Vizio, to me, has the best display and is the best value. We have two 4k Ultras, largest is 50 in smallest 39 and have not had one go bad in any way. We had a 32 in for 7 years before passing in on any it still work fine with no loss in brightness or contrast.

The first one I bought was based on the price. I figured it would be low quality pic, I didn't expect a lot because I had never heard of Vizio and it was so inexpensive compared to the others. I was totally blown away by the quality of sound, picture and affordability! It was so much more than I expected, that all the new TV's that I have purchased have been Vizios.

I have had many Vizio TVs. It seems to me that they last the longest. I think 3 or 4 years is about average for ANY TV these days. I always get the extended warranties and always try to buy another Vizio. I like the quality and the features. I am not saying that your TV will die after 3 or 4 years, I AM saying that 3 or 4 years seems to be the limit on the ones I have bought, non-Vizio included. I've had Sharp, Sony and Insignia (Best Buy). I would recommend Vizio!

I bought this TV from Best Buy about 3 years ago after my previous LG TV got really hot and melted! I've been a big fan of it ever since. My family has DirecTV, Dish, local cable, every single streaming service that there is, and like 4 or 5 video game systems yet we only allow each child to watch 30 minutes per day during the week and 6 hours/day on the weekends. Being in SoCal I watch every USC women's game in every sport, so I need all those services. My husband's father lives with us and loves classic sitcoms like Leave It to Beaver and The Brady Bunch and Father Dowling Mysteries so we have to have all these streaming things for his tastes. Guess what, the TV handles all of it. We have every input filled and a few extra cords that have no place to go and have to switch them out, so I guess that is my only rhubarb with this TV is they could have like 10 more HDMI ports.

This is a great TV for the price. I own the 55 inch Vizio. The only drawbacks in my opinion is: The remote control is WAY too small for this size of TV and easily misplaced! The other issue with this TV is the sound... The sound is horrible and a person basically needs to invest in a sound system for quality sound!

I have had a number of different brand TVs over the years, but none have the quality or longevity of Vizio. I have had the Vizio for over 10 years with no problems or issues. The few times I have had to call the toll free number, I always get good, courteous service. There are two issues I would like to see, first, typing out words one letter/number at a time gets old. And second, you can not add apps to the system. Whatever the TV came with, is what you are stuck with. But other than those two issues, it has been a great TV.

Vizio seems to be able to get more stations than other TVs; however, their "guide" that tells you what channel you have & the current show information is so small you have to get up and walk to the TV to see it. If it weren't for that, I would have rated it a 5 all the way - but the guide is just too darned irritating.

The VIZIO V045-G9 (4K HDR) HDMI ports, Full UHD color is locked, no way to change from 30Hz to 60Hz. Could not force Roku Ultra to get past 4K, HDR, HDCP 2.2, 30Hz. In my opinion, this is borderline false advertising, as VIZIO says it's 120Hz refresh rate (on their scale, actually 60Hz). I called, was placed on hold for 25-30 minutes, the lady came back and said 'this is normal' & that 60Hz 'wasn't really needed'. Oddly, the same wasn't greyed out on a relative's Samsung 55" Smart TV. Am hopeful that VIZIO will provide a firmware update to resolve the issue, on the other hand, am optimistic. I believe VIZIO wants one to spend at least $500 to provide Full UHD Color on the HDMI 2.0 ports. This will likely be my last VIZIO TV purchase, my purchase was based on prior positive experience with a prior TV & two soundbars. Voting with my wallet is sure way to get their attention.

The only negative thing is that if there is even a very slight electrical outage, like one that is lightning fast -- so fast that if you blink you would miss it -- it shuts the TV off even when nothing else in the house is affected, not even the clock on my stove which previously held that distinction in my home. I'm hoping that doesn't harm the TV if it happens too often. As long as the TV isn't harmed it won't be a big deal for me. I can just turn the TV back on. I'm still very happy with my 40" Vizio TV.

Because I loved my Vizio so much, I told my son who is a gamer, to get a Vizio. I told him it's the only one that will work with his games without a "lag". I was right, he discovered, but only after he tried literally every other brand of t.v. first. (The nerve of him! lol) But true, he had to find out for himself and did find out that not only is Vizio the best brand of t.v. to work with his multitude of gaming consoles, but he also found out that... You guessed it, Mom's always right! :)

Besides all that, even if you're not a gamer, Vizio has proven to be a great t.v. for me - a non-gamer. I purchased mine over six years ago and it is still running strong today. It has apps pre-installed for YouTube, Netflix, and a bunch of others I can't remember because I don't use all of them. It has plug-in things on the side that I can plug an HDMI cord into so I can see my laptop screen on my television! How freaking cool is that??!! I love that because I can actually see my laptop screen that way - I'm almost 60 years old and my eyes are really aging much faster than the rest of me which looks as though I'm only 30, can you believe it? (Wink, wink.)

