Alterme has honestly been a game changer for me. When I first started wearing it, I thought I was just getting a fitness ring to help me keep track of my activity and goals. I didn't realize how much it would actually teach me about myself. I love that it tracks things like my stress, sleep, activity, and overall wellness. Being able to see my stress levels and recognize what triggers me has been eye-opening. Sometimes I don't even realize how much something is affecting me until I see it reflected in my data. It has also helped me set realistic fitness goals and stay accountable to myself. I'm not trying to be perfect—I just want to keep improving and feel better, and Alterme gives me a little extra motivation to keep going.

This program has been highly effective for me. Since the end of May 2026, I have successfully lost 20 pounds. The app simplifies tracking my food intake; I typically take photos of my meals, which is very convenient, and I receive positive feedback regarding my food choices. Occasionally, I choose to indulge in less healthy options, such as a brownie, but not because I believe it's inherently bad...rather, because it may not contribute to how I want to feel afterward. When I genuinely desire a treat, I feel comfortable recording it in the app, which encourages moderation and mindful enjoyment.

There are things that I really like. My experience with my initial contact person was a good one. He was responsive and patient with all my questions. The products, bands, ring, and packaging are nice quality and well thought out. I received everything in the promised timeframe. I wear an Apple Watch and have been using Zoe app to help me make better food choices. I find that Align Me and Zoe are pretty well aligned in their analysis of my meals - so no complaint there. The reason I gave 3 stars instead of 5 is the steps, mileage on my walks is WAY off my Apple Watch by miles. And it also does not pick up my sometimes substantial awake time during the night. My Apple Watch is more accurate in those 2 areas. The reason this matters to me is one reason I went with AlterMe is to get the daily recommendations- so if the app thinks I had an hour two more sleep than I did, it’s going to make recommendations for workouts that may not be good.

I purchased the AlterMe System a few years back, opted for the Mirror system due to the value of having a lifetime membership once paid off. The set came with a biometric signal reader, the mirror, weight sets and pad. Also most notably was the app that helped bring it all together. The initial DNA report brought insights into how my body reacted specifically and made me feel in control and educated on how my plan would effect me directly. During workouts the signal (or biometric reader) shows your heart rate and lets you know what is your targeted rate, which helps you adjust your intensity in real time and has shown more effectiveness in fat burning.

For the better part of three decades, I have always listened to what trainers, nutritionists, and doctors have told me regarding my nutrition and exercise. And, for the better part of three decades, I have avoided carbs, eaten my weight in protein, walked more steps than I care to share, and have continually fought the scale. Then, at 47, this company came across my Instagram feed, and I immediately signed up! To finally have a blueprint to my own health - and not just follow what "they" say - was very intriguing to me! And it was a true Godsend! I learned that my body needs more carbs than protein (WHAT?!?!) and that strength training has a higher impact on my body than cardio exercise.

I would definitely recommend buying the DNA kit and starting with alter me. I like how the DNA results let you know what your body responds best to and gives you a deeper understanding on what your body needs and likes. There are different levels of difficulty for the exercises, which is great and you get to pick the type of music you wanna listen to. I also noticed I had gotten a few emails asking my opinion on how they can improve and to my surprise those improvements were made so that was really awesome! Seems like they’re a company that wants to improve, grow, and listen to their customers. If you’ve been thinking about joining I’m here to tell you it’s worth it.

Lost my kit….. Super bummed. Good news though a new kit is on the way free of charge. I’m super happy they chose to take care of me even after completely having no idea where I placed my kit.

Alter me has changed my life for the better! I was at my highest weight and feeling discouraged because I am a wife, mother and an over- worked professional. I also over think and I have a horrible habit of not listening to my body! I needed something that could fit into my crazy schedule and something that would challenge me but not make me hate the idea of working out! Alterme checked all the boxes. 20 to 30 minutes to start! Movements I could do in my living room before waking my kids and before work. Workouts that left me motivated and not defeated. The ring let's me know if my body needs a workout or a light stretch or a meditation. I didn't know that over working my body could cause more harm than good. This has also helped my mental health! I highly recommend.

