before.

Including the mixed up on the technician notes from the repair which stated some other order and stated the tv was working properly and they had a picture of the working tv and serial numbers and the 3rd party had the old circuit cards with the burned in serial number, but the notes said they never repaired the TV. I had my interior cameras running the whole time of the repair that the technician was unaware of.

OMG what a JOKE now I am dumping this piece of Crap on Sam's doorstep if they don't stand behind the warranty. The only thing they know how to do is keep apologizing and saying they understand but yet if they really understand they would try harder to fix the customer problem instead of saying they can't. What is the point of having a manufacturer's warranty on something if they don't do nothing about the program. What is the point of buying a warranty for your expensive products if you can't get them fixed. This company don't want to do anything for their customers and this will be the last time I purchase a Vizio product or recommend a Vizio product to anyone ever again. I'll stick with LG from here on out.

I purchased a Vizio 55 inch flat screen TV from Walmart and when I pulled it out the box the tv was already damaged. I told them that one of their floor associates got this tv from the back and was dragging it across the floor and seemed a little rough with the tv. I never got a chance to put it on my TV stand or cut it on. I took it back to Walmart who would not refund me my money nor exchange it because they claim that the back has been taken off of it. They did not care about how the tv was sold to me. Told me that I had to call Vizio. I took the tv back home and called Vizio only to hear that they too cannot take it back and that I had to take this up with Walmart.

All this running around and back and forth and still out of money and a damaged tv that I can't watch that is just sitting there looking at me in my house. Don't buy a tv from Walmart because they won't help you and don't buy the warranty because it does no go. Don't Vizio products because this is my second tv from them and both was damaged before the factory warranty was up and yet they did nothing nor did they take by their product. What a Bummer. My TV was just over a year old, and then the black screen of death hit. After multiple emails and severals phone calls, they offered us the same TV for $20 MORE than we purchased it for. They called it a discounted offer after refusing to accept any responsibility for the problem. I too had the issue checked out by multiple 3rd parties. All responded with the same speech. "It is a known issue with Vizio televisions". Lesson learned: Stay away, far far away from Vizio products.

Every time I go into a retail store that sells TVs, I make it my mission to talk a stranger out of buying their junk products. The exact same size TV that I paid $60 less for was a Wal-Mart Sceptre brand. I purchased that one a year before the Vizio, and it is still working perfectly. So I overpaid for an inferior product. Very disappointed and hoping to see a class action soon!

They called to advise me they'd shipped a part to my home address on Tue. Why my house and not the local technician? More on that later. Anyway, I was to call them once I received the part, whereupon they would IMMEDIATELY contact the local tech, who in turn would call me and set up an appointment. They called twice the next day, Wed, asking for my address (?), which of course they already had because they'd shipped it already. And they asked me to call. This time I got someone in Illinois rather than South Dakota. They told me the information was not correct, and it would be shipped to the local tech. That makes so much more sense. More on that later.

I called on Fri and notified them I had the part, but why my home address? That's how it's done, I was told. Later that day I had more emails from them, saying it would take 7-10 days before I heard from anyone. Wtf? I called back and asked why a two minute call would take 7-10 days. They would investigate. Heard nothing on Sat, so I called and emailed Mon. They said it would take 7-10 days because I lived in Canada. Hmm, no phone circuits from the service desk to Canada I surmise, so the two minute phone call has been replaced by Pony Express? Wtf.

On Tue I received another 7-10 days email, so I emailed back and phoned again. They said they'd get right on it. Wed I received another email saying it would take 7-10 days because I was in Canada. I couldn't take it. I emailed, pleading to move this up the chain to management, and never again send that stupid 7-10 day email with a signing off of 'have a great day!' I then stated the obvious, they had no local tech even though there are millions of people in my area. That has to be reason for this inordinate delay so 'fess up. I mean, really, not one contracted shop amongst a population of millions of people? Why don't they say so!

Thursday I get a call from the local tech. We said up a time to install the part tomorrow. Fri. Give me a hallelujah! The tech showed up on the correct day at the appointed hour with the tools needed to replace the parts (not part, but parts inside the box). I had to ask him and, sure enough, he agreed to sign on as a Visio tech TWO DAYS AGO. That's why they shipped the part to my house the week before, there was no local tech to send it to, so why the hell didn't they just say that the week before?! So, there is nothing out there for customer service but staff reading from scripts. Their ability to listen and react is non-existent, or they have been gagged and prevented from showing any initiative.

