I DO NOT recommend Publix Pharmacy due to their incompetency. You can schedule pick up of your meds and never on time usually a day or even two days after they are due for refills and pick up day then they MIGHT be ready. I have done without my heart meds for several days waiting for them to get around to fill them..

My son who has no insurance and I took the prescription to the Publix pharmacy and I asked to the person at the Rx section how much I will pay without insurance and she will be $7.00 and I showed discount card that came up to $18.00. She didn't have the opportunity to decline the discount card because it was cheaper the Publix price. Please somebody help me! Thank you.

PHARMACY. Disappointing experience at this pharmacy. Today, I had a frustrating experience at the pharmacy. I urgently needed five medications, but none were provided. The female pharmacist (the first time I saw her there) was unhelpful, and despite my pressing need, the service was slow and disorganized. This lack of efficiency is unacceptable, especially for those who rely on timely access to their prescriptions. Always the service leaves much to be desired, especially for elderly customers. Only PAUL solves the situations with the insurance, prescriptions, providers and he has the refills ready for pick up. I think he would have more efficient people working with him.

I only fill my emergency rx here (rest go to 90 day mail order) when I am sick. I have at least 5 instances (out of 6 emergencies) where they have not filled (ie not received the ez…supposedly) when I confirmed w the dr the rx was sent. To top it off, they are rude, and say I have to call my dr ans/or insurance again, which sometimes I have taken up to 2 hrs a so before I get there because I know that is a real time sap for them.

I will tell you, I work on the other end on the daily, sending rx’s, getting authorizations, and no pharmacy has this many problems or the attitude. I used to go to a grocery store rx across the street which was excellent but they became out of network. Would avoid these people if I had a choice. They lose prescriptions, can come up w many reasons in a sitting why they can’t fill one, a med, god forbid is a scheduled med and you must be a drug dealer, out of stock will key meds, social fest behind the counter, out of stock meds they were supposed to call you when they got it… In fact, I’m still waiting to hear a year later. Any bets I’ll hear about I magically coming in stock ✋? No?! Terrible. Imagine what would happen to me if I treated patients that way?

If I could give pharmacy a zero, I would! Store gets 1 star for allowing this to happen over and over! I had to tell my private info to 2 store managers so they were aware of the manipulation taking place behind the pharmacist's computer. Humiliating! Then finding out the pharmacist told the staff to tell me "it's not available yet"....every time I called. Especially after getting to know those techs over the last 10 years. I don't trust them now. So sad. They play God with your medications. Will argue with you about your address, send you off with someone else's prescription, and not report themselves.

The Pharm, for some reason, the females in charge are Dr. wanna be's. Instead of calling the patient to get info, they'd rather call your Dr, blow all hipaa laws with Dr's secretary. It's pretty shocking. If they don't think you need it. They will just 'forget' OOPS to press order when the script is faxed to them. AND I personally go in the day of the fax and verify everything had been done and my medications would be there. Then when they say oops we don't have it, and you know you'll have to go straight to the ER. They may find the med and make you drive an hour to another pharmacy that has your medications in stock.. wow, a person can only take so much humiliation, abuse, and be gained upon by the fem pharmacy staff. Apologies from the store managers, not the pharm staff. So, if you are recovering from a crushed spine and have cancer, watch out! Rethink your choice of pharmacy! Time to shop somewhere else, move my scripts, and get all our employees to do the same! The days of Matt, are gone. Kindness and respect!

Over the last 5 years, we have swapped over from CVS to Publix Pharmacy in Rainbow City AL. To say we have been more than pleased with the service we have received would be an understatement. However, it seems within the last few months their customer service hasn't been at the top of their list. This particular Publix will very seldomly answer the phone so if you have a question you literally have to drive down there. Management needs to address this issue because some people that have questions or concerns simply cannot drive to the pharmacy every time they need to speak with someone.

I cannot believe how rude and dismissive the pharmacy members have been at Publix store number 536 have become. I went to pick up medication Monday that I had called and verified was available and was told they didn’t see anything for me. Only after I argued and explained that I had called earlier in the week did they finally “find” my scripts in their system. At this point I was told they did not have enough of one of them to fill. I asked when they would be in stock and was told Wednesday. So I went home without pain medication for two days. Today I returned only to find out that the medication is on back order and they didn’t bother to check that before. So I waited 2 days without meds for nothing.

