3 TVs in 4 months. First the self service portal wouldn't work on 3 different computers. Ok. I'll call in then but the phone tech says to go use the portal. Each phone call was also followed by another one asking for something they forgot. So I get the first TV and 2 months later it's out. Frustrating but it happens. So TV 2 warranty process starts and they send me the packaging to send it back. I load up the TV and give it to UPS. 3 days later it's at my front door again. They mailed me a label to mail my tv to my own house. Then after that crap-show I finally get TV 3... And THEY TRIED TO GIVE ME A DOWNGRADED MODEL TV!!! 100$ price difference... And if that wasn't enough it was broken too... And a brand new TV at that.
After a week of trying to explain how I'm not ok with them trying to snake in a cheaper tv they have finally agreed to refund my money but not after trying to sweeten the deal with what I'm sure is old returned crap they can't sell anyway. Getting my money and running for the hills. Will never buy Vizio again. Sure looks nice while it works but they don't last and replacing them is a nightmare. Spend the extra bucks for a name brand you can trust. IDK if people actually read these but Vizio will try and scam you during warranty!!! DO NOT ACCEPT A CHEAPER PRODUCT JUST BECAUSE IT'S CONVENIENT. MAKE THEM KNOW YOU WON'T HAVE IT. They cannot make you take a cheaper product for warranty and have to refund your money if they do not have the correct product.

I purchased a 65 inch flat screen Vizio TV little less than two years ago and already broken. First started out noticing a black shadow in the lower left screen that eventually creeping to the upper right then consuming the entire viewing screen. I did some research and learned that the LED back lights went out. Did a little bit of footwork to check out the repair, and costed more to repair than the TV costed when purchased. And of course only a one year warranty so it’s not covered. Do not do not buy a Vizio. You will surely regret it.

Model: M50-D1 50". The remote for the tv was a tablet. "Nice," I thought. Came with wireless charging pad. Ok. Seems like what I want. Also has regular remote. Get new tv home and start set up. Immediately a box pops up and says, "Use this code to get a new remote cause yours is old." What? Called to get new one and was told I had to purchase the remote. My tv is new. I just bought a new remote with the new tv. I refused to purchase. Proceeded to set up the tablet. Tablet worked for a few months and then wouldn't charge. Tv was also freezing up. Would lock down my whole system. Constantly rebooting.
Calling Vizio. Months and months and months. Every time I called another idiot would be clueless about my previous problems. Had to argue about tablet and remote. Neither worked and they didn't want to make it right. They drag me through hell. Finally after a year of this I got them to send me a new remote for free. God knows they didn't want to. Then I continued with remote. Finally got them to replace tablet and pad. I had to package up old and send in and then they sent new. Tablet is a joke. They were a mistake that didn't work. Horrible ongoing experience.

They won’t send me a replacement due to it being out of warranty. I have only used it maybe 5 times. On top of that my tv is Vizio hence why we got a Vizio soundbar. The remote is crap. I’ve had to order a new one offline. I’m so done with Vizio! Never again!

I bought a Vizio at Costco and 1 year later I noticed black areas in each corners. I have a 4 year warranty because I bought it at Costco but the 1st 2 years are through Vizio. I called Vizio and told them about the problem, at first they were reassuring and told me they would take care of it. They offered me a replacement 70" E series but I had an M series so I told them I would rather have the money back. They told me they would have to go higher up and check and that they would get back to me. A little over a week passed and a 70" empty box arrived at my door. I called and ask what to do and they ask me if I could pack the TV and send to through UPS, I told them couldn't so about a week later they sent 2 guys in an SUV to pick the TV up.
I ask if they worked for Vizio and they said no, they said they were hired by them to pick the TV up. The TV came with a power cord, remote, small tablet, charging cord for the tablet and feet for the TV. I laid everything out for the guys to pack and they packed everything and left and told me Vizio will be in touch. I was supposed to receive 795.00 for the TV and 2 weeks later with no call or email I received a check for 689.00, they shorted me 106.00 dollars and when I called they told me that the tablet was cracked. The tablet was not cracked and I watched the 2 guys pack it up and tape the box closed. I would not recommend Vizio to anyone and I work in the sales department at Costco.

Great TV while it lasts. But a little under 3 years my screen went black and they just say "It's out of warranty (which is only one year) and it's beyond economical repair, so you are SOL, buy a new TV." That is really unacceptable. I recommend going with a company that will back their product, or at the very least get an extended warranty (but they aren't that cheap).

