    Would have been better if I was shown my “dream smile” or whatever you call it. They did not show me it, I had to wait until it came online but I was under the impression that it happens in office too. Either way, the staff was nice. My issues comes from the false advertisement I received when I purchased my aligners. I was sent an email asking if I wanted them within 5 business days paying an extra $100 dollars. I agreed to and submitted a form.

    I didn’t see any changes to my account so I reached back out days later and was told it was rejected because it was a promotion and they were no longer offering fast ship. This was a promotion I had no clue about until it was sent to me!! Absolutely ridiculous!! Someone could have reached out to me and said, "Our apologies, let’s send it out to you the way you were told, you can have it." But no, guess y’all don’t truly care!! This is just a sign for me to get the real deal. Appointment already made! I’ll pay the price to not have any bite issues and more messed-up teeth! So thanks!

    Was 6 minutes late to my appointment after getting caught in traffic. Was told there were no available appointments the rest of the day, called to speak with customer service and she said there was not only an available appointment during the time I was waiting there, but another one at 4 pm. She scheduled that appointment and I drove all the way back there later that day. Then after my scan she apparently didn’t close my appointment so after ordering my aligners my account has been on hold for 2 weeks and I’ve had to call about 8 times to get it resolved, and I’m still not sure if it even is resolved at this point so I’m sure I’ll have to call back again. Had multiple people I was referring and after this experience, I’ll let them know to go elsewhere because it’s been nothing but a headache.

    When I returned my impression kit, I marked the full payment option but put a note that I would like to split my payment between a FSA and my card on file. I DID NOT sign the signature line to authorize my card being charged. It was charged anyways on 3/17. I called that same day to request a refund. I had to call 3 times because I kept getting hung up on. Finally, the gentleman who helped me stated he requested the refund and I should be getting this between 2-10 days, but likely around the 2 days since it had just been charged. I asked if we could expedite the aligners once the refund was done, since this was going to delay the process by 2 weeks.

    They told me there were options for express shipping and that my account was simply put on hold. 14 days went by and still no refund. I called on 3/31 to see the status. The young woman on the phone informed me that on 3/31, my REQUEST was just approved and now they would have to process the refund, which would take another 2-10 days. When I asked why I was charged in the first place since I did not authorize and give my signature, she told me that by simply checking the payment box, that I gave authorization and my signature is not needed. This is not true!! It's illegal! I asked for a call from a supervisor. She said she would and ended the call.

    Meantime, I was in the cue for a chat. Gabriel contacted me via chat. I once again asked about the refund and he informed me that the rep on 3/17 did not communicate well. Since this process is now likely going to take over 3 weeks, who is responsible for any interest accrued on this credit card for unauthorized charges? We are talking almost $400. He notified me that there is nothing they can do for that, but likely it will be refunded before then. I inquired about the status of the printing of my aligners since I am still getting updates via app and email, that they are in printing status.

    I fully intended to still get the aligners and go through the program, I just wanted to use my FSA for half of the payment. Gabriel informed me that my order was CANCELLED on 3/17 and I would have to begin the entire process again. Obviously, this was not communicated to me and I am upset. What a waste of my efforts, in addition to an entire month. Only to have to start the process again, likely pushing another 6-8 weeks.

    This is very poor customer service and I will not be moving forward with your company. I am going to notify USAA that you charged illegal charges on my card and let them handle it from there. I was excited about this journey, but now will not be proceeding with your company. If this is the service I received before I even get the aligners, I can only imagine the nightmare that would ensue over the next 6 months. Do better, SmileDirectClub.

    A month after getting a scan, I called to follow up as have heard nothing. They now say they only can do the upper arch and not the lower but want to charge almost full price. I am not sure why they don't think they can do the lowers when that is what the aligners do.

