I have 4 Vizio tvs. 2 @ 48 in., one is LCD and the other is a smart LED. One 32 in. and one smaller one for the kitchen. Really like the realistic colors and contrast. Easy to use. Really good value for the price.

We bought a Vizio for our bedroom and the picture is amazing. It is a smart TV so you can also use it for Netflix and has many other online/Internet capabilities. It's unbelievable what televisions can be used for in this day and age. Our overall experience with this brand of television has been positive and it was relatively affordable. It is an LED as opposed to a LCD which makes the picture even better. We needed a larger screen because we don't have the best eyesight, I believe it's a 60 screen. Once again it is a great television for the price, I believe it was under 600 dollars about 3 years ago at Costco.

Very good TV for the price, it is a 32-inch I believe, it was a gift from my husband, so I can watch TV, while taking care of my paralyzed dog. He watches a 60-inch in the living room (I think it is 60-inch) older model, but it also works great. At the time it was over $2,000 and now the same TV goes for around less than $900.

The speaker system is TERRIBLE. I get terrible 'rumblings' and vibrations when any background music is playing and I've looked on the internet and it's a common problem. This applies to all of their TVs and is not relegated to just a particular size. I bought this from BEST BUY and since I didn't buy the extended warranty they want me to pay for any repairs. (I didn't report the problem until one day after the warranty expired.) However there is a factory warranty and since this is only a 32" TV Best Buy said they could send it back to the factory for me but I would pay shipping. Further, they told me that I would not have a TV for 2 to possibly 4 weeks and the same time factor would apply should I elect to pay Best Buy repair. You can look up this problem on the internet. It's well known so in my estimation Best Buy is selling a product with a known problem. DO NOT BUY VIZIO!

I currently own 5 VIZIO TV's, but the older the model, the more features it has like picture in picture, freeze frame, and better sound. Today's TV's like all the other brands of TVs are just really disposable products, but if you are going to buy a new flat screen TV, then I do recommend that you buy a VIZIO, and do get the extended warranty just in case. So far all of my VIZIO TVs are still working fine.

Well If you purchase a flat screen TV, you're gonna land buying some brand, so I bought Vizio. The performance of my Vizio has been barely adequate to keep. It's constantly acting like PC that is slower than Christmas, and it does it, yes always. When I go to the different tier channels, like channels 122 thru say 136, it'll just say "please wait for about 2 minutes" then the channel will kick in. It's not user-friendly with setting it up with all the different bells and whistles, so be Tech Savvy. And probably the thing that jerks my chain the most is sometimes it will not cover the complete picture although it's 1080 which is suppose to be high definition and if the station is transmitting in HD then it should cover the entire picture area.
And last but certainly not least is IF you contact Vizio for Warranty Service, they want proof it's a Vizio TV by asking you to take pictures of the TV exactly when the large V comes on when you first turn it on. If that ain't a bunch of you know, and have the proof when and where you bought it and have a good camera to take your picture of your BIG V when you turn it on. Would I purchase another one, only when pigs fly.

I purchased a Vizio a few years ago. It was the worst TV I ever bought. The problems started about 1 month after. The screen would turn pink, the TV would shut off all the time and we always had to adjust the volume. I called the store we bought it from and I was told I had to call the company. I did, and still no help from them. I purchased an LG and never had any problems. I will never waste my money on a VIZIO TV again.

I own two Vizio's SMART TVs, 42" 3D LCD, and 39" LED. I think the LED version has a slightly better picture. I've owned these for over 2 years with no problems. I wish the SMART TVs had more options to choose from, but Netflix and YouTube work great. Never could figure out how to use the 3D though, which is why I gave it a 3 on features.

I bought the TV a couple years ago and it's worked great for me. But like ANY electronics there are new ones on the market each year. So my advice is to look at the features you need or want then read up on what TV you want to buy. A lot of the (quote) smart TVs have computers built in them and can run off a wireless modem. Another great thing to do is read the warranty from top to bottom and see how long the warranty is for. Personally I don't pay for extended warranties as it just makes the company more money. The way I see it if it works for the warranty period, it will keep working. If you do buy an extended warranty read it from top to bottom again to see what is included, and what the warranty period is. Like I already said, I NEVER pay for an extended warranty as it just takes money out of my pocket. I hope this helps you!