I have a Vizio soundbar that stopped working completely. The person on the other end couldn't figure out a way to fix it and ended the call that since my warranty ended two weeks ago, I can't replace the sound bar. What they're actually saying is this: "We make trash products in which the quality is only our responsibility for one year. After one year, our products stop working, so we wouldn't be able to make money if we had a longer warranty." It's 2019 and they have a one year warranty on their products and are expecting to last. This company is trash and I stand against everything about it.

I did expect something like this would at least last the extent of its use. They refused to help me so here I am giving them a review. Wish they would contact me and fix this. We tried calibrating our picture on a Vizio TV we purchased from its original who said he couldn’t figure out why the screen was so dark. Upon googling some reasons for this, it seemed fixable with a new HDMI cord or resetting factory defaults. When none of this worked, and the screen still had saturation and green instead of black backgrounds, we contacted Vizio customer support. After manually entering some picture settings, the colors were still off. Immediately the representative responded with “This is a panel failure and deemed ‘beyond economical repair.’” I.e. buy a new TV; this one is broken, but you’ll get no support from the company.
I asked if there was an estimated cost of repair. The rep could not supply one and said we have to look into “local television repair companies” ourselves. I asked, "If we are not the original owners, how do we look into extended warranty?", and the response was unhelpfully “Ask the original owner” as though we keep in daily contact. I even looked for any answers online and all I find was that Vizio does not in fact to ANYTHING when this happens.
The TV is less than 4 years old. We will be buying a new TV, but it will NOT be Vizio. Customer support should be more helpful when the problem is in the hardware and not by any means the fault of the customer. This is disappointing because we have a second Vizio TV and would have liked to remain loyal to the brand, but this experienced has proved there are better companies putting more reliable equipment into their TVs and, furthermore, reliable when it comes to assisting customers instead of shutting them down when their own product malfunctions.

In a 1 month span I went through 3 Vizio TVs (2 of them being p65f1s), returning all of them. The tv itself has a solid panel; video games, tv shows/movies looked great. With that being said, there were consistent issues with all the TVs I received - most notably being vertical banding (basically shadow bars extending vertically across the panel that were very noticeable when watching hockey games). Next, the smart TV interface was sluggish - and (on the last unit I received) when watching Netflix, the tv would randomly factory reset. After purchasing and returning 3 Vizio TVs it's evident that there are clear quality control issues with this brand. If you want the best value for your money, these are great TVs - but if you want less of a headache, it's best to go with a more reputable brand.

Cust service knows it's a problem, they may as just record a message telling you to pull the plug for ten seconds. LOL. I'm an inch away from buying a Roku and giving up on "SmartCast", guess it's probably why Vizio is referring to it just as CAST now... Pass on Vizio IMO.

On the day before Christmas Eve 2018, our barely 3-year-old 65" Vizio's screen went out, though audio continues to play. Vizio's customer service team tells me that the backlight is bad, and since I'm out of warranty all they can offer is to sell me a new TV. They offered to sell me a 65" for $720, which they claim is discounted but is $120 over what I could buy it from at the local Best Buy (according to a quick Google search they have a similar model for $599).
My wife and I have five boys, ages 1-15. Pretty much all of the gifts that will be under the Christmas tree tomorrow are somehow related to this TV (a new Nintendo Switch game system, multiple games, a Roku for the TV, and other accessories). We are a single-income household and don't have ANY leftover funds after Christmas shopping, let alone a spare $720 to replace a lemon 65" Vizio. It's a real-life nightmare before Christmas scenario. I couldn't be more disappointed with Vizio quality of product and customer service.
I've written to their CEO, President, VPs, and Digital Team, asking them to treat this as in warranty and send me a replacement if they want to keep a loyal customer (we currently have three Vizios in our house). Will report back if I hear from them that they can do anything substantive for me, but if not they've not only lost me as a customer for life but gained a very vocal critic... Maybe I'll write Samsung too and offer my story for advertising, as I hear they have good customer service and marketing teams and value their brand reputation.

I purchased 2 Vizio Smart TVs that are about 2 1/2 years old. One is a 50 inch and one is a 60 inch. We have always had issues turning them on or keeping them on. Vizio's customer support reps only suggest that you power cycle the televisions even though they know that's not the problem. Well... both of these televisions are completely not working as of today! Vizio suggests calling a local technician or purchasing another television. I have televisions in my house that are a lot older than these "Smart TVs" that continue to work fine. There is no way these Vizios should only last as long as their fake warranty... a year.
I am filing a formal class action suit against them for knowingly selling faulty products to consumers. They should pull their faulty products off of the shelves. I may not get all of my money back, but they should give me some of it back and I'll use it on a better "non-Vizio" product! For anyone interested... I have started a claim on **.

