    I have attempted to order glasses from Zenni twice. The first time I ordered them was in 2018 but they shipped the glasses to an incorrect address. They informed me it could not be fixed, refunded, and had me contact USPS to find the shipment, which was never located. I ordered glasses again April 2020, which did arrive but with warped lenses that seem to have the correct prescription but otherwise are very nauseating to wear as the glasses magnify on the peripherals. I have a very basic prescription and kept the customizations limited in hopes to have functional glasses. I cannot return them as I do not have access to a printer and the public resources are closed. Customer service has been difficult and not very understanding. Overall another disappointing experience with Zenni. Would not recommend trying them.

First, we were sorry to learn that you entered an incorrect shipping address on your 2019 order, and that your contact with the U.S. Postal Service regarding this matter was unsuccessful. Second, we are sorry that although the prescription seemed correct on your most recent order, distortion on the periphery of the lenses made the glasses difficult for you to wear. We were also sorry to read that you do not have access to a printer, which precludes your printing the prepaid shipping label we emailed you. Because you advise that public resources are closed, preventing you from returning the glasses, we are going to make a customer service exception to fully refund your credit card for the amount you spent on this purchase, $41.85.     Somebody at my job, my supervisor, told me about Zenni and I decided to purchase since it was cheap and they had a whole bunch of different styles. I ended up getting glasses with a transition option, which turn into sunglasses, and the process was very easy. It was pretty much self-explanatory.     I purchased my third pair of tri-focal glasses this past February 2020 from Zenni. I loved my first two pairs and I was looking forward to loving my third. My Zenni's arrived and I gave them a good try for a week but had to return them because of a slight problem with viewing distance with my trifocals. I found the return process very easy and the Customer Service department was thorough and communicated frequently with me.

    In the end Zenni told me that the glasses were indeed "slightly out of tolerance" and they offered to remake them at no cost me or give me a full store credit. Unfortunately, since all of this was happening during COVID-19 the ordering and return process were taking a little longer than normal which was no fault of Zenni. I had to get glasses made quickly from a local retailer because my old Zenni's were broken. I asked for a full return to my flexible spending account and they promptly replied with a full refund. I look forward to ordering my fourth pair of glasses from Zenni in the near future as their styles, prices and customer service do not disappoint!

    My aunt always orders from Zenni and she had five pairs. The quality was awesome and they were adorable. I ordered my first three pairs and then, I just continued to order. The picture uploading when ordering was always difficult though. Every time I did it, no matter which way I did it, they uploaded it sideways. I tried a couple different times but I was not able to use that for whatever reason so, I just picked on the same shape of glasses that I’ve had before. All my glasses have full rims. I feel like they look better on my face. I love the quality of the glasses as well as how fast the delivery was. So, from start to finish, I love Zenni. I would order 100 times more and recommend them to everyone.

    Zenni Optical's prices are lower than most of the other competitors. I used the images that they had available in trying to find a guy that looked kinda similar to me and then I got the full-rim glasses as I liked its style. The delivery was perfect. It came in through UPS mail. The quality of the glasses is pretty good, as long as I take care of it, keep it in the protective casing, and clean it with the cloth provided.

    My daughter spoke to a friend who had used Zenni before and she sent me a link of some glasses that she wanted. She talked to her friend and her friend had a good experience. Ordering through Zenni was easy. It’s very self-explanatory and it was fast. My daughter loves her glasses. She did measure her face, the distance between her eyes.     I ordered eyeglasses from Zenni Optical years ago. I had the oblong one at one point. And then, I had the square one. I just tried to figure out which would be good for bifocals and single view, and depending on what I use it for. Like if it’s just a single view, I use it for driving, so I wanted it a big frame. And if it’s for work, I try to find a medium size so it doesn’t interfere with work. It’s a lot easier navigating than it was eight years ago. Before, you have to really look around. Now, we have filters. If you want a rimless one, or if you want a big one, or a small one, or if you want something in clearance, something cheap like you can just wear at home thing.

    The only thing that’s different nowadays is it seems their frames are more expensive. It’s not too expensive, not like going to the doctor, but a little more. I can understand that considering it’s different times and different kind of materials or different kind of coatings that Zenni puts in the glasses. But a long time ago, it was a bit more affordable. But other than that, I always had a good experience with Zenni.

    Zenni was the best value that I found. Ordering online was easy. The instructions were easy to follow. You just plug in the information they ask for and pick out your frames. I ordered three pairs so that I could keep them in separate places and not have to keep up with them. Everything is fine, except for the one pair that I had something engraved on the arm. It was just a little different than what I had put in. But I’m okay with that, things happen.

    My family uses Zenni Optical. I ordered from them too and had an easy experience ordering. But then, the tools on Zenni's site didn't work very well for me. I used their feature to see how glasses looked on my face but when I did they were kinda crooked and the sides came out too far. Some of the pictures didn't look right. The first time I ordered, the glasses I got weren't even the right script. There was something wrong with them. When I turn my head to either side to look out like if when I'm walking in a grocery store and I look down the aisle, everything is blurry. They sent me out new ones though. I'm still dissatisfied with Zenni. They replaced my glasses but then I got an email when I was ordering that second set saying that if those glasses didn't work and I wanted my money back, I would only get 50%. That discouraged me.

