This is a well organized program that is motivating and very educational. It is definitely getting me to re-think my habits and take different actions. I am a little disappointed with the one on one interactions. I thought it might be a bit more personal but is really reviewing what I have already heard/wrote. There is nothing wrong with this I just thought it would be a little more personal. I have quite an in depth personal introduction and then basically it can back to what red foods I eat at dinner.. I’m also curious what happens long term? Do we stay part of the Noom app to log and share with others?

I absolutely love my experience with Noom so far! I’ve been doing it for nearly two months and I’m down eleven pounds so far. I truly think the lessons I’m learning have helped changed my mindset and I think it’s really easy to track my calories. My personal coach Lisa is also fantastic with answering my questions and giving me helpful advice. I’ve already told some family and friends they should give it a try too!

I’m satisfied enough that I would recommend to family, friends & clients. But it does request you spend a few minutes per day. Kind of like fellowships that posit, “it works if you work it cause you're worth it! I can honestly say I’m learning a lot & have superb support from NOOM sponsor!

I really wanted to like Noom because I love psychology and their approach was interesting. At the end of the day, TLDR: MyFitnessPal is better. Pros: lessons are interesting, color coding is an interesting concept. Cons: consistent technology issues/bugs where I couldn’t log for days and the coaches could care less, I strongly agree with the other comment about the coaches being terrible, I’m actually a professional business coach and I can say from my own experience they do not have an attitude of a professional coach, they are inconsistent with communication and when they do respond it’s not insightful or helpful, lastly they do not seem to genuinely care and seem to give bare minimum, I witnessed this with three coaches! I had one who was terrible so I quit the app, I tried the app again a few months later, had a terrible coach and requested to be switched, then there was a bug that wiped my account and I lost my coach - ridiculous.
I actually had one couch tell me that the nudge messages are auto-populated and she doesn’t write them! Why tell me that? The texts are meant to encourage me and you just told me they’re all boiler plate templates. Lastly, the food logging data is just not as robust as MyFitnessPal, majority of the time they don’t have the brand I’m trying to log, and then when you try to log manually, it doesn’t could toward your color breakdown, makes no sense. What I love about MyFitnessPal is the accuracy of the food logging, and you can change it to macros if you’re doing keto.

Don’t seem to be losing weight, annoyed that all your foods are American brands not catering for other countries, as this survey. Don’t really know if I am eating the right food choices, cut back on sweets and portions and many of my other food choices.

I really love how mindful Noom makes you about what you are putting in your body. By teaching you what to eat instead of telling you what to, Noom really makes every meal easier. I can have a cookie after dinner! Also, not being scared of the scale is one of my favorite victories!

While I find my coach pleasant and respectful, I don’t find the interactions very meaningful. Her responses seem generic at times and the infrequency of them disinterested. I have expressed concerns with the program and my frustration with how little progress I have made despite meeting the goals and have received no real help with this issue. She asks me to comment on certain aspects of weight loss that seem disconnected from where I currently am in my journey causing further disconnect. I get the impression that she spends a short period of time (very early in the morning where I live) sending canned answers or questions to propose before going in with her day. There is little dialogue even if I reply to her right away.

I had no idea when I began Nooming how important it is to eat 3 times daily and a few snacks in between. So far I have lost 8 lbs and am feeling better overall. This program does a great job of reminding you that a meal is needed. The reduction in caloric intake has been a challenge and at first I was feeling dizzy and faint but now more normal feeling. My doctor should be pleased with my A1C and loss of weight when I see him next month.

The analysis of information helps keep me motivated. “Green, Red, Yellow” is easy to understand. Love the audio of the lessons for those hectic days… I can listen on my long commute! Step counter is not super reliable. Major discrepancies between my watch and the app.

I’ve tried various weight loss programs and diets and would have temporary success but always gained it back. I’ve reached a point in my life where I was tired of feeling sick and tired all the time. I was embarrassed with how winded I would get doing the simplest things. Joining Noom has been such a blessing. The psychology has helped me truly understand my body and eating habits which has helped me make the changes needed for a sustainable lifestyle. It’s been so easy to log my meals, I’ve rarely had anything that wasn’t already in the system to track. The community in the group and one on one coaching has been so motivating.

Noom has fought me so much about healthy eating and how to incorporate it into my life, in a realistic way. Being that Noom is rooted in psychology, and does not promote a restriction lifestyle is incredibly important to me. I have learned so much about healthy eating and eating habits, but even more about my brain and how it works! I LOVE NOOM and am so happy I decided to do this for myself!

I’ve learned a lot so far on Noom. I just wished “my group” and coach were better responding and active. I kinda feel like the coach is a bot. I would prefer someone that is actually a person. I am slowly losing and gaining the same 3-4 pounds. I have lost about 8 lbs but can’t seem to stay motivated.

I said I wanted to spend 4 minutes a day reading but your content requires at least 10. Also, some of your food items are confusing and don't show the right calorie values. Beyond that, the coach is quite generic, she won't share anything meaningful that's related to me personally. Only buzzwords and repetition of articles. To specific questions she only refers to the articles. Finally I live abroad in Spain and the content is super focussed on USA.

So far so good. Provides an environment for me to calmly undertake a difficult, life-changing transformation. Support. Science-based information. An occasional laugh. Skill-building scaffolding. While sharing experiences with group members is helpful, even comforting, as time goes on the changing list of group members has created an eerie atmosphere. Of course the privacy Noom affords its members requîtes such silence, but I cannot help wondering who the people are, and more importantly, how they are doing. At one point the group leader said that «members will come and go for a variety of reasons». I have no suggestions for change.

To be fair, logging food is the easiest it has ever been. I love that recurring or combined items show up close to the top! There are two or three clicks that are bothersome. Once I click done, I am directed back to the meal, then done again which takes me two a splash screen highlighting my choice and then back to home. Those last two are redundant and not necessary. Maybe and opt out if the splash screen feature?? In addition, I find that I need to log multiple meals at once and once a meal is finished I am redirected to home when what I really need is a way back to meals. :) Maybe another navigation option at the top?

