The program is fine if you want to log everything you do constantly. I am older and I just don't want to stare at my phone that much so I stopped using after a few months. Recently, I got a renewal notice. Not that it was upcoming but that they had run the transaction. I called this morning to cancel and get the charges refunded and was told that they don't issue refunds, no exceptions. I like many things about the program but I don't think they will be around long with policies like this one. I'm really blown away that they can do this or that they would as I only used the program for maybe three months and now I am paying for a service that I will not use because it's just not for me.

Gives me a way to check in and assess where I’m making progress or not. Not high pressure. Lets you make your own decisions as you go with good reasonable guidelines. Gives good information about fundamentals. Short enough to not lose my attention and able to fit into my day.

It has been around 2 months almost I join Noom, and it have helped me to choose better options to eat but I am not able to lose weight. When I asked my consultant, they don’t give me an straight answer and I feel I am turning in circles.

Noom was ineffective for my weight loss journey. I had much better success (43 pounds) with Weight Watchers. Noom took too much of my time, so I quickly became disinterested. Also, Noom “renewed” my account for an additional 6 months without any email/app correspondence. They should provide date of withdrawal PRIOR to removing funds. Even though I quickly realized what happened, they refused to even give a partial refund. Sort of a rip off. If you sign up, make sure to cancel before you are billed again!

One of the things that made me avoid Noom was that I had a pretty thorough understanding of nutrition, and some experience with CBT, so I didn’t want to be preached to in a way that made me bored. All of the little lessons actually help me stay motivated and are worded in a way that makes me feel positive about my journey. The big difference between this and other weight loss solutions I’ve tried is that they really are careful to try and keep guilt out of the equation. Instead, I just feel empowered to make better choices that I know how to make. After a month, so far so good!

I love the program with the emphasis on psychology. I have plenty to eat but am not losing weight like I thought. The coach has been mildly helpful but maybe it is me being discouraged. I will keep on for the next month.

I purchase a subscription to Noom a year or so ago. I was not pleased with the results and called to cancel. I was told that it was too late to cancel. I requested that my automatic renewal be canceled. I noticed today that my credit card was charged again. There was no listed number on the charge, but Chase was able to provide me with the phone number. I attempted to call the number and waited for 25 minutes and just got a recording. The recording said to log onto Noom and that I could cancel online (which was never explained to me before). So I did that, while I continued to hold on as they said someone would be right with me. I canceled and stated my case. Before I hung up the phone, I received an email canceling my subscription, but stating that since I called 4 days after the charge was made, it could not be refunded. In my opinion, this is criminal!

I signed up for Noom to give it a try - it wasn't for me, but no problem. I called to cancel my subscription and was under the impression that it was cancelled. Six months later, I get charged for a full year subscription. Within hours of the charge, I call them to say hey there's been a mistake and I want a refund. They refuse, claiming I never called and that they have no record of the cancellation. I've never had a company unable to cancel within hours of starting or just flat deny that I've ever called before. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced! Don't give them your credit card info - I guess I'll be waiting until next year to see if they have actually cancelled my account.

It’s been great. Lessons have a lot of common sense information which I know but there are a few things new I am learning about myself which I didn't know. I like tracking things even if they are not going in exactly the right direction like my weight.

The software and interface is nice. I’m dutifully doing the program but I’m not losing weight. What coach? I’m not getting any coaching. At best canned answers. And there is no real community. If you post, it’s like posting a question out into the ether.

I was billed an annual fee on my credit card 2 days ago. I don’t want to renew. Used chat feature to dispute the charge. After 30 minutes, rep told me that he couldn’t find my account. Was informed that another rep would email me. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. So, I called (29 minute wait time) and was told that Noom sent me a reminder notice last month. Well, I didn’t see it. After some discussion, I was told that I can’t get a refund..That’s it. I don’t understand how they can charge me, if I call to cancel within 48 hours.

Noom is ok. I like the daily lessons. The app is finicky. I have been using for 5 weeks and had a 4 day period with no new material. They couldn’t fix it. Happened again yesterday. I had to delete and reinstall.

Hi, The start was promising. I have tried to lose weight many times but not succeeded to keep it. The psychological part was great support but when I reached Play with foodie 500/500, it stopped working. Now without support 8 days so it is boring. Promised help (”its fixed now”) several times, but No Change.

I finally tried Noom after a few friends had nothing but positive things to say about their experience. I love the daily reading to help keep me focused and educated every step of my journey. My coaches are great at providing answers as needed and weekly stats to help make adjustments along the way. I have been nooming for 5 weeks and have several months before reaching my goal, but I can honestly say I don’t feel like I’m “missing out” and I see progress in a healthy way! I love it!

I needed to lose 10 lbs. I’ve lost 7 and am struggling to lose the last 3. It’s been two months. I like the Noom approach and am learning a lot. I paid for the meal plan and workout plan. However with the meal plan I was VERY disappointed to see that the calorie count is not included with any recipe! Seems like a big miss when you’re supposed to be logging your meals! The workout plan was super comprehensive but overwhelming. There are quite a few references in the curriculum to your Noom “coach”. I’ve yet to figure that out. No one has reached out to me and when I have a question, I enter it into the Chat area and it is responded to, but there’s no feeling of a personal coach or anything like that. The app is well designed. The approach is quite general however so if you are gluten intolerant or have dairy issues and other dietary challenges, you have to adjust on your own.

I am pretty familiar with a wide variety of Eating approaches. Many I have tried are successful, until they aren’t. The lack of sustainability or concerns about the lack of nutritional balance were my most common concerns. With Noom it feels like I have met a system that I can incorporate into my life, forever. The things that work for me are:
The logging system- I’ve logged my food for years (I like to know what I’m doing). The Noom logging system breaks my information into the color coded categories that make it easy to see how I’m meeting those goals.
The coaching- I enjoy the frequent check ins, getting answers to my questions and the support. While this is not a quick weight loss program, it is a lifestyle approach that I am happy with and will continue.

Noom has taught me so much about food in ways I never could have imagined. The uplifting content just makes you feel good and keeps you motivated. I know lots of the lessons already from Weight Watchers. I do like the humor used to inform and inspire me. I find it much easier to log food on the phone than on paper. Weighing in daily is probably better in the long run than weekly, but at my age and physical activity level it’s going very slow. I do feel a lack of connection to anybody else isn’t helping me.

I have enjoyed the program so far. I like having the audio play the Noom lessons but sometimes the text and audio to not match. I have not lost a ton of weight so far but I have definitely implemented some healthier habits. I also started around the holidays so maybe not a great time to try to lose weight. Not losing weight. Takes a lot of time each day to use. Foods in log often do not seem consistent or logical. Hot chocolates and oatmeals are examples that come to mind. Foods vary in color depending on how they are combined—salad, sandwich or soup listed as single item versus ingredients rather than breaking up aspects like when entering a recipe/meal item. Barcode reading does not provide correct calorie density color for the item as made—cooked oatmeal or mixed drink mix, for example. Percentage breakdown by color as the day progresses is not provided. Calories consumed is listed for green while calories remaining (assuming you eat high end of range) are listed for orange and yellow.
Planning is a hassle because I cannot easily move between multiple meals and snacks without going through excess screens. If I enter something in the wrong meal slot I can either ignore or delete and re-enter everything. While there is a progress bar at the top of the screen, it provides minimal information and I can’t touch it to get to more information or logging. It is inconvenient to always scroll down past the reading sections. Why can’t all that reading collapse into a Today’s Wisdom single line after I’ve read it. Is there a way to search what’s been read other than going back through past days and opening up various readings?
I am struggling to give this concept of consuming more calories and still losing weight but so far it is just adding work without success. Oh, it also has times when it tells me I have gone over calories and has all data skewed. Sometimes I can just close and reopen the app but other times I have to wait like fifteen minutes for it to get the data right.