    You are amazing! You made getting new glasses so easy and affordable! I have an intense far-sighted prescription and have to wear bifocals. I refuse to have regular bifocals (I am only 32) and get progressive lenses. With the strength of lenses needed for my prescription, I have to get them made using the light-weight options to prevent permanent bruising on my nose (seriously). Through my regular doctor, the lenses alone cost $274! Your pricing allowed me to get those same lenses PLUS frames for $137. I couldn't be more grateful for your services. Keep it up!

    My glasses came apart at the bridge after 3 months. I am a retired mechanical engineer and this failure is clearly a design or manufacturing failure. I suspect the latter. I have ordered glasses from Zenni and have been happy with them as they lasted many years. When I called customer service I was told about the 30-day return policy. I was not trying to return the glasses because they did not fit but get them replaced because they broke after a short period of time. I was disconnected when I requested to speak with a supervisor. If a company wants to deliver a quality product they have to be open to hearing about defects.

    I had a problem two frames ago where I ordered them wrong. It was nothing that the Zenni did and yet, they were really nice working with me to get it corrected.     I love Zenni. A coworker was always wearing different frames, and she said it was Zenni. She showed me and I started ordering them. I have five pairs so far and they're all affordable. The frames are good and sturdy. I am very pleased with the pair I got. They have the magnetic sunglass attachment because I’m unable to wear my sunglasses if I don’t have my contacts in. I have chronic dry eyes so I can’t wear my contacts every day. I get so many compliments on my glasses and people cannot believe how much I pay for them.

    I have a bifocal and my prescription is different at each eye. My glasses usually cost me about $500. And I’ve not paid Zenni more than $56 for a pair. That was the most expensive pair that I’ve had. People do not believe it when I say it’s $27. I even got a pair that I paid $16 for. I’ve been ordering for a little over a year now and they’ve all been good quality. I actually had to take a pair that I got from a local optical place to have fixed, and I paid over $400 for them, and the frames fell apart. I’ve tried to order from other places online that other people say they use, but by the time I get to the checkout, the price is either double or triple. And at Zenni, it’s what it is. And I always get a coupon that I can use, a coupon code that I can use later.

    The website is very easy to navigate and the glasses look exactly like in the website. It shows how they look on other people so I can use that as a base. I like how they show the ones by price and then the new style. I’ve even ordered a pair under the men’s because I liked the frame. I ordered for my boss a pair not long ago. My sister finally jumped over and I got her a pair because she’s always going to the same person and she paid way too much. She went ahead and ordered from Zenni too.

    So I ordered glasses with the measurements I followed on the site against what I have now and what I received. I previously ordered a pair but had to return it as it was too loose and it wasn’t fitting properly and When I got the label I then ordered 2 pairs to replace the returned one because I was feeling a bit generous to myself for achieving a lot in just a quarter to the year. But when I got them, they were pulling so tight that my skin is marked with the shape of the frames!!! So I called customer support, who were previously helpful but this Christine ** who handled my case is an exception. I have to return the glasses because they were really too tight! I explained to her that it wasn’t my fault that the frames were not as described on the size described. I get headaches and I cannot work properly when I’m not well.

    Being that it’s stressful enough handling patients with COVID19 and scary enough to be on the frontlines, she was of no help in the spare 15mins I have to get the return label and for me to order another. She even gave me a lecture on how to not order. I miss the ones who were very helpful. I need a label so I can order glasses to replace these. And I promise that this will be my last order with you. I’m very disappointed and will alert all my friends I recommend Zenni to regarding my issue. So at this time, I’m still waiting to be given the label. Not happy.

It is good to know that we emailed you instructions to return these glasses for an inspection of the size of the frames and the effectiveness of the photochromic feature. If our inspection finds that the frames do not match the dimensions listed under the enlarged picture of the frames, and that the photochromic feature is not working properly, we can remake the glasses for you in frames that you believe will fit you better. With this in mind, we want to advise that we reviewed the dimensions of the frames you selected on this order as well as your previous orders. The most important dimensions that will determine whether the frames fit you well are the frame width, the bridge (the part that goes over your nose), and the temple arms. The frames on this order, 4417516 and 4442321, have these dimensions: 4417516: frame width 129 millimeters, bridge 18 mm, temple arm length 138 mm. 4442321: frame width 132 mm, bridge 20 mm, temple arm length 142 mm. You returned for a 100 percent store credit refund the one frame, 2023816, from your most recent previous order, o2477857341, placed February 27, 2020, because you advised that it too small. The dimensions of 2023816 are: frame width 130 mm, bridge 19 mm, temple arm length 144 mm. Your most recent order prior to this one, o2336724364, placed November 26, 2019, has three frames, all with your prescription but with a variety of dimensions: Frame 2013412 has a frame width of 132 mm, a bridge of 14 mm, and temple arms 138 mm long. (This is a reorder of the same frame from your order immediately previous to this one, o2299089793, placed November 8, 2019, which you returned because the prescription was entered incorrectly.) Frame 2024117 has a considerably wider frame width: 141 mm, with a bridge of 19 mm and temple arms 145 mm long. Frame 126221 also has a wider width than the orders from March and February 2020: The frame width is 137 mm, the bridge is 17 mm, and the temple arms are 141 mm long.     I've bought multiple pairs of glasses over the years with Zenni and have always had a good experience. However, my last purchase (3 pairs) all three pairs had distortion in the lens. I got a migraine after wearing them for a week. I went to my eye dr thinking my prescription was wrong. They tested the prescription and said, no, it must be the glasses. When I sent the glasses back in, Zenni said they failed their quality check. I didn't understand why the glasses didn't go through a quality check before being sent to me.

