SmileDirectClub’s invisible braces give you a way to improve your smile that’s more affordable than traditional braces. A licensed dentist or orthodontist crafts each treatment plan, but you can complete your clear aligner treatment without ever going into a doctor’s office. SmileDirectClub was cheaper and they have a payment plan. They helped with my son's teeth a lot and I'm very happy. With SmileDirect, he has a straight, beautiful smile now. He's done but he has to buy a $100 retainer, and he's supposed to wear it so that his body gets used to the way his teeth are now and don't try to fix it.

They are misleading with stating that you only pay $15 for the slingers and process which I thought sounded like a scam. It was so cheap. I truly wouldn’t have wasted my time if I knew once they did impressions and everything that they would slap on another 2200?!?! Wow. Crazy. I’ll just get in person results with Invisalign from my local orthodontist office for 2500.

I love SmileDirectClub. My son went through the program. He’s the third family member to do it. He did the program for 12 weeks. He's still using the retainers. I love them. He's a special needs kid. So with autistic kids, you never know how they will respond. I would recommend it to anyone who has special needs. SmileDirectClub should do a commercial with Will and myself. Because I didn't know how this would go because Will as a kid never liked going to the dentist. He needed to be anesthetized. They used to put him out before they even cleaned his teeth. So, he did really well.

Customer service was amazing. I had to reschedule my appointment and the receptionist on the phone was so nice and considerate. Sasha at the King of Prussia office in PA was super easy to work with and a great conversationalist! Really recommend this company.

My visit at Smile Direct was a good experience. The lady at front was very nice and friendly. Ashley was very nice, she explained everything very well. The exam was quick and easy. And everything seemed was very clean, which is very important during this time.

My experience was great at Orland. I got my hundred dollars off. Signed the iPad stating $100 off. Then went into my app and I did not get the hundred dollars off. I called on Friday, and they said they would take care of it. Come Sunday night I have been charged the full amount not -$100 off. Called Smile direct and they have no record of it. I said. "Well I talk to you on Friday. You don’t keep records of the phone calls." "No," they said. After ** around with them for a while and tell him, "This is not a great way to start a relationship with this company" they finally agree to give me the hundred dollars off. I hope I don’t have problems with the liners because I will cause problems.

This has been painful to give you my business. First I receive a call to sign up and I do but everyone who calls will not help with questions like how does my wife receive the friends and family benefits but instead they send me to an email address that doesn't work. If this is how customer service is when you are trying to gain my business, I can not imagine what it is like once I pay you...

I've had multiple instances (on the phone) where customer service agents couldn't do what I needed them to do (like updating my email address). Customer service agents don't respond to my emails. My treatment plan only included my upper teeth, not my lowers. I'm getting spammed to death, over email and phone, with pressure to start a plan. What a joke. One star is too many.

SmileDirect said that my teeth would be straight, but they’re not. This is my third set from them because the set was never proper and the aligners were too tight. I couldn't get them to lay on my teeth properly because they wouldn't come all the way down. So, I called one time and they sent me out another kit and that took forever. Then I called again and they were supposed to send me out another kit, but they didn't. I called them back and they said, “Oh, well, you have to pay for that.” I said, “No, no, no. I don't.” Even though they promised that they would, they still didn’t send another one out.
I continued to finish up with the treatment program and ended up getting my nighttime aligners for when you're completely finished with it because you have to wear them, which I did not know you have to wear them for the rest of your life. They don't tell you that. But I figured I spent enough money as it is, I might as well continue with it. So, I ordered those retainers and it’s still a work-in-progress.
When I originally ordered the aligners, I told SmileDirect that I didn't need them for the top because I had a lot of bridges up there. But they insisted that I get it anyway. After I got them and paid for them, I called SmileDirect again and said my mouth hurt because they were trying to move permanent bridges. That was when they said, “Oh, well, then you don't have to do the top one.” But yet, they charged me for it. I'm very dissatisfied with my experience.

Came in for 3D scans and to get started with my service. Was greeted by two nice ladies. I was a bit scattered because I was running behind, but the two of them did a great job of working together to help my process go by smoothly. Maci was quick and very personable when doing my scans, as it can be an awkward experience, but she was really lighthearted and kind. She answered all of my questions and reassured me through the process. Great experience; quick and painless.

It took a while to get a good impression (3 kits). That was understandable. But DAMN! You guys blew up my email address with 2 to 3 ads a day. And I was already on board! Not to mention the texts. Y'all need to tone it down a bit.

SmileDirectClub has an office here in town and I went there. I liked the cost. I had my teeth 3D'd and they talked to me about the process. I had to get ok'd. A few days later, they sent me the price and what the insurance cost. My teeth are way better than they used to be. I had a big gap in my mouth. Throughout the years I've been thinking about getting it fixed. It came out good.

The way I was treated as I walked in, it was a really nice experience. They were all very friendly, and when Breanna took my scans she was very helpful and made everything very easy. I would definitely come here again if I were to start this process all over again.

I had been for a check up at 600 East Mall and met a rep called Ahmed. He was really welcoming and made me comfortable. He answered to all my doubts patiently. Very nice person. Thank you Ahmed. He explained everything clearly. I would undergo the treatment with SmileDirect. As far as recommendations is concerned, will do it once I see the results myself.