So far I have enjoyed Noom. I would say it’s taking a little longer then I thought to lose weight but I have gained confidence in what I should be eating. I am going through Menopause so that has never been addressed in this journey. Any advice on that?

We always think it’s just about what’s on the plate. It’s not. Noom has allowed me to delve deeper into the WHY of everything and suddenly it all makes sense. I love that I’m not bashed up for slipping up, and because there are no restrictions, I’m actually making smarter choices. I have years of bad habits and attitude to undo, but I’ve started on the journey and it’s liberating. It’s not all serious. I’ve had quite a giggle with the daily lessons. A sprinkling of humour goes a long way. The Noom coaches are lovely and it feels good that the responses are not automated. I feel supported on my journey. Thank you so much.

I’ve used other weight loss apps and tools, this by far has been the easiest to log my daily foods. Noom groups food by color and gives you target calories for each color. This helps so much in planning your day and keep things balanced. 5 weeks in and down 13 pounds.

I don’t talk really see the point of the coaches, they don’t really communicate with me much, why am I paying for them. They respond when I ask questions but other than that what is their point? They don’t motivate me or give me advice.

I have been on Noom for 2 months and haven't been assigned a coach or a group. In addition, there are very confusing color codes for the same food, which makes it impossible to know whether a food is green yellow or orange. (And easy to "cheat"). I have corrected and entered information for numerous foods but I have yet to see any of these changes. It doesn't feel like you guys are keeping the database updated properly or reviewing the corrections/submissions. I have added a granola with all the details over a month ago and it's still not color coded, so whenever I log it, it's not allocated to any color. Pretty disappointing. Overall, I am doing everything but I feel like I am not getting what I'm paying for, all I am getting now is just the logging, and some reading material. I had higher hopes for what I'd be getting for this subscription.
Lastly, I know this would be complicated to account for, but I have been sick for the past 10 days. Which made me barely eat and I lost 4 lbs. I was very surprised to get a "kudos for eating less" from Noom when I was eating less than 1000 calories per day for so long. It almost feels counterintuitive and while I know better, I still had a feeling like I was being encouraged to eat so few calories per day... I am going to see this through, because I do that when I commit to something. But I do not feel the subscription has been worth it this far.

I requested to not renew my membership. Then I saw a renewal charge show up 10 days later on my credit card statement. I reached out numerous times to tell them I did not want this service and they would not allow me to cancel and billed me for 7 more months anyway. I told them that I wanted the cancellation immediately and not 7 months later. I told them I would even allow them to bill me for 1 full month (even though it was only 10 days later) and refund the other 6 months because I would not be using it and they still would not work with me. They keep insisting "their policy" won't allow them to refund my money even though I have told them I do not want their service! How can a company bill you in advance for a service you are telling them you do not want and will not be using? Their company policy is extreme, and I have never had a company force me to take a service I am not using and will not use. I will never use this company again due to their poor business practice. Unbelievable.

This program is easy to use and I like the self-paced courses. The foods are getting easier to identify in each of the color categories. It’s definitely helping me see where my food favorites lie. I also really appreciate the connection between habits and psychology tricks.

I’ve done nearly every weight loss program available in 25 years. I have seen immediate improvement in my behavior and weight with NOOM. I’m a pretty smart manipulator, but the psychology addresses the behavior directly and gives real life methods to overcome my brain!

I like the training. Noom lacks connection to others. No one checks in and the groups are so big that I don’t feel I know anyone. Maybe just buying a book would be better. I’m struggling but don’t feel there’s support.

I stayed with the program six months. It's not much different than other programs as far as dieting but found many of their food calories wrong as they are based what others put into the system and not accurate calorie counts and, a lot of their "lessons would contradict previous lessons. Nuts are a healthy food but don't eat them because they're red foods? Half and Half in a green food along with vegetables? My main complaint is I contacted them and canceled my subscription in June for the next year and it was automatically renewed anyway. When I contacted them they said they do not refund automatic renewals and refused to give me back $164. Lots of emails back and forth. I see they have a class action suit against them for these automatic renewals as well. It's a scam. The psychology part of the program is just an app - the coaches are just people who were on the program. Anyone can use these psychology apps for free.
Their advertisements are very misleading making you think it's all based on psychology when it's not. There's so many contradictions in these lessons it's frustrating. And, some of the lessons were just weird and not helpful at all. It's a way to keep getting money from people year after year. I shouldn't have to pay for a program I canceled and will not use. For a company that is about weight loss and ways to reduce stress so you don't overeat, they sure don't help by stealing money each year. Very poor customer service. There are better programs out there. I just want my money back and shouldn't have to pay for a program I don't want and won't use. They stole my money and surely with the millions they make can afford to return my $164. If a company acts in this matter - they're a scam as far as I'm concerned.

I was excited to start this program. I've lost weight before on my own. Just wanted to shed about 15 pounds before a vacation I'm going on so wanted some added support. I am not obese, and I exercise and am active. I am pre-menopause so my metabolism is pretty much worthless. I thought maybe I'd try a weight-loss plan like WeightWatchers or something, and stumbled onto Noom. The quiz in the beginning made me feel like - WOW I can do this - this program is going to help me get to my goal weight in less than three months! I signed up and got started - read every article they wanted me to, logged ALL of my meals, weighed myself every day... yada yada yada.
What I can tell you: Noom is not personalized. They claim you get a guide to help you, but it is just a bot. A bot that sometimes doesn't even respond. Their formula of what to eat is very broad, NOT personalized. I am gluten-free (allergy - not by choice) / vegetarian (not vegan), and cannot eat a lot of carbs so I eat dairy and vegetables and occasionally fish. This program is NOT personalized - let me reiterate. No one ever personally responded to my questions - they just sent me links to useless information about what gluten-free means. Really?
I actually really tried to follow their prescribed types of food to eat, filling up on water-filled fruits, eliminating some dairy, eating tons of salad with fat-free everything (which is so fake). Fat-free cream cheese is like plastic. The amount of fruit made me so bloated, I actually gained weight. I asked for a refund - I signed up for three months and only used three weeks. They will not refund me even though I explained about my dietary restrictions, and that this program was NOT what it is advertised to be.
They actually wanted me to celebrate when I hit a 10,000 step goal. Pu-lease. I guess the program is for couch-potatoes who thinks 10,000 steps is something to celebrate. I do not sit in front of the TV eating chips or tubs of ice cream. If that is you, then maybe this program is for you. Bottom line - don't waste your time or your money. Did you know you can track everything Noom wants you to track - FOR FREE through FitBit?

I’ve never been so heavy since starting Noom. I stick to my color food and budget and the scale keeps going up and up. I've stopped chocolate and all these junk foods and it’s worse, it’s really terrible. I did pick up some good habits like stopping fog eating but might start again to lose weight

Little changes have impacted parts of my life I didn’t expect. Because of little changes in types of food I’m eating I’ve been able to discontinue a medication for reflux. My sleeping has improved, still need to figure out the occasional awake all night ordeals but I’m pleased with the results. Started out thinking about weight loss but the other benefits have been more profound!

I’ve never been more confident in my life that I will not only reach my goal weight, but that I will not be struggling to maintain that weight… or find myself dramatically yo-yoing up and down every few years. Noom’s psychological approach works. The system is easy to follow and the app is designed well. Everything just works. I’m losing slower than I’ve lost weight in the past, but because my approach is so sustainable, I feel incredibly confident that I will reach my goal. I’ve always known that everything boiled down to moderation… but I never had a course train me to moderate in a sustainable way.
The coursework in Noom is top notch. Written in a very relatable and humorous style, based entirely on data and extensive research, and filled with helpful psychological “tricks” that the reader can immediately implement. The three-part daily routine — weigh in, log meals, read/listen to coursework — is highly effective and creates the feedback loop necessary for sustained success. I’m really thankful to have taken this leap.