And of course we did that and it didn't work so they basically told us that it was out of warranty at 12 months and it was not economically repairable. Wish I had read previous reviews before using my E-series home theater display. I really was impressed with the picture quality initially and was contemplating adding the Vizio 5.1 sound bar system. But then the smartcast system started being unable to connect to the internet. Spent hours with Vizio support restarting the tv and resetting it. They kept blaming my network but everything else was connected just fine. This was really a cheap move on their part because a simple google search shows that this is a common problem they have so they obviously know about it.
Anyway after proving that my network is not the issue they gave me a case ID and asked me to call again later. I did but since it is over the one year warranty their best solution was to "plug a Roku stick in" and forget the smartcast. I received a call back from some manager named Beth and she pretty much told me the same thing, but she offered to sell me one of their 70” Tvs for $600.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing: Vizio wanted me to dish out more money to buy a discounted Television from them that would probably stop working at the two year mark. I’ve had a Sony TV for about 10 years and it still runs great. I’m more upset because I’d purchased my second Vizio TV about a year ago, and given the bad reviews with the screen failing, it might happen to my second set. When talking to the Vizio technician acted as if this was a common problem and seem like they were reading from the same script. Reporting my TV's bad NIC got tech support responses, but only deflecting answers, no actual support. In the first few months of owning this TV, we saw very flakey behavior from the smart apps for Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube. Apps would freeze up or crash and drop the TV to the broadcast tuner. I tried to diagnose the issue with our ISP (Cox), Vizio tech support, and Hulu tech support. Each entity had processes for the diagnosis.
Ultimately, Cox and Hulu pretty well agreed it was a bad Network Interface Card (NIC) in the Vizio TV. My long technology career agreed with their assessment. Vizio tech support refused to agree during the warranty period. I should have taken the TV back to Costco for a refund, but the interactions between all the tech support took us beyond the 3 month return period, so I was stuck with the TV. Since then, the NIC has worsened by randomly failing to find our WIFI (the TV is within 15 feet of the router, and nothing else in our house has any internet issues). But now Vizio says since we're beyond the warranty period it is not their problem - even knowing about all the reports from the first few months. I purchased a 50" LED TV (LED 2160p w/4K Ultra HD) in late October of 2016. I ordered it online from Best Buy for a cost of $699 -- plus 60 bucks in taxes and fees. It was delivered a few days later in good working order. We had a myriad of issues with the TV accessing applications (Netflix, Amazon, UFC, etc.) and would experience freezes and delays. After a few months, having no recourse, we moved it into our garden room on a wooden shelf. We used it off and on, but not daily.
Yesterday morning I woke up to our CO2 alarm going off which was right next to the TV. I came out and inspected the room, not knowing the source. The room smelled like burned plastic. I finally looked at the TV and the screen looked all warped. The bottom (if you are facing the TV) left corner was burned and the plastic was melted. The screen was melted and cracked in the location as well. In essence, the screen sparked and burned, on its own. There were no power surges that night and no issues with any other device in our house. We did have an Amazon Firestick plugged into the TV, but we have the same unit plugged into our other Sony TV and have never experienced a single issue.
I wrote a long email, inclusive of pictures to Vizio customer service. I had to repeat the issue and resend all my information to them several times in a very frustrating email exchange. Then, they said that they would replace the TV and send a TV to a local store for pick up. Then, they reminded the offer, in subsequent emails asking for my CC to hold funds for a new TV if I was willing to send the TV back to them and wait 8-12 business days for an answer on the replacement. Then 4-6 additional business days for shipping. So, I would pay for the convenience of waiting a month to get a new replacement TV.
I cannot give a worse rating for these folks. I am furious. I have purchased (3) Vizio TV's, total, with this one being the most expensive. This is how they treat customers. More specifically, this is how they treat customers who had a product of theirs literally spark and melt down. Beyond being a terrible product, they sold me a fire hazard. NEVER, NEVER buy a Vizio. Pic really great until 4 months in, now a piece of garbage. Brightness levels completely out of whack, too dark or too bright, have to adjust for almost every scene and show. Bleeding, smearing, blobs of light everywhere in the dark scenes, excruciating to watch. I know how to adjust pic settings and calibrate the colors, too, I'm familiar with all the adjustments that have to be made and tweaked.
This is the second Vizio I have bought and both terrible. First one went back 2 months after buying, now 4 months after buying e65-e1, same PQ issues, only worse. Vizio at first kept saying it was my internet. When I wouldn't accept that (because the same issues occur watching Blu-ray, and videos on my computer), they just kept repeating it wasn't my TV. They had multiple pics of the PQ issues and still absolutely refuse to acknowledge there is an issue.
How can they blame the PQ on the internet, but then say there is no PQ issue? Absolute BS. They are now asking for more pics "but make them clear and bright this time." It is unbelievable that I have to explain that the pics aren't clear and bright BECAUSE THE TV ISN'T WORKING PROPERLY. Vizio support is trained to frustrate you until you give up - they have no intention of helping you. I have NEVER had a worse customer service experience in my life. PLEASE save your money and invest in a Samsung, Sony or LG. You will be pouring your money down the drain if you buy a Vizio. Nope, and no willingness to work with me, i.e. give me a better price on a new soundbar package. I was very clear to them - work with me just a little, or I will never buy a Vizio product again. Now that Yahoo Store is Vizio's primary app store... no more Pandora, no more Hulu (some of that is Hulu too... cancelled), no more iHeart, no more Pluto. "It shouldn’t," the installer said. Well folks it did 18 months later.

