I thought the beginning was great - it was motivating and the assessment quiz was helpful. I felt guided. But then around two weeks in, just as I was charged for my membership, I felt left alone. My coach barely reached out and hasn’t addressed any of the things I filled out. I didn’t fully understand or learn the red, green, yellow food theory and food logging became a hassle when I felt I wasn’t seeing any results. I think you over-promise and under-deliver. I will say, the idea of an app with daily lessons is nice and I do appreciate the structure to it, but it wasn’t worth 99€ for 3 months.

Excellent program for weight loss but even more than that. It’s education about a better way to relate to food and make better daily meal choices. Noom is showing me how to break old habits and eat without weight gain.

My husband and I joined together and it has been a great experience. It has made him in charge of his own journey and me in charge of mine. Sometimes we compete for who gets more lessons in a day. We are exercising together and helping each other eat the right foods.

I am happy with this Noom program but could be frustrating when it’s so up and down everyday! But I won’t give up! I didn’t think that my weight would go up and down like that but then again every diet I’ve hadn’t worked so I’ll keep trying.

Dear Friends, With the many changes these past couple of years due to Covid, work and personal health of myself and family, I needed to get back on to a better path to good health. Working at home involved way too much sitting! Noom has been great at keeping me on track and motivated as I made some long term goals. While it has only been two months, I have lost over 20 pounds and am on track to reaching a six month health and fitness goal I had set for myself. I have appreciated the daily readings and personal coach - all available without leaving home. The logging of meals has been important to me along with the daily ritual of facing the scale and weighing in. The recipes are an excellent addition to the site. But so difficult to print which is a nuisance. I found Noom at just the right time. Thanks.

Helpful gamification in the process. Easy to read articles and insightful things about food psychology. In the end, you just have to eat better and be active. So the program is fine, there is a community attached to help support, but it's nothing brand new. It boils down to, "are you willing to be mindful and eat in moderation?" As I said, it's no magic bullet. It is simply a program designed to make you think more about what you're eating and try to change life habits. It takes a lot of work if you want to be successful. The program can help jumpstart that, but as you go, its helpfulness will decrease and you will have to put into practice the principles shared in the program.

The daily water tracker resets to zero on my device as do the daily steps - I’ve notified Noom multiple times, but they can’t seem to get it fixed. Given that the app is all about tracking weight, steps, etc. - this seems to be a pretty significant fail. Would be five stars otherwise - but for this they only get three.

I have referred friend. They see the change in my overall attitudes and mood. I know the weight will leave once it realizes it’s not needed any more thanks to the education and support from Noom. My coach is very attentive and my group is engaging. Noom gives me focus on me. I’m nominating and noomalisous. Those compliments give me purpose to continue to eat food that give me energy and the ability to focus and concentrate.

I am very happy with Noom.! I wanted something but have never been able to stick to diets very well. I wanted something I could live with and I can see Noom being it. It deals with the whole you. I have lost more weight already than on any other “diet”.

I was hesitant to do it because of the price. Nothing was working though before. I already ate and exercised very well. I was ready to give up and just let it be that turning 40 meant my body was changing. A few pounds and a pants size or two was I guess okay. My wife found this program and was going to do it so I decided to do it too. Together we could hold each other accountable. I met my goal 4 weeks early and by the time my subscription is done I’ll almost double the weight loss I first wanted.

Overall I am very pleased with my coach, response time and fellow Noomers. I’m learning each day how to deal appropriately with wins-loses or maintaining weight. Currently dealing with a plateau but I’ve been encouraged to be patient!! I’ve got a long way to go but feel confident that it’ll be worth it.

I have had consultant support from both my coach and one to one sessions with a counsel Lor. Group posts have also been motivating and supportive. The Noom articles help explain the psychology behind weight loss, sustained weight changes, how our hormones play a role and tips for keeping the changes we have made. Overall very happy.

Initially, the program seemed like it would be a good one. But, it became a burden with all of the questions and "essays" that they seemed to want you to write every day. Also, the support groups weren't that great. Smaller groups would be better with 10-12 people, so you can get to know those you are trying to support. The major con of this program is that I paid for the 6 month program. That's what they determined was what I needed to lose the weight. I joined in October 2021, and when February 2022 rolled around, I hadn't lost the weight (my fault, I know), so I opted not to extend my plan. Now, it is October, a year and a day later since I initially joined, and I was automatically charged for another 6-month plan. I was not notified ahead of the charge, so when it posted, and I saw it today, I immediately went into the program to cancel.
Noom does not actually cancel your program until after the expiration of this next 6 months. So, I canceled a day after I was charged for another 6-month session. No refund, just a notice that I can continue to use the program until this new subscription expires. I am sure this was posted in the contract details somewhere, so I can only blame myself, but I want others to realize that whether you are successful or not, you will be charged for the same program you initially subscribed to every year unless you cancel BEFORE they automatically charge you. $169 plus tax down the drain.

Interesting lessons, easy to use app. Even logging meals (the thing I dreaded most) is easy. Best of all, it works. I love both the scientific explanations and the psych tricks to help me change my thinking about food. This has all the signs of a long term solution.

Noom has been an interesting and useful method to lose and control my weight loss experience. I find much of the dialogue to be aimed at a much younger West Coast audience but the overall counsel is good and to this point effective. This is much my more enjoyable than WEIGHT Watchers was and more effective.

I have loved my experience on Noom for the last two months. So far, my weight loss journey has been steady with some little hiccups, but surprisingly quick and consistent. The breakdown of the way I think about myself, food, and my life in general has really helped me understand why I eat what I eat and when I eat. It’s seriously groundbreaking, and could change the way we look at food and life in general. I think almost everybody needs this! I feel like this is a lifestyle change I was looking for that is long term.
It’s so user friendly, easy articles to click through, entertaining sidenotes, and great resources - with a group to support you, a group coach, and a one-on-one coach, who all can walk you through your plateaus and harder times to help keep you on track. I have been recommending this program to any family or friends who may be interested.