    I struggled with their onerous process to submit photos of the inside of my mouth (they didn't like my lighting, my angles, my tongue placement, the focus, seeing all the teeth, angle of camera/chin/etc, etc). Once that was done, they sent me my plan and wanted my payment for the $2000 or so. I read the plan and realized they had left out my bottom teeth. I called. They replied the bottom was too crowded to fix but they would knock off $200 and do the top only for $1800. I declined and asked for the refund for what I had paid.

    Now, four weeks later, I have received no refund, but I've received probably 20-25 emails marketing their services and requesting payment. They appear to not read any information you send them, treat you as a bank account only, and ignore requests to stop sending emails. I block email addresses...but they send from multiple originators (the dentist, the marketeer, etc). For me: They were unprofessional, unhelpful, and have become a harassment. Just my experience. Your's may vary.

    I returned all products to your company and was advised by several agents that my refund was processed on March 16th. I repeatedly asked to speak with management and was denied. I was asked to allow 2-10 business days, which I did. During the time I was waiting for the refund, I was debited again for an additional monthly payment. I called and inquired and was advised they did not start a refund process. I called a local facility to assist since I wasted literally hours with your agents and she said she would forward my concern to headquarters. I received an email today that said they will start the refund process now and it would take 3-5 days to process and an additional 2-10 days to actually see the refund. I asked what the refund amount was and it is approximately $500.00 difference in what I should be refunded. I have a letter from your agent that states my refund amount.

    I would appreciate if someone would call me to resolve this matter asap. This has been a horrible experience and even the way your company is trying to assist me now is still inaccurate and unacceptable. I have yet to reach out to a lawyer to discuss the lies your company told me in addition to charging me for a product I no longer have. This is completely unacceptable.

    My scan went ok... Very "salesy". During the appointment the rep submitted my insurance info. Five days later, no email about my insurance status. I looked it up on my own. My insurance "could not be verified". I submitted the info again online. Four days later.... nothing. Once again, I looked it up myself.... "could not be verified". I filled out the online form again... Called customer service and walked through submitting my info together. Again... nothing. I completed the online form yet again and had a rep complete it via chat.... nothing. I emailed the insurance department and received nothing back for 4 days. I have orthodontic coverage, I verified it myself. I canceled my membership and have an appointment with Invisalign.

    After a week of waiting for my email with the 3D transformation and not receiving it, I called. After 35 minutes listening to a recording that estimated time of wait to be 10 minutes (!), I finally reached a rep. He checked my account and nothing had progressed as my pictures didn't match my 3D. Since I went to the office in St. Louis and my smile consultant took the pictures and did the scan I have no idea how they were not matching. They offered another appointment at the office 45 minutes away, but I wasn't a fan so they sent me an email with confusing instructions on how to take them myself. Apparently I'm a better photographer than I think as my little iPhone pics worked just fine. Two days later my emailed aligner plan came in and I've had 2 texts, 3 emails, and 4 calls. Annoying a bit since I didn't receive a single contact when I was waiting for a reply. I may still give them a try (am I nuts?) because I want the results but I'm a bit worried.

    First of all, when I got back my treatment plan there was no treatment plan for my bottom teeth or an explanation as to why that was not included. I had to call support to find out. I'm already upset at this point because I felt as a customer I'm not important enough to give an explanation to. Secondly, even though I can only get my top teeth aligned the cost is the same! Even though this is absurd, I probably would have purchased the top aligners HAD AN EXPLANATION been given to me initially. Two negative experiences already - I won't be giving this company my business. Also, I would recommend changing your hold music as it is extremely annoying.

    I became a customer in the Netherlands in June '21. The results of the first treatment (4.5 months) were disappointing and a new treatment plan was created. This new plan contained 9 aligners (3 months) but still the results were not as expected after finishing the treatment. In the meantime, all locations in the Netherlands were closed and it has been a challenge to get in touch with the company ever since. I received a self impression kit so that a third treatment plan could be made. I have sent this kit back to SmileDirectClub for more than a month (!) ago, but still the new plan has not been finalized. I have lost all sense of confidence that SmileDirectClub can deliver its expectations. I have also sent a letter of complaint weeks ago but did not receive any response yet. It feels like a complete waste of money (1750 EUR)!