That's my story. No TV for nearly two weeks, with the second week being total frustration and aggravation, needlessly. The hell with in-house service. The day it broke I could have taken it down the street and had it fixed. The in-house service is from in-hell and as usual when this happens you have to wonder who's steering the ship. Not one email or call from a supervisor saying 'oops, we goofed, sorry'.

P.S. You will never guess what came into my Inbox today: "Thank you for your recent inquiry with VIZIO. I would be more than happy to help you. Here at VIZIO we do offer best in class technical support. I do apologize for the time frame, Unfortunately with you being in Canada, it does take a bit longer. We are looking at a time frame of 7-10 business day. I checked and we set this up on the 29th of March. Please be patient we are working very hard to get to your service call. Have a great day. Thank you for choosing VIZIO!" Unfreakin' believable. And it was Tue, not Wed, me bucko. Goodbye Visio.

If you get anything out of this experience of mine I would just tell you to stay away from Vizio. I purchased the M55-D0 on February 17, 2017, and I received the TV on February 22, 2017. For the first 5 days the TV was perfect everything ran smooth games looked amazing on it, however on the 6th day it all changed. I was playing a game and the screen started having a bars look to it and then a checkerboard look and then the screen just went black. It did this multiple times I tried to reset it and it happened during the reset. I chatted with Vizio at first and that went awful they didn't understand the problem, I then called and talked to them and they asked me to send them pictures of what was going on. I sent the pictures that night February 28, 2017, I ended up sending the pictures 4 times before they finally sent me anything back saying they received the pictures.

It was the next day when they sent me the confirmation that they were sending me a new TV March 3, 2017. Now I thought that this wouldn't be a long process their TV from their own store broke in 6 days so I thought it might take 2-5 days. Well I could not have been more wrong, it took 13 DAYS for the replacement to be delivered, and you know what!!! The screen on the new one was damaged!!! Either by poor manufacturing or by the crappy packing job them did, the TV was in its original box that was inside a place brown box that was meant for a 75inch TV and had absolutely no padding. I took a picture. It had a good 2 feet from top to bottom of space to move around and a good 10 inches on the width. HOW DUMB was the person packing that tv? Who would pack a TV in a box with no packaging? I refused the TV like I was supposed to and called Vizio, and what they told me pissed me off even more.

I was told that it would take 7-10 Business days after it was processed for me to get another replacement TV! I told them no and that I want a refund, and after being put on hold for about 5 minutes they said okay and they would get it processing. They then said that they will have to use the same company that brought the broken replacement TV to come pick up the TV and that they would be calling me within 24-48 Hours. I called on March 16th and still nothing on the 22nd.

Another thing they said that once the TV gets picked up and delivered back to their warehouse (God only knows how long that will take) it will be 7-10 business days to get my money back. This is Flipping ridiculous I have been without a working TV for 22 days now and it will easily be over a month since the company that is picking up the TV will never call me back, and it taking them 13 days for them to deliver the broken one, I expect to not have my refund for probably another month.

Update: I called them yesterday and they said that the pickup company will call me and schedule a time to pick up the TV however nobody called me. I called today and was told that it takes them 24-48 hours to call, even though I called on Thursday they said they didn't push it through until Monday. Which by that logic then yesterday would have been 48 hours but they told me to call back tomorrow if I don't receive a call. If I do not receive a call today I am going to call tomorrow and demand a 3 way call which I will schedule a Damn appointment at that time so they cannot tell me that it will just be another 24-48 hours.

If you enjoy being led on by a company and having crappy service that will stress you out to the point of wanting a drink after every time you talk to them then by all means buy Vizio. But if you actually want to not be stressed out and not have crappy service and be led on by a company that claims to have amazing service then do not buy Vizio!

Please know that I am still protected under their manufacturer's warranty because I bought this unit back in October 2016. After so many back-and-forth calls and unnecessary tech support sessions/discussions with VIZIO, I am being told by VIZIO that they would not replace this unit because they are not sure when will they have the same product available. So the only option I have available is that I should send this unit back and get the refund. They will not refund my installation fee of $150.00 that I spent with Geek Squad. If I choose not to take their refund, I will have to contact them periodically to check if they have this product available or not.

I suggested that since they have a case opened up in my name and they have recorded all the details, it should be VIZIO who should make the contact once the product becomes available. They refused this suggestion because it does not work in their favor. Wow, extremely rude and unhelpful representatives, and executives with no care about consumers' difficulties. I own several VIZIO TVs, sound systems, and speakers but after this experience, VIZIO will not see a dime from home or hotels, and I will make sure to go out of my way to not purchase a VIZIO product ever.

