    In the beginning my experience was great. Now we’ve hit a delay in treatment due to an poorly made aligner for my top teeth. This is my SECOND set of aligners. This has obviously pushed back my date of completion to late August or early September. I had originally planned on being finished in July.

    My Byte experience has been going great. I can definitely tell it is working because it is super painful. I have used my Hyperbyte quite a lot and it eases my pain. I am on week six and my crooked bottom tooth is coming in to fill the small gap slowly but surely. But overall my aligners never cut my lips or gums and are very great quality!

    Braces review. I was sad that after 4 yrs of braces as a kid I was seeing my teeth reverting as I got older - I’m headed into week 5 of my Byte experience and it’s been pretty amazing. I was seeing results by week two in my top teeth and seeing results to my bottom this week. I have a total of 11 weeks to do. I checked with other alignment companies and Byte had the best pricing overall and could do without having to go through a dentist. Looking forward to the end results.

    I highly recommend the nighttime aligners. I thought I would be ok wearing them all day but am now a firm believer the 10 hours a night is the way to go! The vibrating mouthpiece quickly dissipates any pain after you apply your aligners.

    3 weeks in. First set of trays did not fit. Had to go through some hurdles to get a second set of trays but they seem to be working very well. First set was much too tight. Now that I have the comparison, it feel like maybe it was starting off at an accelerated week and not the first week, but that is speculation. Few things, I had to learn on my own, online such as what haloing is and that you may have to wear the trays longer than the estimated treatment plan. So far however I'm not expecting that I don't have any haloing with the second set of trays. First week did not fit over my molars so I did have to clip them and the second set as well, but the third set of trays I haven't had to do that, so I think there's progress being made.

    Everyone that I have spoken to on the phone has been very kind and supportive. They have not rushed me. They have taken the time to listen to my concerns and questions. They're all very friendly. Every once in a while I do hear a "script", they'll come out telling me to file down the sides to clip it over and over at any mention of discomfort. They have information to provide me and help me do that so, I think that's a little bit route but overall an A+ for customer service. Also if I do end up having to do this longer, they are committed to providing treatment until completion.

    I had dental insurance to cover $2,000 for Invisalign (4K total) but it wouldn't have covered the $500 for retainers and the fact that this plan gives you 5 years worth of retainers and cost a slightly less than it would have cost me with my dental insurance, was a good selling point. That in the shorter time frame to complete. I would strongly recommend this product in this company so far in my experience.

    The receipt of the first impression set was very slow. After I completed it, The first impressions I sent were never processed. I had to reach out to the company to have another impression set sent and repeat the process which delayed my start by over a month. It was a little frustrating.

    Based on my initial consultation, I was told I would receive treatment for both upper and lower teeth. When I received my aligners neither fit me. I submitted a second round of impression kits, and now I've only just received the upper aligners. When I called and spoke with the support staff they informed me that the doctors there (at Byte) no longer feel they can treat my lower teeth. I asked if there would be a cost adjustment based on the fact that I paid for upper and lower, but am now only receiving upper aligners, and I was told "no". To me this constitutes fraud as bait and switch.

    It saddens me to have to write this review. I had high hopes after reading the positive reviews for Byte. I decided on the nighttime aligner program and was given an 18 week program (with 18 sets of aligners). Every week when it was time to change aligners was miserable. It often took an hour of using the Hyperbyte device to get the aligners to fit onto my teeth (as opposed to the 1-2 times recommended). The aligners were always ill-fitting and were constantly scraping my tongue and gums, causing painful cuts. As time went on, my jaw and teeth began to hurt every day.

    I continued on with the process, since I could see movement and figured this was part of the treatment. As time got closer to my last set of aligners, it was becoming evident that my teeth weren't coming together as they should. Not only were my midlines not centered, but the gap on my top teeth was still there. I reached out to Byte to express the pain I had and my concern with the treatment. They asked if I had my old aligners, because they needed me to "go back". What?!?! Why would I keep those? I said I had tossed them and they said because I didn't have them I voided my forever warranty and I would need to repurchase the plan for an additional $900. Since I followed the program to a T, I was shocked they wanted me to spend more money, even though I didn't get the desired result.

