    Hear.com has been wonderful. They sent me a monitor so that they could interact with me. We'd set up appointments and they could see me and I could see them. They've done everything they said they would to help me. I had some problems with my hearing aids staying in, so they hooked me up again and showed me how to put these little things on the hearing aids that help them stay in my ear. The people have been so responsive to me. They're always there when they say they're gonna be, and if I call and I have a question, they get back to me. If they're not available right then, someone calls and helps me. It's been great.

    The hearing aids came with charger. Every night before I go to bed, I put them in the charger and they're all charged up and ready in the morning. Besides that, the cost of the hearing aids was a little expensive. I've never had hearing aids before and I'm on Medicare, but I don't have insurance for hearing. However, I didn't have to pay the full amount at one time. Because of my hearing and how well Hear.com has worked for me, I'm set up with a bank that takes out monthly payments to pay for them.

    My experience with working with Hear.com was way above exceptional. The reps were really excellent. They were very responsive, called a lot, and put a lot of attention in it. We had trouble having the hearing test because some of the computer equipment malfunctioned and we had to get a new one. They were amazing with their service and their help. The hearing aids I got are rechargeable, and I like them better than the first set I got. There's a charging case and I put them in the case and the case charges it. I plug the case up at night when I get home, and it charges, so they're hot the next morning.

    I’ve had hearing aids from two companies for over twenty years. Hear.com, my new choice, is offering me the best aids. My initial online search led to a representative by phone who described the whole process. It must have been over thirty minutes of complete information along with friendly chatter. All my questions were satisfactorily addressed. Leading up to my first appointment were emails reiterating the visit. You would think my birthday was approaching. The exam was thorough, as the other companies until I tried Hear’s on. Completely crisp and clean sounding. And, $2,000. less than the others. Free monthlong wearing. She said it often takes up to two weeks for the brain to adjust. I’d say my brain caught on after two days.

    I needed a TV box with my previous pair and asked how much Hear’s would cost. She simply said, “Let’s try these out first…”. Boy, was she right. Forgot the extra charge for the box. The app is wonderful. New for me is setting the direction…all around, back or just front. Eating out with friends is no longer struggling to hear the conversations. And, I don’t need to smile when everyone is because I’m able to hear the humorous story. Very, very satisfied.

    After many years of frustration with hearing aids, a friend recommended that I try Hear.com. I am glad he did. The new hearing aids are significantly superior to anything else I had before. Although the whole process of getting the new devices occurs over the internet via zoom -- from hearing tests, checking ear wax, fitting the hearing aids, making needed adjustments and resolving any issues -- it was both very effective and efficient.

    Initially, everything was done on the phone and then I told them I'd prefer to see a person. Fortunately, just five minutes up the road from where I live, there is a Hear.com building. I went there personally and got everything done there. The tech there is great. She's always available, enjoyable, very knowledgeable, professional, and comfortable to be with. The hearing aid has different modes, speech, and panoramas. It also has a music mode. I can hear clearly in a room with others and I have the ability to stream from my television. It offers a lot and the features work very well. I would encourage others to use Hear.com.

    When I went to HearUSA, the rep was very good at what she did. She gave me a test and we went through it. It seemed like it was in more detail. I spoke to somebody at the office and I told them that what I was really looking for was a hearing aid with Bluetooth and rechargeable batteries. They had that by the time I got there. I was tested once I put them on. The rep went through several things and made some adjustments.

    I went back the next day and the next week. The rep told me, "If you need to just write notes or something, even if they seem fairly insignificant, I wanna hear about them." That was what I did when I went back and she made adjustments. She wanted another follow-up, and after that, another follow-up. I am very happy with what I have, especially since my insurance company covers it now.

    Dealing with the reps at Hear.com was excellent. They answered every question I had without exception. I got a very expensive pair of hearing aids. It's listed at $7,500. I vowed I would not accept any hearing aids unless I would be able to carry on conversations at a table in a restaurant and I did not accomplish that. But I lost track of time and the 45-day warranty expired. I was very happy with Hear.com but I'm not that happy with my hearing aids. My major problem is asking people to repeat themselves and hearing in a noisy restaurant. And neither one of those is working very well.

    I have hearing aids with a rechargeable battery and I put them on in the morning and recharge them when I go to bed. I have them on all day and they've never gone dead. I have had occasions when I went away overnight. During the daytime, if I'm traveling by automobile and if I don't feel like I need them at the time, I'll turn one off to save the battery. I need them for the wireless TV and that way, I can hear TV in the morning when I get up until the other one is charged.

    I have been having some hearing problems and I said, "Oh, all right. Well, we'll give it a shot." So, I contacted Hear.com through text and they put me in contact with the local hearing company. The guy at the hearing store said, "Okay, these are the hearing aids," and he gave the ones from Hear.com to me. I'm very pleased with these. It's very small, behind-the-ear with a little wire tube that goes into my ear, and a little tip on it. It's very comfortable and easy to get used to. I like that I don't have to worry about the features. They just work. They help my hearing. The one thing that I'm very pleased with is the use with my phone. I tell my grandchildren that I do not have hearing aids, I have very expensive earbuds. With my hearing aids, I stopped saying, "What, what, what? Excuse me, what?" They're a huge help.

    I worked with an audiologist. It was very nice, answered my questions, and gave me a lot of good information. Hear.com sent me a great, big box of stuff, including a pad. So I had direct contact with them to ask questions and have lessons and just talk with them. I paid more for this one than the first company. But the first company was useless. They weren't as helpful and there wasn't as much training or discussion between us. It wasn't worth the difference in the price to me. I did get the hearing aids and I had 45 days to use them or return them, and I returned them. Then when I got the ones I have now from iHEAR, they're wonderful. I heard crickets for the first time this summer in years. The hardest person for me to hear before was my son. I was always asking him, "What?" or "Huh?" Apparently, it's the pitch of his voice. Now, I can hear him much better. I can hear everything much better.

    I called Hear.com and they sent me the information and how to proceed. It was so smooth and easy, and I didn't have to get in the car and drive to an appointment and sit in an office and wait. They sent me an iPad that I was to keep for 45 days. It had an attachment that I would stick in my ear and they could see into my ear as if they were there. It would show up on their screen. So, it was all very scientific. They just didn't hear my word, they saw. And it was at the time that they said they would meet me online, and I had several meetings online. They told me that with this box also came the hearing aids, everything I would need. And I was not to bother anything until I face-to-face with her on my iPad.

    They showed me how to do everything, how to put them in. I went through all that. And she also tested my hearing at that time. She agreed my hearing was not bad. It just needed a little boost so I wouldn't ask them to keep repeating. And it was much simpler than going to an office. I felt comfortable. I sent back the box with the iPad. Kept the hearing aids. Everything happened on time when I was told it would happen. And I had lots of calls from them wanting to know how the hearing aids have been doing, and I've never had a problem. I put them in in the morning and take them out at night. Sometimes, I forget to take them out at night, which speaks well of the product, and I would get in bed and I can hear my breathing too good. I get up and take them out.

    Part of the reason I went with Hear.com was the price and part of it was the good service and the educated people. I wanted the best hearing aids.     I hear 50% better with the hearing aids that I have now than I did before. In a crowd, I wasn't able to hear any conversation, but now I can. I'm now able to hear the content of the speech on the television which I could not before. The hearing aids turned out to be a better product than what I was used to. The price that I paid for them was reasonable and the service with Hear.com has been excellent. The only one thing that bothers me is I hear better without it on the phone.

    Their audiologist was very nice and fair. They did all the testing they were supposed to do and everything's working out okay. They sent everything and followed up for several months. We had a meeting every week for them to make sure that I was doing okay. They took my insurance payment and I set up a payment plan for the balance. The hearing aid is easy to wear and you can't tell that I'm wearing it. It's on the outside of the back of my ear with a small wire into my ear.

    I had used Hear.com in the past when I had my first set of hearing aids. They started going in-home where they sent the kit and video conference, and I really like that. That worked out great. I went with a different hearing aid style but it's still the same type of on-the-ear hearing aid. They did send me a free gift pack. I got earbuds and a three-year supply of rubber coatings. I'm happier this time than the first time. The first time, there wasn't as much follow-up. Then, they just sent me to an audiologist in Madison, and that was the only contact that we'd had. I'm happy with the hearing aids. It’s more than I expected. The cost is always too much, but they seem to be working really well, and that's what I was after. So, I'm happy with them right now. I would recommend Hear.com if somebody called and asked me about them.

    Their response has been good. Since purchasing the hearing aid, I like being able to hear in a group or be in a conversation. I work with Monica. Every time I've called, she's answered. If I've got a question or if I need to have the hearing aids adjusted, I call her. She sets up an appointment for me. I've had a couple of problems with the hearing aids and I went back and they adjusted it. Everything was fine.

    Took the free trial and hearing aids worked pretty good. Was never given any pricing information until the hearing aids actually arrived. Was never given any instructions about how to care for hearing aids which I would find out is pretty important. Had an issue with my hearing aids and was given an online appointment. The special tablet they said I needed for the appointment never arrived by the appointment date. They gave me a new date and I was logged onto the call but nobody ever showed up. The next available appointment they said was over a month away. This is unacceptable. What am I supposed to do, not use my hearing aids for a month? This company is understaffed. I am sure there are much better companies out there who do not run on a shoestring budget like Hear.com. You just cannot run this type of operation with an online presence only.

    I've had five pairs of hearing aids and this is, by far, the best service I've had. The Bluetooth on it is much better. I'm not continually reconnecting it. The service has been exemplary. They were with me every step of the way. I was very hesitant to buy hearing aids online and I wouldn't have without the 45-day return clause. But when they sent that package complete with the virtual pad and all the instruments for testing, I was impressed as hell. There was a tablet, a bone connectivity module, in-the-canal camera and the hearing cuffs, and the whole thing was done virtually. It was pretty amazing. Among other things, I'm a shooter, and I wear very heavy ear protection cuffs when I shoot. The cuffs that they sent for the hearing test were better than anything I've ever put on. I was very confident in them. I like the speech feature on them because it blocks out a lot of peripheral noise.

    Hear.com continues to follow up. When I told them about a minor problem with ear cups that hold it in my ear kept popping out because I have large ear canals, they sent something overnight. I've got some larger ones with instructions on how to change them out and they worked ideally. Every exchange I've had with them has been very, very positive by very positive people. I didn't get any high-pressure sales crap. I told them what my hearing was, which is extremely poor, and they set me up with what I needed. Plus it's about half the price of anything I've ever had before. Now, people aren't screaming at me anymore, and everybody in the house can sleep because the TV's turned down.

    The Hear.com hearing aids cost a little less than Miracle-Ear and I ended up getting my products from somebody who was not that far away. So, the drive to do that and to get a re-check about a month later was not bad at all. All worked out and s far, the units are working. They got a month off because I didn't take them on vacation with me for three weeks since I didn't want to lose them.

    I was pleased with the attention and help I got from Hear.com. It's wonderful to be able to hear again. They were with me the whole way. The hearing test was done online. It was a Zoom meeting. They talked to me, and we discussed everything. They sent me the equipment. And it even had an adapter that went in my ear so they could see what was going on inside. At one point I had to have an adjustment and they also did that online. So, it was a great experience. My hearing aid works with the Bluetooth on my smartphone. And there’s an app that I can control all the hearing and situations I'm in. I also like that it's rechargeable.     I have significant hearing loss in both my ears. I went to Hear.com for the convenience of having everything sent to my home. When you buy the hearing aids, there's a trial period and you do some fine-tuning. They pre-set the hearing aids and you have some minor adjustments on your phone with an app. Those are very helpful. The process took a month. I'm not quite sure that my hearing aids are perfectly done but they're pretty good. Now that I've been using them a bit, I'm wondering about some stuff so I am thinking about calling Hear.com back.