A week later another appeared in the middle of screen. Now it will not turn on. We called VIZIO and they walked us through resetting the t.v. but to no avail and they told us the warranty had expired and it would cost more to fix than replace??? It was the backlight and they don't replace those.

I emailed VIZIO several times and worked with someone there who was very apologetic, and has offered about a $100.00 discount on a new television. I purchased a Vizio TV 2 years ago. Model P502ui-B1E. On March 1st, I saw that I had received a firmware update. When I turned it off, left and came back about 15 minutes later, the TV screen would not come on. The power light would come on and start to fade to much dimmer, but no screen or audio. I'm pretty decent with fixing tech issues so I did a couple of TV resets and understood what I was doing which did not work. I called Vizio customer service and explained that I had received a firmware update today. Explained my TV wouldn't come on and I had reset the TV by unplugging it, waiting about 15-20 seconds and plugging back in.

The customer service rep had me try the same thing, asked me to try to plug into a wall outlet instead of the surge protector (which wouldn't matter because the power is the same). I tried it his way. When it didn't work of course, he told me he could give me a few numbers of repairmen to call to fix it at my own cost. I had to hang up the phone. Vizio FORCED a firmware update on my TV and now IT DOESN'T WORK! And now I HAVE TO BE RESPONSIBLE for figuring out what is going on? NO WAY!

Where to start? After buying the Visio E55-D0 (50 something inch) realized that you can't access the menu function on it. 4 buttons on the TV itself, Power, Volume Up, Volume down, Input. The remote has play/pause, and buttons for volume and channel options, closed captions, and Cast option (more on that later), that's it. NO buttons for menu or settings, heaven forbid you want or NEED to go it to the menu options because let's face it, all electronics work as they should 100% of the time, RIGHT??? (that was sarcasm) This should have been the point to return it but I always give the benefit of the doubt, thought, "let's see what it CAN do".

To access the menu YOU NEED to use YOUR phone. Yes, you MUST use your phone to download the Visio Smart Cast app from Google Play, oh, and you NEED to sign up for an account from google if you don't already have one in order to download the Cast app from the site. This is the second problem I have with the product and it's the one that is 90% of the problem. After downloading the app and "pairing" the TV and the phone worked fine for a few weeks but then it would stop working, the app opens and the TV works fine it's just that ALL the buttons on the app are grayed out except for the power button but even if you press it, it won't do anything.

Called customer service and they helped me 'pair' again (as I am new to tech but learning for this reason), the app continued to NOT function, called again and they said that Bluetooth has an issue that keeps dropping the signal so they said 'pair' it using Wi-Fi, so I do but it keeps dropping (the signal) still. This would happen about every week or week and a half. I've had to re-pair this thing about 10 times now every time I kept thinking, 'well, since it's wi-fi the walls and such affect the signal so no big deal'. About the 10th time (now) I realize this is a P.O.S... This time I have an open case with customer service and will try to once and for all fix the issue or try to return or get a refund somehow. I doubt I can return as it's been almost a year.

The thing about this is UNLESS you return a product THE VERY FIRST TIME YOU SEE SO MUCH AS A LIGHT SCRATCH ON THE PRODUCT, you won't know the headache you will go through UNTIL you have already gone through all the functions to see if they work or not, but that takes TIME, and by that time your warranty has expired and you get a "take it to your nearest repair center because we won't help you for poo-poo now that your warranty is expired" from the customer service center. ALL THIS mind you for me 30's something that knows the bare minimum about troubleshooting tech and willing to learn (have my own laptop), but if you're an older person or are not tech inclined or a retiree just wanting to watch a good looking TV in his/her golden years...??? Then forget it!

Oh yeah, when I asked the Vizio Cust Ser worker why they don't have a menu button on the remote she said, "... well, people don't really use the menu button, they just use the basic functions but people rarely need to go into the menu..." WHAT??? Am I one of those rare people that need to use the menu? Is she right that MOST people don't need to access the menu functions? Whatever the case this is a lesson learned, THE VERY, VERY FIRST TIME YOU SEE SOMETHING WRONG WITH A PRODUCT, EVEN IF IT'S COSMETIC, RETURN, RETURN, RETURN THE PRODUCT!!!

Owned for 1 year and 2 months. 1.20 - complained to Rashad in customer service asking for consideration to extend the 1 year warranty since it's just outside its time. Refused and given a local repair company contact. Complained to Better Business Bureau and received a phone call stating Vizio would pay for parts if I paid $135 for labor to local repair company. Wanted money upfront, apprehensively, I agreed to pay and got a phone call 4 business days later after I made another complaint to BBB.