    It was at this time, I decided to visit a local orthodontist. After a thorough exam, they confirmed that the program I was on with Byte had actually thrown my bite off. My bottom teeth were striking were striking my top teeth, my midlines were off and bite in general was no longer lining up. I shared this information with Byte and they told me they don't offer refunds. Since I was in so much pain I decided to start a new Invisalign plan with the orthodontist (cost $4800). The difference between the aligners is night and day. Gone are the thick, uncomfortable, rudimentary aligners that appear to be made by a caveman. Invisalign are thin form fitting, with no sharp edges. I asked what would happen if I needed more aligners or if I threw away my aligners, they responded, "We would just have more made." What a concept?!?!

    If Byte had done their job, there is no reason I would need to do 36 more weeks of aligners. Yes, 36 more weeks! It's clear now that Byte could care less about their customers. One look at their BBB page and their F rating would confirm this. Stay far away. Spend the additional money and have your teeth straightened the right way.

    So bear with me, this is going to be a long review. I normally do not write long reviews, however this company has put me through an incredibly arduous process that resulted in over a grand wasted, not to mention lots of time and meticulous work that has gone down the drain. On 5/18/20 I ordered my impression kit from Byte for NIGHTTIME ONLY aligners. After going through the process, my treatment plan was created and my aligners were being made. After receiving my aligners and using them (painful process fyi) for 6 weeks and receiving no correspondence from Byte, I reached out to them.

    Going in, I assumed they would want to review pictures every week of one's progress, however this is not the case. I was informed that the first time I would be prompted to submit progress pictures is week TWELVE. Mind you, the entire treatment plan is 30 weeks. This was the first red flag, however they stated that they would like to receive pics now since I was slightly concerned with how the aligners were fitting. I obliged and submitted the progress pics via email. Let me clarify this to you; the same people never review your pictures. What does this cause? Inexperienced responses and conflicting information (more on that later).

    So after my pictures were "reviewed", I was told to stay in my aligners for a period of time and increase HyperByte use. I did this and followed the instructions meticulously. After the period of time, I submitted more pictures and was told that the aligners were much better and moved on, this time using the HyperByte for 30 minutes a day.

    Fast forward to the opening of week 13's package, which contained instructions to submit what would be normally the first "clinical review" (again they will never specifically tell you who is reviewing the aligners, only "clinical" or "dental" team). After submitting this review, I was told to go back a few aligners as there were still problems. I was told to go back to WEEK SIX. So all the way back to when the previous correspondence happened, where I was told that my aligners fit great after a short extended period of wear and that I could move forward. At this point, I was told to send pictures every 10 days after they apologized for their poor line of communication. Also, let me point out that very often these correspondences were by different people that were just catching up after reading old messages, I assume, cause they rarely had the same name or had no name listed in their email.

    Anyways, to make it short, over the next few months I frequently had to re-do weeks after submitting pictures until December 16th, 2020, when I was told out of the blue that my aligners were fitting so poorly, I must completely re-do my impression kits and start over from WEEK ONE. This was a major shock, as previous correspondence had not indicated that my situation was this dire at all. Again, I paid a lot of money for these. I followed instructions to the T and never missed nights of wearing the aligners. After hearing about this, I was fed up and asked for a refund.

    I'll go ahead and tell you the one thing Byte staff is good at is letting you know they do not have a refund policy and that sales are final. After they convinced me this is "common" in teeth treatment, I went ahead and did another impression kit and started over. Did this fix it? Of course not, because Byte had clearly agreed to fixing my teeth without knowing for sure if they could do it. Their aligners would simply not work for my situation. Anyways, moving forward with my story, on January 19th, 2021, I received my new set of aligners and started wearing them.

    After a month of hearing nothing, I again was the one to reach out to Byte support, who stated that I had been notified to submit pictures via their website, which is funny since that had never happened before so of course I wouldn't be checking the website. After submitting pictures and again not hearing anything (this time checking the website and my email), I reached out again to Byte support, which stated, and I quote, "Unless you bring up concerns, we won't check the photos submitted online". Anyways, more delays continue (including having to wear my week 6 aligner set for over 3 weeks) and I start to see the pattern.