    I had the kit sent home but I didn't do well. Then, I got an email that SmileDirect was going to be in town to do a little pop-up shop and I went and did that. That was much better. I had a 3-D thing and it wasn’t very long to get my aligners. They are comfortable for the most part. They’re shifting your teeth so there were a couple that were hard to get in. But once they got in, it was okay. That was at the beginning of it. I have my retainer now.

    My initial experience: I have been trying to contact someone ALL DAY! I tried the online chat which was zero help. Then I called and was told I had a 20 minute wait and requested a call back.     I received the wrong aligners, then when I got the correct ones they were cut wrong. I asked for a refund and to return my insurance back so that I could get my teeth done elsewhere. It has taken several weeks of cling every day to get some resolve. I have sent emails and left voice-mails for Victor the account manager to get back with me, and he hasn't.     I went for the scan and they walked me through what kind they were going to do. They did the scan and showed me the areas that needed to be tweaked and went through the paperwork. They showed me the normal cost and they built out my plan. Once that was built, I got a box with all my content in it. It has instructions per package on how to wear the product. It was all very clear, easy and made a ton of sense.

    They also said they'll overwhelm me with freebies. So I got a bag with a teeth whitening system, lip balm, and all kinds of stuff. It was really nice. I like really strong attention to customer service. I did the retainer for 24 hours for three weeks as prescribed. They give a really good result. I saw my dentist today and they're a little concerned about a cross bit. The retainer just made it a little more pronounced but it's nothing I can't deal with. I recommend Smile Direct. The one drawback is that you don't have somebody like when you go through a traditional braces process and you're checking in with your Orthodontist every like four to six weeks. You really have to trust that the initial scan was good and that the plan works. If you have a really complicated mouth then you needed some traditional Orthodontist.

    Everything was seamless. If I questioned the time frame they stated and called the number, they were very responsive. If they didn't have the answer, they put me on hold, came back, and had an answer. The wait time was normally limited. So it was good. I'm finished to the point where I don't have to do the 22-hour daily. So I'm in the first six months of the night only retainers and I'm about a month in right now. The aligners were comfortable. But if your teeth need to be straightened, you will feel the pressure. But they provide an emery board file to shape those aligners, but I personally took a pair of scissors and shaped them accordingly, not to obstruct what they are doing to align my teeth, but so that my tongue didn't feel like it was rubbing against something. So I was able to maneuver that without any issue.

    We were never told it’s only a four month program and my 3D Scan doesn’t look much better than what my teeth look like now! I will NOT pay $1950 for this. Completely unacceptable.     I personally didn’t like how SDC handles each unique case. My top teeth were approved but my bottom teeth weren’t. I believe that during the scan that SDC should be upfront on expectations. Also SDC makes it seem like I was going to be a good candidate the whole time. I was appalled by being asked to pay the same price to only fix the top teeth when my bottom teeth weren’t approved. There should be different brackets for different situations as no person has the same situation. I would not recommend this product as it’s only aimed for people with small improvements. Also pictures on website are misleading as they are some severe situations that go past the 6 month cap.

    Service at the smile shop in Aldgate was good after waiting 15 mins past appointment time. However it’s been over a month and have still not received my 3D plan. Have made countless efforts to get in contact with SDC which have been useless or unable to get through by phone, email and live chat. Used the phone service to find out what’s happening with plan and selected the call back option, no one ever called back. Tried again and was cut off before I was able to get any info. Emails have all been ignored and live chat is never available, have tried on at least 5 different occasions at different times. Bad service and now don’t even want the plan if this is how any future issues during treatment will be handled.