I had a great experience with Alter Me. It was easy to navigate, and the wide variety of sessions kept things interesting. The clear guidance helped me stay consistent and make healthier choices without feeling overwhelmed.

I feel like the AlterMe program is a better informed exercise plan than most of the other trackers. In my experience the device and workouts track with me. I like that the suggestion for workouts change based on everything else in my life and how exhausted I am from things like work or coaching. I did not feel the meal recommendations and recipes were good. They felt like they hit the micros and macros but forgot someone actually was going to have to eat it.

AlterMe has completely transformed how I approach my health and weight management during menopause. Navigating this stage of life has been challenging, but having daily, personalized guidance takes the guesswork out of my wellness goals. The app is incredibly user-friendly and packed with valuable insights. Understanding my DNA has made all the difference—it gives me clarity around my body's needs for rest, nutrition, and exercise, saving me so much frustration. Top it off with exceptional customer service, and I couldn't be happier that I signed up!

AlterMe has completely changed my fitness journey. First, I must say the customer Service is phenomenal. I never have a hard time trying to get in touch with them. They’re always very helpful. I love the way that they take your DNA and tell you how your body's metabolism breaks down food and uses it for energy. They go into your body type and where your weaknesses are so you can really focus on your total health. AlterMe is just an all-around unique company. I would definitely recommend AlterMe to anyone to try.

My AlterMe ring and application have been amazing in my health and weight loss journey. I was struggling with what my body needed each day, and this app- along with the DNA test- have helped me figure out the best food and activities for me on any individual day. I have lost 16 pounds in just a couple short months and am excited to see where this app takes me next.

AlterMe has been a game changer for me. I love the ability to track my nutrients, even just by taking a picture. AlterMe also connects with my other health apps so all the information can be evaluated based on the personalized information. The ring device itself provides excellent insights to prepare for the day so there is less guess work and more clarity on how I will spend my energy on any given day. It is necessary to log workouts if I'm doing something specific, that's something I forget to do the most but because of the connection with other health apps there is still an estimated workout period. I do notice the app doesn't always seem to "check off" the daily suggestions even when logging any session, especially if it is something entered after the activity. As it grows, I can only imagine how AlterMe will improve. The science-backed technology provides incredible health insights and helps me learn more about my health needs.

Once this review was posted, Zach, the head of Member Success at Alterme, reached out. Zach was professional and reasonable. If someone had just called me back or answered the phone when I called, this could have been resolved long before I felt frustrated enough to post a negative review.

After speaking with Zach, I do think a series of unfortunate events made my experience very bad. Sadly, I never did get to try the full program because it took the ring so long to arrive that I only had it for a few days. The program itself seems like a great idea, and I think if you go into understanding the cost and payment system upfront, your experience will be different than mine. Zach and I came to a solution that was satisfactory.

I started AlterMe because I was in a rut. I always felt like other workout programs didn’t understand me as an individual. I did the AlterMe DNA test, received my results and got to working out. I love that there are a variety of workouts and it tells me when to take it easy versus pushing myself when I’ve had poor sleep, for example. I only wish there was a spot where I could put in if I was sick or not feeling good and it would be nice to have it track other health things as a woman. Other than that, it’s been great! The different workouts. Even meditation and breathing. The levels. The music! It’s helped me to stick to it as well and I honestly think it was well worth it.

Worst ring ever! It sounded great at the beginning. Get DNA results, but can’t actually get them until you schedule an appointment with a counselor who is going to try to upsell you the ring…which is 4 times as much as some other name brand rings. I get the ring, it stops charging after about 6 months. Customer service was great at the time and sent me a replacement ring, but already suspicious that something costing me $1600 is not working after 6 Months. The 2nd ring stopped charging after about 3 months. Mind you, this ring is not paid off yet and I’ve now gone through two rings stopping.

