    I ordered a pair of ANSI 87+ safety glasses. The frame quality was excellent. Very sturdy. The lenses were well made and very accurate to my progressive prescription. The price was lower than I could find anywhere. I’d like a more choice in frame styles. But safety glasses are hardly a fashion statement. I'm satisfied with my purchase. I also ordered daily wear glasses with clip on sunglasses. I like the clip on options and very low prices.     Your prices are fair, and the shopping is easy, but there are not enough options for adults with smaller faces. Everything I order from you is too large, and I can't get the lenses I need in most kids' frames.

However, we want to confirm that we have many frames with narrower frame widths, such as 4433023, a full-rim, round, acetate, spring-hinged, translucent frame, with a frame width of 123 mm. You may not like this frame, but it is narrow, and it accommodates progressive prescriptions. We have many other narrow frames that also accommodate progressive prescriptions. In addition, to assist you in determining the frame size you need for a frame to fit you well, we want to recommend the information we provide in an infographic found toward the middle of the bottom of every page of our website: How to Measure Your Frame Size: https://www.zennioptical.com/measure-eyeglass-frame-size-how-to.     Updated on 06/19/2021: I think it is important for consumers to know the truth about this company. In response to my earlier review Zenni simply copy/pasted language about what polarized sunglasses are rather than address the real concern. The truth is that they have received complaints about their very poor, splotchy polarization process yet their customer service agents feign ignorance. While Zenni has cute frames at great prices I learned that you truly "get what you pay for" when it comes to their "polarized" sunglasses.

    Original: Horrible Customer Service. Up until now I have been very pleased with this company. Over the past year I have ordered six pairs of glasses from them (to switch it up on Zoom calls) and five of them were perfect. This last pair clearly has a defect on both lenses. Rather than take my word for it, I've been asked to take pictures of the lenses which is impossible to capture the defect because they are sunglasses. They even asked me to sit in my car to take the picture; still not sure how that would make a difference.

    I finally found some lighting that allowed me to get some shots where you can see the black spots on the lenses and I also sent a photo that someone posted on the web that more clearly represents what is wrong with the glasses. In response I received an unintelligible email; I mean I really don't know what the person was trying to say. I'm comparing this experience to another company I purchased glasses from recently. In that situation there was a blemish of some sort on each lens and all I had to do was tell them about it and I received a brand new pair in one week. Now THAT is good customer service.

We understand that we emailed you instructions to return the polarized sunglasses to us for an inspection, and we will be happy to inspect the glasses when we receive them. Nevertheless, we want to confirm that what you are experiencing when you look through these lenses at various objects is a natural feature of polarized lenses, and we are also sorry that, when you contacted us about this matter, we did not explain why you are seeing these spots, especially when you provided several photographs of the lenses that display this feature. Therefore, we also want to provide some information we hope will be helpful.

    Polarized lenses reduce glare by blocking horizontal light rays.

    Why horizontal? Light comes from the sun in all directions, and it is reflected in every direction, too. When it reflects from light-colored horizontal surfaces – such as a white sidewalk, a white-sand beach, snow, or sunlight reflecting on water – it is said to be polarized horizontally. Light that is polarized horizontally is responsible for most of the glare that interferes with our vision.

    How do polarized lenses work? To understand this, it is useful to think of window blinds. Venetian blinds are horizontal. When Venetian blinds are open, light comes into the room in horizontal stripes, depending on the angle of the sun and the angle the blinds are open.

    Polarized lenses are more like vertical blinds. When vertical blinds are open at a certain angle, light comes into the room in vertical stripes. Since horizontally reflected light is responsible for most of the glare we see, the polarized tint is placed on the sunglass lens in vertically angled strips. These vertical strips of tint allow vertically reflected light into the eye but block horizontally reflected light – greatly reducing horizontally polarized glare.

    Most polarized lenses are sunglasses. Polarized sunglasses are especially popular with boaters since water is a very reflective surface on a sunny day. Polarized sunglasses are also great for other outdoor activities, such as golfing and tennis since they can help to sharpen the focus on the ball. They can also be good for driving, since polarized lenses reduce the glare that reflects from the shiny hood of a car, or the glare from the surface of the road on a hot, sunny day.

