I wanted to fix some of the alignment of my teeth and it was important to me because I want to have a good smile. The process with Candid was super-efficient and the workers were nice. The app that I downloaded to document my pictures for every month worked perfectly. Candid is a good choice and if you are trying to improve your smile, you can go with them. It’s on the more expensive side but I'm happy with my results.

Candid sent me a starter kit then I sent them my teeth impression. Three weeks after, they sent me the retainers to use. I had good results and they contacted me straight away to purchase my retainers right before I ended my last week, so my teeth wouldn't have shifted. This is during COVID so I did it all virtually. If you have more crookedness in your teeth that you need to fix, talking to the Candid specialist would definitely be top priority.

Setting up with Candid was easy. Just filled everything out online. I was contacted by somebody in the company about purchasing everything and going through the whole process. They sent me the molding kit with instructions and how to do everything. Then I had to send it back. It was easy to do by myself. It was just a little weird when you're not used to having your mouth that full of molding putty.
I'm one of those people that's got a big gap in between the two front teeth. So my main goal was to realign my teeth so that gap was no longer there. I noticed changes within the first two months. Definitely, I could notice it more when I had the aligners in. But even when I took them out for a second, I could definitely see a difference between how much closer my teeth were. Then even going through the photos every so often, I could definitely see the difference. I had to stop doing it because I got to a certain number of sets and it was starting to tear up my gums. I would have been done in August. I have not had them in since then. But I was seeing results and happy where I was up to that point.

The monitoring where I would do my scan from home on my phone to send off to see if I was ready for my next step was impressive. Just go for Candid because it's definitely worth it. Don't second guess yourself.

Candid is affordable. It's also convenient because you can do it from the comfort of your home and there's always somebody to talk to to guide you through any questions that you may have. It was helpful because they texted with me to show me the visual of how my teeth were shifting. With the last call that I had to them, though, the lady didn't have all the answers like I was used to with everyone else.
I was trying to order my retainers and I couldn't remember my login stuff, so I was trying to have her walk me through it. She didn't seem like she had everything where she was supposed to go. It took a few extra minutes, but we got through it and it was fine. I got it. So I'm good. Unfortunately, I'm a grinder and the one thing I wish that Candid would have offered is something like acrylic mouth guards like with the dentist. That would have helped other people, especially those stressed out from Covid. That would be another thing to keep their customers coming back to them.

Candid is way cheaper than what it was gonna be anywhere else. The process took me about 16 weeks, and I felt the first eight were good. When my teeth started to really shift, I had a hard time getting the aligners on. I had to force them on. But, the results are perfect. My teeth look good. They’re wider and they’re straight. I get compliments all the time.

I was born with a huge gap in between my front teeth and I wanted to close that. I went with Candid and the process in the beginning was pretty easy. But then after I got the stuff, there was really no follow-up. I couldn't get my questions answered. I went through the treatment and nobody called to follow up. I don't even know if it worked because I used all retainers they gave me, and I'm on the last. I've been using the last step for three months now. I don't know what's next.
When I got the material, I called them and asked them, "Now what?" They told me, "Oh, someone will contact you." They never did, so I started the process not knowing if my teeth are moving right. It closed, but if I don't wear the retainer for a couple of days, then it opens up, so I don't know if I have to have it on permanently. I would have liked if somebody would have followed up and told me if I needed to go in for more exams. I'm not dissatisfied. It did what I expected it to do, but then I don't know if I have to be wearing this. I don't even know if the one I have now is the last set or if I need to have a different type of retainer that I'm supposed to be using or purchase.

Candid was at least a couple hundred dollars cheaper. So it made sense for me to at least try these aligners. They sent the molding kit to me and that made it really easy. There were pretty good step-by-step instructions saying how to do everything and I didn't find it very hard at all to do any of that. Whenever I would call their reps and have any questions, they're always there for me. The mobile application was really useful as well. I would always look at the 3D molds on the app and it gave me the motivation to keep wearing my retainers because I wanted my teeth to be straight. I'm still using my last set as retainers. I'm just wearing them every night to keep my teeth in place. It is working.

I hated my life some days but once you get through the process, the results are amazing. I love my new smile. It’s perfect. I recommend Candid especially when you don't want to pay for braces. There were multiple mistakes after my aligners were made. My bottom set went from a crooked set to a very straight set all of a sudden. I asked Candid if they could send me an in-between set and they didn't respond to my email. I emailed again a week later and there was still no response. It got to the point that they stopped communicating with me at all.
Their reps seemed like they were trying to be helpful when I first called. But when it came to me asking for a new set that would actually fit my mouth and help my teeth, they seemed very adamant against sending me a new set, unless the set was damaged. I had a damaged set before, which I sent them pictures of, and they sent me a new set for that. But with the new ones, they just kept telling me to use my chewies and shove them in my mouth, even though they don't fit my teeth. And I continue to pay off the $2,000 that I got a loan for, even though I'm no longer doing Candid. It was not a good experience. I wish that the company has better integrity.

I had to go into the office and the rep did the molding on my teeth. It was maybe 14 weeks before I received it. For some reason they couldn’t get my molding right. After I received the molding, they had to follow the steps in the process. I'm not happy with the results. The last step says you’re supposed to wear them eight hours during sleeping time. If I do that, once I take them off, probably around 5:00 PM that evening, you can start to see the little gap coming back. It’s not until I put them back in that it goes away. I called Candid but the phone kept getting disconnected from them. I gave up after that and I haven't reached out to them in a while. It was probably in August, which was when I was supposed to wear my last set of aligners.

That's the only thing I'm not so happy with. Other than that, the results have been very good so far.

About four months into the process, my daughter started seeing changes and she was in her last set at eight months. My daughter is very happy about the outcome and her self-confidence has improved. We opted to pay the extra to have the orthodontist have a monthly picture sent to him to show progress so that they could determine if my daughter was ready for the next set or if there were any concerns. That was a little bit of peace of mind. Also, with the facilitation of the Candid people, we were able to go ahead and process that through my insurance against the orthodontia. That helped to solidify that this was not a fly by night, snake oil kind of treatment plan.

I really love Candid. It's super easy to order retainers. I saw the ads and I clicked on one then I got the aligner kit. It's a lot cheaper, and it was super simple to use, so I went with it. My teeth were not bad, but I wanted my bottom teeth to be a bit straighter. They're super straight so they were starting to crowd and get crooked at the bottom. They are still but they have bit of a twist on them. It used to be where the bottom teeth were going into each other. Now, they look a lot better than what they did.

I had a teeth grinding issue, and my teeth were colliding with each other. I asked the doctor if using these aligners to straighten the teeth would help that problem. He said, “Certainly, it will,” so I went ahead and did it. It was faster and costs a lot less. The process and the results are good too. Although it did not take care of my original problem, my teeth look a lot better. On a different note, it’ll be important for Candid to let new patients know upfront they’re signing up for a lifelong expense. After the treatment is done, the patients have to keep wearing the aligners. They also have to keep buying it for the rest of their life, $100 every year.
Thanks for your feedback, Muhammad. We appreciate it!