    I reach out because I have not heard anything, I am told my teeth are not sitting flush to the aligners and that there are air gaps, I am told to wear them for 1-2 more weeks while increasing HyperByte usage, I am then told they either fit better and to continue to the next week or to go back a week or longer and continue from that point. If I continue, in 7-10 days I am normally told to go back anyways. This causes me to obtain 0 progress. After a few months of doing this, I am told for a second time that I am going to need to make new aligners. This was the final straw.

    At the point, Byte would either take a literal week to respond or not respond at all, so I am frequently forced to call them and try to get information. Eventually, my case is escalated to management and I am offered a 50% refund. I'm probably a sucker, but I went ahead and took it since they had made it crystal clear that refunds are not part of their policy since my new smile is "guaranteed". Yeah right, the only "guarantee" is that they would continue to stall and the aligners would continue to not fit. So on 5/17/21, a FULL YEAR from when I started, I received half of my money back. My teeth look no better and I am out over $1000.

    Complete waste of time, stay far, far away from this joke of a company. They are clearly inexperienced and in my opinion, very shady. Other companies may charge more, but trust me you do not want to go through the frustration I have. Thanks for reading this, it's been therapeutic to put this company on blast. I truly hope it goes under so that no one else has to experience what I have.

    Byte has really shifted my smile and it has been very convenient, but I was supposed to be finished in 15 weeks, instead it has spanned to over 30 weeks. It might be that I have a stubborn smile, but it has taken longer than expected. And as a heads up, after my teeth shifted, I have noticed that my mouth is crooked, so when I chew I notice a drastic and uncomfortable difference. If you have an uneven jaw, beware of that issue.

    I am about 6 weeks into my treatment and can already tell such a difference in my bottom teeth! Sometime I feel like it’s better to wait 10 days per set rather than the 7 but overall I like it. It can be a bit harder to get a hold of a Byte advisor but I wonder if it’s the time differences too. They usually get back to me on time but some days it can be a couple days later. Luckily it’s never been anything emergent. I would definitely recommend so far!

    This process has been smooth and easy so far. Instructions are clear and precise. I'm in my fifth week and I think I can see slight differences. My mouth is not particularly sore at all.     I wanted to try aligners after not being satisfied with previous work done by braces and seeing my teeth shift after 5 years of getting them off (I did wear my retainers every night for those 5 years). After extensive research, I decided that Byte was the program for me, and I have not been disappointed whatsoever. From signing up to wearing my aligners everyday, the process has been extremely easy. I did select the Night Time aligners program because I wanted to be able to work through my days without having to worry about my aligners. The aligners themselves are of good quality and relatively thick (I believe I read somewhere in my pamphlet that they also double up as a night guard to protect against teeth grinding). I can definitely feel pressure every time I put on a new set every week, but the pain is nothing unbearable. I would recommend this to anyone looking to improve their smile!

    I've had no one contact me through this experience. In the final week I contacted them and told them my teeth weren't close to straight but I was on my last week of aligners and asked for advice. I emailed 3 times, called, and submitted a chat. It still took a week for someone to get back to me and then they just said someone would be with me within 72 hours. 72 hours later no response. Then they just had me send pictures and said go back 4 weeks with the aligners. So frustrating and disappointing.

    I'm about 10 weeks into my treatment, customer service has been amazing from the beginning. They're experiencing a high volume so the last issue I had took a few extra days for them to get back to me, but they made sure to call and go everything with me until I understood completely, which is much appreciated! I already definitely notice a difference, but when something felt off they made sure to check in and really understand what my issue was to fix it.     Wow, 1 word sum up here would be any of these, take your pick. SCAM, GARBAGE, HORRIBLE. Nowhere near 8 weeks, almost a year in, started before COVID so that’s not an excuse. I even purchased the premium ones you're supposed to only wear at night time. After week 2 I was told to wear them as much as possible which is a gimmick to upsale you on. Same horrible product, same horrible service. I actually sent multiple emails over a 6 week span and got no answers. Then I get an email saying management will reach out in 2-3 business days. Another month gone no answer.

