I joined on a whim as I needed to try something different to help me head back to a healthier happier place. So far so good, learnt a lot about my patterns and relationship with food. I’ve made steady progress which has helped me understand my relationship with food and I’ve lost 7lbs to date. What I’ve gained is so much more, practical tips to break habits, insight and encouragement to understand it’s not just about the scales, this is about my relationship with my thoughts and feelings and full of revelations that will help me get to the long term goal.
It’s practical and helpful guiding through stages, providing tools along the way, I’m eating better I’ve much more insight and more importantly I am focused and realistic about my journey to better health. I find the one to one coach and the group coach to be beneficial and it’s helpful to hear from other group members who maybe are experiencing the same challenges, we can learn from each other and support each other. I’m definitely glad that curiosity got the better of me!

The best thing I like so far is the accountability on both our parts. Knowing you are supported every step of your journey is very reassuring. Losing weight this slowly is challenging but I am constantly trying to achieve my goal. Reading the daily information is something I look forward to. My only regret is that after the first few days of listening to the information, I had to just read the information which is not as much fun. I hope that feature of reading is put back into this program. In conclusion I am very satisfied with my progress and I am still excited to continue.

Last night I logged Silver Moki Sauvignon Blanc and noticed it popped up as a green food. Seriously? Other foods that should be green pop up in the yellow or red sections. Do you actually have dietitians working for you? It’s also difficult to log the right amounts as we use the metric system in Australia, and are not familiar with ounces, etc. Any way we could get the option of choosing our preferred system when we sign up?

I am starting my sixth week with Noom and I am very pleased with the experience. Even though I am losing weight very slowly, my blood sugar levels have dropped considerably. The daily lessons have helped to begin to change my thinking about food, eating and meal planning. I would definitely recommend Noom to anyone interested in losing weight and I’m here to stay.

I have enjoyed my Noom experience thus far. The tips and tricks have been informative and the tracking is helpful. The food tracking could add in some more items, sometimes I struggle finding what I’m looking for. I have enjoyed working with a coach that helps me set goals and interacting with my group each week as well. While my weight loss has been slow it has been more informed than in the past. So I feel like it will be more long lasting.

Overall I have had success on Noom, so I would say that the program does works. I am a 30 year old male, who wanted to lose 15lbs, and I am 3 away from goal. Overall though, I think Noom is better suited for people who have a deeper/ more emotional connection with food, and need those psych tricks to help nudge them to subconsciously make decisions they normally would be adverse to.
Sometimes though, Noom can be very contradictory. I.e., they came up with a food labeling system, then say people should not “label their food as bad, ok, and good”. Noom will say, "You can eat something in Red if it fits within your calorie budget," but then I will have a coach tell me if I want to lose my remaining 3 lbs to reach my goal I need to eat more Greens and less Red; seems very contradictory to what the course teaches; also when I was suggested to eat more Green by my coach, literally one of the courses I had for the week was about being more (Pro)-protein telling me to sub out some carbs or other greens if I ate more protein instead (most protein rich foods are yellow or red). So, just to restate Noom’s color system is all over the place, and advice on how to use it for calorie budgeting, I think is very clumsy at best, and misleading at worst.
Finding recipes that I saved for later is terrible. There are so many other platforms that Noom can look to (I.e. Pinterest) that they can copy for saving healthy recipes to find later. To echo above, finding anything I saved can be difficult including articles. “Take a screenshot to look back later” is lazy on the developer’s part; a have a bunch of random screenshots of articles I found interesting in my Noom, randomly interspersed among my daily photos, and is in no way organized or helpful to me later.
Speaking of lazy and unhelpful, I bought the extra add-ons for food planning and exercise regiment and received two very long and tedious PDFs in my email. I think I looked at each once before, never setting eyes on them again. Again, super lazy on the developer’s part: they could have made that way more interactive and useful to the person who bought it; even by adding those two hopelessly long and unuseful PDFs to your App’s account vs just an email drop would have been a step-up vs just emailing once to your email. That probably made me the angriest over anything with Noom. I totally felt suckered by those add-ons.
I lost weight on Noom, so was it worth it for me in the end; yes. Do I think Noom is any more novel, then say, MyFitnessPal? For me, not really, but it may be better for people who have a tighter and more emotional connection to food, which may help them subconsciously break or ease their reliance on food to comfort them.

Overall, this whole experience is great! I was just wondering… My wife and I are both doing Noom. She has an iPhone SE I have the 11. We noticed differences in the same app between phones. Such as serving options (hers is much more limited) and certain games / quizzes. (She seems to have more. Although she started later than I did so there might be new stuff). Anyway, just wondering!

I love the lessons. They are spot on. The group and individual coaches are amazing. The food logging need to improve. More items should be available. Redundant items should be added to create a meal such as I eat the same items for breakfast every day so I should be able to group those items together to make a meal.

I am a lifelong dieter and although I have never been in a place of needing to lose a tremendous amount of weight, it is not unusual for me to suddenly realize that I need to lose 10 or 15 pounds! I have tried them all! Everything Except the ones where your food is delivered! A lot of what Noom does is remind me of what I should already know, but I have to say I have learned some interesting new facts and insights into the science and psychology of losing weight. The coaching and group chat aspect is really helpful. I have the benefit of being able to ask questions and participate in a group endeavor without actually leaving my house! Lol!
The way that you record your food has probably been the most beneficial because it is a constant reminder of why I have put on weight in the past… Not just how much I eat but what I choose. This program is for the person who seriously wants to lose weight as well as learning how to keep it off by changing Bad habits. It’s not just counting calories. It’s not just do's and don’ts. It’s retraining me to recognize the value of healthy choices.

Noom has been great because it targets the Psychological and emotional side of your weight loss journey. Noom helps you create your journey because weight loss is not a quick fix. The articles bring your thoughts triggers and process of weight loss to life. Having a coach is great. They provide great resources to help you on your journey.