I’ve really appreciated the exercises they give. Even if they work for me, it’s nice to remember that I have options. Moving forwards with new ideas has shown me 2 things so far, I get unstuck and I get creative. Especially if an exercise didn’t work, I rearrange ideas to come up what’s works for me. My knowledge about food - carbs, proteins, and fats and the different functions in the brain was minimal. The psychological aspect I am more knowledgeable about. Being able to still eat the same foods but in different percentages is a big help. I am changing my relationship with food and not dieting.

This is my second time with Noom. The program just works. It’s as simple as that. Whatever level you engage on - whether it’s only monitoring calorie intake, or using the psychology tricks regularly, or responding daily to group discussions, it works if you just trust it. I’m 7 pounds down in five weeks and I’m well on my way to my ideal weight and my big goals. It’s not even that difficult, and I haven’t had to eliminate any foods from my diet! I’m just eating less of some things, picking more healthy options, and being mindful of how much I’m eating. I’m looking forward to fitting in my clothes and seeing my blood pressure go down even further.

I did like they said and kept eating ALL types and colors of food. I’d lose a pound or two and gain back a pound or two. I never lost more than some water weight and gained it right back. As of today's date I am where I started maybe a few ounces more. I gave it a couple months. Read every story and logged all my meals. Coaches just post group stuff. Not sure what services I was paying for as it is basically a logging app but with nutrients hidden.

Program is easy to follow. Logging foods is easier than I expected. I like the short lessons-easy to fit in a busy day. I am really trying to be consistent and the little messages reminding you to log your meals and encouraging after you log are surprisingly motivating.

This is not for me.
1. The answers provided to choose from do not apply to me most of the time. This makes the results invalid.
2. I hate the chat and that I get thrown in there without the chance to opt out unless I write to them to stop. There is no getting out of the group chat.
3. The program is for certain people and expects a certain type of engagement because there are questions that drop you automatically on the chat: you are expected to participate and if you don’t it makes you feel out of place. This isn’t for me.
4. It continues to assume that a lot of eating issues apply to everyone and continue on those topics. That’s great for those who it applies to, but the program does not filter that out if it doesn’t apply to you. Because the questions do not have a “does not apply to me” option, you JUST HAVE TO PICK. Even if it invalidates the rest of it since it’s based in Psychology. Invalid answers invalidate the whole process.
5. I have to continuously fill out ** answers that have nothing to do with me. The more I do this the more frustrated I feel with this program, the more I am reminded I am not like them but I still want help. So I just keep going with it in hopes that in all the unnecessary/or not applicable information overload there might be something for me. I don’t think it’s worth having to go through all that (and pay for it) just for me to waddle through it all picking the things that actually do apply to me (I can do that for free on Google search).
6. The calorie tracker and showing you the weightloss zone is great (that’s about it for good things but simple math can get you that too.
7. Food logging needs HELP. If you log in a meal kit and that meal had one orange or yellow food, it will log the whole thing as that and ignore all the green foods there. It’s a pain to have to go one by one on each ingredient.
8. Green/Yellow/Orange gives the same energy/anxiety/obsession as Green/Yellow/Red. They keep talking about not classifying foods as bad or good but that’s what their own color system does. Just because they didn’t use red they think they discovered America.
There are calorie tracker apps that are cheaper and do the same. I had REALLY hoped the psychology of this was going to help until I saw they want you to make yourself fit into their answers so the program can “work”. That means I don’t fit in.

I recently signed up with Noom and could not be happier. Yes, peaks and valleys for sure, that said I stayed on track with the coach/other Noom members by checking in. The program allowed me to continue to eat the things I love while also making me accountable for how much. Would highly recommend.

Been on Noom for about two months or so, and I’ve lost 11 lbs! It’s been great to receive the lessons every day. I am disappointed with how many people are in the groups and the lack of actual coaching from my new coach Mark and info from the coaching bots. It is not really tailored to the person even if it was only once a week like it had been in the past.

Overall the experience is good and the all the psych tricks are wonderful tools that I can use to manage my weight although it might take some time. I am a little bit puzzled by some food color system like tuna in can that you can find in the three color types depending on what you type in the searching box. Also barcode and food searching system is very ** food-oriented (pro tip: you can contact Yuka to see if they will be able to help you with an API of their own to also access to their database of barcode and allow more Europe based product to be scanned since Yuka is a major actor in France and Europe for that matter in food and cosmetic scanning reviews.
Also nice touch of having my Withings (I work there) Scanwatch integrated as a pedometer (I don’t know if you use the Withings SDK to integrate data or the Apple Health data but good job!) and I might add that every morning I weight myself with my Withings scale and it’s immediately recognized by Noom and integrated to my weight in for the day. I just have to add my mood of the day and it’s a great job so I don’t have to put my weight manually! There are some little bugs in the app (I’m a QA engineer myself so I can’t let that pass).

I’m somewhat disappointed at the coaching program. I have been assigned 3-4 coaches. Most of the times they are not responding and as soon as I think I’m making some connection they change. I do have questions for my coaches and I really need this guidance and was happy to see Noom is providing it. But unfortunately it’s not really the case.

I am finding Noom to an interesting way to track my food intake and how it categorises the food groups so it makes you aware of where you may be going wrong during the day and you can make adjustments the following day. The analysis tool is great as well as the psyche tips and daily mentoring with a staff member on hand to answer any questions. I am only new so looking forward to seeing better results over a period of months and the day I hit my goal weight!!

My first issue with Noom is that there is no online version. I cannot take my phone to work with me, so it’s hard to keep track of my progress during the day when I can’t log my food. 2nd, I’ve seen 4-5 pop up about being added to a group and I’m waiting. I’ve learned a lot from Noom and happy I joined.