Shayla ** the manager was and is extremely rude saying things like “that’s all I need from you” instead of “we will have that ready shortly” and obviously didn’t care enough to ensure my meds would arrive when she said they did. She simply didn’t want to be bothered on a Monday morning. This pharmacy has been rude to me and my wife many times now, theyve “lost” our scripts before, cancelled them without our permission, etc. I will be switching to any other pharmacy I can find over being treated like a second class citizen just because someone is in a poor mood.

Fortunately I use instacart..but once you pay for the meds in order to get them that day you have to order $35 plus a tip.. Consistently rude and no kindness or empathy for patients at all. I have let it slide in the past because it hasn't been urgent. Although I will say it's been frustrating at these times. Today is just beyond my ability to understand. I am in a lot of pain, and this simple,non-narcotic medication was urgently needed for GERD, a prescription antacid. But instead it was held up at the pharmacy without a thought of reaching out to me. There was no apology by the pharmacist, no explanation as to why he couldn't have called me to ask if I would be paying cash, nothing. And all this upset and physical pain over a $14 dollar medication could have easily been avoided with simply humanity and caring towards another person.

I switched to Publix Pharmacy because it was closer. Big Mistake. Since I’ve been there they have given me test strips that were not right for my meter, so I refused them and called my doc. 2 weeks later when I picked up all my refills, they were in a large bag stapled with the paperwork. There they were again at the bottom of the bag even after I told them they were wrong the last visit! So I brought them back, still sealed but they wouldn’t take them back. My doc finally ordered the right ones but I had to pay out of pocket because they already sent the incorrect ones through insurance. No apology, nothing.

Today I have a new doctor and she refilled my scripts and observed a new glucose meter…2 weeks later, on a Sunday afternoon I get a call saying that Medicare won’t cover the new meter…They said they called the doctor and they never responded (same as they said about my last Dr office)…It turns out they’re lying…They may have called once but no one in the Dr.s office has a record of any call….Publix is dropping the ball again. Start new diabetes meds is had to regulate if they are gonna let the test equipment lay undelivered and unre-ported for 2 weeks. This is healthcare, not auto parts. Switching most all of my Meds to Cost Plus pharmacy…It’s the cheapest for generic drugs online…Cheaper than my copays. The remaining prescriptions that are not available at cost plus will be filled by someone else besides Publix going forward…Terrible business

Medicare patient. Type 1 diabetic. I receive my medications through Cigna but they don’t cover test strips. I mistakenly thought I had to leave Kroger and chose Publix and have not had an stress-free experience since. The first problem was the name on the Medicare card didn’t match the prescription. That is no problem, but I didn’t receive any notice via text or phone so I showed up to pickup my prescription only to be informed of the discrepancy. Easily corrected and filled. A phone call/text would have resolved the issue with no holdup.

Next time, I had changed doctors and the prescription wasn’t clear so we had to wait for the doctor to respond. That took days in which the pharmacy just couldn’t get a response from the doctor. This doctor is not just a well respected office, but a number of my neighbors and friends go there and they assured me that the office is quick to resolve issues. Apparently that is not with Publix however. Days later I finally got the prescription. Then I needed the prescription filled and suddenly, Medicare Part B could not be reached. That went on for over a week. I ended up having to come “out of pocket” because, even though I had plenty of test strips and a fully operational prescription on record when the refill was requested, by the time I heard all the excuses, I was out. Finally I called and listened to the usual excuses but, miraculously, Medicare gave the go-ahead. Interestingly, other people who went through Medicare Part B were not having any problems with their prescriptions, even for test strips.

Well, today I got a refill again, same prescription, same Medicare card that they have on file, but rather than use the Medicare card they put it on the Publix card “to save me money.” That ended up costing me $23.00. When I got home and looked at the insurer, I realized Medicare wasn’t used and that’s when I realized they put it on THEIR card. I called and after being on hold for awhile they said I had to come back and they would refund the amount. It will be interesting to see what hoops I will have jump through to actually get that refund, but I will be able to know that it is the last time I will have to do it. I called my doctor and asked them to send my prescription back to Kroger. I never had a problem with them and I know their computers can communicate with the Medicare computers. AND their personnel know how to dial phones and send text messages. I don’t know what the problem is with Publix, but I know it will no longer be MY problem.