    I got the over-the-ear hearing aids and they're rechargeable. The only thing is they move and fall out quite a bit. I'm really wondering if an in-the-ear type might be a better choice for me. That's one of the things that I was gonna ask Hear.com. Mine does not stay in my ear very well. Just for my lifestyle, I might need a different kind of hearing aid. I would recommend to friends to try Hear.com, even though mine are not totally dialed yet. They're better, though. Hear.com is worth it. The gal that I worked with was excellent. The hearing aids were $6,000, which is not cheap. insurance companies should cover hearing aids because it's a body part.

    Hear.com seemed like a good company and I gave them a try to see if they were better than the hearing aids that I had. My experience went much better than I expected. I really like the person I dealt with to get my hearing aid set up. She was excellent and very detail-oriented. I got everything answered that I wanted answered before we finally concluded that series of meetings. I was very pleased with everything. The timing was very good on everything. My hearing aids are far superior to what I had. My main complaint before was I could not hear people when I was in a group like when we were sitting around the table having a conversation. Now, I can. Also, the hearing aids are a lot cheaper than the other ones that I had. Hear.com also did insurance. My other hearing aid people wouldn't do that.

    The gentleman from Hear.com did a test which took 15 minutes and he was super. I got the over-the-ear hearing aids and they can be paired with the phone. He calls and checks on it every so often, and whenever I have a problem, all I do is call him and he gets me right in to get it taken care of. The cost was way more than what I've spent on any other but I’m not sure if it fits the quality because the hearing aids all of a sudden just quit working. I couldn't get them to go up or down, and they're at that point right now again. I'm waiting for the gentleman to call me back to get it fixed again. It happens about every three months. But when they are working, they’re okay. There are some things that are just not gonna come through. It does not matter what I get.

    I'm very happy with Hear.com, and this is the bald-faced truth. Other hearing aid companies (for instance, the one that was promoted by my health care organization) never kept appointments or returned calls. On the other hand, the group of people from Hear.com is with you all the way from the very beginning, and it's excellent. If I have a problem, they take care of it. I just call the number that I have and someone gets right back to me the same day. The girl who comes out regularly to see me, Sonia, goes over any problems I'm having, then she adjusts things and the problem goes away. I don't know what I'd do without her.

    I've bought three other hearing aids from three other companies, and I'm keeping the ones I got from Hear.com. I went with the ones that go behind the ear, and I like the feature that all the sound and the ringer come from my phone. For the first time in a long time, I can hear my phone ring and it's wonderful. I can carry on business conversations as a rule, but today is a bit of an exception. My hearing aids are acting up, and I don't know what's going on. Sometimes the atmosphere or something in this neighborhood really interrupts, and today is one of those days. Besides that, the hearing aids are very comfortable. Sometimes I forget I have them in and I go to bed, then all of a sudden, I'm getting wooshing noises and realize I've still got my hearing aids in.

    The hearing aids are expensive, but I don't care what they cost. They're worth every penny. The quality is way above average, and it makes it possible now to communicate with my 11 great grandchildren and people around me. After having a conversation with my five-year-old great grandchild for the first time in about four years, I'm totally happy.

    Hear.com has had nothing but a very positive impact on my life. I was withdrawing from contact with people because I knew I couldn't hear them, and it's also very aggravating to people to have to keep repeating. Now, I'm back in the flow of society, and I'm volunteering at places and making phone calls. I've noticed that other people with hearing problems are reacting the same way I was. They're drawing back. They're not going towards that counter to ask questions or communicate about a question that they may have regarding products because they know they can't hear. My advice to people is to go for Hear.com. They should get one.

    I purchased a set of hearing aids for approx $4,900 from Hear.com. In the beginning, the service was great. My on-line test went fine, I was getting my questions answered and they were checking in on me: if not daily, then several times per week. My “rep” was returning my calls (in some cases, from home), answering emails in a timely fashion, etc. All seemed as it should. The problem began when I decided to return them, a full 7 days before the end of the 45 day trial. I called to tell them that I was returning the hearing aids. I was told to just “set them on the porch and UPS will come and get them.” That didn’t sound like a good idea and I expressed that. I was told that he would send me a return label via email. I waited nearly an entire day with no label. I called back and was told that it could take up to 24 hours.

    The weekend went by and I called again on Monday. I was told then that it could actually take up to 48 hours. I waited that day (now we’re down to 4 days) and into the following day. Nothing. I reached out to my rep and she tells me that she will personally reach out to “logistics” to have them expedite. She told me that I shouldn’t worry, that she would notify her supervisor of the problems that I had been having and that she could extend the trial period for another week. I waited until the following day and still no return label not from hear.com and not from UPS, and nothing in my junk folder. I now have 2 days. I ask the rep (via email) for the physical address of where to send the hearing aids to. A few hours go by and I reach out again. I am then given the physical address.

    Now, I could have rested on the extension promise made by the rep, but what if she didn’t have the authority to grant me that extension? What if her boss overrode it? What if she left the company? I just wasn’t going to risk $4900 on a verbal promise. So, I went into town and wound up spending $139.00 to have them shipped via 2 day air to get them back to hear.com in time.

    Note: Later, when I made my complaint to customer service management, they told me that “logistics” had sent (via email) the return label. Come to find out, they supposedly sent it the day BEFORE I communicated with my rep about not having it. Did she actually reach out to logistics? Did they communicate that they had already sent it? She knew the concern I was having over getting these back in time. She honestly didn’t think to call me and tell me that? How much time would that have taken? It certainly would have saved me a trip to town and $139.00.

    Then…once I confirmed that hear.com had received the hearing aids within the required time, several days went by and I had heard nothing from hear.com. I called to find out what the refund policy was and how long it would take for our account to be credited. Nobody could tell me. I send multiple emails to my rep, asking the same. No response. I kept calling and emailing. Nothing. Honestly, I was starting to wonder if they had gone out of business and I would be out $4900.00.

    At this point, I was sooooo relieved that I had spent the money to ensure that they go there within the 45 days. Because the very individual who assured me that they would extend my trial period…had dropped me like a bad habit. It was approx 12 days later that I found another number to call. The young lady tells that my refund had been posted that very morning. I had to find that out. Not a word from hear.com!

    At any point, anyone could have/should have alerted someone in management that “this guy’s getting really pissed and someone needs to reach out to him.” That never happened. A second note: several days after I learned that hear.com had credited our account, I receive an email from UPS that they are sending someone out for a pick up from…hear.com! We pretty much ignored that as hear.com already had our hearing aids. Then, we get another (final) notice that UPS is coming out for a pick up.

    Frankly, as soon as it became obvious that I was returning the hearing aids, hear.com pretty much quit communicating with me. They couldn’t have done a better job of it if it was actually part of their business model. I have explained all of this to two people at hear.com’s customer service. I asked both to please go back and look at my phone calls, my emails, etc to confirm what I was telling them. I got a sincere apology, but no dice on returning my $139.00. I know this sounds like I am the kind of person to have these problems. Not so. In fact, this is the one and only time that I have ever made a review to Consumer Affairs regarding a business. Sorry for the long tale. Just know what you are signing up for.

    I called the 1-800 number and I was forwarded to a person who does an initial screening. They told me what was gonna happen over the next couple of weeks and I received a lot of information in the mail in addition to that. Then, the process starts where they evaluated my ears and whatnot, plus they went into the ever present finance side of it. They've got a number of ways to handle the finance and I chose the credit card option.

    It was amazing. They then sent a box and inside the box was a tablet computer that had a set of headset, a camera, and all kinds of little things that are hooked up to it. As soon as I turned it on, it booted through its process and it came up to the evaluation process. They gave me a specific time to do that so I could get in touch over the internet with the technician. The technician walked me through the entire process and did all the normal testing. I thought I was gonna get sent to someplace that had a booth, the old way, but it was all done right here in my dining room. It took about 45 minutes total and they said to keep the pad. Once the instruments came in, they would go through the process again in a different manner so that they could get the hearing aids properly fitted and set.

    Also, if I had any issues, they worked through them right then and there. I had an issue with mine where the wires that connected the inner ear with the instrument on the back of the ear were too short. I logged back on in the same instrument and the technician walked me through, changing them out right then and there. Within three days, I had new wires. My big fear was that I was going to be dealing with an internet company and it's gonna take forever but it really didn't. The entire process from my initial phone call to getting the instruments properly fitted and operational was less than 10 days total.

    After that, it doesn't stop. They've contacted me a couple of times by email. I was having an issue with one of the instruments and we walked through a bunch of question-and-answer type things. We swapped the wires from the left ear to the right ear and things like that to find out what the issue might have been. Ultimately, I had to send them back in and that's where I'm at right now. I’m waiting but because of their diligence in contacting, I expect somebody to contact me today and say, “Hey, yeah, we've got your problem. It’s gonna be fixed,” Or “It is fixed and they're on their way back." The process itself leads nothing but to credibility as it goes through. The only thing there that didn't happen was they weren't here themselves.

    The hearing aids are nice and compact. I have Bluetooth connected to my phone so I have the volume at my fingertips. I can use the toggle switches on top of the instrument itself, too. I also accidentally stumbled across the fact that I can play music through my phone into my ears. It works in both directions. It also has a couple of specialty settings so that if you're in a noisy environment or you're trying to concentrate on the professor in front of the class, you can redirect the cone that picks up the sound forward instead of doing a 360 around you.

    The only thing is the adaptation. I went to the airport to drop my wife off and when I was on the escalator, I was hearing conversations three and four people behind me. That's a little bit disconcerting when you're concentrating forward. There's so much ambient noise being in the airport. But because I've worn them now for a couple of months, I'm getting used to that and being able to discern the difference in that. Also, I was afraid the cord that reaches out and then goes into the ear was gonna be like wearing an extension cord instead of something a little bit more aesthetic. But it's pretty camouflaged because of the size of it and it's a clear plastic so you're getting skin color through it so it matches.

    I talked to a Hear.com representative online and then, they found me a doctor that was right near me. I loved the doctor. He did everything I said because I've never had a complete hearing test where I got an evaluation that was true. He was the only one in the office and we were there for 45 minutes. He did all kinds of testing and it worked out good. I'm working in construction and if I don't have to hear all of that noise, I'm fine. I love my hearing aids. They work when I need them to work and I put them on when I need them. I put them on a charger at night. When I take them out, I automatically put them back in the case that charges them.

    The hearing aids help because I finally hear the people that I need to hear. Some people mumble. So, I tell some of my grandkids to open their mouths when they talk or if people do that, to leave me a message at home on my clear captions phone. The ear doctor I went to showed me everything about my hearing aids and he said if I had any problems, all I would have to do is walk back in the office. It's just down the street, so it is easy instead of trying to contact somebody on the phone and figure it out while I'm on the phone with them.

    Up to now, I like my Hear.com hearing aids. I can be in a conversation and hear everybody. In the beginning, it was uncomfortable. I wasn't used to this kind of hearing aids. I was wearing the one that you put a battery and you have to change the battery. Now, I like that I can charge my hearing aids directly to the little box, and I don't have to buy batteries. I can also answer the phone directly through my hearing aids. The only thing that I don't like is the receiver. The hearing aids are too wide. I asked to get the thinner ones, but it costs more. Also, I change the hearings aids to the noisy program, but I'm still getting a little bit of noise from outside when I go in the car. That's the only uncomfortable thing.

    The hearing aids work really well. I had a problem when I first got them with the little buds coming out of my ear, but Hear.com fixed it by sending me another set of the little wires that go from the body of it into my ear. They sent me some that were better or longer and they seem to be working absolutely wonderful. Also, the hearing aids have a case that I put them in at night that recharges them and I don't have to worry about batteries. It's very convenient. And when my phone rings, my hearing aids get a little buzz sound and I can answer the phone and don't have to have everybody around me hear my phone.     I checked into getting hearing aids from a Hear.com office but by the time I got to my hearing test at another Hear.com, they already sent a set of hearing aids to me. And the only thing they've done was adjusting them to what my test came out to be and I've been satisfied ever since. I got Wi-Fi and my hearing aids go with my phone. I can control all my hearing aids through my cellphone and I answer phone calls through my cellphone with the hearing aids. Now, I can sit in a room full of people and I can hear the same TV that they hear on the same noise level that they got it on. Before, I couldn't because I had to have a TV turned up. I also don't have to second guess what somebody's telling me.