I had been working out and eating "right" for years. Not only was it not working, but I was gaining weight at an alarming rate. My Dr had no answers. Finally I tried Alterme and found out that I was doing was the exact opposite of what I need to do to lose weight. I'm now moving the scale in the right direction for the first time in years. The staff has been a huge help, polite and professional. I highly recommend 10/10.

I am very disappointed with AlterMe! I sent them the $ and when I could not chat with them on the phone they dropped responding to me. I asked them to please send me my results for which they have refused to even address. What kind of customer service is that? I paid and I expect them to send me what they found out. I don't want a sales pitch or a plan if I can't even just get the results. I'd say it's a scam but since they do not answer me I have no idea what they do. I've contacted them 7 times to send me the results. They do take your money. I could not find a receipt but I download their response.

My experience with AlterMe so far has been great! The ring does a great job tracking my sleep and exercise, and I like being able to see all my information in one place. I think it's really cool that the system is built around my DNA, so the insights feel more personalized than what you get from a typical fitness tracker. Everyone that I have interacted with at AlterMe has been friendly and helpful which I appreciate.

My experience with AlterMe has been great since the beginning with the DNA testing. The AlterMe team has been so helpful and fast to answer my questions. And the mirror is such an amazing equipment. I love having my workouts at home. My favorite part of the mirror is the body scan feature, which has let me see clearly the progress I’ve made. I recommend AlterMe 110% to everyone that wants to take care of their health.

Very similar to Fitbit. Much more expensive though. Positive is the DNA test and customer service. Down side is the cost and that much of the app is very similar to fitbit.

Fay, the representative, was awesome. She resolved my problem very quickly and professionally. The AI Agent was not helpful at all.

I’m really happy with my AlterMe Smart Ring! It’s comfortable, lightweight, and stylish enough to wear all day. I love being able to track my activity, sleep, and other wellness data without having to wear a bulky smartwatch. The app is easy to use, and the information is presented in a clear and helpful way. Battery life has also been great so far. Overall, the AlterMe Smart Ring is a convenient and discreet way to keep up with my daily health and fitness goals. Definitely recommend!

I was one of the earlier doctors of the ring when it first came out and it made a huge difference. I didn’t mind the wristband. I hated having to worry about it every day. Loved how gathering looked and worked with the app. I’ve had the wall mirror for a couple years now and have loved using it along with all the information I got with the DNA testing. I’ve really been able to hone in my health and fitness. Highly recommend.

I love how my AlterMe program has helped me stay consistent with my health and wellness habits on a daily and weekly basis. I had been looking for an app where I could have everything in one place instead of using a bunch of different apps, and AlterMe has been the answer! I can complete my workouts, do recovery sessions (breathwork is my fave!), log my meals, generate recipes to help me meal plan each week, and check my sleep stats to see where I can improve. I love finally having everything together in one place! One of the biggest things it has helped me realize is how little protein I was actually eating. I’m now much more aware of my protein intake and am finally starting to hit my protein goals consistently!

I am new and disappointed in a few things. I signed up so I would have the DNA plus and the lifetime access but did so prematurely due to sales pressure. I should have done further research before committing. I am currently on my 3rd day wearing ring. I also wear a Fitbit Sense 2 so it is going to have to be amazing to beat it. I would have preferred for the info from it to be able to be used with the program. Hopefully things will get better, but if not soon I will be canceling and just paying for the dna plus, which is one of the downsides as their pricing on it with the program is much higher than without ($799).

SCAM! They market it as a way to get a wealth of information on your body and how it operates. But that requires more testing and more money and solicitation regarding a tracking ring. ‘Consultant’ seemed super young and was ready to sell sell sell.

I’ve struggled off and on with my weight for years. I found AlterMe while scrolling on Facebook. It’s not a cheap program but once it’s paid for the AI mirror and equipment is yours. I love being able to workout from home, understand how my body reacts to certain situations, have guided exercise, and getting reminders to keep moving. I’ve lost 14 pounds since I actually dedicated myself to using it every day. Worth it.