Total of 8 days. This is a legit refill. Not asking for anything I’m not entitled to yet I’m treated like I’m not worth their time after ten years of having my meds filled here. No communication. Not one person called to say I’d have to wait a week. Zero customer care. I’m switching all my scripts out of Publix.

Publix is constantly changing their pharmacy techs. New techs don’t know the patients and vice versa making it all around untrusting of each other. Have to start all over getting used to another tech. Then you do and then they are moved. This is why everyone should go to a mom and pop pharmacy. A private pharmacy where they know you and care about you. Publix is owned by the employees so who you gonna complain to? They don’t care either. They stick up for each other.

I actually really like my local Publix Pharmacy. They have always been friendly and will assist you with any questions you may have. When I first started using Publix I had transportation so going to pickup my prescriptions wasn’t really that big of a deal. I live about 10 minutes from the store. I wished then that they had a pharmacy drive thru but their service was still good enough that I dealt with that minor inconvenience.

Eventually my only way of getting there was with Uber or Lyft and would end up costing me anywhere from $30-$45 round trip. It was just too expensive so I changed Pharmacies but have not been satisfied with my new one. I realized that they offered prescription deliveriess (they will not deliver certain prescriptions) and decided to do a test run with one of my prescriptions. They charged $5 through Script Drop so I was happy. Now they have changed from Script Drop to Instacart to deliver prescriptions. Instacart charges $11 for delivery. Keep in mind I live exactly 4 miles from the store. It’s cheaper than Uber or Lyft but on a limited income I can’t afford to stick with them again. It’s a shame.

When I said that should not matter, it’s a change of the prescriptions and amount for adhd, the pharmacist said he decided that he will not fill because it is too early per him and his research of payment even though insurance approves it for the 29th, and the doctor approved and sent a change. The pharmacist said he will not issue it until the 31st.

This is illegal as he is attempting to practice medicine by not issuing a change that my doctor issued and doesn’t and further refused even when insurance approved the change and coverage. It is illegal for him to do this. He is not a doctor. He even went to say ‘you have plenty to get you by’ which is disturbing and illegal. That's what you get when you get a bunch of people with barely a high school degree who couldn't get into medical school a little power to dispense medicated soaps in a grocery store. Dummies.

I recently obtained a new Pharmacy Plan since I am on Medicare. I obtained the new plan and to maximize my cost savings I needed to use Walmart or Publix. Given that, I chose Publix I had my prescriptions moved to Publix. Today I went to the Publix Pharmacy in Canton Ga. on Riverstone Pkwy and have never been treated so rudely. When I arrived I went to the drop off Pharmacy window and a rep named Tracey was there. I said "Hello I am new here and need some help". The rep's words were "What do you need". I said, "I have some prescriptions that are narcotics and need to see if you have them". Response was "No we do not have them and it will take at least a week." I said, "Oh I see."

Then I asked, "What about in the future? These are maintenance drugs to me and I need to know if you can or will have them next month when I need a refill." The answer was, "NO we cannot guarantee that. You have to bring in a physical prescription to get this." She said it is a legal thing. Well that is a crap answer since the Walmart Pharmacist used to always order my ** every month for me. I never had to wait in over 3 years. Walgreens has always had my 15mg ** every month for the last 2 years. No it is not a Legal thing. It is a service provided to individual consumers who need these medications to live somewhat of a normal life.

I then got my insurance card, left and went back to Walgreens, who had my prescriptions in stock and transferred all of prescriptions back to Walgreens. They will cost more but I know they will make an effort to stock my medication and if they do not have it then get it to me in 3 to 4 days worse case. That is why they are in business to provide medicine to people in pain and are empathetic to the consumer. In a nutshell if you need any narcotic medication on a recurring basis, Publix does not care and are rude about it.

Asked them if the notify when the complete order is filled. Was told, "No, we notify on each item." That's just not right, should wait until all orders are filled. They also seem short of staff. It can take 20 min plus to pick up your order. It's also obvious they keep small inventory and like to work out of the warehouse.

A prescription was mistakenly called in to the pharmacy at Moultrie Square (St Augustine) and had to be redirected to the TRICARE Pharmacy System (Express Scripts) to be filled. The pharmacy was asked to fax the prescription to TRICARE to which they refused saying it was not protocol. They said the only way the prescription could be redirected was that either the Dr would have to resubmit the prescription to TRICARE or TRICARE would have to call the pharmacy and request they fax the prescription.