    I love the hearing aids from Hear.com. I didn't ever think that I was gonna be glad that I was wearing hearing aids, but I'm very happy. When I was originally looking or I had got to an audiologist, they gave me a range, which was $7,000 range of what my hearing aids could possibly cost, and these were at the lower end of that. It was at a discount, too. I would definitely recommend them. Originally, they had sent me the virtual package so that I was gonna do everything virtually, like the iPad and the hearing aids got all mailed to my house. Then they found out that my insurance would most likely not cover that because it needed to be an in-person experience. So, they ended up saying, "Just ship the stuff back. We'll find you a provider within 15 minutes of your house," and they did. I went to that provider and she was great.

    My experience with Hear.com was smooth and everything happened just the way it was supposed to. The hearing aids are helping me. Everything's good. One of the earbuds or the tulips as they call them came off in my ear. I went to my doctor, and she took it out. I try to make sure it’s snapped on the tube really well, but it happened twice.     My hearing loss was bad. I was having trouble hearing basic conversations and in all sorts of situations, I was not hearing very clearly. I was online with the hearing aid person from Hear.com and we went through a lot of testing and finally arrived at what I needed. He went over all these various things you can do online to hear better in certain situations and that part was confusing. But everything is going fine. I haven't had too many changes and my environment has stayed the same. But other than that, the hearing aid was very easy to maneuver online and I haven't had to adjust. The sound has been good. The hearing aids have shown through any place you needed clearer communication. I was having a hard time, not volume-wise so much as it was clarity, and these have provided me with the clarity that I can hear conversations and know what people are saying.

    The rep asked me questions about my hearing and what my goals were for the hearing aid. She set me up with a company and as soon as my hearing aids were in, they notified me. I picked them up in town and the tech adjusted them. I needed a different adjustment so I brought them back and he fixed them. The Hear.com rep kept in touch to make sure everything was going well. I'm very happy with my hearing aids. They're easy to work with and easy to get in. I can adjust them from my iPhone. Because I don't have significant hearing loss, they work well. But anybody with more hearing loss would need a stronger hearing aid.

    I have tried hearing aids that were a couple hundred bucks and they didn't work. Then I got some from Costco and they worked a little bit but I still couldn't hear like I should. I gave up altogether and after a while, I tried hearing aids again. Hear.com came up and it seemed like a good company. I followed up on it and it turned out that they're okay. I don't wear them like I ought to, but they do okay when I wear them. The one thing that I don't like is, when I hear a sound, I can't really tell where it's coming from. It's like I'm wearing ear plugs and I can't direct and say, "Oh, that came from 30 yards over that way."

    I have the over-the-ear hearing aids and there’s a little wire that goes on the cone in my ear and nobody can even see that I have them on. I have to be a little careful when I put my eyeglasses on. The old joke says you gotta have ears to wear glasses so it's a little cumbersome in that regard, but not anything I can't handle because it's just reading glasses anyway. I didn't realize how hard my brain was having to work to try to make out what people were saying. But I still couldn't quite make it out and I didn't realize how anxious it was making me. I couldn't hear anything in my right ear and very badly in my left. And now, I can hear the birds when I wake up in the morning and it feels wonderful. I'm not having to ask everybody what they said and they're not having to repeat themselves three times. I can hear my little grandchildren. So, I'm thoroughly enjoying them.

    I downloaded the program on my iPhone and nobody even knows when I have a phone call or not until they hear me start talking. I have about 6,000 music selections that I have collected in the last 20 years on my phone and I can switch to music any time I want. I'm so delighted with the ability to hear and all these other features because I absolutely love my music, and to be able to just either ride down the road or walk around outside with my music on. And if I'm listening to music and a call comes in, it switches over for me. I can turn down peripheral noise if somebody's got the TV so loud that it's bothering me and my ability to hear the person who's trying to talk to me. But you can also switch it from one side to the other. So, you can still hear it, but it's a little less volume.

    The audiologist that I was going to gave me a hearing test and told me that my hearing was bad. They showed me all the different frequencies that I wasn't hearing. They had turned up the hearing aids as far as they could go and there was no longer anything they could do. I thought my hearing was getting progressively worse and I was at the point where hearing aids wouldn't help. When I saw from Hear.com that there was new technology, that piqued my curiosity. I thought of trying it out. My Hear.com hearing aids are working. I’m able to hear my family now and join in conversations. But I have an ear canal on my right side that's not normal. It goes up instead of in. I've been playing with the little rubber ear cones that go in the ear, trying to find the right cone to keep it in place. I got one that's coming loose all the time, and I have to keep pushing it in.

    I just got my hearing aid back. It broke down, had to send it away. The left hearing aid started to fail, and then it failed completely, and then the right one went. I called and one of the aides tried to help me through it to try to get me to replace things and talk about replacing wires. I said I didn't think I could do that. I talked to someone else. She said she thought I was to send it in and I did and they fixed it. But they neglected to send my cord to the recharger back with it. I had to call and that came a couple of days later and they apologized profusely. Their customer service was terrific. They were very friendly, attentive and answered all our questions. But the price is way too expensive.

    Hear.com is very customer-oriented, and their process is designed to make it really easy to buy the hearing aids and have them adjusted and fitted. The reps called on a regular basis to check on progress, and they let me know what to expect, then they called to follow up to make sure it happened the way it was supposed to. They were superb.

    Hear.com offers a good product. It's expensive, but it's worth it. My wife is a lot happier because she doesn't have to keep repeating herself, and I can participate in conversations a lot easier. I'm a university fundraiser by profession, so I do a lot of talking to people, so it's really important for me to hear correctly what people are saying. I have family members who are in need of hearing aids, and we're getting ready to do that with Hear.com because of my experience. I would tell them to go online, start that process and see how it goes, because it was good for me.

    I had used a brand of hearing aids that I wasn't comfortable with so I looked around and saw Hear.com. The service is good, very prompt, and the product is very effective. I got their over-the-ear hearing aids. These are much simpler to work with and easy to adjust as far as volume and certain things. It was just not as cluttered as my old ones which has lots of options that I didn't really need. The hearing aid in itself is half the size of the ones I had before. It's very good. Previously, I had to replace the batteries of my old hearing aids. These new ones do not have batteries. I just charge them at night and then use them in the day. I just plug them in overnight when I go to bed and unplug them in the morning, and they last all day. They've overall smaller, more simplistic, and very comfortable to use. They're better.

    I inquired with Hear.com's online questionnaire. And they reached out to me. Their price ended up as being less than half of what other people that I know have paid for their hearing aids. Mine is behind the hear and I like it. My behind the ear hearing aid functions and performs well. I have the app on my phone. It's Bluetooth. And I can adjust the volume on right, left.     My first phone call with Nicole was incredible. She set the pace. She explained things, she was patient with my questions, and was very detailed about the program.     A lot of my friends have purchased hearing aids and they have not been happy and have not worn them. So, I didn't want to waste the money. But Hear.com offered me a 45-day guarantee that if I didn't like them, then I could return them. Now, I absolutely love the hearing aids. The doctor told me I needed hearing aids, but I wasn't ready. That was a couple of years ago and it had gotten to the point where I couldn't hear my husband talk even if he was sitting three feet away from me. I couldn't understand what he was saying and I decided that I needed to do something.

    I can hear again and watch TV at a normal level. The reps asked me a bunch of questions before because what they do is determine what kind you need.     I went into the main office and took the hearing test. I got two hearing aids and they're working great. I got the top of the line. It's the type that you put over your ears.     I asked positive questions to Hear.com and I got positive answers. They still kept in touch. I listened to everything they had to say and I had 45 days to make up my mind as to whether I was gonna keep them or not. I like the hearing aids.     I've never had better customer service like what I got from Hear.com, and I've been in the customer service business for a lot of years. The follow-up was excellent. I also liked their overall attitude and their answers to questions. I went with the middle-of-the-road hearing aids called the Horizons and the noise canceling is fantastic. I sit next to a server with a lot of ambient noise and it really helps. It's called Noisy environment. So they go from Universal where they start up and you have a Panorama feature. If you press that, you can go to Noisy Environment, and just knock out that background noise. My hearing aids also have a Bluetooth feature where I can answer my phone just by pressing a button on my ear as long as my phone is in my pocket.

    I charge my hearing aids with a charger that you can plug in, and I leave it plugged in in the bathroom. But you can unplug it and take it for four days. It stays charged and it's a very simple process. I also like the music they play when you're just first taking them out of the charger, and as you're pushing it into your ear, I time myself on how quick I can do it by knowing whether or not the music is still playing. I’m in front of public all the time. I check in computers for repair and talk to customers about sales, and it's so nice not to have to look at their lips and anticipate what the question or the answer might be. It's nice to be able to confidently go out and not constantly have to say, “What?”

    My husband is very happy with the hearing aids. He still has difficulty in places where there's a lot of background noise. But our conversations as husband and wife have greatly improved. We live in a rural area in the middle of Idaho. The way that Hear.com has it set up is that they send a tablet to your home and you don't ever have to leave your home. We can see the people on the tablet and they can see us. When you first get it, they have a little connection where you put a light down the ear and they can see what the ear canal looks like. They pay to have the tablet picked up and sent back. That's phenomenal. The hearing aids cost several thousand dollars. It's a big investment but you're able to insure them so if they get lost or broken, you don't have to pay to have them replaced. It would be good for every hearing aid company to do that. I have learned to insure them on our house insurance.

I went in, did the hearing test, and I got the hearing aids for a 45-day trial. I had done something like this before and I wasn't satisfied.     Hear.com has more than one hearing device. And they have some that are behind-the-ear and some that are in-the-ear. I decided something that went in the ear to fit my profession better. I started out for three days with the product. They were small, they fit in the ear, but didn't do well. And the representative said, "Why don't you try a product called BiCROS." I tried that and I liked it. But after a while, I talked to Cliff in Florida and said, "I'm not sure if the product is defective. Because at times, it would just not work."

    I have a battery tester. So, I would take the batteries out and test the batteries, and they were okay. So he said, "It's unlikely the product is defective. I'm willing to go with you on this one. Let's send you another product like the one you have, a BiCROS product." I said, "Okay. I would like that just to eliminate the idea that maybe they're defective." This was toward the end of the 45-day guarantee. And he said, "Let me talk to management." But he disappeared. Haven't heard from him again. It didn't end well.

    I have the two buds. They're very discreet and they fit in the ear. But there are some questions I have about other products that Hear.com has. This product is not synced to my cellphone in any way. I can't adjust anything. It has to be done by the provider. I didn't realize it was a problem. The provider is in Tulsa, but it's 12 miles away. And he operates out of his home. He has a terrible answering system. If he's not there, it's over. He's a nice guy, but it doesn't work. He's supposed to be a representative of Hear.com. He has equipment in his home. He's knowledgeable and friendly. But when I need to get ahold of him, sometimes a whole week would go by. I would leave two messages. He would call me back and say, "How's things going?" I just sent him a message saying they're not going well. The product works most of the time. But 20% of the time, it doesn't work.

    Hear.com promotes service. "We have the best service in America of any product." I'm glad that's their goal. But they don't live up to their promotion. You have a salesman that works out of the home, that's probably good for the bottom line for Hear.com. They don't have to keep an office. They can reduce the amount of advertising. There are a lot of benefits to the company by doing that. But there are no benefits to the individual.