Easy, streamlined experience. Very clean, with a lot of cleaning done right in front of you. Frequent stops to ask questions and to have them answered. Request to choose full payment or monthly right then and there, no option really for just coming back another day, so in person does kind of have that salesman push.

SmileDirectClub was cheaper at the time. The initial setup was good. I'm still using them. I initially did the 22 hours for a couple of years. And I did a couple of months of nighttime. They recently put me on one last set of daytime aligners again. The only tough issue is it's a super automated through-email type of process. So, this most recent round, I didn't get the email for the touch-in or the halfway check-in. And when I sent them in, all I do is talk to customer representatives, so it's hard to get direct answers of what I'm actually looking for or get clear-cut answers. So, 90% of the process is good, but there is that lack of, "Hey, this is supposed to be a check-in."
It says I need to get a touch-up. But is there a reason why? Or just maybe a little more detail in everything. Other than that, I'm happy. There are just minute things to work out. I didn't think I would be able to do aligners just because my teeth were bad. So, it has been nice not having to go through braces and being able to take this route.

US VIDEO, and Canadian video are different. Same for brochure and online info. US says 2.5 mins for impressions. Canada says 3. 5 minutes. I was not aware I had to leave impressions in tray (was not specified or clear at first). So 1st try was only so so as I try to extract impressions. TOO MANY emails, though. Still have not received aligners even though I have an email saying they were shipped a while ago. Same for whitening kit, etc.

Amber was incredibly kind and friendly throughout the process and made the experience enjoyable. My only apprehension is the regarding the policy to ask for payments just after telling me it would be 72 hours for the doctors to evaluate if SDC would work for me. I know that helps with sales and that they don’t charge unless it’s confirmed to work, but I didn’t feel like I had ample time to think about the decision. I said yes to paid review because I was given a free bag that contained chapstick and teeth whitening samples.

Technician spoke so rapidly I could not get a word in or process what she was saying. Did not explain what was happening. Had me "sign here" without telling me it was signing to purchase the aligners. Was going through the motions and assumed I knew what she was talking about and got visibly frustrated when I was able to get a word in to ask a question. I almost walked out until I reminded myself I would never see her again and she wasn't involved in my treatment plan.

My intention was to get night wear only aligners. My teeth were previously straightened, and have just a few small gaps that have come with age. Your form doesn’t include a place to check for that, so I wrote instructions. After that, I sent a message through my online login to confirm. The response was that I was getting all day wear. I immediately cancelled the order and got a refund. Not happy at all for the waste of time.

It was rushed. Questions we're discouraged. I was told to go online for answers to questions. No local dentist or orthodontist to see if you have a problem. The initial contact was totally about sales not care. Hope it's not a total waste of money. Time will tell.

I live in a mental health center instead of shop in Beverly Hills like braces not the same as veneers or fake **. I do not have social media to take pictures of my smile. You cannot take photos or use the internet or have camera in a mental asylum.

SmileDirectClub was the cheaper option. I filled out the stuff, and they sent me the stuff in a box. I got the clay stuff, bit down on them, and sent everything in. It was self-explanatory. But I hate changing sets because it messes with my teeth so much. And when I called and asked about that sometimes one of my teeth feels loose, they told me that it was normal because it is shifting my teeth. Every time I've had a question, they've gotten back to me quickly. They've been good to go through.

I was very excited to start my journey but it’s been nothing but disappointing. I have to constantly keep calling customer service and they keep telling me someone will be email or call me with 3 business days and no one does! This is not what I was expecting and frankly don’t want to recommend or even continue.

The kit was easy to follow. Got my results very promptly. The 30 sec to mix the 2 clays is not enough though. It needs 60 sec but the other steps are faster. I was also scared the impressions would crack when being transported. Something to hold them in place would be nice. Lastly I wish the app would track all these steps too - it says it will only track once my aligners are ordered - not cool.

I did not receive any updates on my aligners. Went 2 times for scan. When I chatted with the agent Oscar. yesterday and said if it's taking too long cancel it. He simply cancelled it without telling me the exact status. Nor answered my questions. When I called I got to know my aligners were ready which he did not mention. I don't trust the service as your agents are miscommunicating and acting without informing customers. I would like to escalate this issue and need a call back from some senior agent who understands the situation.

Communication prior to my visit was superb. Multiple text and emails. Once I arrived I was greeted by a lovely young lady, Linda. She expeditiously registered me and had me in the exam room in no time. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant.

The experience to do the molds and send them to you guys was great. I have no issue with the way you handle your business and I thought your website was awesome. Unfortunately, my teeth have just too many gaps in the back of my mouth that I think only braces can fix. I saw in my "new smile" that you can fix the overbite I have but you can't fix the gaps I have in the back. Which is OK. I was just trying to see if I could get away from getting braces at 23 years old! But oh, well. I really love your services and I would've paid for the aligners but I need more than just fixing my overbite.