Far more difficult than it was 1 year ago, can’t read posts in entirety and was much simpler before. I left for awhile and came back to lose more and not as nice as it was. Also how do I get a coach for this experience before I was put in a group with same people and had a coach. Don’t know where to find order number.

This is not an all or nothing diet plan. It keeps you accountable. You log your food to keep track of the calories. You can exercise or not, but you know it helps. There are suggestions for meals and workouts. It is a lifestyle plan so will teach you for the long run… Forever. You are in control.

Started losing. Great at first but now it’s either really slow or not moving at all. When I log my food it always looks like I am not in the “weight losing zone” but when I cut back on the high caloric foods I used to eat of course my calorie count would drop down. Got a solution???

I am in general pretty happy with Noom! I just connected with my 1 on 1 coach, so I think I’ll do even better still on this program with that level of accountability. My only two small complaints are that food I enter into the database take forever (over a month) to actually be reviewed and added which gets annoying every time I need to log that food, and I often find the same food appearing numerous times and one says it’s orange, the other days it’s yellow, and even calories are different. Oh, and I actually wish I could ready MORE each day than the “max” 13-16 mins! Which I never get to anyway, it always stops me at 10-11 mins. But I would definitely recommend Noom, especially with a 1 on 1 coach!

Noom reached out almost immediately and refunded the charge. Their website clearly states that there are no refunds so I assumed I was just out the money but they refunded anyway. I really appreciate the customer service and the quick response.

I signed up the the 7-day trial, got sick 2 days later and was unable to use it effectively. During the cancelation process, they offered me another 7 day trial which I gratefully accepted. Turns out the trial extension was only for the main subscription. They ended up charging me for the premium bundle on day 1 of the 7-day extension. It was very misleading. It is probably a great program for losing weight and building better habits but I will never know. If you are going to try it out pay close attention to the details of the subscriptions.

One of the main reasons I joined Noom was to get coaching support. The cost of the program is quite expensive for an app. I find the support is lacking and takes at minimum 24 hours to get back. I realize it is holiday season but this is when support is needed the most for some people. The lessons are great but what is the process after the lessons are done. Does it just become a meal tracking application?

I am enjoying the reading portion of the program and learning a lot. I have been open minded. I am trying to learn a new way. Noom guides were hit or miss. One day there then long pause. Then passed me to a 1:1 coach. That’s fine. Maybe they didn’t have time to resend me directions how to set up my new apple watch etc. The coaches are always nice but I have not lost weight and so am deciding to go back to meal replacements today until I do. One goal is as to eat real food to lose weight but I don’t feel I have the support to do that yet. I keep bouncing up and down on the scale and no one is there to really support with that. More up on the scale lol! I am learning some healthier habits and this is something I want to stick with for that. Maybe I can lose weight on replacements and then wean off with coaching. I don’t know.

Noom does not care about the customer's health, all they care about is how long they can keep you on the subscription. I called on behalf of my 75 year old mother who was unaware that she had the subscription on auto pay. (She’s not good with technology.) She kept getting charged $161.10 every 8 months not knowing why. This impacted her finances severely because she is currently retired and just living off social security. I (her daughter 26) called Noom customer service requesting a refund of the last charge and they refused to give the money back. The supervisor was extremely rude and just kept reading the text of their “policy and fine print” that states they are allowed to auto draft their customers. She had no remorse for the financial strain the company put my mother in. This company is heartless and does not care about your health but the money they can steal from you until you realize it.

So many problems with the app. So many things didn't work. Still can’t read full comments in the discussion group. Only the robot coach messages me and rarely at that. Setting up the fitbit was a problem. Articles froze on my second day. All of these things make the experience annoying. The idea behind the program is very good. For the price you need to hire some real programmers to work on the app!

Easy to log food. Good reminders and like the app. Easy to use and reminders don’t let you to forget about it. Weekly reviews helps me to understand what I have to improve and which areas I am doing wrong. Psychology articles are the most helpful part of the Noom. I started my weight loss journey due to health problems. I lost 40lbs on my own by eating healthy and exercising. However my progress stopped and I felt I needed a little extra help, that’s when I decided I would bite the bullet and join Noom. 2 months in and I am down another 12 lbs. Noom is something I will definitely continue doing until I reach my goal weight. I love the psychology aspect of the program. I’ve learned so much about why I eat the way I eat and how to overcome intense food cravings. I learned that a lot of the foods I was eating before joining noom weren’t quite as healthy as I had thought and weren’t the best choices when it comes to keeping me full. I was also stuck in this never ending circle of constantly criticizing myself whenever I didn’t lose pounds on the scale. In the past I would plateau, lose hope and then go back to unhealthy eating habits and ultimately gain everything back.
Now I understand plateaus better and know not to lose hope. This is the first time I have ever been able to “fall off the wagon” for the holidays or a weekend but ultimately been able to get back on. Noom has helped me understand this is a marathon not a race. Having slip ups is inevitable, being able to get back on and continue your journey is more important than focusing on your one day failure.
I rated 4 stars instead of 5 because I paid for premium however my food program didn’t follow the food restrictions I am required to follow for health reasons. I did reach out to support via email and was told in a few days it should be fixed. The problem was never fixed. I also have never been added to a group despite reaching out twice about the problem. The Canadian price of the program is much higher than the American pricing. I was very surprised to see the cost on my credit card bill after seeing the advertisement for $120 plus another $40 for the premium package, what was charged was close to $300 Canadian.
Considering the premium package content was never fixed to be geared towards a pescatarian diet which is my diet restriction I found the cost of the premium package to be a complete waste of money. In the future I will stick with the main program. Overall, despite a few disappointments the program is actually very helpful and I’ve recommended it to all of my friends that are also struggling with their weight. Great program!

They are thieves. I was charged a $170 renewal fee for an app I hadn't used in months. The subscription was good for another 4 months and they renewed it early. They won't refund me because they say I needed to dispute the charge within 5 days. They made the charge on 12/17, the Saturday before Christmas week. I was on vacation seeing my family. I wasn't even notified they put a charge through. They deliberately sent this charge on a Saturday during a vacation week and are using some loophole in the small print to not reverse the charge and steal my $170.

I joined Noom for nine months in Feb 2022. I used the app for a couple months, but felt like it wasn't working for me. In November, I got a receipt by email that they had charged me $140 for another nine months. I did not get any notification that my account was expiring and that they were going to automatically charge me. I immediately cancelled my account and contacted customer service. They will not refund me because they said I was just supposed to know. I did not know it was auto renewal. Their policy says that they will notify you before charging so you can have the option to cancel, but they did not. I don't feel I should have to pay for something that I haven't been using and that I cancelled immediately. Buyer beware!!!

I really am not interested in losing any more weight, my problem is keeping it off. I have inched up 4 pounds over the holiday. All I need is the food counter and weight apps. I don’t want all the other items. It would be helpful to have a lower rate for the items that I want. I have been using Noom a few years now just to keep weight off. Would I like to lose 25 more pounds. Yes. But At my age. I want to be able to eat things I love and I can’t do that and lose and keep off those 35 pounds so I am settling for the 30 pounds I was able to lose and want to keep it off.?

I like Noom, but have not received all of what’s part of the program and what I’m paying for. The ‘group’ function is consistently referred to in the lessons however each time the lesson tells me to ‘tell my group’ a pop-up appears saying that there is no group function. I know this is false because my father, who also has Noom, regularly uses his group function. I’ve told the Noom guides multiple times about this and nothing has changed. I don’t understand how my father and I can pay the same amount for Noom - and it’s not cheap - but not get the same functionality. I think I should either get a discount or you guys should get on your ** and fix the bug that is not allowing group functionality for some patrons.