    However, in some situations there can be drawbacks to polarized lenses. They can be problematic for skiing, since blocking the reflected glare off an icy patch might prevent the skier from noticing and steering away from a potential hazard.

    In addition, it can sometimes be difficult to read liquid crystal display (LCD) or light-emitting diode (LED) screens on a boat or plane’s instrument panel while wearing polarized sunglasses. This could interfere with the pilot’s ability to clearly read and quickly respond to the information on the instrument panel. This could also apply to the global positioning system (GPS) and other displays of a car’s dashboard, a smartphone, an ATM, or a self-service gas pump.

    An oddity you may notice while wearing polarized sunglasses is that when you look at your car’s rear or side window from the outside, or perhaps the windows on an office building, you may see splotchy, iridescent spots. When you remove your polarized sunglasses, these spots are invisible.

    This effect is created because you are looking at heat-tempered glass. The heat-tempering creates several stress points on the glass, enabling the glass, when broken, to crumble into small, granular chunks, which are safer than splitting the glass into sharp, jagged shards. The stress points also reflect the light in different directions from the parts of the glass that do not have these stress points. The stress points prevent the polarized lens from filtering out the light evenly across the surface of the glass, creating the splotchy, iridescent effect.

    We hope that this information is helpful, and we look forward to receiving these returned polarized sunglasses, so that we may inspect them and email you the inspection results. If our inspection finds any defects on the lenses, we can remake them for you for free. If our inspection finds no defects, we can return the glasses to you or, since this order was paid for with a gift card, issue a 100 percent refund of the price of the glasses in the form of store credit to your Zenni account, which we hope will resolve this matter to your satisfaction.

    The frames on these glasses are awful. If you move your head just slightly they rattle like crazy. Even after taking an eyeglass repair kit to them they still rattle to the point of annoyance. But the frames aren't why I'm writing this review. It is actually Zenni themselves. When I ordered these glasses I was hit with a hidden fee of $12 with no reasoning as to the $12 fee. Now that the glasses have arrived at my doorstep they suck, after checking with my eye doctor a few times and quadruple checking my prescription the glasses are blurry, they lack the usual crispness of a good pair of glasses. Plus the frames dig obnoxiously into my head.

    Finally called Zenni after giving the glasses 2 days of trial and was offered to send them back and pay shipping for a store credit (one pair of glasses already sucked, good chance the others would suck too.) Or I could get half of what I paid for the glasses deposited back into my account along with paying shipping to get them back to Zenni and the only way to get a full refund is if I send them back to Zenni and the lab checks the lenses. Let's be honest though. Even if I did this and the lenses were wrong do you think Zenni would admit a mistake? So to recap zenni's customer service department is terrible, they charge you extra fees if you don't have almost perfect vision, the quality of glasses rattle like crazy and you won't see your full amount of money back. Never by from Zenni!!!! They are not transparent!

We believe that the problematic frame is 3216819, since in your Chat session with our representative, you indicate that the person for whom you ordered the single-vision distance glasses in 3217012 is not you, that they specifically did not want multifocal glasses, and that you were glad that the reading-addition correction that was on the prescription copy you provided, +1.50 for bifocals, +1.75 for progressives, was not included for the eyeglasses for this individual. Insofar as you asked about the $12.00 extra-strength charge for the glasses in 3216819, we want to confirm that the left eye (OS) Cylinder of -3.00 necessitated this extra-strength charge. Therefore, we believe that you ordered the eyeglasses in 3216819 for yourself. We were also sorry to read the notes in the database record of this order that although our customer service representative advised of our return options, you declined to return the glasses for an inspection or for one of our two refund options – either a 100 percent refund of the price of the glasses in the form of store credit to your Zenni account or a 50 percent refund to the credit card you used to pay for the order. Moreover, we were also sorry to read that you twice inaccurately stated that you would have to pay the cost of shipping to return the glasses to us, whereas we email customers prepaid mailing labels to use for return postage. We were disappointed to read your comment that if we received the glasses back for an inspection, we would not accurately provide the results of the inspection. When we hear from customers who confirm that they entered the prescription correctly, as you did with prescription copies for these two pairs of glasses, and they say there is a vision issue with the glasses, when we receive the returned glasses for an inspection, if our inspection finds any manufacturing errors on the glasses, we offer to remake the glasses for the customer for free. We hope that you will reconsider your decision not to return these glasses either for an inspection or for one of the refund options.

