In office experience was great, staff was friendly and helpful. However, it takes so long to receive new aligners once touch up images have been taken. I have now been waiting 6 weeks for my new aligners and still haven’t confirmation that they’re on Thursday way.

I received a very misleading email that claimed I could get smile direct for $49 a month with $250 down for 24 months. That was not the case when I went to my appointment. The lady said it was double that and for 60 months! That makes me not want to ever do business with SmileDirectClub.

Front teeth are not straight. I could use an adjustment. One of the bottom ones is seriously out of alignment as well. I realize I am older than most of your clients and I am generally satisfied, but I was hoping my two front teeth would be straighter.

Night gums are still sore in front of my mouth the gap has closed a little. When I leave the brace out for a day for you to relieve the soreness of my mouth then I have to put it back in and a sauna starts all over again. I still have one gap is still there. Not anticipate for it to close so it will always be a gap in my teeth. That’s not what I expect of the whole experience.

SmileDirect changed my life. It was the best decision of my life. However after treatment was over I feel like they don’t care anymore. Multiple orders were wrong, multiple delays. Everytime I called there was a different story or status of my order or account. The making and shipping time is RIDICULOUS. Multiple times they screwed up and “lost” my order causing a longer wait and ship time. This impacting my treatment and teeth. I would recommend SmileDirect but not so much anymore, as the customer service is never consistent. The time to make the retainers and ship them is inconvenient and excessive. Especially if your order has been messed up and you are waiting longer. I just feel like they don’t care now that my treatment is over and payment is made. But I’m stuck for life needing retainers now.

I’ve always lacked confidence in my smile and when I heard about Smile Direct Club I had to check it out. Consultations with orthodontists recommended to put me in braces for 2-3 years and Invisalign was too expensive. When I found out that in less than a year and a third of the cost later that my teeth would be straight I jumped at the opportunity. I have not been disappointed. My best friend of 20 years was amazed at the results and bragged for me. Thank you again and I will never have to be self conscious about my smile and in fact can smile bigger than ever.

I was expecting a long process that would take thirty plus minute, but instead it was less than 10 minutes. Once I saw the machine that takes the pictures, I thought it would hurt my mouth or take a long time to get the right pictures. The lady that helped me was very nice and very helpful. Overall it was a cool and unique experience.

Today I had my first visit at Smile Direct and it was an absolute pleasure. Melissa was the first to greet us and was super friendly and accommodating. Max then explained everything we needed to know about our treatment. He was very kind and helpful. He was able to clearly answer all of our questions and concerns while making us feel very comfortable. He played a large part in making our experience a positive one! Would definitely recommend to others!

During my appointment I was under the impression that I was there to see Before & After results of what my smile would look like and if I decided to go through with the process however I was not shown an after picture and I Also feel like I was pushed into Making a purchase right on the spot. The staff was very informative and answered all my questions however I had to state several times I was not interested In making an immediate purchase. After Not being clear the 1st time around A second worker came in to try to persuade me again. Great For sales but With the pressure of the employees I found it very frustrating make making a long term decision In just an hour.

I had a wonderful experience at Smile Direct Club in Towson from start to finish. The appointments were running a little behind, but the staff were still committed to providing an exceptional check in experience with regular updates about wait times and overall pleasant demeanors throughout the process. My scan appointment was conducted by Jessica who couldn't have been more kind, fun, thorough and knowledgeable. Listen, if you can go with Invisalign or any other plans please do, I kept getting charged over and over again for the same month, and when I called they said they would help and did absolutely nothing. I ended up having to cancel my plan. I only wanted to go with them because they were cheaper but to be honest they do not appreciate their customers or care enough to follow back regarding customer complains and concerns. Just had a terrible experience overall.

Not sure if this whole experience is worth being constantly bombarded with emails. However, the impression it arrived quickly with directions that were easy to follow. The discount on the impression kit being a digital gift is a disappointment. Just mail out the discount or don’t offer it at all. Don’t make me open another email, redeem it through your website, type in my info all over again, just to get more emails thanking me for redeeming the gift and one more to actually give me the code.

One reason I selected Smile Direct was because you offer the “overnight” option of wearing the aligners but now I’m being told that option is NOT available to me. Very disappointed!!! During the whole process I was informed wearing the aligner just "overnight" was an option and my account was marked with that option. Then just before payment, I am told the "overnight" option is not available to me.

I would have given the experience 5 stars except the rude woman who greeted me. I drove over an hour to get there and arrived 30 minutes early. She didn't even ask my name and sent me away until closer to appointment time. Luckily the woman who did the scan was amazingly sweet and very knowledgeable.

SmileDirectClub's customer service is excellent. Unfortunately, I had a problem. The first aligners fit great up until week four, then I couldn't get the bottoms in. SmileDirectClub sent me new ones in a week, which was great. The second time it happened, I couldn't get the tops or the bottoms in after a couple of weeks, and it took three weeks to get new ones. SmileDirect told me just to wear the ones that I had in. They were so loose, they were falling out. But it took a long time to get those. So, I'm still wearing them. The bottom teeth are much better. The top ones still have a gap. I had a sore in my mouth. I called and SmileDirect told me not to wear them for a week. So, that put me back a week.
I thought it would be so easy, but it wasn't, as far every time I eat, I got to take them out. When I first put them in, the first couple of times I tried to take them out, it was hard. That was great because that means they're working. But that's a pain. If I'm going out with friends for the day, I have to graze all day so I don't put them in. Or I bring them with me, but sometimes I'm in the car putting them on, coming home. Because I got to find someplace to brush my teeth and I don't like brushing my teeth in a public bathroom. So, I wish SmileDirect would come up with some kind of a rinse that I could rinse my mouth out and put them back in. Other than that, their program where they can look in people's mouths from their office is cool. It's very helpful and it makes me feel like they are trying to get me done.

I ordered my impression kit on Black Friday. I was offered a $10 kit with a refund of the $10 on a visa. I was also offered a whitening kit and an electric toothbrush. Well, I received the kit which didn’t contain the supplies it was supposed to have. It took me several tries to finally have someone tell me to just use what I had. I did finally receive the $10 Visa, but nothing else. Where is my whitening kit and toothbrush?