    I received my aligners Sept 2021 and it was going well until I went to switch from “#7” to “#8”, and they would not fit. I contacted Smile Direct Club (SDC) 12/7/21 to notify them of the issue and was told I’d receive a response in 72hrs. I never received a reply and had to contact SDC 3 more times, when a representative finally scheduled me for a new scan at the local office in Boca Raton, for 1/12/22. It was also at this time that I told the representative I wanted to switch to nighttime aligners as this option was not provided to me previously; I was told it would be no problem. At my scan on 1/12, I relayed this information to their office and was told they’d make additional note of this for the Dental Team to ensure my request was complete.

    Jan 27, I still had heard nothing regarding my treatment and timeframe for my replacement so I contacted SDC for a 5th time. I received a reply Jan 29 that my plan for my nighttime aligners was approved, pending my acknowledgment. I replied 1/31 to approve the change. Feb 21, I contacted SDC AGAIN via email and Facebook as I had yet to receive any update, I was informed that the order had NOT been placed, but that they were doing so and I could expect 2-3 weeks for production.

    I contacted SDC again 2/22, 2/24, 3/7, 3/9, 3/10, and 3/11 checking the status as I had now been wearing the same loose, yellowing, cracked aligners, to attempt to hold my teeth in place, for 16 weeks. I’ve been required to make my monthly payments for treatment on time, and in full this entire time. I have yet to receive my new aligners and not only have my teeth shifted, but are WORSE than prior to starting SDC. I have gaps which did not previously exists and shifting that I am concerned will cost thousands to correct. In my opinion, not only does SDC owe me a full refund, but also the cost to correct this with an orthodontist. I am concerned, should my new aligners ever arrive, they will not fit as my scan was over 2 months ago and this issue has been ongoing for nearly 5 MONTHS!

My bite is off and so is one side of my mouth. I ordered 100$ Retainers and they don't even fit. I'm going to consult with a lawyer. 2 months later I still haven’t received my second treatment.     SmileDirect was gonna be able to fix my teeth at a much lower cost and it was more convenient. Process-wise, you order the impressions kit and they send it to you. You do the impressions and it’s really simple and they then let you know whether or not they can do the treatment. For some people, it will not work. After that, they send you the aligners and you just follow the instructions. For my process, it was supposed to be seven months. I did a touch-up, so it took about a year because one of my teeth was terribly stubborn. It kept breaking the aligners. They fit right after that. You do have to sleep with them on and it's 22 hours a day. They hurt, particularly, when you first put them on. But I didn't even take pain medicine for anything. It was manageable. I finished the process a few weeks ago and I'm super satisfied. I can smile in pictures now and it doesn't bother me. It doesn't look like I'm missing teeth. I'd recommended SmileDirectClub to everyone.

    I had my first initial scan on January 8th. Apparently they were not sent out to be made until January 18th. I have yet to receive them nor do I know when I will get them. I have had the run around with this company. I was told they were being shipped out in February and now we are in the middle of March and I still cannot get an answer as to where they are. My girlfriend and I both had an appointment for scans the same day and she is already on day 4 of her aligners and I have yet to even receive a call or email about mine. I reached out to live chat because I wanted to understand what’s going on. They ended up mentioning I should be contacted soon because only one arch is able to be done.     The people I work with wear the Invisalign all day and they can't talk properly, and I don't want to do that. I like the idea of nighttime only. I read somewhere that with SmileDirectClub, you do it at night time only. So, I looked into it. There's an office near here where they did the scanning and then I did it for like eight months, and I ordered a retainer. At that time, the main gap next to my two front teeth was still pretty big, and I was unhappy about that. So, they redid it and sent me new aligners, then gave me a new retainer with no extra charge. I was very happy with the customer service they offered and that they stood behind it.

    I told them, "It's okay if it doesn't close all the way, but I want it better than what it is now." It took an additional 12 weeks but I didn't care about the time. I just wanted it done right and it is. So, I was very happy. I was able to get ahold of somebody right away or when I sent emails, they responded right away. It's hard to find that nowadays. When they had to redo it, I went over and they scanned my teeth to send me the replacement aligners. The lady called back and said, "We really didn't get as good of a scan. Could you come back like a day or two later?" I said, "Can I come in right now? I'm pretty close by." They did it right away, and they were very prompt. I'd recommend SmileDirectClub because their customer service is great and the pricing was fair.