    Trust me there are other companies out there. This place isn’t even the best price either. Maybe get a 3D printer and do it yourself because they don’t know what they are doing. Furthermore there isn’t even real dentists here, their customer service reps, sales reps, and know nothing about dentistry. RUN THE OTHER WAY, I repeat R U N, don’t walk, don’t stop, don’t look, just R U N.

    I started my 12 week Byte at Night experience 10 months ago and have not had much success. I was supposed to change aligners every 7 days and it would take at least 2 - 4 weeks per change out. For the past 5 months I have been in Upper Tray 5 and Lower Tray 8, unable to get the next set of trays to work. I contacted byte and they sent refinement aligners, a new 10 week program; however, I can't get them to fit at all so here I am over $2,000 out of pocket paid upfront and I'm basically restarting the program with aligners not fitting. Also, when my original aligners arrived, I was missing aligners and had to contact them to send those.

    When I contact byte needing actual help it takes days to weeks for a response; however, the marketing team is always quick to reply. I have had friends participate in other at home aligner programs with better success. I choose byte for their byte for life guarantee program but am disappointed with my progress and expenses thus far. I would hope that they would give preference to the customers that they already have by replying in a timely manner and using some form of quality control....by shipping incomplete sets to customers and then having the customer send pictures of what they have received is not quality. Good luck future aligner wearers.

    I chose this company based on the great reviews but mine and my sister’s experience was the complete opposite. They are nice until you sign up and then they disappear. I received the first few months of aligners for my treatment plan and then never heard back! I reached out when I was out of aligners and expressed my concerns with the lack of movement on my front lower teeth. They told me to send in pictures which I did MULTIPLE times only to get redirected to a new person each and every time I asked for an update. I would even get responses saying that my account didn’t exist!

    I was finally able to get a human response only to be told that I needed to START OVER with my OLD aligners. I have yet to hear anything else! My sister started treatment at the same time as I did and had the same exact experience. Basically if you’re going to use this company, prepare for a huge lack of communication and hope that your treatment plan goes flawlessly because you won’t get any feedback if you reach out to the company.

    Do not, under any circumstances buy from this company. I would rate them as a zero if I could. They have the worst customer service. It takes 2 weeks for them to reply with an answer to any question. I paid in full in advance for a 26 week treatment in advance. I have only received 15 weeks of aligners. I have been fighting with their support for 6 weeks to provide the rest of the aligners I paid for in advance. This is the only company I have ever had to report to the BBB.

    Their sales/marketing team will hound you constantly. However, once you commit and pay you will rarely hear from anyone again, and will wait weeks for a response from customer service, if you ever get a response. I was originally given a treatment plan of 22 weeks total...12 weeks in when I finally got a hold of them and sent updated photos of my teeth I was told I needed to start over. I am in week 11 of my second plan and was just told this again (after sending photos and waiting weeks for a response). I have followed their directions to the letter since I started the plan in October. It is now May and my teeth do not look much different than when I started. This has been a terrible experience, and I would not recommend Byte to anyone. Please do your research...normally I would say you get what you pay for, but in this case I did not even get that. Very expensive mistake.

    Byte experience for the day treatment is hard. I wish I bought the night time process. The byte vibrator makes you dizzy at times and that to me is the most difficult to use. Otherwise, it's cheaper than braces.

    I have been using Byte for more than 3 months. I did not get the results that was shown on my treatment plan. I contacted them and they take 7+ days to evaluate what is going on. Then when I respond, it takes another 7+ days to get a response from them. There are no REFUNDS so buyer beware! They say they will try to fix the slingers but it’s taking them so long to communicate. I still have not had my issue resolved. I started this in January and it’s now May.

    Bad Product: Before treatment, my front two teeth were straight. After treatment, they were crooked. They did not send a complete set of lower aligners. The last lower aligners broke after a month and cut my gums to bleeding. Bad Support, Money Machine: After about 2 months, they sent out another set of 15 aligners to straighten my front teeth. Only 5 lower aligners. They wanted another $100 to send me out another lower aligner for when the last one they sent makes my gums bleed. Money Machine: I asked about their retainers. They recommended getting new retainers every 6 months for $100 each set. When you sign up, they do not tell you that you must send them $200 annually for the rest of your life to keep your teeth straight. This is the third time that I have had my teeth straightened, so I know retainers are mandatory.

