My husband and I own a 12 room Lodge and several cottages off property. Three years ago we spent $12,700 on Serta mattresses and box springs for our Lodge rooms. WE HAVE HAD TO REPLACE EACH AND EVERY ONE. Absolutely horrid beds. We get complaints from guests constantly and, as we can afford it, we are replacing each and every one. I am sooooo disappointed in this product. We bought it from a Serta business in Honolulu where the beds are made locally. No returns... even though I started complaining one year after the first unhappy guest. The mattress sags in the middle and on the sides. They are awful awful awful! How can I get my money back?

The mattresses that we bought 3 years ago are sagging all over and is a torture device. They advertise that "if you are not happy with the product they will happily replace it within 10 years or give you full credit so you can upgrade." They still advertise like that on QVC, but it's not true, none of it. I am out over a thousand dollars, and if it's not in writing, the Consumer Affairs Dept. can't do anything. I did bring it up to their attention as they totally lying on tv. Don't believe anything they say and stay away from Serta.

Setra iseries king size bed - We purchased our bed on the Big Island and was told it was "the top of the line" about 2 years ago. Was assured it would be good for my husband’s back being that he had back surgery 3 months before purchase and paid 3,000 cash plus delivery. Now the mattress is "sinking" in, otherwise sink holes on the side where I sleep and on my husband’s side. We are not overweight and small in built. It's causing terrible back and neck pain for my husband and I am unable to get a good night’s sleep! We both wake up in terrible moods, especially me. One of the worst investments ever! Do not buy this bed. Wish I had looked at the reviews before purchase and would have bought a Tempur-Pedic instead of this!!!

In December 2012, I purchased a Serta IComfort Mattress which is guaranteed for 15 years. By January 2014, it already was sagging 1 inch. It shows through my Comforter, looks like the bed has waves. I purchased this mattress because my back was hurting. Well now, my back hurts again. I am attaching a copy of their warranty. Serta calls the sagging "Comfort impressions." It should not happen so soon. I will never buy a Serta mattress again and I will never recommend this company.

This is perhaps one of my worst purchases ever. The mattress and hills and valleys, I sleep on a slant. For a product I paid over $3000 for its garbage! We complained after a couple of weeks and was told the bed was fine. Recently I went to buy another mattress for my child and told the salesman about my problem and he made a warranty claim for me. The inspector came and and said the bed has so many issues it should be replaced. The Serta rep did not agree - I will never buy another of their beds. I am going to every social media space to let everyone know how I feel. I will be sending letter to the top management at Serta.

I have the Serta iSeries expression mattress that is less than 30 days old and it already has a huge dip in the middle. It was delivered on July 17th and after the first night I knew I had made a mistake because it was too firm and I love a firm mattress! Less than a week later I went back to the business I purchased it from and complained about the firmness only to be told to give it a minimum of 30 days and that it will soften. They also told me to walk on the bed to help break it down which I did not do, whoever heard of such a thing?

Anyway, after a couple of weeks I was really beginning to like this mattress. It was not rock hard firm as it was the first week and was very comfortable until just a couple of nights ago when I noticed I was having to struggle staying on the edge of the bed, my body was constantly trying to fall into this dip! I am horrified. This mattress set cost me $1600! If it like this in less than 30 day whatever will it be like in one year, 5 years, 8 years! This is too much money to throw away. I am very concerned. Of course, the business has a 30-90 day period, I can make another choice. I am afraid to choose another Serta. I may have to look for another brand. Anybody have some advice or can suggest another brand I should try?

First they said, "oh we will send someone over," but we then got a call saying the owner said they have nothing to do with the mattress, that it is up to Serta to look at the mattress and we needed to take pictures and write what is wrong with the mattress. I purchased this mattress because it advertised great support to the spine. I suffer with back problems and thought this would provide the support I needed, as advertised. We purchased the best serta pillow top mattress at Menard's. It ended up being close to $2000. After about a year, if not less, it had a dip on each side. And it was next to impossible to balance on the rouge in the center of the bed. After 2 years, the bed was impossible to sleep in. We knew we had a10 year warranty, so I went back to Menard's to discuss a replacement. They didn't give me a problem, they said they would exchange it. I asked if this was a common thing with these mattresses and was told yes. But, the mattress I was getting was the new and improved version which there wasn't a lot of feedback on it yet.

It was a gigantic pain in the butt because we had to get the labels off the mattress and figure out ourselves how to dispose of it because they wouldn't take it back. They also said that they weren't going to give me a new set of box springs. Which I told them was unacceptable because if the bed was defective, how do I know there was nothing wrong with the box springs. They finally agreed to give me the box springs too. We had to rent one of their trucks because we don't have one, so we could bring it home. So now it's been a year and the same thing is happening. I really wish I knew how to file a class action lawsuit because there is obviously a problem with these mattresses

I paid $3200 for this mattress and I still had to pay another $35 (nonrefundable) just for Serta to come look at it. I was informed by Serta that yes the mattress was defective but since there was a small water stain on the mattress they are not going to replace it and they are going to void my warranty. Upon further searching, this is not the first time( by far) they have done this. It seems they are good at finding reasons to void your warrant. Their customer service through this whole process was a joke, they did not make anything easy at all. Stay away from this company they care about nothing but getting you money from you, and they don't stand behind their product.