The price from Candid was interesting, so I reached out and got the starter kit. I did the impressions and called it in, then paid for it and I started the treatment. The result I got could have been a little bit better, but I could tell the difference. I could have done two more trays and it could have been perfected. They were supposed to send me another impression to see if they could perfect it more. But it never happened and it was so hard to reach out to someone. If I had gone with Invisalign, I would have gotten the professional everything and the ideal smile that I really wanted but it would probably cost about six grand compared to two grand with Candid. So I just left it alone. The teeth ain’t bad.

I looked into invisible braces and Candid was the only one that didn't have a bunch of lawsuits against them. Also, they were the only ones who had orthodontists rather than dental specialists, which are very different things. They look at your stuff and go over it and it's not a one-size-fits-all package. It's really specialized. As much as it's remote and not one-on-one, the way they have it set up feels like they give a crap. They communicate and they do a great job.

I had braces before a long time ago, and a permanent retainer was not put in. The bottom row got misaligned again, so I got Candid. It was convenient to just be able to do everything by mail and phone. The price was nice, too. It was 1800 bucks as opposed to 6700 for Invisalign. The rep followed up with me several different times. When I had questions and there was something he wasn't 100% sure about, he ended up getting back with me and telling me whatever it was that I needed to know. He was more than helpful and I'm impressed. However, after I went through my last set of trays, it never got the bottom row all the way straight. I called a while back and they said that they were gonna send me another impression kit. I'm so busy with my job I hardly ever have time to do anything.

I had braces when I was younger and then the retainers, whenever I got them off, would leave such bad cuts on my tongue that I couldn’t eat. If there was anything salty, it would just hurt so bad with the retainers. So I tried Candid and it ended up being more pain than it was really worth as well. They didn't seem to fit right. It was just causing more pain and wasn’t really doing anything. The bottom may have a little bit of a change, but the top pretty much stayed the same.
From not wearing the retainers, the bottom moves back pretty bad. So there was just some that I wanted to straighten back out at least a little bit on the bottom. I reached out whenever I first started noticing they weren't fitting right. Even with the biting things, I couldn't get them to snap on properly in the back. I tried to email Candid at one point and I never got a response from them.

Candid was priced better for me than some of the other competitors. Getting started was an easy process. I was sent the starter kit for free so I could do the molds and send it back and find out what my treatment would look like. Once I sent them everything back, the reps gave really great customer service. The process was really straightforward and easy to follow which was a big plus. The worst part though is that my teeth move so for a couple of days my mouth would hurt. Other than that, I didn't have to pay for Candid right away so it kind of made it a no-risk opportunity.

I had a big gap in my front two teeth and I went with Candid's plan that had 13 steps. I got the pre-mold in the mail for $20 and sent it back, then they got back with me with the payment plan, which was nice. After that, I received the 14 trays in the mail in a box and everything was nicely packaged. I went through the cycle of all of them and my teeth straightened up. There was noticeable movement after a month and a half but the gap didn't close until the end because I had some other teeth that needed to be straightened out first. So the closing of the gap was the last step and I didn't really see what I was hoping to get fixed until near the end of it, but all my other teeth are straight.
Candid's customer service was nice and the sales rep worked with me. But it was a pretty self-explained process. I opted for the orthodontist and I would send the pictures in, then they would get verified. They’d send back any notes if they had to and I did all that on my phone. Other than that, the program made me eat less because you're supposed to brush your teeth after you eat so you don't have all that gunk up in your tray. It wasn't that bad though. It was just an extra process you had to go through every day and you get used to it after a while.
Thanks for your feedback, Braden! We're so glad you're happpy.

After I got to my last retainer, I got lazy and I lost one. Then I set up meetings and I've tried to contact Candid. It's been months and I've never received anything back from them. So after they got their cut, they were done and their whole program is a scam. Their retainers are great and they do what they say, but any company can produce them and anybody can follow the steps. All they’d give you is the same doctor's response or whatever response to let you know that it was time to go on to the next retainer. They would just change it up a little bit. But one time, I ate food, didn't brush my teeth, and did the scan with food in my teeth. And they said, “Great. You keep it clean. Keep the brush work up." They are liars.
So the last half, I stopped doing the scans. I’d wear the retainers straight for 14 days and I’d keep scheduling in. I only took them out to eat, never took them out for any other purpose. And every 14 days they'd be loose. So, I got to the end and definitely had noticeable change. After I finished, I didn't wear them for a couple of weeks. Then, I would get really bad headaches just trying to put them back in and wear them for the day. If I just pushed through the headache and wore them for 24 hours again, it was fine. But if a person always continued to have something like that and they didn't use them for the first 14 days even, then they would take them out all the time or halfway through the day, and their shift wouldn't be correct. But then, they would do the scan and Candid would tell them to move on. All in all, the retainers are never going to work for a person that's lazy with it.

I had an awful experience with Candid. I had one tooth on the bottom that was odd, so I wanted to put it back in place, and then go through the whole series of it. I was going out to a restaurant, and this kid that had perfect teeth mentioned Candid to me. I decided to do their system and in the beginning, it was excellent. When they sent the kit, everything was self-explanatory. I had no issues up until the last two months. You have to switch the shells every two weeks and as they got older, they started not fitting in my teeth. They were clearly not produced properly.
I kept the other ones in for a while and I just stopped using them because I wasn't happy with it. I should have had my 12th one as my retainer and then, my 11th one didn't fit. On the 10th one, I called Candid to ask if they could look into it and they responded with, “Well, maybe you didn't use your shells enough time. You have to use it properly.” I wear them long enough. They even send you a reminder to change them and I was following it. I'm a rule follower. I felt like they were blaming me for the cause, so I just gave up. I let it go 'cause some health issues happened with my husband.
I've been dealing with that since November and I've tried to reach out to Candid, but I've had no luck with getting a return call. I feel that my whole experience had been wasted. I wore those things constantly and I noticed a shift in my teeth, but I didn't get full satisfaction. I figured it was $1,800 of money I can't get back. Hopefully, Candid will contact me and either give me my money back or work with me on a six-month program.

It was an insane deal and it made the experience all that much better. But the app was pretty terrible. It worked fine for the beginning, but then they changed it. I lost access. I stopped getting any form of communication. The way my treatment finished was a bit underwhelming. I have been pretty patient because we are in a pandemic, and I haven't been comfortable going in-person to chat. But whenever I've called customer support, I've gotten good responses and quick support. So I am not upset in that sense. But it's just from a pure seamless experience, some of the offboarding wasn't what I expected given the situation.
Candid showed me how to put the retainers on when I picked them up. After that, I kept sending my pictures, and things moved on the 10-day schedule, as opposed to the 14-day schedule, which was great. There was a little bit of pain but there were no issues. I'm happy with the results. I'd like to see them again. One of my last molars might be misaligned, but nothing that's been too terrible. I don't know if it's a combination of my teeth moving quite a bit versus something not aligned correctly. Every time I put my retainers in the morning, it's fine. But through the course of the day, it shifts. Overall, I’ve had a great experience and I would vouch for Candid. It was a seamless and professional experience that was tailored to my needs as a customer, and they delivered results. If somebody thinks that Candid might be the right solution for them, I would totally back it up.

