This was my first experience using Zenni. I was extremely impressed. The frames and lenses are quality and very affordable. I expected additional costs, like you would accrue at a eye doctor's office. None. I actually got a entire pair of frames and lenses, case, protective coating and shipped for less than $50. The order arrived quickly as well. I would recommend Zenni to anyone purchasing new frames and lenses.

I have placed at least a half dozen orders with Zenni and they have all been good experiences. Even a return experience I had at one point was a good one. Most recently, I ordered a pair of subscription sunglasses and honestly, I couldn't be happier. Zenni, you're the best.

I was happy to find an affordable online source to order both prescription and blue light blocking glasses. I pick out frames, chose my lenses and options. During check out I selected express shipping as I really needed my order ASAP. Unfortunately, my order was “lost” with no tracking number supplied, and I made numerous calls to customer service to a) get updates b) request refund on express shipping fees.
I was refunded for the express shipping charges, which is appreciated. However on receipt of my order nearly one month after purchase, I am disappointed with the quality of my frames and lenses. The glasses themselves seem flimsy, the fit isn’t quite right based on my measurements provided, and the whole experience was more frustrating than it should have been. It is unlikely that I will order again considering all of the above.

Moreover, we were sorry to read that you are displeased with the glasses from the subsequent order, which we made for you after the first one was lost. Insofar as we already refunded the $15.95 Express shipping fee after your initial order was lost, we are asking our lab to refund to your credit card the amount you spent on the glasses, $48.51. You will not have to send the glasses back to us. You should receive an email later tonight from our lab confirming the refund with a transaction number. Again, we are sorry that this experience was unsatisfactory for you, and we hope that one day you will give Zenni Optical another opportunity to make glasses for you.

I absolutely love Zenni optical. I’ve made multiple orders and plan on continuing to use Zenni any time I need glasses. I’m a delivery driver for amazon so as you can imagine my glasses get used all day every day. I’m constantly switching between looking at a screen and looking at the road and I’ve never had a problem. I got sunglasses and regular glasses. I rarely need to use my sunglasses because the transitions lenses are AMAZING. I’ve converted my husband to Zenni optical from target optical- we bought his glasses for not even $20 when his Oakley’s cost him well over $400 for the same style- the only difference was the Oakley name. I recommend zenni to anyone and everyone looking for glasses and they’re never disappointed - even when they think they’re going to hate them (because they don’t like glasses) they’ve always been impressed and “don’t hate them as much as they thought they would”. 10/10 Zenni is killing it.

I was very satisfied with the speed of my order & the quality of the items. A coworker recommended this site to me, and despite my hesitation at first, I ordered 2 pairs of glasses! They fit my face & I was able to view what they would look like on my face through the website prior to ordering them. Will be using this site again in the future.

I am very happy with both of my orders from Zenni. Orders came quickly, and everything was correct. I didn't have to do any adjusting. Just started wearing them. I bought 3 pair for less than it would of cost me for one pair at an optometrist office.

They are a cheaper cost. They are a cheaper glasses. I like them but they are nowhere near the quality of any other glasses I've owned. They are hard to know fit on the website. The arms are crazy long and stick out past my hair and most places won't adjust them because they are Zenni.

We are also sorry that the temple arms are longer than you prefer, and that you did not know how to determine the size of the frames on our website. Therefore, we apologize for any dismay you experienced regarding these matters. Moreover, we would like to provide some information we hope will be helpful. Under the enlarged picture of a frame on our website, we list the dimensions of each element of the frame. Your frame 128218, with red front rims, has black temple arms that are 144 millimeters long. Your brown frame, 125415, has 142 mm temple arms. These are embedded with stainless steel rods, which make the temple arms easy for a customer to adjust. The red frame does not appear to have the stainless steel rods embedded in the temple arms, but you can bend the temple tips (the part that starts at the bend over your ear) up or down, or in or out, and if you run warm tap water over the part you want to bend for 30 seconds to a minute, this will soften the temple arms to make them easier to bend. We have ordered from Zenni over and over again for our family’s eye glasses needs. Their glasses are extremely affordable and very nice quality. I even add on options to insure the best quality, anti-glare experience and they are STILL inexpensive. We typically spend under 30.00 including shipping! Our order always come before the suggested date and they are packaged very well.

The fit is perfect as the prescription is for all of your family members. I even had my eye doctor check and the prescription is dead on to what they write it for. I will never get glasses from an ophthalmologists again! Thanks for making wearing glasses affordable and stylish for my family! Also if you have to call, they are able to help out as well! Shipping was pretty fast as well.

Glasses are just ok, wish the lens were progressive and a higher quality material. They look pretty nice, but you can tell they are cheap. Using them daily and will probably get another pair, but not my all time favorite. You get what you pay for...

I was nervous about trying to order eyeglasses online since I had never done so, and have been wearing eyeglasses since childhood. I had just been to my eye dr. and had new eyeglasses, but as usual, liked my new specs, but wasn't in love with them. I had seen ads for ordering online when Zenni came across my online feed, so I began exploring. I loved the ease of filtering eyeglass frames to meet my specific needs as I shopped so I did not pick glasses that I could wear b/c of my rx. I was nervous about getting my rx filled in correctly so I carefully reviewed the return policy which definitely eased my mind. Lastly, I was anxious to pay money to this unknown company for somethng so important to me, but I had to try it, and I have been very pleased. My only slight issue was with the color of my frames, as they were advertised as Black and White, but are definitely brown and white, but I still love them. :)

My toddler has poor vision and her prescription is continously changing as she grows and is able to communicate better each time. This could have been costly and stressful for me but with Zenni, I'm just excited to try different colors and styles for both of us!!

I created an account with Zenni in February and I have the proof of that from my Firefox Browser. I started saving favorites to purchase glasses at a later date. I tried to log into my account on 10/4/19 and was told my account did not exist. Cleared my cookies, made sure my browser and IOS system was up to date. Tried again, no account. Tried to create an account with same email and have the screenshot that shows "account already exists". My husband could not log into the account from his computer. So I created another account with a different email address and ordered a pair of glasses.
During this time I am trying to work with customer service. Zenni outsources customer service to a 3rd party called TTEC. The reps I had contact with were in China and the Philippines. They do their best to help but it's obvious they have been poorly trained and have no authority. So I cancelled my order and received email confirmation. My money is refunded. Then I get an email saying my order is being processed. I check my account and the order has not been cancelled... I have been an identity theft victim since 2014 when my social security number was stolen in an IRS security beach. I deal with repeated identity attempts every year. Zenni sent a promotional email to the account they say doesn't exist. I had to file a complaint with the FTC to protect myself. There's a reason the glasses are so cheap. I have emails and screenshots to prove all of this.

I've ordered five times from Zenni Optical and a couple of them were mistakes on my part. I couldn't even use them because I did that thing between the two pupils. The last one that I ordered, they're just way too big. You can't tell what you're buying from Zenni. You can't put them on, make sure that they fit. That's the only complaint. But other than that, for the price, they're good. The quality is good as well. Ordering has also been very easy. One time, I got a pair that wasn't quite right, and it wasn't my fault, and they took it back right away. They're a good company they're easy to work with.

I have ordered bifocals and more than a dozen glasses from Zenni over the years. I also bought for my niece and she didn't have much of a correction. I just paid for the frames and the glasses were $9.95. They are totally inexpensive. I can order five pairs of glasses for what I can get them anywhere else for the same price. I ordered for my sisters and they ordered online too. The website is easy to use. When I spoke to their rep for my first order, they were very helpful.