I went to the Drs office three times and requested they fax the prescription to TRICARE. All three times they faxed the prescription back to the Publix Pharmacy. I then called the TRICARE office and asked them to request a faxed copy of the prescription. I spoke to a pharmacist at the TRICARE office and was told that they could not request faxed copies of prescriptions from local pharmacies. Bottom line: Eye Center of St Augustine, either through incompetence or stupidity, repeatedly sent the prescription to the wrong pharmacy. The TRICARE pharmacy system (Express Scripts) refused to get involved siting their procedures and, the Publix Pharmacy at Moultrie Square refused to provide any customer support siting internal protocol procedures.

The real problem is that the TRICARE pharmacy system has a one fill policy meaning they will provide discounts for prescriptions on a one-time basis. Any prescription requiring refills must be filled by them. The cost of my prescription to be filled by the Publix Pharmacy was quoted at $1,900.34. The discount offered by TRICARE was an out-of-pocket cost of $34.00. Since the Publix Pharmacy and the Eye Center of St Augustine refused to redirect the prescription to TRICARE, I’m required to pay the undiscounted amount of $1,900.14. How’s that for Publix Pharmacy customer service?

To my utterly surprise I was told that Publix Pharmacy does not honor this discount card. I asked the pharmacist to call the pharmacy help desk published on the WellRx discount card. She refused and came back with the same answer: "Publix does nor work with this discount company." Consequently, I was forced to pay a higher price in order to get my medication. I followed up with ScriptSave WellRx and was told that Publix is in their network since more than one year and that my discount should have been applied. Publix needs to honor their commitment. I am shocked, disgusted and completely outraged to have been treated with such disrespect, being accused of being a junkie all based on “DISTANCE” issue being the ONLY reason! This is how Publix treats US military veterans who return home changed through no fault of their own! Pathetic, unprofessional and wreaks of discrimination based on the RX Assistant Manager's informed knowledge of Doctor and patient’s geographical separation of 54 miles! According to him, if you move to another county which borders the same county you moved to you must find a new doctor! Otherwise, you chance being told Publix as a whole will not fill your prescriptions any longer; even though they've been filling since 2019.

This will give all of you a good laugh, I called 42 separate PUBLIX PHARMACIES and asked them if they'd fill my valid CIV prescription and ALL 42 SAID YES!!! From the east coast of Florida, to the west coast, panhandle and so on. I specifically asked them, "would you deny filling a prescription just because the prescribing doctor is an hour away"? Answers varied, but ALL SAID THEY WOULD FILL A VALID CIV PRESCRIPTION AFTER CHECKING THE FLORIDA PDMP! I thanked them all for their courtesy and customer service. In addition, I walked into another Publix a few miles away and turned in the scripts. I asked if this would be an issue and they said "NO". I made sure by asking the on duty pharmacist and he advised the same.

The pharmacist was curious regarding why I would ask him such a question and I told him what the APM at 1270 told me. He checked the computer, verified everything is legal and valid and apologized for what myself and my wife had to go through just to refill the same medications that I've been on for 5 years! I told him we had some shopping to conduct and asked if they'd be ready soon. He said yes sir give me 15 minutes or so. 15 minutes later my wife and 2 kids walked out with my medication and 320 dollars worth of groceries. I'll tell you what, I am sure the store manager at 1270 will not be happy losing our business from now on. We spend 1200-1900 a month at Publix. All of this over this pharmacist and his ridiculous refusal even though he's the one who filled them last time.

Although, my blood pressure and another medication was ready to pick up at 1270 from the same doctor! I guess it wasn't too far to fill those! And yes, I understand pharmacists and doctors must be on the lookout for drug diversion, but refusing to refill because the doctor's address is over an hour away is one of the most ridiculous excuses I've ever heard, especially coming from an educated man! There has not ever been DR shopping, different pharmacies, different doctors, forged or altered scripts, attempting to fill early and so on and so forth! I was flat out told it was due to "distance" and that's it! There was absolutely no validity or excuse for his actions and inactions!

Last time I checked, we live in the USA and are free to choose who we seek healthcare from! ANYONE would agree, when you find a GOOD doctor one will continue seeing the same doctor as long as it's feasible. As a free citizen of the GREAT USA, I exercise my right to see the same doctor who is an hour away! After all, it's more of a hassle for me and no one else. Finding a good doctor is like finding the perfect woman or soul mate, once you click with someone in various relationships, you tend to hang on to it! To the SM and ASM at 1270 I apologize for having to deal with nonsense like this and I never thought I'd have to go through something this ridiculous at Publix! As for the PM at 1270, I apologize to you as well and am sorry for piling this on your already stressful workload!