My top teeth are completely straight now. Everything is fixed. I would have to get brackets and actual braces to completely fix the crossbite on the bottom. But my top teeth are perfect and the bottom ones are greatly improved. At the beginning, the care manager told me that they could improve them but it was not going to be 100% perfect because of the way my teeth are. But I told her I was just looking for improvement. I'm 52, so I started doing this when I was 50 and finished when I was 51. I am not going to get braces at this point. Invisalign has brackety things that they can put on those but that did not work out. So Candid was the next best thing and it worked as well as I needed it to. I'm happy with the results. My teeth are not super perfect but they are much improved.
Regardless of whether you do Candid or Invisalign at your dentist's office, it's still a process. You've got to go get impressions made, and then they have to send off and they have to make those aligners and then you have to come back. But the good thing with Candid was I would get an email that said, "Hey, you can move to your next aligner now." I could do it when I got home from work, and not have to take off and go to the dentist. It was very convenient, and this was pre-COVID. That was a big thing for me because going to the dentist every two or three weeks was a little difficult.
I liked that there was an actual dentist involved that was looking at things and not just, "Yeah. It's been 14 days, go ahead and change." The dentist was in Knoxville and he was the one who was looking at my impressions. I would take my pictures and send them in, and then he would look at them and say whether I need to move on to my next step or not. I had crossbite on the bottom and some of my top teeth were a little out of alignment. My two eyeteeth were back from my front teeth a little bit. It wasn't anything horrible, but making impressions was horrid. I didn't like it when the dentist did it. I liked it even less when I had to do it. Then Candid emailed me and told me that I was a candidate, and that we can move forward.
I eventually talked to a care manager and we talked about payment plans and financing. I didn't have any issues while I was still an active client, but I did have a little bit of trouble finding a retainer after I was done. I needed to get a retainer and I couldn't figure out how to order it from their website. There was no link. But I emailed them and they sent me a link to order my retainer, so it worked out. Overall, the whole process went very smoothly. But a good thing that they could do is that as soon as I get done with a step, they could send me an email saying, "Hey, you're gonna need to replace your retainer in a few months and here's how to do that," instead of me having to say, "Okay, I need to do this, but how?" That way, I could put the emails in a folder and I could find the email later if I needed it.
One of my co-workers ended up doing her teeth through Candid too. We were talking about it and she asked me how many steps did I have. I told her about mine and then hers was not the same amount of steps from what she was altering. She had three fewer steps than I did. She told me that it was really good to know that my treatment plan was different from hers and Candid didn't just send everybody the same treatment plan. So it was individualized, which is good.
Candid was almost half the price of what Invisalign was going to be. My insurance would only pay $1,200 towards orthodontia for anybody. It was 4,700 for Invisalign, and I only paid 2,400 at Candid. I had 14 retainers and there were a couple of them that seemed like didn't fit right. Some part of it would rub my mouth the wrong way the whole time I was wearing it. They weren't sharp but it was the way they sat in my mouth. It would rub my gums and I bought some oral gel and sucked it up. I didn't like that part. It was not pleasant, but that was not Candid's fault. Any type of orthodontia would do the same thing.
Thanks, Mary. We appreciate your feedback.

Have patience until you see your first result and trust the process. I noticed that my teeth started shifting the older I got. I never had braces, so I wanted to keep them as straight as they used to be. I went with Candid ‘cause I liked their customer service and how in touch they seemed. What stood out to me was when I had a consultant do a 3D imaging with me and go over what that would look like in terms of adjusting the teeth.

It was pretty easy to get things set up. I ordered the gel to mold and I sent it in and then it came back. It was pretty simple and easy. I talked to customer service a couple of times throughout the process and they were pretty helpful. There was one tooth that kind of goes behind and it’s still a little bit behind but it’s straighter. But all my other teeth got moved pretty straight. Everything else worked pretty well. The aligners were good. They're kind of painful at first, but you get pretty used to them.

There was pain every time I had to change the retainer number. My teeth were being moved. So I had to constantly keep biting down and it was really hard for me to eat after. I love steak so eating that was hard for me. I couldn't eat a lot of the foods that I liked. But it's okay now. My teeth aren't as crowded as it was before. I like the result but my teeth are not as straight. But then it's my fault as well because I don't wear the retainers a lot. If you don't keep your retainers, then your teeth are gonna start shifting. About three to four months after, I started seeing the shifting of my teeth.
Candid doesn't look at your teeth personally all the time. It's not like going through the dentist. So they don't really know the process of where your teeth are shifting. When I went to the dentist, they said something about my backbite not being there. It's like I don't have that much of a backbite because of the retainer. Overall, I like the experience, but at the same time, it does cause problems. If people wanted to have their teeth look straight and not stay straight, they could try Candid out. Because you have to be strict on yourself to keep wearing the retainers. But if you're not a person to remember things, it's not gonna stay straight.

Then I saw this information about Candid where they say I just send everything off and it's done virtually so I picked it. I'm happy with the process. But with some of the aligners, the area where your gums are were a little rough or slimier than they should be. It kind of cut into my gums. That's the only thing I would have complained about. I had been referred by my dentist to an orthodontist, and I didn't like the guy. He was super creepy. I wanted to have invisalign-type stuff, and he was like, "Oh, no, no. We need to pull all these teeth and you'll have metal braces for two years." I was like, "Oh, no, I have no desire to go through that." Then I was watching TV and there was an ad for a different company. I was looking it up and it had decent reviews. Then, I kept googling to see other companies. There was a website, and it was ranking all of the different online places to get invisible braces. The most positive reviews and the most number of reviews were for Candid. So, I kept looking at their website and thinking about it. There were more reviews on their website and it seemed great. The price was not the least expensive, but it seemed the most consistent. There were images of where people started and where they ended up, and that was what did it for me.
First, I got the molding kit and I sent it in because they want to make sure that you're compatible and that you would be able to see results. Even before I committed and paid, they showed me where I was right now, and then a model of where my teeth could get to. I was ecstatic. The second set of the invisible ones is where I started to see it happening. It was super exciting. I kept them in all the time. I only took them out to eat. I stopped snacking because I didn't wanna take it off in the daytime. I would take it off for lunch, and I would only drink water. I showed my husband my teeth and he was shocked because he was not convinced that it would work. It was apparent like week three that it was definitely working.
I would tell others to make the purchase from Candid. I have a weird spacing in my mouth. My mouth is somehow too small for my teeth. So, I'm sure that the original orthodontist was right that I would need to have teeth pulled to have it set in a different way. But the final product through Candid was amazing. I feel like it was completely worth it. It's one of the best things I've ever done for myself in the past 20 years.