    I got the hearing aids that go behind the ear but that was not what I wanted. I wanted the one that just went in your ear. But the rep talked me out of it. She said, “You gotta start with these just because these are the best. You can always switch up till later.” They are good. But I didn't wanna screw on them with hanging on my ears. The ones you stick in there are so simple. You don't have to mess with these little cables going off and around and behind your ear. Other than that, the hearing aids are exactly what they said they were. I paid $6,300 for them and they are good. I wear them every day. The people that I've worked with have been awesome.     Pauline made the initial contact with me to get everything rolling and she determined what hearing aid she thought that I would need. She also checked in with me periodically to see how things were going. Then I talked to David and he was friendly and very sociable. He explained everything after I took the hearing test in good detail, which showed as far as my hearing loss. The hearing aids were already in his hands at the time, which was nice because he was able to evaluate after the hearing test and then know how to set the hearing aids up for my particular situation.     The technician was clear and concise in explaining how to use my Hear.com hearing aid. So far, it's doing what it's supposed to do and the Bluetooth comes in quite handy.     I went in an office around the corner from Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. The Hear.com rep had someone else in there before me. So, my whole time there might have been an hour and a half. That was all it took. After he finished the patient that he was in with, when I went in, I was there 45 to 50 minutes. Because he took down notes. He would ask me questions on the computer, and I went in the little booth right in his office, and he tested my hearing. He tested both ears one at a time, and then both. The test was good. I was listened to different sounds, and touched a button to let them know if I heard it. It was simple to me.

    I like the hearing aid. It's comfortable and it's very good. I've been down at the office since. The audiologist wanted to do a check up on me to see how I worked with it. I had him to show me how to change and clean it. I got the whole kit, and I could adjust it to my phone. I could have the hearing aid on and I could talk on the phone through the hearing aid. I could adjust it with the TV. I could have it in my ears all day, and I take it out at night. Hear.com wanted me to start to wear so many hours and take it off for me to get used to it.

    Marty, the salesperson from Hear.com, was a very positive presenter. He explained what was going on and then, he sent me the kit. My audiologist, Doctor Emily, told me things that I did not know about my hearing, the letters, the P's and S's and things along those lines and how the hearing worked that I never learned from my previous supplier, the VA. So it was a very positive experience with Doctor Emily. She was caring and patient. So that was very impressive, too. I've got the behind-the-ear hearing aids and they work fine. That's what I had before, so I used them. We had gone to dinner with friends when I was using the previous hearing aids and I would struggle to hear the conversation. But when we went to dinner with eight people around a round table the Friday after I got the Hear.com hearing aids, I could hear everybody. So the difference was that dramatic. The hearing aids have involved me back in the conversation and with my family.

    Cameron, my contact person at Hear.com, was informative, always polite, and professional. He made arrangements really well and followed up to make sure that everything got done the way that I wanted it to get done. Everybody from Hear.com answered any questions I had and was responsive. I got the behind the ear and in the ear hearing aid and once I learned to get it in, it was comfortable to use. When I need it, it's excellent. It's a little bit echoey but I love that you can adjust it on the app on my phone and I'm pretty proficient with that. Then, I got the watch you put into the TV so I can hear the TV and my phone to talk on. I love those features of it. One time, I had to have help when I got a new phone. I knew that my hearing aid couldn't have just failed and I had to go back to their rep to have it fixed.

    Hear.com is clearly paying good money to appear in your browser because that is how I heard about them. They are claiming to have revolutionary in-the-ear hearing aids. I was curious. I contacted them and got a truly magnificent sales person. I explained I was interested in the in-the-ear hearing aids. I had to explain this twice because Hear.com is actually set up to sell behind-the-ear hearing aids. I say this because they sent me a box with a home testing kit for behind-the-ear devices, after I had asked not to. Then I tried to return the box and asked for an RMA, but they insisted it was not sent. Then, I started getting threats to charge me, if I did not return the box. The threats finally included a mailing label for UPS shipment.

    Because I was most interested in the in-the-ear device, I was sent to a local audiologist.     I must say that I am interested in the in-the-ear device for two main reasons:

    1. I wear glasses and find that glasses are constantly rubbing against the hearing aids and interfering with hearing, and,

    2. COVID and wearing masks showed me that wearing behind-the-ear hearing aids, glasses, and mask bands is not even close to being possible.

    When I visited the audiologist I was given a hearing screening which was good. The audiologist tried to fit me with behind-the-ear hearing aids. I told him I was actually interested in in-the-ear devices and he told me that they were not any good, and was I so vain that I needed them. He advised behind-the-ear devices. I already have behind-the-ear devices and in retrospect, I should have walked right then because this was clearly a bait and switch. I asked if I could have a second hearing screening to see how well the new hearing aids helped me, and I was told no.

    So I took the devices on a 45 day evaluation. During the evaluation I had trouble keeping one of the speakers in my ear. It would pop out. We tried several 'domes' to no avail. I ended up using the domes from my previous hearing aids, which worked better, but the wire would still pop out. I also experienced problems with the charging case. The manuals say the charging case will charge from a charging disk, but after my hearing aids went dead due to lack of charge, the audiologist informed me they don't work with charging disks. Again, in retrospect, I should have returned them.

    Two days before my evaluation ended (a Wednesday), I contacted my salesperson and audiologist that I had to fold my ear lobe over the ear channel to get hearing restored. I asked how I could do so without looking like one of the 3 monkeys (the one that is fingering its ears). I did not hear back from either Hear.com or the audiologist. I waited until COB on Friday and did not hear back. I decided to return the devices. I didn't do this until the next morning. Because I was a day late, even though I had solicited help that was not answered, I was informed that Hear.com does not issue 'out-of-evaluation' returns, and I was out of luck.

    My audiologist must have heard from Hear.com because the next Tuesday, they texted me to make an appointment. I replied and I said I wanted to return the hearing aids. They said to bring them in, and they would process them. I did so. The next day they informed me that I was out of evaluation and there was nothing they, or I could do.

    I tried working with Hear.com, but frankly, the person I was explaining everything to was stubborn in holding to his policy. I said I would do everything I could to get satisfaction, including reporting to the Better Business Bureau. He was non-plussed. I have submitted to the BBB: my prediction is that Hear.com does not grace us with a response.

    Hear.com is in possession of the hearing aids. The audiologist representing them instructed me to return them. I am not interested in devices that frankly do not stay in my ears, don't hold a charge, or provide a superior hearing experience over my current hearing aids (unless I hold fingers over both ears). I have asked for a refund and Hear.com has refused me.

    I am sorry, this company is all fluff and no stuff. I recommend they be put on an industry blacklist because they give the industry a bad name. If you are interested in trying the 'revolutionary hearing aids crushing the market,' do yourself a favor and send the offer to the wastebasket. If interested in the in-the-ear devices, stick to your guns and evaluate them. In retrospect that is exactly what I should have done. The company is poorly run, communication is driven by crisis, and they are liable to ignore you once they have your money in the bank. So much is wrong here that I am astounded that they are in business. I give them a minus 5 out of ten.

    I had about a 30% hearing loss. So I was having trouble in conversations and hearing TV. The agent that I dealt with was very good. He was not pushy. I liked the way that he did not try to sell me anything. He just told me about the product and pretty much answered all my questions. He was informative. I chose the hearing aids that is pretty much just a tube that goes in my ear. The comfort level was way better than I thought. I love that you don't have to put a battery in it. It's rechargeable and you can use your phone to make changes. You can turn it up if you need to, if somebody speaks real quietly. My friends noticed that I can hear better.     Everybody there has always been real helpful and accommodating. It was a really good experience for me. I own my own business, so running back and forth to the doctor's office was something that I didn't look forward to. But with Hear.com, we did everything over the internet. It really helped me out because it only took 30 minutes. I just sat down in a quiet spot and did all that stuff and then we were good to go.

    The hearing aid makes everything easier, especially conversations. I hear a lot of stuff now. It's behind the ear and then it has the part inside that has the part behind the ear. They're pretty comfortable. They tell you to wear them just a few hours until you get used to them. But on the first day that I had them and we got them calibrated, I was able to wear them all day.

    I have the rechargeable hearing aids. The little case that they come in actually has a little bit of battery storage built in it. You can plug in the charger in the case and then when you take them out and go out and about, I keep that case with me or in the car. So when I stick them back in it, it charges them back up. Everybody I ever knew that had hearing aids said they eat the battery life away. So it's been really refreshing not to have to deal with any of that with my hearing aids.

    I was hearing okay but when I would go to a church or an auditorium, I couldn't hear the speakers up there. Even when sitting in a restaurant, I could hear people sitting across me but not the tables next to me. We have a company that comes out of Billings to the senior centers. I tried their hearing aids but I sent them back because I could hear just as good without them as I could with them.

    What I really like about the ones from Hear.com is they got them programmed to my phone so I can just get my phone out and turn them up and turn them down. I can push a button just for audio. I’m really enthused with them. It's nice to be able to hear the people at the next table if they asked me something. Also, once I get the hearing aids in, I don't realize they're there. If you don't have hearing aids on, you either wouldn't hear the sound or it wouldn't be as loud. It does pick up sounds that you might not have really heard before.

    The hearing aids work great. The components are riding over the ear with an insert into my ear channel. I like that it's programmable. They have different functions that go to the app on the phone. I can choose a silent mode, which shuts the processors off. After my wearing it for a week and jotting down all the information on what I was experiencing right out of the box, I found that I couldn't sit in a restaurant and have a conversation across the table, even though I've got them on and I'm right across the table from them, because there's so much background noise in Texas Roadhouse. It's not a quiet place to go and sit down and eat.

    I described the scenario to the gal who called and was getting the feedback after about two weeks of wearing it. I said, “That's just unacceptable.” I had to go to silent mode to shut that down. I'm still having difficulty, and probably even more because I've got the piece in my ear. Even though I can hear and it's vented, I can't understand because it's not being amplified in the speech. The gal was able to do was create a program that shut off the receivers behind me to the back and just leave the forward ones on so that I'm hearing directly in a straight line and picking up that. It worked great.

    I've only been wearing the hearing for a couple months, but I actually climbed into bed not too long ago with them still on and going, so I'm not conscious about wearing them. It saves a lot of time in not having to repeat yourself. It has been a good experience and definitely has improved my quality of life at this age. To be able to hear my wife walking away from me talking, and for me to turn around and follow her, and I could hear her, is quite an improvement and very good.

    I'm very happy with Hear.com. When I talked to the people, they explained everything to me and I was very comfortable. I was very impressed with the hearing test as well. They put me in that booth, did the test, and everything was very good. At the beginning, I was having a problem with the Bluetooth connection. They changed something around, and ever since then, I've had no problem, and that is one of the features I really like. When I'm talking to someone, I don't have to have my phone in my hand.     The rep I worked with was great. She kept everything up to date for me. These hearing aids are also better than the ones that I used to have. I can do a lot more adjustments.     I liked the service and that Hear.com sent the stuff to my house. They were very trusting to send an iPad to do an exam. Also, great communication. I answer if I'm busy and I got my hands going and the phone rings. I can reach up and tap the thing and keep doing what I'm doing and talk at the same time. I had a problem the other day, but it wound up being my phone. I like to listen to the music on my phone. One of the hearing aids wasn't working.     My rep was persistent. She called back to check on how things were. I got behind-the-ear hearing aids and they're very comfortable. With them, I don't have to look at people's lips anymore.     I had been wearing hearing aids for four or five years but I was just not satisfied with them. I was looking online and I found Hear.com. Everything was really good. The guy that set the hearing aids up with me was very knowledgeable about what he was doing. The only problem I had is one of the hearing aids went bad. I was used to dealing with Wellstar. If something happened, I would go into the office and they would fix the hearing aids right there. In the case of Hear.com, I had to send the hearing aids back and I was without hearing aids for a week. Customer service apologized and said there was nothing they could do. It upset me because they wouldn't let me just send the one that was bad back.

    Other than that, I'm very satisfied with my hearing aids. They're so much better than what I had. I paid more for them but the quality is worth it. I hear very well but if somebody's talking to me and I'm in a different room or if they're turned away from me, I still have a hard time understanding. From everything that I've read and heard, that's common. Overall, it's been a very good experience and I'm very satisfied.