    I re-ordered two pairs and asked the customer service rep if she could verify that my glasses went through a quality check before sending them to me. She told me I needed to write a note when ordering saying, "Please make my glasses correctly (really?)." I did that, received my two new pairs, and both of them have distortion on the sides of the lens. If I look to the side or move my head too quickly I get dizzy. This is really unacceptable. Once I get this mess figured out, I'll be ordering from somewhere else next time.

    I heard about Zenni online. I had an eye exam at a Walmart store and looked at their frame selection and pricing. I asked if I could use my old frames and have new prescription lenses placed in them. The sales associate took the old glasses to the rear of the optical department and then returned saying that I could not do that because the frames are "frozen". I left the store and found Zenni online. Using the new prescription and my PD I ordered 3 pairs of glasses from Zenni. Progressive bifocals reading glasses and sunglasses. Received all three within 2 weeks and I am totally satisfied! The entire experience was great! I plan to use Zenni for all future vision needs!

    I ordered a pair of glasses about a month ago and I haven't received them yet. I know I paid for my order because my bank notified me when it went through. My order status on my dashboard says complete but no tracking number is listed. I tried calling your service line but it says it is not available. I tried to email you and it said my action was blocked. I have not heard any updates on my order at all. I paid for my frames so this should not be happening. I am very unhappy with your service. Please fix this.

When we logged onto the postal service website (usps.com) we found this message: “We attempted to deliver your package at 12:23 pm on February 27, 2020 in SAULT SAINTE MARIE, MI 49783 but could not access the delivery location. We will redeliver on the next business day.” We recommend that you contact your local post office with the tracking number and ask for their assistance. If they confirm that they still have the glasses, you may ask them to deliver them to you or you may advise that you will pick them up at the post office. We hope that your inquiry at the post office is successful. We do not see any indication that the post office has tried to redeliver the glasses to you or sent them back to us.     My honest experience? If I were you I would save my time, energy, effort and the stress! Yesterday (3/9/2020) was my first time ordering from Zenni Optical. I put in my glasses size and my PD. I received an email saying I should choose a new pair. I went back to the website, went into the live chat with a representative.. They sent me a new link to a pair, reassuring me those would work perfectly with my temple arm length, bridge size and lens length and width. So I agreed to those, even though it costed a few dollars more, only to receive ANOTHER email from the Zenni lab telling me the ones the representative helped me with will NOT work with my PD, so I went back into live chat again this morning to be sent another link to a few to pick from, reassuring me yet again those would work.

    I picked out a pair for the third time ONLY to be told they would not fit, and to pick out yet a fourth pair and receiving an email I went over to the live chat one last time and explained to the latest Rep that every single agent I spoke to directed me to a different list and reassured me they would fit. I expressed I was displeased and at this point would just prefer my money back.

We see that on March 9, 2020, you placed your order, and on March 10, 2020 (yesterday), you requested that the frame on the order be changed from 3210021 ($19.00), which has a PD range of 62-75 mm, and would not accommodate your PD of 60 mm without an extra-strength charge of $9.00, to frame 328821 (the black cat-eye frame with pink on the inside, $27.95), which has a PD range of 53-70 mm, and which would accommodate your PD without an extra-strength charge.     I ordered a set of new glasses and was initially very pleased with the quality and value - only to find out that my glasses had transition lenses - not what I wanted! I reached out to Zenni to see if they could make things right and they responded that the issue was MY fault because I hadn't read the website closely enough. I did read the website and found its offerings difficult to navigate. Zenni didn't even offer a discount code for a second set of glasses without transitional lenses. Seriously, Zenni?     I love Zenni but in my last order one of the glasses have some problems, the frame is too big for the case, the arms don't close all the way and because of this I think they got twisted and now they are no aligned.     I first purchased glasses from Zenni maybe 8 years ago fully convinced I was wasting my money on fake garbage but too poor to afford glasses elsewhere and too desperate to go without. Let's be honest... when you're used to dropping $350 WITH insurance at certain one-hour mall establishments the thought that actual prescription glasses could be purchased with anti-glare/anti-scratch coating for under $10 is just laughable. I received my glasses and was surprised to find absolutely nothing wrong with them so I brought them to my ophthalmologist to be verified as my accurate rx (clearly I was looking for problems) and was proven wrong again- Zenni really is exactly what they claim to be. A budget prescription glasses provider with quality products. I was so excited I bought another pair and one from a competitor. I liked Zenni better both in terms of prices and quality and I've gone on to purchase another 10 pairs.