    We bought glasses from Zenni for every member of our family. We all bought rimmed glasses. Then I did a more recent order because my son had broken his. I just placed the order online and got my orders in the mail. The only thing is I don't know what the expectation is if the glasses don't quite fit the head the way they ought to or if they need some adjusting. If there's some way you can kind of warm the frame and do some adjusting yourself or any tips about that would be helpful.

    Zenni has a lot of options. I'm more of a plain-Jane, but I'm willing to try other kinds and I wanna get some cheetah ones. I got sunglasses this time for myself but I did actual glasses for my son and he loved it. They came in their own little hard cases and a cloth. It was nice. The glasses were very well made, especially for the price. I had to send my stuff back because I didn't properly measure the width of my eyes so they didn't fit my face very well. I used a measuring tape from home and it was not very accurate. But when Zenni sent me my stuff, it included a little measuring thing so now, I get to do it the right way. I emailed them to return the glasses and they said I can get 100% credit because I still want to go through them, which is what I'm gonna choose to do. Zenni is awesome.

    I had ordered some sunglasses on my first order and they werent the size that I expected to fit my face. So I sent back and reorder two new pair that I checked the size to make sure they would be big enough for my face. They arent the fit that was advertised. I want to return and order new, but I dont like the policy that is in place. I feel if you should receive 100% store credit it makes the customer want to purchase again. So now I'm stuck with wanting to keep something I'm not happy with or loose out on money and return and search again.

One frame was full-rim, aviator, stainless-steel, spring-hinged, pink frame 419019, with a frame width of 140 millimeters. The other frame was full-rim, square, plastic, white frame 124130, with a frame width of 142 mm. You returned these two pairs of sunglasses to us for a 100 percent refund of their price in the form of store credit to your Zenni account. You used the store credit (along with an additional payment from your credit card) toward the purchase of two new pairs of sunglasses in two new frames: full-rim, aviator, stainless-steel, spring-hinged, pink frame 418919, with a frame width of 147 mm, and full-rim, square, plastic, teal frame 124116, with a frame width of 142 mm. Insofar as you advised that the frame dimensions listed on the website did not match the dimensions of the frames you received, we apologize if we did not accurately list the frame dimensions on our website.     I love the green frames but could not see out of the glasses. I have no idea what happened but they are not suitable for reading or indeed seeing anything! I was going to return them but it cost $8.00 so I just kept the frames. It was a mess. I got some glasses from the drugstore and that is how I am typing this.

    Happy with 2 of the 3 pairs. One of the pair looking into the lenses doesn't look right. Can't wear them. They almost seem as if they are not the right prescription or just the way they are so extremely dark. Bought a similar pair with that order and they are fine.

    Overall I am satisfied with both the prescription sunglasses and prescription glasses. However, it would be really nice to know exactly what the sizes are of the lenses. I tried, unsuccessfully, to use the Try them on portion of the ordering but either my computer didn't work or the website didn't work. The lenses are an okay size for both pairs of glasses but I would have preferred to have something a little larger. Taking them to a local eye doctor's office for fitting.

    The glasses I got from Zenni Optical didn't work. So, I sent them back, and that was about 10 days ago and I haven't heard anything yet. What happened was I had an exam, and then I ordered my glasses. I got just single vision for distance. When I put them on, vertical surfaces were slanted and stuff on the floor was coming up a little higher. So, I went back to my eye doctor and I said, “Is something wrong with the prescription?” She put on the tester glasses with that prescription, and I put them on and nothing was wrong. That was what I told Zenni and I sent them her prescription and I sent the glasses back.