2.2. TV repaired with local company. 2.6 TV still having the same issue. No refund. Complained again to BBB. Vizio offers me a non-remote TV that needs streaming to a smart phone or tablet. Declined offer. Vizio then offers one with a tablet for $600. The answer always seems to be more money. No honor in their product. And soon as my warranty ended my TV started to black out slowly and slowly until one day I had no image. I contacted Vizio headquarters and they say it was the back light of the TV that was damaged and that there was nothing they can do but offer me an insignificant discount. It's unashamed that this company manufactures TV that only has life for 3 years. Don't waste your money like I did buying their products.

They said they do not have any recalls for my model. The TV was 4000.00 and only lasted over 1 years. All of my other TV's over the last 30 years are still working and the newest and most expensive one looks like crap and is unwatchable. I called. They offered me a smaller TV for almost 3000.00. Within a week of this happening and before I could get it repaired, the screen went completely black. Vizio gave me the name of a company that diagnosed the problem, at which time I was told that it would cost as much to repair the problem as to buy a new television. 7 years ago I purchased a 42 inch Toshiba which is in my bedroom and this TV had never had a single problem and works as well as the day I bought it. Two months after using this product, which was on surge protector, I noticed that after a power-cut I would have to wait at least an hour for this television to come on again with power cycling. It continued like that with the shortest of power-cuts. A few weeks ago, there was another power outage and since that the television just stopped coming on. I unplugged for days and did my usual power cycling but unfortunately my attempts proved futile. Now I am about to take this television to a technician to see what can be done. The shipping company told us Vizio could overnight us a new TV. We called Vizio and we're transferred to the "Executive Resolution" committee. What a joke. Instead of Vizio taking accountability the executive resolution staff member, Harley, proceeded to go on a tirade about how dare their shipping company speak on their behalf. Harley then proceeded to talk over me until "I understand in no way would I be getting a TV overnighted or even by this weekend."

Harley proceeded to talk down to me and even SCOLD my husband and I for not doing a better job understanding their process and paperwork required for this type of thing. Then after never hearing back from Harley in almost 24 hours, we were transferred to Jameson, part of the same team. Jameson proceeded to tell us we did not know how to count! That the TV was not actually late because I forgot to count the holidays in my calculation. I asked Jameson to help me count because I didn't understand how he was calculating 5 business days when it's been almost a month. He realized his error when he "counted aloud for me" and proceeded to say "sometimes mistakes happen!!!" That's it! No, "let's get this out to you right away" or apology.

What a joke this customer service is. They clearly cut corners on shipping, customer service and packaging. As of now (20 days later), we are still waiting on our TV, no tracking information is available, our credit card was charged and no sign of a TV. And the best part? Harley and Jameson are part of an "executive team" that reports to "no one else we can talk to." What a joke. Do not buy Vizio products. Unless you want to deal with hours of wait times, terrible customer service (the worst we have seen to date) and a good chance you'll be charged but never see your goods.

There is nothing further to troubleshoot with the unit directly, and in warranty, we'd proceed with service past this point. Outside of our warranty, you may still have coverage with an extended warranty, if purchased. Otherwise, if purchased with a credit card, you may have included extended warranty protection with that card on this purchase. You'd need to check with whichever provider holds that for verification. Alternatively, we can look into options towards a discounted purchase of another unit, if you wish. This to help ease the burden of the cost of purchasing a new TV, if not covered elsewhere. Thanks and have a great day!"

One day I noticed gray areas showing up on the right side which with in a week extended across the whole screen. My wife called VIZIO Customer Service and basically told "It's out-of warranty" (OW) and I would need to seek repairs on my own. I called them back and they would not tell me if the model is repairable and gave me a phone number to their repair Call Center. The Call Center 855-336-5991 who said "We do not repair OW TVs and VIZIO should not have referred you to us". I called VIZIO Customer Service back and they gave me two possible repair centers in my area. I called a local repair shop and they want non-refundable $115 to look at it and probably tell me it's not repairable.

From what I read online these TVs are "disposable" or not economical to repair. I would lose the $115 if not repairable. I called VIZIO back and specifically asked "Is the E60-C3 backlight repairable and what would be a fair charge?" The guy on the other end of the line would not tell me. He said it's "case-by-case". He did say "I do not see that model number on our repairable list for backlights," after I pressed him. I think he is not allowed to say whether their TVs are repairable, so this may have been his way of helping me save the $115. But I'm still out a TV after only 19 months of light use. I told VIZIO they lost another customer. He said, "If there is nothing else, have a great day" and we hung up. I am extremely disappointed with the VIZIO product and backlight issue. Eli asked for several other things, including a POP. I found my receipt, took the requested pictures and sent them in. They told me they would decide and contact me a few business days later. They called me back, only to let me know my TV was out of warranty and they refused to help me further. I asked for the next person up to contact me.