One evening it worked, the next morning it didn't turn on. I contacted support and they initially seemed decent enough. They suggested the usual tech-support tips, but when nothing worked they told me that they would send out a replacement and that I could send the defective unit back. Sounded great to me! Except they were lying.
I spent the next THREE MONTHS emailing back and forth. Each time I would inquire about the replacement, they would reassure me that they would be "more than happy" to do that for me. Nothing ever proceeded, and nothing showed up at my door. I sent countless emails asking about the status, and they replied each time with the same thing. After this went on for three months I get a different response email. Went something like "we're sorry but unfortunately you're out of the 1-year limited warranty window and we're unable to assist you with a replacement." That was the last I heard from them. I have had nothing but problems from day one when I was given this Vizio TV as a replacement for a superior Toshiba. First off, Vizio TVs won’t work unless you download their useless app and set it up using your home WiFi connection (this way, you’ve now taken up space on your phone or tablet with their TERRIBLE app, and if your WiFi signal isn’t working - you have a totally unwatchable set). So it took a couple of hours to set up initially, which I hadn’t bargained for. They want your name, email, location, etc. all sorts of information a TV shouldn’t NEED to work.
After I finally got it set up, I thought that was it and we could finally just enjoy our TV. I was so wrong. I have had to reset the whole system at least 15 times since then (I haven’t even had this TV a year yet) re-download the app, re-set the TV, re-share all of my account information... today while watching a game, the picture froze, I assumed it was my cable. Of course it was the TV - my cable is fine. I now have a broken Vizio TV - one that I just messed with for over 2 hours. Buyers BEWARE! Vizio is the absolute worst TV I’ve ever owned - and the app they make you use is completely worthless. Buy anything but Vizio!

Nothing worked, the TV was under the one year warranty so they sent out a replacement TV. The replacement was a refurbished TV that was supposedly working fine. It worked fine for a few months but then in March of 2018, the smart TV features stopped working. Then about a month later my cable box and fire stick would not work.
After speaking with VIZIO they instructed me to deal with my cable provider who was centrally came out and proved that there was nothing wrong with the cable box, there was an issue with the TV. At this point it is June 2018 when I call VIZIO again and they tell me that the TV is out of the one year or warranty range. I bought a 70" Vizio LCD TV from Wal-Mart for approximately $1600, the screen began developing little white dots everywhere. Still under warranty, the customer service person said they had many reports of this and they would replace the unit. New unit, began doing the same thing just a few months in. Yet again called (by this point the three year extended warranty we paid extra for, was in use). This time they sent a local TV repair company to take and fix it. The repair company wrote it off as unrepairable (and were right, it died a week later).
The extended warranty and testimony of the local repair company initiated a replacement action. About a week later (just when the unit died) they insurance/warranty company called and said my unit was no longer available as a replacement and asked if another model may be substituted. I replied with "do I have a choice?". They told me it was equal to the previous unit so I agreed. By the way, there was NO TV tuner in the replacement unit, they stopped building them with tuners but didn't tell me I would need satellite to even use it now.
The new unit came and so far no white dots. BUT the whole upper left side of the screen has gone dark just about half a year later. Now when I got this, I was told the standard year warranty covering parts and labor would apply, so I contacted Vizio. Many times now. They often ignore any form of contact until you blast them on their Facebook page publically. They have had me send multiple pictures then agreed to replace it.
Then two hours later said, they could not replace it. They have since asked for a receipt that doesn't exist because it's a replacement from the extended coverage and nobody gave me one over the phone. But I have the packing slip. Eventually, they claim it was a used unit from Wal-Mart. Firstly, Wal-Mart doesn't sell used merchandise (wife is a manager there), secondly, it came through the extended service plan through Asurion (sp), not purchased through Wal-Mart and I was told it was a NEW unit and had "The standard year warranty covering parts and labor".
They are either drastically undertrained or obviously trying to weasel out of every last penny they can. The products just don't work and quality is worsening. I am a highly sought, nation-wide Audio/Visual design and installation tech. and there was a time when the name Vizio was akin to mentioning Mercedes or Cadillac. After this experience and my now 5 failed units (others purchased at other times but none made it to 12 months)... well, anyone remember Sanyo or Apex? How about Pinto? This company is out for a quick cash grab and consumer protection bureau's really need to watch this company. It's the tech equivalent of Fanny Mae crossed with Bernie Madoff.
I'm at my wit's end and know that replacing multiple units with identical, poorly designed units, can lead to identical problems but I can't understand how the handling of these situations, as engineered by the company and its policies or poor training, can be handled so poorly. Without bringing the attention of the FTC or at least, a class action suit.