I’m trying really hard on an app. I think I’ve been pretty good at keeping my way and am I log up-to-date. However I don’t think that it is as advertised and stuff doesn’t have them as quickly as expectantly as advertised as well as Adam products were very expensive but they didn’t give me any results at all.

Attainable goals and support along the way has been awesome! The lessons make sense and I have gained confidence in my ability to lose weight. I am doing self care more seriously and I feel so much better. The stress in my life has not gone away but my response to it has changed. I used to eat my way through the day to medicate my stress. Now I am learning portion control and to replace distortions in my thinking. I would recommend Noom to everyone.

Seems a little bit generic to me. Been ok. I think the process is good. It has taught me a lot about my thoughts about food but basically it’s calorie counting. This plan tends to push people into a Mediterranean style diet. I’m allergic to shellfish and salmon and chickpeas which leaves me basically struggling for protein that will work. I’m diabetic so I need protein more than grains. I’m still working it but the free two week period is a joke cause no plan. Will fail in just two weeks. As for coaching. I like my coach but Make no mistake. This is not 24/7 help. This is Monday - Friday counseling. I’m fine with this as I’m home all day and can read for information. My daughter however works a lot and really can’t access this because they aren’t there in the evenings or weekends for her. So in short if you can count calories, read a book about healthy choices. You can save hundreds of dollars.

I have had success with weight loss in the past. This time I decided to try this diet as it promises more sustainable results. But the level of difficulty I have had maintaining weight loss during the last 8 weeks has been really discouraging. The stepping on the scale daily to watch it fluctuate up and slowing back down is depressing. When I reached out for help with logging and explanations no one has been able to explain what exactly goes into the color system which has at time made following the suggested program difficult. The daily lessons was great at first but with the scale not moving really has created an unmotivating environment. The actual logging of the food although actually easy the amount of duplicated foods all with different labels without any explanations of what exactly the food is creates it difficult to properly log meals. Overall it’s just frustrating.

NOOM has helped me put the focus on myself. I get things done in other areas of my life that I have put off. I have learned a lot about food and behavior. The program offers a lot of freedom in food choices which I can live with. Logging my meals is helpful even though telling the truth can be challenging some days. The best part of the program for me is that it is not judgemental.

The meal suggestions are simple and easy to follow. I have left other plans because the suggested foods list was full of stuff I had never heard of. I also like the psychology of weight loss. In the past I have lost weight but never kept it off due to the resurgence of old habits.

It’s about how you think and feel. And if you think about it, those are the underlying conditions that determine how we eat how often we eat and how much we eat. So this is a very useful and effective process. However it requires dedication concentration and reflection. So if you aren’t ready to make a real commitment to it, it won’t work.

At Christmas set a lofty goal of losing 20 pounds. Here we are just under two months into the year and I am just 2 pounds away from my target weight of 220. I feel great and have so much energy that every day is a positive experience. Thank you so much.

I am loving this. Although I have actually gained weight, I am learning to be gentle to myself and try to use the psych tricks. Logging food: I am finding that the interface is very tiresome. I have to log in one food. Then add etc if I need to. Then press done. Then another screen. Which leads to a another screen. Then back to the food log main page. Press food log. Wait for the breakfast lunch dinner main screen. Then choose. Then all that again. Then it does not remember which unit I use for some of the foods. Example: premier chocolate protein. Shake I alley as have to choose other unit to select 1 shake with the correct calories. Other’s just great.

I have been using Noom for 6 weeks. I am using it as a tool to help be more aware of my choices, log my food easily, and ultimately lose weight without having a very restrictive diet. It teaches psychology behind why we do what we do in relation to food and how to counteract that. It isn’t extremely restrictive and won’t result in 20 pounds down in 2 weeks, but that’s the point. This teaches how to make food choices and how to eat reasonably for real life. I am down 13 pounds in 6 weeks, and have still enjoyed a beer now and again as I had before, and gone out to eat a few times without feeling shame other diets may push.

I have tried to lose weight many times before but have never been successful at keeping it off because I’ve always just “dieted”. Noom is teaching me how to make healthier food choices and explains WHY those choices are better so I’m more likely to continue making them. I love wading the articles each day and learning about the psychology surrounding living a healthy lifestyle. Perhaps the best part of Noom, and what makes it really stand out above any other program, is the amount of support you receive from coaches and other Noomers! Some days being able to message a group of other people that are dealing with your same frustrations and get their feedback and words of support is truly priceless!

In my opinion, Noom presents the program as the only thing we’re doing. And, their pep talks are off-putting and childish. Also, I was awakened at 3:18 a.m. I have to drive up to Austin for a luncheon, and return to San Antonio for another family gathering this evening. So, that’s a problem I think could have been avoided if you know the time zones in which we live.

I have had a great experience with Noom. My wife and I started on December 27 and we both are still going strong. The most helpful part for me was learning about the psychology of eating and how to break destructive cycles. I have employed a variety of the psych tricks and have truly changed many behaviors. The other helpful part is that this is a program I can make a way of life.

Frustrated. I have been on the program for six weeks and have not lost any weight. Granted, I only have 5 to 10 pounds to lose. Nonetheless no progress is frustrating. 52-yr old woman who has always exercised and still does. Maybe addressing the uphill battle an aging Female has maybe helpful.

This is the second ‘diet program’ I’ve tried. The only other being the 5:2 diet. I prefer Noom because it takes the stress and need for perfection. The fact that nothing is off limits takes away an incredible amount of stress. I love the science facts as well, being a nurse I know most of the information, but I’m finding more and more tidbits of new information along the way.

I was really excited about your program. I was doing quite well I think. But then out of the blue it kicked me out where I had already logged 71+ meals over my time. The program started it all over again like I only have 10 now, plus I lost all my Noom coins! I’m so frustrated and disappointed and am considering just dropping out altogether. Please advise.