I was lied to during the process. The lady who scanned my teeth said I had to preorder the aligners before getting a image. I explained to her that this process was different than the last time as I had aligners in the past through SmileDirectClub. She forced me to put my credit card information in and select a plan to move forward. In addition, I told her I was a member in the past (2018) and she said I would still need to get a whole new plan. I called customer service later that day, and the explained that everything she said and did was untrue. I did it need to prepay and as a former member, there are different plans for me and that I did not need to pay all over. I am very disappointed that I was told lies for personal gain. Having unethical people work for the company will be SmileDirectClub downfall.

The manager was rude. The tech doing my scans didn’t seem very experienced or probably needed more training. When she asked the manager for help, she was condescending; making the experience awkward for me. They literally put me out when I was done. No lip balm and I didn’t get my free whitening kit.

I have been trying to get a claim form from Smile Direct to submit to my dental insurance provider for 3 months now. Every week the only response is a new representative, asking to start over. It's infuriating. When I call and finally speak to a customer service representative it's more of the same, they say they will work on it and I will receive the claim form with all of our charges within a week or two, yet every week it's a new email from a different representative asking to send a new email with my request. Then, nothing happens, I call again, and the cycle continues. As of now, I would not recommend SmileDirectClub to anyone, based solely on their horrendous customer service.

I gave SmileDirectClub a call and they just happened to have a satellite visit going on in a local area so I went with it. For four months, I'm very pleased with the results, except for the back teeth. The aligners only went to the second to the last two teeth so my back very bad teeth didn't straighten out and they are sticking out. That was the only negative thing I have. They kept it informative. If anything, they badgered me to try and buy their products. But I could have gotten assistance anytime I need it. Also, I wish I could have spent less money, but it is what it is. It was a great experience.

I confirmed more than once my payment a deal I was offered that 250 down & 49 a month. Now I am able to order. Deal is not there & nobody can help me. I did this cause that was in my budget. Now I can’t.

I was greeted at the door which felt so welcoming. Jelerin was such a breath of fresh air. She was so pleasant and made a point to connect with me before she started the process. Great communication before, during, and after the appointment. Everyone was professional and helpful. Uli carefully explained everything and patiently answered all my questions. When you walk in, the office is airy, clean and welcoming. Every interaction I had in the office was enjoyable. The appointment was quick (less than 10 mins). I wish I knew this was an option before struggling to complete my molds at home. After talking to someone about my smile in person, I feel more confident that the plan I’m paying for is actually going to fix my smile.

You tell me you can't correct the bottom teeth due to gum issues, that I would have to go to an orthodontist. However, you can adjust my top teeth, which weren't bad in the first place, and the price is only $350 less? Plus you're not going to give me the $100 coupon off that I had to make minor adjustments for my top teeth only? No. I would have done it for half the price but it is not worth $1600 for upper liners only.

The process seems very disjointed. I still have not heard back on if insurance will cover any of the cost. The Dr. just sent me my 3-D images but there is no contact with the Doctor. Which seems very odd. I have questions that I would like to ask him and it does not seem that is an option. The whole process has just been email and wait, so how do I know that I will get what I am paying for...

I spoke to my dentist and I have a cross bite and I am not eligible for Smile Direct Club. I called and asked if I would be covered if something goes wrong. You guys said no it’s not your responsibility. If you guys don’t stand with your product why should I?

SmileDirectClub is more affordable than Invisalign and Candid. I messaged SmileDirectClub on Facebook whenever I need something. I had a issue with a refund for the impression kit and they gave me my refund the same day. They say you can get it done in six months, but it depends on the type of your teeth. Because this is my fourth refinement. I already knew it would take more than a year for my teeth to get straight because of how bad they are. So the timeframe is moderate for me. And recently, they changed the material they use and I like it a lot. I got some refinement yesterday. I finally put them on. It doesn't feel the same as the ones I had before. It fits better on my teeth now. That makes me so happy.

Signed up with a coupon code they did not honor. Manager was rude and unwilling to call a supervisor or customer care to help. Left without making an order. Very deceptive financing practices and very rude customer service from Manager Mercy.

I received a call today from someone at Smiledirect and they are not able to go ahead with the treatment. When I went for my 3D scan last week I was told to expect my liners in two weeks and that the process could go ahead. They said I'd be a great candidate for the process. I was so excited! When I got the call this morning I was so disappointed. They said they could do just the top liner but that is not my problem area.

My Smile Direct visit to get my teeth scanned went perfectly smooth. Michelle was very informative and kept the environment low pressure and lighthearted, which I really liked. All my questions and concerns were answered and she gave me some really solid advice along the way. Definitely would recommend their services if you’re in the area. You can tell these people love what they do and it definitely shows. Nice facility, 10/10 would recommend.

The process was very smooth and easy to understand. The guy helping me was also super nice and answered all of my questions regarding the retainers as well as all of my insurance questions. I also get very anxious/skittish during any type of dental examinations & he was very patient with me & reassured me the whole time. I would definitely recommend it to any friends/family that was looking for an easy way to get retainers.

My technician was lovely, but I’m not even sure I want to do this. I like my teeth, just wanted to straighten some bottom ones, and I’m scared of having an overly perfect smile. (I like a bit of character.) The fact that you are supposed to sign right there was a HUGE turnoff.

SmileDirectClub was less expensive. I finished right around Christmastime. I need to buy a new retainer every six months which I’ll wear at night. There is a tremendous difference. It's mmediately noticeable from other people. I'm very happy with it. I feel great.