From my first contact reaching out to schedule an appointment, everyone was polite and helpful. I had to change my date and that was not an issue. The greeter was friendly, and took me right in, no waiting. The associate who did my scan fully explained the process, went over my options and answered all of my questions. Very clean and pleasant experience, the gal I worked with was nice & very easy going. Only complaint: clarification needs to be made about your $25 gift card. I was told that if I consented to being recorded, I’d get a $25 gift card. I don’t feel like it is the customer's job to assume that it is a in store only gift card, and along with that; you need to spend $50 or more to even use it. I would not have concerned if I was provided with the full info. Totally misrepresented and makes me question the rest of what I was told.

When I sent in my first pictures, they sent me an email saying it was the same impression kit that they were sending me. I did the impression kit and sent it in, and it was multiple weeks later before I got them. When I got them, they were much taller and not as comfortable as the first set. I've had to really work on them. I'm in my last set and I have five days left. I’m waiting on my retainer but have not heard anything.

Everything was fine until I was on my second to last set and I noticed my teeth need to be moved some more. I noticed it. Not once did you offer to check in with me. Ridiculous that the customer has to take it upon themselves to act like a dentist and reach out to you to make sure every is ok. I needed a touch up. I went to your SmileDirect store in Beverly Hills, and then get notified almost a month later that the pictures your representative took were not good. And now I'm on my last set trying to keep them salvaged before my new set gets in which is about another 3 to 4 weeks away.
Basically, my last set of aligners I need to last almost a full 90 days passed their usage because your service is so terrible. So now apparently it's going to be 4 weeks before I get my touch ups and I'm sure my teeth are going to shift back some and these new aligners are most likely going to be useless. I honestly deserve my money back. This company is a joke. And if I don't get my money back, believe me I will not stop until everyone I know or come in contact with knows not to use Smile Direct. Terrible service!!!

My front tooth that was crooked pretty much straightened out with SmileDirect. I had a couple of problems with some aligners and went for another consultation. They sent me a whole new set and they fit better than the first set. SmileDirect did a good job and their customer service is good, too. They check up on you and ask you to check in.

The greased thing was how fast I received the impression kit. I read emails about a provider reaching out in 3 days and 5 days later, still nothing. I would like to review the plan with a dental professional before purchasing. Also when I signed up, it mentioned I would receive a whitening kit and toothbrush free and yet to receive. When I reached out and asked why, they just mentioned that I have to buy the aligned first. That was not previously stated. Not great experience, not confident in your services.

I ordered an impression kit online, but was nervous to do it myself so I made an appointment for the smile shop. It was fast and truly did only take 30 minutes. I was immediately greeted by a really nice woman who then checked me in. The person that helped me was Shalom. She was so thorough, kind, made me so comfortable, answered any and every question, and made the experience enjoyable.

I finished my first Dr appointment early and arrived for my SmileDirect appointment 45 minutes early ~ 10:15. They received a delivery late. They saw others on time without the additional setup. I wasn’t given the option to proceed on time. They opted to do their setup and just left me waiting. By the time they were able to see me, I was only interested in getting it done as fast as possible. Didn’t really absorb many of the details that I probably needed to. I was only interested in getting to my next appointment although very late.

The reps are very thorough and have good customer service. I keep wearing the retainer at night and it keeps my teeth at a certain position. At first, I thought, "Oh, I can't do this. I can't wear this, this thing in your mouth, all day and all night," but I made it through, and wearing it at night is no big deal now.

For starters, I really liked how SmileDirectClub initially had quick and friendly service. That was part of the reason I chose to get aligners there. I have a moderate bottom tooth that juts backwards, but the rest of my teeth are mostly straight, so I did not want to bother with braces. Using the starter kit for imprints was easy and detailed. The problems started when I actually ordered the aligners. I got them expressed shipped for an additional $99, and started to use them right away. Within hours, I was noticing more and more how my tongue, the inside of both my upper and lower lip were hurting. I looked, and they were red and cut, more than you would expect. I was fine with it, they provided a file for rough edges and "move mints" to get the aligners fitted.
I tried both, but the problem wasn't just with the sharpness of the aligners. The upper aligners on the outside and the lower aligners on the inside and outside were not flush against my skin, so anytime I would speak, it would catch and cut the inside of my lips. My tongue also rubbed against and got caught where it wasn't flat against my teeth on the inside. I could literally push those areas with my finger like a trampoline, because it was that bad. I contacted customer service, and they said to contact the dental team.
After further thinking and researching, I saw there were night time aligners, which I was not aware of when I initially purchased. I obviously don't move my mouth and talk in my sleep nearly as much as during the day, so if that was going to be a continuous issue, I would rather minimize the problem to night, so hopefully it wouldn't be so bad. As a bonus, night aligners fit my personal life and routine much better. I asked the next day to make sure I was able to switch to night aligners. I was told yes and that they put in the order and would contact me within like 2-4 business days. After that period I was still not contacted, and I received no email or text confirmation about my switch.
I reached out again, because I get mistakes happen, and they told me I would be contacted in 1-3 business days. Well, once again I wasn't, and that leads me to talking to customer service today. I was frustrated obviously, but also stated that I knew it wasn't the representative's fault. The first representative was nice at first, and was putting the order through for the night time aligners that clearly was not put through when I talked to them initially well over a week ago.
The representative started being passive aggressive as I was asking fair questions like whether or not this pair will be expressed shipped as well, since the main reason I am switching is because the other ones clearly had a printing error (they had me try my week 2 aligners when I talked to them initially, but they had the same issue). I also asked why I was not contacted twice, since clearly that is an issue. With the night aligners not being able to be express shipped, so the $99 went poof, she handed me off to customer care (she was dental team).
Still frustrated, especially now having a passive aggressive employee pass me off, I explain the issue to customer care, and the only resolution I was given was "those representatives would be reported". Like, if they didn't remember to contact me on two occasions, I am not going to trust that they will remember to report them. So, the night aligners will be shipped well over a week after they should have been initially due to negligence, and the $99 I spent on express shipping is gone, even though it isn't my fault that the aligners were likely misprinted and causing me mouth wounds.
I really want to get my teeth fixed, but with how I am treated now that I am actually a paying customer, I'm not sure. I understand if this pair isn't able to be expressed shipped, but the other ones I paid an extra $99 for I only was able to wear for 2 days before there were literal open cuts in my mouth. I had high hopes for SmileDirectClub, but this was not what I was expecting.