The quality of the glasses is a little below the price you pay. All my glasses lenses are chipped, the frame become wobbly very fast. I kept ordering because it is easy, until my last two orders. I am legally blind, so I had someone fill in my orders and all was fine. The last prescription glasses came without the feature of darkening in the sun. I have Stargardt syndrome so this is mandatory, not a nice feature. I complained to Zenni and sent a picture of two pairs, one dark in the sun, the other not. They replied that I received what I ordered, which I know is not true since all I do is "repeat" the previous order. No argument made them empathic, rather they became very rude.
I however tried to order again with the "repeat" option. Now, a message pops up saying that SOME features are no longer available... I called, to ask for help; was put on music for a pretend 2 min wait. After 5 minutes, the communication simply cut off. It was a week day during opening hours. I am not very upset for being treated that way. I am a repeat customer but did not get any help, but rather was mistreated. I am not going to a better service with glasses which hopefully will last longer so that I don't have to keep buying every three months or so.

We were sorry to learn that the lenses have chipped, and that the half-rim red frame, 911018, which you selected on all four of your orders, becomes wobbly. We want to confirm that we have a 30-day warranty period on our glasses, which begins the day the glasses are delivered. Your most recent order was placed on January 22, 2018, a year and nine months past the warranty period. We also want to advise that if you contact us during the 30-day warranty period to advise that you are having an issue with an eyeglasses frame, we can send you a free replacement frame. After this period, you may go onto our website to order a frame only, at half price. We were also sorry to learn that you have Stargardt disease, and we want to express our sympathy regarding this form of macular dystrophy. However, we are also sorry to confirm that, while you ordered a 1.57 mid-index photochromic lens that turns brown in the bright sunlight on your first three orders, placed in June 2016, May 2017, and November 2017, on your January 2018 order you selected a clear 1.50 standard-index lens, which is free. On this order, you paid $15.95 for the frame and $4.95 for the anti-reflective coating. We also want to confirm that, in response to issues with the quality of the lens and the photochromic tint, in December 2017 we discontinued the 1.57 mid-index photochromic lens. We recommend that customers who previously selected this lens now select the 1.61 high-index single-vision photochromic lens, which comes in gray or amber. We trust that this clarifies these matters to your satisfaction. I waited as long as possible to get glasses, but I definitely needed them. I purchased a name brand pair with my insurance. They were awesome, but I lost them within weeks. Having already used my insurance, I bought a more affordable pair from Zenni. I used the exact same prescription that I had with my glasses that I lost. When I got them, I immediately noticed that they were different from my first glasses with the same script. To start with, the transition between "transitions" was really noticeable. Not so much with my first pair. Worse than that though, is that I see worse long distance with the glasses on than off. My first pair definitely helped me see long distance. In the end, the pair of Zenni's that I have are pretty much useless.

First, since you mentioned in your Chat session with our representative that you believed that you ordered UV protection, we want to clarify that UV protection comes free on every pair of glasses we make. It is not something that a customer can order separately. In addition, on your first pair of glasses, you selected a permanent, red fashion tint, not a photochromic Transitions® tint, which darkens the lenses when they are exposed to bright sunlight and makes them clear again when the glasses are out of the sun. This feature works best on a cold, sunny day. We issued a 100 percent store credit refund to your Zenni Optical account in the amount of the price of the glasses on your first order and refunded to your credit card the amount you spent on the second pair of glasses when we issued this store credit, on September 24, 2019. You emailed us a copy of the prescription you received from your eye doctor, which shows that the OD (right eye) Cylinder value is -1.25, not -0.25, as you entered it on the first two orders. Of course, we are also sorry for any confusion you experienced as a result. We emailed you instructions to return these glasses to receive a 50 percent refund to the credit card that was the original source of payment, and when we receive these glasses, we will issue this refund to your credit card. We see that you placed a new order on October 7, 2019, with the correct prescription, and in the same frame, 2012421, you selected for each order. We are pleased that you like this frame, and we hope that you are satisfied with this pair of glasses when you receive them. I purchased a pair of glasses for my daughter 11 months ago. They were a minimal prescription so she was only supposed to wear them in limited circumstances (movies, seeing the blackboard if she was in the back of the class, etc). This was her first pair of glasses and she was told it may take some adjusting to get used to them. She wore them as prescribed for a while, but never seemed to get used to them. She said they made her feel nauseous and that they didn't help. Yesterday she went back to the ophthalmologist and we brought the glasses. The ophthalmologist said the glasses were incorrectly made! She said the pupillary distance was way off (was supposed to be 56 and was 70) and that one of the lenses wasn't centered properly!
I called customer service and told them what the ophthalmologist said, but they refused to help in any way since it was past their 30 day window. I know it was out of Zenni's "window", but neither the agent nor the supervisor seemed to care that the quality control was so poor and that it was a child's first pair of glasses so it was not apparent to my daughter or myself that that it was a problem with the way the glasses were made. My bad not to consider that the glasses were made incorrectly and that she was not going to adjust to them, but really? Not to even offer to evaluate the glasses and see their error? The best the supervisor would do was offer me 15% off another pair!! Really? Why would I order another pair from them? The lack of customer service is one thing, but not to even care about their quality is pathetic.

My family and I are pretty much glasses collectors. We always lose or break our glasses. We heard a lot of good things about Zenni and we decided to order from them. We did it all online and it was really cheap to get glasses from there. Their website was really easy to navigate, and it had a really good display of what kind of glasses there were. So, we really got to know what the fit would be like and things like that. My glasses arrived already and they work perfectly.

On May 2, 2019, we ordered glasses for my Mom, she then passed away on May 7, 2019. When the glasses arrived I called customer service and then they were very helpful. I was able to return the glasses and receive a store credit which I will use. I do and have recommended Zenni to many of my friends and relatives. Thank you for your excellent glasses and superior customer service.

My mom ordered through Zenni years ago. This is the first time I've ordered prescription from them but I've ordered from them a pair of regular glasses with magnetic clip-on. However, I had a problem with them and Zenni replaced them. And then I had a problem with the second pair and so they gave me a credit. And then, I had a problem with another pair. I have one pair that doesn’t have any coating at all on them and it doesn’t do it. It’s great. But the other ones all ended up with what looked like scratches from a certain angle, almost like they were scratched with fine sandpaper. It’s a weird thing.
I take them off my face and put them directly in the case, so I know they’re not really scratches. It’s some kind of defect with the coating. I sent some picture to the Zenni customer service agent that I was working with on my other pair, so she was able to see them. I was refunded on the sunglass pair. I know now to make sure that there are no coatings on them whatsoever when I order. I'd recommend Zenni to a friend, but I'd also say, “Make sure you get them with no coating.”

This was the 4th order I've had through Zenni. The shipping was quick and easy to track. Glasses fit well. Prescription was accurate. The color is more bright blue than navy, which would be my only complaint. I have contacted customer service on previous orders and they have been very helpful, so I am sure if I had called them about the color, it would have been dealt with.

A friend of mine told me she had ordered her glasses from Zenni. Their website is very user-friendly. I like that there were so many styles, and that they were so much cheaper than at another eyeglass place I know. I got a full-rim glasses and it just works better on my face. Purchasing from Zenni works very well, and the glasses are just high-quality like those one would buy at the store.

I purchased glasses from Zenni twice and twice I was disappointed. The first time my glasses came in and they were made incorrectly, I excused it because of the cheap price. I ended up giving it another shot and I purchased a more expensive pair. Even though I had sent in my Doctor's prescription and had all the right information the glasses were still made incorrectly. The company refuses to refund you the money even if it was their mistake. They are only willing to give back 50% and completely ignore my questions via email. I asked for a manager and they just keep leaving voicemails telling me I will get back 50% and no more. This company has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

Since there are no notes in the database record of this order indicating that you contacted us about these glasses, we are sorry that, although you were unsatisfied with them, we did not hear from you about them until you experienced issues with the glasses you ordered in August 2019. Consequently, we apologize for any dissatisfaction you experienced regarding both orders. Even though our inspection of the glasses from the August order found that they were manufactured correctly, because you could not see well with them, we will make a customer service exception to fully refund this purchase, $55.26. Our lab, which processes refunds, is closed until Friday, October 4, 2019, for regular maintenance. I originally bought a 39 Dollar Glasses six years ago on the internet, and the trouble was they could not fill my prescription again because it had changed and Zenni Optical could. Also, I bought two pairs of glasses, one from EyeBuyDirect and one from Zenni Optical. And I'm having trouble with the EyeBuyDirect ones because the lenses aren’t right, but Zenni's is right on. They're very good so I'm ordering another pair with no tinting on it.
Zenni's website is good. The only problem is I got an older computer and I don’t have a camera on it. I like the virtual try-on on the other site where I could download a picture and see what I looked like with the glasses, while Zenni's site only had the virtual picture. So, I bought glasses strictly by size, based on the measurement of the lens and the frame width. Still, I'm very satisfied with them and my experience has been very good.