    I chose SmileDirect because there seemed to be good reviews and it was convenient as I wouldn't have to go into an office regularly for adjustments. My experience started out good and I paid 100% for the entire treatment including the retainer. This review box doesn't have enough space to give a detailed report on my experience and exhausting amount of times I have either attempted to contact or have contacted the company. According to my timeline, I believe I should have been done w/ my treatment and moved on to a retainer to keep my teeth where they ended up but I have heard NOTHING from SmileDirect in several weeks. My aligners were causing lots of gaps and I had to contact the company several times before their "dentist" agreed I should get an updated impression. It took me 4 times to contact SmileDirect to get that stupid impression kit.

    Then I sent it in and they said they would have the dentist review and I have never heard anything since. Let me be clear, over the course of several months, I don't know when I started, maybe a year ago now....each time I have contacted SmileDirect it has been on the phone, via chat, via email, etc. I try all the methods, not just 1. The poor customer service rec'd is inexcusable and their script they follow about "making you smile" and "how is your day" is infuriating when I am trying to resolve an issue. If I am clearly an unhappy customer and have had previous bad experiences, don't ask me how my day is. It's clearly not going well. A few months back I finally asked about the refund process since I am out the few thousand I paid for upfront and the rep told me it was a long review process with the dentist reviewing who knows what. etc. GREAT.

    Honestly I just want my $$ back to move on. I haven't worn the aligners for about a month because not only was I getting gaps in my teeth on the top, they were also now starting on the bottom. I have emailed and asked for a customer rep to call me but that never happened. I had hoped this would be a positive review as that is how my experience w/ SmileDirect started. But several months later, I am fighting for my refund even though they advertise 100% happiness guarantee or your money back. I will NEVER recommend SmileDirect to anyone.

    The ordering process was easy with simple but well-worded directions. The kit arrived in three days. Follow the directions but you should read them all before starting. The mixing of the impression materials took about 15 minutes which was more than the instructions said. The mix did not harden as fast so the material was a bit goodie in the mouth. It took about 45 minutes start to finish. Only had one question the directions did not cover which was if after doing the impressions should I take the material out of the plastic mouth forms.     The building was easy to find, but the office was not. There should be clear signage outside the little room that serves as the holding area. Both people I dealt with were very nice and professional, but perhaps less casual clothing would be helpful to project a sense of a legitimate, serious business. Everything was explained well and time was taken to answer questions. Although hand sanitizer gel was readily available everywhere, both of the iPads that I used to enter information had obvious smudges and muck, and really should have been wiped off with an alcohol wipe before handing them to customers. The technology used was impressive and the tech handled the procedure well, with lots of explanation and pictures. Overall, a pretty good experience, but maybe a little less casual?     Terrible experience. Completed my treatment plan and ordered a set of retainers 2 months ago. Money taken by SDC. Keep receiving nonsensical emails every other week saying "your retainers have just been ordered and will take 4 - 6 weeks". Retainers still not arrived and teeth now moving back to original position. I cannot talk to anyone on the phone (number doesn't connect), emails are not replied to, and the Chat people just copy and paste the same answer about "...will take 4-6 weeks...". Today, 2 months later, they told me they are now printing new sets of aligners because I am about to start my treatment plan - and they will take 4-6 weeks to arrive. I finished my plan weeks ago! They are completely lost. I simply cannot recommend using this company.

    Do NOT believe the Smile Direct refund policy as stated on their website: "If you decide SmileDirectClub aligners aren't for you within the first 30 days of use, we'll refund your cost 100%. Even after the first 30 days, you can return your unused aligners for a prorated refund." I have been put off for my refund continually since I requested one 6 weeks ago! The 6th aligner was not going to fit; they were way off! A Smile dentist verified that. Also, the aligners made a deep cut into the back of my tongue. I was very worried about that but it did heal in about a week. These aligners are very sharp and you will need to cut and filed them and then you also need a lot of wax to keep them from cutting your lips and tongue!