    They needed the prescription, which I emailed. Then they sent me the label. I wrapped it up and put it with the FedEx label and brought it to the store, and I haven't heard anything yet. I didn't want a refund. I just wanted them to remake them so that I could have them. If they can't remake them, I will take the refund. If I could go to my doctor's office and she puts on these trainer glasses and they work perfectly, I think Zenni should be able to do the same thing. Other than that, I always order from Zenni. I like Zenni.

    I tried to order my mom glasses and I've done three pairs. They all came back where she can't see through them. We put the new prescription in and they're just not working for her. But Zenni’s website seems easy to manage and the purchase process is nice. They need to come up with better cases for their glasses though.

    I've been a long time zenni advocate. For reasons possibly completely explainable the last 3 pairs of glasses I've purchased from Zenni have all had their own variation of focal oddities. I have a very very slight prescription for distance and a not very large adjustment for near vision, I've been purchasing no-line multi-focals. One pair focuses on near sight at an odd spot in the glasses, the latest pair is fine sitting at my computer but I cannot even use them outside, driving or anywhere I'm looking more than 20-30' away. To be fair it is very likely time for me to have another eye exam, and the prices one pays at Zenni is so much cheaper than at the local store that I've lived with the less than perfect results but this review should stand to highlight the potential downsides.

    I started researching what monopolies are and Zenni is one of the first examples of someone who's trying to fight a monopoly right now. I ordered from them using my boyfriend's a prescription and I didn't know anything about prescription at all, so it was confusing trying to enter the prescription stuff in. We entered it after I made an account and all I had to do was find the preferred glasses style that I thought would look really good. Then we applied the prescription to the glasses of our choice. And it did make the process very simple and very good for someone who doesn't like going to the eye doctor very often.

    The shipping was pretty decent as well. They said I'd get my order in two to three weeks and I got it around the two-week mark. The quality of the product is also very impressive. I was expecting it to be a little bit cheaper looking but it came out much higher quality than we originally thought. We'll probably end up going back and buying more glasses eventually.

    I ordered frames and progressive lenses. Love the frames. They are made well, they’re comfortable and built to last. The progressive lenses are off...I took them to an optometrist to see if the prescription was incorrect. She could not determine if the prescription was off because there are no “markings” on the lenses to indicate where each progression starts and ends. I think Zenni would benefit its customers if said "markings" were incorporated in their lenses. End result is that I had to have the optometrist cut new lenses.

We were happy to learn that you love the frame you selected – full-rim, square, metal, spring-hinged, graphite and blue frame 159521 – but we were sorry to read that your vision was not good through the lenses of the standard progressive glasses you ordered. Consequently, we apologize for any dissatisfaction you experienced as a result. Your comment about your optometrist’s observation of the absence of markings on the lenses was apt, since progressive lenses should have little engravings with plus marks (+) on the sides of the lenses that indicate where the progressive reading corridor is placed on the lenses. When you returned these glasses to us for an inspection, just like your optometrist, our inspector also was unable to see the engravings on the lenses, which should be discernable to an inspector or an eye doctor, and, if you look very closely at the lenses, perhaps by you, although they should be subtle enough that they do not in any respect interfere with your vision. We were very sorry that the absence of these engravings prevented your optometrist and our inspector from determining where the progressive reading corridor was placed on the lenses. Because of the absence of these engravings, had everything been entered correctly on the order, we would have offered you a free remake of the glasses. However, because your pupillary distance (PD) was entered as 50 millimeters rather than the correct PD value, 56 mm, we regret that our policy states that if the customer enters anything incorrectly on the order, the return option becomes one of our two refund options – either a 50 percent refund of the price of the glasses to the source of payment, in this case a PayPal account, or a 100 percent refund of the price of the glasses in the form of store credit to your Zenni account. You selected the latter option, and it was good to see that you used the store credit toward the purchase of a new pair of progressive glasses in the same frame, and we see that those glasses were delivered to you one month ago, on April 5, 2021.     I got on Zenni and the first pair of glasses I ordered was $60, which was good for me because they last six to eight months. It's better than paying $200. I started using Zenni then. It's really handy that I can upload my prescription on their website and it's cool that I can keep it uploaded on there. It's also cool that I can customize my glasses. I can put something on my glasses like saying, "If found, call such and such." Also, I like how the tool lets me know what my face looks like with the glasses on and I like how the site lets me pick individual type lenses. I get the recommended lenses and if it's too expensive, I can always dial it down.