I was hoping to get my teeth corrected but was returned a 'new' smile which only very slightly altered my top row of teeth - not the bottom. This would be a pointless exercise for me as the bottom set are where I require alteration. I was told that I could not get a refund as my top teeth were deemed acceptable for alteration - i.e. very little movement required. In this instance I would have expected to get a refund as there would be no point in my proceeding.

I ordered and received my aligners from Smile Direct Club early last year. They provide an image of how your teeth will look once the treatment is completed, and I was excited for the results. However, once completed, my teeth looked nothing as shown. Also, during this four month period, I had no virtual appointment with my dentist (which there is no information of online - weird).
The second touch up did not work as the aligners were too loose. During this time, my teeth shifted back to how they originally looked. By the time the third touch up came in - I had the same issue. In December 2021, I spoke to someone over the phone about this problem and they promised me new aligners and they would expedite the process. They sent me an impression kit which took over two weeks to come in because ordering from online was not working. I had to call in three times before someone adequate enough was able to ship them to me. When they finally received my impression kit, I called right away to ensure they were aware of the expedited process - which they weren't. The lady at this point stated that it will take 10 days for them to have the aligners sent to me as they will expedite it.
I called again today to see if the process has started and the lady approved my aligner touch while on the phone with me.... This should have been done on Saturday!. Furthermore, she stated that we cannot expedite the process. I waited an hour to speak to the resolution team (not even the supervisor) and she stated that the manufacturer is now not expediting orders anymore!!! This decision was apparently made one week ago and when I spoke to the person 5 day ago, she stated that they could. This company needs to better coordinate with their employees about major decisions that are being made and honour their word - especially for clients that they provided the wrong treatment plan for. I would get a second opinion first before relying on this company.

I was very excited to begin with my SDC smile journey after A LOT of research about what companies are best for the at home smile experience. I have a built in retainer, which I let SDC know about, and they confirmed was OKAY. However, even if you have straight bottom teeth, there is not a "half price" or "half" option to only pay for upper teeth correction. I was okay with that being that I really wanted to have my smile corrected in a quick time frame, and doing so at home. I signed up for the plan with the NYE sale (free toothbrush, whitening kit, and gift card). This was turned into confusion with Customer Service and they did redeem this by giving me the $200.00 off and the promotional products.
Customer service was extremely confused when I emailed them about these matters, and asked me to show "proof" that I got this promotion deal via email/text messages. That being said- I still have not received my whitening kit or my gift card (even after receiving my aligners). When SDC sent me my aligners, it seemed to be hurting my lower teeth. Because I do have my built in retainer, I wasn't sure if I actually had to wear my bottom aligners and called to ask if they were necessary.
When I called, it became aware that my aligners were actually WRONG for me. They had told me that the aligners sent to me were meant for me- only if I had gotten my bottom retainer removed (this information was NEVER given to me) and that I could not continue using only the top aligner because my bite would be ruined without the bottom aligners being used. If I would have continued using these retainers, I would have had major issues considering I do still have my retainer in!! What blows my mind here is that I would have continued with this plan, that was wrong for me, without either them knowing, or me knowing, if I would have not reached out about the bottom aligners question because of the discomfort.
I let customer service know that this (4) month plan that was given to me was dependent on a summer date that I very much needed my smile to be complete by. While they apologized, they let me know that they needed to make an entire new plan for me, and this process wouldn't be ready until the dentist confirmed, made me new aligners, and these were able to be sent out (another process of 5-6 weeks). They let me know that this would be a free process considering this was entirely their fault. They also said that they could not give me any further discounts for the complete and total disconnection disorganization they had caused and possibly damaged smile I would have had if I had continued with those aligners. They said this because I had already had $200.00 off - however this was because of again, their customer service, and the promotion that was going on.
Even better, when I reached out a week and a half after this conversation was had, they were still expecting me to pay for my new aligners!! Customer service then confirmed that they had reached out and let their service team know that in fact, I did not need to pay, and the aligners could then move forward. So the aligners were again, not going to move forward in the correct direction, if I had not reached out.
I can't give you an update on my aligners or any of the actual process because I have not been able to ever use the aligners given. But the problems I've had thus far would not encourage me to recommend SDC to anyone. I was not given any compensation for what has happened to me thus far, what very much could have happened to my smile/bite if I had not realized the issue at hand, and I clearly will not be reaching my goal of having a straight smile before my goal date.

I had a small space in between my two front teeth which is not serious dental work. I just needed to pull them together. I didn't want to get braces, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. So, I thought I'd try SmileDirectClub. And that's what I did. They were very helpful along the way. In the beginning, they sent me all that wax so I could do those impressions. And that was a little intimidating. But after I did the first one, I said, “Okay, I got this.” So, everything worked smoothly.
The only thing is in order to keep my teeth aligned, I would have to wear a retainer forever. And that was a bit daunting. I thought about going to a dentist and see if there was some type of a permanent retainer that could be put in. I know that if I wanted to keep my smile after I've done all that work and spent all that money, I would have to have a retainer. I just didn't realize that I would have to buy one. But I bought three retainers, they last 18 months, and it was only 90 bucks. But it was very easy. My work was minor, and I could have worn them 22 hours a day for four months and have been done with it. But that was a lot. So I said, “Can I do the night time?” The night time took eight months instead of four months. If you have a situation like mine, I would definitely try using SmileDirectClub.