    I have been told three times now that I'd be contacted within 5-10 business days with directions for returning the unused aligners. When I make contact they say the same thing again about how they will contact me soon! Then they never do. They will not give you a phone number to call the refund department so you are stuck waiting for them to contact you! Pretty slick trick eh? I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but still have not received a resolution. Now Smile wants me to send pictures of my teeth! Beware, if these aligners don't work for you, don't expect them to honor their money-back guarantee! They don't seem to care once they have your money.

    SmileDirect had an offer that didn't require me to go in and get checked out. That was a big appeal for me. I liked the cost as well. There was a promotional thing going on and I went with them. My two bottom teeth were crooked and there was crowding going on. My treatment plan was only five months and I saw results almost immediately. That brought a lot of confidence back and it was such an easy process.

    They have these molds that you press down on your teeth then they harden. You take photos for a doctor. It's a very crucial process because if you don't do it correctly, they have to send back another kit. Luckily for me, everything worked out fine. My new smile is great and I love it. Compared to the other prices and the quality of work, SmileDirectClub is definitely recommended. One of their highlights is there was someone always online 24 hours, 7 days a week.     We decided to go with SmileDirect because it would mean that we didn't need to go to an orthodontist every two months. We had already done that with my son who needed to have regular braces because his mouth needed an extra long time with braces. SmileDirect seemed a lot easier and we liked the price. We initially tried to do the at-home impressions. We took pictures and sent them to the company and they were never good enough to use. A few weeks later, they had a pop-up at a hotel an hour from here in Pennsylvania. We decided to go and they did the thing with the camera. We signed up and it was easy after that.

    My daughter hardly needed braces but she had a little bit of an overbite and a little bit of her teeth were crooked. If she had done it the quickest way, it would have taken four months. She just finished and we're waiting on her retainers to come. There was definitely a difference. Her teeth and her smile look great. If your teenager doesn't need a lot of correction in their teeth or their overbite, SmileDirect is a great option. That's less expensive than going to a traditional orthodontist. They get everything that they need right at the beginning and it saves a lot of money.

They asked me lots of personal questions and they were not good at giving me straightforward answers to my questions. He did not know what the interest rates would be, missed lots of areas on my teeth while scanning, and was forceful about signing papers that I didn’t want to sign. It was an awkward and unpleasant experience.

    I have had a terrible time with SmileDirectClub this far. I live overseas on a US military base. I reached out before I even ordered my impression kit to ensure they send to APO/AE boxes. Once they confirmed they did, I ordered. I had to order over the phone since it was not an option online (every phone call I make to the states cost me money).

    After I ordered my initial impression kit I waited almost a month before reaching out to see where it was. It had gotten lost and I had to wait for a new one to be sent. I spent so much time either on the phone or online with their chat and most of the time it would end with no solution. After I did my impressions and sent them in I didn’t hear back for almost another month. I had to reach out several times, often with no solution. Now I am scared to even order aligners and spend so much money. I feel like they are just going to get lost in transit. I am beyond frustrated with the time wasted. I was so excited to finally fix my teeth, but now I do not know what to do. I would not recommend this product to anyone stationed overseas.

    I did not appreciate the high pressure placed on me by the associate. She demanded that I commit to purchase and pick a payment plan before I had even seen the predicted result! I believe it unreasonable and unprofessional to employ “car salesman“ methods before there is any information about the result Is even available.

    Had no problem with it. Very easy. Procedure went quick and smooth. Would do again. The hardest part probably was having to time yourself with the bottom two times and then top two times. Me having small mouth it got difficult to not gag but I managed. I'm looking forward to the results.

    Hi. Everything was great with the appointment. In the new smile picture my bottom do not appear to have moved at all. Is there not a plan for that with aligners?