I have three Vizio flat screen HD models purchased over the past 6 years, all are HD 120hz flat screen models of varying size. The first that I purchases was a 47" purchased approximately 6 years ago. We have never had a single issue. I can recall with the TV itself and this TV gets used more than the other two combined. I'd say on average it's been on about 4 hours a day since purchase. Then, we purchased a 42" 120hz model we use in the master bedroom 4 years ago and finally we purchased a 55" 120hz model for our family room about 3 years ago. I have had zero issues with all three of them.
The picture we use is fed from a DirecTV satellite system and the HD quality is as good as any I've seen anywhere else. I have read other reviews that stated the sound system isn't the best on these but because I have severe hearing loss it's a non-factor for me. At any rate, for the price and performance I feel like I make a good decision purchasing three Vizio TVs in a three-year period. Also, we live in a rural area and so TV repairmen are difficult if almost impossible to find unless we purchase from the one local appliance/TV shop. But, knock on wood I have never had a need to call a repairman for any of these TVs.

We have bought three Vizio TV sets within the last two years as I threw an item and accidentally hit my 48". So we bought a 50 or 52" - not sure. Lol! Anyways this new one is thinner but same good picture and quality. So then we decide to buy one for our bedroom since we still had an old style Sanyo from the 90's. This one was on sale and we thought we were getting a great deal. OMG, the picture was so bad that it looked worse than my old one. So please make sure you get the ones that cost a bit more but are worth it and you won't have to return like we did. I think the Vizio smart tv's are the best.

My five-year old Vizio is still a good performer, but the smart apps are disappointing. No updates! There is one issue. At times (once or twice a month), the TV will just turn off and the power indicator will flash for several minutes. Then, the TV turns on automatically. I thought this might be a software update thing, but it doesn't seem to be. I have a less-than-dumb TV, no web browser (no functional browser, that is). I get around the browser problem with Chromecast plugged into and HDMI port. Finally, I was an early adopter, it seems. Comparable TVs today are half the price I paid at Costco.

I received a Vizio Flat Screen TV Mod: D32h-CO as a present. If you are looking straight at the picture it is good (6:00-1200). Say you are sitting at 7:00 or 5:00 to 12:00 reference, the picture has a blue hue to it. I contacted Customer Support and emailed some pictures per their request for evaluation. The customer support contact agreed the picture quality was questionable. I was put on a brief hold for this CS to consult with his department head, I think. The response came back that the tv is designed to be view straight on and not off center. That is the way the Vizio picture is and nothing can be done to fix it. Customer support was very courteous and professional. I am not happy with this quality of tv but it appears it is what it is. I bought a brand new vizio tv at walmart on sept 9. In Mid October it completely stopped working. I was busy at my job and unable to handle the situation immediately so when I called in November they sent someone out to my house. The repair man said the tv could not be fixed. The company then called me and told me they were sending someone to bring me a tv and would take the old one. I asked if this was going to be a new tv and they told me no it was one that was sent back. I told them I wanted a new one and they said because I did not contact them immediately, I was not entitled to a new one. I then asked the person if my warranty on this tv was going to be for a year and she told me it would only be for the length of the time that was left on the tv that stopped working. I told her I wanted a new tv that was what I purchased. She told me to take it or leave it.

I called their tech line and, indeed, after a few suggestions the tech declared it unrepairable. Since it was practically new I asked for a refund from both the retailer and Vizio. Neither would do so.
After I found Vizio on Facebook I posted my problem. They emailed me with an offer of another television for $550 and free shipping. The problem with that was the TV sold for $499.00 with free shipping from several stores. While researching further I found the above offer is standard no matter what the initial purchase cost was and even if it was under warranty. We purchased our 47" screen Vizio in April of '09. To many people this means it's an old tv and should be tossed and purchase another. We do not think along those lines, so when we pay several hundreds of dollars for anything we expect a lot from it. This TV was great until about 2 years ago. When the TV is first turned on, the right half of the screen is not viewable and it takes it from 15 to 20 minutes to "warm up" and work properly. We have been told this is a common problem with this brand. Otherwise it is a great TV. Perhaps they have corrected the problem with newer models. We will not be buying another Vizio as we were told that this is an inexpensive fix for Vizio but they won't. We are living with it until we are forced to make another purchase.