    Guys, I can lose my glasses (or fall on my face and break them-it happens) without stressing because I can afford spares. I love that you can virtually try them on and they're accurately proportioned. I've never received a pair and thought "jeez, these just don't look like I had envisioned" and I'm picky about how I look. I love that I don't have to go to the store and deal with salespeople commenting on my appearance and hollowly assuring me that EVERYTHING I'm trying on looks AMAZING. I love that my script is saved to my account for easy reordering. I don't really love the 2 week wait, Amazon Prime has absolutely ruined me, but it's a completely reasonable timeframe especially given the price point.

    I'm now on state insurance and could have a pair completely covered my insurance every 2 years vs the copays I used to pay. Regardless, I keep going back to Zenni. Far more options than the 2 dozen I'm offered given my insurance plan, I can update my script yearly if my refraction changes, and spares are necessary. Not a single pair of my Zenni glasses have broken, minus one notepad that came loose after 2.5 years, despite taking some real abuse. That includes delicate metal frames and half frames. I tell everyone with glasses about Zenni. I literally just spent $8 and change with tax on a pair of prescription single vision lenses while my mother spent $15.95 at CVS for a pair of readers!

    I bought some eyeglasses from an ophthalmologist and a month later used that prescription to order a spare pair from Zenni. I must prefer the frames I got from zenni in look over what I got from the ophthalmologist and the frame quality itself seems the same as the 5x more expensive ones I have however they're not really usable as the prescription is clearly wrong. I tried them for about 2 weeks and never was able to stop getting motion sickness and the left lens wasn't really functional for sight. I included separate PD measurements as measured by ophthalmologist for accuracy and it's still clearly wrong. I don't know what else, I as a consumer, could have done. Overall it was a waste of 70 dollars. I wouldn't recommend. I never returned them and just consider it an expensive mistake.

    I ordered the round glasses with clip-on sunglasses. The clip-ons hang off the glasses at an acute angle, something is clearly wrong. I contacted their customer support, sent in some photos, and was told that the problem was with the frames and they would send me new frames and I could switch lenses. Paying to have lenses switched on $10 frames seems ridiculous. In addition, as I looked at the frames I seriously began to question the quality of production at Zenni.

    Seeing as I was sent a defective item I requested a refund to my credit card. I was told that there was no way I could receive a refund despite receiving a broken item and I could either receive 100% store credit or 50% back to my credit card. Absurd! In an age where most successful brands are distinguished by their excellent customer service I am frankly astonished. Avoid Zenni! Pay the small amount extra for Warby Parker. Their customer service is phenomenal.

    I have been a customer of Zenni for about 12 years now. At first, I was super happy. Fast response, quick delivery, and most of the glasses were pretty high quality. The last few orders I've made, not much comes standard, there is an add-on for everything, the order process has become more convoluted, and even the "higher-end" more expensive glasses are junk. Spending hundreds of dollars on each order and waiting 45+ days for a delivery and then finding that they aren't even high-quality is not something I would consider convenient nor affordable.

    Don't even try to contact customer service - they blame everything on China. You can't blame everything on your manufacturer. I've dropped way too much money into this company to spend anymore. They used to be the only company out there offering a service like this, but now they have way too much competition to offer sub-par service. Do yourself a favor and skip Zenni and Google their competition. You'll save yourself some money and time checking to see when you're ever going to receive that elusive tracking information. Zenni has lost a long-time customer.

    I read a lot of reviews of various online eyeglass retailers and decided to go with ZenniOptical.com. When ordering online I was careful to enter my prescription precisely, even asking the online chat/bot some questions I had and placed my order for one pair of glasses. My total was about $160.00. A couple of weeks go by and I thought I would contact them to check the status of my order.

    First I was told these are made in China. I had no idea. Then they said due to the Coronavirus situation there, shipping has been delayed. That's fine. Things happen, but you know what didn't happen? Them contacting me to tell me my order would be delayed, particularly due to a pathogenic virus. Good grief. 3 weeks and 1 day after I order, I receive the one pair of glasses I ordered. Seem o.k. and good enough quality, but once I put them on it all went bad; near, mid and distance was off, everything was blurry.

    I immediately get online with zennioptical.com customer service and chat with Marinel one of their customer service reps. She was nice and confirmed I had entered my prescription correctly. She said she could issue a RMA for a return, they would inspect the glasses and remake if necessary at no charge. When I asked for a full refund she said the best they could do is issue a RMA# for a return and a 50% refund, 50%? Seriously?

    When I complained that's unacceptable and I'm not prepared to wait another 3 weeks or more on a pair of glasses that still might not work she said the only way for a full refund is to still return them so they can inspect them. That seemed like a 2nd or 3rd tier call center response when they should have offered that first considering my complaint, wait time and poor optical manufacturing quality.

    Like most call centers, they have pre-prescribed answers for just about any question or concern a customer may have. However, when your first standard answer for a full refund on something that didn't work and took weeks to deliver is only a 50% refund, well, that's insulting. So, I've shipped them back to China (they did pay for the return shipping), but I have little faith they will do the right thing and offer a full refund. I will revise and update this review based on their response.

