We have absolutely loved the Publix pharmacy on Hwy 96. We switched from Kroger and haven’t regretted it one bit. Not only is the wait time short but the staff is so friendly and helpful. From customer service to medical knowledge to helping me as a mom navigate sicknesses with my son, they are amazing. My dad was a pharmacist so I understand the trials of being behind that counter, but you would never know this pharmacy has any. They are always willing to drop what they’re doing to help and talk with me. Hopefully this review helps give them a fraction of the praise they deserve!

This Publix Pharmacy at Brickell Village is truly outstanding. For the past three months, I've been struggling to get my medications refilled at a nearby Walgreens, which has unfortunately been a very frustrating experience, as well as at multiple CVS locations. About two weeks ago, I transferred my prescriptions to this Publix Pharmacy, and the difference has been remarkable.

The staff has been responsive, easy to work with, communicative, and, most importantly, they refilled my medication exactly on the date they promised they would. That level of reliability means a great deal. Truly wonderful customer service and a team that clearly cares about helping their patients. I highly recommend this pharmacy.

Apparently my particular Publix Pharmacy is right in line with the ridiculously "G Jenkins. Standard on Business Operations" as reflected in these reviews. I've shopped Marathon (only store for 50+ miles here in the Florida Keys) store for 9 years and the pharmacy is atrocious! Horrible personalities, especially since Nick RPh finally left. He was the epitome of the family pharmacist and truly cared about patient care! The "leftovers" and apparently "stand-in techs and pharmacists", and I used those titles loosely, are obviously scraped from the bottom of the barrel. Aside from the monthly power trip with sched IV controlled meds I've been on over 10 years, their inability to count 30 days refusing refills. Regardless of what day you submit via the app, it's too soon. Ultimately they'll fill on day 28, 29, 30 but mostly day 31 giving me 1 day to pick up.

Every single time I get them all on the same day to assist with my TBI and memory issues in filling my medicine boxes for the month they prefer to play games. The app will show date filled (bottle label has a different, earlier date) and purchase date on the statement is different also. WTH!?? Then my Dr (remember these medical professionals? They're the ones in charge of our health care, prescribes a common) as stated by the newest behaving as a 15yr old RPh however I'm told it'll be ready the following day.... 8days later, I have cognitive issues with memory as a TBI survivor, I remember I still haven't heard from them. I call, the Amazon tech is a huge ** who tells me that they don't have it.

Now my Physician has scheduled a follow-up appointment to specifically do blood work to ensure proper levels of this HRT medication which is a physiological necessity. So now that will change because they've refused to contact the prescribing physician or the patient and the 2 week levels will not without the drugs. I as if I should go to another pharmacy and the Resident Amazon Grump/Tech says I should "go to Walgreens then". I demanded the RPh "Scott" and he literally states they had none. Mind you 8 days post E-Scribe- no Dr contact either. Wtf??? He proceeds to say that he did contact Walgreens that they had plenty. As a CPhT myself having spent time in retail, I do know that it can be borrowed from other pharmacies. The least of all that can be done is to contact the prescribing physician at the minimum.

I don't even understand how this happens at publix. George Jenkins would be rolling like a rotisserie in his grave knowing that Publix of marathon operates their store and pharmacy in this manner! Jacksonville certainly had much better Publix stores in my experience as a former Publix employee this is pathetic! Inexcusable! Anything that relates to health, patient or care should be alleviated from any documented products/signage throughout their pharmacy. I did speak with Lily who is the pharmacy supervisor in South Florida. Apparently her conversation with the store only cause them to reach out beyond this incident and be rude with my physician's office as well as myself after my prescriptions had been moved to a competitor.

Talk about God complex! Will never call a pharmacist "doc" again! Going up and shopping at Publix since 1980 in Jacksonville Beach Florida I always held my pharmacist in great regard as if they were like the old fashioned pharmacist like silver to drugs and Jax Beach no more the days of pharmacist who care and technicians who have class are over. Wish me luck with my new pharmacy! No patient deserves to be treated the way Publix obviously and consistently allows, condones and supports!

Pinellas Crossing Publix pharmacy keeps changing my pain meds refill date. I called 6/8/26 to ask when I can pick up my script and the tech told me tomorrow, which is today, 6/9/26. That is a 30 day turn around. When I talked to the pharmacist on duty he told me the date to pick up my prescription is 6/11/26 which is 32 days out. My prescription is for every thirty days. I've placed a call to Publix corporate to enter a complaint. I can see on these reviews that people with pain meds are having the same issue. THIS HAS TO STOP!