There are a bunch of other plug holes for who knows what. The only thing I don't like about this t.v. is where the cable or antenna screws into is very inconvenient. It's so difficult for even one of my kids to screw the cable into, I know it's not just me this time. Usually when I find myself getting frustrated with something, one or both of them will say, "Oh Mom! Let me get that for you!" but when I ask them to help me screw in the cable on my t.v. both of them are suddenly too busy to help me. Yeah, r-i-g-h-t!!! That's okay because I rarely need to do that thank goodness.

All in all, this is one of the best televisions we've owned and that's coming from one who started out with an old black and white with only three channel choices on it! Seriously! We used to have to get up off our butts to change the channel on our t.v.s! We never knew who was calling us on the phone until we answered it! Wow. These kids today don't know how easy they have it. Sheesh.

Purchased a TV last year strictly for my fantasy draft and initially had my eye on a different brand but Target did not have that model in stock and recommended a Vizio 65". Since I need it for that weekend I went with that. TV performed well for the draft, setup was easy. We noticed a small white strip of light at the top edge of the TV right below frame. A couple days later I was running on my treadmill in the basement and noticed it again so I looked closer. Essentially the frame was slightly raised and the screen not properly "popped in" at that spot, hence the white light and running finger over screen. There was also some bulging. That was essentially the last time the TV was used. We maybe used it for 10-20 hours.

This year we found the TV to not be working with essentially cracks all over the picture. Upon examination we found the screen had popped in place at that specific spot. I am guessing the temperatures here in Iowa may have placed some part in it but I guess I'm no scientist... When I contacted Vizio the support immediately shut me down, stating that is physical damage. When I tried to explain the situation they were unwilling to listen to see pictures and simply told me that only outside forces could lead to a screen crack essentially calling me a list, so I was left not only with a broken TV by no fault of our own, but upon seeking resolution with some very sad interactions.

I generally have more important things to do than to write reviews but I admittedly am sensitive when my integrity is being questioned in such a way. So to potential buyers I'd just say, "Be aware. The product seems fine, but if you have issues you're probably on your own." And to Vizio, "If you don't want to be accountable for your own product, so be it, hopefully over time the market will correct all that, but in the meantime at the very least treat people like people."

I received the Vizio D65-E0 television as a gift from the company I work for in July of 2018 (bought from Wal-Mart). The TV was purchased in May of 2018, but not opened until it was in my possession in July. Last week (June of 2019), the TV quit working. When I turn it on, the screen shows the Vizio logo for 15-20 seconds, turns off for 5 seconds, then turns back on with the Vizio logo and keeps repeating that process until I physically unplug the TV. The buttons on the remote won’t do anything, nor will the buttons on the TV. It has to be physically unplugged in order to completely shut the TV off. I first got in contact with Wal-Mart, and with no surprise, they directed me to Vizio because there was “nothing they could do”.

So I then called Vizio and spoke with their customer service department. They ran me through the “troubleshooting” processes, which I had already gone through after researching online (unplug the TV, hold the power button for 30 seconds, etc.). That didn’t work. So, the Vizio rep asked me the date of purchase, which I provided honestly as May of 2108, then explained that this was a gift and I didn’t physically receive the TV until July of 2018. That didn’t seem to matter to them. They said, and I quote, “we carry a 1-year warranty from date of purchase. We can’t help you.” As you can imagine, this was very unsettling (to say the least). I did not have the option to purchase an extended warranty on this particular TV since it was given to me as a gift.

I then went online to Vizio’s website and chatted with an online rep. After the same exact process I went through with them on the phone, the agent's response to me was “you can take it to a repair shop” (and obviously they weren’t going to cover that cost). They were completely unwilling to work with me, and telling me “you can take it to a repair shop” came across as they didn’t care one bit about customer loyalty. Very disappointing. Now if I had the TV for 2, 3, 4 years, I would understand, things happen. But that’s not the case! I’ve had the TV in my possession for 11 months! Shouldn’t Vizio be making products that actually last for more than 1 year??? After this experience, I will NEVER buy a Vizio TV again, nor will I purchase any electronics from Wal-Mart. Please take this into consideration when shopping for a television. Go with ANY other brand than Vizio, and buy from somewhere other than Wal-Mart!

The nonexistent customer service suggested I buy new ones since these were out of warranty. I did, but not with Vizio TVs. Since then, the other 2 70 inch TVs have backlight issues, since they are only in the corners, I'll leave them be for now. As I write this, just 2 years shy of the original purchase date, I noticed today that all 3 of my 55" Vizio LEDs are having backlight issues.