Everyone has been so helpful and easy to work with! The instructions for the at home kit were very easy to follow along with and having two chances took the pressure off of making a mistake. Having the label and box there and ready to send back made it easy to wrap up the process. The 3D Treatment Plan showing the progression of my new smile is so encouraging to see. I can't wait for the next step in the journey to my new smile!

I went for the consultation and spoke to the rep who was very thorough, and I signed up. But I'm not still not happy with my smile. Something went wrong with the front. One tooth is crooked. So, I'm dealing with Dr. Gary and he just sent me a third set and I'm on my third aligner to get those teeth straightened out and separate my teeth the way they should look. I was hoping to be done a little earlier, but when you do something and expect a lot, and the results don't give you what you want, I've learned to not have high expectations on things that only nature can take place. Other than that, I would definitely recommend SmileDirectClub.

As soon as I walked in to the office, I was greeted and taken care of. The check in experience was very modern, no actual paperwork was signed or needed. Everything was done on a tablet. My Sales Associate, Elizabete, was super sweet, very personable, and experienced. She was able to answer all of my questions and she even spoke to her personal experience with aligners. She was such a pleasant and sweet person! I will def tell my other friends about my experience today. I’m super excited about my new smile!

Not happy at all with the results, no one sent me an email saying they needed photos for my touch up aligner. It's been over a month now, so finally I called and sent out my pictures and still haven't received anything. I've been wearing the same aligners for 2 months and they have holes in them!!!! I'm not satisfied at all and would like my money back that I've paid for. My teeth are not straight. They are still crooked. Not happy at all!!!

Both Katie the manager and doctor Ghanem were both friendly, professional and courteous and informative. I felt very comfortable throughout my entire experience. I am extremely excited to start my treatment program! I am looking forward to a new and brighter smile soon. I also got a free whitening treatment as well as a gift card and a bonus for my referral and myself. They both answered any question that I had as well. I wanted to fix just the front teeth. They were angled and I wanted to straighten it. The packaging was very nicely set up and had everything I needed. Everything seemed to go the way it was supposed to. It was quick, straightforward, and inexpensive. I paid it in advance. It was a little cheaper if I paid it in full. So, that was a nice kicker to do it that way too. Just the putty that I'm supposed to use, SmileDirectClub said I got to be quick about it when I do it. And they weren't kidding because it really sets up fast.

The impression kit was well packaged, very easy to use, and easy to ship back. I easily had enough time to mix the putty, roll, lay it in the tray, and form my impressions. Maybe add a comment on how to pull them out once they're formed without damaging them. I found pulling straight down/up off my teeth the easiest. Return was very easy, just put the impressions back in the box and drop it off.

The fitting was straightforward and the instructions were very clear. The process with SmileDirectClub was extremely simple and expedient as well. The fitting was delivered within a day or two and it was a very easy experience. But when I submitted my initial inquiry on their website, it was for the 12-hour aligners. And when I ordered them, I got the 22-hour aligners. It could have been a user error, but the website was not being super clear while I was filling out the information. But having completed the process, I'm glad that I did that because it's over with and it was a faster process. I'm also in a better place as a result.
The process of wearing the aligners had a getting used to period. My first three months of aligners on the bottom were misaligned but I didn't say anything because I was very uninterested in the bottom teeth, at least immediately because when I talk and smile, you can't see my bottom teeth at all. So, I was more concerned with my top teeth and I figured I'd keep all of the aligners for the bottom teeth. I decided that I was going to do them at a later point in time. My sole driver in doing this with SmileDirectClub was to fix the crowding on my two front teeth, so from that lens, it was a very successful experience. I'm thrilled with the results and I feel more confident about my smile.

I would never come back and better yet the experience I had in the store made me want to switch to Invisalign. I asked multiple times what I was signing and never got a straight answer, got charged so much money and can’t get it back for multiple business days after I had said I had to think it over. No paperwork or anything was sent home with me. Actual scumbags of people doing this to anyone. I hope the Philly store closes down forever so that all the lying people there lose their jobs. You can thank them for giving Invisalign multiple other customers including myself and my 5 other friends that were also going to go to Smile Direct. The stores and the company’s loss for using a ** tactic to make money. Many people will be hearing about this as well. Don’t think this message is only going to this store. With a big following I can only hope this store runs of customers.

We went to the actual shop in Nashville and got the scans done. Everything was done pretty much virtually. SmileDirectClub emailed us what my husband's smile should look like after the end and we approved it, and we were good to go. He wore the retainers all night. The most he ever had them off was for two hours a day. Depending on the actual retainers, some of them were a little defective because sometimes they would break after wearing them after one or two days. He would just start the next one sooner. One time, we contacted SmileDirectClub but it was a bit of jumping through hoops to try and get that, and we didn't want to get him off track because they would have to make a new mold or set of aligners, and that would have taken longer. My husband's teeth are not exactly how they showed online what they said his smile would look like at the end. But it's close. So, he's happy with it. Overall, we're satisfied.

We went for scan…First of all you say a free whitening and not a sample in advertising. Plus I had a email that said free Visa card and I asked her about it and she skipped right over the question. The entire thing is dishonest!!

I had an amazing experience today. The entire staff was very friendly and professional. Everyone I spoke with made me feel so welcome and comfortable. I learned the entire step by step process I will be going through and the help I will receive along the way. I also have to point out how painless and easy the the 3D imaging was, it was over in a matter of minutes. I would highly recommend this service to anyone and everyone that is looking for a better smile. I left my appointment feeling confident and with a huge smile on my face, ready to start my journey towards a better smile!!

Staff at the San Jose Curtner location was absolutely fantastic. They were able to address all my concerns with insurance, using FSA, and of course, a better smile. Joceli, my SmileGuide, walked me through the process. The 3D scan itself was quick and easy. Very pleased with the visit and can’t wait to receive my aligners.

The Staff were so welcoming and warm. They made my boys and I feel so very welcomed. They explained everything in such great detail. I wasn’t left with any questions or concerns. The one downside was that I left and remembered that I forgot to get the gift card promised in the promotion. Other than that, 5 stars!!! I would totally recommend to everyone I know. I also plan to bring my children here after I finish my treatment. Great for single people and families!!! The consultation was quick and swift but was quicker than I expected.