I am enjoying following the Noom program. The articles are all very informative and relevant to learning about my relationship with eating and food. Although I have previously been in other weight loss programs, this experience is different. It is far more comprehensive and tackles the underlying issues of one’s patterns of eating. I am learning a lot whilst I am losing weight and changing my attitudes to eating.

Would like an option for notifications to finish day of food logging. There is no obvious way to see my answers from previous lessons. (When I tried to look back the fields were blank). Is there actually an incentive to the Noom coins? In general, I like the philosophy and the science is right. The cost is a significant deterrent.

I have learned a lot about portion control, weight fluctuations, how to push through plateaus and more. I have lost weight, and feel better. The food logging is tricky sometimes, but I’ve gotten better at it over time. My hope is that it will help me keep it off this time.

Love the new lifestyle and find the program to be easy to use and very helpful. Even at 75 I have learned things about myself that I am working on to continue in the aging process and remain as healthy as possible. My only suggestion for improvement is in regards to logging. I often log breakfast, an snack and lunch at lunch time, but to do this I need to go into one meal and completely out back to the main page to get to the next meal. It would be helpful if there was a way to choose the next meal without going all the way out.

I have been using Noom for about 3 months now, I find it hard to follow because as nice as it is to read and think about how certain things apply I find it extremely difficult not to practice the things I read for an amount of time before learning about a new topic. I am also at a plateau, but when I am not really thinking so strictly about logging and what I eat I seem to do better. I would also find it helpful to be able to search the food database while grocery shopping and making food choices. I also think it would be helpful to be able to use barcode scanner when entering recipe ingredients. It’s also frustrating to not be able to log 1/8 cup and 1/3 or 2/3 cup measurements of foods.

I am in the middle of the Noom refresher course. What I like about Noom is that they present an idea, give examples, give you the why’s, and then repeat consistently throughout the course. The repetition and real life examples allows to keep processing what I am learning as I implement new habits into my life.

I am mostly satisfied with Noom so far but I wish it could be a little more individualized. I also wish there were more options to find help. I have to admit, I was a skeptic of Noom and its success stories but after trying it for myself, I get it and I appreciate all of it. Noom doesn’t tell you what to do or how much to eat, it helps you understand what you could be doing and explains why. Support, guidance and a community is what Noom provides. The accountability with yourself in logging what you eat and understanding the caloric impact, tracking your steps, exercise and water intake, along with logging your weight every day... all equates to a more mindful existence.
I joined Noom just before the start of the new year and it’s not even March yet and I’ve lost 15-16lbs. And it’s no longer about the number on the scale. It’s about being healthier overall. Joining Noom was something I decided to gift myself... as a special needs mom of 2, I’ve struggled to find a balance and time for myself. Noom is like the unbiased friend and coach I desperately needed. I’m glad this exists and I encourage anyone on the fence to give it a try, put in an honest effort and you’ll see for yourself what Noom gets you to do without even forcing it.

Thorough. Each step I take with Noom I feel myself overcoming obstacles which would discourage my progress. I feel as I conquer each phase I am learning to control my relationship with food. My coach is great. She is supportive and available. She has provided extra incentive when needed.

I like Noom a lot. I appreciate the educational aspect and the ability to fit it in my day (you can adjust the amount of time you commit every day). The one thing that really irritates me is that it doesn’t save your input where you can access it later. It asks you to set goals or identify swap you can make, and you type them in, and then you never see them again. I can’t remember where I parked my car, let alone the goal I typed two months ago. If my goal for this week is to eat breakfast every day, why can’t there be a banner or easy way to at least access that goal somewhere?

So far my experience with Noom has been very positive. It’s been easy to log my food with their app. I love their food color system. I love all their lessons! It has really started to change my thoughts towards food. I love weighing myself every day now, even though I never thought I would. Seeing my weight graft that Noom provides in the app has been extremely helpful. I would recommend this program to anyone who is an emotional eater! I think the majority of us are in one way or the other. Noom helps you tackle those distorted thoughts and put them in perspective.

Can be overwhelming having to do everything on the app log Weight, meals, and doing lessons. I do like the psychology behind the lessons. Also having a coach assigned automatically is enjoyable as well. Connecting smart devices and including calories burned to calorie intake is very helpful as well.

I truly love this way of dieting. I feel less pressure but feel very empowered and motivated. I lost a lot of my logging when I got a new phone. My weight goals and actual weigh ins were lost. The measurements of food changed too. Just like Facebook I’m over all the social sharing. I’ll read others posts but minimally do my own. I like the added step I took having the one on one experience with my personal specialist.

I used to binge in the order of 5000 in a few hours. Since when I started Noom in December I experienced only a nominal number of episodes. This is huge for me. I am losing my 30 lbs effortlessly and more importantly, I eat regularly and in a way that feels safe and emotionally grounding and comforting. I am not ashamed anymore of my eating disorder because I am finally addressing it with courage and resilience.
Counting calories does not work for everyone; especially, it seems that it results in a negative way with those individuals experiencing struggles with an hyper control over their food intake and physical health. In my case, my digital food scale has become a trusted ally and I am comfortable bringing it around even when I am eating out. I normalized its use and it gives me peace of not ruminating about what I ate. Having lost weight is becoming secondary. I’m feeling fine with who I am and full of self compassion, and that is something to behold.

This program has helped me become more mindful about the food that I’m eating. Additionally, it is giving me lots of tips and tricks for controlling my thought distortions and helping me increase my self-worth. Since starting this program, I have eliminated sodas for my diet. I have increased the number of natural foods and decreased processed foods. I have started going to the gym regularly and lost 13 pounds so far. It has been crucial for me to have a coach. When I am struggling, she helps me see the reality of what’s going on and gives me permission to give myself grace when needed. It was also been nice being in a group chat. Being able to talk to other people with the same goals in the same process has been fantastic! It’s really nice to share thoughts and recipes and desires and struggles.

