Wrote this review on the Alter Me Subreddit but was deleted since the page is started by the alter me owners. I purchased the alterme dna report kit through an ad so it was only about $35 instead of the full price. Regardless everything I learned feels useless. You can't see your results without speaking to someone. You'd think they will be explaining your results but it's more of a sales pitch. During my phone call I had to ask questions of what certain things meant because he'd just skip past them and ask me questions that were leaning towards the full program. The results didn't feel personalized, everything I saw and the recommendations I received were very generic and generalized. Don't waste your money

Super excited about this service. I feel like I have a coach already because a real person and not ai is working with me. I used to be really big into working out and the gym but it’s fallen off in the last few years. The only fun thing was bike riding but in Ohio it’s kinda hard in the winter. Also someone stole my bike. 😢 Looking forward to a new chapter for better health.

I absolutely love this process, and it was super simplistic, but the results were completely eye-opening to me as a runner who thought I did not need to focus on strength training as much. It really has changed how I think about my training split and what I am prioritizing. Also seeing all of the results have been so helpful day today for me.

I’ve been using the Alter Ring along with the AlterMe app, and overall my experience has been very positive. The ring is comfortable to wear, lightweight, and easy to forget about during the day. I like that it tracks a variety of health metrics without being bulky or distracting. The AlterMe app is very user-friendly and gives clear explanations of each health score. I’ve found the recommendations helpful, especially the personalized goals and tips. It has helped me understand my sleep, stress levels, and activity patterns in a more meaningful way.

Alter Me is perfect for someone like me that wants to have a live like trainer with them but can’t afford a in person trainer. The best part for me has been the mirror. The people at Alter Me have also been truly amazing. Alter Me has helped me go in the right direction with not only my weight loss, but also my everyday health journey.

I really like the app and how easy it is to use and include your data. I keep track of my sleep which has been the most complicated situation for me for the past 3 years, and now I can actually see the data the day after, and then I can know what works for me what did I do differently and make changes. I was also tracking nutrients by hand before, now I just take a picture or write something in any language and it will take it and count it. Plus, I always do the meditation, stretching and different workouts from the app a few times a week. Those are my 3 fundamentals I always check: Sleep, Nutrients, Physical Activity. I really love this app and I always show off my ring and recommend it to my friends hehe.

I have the ring - started last Saturday and was down 2 lbs in 4 days. I'm coming from the Optavia program, which I lost 100 lbs on in a year, but the restrictive approach just wasn't something I could sustain and after 2yrs keeping it off, I slipped back - gained 40 lbs. So far, I really like AlterMe's whole body approach, the workout variety and the breath work have been extremely beneficial to me, as has the instant analysis of my meal selections. I'm Much more mindful of my food choices, and feel I am developing more self control, without feeling deprived or like particular foods are wholly off limits. I'm hopeful that this is The thing to helping me stay a healthy and happy weight.

Busy life but needed to track my health and exercise better. AlterMe is key and keeps me focused and accountable, bar none exceptional program! I do strength training five days a week, love pushing weights but has no change. I also walk over 3 miles a day but still stick with no weight loss or gains. I learned to use the app to assist and track better. Great options.

I love my Alter mirror and the app. I struggled with using workout apps on my phone. I love waking up in the morning and met with the gentle lighting around the outside of the mirror. I don't like turning on the lights, so this soothes me. I also love that there is not a lot of chatting like the usual three person session. You watch a trainer explain and it's on a timer, so a 10 min or 20 min workout is truly that. I love that if you do the workouts requested for the week it waives the app fee; so I just pay the monthly payment for the mirror and it's totally worth it. No more trying to watch my little phone. If I'm lying down stretching I can watch the mirror and not move to see the change.

AlterMe has been a truly wonderful experience for me when it comes to health and wellness companies. The communication, warmth, and kindness from the employees and staff have been truly amazing. The products and app themselves are a game-changer in helping me stay accountable and improve my overall health and well-being.

Alter has been a game changer for me. The coaches and exercises are super motivational and easy to follow. The DNA analysis is really eye opening & helpful to set up a personalized program for my specific needs. Great program. Highly recommend!