I decided to work with SmileDirectClub because of the timing of how it works and the price. It was a lot more benefit for me. It was a shorter time for the aligners to be used and my daughter loved it. The doctor who made aligners for her did everything good and everything was time-consuming. The mold came out a perfect fit for her. She was comfortable with them. They were a bit difficult when she changed them because they were tighter. But once she got into them, she was doing good. She did everything on time and she is doing her retainers now, her first set.
My daughter's teeth were crooked. She didn't feel comfortable that way, and one of them was hurting her the way it was. So, we looked into getting braces, but it was costly. So, I told her about the SmileDirect. I read up on it. When she first started the aligners, she was able to take them off to eat, drink, and put them back on. Also, she is only wearing the retainers at night. So, she is free during the day. When she goes to bed, she puts them on and she is good. I saw the results and her teeth all look a lot more straight than before. And she is happy the way everything came out. SmileDirect is something that you should look into. It's benefiting. The time-consuming is good and you get good results.

My first smile appointment was easy peasy, and I got a goody bag! They were very friendly and answered all my questions. The whole experience took about 30 minutes and that includes all my questions, filling out info, before photos and the scan itself. I would highly recommend to a friend, I can’t wait to get my box!

I was originally thrilled at how responsive everyone was and how quickly I received my impression kit. Once I returned it, I was told I needed to have a cleaning before aligners could be made. I did that and sent my second set of impressions back only to be told that my bottom teeth could not be treated. The bottom is what I wanted straightened. If this was the case, I should have been told after the first impressions were received. All this did was waste time and money. My bottom teeth are no worse than any advertised on the TV commercials. I am not satisfied with my experience and have been left feeling frustrated and misled.

Very friendly staff. The digital images are fabulous and removes the need to use the goopy trays. I was very pleased. A note about the whitening trays: so good! Used for the first time yesterday just once instead of twice. It was easy, powers up from plugging into your phone, and you can use your phone timer. I love the tech integrated into Smile Direct.

Please do your homework before trying to save money skipping the orthodontist and avoiding Invisalign or braces. I spent $2k with SDC and ended up back in with the orthodontist looking at another $4k to get actual comprehensive treatment. SDC did little to straighten my teeth and made my bite worse. Please do your homework and read the complaints on their social media posts and with the BBB before trying to save money - do it right the first time.

I was hesitant at first but I ordered from SmileDirectClub and it worked out pretty well. I got the kit and it was a pretty easy process of following the directions. You had four molds to do, two on top, and two on bottom, so they could get the accurate measurement. Then, I sent those back within that week. After that, I got my SmileDirect box and I went ahead and started measuring. The app was super easy to use, too.
I wore my retainers day and night and I did not take them out unless I had to brush my teeth and when I ate. At the time, I didn't snack as much as I normally do because when you're first starting out, it's very difficult and the aligners hurt me. It put me in tears and when putting the aligners in at first, my gums were so sore. I had to get a gum-numbing gel and that helped a lot. But after that first week, I was fine and I didn't have to use the gum-numbing gel anymore. The instruction also said to not to brush the aligners, but I still brushed them because I'm a clean freak. I used a toothbrush to scrub the stuff out on it, then I still wore them at night.
Towards the end, my teeth were coming together and I didn't notice results until week eight. Now, I'm done with it and I'm waiting to order my final aligners, the six-month one. So far, I'm happy with the results. I've become confident with my smile and my teeth are straight. I have very small teeth and they don't really stand out as it is. But I feel like I smile a lot more, as in I laugh.

I was sent an impression kit for “touch up” aligners following 4 months of treatment because my teeth did not move into the position they were supposed to. After receiving my impressions and photos I was emailed that I would hear my treatment plan within 5 days. After almost 3 weeks I called and was told they needed more pictures and had emailed me. I got no such email. Finally I got my treatment plan to find out I will need to wear them another 3 months. Very disappointing. And this is all after finding out that my insurance that was supposed to cover 80% covered nothing because Smile Direct is not ADA approved!

So I've been trying to do the Smile Direct Club thing for a while now but I haven't had much luck with the kits. By sheer coincidence I checked my email last night intending to email smile direct club regarding my failed attempts. The smile shops are far away from me so I was just going to call the whole thing off. However, upon checking my email I found out there was going to be a pop up shop a couple towns over! I was thrilled. I signed up, went, and I was in and out of there in no time. The young man who did my 3D scans was so nice and he gave me so great info. He's also a smile direct club success story and he showed me his results. I'm so glad I checked my email.

My appointment was at the Beverly Hills 'Smile-Shop' location. Inside the store was very clean & organized. Everyone was very nice & professional. My 'SmileGuide' (Louis) was on his game. Very knowledgeable and very personable. My appointment took a little longer than expected. The only complaint I have is THIS store location and the OUTRAGEOUS cost of parking. They talk about how they want to make their product affordable for everyone, maybe they should reduce overhead and not open a store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. A total NIGHTMARE (location wise).

In August I asked for replacement aligners and were sent ones that did not fit. I was booked a 3D scan appointment in October and I have not received my aligners and it is now December. I have been given the run around and hung up on several time by customer service whenever I call. I am extremely upset with SmileDirectClub and their rude unprofessional service.

From the website it sounds like the 30 minute free consultation will just be to answer questions, go over treatment and get an idea of pricing however it took more than 30 minutes and at the end they were not happy that I didn’t want to immediately sign the $2000 payment. They were very pushy, continuously asking me to put $250 down and then decide on my payment plan later. I didn’t appreciate that the website made it seem like it was supposed to be a consultation which in my opinion meant research but it was a way to trap you into paying on the spot. I have done my research and they look like a great company but I did not appreciate how the consultation process went.

We went to the Orlando office to do the workup for my son. You can do it all online if you want. But it was nice to actually go into the office and have them do all of the photography of his mouth. It was very in-depth. They put a camera in his mouth and they took all of these shots of his teeth and got everything all measured. I gave them $286 and we left. After two weeks, this big box came and all of his aligners came at once, with tooth whitener. He started putting in his aligners. He has only made it through half of his aligners. He hasn't been doing it as fast as he should. But he's still doing it. When we went on vacation for Thanksgiving and saw the same people, they were telling my son that his teeth looked great and that they really straightened up. They have really straightened up and it's only halfway through the program.