I originally signed up to not just lose weight but to become more fit by losing fat, not muscle. I was led to believe that if I paid additional monies I’d have a customized meal and workout plan. That was really misleading as I was just provided a bunch of workouts with descriptions of exercises along with a document of foods according to whatever food group you identified with. Not what I would call customized. And absolutely no meaningful macro information, which is key to maximizing health and fitness. I’m sure this is great for those who nearly have a goal to lose weight. That was not the original goal I shared with Noom, Unfortunately, I’m disappointed.

When I originally joined last summer, I found meal logging easier. The quick log option or size options seemed to be easier to find and select. I’ve also had the app crash after entering most of my meal. It’s happened 3 times.

Amber is my coach. My one on one. And she is wonderful. The program is very good but I am having personal problems following it because I am my husband‘s caregiver and I am exhausted and emotionally distraught. That being said I am trying to follow the program. I love when Amber checks in on me because I feel like somebody cares. I like the lessons even though I already know the information but the review, going over the lessons in my mind, really help. And I wouldn’t mind if Amber checked in on me more often but I understand that she has many people to check in on.

I am pleased with progress I am making. It has been difficult leaving behind sweets and it continues to be but I am learning to make better choices. Lessons have a lot of good information and a lot of cheerleader content I find ridiculous but maybe it appeals to some. I appreciate how in-depth Noom goes into creating a mental shift, to make this a lifestyle instead of a diet. I find it so much easier to focus on the color analysis instead of looking at the calorie count. It feels less stressful and more doable when I look at the colors as I am not a numbers person. Between the structure of the lessons and access to a Noom Coach, I feel I am benefiting greatly. I feel I have a non-judgmental accountability partner and the information is organized into manageable sizes. The activities are explained well, easy to implement and I find that I am able to have great success with them. My stress levels have definitely decreased. I also find it helpful that they have you created an “emergency plan” if you don’t open the app for a few days. However there is no stress or demand to participate every day. So if you need a break, it’s totally fine. Their commitment to creating a low/no stressful area is plainly seen.
I found that even if I wasn’t reading the articles or doing my activities, I was still texting my coach. That helps a lot to get things out of my mind and help me to organize my thoughts better. Then with their feedback, I can figure out a way to move forward and continue to benefit from the Noom Mood program. I recommend it for everyone. It is definitely worth the investment.

Going through all the various diets that I have already done, such as Atkins, fit for and general portion size control. This Noom system has definitely been the best way for a new eating habit. You can initially have your cake and eat it if follow the simple guidelines, you definitely need to keep track on your initial calorie intake and general portion sizes. This is exactly what I have been doing from the start. Anything that I wasn’t sure of, I google the food in question and assess the situation accordingly. I certainly don’t feel deprived from the Noom way of doing things, I have as a result experience a lot more energy and a sense of feeling light in my initial movement, even my personal doctor claim that I look a lot more healthier and vibrant since I started my new approach to food. I have Noom to thank for this. I don’t think or want to go back to my old ways ever again, again thank you.

I’m so disappointed. I’ve been religiously working this program and had had nearly zero results for over two months now. I’ve done EVERYTHING I’m directed to do with no discernible results. I’ve been consistently under my caloric intake, listen to the lessons almost daily, analyze my “color” consumption and nothing I do seems to work. I’m about to give up, AGAIN.

I’m pretty frustrated. Following program and not going over calorie count and stuck. One day I was up 1 and 1/2, when I only drop two tenths a day that sets me back a week, While the program is not restrictive, I must take Metamucil daily per doctor’s instructions, so that eliminates 60 calories in the red calorie each day.

Lost 100 gm in 6 weeks despite sticking with calories and steps, etc. Worst I’ve ever done in weight loss. I shed 13 kg in 6 months in 2020 with intermittent fasting. I still fast 16 hours when possible. Weight came back on after a medical problem in Sept 2020.

I love the fact that Noom keeps me accountable. They present me with the tools I need on a daily basis which I love. I have logged every meal and every snack since joining on January 13. As old as I am and as many diets as I have been on, I should know all the information they present…but I don’t! I am absolutely convinced if you really know why you overeat it’s easier not to do it. I’m on Noom for 5 months…and if they offer a program after the 5 months I will be signing up—-even though my weight should be where I want is in 4 months.

I’ve been using Noom for about 6 weeks now and so far it’s been really easy to used to track my meals. Can be finicky sometimes but it doesn’t last long. The app is super supportive and even has recipes and daily lessons help to educate you on how to sustain a healthier lifestyle for the long run not just while you’re dieting. I’ve been on the program for a little more than a month and my weight is fluctuating a lot. I’ve only lost 4.8 lbs, which is not a lot. I’m still not sure that Noom is really working for me. It’s very disappointing to lose 2 lbs and within the next two days to gain them back. I feel like I'm still in the same yo- yo I was before I started the program. I'm willing to continue and give it more time though.

I started this journey in July 2021 after finally realizing I needed to do something after nearly reaching 200 pounds. I’ve been wanting to work on lifestyle changes for a few years so Noom already fit with that mindset. I’m moving at my pace, learning a lot about myself, and have been able to lose 30 pounds! I really do enjoy Noom so far. I like how it focuses on the psychology of weight loss rather than just getting ridding of the weight ASAP with crazy diets. I enjoy the layout, it’s very easy to use. The only thing that I wish was a bit better is the 1:1 coaching. My coach takes a while to respond to me, like more than a day, and when I’m having a difficult day and I can feel myself slipping into bad habits, I would prefer to have someone who can respond to me faster. Plus I feel like the replies I get are all from a book, they don’t feel very personal. Other than that, I really do enjoy Noom, and I highly recommend it.

I have been working with NOOM since late last year. It has turned out to be a perfect plan for me! It helps me to see where I need to make adjustments to my eating and lifestyle in order to take off the weight that will make me a healthier person. I have done just about every weight loss program. Lost 100lbs twice and gained all the weight back each time. I then found Noom!! I have been on my Noom journey for about a month and a half. There are many great features to Noom. The educational material, the record keeping and calorie counter. However there are some assumptions made about their audience. Being a retired individual with grown children does not fit well in the assumed demographic. As a consequence some of the material does not speak to me. Overall this hurdle though slightly off putting is an acceptable exchange for the positive features mentioned above.