    Hear.com's customer service has impressed me so far. Whenever I have a problem and try to find out what's going on, they have been right there to help me, so it’s been good. The hearing test with wasn’t quite as in-depth as I've had at a regular audiologist, but it was ok. The rep I talked to before I made the purchase was great and all the folks I talked to were very knowledgeable. When I received my hearing aid, I had a video conference with the tech and he walked me through the whole nine yards. When I purchased a new phone, the app didn't load up like it should have so they sent me another pad for a video online and we got that straightened out. So the tech support was good, and was satisfied.

    I got the program downloaded and I can choose what program I want to use, depending on where I'm at and what I'm doing. I like that feature very well. I'm not 100% familiar with all the programs. I just keep bouncing around, trying to find the right program for the right atmosphere and I’m getting better at it. Plus, the home maintenance is not all that complicated. The hearing aids made a world of difference between me and my wife as far as our relationship, because she got tired of me saying “huh” all the time. She's the one who tells me to turn the TV up nowadays instead of down. My left ear hearing was profound and I've always had bad hearing in my left ear. I don't know if it was a birth defect or an ear infection back when I was a kid. It never got worse nor got any better. But it was bad enough I couldn't talk on the phone with my left ear. I was always turning my head to the right to get better hearing out of my right ear.

    I learned to master lip reading. I got by but I'm getting older and I decided I’d go for the hearing aid because back when I was younger, I was very conscious about them because I always thought those are for old people. I'm old now so I qualify. When you’re growing up and you're a young kid or a teenager and you're on the dating scene, you don't wear a hearing aid. That sort of turned me off as far as interacting with the younger folks and girls so I put it off. I was able to get through it and cope with it. But I've aged and settled in with my life, and I'm not trying to impress anybody. I'm not looking for anything nowadays so me and the hearing aid get along just fine.

    I'm still sort of new at this and I seem to be learning something every day. Today, I was able to control my hearing aid with my phone, but I don't have the whole plan or the whole scenario like I do. I've experienced that in the past and it seems to come back to my phone so I don't know if it's just an internet connection thing. But it happened even at home where I'm right next to Wi-Fi. The next time I tried my phone, I got the complete app.

    I went through this before when I got my new phone and I assumed it was because I got a new phone. Somebody I talked to sent me the whole tablet and I had to wait on it, and go through the whole online thing where you talk to one another online and video chat. I was hoping that it's something that could be straightened out over the phone. But it's not a major inconvenience right now. I've got a few options but not the whole program like it has been, and it's just a little aggravating. There are four different modes on my phone when it's working right, and I don't have that option right now.

    I've had good luck with Hear.com. The lady I go to in Yukon is great. She told me I could come by any time and get anything I need, and any time I could call her. I live a couple of hours away from her but still, she does a great job helping me out when I need her. I got the behind the ear hearing aids with a little canal. I can turn the TV down lower than my wife can hear it now and I like the Bluetooth. I can be looking on my phone and it's not bugging everybody else that I'm listening to something. It doesn't disturb anybody else though sometimes, it disturbs my wife when I'm involved in it because I don't hear her.

    Putting in the hearing aid in my right ear feels a little funny. So, it's hard to poke it in. But otherwise, they go in good. I get too comfortable with them and I have to watch myself. I jumped in the shower a couple of times but I got them out, so I didn't mess them up. I’m very satisfied and I like the hearing aids. I've only had them for four months, but I’m doing well.

    I've worn hearing aids for years and my older hearing aids were not serving me as well. My hearing had degraded and it was time to do something new. I was aware of Hear.com from advertising. I'm an ex-advertising person myself. I did a little background study on the company and what products they were using and I saw that they were using a high-end product that was similar to the European design I had used in the past. That caught my interest.

    I did everything online and I loved it. I didn't have to wait in line and get the runaround. I didn't have to sit in an office and spend 20 minutes filling out forms in a strange place. I didn't have people telling me all the things I had to do to get qualified to even talk to them and I didn't have a lot of pressure. Nobody was pressuring me.

    I went for the behind-the-ear, which is what I had. People don't notice it. I'm a very active person and I spent a lot of time fishing. I noticed that friends who have the in-the-ear piece were always concerned that the hearing aid was going to fall out and disappear. With my hearing aids, I like the fact that I talk to people through earphones. The Bluetooth feature is awesome and because I'm a musician, I've been playing around with that stuff a little lately and I'm enjoying a lot of the playback features when it comes to music.

    I also worked in the computer field. I have some sense of technology. It's just slightly frustrating that I have to hold my phone for people to hear my voice. I've noticed that there is a reach to it, but you got to be pretty much attached to your phone. If I'm in the kitchen working and doing something and I'm talking to my sister, and then I walk anywhere, and she goes, "I can't hear you." It's a codependency that needs to be improved. I know from my previous hearing aids what the problem is, if there's not an appropriate microphone in the earpiece to pick up my voice. But it ought to be. I've got a microphone for input. That's what the whole hearing aid is all about. Why isn't that just using the mic that's built into the hearing aid?

    That aside, Hear.com's service response has been very good. The other day, I was having a problem where only one ear was picking up the Bluetooth. I called in and it was answered right away. The person who answered the phone talked me right through things and we got the fix done.

    My hearing loss was pretty severe. I had gotten hearing aids through Hear.com before. I used them again a second time and I got a newer model. It's an upgrade and I love them. The cost is reasonable. The local lady that I deal with is very helpful. I am impressed by her willingness to answer questions anytime I call. She goes above and beyond.

    The hearing aids are making my life a whole lot better. I live with my mom and I was struggling to hear her. Once in a while, have a hard time because she doesn't speak very loudly. But I can hear her so much better now. I like I can choose the direction that I hear from my hearing aids. My mom and I sleep in our recliners in the living room.     My hearing was really bad and I finally gave in. When I found out my insurance company would pay almost half of the cost of hearing aids, I jumped on it. Hear.com contacted me. They are approved through AARP and some of the other senior spots on the internet. I was back east in North Carolina when they first started calling and I said, “Well, I'm gonna go up to the west coast.” I drive cross-country ‘cause I own houses in North and South Carolina and I own the house here in Fresno, and I was going to be in Fresno for quite a while. They hooked me up with a provider in Modesto, which is about a little over an hour away. My rep Gerald and his team were really helpful. They got my phone set up. I don't have my ears in right now but I can hear through to my ears like if I was talking to someone. It's pretty cool.     Steve from Hear.com said, "Come in in another two weeks." I said, "Do I have to come every two weeks since I got hearing aids? Why don't I call you when I need help?" I tried to call them when I needed to help but nobody answered the phone. When I'm in the car and I'm hooked up to GPS, I only hear the GPS thing in one ear. I'm wondering if that is a safety thing.     When I called and told them I wanted to proceed, it went really smooth. They have my hearing aids assigned to an audiologist and the only drawback is from where I live, the closest ones are about an hour. The people at the audiologist I went to were really great. They gave me some inserts that go over the speaker or the transmitter and they were more comfortable than the original little buds that go on there. Also, the hearing aids are good quality. I got in the shower with them on and they're still working. The greatest thing is, I can control everything. I have so many different settings and it works really great.

    I went to Las Vegas on the 1st of March and my left ear kept saying that the battery was not charging. This was right after I had got off the plane. I asked them if there was a place out there and they didn't have a place in Vegas that I could go to. They said if I went to somebody, it would void the warranty, which I understand, and they sent me up for an appointment for Monday. As soon as I got back home, I went down there and we figured out what the issue was. I would recommend Hear.com highly.

    Hear.com sent me a tablet and all the things that go with it to do the hearing test right in my house. It was nice. I got the normal behind-the-ear hearing aids. I like that it Bluetooth with my phone and with the app that I have, I can adjust the volume and noise environment. The cost was less than the first pair I got six years ago so it wasn't bad.     I asked to see a hearing specialist where we live and Hear.com had somebody who does that about 10 miles from our house. We made an appointment and the rep drove out. He checked my ears and we found out that my right ear was not functioning and the left ear needed help. My wife thought so all along anyway, which was the reason I went to get the ears checked. I got the hearing aids that go behind the ear.

    I only use my hearing aids when I go to church so I can hear better. We sit in the back usually and I can't hear it that well. I got a new iPhone about a couple of months ago, and the app didn't load up. So, I called the hearing specialist and he called their tech support. They were very good. They walked me right through it and everything was fine. The cost wasn't that much of an issue. The hearing aids work and I can hear better with them on than not. So, that was good.     I'm not entirely comfortable with the hearing aids. The high pitches are increased, which I find somewhat annoying when I'm shuffling papers. Considering that I'm not sure I'm benefiting all that much, I would say I'm paying more than I would have chosen. But there's an advantage to them that they are rechargeable rather than requiring frequent purchase of batteries.

    I've called in to Hear.com a couple of times and the people at the help line have been great. I the did the set-up myself a lot but a couple of people had my back. I felt totally at ease and relieved. It hasn't even been a year yet, and I've already figured out how to keep the hearing aids clean and switching out the components when they're needed. The comfort and quality is remarkable. There's also that they're small and hidden. They look like part of the glasses. It's a little bit vain, but I like that people don't know I have them on. Sometimes I don't know I have them on.

    The hearing aids are fabulous. I've tried some over the counter amplifiers and spent 40 years in the investment business myself. These hearing aids the best investment ever. I advised and recommended the hearing aids to other people and one guy got to try them out. I'm very happy with the hearing aids. It's been a game changer. The only thing I've been unable to resolve and it might not be possible is the volume when receiving music on Bluetooth. It's a bit of a catch-22 because I can't hear it well enough, but maybe I'm not supposed to through those hearing aids. I've messed around with the application and talked to people before. Apparently, it's not an uncommon situation.

    My hearing aids are up with the new technology. The phone is on a table and I'm talking and listening to people through my hearing aids. Also, they have an app you download where you can adjust the volume or adjust for noisy situations. Sometimes, if your'e in a noisy environment, the hearing aids don't work very well. So, you turn the treble down a little bit and that takes away some of the background noise. But there are days when I can't get them to adjust right and I just deal with it. Other than that, they're very good hearing aids. With them, I can hear things I couldn't before, especially when I'm at work at a grocery store.

    The rep at Hear.com listened to all of my mom's concerns and seemed to understand it's not always an easy process for somebody in her age group.     Hear.com sounded too good to be true and I didn't have any information. Everybody that I talked to told me there are so many spams out there and for the amount of money that they cost, I shouldn't do it. But it's the best decision I ever made. I love the hearing aids. The cost is horrible but in relation to what I got, it's worth the investment. The specialist at Hear.com was the absolute best. She gave me all the information and sent me packets. She was very helpful. If she didn't have an answer to something that I asked, she would call me back with an answer. When I said to send the hearing aids, they came. They did the free trial and if I didn't like them, I could send it back. We did adjustment after adjustment and I never would have thought that that would have worked, but we did that and I had to change the tip on the end of my hearing aid. Changing the tip and turning the volume down were the best. It was immediate.

    I wear my glasses from the moment I get up in the morning until I go to sleep at night. I don't need to remind myself. The hearing aids have not been like that. They are easy to forget to even put them in. And I started wearing them 12 hours a day right from the get-go. I had no problem adapting to using them. But over the length of time of the trial, I would call my hearing loss moderate in terms of the impact it has on me. I do not hear all the rattles when I turn on the faucet without my hearing aids. But a lot of the sounds that I hear with the hearing aids that I don't hear without them are not important to me is what I came to find out.

    Wearing the hearing aids is one more thing to have to take care of. Especially careful not to lose. The thing that I liked about them most was the Bluetooth feature. But that's not a hearing aid thing. You can buy a good pair of Apple earbuds for less than $300. Also, it didn't seem to make that much difference and it was pricey for my situation. So the question was, "Is this really worth $5,000? This level of improvement or change?" I'm turning them back. But my experience with Hear.com was excellent. You have to put some energy and effort into it and it takes a while to sort it out. And Hear.com makes it possible to do that without making a financial commitment that you're not certain is the right decision.