I would not recommend these TVs to anyone. I have 4 first generation LED tvs still hanging that are 5 years old and still working perfectly, they are Insignia LED TVs. I was just asked to install new TVs in another restaurant, I purchased all Insignia because they seem to last without issues. If you owned older Vizio that worked great and lasted...like myself. Or when I see a movie is now on Hulu (when I'm on the PC) but when I search for it on the TV it's not even listed. That's because Vizio has not updated their Hulu app. The Vizio representative kept parroting to me that my firmware was updated however neglecting to address the elephant in the room. Purchased this TV, new, in late 2017. It is now out of warranty. The TV screen blacks out and sound goes off when the TV is on for about 2 minutes, but the power remains on. Went thru troubleshooting. There is no issue with the power or the screen as the TV comes right back on after you turn it off and back on. Everything works, menu works, was able to boot back to factory settings and do updates. This has to be a firmware problem and it is beginning to look to me to be a known issue by the manufacturer or possibly intentional bad firmware, and I say that because a lot of Vizio's of all sizes are doing the same thing and at about the same usage time-frame, between 18 months and two years.

All over the web there are Vizio owners complaining about this and similar problems. If these Vizio TVs were cars they would have already been recalled for factory defects. I intend on filing complaints with several consumer protections agencies including the Federal Trade Commission. I bought a $99, 42 inch refurbished Insignia off TD almost six years ago and it is still working like a new TV, I recommend any potential purchaser of a new TV, avoid Vizio's until you read the problem that is readily noted all over the Web.

On May 30th, 2018 I purchased a Vizio P55-F1 for about $800 or so. After 5 months, the sound started going in and out in my HDMI inputs and the screen ratio would change itself randomly. I tried calling them and they only suggested that I change which input I used. I have a 4k device that I had plugged into the only 4k input on the tv. Which is the input that broke. Why would I switch my 4k device to a non-4k input? They refused to fix the tv at the time. A week later, there was an update to the tv since it connects to the internet. Didn't have any issues for months. Fast forward to April of 2019. My sound in all my inputs stopped working altogether. I have called Vizio 7-8 times in the last 2 weeks trying to get them to come fix my tv.

After jumping through all their hoops, I was told they would fix it. I then received a call from someone in California telling me to call a repairman in Georgia to get my tv fixed. I live in IOWA!!! How can a guy in Georgia fix my tv in Iowa? Short answer, he can't. Even he was confused. So I tried calling Vizio back and at this point I was angry. The customer service Supervisor continued to interrupt me while I was talking. I was cursing the entire time. He warned me to be "professional" which I laughed at since I had called them so many times in 2 weeks. I emailed the Customer Service Manager at the Vizio headquarters in California. Waiting to hear back. I requested a refund for my tv.

Growing up in a conservative Midwest household I never had flashy toys, but I had earned this bonus through hard work so, being a movie maniac, I bought a 70 inch Vizio with my bonus. We’ve had the tv for less than two years and suddenly a digital line came across the screen and won’t go away. I called Vizio for repair options. Well, apparently the warranty does not cover pixilation. Even the Vizio technician agreed that Vizio is terrible. The technician also told me that there is not worth fixing because it will not be worth it. Please, don’t buy Vizio products. They are un-American and disappointing. I purchased the “VIZIO SmartCast E70-E3 Class 4K Ultra HD Home Theatre w/ Chromecast Built-In” as a 70-inch TV for nearly $1,000 (on sale) and it didn’t last two years. The backlighting first started to die in the top left corner, and grew until more than half the television is just a giant dark circle. This technically advanced 70-inch “ultra HD 4K” television apparently can’t outperform my grandma’s television that has been alive and kicking since the 80’s.

The first Vizio representative I spoke with had to get approval from a manager for an “out of 1-year warranty” review, and indicated that this is a problem they’ve experienced with this model. The tone was very optimistic to get it replaced. I spoke with four different representatives (they called me every day since filing the claim) and with each different one (it was never the same case manager), the tone was more and more negative until I knew it wasn’t going to be correctly handled before even receiving the final call.

The final representative I spoke with who denied the claim also labeled the denial “non-economically viable” to repair the television because of the cost of parts and shipping would exceed the cost of a new television, and suggested to buy a new one. An Ultra HD 4K, SEVENTY INCH, Chromecast Smart TV that I paid nearly $1,000 (on sale) and has never been moved since it was taken out of the box had a life span of two years, and Vizio would do nothing about it. It’s clear to me as a consumer and with my experience in talking to four different representatives that Vizio knowingly sold this model with issues and by design is flawed. The design and engineering of this smart, 70-inch television leads to a total of a 2-year life span.