I went to Candid's store in Chelsea in New York and they gave me the first examination. I had a very good experience with them in the store. They were very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I had some questions and they would answer. They told me this wouldn't do like 100% I wanted to do. They also sent me a video of how it's like after completing the treatment. I thought it's good so I went with the treatment and I started seeing results with Candid after the third aligners.
The app is not that user-friendly. I think they have changed some version of it because I did not get any notification. I had to delete the previous app then download the new app. That was a bit of a problem I faced. Also, some aligners were too tight so for two, three days, it was a lot of pain. But after two, three days, it’s gotten better. Right now, I'm on my 11th aligners. I didn't use it for three and a half months or four because I was in a different country and I forgot my aligners here. After completing my treatment, I want to go with the retainers.

What really differentiates Candid is the dental monitoring tool. At times, I found it annoying, but it really helped to keep me on track, where I fell apart with other similar vendors. The process with Candid was trying. But I'm okay with the results. I went from my consultation in January and I was told that everything would probably be finished in six to eight months. I had already started my first payment and nothing had been done. It hit right at the beginning of COVID. My aligners were ordered and I was told that they were going to be shipped to me, and they were not. They actually shipped them to the studio and then the studio couldn't find them. Then they had to be reordered and then sent to me because, at that point, I couldn't pick them up at the studio.
The time was continually going and when I finally got them, no one reached out because they didn't realize that I had them. So, I started off with the first tray, and it was in for six weeks. Since there was no communication, there was nothing that was sent to the orthodontist with the scanning. So, it started off pretty rocky. I wasn't able to actually start fully until June. When in actuality, at that point, I should have probably been almost done.

I went with Candid for the cost and I didn't have to go into it and see a dentist or orthodontist on a regular basis. The process was actually really easy. I went into one appointment and they did an assessment to say whether or not I was a good candidate for Candid. Then I signed up there and I got my aligners and this other tool used to scan my teeth throughout the process. I got that in the mail about a month after I first went in there for the initial visit. Every 10 days, I took a scan of my teeth and sent it in, and I got either the go-ahead to proceed to the next set of trays or I was told to keep it in for another week, and then move on to the next set of trays.
I do value face-to-face interaction. You don't get that with Candid at all. So, if you have any questions, you have to send them through the chat and then somebody will get back to you. But you don't know exactly how knowledgeable this person is or are they just relaying information from the orthodontist. Also, you know your orthodontist's name, but it's very little information that you know about the orthodontist that's reviewing your scans. I also noticed that while I was approaching the end of my trays and my aligners, there wasn't really anyone reaching out to me. I had to reach out to someone and ask them what to do next. Then now I'm getting promotional emails as if I didn't just go through the process already. Other than that, the results are pretty good. It also wasn't too expensive.

I like the pricing of Candid. They also have a location in DC before COVID that I could go into. I didn't have to do everything through a mail kit and I could actually talk to someone. I could meet with them and there wasn't a fee associated with it. I wanted to have the spacing of my teeth fixed. I had a retainer when I was a kid and it pushed my teeth. They looked like giant gravestones with a big gap in the middle. I'm glad I did it. I didn't know my teeth could look good. I feel really good about my smile now. Every morning, when I take my retainer off and I brush my teeth, I'm like, Oh my gosh! My teeth look like this now. It does make a difference. Also, in taking care of my teeth, like brushing, they're easier to maintain and clean than when they were all out of alignment.
Their process was straightforward. I had gone into the office and they did these 3D digital scans. I downloaded an app. They came up with a plan and sent it to me, and then they alerted me of every step of the process. The only issue I had was shipping. They shipped them to the location and I had to go pick them up, which was fine. It was very close to where I live. But the emails made it seem like they delivered it to my apartment. There was a good day of us trying to figure out where they were actually delivered. I was like, "I don't want to go through this again." But, there was just some miscommunication about where they were sent. That was the only hiccup. But customer service was great. Then it worked out because I got them a couple of weeks right before everyone went into quarantine.
During the quarantine, the checkups were all done virtually. There was an app that I do these scans for and they take the scans and they send them directly to the orthodontist and then I get feedback in a day of whether I was doing a good job or doing not so good a job. However, when I ordered a new retainer last week, I found their website a little clunky to click around. I went in looking to order a replacement retainer and it took a long time for me to find where to do it. It wasn't so straightforward. It logs me in and then it was like, "Here's your treatment plan." I was like, "I already know that. I've already done that. I want a replacement." But I've recommended Candid to a friend already. She's in her final steps right now.

I looked at several products and I liked the fact that Candid had a real orthodontist preparing the molds and monitoring the process. They have it worked out better than the other companies. The way it works out is the teeth start realigning in the second or third week so you can see and you can feel slight progress in your mouth. The orthodontist and the medical people behind this whole program have taken some time to think this out. The doctors have created a good protocol and it should be followed to the letter. I went through the whole process which took a little over six months. I saw a definite improvement and I was very happy with the product. After I started using it, it aligned most of the teeth. It got to about 90% of what I wanted which I’ll accept.
I did have some difficulty in the beginning. I got the first mold and looked through all the literature that they gave me and it seemed all right. But at the same time, I still have to do a slightly better job. There were 12 different molds, teeth aligners in my package and I thought there should be two more. Someone misunderstood what I was asking for. I sent in the second set of molds and told them that it was partially because I wasn't satisfied with the mold if I made them at home. They came back with me a second time with 10 alignment brackets. That was even fewer than I wanted to. Then I had to go through a process of going back and getting the original 12.
They never really gave me everything that I wanted but I realized no system is perfect so I ended up doing the 12. They need better communication on that end. If someone is not satisfied with the initial grouping of aligners that they send out, they have to be able to respond to that more quickly. It took them about seven weeks to respond to that to get that straightened out. I have no problems with the doctor but the frontline people need to be better educated.

I don't know how long I'm supposed to still wear that last one and that’s the only thing I'm unclear of, but I haven't been so concerned to call them. I just wear it at night. Each time, they'd say to use the chewies. In my first shipment, I didn't get those, and I responded back. Ironically, my dog ate my second to last one. I liked Candid's process and that I could do it remotely with the video thing. It was really cool. There was no real guidance afterward, though, on how to trickle down into the final retainer, so that was a little confusing. I had to reach out to find that out, which was difficult because there's no real call center. Also, I wish the final retainer was a little more sturdy and wasn't something that I'd already worn for like two weeks straight during everyday activities. Other than that, I'm happy with the results.

I liked that Candid’s plan was all in one delivery versus having to wait on each individual step to arrive. That was a big reason on why I chose them, especially because with mail, it's so easy for things to get lost and I didn't want that to happen. My smile was too straight and it wasn't grounded on the side. So I had a good smile but I wanted to get it to where I wanted it. At the very end, I had people over at my house and I lost my last step so I was in the process of figuring out what it is that I need to do in order to hopefully not spend the same amount of money but get me back on track. I was already done but I can't find my retainer and so I’m gonna need to go and reach back out to Candid. I loved Candid. It was super convenient and effective. So, when people ask me about it, I recommend it.