I just did the first appointment for asking questions and take some pictures today. The lady was nice but pushed me to give my card and sign a document. But no thank you!!! I want to have more time to think and ask for a second opinion. I am at the beginning of my research. I don't want the payment to start and I want to have the choice. How to do? I did not want this customer experience but waiting. Are you going to buy a donut the same way as spending almost $2000 in a 10 minute appointment?… I don't think so!!! Thank you for not keeping my number and my debit card and giving the customer the choice!

I went to SDC in Orland Park, IL and had an amazing experience. Soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and taken care of. All my questions was answered. I was a bit nervous, but the front desk lady was very sweet and reassuring. I got to the back and Marquis was awesome as well. I had my 2 year old with me, but it wasn’t a problem for him and we got right through the visit. Visit was fast, informative, pleasant and the staff is absolutely the sweetest. Walked out smiling and ready to start my new smile journey.

The initial experience within the brick and mortar location to be fitted for initial liners was fine, where the trouble starts is if you have any issues after the fact. You are unable to contact anyone but an overseas call center and no one is of any help. I ordered extra retainers back in November of 2021. An old credit card was on file so it didn't process, that's on me. Once I realized this, I added an updated card on December 10th. Normally, Smile Direct says that your retainers should ship within a few weeks.
Around January 10th (a month later), I called into Smile Direct's "Customer Service" line, to get a status of my order. I was then told that even though my credit card had been charged the month prior, the order was never processed on their end and they would then do it at that time. I was then told that it would be 4-5 weeks from this point in time, so over 2 months from the time I initially was charge a few hundred dollars. I asked if there was any way that it could expedited since Smile Direct didn't process my order correctly, and I was told they would give a call the following week to get the status. I never received a call.
I called the "Customer Service" line back on January 21st to again inquire on the status. They did nothing but repeat back to me everything I already knew, saying it would still be a few more weeks from this point now. I asked to speak to a supervisor which is when I was transferred to someone else. Going through the entire situation again, this person then told me that it wasn't Smile Direct's fault, and that it was "common sense" that when I was charged in December that I should have called Smile Direct to ensure they were processing my order. Not only was he rude, he told me there was no one else I could escalate this to.
A day or two later, I received another email saying that I had an order processed at that point in time, and with would be a few weeks more. At this point, I have been charged hundreds of dollars, coming up on two months ago. I do not know if anything is being shipped to me or when, and there is no one I can apparently escalate this to but an endless call center. Be warned that if you go with Smile Direct, this is the only service you can expect to receive.

I have always wanted to see what could be done to improve my smile. There was a local shop and making a schedule online was super easy. The second I showed up for my appointment, everyone was friendly and my consultant took the time to understand what I was looking to improve about my smile, answered all my questions, and dissipated any doubts I had about the program. I want to first call out. I didn't go to the Charlotte smile shop and I did the pop up event near Charleston. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment and then was not seen until 40 minutes after it started. I think the actual scan process was fine and highlighting how the pictures work, but more time was spent on billing than treatment. Furthermore, I asked multiple times to not be automatically billed and I wanted to see the treatment plan first. I was told, "don't worry we are not gonna take your money". Within the 72 hour window my card was attempted to be charged despite me explicitly stating my preference multiple times I wanted to see the plan first. Thankfully I locked my card so it did not go through and have since worked with customer service to remove my card from my account.
The billing and order experience feels very wasteful and slimy. I understand having a card on file for missed appointments, but having a hidden autopay setting and then not being able to remove my own payment information was not a great experience. The way those conversations made me feel like I made a mistake as soon as I left my appointment.

I'm extremely disappointed in Smile Direct. I’ve gone multiple times to get my scans done and update my form of payment and was told I would be given approval within 72 hours. No approval. When I called to follow up a C.S rep advised she would follow up with me on 1/28. No follow up either. I feel like I’m chasing you guys to get started and I don’t like that. Please do not charge my card on file, I will look for services elsewhere.

Had a coupon of 49$ to use, and I asked the agent and he’s said yeah I can use it and just need down payment which He was very persistent to take, then logged in to my account and saw a different quote which was 36$ for 60 months.. Tried to speak to a different agent. After 4 attempts got this lady who said the real quote is 49$ for 60 months, which means I would pay 3100$ At the end of the treatment.. Like how on earth the price after using 50% coupon is way higher than the original price? At this price I would get Invisalign.

Everything was wonderful experience up until the insurance that made me choose not to order. I have 2 dental insurances. I should not have to go through a headache of reimbursement after paying out of pocket and financing with your company a full amount.

The scan was great, the employees that worked with me during my scan were very professional and made me feel comfortable. However the reason I haven’t purchased my aligners is because I wasn’t satisfied with the future look they provide you with. The main reason was they fix the front gap and it didn’t show that would be corrected. Apparently the person I spoke with put in a request for the dentist to look at that again and make modifications but I have got nothing. I don’t want to pay for something that isn’t going to correct my initial problem. If they told me that would be corrected I would have already purchased the aligners.