I wrote this review on Serta's website, they send me an email back that they could not post it. I'm so shocked about that. That was the second mattress that did that in less than two years. I got the first one replaced through my local rep without Serta corp. knowing because he even said they would not honor the warranty.

My husband is an OTR truck driver and spends three weeks a month on the road and one week a month at home, and for that one week, he would actually prefer to sleep out in his truck because the bed is more comfortable! I wake with back, hip and knee pain every morning, which I never had before. I feel like there is not enough support on the mattress, too much "give". We tried the mattress out in the store and it felt comfortable, supportive. I only wish we would have read these reviews BEFORE we shelled out $2,000.00 for this set.

We purchased a Serta mattress in 2012. We are very disappointed at this product since the mattress is sinking. We called Serta and they asked us to send a check for $35.00 for inspection which we did. During inspection the inspector agreed that this mattress are problems and told us never buy pillow top because they all feel good in the store but after a short period they start sinking. After few days of inspection, I received a letter stating they declined to replace the mattress and blamed the frame which has nothing to do with bed sinking. I told them this bed frame is made of wood by Bearhardt. They still blamed the manufacturer of bed and asked me to add more support bars and then send a picture so we can re-evaluate, (How do you modify a bed frame I never heard of it). Based on reviews that I found online, lots of consumers are complaining about this mattress company who does not care, basically them told me good luck. I even asked for a second opinion (send another inspector, answer was negative).

Serta, iComfort Genius King Mattress/Box Springs with 25 year manufacturers Warranty. We have been disappointed in this product. We purchased the set in early October of 2011. By early April of 2013 it had to be replaced. Now in late May of 2013 we're waiting for it to get bad enough that the company will replace it again. They have a requirement of inches for the sag. We're almost there.

The mattress sags where each of lay. I weigh 130ish and my husband 225ish. We're not so heavy that weight should be a problem causing the sag. With the 25 year warranty, the sales rep told us at our ages (retired a few years already) we would probably never have to shop for a new mattress set again. And we thought the same. When we had to have the first set replaced we assumed it was a fluke, a rare situation. Now, not so much. We have owned other Serta mattress sets in the past and never had a problem. After 20 years or so, they got tired, we understood that. The traditional mattress sets cost a lot less too. If you are considering the purchase of a Serta, iComfort set, keep looking. Maybe they've made improvements, then again, maybe not. Buyer beware.

After 6 months the same thing occurred. We constantly turn the mattress 90 degrees at a time. It's a king so it is just a bit short at times, but we figured it would help. No such luck. When we contacted Serta they said contact the place we purchased it. That didn't do any good either. Listen to all of these reviews and purchase a different kind of mattress. I bought a Serta mattress several years back and have had trouble with it as far as an internal dip in the mattress on one side. You can't move out of the dip without laying almost on your side. We contacted Serta and they had a person come by and take measurements on the mattress that was only on the top area of the mattress, not the internal area. Anyone that lays down the mattress can feel how this mattress has collapsed internally. The person that came by only laid a metal ruler across the mattress and took pictures. I can go out in the backyard, dig a hole, lay foam over it and lay a metal ruler on it and it will look flat but lay down on it and you will fall in the hole. That is what Serta has pulled - a rip off. That is their way of getting around the warranty on the mattress. I paid almost $3,000 for this mattress and Serta will not stand behind their product. Serta says the measurements on the mattress looking at pictures was within limits. They have a bad product and they know it; it's their way of getting around covering the warranty. What a rip off.

Plus I had to sleep in the other room that has a Sealy firm mattress. I can no longer sleep on this mattress because of the depth of the sag under load (6"). The problem is the factory sets the sag limit at 1 1/2 inches under no load. Since this is an unrealistic performance measure the factory will probably deny our claim since we had the same issue with a 1 year old Simmons mattress. Any Legal help would be appreciated.

This review is about the iComfort Series mattress offered by Serta. I believe that all customers should be aware of the poor customer service after the sale and the jump through hoops warranty before they buy anything offered by Serta. Decide on your own, but here are the indisputable facts and this is what happened to me.

I purchased a new iComfort memory foam mattress from Serta through a furniture store for over $2500.00. After 8 months of use, it was unfit to sleep on. The best way to describe the problem was like sleeping in a hole in the ground. It took a good share of effort to roll out of the hole onto a high spot. This was the same on both sides of the bed. Rotating the bed 180 degrees just rotated the problem 180 degrees. The 60-day trial period had already passed, so I was stuck with the faulty mattress. I informed the seller of the problem, they sent a technician out to measure the sagging of the mattress. The technician actually experienced the same problem as I did and called it a resiliency problem, but it met all the requirements of the manufacturer to do absolutely nothing. The resiliency issue measured a quarter inch where the maximum allowable was three quarter inch. In my opinion, it was a firmness problem, not resiliency problem. The seller said they did not have to do a thing because it met the factory requirements.