I’ve gone through a variety of weight loss and healthy lifestyle coaching and training programs. Noom combines what worked for me in all those other programs. The content and approach isn’t particularly novel, but the user experience is excellent. There are a good combination of intrinsic and extrinsic motivators and rewards. The daily tasks are achievable. I love that the daily steps adjust according to whether I reach the goal or not. I’ve been less than impressed with the 1-1 coaching but I like that it’s provided. The group coaching has been what I would expect. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at my progress and can see I’m learning from the readings. I’m committed to aceing the Grocery Grab one day!

All, I’m having a ton of success with NOOM. Am losing weight, working out more, planning healthy lunches and dinners and am overall VERY happy. In fact, I’m trying to get a friend to join. Didn’t know what I should pick, so hired a coach job as well. Not getting a ton of value from my coach. Had a change in coaches sometime recently and overall intermittent engagement. When I have had engagement it was generally good, just looking for more. Right now I’m struggling with sleep and looking for help. That’s my area of focus. Haven’t received anything back from my coach after narrowing my focus days ago. Feels. Little empty.

Noom has been a lifesaver! I’ve never felt so educated and trusting of a weight loss process. The lessons are backed by psychology and behaviour change and as a Behavioural Therapist myself all of the strategies are bang on. I can’t wait to see how I feel in my own body this time next year!

I have been very careful to hit my targets but I think it’s set too high for me. I am not losing weight. It has been several weeks and I’ve been going up and down the same two or 3 pounds over and over. I feel good about my food choices because I’m eating more fruit and more vegetables than I did in the past. I’m also being more careful about things that fall in the orange zone. I don’t do a lot of high intensity exercise, but I am constantly moving. I get thousands of steps every day. I’m not very often sedentary.

I like using Noom app on my tablet because of the larger screen. Our wifi has gone out 2x for a few days each time and because the Noom app info doesn’t sync to the app on my phone I can’t use it. You should be able to sync the data for people on the go. Very limiting.

I have been looking forward to getting assigned a group for several weeks and it still tells me waiting. I reached out to support who said they can’t control that as it’s not a technical issue. So Noom just decides not to put people in groups cause maybe they won’t notice? I paid money for this app and expect to have access to all the features…. this is just disappointing. Yes, I would recommend a friend. I feel the program is working. Although. I have weighed 209 for the last week. I don’t like that I had a coach for 3 weeks and in the middle of my work just up and disappears and a new one shows up. Not nice with no warning from current coach.

Noom has been the only way I have truly lost weight. As a retired person in my 60’s, weight loss was impossible for me. I am dissatisfied and disappointed in Noom. Actually this is polite way of stating my thoughts. I used Noom instead of detox or juicing for my pre wedding weight loss. But I did not lose weight and because I eat mostly spinach I can’t log enough calories to account for the 3/4 of a container or 1 bag of spinach I eat per day. 90% of food in my mouth are raw veggies or the hummus or oil to help them through my system.

I feel supported and inspired by Noom, both from the lessons and from my group and the coaching. The lessons are sharp, concise, useful and funny. The group feature is like talking to friends who know exactly what you’re struggling with and getting their support and ideas. The group coach and my personal coach offer helpful, useful suggestions and ideas. I’m not where I want to be, but I can see that it’s possible.

My experience with Noom has been great. I just completed my 5th week and I still feel motivated to keep going. I am down almost 11 lbs, my clothes are fitting better, I feel more energized in the mornings, and I don’t feel as guilty when I eat a dessert or any other sweets. Noom has really helped me understand that I have to let myself enjoy those fun foods every once in a while.

I’m learning A LOT about my eating behaviors and style. One downfall for me is your exercise isn’t designed for arthritic knees, but I have some I do. Just saying the e exercise program you offer I can not use. Also, the food ideas are out of my reach. I have colon disease so I can’t eat nuts, seeds. It’s frustrating for me. I really like the psychological aspects; I usually read the notes before I get up or just after, as it helps to set my motivation for the day. The group chat is encouraging and my coach gets back to me quickly if I have queries. I still find it tricky to eat enough foods in the yellow group, but am getting there.

NOOM has a ton of education that is well written. The lessons are engaging and a highlight of the program. The food logging and database are extremely frustrating. Foods are inconsistently listed which makes accurate calorie counts impossible. The coaches are just okay.

I am amazed at Noom. When I saw a friend posted about it few months ago, I went « ok the new weight loss thing ». But this is no weight loss program but a teaching tool that makes you understand different facets of why we put on vs lose weight. Personalized, it will bring you to make adequate realistic changes in your life. You also get a personal coach with whom you exchange by writing and she had giving me amazing tricks. And perimenopause women, yes we can shred easily those pounds off! I love it so much, I want the inventors of Noom to create the equivalent for finances!

It’s been two months since I started on Noom. Though the scale has been on its own roller coaster journey, my weight has trended down with an overall weight lose of 16 pounds. I think that if one sticks to their calorie budget, this program will-no doubt-get one where one wants to be. However, be patient and if you fall down, just get back up and start again.

I had a terrible relationship with food, especially sweets. I ate cookies by the bag if I was angry, sad, elated, bored, any stress actually. Noom changed one small idea at a time. Since my cookies weren’t 'bad’, I used distraction and substitutions of fruits and veggies when a meltdown occurred. I could even have a cookie by working thru the meltdown. After reading several informative articles and acting on their suggestions, the meltdowns have been mitigated, occurring less often. Now my stress is less, and food is not the obsession it once was. Noom is teaching me how to approach food in a healthy manner.

I appreciate the support and tracking on the app but this is my second time going through the program. I lost about 40lbs last time but had some very stressful things disrupt life and I gained most of it back. The program isn’t working for me this time. I haven’t lost anything significant this time. I feel stuck in stress eating patterns that I just can’t stop myself. It’s really frustrating. My knees are starting to get bad from the excess weight. I need to lose the 40-50 pounds and keep it off for good.