    Hear.com has given me the opportunity to really explore what it means to wear these devices and how it impacts my life. I liked the long trial period and the emphasis on exploring what the best solution is. Occasionally, it was overly programmed and became a bit annoying. But I gave them my point of contact and she changed settings and they stopped bothering me.

    I hear a lot better since I started using the hearing aid from Hear.com so my wife doesn’t have to repeat herself. It goes over my ear and the little piece goes in my ear. I'm well satisfied and I like them well. I don't have any discomfort. Sometimes, with my hearing aid on the outside of my glasses, my glasses don't fit right. So, I catch on quickly and get them on there. I have the rechargeable ones and they last two full days. But I charge them almost every night. The customer support checked on me a couple of times and everything is good. The first girl I talked to was nice and stayed in contact with me. I was a little bit leery of the computer but it was user-friendly. My wife’s a lot better than I am at it and she was there with me when we started, so that made it a lot easier on me too.     They did a super job with getting me hearing aids. I was impressed by the way they did it. I liked the way the rep treated me. We did everything through Zoom and I'm very happy with them. We went with the hearing aids that are rechargeable. Initially, there was an adjustment period because I'm not used to having something in my ear. Now I'm used to them. I've already jumped in the shower and I had to jump out again real fast because I've got my hearing aids in. They're very comfortable.

    The service has been outstanding but I’m not as happy as I thought I would be with the hearing aids. There's a lot of feedback and the part that goes into your ear is wide. I have very small ear canals and I have the smaller size available for adults. In terms of quality of sound, Hear.com is better. But in terms of fit, Bose was better and their app was outstanding and state-of-the-art. The Hear.com app given to me by the audiologist was lacking. They need to update their app to provide the user with much more control of the hearing and the volume settings. I'm a professor, so setting and where you are and what you're doing is crucial and the Hearing.com app does not provide that at all. I miss the other ones I used because of the app. It was very discreet and I had a lot of options. Hear.com’s app is not as good as it could be.

    I was highly impressed with Hear.com and I have recommended them to two people here at The Chamberlin. I love that my hearing aids have Bluetooth. In most cases, I don't have to hold my phone up to my ear to talk to a person. Also, I liked the idea that everything is on my phone. I don't have to fool around with the back of the hearing aid. That really is really important to me. Being 84 years old, sometimes we can't handle those little buttons on the back of the hearing aids.

The appointment was very easy. They also sent me a whole year’s supply of caps for the hearing aids and the wax guards. If nothing goes wrong, I'll be fine. The hearing aids are chargeable. I put them in the charger every night before I go to bed, and then I take them out in the morning. I did ask Chris about what's gonna happen if we have a power outage. He said that the case itself should hold the charge for four days to five days. So, even if they're unplugged, I'll be okay because most power outages don't last more than three days.

    I wanted something that was discreet and Hear.com had the in-ear model. My hearing aid is behind-the-ear style. It's not bad except when I wear glasses and when I put my glasses off and on, I hear the rasping. Then when I scratch my ear, I can hear the rasping in the back of my ear, too. But I love the Bluetooth too. I answer all my calls on Bluetooth.

    The whole process was also very easy. They send out the iPad thing, then they check your ears and check the hearing. The doctor’s there and he walks you through everything and helps you through it. When I opened up the box, I was thinking, “I don't want to carry this thing around.” But it wasn't that at all. They're out of sight. You got a thin wire coming into your ear so it’s really not noticeable. They're also rechargeable, which I love. They're designed to hold a charge for 30 hours. I've gone 14 hours a day with them on and I haven't had any problems. They've never gone dead. I’m very satisfied with it. I also like the phone app because I can adjust things differently. Their customer service has also been very good. They walked me through it and said, “This is what you gotta do.” Very satisfied.

    I had hearing aids from Costco and in the wind and different places, I didn't feel like they were helping me as much as I wanted to be helped. Compared to the ones I got from hear.com, the difference is night and day. These things are hooked up to my phone and when I'm talking to someone, it's like they are three feet away from me. I can also hear myself talking. But every now and then, the hearing aids won't sync with my cellphone. I'll have to take them out and put them back in the little charger. I wait a few minutes then I put them back in my ears, and they resync. But that sometimes that happens more often than it should. And I'm one of these guys who plugs my phone and hearing aids in every night, so it's not that something is not charging.

    But other than that, their customer support has been perfect. When the hearing aids were out of whack not too long ago and I couldn't figure it out, I called hear.com and the young lady who helped me couldn't have been nicer. I kept apologizing because I'm pretty simple when it comes to these electronic stuff. But she kept telling me that there was no need to apologize at all and that they were there to help me. When I hung up with her, the hearing aids still weren't working. But she told me to wait a little bit for the update, so I waited for 30 minutes. I tried again and they still weren't working. Then I saw, "Update in process" on my phone and as soon as it said complete, I went through the steps that she told me to do and they've been working just fine ever since.

    Hear.com provided an opportunity for me to get advanced technology at a more affordable price and they connected me with a local provider here in my community that is very professional and competent. They asked a number of questions to determine what my status was. I had a hearing test with an audiologist about two and a half years prior to beginning to work with Hear.com, so I was able to share some information from that prior study. And they connected me with a local audiologist here in Tullahoma, Tennessee. That audiologist performed another test in her facility. She had a sound booth and equipment to do the testing each ear individually. She tested me at different sound wave ranges and determined the degree of loss at the different frequencies. It was in addition to a lot of questions that she asked and it was a very extensive test.

    So what you do is you hold a little clicker and the audiologist is initiating different sounds at different frequencies. And you click the clicker when you detect the sound. I went through all of that one ear at a time and they determined that there was more significant loss in one ear than the other. Hear.com recommended a high-end hearing device and they shipped that device through the audiologist. After the audiologist had done her evaluation, she determined that the hearing aid that was recommended by Hear.com would be excellent for where I was in the hearing loss that I was experiencing.

    She was able to program those hearing aids based on my exact condition for each ear and each hearing aid was programmed separately. At the end of that, my wife came in and we had a conversation so she could record my wife's voice. She specifically programmed the hearing aids to key in on her voice, so that the hearing aids would focus on her voice. Like if we're in a restaurant or a movie or watching television, and there's background noise, the hearing aids are able to, focus on her voice. So I could still hear the background noise and the hearing aids didn't drown it out entirely. But I would be able to hear my wife's voice over that noise. The audiologist had me wear the hearing aids after she had the program for a couple of weeks.

    We purposely went to a few restaurants and a sports bar with a bunch of TVs going where everybody had tables and were talking. My wife and I were sitting at a table having the conversation. Then we went out to eat breakfast and lunch in a couple of places. The first time we went out to breakfast, one of the hearing aids stopped working and I couldn’t hear anything in it. This was on a weekend at 9:30 in the morning. I called the audiologist office to leave a message, not expecting to get a call back before Monday, but she called me back while we were still at the restaurant 20 minutes later. There's a little insert that goes into the ear canal and it's got a receptor on the end. And it had gotten blocked with the ear wax. She told me how to clean it and it was functioning again.

    So that was the kind of attention to detail and unexpected service that I got. I didn't really expect the doctor to call me back on the weekend with an answer. The audiologist works outside of Hear.com but some of her patients are referred to her by Hear.com. She said she really liked the technology and the hearing devices that Hear.com supplies. And the ones that they had sent for me to try out, she was very impressed with those.

    We also tried sitting and watching television and having a conversation. So we had different situations. Then, we went in to the audiologist and she took my hearing aids and plugged them into her machinery. She determined how well they were performing in those various situations. One of the things that we did was we went to a Christmas party and there were about six couples there and some kids. The women were in one area and the men were in another area. I was having a conversation with a couple of the men and the audiologist was able to hone in on that party.

    She said that she could see where I was in a situation where there were a lot of conversations and my wife wasn't near me. But there were a lot of high voices in the background, I was having a conversation with a couple of people with lower voices, and I was able to hear their conversations. And I could still hear the background noise, but I was able to focus in on that conversation close to me. In the end, we only had to make one slight adjustment to the geometry. On this hearing aid, there's a part that goes behind the ear and there's a little wire that goes to the little plug that you put into your ear canal. That wire was a little short, so it was going into the ear canal at an angle and I wasn't getting as good a reception. The audiologist made that wire a little bit longer, then we did another one month trial. We were back after the one month and she said she could see that my reception improved.

    The representative from Hear.com, Clyde, also did a very thorough job of getting me prepared for the meeting with the audiologist. The process that he went through, all the questions that he asked, and the hearing aid that he recommended turned out to be right on as a result of the test with the audiologist. The other thing with Hear.com is that, once I got the hearing aids, they had a process of a couple of weeks where everyday, I had something on my phone that was a tip.

    So for instance, they recommended the first few days not to wear them all day because it's kind of a change to your system. So your brain and ears have to adjust. And some people, if they wear them for 12 hours to begin with, they might be overwhelmed. So your brain is processing information that it hasn't processed for a few years and it could get confusing and disorienting. Then they had tips, like if your ears are itching, it's because there's something in there and your body is not used to that. And here's how you adjust to that.

    Clyde was available, too. He gave me his phone number and told me not to hesitate to call him with any questions, prior to receiving hearing aids and after receiving them. Then he followed up several times after I'd gotten the hearing aids to make sure that I was on course and everything was going okay. For instance, the audiologist told me about some customers that didn’t use Hear.com and that didn't have these tips. Maybe they got overwhelmed and they just quit using their hearing aids. So Hear.com really goes the extra mile to make sure that if you need hearing correction and if you need hearing aids, you're able to adjust and get full use of them.

I happened to put that part on first, in the extra small size that they had sent, and it went right in. I don't even feel it.     I pushed a button somewhere on the internet and a really nice guy kept calling me. He was easy to talk to and had a lot of information. He hooked me up with Hearing.com. I was living in North Carolina and we moved to Arizona. He continued to care for me and helped me find a place and get my hearing aids done. I had a consultation with my hearing. It couldn't have been two weeks before I got a doctor here in Arizona. He verified that my hearing was pretty down in my right ear and somewhat in my left so I started going for hearing aids.

    When we first signed up, it was very difficult to get the machines to recognize my signature. We signed them in the office and we had to go back the next day. They sent us paperwork the next day. It took like four signatures before the machines all finally worked. That aside, I love my hearing aids and I'm very happy. I noticed when I don't wear them in the morning and if I forget to put them on once in a while, a day will go by and I'll think, “Hmm. Irritating.” Now I put them on every morning. The only other thing is the left one isn't working right so I need to get back over there and have them adjust it.

    Everybody was telling me I needed it. I was looking for one and a lady named Maria called me. We were talking and she set it up everything. Maria was an expert and she knew what she was talking about. She did everything just like I went to someplace else to see the doctor. I went to different places but I was not as happy as with this one. I got the product from Hear.com. I went to their location and their rep was very good. I didn't know anything about all the devices. Everything was good because it was new. Everything that I learned was after I got the device and it's just getting better and better.

    I have a behind-the-ear model and it has a little wire going into the ear canal. As soon as the tech put in the hearing aid on the right ear, everything was good. But I had a problem with my left ear and the hearing aid was just popping out. The tech adjusted it. My ear canal is too short so he was using different things to make the hearing aid fit right. It still is not like the right one, but it's a lot better than it was before.

    I like my hearing aids. I got some problems over there. Sometimes it pops out there and I can’t hear it from one ear and then they come back. The doctor said that's because of an overload of Bluetooth. Other than that, the hearing aids are very comfortable. Now, I don't keep on asking people, “What did you say?” All in all, it was a very good experience. What I did was a good choice.

    My hearing aids from Hear.com have a very small piece that fits in the canal of your ear with the wire that goes to the receiver on top of your ear. It's very small. People don't even see that I have it. I wear glasses as well. It even sits on top of the glasses. But I was home three hours with my wife, sitting across the table from her and she didn't even know I had them in.