I love the data and research provided. It gives me the tools I need to understand weight loss and maintenance. It also helped Me be mindful of my habits in social situations and understand how outside influences impact my food drive. Noom has also helped me understand my own productivity in the workplace, and remain more focused. This is my first weight loss program experience and I am happy to say I would stick with Noom for any future endeavours.

I like how the app gets you to think about food. But as a mother of twins too many food recommendations depends on food prep. I really need grab and go- no prep/no cook food weight loss recommendations. So many things the “coach” offers isn’t practical. I probably won’t renew. It’s just an expensive food logger at this point.

I’ve been very happy with this program. This is the only program I’ve been involved with that changes my relationship with food. I’ve had luck losing weight with other plans but it’s back. This time the difference is I’m rethinking food in my life.

Although I’m not using all the tools, I’m following the guidelines laid out. Good news, I am losing weight. I feel unsatisfied with this program because. A lot I am doing on my own. This program takes up too much time to follow exactly. Logging in, cooking recipes. Following exercise routines. I will definitely not renew. I do appreciate the help though. The messages to your group leader allow you to vent or chat about your experience for the day.

I’m seeing 0 results, both on the scale and in my psychology. I record every day, do the lessons every day as you can see from my records that you grade me on every day. I walk at least 2 miles every day. I bought a scale, a Fitbit. I think I should get a full refund.

The programme is excellent. Effective, well researched, supportive. Advice is timely and very sound. I cannot fault it. However, the app has a major flaw (as well as a number of poor UX choices). Most critically, the app asks you to record thoughts and undertake exercises, but has no way for you to save that work at the user end - though it is being saved as the goal coaches have access to the data. This is a bizarre design decision! Why on earth would the app designers not created a way for users to see their saved work? It is absolutely infuriating. Apart from this incomprehensible design decision, the course is first class.

My interaction with my goal specialist Ms. Kerri is limited I feel. I get much more support from my group coach who keeps cheering us on and sometimes I swear Noom knows me like a book book. I’ve lost 10 lbs now.

So far Noom is working well. Despite my doubts about weighing daily, it is working. I question some foods that are considered to be red, but I am slowly adapting. I like the lessons and the quizzes. I need a group so I appreciate comments from coaches and other members.

I get what you guys are trying to do, and theoretically it makes sense, but on one hand, you’re telling me to stay off a device, and pulling me into a device with reading articles and posting on some forum to a bunch of strangers (which I haven’t done btw). The food tracker is helpful, but it’s a little clunky. There are a bunch of steps and if I forget to add something, I have to close the analysis screen then start by going into the meal again. Also, the ability to star favorite foods would be ideal so I don’t have to keep entering the same stuff over and over. I know when I start typing my past foods come up, but stuff I already logged should be “favorites” - life sum is probably the best tracker I’ve ever used.
The coach experience is a bit generic and not personal. I feel like she doesn’t know me personally or understand what I’ve struggled with in the past, so I don’t feel like she’s helping me, just trying to be motivational. I feel like if you offered more accurate calorie/macro advice with a real personal trainer or nutritionist my scale would be moving and I’d be seeing better results. Right now I’m just feeling like I need to read articles and weigh in everyday. I want a program catered to me and what I should eat, with calories for the day, and potentially workouts to get my butt in gear. I paid for a meal plan and fitness program and it’s a pdf, disconnected from the app, so I feel like that was a huge waste of money added on when I was going through the process. I wanted Noom to be the one that worked, but so far, I feel like I’m not going to hit my goal.

I’m keeping under desired calories.. not sure if the fruits are my problem.. not able to lose weight. Extremely frustrating so would like to see if I should even continue this longer than 3 months. Oh well, I have tried sticking to the food group analysis that was recommended. I have limited capacity to exercise at this point.

After trying Noom a few years back and NOT sticking with it, I thought it was worth another shot. So glad I made that decision. The daily readings (which are very minimal, and based on how much time the user has to do them) give me that daily reminder of the long-term goal. It is encouraging while realistic. The coaches and group chats are totally on each individual as to how much or little to contribute. Even when I get frustrated with plateaus, I have not once thought of dropping the program. It is educational. And - when you do drop a pound here and there, or five - you realize your efforts are making a difference.

Love the calorie app; appreciate the humor sprinkled in to the lessons. The daily reading is helping me re-program my relationship with food. Daily weighing in seemed counterintuitive for motivation but I can see now it helps. (Not able to do this while on vacation). Team comments also help.

The sojourn has started to change the way I think and feel about eating food. This process has me thinking before I order and before I eat what I order. For example, do I have to eat the tortilla or just the stuff inside? Coach Emma, is a joy to interact with; if it is to vent, ask questions, share a frustration or celebrate getting over a hurdle she is very supportive.

I tried to add on the food plus exercise bundle in app. I clicked the button to purchase and it appeared I purchased. But after multiple attempts to contact support over multiple days, I was told that add ons can only be purchased via the website. I was then given a bad link. Eventually I was given a correct link and invited to purchase the deal with no discount for this bad experience. A) A user should be able to have the same exact experience in the website OR app and B) if a user can’t do something in app DON’T SHOW THAT IMPOSSIBLE OPTION.

Noom is teaching me all about my choices, my pitfalls and my wins. I never looked at eating in this way before. Not a diet as much as eating mindfully. I’m making me and striving to be the best I can! There is really no personal coaching. What you receive is minimal and generic. The process is helpful overall but just don’t expect any individual attention. I was expecting more. They need to make this clearer in how they describe their program.

I have appreciated the daily interaction with the lessons. Although, they are mostly things I already knew, It has been motivating to be reminded as I had fallen off the good health track for several years - which is why I started Noom. Also, being held accountable for what I’m eating helps me make better choices, especially without the guilt of “bad” foods.