    Currently I am on week 12 of my Byte aligners. And I have to say I am enjoying my time with them so far to the point where it feels foreign without the aligners hugging my teeth. My top tooth was my biggest concern of getting my teeth fixed. It was very crooked and it affected my lip.     I have completed treatment and my teeth are not straight. I spoke to Customer Service and was told that the 7-days recommended per aligner mainly applies to teenagers because their bones are still growing but adult teeth typically take longer to straighten. Customers are supposed to wear their aligners until there are no gaps before moving on to the next set of aligners. Because I had been changing aligners every 7 days as advertised all over Byte's website and throwing out all but the previous set of retainers, Byte has waived 'satisfaction guarantee' and asked for $699 to get a new set of retainers.

    Byte is engaged up until you give them your money. If you have issues like I have had with your aligners, they will not respond to you in a timely fashion. They advertise a quick 12 week process but I have found it will take a lot longer. With that added delay, will be significant delays in support from Byte leaving you with a troubling situation where you aren't sure if the money you spent will result in what was promised. Right now, they have my money and I have crooked teeth and $2k worth of plastic sitting in my bathroom. Terrible support. Choose someone else!

    I didn't have braces as a kid, so I'm not sure if it's comparable, but I was totally unprepared for how painful the process would be. I used the Hyperbyte every day and took **, but after about 6 weeks of constant pain (and only being able to eat smoothies/soup), I gave up. I know part of this was user-error (I grabbed the wrong pack and accidentally wore Week 6 retainers instead of Week 5), but that was the point where I gave up.

    The retainers were also really hard to keep clean? I was wearing them 20 hours a day, pretty religiously brushing/flossing after eating, and only drinking water, but over four or five days they would grow this thin, white film over them. I contacted the Byte support team and was told to try a couple of things (vinegar and water, denture cleaning tablets). I tried everything they said, but the retainers were still gross. Last complaint - whenever I emailed, I kept getting passed around to different reps who would send me the same canned verbiage. Can't really blame them (working customer service sucks), but wasn't super helpful.

    Everything has been great so far. Ryan and Joe have helped me every step of the way and I have had great customer service this far. The impression kit was easy to do and the video was very helpful. I really like that I was able to track the progress of where in the process I was on the website. I also like the 3D interactive progression tool of what my teeth will look like start to finish.

    I’m overall happy with the sales process of Byte. The impression kit came quickly, provides adequate instructions, and was easy to do by myself. The sales advisor answered most of my questions and allowed me to ask as many as I’d like, which I appreciated since I’ve never worked with a tele-dentistry company before. I do wish the support email team was more responsive. I sent two emails separately with follow-ups and never got responses. I hope that in the future, someone could get back to me sooner. I have not completed my treatment yet, and I am hoping to complete it with minimal hiccups.

    The whole process was very easy to do. The only thing that I didn’t like was that my dental insurance, Delta Dental, didn’t cover any of the cost so it’s all out of pocket. Also, it does take longer to get the process started due to having to wait to get items mailed to you, then mail them back, and then have to wait 4-6 weeks for the aligners to be created. It’s not like going to the orthodontist and just getting your braces that day. However, it will pay off in the end based off how quickly you’re supposed to get results. I also love the customer service of Byte. I’m excited to get my aligners and start my Byte journey.

    I began my Byte journey in Oct 2020 with 14 aligners top, 16 bottom. I kept each set in at least 2 weeks as I didn’t want to rush the process. Unfortunately, around the 8th aligner I noticed a crack and also that there were halos in some areas that were just not filling in. I contacted customer service and they promptly replied and requested current photos. After these were sent and I filled out a clinician review, they decided it would be best to do refinements. I stayed in my most current set throughout this process for about 8 weeks. I received my new aligners yesterday and plan on restarting tonight. So far, I’m satisfied with the customer service I’ve received as they are attentive and courteous. I’m hoping my teeth start tracking again and that I can finish the process out without any more issues as I’m looking forward to finally having straight teeth!