I called Vizio because I was wondering if there is some type of defect since I bought 2 tvs at the same time and having the same problem (assured me there's no defect). Warranty just expired 11/20 and since I bought the tvs from Target on my Redcard they were giving me the run around. Long story short, talked to a representative from Vizio she tells me that "for the inconvenience my manager will offer you 2 tvs for $200". Not one time did she clarify that the tvs were $200 EACH!
So I talked with parents & they're like "yea lets take the deal". Ordered and got confirmation email and see only one tv so I call Vizio, they try to explain that "we MEANT 200 Each for the TV's". Its one thing to say something but Its one thing to say what you mean and they definitely didn't specify what they meant especially when I asked the question more than once of what they meant. I talked to the manager again and he goes to tell me I misunderstood and that was not what he said when he talked to me (talking to me like Im stupid) and he could run the tapes. I told him by all means please do so because I know what I heard and I know didn't hear the word each after $200.
I cut the conversation short with manager after going back & forth not solving anything and told him just to cancel my order because why in the world would I wait 5-7 days for 1 tv to come when I can go to the store buy a better brand tv for a little more!?! Before I was finish talking he hangs up in my face. Lesson learned to not ever deal with Vizio. & I hope they get sued for all their "misunderstandings & unrepairable tvs". The consumer has a right to an expectation of use and should be able to use a brand new product for more than five years! Mine, less than two.
Further, even if I'd had an extended warranty you would have only replaced it with a refurbished set even though it was new. It seems this is their policy no matter the price we paid initially. After reading my review on their Facebook product page, I received an email from the company. They offered me a replacement at a cost of $550 with free shipping. I bought a Vizio 50" TV because of the clear quality of the image and apps included through Wi-Fi. I started having trouble about a month after the purchase. The TV would turn off on its own and then turn back on. After several emails and phone calls to Vizio support their best guess was to cycle the power or reset the TV which involved unplugging it and holding the power button. Not really that technical and a lame attempt at support.
Thinking that this was a cable issue since I moved to a new location and still had the same trouble, I had my cable box replaced and a technician came out twice to troubleshoot. With the cable box replaced and new HDMI cables the problem got worse. Now the TV will come on for about 3 seconds and the light on the power on the bottom left of the TV just fades out. After another troubleshooting call to Vizio they set up to have a replacement sent under warranty. The return policy of the store I bought it from has expired after 90 days or else I would have replaced it with a better brand.
Vizio got the address wrong for our delivery so there is an even further delay in the replacement. It is estimated that I will get the replacement after more than two weeks of placing the order for the warranty replacement. That is ridiculous. With all of the delivery and shipping options I have to wait more than two weeks to have a new TV, not even new but refurbished as my replacement. Now I was already fired up and trying to reassure myself that they would at the very least apologize for not sending one when I had been on the phone two days prior for over half an hour over this issue. Instead I tell "Ashley" that I am Just a little pissed off at the lack of customer service when she interrupts me and tells me to stop the profanity or she is hanging up. My voice was not raised and the "profanity" were the words "pissed off".
I work customer service in the food industry and I have heard some severe profanity over a less than $5 sandwich and I have always kept the proper respect level between myself and the customer. My point: I wasn't a chump change customer and if this is the way they handle their customer complaints I have absolutely no respect for them as a company. My warranty will be picked up by Wal-mart in March so you better believe I called and explained the issue with them. Was the lady in the electronic department rude considering she had no stake in this? Nope. Sweet as a button and extremely helpful. If you're in the market for a smart TV I suggest you don't go with Vizio! And make sure you call around and see if the money you're spending as a customer is going to be respected by the company you're purchasing from!