This is my second time with Noom. I like the format they have set up for me. I read the lesson every day, log my weight every morning and try to apply their suggestions about food and eating to my daily routines. I am losing weight slowly and it is at my pace. My energy level is good and I am not hungry all the time.

What I love about Noom is the way it changes your relationship with food, it helps you to better understand what drives and motivates you to eat the way you do and empowers you to look at those differently. Not only does this transform the way you eat but the way you feel and transcends into other areas of your life as well. I initially checked out Noom looking for options to support a change in diet and exercise. When I discovered Noom had added a stress management plan, I recognized instantly this is what I really needed help with. I’m pleasantly surprised with just how helpful the daily practice has been. I’m getting a handle on behavior modification techniques that have transformed how I experience stressful situations now.

Given all the ads for Noom I assumed it was complete quackery. When I realized you could try it for a week free I did just because I wanted to know what the heck it was. I’m so glad it did. It works. The daily practices - track your weights, record your food and read the lessons. Keep your mind fully engaged. You also learn lots of interesting tips. Their categories of green yellow and red foods all of which you can eat a simple and easy to follow. The daily feedback activity keeps you on track. I’ve done every other diet available. Weight watchers, Jenny Craig etc. I honestly believe this time I will reach my goal and keep my weight off forever. I lost 10 pounds in the first month and didn’t feel hungry or deprived.

NOOM set my goal to be reached on 2/5/2022 and I reached it. I went through a 3 week stretch of no weight loss but I faithfully read my NOOM every day and followed their suggestions and it worked. Now Hope I can maintain my weight. I am happy.

Love the program. Daily weigh in, meal tracking and daily reading have really helped keep me focused and on track. Personal coach has not enhanced the program at all. Communication seems ”canned” and not particularly helpful. I have lost over 20 pounds and am very happy with that.

Discovering Noom has been an eye opener. I’ve always watched my weight and reduced it through different diet plans but it’s yo-yo dieting. Noom is a life plan and a breath of fresh air. Folks it works! This psychology and science based plan is the best I’ve ever seen. I love the educational aspect and the coaching provided. I’m losing weight and learning a new way to eat and think.

Noom app is very easy to use. I really like it. The daily logging is very easy and good to do. The daily information to help you keep going is very good. I would recommend it. I have tried a few different methods of trying to lose weight, Weight Watchers, KSFL. This is similar to WW but better for me, because I need to be accountable, so need to do a weigh in. This is easy because you do it at home instead of attending meetings. The information you get everyday, is like the discussion at the weekly group, but you can do it in your own time and it is daily, so keeps you on track even more than a weekly meeting.

For the first few weeks of the program I had a hard time getting with eating and staying within my caloric budget. I began to get the hang of it once the daily CBT lessons began to speak to my habits. I look forward to logging my progress, reading lessons, and encouraging messages daily on NOOM.

I’ve done many diets and the results of most of them are being cranky and angry and unbearable. So I stop! Noom’s one of the best programs I have ever tried, and one of the easiest. You’re not dieting. You’re changing the way you think, you’re changing the way you eat, and becoming more mindful of what you’re doing, how you’re doing it and what effect it has on your body! I’ve been doing this for now over a month, I’ve lost 23 pounds and I’m starting to feel good in my own body realizing that it’s not as difficult as it always has been! I am a 57-year-old female with a stubborn belly fat and all of the rest of the happy joyous changes that come with being a menopausal female. I never thought there would be anything out there that would be able to help me as easily and as quickly as a Noom has. I love this program and recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants to get on a journey for health, both physical and mental. I can’t thank everybody enough.

This program has changed the way I want to eat. I no longer reach for the bad food late at night. I also understand that I was eating way too big of portions previously that led to either weight gain or stagnant weight loss.

I’ve been using Noom for just about a month, and have been having success with it - I’m able to stay engaged with the learning articles, and it’s helping me to change my mindset around the concept of good and “bad” foods, that a bad day isn’t more than that, and the psychological aspect of it is helpful to me. It may not work for everyone (you still have to do the work) but I’m certainly finding that it fills a need that was missing from my journey to my big picture.

I had managed to lose 16kg alone in 2021 but had been stuck for10 months just unable to control my eating. I decided to give Noom a try after all the first 14 days was free. The first week I struggled. I had to come face-to-face with my real behaviours and the reasons for it. Since week two I have been in control of my behaviours and have lost 2.5kg. I am aware of danger points and plan ahead to avoid them. I am more active and using the calories that I earn from this. My coach and group really help to keep me motivated.

I’m very pleased with my Noom experience. I feel more in control of myself and that I am making lasting changes. It’s been eye-opening. The platform is easy to use and the learning opportunities are endless. I like the group and personal counselor support methods. Love Noom so far. I would like to see improvements to the food logging (easier adding food and more accuracy in calories). It is nice I can pair it with other apps to improve logging but would prefer it in one place.

I am happy with all the elements of the Noom program. I love the fact that I have a dedicated coach who promptly responds when I need her; I get to learn so much about nutrition and how the human brain works in relation to food. I’ve lost 18 pound to date since Jan 1 2022 - but what I’ve learned, has been priceless! I really like the mini courses, and the pop-up quizzes to help you see what you have learned to date -smile! I like that you can either read the lesson, or listen to it audibly. I think the coaching element could be more robust.

I do not like the following:
- not suitable for vegetarian/vegan
- difficult to navigate
- when logging food it does not save the last units
- too many clicks when logging food
- does not save exercise logged in the past
- missing search function for example if you want to look for a definition
I have been doing it for two weeks and am very disappointed with the result.

Overall I like the approach- being held accountable daily. I do think coaches should have a better response time especially if there is a client question. However I understand coaches probably have a very large case load. I also am not sure how individualized the program is after the initial survey. Finally, I just don’t understand how you can eat whatever you want in moderation and still maintain weight. It’s like 1200 calories for pancakes.