To reiterate, a 70-inch Vizio television will not last two years before becoming massively defective. Don’t buy a Vizio, please don’t let my experience be yours. A company shouldn’t be able to get away with selling inherently flawed products in order to garner more sales when their products fail by design - I don’t think I’m just a fluke as indicated by my first conversation with them - they know the television model has issues and they’re doing nothing about it. If this model has issues, then anything they sell can’t be trusted. Vizio would not issue a replacement, a repair, or a credit for a future television after a 70' died after two years.

My 2 year old TV is not turning on, or more correctly it is powering on but then powering off, I have done the power cycle multiple times. The Vizio logo comes up then screen goes black. Sometimes if you leave it for 30 min or so it will turn on, currently not… I called tech support. The first guy I talked to ”Carlos” was pleasant enough and after a few minutes of trying things he told me he would send an email containing a service request as it sounded to him like the power supply needed replacement. A Google search will show this is a common issue with the product.

I got my receipt scanned and attempted to fill out the service request. My purchase date is Feb 8th 2017. That just over two years ago. I get an error message telling me my warranty is not valid and cannot complete the request. I called back and got another tech. I couldn’t catch his name because he mumbled it. After a good frustrating/Infuriating 20 min session with him I ended up hanging up because I didn’t need to hear him attempt to explain to me ”again” that my warranty was up so there is no recourse. Yeah it's up by about 3 weeks. This is of course after 15 min going back and forth about what browser I am using and can I hold…

I never claimed my warranty was valid to either technician, I assumed they make a quality product and I should expect more than 2 years of service out of a 1,400 dollar TV, I guess I am mistaken. If there was no way to put in a service request why did the first tech send me a form to fill out? Are they training service reps to waste people's time? I have now lost over an hour of my Sun. The second Rep was actually arguing with me on the phone trying to explain how televisions are produced. I am a designer with a degree in industrial design…

I am absolutely disgusted by this. The TV is just over 2 years old. I have owned 4 over a 10 year period. The 3 older ones still function. Vizio is connected to Samsung, they are a subsidiary brand, there is no excuse for this… I tried contacting Vizio customer service to complain about "customer service" but the online form doesn't work, so... On the 30th day, it went COMPLETELY DEAD. Obviously it is defective. Brought it back to Best Buy and they would not give me a refund or an exchange. SO INCONVENIENT! They said I have to go through the manufacturer. If I wanted to have to go online to deal with a return, I would have made the purchase with an ONLINE RETAILER.

The only reason I went to BEST BUY was for convenience. So much for that. Called VIZIO and they would exchange, but would not issue me a refund. SINCE WHEN CAN'T YOU MAKE A RETURN FOR MONEY BACK??? To go through all this crap is not worth it. Vizio and Best Buy, you lost a customer! I should have the option to get my money back if I choose not to exchange. I do in all other retailers that I have dealt with...Bad customer service in my opinion.

Plenty of hookup like 4 HDMI's cable ready 4K + Dolby Vision. Chromecast built-in use your phone to stream to a 1000+ Chromecast enabled apps to the tv. We first bought a Vizio about ten years ago. There was some problem with sound (much later, we discovered it was the HDMI cable and not the TV!), and the tech came to our home to fix it. I was really impressed by their customer service, and we've since bought three other Vizio TVs. We love the picture quality and the functionality.

This happened about 3 months after I purchased it. I have called 4 times to complain and they said they were going to send someone out after my 4th time calling for the same complaint. Finally, got them to send someone out and they were suppose to come look at my TV for a month now. It is excuse after excuse! The tech guy they were sending, his truck broke down one week, the next week he was sick, and the two weeks he called said he was going to come and never showed up!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!

Vizio is a good TV but over time you will experience problems with pixelation if it is not connected to cable or a dish. Biggest problem is that the settings will try to reset or change the resolution which delays the TV from coming on for big TVs and interferes with the visual presentation of programs for smaller TVs.

It's as close to lifelike as it gets!!! Almost like you could really reach out and touch what is on the screen. There was one time I had to take my daughter’s TV back about two weeks after we bought it but it was only because the Power button was broke off inside the TV. No big deal, took it back and got another just like it and it works like a champ. Overall, I would TOTALLY recommend VIZIO brand for your home tv experience!!!

VIZIO TV price point is awesome. It's one of the main reasons I reach for this brand versus others. I now own 5 VIZIO sets with my oldest being circa 2015. The picture is very good but there are times when certain features don't work well like the SmartCast. The USB and HDMI ports are VERY faulty. They break easily and the repair turnaround is not as quick as I would like. Though I own 5 units with varying screen sizes, resolutions, and features, I wouldn't buy another and I can't recommend this product.