Do not do a trial of this product. If I could give it zero stars I would. It claims to have a 14 day trial wherein you can cancel. I cancelled but they claim it was not received. Now I find that I've been billed several times for this service, without recourse to be reimbursed. This is the kind of customer service that gives free trial programs a bad name.

Recurring charges will continue after you cancel your subscription. They don't notify you any upcoming renewal charges, and when they show up on your credit card statement they claim the charge is past 14 days and they can't do anything about it. Save yourself the aggravation, it isn't worth the headache. Can't get through anyone in support on the phone, online chat just cuts and pastes their policy and is not helpful.

It’s ok. I’m still stuck at the same weight as when I started. I haven’t done a 1:1. Maybe I should. All the daily info is interesting and sometimes new. I won’t be renewing my subscription. Getting my Fitbit to sync never worked disappointing after several attempts. I like the daily weigh in and logging meals. The colors for food is mildly helpful. Not as effect as I’d hoped. I wish it were easier to keep my YBP and goals front and center on the website. I forgot them.

Noom has a lot of good material in it, but their projection for me was to lose 22 pounds over about nine weeks, and I will be lucky if I lose 10. Much of it doesn’t apply to me because I don’t do the shopping or the cooking, but I can see that many people would benefit from the tips in those areas. Despite disappointing results, I would certainly recommend the program for others.

I absolutely love and absolutely hate this program. LOVE— the lessons are amazing. I don’t feel like I’m dieting and I’m losing weight. I feel totally motivated after almost two months. HATE— coaching and circles are not good. THE ABSOLUTE WORST is the database— it is a hot mess— for example, I’m trying to track polenta today— comes up green, yellow, and orange. How is that possible??? This is going to be the straw that makes me cancel the service when it comes up for renewal. This seriously needs work.

I’m not really sure what to make of it. Noom hasn’t proven very effective. I can’t tell exactly how they plan to add value to my life or help me lose weight. Not sure how these lessons are effective or what I really need to do to lose weight. I think if I don’t listen to Noom, and limit certain foods and eat way less than the suggested amount I’d be better off. Going to keep trying this out.

None of these items are making sense. I can look for frozen shrimp in there and it’ll say orange or yellow and look at another frozen shrimp and it’s green. Vinegar is yellow or orange, which makes no sense to me. I’m just beyond frustrated that I paid so much for an app that should be teaching me HOW to eat (color guide for foods) and when they don’t make any sense, I’m learning nothing other than to be eating 1k calories or less per day. THAT is how I’m losing weight so far, not by learning which foods are high in CD. I’m just extremely frustrated. My 1:1 coach just says to keep entering foods so the app can get better. This is NOT what I thought I was paying for. I’m extremely disappointed.

Your search for food is often wrong. When you enter your meals it doesn’t allow to enter lunch and dinner at one time. It backs you out. When you’re in the search once you add one item it takes you out of the search. Let me stay on those screens until I wanna back out of it. Same thing with the saved dishes screen. You need to allow people to change their account ability buddy. Not showing your weight loss when you enter is a HUGE miss. When I enter my weight it should track my overall weight loss. So if I’m up it still reminds me that overall I’m still down. I have also never been added to a group and I’ve been doing this for about 8 weeks or so.

I like the program, with the exception of a few weird things, like difficulty entering multiple meals quickly. But generally the content is great, and very helpful. You no longer have 1:1 coaching support or get assigned to a group, which doesn’t help with the journey and you’re left to do it all on your own. It doesn’t feel personalized and the lessons keep praising you even though you are not succeeding so it doesn’t feel genuine or relatable.

I have been on Noom for about a little over two weeks. I will lose and then I go back up to my regular weight. Back and forth. I am not a big eater and very seldom get all my calories in. I know I need to eat more green foods. If someone would tell me exactly what to eat I would eat it. I have a thyroid problem and a fluid retention problem. I am 72 yrs old. Someone needs to help me but I already paid about 189 and I don’t want to pay more until I complete these months.

I am learning a lot from Noom but I wish I had more support than I am getting. I lost a little bit of weight but now I’m gaining it back so that’s not great either. I really wanted to be part of a group but was told there’s a hold on that for now. Meh. I can’t really recommend it right now.

I’m sure this works for some but this was not right for me. First of all- you barely hear from “coaches”. Maybe once every week if you’re lucky. And I’ve had to hound them sometimes for any kind of a response. You’re also supposed to be part of a group for coaching as well and you never get it. So don’t be fooled! Every day I get a message saying “we’re working on setting up your group”. But nothing ever happens. Basically there’s almost zero value in this app and they charge a lot. You can do better with the free apps for food tracking (and all the other tracking as well). The meal and workout plan are totally not worth it either. I went for the premium because I knew I needed ls help with meals and workouts. But trust me- no value in this. The workout is just a pdf. You can get better stuff from YouTube. And the articles they have you read is again info available for free online. I want led to love this program but I just don’t.

I of course heard of Noom from advertising on TV, social media but my greatest awareness of the program was the results I saw from friends! They talked positively about Noom. My own experience has been great. I enjoy checking off my weigh in, water consumption, and steps. I see when the scale stays the same it’s usually because of my choices or lack of movement! I can count on my guides and the literature provided to help me understand where I am and why. I wish I had a better list of food catalogues to make better choices. I like that I am learning and exploring healthier eating and life habits, pillars!

Though learning a lot, I’ve experienced no significant weight loss and am and disappointed in myself. Recording my daily intake of food tends to increase the amount I take and then obsess about food and then I eat more. Not sure how to adapt the program to fit my needs.

NOOM is a scam, if you cancel, they charge you anyway and say the cancelation process wasn't complete, sorry! Hello, my name is Sheila and I followed the plans, answered all the common sense questions and filled out the mountains of forms and after 5 months, I didn't lose any weight. Noom could check my app progress and see everything. I told my coach that I kept getting covid19, I had it 7 times and I wasn't losing any weight. All the gyms were closed so I couldn't go to the gym, I live in Colorado and can't go out in the winter. This app is Not geared to anyone who CAN NOT exercise daily! I am partially disabled and go to a pain clinic monthly. I asked her to cancel my subscription.
She asked if I just wanted to put it on hold. I told her no, NOOM wasn't a good fit for me. Lo and behold, they charged me for another 10 months, $189.00. I contacted customer service and she kept sending me long texts that they already had typed out. In other word, form letter answers. Do not join Noom but if you do, make sure you change your credit card number before the end of your membership, just in case! I took screenshots of the whole conversation and will be talking to my Credit Union tomorrow to dispute the transaction!
NOOM will be the next RIHANNA CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT! Rihanna's clothing line did sketchy business and now she has to pay back $1,000,000.00 of dollars!Look up; the fashion law Rihanna's savage x fenty to pay 1.2 million to settle consumer protection lawsuit. What they are doing is illegal and I will fight tooth and nail for my money!

The color coding of foods I find very confusing, the coach has not been terribly helpful, Part of the experience is sharing and learning from a group and I am halfway through the program and still don’t have a group assigned to me. At this point, the only helpful thing has been the articles and psych tricks otherwise… it has been a dissatisfying and frustrating experience.

I have lost 9lbs so far with Noom and my husband has lost 20lbs. He started before me and recommended it. Noom renewed my plan without warning and charged my credit card they had on file. When I question why they did this they stated they can't issue refund because I didn't respond before they renewed the plan. They never told me that my plan needed was about to be renewed. Be warned. Also, the plan although effective didn't work as well as they state. I followed it faithfully but never even came close to the goal they said I would reach. Once again, be warned. Their business practices are questionable.

At first I was doing really well keeping track on Noom. I like the interface as well. I wish there were videos and maybe zoom meetings where we could talk about the weight loss journey. This is built nicer than other online apps.