Having 3 people in the family that wear glasses can be expensive especially with two teenagers who are picky and want the coolest frames. Zenni has definitely changed the way we view ordering glasses. They have so many frames at such an affordable price that we all have multiple pairs now. It's always nice to get new cute glasses. Prescription sunglasses were used to be too much for me to even consider getting them but since I discovered Zenni I now have a super cute pair. I require a very strong prescription and have been nothing but pleased with all lenses I have got from them. I have honestly referred Zenni to all my friends and family.

They emailed me 4 days after I ordered to tell me the frames I picked would not work for my PD unless I paid $9 extra. I asked them to just cancel. 24 hours later still not seeing the cancellation in my Zenni account. Called customer service. They were in another country, barely spoke English and did nothing to resolve my complaint. Order still not showing as cancelled. Had to stop payment through my credit card company. Glasses are made in China. Customer service is in the Philippines.

Two days later, not having gotten a response to our September 25, 2019, email, we emailed you again. On this date you emailed us to advise that you would prefer to cancel this pair of glasses (a pair of progressive glasses is also on this order) than pay an additional $9.00. On September 28, 2019, we emailed you to advise that we refunded the price of the single-vision reading glasses, $37.90, to the credit card you used to place the order. When we telephoned you as well on this date, you advised that you wanted the entire order canceled. On this same date, we issued a request to our lab to fully cancel the order and refund the full amount you paid, $115.75, to the credit card. A perusal of the database record of the order shows that the price of the single-vision reading glasses was refunded, but there is no indication that the full refund has yet been processed. This may be because these matters have occurred during a period in which the lab, which processes refunds and store credits, is closed for regular maintenance. We will again request that our lab refund the price of the progressive pair of glasses, $72.90, and the $4.95 shipping fee. Insofar as the maintenance period for the lab extends through Friday, October 4, 2019, we are sorry if the refund may not be processed until then, but we hope that the lab has received the request and will issue the refund sooner. We hope that, when the full price of this order has been refunded, this matter will be resolved to your satisfaction, and that one day you will place a new order with Zenni Optical. There was nothing right about these glasses I purchased in January 2019, maybe the prescription would have been fine had they stayed where they belonged on my face and not on the floor. Just ordered a replacement frame (the original broke after one too many spills to the floor). Hopefully they will hold me over till I can buy a real pair of glasses. Keep in mind no eyeglass store will correct the fitting of these online purchased glasses. You call for assistance for fitting and they talk over you rushing you through the call. Definitely not quality employees or products. Spend the $400.00 + at Pearl Vision and unless the dog chews them, you are good to go till you need a new prescription.

I needed some new glasses. I was looking for cheaper eyeglasses and when I was looking at reviews, I came across Zenni Optical. It was really nice to be able to look at other consumers who bought the same glasses and see what they look like on other people. And so, I took in all the information then I got all my prescription information put in and thought I’d give Zenni a try. Their website was pretty self-explanatory and easy to use. And I loved the glasses that I ordered from them. Everything went wonderfully with Zenni and I was very pleased with my experience. I have also referred them to about 10 different people.

For the past 15 years, my experience with optometrists has been a less than stellar experience. The last two times, I've had to return to have my eyes reexamined to obtain the correct prescription however, the worst part was working with their staff to measure my pupil distance (PD). In both cases the PD was incorrectly measured, which is a significant issue for progressive lenses. Since my prescription was still fine, I decided to try an online site for my next pair of glasses. After much research, I chose Zenni, which was one of the most highly rated.
Once on their site, I began with frame selection by looking at the frames that were recommended for progressive lenses and was pleased to find that there were several to choose from. My face is round, so I look best in rectangular frames, which narrowed the options, but there were still several to choose from. I uploaded a selfie, which was a simple process, and tried them all on. I selected the Titanium frame in brown, since I have a ruddy complexion. As mentioned previously, the PD is one of the most important measurements for progressive lenses, so I downloaded and printed the measuring tool, and put a credit card on the sheet to ensure the scale was correct, which it was.
My last measurement from the Optometrist was 70.0 mm, evenly distributed between right and left eye (35 mm each side); however, I me measured 68.5 mm in the mirror, so I asked my wife to take a measurement and she also measured 68.5 mm. We then put a dot on my forehead exactly in the center of the bridge of my nose and measured the distance to each pupil; 35 mm Right eye, 33.5 mm Left eye. The question that ran through my mind was, which measurement was was correct; the optometrist used a high-tech PD machine and I used a paper ruler. What I was sure of was that my current glasses had a problem, because I had to adjust my frame so far right that the frame was touching the left side of my nose--looked very strange! Next step was to enter the prescription and the Dual PD, place the order and hope for the best, knowing that Zenni would work with me to get it right if the glasses were not satisfactory, per their guarantee.
I opted for standard shipping and received the glasses in less than the stated time. Upon receipt, I put the glasses on and to my utmost surprise the frames fit perfectly, were very light, and the progressive lenses worked as prescribed--corrective vision at its best. I ordered the 1.67 Blokz Digital Free Form Progressive lenses and have seamless progression from reading to distance vision. In the past, there were always gaps at some distance, which caused me to physically move to see what I needed to see. I am very satisfied with my Zennis and highly recommend them. I followed the intuitive Zenni directions and came out on the winning side of the eyeglass debacle--no need to spend four times more than you need to; trust the process and you'll be very satisfied. I ordered a pair of glasses in May, 2019. Lenses were ok, frames are junk. Lasted 3 1/2 months and fell apart, not abused, just the worst frames I have seen. Checked warranty, only good for 30 days, guess they know they are selling junk.

My experience with Zenni was really good. My glasses are looking great. My aunt had gotten glasses from there. I lost mine and it got broken and I didn't wanna go back and get something, so I just used Zenni. Ordering from them was faster than what I hoped to get. I ordered one pair and then I ordered two for my grandma because she couldn't figure out how to do it. Zenni's website was really easy to use, and how to order was really straightforward.

I've ordered several pairs of glasses from this company without issue. On 7/21/19, I ordered another pair of glasses that I had previously ordered with the exact same prescription. It is now 9/20/19 and they have incorrectly made my glasses three times. They keep telling me to check my prescription with my eye doctor or to make sure the information was entered correctly. This is not the issue. It gets fairly aggravating when they attempt to pass the buck and not own their repeated mistakes. They will only offer to remake the glasses or give me store credit less the shipping fees... Does anyone else this this is unacceptable?

I was very disappointed with Zenni Optical. Despite being given the correct prescription to correct my eyesight, the glasses that arrived from Zenni were hopelessly inadequate. One lens was good and sharp, but the other lens was very hazy indeed - I could not see at all clearly through it, whether in terms of distance vision or close vision (my glasses are bifocal). Everything was blurred! So I had to go to another optician, who told me that the prescription I sent Zenni was correct, but that Zenni had obviously misread the astigmatism factor. The upshot is that I’ve had to spend another $500 on lenses through a local optician and now have good glasses - but I’ve learnt a bitter lesson! CAVEAT EMPTOR! NO TO ZENNI!!!!

Ordered some prescription sunglasses with the works. They are polarized in amber, mirrored blue finish, and have engraved sides. I absolutely love them??? My only issue is the frames fit your head so closely they fog up with sweat but it’s really not a huge deal.