    I received my order for photochromic eyeglasses faster than I expected. However, the frame is flimsy and a bit too small for any adult — though advertised as a medium size frame. I selected it — so, it is my fault. I wish I selected a slightly bigger frame. Zenni's Customer Service Reps were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The price I paid for a pair of photochromic lenses was much cheaper than in any American store. Fully worth the price I paid. I have used it only a few times since I received it, and hope it would last for a while. I strongly recommend Zenni Optical for your eyeglasses.

    Frustrating, terrible, unfit for business. This is my HONEST review. I have waited since January 22nd for the company to ship out my glasses order. By today, it still has not been shipped out and have since requested the order could be canceled with a FULL refund. For over a week, I was told my order would was in the manufacturing process and in the final stages of "quality check." The fact was and a fact never e-mailed to me after countless phone calls on the progress of the order, is that they neglected to tell me at the time that my order was delayed due to the health emergency (I had to find this out from a customer as this information was never updated in an email when I asked them in an e-mail for any updates). They told me MY order would still be on time as it was still in the period of shipment. I was told they were closed for a week due to a National holiday, but not to worry, my item would still get to me.

    I found out on FACEBOOK by a customer that they delayed shipments -- but I didn't know whether it applied to mine because I was told it was arrive to me by the 12th. They even sent an email to me personally whether I wanted expedited shipping or cancel the order and I said I wanted expedited - that was a few days ago - and then on the phone today when I called them, NO expedited shipping though they gave it to me as an option.

    With back and forth dishonesty and lying, the supervisor I spoke to today said my order would be delayed another a week when I asked after speaking to her subordinate who spoke to me ten minutes earlier, said I would still get it by the 12th. I said to cancel it with a refund, because that was my other option, and she said she couldn't but I could get a 50% refund - A 50% refund for an item I never got and go no updates or anything I requested countless times and alleged emails to operations to expedite or hurry along my order.

    No way. I filed a claim with Paypal. I will file a complaint with a consumer group. I do expect my full refund and if I get one after the Paypal process, I will update this review. Speaking of reviews and social media, they have blocked me from the page, but they can't block me here. I have countless recorded phone calls and screenshots. UPDATE: Paypal refunded me based on its conversation with Zenni and I got a FULL refund - not just half of it. I would have much preferred my glasses and without all of the hassle, but it is what it is and my situation with Zenni is now permanently closed.

    I ordered the glasses and they were shipped on 12/23/2019. I checked tracking regularly and it didn't appear that the package was moving for over a week. I contacted Zenni on 01/03/2020 and they suggested that a wait a while longer to see if they arrived. I contacted them again on the 8th to tell them that I still did not have the glasses and they remade and resent the order. All in, it took about 20 days to get my glasses. I am not impressed and will not reorder.

    I have ordered from Zenni three times. I have always been delighted with the price and the quality of my glasses, and I wear progressive lenses, so I was nervous about ordering them online. All but two of these glasses have had the bows break off, and are not repairable.     It took 3 weeks to get a warranty replacement to arrive. It would make sense since the first pair broke 2 days after receiving that I would get replacement fast, but it took even longer for replacements. The replacements have blue blockers and the lenses seem to have lower quality coating making them harder to keep clean. Will very likely try another brand next time.

    Been a Zenni customer for many years until last month when I tried to order new progressive lens glasses in frame 419012, the same frame and very close to the same Rx as I have been getting from Zenni for years. Website now stated this frame not suitable for progressive lenses. I asked several times during different conversations with different people why they could not again do what they had done several times (6?, 8?) for me before. Responses included frame too small, equipment could not produce after new setup, customers complained their glasses not satisfactory.

    I use my glasses primarily for their reading Rx although they do include a slight distance correction. I asked the website to show me frames suitable for my progressive lenses and from those I chose and ordered frame 416312. These glasses did not work; there was virtually no space for distance correction and the entire lens seemed devoted to the reading correction. This was essentially a half frame and distant vision achieved only by looking over the frame. This was particularly annoying as one reason given for not being able to use frame 419012 was that it was too small for progressives; the reality is that the replacement frame, 416312, is close to half the size of 419012.

    These glasses were not suitable as they did not, and apparently could not, accommodate everything from distance to reading which is what I had with frame 419012. I returned them after speaking with a Zenni rep. I had not been told that I would be returned only half of what I had paid for these unusable glasses. I have since ordered, received, and use eyeglasses purchased from another online vendor who was able to provide virtually the same frame as 419012 with the desired progressive lenses. Got to wonder why they could do it and Zenni could not.

    During my various discussions with Zenni I asked if it were possible the website was mistakenly programmed to identify this frame as unsuitable for progressive lenses. No one to whom I spoke acknowledged this possibility or said they would look into that possibility. Bottom line: I have spent hours (literally) on the phone with Zenni trying, without success, to reorder eyewear purchased from them many times previously, have never been given a firm reason why I could not purchase again, and have paid half the cost of a pair of classes for this experience. I do not need to deal with Zenni again although, in all fairness, my dealings with the company had been very satisfactory until this incident.

    I have been using Zenni for 6, 7 or more years now - I honestly forget - and must say having freedom from Australia's price-gouging opticians is a God-send. A "discount" pair of glasses here, with basic lenses and a single oleophobic coating will set you back a *minimum* of $200; "$99" if you believe the hype, but to get that price you have to buy 2. *giggle*, fun, isn't it. Every time I walk past an optician's in my city, I just shake my head at their nonsense pricing, and walk on.