I love the friendly non judgmental feedback I get. It has been very helpful to me. The food analysis helps me to see right away where I need to increase the different types of foods that I might be lacking in.

The coaches are very helpful and knowledgeable! The daily readings are spot on. I love the Information definitely words of encouragement and wisdom! The psychology in losing weight is more helpful than previous things I’ve tried. It has taught me there is nothing off the table. Just moderately eat the REDS! Have taught me portion control with smaller plates. If the processed foods and Junk are not in the house you won’t eat it. How to handle eating out with others and control that elephant.

App is good overall, but the one main feature/API integration you are missing is with the Peloton app. Huge gap for Noom in lacking that. If this stems from peloton side, please feel free to reach out to me and I’ll submit a feature request on their end. The more people who flag this, the higher up in the product roadmap it’ll be prioritized!

I struggle with a balanced diet. I plan a week's menu and have trouble sticking to it. I fix the quickest food available like opening a can of chili. I am not losing weight. Haven’t figured out how to use my coach.

I’ve been on Noom for over a year, and haven’t had much loss. I love the information though. I’ve been under enormous stress for a few years. My husband has had lots of problems which have resulted in my having to care for him, and he’s non-compliant in almost all areas. Now he has a very rare form of cancer called gastrointestinal.

The educational, personal and team feedback is great. I am still learning the categories of foods, but the better I understand the easier to prep meals!! Just started back in a 10 week CrossFit program and I am excited to see the results when used with the nutrition. I average 13-15000 steps per day in my job. Feeling good!! Thanks Noom!!!

I tried Noom because I had heard a lot of advertisements for it and was intrigued about it being based on psychology. I am an ultramarathon runner and am having trouble backing off food when I’m not in training, so I have been gaining weight. I was hoping that Noom would help me overcome my mental addiction to food. I wish I would have only signed up for the 1 week free trial because once I got onto the app, I realized that it is a program that is truly meant for beginners in their weight loss/nutrition journey. I was taken aback that I was logging food, but the app doesn’t show macronutrient data. Being able to focus only on calories is a very basic nutrition approach.
I quickly became frustrated with logging my food and only keeping track of calories and food color (which only works if the food was already present in the Noom system - missing tons of other foods). I have only lost maybe a pound or two on Noom that wasn’t water weight over a month and with one week on MyFitnessPal, and tracking macros, I have lost two pounds. That being said, I know what I need to do to eat correctly - I just need to be able to see the data. The learning content of Noom was good, but again, very basic. I was in the 201 course and reading about the importance of breakfast. That is important information, but for folks that are very new to the nutrition journey.
Finally, I paid an extra $36 for what I thought was going to be weekly meal plans, but come to find that it was one weekly meal plan only. I also received a workout guide, but as an endurance athlete, I do not need those materials. Had I known I was not going to get weekly meal plans, I would have not signed up for that feature.

I have found that the lessons are very helpful for my weight loss journey and for keeping it off. The support of a coach makes me accountable. But what I really love is that you help me to still eat foods I love just more consciously. I, also, never feel like a failure. You make it real.

I have been on Noom for 4 weeks. I have lost 30 pounds. I researched the most up to date information on weight loss and Noom follows it to a tee, but in a way that is easy and not overwhelming. My friends and family are amazed at the progress I have made and many are joining. It is not a diet but a new lifestyle that I intend to carry on with permanently. My son who is just eating healthier dinners has lost 6 pounds and my husband who is following my diet has also lost 30. Best program available by far.

It has been a great experience so far! I’m on week 5 and have lost 12 pounds, have increased mobility and steps, added much more fruit and vegetables to my diet and enjoyed it! I have been so disappointed with the lack of communication from my 1:1 coach. She hardly talks to me. So never comments on what I’m doing and there is no encouragement from her. I need more support. I thought there was supposed to be group support? Where’s that?

I have used other logging systems before Noom. It would be a step up if Noom would add the ability to copy a recipe into the logging system without entering each item separately. The logging system is the one part of Noom that could use a definite upgrade.

I feel that Noom keeps me accountable for what I am doing and eating. I like the coaching and the social connection with others in my group. Recently my group changed due to a merge-I wish more of my original group stayed with my current group.

I am losing weight, but I’m not sure how much credit to give to Noom. I was hoping for something where I didn’t have to chase a person for feedback, but rather someone that popped in from time to time or real-time feedback to help with decisions in the moment that we’re tailored to me. I guess I was hoping for Noom to be that motivational pat on the back or polite push when things weren’t trending well. I am not a fan of groups. In what I’ve seen posted, it’s too generic. I would rather be matched with people that have similar issues instead of just who started the same day as me.

I was expecting big things from everything I’ve heard and read about how NOOM changes your life, but I’ve frankly been largely underwhelmed. The interface is nice and clean, and I’m glad to have a dove where I can hold myself accountable for tracking weight and food intake, but I am fairly disappointed with the results (or lack thereof) that I’m seeing. Plus my “coach” seems more like an automated bot than a real, knowledgeable and supportive person who can actually help me achieve my goals. At this point, I doubt I will continue service with NOOM in the future unless I see some real changes very soon.

I've successfully lost 14 pounds in about one month. I do really like the methods of thinking, the shift in thought processes about food. Some of the advice seems more geared towards women though. I think you could broaden your audience a bit more and that would be a bit more helpful.

Daily lessons, retraining my eating habits, increasing my healthy choices, all without ‘banning’ certain foods. It’s great! Add in a health coach who checks in on you, and has good advice. Weight loss is progressing well, and the chart of my progress VS goal helps me focus. Looks like I’ll be a Noomer for life.