I love my alter system! The DNA was very insightful and gave me a good foundation to start the program. I started in February with the wristband I used it to sleep and track my workouts. Recently I purchased the ring. I wear the ring all day everyday. It is very accurate as I have a Garmin that does the same thing and they are in perfect sync. The workouts are tailored to you. When you wear your ring to sleep wake up log in the app and based on your sleep gives your workout that day. Also, with the mirror they have playlist to workout to that is preloaded with different genre’s. Awesome Songs! The workouts get casted from the phone to the screen. It’s honestly pretty cool. For the eating portion no longer do you need to log each thing you eat because you take a picture and it’s done for you!!! I would give the system 10 stars if I could. Thank you Alter!

I didn’t know how burned out I was. The recovery tools in AlterMe showed me. My body feels stronger and I’m finally making progress. Highly recommend. It’s like I hit reset on my entire system. I have more energy, better sleep, and a calm focus I didn’t realize I was missing.

Okay this program feels like I hired a team of scientists just for me. The genetic stuff makes me feel like this isn't a guessing game anymore. The way the workouts and meals change around my cycle? GENIUS. I’m down 10 lbs and not even thinking about dieting anymore.

Hi everyone. I got my AlterMe pro 3 days ago and honestly it is fascinating how it works. The ring is gorgeous I got mine in gold, very comfortable. Keep in mind the tester size is bulky and is less comfortable. Choose the size that seats snug but not super tight, the real deal is way more comfortable, you don’t want it to fall while you are running around or washing dishes. My favorite part of the morning now is to check how i slept, now it makes sense why i have been waking up tired, barely get deep sleep and the meditation before bed helps. The mirror is my favorite thing honestly, without it I would probably be less enthusiastic to work out. It’s less of a chore and more of a fun activity to me. I have been working out for a long time barely seeing results and honestly I am very excited to try something that is designed specifically for me

I've been on the program for 3.5 weeks and I've lost 9.3 lbs. I'm sleeping better, have more energy and it's so easy to follow. I've been on many weight loss/lifestyle change journeys and this is by far the best one.

I love the information that it gives me with regards to my sleep quality. I like the stretching workouts and many of the cardio routines. I lift in a gym so I don’t use any of the strength workouts. I also liked getting the metabolic markers that I received to show how my body metabolizes the different macros.

I took this DNA test expecting to receive my results by email. Instead, I received an email inviting me to a phone consult to discuss my results. I replied that I just want my results and am not interested in a phone consult, but have not heard back. Apparently there are extra fees involved that are not clear when you purchase this test.

I’ve tried so many LA trends—this one sticks. The Nutrition Coach lets me eat out in Silver Lake and still hit my DNA-based macros. It’s realistic, flexible, and totally guilt-free. I finally understand what fuels me best, and I’m seeing real results without restriction. AlterMe makes wellness feel effortless, even in a city obsessed with the next big thing.

I live in rural Denver and I HAD to leave a review! I canceled my gym membership months ago and I’m not looking back. AlterMe makes it so easy to train at home or outside, and the Ring tracks everything for me! I’m saving money AND getting results!

Found NO value in the app or the DNA ring. Trying to get through the cancellation process and finding it to be a nightmare. Still being charged $167 a month for something I am NOT using, with no help from their customer service.

I recently signed up, and was delayed in starting their program. In the interim, I have needed surgery for a health situation, and now I also need some therapy for a serious back condition. These items combined are making it impossible for me to exercise for at least 6 months. I pursued financing with them, and now I am being given the runaround to cancel all of this - they say it is because of the financing arrangement. The finance people seem to be very reasonable, but Alter is completely hands-off. I am waiting for the final decision with the finance people. Be careful...

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY ARE FRAUDULENT! THEY TAKE MONEY UNAUTHORIZED. SHADY SHADY SHADY!!!! They have mediocre customer service. Your monthly payments are although a 3rd party company that REFUSES to stop taking money out of your account regardless if you've canceled your account and gotten refund notification. I'm fighting to keep my bank account that I've had for over 15 years because of this company. They somehow are still able to take money from my account which even the BRANCH MANAGER can't understand how they're doing this. If they're confusing the BRANCH MANAGER you know they're shady! STAY AWAY FROM ALTERME!