We purchased our 50" Smart TV from Walmart in Bham for my boyfriend to use during the baseball season. I noticed that once in a while it just went black - no sound, no picture. Turn off and back on - ok. Then after the season ended we moved the TV back home to Chattanooga with no problems for a month. Then it went out and would not come back on. Numerous calls to Vizio - turn off, turn on, reset, etc. then CS rep said it was a bad HDMI cord. This setup is less than 3 months old but we turned it around. Lo and behold, our UVerse doesn't use an HDMI connection.
But after having it off for an entire day, voila, it came back to life. That was 3 weeks ago and Boom! Happened again. Turned it off for 15 mins and its back. We figure it will keep up this hassle until the warranty expires. Then it won't come back on ever. Never buy another!!! I will stick with LG, never had a better TV than our 2003 32" LG we purchased for our living room - now our bedroom TV.

I purchased a Vizio 55" smart TV 3 years ago. Recently my tuner expired and the only solution is to purchase a new main board. Called Vizio for help. Requested product number, availability, and (hopefully) assistance with offsetting the cost of repair. They said they did not carry the part and recommended a supplier. I contacted the supplier who did not carry the part. In most cases the part was out of stock or so overpriced it was not worth the repair. I connected back to Vizio to obtain a part number, and they said they could not help and would not provide me with a part number so that I could continue my search for the part.
In summary, expensive TV that lasted 3 years, no means of finding an affordable part, no means of finding a used or replacement part for lack of a part number, not worth the expense of repairing, and Vizio refusing to provide any support or good faith contribution to a valued customer. An expensive TV, used minimally, and expiring after 3 years? Seriously? I anticipate that this will be the last Vizio TV I will ever purchase.

Hello. I am the very unfortunate sucker who was dumb enough to let Vizio take my money not once but twice! The first TV was a 42 inch Vizio from back when they were first getting popular and I paid about $850 for it. About 14 months after I purchased it the screen went out and it would just flicker and flash! I called Vizio and they said it wasn't under warranty so it was my problem! In spite of this I figured you know what this was just a random bad TV and I bought another 42 inch and it actually worked fine. So then I ended up upgrading on April 1, 2013. I got a 60 inch E601 series set. About 8 months ago I noticed a small black spot like a cloudy area on the screen! I thought maybe it was the signal and it turned out not to be and it keeps getting larger and larger! Now it is about the size of a grapefruit!
I called Vizio months ago and they told me to do all the signal tests and such and get my receipt and take pictures of the problem and email it to them. Well I called today and they said sorry no extended warranty then it's unrepairable but we will sell you a new one for 680 bucks! So I guess the lesson to be learned here is that VIZIO IS A DISPOSABLE TELEVISION THAT YOU HAVE TO REPLACE EVERY 2 YEARS OR LESS! SO IF YOU WANT TO SPEND 400 OR 500 DOLLARS every year on a television get yourself a Vizio! They couldn't care less about their television quality or their customers!
Selling me not 1 but 2 bad television sets is not a coincidence. It's blatantly in your customer's face! I hope people read this before purchasing a Vizio and learn from my horrible choices. Oh and I included my tv serial number below. It was out of the range for the recall on the Vizio E601i-A3 models! It was made right after those models so they fixed the problem! NOT! I didn't include my receipt because the only copy I have is in a bank statement and I'm not posting that information here.

Now, however, the apps are poor compared with new models. Some don't work at all, such as YouTube. I think this is related to the microprocessor chip that manages the apps. In new TV's, you get an actual web browser. The browser offered by Vizio was part of a software update in 2012 and is literally dysfunctional and unusable by mere mortals. The company has not updated apps in a long time, very disappointing.
Most of the offered apps are junk. Let's be clear: with a 55" full HDTV screen, we want to surf the web, engage in e-commerce at Amazon, read news, make Skype calls, view YouTubes and Vimeos, update Facebook and LinkedIn, attend Go-to-Meetings, conduct research etc. etc. The TV itself is excellent. Update frequency of 240Hz makes for smooth moving imagery. Colors are great and brightness remains strong. This model uses matrices of LED backlights and the whole thing works really well. Great picture, always stable.
At times, the TV will power itself off with no warning, then stay off for several minutes, then power back on. No control over this. I've always assumed this was a software update, but can't prove it. When it happens in the middle of an important show or game, it's not appreciated. Setup should have offered a scheduler program to avoid the problems. Today's Vizio equivalent is priced half as high. I should have waited...