I am over 60 years old and struggled with yo yo dieting. Noom is teaching me how to change my mindset to achieve goals I have set. It’s not instant gratification, it’s not a pill or a miracle cure. It IS a valuable education and insight into eating habits and food choices. The coach and the group are the personal interaction we all need. I’ve lost 7 pounds in four weeks I think??? I’m thrilled and motivated to keep going. Also I’ve noticed the timing of some of the course topics seem to fall exactly when you need to hear that information. Coincidence??? Probably not.

I don’t understand the coaching, do I have one? I wish recipes were sent by email so they were easy to print. I enjoy the lessons but I feel like it’s just a site to log meals more or less. I’d like more analysis or feedback. I think I’m understanding the coloured groups.

The group was originally really good. But then she disappeared and now not much interaction or activity. The individual coach is terrible. Inconsistent response frequency. Does not focus on the heart of the comment or the exchanges. So it’s pretty stilted. Clear she is not engaged.

Everything is pretty good. I wish there was more info on food colors. Only things listed are base ingredients. You have to search each item individually to make sure what color it is. I’m discovering green foods by accident. Some foods that have the same makeup and ingredients are on different colors

I have been on Noom for two months and it simply works! I wanted a program that was sustainable and would allow me to be a real person when the program period was over. I cannot diet because diets are not real. Additionally, Noom is culturally inclusive! I am Nigerian living in the United States and there has not been a single dish that I have not been able to find on the Noom database. Kudos. I have lost 11 real pounds that are gone for life and I enjoyed the process because I am learning about me. It simply works.

I’m delightfully surprised that NOOM is working for me. I had a good knowledge of what foods are healthy and when I would be sabotaging myself. You need to create a reading program that reaches the older population like myself who retired and are facing challenges. I’m 65 and my lifestyle has slowed down making it harder to lose weight. Your reading is geared for younger people who are still working and/or have children. Also, you have several activities that were left off the a list, i.e., bowling.

I’m a long time dieter so was skeptical. The program is easy, helpful and informative. The lesson plans are timely and helpful. Most helpful Is the food analysis where you can see which foods are best. At 65 it’s harder to lose weight but I’m happy with my slow but steady progress. I’m down 9 pounds in 7 weeks so I’ve almost lost my quarantine poundage! Next will be the long term extra pounds.

There are a few things that could be improved on. They need to add a category for logging drinks. Currently you can on my log food, and water by the glass. A separate category for drinks, with sun-categories for alcoholic drinks, for example Drinks: cold, hot, alcoholic, would improve logging accuracy for a lot of people. I bet there are people who don’t realize how much the odd latte here and hot chocolate there adds up, and who may not remember to log those with a meal or snack.

Noom is like that personal trainer and therapist all in one. It helps hold you accountable for what you’re eating but also helps you understand that being healthy and losing weight is about so much more than just eating right. Although I find the format of Noom wonderful I would appreciate a little bit more input from my coach. The other thing that I don’t love is the feedback on food groups and going over in a certain category. I believe that it should focus more in calories and less on giving judgment whether someone’s got over at a food group.

I love the program and enjoyed the readings. The only thing I struggled with was weighing daily. I was making me miserable on the days I had a gain. I talked with my coach and decided a weekly weigh in was best for me. Since I am doing that, things seem right now. Down 21 pounds since December 9 and feeling great.

I have never experienced the kind of help than Noom offers, and my body couldn’t be more thankful! I feel more confident in my ability to reach my goal, and I’ve already lost over 10 lbs. since January 1st, 2022!

I have found this app very helpful not only in guidance about food but also in helping to understand how weight loss can be sustained. This is in the form of short reading and responding daily tasks. They are engaging and use a review mechanism so that previous learning is embedded.

I enjoy Noom. The biggest complaint I have is their food log. Their database is quite lacking and I’m unclear as to who to contact for it. My coach is lovely, but she doesn’t seem to have concrete solid advice. I do enjoy the other Noom subscribers. We support each other. The daily lessons are very informative and helpful.

I love Noom. The food tracking, daily readings, group chat are great. I’m hopeful that I will be successful with Noom. I’ve referred my friend and she has joined & she loves Noom too. The psychology part of Noom sets Noom apart & way superior to the others in this category.

Hello Noom, It’s been difficult finding time. I want to share that I am not throwing in the towel. I have til Sept12 to reach my goal. No pressure because all I can do is log the food and be positive. I am sharing this experience but I must say it is a lonely self awareness pace. Learning to encourage myself.

I think the program is awesome but your site and tech support needs a lot of help. I’ve been on Noom for 5 weeks. Diligent every day. I changed phones and Noom lost all my progress and data. Very discouraging.

I ordered Noom back in December and due to various reasons did not start for a month. Since starting I definitely feel more motivated and encouraged. I have tried multiple weight loss plans and will lose weight, but I think Noom will help long term.

It’s been great! I like logging my food daily and I feel it has really helped with increasing mindfulness about what I eat. It’s helpful to have one place to keep track of everything weight related. It brings more focus to the long term goal process.

For the first 40 years of my life, I was able to eat whatever I wanted without gaining a pound resulting in little understanding of how food affected my weight and how my own perceptions, thoughts and actions were sabotaging my efforts to lose weight. Noom has made it easy and fun to learn and really understand the science and psychology behind healthy eating and weight loss. I feel better emotionally and physically and can’t wait to get on the scale every morning. I am always satisfied between meals and have learned how to replace unhealthy “snacks” with more enjoyable ones without feeling deprived! Noom is definitely the safest, easiest, most effective and enjoyable way to lose weight and re-gain self-confidence!

I am doing the work, and thinking more about the choices I make when putting food in my body and not seeing any results on the scale. It’s frustrating that I am choosing a smoothie for breakfast with plant based protein powder and Noom views a plant based protein powder as RED?! Really? Come on, talk about disheartening, especially when the program isn’t working.

I’m finding the psychological information and tips very helpful. The articles are illuminating and helpful dealing about weight loss, hormones, the behaviour chain, etc. Knowing what triggers me and having options has been extremely helpful. I love that it’s a lifestyle and not a deprivation diet. Feel like this will be sustainable.