All in all, isn't there enough nonsense going on in the world today?! Why would anyone purposely create more drama for no valid reason whatsoever?! As for the APM, you sir have much to be desired when it comes to customer service! Also, the attitude problem you have doesn't benefit you, customers or Publix in any way! I hope you learned something regarding this issue and will not make the same mistakes in the future. You already have a tough job, there is no reason to make it even more difficult.

Is it Publix policy for the store manager to call the Police because the pharmacy manager would not answer a question? I have been a Publix customer for the past 29 years. I am a 64 year old disabled man. I have been in constant back pain. I have had back surgery but still have 6 damaged discs. I have been in constant pain for the past 17 years. I use a cane to walk usually but when I can hold onto a shopping cart I can get around easier. I have to wear special sneakers to reduce the pain I get with each step. I have 2 prescriptions for **. One is IR and one is ER. Every month when I go to pick them up they only fill one of them. I guess they think one is a duplicate. I have to call every month and ask them to fill the one they forgot. Over the course of time the 2 prescriptions that were filled together now are filled about 8 days apart.

I called on the 19th of June to find out when I could pick up my prescription. They told me it would be done on the 26th. I called on the 26th and was told I could pick it up on the 28th. I called on the 28th and was told I had no prescriptions to pick up. I asked her to look again and she saw that I did have one that they forgot to fill. I was told to come in in 2 hours.

I went to Publix did some shopping. I went to get some Publix decaffeinated cola. There was none in the isle. I went to the store manager and told her that. She told me it was because of Corona virus. I can understand this but when I asked about other items that the store stopped carrying she said Corona was the cause for everything, even the items that the store stopped carrying years ago. She never offered to look in the back so see if there might any there. Another manager did this the last I was there and found a case of cola, in which I bought the entire case.

I went to the pharmacy to pick up my **. A worker got it. I paid for it and was ready to leave. The pharmacy manager was at the counter and asked her, why do I have to call every month to get my RX filled. She printed 2 copies of the RX and said she could not fill it before the date my doctor said. The paper said not to fill it until the 25th. But it wasn't filled until the 28th and only because I had called. I guess she thought I was concerned about having to pick them up at 2 different dates. Her idea was to delay filling the early prescription 2 days every month until they were both on the same day. So I would be without my pain meds for 2 days each month for the 3 or 4 months.

She said I rolled my eyes when I heard of her idea. She asked me what I wanted her to do. I said "all I wanted was them to fill my prescriptions when they come in". Upon hearing that then she exploded, She grabbed the papers on the counter and said she was done talking to me and if I didn't leave she was calling security. Within 5 seconds she was on the phone calling security. I couldn't believe what was happening. All over asking a question? Is it too much to ask to have my prescriptions filled?

I was surrounded by big guys and the store manager started yelling at me to leave the store. Instead of finding out what was going on she escalated it further by calling the Police. I said I was leaving and turned to pick up my Paid prescriptions. She said I could not take my RX with me. I grabbed them and left the store before the police arrived.

Someone needs to look at the store video and you will see what happened. There was a employee standing at the pharmacy register and she saw everything. I understand a customer says I was rude. She was not there when the pharmacy manager called security or the reason she called, as there was none. I'm sure this customer would been as upset as I was if the was threatened to be arrested for asking a question. There was no need for this extreme action. I shouldn't be afraid of being arrested for shopping at Publix.

I'm a veteran that served during the war and have been dx with PTSD and that now does work for the Government requiring me to travel out of state at times. The same Brandon that Shannon complained about on 6/19/19 has on multiple occasions looked down on me and treated me with some level of contempt because of the medicine I am prescribed. Because of my travel, there are times when I am not in town for a refill. It's part of my job.

But last month before Thanksgiving, I requested an early refill for travel and even saw my doctor on the same day who wrote on the prescription directing the pharmacist to fill the script early because of my work travel. But when I went to drop it off, Brandon refused to refill it because I requested an early refill for another trip approx 90 days prior and because I pick up my prescription usually on the 28th day per their policy on a 30 day prescription of this type. Well he refused to fill and only told me he's "not comfortable" because of my other refills. I'm in close contact with my doctor who understands my situation. But instead of Brandon asking questions to find out more about me, i can only guess that he assumed I'm requesting it early to do something nefarious like diverting my medicine or misusing it in some way.