Being that it's been 8 days since my 3D scan, & I have yet to get invoiced or receive a treatment plan, I'm questioning the process. I initially met with Laura in St. Louis, who created my 3D scan. She was dressed like she was ready to go work in the garden, not work on a professional dental plan. (Grey t-shirt, old tore up jeans, and well-worn tennis shoes.) She indicated I should get my treatment plan in 2-4 days (ie: no later than Fri, being that my scan was on Mon.)
She also indicated that even though there is NO physical difference in the actual Full Time vs Night Time aligners, I may not be eligible for the Night Time version, even though there is nothing wrong with my bite. Only mild to moderate crowding with my teeth, which leads me to think she has little to no medical training. She also indicated that if I was not "eligible" for the Night Time aligners, that maybe I could talk with whoever viewed my scans (Dentist, Orthodontist) and declined my requested treatment. Well yes, since it's my treatment, I would definitely think having a conversation with the medical professional would be in order, just as any medical treatment with a Doctor would be customary.
During the appointment, everything with her was a sales pitch, which, at my advanced age, if I wasn't already interested in it, why would I have come in of my own volition? Just having a conversation about facts & medical information vs SELL, SELL, SELL would have been more my speed. The day after my scan, I called what I thought was the local office to ask some more questions, but reached a Customer Service center. (?) Was told by the rep Raina, that the Night Time aligners are, in fact, thicker than the Full Time aligners, which is different than I had been told just the day before. And if I was OK with having a longer timeline to get the desired results, there should be no reason (given my dental history) I should be labeled as Not Eligible for the Night Time aligners.
On the positive side, both ladies I spoke with were friendly, even if I wasn't receptive to all the personal questions asked of me while the 3D computer was having issues during the initial appointment. Both ladies were nice, cannot ignore that. However, the whole experience thus far is leaving me questioning if this is such a great plan. At least having the treatment plan take such a long time is giving me time to think about if this is something I really want to spend $2k on.

My experience was very good. However, other than Care Credit, they need to have other options for the down payment!!! Especially for Seniors who live on Social Security. I can manage the monthly, but, cannot manage a $250 down payment!!!! Please help me! I will be a good one for promoting sales for the company, but, need to be accepted first!!!

So this is our 2nd go around. 1st experience, great. Then Time for retainers.. ordered twice and got nothing. Teeth continued to shift. Had to go through the whole process again, mold, pics, and begin ANOTHER $2000 order, and still haven’t received the 2nd set after following up repeatedly. Teeth continue to shift. I believe the 2nd set should be free considering.

My last set of aligners didn't seem to fit right but nobody got back to me. At that time, SmileDirect was booming and they started showing commercials, but they were understaffed. But a year later, when I needed another set of aligners, they were more than happy to get everything. I've been happy with the results that I've been given.

Went to the store thinking it would be more informative, it was not, apparently they are all about sales. Almost 2 weeks later and I have not heard anything, no email, no text, no phone call. Finally I contacted them and the case was denied. I would say these are for very mild teeth issues not to replace braces as they advertise.

It’s my first time ever in considering getting my teeth straightened to have a better smile. I know I made the right decision coming to this place. Not only of the well advertised but it's simply true. The staff that assisted me. Andrea was very helpful, polite and answered all my questions even the silent one. My 12-week plan did not give me the desired results, so I called and the Smile Direct Representative directed me to go to the Smile Direct Facility where I had my initial exam. I did go, on November 4, 2021. The Technician did new scans and showed me where more alignment was necessary to achieve the desired results. She told me she would send these scans to my Smile Doctor and I'd be getting new aligners in 3 to 4 weeks. I told her that they should not send my retainers because obviously, my teeth were not straight yet, and she assured me that they would not send retainers until my smile was complete to my satisfaction.
I called 2 weeks later, on November 10, because I got an email saying that my retainer had been mailed. I told the person that answered that I should not be getting a retainer because I still needed aligners because my teeth were not straight yet. He said that the retainers had already been mailed, but when my teeth were finally straight, they would send out a new retainer, but I wouldn't have to pay for it.
I called 2 weeks later because I hadn't gotten any emails saying my new aligners were on their way. I had checked my app and it just said "in progress" and I wanted an update. The guy who answered said that there was not an order in for the production of the scans that were taken on November 4, and he transferred me to someone else. This other lady repeated the same, that the scans were taken on November 4, but nothing was done with them. She then told me that she would submit the scans to my doctor to be reviewed and approved so that aligners could be made and sent to me. She said that could take up to 4 weeks, but she would request that they expedite the process. I commented that my teeth would surely lose much of the progress that they had made by the time they got all of their stuff together, and she advised me to wear my last aligners until the new ones got to me.
Just yesterday - December 5, 2021, I got an email saying that my "touch-up treatment plan was approved" and my aligners were being made and would be shipped in 3 to 4 weeks. This does not sound like anyone tried to expedite anything. I am very dissatisfied with this experience and with the fact that I will NOT have my desired smile by Christmas, which was my goal.

Honestly, this was the best medical visit I ever had leaving with a smile I could not hide. I had really good conversations and the environment was welcoming even after being just a bit behind schedule for my appointment. I look forward to a brighter and more confident smile after experiencing this visit!

Quick to get a kit for touch. Said the kit cost would be refunded when kit sent back. Have not heard more about that yet, but all other great. Got the kit timely, made impressions, followed directions and SDC confirmed they got back. Thank-you!

I have enjoyed having my teeth moved. But before I felt they were done, SmileDirect told me they were done, and I told them that they were not done. So, for 10 weeks now, I've had the same aligner in waiting for them to have a new plan to finish my teeth. I've been disappointed and frustrated. I have sent in three sets of molds, and each time, they were putting me off. I told them, "I sent you four. There should be two out of those four that are good enough to do some new aligners." I would have gladly driven down the hour to Minneapolis to have them do a photoshoot of my mouth so that they could come up with what they needed. But they closed their office in Minneapolis, so there's nothing around for me. Doing these molds and trying to fit them in my mouth is hard.
I wish there was an easier way to do these molds because I thought I did a really good job. I read the book three times. I watched the video. I knew what to do. But they have found some little problem every time I do the molds. I paid for my retainer long ago, but I don't know when I'll ever get it. So it's a bit frustrating, and yet, I'm glad I did it because SmileDirect is cheaper than the other option.