There’s nothing that’s all that helpful for me in the articles. I’ve read a ton of them. It’s all information I already have. I learned it in basic Psychology classes or in simple Google searches for free articles. I just don’t feel as though it is as helpful as I was hoping it would be.

Noom has introduced me to many new tools to help me manage my stress and anxiety. I love logging in every day, and I’ve noticed a difference in my moods overall. I do wish there was an option that allowed me more time with my coach when I need it. For example, a way to schedule a 30 minute meeting with her or some other coach when my tough emotions hit. Sometimes 24 hours is a little too long to wait for a response.

Coach and I communicate about once a day and I suppose the frequency for me is less than what I thought would be for beginner. Thought as I move through program the communication would taper back as I’ve built my skills.

I have not been faithful to the program. I made a re-commitment yesterday and hope to continue the work! I think the program is going to help me a lot. Looking forward to being healthier and lighter! I have lost some weight and happy for that success. Paying a subscription though, I don’t feel like the coaches are as involved as they should be to help. I have heard this from others in my group. You get one interaction a day? What I have a question or something I need answered now? If I am paying I just think the coaching should be more involved. The content is good and the psychology behind this is good info.

Noom is a great system with an app that is so easy to use. It has helped me to be more mindful about what I am eating, and why I am eating it. Just over five weeks into the program, I have not yet lost a lot of weight, but I am hopeful that with the smart dietary choices and increased exercise, the pounds will follow! I’m having success with Noom. Seems quite a bit of common sense. Have learned some helpful things. Feels a tick “self helpy” at times. Can seem restrictive at times. I’ve learned a little about myself. Logging your meals really helps, most have no idea what we eat in a day. All in all, a good experience.

I wanted to try Noom a few years ago but couldn’t because I couldn’t afford to pay that much money upfront. I wish they had a monthly payment option. This time I joined Noom with a friend & she paid for it as a Christmas gift. The psychology part actually does help, learning why you eat what you eat. I’m just not losing weight for some reason. I’ve been on it for a month and only lost 8lbs. Because I’m a vegetarian & a lot of my “fake meats“ are red foods (processed), I try to limit how many of those I eat which causes my calorie intake to be too low. If your calorie intake’s too low you don’t lose weight. It’s now February & I just don’t see myself losing 30lbs by June. But who knows…

I think this program is fantastic. I’ve done a few different diets over the years and this is one of the best. I love how it pairs eating with the psychological component. Some days it’s like Noom has read my mind with the course content. I think it’s very easy to understand and the food choices are plentiful. The mindset has to be there but that’s where the courses help. I absolutely love the recipes and have been making at least one a day since I’ve started. It’s a slow and steady loss and Noom is teaching me to not strive for unattainable perfection but to be a more realistic me that will succeed. I am a huge fan of this program and will continue on and continue to be a positive example and proponent of the program

I started Noom because I had a bad reaction to COVID vax, lost a good lot of hair and put on weight due to depression and my pcos over COVID. I have always had a starve myself to lose weight mentally, and Noom is teaching me me differently, it’s helping me to be happy healthy and my hair is growing and my weight is reducing. Thankyou Noom.

It has been just over a month since I joined Noom and I am delighted with the process. Manageable, bite sized (please excuse the unintended pun) articles that make sense of the interplay of mind, body and lifestyle. Noom has been great for me!! I love my coach! She really helps me out things into perspective and lets me know if I am on the right track or not. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star was because the food logging could use some updates or changes but I work with it and it seems to be working!

I have done Noom before- I knew what I was looking for! Noom is not a diet - it’s about changing the way you see food- every change can be used for a life time! I feel better- I’m sleeping better and oh yeah losing some weight also but I had to wait for it! I lost nothing the first 20-22 days- weighing every day but my choices were spot in and I knew it would come and the loss began about day 25 and I am now down about 8 pounds! Scales do not define me my choices do! I choose healthy choices!

I’ve struggled with my weight all my life - I’ve lost over 100 pounds two different times! This year when I started worrying that I was losing control of my weight again I decided to try Noom. Having to do everything over the phone can be annoying but the coaches and courses and daily reminders are really helpful. Even when it’s stuff I already know, the format and the presentation help make it “real” for me. Instead of gaining weight this January, I’ve lost 6 pounds in a month, instead, helping me maintain my “winning” streak for another year.

I love that it can be a private thing done on my own time. The daily lessons help me stay on track without waiting for next week’s meeting. I really like the chat too. I don’t have time to fit a in person meetings into my schedule so the flow is perfect for my busy life.

I love the program, any setbacks are with me. Not Noom. I love logging and I love recipes and my coaches are there for me! I also like being able to read the group messages. I then know that I’m not the only one out there fighting their weight. I also love the colored system, it keeps me on track. I have gave up regular potato chips as no more, I use baked chips and only as a part of a meal with a sandwich so I don’t feel deprived. Love this program.

I started Noom January 1st and on February 1st I am down 12lbs. This has been fun to see the weight just drop away. I credit the food journal, this has made me much more mindful of what I am eating. The daily lessons have allowed me recognize that what I am going through is quite normal.

I find the program to very motivating. I love the Color board on food. It has slowed me to eat healthier and feel more energetic. I find myself looking at food more consciously. I pick and choose now what I eat in lieu of just putting anything I use to see in my mouth. I enjoy the lessons provided. It motivates me to continue to lose weight and eat healthier.

For the 1st time in 15 years I am actually losing weight and identifying new insights regarding my success and challenges. I am disappointed that my cell and iPad do not connect and coordinate in Noom. My Garmin step count is also often lagging in Noom. I wish there was a food analysis program like ** so that I could more accurately document my homemade calories. Overall I am very pleased.