My sister-in-law started buying glasses from Zenni Optical, and they were cute. I was like, “Oh, I can use some more glasses. I don’t mind ordering.” I then ordered and the experience was really easy. I liked that I could upload my picture and see what the glasses look like on my face, because I have a weird-shaped head and I feel like I need a certain type of frame to look good on my face. Also, there are so many options in styles and shapes. There was a huge variety for me to pick from, so I was excited about that. The quantity was definitely plentiful and there was not one second that I didn’t say, “Oh, I probably shouldn’t have six pairs of glasses in my cart right now.” I could see that that was outside of my lifestyle.
Zenni sent me 3 pairs of glasses. However, I accidentally typed in the wrong prescription the first time. I obviously couldn’t see anything out of the glasses ‘cause they were wrong so I had to email them about it. They let me ship them back and then they credited my account so I could order them again with the right prescription. It was really fast and I was also really grateful for that. Of the 3 pairs of glasses I have, one pair felt like they lost their shapes fairly quickly and they’re really loose on my head, so I will definitely touch base with them and see if they can switch it out for me. The other 2 pairs, on the other hand, have fairly good quality.

A friend from Ohio told me about Zenni and seeing the price points on the glasses pretty much sold me to also buy from them. I’m very impressed with how quickly they get the orders out. Even prescription glasses that you go into the optometrist take two to three weeks to make, then you have to go in and see if it will fit you. But my orders from Zenni come in a couple of days less time and they always seemed to fit fine.
So far, I ordered two pairs of glasses for me and I really like them. Later on, I ordered two pairs of glasses for my daughter but I have an issue with that order and I never called about it because it was on a $17 pair of glasses. The frames broke within a week, so that was a little disappointing, but that’s the only one that that’s happened to. Other than that, I bought my first pair about a year ago which have clear lenses and I still have them. Then, I wanted to try using prescription sunglasses, but I saw that you could change just the lenses and you don’t have to get the actual sunglasses section. So, I did that and I got a pink color in there. They’re really cool.

Glasses fit fine. They are cute and well made. The problem I'd I've never worn them because it's no different than no glasses. Like just glass and no lens. I'm sure that's not possible, but I don't see any differently. I've only worn reading glasses before so I don't know what a script for glasses is supposed to look like or what to do about it. But they are nothing but decoration at this point. Please help.

I ordered my glasses with an inscription on the ear piece. When I got the glasses the inscription was spelled wrong even though the email I sent with the correct spelling was received by the appropriate people. A replacement was offered but with no lenses. I would need to "pop the lenses out" of the first pair into the 2nd pair. I have yet to receive the 2nd pair. It's been almost 2 weeks.

I accidentally ordered a transition lens and I called customer service to see if I could exchange them. This was 100% my own fault - nothing wrong with the glasses - and not only was the phone answered by a real person very quickly they let me send the glasses back, issues a credit and let me reorder the glasses with the lenses I preferred. I ordered glasses for my SO to help out because he works long hours. He has to have a larger frame, so I was worried about how well the product would fit... he says they are perfect! The optometrist didn’t include his pupillary distance on the script so we had to try and figure that out ourselves, but it turned out just right. He works in harsh conditions at times, and we have five kids, and these glasses have really held up. We’re very impressed with the product! Especially for the cost. Will definitely buy from here again!

I ordered glasses w/ clip-on shades. Came as expected. The shades are excellent fit and easy to use. I accidentally broke my shades. All I had to do was sign into my account, find my order and reorder an clip-on replacement. I've received compliments on my glasses as well as how nice and natural my shades look. Looks like regular sunglasses, not clip-ons.

I ordered prescription glasses and sunglasses, the sunglasses were crap. Could see glue around the edge of the lens and I paid for dark gray but it came with a green oil spill look. Very disappointed in the quality. I was so excited to have sunglasses for the first time as well.

When I started looking at Zenni's glasses, I could not believe the great prices and the cute glasses they had. So I started ordering. Now, I’ve been a customer for about four years and I tell everybody to order from there. My experience with them has been wonderful. I’ve been able to afford glasses that I was not able to afford in the past. I am also able to have multiple pairs of glasses for different events and different outfits because they’re so affordable. And they’re wonderful too. They’ve never broken and nothing has ever happened to them.

I received my sunglasses just over a month ago. Last week one of the lenses popped out (the screw is still attached to the frame) and I lost it. When I called Zenni to get a replacement lens, they informed me that they do not have a lens-replacement-only service. I've purchased several other glasses from them and have been satisfied with their service—I've even let others know by word-of-mouth and on Facebook. But, this lack of having a service to replace a lens, has me taking a step back and reconsidering ordering another pair from them. I understand that they are in the business to sell whole glasses, if it was my business, I would have a service to take care of customers in my situation.

I was more than pleasantly surprised with the quality, timing, and price of my single vision glasses. Great product and price. Getting through the "try on" process took some getting used to, but was pleased with the results. Purchased titanium frame and higher index lenses. Arguably the best, clearest, lightest spectacles ever owned. I can't complain, but rather laud the company, product, and experience. Will definitely return.

I like to change glasses a lot depending on what I’m wearing, and Zenni is more affordable. I couldn’t afford to switch glasses a lot with like going to the optometrist. I've been using Zenni since 2014. I have always had a really good experience. I can see out of the glasses fine, and I really like the blue blocker lenses. I usually do the free shipping, and it takes two weeks max.
I contacted Zenni’s customer service with a question recently because while I was waiting for my new pair of glasses, I lost my old pair. And so, I wanted to see if I could upgrade my shipping, but they had already shipped. They were super professional. They explained to me why they couldn’t help me with the particular issue, and they were also very reassuring. They were honest with me because I was asking like how long the shipping will take. I asked if it would be faster for me to order another pair of glasses, and they were like, “No, don’t do that ‘cause yours will be there in just a couple of days.” So, they weren’t trying to get more money out of me even though I was offering to buy another pair of glasses.

I ordered a pair of progressive lens from Zenni and was not happy with them at all. I tried and tried to get used to them. So eventually, I contacted Zenni about the problems I was having with the progressive lens. I was helped by a very informed and patient customer service representative, explaining the "problems" I was having with the progressive lens was normal. I thought I should just keep them and it would be my loss. But, no, Zenni offered a one time credit so that I could order bifocal lens. I love my bifocal lens and have had no problem with them. I was so grateful Zenni wanted me to be a satisfied customer. I appreciated their help and patience. Thank you again Zenni!

Ok so I convince my boyfriend that I would order glasses from here. We have never ordered glasses online. We were scared. Everything went well but the frames broke within the year. We would repair it with superglue but they were a goner pair. The part that kept breaking were the part that goes around the ear. So I ordered the glasses on 11/08/2018 and hasn’t even been a year. I should of email them but I doubt they would send me a new one because it had been a long while we had them. So I’m gonna give them another try I recently order two pair of glasses one are sunglasses. Finger crossed. And I made sure they were different kind of frames too. But my first experience was not good.

I liked the frames I saw on Zenni Optical and wanted to buy some. Their site said 30% off on Premium Sunglasses so I spent the time looking and choosing. But in using their 3D TRY ON feature - it didn't work right. The glasses looked huge, plus my eyes were in the wrong place. I called customer service and was on for more than an hour - they told me I could delete the 3D TRY ON and do it again. But my computer had NO PLACE TO DELETE IT and NO TRASH CAN. I refreshed the browser over and over, but it never worked. After an hour, I gave up on the TRY ON feature. Then, I was going to buy Premium Sunglasses at the 30% DISCOUNT advertised on the site -- it WOULD NOT take the 30% discount. I tried the live chat - which was also no help. He offered me 10% OFF.
I wanted 30% like the site advertised. After spending almost 3 hours of my day - choosing glasses, filling in their forms, talking to customer service and live chatting with them -- I couldn't get any satisfaction. I have bought from other online glasses companies - and it was simple. Much better and these other companies take returns and give you a full refund if you don't like the glasses! Zenni doesn't - and I shudder to think of the trouble it would be if the glasses are wrong or don't fit. I was sooo disappointed with Zenni. Even though they have nice frames, their site didn't work and their customer service is no service at all. Verrry disappointing.