Candid’s customer service was well so before Covid was a thing, I visited a booth that they had in a mall here in Virginia. I did a little research on a few other companies and I felt more comfortable with how they handled things over at Candid. It also seems a little less non-invasive and the price was more affordable. How to do the moldings was super straightforward and the instructions were clear. All around, it was the best possible choice to make. Also, it took three months to resolve my dental issues instead of the actual time of eight months that I was supposed to have it fixed. So that was another big plus. I had a gap and within the first month, I already saw it closing.
The product causes a light discomfort but depending on how you are and how your consultation is, you'll get used to it and they're also better than braces. I have to wear the product for an extended period of time, during the day and night. I only took them off whenever I needed to eat or drink something. As long as you wear them consistently for however much time that they tell you to wear them, then you'll see results. Because if not, then it will take a lot longer than you want it to and you won't get the results that you want. It's been an amazing experience. They fit well throughout the whole process. I lost my last pair of retainers not too long ago and I ordered them not too long ago also. I'm still waiting on them to arrive but overall, it was great.

My teeth have been previously straightened with braces but I had to prematurely stop them due to a job that I was at. I really wanted to get the rest of my teeth corrected because my gums had adjusted in a way that was uncomfortable for eating. Food would get stuck up there because my teeth were not in place with the gums.
I didn't like the experience that I was receiving from Smile Direct. I started looking at places that were similar to Smile Direct and I did my own research. I found Candid and the preview of the straightening process that they gave me was more custom to my face and outside of just making my teeth straight. From the experiences that I had seen in the past, they just make my teeth look like an arc. Candid made it my version of straight, which I really liked.
I really liked the process with Candid. It was very hands-on. They let me know about every single step and even a step that had nothing to do with me. They put that in the app and they would send me little messages like, "The orthodontist is currently working on your plan, currently making changes." I really liked that because it helped me to see that that whole process was actually being done. It wasn't just that they took a picture and somehow 3D printed my teeth into a plastic shell and sent it right back to me.
The results I got have been perfect and I was just bragging to my sister today. I have a couple of gaps towards the back that I didn't have before so I just have to make sure I pay attention when I'm flossing at night. I also had to ask the customer service representatives about a routine to follow because that wasn't given to me automatically. They let me know how to reduce the time with the last set of aligners. Now I'm currently doing eight hours a day at night.
Thanks for your feedback, Cheyenne! We really appreciate it.

Her dentist recommended that to her so I had a little bit more trust in Candid. Getting everything ready was great. I went pretty fast and I was wearing the braces all the time. They had a new thing where you can scan your teeth throughout the time to make sure you're not getting any cavities. That was great and very important. I felt taken care of. I put the dedication but they've also had the care for it, which is nice. That was my experience. My smile is great and I love it. I just didn't like that they didn't send me a retainer at the end. I had braces when I was 16 years old. I'm about 30 now so my teeth had begun to shift a little bit. I had gone to the dentist and they told me that my teeth were going to continue to shift if I didn't go back to braces. I started doing some research and reading reviews. I was comparing different online resources. I found Candid and I appreciated the fact that they had a way to check in with dentists virtually. I could have a cam option where they can scan your teeth and you send that in versus not having somebody track what's actually going on.
I'm completely done with the process and I'm pretty happy with the results. I don't absolutely love it and it could have been a little bit better. But I didn't follow back up with that, so that's more on me than Candid. Some people get refinement options with them. I've referred people to Candid because they asked me so many questions. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. However, there were a couple of bumps in the road or things that I felt were not communicated to me going through the process in the app.
Once I scanned my teeth, the app said thank you and that it had been downloaded. I was waiting for that next bit of instructions to say something like, "Wait, you'll get a notification within 24 hours to tell you your next step or to put on your next retainer." I never really got that. I just took it upon myself to put on my next fit. I was just guessing that I should do that. In the end when I did my last retainer, I was still being told to put on other trays. But I was done. Another thing that I didn't like was the chat room. Because of the security features on my phone, my phone would blackout after five seconds. I would open my phone back up and the chat room would be over. I would have to order a new chat which was inconvenient.

After my teeth had been straightened, I couldn't connect my back teeth anymore. I had to get my front teeth shaved down, which was fine. I had to get re-scanned for a new retainer after that. For all alignment processes, that it can create black holes in your teeth beneath your gums because of the realignment. Your gums obviously aren't changing shape, so people should be made aware of that upfront. Another thing is that it can change the alignment of your overall bite. So to get the full results, you might need to get some additional dental work afterward. Other than that, the customer service from Candid was very responsible when I had an issue. So, it was a great experience.

I had braces when I was a kid and then after high school, I lost my lower retainer. My teeth were already decent but I told myself to fix it. I saw Candid and it seemed like a decent price over Invisalign. It's all at home. I ordered the kit and did the try on thing. It was $2,400 and it sounded fine to me. I started wearing them and I went through the entire process. Then, I noticed my teeth were sensitive towards the product. I wound up chipping one of my teeth and I stopped wearing it for a couple days. I tried to wear back again and it didn't work out. So I tried to contact Candid through chat and I was told that trying to refit it would be an extra price. I tried to make it work but it didn't and so, I stopped wearing it.
My lower teeth are more crooked than they were when I first started. So I'm not satisfied with the product. It’s probably more buyer's remorse. If you have sensitive teeth, you should be warned about the product beforehand and maybe use a different treatment process. But it is what it is. Candid should be more open. They charge an extra 1,000 bucks and that was a bummer. If I'm gonna pay more, I'd rather go to an actual orthodontist and get a guaranteed thing now. It just happens. You buy a cheaper product, you get cheaper results. But I'm an understanding person and I understand the consumer market. I am partially at fault because I didn't follow the directions absolutely verbatim and being an engineer, I know the procedural compliance portion of it.

Candid was very friendly and they had a studio for me to go into and speak to a rep. Their process was very easy. From the app, the box they gave me, the trays, to the packaging for the remote monitoring, things were all professionally done and very organized. Their color palette, marketing, and the way their studio is designed are very pleasing. The customer support team was very responsive. It was very beneficial that they hand an orthodontist who did remote monitoring as well.
The only thing that Candid needs to do differently is to have additional little pull tools for me to remove my aligners. The initial set they provided only gave me one. That tool breaks when the user puts in a fresh set of aligners and it's really tight. I had to wait for another one to come in. That replacement got delayed in the mail so I had to order a new one. Candid needs to give two or three of those pull tools. My aligner got stuck in my teeth and I had to use a metal paint can opener to get it out of my mouth. Other than that, I'm 100% happy with my new smile.
If more people knew about the remote orthodontist monitoring service, I feel like that could be a major differentiator. A lot of people who are interested in doing aligners don't realize how important it is to have a professional to tell them whether they need to stay on the current stuff or it's okay to move on to the next stuff. Candid's orthodontists tell you because they monitor my teeth remotely. That is a major highlight. I've referred other people to use Candid.