I was embarrassed, ashamed and just left the store only to get it filled at Walgreens 30 minutes later. I will NEVER use a Publix pharmacy again and while I don't enjoy the non personal attention of another major chain pharmacy, at least they had the decency to understand my situation instead of just treating me like I was doing something wrong. I understand that a pharmacist has to protect their license and store but I should not and will not be treated as "less than" because of my medical status and the medicine my doctor prescribes. This is my local store so I see him working there regularly and am appalled that Publix would retain someone who has a record of treating patients like they are nobodies.

This is exactly the same complaint that Shannon made about him earlier this year so it would suggest that Publix has a problem pharmacist that they continue to employ. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs unless you enjoy being treated like you're a criminal or addict. I am also writing a letter to the FL pharmacy board because no one, especially our veterans, should be treated this way.

Finally I had to call them and tell them I was at the drive thru, I was told that my car didnt hit the ringer for some reason but I was there 30 minutes prior and had no issues I also hit the call button outside at least 10 times. Instead of being told sorry I was given a list of reasons as to why I had to wait so long. I assume the pharmacist walked over to assist and consistently roller her eyes at me, very rude and unprofessional.

This time they told me they had a new policy and I had to fill out 3 different sheets of paper and sign each one.

One of the forms wanted my name, address, birth date and insurance card information. I told the clerk sign my insurance info was already in their computer. I did not fill that part out. She went and talked to the pharmacist who said I had to put my Social Security number on the form and I said I did not want to give them my SSN and he said that he would refuse to give me my prescription. He was really rude about this and kept on refusing so I left. I posted this as a question on the Publix Facebook page about why this was necessary and so far they have declined to answer my question. I transferred this prescription to Walgreens and had no issues in getting it. I think publix needs to explain why they need a SSN. Medicare cards no longer use SSN as an ID.. they use a medicare ID number now.

The pharmacists themselves have been very pleasant, but they are not the ones we often have to deal with; the last straw is that twice in the last WEEK I have had to leave a phone message for the pharmacist to PLEASE CALL ME BACK as I have a question about both mg strength/availability and size of tablet for a patient.

After carefully spelling my name and SLOWLY repeating that and my phone number, I have never rec'd a callback, and I am in their system as both a patient and as a prescriber. The patient went a day without anti-seizure medication as I scrambled to find another pharmacy to fill this as a new script. This is unacceptable and I am DONE with trying to work with the staff there. Again, the pharmacists seem very nice and helpful but not most of the associates and the VM is quite unreliable.

I have been a customer at the Publix Pharmacy for the last 6? Years since Publix required us to use their Pharmacy if you were an associate. My husband had 30 years with Publix and he just retired. I'm on disability and am on PM which requires pain control meds as well as the other meds I get filled every month. I've always loved my pharmacist and excellent pharmacy text. I had good relationship which we all treated each other with respect. Recently the Pharmacist have changed. My first PM Rxs were filled except for one that wasn't covered. They gave me my Rx back and I was told to check with Doctor for a new Rx that was covered. I had to go the next day to my physician's office and they changed it to a Rx they knew was covered. I returned to Publix Pharmacy but the pharmacist and tech that had told me what to do were not there.

The new Female Pharmacist took one look at Rx and said we don't carry this. I ask, "Can you order it." She said, "No but you can check back Tues since that's when the truck ran." Tell me if I'm wrong. If you don't carry it why would it possibly be on Tuesday truck. That's when I knew she wasn't telling me the truth and that probably wouldn't be there Tues. She actually sent me to a small pharmacy across the street which they would have ordered if I stay on it so they don't get stuck with it. Ok no problem. I have found a pharmacy that not only filled my Rx and was completely nice and nonjudgmental. I will be transferring all my Rxs and my husband's to a pharmacy and pharmacist that doesn't look directly in my eyes and lie.

I realize all the new rules make it more of a headache, but I was told by a Publix associate and my Doctor that it shouldn't affect Patients with Chronic conditions. It really made it easier to get Rxs and groceries at the same time. I refuse to be lied to when especially I did exactly what I was told to do by your pharmacist and the next day being refused to fill a new Rx that was covered by my insurance. I feel having someone that's already hurting being told to run back and forth to a doctor's office to get Rx changed so I wouldn't have a problem again to then be totally refused with no explanation and directly lied to. Publix customer service is usually better than that.