    I took a chance on Zenni way back when the website was very plain, and the prices matched - I think I struggled to find a pair over $30 way back then. It was so long ago that when they migrated their website from the original to the current, my first order didn't make the cut and got left behind. :) And since, I've ordered every 18 months to two years - 4 or 5 pairs at a time. I figure at Zenni's prices, I don't care if I sit or stand on a pair or two. There's always one in the car, another in the kitchen, lounge, bedroom, bathroom - it's almost a plague. It's great!

    Out of all the pairs I've had, only one had an issue - a mis-set lens on one side of an acetate frame. To be honest, I never bothered complaining, returning or even enquiring; I just wore them around the house when cleaning or outdoors mowing the lawn rather than taking them out in public. For $9.95, it really didn't seem worth the hassle to either myself or Zenni.

    I'm building up to my bi-annual spend-a-thon, and per my tradition, I'll be trying new and more interesting things. I'm getting older, so I'm going to invest in some bifocals and one each of their range of progressive lenses, so I can settle on my favourite before making that my default order, rather than my current single visions. At Zenni's prices and with my personal experience of their quality over so many years, I'm happy to have a relationship with a company which prices such a luxury within my reach. I might even lash out and try something super-cool like a pair of prescription sunnies with standard progressives - so the reading window is clear of tint. Then I'll just need to find the tour bus to sit on while I gaze out the window with the top half and skim over the route notes with the bottom...that's what I call luxury.

    Delivery times for single vision lenses has always been great to Australia. They've often reached me well within the 10 day window; far faster than items coming in from other areas of Asia which didn't require the personal handling of prescription eyewear. And the single-rate delivery charge is a blessing - I can't even send a parcel of comparable size anywhere in Australia for the price Zenni charge for delivery from overseas. Fabulous stuff.

    Zenni was incapable of creating my prescription as the doctor ordered and I was unaware of their inability to handle all the measurements when I ordered. Also, their blue light filter is non-functional. By policy they refuse to refund, only want to give store credit, which is useless to me as they cannot create the prescription as written. I have filed a complaint with the BBB.

    A friend of mine that I worked with had used Zenni Optical four years ago and she said it was great and I need to try it. So, next time I needed glasses, I gave it a shot. And then, the first glasses I got were just basic glasses, but they were just as good as the ones I paid $500 for from the eye doctor. It was a good thing. I bought another pair that was a little bit different style. And since then, I’ve bought about five pairs.

    My most recent pair was just a plain, rectangular, red. I'm a big Alabama football fan and I go to Alabama games. I need some red glasses to go to the games. And there was a special for Christmas. I bought them about then and I got this for $83, which is incredible because I have progressive glasses and astigmatism, so it’s not simple.

    My purchase experience was really easy. I just put in the prescription. Measuring is the only thing I gotta do, which they told me how to do it. It worked out well. Somebody asked me when I did it, I replied and I had been telling everybody they gotta go to Zenni.com, and they asked, “How do they adjust your glasses?” I was like, I’ve never really needed adjusting. My experience with Zenni has been really good. They have a really good deal and I've been very pleased.

    Over the last 8 months, I have returned 3 pairs of glasses. I found out each time that they did not meet “their expectations” as far as matching the prescription goes. My prescription had not changed, rather, they had failed to thoroughly check the glasses each time, resulting in each of these returns. Of course, each time, I was assured that they would be checked before shipping, but here we are. Finally, this last time, I spoke to a manager, who, in his defense, allowed me to keep the pair that I had been given while he made sure that he processed a new pair which would not be shipped until they met off of their quality expectations. I was informed that this would take roughly 2 weeks. Six weeks later, I am still waiting, and my order on their website says “complete.”

    I ordered progressive lenses and cannot see out of them. The reading part is so tiny that I can’t use it. I did the online chat and the representative was rude and condescending. I asked for him to send me a copy of our conversation, he said he would, I never received it. I explained to him that I have progressive lenses and do not have issues with them. He went on to tell me how progressive lenses work in a sarcastic way. I again told him I have had them for years and know how they work. I have single vision glasses that are great and I am satisfied with, it’s the progressive pair.

    I will be returning all five pair just because of the poor customer service. I would have kept the single vision glasses but not after the live chat. I will do business with another online company that backs its product and has professional customer service representatives. How convenient I was disconnected before finishing our conversation and he never emailed me the transcript as promised. I’m glad I did get some screen shots promising me this.

    I order glasses that were never delivered. USPS even says not delivered. When confronting the company about this that my order was lost in the mail they wanted me to jump through hoops to fix something that I shouldn't be responsible for. Waited over an hour to chat with someone and told me I have to wait 24-48 hours for an email and to respond to this email about this issue. I said screw this and disputed my credit card. I gave Zenni multiple opportunities to fix this. Horrible business, customer service, and policies. This company really made me mad. Didn't even get to see quality, tell everyone don't order from this horrible business.

    Purchased additional frame to replace frame that I previously bought from Zenni.

    [1] Could not get old lenses in new frame. Watched their video. Tried for an hour. DOES NOT FIT.
    [2] Spent 35 minutes on hold for Customer Service. Disconnected 3 times by their phone system in the process.