I've really been enjoying the AlterMe app. I especially like that I can track my food just by taking a photo, which makes keeping track of what I eat so much easier. It also gives me meal recommendations based on how my body responds to different foods, which makes the suggestions feel much more personalized. Another feature I love is being able to enter ingredients I already have at home and have the app create meal ideas from them. It saves me from having to figure out what to make with whatever happens to be in my kitchen. The app also has a lot of different workouts to choose from, and the ring tracks things like my sleep and workouts, which gives me a better overall picture of my activity and recovery. Overall, I like that AlterMe combines nutrition, workouts, sleep, and tracking into one app without making everything feel overly complicated.

First off - don't do more than the 40 deal. The 400 one provides you more - but nothing worth the extra money. I still don't know if there really is a food group setting me back? Nobody should eat high fats, I can tell you that for free. My consultation was scheduled twice, never got a phone call. And now they don't follow up because I am sure the system shows I had the consult. Absolutely feels like I got scammed.

I like the macros tracking but the calories based off pictures are not accurate and even typing in the ingredients are not accurate. Also, I am on my third ring. They don't hold a charge after a while. It seems that each time it is a faster decline. The first one was 3 months, the second was 2 months and this is now 7 weeks.

This program is amazing. It uses my body and the way it operates well to help me be healthier. Which in turn leads to further happiness. I love not having to decide what workouts to do each day and what intensity level. The nutritional help and information is invaluable. It was fantastic to get my DNA profile and what health issues I should be looking out for. This program is a lifesaver!

Absolutely love the AlterMe experience! They were super helpful throughout the process, I constantly had people checking in if I needed help or had any questions and it felt like such a a welcoming experience. I did end up purchasing another product they have and love it too. I've lost tons of weight and feels like a complete system actually made for me.

I love the quality of the ring, it's easy to wear and goes with everything and is less clunky than the Oura ring! So far it has been really helpful (and accurate to my Garmin watch) for step counts and stress/sleep etc! I'm excited to see what more time of working towards my health goals with AlterMe do!

I bought the AlterMe Ring earlier this year to better understand my body beyond just calories—especially my protein, fats, and carbs. I love the sleep tracking, personalized recommendations, breathing/meditation exercises, and heart-rate monitoring. The full health report is also really helpful when I’m not feeling my best. The design is comfortable, the interface is super user-friendly, and I LOVE that there’s no monthly subscription! Another thing I really appreciate is that after losing weight and needing a smaller ring size, AlterMe exchanged it for a smaller size at no extra cost—such a great customer experience! My only complaint is that the sensor light is VERY bright at night and sometimes wakes my husband up 😂. I also wish it could connect with a glucose sensor and menstrual cycle tracking app—then it would be perfect!

I have been an AlterMe member since January 2025, the product has helped me hone in on the fundamentals of my wellness, I'm better about being mindful about what I eat, exercising 3-4 times a week, and it helps me prioritize my recovery when my training fatigue slows me down. I think it's useful for anyone wanting to make a change in a healthy and sustainable way, it's not a quick fix. If you buy in and are mindful and consistent, it really works!

Do not waste your time or money. The DNA test provided very basic information—most of which I was already aware of. I also had to request that my results be sent to me, as I was told they generally aren’t released until “the call.” When the scheduled call finally happened, it was nearly 20 minutes late. Unfortunately, the consultation felt less like a meaningful review of my DNA results and more like a sales pitch for additional services. I paid $50 and, based on my experience, did not feel I received anything of meaningful value in return. I am sure it is too late to dispute as product not as described. Hopefully no one else gets scammed after reading. Save your time and your money. I would not recommend AlterMe.

I have only been using the ring and app for a little while and it makes me aware of my decisions to make throughout the day. I love the breath work exercises right before bedtime. It helps me to relax. I check my app several times throughout the day.

While the Alter system isn’t cheap I really appreciate how simple it makes having a fitness routine that’s personal to me. This system gives me a way to be healthier and it gives me clear easy to follow workouts and workins along with nutrition guidance. If you’re looking for a personalized routine that’s easy to follow Alter is a great option.