For years the Publix pharmacy was consumer friendly, putting patients first. Last year they started using McKesson for their generics and I believe they have recently changed to another company. They will no longer get generics that you trust and know work, they change month to month. This month I’m really having problems with a generic. It took me several days to figure out what is going on but due to past experiences I know the signs. The drug is not working or is a lower dose of active product in a medicine that is very sensitive to very small changes in active ingredient. I am very disappointed but don’t know where to go. I certainly don’t trust CVS or Walgreens. Beware of the generic meds that are being forced on you. Last month the manufacturer was Apotek.

This month it is Northstar. I am going to ask my doctor to write my prescriptions (that are sensitive) for certain generic or no generic. I don’t know what else to do. I’ll be pharmacy shopping in the next few weeks. I know it isn’t the pharmacist’s fault but at the same time Publix is not the same “customer first” supermarket that it was 10 years ago... It has slowly gone downhill. The pharmacy however, has no problem filling any prescription three days early as long as my insurance and doctor are OK with it, they are... unlike CVS. We asked if they could fill it while we grocery shopped and they said yes but that there were quite a few ahead of us. There wasn't anyone in line, no one waiting in the chairs and the store wasn't very busy. We got our groceries and returned to the pharmacy and was told "They're working on it". We asked how long would it take and was told 20 minutes or more. We told them we would just come back later... Returned to Publix around 8 pm and was told that it had not been filled because they didn't even have the medication. So when they told me 7 hours earlier they were "working on it" they lied.

I was told the medicine would be there the next day (Friday). I called the next day to make sure it was there and ready before driving back to Publix for the 3rd time. When I asked if it was ready the pharmacy associate said "It's in the computer to be filled Monday". I told her it was called in Wednesday morning and I had been given the run-around then told it would be there Friday so how could it possibly be in the computer for Monday? She said, "I've got it, you can come pick it up. We'll start working on it now!"

This is the 2nd time this has happened. I called in a refill a few weeks ago and talked to an associate and told them I'd like to pick it up that afternoon (on a Thursday). She said "We're working on it now" but when I got there 3 hours later and after standing in line for 20 minutes I was told it wasn't ready. They said it was in the computer to be filled on Saturday! I told her I just talked to someone 3 hours earlier who said "we're working on it" and that it would be ready by the time I got there. I work 2 jobs and don't have time for such nonsense so I transferred our prescriptions to another pharmacy. If you want to go to the Publix pharmacy on Clemson Blvd you better ask your doctor to prescribe some nerve pills because you're going to need them. As a former insurance agent, Publix pharmacy is more HIPAA compliant than other pharmacies. I love my pharmacy because they are always on top of my allergies and helpful. I have tried a number of well-known pharmacies and would not return to them. I trust my pharmacist over my physician for pharmaceutical knowledge. Love them.

Publix is friendly and well-stocked with a variety of items. They also have very good customer service. I have shopped at other local food stores and although Harris Teeter might be bigger and have a better variety of certain foods, their prices are way too high, except when there is a particular item on sale. For example, a bag of cat food is $1-2 more there than at Publix and that is just one item. So if you multiply increased prices by several items, why would anyone knowingly shop there unless there was no alternative?

Rude treatment at Store 1391 (Pell City, AL). After having been told 4 separate times that my medication would be ready for pickup, I was told on my second trip to the Publix pharmacy that the order of my medication had not gone through and they didn't know where the medication was. Having been given the runaround 4 times, and never having received communication that the order had not processed, I was upset. I had already missed two doses of the medication due to the store's negligence. When I expressed my frustration (albeit quite demonstrably), the pharmacy tech told me, "Don't get huffy with me!" I was awestruck. Without asking me how she could help, without asking me the details of my complaint, that was her first response.

I have always held Publix up to a higher degree of customer service standards than other chains. I shop there because I know I'll be guaranteed a quality experience. I never thought I would hear those words come out of the mouth of a Publix employee. The store manager assured me that it would be taken care of. That degree of miscommunication, lack of attention to detail, and blatant rudeness to a customer really is unacceptable.