    [3] Zenni offered nothing other than giving me a 50% refund for the replacement frame only.

    So now I have a a broken old frame, two lenses and a new frame that the lenses do not fit into. Waste of time and money.

    Everything's good with our experience with Zenni. We have a friend that uses them for her little boy and they have so far been the best one. My two-year-old child really enjoys the glasses.     I feel really good about the frames I've ordered from Zenni Optical. For my first, pair, I sent the prescription in wrong and that was my fault.     My experience was bad. Glasses frames ok but my scrip was so off so I returned. They took forever to review everything then gave me a choice of 100% credit or 50% refund which I never did receive even after month. Buyers beware. Go some place else for your eye glasses. Don't trust Zenni.

    Got my second pair of Zenni glasses in the mail yesterday. They look better in-person than they did online. The prescription was accurately translated onto the lenses. The look is fantastic. They're nice glasses. Even better than the $300 pair of optometrist glasses they replaced. The fit was almost right-on. Needed to adjust the nose-pads slightly.     I was visiting some friends and the guy had gotten some new glasses from Zenni. He told me about it, so I looked it up. So far, I’ve ordered four times from them and this current pair that I’m wearing regularly is the one that I was closest to looking for when I first started. But I generally like the rimless style, though not the kind with screws. And this has a little band that goes around the lens, so they kinda look like rimless glasses. I’ve worn each pair I got from Zenni for about a year but I expect that I’d wear this pair longer than that because I like these a lot better than the first two pairs I got. However, it wasn’t that there was anything wrong with them. It’s just that I wasn’t crazy about the style.

    Other than that, my wife and I both wear glasses and we both order at the same time. But this last time, I was just ordering for myself and I thought I had the correct prescription. But when I got the glasses, I realized that it was the wrong prescription. What happened was, I’ve already got my prescription in there and when I went in to order, I went to my last order and I missed seeing the one place where it said which prescription was my prescription. And that happened to me twice. The first time, she kept the glasses and she went ahead and wore them. This last time, she didn't really want them. But I reached out to Zenni and they took care of that without any problem. The only issue was that when I ordered this last pair, I ordered with the deal of getting 20% off and because they weren’t the right ones and I returned them, I couldn't get the same discount when I reordered. It wasn’t a big deal, but that was why I waited till then to order.

    I researched online and found Zenni. The quality is good against its cost and the glasses fit so my son could see. But it’s a little frustrating how long it takes to get the product to you.     The quality of the glasses is fine, and all the aspects of ordering went well. The weak link in their process is getting the correct ocular distance (distance between pupils). This is done by looking in a mirror and measuring the distance with a metric ruler. This is a very unscientific process, and if you get it wrong, it is your responsibility. If you go to an optometrist, they will make this measurement with special equipment, or by someone with experience.

    I sent mine back and they checked to see if they were made properly. They confirmed that they were made to specs and sent them back. I have no way of knowing if I measured properly or not, and in any case, my glasses are useless. Every other part of the ordering process is very well implemented, including the ability to "try on" various frames. The one hitch is the process for measuring the ocular distance, this is crude and likely to introduce errors. Zenni takes responsibility for meeting the prescription, and for quality of the product in every respect, except for this. Great product, great price. Useless glasses.

Consequently, we apologize for any disappointment you experienced as a result. Insofar as you advised our customer service representative that you could see distances well with these glasses, but that the relatively narrow progressive reading corridor (approximately 12-14 millimeters wide) hampered your intermediate and near vision, we believe that the pupillary distance (PD), to which you refer as ocular distance, is most likely correct, since you would not be able to focus both eyes together well for distance vision, as well as intermediate and near vision, if the PD was incorrect. We were sorry to read that you find that measuring the PD is difficult. We hope that you used our instructions on the website, found in the How to Measure Your PD infographic (https://www.zennioptical.com/measuring-pd-infographic) and the how-to video (https://www.zennioptical.com/c/how-to#howto-measure-pd) at the bottom of every Zenni Optical page. We see an order from April 2018 with a different prescription and the same PD, 63 mm, you entered on this order. We want to mention that you could visit a local optical retailer or a big box store such as a Costco, Target, or Walmart, that has an optical department, and ask them to measure your PD for you. They will most likely do it for you as a courtesy or a small fee. However, since the issue you mention to our representative is the progressive reading corridor, we want to recommend ordering bifocals, which provide distance vision in the larger carrier lens, and near vision in the bifocal segment lens, which, at 28 mm wide, is approximately twice the width of the progressive reading corridor. However, since you asked us to return the glasses after our inspection found that they were made correctly, we want to advise that to use the progressive reading corridor effectively, we recommend pointing your nose at what you are viewing on the computer or reading, rather than moving your eyes from side to side, since there is no vision correction on either side of the progressive reading corridor. We hope that this information is helpful, and that it helps to resolve this matter to your satisfaction.     At Zenni, I wish it would be easier to understand what their sizing is. Their site is great at teaching me what the blockers mean and why I should get them in my glasses. It also shows me what looks good on each face. However, they don't do a great job telling me what sizes I shouldn't get. I have a small size and I should be in the children's section.