    Each earpiece has a front and back microphone. The app has a device where you can direct the focus of that if you want to. So instead of surround, being 360 degrees, if I want to, like in a restaurant I used this last Wednesday when I was in a group setting with 10 people, I narrowed that focus down to right in front of me. I can reduce the background noises behind me so I can better hear people I'm looking at to speak with individually. To me, that's pretty neat. Since I had just a mild hearing loss, the hearing aids have helped definitely. Not to a great extent for someone that had a more dramatic hearing loss, but I can pick up conversations better. My wife noticed a difference.

    Hear.com misleads consumers to believe they will "work with" your insurance provider. Truth is, they don't. They offer a "discount" because you have that insurance, but you are not drawing upon any benefits from your policy. And even after the discount, the hearing aids are still expensive, about double for what a comparable hearing aid would be from a company like Jabra. Thus far, the assistance from the televisits has been good. The audiologist has worked hard to tune these devices to my hearing.

    Unfortunately, the sound is very unnatural and conversations are still difficult to understand, especially in noisy environments. Basically, the hearing aids emphasize treble to the point of distortion and blooming. Movies are still difficult to understand, and sudden bursts of noise, such as a dog barking or doorbell, are outright painful. Vacuuming and using power tools requires removing the devices. The tinnitus masking is really just playing noise in the hearing aid to distract your mind. So, now you have four noise streams going into your brain: the tinnitus, the masking, the louder ambient noises and conversation. It is too much!

    The app is very finicky and works poorly with Bluetooth. I have to shut down my iPhone and restart it whenever I put the hearing aids in my ears. They do not find each other. The issue is referred to another phone number. You will get lots of calls from the company during the trial period, both from the audiologist and someone in the business office wanting to keep you engaged during the trial. I am nearing the end of my trial and really thinking of not keeping them. I'm not seeing $4300 of improvement, and I will have to skimp on a lot of things to pay that $130 each month. I wish I could see $130 in quality of life improvement from these. The price is steep for you what you get. I really think there must be better options out there.

    From the first time I called for information about the hearing aids right through today, support was excellent. I was helped with financing and I was fitted right in my own home. They sent me a Tablet with software that Dr. ** used to do everything online. He did the initial hearing tests and fitting of the hearing aids. 2 weeks later, we had another online appointment where he checked to see if I needed any fine tuning, but all was fine. We had a final appointment to see if all was well. I am extremely pleased with the hearing aids and the support this company, Hear.com, gives. I just can't have enough good things to say about my whole experience. I don't know why people, and I know quite a few, will get hearing aids, and then use them for a couple days and then just leave them on their dresser. If they had these from Hear.com, that wouldn't be the case.

    I have been told by others that I could have paid much less for the hearing aids, I beg to differ with that opinion. I have been deaf in my right ear since I was 5. Someone blew a trumpet in my ear to wake me up and from that moment on, the ear didn't work. I am now fast approaching 70 years of age and I can hear on the right side now. My left ear isn't as strained and the right gets, fractionally better every day. The people who work there are amazingly helpful and friendly as well. It seems like they actually care.     I still have trouble hearing. I tried to adjust the hearing aid on my telephone to reverberant rooms or noisy surroundings. And that worked a bit, but I still have trouble even with the hearing aid. But it makes it easier to have conversations and to hear. But there are times it doesn't always work that way.     My wife pushed me to call Hear.com as a friend at church was very impressed with Hear.com. My experience was/is not complimentary of the company. I chose to return my hearing aids in first 2-3 weeks...I was lied to after I requested my 45 day return and refund. The employee ignored the request and followed up with a text message reading "Unfortunately, you did not qualify for the 45 day trial period..." An obvious scam.     We bought these expensive hearing aids earlier this year. They seemed to work at the beginning -- for the 45 day trial. Since then, their effectiveness has deteriorated. The company re-calibrated them with a second virtual visit. Still inadequate. Hearing loss is directly connected to dementia, and the wearer needs hearing aids that work. I called today to inform them that they do not work well and requested to return them. The company denied that request because we are beyond the 45 day trial, and we "signed the agreement". That is legally allowed and morally reprehensible. We do not recommend Hear.com, since they do not actually stand behind their product.

    I’m on my fourth set of hearing aids with Hear.com. They keep falling out of my ears and doing all kinds of things. Jennifer, the tech, is down to where she’s putting a texture on the ones that go on my ears and they should be back by the end of the week. Then we’ll send the other one in and get it textured, and maybe I can keep them in my ear. I used to call Arizona and it would take a while but we eliminated that and went direct locally. It’s a lot easier. I could hear now with the hearing aids even though I don't have two hearing aids in. I've got one and the other one will come back and we'll swap.

    We tried behind the ear hearing aids but I'm on oxygen 24 hours a day and I wear glasses. Those were three things behind both ears and they were always coming off. I'd turn my head quick, the wind would blow quick and there went a hearing aid. The only advantage is they were big enough to find. The ones that go in the ears, I've probably lost them 15 times and probably have over 30 hours looking for them. But I found them. I've been lucky. They're expensive.

    I like my Hear.com hearing aids. It has a normal voice. I haven't had any trouble with whistling. However, I have a question about how to tell whether it's off or not. You push the two buttons on the earpiece. The one on the top makes it louder the one on the bottom makes it softer. But I don't know if I can push those too much and turn it off.

    The rep from Hear.com was very good and did a great job. I have the behind-the-ear hearing aids but I’m having a little bit more problems with them right now. I'm not hearing as well from them as I was. The hearing aids with the Bluetooth pairing is awesome and works very well but not so much without the Bluetooth. Something's going wrong here where I'm not catching normal conversations in fairly quiet environments. But I’ve been happy with the company.     I wanted something very inconspicuous and Hear.com said they had the new technology that you can hear better at it and they had something that goes inside and was made in Germany, and they were very small. So, I called them, not realizing that they do your hearing test via Facebook. They send you the stuff and then, somebody's on a tablet watching you take the test. I wasn't crazy about that but that was the claim that went behind your ear and I wanted the ones that went in your ear. To do that they had to send me to a place in Overland Park, because I'm in Kansas, and it happened to be the same place I had taken my mother-in-law to a few months earlier, because that's where her insurance made her go. I was happy with the people there when I took my mother-in-law. They were very helpful and the people from Hear.com would keep in touch with me via text and phone call.

    I didn't realize you pick up so many little subtle sounds with hearing aids. When they're in, I hear things that I never dreamed people heard. I had worked in dentistry for 30 years, 12 inches from a highspeed handpiece and I knew I was losing hearing. But what put it over the top was my grandson. I'd have to ask him to repeat it sometimes two times. I'm not missing out on my grandkids over this.

    I've been working with Hear.com's reps for a couple of years and they've been excellent. The hearing aids are good quality but I wish they were a little smaller. Mine stuck out a little, so they were fixed. Also, I don't like them with the iPhone as much. A lot of times, I'll put one of my AirPods in my right ear because I don't have to carry my phone with me. The new ones have a better range, but they're better with TV. But they're still not great with the phone. I'm upgrading to a new iPhone and I hope they work as well with that as the one I have.

    Everything else is going very well. They're very responsive and they're close by if I have an issue. I can get in and they can either send the hearing aid out or fix it. But I don't like is that it has to be sent back to New York and it takes about two weeks to get it back, even with overnighting it. My mother goes to a different company and they fix everything right there unless it's something really major. That's the one annoying thing to me, is that you have to ship it out and it takes about two weeks to get it back, even with overnighting it.

    The hearing aids don't seem to be quite as loud as the other set was. Right now, I don’t have to worry about it ‘cause it's not that hot anymore. But during the summer when I had them, I sweated a lot. That might have had something to do with that one going bad. My last one was still good. They sent me the receiver for my right one. They took the old receiver out and put the new receiver in. It worked great for about three days, then I didn't hear anything any more. I can hit the little button that turns the volume up and down, and I can hear it beep in the other ear like it's supposed to. But if I hit the on and off button, I didn't get anything. It was frustrating because I could only hear on one side, especially on a phone call.

    The first lady I talked to was gonna send me a set for $4,000. It fit inside my ear canal. But the more she talked and asked questions and the more I answered, she got turned me on someone else and I got these cheaper, but they're not in the ear canal. They are behind the ear with fiber optic cable right down into the ear canal. They've been working good. What they explained to me was that with the type of hearing loss that I've got, the electronic package they need does not come quite smaller for the in-the-ear canal to do what it needs to do for me. They are minimal for $1,500 apiece and are digital but I could hear nothing. They gave me somebody else's.

    I bought my own and picked these. It’s $3,500. I’m getting a good deal. Hear.com's been right on time every time. The right one used to cut out a lot. Now, I just hit the off button and turn it completely off. Then I turn it back on, and it would come on. I still have that problem a little bit every now and then. It has something to do with the way the Bluetooth is interacting with my phone. I listen to TikTok videos, and I'll hear it at one ear but won't hear on the other ear. Then I'll hear out the other ear and won’t hear on this end. Then all of a sudden, I hear on both ears.

    I like the convenience of doing everything online with Hear.com. It was easy to set up and to follow up. I could do everything from home. I didn't have to try to go someplace for an appointment. Hear.com did an excellent job from top to bottom. They've gotten back with me right after I got everything set up, and everything’s still working good. I am enjoying my hearing aids. However, I got just one set of the little rubber connectors for the hearing aids. I don't know how to go about getting some extra ones.

    Your Representative is one of the Finest persons that I have Ever had dealings with!?! I will be 76 years old next month and had just come back from Florida where I celebrated my granddaughter's 5th birthday. While there, I was told on quite a few occasions that I needed hearing aids!?! So, once I got back home, I happen to answer one of your blind adds. It probably was not 10 minutes when I get a follow up call from Lia **, who is fantastic!?!

    I have, all my working career, been in sales, from starting out at the bottom of the sales ladder to becoming a national sales manager. I would not of hesitated in hiring Lia and the way she dealt with me proved my initial opinion was absolutely correct & "On the Mark"!?!     I had a problem with the hearing aids. Hear.com said they were sending me new ones. They sent me a note telling me I had to send the hearing aids back. I sent the one they were replacing back then they sent me a whole new pair. Then I heard nothing so I called. They said that they gave me an appointment. The guy set them up two weeks later. The right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing because they kept wanting the big container back with all the stuff in it. But I didn't have a hearing aid that works, so I couldn't send it back.

    Hear.com sent me the hearing aids and the computer to go along with it, and we fixed it up. Since having the hearing aids, I don’t say, “Huh” a lot, and my friends have noticed that. Things are louder. I don’t have to have the TV up as loud when I have the hearing aids in. There are times when I forget that I have them in, and I’ve gone to bed with them on before because I forget I have them on. They're very comfortable. I don't have a problem with them bothering me. If things get loud, I just turn them down a little bit.

    The cost was fairly good. When I had my hearing test done at the local place, some of their hearing aids were running up to like 7,000 and they were big and clunky too. I didn’t like that. I’ve been very happy with the ones I got from Hear.com. I was expecting to have issues with them, but I don't. They fit right in my ears, and I don’t even notice them being in there. I’ve been very impressed with them. I would show others my hearing aids, I’m not embarrassed that I have them. They’re very nice. I’m glad I got them. I’m very happy with Hear, and I would recommend them.

    I contacted Hear.com to schedule a trial for my mother. On the day of the hearing test, the dr couldn't get both of them to work on her end. The hearing test was done remotely, but we knew that. They sent us a new pair of hearing aids and instructed us to call when we receive them to set up an appt. We did, but the appt they wanted to give us was 3 weeks away. **! They "found" an earlier one after I asked for a return mailing label. On the day of the of the new appt. nobody showed up in the meeting besides us. No contact, No apology... NOTHING! I contacted the sales agent and asked for a return mailing label to send everything back. He never contacted us back to say they were sorry or anything. I just got a text via their APP stating to leave the box at the front door and UPS would pick it up. This is NOT a reputable company in my opinion. I would NEVER recommend them.