First off, they help you believe you can achieve weight loss. Second they incorporate a variety of components that lead you towards success. A few minutes a day listening to mini courses, logging your weight and food daily, a calorie budget you can tailor to your goals and time frame, a support group and coach! This program does require your investment of time, but it gets results. I’m down 7.5 lbs in one month. I am so impressed with Noom and with myself!

Overall good experience, like the personal help which is the only reason I’m sticking with it. At the end of the day it’s just another “diet” method but hopefully is more permanent. The group part is not my thing and kinda annoying. Would like to see bullet points for each lesson. To make it worth the price, You would need to break down a meal automatically, example Chick Fil A salad, break it Down into it parts when I log.

I’ve been doing the Noom thing for six weeks now. Only lost 2kilo but learning to persevere. I train physically for five times a week. I’m thinking that my lack of sleep time might be a reason for slow weight loss. I’m just forge on. I like recording food eaten in various zones, I like recording water consumed and exercises.

I am loving my Noom experience! I’m not just on a diet, I’m changing my lifestyle with Noom’s help. I am satisfied with Noom. The program is pretty much what it says it is. I have learned about the psychology of eating. Some information is new to me. The calorie counter is useful. The rapport with the groups is useful if you have a good group. My group is pretty lame. Not many of them participate. Those who do, are great. The group coach and individual coach are nice and sometimes useful. They are not the replacement of a dietitian or psychological counselor.

One month in and I’ve lost 14 pounds and have learned so much about better eating and lifestyle choices. The psychology aspect of the program is great and easy to absorb. I feel like I am beginning a real change and not a temporary fix.

I think that discussion about food and temptations is too much focused on US food culture. Processed food, sweeties etc. Is not what I am struggling with. I have found it a little surprising how my metabolism slows down while changing my eating habits - eating less and more slowly. I have tried to discuss this with the 1-1 coach, but it seems that I haven’t communicated it clear enough, at least don’t get a real feedback on this. Apart from above mentioned, I like Noom, especially the food tracking and colour system. Not all the guiding because of the US focus.

The group of coaches assigned to me are useless. If they respond to me at all, it’s usually days later and is just regurgitated info I can and have found myself. No inspiration, no pep talk, just useless repetition. My group coach posts a few times a week but has not reached out to me personally, I don’t know if that’s even a thing. I think we are encouraged to eat less processed food but that makes tracking what you ate tricky because the app doesn’t have a clue what you really ate. For instance I was logging beef stew (homemade and very healthy) and it logged as red and ate my whole allowance. But if I log it as veg stew and separately log stewing beef it’s green and yellow. This area needs work.

I have learned many things that will stay with me when I no longer need the program. Charting what I eat and the portions has made me aware of what I put into my mouth and how much. So far I am enjoying the plan. I am at a weight plateau and trying to overcome this. The recipes are good. The group I am in is helpful and is a village I can visit and share my experience and struggle and also share the good stuff too. I am committed to my goal and have also gotten my sister to enroll and she is doing well. I have a long way to goal so working on mind set. Each day is a little different and each day working on reducing stress and increase my workouts. I am even learning to cook better and my daughter is 15 and enjoys the meals I cook. I’ve lost 15 pounds my first month. I love the approach because it teaches me my relationship to few, why I get cravings late at night, etc. I get rewarded for exercising by adding more calories to my calorie budget. I have changed a bunch of bad habits and it hasn’t been that difficult so far. I truly believe I’ll be able to sustain this lifestyle.

Calculator for carb protein sugars and sodium. When I signed up I believed that I had the ability to calculate all of my intake. The inability to calculate my carbohydrates is disappointing. I had to pay for another app in order to do this as well as calculate my proteins. They should be part of the noon Noom Services.

I love the lessons, groups are ok, but the coaching is terrible. They never answer questions but instead just ask questions as answers and it goes in loops.. then I answer and it takes days to get a response, but the response is just Another question. This is extremely frustrating and makes me not want to even talk to the coach… but they keep leading me on to believe they are actually going to be helpful. I’ve had two coaches so far and they have the same tactics so I’m guessing this is how they are trained… that’s very frustrating.

I’m very pleased with the insight, instruction, psych tips, timely encouragement. Noom has been terrific. I get discouraged to see the seeming lack of progress and hate it when the scales go the wrong way, but look back over the past month and see progress… and it makes the effort worth it.

My experience with NOOM has been good! I only wish I had access to the later lessons in audio versions. I really wish I had access to the audio versions of the lessons so that it would be more convenient since I have time to listen and not read so much.

Blasting social media with ads after Xmas worked. I was depressed and joined despite my brain saying don’t. This is another WW but with colors instead of points. I’ve made multiple comments and questions that are ignored by the coach who reports once a week to tell me what I ate. The community group is full of repeat Noomers -which tells you this does not work. I should have put this money towards a nutritionist and therapist because the vast majority of us have some level of disordered eating. I didn’t listen to my gut, and joined on a whim on a day I was struggling and in a bad place. I paid for this, so will use it, but will be cancelling my subscription when it expires.

I’ve been using Noom for a month now and am loving it. I love the colour coding of food and the daily psychology that helps me understand the behavioural side of eating. When I started Noom, I had habits of eating peanut butter at every meal. I learned that I could still eat peanut butter but in smaller portions; like 1 tablespoon a day. Later on, I started taking risks like making a salad adding fruit to my diet and controlling my inner elephant by no longer wanting sugar or peanut butter because it made me feel bad. My Noom coach gave me a one on one and I appreciate the group. I have made character changes as well I now use measuring cups and measuring spoons. Since a few months ago I have lost more than 10 pounds. I still occasionally have a binge but it is so much better than it used to be.

Noom has helped me almost reach my goal weight. Through the learning modules and calorie counting, I’ve learned what foods and recipes are good for me. I have watched the scale go down day after day. Noom is beneficial, but I wish I could have had a coach to help me when my weight plateaued for two weeks. I didn’t know who to reach out to. My coach stopped messaging me. It was frustrating, and I wasn’t sure if it was normal or not. Other than that, Noom has been the only way that I have Been able to lose weight.