The receptionist make me feel her sincere welcome, but the guy that actually attended to me that youngster I did not like one bit how he attended to me. As he was explaining to me about the cost and when I told him that I didn't have the $250. He suddenly just cut me off, got up and opened the door to said he was gonna go ask whoever his boss. He shut the door and walks out..I truly suggest to get rid of him because people people like make me feel that I wouldn't recommend. I actually think he should be fired. I don't understand how and why you guys have a 20year old kid doing this kind of job..He doesnt have that welcome that vibe that most people give when working with the public in a establishment..I would never go back again and I would never recommend nobody. And the receptionist I wish her the best. I think deserves a promotion. And that's the honest to gods truth.

I thought the impressions had been easy to do until I received an email message and another set of impressions to re-do and return. I did this and, a few weeks later received an email message indicating I needed to have a thorough teeth cleaning. This was frustrating because I had had a thorough cleaning by my dentist just days before taking the impressions and had sent photos. After two discussions with staff by phone, I was directed to have photographs again on my phone during the second of these conversations. It was a more frustrating and time-delayed process than I had expected. A day later, I received confirmation that everything was in order and that I would soon receive my aligners. I wait for them now.

I did some research and found out that SmileDirectClub had an office where I could go to to be scanned instead of doing it on my own through the mail. So, I went in and I dealt with them directly. I love SmileDirect. I ended up going 18 months on their plan with my aligners and now I'm on my retainers. I had so many good comments about how nice my teeth look. I've been very self-conscious about my front teeth, especially the crooked teeth, my entire life, and at 68 years old, I finally did something about it.
I was only supposed to be in the program for the 12 months and towards the end, I was having a problem that the aligners weren't fitting right when I'd go into the next set. So, they set up an appointment for me to go back into the office and they rescanned me. They started from scratch and put me in for another six months. And it's been great working with everybody, whether it's been on the phone or in person at the office. They really worked with me.
My two front top teeth are big and with them being crooked and overlapping, I would take pictures and everybody would always say that I was not smiling. But now, when are pictures taken, I'll smile and I feel great about it. My teeth are aligned the way they're supposed to be and it's so much better. I'm really happy with the results. My bottom teeth weren't that bad because they didn't show that much but Smile Direct tweaked them a little bit, so what was a little off with them is straight now also.
I wish that I had friends or family that needed to have teeth straightened because I would highly recommend them. And I know they have the thing that if you recommend somebody, they get 100 off and I get 100. That happened when I first saw SmileDirect. I had a friend who lives out of state that when I was telling her about it, she said she was in their program. So, she got the code and she got the $100, then I got $100 off my aligners when I first got into the program.

Your sales team at Towson, MD, told me things that your customer service reps said were inaccurate. I was told that my insurance info would be checked and a dentist would call me to discuss my options. I was charged $1850 for nighttime aligners. I was told a dentist would explain the difference between nighttime and daytime. That never happened. I was also told Towson would run my insurance and let me know how much is covered. No one ever ran my insurance. I was just charged. After 40 minutes on the phone with a customer rep, that charge was refunded. I submitted online for my insurance to be checked to determine how much will be covered and got an email stating I'd hear more. I have not received any further communication about insurance coverage, but I am getting lots of emails about purchasing my aligners.

I was a little nervous when I had my 3D scan that the woman that was helping me had to turn on the fan in the room because I was sweating a little. Lol. But my experience was great and she was very knowledgeable when I had questions about the treatment, after the treatment, and payment. I definitely recommend this location for any information about Smile Direct.

I have just reviewed my ‘new smile’ and placed my order for my new aligners. I am excitedly anticipating my order and getting started. I was able to meet in person for a 3-D scan. I highly recommend doing so if you are able. I tried doing the impressions myself (for another company I didn’t go with), and I had to redo them. Apparently the 3-D scan is more precise; we all want precise-right? Anyhow, the woman who helped me, Ashley at check-in, and Ana did my oral scan, were so authentic and kind. (Dec 2nd Oceanside at Marriott). They were actually what sold me. My experience was fantastic. I went thinking ‘maybe’ and left with no doubt about proceeding. Smile Direct are lucky to have those two employees. I will do another review in 4 months when I’m tentatively scheduled to be done with my alignment. Can’t wait!

Very welcoming environment as soon as you enter the building. Receptionist was very nice and conversational, which made the waiting process, although not very long anyway, feel like a fleeting moment in time. In particular, Macie was the person who carried out the whole 3D scan process, so shouts out to her. She was also very nice and kept up conversation the whole time, which I appreciated. She explained everything well and left me with no questions, so I’d say it was an overall good experience for me. No complaints here.

I’m disappointed with my experience. I've been done with treatment plan and have a large gap in front. I reached out before it ended and was told I had to wait until end for touch up. Now I’m just waiting with no improvement. I’m leaving for my 20 year anniversary vacation, I should be done, and I do not have my new smile and will probably not have my new aligners before then. I wish things would be expedited.

The scanner was hurt. The staff seemed not sanitize equipments. The staff there was not able to provide enough information, especially on the pricing details. Refuse to provide further help, and even ask me to leave. They refuse to provide the bonus promised for the appointment. Bad experience.