Right from the first greeting it was a great experience. Max explained everything and answered all my questions patiently, and provided a lot of extra info I wouldn't have known to ask for. At the same time he wasn't pushy which was really good because I got additional information I wanted to think over to make sure I was making the right decision. If he had been pushy I would have left feeling crappy and possibly written off the whole thing. Max was also friendly, engaging and I didn't feel judged for my less than ideal condition which was important to me.

This morning I had my appointment with Tanya at the location on Upper Kirby in Houston TX. I absolutely loved the comfort and homey atmosphere there and Tanya’s great service and care. In my initial treatment plan, I didn't receive options for treatment given that I have a bonded perm retainer on my bottom teeth. I provided that information in the original questionary. I would have expected treatment options given the retainer being present. I had to request the doctor reevaluate my molds to see if treatment could focus only on the top teeth.

This entire experience has been a pain from the start. I emailed customer service a month ago with my insurance information to see about my coverage and I have still not heard back. I had to call customer service and send my photos to an email address because your website did not work. I do not appreciate all of the emails and texts urging me to go ahead and submit my payment when your customer service is the reason I have not done so already. If they would actually check insurance coverage and reply to your customers I would already have completed the process.

SmileDirectClub was very cooperative and understanding. The experience of having my teeth scanned and the whole process that they went through and explanations were brilliant. And the aligners were fantastic. The course correction that we made partway through, they had me doing a follow-up scan. And they gave me a new set of aligners. Everything went very well.
For some reason, in the system, I kept getting emails as if I had not signed up in addition to having signed up. So, I kept getting tons of marketing emails saying, “Please sign up. Your opportunity is now,” etc. But I’m already in the system. Also, there was some misunderstanding having to do with ordering the retainers at the end of the process. I must have misunderstood what I thought I had agreed to order and the order was never processed, or I just never ordered. I thought I explicitly said, “Yes, I wanted to order these.” And there was never an order. I reached in, “So, shouldn’t I be getting these?” “Well, you've never ordered them.” A little snafu there. So, I ordered them.
I completed. I'm very pleased. My retainers have been received. I still have the last set of aligners. And they're getting a bit gnarly. Every so often, I have one of my lower teeth that catches a bit on the inside of my lower lip. It feels like it's out of position. But I look at it in the mirror and it's great. I had a snaggletooth on the upper right and a snaggletooth on the lower left. So it brought them in align. It spread my teeth out a bit so that they had space to stay there. All good.

I thought Amber was very nice and informative but was very pushy about getting me to "sign up now" - finance this important decision and turned me off. After I told her NO - 3 or 4 times she kept pushing me to sign up NOW. Not everyone is going to sign on the spot and is comfortable with that sales tactic. I like to do my research and explained to her that I have enough $ to pay the full amount in my HSA account but she still proceeded to tell me to sign up for monthly payments now and then pay it off. Not everyone is going to sign on the spot... it made me pretty irritated actually. I went from being excited about this to annoyed and going home googling more options to check into. Also, why do I have to pay full price if I only need the top aligners? That doesn't seem fair to me. Will be looking with other options.

My biggest complaint is that the down payment was hidden and it was charged and was not unauthorized. I was advertised a promo that made the aligners $49 a month. There was no mention of a down payment, until I was charged. The charge subsequently put my account in the negative and I am receiving overdraft fees until the refund is processed. I feel like it may not raise to the level of false advertisement but it felt very close.

My son's teeth were sort of crooked so we did SmileDirectClub. I liked their price. The result was amazing too. I have another son who just had his wisdom teeth taken out. I'm about to do his impression kit and send it to SmileDirectClub. We'll definitely be using them again and I would recommend them. My sons didn't have to miss any school for orthodontic appointments and I didn't have to bring them to the dentist. SmileDirectClub kept up with us through emails if we had any problems. It was very easy to use.

I would like to give a good review but this place is in the most horrific location ever. I would never go there without my husband and our guns. The area is beyond dangerous and disgustingly filthy. The traffic is ridiculous and the lack of parking is absurd to have to deal with. Take my advice, don’t go here. Wait until they open a location in the Alpharetta, GA area. Every good business has an Alpharetta location north of the city and this one would do well to quickly open in a higher end area! I will give a shout out to the employees I interacted with. They knew the location was horrific but did their best to apologize for it. They did a great job scanning my teeth so I could get out of there quickly.

I felt like I was misled at the consultation. I told them more than once I wasn't ready to proceed and wanted to check with my dentist and insurance and needed more time. I just started looking into this and wanted to take advantage of the pop up near my house. Even though I signed the agreement I was told that I would get a review of how my teeth would change and then could cancel if I wasn't ready or satisfied before the process started and any charges were incurred. It seemed like that was the only option. They never mentioned an option of deciding later only cancelling if I didn't want to proceed.
The first E-mail I received was a payment plan and then a notice my aligners were in process. I was told I would get the option to proceed or not to proceed. No question of if I wanted to proceed - I was signed up, charged and the process started. I called to cancel which was very easy and I may very well still proceed with the aligners at a later date. I also had to request the imaging of how my teeth would move when I called to cancel. The other parts of the consultation went well and the technology and imaging was impressive. The person who helped me was knowledgeable - just felt like he pushed me into signing up without any other option and that what he told me would happen didn't happen. If they would have listened to me and said "OK take your time. We'll send you all of the info and sign up when you're ready."
I would have given 5 stars. Maybe they don't get commission for that. I felt like they didn't listen to me and it was a misleading pressure tactic to get me to sign up. I hope that isn't the case. It doesn't seem like that kind of organization and I hope you offer an option for customers to take their time and decide. I also hope that everything will work out and I'll decide to proceed with the aligners- when I'm ready! Thank you!