I tried Noom once before but shied away from the coaches because I wasn’t funny past the all or nothing mindset. This time around, working with Wendy has been key. The lessons make sense, the different colors of the foods are so helpful and I’m understanding what works for me and I don’t have to deprive myself! This is the way God intended eating. Know what is best for you and do it, but you have to understand your food and actions first!

After 4 years of being constantly unhappy with my weight and having a rare autoimmune disease that meant I was constantly taking ** (steroids) medically, I was really struggling. Since starting Noom I’ve already lost 4.3kg and I’m doing incredibly well and feeling far better for it. I feel healthier within myself and I have far better eating habits. I had no idea how much I was eating, which now when I look back is so scary. Even with low mobility I’ve been able to drop weight so far. It’s made a big difference and it’s a no gimmick, no fad approach. Just science and facts, which I love!

This is my second time on Noom. There has been great improvements since my first experience. The articles are more focussed and put in a queue for me. I like that. Also, it created a target for me to read every day instead of inundate me with reading. Much better than last time where I blame all the reading which put me off. I love the coins and of course map/visual path to mastering Noom. Lots of improvement can still be made in the recipes and group. I cannot flag my favourite recipes and when I go to cook it I often have to click through too many places to get there. I should be able to pull up the recipe from my meals log. Nope.
I also think calorie counting is helpful but obviously not accurate otherwise I wouldn’t be hovering at the same weight for a month. As for the group, it is too large and the pace is too fast for me. I feel like I have already fallen behind with everyone and now ignore the group pretty much. Especially after 50 more people joined it later. Sigh. I love though that I can go back to My coach for help, so that’s a plus and I feel I am getting my money’s worth. I would still like to lose weight though. :/

The plan offers structured focus. I am challenged to find ingredients when cooking at home that are in the food lists. I have lost weight but not as fast as I would like. I do like the program. I would like to see a list of low calorie choices for desert.

I’ve enjoyed the Noom course so far. I’ve learned a lot. Made plenty of additions vs what I can’t have. It’s not hard. It’s just different than what I have tried in the past. So far I am losing weight, feeling better and making better choices. The grocery game has been such an eye opener. I had no idea how much I didn’t know about what I was eating or why I was making those choices.

This has more to do with me than Noom. I find it difficult to follow and keep track as well as I would like. I have a poor relationship with time. It never feels like it allows me to comfortably track, read, go to the gym. I am looking for that perfect timing that allows me to do the things I would like to do for myself such as Noom or hobbies without worrying that I need to be getting other stuff done.

Would be so much more beneficial if we had Australian psychologist, that can understand what it’s like here and different environments etc x. They would also be on a similar timeline to me not almost opposite. Otherwise so far it’s been good x. I’ve noticed a few key areas I need to work on.

Noom combines the best support system I’ve ever experienced in my many years of trying to lose weight and that includes even the programs that have in person meetings. My 1 on 1 coach, group coach and group members offer wonderful encouragement and support. Hi. I am now a regular user of Noom and loving it. I only find it challenging or scope for improvement when it comes to food logging. I do not find many options in list which are from Indian or Asian food list and at times I also find them difficult to believe if their colour classification is accurate. For eg. 100plus isotonic drink is colour green while the Besan Kadi is rated colour red food. Is it something you can ask your team to look into. I also introduced Noom app to my friend who wants to manage and Monitor to increase his weight but his feedback to me is that Noom seem to cater to people interested to reduce weight and not other way around.

The only reason I wouldn’t give 5 stars is the value. The calorie counter is great, intuitive bar code reader a nice touch. I’m well on my way to my goal weight. I think the bot coaching is very lacklustre for the price. I asked very specific questions to achieving more exercise and received a stock answer telling me to pay even more money for personal training. In future I will probably just use the free version for a good calorie counter.

The things I like are the fact that you go by calories, so you can really eat what you want. The recipes are just ok. I feel that Weight Watchers recipes are a lot better and more variety. My weight loss is slow moving but it is winter and I do much better with exercise when the weather is nicer.

Noom got me to my goal weight in a slow but sure way and by making me more aware of what and how I was eating. I kept the weight off pretty easily for 6 months and then I was going through a transition period and started using food as an emotional crutch and my weight started to rise again so I decided to come back and get on track again and it has helped me get back into a good, healthy regimen.

I have not been overall happy with Noom. In over a month, I have lost four pounds. I follow what I’m supposed to do and rarely go over my allotted calories or zones. However, I can not move well due to waiting on upcoming back surgery. I will continue thru that and thru the time I paid for and if I don’t see better results, I will not renew. The teaching is great but a lot I have known. I do like the tracking but do not like the daily weigh ins.