I had done my research and knew a bit of what to expect but traffic was rough and I couldn’t find where to go (I attended a pop up inside of a hotel). So I showed up a bit cranky. However, every team member was so friendly and warm that I walked out feeling so much better. The Smile team turned my day around. Shanté was an incredible help and explained everything thoroughly. When I checked WhiteCoin, there was a coupon that I could redeem for SmileDirect. So one morning, I clicked on it, then I went to the SmileDirect location at a CVS right down the street. I had my braces but on my bottom teeth, I never got the wire implant type thing that they glue in. So, my teeth had majorly shifted worse than what they looked like before I had braces. And my mom was all over that and really influenced my decision to do SmileDirect.
I thought it was going to take so long with them and that it was going to be super painful. I also didn't expect the aligners to be so clear. Even my boyfriend would never know when I had them in. So, I really liked the product. When I moved to California, I had the box sent here and there were a lot of times where I was meeting new people or going to school and no one ever realized that I had them in. I was very impressed with SmileDirect. Aside from that, when I bought the retainer, I called them and the rep I dealt with was really nice.
I used to joke that I had Will Ferrell teeth, but now, I joke with my family that the Will Ferrell teeth are gone. There is a little bit of a gap towards the root of my two teeth that were crossed and I don't know if that's just because my gums haven't adjusted. But they look amazing, looking from an overhead view. The treatment took four months and it was crazy. Now, I don't hear any more complaints from my mother and I feel so much more confident about my teeth and my smile. Also, there was so much that came in the box that they sent out. The whiteners that they sent work very well and they don't make my teeth really sensitive like a lot of other ones do. If you were on the fence about it, I 100% recommend it. My insurance didn't cover it because I had braces already but I paid $2,000 out of pocket and I'm 20. It was a big financial decision to make, but it was very much worth it.

I visited the Orlando South Orange Ave location on 12/2/21 for my smile scan. Very clean office, secure parking and building. I did have to pay a $20 “lost ticket fee” for parking in the garage as instructed by Cortney after only 1 hour or less being there. My parking ticket was validated for me by the manager as promised so that it would be no cost, however when I arrived to the parking garage exit kiosk, it was not accepted giving an error message “this ticket cannot be used.” Luz was amazing! So thorough and caring. Very personable and encouraging. After much apprehension, Luz reassured me and made me feel very comfortable and confident. Cortney is lucky to have Luz on her team! Very quick turnaround, I received my treatment plan and placed my aligner order the same day my scan was completed. I am very excited to start my Smile journey.

I LOVE SmileDirectClub. My initial set of aligners were fantastic! However, trying to order my retainer has been a nightmare. First, I called to order a retainer, and was told it would take two weeks. Four weeks went by, and I called to check on them. At that point, I was told that my prescription had expired, and I needed to submit an impression kit. A new kit was sent, I completed the impressions and returned it the next day, and received an email saying that my impression kit had been received, and I would receive my smile plan in five days. 15 days went by, and I called to check, and I was told that my account was missing some photos. (When photos were already taken by a SmileDirectClub associate on the video chat feature on the app.) I submitted the missing photo, and now I am waiting again. I am hoping everything from now on goes smoothly, I am looking forward to retaining my smile!

I did both sets of teeth and they only gave me the top aligners and said that my bottom teeth don’t meet your requirements but my dentist says otherwise and the customer rep told me that I need to go see an orthodontist if I want my bottom teeth straight. It kinda left a bad review in my mind that you can say that to a person who is paying 3000 dollars for one set of teeth.

This has been a 6+ month ordeal to obtain retainers. I purchased new retainers earlier in 2021 on a 3 for 1 deal that you offered. What arrived 3-4 weeks later were 3 bottom retainers only. Despite lengthy well documented phone calls to report the problem to very well intentioned but completely clueless SmileDirectClub employees, 3-4 weeks later arrived 3 more bottom retainers only. I repeated the complaint phone call, waited 3-4 more weeks, and 3 more bottom retainers only arrived. At that point I had 9, count them 9! New bottom retainers and no new top retainers. The top retainer that I have been religiously using since my treatment plan ended has now the same top retainer since 12/2020.
I AGAIN repeated the lengthy complaint phone call. This time, 4 weeks later, what arrived was STEPS 1 and 2, top and bottom, OF MY ORIGINAL TREATMENT plan. NO RETAINERS! I AGAIN repeated a complaint call. And this is now where we stand. I still am waiting for 3 top retainers, ordered >6 months ago. I have no confidence that they will ever come.

Customer service is great. I'm seeing some improvements. But I lost my container and upon getting my new purchase. It was no big deal. I ordered one from Amazon. But that would be cool if SmileDirect can have those.

I visited the Schaumburg Smile Direct Club location. Super easily to get to. I was able to park across the street in a parking garage. It's in the streets of Woodfield next to the movie theater! Super cute and clean room. Safe to come during COVID. Fast and easy appointment. Janeth and Ale both were very nice and thorough. Made me feel comfortable with the scan even though I have a bad gag reflux. They did a good job trying to comfort me. Highly recommend!

I finished my retainers. Never missed a day. Results were ok. I’m on my third set of retainers and this last set has been awful. Shifted my teeth. I asked if I could send them back because the prior sets never had this issue. They told me no. The lifetime smile guarantee is not as it seems. They suggested I restart the plan and it would cost an additional monthly fee- after I had already paid off my balance. If I could go back, I would 100% choose Invisalign or go to an In-person orthodontist. Do not waste your time on SmileDirectClub. Results and quality are less than expected. In the San Diego Point Loma location I was assisted by an associate named Lucy and she explained everything thoroughly and guided me through the whole process from beginning to end! She answered all of my questions and her professionalism was impeccable. She was also very personable and really got me excited about getting my teeth fixed. I spent 4 years with braces previously and hated going to any dental appointments even just for scans but she was so patient and kind I'm glad I chose SmileDirect out of the other options just off of this interaction. My experience with customer service was very positive. Getting everything set up was very easy and my teeth came out exactly like I wanted them. It's been less than six months and I'm finished. This is completely safe and the 24-hour dental is great.

The in person visit was great and woman I spoke to was exceptionally helpful in answering my questions. I thought I was really clear that the issue I was having was related to my back, right molar bite and I didn't want my front gap correct because it requires cutting a root that divides the teeth (multiple doctors confirmed). However, the plan I was given was exactly what I didn't want...to correct the gap. I spoke to some very helpful ladies today that submitted my revision, but it's a little frustrating to make a point to drive 30 minutes each way, spend over an hour at the appointment for the plan to be wrong.

Customer Service (Jake) during my appointment was great. I specifically mentioned that my focus was on my bottom teeth. He said that it would be possible to straighten them out. Once I got my scan, there was absolutely no movement or change to the 3D scan in my bottom teeth with no change on my top teeth either. At this point, it would be a waste of my money $3k to spend when there is no positive outcome or change for that fact. Thanks anyways.