It started okay, but was not expecting my appointment to be so “sales” focused. You could tell the employees only cared to make a sale. I mentioned that I was interested in the nighttime aligners and was immediately shut down by being told “oh our doctors don’t recommend those”. They were very pushy and weren’t super knowledgeable of teeth and the process. The 3D scan was extremely uncomfortable and took like 25 mins. My appointment that was supposed to be 30 mins but ended up being over an hour. More than likely will not be going through with SDC.

Overall, I had an excellent visit to the Nashville Smile shop. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I was greeted warmly and the sign in process was easy and fast. I was late due to a very challenging parking situation downtown and they moved my appointment back 30 minutes. The only reason I didn’t give the visit 5 stars was the parking situation. It ended up costing me $30 dollars to park downtown and that was the only place I could find that had available spots. The process of getting a 3D image of my teeth was easy and fun and my “smile guide” was friendly and professional. The entire process took less than 30 minutes. I was so impressed I joined the club and look forward to my new and improved smile.

I had an appointment at 2:30 but got there early, I thought I would have to wait but they took me in right away and were very nice! Also explained everything I needed to know, I left with no questions to ask.☺️ Love it!!

The lady who helped me at my appointment was extremely nice and greatly exceeded my expectations. I came in feeling vulnerable and insecure and she made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. The entire experience was definitely great and I would highly recommend to a friend. My boyfriend who came with me even is now considering doing aligners through SmileDirectClub! Overall a 10/10 experience.

I brought my daughter in (a teen) to begin her Smiles journey. She’s usually anxious and very quiet during medical/dental visits. Not so today. We met with Drew (I believe that is his name) and he put my daughter so much at ease that she actually enjoyed the visit. Only negative about today in her mind is that we don’t have to go back in to the office (since the plan and process don’t require subsequent visits). My Smile shop visit was really easy. Uli, my Smile guide, made me feel comfortable and he explained everything. It eased my anxiety about getting work done on my teeth. Not only that but it took just under 30 minutes to complete the whole visit. Definitely will recommend to others.

I sent in my impressions, my pictures were approved. I was so excited, I received emails letting my impressions were good. I was pumped up. The emails kept coming, "Your impressions are approved, we are working on your smile plan, we will have your plan in 3 days." Over a week went by, I assumed they were still working on it. I have struggled with my teeth my entire life. I was finally doing something about it. I was on cloud 9! Then I get a random call from SDC 10 days later. Totally nonchalant and not a care in the world. Doctor so and so had approved my plan! Woo hoo! Then bam, but only for your bottom teeth. I was frozen. I said, "So you can’t do anything about my tops?" "Nope," he replied, "You will need metal braces for those, would you like to continue?"
This guy had just knocked the wind out of me and to him it was no biggie, I couldn’t speak so I just said no. I then hung up and bawled for 2 hours straight. I can’t have metal braces due to a health condition. So after 42 years of covering my mouth when I smile I was jumping for joy, just to be slapped off my cloud with no warning. There needs to be earlier intervention in the process for people to have an idea that it may not work out. There are pictures on their site they claimed to have fixed that were worse than my situation. I’m assuming they cannot be real. Be more empathetic, take into account what this means to some clients. You really get us worked up and then let us down by dropping an anvil on our heads. You broke my heart Smile Direct Club. Do better!

I drove six hours to a location in Chandler, AZ from El Paso, TX because that is the closest location. SIX HOURS THERE AND BACK (12 HOURS TOTAL)!!!! I went in and had my 3D image taken - person was very nice. Lena (don't know last name) said I would receive my aligners within 2-3 weeks. This worked because I have an event to attend beginning of March. Well, it has been two months and nothing!!! I called today to see what's going on and the lady at the 800 number told me the reason I haven't received anything is because I need to get a teeth cleaning done. WHAT???? Are you kidding me?
First of all, no one told me this had to be done while I was there. Second, NO ONE HAS REACHED OUT TO ME TO LET ME KNOW. Third and most importantly, WHAT BUSINESS IS IT OF SMILEDIRECTCLUB THAT I GET A CLEANING? Seriously? My teeth are in really good shape and I'm paying almost $2,000 for these aligners!!!! Who do these people think they are? THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE!!!! My suggestion is just pay the extra money and go with INVISALIGN!