That being said the trouble started after just 3 months with this set. The audio would completely go out at random times. I would have to grab the remote and turn the Sound Bar back on to resume watching my content.
I contacted Vizio a number of times and was advised to stop using the HDMI connection and switch over to Optical. Sounds fishy to me but ok. I switched connections and that seems to work for a few months until the sound once again started to go out at random times proceeded by a buzzing sound. It would remain out for 10-15 seconds and then return to normal until the next failure. I contacted Vizio again (all documented cases with their online support) and got angry. By this time I'm 11 months into ownership with this crappy brand so the factory warranty is nearly out.
They decide to send a repair tech out to replace the speakers, power board and main board. The repair tech arrives in a very old unmarked car with a bad muffler. I could hear that ** can coming down the road while inside my house. He was very unprofessional and appeared to have no formal training in electronics repair. He proceeded to replace the parts in my TV and upon completion the set was completely DEAD. Keep in mind that I at least had a picture and intermittent sound BEFORE the "repair".
I contact Vizio again after he left and they finally decide that they want to replace the TV. I want a refund and I'm told that's not an option. The replacement TV is a re-furbished one, not a brand new unit. This set was purchased new in 2017 and was, at the time, a new model. That new model has already been discontinued in favor of another new model. I can only assume that mine was so problematic that they went back to the parts bin to cobble together another Frankenstein TV with overstock parts from other manufacturers, that's how this company makes such cheap TVs. The customer service representative was rude as well. I really just want my money back so I can put it toward the purchase of the Samsung that I should have bought in the first place.
BTW, Sam's Club is no help whatsoever. They say that I'm past my 90 day return period and referred me to SquareTrade for the warranty. SquareTrade has no record of my purchase from Sam's Club. Their site asks for my Sam's member ID and for some reason they can't even find my membership even though it's valid and active. It still does not work. The customer service department was of absolutely no help, their only solution was to offer a "discounted" price on another inferior Vizio TV. The discounted price they gave me was actually $12 more than what I paid for the original TV. It's very unfortunate a company like this that got caught illegally selling customer data would not do more to assist a customer who they sold a defective product to. I will no longer be purchasing anymore Vizio products.

I purchased a 58" Vizio 4K TV from Best Buy September 2016. I did not purchase the extended warranty, I have previously purchased Samsung TV's that are well over 10 years old and are still working fine with no issues. In June 2018 I turned on the TV and there were vertical moving lines of different colors and the background was a rainbow of colors and lines that made viewing any of the picture impossible. I unplugged all of the wires, did a reset, and tried various sources with no improvement. I called Vizio and they confirmed my warranty was out, they told me to call their service center. I called the center and explained the issue and they told me that the entire screen would need to be replaced, they agreed that it was a malfunction and not damaged as the lines and colors are constantly moving around, not in one place as you would get from damage. They told me that the cost would exceed the value of the TV and I should just replace the TV.
I called Vizio back and told them that I was stuck with a $700 paperweight that is only 20 months old. They offered a "special pricing" on a new Vizio 60" TV- $410 plus $90 shipping= $500 total for a new Vizio TV. I looked up the TV model while still on the phone and saw that Walmart was selling this model for just over $550. So $50 off on a new TV from a brand that dies after 20 months is "special"? No thank you. I escalated to a supervisor, who told me she had nothing to offer me. I told her that I would never buy Vizio again, that I would tell all of my friends to never buy Vizio, and that I would review Vizio online as a garbage TV that Vizio will not stand behind. She let me know that she was perfectly fine with that. So here we are. DON'T EVER BUY A VIZIO PRODUCT. They are cheap and Vizio does not stand behind them. They will die after only 20 months and Vizio doesn't care one iota.