I would like to rectify my review from before (previously gave two stars). I had previously been critical about Noom's "patronizing" tone but now I realize that it's just a result of a different sense of humor and corny jokes that don't land well. (It feels like when your manager tries to be funny and you have to force out a laugh to go with the flow. I just got the impression that these writers are the types of people who listen to NPR and try to cancel my favorite comedians. This is all based on personal preference and completely subjective, so I get that this isn't a valid criticism.)
I now understand that they genuinely mean well, and the cheesy tone is meant to keep you motivated. I still am not completely satisfied with the way Noom limits the monthly articles and gives you 3-4 per day (sometimes they aren't really informative either), so I kind of feel like I'm "stuck" on the monthly subscription in order to be able to complete the course. I also still maintain the prior criticism about how there isn't a differentiation between red foods that are more wholesome and nutritious (nuts, olive oil, coconut oil, whole-milk, high-fat no sugar yogurt) versus red foods that are highly processed and contain high fructose corn syrup and other chemical additives.
With that said, I feel like I owe Noom at least a 4 star rating because despite a few shortcomings, it has been a great source of motivation. The small changes it inspired me to make helped me lose 5 pounds throughout my 2 month journey. Incorporating psychology into the nutrition lessons was motivating and very insightful as well. Even though it was very basic psychology (and most intro psych courses cover these concepts), being reminded of how we think, and how these psychology concepts can be applied to the way we eat helped me to make impactful and lasting changes for my health. 5 pounds doesn't seem like a lot, but I feel a lot healthier and stronger mentally, and I believe that the outer results will come when my inner health becomes more fulfilled.
I also have to give credit to Noom's calorie tracker - it is very easy and quick to use. I used to be wary about calorie counting but Noom helped me to realize that tracking calories is about being mindful rather than restrictive, and it's allowed me to take a more positive view towards counting calories. I may disagree with how sometimes Noom seems to overrate carbohydrate consumption, but there are many viewpoints in nutrition literature anyway and many of Noom's other article points align with what I've read.
I would recommend Noom to a specific subset of my friends. For those who are already in the fitness world and familiar with eating psychology, I might advise them to pass unless they want a friendly motivational tool. However, I would definitely recommend it to my friends who might be in a similar position as I was as a college undergrad - overindulging in food and trying to exercise it off, with a very limited knowledge about food science and behavioral psychology. Although I have mixed feelings about the product, I still owe it to Noom to give it 5/5 stars for the help it gave me on my fitness journey.

How could one little app be packed with so much content, science, recipes, community, coaching and motivation? I would not have believed it until I experienced it. I am only in week five, but Noom is helping me lose weight and realize a healthy diet is a lifelong commitment, not a brief stint designed to lose weight for a single event. Whatever your age, gender, eating preferences (I’m vegetarian), learning style or personality, the app crafts a weight loss and weight maintenance plan tailored to fit you. You also cannot beat the cost—way more responsive and affordable than a gym membership or fitness coach.

Really enjoying the program so far. Love the accountability with tracking meals and weighing every day. The modules also help to put things in new perspectives or provide useful ways to approach weight loss/healthy eating. My coach is fine—the score was more reflective of how much we engage but do appreciate the support when provided. My least favorite things are the group messages and meal measurement options. With the group messages, I value the importance of group support but I don’t feel comfortable sharing with a group of strangers with different approaches to this program. Also there are times when adding in food is challenging simply bc of the unit options given. Otherwise very happy with this program overall.

Keeps me coming back and accountable. Love the weight chart- even though I did not have a lot of success in the beginning. Still working at it but though the results seem small I’m not having trouble staying motivated. The calorie counter and meal log is great. I often look items up here before I make my menu choices. I like that the weight chart has the comment box. If I ever want to look back I’m making notes there.

I have never done fad diets because I knew they don’t work. Many years ago I joined WW and I did lose some weight but it became very clear to me in the group talks that there was zero psychological support and I realized that’s what I needed. It has taken a very long time for a program like Noom. I’m very pleased with the program. I have done enough healthy dieting to know that going slowly in weight loss is what keeps the weight off. With that in mind I imagine at this point that once my 8 or 9 paid months are up I won’t be anywhere near my goal weight. I am trying to learn everything I can and put it into practice. I know once the snow is gone I’ll be moving a ton more. I’ve already lost 30 lbs on my own. I’m morbidly obese and a senior so I know I have challenges. The program has been very helpful and it is absolutely needed for anyone who wants to keep weight off.

I am very happy with my time at Noom. I especially like the logging in system. I appreciate my personal goal helper. I find the group interaction too large and tend not to participate or interact as often. I also find it harder to navigate. I spend too much time trying to find something.

I signed up for Noom early in the year. I needed to lose about 20 pounds as my health really starts to get borderline when I cross a certain weight threshold- which I had. I had tried a low-carb diet which actually worked but I felt it was not sustainable as there were so many restrictions on food I loved, like fruit. Noom has worked great for me. The things I find particularly useful are the daily readings (I find these motivating), the ability to plan my meals and snacks at the start of the day, the ease of adjusting between red, green and yellow foods, and the chat features. I am successfully losing weight, enjoying the process, and optimistic that I can use Noom long term to keep my weight in line. Finally I was thrilled to see I could link this to my health care insurance plan. I would recommend Noom to anyone.

All my data disappeared while I was out sick. Not that this really mattered because I was not losing anyway. I deleted the app and redownloaded but didn’t work. I need a lot more help with nighttime temptations. Eating healthy is so confusing for me. Cost! Keto! Mediterranean? Low Fat? Need to know how to mentally feel satisfied.

I am enjoying Noom so far. I’ve been on it for 4 weeks and lost 4.5 pounds. The coaches are quick to respond and post lots of helpful information. Tracking your calories is very straightforward. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I am confused about why for every calorie you burn you get half a calorie added to your calorie budget. I was always told to eat a calorie for every calorie I burned. Other than that I have enjoyed the experience on Noom.

I really like the psychology behind this program. It’s really helping me recognize behaviors with my eating that I had never thought about. So, it’s really helped me. I do not like the interface. The barcode scanner tracking is clunky, inaccurate and not easy to access. The recipe importer is absolutely trash. MFP has a great importer and one can use a web address or copy/paste function to bulk import ingredients. I suggest following that model. I really don’t care for my specialized coach. I feel as tho they are parroting my responses and not really that helpful. I have lost - total of 3 pounds since January 8 and that is discouraging. I wonder lately if it’s the tracker. I think I maybe eating more calories that is being tracked using the scanner.
Overall, I think this program has great potential. I’m neutral as for my experience since my weight loss is almost non existent, but I don’t totally blame the program. My age and metabolism play a role as well. Keep working on it. The foundation is solid. Just a few tweaks and Noom will be even better.

My experience is fair. Add-ons were useless: not really Paleo or Keto so I abandoned. My own workouts are better. The coach, while well meaning, doesn’t show up for days and rarely responds with anything useful. I’m staying well below my calories and the scale hasn’t moved all week. Right now, rather disappointed.