I’m not going to lie, losing weight is HARD WORK! But so far, about a month in, I’m staying focused on my goals and I am seeing results. I think what’s working is the commitment to weigh every day, to read and digest and process all the info (sometimes tricky when you’ve got a busy day ahead). The continuous reassurance that this is about long term habit changing and not about fast wins. The acknowledgement that there are highs and lows in the process and not to see weight loss as an all or nothing state - those are some big topics to get your head around! There is an extremely lengthy signup process with a lot of questions. Pretty early on in the questions it ask if you would like to do a 7-day trial and it allows you to select the amount you'd like to pay the trial. Somewhere in the million questions there is another question that asks if you would like to sign up for the subscription (in more words). I realized this after they charged me $200.34. Why on earth would they ask you those two questions? My thinking was after the trial period I would if I didn't cancel within 7 days. Nope! It was as if the 7-day trial question was voided. They know exactly what they're doing and I'll never look into them again. For the record, my bank caught the transaction and I declined the charge but now I don't have a debit card because my bank marked it as fraudulent.

I rejoined about a month ago looking for extra support through the holidays. I didn’t expect new content and didn’t see any, and that’s okay. The content is well-written and revisiting it is a necessary refresher. The main thing I was looking forward to was the support of a group, but it turns out that groups aren’t available. Every day that goes by with a lesson that tells me to go share something with my group causes just a little more frustration and decreased my engagement. Coach is useful but not something that can fill in for a group. I am reluctant to share anything personal with them because the response I receive is formulaic and more about fixing things than about getting to know me, validating and truly supporting.

The lessons prompt “Hey, tell your group about this”… I would love to, except two weeks later I’m still not in a group. Poor when I'm still paying the full amount.

I have been using Noom for six weeks now. I really like the psychology behind the program and I feel like the app is a great interface. I tried the one on one coaching, but did not find it particularly helpful for me, others might feel differently. The biggest problem I am having with Noom is that after a week or two you are supposed to be added to a group, a support group. Every day lessons that you do ask you to share with the group and for weeks now Noom keeps saying, “Hang on tight. Will add you soon“. I have never been added and it has been six weeks now. It feels like I’m missing part of the program as their reference is asking me to participate in this group is daily. I hope they get this problem straightened out but I don’t seem to have any way to fix it myself.

Although I am not technically losing weight, I have done so in the past on this program. I count on having a guide to keep me on track with several things. Since Covid began I got in the habit of sitting around the house a lot. My Noom guides have got me out of the house and going on one of my favourite walks. Also just being encouraged to track my food every day is a good self awareness tool. I try to stay within my calorie limits but of course don’t always make it. Also the program is very positive and encouraging for living a good life in general.

I started Noom just 6 weeks ago and have lost 13 lbs! I have no doubt I will reach my goal on their predicted date! The program is easy to follow and I believe it will be sustainable! After eating I’m rarely hungry! It’s nice to see I can still eat what they refer to as orange foods and still lose the weight! Love a good salad but pasta is my weakness and I have not eliminated it from my diet!

I was a bit skeptical not ever trying a weight change app or program. I thought how much can a program really do for me. I appreciate all the tools and how Noom is helping me to change my mindset about food. In my younger years I was all about low carb/intermittent fasting, but honestly at 60 I found those things just don’t seem to work anymore. Noom presents itself as a tool where you can easily log food. I really like the idea behind it, the psychology, mindset, and the three colours for food. However, coming from the Netherlands, the tool doesn’t recognise any of our foods. Keeps asking to add the food manually (which costs a lot of time), and after adding manually, it doesn’t know whether it’s green, yellow or orange. I notice that I don’t have the time to log everything manually and if I do, it also doesn’t give me insight on what I’m eating. I feel a bit disappointed to be honest.

I signed up for Noom 6 months to try it. After a couple months it was not helping me so I stopped using the app. I forgot about the automatic renewal until I received a charge for $160. There was no email or any other notice that the charge was coming or I would have cancelled it. I contacted Noom support and three different agents basically sent me their canned response of “too bad, so sad” you cannot have a refund. I am not using their service but they have no problem keeping my money.

Reading information very useful. I like to have access to calories intake and color coded analysis, food log, weight log and exercise log. Couple of disappointments the application are that it does not seem it was developed to be used with smaller phone such as iPhone 8 as some information from the weekly report is missing and, we can only use it from one device, contrary to other applications such as Strava.

I’m very disappointed with Noom, I subscribed 29th October and I haven’t lost any weight since 10th October, despite being within my daily goals and exercising. I expected coaching and there has been none, a few messages but nothing helpful. Noom publicizes all the wonderful success stories of people losing weight with Noom after trying lots of other diet methods and it’s just not true.

The program has its merits. It's a decent food log if you have time and desire for that. It's tedious looking up foods and guessing your portion size. Wasn't for me. NO email warning of impending renewal. "No refunds" is the company line. I cancelled and deleted account the day my bank notified me I was drafted. Called Noom for refund since program wasn't for me. No refunds on renewals. So money was taken from me for a service I didn't want and now cannot access because I deleted my account. Be careful when doing business with this company.

Like many others, I went into this open minded but realized after some time that this wasn't for me, as I felt I could achieve most of what was being offered through self education and diligence. Unfortunately, to give it a chance and to get the savings, I had signed up for six months. Whether I had forgotten or was unaware there was an auto renewal is on me, but there was absolutely no warning or notification from Noom that this auto renewal would occur soon without my intervention. And this is my complaint. This is a business practice that is gaining traction, designed solely to profit from the inattention or distraction of the customer. Why does it cost so much less for a year subscription? Because they're banking that in a year you will forget or, as in my case, be distracted by the holidays, and they can pop you with an auto renewal with absolutely no prior notification.
I knew nothing until notified by PayPal that almost $170 had been extracted from my bank account for a program I had no idea I was still subscribed to. Upon my immediate cancellation, they wasted no time with a bot mail, informing me that they do not offer refunds, regardless that I wasn't even five minutes into the next six-month term. Merry Christmas! I contacted them anyway, crickets. I have since sent another email via another channel, complained in a post program survey, and completed this review. The program itself may or may not be effective for you, but the business profit model appears suspect, if not shady.

I feel safe using Noom; the rules are clear without being constrictive. If I have a concern, I can message my query. I'm trying new foods, concentrating on green options, and eating fruit every day. I plan ahead, cooking 4-5 fish meals to freeze and ensuring there are frozen veg choices.

While the product is very good its business practice is very shady. My 10 months subscription ended and I forgot that there was an auto-renewal when I signed up. Noom WILL NOT REFUND even 1 day after.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I tried Noom for the free trial but at that point I was desperate. When I began reading my articles, it felt like they were written for me! I started Noom on a bit of a whim. It just kind of popped into my mind one day. A friend of mine several years ago he told me about how he lost a bunch of weight on Noom and was able to keep it off. It’s been years since he lost the weight and he has still kept it off. Growing up I never like that my mom dieted nonstop. I was always being told that I looked just like her, and it never seemed like she was satisfied with her body. That hurt my feelings.
As an adult I promised I wouldn’t do that. I wouldn’t diet at all the time and never be happy with the way I look, and for the most part, I have remain confident in myself even at my heaviest weight. But after I had my first child, I began to have a lot of different health problems, and even though I know the weight didn’t cause the health problems I could tell that my weight was slowing me down. And so when Noom popped into my mind, I looked it up. I read a little bit about what it was and thought the model seem sustainable and focused on improving my Health not my appearances. Well I’m about a month in now, I’m down 10 pounds and I’m constantly learning more about how to live and move and eat and healthier lifestyle with sustainable habits and occasional times or treating myself.
I’m feeling confident in the progress I’m making towards a longer and healthier life and I feel like I am sleeping better and I have more energy. I want to be around for a long time, and I want to have the energy to run and chase my toddler and to pick him up and twirl him around. And Lord willing, I wanna have the energy to do that with my grandchildren one day too. I’m going to keep plugging along my Noom journey and I’m hopeful, healthier horizons are ahead.