I've owned Samsung 42" now in the basement still working perfectly 8 years and Zenith 55" that worked flawlessly for 5 years and then went out after a power/thunderstorm. So the 55" Vizio went out 2 weeks before the 1 year mark. It was replaced by Vizio. New one out of the box a month later still has issues. But I'm held to the original warranty. I joked with the repairman about the one upstairs going out and wouldn't you know 2 weeks after warranty was up that one went out. These TVs are garbage. Please take this review seriously.
I'm so mad I bought this brand and I will not make this mistake again. I work hard for my money and there is nothing worse than throwing money out like that. I have 2 less than 2 year old TVs that are junk. Funny thing is when I told the repairman that I had the 55" Zenith/LG in the garage he asked if he could have it. The TV was still under warranty although there was a 6 month gap between the 1st and 2nd time it was used. I contacted Vizio and was told, "We will replace it." Thank you. I should think so. Then came the stinker. "We will send you a box and you will have to pack and send it back here within 30 days. Once received we will send you out a reconditioned set," yes reconditioned and the warranty will be reduced to 90 days.
On the day the box arrived some two weeks later I received an email to query why I hadn't sent the tv back. They did send a tracking number with the box but that didn't work either so I couldn't complain that they must be aware that it was delivered that day. I duly boxed up the Tv and then found I had to deliver to the nearest UPS store one hour away by car. The whole process is going to take a month to 6 weeks. They did give me an alternative. I have loved this TV for over 2 years now, and for the price it was and the size it is, perfect for me at 37 in, I would recommend it vehemently. The only true negative I have found has been the menu/settings and after 2 years I rather not go into adjusting or changing things there. It still is far from clear or even sensible to me and to others on how to get to tinker with anything in that way. BUT everything else is awesome and more than worth the price. It also has a slew of hookup options in the back to connect with with a whopping 3 HDMI spots which I have for example a Chromecast as well as an Amazon Fire stick and finally an HDMI cord for laptops and such, a couple component spots as well a couple auxiliary and so on.
So I don't see it possible to complain on connectivity even a smidge. The picture's fine enough, a much more expensive TV may be a bit sharper or fine picture, but I'm satisfied with mine - and honestly, if I could play with my settings in my menu comfortably or just even at all it might tune it up still a bit finer I'm sure. I feel it's an awesome purchase.

There has been a tech out twice because one was under warranty, after that didn't work they sent another TV and same thing is happening to this one now!
It's one thing for a manufacturer to make and sell, in my opinion, defective TV’s, but to have to argue with a rep about every problem/detail and say, “Too bad you have no warranty. So sorry". (Two of the TVs were only a year and a half year old.) I explained and I have no warranty but this is clearly a defect and there is numerous complaints /bad reviews on line- which she denied. If I could give this zero stars, I would. My husband and I purchased a 70” Vizio smart cast television last April. From the moment we got it home, it has been an absolute nightmare. It has never casted properly. It would continuously cut off/turn off or freeze while watching Netflix. It has never been able to cast Amazon Prime. At first we thought we were doing something wrong or it was an issue with our WiFi. We called customer service several times and did troubleshooting. We did factory resets. Nothing worked.
After 10 months of dealing with this, we finally decided that for $1,800, our TV should work. After speaking with a Vizio supervisor, they agreed to send a tech out to see if they could fix the issue. They told us if the bottom of the TV was over 5’ high, we needed to get it down off of the mount. Otherwise, the tech could. We measured. Not 5’, but it is 4+’ as it is mounted over our fireplace.
The tech, a 55-year-old woman, showed up while my husband was at work. She stated she had to have the TV come down. She and I lifted this 63lb, 70” TV off the mount so she could work on it. She replaced the motherboard and the WiFi board. After three hours, and tracking a truckload of dirt into my living room, she finally determined it indeed did not work. A “lemon” of sorts. She said she would fill out the proper paperwork and we should receive a replacement TV.
After a week or two, we were contacted by Vizio to schedule our TV swap. Turns out they were offering us a refurbished television, not a new one. Ok, as long as it works. We scheduled the swap for last Friday between 2-6 pm. I took off work to wait on them and once again lugged this beast off the wall. They called around 3:30 and said they forgot to put the TV onto the truck and we needed to reschedule. We rescheduled for Monday between 2-6. Again, I took off work and took this monstrosity down. At 5:40, I called and they said they were terribly sorry, but again were not coming. This time they didn’t give a reason.
I called Vizio last night and spoke with two people in customer service. After explaining all of this twice and being placed on several holds, their basic attitude was, “Oh well.” They agreed to contact their service department to schedule delivery of our new (used) television for yet a third time (and a third time missing work for a TV and hauling it down) and someone would get with me within 1-3 business days.
I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of customer service and quality of this product. We have a Samsung and two LGs in our house that have never given us a moment's trouble. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone stay away from Vizio. Save yourself the headache and go with a company that actually makes a quality product and at least if they don’t, is willing to rectify the situation efficiently. As business owners ourselves, we find this completely unacceptable. If we treated our customers the way we were treated by Vizio, we would be out of business within a year, no doubt. Not for nothing but I on a set budget due to the car accident and the only I bought was with my settlement which was not much and I don’t have another thousand dollars hanging around. What kind of product are they selling us when you spend all that money and they keep breaking. I have spoken with on people that bought Vizio TVs and they were not happy either. So I’m in talk with a congressman and he agreed that Vizio should be responsible so the tv and have agreed on bring this out to the public on the way they treat their customers and the LEGO tv they are selling to people. They are just like LEGOs. If you touch them they break down. So we are going to be on every consumer site and reporting and will be letting the world know what broken down TVs they are selling now that I have the congressman working on it with me. And I will be sitting down with Help Me Howard from channel 11 to help also.