Updated on 10/09/2019: Progressives unwearable because I had to move my head down excessively in order to use the far distance portion of the lenses. Zenni said I'd need to move up from 33mm-high lenses to lenses that were 35-37mm in height. Since I had used a store credit, I has to get a 50% refund, or keep the 33mm lenses. After complaining, I was offered a coupon to use on a new set after receiving the 50% refund. New 36mm lenses still had the same issue (excessive head movement o use far distance portion of lenses), so I'm pretty much stuck. They are on the shelf while I continue to use my old glasses that are 3 years old.
Also, photochromic lenses are a joke; my 3-year old transitions get way darker than these do. In sunlight, I had to shade my eyes with the photochromic; not so with the transitions. In short, I have glasses that are difficult to use for far distance, lenses that are too big (Zenni's recommendation), photochromic lenses that only get 5% darker and no way to get a refund or store credit. Lesson learned...won't shop here again.
Original review: Must tilt head down 3 in. for medium & far distance viewing, edges are blurry. Zenni will only refund 50%, will not give me store credit. I just want a different frame, as current frame is unusable for me. Cannot recommend using Zenni... no satisfaction at all.

Insofar as the half-rim brown frame you selected for your July and August 2019 orders, model 583615, with magnetic snap-on sunshades, has a lens height of 33 millimeters, apparently this lens height is not tall enough to enable you to use the distance and intermediate portions of the lenses effectively, and we apologize for this, as well. Therefore, we recommend that you select frames with lens heights of 35-37 mm, and those should provide more distance and intermediate vision coverage. Moreover, since you refer to the blurriness of the lens edges, we want to confirm that the free form style of progressives we provide offers no correction on either side of this reading corridor, which is approximately 12-14 mm wide, about half the width of a standard bifocal segment lens. We recommend that customers point their nose at what they are reading or viewing through the progressive reading corridor, rather than moving their eyes from side to side, to use the intermediate (computer) and near (reading) vision sections successfully. Because the August order was paid for entirely with store credit, we regret that a subsequent store credit refund for these glasses is unavailable, and we are sorry for this, as well. Nevertheless, we can offer you a 50 percent refund of the price of these glasses to the credit card you used to pay for the July order. I received my glasses and found that the bridge was way too small, so I called customer service and was told that if I returned them they would credit my 50% of the purchase ($82) back to the credit card card that I used, and 50% of the store credit that I used ($14) back to the store credit (they only refund 50% of the entire cost of the glasses). A few days later I received an email stating that they credited $7.50 back to my credit card and gave me a store credit of $82! I had to work it out through my credit card company. This was disappointing and I doubt I will purchase from them going forward.

I am pretty sure Zenni will give a long explanation, including that the code number for the frames that was printed on the ear piece matches the frame I ordered, but, it is very possible that the wrong face was put on the ear pieces, as both color choices have the exact ear pieces. Most of all I am disappointed in Zenni's customer service and policies.
Further, a couple years ago, I ordered a sunglass clip-ons that were specifically made for the pair of glasses I was also ordering at the time. I cannot use them, because they fit so poorly onto the glasses that the bottom of them extends beyond the frames and cut into my nose. When I asked about returning them, they only offered a 50 percent store credit. I left the issue alone and threw the clip ons away. I am done with Zenni as there are other companies that offer glasses at a good rate.

The left to right viewing angle on my progressives is so narrow that if I hold a piece of paper at reading distance and focus on one part of a line of text, the text 4 inches away to the left or right is quite out of focus. I was surprised that the horizontal viewing angle of these is so narrow. You have to move your head to the left and right to read anything. My ADD power is only 1.25 diopters, so it doesn't make sense to me that the viewing angle is so small. I called up Zenni, and their customer service could not even give me an answer on what to expect for the left to right viewing angle. They just kept repeating that their progressive lens is "standard". But they could not explain what that meant in terms of performance or quality. Don't waste your money on progressives here. Stick to single vision, which seems to work fine.

My experience with Zenni has been fine. I've been ordering from them for at least 10 years. I went with the rimless with the titanium frame on them. And the quality is okay. They're not the top-notch best, but they're fine for the price and for a backup pair. I had to send a pair back because the lenses are really distorted and Zenni's customer service was really good about saying, “Okay, send them back and we'll credit you and you can replace them.” They were great.

Crap. Nowhere in my correct line of vision and beyond adjustment. Try to save money getting progressive lens. Used exact info from eye doctor. Have to bend head down to see properly. Just get glasses at a professional optometrist office if have progressives. Probably fine for single vision. Can't even get 50% of your money back. Wasted $100!

I could not see with the glasses they made. I only have clear vision if I tilted the frame 2 inches lower in the right side. That is how bad they were made. They made the glasses wrong. Refuse to remake them. Then stole my money.

However, the pupillary distance (PD) was entered as 60 millimeters on the order, although when you sent the prescription, you confirmed that the correct PD value is 66 mm. Our inspection found that the glasses were made correctly based on the prescription provided by the eye doctor and the PD that was entered. However, the issue you describe when you looked through the lenses sounds very much like an issue that occurs when an incorrect PD is entered. Because you confirmed that you performed the two discrepant measurements of your PD, we encourage you to get your PD professionally measured before you order the glasses again, so you can be confident that the PD value is correct. The store credit is a one-time use, so if an error is made on an order paid for entirely or mostly with store credit, the refund option becomes a 50 percent refund of the amount of store credit you used back to the original source of payment, in this case a PayPal account, which is the other refund option we initially offer when a customer orders incorrectly. If your eye doctor declines to provide your PD measurement, employees of optical departments in stores such as Costco, Target, Sears, or Walmart will measure your PD either as a courtesy or for a nominal fee. First pair I bought a few years ago broke not long after purchasing. My new ones are much better and fit nicely, and love the color. The free tint is great for using with my phone and any kind of indoor lighting. May purchase a backup pair in the near future.

My husband told me to try Zenni Optical and he was happy. He helped me pick out the glasses the first time, and then I was able to do it myself the second time. Sometimes it was difficult to talk with the people due to the language difference and understanding, but they were always pleasant. Also, the biggest thing is getting the PD. And then we were not happy with one eye seemed off-kilter. I tried a pair for a while and then just sent them back.

Although it is a bit scary buying glasses online, Zenni was very easy to navigate and eased the fear of not knowing what to expect. The timeframe was very reasonable. Not much longer (if at all) than buying from an optometrist's office. Being able to upload your photos was really great! Helped tremendously! And, unlike other sites, the proportion of viewing the photo with glasses over it was way more accurate. Cost is UNBEATABLE! Love my Zenni's! WILL be back for more!

Ordered Rx glasses in March 2019; it's now August 2019 and still no glasses. It's so long ago, I no longer have the order # - but I know what's wrong; and it is Zenni's fault. Your newer website will not allow for a mail address that does not have a physical address, and completely disregards the POB. So I will never receive my glasses.
I live in a very rural area that does not deliver mail to the house address. All mail goes to the POB at the Post Office. If you put in the physical address, the mail goes to another Post Office in Heathsville VA. and they send it to an undisclosed place. Nowhere on your website can you give special instructions for mailing. When I ordered glasses several years ago, there was no problem at all because I could use my POB. I really do still hope to get my glasses, and also hope you update your website as I am not the only hamlet that works their mail this way. We are also sorry to read your observation that our website will not permit tne entry an address that is a post office box, rather than a physical residence, on the shipping address fields. However, on the shipping address fields, a customer may enter a post office box on Address line 1. However, sometimes an address must be entered in a way that the U.S. Postal Service requires, which will show up on the website as a suggested address. We see that you entered the post office box and a street address on this February order, as well as on the July 6, 2019, order, and on the February 2019 order you did enter in the Special Instructions box on the shipping address page of our website a note advising that the glasses should be left in your post office box or at the back door of the residence. Insofar as the U.S. Postal Service does not retain tracking information past 120 days, we cannot see information on the post office website, usps.com, regarding the shipping of this order. However, the U.S. Postal Service advises that the order you placed on July 6, 2019, has been available for pickup as of July 18, 2019. They refer to “the Wicomico Church,” but it appears that Wicomico Church is the name of the unincorporated community where you reside, not necessarily the Wicomico Parish Church. We recommended Zenni to lots of people. Ordering from them was pretty easy. The glasses came in about 5 days which was a lot faster than I thought they would. My daughter loves the quality of the glasses. They're durable. She wears the glasses almost every day even though she has contacts. She's kind of a fashionista kind of girl so she likes to have lots of different glasses. That's one reason we like Zenni 'cause we can afford to buy several pairs, not just one.