I am very happy with Noom. I have a great guide named Tyler. Love tracking my steps and exercise. I feel like I have way more energy and I’m sleeping way better. I would absolutely recommend this plan to my friends and having it covered by insurance assures me that this is a legitimate plan. How I feel makes it even more legitimate. I found NOOM to be helpful for a short period of time, quickly learned that much of the lessons and plans I had already implemented. After 3 months, I cancelled on the APP. Or so I thought. I knew that there was no pro-ration, and it would end 11/28/2022. I did not receive an email they sent a month ago (due to 100's of marketing emails I now receive to same inbox) and was charged for another year. I quickly contacted customer service, it was within 10 minutes of the PayPal charge. No Refund. It's Policy. BE CAREFUL when you cancel, screenshot. Remove pay method. Terrible policy, I will never use Noom again, and will NOT recommend it to family or friends just due to this treatment, not the actual program.

Noom didn't work for me. It's basically a calorie counter and some articles that you can find online. One of their "counselors" contacted me a few times to say "good job" then I never heard from her again. It stopped working on my phone a few years ago so I stopped using it. Big mistake. It auto-renews at more than $200 a year and they won't let you cancel when you get the bill. You need to cancel 6 months in advance and they don't email to remind you. I finally have the subscription cancelled but they won't refund the money because it isn't their policy. I've lost more than 10 pounds doing intermittent fasting which is free. Buyer beware.

Then it auto-renews four months later when you've long since forgotten about it and they absolutely refuse to refund your money even if you cancel that same day. Obviously, it's their business plan to pick your pocket for as long as possible.

I have been using Noom for 5 weeks now. Whereas I like the app and the way it is helping learn about nutrition and habits, I’ve had little to no contact from a “coach”. Also, some of the mini lessons ask you to share commitments with your group. When I do that I get a pop up stating something about my group still being assembled. I sent a message asking about that three days ago and haven’t heard anything back from anyone. So if you are looking for accountability with a coach or group, I would dissuade you from using Noom. If you are comfortable and able to work alone and stay motivated and/or disciplined, Noom could be useful.

I’m totally satisfied with this program. It’s pretty easy to use and I find the articles interesting and helpful. I have made progress with my weight loss and it’s been only a month. Noom is a restrictive diet platform that hasn’t helped me personally. I’ve been on the program for two months and haven’t lost a pound. There’s nothing innovative about the platform, and logging food is actually harder than other diet apps. You also can’t track nutrients, so if you’re interested in trying a different approach, like tracking protein or carbs or fat, you can’t do that on Noom. The personal coaches sounded great, but in reality they don’t do anything personalized - they aren’t looking at food logs or activity and making suggestions. They just send platitudes of lukewarm encouragement.

I really like the psyche tricks & tips. The content is excellent & the sequencing is on point for the experience. The app on the IPhone does not allow for zooming of the size of font is very small. Also when you want to share a lesson it only allows you to share the one page screen view. Very annoying when you want to share the concepts w/ your significant other as they support you.

I expected to receive a notice from this company when renewal billing was due. Evidently, it is totally acceptable to not even give you a notice or a receipt. A charge posted on my account from Noom for 179.00. I canceled my subscription and contacted them within THE SAME DAY the charge (without notice) was charged to request a refund. I have never dealt with a company like this. I emailed customer service and was basically told to fly a kite and that my “ticket” was closed. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Feels like they are attempting to trick you into staying on by giving no advance notice of billing. If their program is so great, they should not have to SNEAKILY bill people to stay in business.

I can’t view past a week's worth of food data that I’ve been inputting. Limits the calorie target adjusting. Difficult to get the source of the nutritional information that has been added- crowdsourced seems potentially inaccurate. I want to know it’s been verified. I feel inspired by the knowledge I learn and have been diligently logging my food, water, weight and exercise. I’ve built some healthy habits however my progress has been very slow and results are scarce. I’m not disheartened, it’s been a few months now and I have signed up for a year. I’m hoping to see some better results over the coming months. It’s very convenient to use and educational, it’s interesting and I find myself counting calories when I’m in public and generally being more careful. I think increasing my exercise and movement is the next big step, I’ve signed up for regular dance classes so that’s a few extra hours a week. Looking forward to reaching my goal and even though progress is slow I’m remaining steadfast and hopeful. Thanks.

I enrolled in Noom in May, 2022. I was notified that the app would renew in 6 months. I followed the program for 2 months and actually gained weight. I never got a personal coach and realized after the trial period that the data would not sync between my iPad and iPhone. I switched to My Fitness Pal and it is a much better fit for me. I forgot about Noom until I got notice of a $160 charge to my credit card (November, 2022), renewing Noom through May, 2023. There was no advance courtesy notice advising me of the upcoming renewal. I contacted Noom immediately, assuming that they would reverse the charge. Two Noom customer service agents basically said “tough luck”. I’m stuck paying for 6 months of an app I cannot use. Noom apparently has no interest in customer satisfaction. Consumers beware of Noom!

Noom is a company that practices dirty tactics and grows with bad revenue. Don't get scammed like I did. I originally subscribed to a 1 year plan on Noom, I cancelled the auto-renewal before the end of the year was over BUT I was charged anyway, almost $300 CAD. I made a complaint to their customer support within 24hrs, but they REFUSED to refund me. I have now taken up the issue by disputing via PayPal.

This is that this is what I’ve been looking for and what I really needed. You say I’ve been dieting since I was 14 years old and dieting is OK. You can lose weight but maintaining it is the big issue and so far I’ve learned a lot about myself as to why I do the things I’ve done in the past and I have some amazing tools to help me moving forward. I’m not out of the woods yet. I still have a long way to go right now. I’m in the plummeting stage. I’ll come out of that. I’m not gonna stop logging. I wish I had a stronger coach to guide me but I do have quizzes to take every day articles to read, it’s like having my own psychiatrist in my phone. Lol I really love Noom.

I tried Noom and wasn’t impressed with it so I deleted the app and forgot about. The whole system is geared towards taking tests. Tests are great but what does repeated testing of topics already covered have to do with weight loss? I had signed up for 6 months I believe which seemed pricy to start with. After about 3 months I realized how ridiculous the whole concept is. I didn’t ask for any type of refund, I just stopped using. Imagine my surprise when my bank notified me that I had been charged another $150 for Noom. Ok, so unbeknownst to me at the time I signed this is a subscription which means they will continually try to gouge the consumer for money so you can take more tests.
Why do I say this is a scam? They want people to forget they have the subscription. I was never notified that anything was being renewed. I have 2 emails. I checked the recently deleted and junk bins for both emails. At no point did I receive any sort of notification. I immediately contacted the company and asked that they cancel the account and refund my money. This was the day the charge was taken from bank account. Their response was just to say they were sorry but no refunds. Seriously??? Extremely poor customer service. Beware. Do NOT give these people your banking info.

I joined under their free trial. After using it I felt like I was not ready to commit in the free week. I went to cancel because I wasn’t sure it was the right fit for me. At that time I was offered a free extra week. I accepted the offer and got an email with a new date to be charged. Well they charged me at a week anyway. So why offer an extra free week. It was a bait and switch scam and then I was worried they would charge me again at the end of my “extra free week” so watch out for this scam. They charge you when they feel like it and I guess they hope you don’t notice. I then had to waste my time to try to get a refund and now I have to wait 2-3 days to get my money back that they shouldn’t have taken in the first place.