    The only thing I really didn't like was I bought a tool set to loosen them up but the screwdriver wasn't small enough for the glass screws. It was still okay, though, because I made something work. Other than that, it’s a decent site. I don't expedite because it's about the same price whether I do it or not. I’m gonna get it about the same day, so it'll be 5 to 7 business days or it could be 7 to 10 business days. It takes about a week for me to get mine when I don't expedite it, so it's pretty cool for me. It's a really good site. When you first get to it and you get the recommended, it might be a little expensive but it's cheaper than paying for a whole set of glasses right then and there. Also, it's worth it in the long run. You get your money's worth of glasses.

    I appreciated the prices Zenni offered other than my eye doctor that I've been going through for two to three years. I kind of like Ray-Ban styled glasses, some kind of nicer glasses rather than your average plastic ones. That would be what I would always get from my eye doctor. I would always have to wait for my insurance to kick in every year or two years so I could re-up on my glasses because if you get prescribed Ray-Ban glasses, they might run about $300 out of pocket. So, once I got older and started paying for the glasses myself, I looked at Zenni and they had a lot of glasses in the styles that I like in way better, more affordable prices, and I never looked back ever since.

    The glasses I order from Zenni come faster. I've been ordering from them for about three years or so now. They usually say it will take around four weeks, and I've gotten them as quick as two weeks before. Another time that I've ordered, it did take that four weeks. But I've been okay with waiting a month and they've gotten here faster than I expected before.

    First I say thank you for bringing RX glasses at the prices you offer. A pair of rx bifocal glasses I purchased from Zenni cost $47. A pair almost identical to the $47 Zenni glasses purchased from my local optometrist cost $330. The only issue I’d like to see in the future is a category of frames for people with high correction lens. My lens are +500 and up.

    A lot times I select an advertised frame and go through the steps only to find I can not get them due to the fact my rx is too high. It would be nice to have a category available for people with strong corrections so we would know up front the frames available for our correction. I have been disappointed many times trying to select an advertised frame only to find out once I get into selecting the lens rx I can’t have them due to the strong rx. I would hope this review gets read and truly considered. It’s already a bummer having bad eyes. Then it makes it even more stressful to have to keep trying to fit my rx in to a pair of frames. I appreciate Zenni and recommend you to anyone I can. The savings on glasses allows me to have several pairs instead of one. It’s not your fault I have terrible vision. But then you could make the purchase experience a lot more user friendly for all the people like me by considering adding a category for strong rx lens.

    This is my third pair of glasses from Zenni, the first two were spot on, my current pair? Not even close! I wanted to return them and then found out that to have a package of that size sent back to China with a tracking number that follows it from start to finish is over $50! The CCP, or the Chinese government, subsidizes those companies who ship to the US, that's why most don't charge for shipping costs, so you would think they could absorb the cost of returns, especially if they had any real confidence in their product. Also, this pair has lenses that everything sticks to, and is almost impossible to clean, while my first two pairs didn't. I have used Zenni because of cost, as I am a disabled senior living on a very fixed income, and for them to expect me to foot the bill for shipping on their mistakes doesn't resonate well with me.

It saved me too. They can’t check your eyes online but I get my prescription for 25 off. I fill out the paperwork and order it online. Then I put me a pair on that I like on the computer. I like that process. It works really well. The first pair I got was a bad. It was supposed to have been -1.75 but they had put plus so when I got it, all of it was bifocals.     In middle school, I got my first pair of glasses and they were outrageously expensive. They were over $200 or $300.     I love the glasses that I got from Zenni and I'm getting a lot of compliments on them. I ended up getting the cut engraving on the corners of the wands and a lot of people find them to be very quirky. They also really love the way that the frames have that wood graining work appearance even though they're plastic. People said they would see my face perfectly and I'm not having any trouble with any tightness around the temples. The glasses are very lovely and I'm really glad that I got them through Zenni because it's accessible and affordable.