For the last two years, my weight has maintained at 152 pounds. My goal is 140. Since beginning NOOM six weeks ago, my weight has fluctuated between 152 and 154. My calorie count is below what is recommended by Noom. A knee injury has curtailed some of my activity, But I am still able to garden and play golf. In the past, I was not in the habit of eating snacks. Wondering if they are prohibiting my weight loss. Drinking more than 48 ounces of water per day disrupts my sleep at night with trips to the bathroom. My coaches' comments are very general. I need more specific suggestions.

I have been happy with my experience with Noom. My only disappointment has been that I have not really lost weight. I’ve lost just 2 pounds in the time that I’ve been following it. The good news is my body feels better in general. I have more energy and I have pretty much taken sugar out of my diet which is good for my arthritis. I am more active and exploring various types of exercise. My best friend that I’ve known for over 50 years is also doing it. She lives in another state but it’s been fun to compare our experiences.

I have been doing Noom for over a month and have not lost more than 2 pounds. I feel like I’m not getting enough assistance in choosing the right kinds of foods. My personal assistant is not being specific enough with help. She is asking more probing questions that I don’t think are helpful. I need help deciding ahead of time what I will eat for the day BEFORE I get to the end of the day. Also, the calorie ranges for yellow and orange are not helpful. A graph of % would be more helpful. I cannot see a graph of % of green vs yellow vs orange.

I signed up for Noom, and during the sign up process you are constantly Bombarded with add-ons through marketing tricks (the program is designed by psychologists), easily doubling the cost of the subscription by the time you finally get done. These add-ons are at best deceptive and arguably fraudulent. At Nooms recommendation I added, amongst every other add-on, the Custom Meal & Workout Plan for almost $60. This plan was nothing more than a generic link to a “no restriction meal pan”, an identical plan sent to everyone in this category. There was nothing custom about it at all. I wasn’t even consulted on if I had any restrictions (I do, I am pre-diabetic and have food allergies).
Imagine creating a generic meal plan, posting it online and then charging $60 to view it. That’s on top of the $200 a year course, and on top of the other add-ons.I reached out to customer support to detail my dissatisfaction, only to be told that they considered a plan shared by the majority of their users to be ‘custom’ and to suck it up. Caveat emptor. Noom is a nickel and dime company using physiological coercion to milk cash cow customers when they are at their most vulnerable.

I have been using Noom for approx. 2 months and I love it. I have been trying to lose weight for years with no success. I was given a 2 week free trial of Noom and figured, why not. I felt a difference at the end of those 2 months and then paid for a 1 year membership. I feel it was one of the best decision I could have made for myself. When I went to the doctor after 1 month I had lost 7 lbs and was feeling better. Now at the end of 2 months I am feeling more energetic, sleeping better and having less knee pain. I have not weighed myself recently because my knees hurt so much I could not stand on the scale appropriately and it would give me an error. I do know I am doing better though.
The program has taught me to look at what I am eating. The program has you record what you eat and counts the calories. It gives me a range of daily calories. I like that because it does not make me feel shamed if I go above the target. I learned that it is better to be a little over the lower part of the range. I now plan what I going to eat and thinking more about what foods will fill me up with lower calories and what foods are full of empty calories. I have never looked at food this way before and I am over 60 years old and have been on numerous diets with some success, but it never stuck.
Many times it was unsustainable, Noom is something I can keep doing so I know I will succeed and keep the pounds off. I do not feel like I am punishing myself by not eating something. If I am having a piece of birthday cake I put it the app early in the day so I eat items that will help me stay in my range. Since I am prepared for it I am more than willing to eat a small piece and be happy.
I have also found which foods affect my body with bloating, gas and loose bowels. I found other food I can substitute for them and usually it is a food that is better for me. I love that they rate food as green, yellow and orange instead of saying DO NOT EAT THIS. I recommend this program to others who have tried to lose weight and have had problems or gained the weight back after losing it. I recommend this for people who want to control their life instead of having food and weight control them. Give the program a try, you will not be sorry. I know you will Love the Program as much as I do.

After 2 babies and so many other life factors I was starting to lose hope that I could get back to my pre-parenthood sense of health and self. I have not had the best experience. I’ve lost 3 pounds in 5 weeks despite exercising more and measuring and counting everything. I don’t like that nuts and Doritos are in the same category. I have counted calories before and found success when I eat nuts but when I do in this program I end up going over in orange. I’m considering switching to a straight calorie counting app.

I love the app and accountability that it forces me to log meals and exercise. I’ve learned from their library clips that are served up to me every morning. It’s great how I can listen or read the information. It was very confusing in the beginning because I thought my nutrition coach was some other coach. I think I may have fallen out of the system at that point because I never got any other coaching. I would like to talk/chat to someone or be put in a group with other Noomers to talk about my experience. I also went on vacation for a week and there’s no accommodation in the app for flagging vacations where I couldn’t weigh myself— Noom DID keep me aware of calories & exercise during my vacation, A huge plus!!!

I really enjoy the approach that Noom takes. Coming at weight loss from the psychological side makes sense. So much of the eating, the guilt, the shame comes from old behavior and it gets in the way! It's nice that the lessons are bite sized each day. Not a ton of new info and not any really recipes for folks that are vegan. Wish there were more studies and science results to help push ideas. Individual coach is OK but not huge help and group coach just gives you a text of something to think about and comment on the group but not a ton of new info. Every now and again some interesting articles. I thought this was going to be more of a blueprint and it's not. App told me when I signed up that I would hit my goal weight in early Jan. Throughout the process, it's moved all the way to March and changed daily.

While I love and am comfortable with technology, the lack of more personal connection is one of the reasons why I’m not losing the weight I am than when I was doing a different program. The other program involved daily pictures and weekly phone calls with a coach.

I’ve had some major breakthroughs using this app. Being able to go at my own pace but also use the app more consistently than going to therapy has been extremely helpful, and some of the ideas have literally blown my mind open!

I am 82 years old and I am not sure Noom is helpful to seniors. I am doing 10k a day but am exhausted. That’s ok. I can deal with being tired but there is not a suitable workout for seniors. Doing lunges and etc is dangerous for us with joint issues and replacements. No way for me to judge.