They were open during the day with sufficient hours for everyone to be able to accomplish their deeds. Great customer service and friendly people. Very knowledgeable, about medications and insurances and willing to go the extra mile for a customer. I asked about certain meds and they took the time to explain interaction details. Very happy with this. Compared to other places my things were ready quickly and efficient. I am not aware of a loyalty program but will join if there is one to keep coming back to this superior service. Good customer service and friendly people to wait on you.

Always open when I need them. I have never had a bad experience with them, and would recommend them to anyone willing to listen. I go there all the time for my needs. They are always doing a nice job of recommending things to me and I like them for that. They are really awesome and I go there frequently. I hardly ever have to wait and I like that - and there are a lot of older people that live near me which is kind of funny that there is no wait time.

Hours are pretty flexible. It's easy to be able to get your medication in a certain timeframe. They are fairly fast. Also I would recommend to anyone looking for a good pharmacy. The pharmacist seems to know his medications well. They are very helpful and eager to answer any questions regarding your medication. The wait time isn't too bad. It depends how busy or is but I've gotten medication in as little as a half hour. Sometimes a little longer but always same day.

I appreciated knowing what was going into my body and how it'd help me defeat the evil bacteria. There was a very short wait time basically all I had to do was walk up and ask for my prescription and then they filled it and I was on my way.

That you expect. It was fast. It was ready when they said it would be. It was done earlier than they said. If you buy so much you can discount on groceries.

I just received the worst pharmacy service Ive ever experienced, anywhere. It started when I received a phone call from this Publix Pharmacy that my prescriptions (needed for cataract surgery early tomorrow) were ready. When I went to pick up, though, I was told at the counter that "it would be another 20-30 minutes". After waiting through that, then waiting some more, I finally threw in the towel at the 1 1/2 hour point and called the store manager. I explained the problem. He walked to the pharmacy counter, then returned and told me my order was ready.

When I returned to the window, though, I was met with pure retaliatory attitude and told I'd have to wait until another gentleman's order was filled. Noting the visible derision, I returned to the store manager and told him that I no longer trusted whatever might come across that counter. This has placed my cataract surgery appointment in jeopardy; however, I have zero trust in this Publix Pharmacy, or in the people who run it. This was absolutely horrible customer service. On the bright side, if I ever encounter someone whose filming an expose on passive aggressive behavior toward customers (particularly an old guy on the eve of cataract surgery), I'll send them to this Publix Pharmacy (corner of Kanner and Salerno, Stuart, FL).

My husband and I like it very much because they have $4 prescriptions on a lot of the ones we need. The staff is amazingly nice. We never wait very long at all. The pharmacist at Publix always makes the effort to explain everything we need to know. Will take time out to answer all our questions and be sure we understand what we need to know. I've seen them go out of their way to help customers. Several times I've seen them offer to help people in wheel chairs or on crutches. I admire caring people. I may need that help one day. I am a part of the rewards program. It saves my husband and I big bucks sometimes. Some of my husband's meds are very expensive. I love the fact we can be rewarded for spending our money at Publix.

Their hours sufficed and the overall wait time was very short, most places waiting thirty minutes was normal. So overall I was pleased with the time I had to wait which was approx 15 minutes. Very knowledgeable and experienced with the questions I had and knowing about side effects and what to drink or not to with the prescribed medications. To me a 15 minute wait time from beginning to end is not time considering I have waited up to an hour in line. I am very pleased and satisfied with the wait time at this store. Well, not really familiar with this however anytime there is a reward program you cannot go wrong especially when you use it often and with good reason.

They take pride in good customer service. Overall I feel as if they are very knowledgeable in what they do and they are really nice people. What's awesome about Publix is the wait time isn't too long. They will notify you when you prescription is filled. Because of that, and considering their level of knowledge and understanding of my situation I would recommend them. As I mentioned before I am satisfied because everything was perfectly organized so I didn't have to wait for so long. Staff was also amazingly pleasant and made waiting time better. I didn't have to wait a lot so I waited for understandable amount of time. I am really satisfied with outcome. The Publix Pharmacy that our household frequents is open from 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday and on Saturdays 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. They make it convenient for us to fill prescriptions and to get by for flu shots. The technicians and staff at Publix Pharmacy seem to be very knowledgeable about generic versus name brand and are able to give fairly firm dates when a specific prescription is out of stock. Also they keep you apprised on potential side effects and problems combining with other prescriptions. The wait times are usually not too long. Often we order by phone and wait for a call; other times we go to the desk to place an order and do grocery shopping. By that time the prescription is often ready to be picked up.