Now, 4 months out of warranty, no sound or video. Just a blank, black screen. Seems that the "main board" is shot and, big surprise, Vizio doesn't sell parts for their own product. Rather, they gave me the number to their "out-of-warranty" parts supplier who wants me to leave a message and they'll call me back tomorrow. I think I'll set up my now-not-working, $1000 Vizio TV in the backyard and use it for target practice. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A VIZIO PRODUCT. YOU'LL BE SORRY YOU DID!!!

This is my third Vizio TV and the reason I think they are so great is because I buy them refurbished. Usually refurbished electronics fail within a year or two. In my case a have a 24 inches Vizio I purchased at Walmart around 4 years ago. They are very advanced and I got better value for my money. My 42 inches has a crisp clear screen almost as good as 4k is refurbished so it cost me a fraction of its original value. I had all the features I wanted like LED, HDMI ports I got 2. It also measures almost that my other TV's said like 20 inches and it hardly got to 19 inches. So scale is more to the point. To me if it stands its ground for a long time being refurbished it has good bones.

I bought this TV (Vizio 32 inch smart TV) less than a year ago. It was meant to work with an app on the phone. However the internet is not strong enough to hold the signal. Therefore the remote for this tv and several features do not work, including the sleeper timer. Since I purchased this tv for my bedroom that is a priority feature for this TV. My larger TV had an update and they sent me a new remote because they are aware of the problem. I called to find out how to upgrade my 32 inch. They said at this time there is no plans to update this TV but they are aware it doesn't work. So basically, they can't help me, I can't afford to get a new TV, and am stuck with a TV that doesn't work as it should. I expected more from both Sony and Vizio. Too bad. It lasted about three years and one day just went off, no sound, no picture, just a black screen. The power button lit up and that was it. A couple years later I bought another 42 inch Vizio because I had a wall mount for that TV. After two years, the new one did the exact same thing, all the sudden, a black screen, no picture, no sound. I tried that gimmick about unplugging it and holding down the power button for 10 seconds. I gave them the picture of the TV, TV tag too. I offered my credit card receipt but Vizio would not accept it. Then I send them another receipt and they still tell me I can’t get a replacement. They have the TV on the Vizio website in stock. Vizio says they only have so many replacement TV for warranty and they have no more left. This is a week after Vizio tells me in writing that they will replace the TV in house swap in 7-10 days.
They cannot offer a replacement just because they have stock as new, because this is a Vizio warranty and has nothing to do with the new stock they have. Unbelievable. I have purchased two Vizio televisions in The Last 5 Years. The first was a 50-inch flat screen smart TV and about a year after purchasing it, the screen got bumped and developed a large line taking up about half of the screen and caused the picture to go black and white. I had purchased a full warranty on top of the regular warranty thru Best Buy and assumed that that covered everything according to what they told me. IT DOES NOT! They said, after the fact, that the screen is the only thing that they do not replace because it cost more to fix that than to replace the entire television itself. I accepted that perhaps I did not read the fine print and I went ahead and purchased another Vizio television which was now a 55 inch flat screen smart TV.
I noticed from the very beginning that the base was very very flimsy and the screen literally bopped back and forth if you even touched it at all (from reading online this an issue that came with all of the TVs of that generation Vizio). We decided to keep it anyway and had it for less than three years before suddenly the screen went black. The sound was still working so we had the Cable Guy come out and check all the wiring. He said that the TV was no longer working. Being that NOTHING had happened to it whatsoever, I feel that just under 3 years of usage is not sufficient for a TV that we paid $600 for! I will never purchase this brand again, and I recommend that others are cautious in their purchases.