Then, I saw the ad for Candid and researched it. I realized how relatively inexpensive it was, which was what got me started. Their service was great and it turned out to be, most importantly, a good product that got the job done as advertised. They sent me an initial kit with this little funky thing to open up my mouth to take pictures and submit to them to make sure I was a good candidate. They got back to me right on schedule. I was told I was a candidate and that they were gonna send me a kit in the mail where I could do detailed molds. I sent them the molds. Then, they sent me the box and clear instructions of how to use it, where I put in a new set every two weeks.
It was entirely virtual and flawless. I was able to do all that in what I would normally expect to be something that I would go in and be meeting with a dental professional in person. I was a little hesitant because it was all online but their service was awesome. I had some questions early on and I ended up financing it. I got on the line with a guy and he was extremely helpful. I already paid to have my top teeth repaired from a big chip and then my bottom ones cracked. I wanted to prevent future chipping. Plus, I wanted to look better. I'm very happy with the overall process and the results with Candid. With the phone app, I was able to see the video of my teeth every step of the way. It was really cool to see the scan of my mouth and then how it changed each week. I would revisit that all the time to see what I could expect. It really made sense too. I like that the most.
At the end, I got an email saying what to do. It was nice that every two weeks, I would get an email saying, "Time to change your aligner." But when it came to wean down to my final set and how many hours a day I was supposed to be wearing it, I missed any email communication. I didn't get any regular like, "Okay, now it's done. Time to go down to this many hours or that many hours." So that would be a spot to improve. But I'm glad I did it. Compared to all the other ones out there, Candid was affordable and professional. The technology was top-notch.

I looked at Invisalign and they couldn't work with me because of some of the gum recession that I had. I decided to see whether or not Candid couldn't. My teeth were crooked and my front teeth were set far forward, so it made it so that I didn't have a front bite. I've been incredibly happy I finished all of my first treatment. One of the things that they do very right for their customers is that if it's within six weeks after you finish your treatment, if you're concerned with something, you can contact them and they'll send your case to the orthodontists and discuss anything that you might be concerned with. Then if they decide to do more trays, you're not charged more.
My initial treatment had 20 trays, which took 40 weeks, and the bite on my front teeth was great and my straightened teeth were amazing. However, my back teeth weren't lining up exactly how I felt like they should, it didn't feel quite right. I called Candid and told them about it. They said they would send me some impressions, that I should take it then send it to them, and they would have the orthodontist take a look. I did that and sent some in and they said that it wasn't quite right. They would send it to the board and the board would review it then they would let me know whether or not they could help out further. It took about six weeks in total. But they got back to me.
Long story short, not only have they sent me another 10 treatments, so it'd be another 20 weeks of treatment to try and fix the situation with my back teeth so my bite would be better. They also added on the remote monitoring, which usually cost a significant amount more, so that the orthodontist could monitor my progress more closely, and it didn't cost me a single penny more. They've pretty much redid all of my treatment but it was all included in my initial cost. My new smile is great, just my new bite is a work in progress. Nonetheless, I would absolutely recommend them.

My teeth weren’t straight so I wanted to get them straight. When I looked at all the other brands, Candid had better reviews. Also, their customer service got back to me really quickly. When I did Candid, I was in my 20s. So, I didn’t want braces. I did them for 10 months. I’m still using the retainer. Candid had good customer service. When I have problems, their reps answer me back within the same day.

I had a retainer when I was younger but I wasn't religious about wearing it all the time at night. I knew that things could get shifted back, but as you get older, your whole face kind of becomes a little bit more narrow. I needed to do something because I hated dental floss. I’m in my early 60s and dental flossing was really problematic. I was having a hard time flossing between my teeth.
My daughter and son-in-law were doing some research and they tipped me off on Candid. They both got Candid, and then I got it too. It was affordable. I went in and had a consultation in the office, and then they got me started. I'm very happy with Candid. It was an excellent experience. The only concern I have is that it wasn't till the final stages of which then I finally saw the tooth kind of engage with where it should be. There was one area of my teeth that didn't get there all the way. But overall, I was 92% satisfied with the whole thing. I hope that things will stay in a permanent place. I do wear the retainer at night.
They took a picture of my profile but I couldn’t gain access to it. So I asked them to resend it again, and they did. But every two weeks, they send me a reminder to change it up, and that’s what I do. It was a pretty straightforward process. It worked for me, but I don’t think it can work for everybody. It all depends upon how the teeth come down from the gums, and it could be more difficult for others. My son wanted to get it but his teeth are not quite positioned as well as mine were. But during that time, there was COVID, and they sent him a video on how to do things, including getting his impressions. He wasn’t comfortable with doing it remotely, so he didn’t proceed with it.
The visual process being laid out to a patient so that they could see every two weeks where the movement was to be taking place was very helpful. They had to first expand the palette and then they were able to shift things in place. I’ve gone to my dentist here in Newton and they said my teeth look beautiful. I have plenty of space now between my teeth so I can floss.

That kind of customer service really made it seem like more of a viable option for me. It seemed like they actually cared. I was very satisfied with the results and the process. The only thing was that I ordered and paid for a bottle of the whitener and I never got it in. The customer service online was really hard to get ahold of. They had a brick and mortar near me where I could walk to and they did the 3D molding for me. I didn't have to do it at home and possibly mess up and send it in and send it back. I had a crooked tooth, but my entire smile wasn't crooked. It was kind of a waste of money to get braces. Going with Candid was a faster option. It was more affordable. It gave me a different look. The process wasn't difficult but sociall, it's not the best. If you go out, you can't wear them, especially if you eat. I wish it came with a cleansing kit or something that you could have while you were out. I have to wear it 22 hours a day, and you're out and about and functioning majority of those hours.
I ended up having a root canal so I had to stop wearing them. I was very close to the end but there was no follow up. When it was time for me to be done, I received an email but I had to call them and say, “Hey, I'm going to be done soon. What about a retainer?” But there was not a good process for getting a retainer. It was apparently extra. I would still have to slowly continue my process over time, but there was still no retainer.

I wanted to make sure that I have something to maintain the job that I had done before and not throw it away by not being careful or not taking care of them. I wanted to get aligners and Candid was the first option that I saw. I kept seeing the commercial. I decided to try and go for it. Plus, it was a free consultation and there was no compromise. If you like it, you continue and if not, you can go away. If I would have known about aligners back when I did my braces in 2011, maybe I would’ve done that instead of my braces. I’ve noticed a difference although I wish that it could be a little better. But overall, it's okay. I'm happy.