This was my first time ordering with Zenni, and I'm fairly certain I'll not do so again. The glasses took some time to get to me. I could forgive this. Service here was decent, and they refunded my costs for expedited shipping. I was a little confused, however, as one email from the company said they had shipped on the 16th, while another said they shipped on the 18th. I'm wondering if one of those dates was a fabrication, just to placate me.
The real disappointment came when I first wore the glasses. No major issues with the lenses, but the frames... I'll refer you to the attached picture. These are the smallest nose pads I have ever had. They are uncomfortable if worn for more than a few minutes. They're about half the surface area of my other (admittedly, more expensive) glasses.
The second issue is the overall size. As you can see, they fit entirely within my regular set. They're made for someone with a smaller head. And with the position of the nose pads, the top quarter of the glasses sit above my brow line, rather than over my eyes. If I look down to read, the bottom half of my line of site is not covered by the lenses. I could not recommend them to anyone who did not have a tiny head.

We've bought glasses from Zenni (5 pair) as well as Firmoo (2 pair), both were good glasses but Zenni arrived quicker and had no duty to pay for Canadian delivery. I don't like the glasses cases so donate them to charity. The cleaning cloths are super handy, have them in every room of the house. Will definitely continue to purchase from Zenni instead of retail locations that are, no kidding, 6-10X the price. Especially when I lose them within a year. Keep up the good work Zenni!

I’ve used Zenni for more than 10 years. Price is the main reason I go to them and when they first came out, there wasn't much competition. I have full-rim glasses and I have around 20 pairs. I’ve had very little communication with their customer service, but there was one time where the PD was too big or little for the frames. That was my fault and not Zenni's. It was fine and everything got taken care of. I recommend them to everyone.

I ordered my new glasses at my eye doctor's office, but I decided to try Zenni because I wanted prescription sunglasses. I did not have the highest expectations, but it was worth a shot. I could not afford several hundred dollars more. The ordering process was a little confusing at first. I could not tell which sunglasses could be ordered as progressives, but I emailed the Zenni customer service rep (Gill **) and he walked me through it, step by step. I ordered my sunglasses and am more than thrilled with them! They have progressive lenses and the prescription is just as perfect as my eye doctor pair. I love the colors that I see through the lens. They are not real dark, but they really enhance my vision. All this for about 25% of what my eye doctor pair cost me. From now on, it's Zenni for me!!!

I had a girlfriend tell me about Zenni a few years ago when my glasses broke and I've had great experiences ordering from them. Everything that I have seen online has been exactly what I wanted in what I saw on the picture. I like the fact that you can turn the glasses and you can download your picture so you can see what they look like on your face. And if I do rush shipping, I can get my glasses in two weeks. If I do standard shipping, it’s two to three weeks. I’ve had wonderful luck with my glasses. They’ve never been broken and I’ve never had any problems with them. They’re packed very well so I know they’re not gonna be damaged when they are shipped to me because they’re on a hard case. I recommend Zenni to all my friends.

Easy to order and send your money. Glasses have the incorrect prescription. Zenni refuse to make the correct lenses and refuse to refund my money. Customer service just parrots the same company policy. I can't see how this is not a con.

As we advised during the chat, our optical center for single vision lenses is one millimeter above the vertical center line of the lens. The frame you selected, 232921, has a lens height of 44 mm. That puts the optical center at 1 mm above the 22 mm vertical optical center line of the lens, at 23 mm. We see no notes in the database record of your Sept. 10, 2018, order, indicating that you had any issue with those glasses. The frame on that order is 461821, and you ordered progressive lenses. The lens height of those glasses is 32 mm. The progressive reading corridor, where the intermediate (computer) and near (reading) vision are, starts at approximately 5 mm above the center line of the lens. The vertical midpoint on this lens is 16 mm, and 5 mm above this is 21 mm. Therefore, you should have approximately 11 mm of distance vision on those lenses, with the progressive reading segment starting just below that. Since you refer to 33 mm as the optical center, we are wondering if you may be referring to the dual pupillary distance (PD) value, 33 mm from the center of the bridge of your nose to the center of the pupil of each eye. This represents the horizontal placement of the optical center of each lens. We ordered the glasses and they came within a few weeks. Everything about the glasses have been great, we put them on and have had no problems with the progressive (no-Line Multi-Focal). Site allowed me to order glasses that were incompatible with frames. Cust service sent emails that were dumped in spam folder and didn't go thru. 1 pair of glasses was shipped when 2 were ordered. Cust service refused to offer free expedited shipping and insisted I pay full price when original order was at a discount. Finally offered a publicly available coupon for shipping that didn't work. Wouldn't recommend.

I had talked with a nice lady to replace my glasses I had ordered incorrectly. You see I was trying out the Gradient color lenses for my glasses. When I received the glasses the blue lenses was too dark to see indoors. So, I called up customer service at Zenni. She listened to my situation and offer me a one-time refund to my order. I followed the directions she sent me by email and returned the original glasses. Then reorder the glasses with a clear lenses. I love my new glasses and the price was Amazing. I have been buying glasses from these folks for years...about 90% of the time they are perfect. That means that ONE pair, out of the 10 we have purchased, was not exactly correct. The choices available are great. The mockup fitting program is really helpful. They are well made, durable, and a GREAT value. I buy glasses from Zenni for about $45 and the same glasses would cost over $250 at a local shop. I would, and have, recommend them to anyone. Oh yah, it takes us only about 10 days to get them once ordered.

We have been ordering our glasses from Zenni for years and have never had a bad experience. Good quality and good value. I have recommended Zenni to several people and they also love Zenni now. I first learned about Zenni when I was working with adults in foster care who had minimal resources to purchase glasses. We understand that the apartment number was placed before the street name and number of your address, but this apparently did not interfere with the carrier delivering the glasses to a community mailbox. Moreover, we see that an order placed by you in December 2018 was delivered successfully, even though the address was entered with the apartment number first, then the street number and name all on the same line. Therefore, we are also sorry that, since the glasses from that order were delivered without incident in January 2019, we are puzzled that entering the address this same way perhaps posed an obstacle to your receipt of this order. Nevertheless, we are going to direct our lab to remake your glasses and send the new order to your address, which we changed on the shipping address of the order to put the apartment number on a separate line, after the line with the street number and name. You should receive an email later tonight from our lab, confirming the order number for the remake. If you receive both orders, please feel free to keep them both, but if you have any issue with the glasses, only one pair will have refund value. A friend told me about Zenni and I liked their price and selection. Ordering from them is easy. I know what I’m looking for and all the filters they have are nice. You can pretty much narrow it down to exactly what you are looking for either by shape, color or weight. You can narrow it down however you need to. I wait about two weeks after submitting an order to get my glasses.
I have six pairs that I have purchased from Zenni Optical. But I have two pairs of sunglasses that I don’t feel are great. You can see the lines in windows and in water. The thing, however, is you can’t ever call and talk to somebody at Zenni. I don’t like that. I want to actually talk to somebody. I don’t want to text via an online customer service or chat. Also, they don’t do refunds which is annoying. If they mess something up, I have to send it back.
With the issue of one of my sunglasses, where I can see gray lines or vertical lines in my driver-side window when I’m driving, I contacted Zenni and they said they would give me a shipping label to send it back. But if they deem that it was acceptable to their standards, which I’m not sure what their standards were, they would give me store credit to order another pair. They wouldn’t fix it. These specific sunglasses are very popular and are almost always out of stock. I asked, “Will I not get my frames back? Will you not put new lenses in it or try to fix it?” They said they won't ship it back. I’ve always been pretty loyal to Zenni until these last two pairs of sunglasses and I might try a different company after this. I don’t think I’d ever order sunglasses with Zenni again. Other than that, I have three pairs of glasses I really enjoy and I wear them every day.