I am a TV repair technician, and I get called to repair Vizio TVs a lot. Vizio TVs go bad very often due to terrible build quality and manufacturing defects. I wouldn’t care too much, since it gives me plenty of work, except that the build quality is so pathetic, that when you remove the back cover of a Crappio/Vizio, there is a huge risk of damaging the brittle back cover and pissing off a customer. Brittle and cheap build materials are not the only problem... Another problem is the fact that there are hardly any replacement parts available for Vizios.
Since they break down so common, there is a huge shortage of new parts for them... So when I order a new part, there is a 65% chance that it is a defective recycled part from some other set. Vizio TVs are a nightmare for both consumers and repair technicians. Know that Vizio is not some cheap Chinese crap, it’s actually an American company! We produce crappier stuff than the Chinese. Absolutely pathetic.

Blatant panel failure. They extended the one year warranty on other models for the exact same issue. I got a hold of customer service to see if they would extend me the same courtesy. After 3 weeks of 7 different employees telling me that it was physical damage I gave up. If it were physical damage the 3 circles and lines would not be identical. Not even a little bit. No cracks, nothing. The set sat stationary for the year and a half that I owned it.
I don’t know how some people rave about Vizio’s customer service. I guess it’s a lottery. In October 2013, my almost 1 year old flat screen TV E320VP quit... However, Vizio stood behind their product and fixed it free in less than 2 weeks!!! You don't experience customer service like that in this age. So I decided to write an updated review expressing how GREAT this TV is after 5 years. If you are contemplating purchasing a new unit I highly recommend buying Vizio brand. Period.

I purchased a 50 inch Vizio Smart 4K television in late July 2017. By October 2017 the TV started popping and powered off. I turned my TV back on and it was cracked internally. There are vertical lines running down the TV. I called Vizio and emailed photos. I was told the damage was caused by me. I was shocked by the customer service and how they do not stand be behind their products. My TV had not been dropped or fell. I was offered a discount. Why would I buy another Vizio product?

I had purchased Vizio 55" TV M55-C22, I had paid $898 at Best Buy exactly 2 years ago, all of suddenly TV died, screen went blank. Vizio customer service says repair costs more than buying new TV, they want to sell you another VIZIO even at a discounted. It’s not worth the time and the hassle. So if you want your money to go to trash within 2 years, then you go buy. Otherwise STAY AWAY from VIZIO brand altogether.

I bought Vizio E500i-B1 from a store that Vizio claims is not who they sold it to. They refuse to honor my warranty. They gave me their service center who wanted more than what the TV cost to fix it. No one should ever buy a Vizio product. They do not stand behind their products I guess because they know they make inferior products. So I am out the money I paid for a TV that should be still under warranty. Expensive lesson! They want we sucker to only buy from big chain stores and never trust smaller sellers. They want we suckers to ask and see proof the store is buying directly from Vizio. Until when Vizio is the only TV manufacturer left is when I will again consider buying their junk.

I ordered a television directly from Vizio.com on Oct 19. After many wasted hours on calls and emails it is Nov 9 and the item has not been delivered. They blamed me for them having the wrong number, not calling me on the number I gave them over the phone, and them not responding to my emails.

I bought a Vizio P502ui-B1E from Walmart in July 2015. It was very lightly used as we don't have much time to watch. The thing suddenly died while being watched - not powering up at all, even with the reset steps suggested from other websites. I couldn't believe a modern TV could do this in 2 years time - a TV should last at least for 10 years isn't it?

Whenever I had gotten a call from Vizio, I had expected my problem to be resolved. However, I was told that the problem was caused by myself. However, upon research, I had found out that the problem was East West Pincushion Effect where the issue was with manufacturing and not the customer's fault. I was appalled whenever I was told that it was my fault, yet the person on the line had known about the situation lying to me accusing me of the issue. This kind of customer support is absolutely unacceptable, and the company needs to stand behind the prestige of the product, and actually assist the consumer. After this absurd inconvenience, my family and I are never going to purchase any products from VIZIO ever again.

65" TV M65-C1 - Purchased TV in September 2015. TV has no picture. Was informed this evening that it is not under warranty nor is repairable. $1500 investment lost in 25 months. I would never buy a VIZIO product again. I found other customers online that had the same problem as my TV. This problem is across VIZIO lines.

I purchased the Vizio 80" LED TV 3 years ago and it now has a dark spot on the left side of screen. It is out of warranty but I should have lasted longer than this. I do not recommend buying a Vizio because they only work during the warranty period.