Although many people rave about Noom, I had a disappointing experience. After two months of hard work, I gained weight. In fact, I’m the heaviest I’ve been in my life as a result of being on Noom. On a standard diet (i.e. eating healthier and limiting treats) I typically lose 2 lbs per week. Not on Noom!! I think this program is best suited to those who are severely overweight with bad eating habits ..Otherwise you will gain.

I love The articles, they make it like a fun game! The only complaint I have Is that I wish You could log food more easily and find foods that you have put in before more easily, and have the ability to switch meals. For example if I accidentally Logged my entire lunch as breakfast, I wish There was a way to move the foods to lunch without removing and reinputting them

Excellent source for weight loss. It offers encouragement, psychological insights with a dash of humor for behavior modification, staff and fellow NOOMer support, super easy tracking elements for food consumption, Exercise and weight stats. NOOM doesn’t let you binge the program all at once but gives you small bites each day and rewards for following thru, encouragement when you need it. I highly recommend this site. I look forward to my lessons each day and have seen progress in my first month. Couldn’t do it by myself!

Basically I have really enjoyed my experience with Noom, though it is all very American oriented and though my group coach seems nice enough, I have found the group pointless and a waste of time. There are only about 5 people who regularly post in there, they are all American, posting about US products I have never heard of, and I resent the fact we are constantly asked to share our plans there before we can continue with the next lesson. I have enjoyed most of the recipes I have tried, but again all very US, and I seriously Question some of the calorie count of the recipes, on many occasions they seem rather on the low side. On the positive side, I reached my goal weight sooner than expected, and am now trying to lose some more.

I was hoping for much more from this but this doesn’t seem to be much better than fitness pal except fitness pal you can find many more foods and the nutritional content seems to be much more accurate with that app. On Noom, I logged oatmeal with ground flax seed one day and the analysis showed it was green, but then when I entered it again another day, it showed up as an orange food. Also the calorie content seems to be quite off on many food items and it makes it very hard to figure how how much your eating. Haven’t gotten much from my personal coach, however we were both on vacation for a little bit. We’ll see if that changes. If I had to do over, I don’t think I’d purchase this again.

Noom. I haven’t been able to focus enough on my diet to make progress with Noom. I Would like to begin keeping track of my meals. I do want to begin a structured meal plan so I can tell that I am following a plan. I want to lose weight and keep track of the cholesterol in my food. Noom’s app gives daily lessons in weight loss. It uses “psych tricks” to teach and help you. It’s entertaining and well done. But does it help you lose weight? Not for me. Promises not kept: The exercise program is just a pdf of exercises you could do. It is not integrated into the app. The recipes are fine but again, not integrated and treated as an afterthought. The “coach” is not a coach in the sense that they are actually not allowed to give advice. My first coach would answer questions a week later.

Having a mobile phone based interface is quite hard for a older user like me. I would prefer to have a mobile AND a desktop web interface. The 1:1 coaching is quite low touch. My coach messages me once in few days with a sound-bite or a question. Follow is very slow. This is not what I expect from a 1:1 coaching for a service I pay $60 a month. I keep asking for resources, papers, on your website. I get nothing back. It is doled out like a big secret. Very Disappointed. I am pay quite a bit for this service. I expect more.

I very much like the way Noom informs me about the phycology of dieting and I like the way all the fresh foods make you feel better overall, but it has been very slow going to lose the four pounds that I have lost in more than six weeks. I attribute some of that to my age and less active lifestyle. I will stick to it, fairly easy so far, to see if I can lose at least ten more pounds.

Okay, so before I dive too deep into why I really enjoy this program, I think it’s important to remember that different things work for different people. So maybe you don’t want to read the courses, or track the food, etc. so that will play into success. But for me, when I signed up for Noom I genuinely decided I had to commit as fully as I could. So I do the readings, track my food, weigh in everyday, and drink loads of water. I knew my issues with weight gain was from an unhealthy relationship with food and the belief that truly just would never be able to put the candy down.
So I needed to be able to dig deep and get tools to navigate long term, sustainable weight loss. Which is why I choose Noom. I didn’t just want an app that would log my steps and allow me to put in my meals. I NEEDED the psychology of it to try to rewire the way my brain looks at food. So far so good! 20+ lbs down and on track to hit my goals. I still have lots of work to do but for a real mental shift, this is a great app.

The app doesn't work right. The food database information contradicts the lessons. Stuff that had been tracked disappears. The "encouraging reminders" are annoying. My coach has changed 4 times. The coaches are not very responsive and have not provided any useful support.

I started Noom a bit skeptical, but within 2 weeks I understood why so many people stayed on beyond the trial. I have learned so much about food, which has helped me change my relationship with what I eat and how I eat. I would highly recommend this app for anyone looking for a lifestyle change, whether it be to lose weight or just eat healthier. I had so many misconceptions about different foods and this has really educated me at my eyes. The coaches and readings are highly motivating which has made a big difference for me. This is a decent app if you have never studied or read anything related to health. As someone that followed the DASH diet when experiencing high blood pressure after giving birth, as well as taking fitness courses and psychology courses during my post-secondary education, this app is good for tracking calories; however, I do not find the psychology of the course to be all that useful or contain new information. Customer service for Noom was immensely kind and helpful, but would I recommend this app for the price it is to someone looking to lose weight? Probably not. I would recommend going to the library and getting some health and diet related books, use a fitness tracker, and download a free app to track calorie intake. Will I extend my subscription? Probably not.