So I asked when they open the boxes could they make it a priority and pretty strong faced said everyone is a priority at this point. I fully agreed. So my problem is if your that far behind on my meds which is only for pain, then how about the people that heart or lung meds. These people are not customers, they're patients. You can do better. I have to think about that this pharmacy is overextended and can't keep up with demand. It used to provide great, prompt service. This past week, end of February, they lost or didn't record a phone-in prescription from my dentist. Then, when I hand-carried a paper prescription, they weren't able to fill it in the time allotment they gave me of 45 minutes. I didn't get a text as I sent as assured I would get so I went in person to check 2 hours later. The clerk was polite and cheerful but it took her some time to find my script in a pile on the counter. She said it had been a "madhouse". The delay caused a delay to necessary dental work. I'm going to have to find another pharmacy even though it's near my home.

I normally don’t write reviews, but this situation truly needs attention. Publix really needs to tighten up their pharmacy process. First, I had a prescription that required an authorization form from my doctor. Publix told me they sent the form but never received it back. When I contacted my doctor’s office, they said they never received anything. They then resent the authorization and confirmed it was sent back to Publix. Instead of proactively revisiting my case, Publix waited until I called them — and I had already called several times checking on the status. Once everything was finally cleared on a Thursday, I was told the medication would be ordered and ready the next day (Friday). When I went Friday, I was told it still had to be ordered and would arrive Monday. Monday came — no medication. Then I was told Tuesday after 3 PM. Tuesday came — still nothing. Then Friday. Friday came — still not there. Now I’m being told Tuesday again.

This is a very important medication that I take twice a day to help me breathe. I have now been without it for 15 days and am having to give myself breathing treatments three or more times a day just to avoid serious breathing problems. This is not a minor inconvenience — This is a serious health issue. Pharmacies handle medications that people depend on to live, and delays like this are unacceptable. Publix needs to take situations like this more seriously and improve communication and follow-through. Very disappointing experience.

You'll just have to wait until they get it. It's now been a week. They close their security shade before closing time. Not even customer service can get them to answer. Location :155 Johnny Mercer Blvd, Savannah, GA 31410·4.8 mi. I have been a long-time Publix Pharmacy customer, but I recently experienced extremely unprofessional conduct at the Wilmington Island, Savannah, GA location. In July 2025, pharmacist Karissa Mizner Atkins (GA License RPH027446, NPI 1659708048) spoke to me on the phone about my prescription. Instead of providing assistance, she made inappropriate comments, saying I was ordering medication “like it’s going out of style,” threatened to report me, and then hung up on me. This was not only unprofessional but also outside her role, as my prescribing physician had already determined and monitored my treatment plan.

On October 20, 2025, when I returned to the pharmacy, she refused to fill my prescriptions, stating, “I thought you said you weren’t coming back. What are you doing here?” She then removed my prescriptions from the system and said she would only transfer them elsewhere. This was retaliation for my prior complaint, not a clinical or legal reason. Other Publix pharmacists at the same location have filled my prescriptions without issue. As a patient, being treated this way is unacceptable. Pharmacists should provide safe and professional service, not personal hostility. I am deeply disappointed in how this situation was handled and hope Publix Corporate takes complaints like this seriously.

Unfortunately, my experience at this Publix Pharmacy has been consistently unpleasant due to the pretentious and dismissive attitudes of Jen and Stephanie. Picking up my prescriptions should be a simple, respectful process, but instead it feels stressful and unwelcoming every time I have to deal with them. Most recently, Jen complained that she had called me several times regarding a prescription. When I explained that I work in sales and get 50+ calls a day from unknown numbers, I also apologized for missing hers. In my field, it’s not uncommon to miss calls, but instead of handling it with understanding, she continued with the same pretentious attitude, even telling me this was the “fourth time this has happened.” I honestly don’t even know why an online pharmacy sent my prescriptions here in the first place, but I would have expected a little more professionalism and care in the situation instead of rudeness.

I rely on my prescriptions daily, and it’s disheartening when what should be a routine visit turns into an uncomfortable experience. A pharmacy is supposed to be a place of care and support, not somewhere you dread going. I hope management addresses this so customers can receive the respect and service Publix is known for.

Oh, perhaps I get it… Because so many opioid abusers in this country today, when a surgeon writes a legitimate prescription for their patient who is only 8 days post operative care after a major surgery and truly needs these medications refilled the pharmacist now has the authority to say you can’t get this filled before tomorrow? I answer the phone and told her normally I could help you but he’s changing some medication and he’s probably still at the doctor’s appointment as we speak. She went on to tell me (rudely) she just needed his number to talk to him. I told her she would need to wait until he calls her back because he’s on his work phone not his personal phone. She goes on to yell at me and accuses me of not knowing my husband‘s telephone number.

After yelling at me, she hangs the phone up on me. I immediately felt I was dealing with someone having a mental health crisis. This employee, Asia, should not be contacting or speaking with customers in her current state of mind. Fortunately, I believe this is an isolated event because I have received exceptional service at the Publix, Planters Station Godwin Boulevard Suffolk. Miss Asia could definitely benefit from an employee assistance program intervention and regular therapy sessions with a mental health professional.