I purchased the Candid Co. Impression Kit on Black Friday last year in 2019. It took a while, but I received and started my treatment in January of 2020. This treatment took eight months to complete. My teeth, however, did not move correctly at the end, and so they sent me another impression kit to re-do my treatment process. I only needed one, perhaps two teeth fixed in the correct position, and I’d be set to go. I sent in these re-do impressions back at the beginning of September. It is now almost December, and I have yet to receive any new treatment. The Candid Support stated, and I quote, “ If your orthodontist determines that you would benefit from an additional treatment plan, you will be receiving that from us via email in the next two weeks.”
Two weeks have passed, and I have called them, to which they responded that the treatment would be expected in 2-3 days. 4 had passed given, and I call them again, this time another Candid manager said to expect within a week and an extra three weeks to print out my aligners. A week has passed, and another manager stated that it would come in 2-3 days, “give or take.” Three days passed, and I call for the fourth time. Another care manager stated they didn’t want to give an estimate of when to expect it to come because it would give me false hope and that the aligners would take within a week to print out. That call was last week. And yet, I have still heard nothing. I don’t mind if this process takes a very long time, but I do mind when there is very inconsistent information being passed around.
Overall, Candid Co. needs to rapidly provide new treatment plans to patients that have already received a plan that didn’t work out. A customer that has received the wrong order and is already impatient requires more attention than new customers. This because they have already paid for your service and it didn’t work out the first time. My senior pictures are coming up in December, and I had wished to have a perfect smile by then. Sadly, I feel less confident in my smile now than last year and have stopped smiling with my teeth.

I had wanted to get braces for cosmetic reasons 10 years ago and never did ‘cause it was expensive. My mom saw Candid advertised on a social media platform. When I realized that this was gonna be only an eight month thing and it'd be a little less expensive than braces that my parents are paying for it, I tried it. Their customer service was good. I got to their office and filled out a questionnaire, and they took 3D images of my teeth and showed it to me. It seemed very quick. I received an email from the orthodontist saying that this was what they were gonna send to me and that I qualified.
I got the box in the mail and started using it, but I wasn't trusting. I could have stayed in touch better with them with my questions, but I was just, "Well, I'm just gonna do this and see how it goes." The process took seven to eight months and it was simple. It was all done efficiently and I was able to see changes quickly, 'cause it was such a short time. I definitely am happy with my smile now and I don't think they could have done a better job than they did as far as how I straightened my teeth. There were times when my bite felt a little misaligned during the process and that freaked me out, but it righted itself. It has always felt different ever since the beginning, but I adjusted to it at this point and it’s fine.
I had a great experience with Candid. I ended them on the last week of July and my teeth turned out great. It was perfect. It was just before my wedding and I had to have nice teeth. I am currently wearing my last aligners at night. The thing that could have been done better was checking up on how things were going. For me, getting phone calls or texts would have helped. I never received much contact other than through an email, but that was on me. That was my bad, not checking it. It was crazy how it was very virtual and I never met my orthodontist. It feels a little distant in that way. I don't know for everybody if it works that way, but their product works and I wanna recommend it. I like my teeth a lot.

My experience using Candid was exactly what they said it would be. It was super easy to follow along. I didn’t have any problems with the timeline at all and I was really happy with the result. My only negative is I tried to participate in the referral program, and they said that the person I referred to them ended up using a different coupon. I was comparing Candid, Invisalign and another one. Candid was one of the ones that stood out to me a little bit more on the versatility that they have as far as the people and how fast you'll receive it, how you could do it at home and you bring the kit and how easy it was. There was no real pressure. I don't have to come and keep coming in to switch out my trays. I love that it was so easy for me to do things on my own. I work in an office setting, so I need to be able to use most of my time in the office. I don't really have a flexibility to go into an actual dental office to pick up one tray. I did bring the whole treatment home and be able to do my treatment amongst myself and see the changes and pretty much watch my teeth transition to the smile that I want. I did like that.
The process was a little painful. I didn't have overlapping teeth. I just had two gaps. So, it was a little uncomfortable in the beginning, but then it tightens off. Candid is good. The service was amazing. The women that helped me open up the actual account to start my treatments were great. The environment was very clean. No one ever called me, though, so I could get my retainer. Because of COVID, they were closed for a little bit, but they reopened. But I would definitely suggest and refer other people to them if they were looking to make their smile a little bit more appealing.

I had some crowding. There was an overlap between my front two teeth. There were some spacing issues towards the back of my teeth as well. I went on to the Candid website and I saw that there was actually a studio, because I knew you could have your own aligner kit, or you could go into a studio. I wanted to go to the studio, and I found out that there was one in Dallas, so I did that. I did a bit of research and I liked that the plans are designed by orthodontists rather than dentists, that are actually more specialized in teeth movement.
The first few weeks were painful, but that's expected. After that was every two weeks changing them out. Everything was labeled. I liked that you had your kit. They told you all your stuff, and they gave you the chewies, the whitening treatment and everything came with the kit. That was nice. Not having to have braces was great. And just being able to do the clear aligners was awesome. I'm happy with the results. My teeth are straight and I love it. I love my smile. It has been a huge confidence booster.

Cosmetically, my teeth looked better, but my bite was unworkable, which was apparent from my impression molds and the 3D rendering I saw online. I continued to wear my retainers in hopes of improvement, but none came. I consulted with two local orthodontists, both of whom said I had to go back to zero and do a whole 18-24-month course of treatment ($6,000+). I stopped wearing my retainers and my bite improved to the point that I can now eat comfortably. My smile is marginally better than originally, but I went through a lot of expense and discomfort to end up essentially where I started.

I was trying to look up aligners for myself because I used to have braces and I got them off too early when I went to study abroad. Then my teeth were shifting. My two front teeth will twist if they go back to their original state, and then the two to the right and left of them sort of pushed in. I don't want people to say, "Ugh, you have braces? We can tell." Then I'm already self-conscious as it is about my smile, so to not be self-conscious anymore would be great. I saw that Candid had a pop-up in Oakland, and so I went there. I got it done in person because I wouldn't have been able to do it, being now, I would've ruined it. I like that Candid works with real orthodontists.
It's my own fault that I didn't wear my aligner longer, but I still am smiling with these teeth. My two front teeth are straight again. The ones to the right and left of them are mostly pushed back out. But I didn't wear them for the last 22 hours of the day when stuff shut down because I was working online virtually and stress-eating. So, I never had my aligners on. But for when I did wear them, which was at night, it did the job. It did the trick to make me less insecure about my smile.
Candid has a super simple process. I love the fact that I got everything at once versus at my door each month. The responsibility just falls on the person. And so, I fell off when stuff shut down, but that's because it was a pandemic and I was stressed out. But other than that, it was good. Candid's customer service is solid. I broke one of my retainers when I was in boot camp. I called them, and I got it like five days later. Using Candid is easy if you follow every step. It is on you at the end of the day.

They also did a pretty good job of checking in with me and making sure everything was going well. I was very happy with them. I used my aligners from November to July and they worked great. They fixed my smile and were really helpful.