The rep walks in with no introduction, just a dry “hi.” She asked if I’d been there before. I said yes and that was it. Next thing I know I’m being to put something in my mouth with explanation as to why or how until I started to struggle figuring it out on my own. Then boom a long narrow camera is being shoved in my mouth with no explanation as to why or what exactly they’re looking for, how long it will take. Absolutely nothing. I Feel if you shove something in someone’s mouth they should be given an explanation as to why and what’s going on in detail. After we were done I was told that I would receive a package and The details of the package were explained although the information was already on the aligner kits. I was never told how long it was gonna take. I had to ask myself. I was never told how often to use the teeth whitening. I had to ask myself.
Then she pulled out her iPad and was very straight to the point about the payments. Very dry and awkward. I have dental insurance but it was never presented as an option which I thought she would at least check. She did then say she was going to return but she never came back. 10 minutes later I was greeted by another woman who asked me if I still had the teeth whitener from my last visit years ago. I said no. She gave it to me and said, "If there’s no other questions we’ll reach out in 72 hours."
This was the worst experience compared to the first time that I went into the Smile Direct office. I don’t understand how this place is called smile direct when one of their employees isn’t even smiling or communicating. I am happy I never have to go back into the office again. I promise if you look at a video of my experience you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about. I arrived at 2:25 or earlier for my 2:30 appointment on 1/21/22 at the westheimer location in TX.

The establishment was clean and provided plenty of parking. I was checked in by a friendly lady and then she led me to Lucy, the person who scanned my teeth. Lucy's communication is why I'm giving my visit 3 stars. I had a lot of questions and I felt like they were not welcomed and that they were dumb questions. It seemed that she was trying to gloss over my questions and get to the scanning and taking my info. She alluded that my card would be charged automatically but didn't clearly state that. So I asked her directly and she confirmed. It felt sneaky. I told her I still had questions before my card gets charged and she said she will take it off file. I never saw her do this so I hope she did it after I left. Overall, this company did not earn my trust.

I'm sorry to say that I have decided to go with Candid instead of Smile Direct Club after numerous failed attempts to get details resolved. Customer service personnel were always very friendly but unable to do anything but submit an email to ask for help. After 2 submitted tech tickets, the glitch in my patient portal was never fixed (couldn't upload a picture). After 2 more tickets submitted, the consent email for xrays was finally sent to me more than a week later. In the meantime I was receiving spam emails and texts urging me to send in my impressions when I had in fact mailed them back the same day I received them. I have lost confidence in this company and will not be giving them my money.

I had tried the impressions. However had difficulty with double prints. The 3-D screening process was incredibly easy. Total time spent was 15 to 20 minutes. Bianca was incredible. Would recommend. It is worth the travel.

Everything went well, I explained to the girl I was having a bridge replaced and implant. Should I wait until that’s completed? She said I didn’t have to. After speaking to my dentist, he said, "You definitely have to wait until that is completed before they got you for aligners." When I completed the visit I said so when will be charged the $89 as was walking out she said no they will charge $250.
This was never mentioned, it’s OK but I should have been told (and they will bill the following day since you have 24 hours to change your mind. So I called the next morning and they put my account on “hold”. I found out later they charged me the $250 the same day I was there. Not what they told me.). I called later and had them cancel my order until my bridge was repaired. So I can get my $250 back, they told me it was 2-10 business days to get credited on a charge that never should have occurred. Anyway the 2 customer service agents were very nice & helpful and my daughter is very happy with hers. So I guess I will see you in the future...

Horrible experience. I was told at my skin and I’m a take one to three weeks right now for my aligners to get in. And then I downloaded the app after ordering them which said 4 to 6 weeks. And then I received my confirmation email which said 2 to 3 weeks. Horrible canceled really wanted to do this but going to go with Invisalign instead.

I was working with a member of your team on insurance and was told I needed my impressions to be assigned to a Doctor in order to get the treatment plan. Once that happened, you charged my card $2000. I then called to cancel this charge because I need to check with insurance first..The gentleman I talked to yesterday said he would send the treatment plan and he still has not.

I am someone who has always been insecure of my teeth. Often times I am too embarrassed to smile in photos or to bring any attention to them. Going into my 3D Scan Appointment I was feeling very nervous and embarrassed, but fortunately enough for me I had the opportunity to work with a wonderful employee Charlinda. Due to her guidance, I left my appointment feeling at ease and hopeful for my journey with SmileDirectClub. Am definitely going to be recommending this to my friends!! 10/10!!!

My main complaint is that I was early and the people before me were late, so I had to wait 15 minutes and extend my parking. The scan is way better than the impression. This should improve the outcome. The insurance is a little wonky as you have to pay upfront and get reimbursed. I am still waiting to see how much I qualify for as my insurance is out of their network. That process could be a little more seamless. Overall I was satisfied with my visit.

Very disturbing customer service upon initial arrival (Linda who scanned my teeth was pleasant). They kicked my husband out of the lobby because he didn’t have the appointment and I did. My husband is the one paying for the appointment. He has every right to be there. I just about walked out entirely but just drove an hour to get here only to have my husband kicked out. Utter nonsense. He is my power of attorney for freaking sakes. Very disappointed in the company if this is in fact policy.

I liked the process l, and the technology used. However, I hated the customer service. The lady was rude to me for no reason, every question I asked she said it’s in the instructions. Like okay? But I’m asking you. Yes, not helpful. I’ll read the instructions, thanks shouldn’t have drove an hour and just read the instructions at home if I knew that was the deal with the client service.