Very clean and was greeted very nicely. My daughter was a bit nervous since she is not crazy about doctors offices but Stephanie I believe was her name was very wonderful. Since my daughter is 17 I made her go back alone since the covid protocols are in place there. She came back up front to get us and told us we was welcome to join our daughter. She was very friendly and Pleasant to be around and answered all our questions. I will most definitely referral for people to go in versus the mail in molar kit.

Alicia and her co worker, name starts with a C, sorry I don't remember her name, were amazing. Sweet and knowledgeable. Only thing I didn't like was that the 25 dollar gift card was not explained beforehand that it was for 25 off of 50 for Smile products.

Had no clue what to expect when I first came in. When my turn had come Ms Elsa brought me back and was super funny and welcoming. She explained everything leaving no room for questions which I find awesome. Never knew about some of the technology used until I came in so that was cool being educated on some behind the scenes action. Overall super happy with the experience on my first visit and super happy for the team that worked with me. Can’t wait for the results. PS if Elsa is able to read this tell her I'm trying my hardest to book that trip!!!

The experience to just get my scanning done was very inconvenient. I just needed my retainers and I was pretty much force to go back and get my scanning done. I understand that, but with work and the availability conflict with work schedule was terrible. Then I was scheduled on a Saturday to be told when I get there, "Scannings aren't done on Saturdays." Here we go again on the mission. However, the score does not reflect with the service given once I got my scanning. The service at the site was great on the day I got scanned. I came in late, and they made me feel like they made it a priority to attend me. Thank you! Please better scheduling system.

I tried these clear aligners for roughly 4 months and it did nothing to help my smile, if anything it just made it worse. The aligners are made with very thin and cheap plastic and were not strong enough to shift my teeth. I contacted customer service multiple times and when an actual person finally got back to me they said I could start over at the same cost I originally paid. If I wanted to pay $3000 for straight teeth I would have gotten regular braces. Very disappointed. Just get Invisalign.

I needed a second 3D scan and went to my scheduled appointment. They took me back immediately, did the scan, explained what was being done, and I was out of there in a short amount of time. I appreciated that it didn't take any longer than they had said it would. Everything was very clean and efficient.

SmileDirectClub is a lot cheaper than most things like Invisalign. Starting was easy. The hardest thing was just waiting for them to come to my house. But that wasn't very long. What I disliked was, in the beginning, it just all felt new and my teeth are moving so much that it hurt. After a few weeks, it feels like nothing, and my teeth are fine. I really like the change the process made. It was really good and the amount of time that it takes is so short.

I had my 3D scan 3 weeks ago. The first appt was cancelled after I already arrived so I had to reschedule it. So that was not a great start, but I came back a week later and explained that I mainly wanted to address crowding in my lower teeth. It is very mild actually but I would like to improve it to make it easier for flossing and gum care. Anyway, I heard nothing back in the 3 weeks since, so I called and a man explained that the aligner won’t work for me so there’s nothing that can address my lower teeth crowding, this is extremely surprising because the pictures on your advertising are much more severe than my situation so I don’t really understand why it’s not possible.

Getting set up was very simple. Once I made the phone call and they scheduled me to come in, everything else just took care of itself. I'm satisfied with the results. I've had braces before and my teeth were just starting to come out of alignment. I got them because at night, I was chewing and that was causing a lot of grinding. They were saying that if I kept that up, I'm going to do damage to my teeth. So I looked at the mouth guard compared to the Smile Direct and Smile Direct has done everything I wanted to do plus straighten my teeth and took care of the grinding problem, so it was a two-fold win-win.

I looked at Invisalign initially, and my dentist didn’t offer it. So, I decided to go with SmileDirect because I liked the price of it better than Invisalign. They seemed to be a reputable company, too. I thought it was worth a shot, and I went for it. I’ve had some problems with my tongue getting really irritated a couple of times, and there weren’t really anybody I could reach out to. I was a little disappointed in not a lot of good contact information. I did send in a request via email, and I never heard back from them. But it did took care of itself right. I got beyond it and followed their format. I’ve worn it 22 hours a day and it works. It did its job. I’m happy with the results. I don't have a big family, but I'd recommend SmileDirect.

I thought the process of scanning and picture taking to gather accurate photos of my teeth was rather impressive and efficient. I liked the idea of receiving an entire kit with everything needed and no need to return for checkups. I was not impressed with pricing. I had braces for 2 years, a permanent retainer for many years after and was only needing minimal adjustments or straightening to my upper and lower set of teeth. I would be proceeding in purchasing the aligners if pricing was based off of how much adjusting needed to be done.
I needed minimal straightening and would have proceeded for a few hundred dollars, but not almost $2000, which was half of the cost of my braces that needed to accomplish much more than what is needed now. I also thought the appointment confirmation attempts were incredibly excessive and annoying. I did not need phone calls, voicemails, text messages, and emails. A simple text response would have sufficed. The gentleman, Marquise, who held my appointment was great though!

The 2 reps I dealt with were wonderful. Very personable. Katie was a joy to speak with and helped with all of my concerns. The rep who did my scan did a great job, and it was a much better scan than my initial scan.

I love working with SmileDirectClub. It's been a great experience. Everything pretty much got here on time just like they said it would. The teeth whitener is great. I love it. They did have a little bit of an issue where they sent me the wrong aligners but I called and they got it fixed for me in those times. I've recommended SmileDirectClub to three different people. It's been great for me.

I had a really hard time when I attempted to change my impression kit to a nearby appointment for a 3D visit. The representative was difficult to understand and multiple times reminded me I would lose my rebate if I switched over. I told him over and over I was afraid of messing the impressions up and preferred the appointment. Still he again reminded me of losing the rebate and hesitated to offer an appointment date and time.

I went in with the expectation that I may not be a candidate. My bottom teeth are crowded. My top don’t even bother me. I was clear with them that the bottom were my concern and I understood I may not be a candidate. The “smile expert” insured me that I would be and that “people have teeth way worse the me”. “We can help you.” I was so beyond happy. A few days later I receive a call I’m not a candidate. They can treat only my top teeth for the same price. I’ll just go to an orthodontist who is fair and honest. I would have been satisfied with a maybe not a lie. Why would I pay full cost and receive a partial service.