The reason I did not give 5 stars is because this was my 2nd order. I was not happy with my first order because the lenses had too much glare. Also because they were glasses with clip on sunglasses and light came through between the glasses and clip on. I opted not to get any anti-glare or add-ons because I've ordered sunglasses with Eyebuydirect before that lasted years and were very basic. When I wasn't happy with the first frames, I asked for a refund and was given store credit, which is fine because I needed new prescription sunglasses anyways. This 2nd time around, I chose different frames and opted to get anti-glare because I didn't want to make the same mistake again. I am very happy with the 2nd pair! I have purchased at least 6 pairs of glasses/sunglasses from Zenni and they have all been of high quality. The prices are more than fair and their customer service is amazing. One pair of my glasses was slightly crooked and I was having difficulties adjusting them. They sent me a new frame for free with no questions asked! They even supplied a screwdriver for the glasses. I was highly impressed and will be using them again in the future.

The nose piece on these glasses broke off after only two months. I haven’t wore glasses for about 50 years and I have never had a nose please break off! I called and spoke to someone in customer service and her only solution was for me to go online and order the frame only and I will get 50% off of that meaning about $15. The way I see it I should get a whole new set of glasses. I’ll be more than happy to return this broken pair. I should not have to put lenses in a frame that broke after only two months. I can be reached at **. At this point if this issue is not resolved, I plan to no longer recommend Zenni to friends and family and will not purchase from Zenni in the future.

I am extremely happy with my experience with Zenni Optical. My order was delivered in less than 7 days and I have a monster prescription. Places that say they will make your glasses while you wait tell me 2 weeks. I am used to being quoted a price of close to $1000 for a pair of glasses, this pair was about $150. I ordered a second pair about a week later. I also liked being able to upload a picture and superimpose the frame on my face. With a retail store, the frames don't have lenses and with my prescription I have had no idea whatsoever how a frame would look on me. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the frustration I experienced in picking a frame then entering my prescription only to get the message that that frame is not available for your sphere. I repeated this multiple times before just creating an account and saving the prescription.

Not entirely helpful and not super apologetic. They made me feel like it was my fault but I entered my prescription right. It was told to me AFTER that I needed a negative cylinder not a positive cylinder and it messed it up. I also paid a lot of money to get them shipped to me sooner and that was not refunded to me or anything.

The price is right and the ease of purchasing is fantastic. The frames my daughter picked out were great and fit her face perfectly. Unfortunately the prescription is not correct. She has been complaining of headaches and not being able to see out of the lenses. I would love for them to remake them.

I am not a full time glasses wearer so I thought a cheaper alternative would be a better fit. I ordered my first, paid, not a good choice frame wise. So, I contacted customer service and received a store credit (less shipping). Fine. I called to ask a couple of questions about the Lenz Blockz ad and was given bad information. Based on that bad information, I ordered my next pair with the Lenz Blockz. When received the lenses were gray. The information I was told on the phone was that they wouldn't turn dark, but they sure do. I called customer service again and was told I would receive a full store credit.
I sent them back, and when I checked today, I had a store credit of $7.19 and a Paypal refund of $25.88. I went through Live Chat with Benson and was told, "Nope, that is the max refund you will receive (less than 50% of what I paid)." We went back and forth on the content as I was not understanding what he was telling me. I asked for a Supervisor, he provided me a phone number and disconnected the chat. Nice, right? It's unacceptable to NOT refund someone their full amount (less shipping) into a store credit. So, I lost $30+ dollars and have no glasses. Unfortunate that the company would do that...for a store credit.

I ordered and paid for progressive lenses. I did not get progressives and was told "Too bad. It's past the 30 day warranty". There was no offer for any compensation for even a partial payment on a new pair. There are so many other companies out there. You would think they would make some attempt to keep a customer.

We were also sorry to read that our customer service representative advised that, when you telephoned us yesterday, you were outside the 30-day warranty period, which begins the day the glasses are delivered, and therefore, we could not assist you. Consequently, we apologize for any dismay you experienced as a result of these matters. Your purchase is only a little over a week outside the warranty period, which we are extending on your behalf, so that you may return these glasses to us, and we can inspect them, to determine whether we correctly placed the progressive correction on the lenses. If our inspection finds that there is no progressive correction on the lenses, or that there is one but it was incorrectly placed on the lenses, or that we made the glasses incorrectly in any other respect, we can remake the glasses for you for free. We see one other order you placed with us, in January 2012, which has no notes in the database record of that order indicating that you contacted us about those glasses. That order was placed for single-vision glasses, with a slightly different prescription, but the pupillary distance (PD) on that order was entered as 59 millimeters, whereas the PD on this June 2019 order is 50 mm. If your PD is actually 59 mm, we expect that you would not be able to see well through the reading portion of the lenses with a pair of glasses that has a considerably different PD. Nevertheless, we are emailing you instructions to return these glasses for an inspection. When you return the glasses, please enclose a copy of the prescription you got from the eye doctor. If the PD is not on the prescription, please indicate how you obtained it – self-measurement, friend or family member measurement, or eye doctor measurement. I ordered glasses not expecting much, but these have become my favorite pair. The prescription is accurate and the frames are so comfortable. This pair has replaced the pair I got from the eye dr. The frames are also really light, so it doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything! The only thing I've noticed is the earpiece seems pretty long, and the anti-glare coating makes the lenses seem smeary if you don't take care to clean them correctly. Both very minor things. I love these glasses and will order again.

Zenni Optical is AMAZING! Ordering was simple from start to finish! I ordered 2 pairs and I absolutely love them! My glasses were ordered a day apart and I got them both within a week! Even without trying them on before they were ordered I picked them out based on my face shape and went with suggestions from the website. I’m one happy customer.

My son recently lost his glasses from eyeglass world. Replacements would cost me $200. Using the info from his script I ordered him an almost exact match from Zenni for 25... They came faster than I expected and my mind is blown on the quality! Amazing value!!! All my sons glasses will be from Zenni from now on! THANK YOU!

Was skeptical of add you find on Facebook due to all the scams. I received my glasses. They look great. They work great. I ordered prescription sunglasses, very inexpensive, very very pleased, will order again. Creating an order as we speak for my daughter.

Zenni has reached out to me and is making a new pair of sports goggles and sending them to us for free to replace the broken ones. They have also sent a discount coupon to use on our next order. Their customer service has been excellent and I am very please with the way they handled this. I will definitely purchase more glasses from them in the future. It has been nice to deal with a company that stands behind their products.

I ordered two pairs of glasses for my son. The everyday glasses are good quality and fit him well. I was a little less please with the sports goggles that we bought him for football. Within the first week one of the plastic nose pieces have broke and we had to glue the nose piece back on the goggles in order to keep it from falling off. The goggles do get more abuse than regular glasses but I would have thought there would have been a better way to attach the nose piece so it didn't break so easily.

Zenni Optical is cheaper and there is more customization. My sister told me about the company. When I ordered the wrong pair of glasses the first time, they let me reorder them with store credit. The reason I messed up is that I didn't understand what PH meant. I wish they could have explained what certain acronyms meant. Other than that, I love my glasses. They're perfect. I had the same style for two years then I wanted to change it up, so I was looking for something different. I thought the shipping was gonna take longer, but it took a week.