I found the Noom app to be just like My Fitness Pal but with a lot of fluff. They claim to add in psychology but their approach felt very clumsy and awkward as well as a lot of fanfare. Might be good for some people, wasn't my thing after trying for a month. I paid for 6 months but stopped using after 1. Another issue came up as they autocharged me for another 6 months and at 3 times the price. They knew I hadn't logged into the app for 5 months. I went in and cancelled and they offered me a monthly payment option if I stayed on which I declined. The poor thing was they still would refund any of the payment even I agreed to the 1 month payment calming their was no way to do it. I had to go through my CC company to decline the charge. For a company that claims they love working with people they are pretty hard to deal with and unreasonable. Another example of companies just caring about the cash and hiding behind the marketing.

I lost a lot of weight. Hit a plateau and I’m stuck there. New programming sure does have a lot lacking. I cannot log my steps. I have to go to exercise and walking to do it then my exercising is not listed. I do a lot of yardwork and miscellaneous work around the house. My coach is very little help. Noom is great in many ways. It's fun, witty, educational, and not pushy. It has a great community of people for support and I love the easy recipes! It makes your weight loss journey less lonely. However, beware 1st time subscribers. They will not send you a reminder in advance for annual renewal. Instead, you'll just get a receipt the day before your renewal date and no way to get a refund if you didn't plan on renewing. If you happen to be in a situation where you needed to pause the renewal due to financial reasons, you're SOL. They do send you a super friendly sorry, not sorry email though.
So Noom, great program, decent app (still needs work/fine tuning), but it lost me at the shady renewal practices. I had planned on coming back after a pause, but it really makes me feel icky how sneaky they are when it comes to renewal. At least give customers a 5 day heads up so they have a choice to continue the program or not. Personally, this is a deal breaker for me, but in complete honesty, I did enjoy the program, but I'm disappointed in the business practice of billing with zero notification.

I’m very happy with my NOOM experience. I’ve been losing some weight, but more importantly have been learning how to think more appropriately about food. My coach is helpful. My only complaint is the app, which isn’t very efficient. It’s supposed to sync with Fitbit, but doesn’t; food logging is not efficient either, especially for someone who doesn’t eat out. I’ve used popular and very good app for years so perhaps my comparison is unfair.

I have always received notice from this company when renewal billing was due. Evidently, this practice no longer exists. A charge posted on my account from Noom for 133.00. I contacted them within a 24 hour period to request that my subscription be canceled and to request a refund. I have never dealt with a company like this. I spoke with customer service and to a supervisor. When I spoke with the supervisor, I was told she was the highest authority I could speak with. She would not let me speak to anyone else. I told her I was sure there was someone that signed her checks.
Noom is totally unwilling to refund my charge for service that I haven't even begun to use. I would have accepted the fact if I had contacted them during the service period. This company claims transparency. Don't count on it. They are as unethical as they come. I have come to find out that I am not the only person this has happened to as I have checked other business reporting agencies.

I absolutely love this program and is my first go to each morning. For the first time I don’t feel I am “dieting” and still enjoy my favourite treats without feeling guilty. I’m enjoying the new recipes and new foods. The challenge of creating meals around the food colors is really enjoyable. I also look forward to reading the great information provided each day. So far the only recommendation I would make is a separate program for the retired sector. Our lifestyle is different than the suggested advice for the 30 plus working client daily with children. My coach Theresa is great and I enjoy my team.

It’s hard for me to stay motivated by myself on here, I’m very ADHD and if it’s out of sight it’s out of mind, I don’t always remember to log my food or end my day and that is a bad mark in this program, so it has a negative impact on me because that whole day feels like a failure if all goals aren’t completed.

I have never before embarked on a guided weight loss program and have been amazed at how successful it is! I’ve been lucky enough not to have to worry about my weight until recently, but getting older and lockdown have led to me finding that I just couldn’t fit into most of my clothes. I just didn’t feel like me anymore. It was a case of taking control or a new wardrobe. My daughter’s wedding next year is a major incentive.
Noom is all about establishing new habits and examining relationship with food. It all makes sense and it really works! I’ve found logging my weight daily (yes there are ups as well as downs) and my meals - this really concentrated the mind - has helped me to lose about half a kilo a week, which is sustainable. I don’t feel hungry. I’m eating better, but there are no foods that are off limits and my clothes fit better.

My goals were to learn how to lose weight and maintain. I did have success in learning behaviorally about my eating habits. I have not had success in losing weight. I got a coach who isn’t providing me what I was looking for. I’m not sure if I’m responsible for the “lack” of satisfaction or the program or the program. My son was very happy with Noom.

Honestly I’ve found the adding weight, food and doing reading straightforward and valuable. Sadly I have been under the weight loss zone constantly and haven’t lost anything. Coaching wasn’t obvious and I still don’t think I have a group, but I’m losing motivation because things aren’t working.

Since writing this review, the company has issued a refund for the auto-renewal I did not want. Although I didn't ask for it, they also refunded the $49. I am upgrading my rating.

A simple Google search and you will see that they have had to pay $56 million in lawsuits to customers who have been subjected to their shady auto-renewal/no-refund policy. I don't know that anything has changed because I was just charged $128 via auto-draft to renew a subscription I don't want. I contacted them immediately and they cheerfully say "too bad, no refund". So this is the second time I've paid $128. The first time, I was happy to and I don't blame anyone else that I only used the 6-month subscription for a short time. I do feel I was suckered into paying $46 extra for some-such unnecessary thing and I'll just be mad at myself for that one. But after so many months of no activity, without any e-mail to alert you it is coming they auto-draft your bank account.
This is why it is mandatory that, to sign up initially, you must set it up for auto-drafts. They say it is to ensure no interruption to your account, but in reality they know that most people drop off of weight loss programs and this method, however devious, brings them lots of ill-gotten dollars. I dropped off because I could no longer stand the tedium of logging all my meals. I got the gist; eat foods with low caloric density. I didn't need 6 months to learn that, let along a whole year. Also, the personal coach? Never heard from one. As I recall, going back months, I filled out the questions so that the right coach could be assigned, but never heard from one. I could have been a squeaky wheel over that but, as I said, I felt that I could change my habits on my own and I did. What they are doing is wrong and even if I did want to try the program again, I just can't stand giving money to a company that steals from people. That's not dramatic. It's exactly what they do.

Every bit counts at this time of year, and I felt foolish about the whole situation. I deleted my account prior to the new billing cycle; Noom's response -"Since the account deletion option sets your subscription to cancel at the end of the billing cycle, a refund isn't automatically issued upon the deletion of the account." So, I was billed for a six months period that I will not use because I already canceled and deleted my account. They did not offer an alternative - I asked that they bill me for the month and refund me the remaining five months. They refused. I had been a big fan of the service and recommended it to friends and family. I'm very disappointed. So, they got me for six months - I will never use the service again and will continue to share my story with others, so they do not get hustled as I did.

I really love the product and the little lessons that you receive each day. But disappointed in the one on one service they offer. I’ve been on the program for about a month now and as yet no personal service has been offered. If you are looking for a generic weight loss tracking app this is great but don’t expect the personal touch. I also feel like the calorie counter is a bit off on a lot of food items, I have tried to ask them to correct but it’s never been done.

It took me almost 6 weeks to start losing weight. It’s helping me to be more mindful and learn how to break bad habits. It’s a journey and not a quick fix. I do wish there was a way to sync my Apple Watch with it though to more accurately log steps and workouts.