I was very skeptical how Noom could help me but I’ve been using it daily for a month and I am seeing big differences in my eating habits. I no longer see myself as being on a diet and restricting foods I like but try to make better choices all the time. I don’t beat myself up if I have an extra G and T or a dessert. Overall, I’ve had a great experience using the app, working with the one on one coach, and love the reading daily. However, I feel very disappointed in the end results. While high have learned to think differently about food, I did not achieve my weight loss goals. At the onset of the program, I was very clear about wanting to lose 10 pounds within nine weeks. I have a reunion to go to next week, and that is the end of the program. I have only lost 3 pounds. And that’s not even something I can be sure about, since I have fluctuated back up to my starting weight several times during this nine week journey. This is a big financial commitment for me, as I do not work and I am a stay at home mom. I was hoping to shed all the baby weight, as I’ve tried so many other methods and not seen the scale moves. I understand that a health and wellness journey isn’t always about the scale, but for me, it means a lot.
As I’m sure it does for other name users since we are required to have daily waiting to see the most effective results. I have done all of the things that new says would help achieve the greater success towards my weight loss goal. That is everything from daily way and only having ever missed two meals logged in because of being on the road for travel, never missing my daily reading goals, staying within my calorie budget to the best of my ability and only ever going over three days out of those nine weeks. I am a bit flustered, with myself more so than the program. Although I do feel a little bamboozled having been promised such high hopes for achieving my weight loss goal at the start of this journey and at the start of this financial and emotional and physical investment.

After many months of research I decided that Noom looked like the most compatible for me. I have not been disappointed. I especially like the ease of recording meals along with the Analysis of food groups. I knew that would be a place of resistance for me but that has not happened. That alone has helped tremendously but the learning articles also provide good information to encourage me. My coach, Bonnie, has been very helpful. Trying but not losing any weight. I’m stuck. I don’t know what the problem is but it’s frustrating. Also the total calorie count for my day is impossible to read on my phone - the numbers run together. I have a new iPhone so don’t know why it’s buggy. Please fix this bug.

I am 6 weeks in, have lost 9 pounds and I’m excited to reach my goal. I am actually excited to get on the scale every morning! I try hard not to let the ups and downs on the scale bother me. I am learning the difference between just the number of calories and the right kind of calories.

Foods the list says are green, like white fish, don’t show up as green. Then I get ‘coached’ that I need to eat more green foods. I barely hear from my coach. My experience has been a little more than using My Fitness Pal, which is free, on my own.

I have been using Noom for a little over 2 months now and I like the program. My only complaint is that I am a user who is blind and I use Voiceover screen reader to interact with my device and apps. I have shared several times about the inaccessibility of the application and even though several updates have been released there have been no accessibility improvements. I would like to say that the majority of the app is accessible however there are some pretty key things I am unable to do independently such as log my water intake, adjust values beyond what is showing, manually enter exercise values, or see when there are attachments or photos that are used to describe course specific information.

Noom provides the consistency, education, and awareness to help me on my journey to better health. They keep my ultimate why front and center, and provide DBT-based psych tricks to help me meaningfully change my habits. I’ve lost 15 lbs in 2 months - not as fast as previous programs I’ve tried but I suspect more lasting.

I like the idea of Noom, but don’t feel it’s quite “ready” yet. I take the time to log my weight and water intake daily only to have it disappear overnight. I have invested in a Fitbit to track my steps, but the Noom app doesn’t sync even though it is connected. I’ve reached out to tech support, but have not seen any app updates to resolve these known issues.
As far as the actual program goes, I don’t really feel a connection with my one on one coach, but I do enjoy the group. I like that there is more engagement, both from the group leader and the members. I find a lot of helpful information there as well. I enjoy the daily lessons, quizzes, games, etc. I also like the visual representation of logging my food and seeing which category they fall in. Will I continue my membership? Probably not unless the app problems are fixed. I find the logging keeps me motivated because I can go back and see where I need to improve. It inspires me to do better the next day, but not having that previous information makes me lose my motivation.

Food logging is a bit clunky. It would be helpful to have a way to look at a food choices without having to go through so many steps. And that there are sometimes multiple entries for essentially the same food is frustrating. Also I like to be super accurate and weigh everything in ounces and not all food choices give that as an option. There’s just a lot of room for error when I’m trying to be super accurate while learning (to eyeball) portion sizes. The other thing that would be helpful is easier access to all the articles.

I am learning lots of new things and my coaches are awesome! I’m still overcoming challenges. One thing I don’t like is that you have to back out of logging before going to the next meal. You should be able to move meal to meal inside of the logging part of the app. Other than that super satisfied.

I like the lessons, but the logging system has many kinks. It just arbitrarily deletes my steps from previous days, arbitrarily delete my weigh-ins, and same with water. I like the knowledge I am getting, though. I just wish the measurement process to track my progress was flawless.

This is my second go with Noom. I was so pleased and had great success the first time. My issue when I dropped was the lack of support to maintain. Now, 3 years later and up 15 lbs, I thought I’d give it another try. I’m not into it and I don’t feel at all supported. I think if it’s a psychology based program there ought to be a psychology based maintenance strategy. When I was practically begging for that the first time around, I basically got the “run around” and I thought, well, if I've got this, I’ve got this. But, here I am, up 15 lbs, so, clearly, I don’t. And, I don’t feel any personal connection this time at all.

Noom tries to market itself as not a "diet", well...it's most certainly a diet app. That's okay too...I initially went there looking for assistance losing weight, I expected a diet app. But, this app is so content heavy! So much so that I feel they've lost sight of the people having to use the app itself. I happen to work in a metal building all day long, I get HORRIBLE cell phone reception. This means...I can't use the app at all for the majority of my day. Why? Because they have no desktop app that I could access online from work on my computer.
Honestly, this makes me feel like the developers of this app all work in nice bright offices, or from home where they have complete and constant usage of their phones. Well...hundreds of thousands don't live on their phones. Also, I found it frustrating to figure out how to log things. I'm glad I was inside my 7 day trial period so I wasn't stuck with paying for this program...it's definitely not worth it for me.

I think I just expected more from Noom but I’m not sure what. I know that isn’t the most helpful. I struggle to put into words but I just expected more. Maybe more help in telling me about the foods I’m eating and more helpful insight. I also don’t love the group thing and want to opt-out.