    The place we checked had hearing aids that were above $1,000. Also, they didn't do anywhere near the hearing check that the Hear.com guy did. The guy that handled us in New Haven, Indiana did a wonderful job. He opened his door for me if I need to come in for anything. We've had to have the hearing aids replaced once. I'm on a 45-day trial and so far, these have worked well.

    The clinic where I picked up my hearing aids was helpful when I was having trouble with follow-up questions. It’s taking a while to get used to my hearing aids but the comfort is fine right now. I’m having a little trouble with one of the ears. I have to be careful as some sounds get a little bit much. I can cut them off if I have to with my phone. I’m still learning.     I had hearing aids from Costco and they weren’t very good. Hear was much better. I have the back-of-the-ear model with Bluetooth. I can hear pretty damn good and I love the Bluetooth. Everybody was absolutely great, except the doctor who I interfaced with didn't have a very good bedside manner. She seemed to be technically proficient but was brusk. In the end, we got through things. Another issue is I had a problem calling back Hear.com. I was also absolutely flabbergasted when I got $2,500 from Blue Cross Blue Shield to cover part of the cost. They were expensive but I'm pleased with the purchase now that I have the hearing aids. All in all, I’d recommend Hear.com.

    Awful experience. I returned my hearing aid a month ago, and all of a sudden I had $385 taken out by Allegro from my account. Hear.Com told me provider didn’t alert them that I returned it. Yesterday I got a call from Hear representative saying, "Yes it’s all fixed." I call Allegro today - "No we did not get a call from Hear.com." Call Hear.com again - "Well we have to process, it takes couple days…blah…blah." The fact of the matter is- I returned everything in time - you did not do your job and took my hard-earned money from my account and now I don’t know when I'll get it back. Just awful and stressful experience. I won’t deal with this company even if I go totally deaf.

    I liked Hear's convenience and price. The guy I was going to at Miracle-Ear told me it will be $7,500 for a new pair. Hear told me it's 3,800. The girl who called me, Rachel, was awesome. I got modern hearing aids and they're doing good. They've improved my hearing. Rachel took the time to explain to me that in order to help my brain function, I need to wear my hearing aids every day. She said, "If you wear your hearing aids every day, then your hearing tends to stay at the level where it is. But if you don't, your brain sort of deteriorates with your hearing." I didn't know that. It makes a difference. I've had hearing aids for 10 years, but I've never really worn them consistently. She explained to me that the more you wear them, the more your brain associates the sound and you hear better. I would have been wearing them every day had I known.

    I had another hearing aids in the dim dark past. I have carpal tunnel syndrome which drove me crazy and I just gave up using the hearing aids at all because I was frustrated. And I was embarrassed at having to go back to the audiologist all the time to have him take the hearing aids that I have jammed in my ears out. But with the hearing aids from Hear.com, I didn't have to be changing batteries all the time. Their reps were always good and I appreciated the fact that a lot of the process was done on the computer because I could read at that point better than I could hear. So far, I like my hearing aids very much and life is, in general, easier because I can hear. Sometimes, they're so light and so unobtrusive, I almost forget I have them in.

    I like the fact if I'm in a setting where I have a lot of people, I can adjust my hearing aid and change the direction to pick up to the person I'm talking with. However, there are a couple of things I don't like about the hearing aids. The Bluetooth that comes through the phone goes in and out. I have my phone in my pocket but the left hearing aid would go out and the right one would stay okay. Also, it sounds like sometimes that there's not enough clarity on the hearing aids. It goes on the natural setting of 9. I'm having to bring it up to 11, but it's not. Sometimes the pronunciation is out there. Additionally, getting ahold of the representatives at Hear.com is not easy. I text someone but may not hear from them for a couple of days.

    When it comes to clarity issues, this could be due to the hearing aids being "dirty". Any build-up of wax can cause the sound to not come through clearly. We recommend cleaning your domes and changing your wax guards to keep up with proper hearing aid maintenance. With the Bluetooth problem, it would be best to disconnect your devices and then repair them so they are in sync with each other.

    I had a hearing aid already and I wasn't satisfied with it. Since having the one from Hear.com, it's been like night and day. All the words are crispier and clearer. I hear when I listen to music. I'm a big music fan. I hear instruments that I haven't heard in years. It's a better experience listening to music. I still need to be near the sound like if my husband's trying to talk to me from the second story, but overall, it's been a joy. Mine has Bluetooth. I do long walks every day. I can just hear my music through my hearing aid. Then when the phone rings, I can talk through my hearing aids. I love the Bluetooth.

    As far as Hear's customer support, it's very easy to get ahold of someone. Even if they take a message, they call me right back the next day. I've had the same therapist work with me the whole time. So, I feel like they tested me thoroughly and set the hearing aids up to really work well. It took a couple of adjustments, but they were not significant.

    I liked how Hear.com made things easy and that I didn't really have to do anything to get my hearing aids. They sent me all the stuff. Since I started using them, I'm not yelling a lot. Apparently, I used to do that because now, my wife says I'm a lot more quiet, and I could hear myself a lot better. When I have a concern, I'd communicate with Hear.com on on the app and I could send my questions in to them. They'd respond to me within the hour, so everything seems pretty responsive.     Hear.com was the first company that I found that would work with me as far as the financing on the hearing aids. It's a good company. All the people that I've worked with were right on as far as wanting to help and getting everything set right.     The hearing aids are awesome, but the service sucks. Every time that I had an appointment with somebody and I said I need some adjustment on the thing, he would make an adjustment and say, “Okay. Good? Okay. I'll see you next time.” After he hangs up, it would turn out I have a hiss in my ears that I didn't hear when he was online. And I couldn't get ahold of the guy for another two weeks. That is not working for me. So, I'm gonna send the hearing aids back. Hear.com saturates the audiologist with appointments. So, if you don't get something resolved in the 15 minutes that you have for that appointment, you're screwed until the next appointment.

    Hear.com's customer service level has been outstanding, and the hearing person they sent to me to fine tune the hearing aids did an exceptional job. So I'm very happy with that. The quality of my hearing aids is good, and my hearing is certainly better. The comfort level is good as well, if I can keep them in. I seem to have an issue between the two ears about size of the hearing aids, and I've gone to a smaller cap on the left ear and that seems to work better.

    My hearing aids from Hear.com sometimes hear and sometimes they don't. It's possible to get tiny things in your ear that can cause that hearing to go off and on. I've tried working it with the buttons and it doesn't seem to make a difference as far as turning it up or down. Hear's customer service has been really good. I tried to call Lisa the other day and I was put on hold and it didn't go through because I had got another call in and I also got some visitors at the same time. I intended to call her again today and tell her what was going on.

    I really liked the Hear.com reviews that I read online. They also had a Better Business Bureau rating and I liked that. Also, they don't just give you a hearing aid. They're very good about following up. They're excellent. Their service people always say, "If you have a problem, please call." The audiologist, Emily, was really great. She was always available for consultation and any questions and adjustments. As far as my hearing aid, there's a piece that goes in the ear and then there's a thing that goes behind the ear.

    My new hearing aids from Hear.com still have a lot of static in them. When people talk to me, they sound like they're in a tunnel, and they don't hold the charge very long. I'm having a lot of trouble with it. I'm a welder by trade and being around the welding machine, things go nuts. The aids constantly beep.     My hearing aids from Hear.com were working in the beginning. They worked well. I've had some different issues with them along the way, like filters, and then I had to change the length of the wires. But I'm not happy right now with them. They're not working for me. I'm sitting here, messing with them and trying to get them to work. I haven't had any trouble with their team whenever I've talked to them. They've been really helpful in taking care of things. I just hadn't heard from them in a while. It's frustrating because now the hearing aids quit working. They kept in touch with me pretty well. But once you get them paid for, they say, "Forget that. We're done with that one."

    The rep from Hear.com was super nice and wasn’t pushy at all. She was thorough once I decided to go forward with the hearing aids. She set all the appointments and did the whole thing. I’m just getting used to the hearing aids. I’ve had them for three months and I got so much Bluetooth stuff going over that. I’m computer literate so I’m learning that slowly. I love it. I’ve got a candy shop so, we have to have hearing. And I have Bose headphones all the time and it switches back and forth. It works. I just got to figure out which button to push when somebody calls. The hearing aids are super good quality and there are a lot more channels than the Miracle-Ear. Also, it was about $2,000 less. Since using the hearing aids, I don’t say “Huh?” quite as much and my wife seems to like that quite a bit.

    Hear.com made it so easy by doing everything from your home and handling all your needs, having the local doctor when you do the exam, and taking care of financing and helping with the claim to Medicare. They have very good customer service. We picked the second to the best hearing aids and I've had very good luck with them. It took a little learning curve but I'm there. So, I like them and I have the app. They do the job. You never know online when you ask for something, but they got on it and they were very helpful and the end result is I liked it.     My hearing aids fit me right and I can hear pretty well. The cost was a little bit expensive but the quality is good. I love it. Also, if something goes wrong, I always call customer service and they walk me through it or they tell me to come in and let them look at the hearing aids and see what's what.

    Teaching me how to use the hearing aids was the first step and after that, I had a couple of small issues, like getting Bluetooth to work, and the customer service reps from Hear.com were able to fix my problem in a very prompt manner. The hearing aids are working well. My issue was not so much hearing volume but nerve damage. And these help me to isolate what I need to hear. It would be great if they could put the technology into a smaller earpiece. But they could not do that with what I needed from them.

    I got conventional-looking hearing aids that are behind the ear from Hear.com. Their reps were very attentive to my needs. They listened to what I had to say and responded appropriately. It was a little bit confusing to me at first with all the things that I had to learn, and the rep was really patient with me and helped me that way. At times, I'm not totally satisfied with my hearing aids. Other times, I'm pretty satisfied. When I'm in a crowded area or room, I have a hard time differentiating who's saying what and from where the sound is coming from. But in general, my hearing is better. So, I'm pleased with that.

    Hear.com has been in the business and they have more experience based on what I read online. Customer service is very professional and knowledgeable about their product. I'm always one of the people that believe you get what you pay for. I did a comparison and Hear.com is probably overpriced a little bit. Lively has some hearing aids but Hear.com would have the better technology. I just went with what my best gut was.

    I hear better the male voice but not the higher tone pitch things. With the hearing aids, I thought the amount of improvement would be more. There are other ramifications to it all. I just couldn't hear certain frequencies. In certain environments, the hearing aids work to a degree. But sometimes after a while, you feel like you're talking underwater. Sometimes you hear the hum of yourself a lot of times. When the microphone pieces pick up noises, you're picking up quite a bit.

    I still wear them. I have tinnitus and the hearing aids do mask it. I can still go to Hearing.com and I can still try and do things. The only disappointment and disadvantage of their program is you have to meet when they're in their office. There's not much flexibility there. If you need to go and get assistance, they're only in your area once a week. You can call somebody by phone but you can go in and talk about it and figure out what the deal is. If you're doing things, you only have one day to work with. It's not like you can go, “Well, I can come in this day or that.” No, it's Wednesday between 1:00 and 4:00. If you can't meet that there, then you gotta wait till the next week until you can meet that.

    On the whole, I would recommend Hear.com but I would also include that people truly think about what they're trying to get out of it. For me, I'm glad I'm trying it because they say it will eventually offset tinnitus. My hearing functionality has probably improved maybe a couple of percent of what it was. I still sometimes have to go, “What did you say, hon?” or “What was that again?” When there's a lot of noise, it does help a couple of times. If you can take the app and modify the noises, sometimes you can get a good benefit out of it in some conditions. Some other products really couldn’t do that.

    I'm enjoying my new Hear.com hearing aids. They work good. Hear.com need to get the Horizon app fixed because it's not working as well. But I like the hearing aids' features. I can turn them up and down. I don't need ear buds because I can answer my phone through my hearing aids. I lost my package to clean my ears with. I called that in. The rep said to call back in a couple of days if I don’t get an email. Hopefully, they can get me one because there's none out here to clean my ears with.