I feel like we need more direction on food earlier and the directions. Also I feel as though I’ve gotten very little feedback for the coaching staff. I’ve also yet to login with my food which is on me but I’m hoping to get there either this weekend or on Monday. I am keeping up with my exercise but I’m not even bother to put in my step count. I’m not sure the weight loss trajectory slope correlates or takes into account any of the exercise. If you could elaborate that on that I would be thankful. Thank you.

I started using Noom exactly 1 month ago. I was told by a colleague of mine whose uncle used it to lose weight. I was skeptical at first about being on “a diet” but I thought I’ll give it a try. I read some reviews and then decided to download the app. Since using Noom my outlook on food has changed. The daily articles really expose some deep rooted issues I never knew I had with food. Logging the meals daily really help you identify foods that you should be eating more or less of. And weighing daily helps keep me accountable (knowing that I will weigh in tomorrow May help me overcome the temptation to eat a pizza tonight). The groups are fun and I have seen a 13lbs weight loss in one month. It works!

I, like many others, have gone through diet after diet always going up and down in weight. Noom has been the first program I have committed to and stuck with. I can’t say I have had dramatic weight loss however if I look at my past efforts fast weight loss has not worked in the long haul. I am being patient and I know in my heart that these steps will not only get me to my goal but I will maintain it for the first time. I believe so strongly that the psychology of eating is so much more important than the mechanics of eating.

In addition to logging meals which is easy, the lessons cover the psychology of behaviour - both positive & negative which is key to changing habits which can derail me. I haven’t found this very helpful. After a month, I’ve lost no weight. My coach was horrible and I had to request to change him. I do the readings every day, I track my food, and weigh in. I meet my calorie goal just about every day. I workout regularly. No weight loss. It’s really disappointing. I don’t find the group supportive either and it feels like the group coach is forcing participation.

It’s OK so far. Haven’t really noticed any improvement in mood or decrease in anxiety. Coaches likely have too many clients to be able to provide any kind of meaningful feedback. I was a little surprised that results were expected after only 3 or 4 weeks.

I was sceptic when I started Noom but after a month I’ve lost 12 lb in weight and have not felt this good about myself in a long time. I have my own coach wHo talks through any issues I have and she has helped me stay on track to hit all my goals. I eat more food then I’ve eaten in a long time. It’s just better food at the right times so it’s doing the right job is giving me energy when I need it and helping me rest when I don’t need the energy. I’m physically disabled and had been told by so many people I couldn’t lose weight without exercise. Well I’m proving them wrong with the help of Noom. If you buy yourself one present this year make it Noom.

I have always had a hard time sticking to eating better or holding my self accountable for how much I would eat. I was a mindless eater! Never sticking to counting calories. I’ve tried other apps for logging meals but never stuck with it. With Noom I enjoy the daily lessons. They help me understand why I would mindlessly eat. So far my experience with Noom is good. I have lost about 10 pounds. I find the entry of my meals and calorie tracking the most helpful. Some of the psychology tricks and articles are OK and somewhat helpful. The coaching is also helpful.

I’ve had Noom a couple of times. The first time I had subscribe to Noom I found that the cards move too fast and I wasn’t able to really engage with my coach. The second time around I guess they made lots of improvements because now with the cards only moving if I’ve unlocked them helps a lot. Noom coin is interesting and will see if that’s useful or not. It seems that I’m not entirely sure how that works but it doesn’t seem to be anything special. My only issues is that goal specialists Are not very challenging and while it’s neat that they are judgment free and they tend to just ask questions in order to get you to do changes I don’t feel like they understand I need someone to kind of be more aggressive with me in accountability.
Noom is about eating well. Logging food is centered generally around food that is manufactured. And some foods are found under two or more spellings. Chick-fil-A for example is found in two ways of spelling. But what if you don’t eat out? What support, encouragement is there? Shouldn’t making you own cookies be better than buying them? I mean generally? So most of my time is consumed entering in new recipes with calorie counts etc. I am not sure what to do here except that it seems like there should be some way to make this easier. How to edit a recipe isn’t clear. If I edit a recipe do my calorie counts get adjusted in the past? Maybe that shouldn’t matter but it could for the same day that you’re tracking things. It would be better to do a verbal interview with folks so there’s more information they can provide.

I’ve been using Noom for about a month and a half now, and I’ve seen tremendous progress so far. On the scale, a I’ve lost about 15 lbs, but more importantly I think Noom is helping me develop habits and mindsets that will allow me to sustain a healthier lifestyle I hope indefinitely. I especially like the way Noom 1) gets you into a good routine around weighing in, logging calories, reading their lessons, and drinking water, 2) the availability of 1:1 nutrition coaches, and 3) the support group of fellow Noomers so you have a feeling of broader support and community.

I really thought the 1:1 coach would be more proactive and helpful. I don’t feel like I have gained anything from her during my experience. The group coaching seems very congested and difficult to follow and stay up to date with. I wish the group member count was much less.

I have not lost any weight. I am doing everything my coach says. This doesn’t work for me. I drink the water. I walk 6-7 miles each day. I watch what I eat and stay within the calorie budget. Nothing. Not one pound.

My experience with Noom has been generally positive. I have appreciated the lessons, and the accountability for tracking my food, water, exercise, and weight. All of those things are a huge part of my progress so far. And I am seeing progress. That progress is on par with what I would expect given my personal goals, so I am pleased with that.
I do think there are some issues with the food tracking system that could be worked out. It is pretty good, but there are a lot of errors In the database, and sometimes it is challenging to put in a different amount than the amount that is given in the shortcuts. The only other complaint I have is about having a personal Noom coach. I haven’t met one even though I asked for one. I’m not sure if I’m missing something, or if there’s some kind of an issue that needs resolved, but I know I was asked about one, and I haven’t yet had someone with him I’ve been able to build that coach relationship with. I would love that as part of Noom.

I find it difficult to log food. Many items are not found i.e. instant Quaker oats and Schlotzsky’s salad. Some of the items have wrong information. And when I scan an item it does not always save the item for the next use. Food logging has been a big source of frustration for me on the Noom program.