I have been doing Noom for just over a month and I am down 9 lbs. The best part is I’m not just feeling good physically, but mentally as well. After having a baby I was looking for something to help me lose weight that wouldn’t require a huge amount of time! Noom is so easy, I do the course at my own pace and can instantly start applying the principles. Logging my food by orange, yellow, and red helps me identify foods I thought were helping my health, but really are breaking my calorie budget. Nothing's off limits for food, they just show you how it’s impacting your day. They give you the tools to improve my health and I apply them at my pace. It’s not all or nothing, but simply adjusting my life to fit my goals in a slow and sustainable way. It’s great!

Boom’s approach is based in psychology, is well researched and engaging. No foods are “bad” or off limits; instead, foods are grouped by color according to calorie density, and as the user tracks food intake, the foods are categorized by color, making it easy to see how many calories were ingested and how much is still available. The program doesn’t promise instant results, and it gives strategies for dealing with cravings and discouragement. There are resources like recipes and workouts. And a recent upgrade now makes it possible for the user to record a meal that is eaten frequently to access so that one doesn’t have to enter the same foods again and again.

This is my first time using Noom. It was recommended to me by my doctor. I couldn’t be happier with this decision! My coach Mia is fantastic! She keeps me focused and asks probing questions to help me get to the root of whatever I am dealing with. The daily reading motivates me and debunks so many myths I’ve long held as bible truths. I am enjoying my Noom experience so far. I’m learning a lot about eating habits and food groupings. I have not lost any weight yet but am hopeful that will follow. The instruction and information is excellent. I however, am not a optimum participant. I have a limited list of foods I like. What I don’t like, I absolutely will not eat and if I can get it down, I will throw up. That’s just me. I am trying. I am a stress eater and I have a very stressful life. That’s just what/the way it is. I can psych myself to a point and I’m trying, but so far I regret the money I spent on this program, but I won’t quit.

I am about a month in and feeling strong. The scale hasn’t moved as fast as I would like (does it ever) but I know I am making real progress in my relationship with food. When discovered my iPhone 13 didn’t have the latest version, I had to delete the app, reinstall it, restart my phone several times and yet nothing changed, so, I had no opportunity to chat with the coach. In this sense, I had a very expensive app for logging meals and daily weight: features you can get elsewhere for free. Besides, I made a mistake when I said I wanted to weigh 52 kg: that weight is not healthy at all for my height! And yet the app allowed me to set it as a goal and predicted it would take me about 4 months to get there. The correct weight I needed to set was actually 62 (10 more kg!).

I scheduled my first coach session for a Saturday and was very much looking forward to it. The appt was confirmed and I got several reminder emails from Noom regarding the appt. On the day of, I went to messages to get ready to meet my coach and saw a message saying that the schedule was an error because coaches are only available on weekdays. I have yet to meet my coach and this issue has not been resolved. When I tried to schedule a new appt it prompted me to pay although I never got my complimentary session.

I have been following Noom for 6 weeks and I have not lost weight! I lose and gain even though I have stayed under my calorie allotment! I stay under for the most part to make up for calories I may have underestimated. I have gone over, but not enough to gain a pound which takes 3000 calories! I am very unsatisfied!

It’s just a calorie counter that uses an overly simplistic “calorie density” scheme to pretend it’s something new but it’s not. I’ve consistently counted my calories as BELOW the weight loss range and have lost only 2 pounds over a month (this is negligible since I’m starting at over 220lbs). Also I’m disappointed that there is no consideration of gut health… E.g. avocado is high calorie density and is considered bad despite many studies that show it helps weight loss. Not worth the exorbitant cost.

This has been an easy process! The app is easy to use and I have learned so much thru the lessons we read. The only thing I have trouble with is logging some foods. It’s hard when it’s a homemade item that you have no idea how many it serves. And trying to log food from a local restaurant! I just do my best! My Noom guide has been very nice and helpful!!

We are planning an Alaskan cruise for our 40th anniversary. My motivation to start Noom was to lose weight and be healthy and active enough to participate in all of the amazing excursions that I saw available on this cruise. I had 1 year to lose 35lbs and modify the way I think about exercise and eating. I couldn’t be happier with the results!
I am a nurse, so naturally I had a mindset that I knew how to eat healthy and diet. Noom has shown me that my perception of how to diet was so far off base that I really struggled to believe what Noom was telling me. I’m 5 weeks in, and I have lost 10 pounds. I am more pleased than I can put into words. The way I think about food still creeps in with disbelief, but I try hard to follow the program and I continue to be absolutely wide eyed that this program works so well.

This is my first paid time with Noom. I did a 2 week trial a couple years ago. I am here because of Noom’s support for Sisters in Law podcast. As I turned 70 I found my weight creeping up at a slow but steady pace, blowing by every high water mark I set not to exceed. I really like the psychological research that has gone into creating the diet and support. The social support of the group has been a highlight of the process and the lessons are engaging, interactive and well designed. I appreciate the humor that goes into them. I wish the recipes were a little simpler —then I would likely use them more. I e only Mae one which had an editing issue as one of the main ingredients was left out of the instructions! I also haven’t heard anything from my 1:1 coach despite reaching out.

I do not like the app. Also logging foods doesn’t usually have the convenient portion sizes. You can’t measure pierogies by cups. Also I don’t feel the coach Taylor helps. I would have thought a coach would give you help when they see you really are not losing weight. Just very discouraged and disappointed.

The support is awful. I feel I’ve wasted my money- I’m tracking and ready but am not getting the information I keep asking your coaches for. Now my second coach and still almost no response to my request. I’m not losing weight, I am learning about calorie counts but I’m very disappointed and frustrated. The reads are okay. Nothing I didn’t know. Thought I would be getting support with a meal plan and communication with the coach. Would not recommend at this point- I’m doing the entries daily and could track my eating and exercise for free on other apps so very unhappy with Noom. I will be asking for refund if I don’t get the support I need or results. So far is not doing what you advertise

Not happy with progress. Weigh every day, log food always, stay hydrated, read every article presented…. Nothing. No lost weight, inches, no increased energy. I have experienced lots of plateaus and down maybe 0.5 lb after 1.5 months while my expected date to reach goal weight slowly creeps out of sight.