    Their website is very intuitive and straightforward. It is very user accessible, too. But I have a very specific pupillary distance, which is 75, and the website said it was unusual. So not only did they keep trying to tell me that my pupillary distance was wrong, but it did unfortunately, downsize my choices because of that very specific size. I still found very wonderful glasses in spite of that, but they should have a little bit more availability. Other than that, the website is clean and I found a lot of styles there that I normally wouldn't find going to the eye doctor.

    The ordering process at Zenni was very simple. The longest part was picking out my frame just because I'm super picky. We used the virtual try-on and then I really enjoyed being able to pick out frames based on the measurement of the arms and the nose bridge inside. I purchased glasses that were both full-frame. I liked how it looked. One pair is really lightweight, but it was sturdy. That other pair is a really nice plastic frame that I really enjoy. I would definitely recommend using Zenni. Regarding the size of the frames, we see that you have a strong farsighted prescription, which results in thicker lenses than lenses of someone with a milder prescription. Nevertheless, there are things you can do when you select frames to mitigate the thickness of the lenses. We were happy to see that you have recently selected high-index lenses, in the 1.67 and 1.74 index, which should reduce the thickness of the lenses. However, we also want to mention another factor that contributes to the thickness of the lens: the lens width. We want to advise that lens widths below 50 millimeters, preferably lens widths between 45-48 mm, will help to reduce the thickness of the lenses. A review of the frames you have recently selected, which have frame widths between 129 and 138 mm, are frame widths that can support lenses narrower than 50 mm. The frame from your most recent order, full-rim, rectangular, flexible-plastic, black frame 243621, has a frame width of 129 millimeters, a lens width of 51 mm, a bridge of 16 mm, and temple arms 145 mm long. Each order has two pairs of glasses, and each pair of glasses is a pair of progressive glasses, which has three focal fields – distance (driving), intermediate (computer), and near (reading) vision, with no visible line separating these three focal fields. Bifocals have two focal fields, distance and reading, with the reading section in a bifocal segment lens separated from the distance-vision lens with a noticeable line. Each one of the eight pairs of glasses on these four orders has a different pupillary distance (PD) and a different prescription, except for the two pairs of glasses on your May 27, 2018, order, o1349948697, which have different prescriptions but the same PD, and the two pairs of glasses on your September 18, 2016, order, o643624485, which have the same prescription but different PDs. However, since neither prescription on the most recently placed order matches any of the prescriptions on the previous orders, we do not know which pair of glasses on the order you most recently placed is yours. Nevertheless, since the May 27, 2018, order is the most recent previous order you placed, we understand that prescriptions can change over the course of almost three years.     The glasses we've purchased from Zenni vary because there are four of us in this household. The ordering process is easy but sometimes if I wanna make a change and if I hit the wrong button on the computer, I have to start over from scratch. There's a little bit of a learning curve and getting the right try-on because it says to turn your head slowly to the left and turn your head slowly to the right, but the computer needs to slow down a bit because you're moving slowly and the computer is moving fast. The nose pads on the glasses are a little bit firmer than I'm used to. But all in all, we've been satisfied with what we've got. I've only had one order where the delivery isn't timely but the rest of them have been pretty timely.