My diet was unbalanced when I began because of years of carb restriction and later adding keto. I was eating far less green foods than I thought and was regularly overeating. Noom helped show me what I was doing. I also learned very helpful concepts and let go of incorrect notions about certain foods. The positive and yet realistic motivational support and the education about behavior and triggers were helpful. I love that all of this is organized into a nutrition course on an app. I do it all on my phone. I’ve been able to modify my diet fairly easily and I steadily lost weight. About 10 11lb so far. Being able to see progress with a graph helped as well as the quizzes. It’s really been very helpful. I like being able to set my own goals in terms of time spent which allows flexibility with fitting it in to my schedule. The recorded mini lectures are useful and I like the tone, positive with a bit of humor. A great course and app all around. Thank you.

I’m a little disappointed in what you get for $50 per month. There is very very little one on one. I hear from a coach one a week for 1 message. Any communication is 1 message per week. I really like the lessons and the app, but I’m doing everything myself so I think I’m paying a lot for just an app.

Been a great experience this far. The plan is very simple and the real education on food has been a game changer for me. I went from a horrible diet to craving the good stuff in just a month. I wish there was an easier way to log a meal with the different ingredients used. I.e. if I log kale sausage soup it is always yellow, and usually makes out my yellow foods when the majority of the ingredients are green.

It is a good app. I’ve lost and gained weight a lot. Noom holds me accountable. Enforces ideas I may know but reminds me how to practice them like parking farther away. Getting in steps. Multi tasking while watching tv w weights or squats during commercials. Biggest thing is the volumetric eating aka water based foods so that you are full. Lots more fruits and vegetables and I’m back on oatmeal. I plan for meals out and events using the meals to track what I will eat later in that day so I don’t completely blow my calorie budget. I’ve lost 5 or 6 lbs in a month. I’ve been to parties. BBQs. Ate cake ice cream, drank vodka wine. Ate chips. It is working. A few things - the steps app seems off. Doesn’t always count steps. Also my 1:1 coach is not really around.

I start Noom because I need help changing my relationships to eating, food and dieting. Noom has helped me see why I eat, what I eat and why I am eating. Noom has helped me learn that I can change all these things and more. I no longer feel like I am dieting, but I’m learn to make healthier choices to real a goal. Noom has taught me to not ditch the plan because of slip ups, but reset and continue on. I highly recommend Noom and the psychological approach to weight loss. The group coaches and the personal coach concept excellent. The cost of the program is very affordable.

It would be great that when we add food to the Noom database it then showed up. Also when you log food and then check your analysis you have to go all the way back out and get back in if you weren’t finished logging food. Sometimes before I eat it I will check but then I’m forced back out and have to start back over.

I am only 6 weeks into my Noom experience and so far I am extremely pleased with the experience. The app is relatively easy to use and I am enjoying the daily classes. I appreciate the added support from our group and coaches. One thing I wish was different would be the ability to enter recipes, or check on the category of a food while in the grocery store, without having to go to the daily meal plan first. Thank you.

I am enjoying my Noon experience even though I am losing weight very slowly. I am learning so much and feeling more free than I have with other programs. I love the nonjudgmental atmosphere and the support of the coach. The psychological aspect of this particular program is nothing I ever would have considered before.

I came across this app on IG and at first I was like “yeah just another weight loss app…” but then I took a look and I got hooked. The fact that it uses psychology to make you understand why/what you eat the way you do, has really help me understand myself. My coach is fantastic, we talk every week about how it’s going and then the group chat where there is so much support from other Noomers and another coach is great. I’m not big on or great at sharing but just reading through the chat and seeing that I’m not alone in this journey, is amazing and it makes me want to share as well, both the good and the bad days. I fully recommend this app if you want to take the reins when it comes to your health/weight.

The Noom app is wonderful - easy to use, very comprehensive, and as interactive as you want it to be. It isn’t as easy as a pill that dissolves all my fat … but since that doesn’t exist and I have to lose weight the “hard way”, Noom is the best I’ve used to date!

I decided after New Years that I wanted to commit to my weight loss for good this time. I have struggled in the past sticking to it after I’ve lost weight and it’s come back on and more. I saw an add for Noom on Facebook and did a lot of reading and looking at reviews. I realized that I have a significant addiction to soda and other unhealthy habits that needed to be looked at more deeply. So far with Noom I do wish that I had more direct contact with my coach for helping out and cheering me on, however I’m really going through the lessons everyday and working on becoming more patient and working through some of my issues myself. I had a bit of a set back in my 3 and 4th week where I just seemed stuck but my coach made a few suggestions and after trying them I’m happy to say that the weight is slowly coming off as well as my behavior is changing to help make this more lifelong.

Since starting Noom, Less than 2 months ago I am down 20 lbs. I find it easy to follow because you get to develop your own plan and address the things that challenge you most. Noom helps you to focus on a health plan you can live with for life not just what you need to do to lose weight.

While I am a scratch cook and know a lot about nutrition, Noom has helped me to understand better how to recalibrate the balance of healthy foods with the amount of fat and sugar I use in daily cooking and eating. I have developed new habits that can sustain me over time. I feel better with the weight I have lost. My clothes fit better, too! My group and my group coach have kept me positive with wonderful tips and encouraging support. I am glad I signed up for this program!

Noom has added detailed tracking support and strategic psychology coaching that has assisted me in understanding and breaking through plateaus. Makes you think for yourself. Gives you the tools needed to understand your choices. I have been gaining weight for a long time and was unable to stop the scale from edging up. The scales has started going the other way now. The last set of clothes I bought are all big now. I love that it provides me with a different way to look at things. Definitely would do it again.

This has been the best experience in terms of manageability, of anything I have tried to date to lose weight. I am a 65 yr. old who is very sedentary. I also have had weight loss surgery with weight re-gain to address. Fingers crossed I will succeed with Noom to guide me.

Got very sick with the flu and am just getting back on track. Love the program it helps me to get past all of my negative thoughts and really helps with my all or nothing thinking. I am very private and am having some trouble communicating with the group.