I had braces as a teenager for a while and after not wearing retainers for a decade or more later, I had some gaps. That didn't bother me so much aesthetically, but I got a lot of food stuck there. My dentist recommended tightening my gaps, so I looked into it. I’ve seen comparable companies, but Candid had the right deal at the right time. They offered a good military discount. They also had a very straightforward process. They send you the kit to take the impressions of your teeth, you mail it in and they get back to you. You also have to take photos. After they receive back the impressions, they communicate with you, which is like a consultation, and they discuss what exactly they could do for you.
They scan the molds to get the rendering of your teeth and then they send you a 3D rendering, which was cool. The animation showed the step-by-step process from each adjustment from where you're at and where it'll finish. There’s good visual on that. With the packaging and the whole consumer friendliness, they made things easy to do and easy to understand. When they send you the retainers, they use a filing system that’s color-coded and has dates. They also send email reminders to let you know when you're supposed to change over.
It was a nine month process and I was worried about whether or not I would have the self-discipline to follow through, but I didn't have to think about it too much. The retainers that they send you are the exact same retainers that you get right after having braces for the first time, so it was familiar. It wasn't always comfortable using them, but having had orthodontic work removed the intimidation factor. Their product was well-made. The adjustments were small enough that it was never overbearingly painful. I'm perfectly satisfied with my smile.
Thanks, Brenden. We really appreciate your feedback.

I've always hated the way my teeth look. When I was younger, my parents didn't want to spend the money on fixing them because it wasn't a huge issue. I was looking into multiple options as far as straightening my teeth. Candid popped up on my Facebook ‘cause they were running some sort of promo on the starter kit for the molds. So that's how I first started hearing about it. And then once I was into it, and saw that you could do a consultation in San Diego since I only live about 40 minutes from there, I figure that was my best bet. And it was also the cheapest out of everything that I found.
The process went very smoothly. I went on a weekday. It was a little weird because Candid was in a building that didn't really work on the weekdays. So it was a little confusing at first. Otherwise, everyone was very polite. The consultation went very well. Everything was very effortless as far as how stressful some of those things can be sometimes. Everyone was able to answer any questions I had. Everyone was always very straightforward in the answers, and what I was to expect is going into it. Towards the end, I ended up losing my Step 14. So I ended up having to wait to get a step reshipped to me, and then they ended up sending me a permanent retainer instead. So I had to wait even longer to get that step. I ended up falling behind a little bit in my plan. But now, I feel pretty confident with my smile.

I asked my dentist how much it would cost to do like Invisalign at her office and she said it would be $5,000. I said that was out of the question. I went with Candid and I paid in full during the promotion, so I only paid $1,700. I really enjoyed my process with Candid. I used to have a pretty prominent front cap and my four front teeth were crooked, but now, everything is all straightened up and looks great. I love it. I was always a person who smiled, but now, it's like I kept my smile and I go, “Oh, yeah. It's good that it's straight now.”

I am overall very happy with the result of my teeth. I went into an office for them to scan my teeth, they sent me the box with the steps and the process to straightening them was easy to follow. My only complaints are that no one tells you that it hurts really bad when your teeth are being moved (to the point where you can hardly eat anything) and when contacting help through Candid, they suggest you go to an orthodontist (when an orthodontist is the one who created my teeth trays). I was having issues with my teeth sensitivity and it hurt for air to even touch my teeth and I assumed that they dealt with all kinds of issues enough to know how to help.

There was a more practical layout to the plan from Candid that I could see online. They also had a lot of really positive customer feedback on the Facebook ads, and some of the other companies didn't. I got braces years ago when the rule was you wear your retainers for a year, and then you toss them. That clearly did not happen for me because my wisdom teeth finally came, and they went even more crooked than before. So I wanted to fix them.
For 1,800 bucks, the process took less than four months. They look substantially better than they did before. I've also noticed that I don't have as many headaches as I used to, which was a lovely side effect. So I'm very happy with it. I even told my wife that she should do it too. My wife has been wanting to fix her crooked teeth. I told hee that, It literally can’t get any easier than the way you guys have it set up.

I was doing research online for alternatives to the metal braces and I read reviews for all of them, from the in-line to the trans. I really liked the fact that I could go in and physically see somebody with Candid and they could take the impressions of my teeth. The retainers came when they said they would and everything went as planned. There were two sets that did not fit right and because COVID already hit, it would take time to try to resolve it with taking pictures and getting things, so I moved on to the next one. And they fit perfectly as well as all of the rest of them. They also have a promotion when you came in to their locations and they gave me an extra discount, which was awesome.
I'm so pleased with the process overall. I would have wanted a little bit more for my teeth but if you look at them, they're so much better and I love my smile. I also don't mind wearing the retainers at night. I put them in then I go to sleep. And even if I missed a night, I'm not upset. It's not like I've gone two or three months without them. If I forgot them and I'm taking a weekend trip, it doesn't upset me. I love their whitening stuff, too. It's awesome and I don't look like I have fake white teeth. They just look like healthy white teeth and don't look like they glow in the dark.

Candid seemed like the only better offer. I wanted to make my teeth straighter and to close the gap. I was satisfied with the results. Candid should be teaming with people to put in brackets in the back of your teeth, you don’t have to wear the same set, the last set every day. Sometimes I don’t like putting it in, and my teeth hurt for the next few days if I don’t put it in every day.

I got a beautiful box that was very organized. They sent me an email telling me what my steps were. I wore my set as I was supposed to every two weeks and they didn't make me very sore. My overall experience has been good. I went to the Atlanta office for my initial consultation. The overall experience was really good, minus the fact that they will say anything positive (even when inaccurate) in order to get the sale.My a ligners took quite a bit of time to get delivered to me from the initial consult; but once they got there, I was able to start right away.
Half way through I signed up for dental monitoring, it is just another way for Candid to make money. The process is faster, because now you get to change aligners in 10 days instead of 2 weeks. But I question if the ortho reviewing your scan is really looking at your file or if he just sends the generic messages from the system. The reason I say this:
1. Messages are typically the same, and you can tell they are machine generates.2. I reached the end of my initial treatment and CLEARLY had lots of gaps and bite issue; instead of telling right away from the last scan I sent that I needed a refinement. The message from the DM app, just said to move to the next tray (when I had none left) and the app itself said I completed my treatment.
3. I had to contact Candid, fill out a form for refinement, then take the same pictures as I did for my scan, so that the Ortho can determine if I need a refinement (spoiler alert, I needed a refinement).
To me the dental monitoring is a scam, because they should've been able to tell from my last scan, that they needed to automatically send me the refinement paperwork AND the molds for new trays. This resulted in me waiting over 2 months to continue the process. I have one tray left from my refinement, and I can already tell that I will need more trays, as I still have gaps and my bite is not closing properly. I wish they would be more accurate with the trays they send.

Really misleading and poor customer support. If you're going to have a product that is handled almost exclusively online, you need to have a website for users of your product, not just marketing materials.