A few days passed and a gentleman named Jesse called. Very, very unprofessional. Started the conversation with "what's up". The call only went downhill from there. He proceeded to tell me I would not speak to anyone else and to just accept the answer he had given me. I told him I would not, because the condition my TV was in deserved replacement. He got very ugly, argued with me like a child, and laughed at me several times. He refused to let me speak with anyone else. And told me it was the end of the road for this issue. I do not accept that, so I am in search of whoever will help me make the next step.

Bought Vizio M43-C1 Nov. 2015 from BJ's. I hardly used the TV and recently starting watching some of the YouTube videos and other Apps based news etc.

The TV gets jammed up and requires restart and jams up every key on the remote. I need to wait for few hours before restart. TV doesn't pick up WiFi signal although router is placed next to the TV. Vizio Customer Service agents are of no help, they will keep you on hold. Finally, I was told that TV is out of warranty by 2 days. They gave contact number of their approved service center, who never picks up the phone. It is total loss of money and time. Never in my life buy any Vizio products even for $1.

2 weeks till product shipped. I recently bought a crave 360 speaker recently and on the website it states that the product during PEAK season would take 72 hours to ship, but two weeks later it still hasn't shipped. They told me my product will be shipped 5 days from now. I don't understand how it can take this long. They should have given me next day shipping for the major inconvenience of their unorganization. Don't buy from the Vizio website. Nothing but a hassle.

WOW... My rant for the day... Spent 10 hours over 2 days on phone with customer service b/c my TV (only 2 years old) was no longer connecting to the internet. Router company tried everything under the sun, backwards, forwards, and sideways, and could not figure it out, so they referred me to the TV, VIZIO customer service rep. VIZIO told me the TV is out of warranty, ran a few tests, then told me to pay for a repair or buy a new TV. Then I got a call back from router company who took me through another hour of retests, only to find out that the ethernet cable was plugged into the wrong spot on the router. I highly recommend the Linksys routers, but never again a VIZIO TV. Just WOW and WOW and that's the end of my rant now. Cheers!

Ordered a TV from the Vizio warehouse on 11/22/16. The status was changed from processing to complete on 11/26. The UPS tracking number status remained at, shipping label created, through 11/30. I called Vizio several times about the UPS status and they claimed it was shipped. They suggested I file a missing package complaint with UPS. I did only to find out the TV was still at the Vizio warehouse. I called Vizio back and ask for a supervisor. The supervisor stated I was given the wrong info by Vizio Customer service and the package was not shipped. At this point I just wanted it canceled. I was assured by the supervisor it would be canceled and within 24-48 hours I would get a refund. The package was shipped 2 hours after this conversation with the supervisor.

I watched the status with UPS. It was being shipped to my house. I called back everyday stating that I canceled the order and it was still on its way to my house. Each time I was told it would not come to my house and would be shipped back. On 12/5 UPS delivered to my house which my wife refused. I have called everyday requesting a refund. Now they are saying when the package is returned to them I will get a refund within 24-48 hours. The package never should of been shipped because it was canceled. They just tried to shove it on me anyway. The customer service reps are liars and very rude. They will tell you anything to get you off the phone. I would hate to have gotten this TV and had a problem with it. I read the nightmares other people have had getting service. I hope to eventually get my money back. But from what I've read, they are people that will never get their money back from the junk they sell.

My husband purchased this brand and it worked great for about four months, then the blackouts that other reviewers mentioned started happening. At first, we didn't know if was the internet or the television. Then it started shutting down while watching DVD's. I called customer service and the representative was rude and impatient, then he hung up on me. I'm sure they are overwhelmed with phone calls, having to support such a crappy product but that's not my problem. We're taking this TV back to BJ's for a refund. DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND!!!

Purchased a 55 inch Vizio Smart TV from Target in February 2015. Started experiencing problems with the TV power and picture. At one point I could hear the TV but there was no picture and today I can't even get it to turn on. I called Tech Support and basically they said there is nothing they could do but instead gave me the number of a repair company. I have been told the repair would be very costly so it appears that I will be looking for another brand new TV! I expected a lot more for my money ($500) and to have a TV (that I rarely use except at nights and on weekend) last more than 22 months!! Never will buy a Vizio product again in my lifetime and will be sure to tell others not to bother either!!! Extremely frustrated and disappointed!!