I have been on the program since mid-June. At first, I lost about 7 lbs but then my weight started climbing back up. At this point, I’ve gained about 3 lbs back of the 7 I lost. I am very unhappy at this time. I have been following the Noom program with no results. Very frustrated member.

I’m loving Noom. Not only is it very educational, it gives me new ways to adjust my eating habits. Melissa is my coach and she is very helpful. The group participation is a huge help. I’m very glad I joined!

Noom is helping me to achieve my weight loss goals - slowly but surely. The lessons, my group, and my coach are all helping me make mindset shifts. I’m hoping this will be the final weight loss plan. I’m learning to change my habits and behavior in a way that is sustainable. The app can be a little glitchy.

I didn’t have that much to lose (15 lbs) but I just couldn’t seem to get down to business. My ole standby method wasn’t motivating me, so I decided to try Noom because a friend had success with it. I love how I check in every day, easily log my meals and have “lessons” to listen to and motivate me every day. My only complaint is that the app does not sync across devices. Come on Noom, it’s 2022. It would be so much easier to use. :).

My calorie goal determined by Noom is far too high and goes against my Drs' orders, so it’s difficult to follow their program as prescribed since much is based off those numbers. I’ve been told it can’t be changed. Free apps allow for change, this expensive one does not. 3/3 emails/“support tickets” to customer service have gone unanswered, and the 1:1 coach is nice but not very available and thus far has not helped set any goals. Very dissatisfied but no one at Noom seems to care.

Disappointed in the food and exercise guide that was an additional fee. Probably too late to ask for my money back… But certainly wasn’t worth it and I’ve never used it! I was expecting different recipes and exercises to be sent every week… oh well…live and learn. I am eligible for a similar program that is free of charge through my insurance plan. I will be canceling Noom when it is time to renew.

I hadn’t tried other programs before Noom. But I feel it’s different in its approach with psychology. I’ve lost a few pounds. But more importantly, my attitude to food and exercise has changed. I feel alive and more in control. I’m able to combat cravings, push myself to workout and enjoy the process. Knowing it is backed with research also feels better.

The depth in the courses have been great — I feel like I’m learning more and more about my hunger cues and what my body needs. Paired with regular exercise, I’ve been seeing the results. Above everything else, I think my favourite element is the one-on-one coach — I’ve never had anything like that. Someone who is watching your progress, making suggestions and pushing your “why” is making a huge impact for me.

This is my third time to do Noom. My failure in the past was to pay attention to the total calorie count each day but not to the color scheme esp the reds. So I plateaued and stopped. Glad to have the group mentor. I believe I will succeed this time.

I appreciate the guidance and structure of Noom. I am down 27 lbs so far. I have a long ways to go but with noom I actually think there is a chance this time. For anyone who is thinking of trying noom just remember you're in this for the long game. It's really not about weight loss. I find the app is very user friendly. It keeps me coming back. The only areas that could be improved are the food logging and the chat. Some of the food logging information seems off sometimes or there are multiples of an item with different calories or color designations. The group chat is frustrating for me. It feels disorganized because the threads don’t seem to be used correctly. I am enjoying having a one on one coach much better.

I like the program overall, I do believe that there’s a psychological aspect to losing weight and I’m trying to learn about it. So far I have done everything I am expected to do, but the scale isn’t moving. Don’t know what’s wrong. I’m eating well under my calorie limit, drinking well over my water intake, doing exercise, but the last 3 or 4 weeks nothing has happened.

I’ve seen therapists, taken meds, tried so many different ways to approach my binging tendencies. Nothing has worked until now. The consistency of engaging and science backed content must’ve just clicked for me. I haven’t heard from my coach since starting 2 months ago. We have a very large group chat, however I am not comfortable talking within that setting and thought I would have an individual coach assigned. However the app itself and the learning material has been very helpful.

I have been logging all meals, exercising daily, reading all lessons, weighing daily. I have learned a lot throughout the process. The scale has been much slower to respond than I would like, but it is responding. I've been sick since July 10 and needed to follow a different food plan that was needed to get well. However I have been logging in my food and weight into Noom app. I was losing weight, but not because of Noom -- it was because I was sick! I did write to some coach at the beginning of my illness. Two weeks later she got back to me. I'm getting better now and want to follow Noom but am still on a very restrictive diet. Noom seems to be for people who are healthy, not sick!

When I got Noom I was getting ready for a full knee replacement. My Dr suggested I lose 15+ lbs and up my exercise routine. A friend suggested Noom was a good way to become more aware of what I was eating and how active I was. I only got to use Noom for a couple weeks before surgery. Three weeks after surgery the info I set up in Noom is a great framework for getting back in the game. The coach-bots do keep encouraging me... I'm not sure how much gets to a real human...? But, it's a great reminder application to keep me focused on where I am headed.

Luckily logging food and Weighing in daily is not new to me. I appreciate the method, lessons and food classifications. Good experience if someone is learning In general how to eat and think more healthily. My complaint is the marketing method which included a tool stating that if I followed NOOM, I would lose 5 pounds in about six weeks. Despite having followed the entire program exactly as prescribed for almost five weeks I have lost 0 pounds. I can maintain my weight without an app. And five pounds shouldn’t be too challenging amiright?

I’ve been on Noom x 6wks — had no change in my weight first 4wks & then started gaining wt next 2wks. One: one coach has not been helpful. The calories in each color changes when you save at the end of the day vs when you’re entering the meals so while it seems like you’re well within your calories, suddenly when you say you have no more meals to record, whamo! you’re over (see pics)— how messed up!!! It’s also not syncing with my pedometer & there’s no means to enter the information manually … silly that we can’t do that. There’s also no way to view your caloric intake (over time) with a graph — the only graph they have is your with over time.