    There was one time when I realized that Zenni had put in the wrong prescription for my glasses which was totally my error. Their reps were very helpful but then I wish they would've been clearer on getting the refund as opposed to saying that it would go to my Zenni account. To me, that wasn't very clear so I went ahead and ordered the glasses. The next day, I got $48 in my Zenni account when I thought that was going into my bank account. Still, that wasn't a huge problem as their glasses are cheap enough. Other than this misunderstanding, Zenni has been super great.

Regarding the size of our frames, we want to advise that under the enlarged picture of every frame on our website, we show the dimensions of each frame element, in millimeters. The frame from your first order, placed in May 2018, is model 109325, a full-rim, acetate tortoiseshell frame. The frame width, the most important measurement that will determine whether the frame will fit you well, is 140 mm, which we consider a large frame. We see no notes in the database record of this order indicating that you had an issue with this frame. Your second order, placed in November 2019, which you contacted us to cancel because an incorrect prescription was entered, has frame 206815, a round, flexible plastic ombre frame, brown on top, clear on the bottom. The frame width is 139 mm, close to that of the first frame you ordered. You again selected this frame on your December 2019 order.     I just ordered my second pair. Can't wait to get them. Last year I ordered a pair and UPS sent my package back, UPS's mistake. Zenni was awesome and sent it back with expedited shipping without charging me again. I just chose a different address since UPS wouldn't leave my package at my duplex home. My glasses had a tough life and only broke when someone stepped on them after I had them over 1 year. The only con to my glasses would be the arm hinges are really loose and tightening the screw didn't help. They were loose after a few months. But none the less 100% recommend to everyone.     I've ordered several pairs of glasses from Zenni, but my most recent order was a complete failure in terms of product and customer service. My prescription has remained the same so I know when a pair of glasses feel "off." I notified their customer service the day I received my faulty pair of glasses and they stated I could return them for an "inspection" which would take 10 business days. Otherwise, I could request a refund of 50%, or store credit but they wouldn't honor the original discount I placed the order under. Completely unfair considering the issue originates with faulty craftsmanship. I will no longer give Zenni my business nor recommend them to my friends and family.

I ordered three pairs of the same glasses in different colors of blue, black, and brown. They have plastic frames and then, I ordered one pair of sunglasses too, which have bigger plastic frames. So far, I've purchased six times from them but their website was not super easy to navigate through with the different styles.     I heard about Zenni Optical two years ago from a young lady I know who works at a particular job in my town but I’ve forgotten about them because I've been without glasses for a while. My glasses ended up breaking, but I work for a call center so I need glasses to see the screen. One of my co-workers was telling a story about purchasing several pairs of glasses from Zenni and a couple of other co-workers. So, I just went ahead and browsed through the site. I like the website a whole lot. At first, I had an issue with understanding the PD because mine is 31. I tried to order and a few times when I tried calling them, it was over an hour before I spoke with anyone, which was when the co-worker told me about Zenni again. So, I called and spoke with the young lady, and she said to put 62 in. She walked me through the whole site.

    I found some glasses I like and ordered three pairs. I stopped wearing the metal a long time ago because of the middle piece so, I just stuck to the plastic frame and I went with the rectangular one. I ordered two of the same frames, but one in a purple color, one in a black color, and then I ordered some that has the frame of sunglasses. They can be either sunglasses or regular glasses and so, they're just a little bit bigger than my rectangular frames. Then I have the slide-on clip for the shade. I was thinking about calling back to see if I can get some more of the slide-on clips for my other two glasses. I’m very satisfied with Zenni plus, I can see. The frames that I like cost only 6.95 and because my PD was just a little bit high, it only cost $9. So, I paid $15 and some change for each pair of glasses. I used to pay $500 for two pairs of glasses and then would not be able to see out of them.

    I ordered from Zenni and they sent me glasses with the wrong prescription. They said it was my fault but there was no way that it was. I mailed them back their glasses but I was not able to find the completion of a resolution without standing up against them. They were quoting me stuff that wasn't true and they were blaming it on me when I knew it wasn't me 'cause I still had the information on my phone. They told me I was SOL because I typed it in wrong. But there was no way that I did 'cause I went back and checked it. When I requested a manager, he came back and corrected it. They gave me a hard time.     I ordered my first pair from Zenni Optical back in 2010 and was very pleased with them. The same goes for other orders since then including this most recent one this year. Frame 3216619, from your October 2019 order, has a much narrower frame width, 131 mm. You July order has frame 962811, with a 142 mm frame width. Since there are no notes in the database records of any of these orders regarding the sizes of these frames, we do not know whether the narrower frames or the wider frames fit you better.     Overall it was a great experience that I had with Zenni. I would recommend to all my friends which I've always had. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience. I wouldn't say this was a bad experience but the glasses I wanted to order I couldn't get because of my prescription. Just wish there were a option to either get a larger or smaller size of lens in the same style. So I had to settle for different glasses. Not a big deal as there is so much offered. Another thing is that I would like to see a place to comment when ordering prescriptions. As I always like my bifocal a millimeter to a millimeter and a half lower than usual. But I can deal with the typical spot. But these are just recommendations to better the customers' appreciation of the company.