I ordered some for my daughter and I will order more for myself because I need one in my car and one in my house. My daughter needs one in her car and in her backpack, and she’s going off to college, so she needs one at her dorm. The frames need some adjusting though, which is the only problem that I have. The glasses on this order with the prescription that matched the prescription you received from your eye doctor and provided to us, which we uploaded to the database record of this order, were ordered as mid-range workspace progressives, with a 1.61 high-index progressive lens and our Blokz™ blue-light-blocking feature. Mid-range workspace progressives are designed to provide good vision up to approximately 10 feet away. The prescription uploaded to the database record of this order also included a note from the eye doctor advising that this prescription is a partial prescription and referring to other plus corrections, the functionality of which was not clarified. Nevertheless, we want to confirm that, unlike bifocals, progressive glasses have no line separating the focal fields on the lenses. You returned these midrange workspace progressive glasses to us for a 100 percent refund of their price in the form of store credit to your Zenni account. You used this store credit toward the purchase of another pair of progressive glasses, in order o3504147904, on February 17, 2021. This time you selected standard progressive glasses, which provide distance (driving), intermediate (computer), and near (reading) vision in the lenses, with no visible line separating these three focal fields. The lens you chose for these glasses was the 1.61 high-index progressive lens with a photochromic (sunlight-sensitive auto-tinting) feature in amber. We were sorry to learn that you could not see well with these glasses, and you provided another prescription copy, which was different from the prescription you provided for your glasses from o3368362112, but which matched what you entered for the standard progressive glasses in order o3504147904. The single pupillary distance (PD) you used for this order, 66 millimeters, was also different from the dual PD you used on your glasses from order o3368362112, 32 (right eye) and 33 (left eye), but you confirmed that your eye doctor provided the PD of 66 mm. You returned these glasses to us for an inspection. We have received the glasses, and we will inspect them soon. When we do, we will email you the inspection results. If our inspection finds any manufacturing errors on the glasses, we can offer to remake them for you for free. If our inspection finds no errors, we can return the glasses to you or, since this order was paid for using a combination of the store credit we issued upon the return of the previous pair of glasses and a credit card, we can issue a 50 percent refund to the credit card of the amount of store credit you used toward the payment of these glasses, and a 100 percent refund in the form of store credit of the amount you spent using the credit card, minus the $4.95 Standard shipping fee, which we do not refund in a situation such as this.     I went online to find online prescribers of glasses. I looked at several of them, and Zenni had the best prices of any of them. Their frames are a lot cheaper and for the same type frames I was just looking at. I said, “Well, let me see if they're good at getting the prescriptions right.” I'm in my 60s, and I do have the progressives. I need the reading portion on the glasses. I said, “But before I order that, let me just order the distance, you know, before you put the add-ons to it, to see if the prescriptions look like they're correct” because they offered the clear plastic lenses. I ordered me a cheap frame, which was under $10. The lenses were free since they were just basic lenses. I got them back and the prescription was spot on. I could see great with it. They're good with the prescription.

    So after that, I ordered regular glasses where I put in the add-on for the reading, and I put in the UV coating and the scratch resistance, which built up the price. But I was confident that the prescription would be right. I got them back, and they were perfect. They were so much less expensive than what I would get from a store provider like an optical shop or even Walmart. They're cheaper than Walmart. So, now I’m sold. It's a good service. I'm pleased with them.

    The only thing I had a little issue with was their virtual trial. To me, that was difficult to get set up. I'm not sure how accurate a representation it was with the frames fitting your face. What I wound up doing was them giving me the dimensions of the frames. I use that as a guideline to compare to old frames that I had. If you go in-store, you can try frames on right there and see how they look. That was a little not too easy, and it's kind of a guesswork. Their Virtual Try-On is not the best system. I kind of wish you could just upload a picture that they could use your pupil distance to gauge the size of the frame to your face. Maybe I’m bad at trying that Virtual Try-On, but it didn't work well for me. Other than that, the products came within two weeks, which I was really surprised with. I have no problem recommending Zenni.

    The first time I ordered from Zenni was a couple of years ago and everything was fairly normal shipping-wise. My daughter liked her product so that was good. The second time, I put in the wrong script and I realized that the next day. I called back and I had to deal with customer service, and they canceled my order. They were good. They gave me my credit so I could go back and order something else. And I did. This most recent time that I ordered, the website was easy to navigate and the try-on feature was very self-explanatory. But if people are hoping to use it, it sometimes takes a while for it to capture. It never recognized my face so I couldn't do it. I picked out the frame based off how I liked it and hoped that it looks good when it got to my place. Other than that, everything else was easy. The shipping took a little longer but it was because of COVID. I love my glasses so I was happy.