Noom has made my relationship with food significantly better. Before Noom, I was doing the classic yo-yoing diets of losing then gaining weight. However, I am able to understand why I eat the way I do, how to improve my eating habits, not feel guilty about eating, etc. It is such a simple concept that is easy to follow through. I have seen a tremendous weight loss of 20 pounds in just 3 months, and I’m keeping it off! I still enjoy glasses of wine on the weekends, Ferraro roche chocolates/shortbread cookie once a day, and having my weekly cheat meal.
Weight loss is truly a psychological journey, and Noom 1:1 coaches have been so supportive through it. Even after I get to my goal weight (which I feel confident will happen as predicted on the app), I will continue to use the program to maintain a healthy relationship with food. My only regret is not using this app earlier! FYI: Noom is only one part of the journey. The rest is sleeping 6-8 hours, walking 10k steps/day, drinking 80oz water/day, eating in a caloric deficit, and 5-6 days of strength training. It’s a hard road to go down, but you will see results 110%.

Noom markets itself as an App that uses psychological principles to help with weight loss. I’m a clinical psychologist and I would say that it uses very very basic self help principles and is not helpful to individuals who need tailored and meaningful support. What helps me most is accurate tracking of meals and workouts, etc. Their app has basic food tracking but very unhelpful for individuals who have diverse ethnic diets. Also I use MyFitnessPal every day (a technique that has helped me lose weight in the past) and although they sync with the app the only information accounted for on their app is calories. None of my micros and macros move over (which I find to be more helpful markers) and it doesn’t translate into their color coding system. It’s just not helpful.
The only ‘accountability’ you get as a paying member is emails and texts from your ‘coach’ that are clearly not tailored or personal… most Likely a bot or someone that has formulaic responses to provide. The articles are very very basic and based on self help jargon that can be found on the web for free. Disappointed consumer and already canceled my membership. Wish it lived up to the actual hype of accountability and helpful psychological tips for weight loss. Also with our modern tech and apps I’m surprised at how unsophisticated their app is for documenting nutrition and exercise.

You asked me to tell you why I dropped Premium. I like regular Noom and enjoy the daily reading. I don’t want a meal plan. I thought the exercise program would be more interactive and specific. I didn’t expect to get a 1 time PDF of exercises. I see no reason to pay you for either of those things. Noom keeps talking about a group and a contact person. I have neither of those things. How do I get that? I’m watching what I eat and the calories you suggest but the weight is certainly moving at a snail’s pace.

This is my second time trying the Noom program. Although I haven’t lost a ton of weight with Noom this time I vowed to be more involved and really pay attention to the messages and lessons. I log my meals every day and I have started to change my relationship with food. It’s like a weight has been lifted by not needing to label things or stress about not having an option to eat (I did keto for over a year). After a week into my free trial I still have no idea how Noom helps people to lose weight. You track your weight and the foods you eat but nothing helps you to make healthier choices. I was expecting some kind of progress bar or graph or something that would show me how well I was sticking to my plan but the only thing you get is your foods places into a color category which is on a page hidden behind where you do the logging. There’s no exercise goals other than a step count. No concern for how much sugar or carbs are in those “green” foods. If the only thing that makes one food better than another is how much water is in it, can’t I just eat whatever I want whenever I want and just make sure to drink a bunch of water with everything? I don’t get it and I don’t feel that my health has changed whatsoever. I canceled the program.

I really like how aware I am becoming of how much preservatives (prepackaged) food I am eating. Noom tells how important fresh natural food is for the users. I may not be losing the weight I thought I would but I am changing what I eat and what foods I buy at the grocery store. Noom has been life-changing. I turned to Noom during the pandemic in March 2020. Noom helped me change my lifestyle. Through Noom I have lost and kept off 40 pounds. I am now doing the Stress course after I graduated from the Food course. The techniques are helping me deal with past trauma and stressors. I have recommended to several people at work and church after they have seen the change in me.

I contracted Noom desperate to lose some weight, in the beginning I read everything and seems helpful but after a few it look repetitive and the program seemed not as helpful as before. So I stopped using it even though I bought an annual subscription. Well came. The year and I got charged again $225. I immediately contact them to cancel and honestly ask for a refund as I wanted to cancel the service, haven’t use it for 6 months. Cancelation and contacting was made only a few hours ágüese they charge me the full annual fee. Well their answer is, "Oops sorry we won’t give you a refund, even if you cancel." Nothing so I am supposed to pay $225 for a few hours of this year service, no options but pay. It is shameful that a company like this is not willing to honor their clients. I really can’t believe it. So unless you are willing to take the risk of getting rip off at the first turn I will stay away from Noom and go with other options, any better than this.

Coach/guidance is NOT helpful and it’s rare that she responds. I have been working this program religiously, staying within my caloric budget, and completing lessons. Still have yet to lose weight and/or receive additional support. I paid an excessive amount of money for this program and have yet to see something beneficial come from it. I don’t understand why my food log suddenly disappeared. That is the one thing I really enjoy using. Can anybody look into this for me? I also don’t know what my order number was. So far it’s ok. I find the food log a bit annoying that I can't pre-enter my food for the next day because I’ve already prepared my meals. I also wish you can fix the app so that I don't always have to go back to the main page to log every meal. Sometimes if I forget to log a meal, I want to log it all together, but I keep on having to go back to the main page.
I think you should introduce group sooner because my coach only responds once a day which is frustrating. Whereas you need the most support when you first start so you don't give up. Please don't offer one on one coaching if the coach isn't going to respond more than once a day. It’s not worth it. Last thing, I keep hearing from face group for members who are on maintenance, they want access to articles, or have their pedometer hooked up. Why not offer a reduce rate membership where members can join maintenance groups to support each other, or keep the group going and remove the coach in there? Etc.

I tried Noom and paid a 6 month cost. I stopped after about 2 months. I did not like the barrage of emails, texts, etc and it simply overwhelmed me. Fast forward to today, I received a PayPal notification charging me for a 6 month subscription-$134! No email warning me of this transaction. I thought I was being scammed. I immediately went into my app and canceled my subscription. After multiple interactions, Noom will not refund my money and shut my subscription down because they “do not issue refunds on renewals”. So now I paid for another 6 months that I didn’t want and had an unexpected transaction on my bank account. They don’t care. They said the original email from signup 6 months ago is where I was told when the next payment would be. Seriously?? I’m supposed to remember that!
I should have stuck with Weight Watchers. Their customer service is SO MUCH BETTER! Shame on you, Noom!

I joined Noom because I was feeling out of control and felt uncomfortable doing activities I formerly enjoyed. My closet held less and less options! I liked the long-haul lifestyle change approach! The information and articles provide me with the information needed for a mind shift. The shoe dropped when I realized food was my solution to other issues. Things are going well and the Noom tools are helping. Journaling and the food analysis piece are vital to my success. I’m learning to have smaller portions of orange foods and to include them as I work my way down to size!

Good overall. Readings are too cutesy for my taste but I like the advice and accountability of weighing, tracking, etc. Coaching seems minimal and impersonal and I’d like more that is focused on my personal experiences.. I have had slow but steady success and learned some things. Advice seems to get redundant in spots. Is there a maintenance group? Not a lot of price transparency so I’m confused about that. Also app is a bit wonky— like says I’ve achieved 30% of goal today when I’m less than 2 pounds from goal and have lost almost 15#.

I am 5 weeks into my Noom journey and loving it. The weight loss is slow and steady but the learning is fast and life changing. The Psychology behind the system is brilliant and paced perfectly…. I’m so surprised how much Noom is positively impacting my life. I am so grateful I found this programme

No follow up or support from my coaches. No follow up if I miss days despite setting up in the system for a reminder. Technical issues with the app which reset all my course progress to the start again and was never resolved. Not happy this time around.

All of my course data is lost. As is my course progress. Additionally, I do better losing weight when I’m NOT constantly focused on food and losing weight - I’ve been doing this for several weeks and I’m down a net of less than a pound. I’m not sure this is the right solution for me. And the technology does not appear to be stable.