I began Noom November 29, 2 months later I’m down nearly 40 pounds yesterday. I love the lessons, and I not only see but feel the physical and mental changes. I’ve had a plateau, I’m coming out of that now, but despite what the scale reads, I feel great about myself. It’s a new me, rather let’s say the real me. This is fully sustainable for the rest of my life, my cravings are down, my appreciation for different eating styles Has increased dramatically and I’m seeing the results. I’m walking after dinner, I’m sleeping better. I have a great group coach coach Taylor, and the group is wonderful and supportive.
Two minor points that I could bring up, and the first one is really petty. I’ve logged every meal completed every lesson and waiting every day, I do not have one Noom coin. Technical support has an issue and I understand that, here comes a petty part, if you’re going to tell me you have a way to support me and then you can’t provide that it’s kind of a letdown. My next growing concern is that I am on my second 1:1 coach, My first coach Cydney, was available all the time, very attentive and we seem to have a great connection, she moved onto another company. I’m not sure if my second coach has a larger workload now, the communication is spotty, I’m not getting responses, I’ve reached out to her to ask her if there was a certain day she’d rather me reach out and I haven’t heard back from her on that. That’s the worst I can say of my personal experience. I attached a before and after picture I hope you can tell the difference, ha ha.

My girlfriend and I got an invitation to beta test a new area they want to get into for stress relief, called Mood. It was really being helpful. The responses were way faster than the three days it could take. The two weeks just isn't enough, even for a free trial. I feel like that amount of time could possibly do more damage than anticipated to those who may really need that kind of support. My girlfriend has general anxiety disorder; she was the main person testing. By the time she was talking to people responding to her issues, it was taken away unless a subscription was obtained. I have borderline personality disorder. I am sure you are aware of how expensive, and difficult it can be to find actual help for this. Which is why I waited, and just participated with my girlfriend's use of it. For someone with BPD, two weeks then, the perceived abandonment would have a serious adverse effect on someone's life and actions.
We wrote to Noom, and was eventually offered a discounted subscription from the $40.00/month, to $30.00/month. I know Noom is privately owned, has just over two thousand employees, and brings in well over five hundred million dollars annually. People that are struggling to find help could really benefit from your idea, and application. It is super disappointing that when, and if, you are able to identify someone in need, especially in a time we are in now, that there is not something more that you could do to actually help that person. The way it is set up, it makes the help that someone could get, nothing more than the bi-product, second to the profits being made.
A simple solution that would possibly solve this issue, would be to work through, and with insurance companies. But, that would still leave out the largest demographic, that being the lower social-economic people. Honestly, that in itself could be hurting the poor people in general, which happens to consist of colored people, and minorities, and could probably be construed to be some kind of rights violations. So, working with the insurance companies may be a moot point, unless you work with the states for those on welfare or state insurance benefits as well. I do not know how feasible, or difficult that is though. You have a winning idea, and you could help countless people. But you could help so many more.
If that is truly the case, and this application is really about helping people first, then I hope you read this, and use this to obtain your goals, which will allow for the making of money, while actually getting people the help and support the need and desire. For those that can already afford this kind of application, my guess is that they can already afford to go in to see a doctor or therapist now, they are just choosing not to due to inconvenience, or laziness. You are on the right track, but you could be so much better. You could be downright great.

I personally Am a fan of Noom, however I personally find it difficult to stay engaged for more than a couple days at a time. More gamification would help that. Even possibly offer rewards! Other apps and programs offer discounts, digital content, etc. and that could be a good option here. Even if it is just a slightly inflated Noom coin that provides the currency.

I have been a family doctor for over 40 years and have seen many weight loss and diet programs but this is by far the best one I have ever seen. There isn’t even a close second. My wife and I have been doing the program for about 7 weeks and it has been an eye opening journey. I came to the conclusion years ago that the root cause of obesity is psychological but this was the first program that explains that in such understandable and honest terms and then gives loads of practical helpful psychologically based suggestions that hit the nail squarely on the head. I am thankful for Noom! I wanted to try it out to see if it could really help me lose some weight so I could be healthier. This is my eight week and I couldn’t be more happier with the results. I’m feel I am not getting anything out of this program, unfortunately. I feel I would get the same results from logging my calories myself. I don’t find it motivating and the information is boring and not helpful. I also do not have time for the daily readings. It was easier to fit it in when they were on audio, so I could listen to them on my way to work. I’ve lost 5 pounds since starting the program on November 30, 2021. I’m frustrated.

Overall I have been enjoying the experience. I like the coaching, group aspect and daily articles and actionable suggestions. The one thing is that you learn a lot very fast and sometimes I find it overwhelming to choose and stick to a psych trick or habit goal.

Feeling overwhelmed with the program and having difficulty following it. Think the articles are good but I forget them. I am frustrated and am thinking I should ask for a refund and maybe start at another time. Also, there is a charge on my Discover account from Noom for $36.75 on 12/16 for an add on product??? In addition to a $119.25 charge on 12/21! What is going on.? Please refund me!

Have appreciated the steps in goals setting. Weight loss to date is good. Reminders, of what I have known for decades, these are harder to adjust as an older participant. Positive and logic works for me. Thanks for the program

It would be good if we could have a place that the whole meal from the previous day could just enter into the new day. Other than that I love the psychology guidelines. I have still not lost any weight because I crave all the red foods!

Helps me learn about balancing the food I eat. With every food being part of color groups l find it helpful to learn about which group it belongs to and then make different choices, healthier ones. So far Noom has been great. I find my coach helpful too.

My personal Coach has been very off. She often takes days to answer me. I am in need of better support one on one. Logging has been okay and found it difficult to navigate the group chats at time as we are all on different spots so chat is all over.