    Zenni is cheap and quite simple. It definitely has more choices than you would get at an optometrist for much less the price. I recently got full-rim round metal frames and the quality was good. I really like the pair. Unfortunately, it’s a little bit small for my head. It has to bend to get around my head. I was thinking about returning them, but I’m not sure how to go about doing that. Nonetheless, I always tell people to get their glasses with Zenni.

    This company does not review prescriptions. They do not verify that the order is correct. When I did my daughters glasses I incorrectly entered her axis. At her ophthalmology appointment a few weeks later they caught it. I reach out to Zenni and they explained that if I returned the glasses I could get a 100 store credit and would be able to purchase another pair with that credit. I explained that my daughter couldn't be without her glasses that long while waiting for the store credit and a new pair. So he said if I purchased another pair of glasses (the correct ones) then once I received those I could return the incorrect pair for a refund back to my charge account and not a store credit. We finally received the new pair and I returned the other ones. I spoke with multiple sales representative and they only offered my the 100% store credit or a 50% refund back to my charge card. This company is a joke and I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN.

    Zenni glasses take several weeks to arrive. Upon arrival I was surprised by how inexpensive the glasses looked. The fit was completely wrong, rendering the virtual fitting process useless. When calling the 800-customer service line, the agent could not answer all my questions and when asking to speak with a supervisor I was told I would get a return call by end of day. No return calls. Called again the following day and have now been on hold for 48 minutes. No resolution process - no adequate customer service - no follow up. The frames look of very low quality, very cheap, not what I expected after paying over $100 for frames... Disappointing, frustrating and not worth the hassle.

    These rimless glasses were so cute but very fragile and bent easily. I got my second pair in and they broke again within a few days that I wore them, less than a week. I'm disappointed. The material used is too fragile. The shape of the lens I recommend but I'm just disappointed.

    I was introduced to ZenniOptical via a social media post I came across and was initially skeptical because the prices were so reasonable. I decided to order and was pleasantly surprised that I could get a lot of the lens perks that are typically out of my price range (anti reflective, anti scratch, etc). It takes a couple weeks for the frames to arrive, but it’s not unreasonable, and given the value it’s a small price to pay. Customer service has been great as well. I accidentally ordered the wrong prescription on my first pair, and Zenni was kind enough to give me a full refund via store credit even though it was my mistake. I have since ordered both standard glasses and sunglasses from Zenni. I am now a big advocate and fan of this company. I cannot recommend them enough.

    I went through the order process, the glasses were self tinting in the daytime. At the end of the order process the question is asked, "What tint would you like on your glasses." So I filled in the dark grey color. When I received the glasses they were sunglasses. I would think if someone orders self darkening glasses then orders a tint which would make them sunglasses it would be a contradiction in the order process and should be a red flag, at that point a clarification should be made not just default to the last box filled in. I feel there should be two order forms. One for sunglasses and one for other glasses in order to avoid confusion. Not all minds think alike. Thank you for listening. Respectfully Dennis **

    I like the cost of Zenni. The quality of the products varies though. Some are okay while some are not good. I've had a couple break. The ones that I have the most success with are the non-metal frame ones. The wire ones, or the metal, are the ones that break very easily. They’re lower quality than what I've gotten from other online subscriptions. If they can improve that, that would be helpful.

    We love it when we order online. You take and upload your picture then you can do the Try-On and try on all your different frames. We've always had good luck as far as the prescriptions being right and the frames sitting the way they should. We had an issue with a prescription being slightly off and they fixed it for us right away. We've had great service with them. I've done calling customer service and online chats, and both ways have been very easy. The glasses have always been good and lasted us a couple of years. I order frames for my kids too. Those don't last as long as the adult ones but I don't think they're any less quality than what we've gotten from in-person stores. When ordering, make sure you always double-check all your measurements with your doctor first and you input them right. As long as you do that, you have good luck getting a product that fits that is durable and super-duper affordable.