My sister told me about Zenni Optical. Their frame was really cheap and the ordering process was really easy. I ordered glasses a few years ago and they're well-framed. Then, a few months ago, I ordered for my mom and hers is a plastic frame.

Be aware that unless your “progression” begins at 5mm above the center of the lens, which ZENNI claims is standard and the only setting they have, their lenses will NOT work for you. My progression, as measured by a local eyeglass shop several weeks after I realized I couldn’t see properly through the glasses, were 4mm off. That is HUGE. I could not see distance properly without pulling the glasses all the way down on my face and looking through the very very top of the lens. ZENNI makes no mention of this. What a waste of my money and time. I walked around for weeks with tired strained eyes. Their web site is great, then frames are great, their prices are great BUT IF YOU CAN’T SEE PROPERLY, WHAT’S the point?!
Thank you for posting your Zenni review of the progressive glasses you received from us, which we were sorry to learn had a progressive reading corridor that started so high on the lens that you had to pull the glasses down to use the distance portion of the lenses at the top. The frame you selected has a 30-millimeter lens height, and, as you note in your review, the top of our progressive reading corridor is placed 5 mm above the center line of the lens. The midpoint of a 30 mm lens is 15 mm, and with the progressive segment height placed 5 mm above this center line, you should have 10 mm of distance vision at the top of the lens. We understand that, insofar as you are outside the warranty period on this order, our customer service representative offered you as a courtesy exception a 50 percent refund of the price of the glasses in the form of store credit to your Zenni Optical account, so that you may use the store credit toward the purchase of a new pair of single-vision glasses. Updated on 02/02/2020: This is my third review as the saga continued until I reached a pitiful conclusion with this business/company. To review: I purchased a new set of glasses from "Z" after sending them my prescription. The glasses were completely unwearable as the lenses were badly distorted. I promptly returned them and awaited a couple/few weeks for the new ones. At first, the company challenged my complaint but reluctantly accepted the glasses in return and remade them. The 2nd pair were only acceptable on the upper lens of the seamless bifocal while the lower lens was once again badly distorted. The company did not want to accept my complaint again which was extremely frustrating because the glasses were once again unwearable.
Reluctantly they agreed to a return to once again look at what the complaint was. Their response??? Too bad. "They look fine to us". Interesting. But you are not wearing them. This was their offer. Half off what I paid. Gheesh! Makes you want to go back and buy some more from this company. Doesn't it???? I do not think so. I reluctantly accepted the 50% credit. Buying online can be difficult. And therefore one must be diligent about the vendor/manufacturer in the manner in which they respond to your issues. I have had to fight tooth n nail with progressive auto insurance and sprint. But with Walmart, they do whatever it takes to make me, as a loyal customer, satisfied, even if it is thru one of their vendors. I am not out to rip anyone off, especially over a pair of essentially, prescription reading glasses. I will never do business with this company again and I would never recommend that anyone else do business with them.
Updated on 09/21/2019: OK, as previously reviewed my first, new set of glasses purchased thru Zenni O did not go well. I had to return them so that the company could verify what I was describing as the problem. They emailed me a return label and since I do not have a printer I had to search for one. The UPS Store I went to told me $5 to print one sheet of paper which was the return label to be returned by UPS. I tried another UPS Store and it cost me 26 cents and the clerk attached it to my package.
Upon receipt of my package weeks later, Zenni acknowledged that the glasses were not made to their correct tolerances. Of course, I had to follow up with Zenni since they did not acknowledge receipt on their own. Here is the new problem....they want to issue a credit and have me do a complete new order rather than simply remaking the glasses as per my original order. Seems completely reasonable to me. You screwed up and now replace them. I am awaiting their response. Why does the customer have to jump thru all of the hoops for merely attempting to buy something from someone? Strange Business.
Original Review: For my 1st dot CDL driver's license and physical I was told I needed prescription glasses. I had been wearing 2.50 readers for a number of years. I chose Zenni from online because of their pricing and reviews. My first pair of glasses arrived a few moments ago and I was anxious to try them on. My eyes were at 20/50 and they needed to be 20/40 or 20/20. The doctor said the prescript would make them 20/20. When I put on the glasses I immediately noticed a distortion in my peripheral vision. What I could see at a distance was clear but looking left to right or moving my head to do so I was seeing things distort...this was a bit weird. I was never good with spinning or moving like that.
Since these were progressive bifocals, the lower portion of the lenses were much worse. I could see clearly if I were looking directly at something but moving my eyes left or right....forget about it! Blurred. My $5 readers from Walmart give me a clear wide view of everything I am reading or viewing as my comparative. If looking down or at something close-in with the new lenses....major distortion. Frame and general fit seem to be just fine. Happy with that aspect. I did purchase these online and thus do not have a receipt.
In all fairness, I immediately contacted Zenni and they asked for a copy of my prescript which I will send them in a day or so and I will update this site as to how they are handling the situation. Regarding the "star" rating on this site...it is unfairly a bit premature as I want to give Zenni a chance to resolve this. However, I did place the order, receive the goods as promised but aside form expecting a minor adjustment to prescripts....I did not expect this. I needed these glasses to drive and as they are now....I do not think it would be safe to do so, even though I will try them for their long distance corrective lenses in my car, but not while at work.

We were sorry to read that you are dissatisfied because there is no peripheral vision through the lenses on either side of the progressive reading corridor, and we apologize for any dismay you experienced as a result. We want to confirm that we use a style of progressive glasses called free form, which provides a progressive reading corridor with no correction on either side of where the intermediate (computer) and near (reading) vison are placed on the lens. We advise our customers who are not used to free form progressive lenses to point their nose at what they are reading, rather than moving their eyes from side to side, and they should be able to use the intermediate and near-vision sections effectively. If you try this and your vision still is not good, when you contact us again with your prescription, as the notes in the database record of your order indicate you intend to do, please advise the customer service representative with whom you speak or with whom you Chat that you tried pointing your nose at what you are reading, and you still could not see well. When you confirm to the representative that you entered your prescription and pupillary distance (PD) correctly, they will email you instructions to return the glasses for an inspection and a prepaid shipping label you may use for return postage. We very much hope to hear back from you, so that we may resolve this matter to your satisfaction.

The quality of the glasses that I’ve received from Zenni Optical is pretty good. I like them. I’ve gotten a lot of them. I liked Zenni's website and ordering process. And the glasses comes to me usually between seven and 10 days.

While ordering from Zenni is hard for me as I'm older, my daughter doesn't find any problem with it. I got bifocals from them and thus far, they have been working well. I wear them all the time and they’re very economical. I recommend Zenni.

After a couple months these green tinted sunglasses became blurry and unusable. A second pair purchased at the same time, with the same prescription, just without the tint did not have a problem. Zenni customer service would not offer any resolution to this problem. You can do far better than Zenni for your glasses.

I ordered a pair of progressives and my eye hits high on the lens. The reading and medium lens placement was extremely low. So I sent them back. 4 week turn around and reader lens seem to be better but still not close enough to use. They give me headaches.

We received the glasses on March 7, 2019, and we inspected them on March 11, 2019. Our inspection found that these glasses were made incorrectly, for which we are very sorry. As a result, we remade them for you, completing the remake on March 18, 2019, and mailing the glasses to you on this same date, via Express mail at no charge to you, as a customer service exception. Although UPS does not retain delivery information on their website past 120 days, we do not believe that these glasses were delivered to you four weeks after we received and inspected these glasses, and we apologize for any confusion you experienced as a result. Zenni seems to have nice frames at great prices, however, if you get your glasses and you can't see well with them forget about the money you spent, the company is frustrating to deal with. I spent $250 on glasses that are useless. They send you one email a day, 12-hour time change, they ask stupid questions example, try adjusting the glasses on your face to better see. Or bring them to an optometrist to test the lens. Their return policy sucks.