I then contacted Serta customer we don't care and they would not do anything and did not have to because the seller is responsible for the warranty claims after the sale. They sure passes that back to the seller like a football. Looks like I am now stuck with a $2500 faulty mattress that I can't use and neither the store or the manufacturer will recognize. Never again will I buy anything from this seller and especially from Serta. With $2500 I could have bought several mattresses and thrown one out every other year.

I got my mattress YESTERDAY. I had a Simmons back care and was very satisfied. Mattress was getting old so I bought the iSeries Recognition mattress with a lift. I have never had back, hip, or joint pain. That would be the husband with all of the pain. On the second night on this bed I got up at 5 AM! My ribs, elbows, knees, coccyx, shoulders, back, and neck hurt. Do you think this is the mattress for me? I don't think so. I have never had any pain. So I will call when they open to see what I can do.

They keep saying the other has got to take care of it. Neither me nor my wife can sleep right on this product and have back and leg pain as a result.

Less than two years ago I purchased a Serta iComfort Genius mattress. At the time this was their firmest model. I purchased a Serta because I had a good experience with a perfect sleeper quite a few years ago and trust of the brand name. Well, it is now 22 months later and my iComfort Genius mattress is now a $1500 marshmallow. It no longer has any support and I wake with nearly crippling back pain every morning.

After Sit and Sleep in California send out a technician from Precise Mattress inspection company, I received a letter denying my claim for warranty coverage. The reasons given were: the mattress was within the tolerances of the manufacturing guidelines, also a stain was found. This was a wine stain the size of a tennis ball and I assure you that it was not the cause of the mattress failure. Apparently, there is no definitive test to date that measures the firmness of a foam mattress after it has been used and they simply do not sag or compress like a fabric mattress. However the foam certainly loses its resiliency and firmness, as mine has done.

What can we expect next from Serta mattress; perhaps a dust bunny under the bed will void the warranty? When is this company going to stand behind its products that it charges a great deal of good money for? My girlfriend has a 10-year-old Tempur-pedic mattress that feels wonderful on my back when I sleep. If only Serta mattress could offer the same quality product. Just another example of a corporate giant putting profits over people and ignoring its customers!!!

I contacted Serta via email about my plush top mattress sagging. It had 2 yrs left from 10 warranty, explained it sagged where my husband and I laid. I was advised since they didn't have an inspector in my area I had to tear down the bed and get string and lay it on bed with pins to show the drop, take pictures and email them and if any stains the warranty may be default. Granted we had this mattress 8 out of 10 yrs and my husband does work in a grain elevator for 30 yrs and did sweat the product from his body. Needless to say never got a new mattress. I'm not paid to do their job and will never buy their product or refer again. Thanks Serra for nothing and lots of wasted hardworking money in your product and yes I had the receipts.

I bought a Serta mattress 8 months ago. After 3 months, mattress started sagging in the middle. Also when you look at the mattress it's not level. The frame is excellent. The mattress is not right. After paying $50.00 for inspection and waiting 2 weeks for a reply, I had to call and demand what was going on. Serta is telling me the mattress warranty is denied because of stains??? There has been a mattress pad on since day one and as far as being clean, it's excellent, no stains whatsoever. The truck driver from Mattress One did the inspection? Not a Serta employee. I have been told nothing but lies dealing with Mattress One in New Port Richey, FL on Little Road and nothing but lies from Serta. I believe the two companies are one and the same and are selling seconds. The worst bed I have ever had in my 59 years. I am done with Mattress One and anything that Serta sells. If I don't get a full refund including my inspection fee I am just going to file in small claims court and then they will also be paying court costs along with the cost of the so-called bed.

When I slept on the mattress on a regular basis my doctor prescribed a steroid nasal spray for the health condition it caused. I also have a autoimmune disease problem, IBD. I saw one other complaint from somebody with MS. Fortunately I bought this at a huge discount as a closeout. But it's no deal and I will replace it at my cost. I purchased my Perfect Sleeper Mattress a few years back with hopes that it was a good choice and a small investment. Mattress is the worse thing I have ever invested in, but worse than the mattress itself is the staff that hides behind their walls in the warranty section who will not stand behind their product nor the warranty that paper is written on. Nicholas ** who is the supervisor for Serta Mattress in the warranty department had promised me that he would replace my mattress and pay for the inspection to be made; the only thing he stood behind was the price of the inspection which was 35 dollars and then refused what he had promised me on the phone.

I been dealing with this for almost a year. Now it's time we take other measures. I think Serta Mattress forgets the power of the internet and needs to stand behind their warranty as promised. It's a disgrace and a shame that a giant company such as Serta will not stand behind their promise and warranty... I would not let my pets sleep on another Serta Mattress. Your warranty is a disgrace to the Serta company. It takes people a lifetime to make a name for themselves, and yet it takes a few (**) to ruin a good name.

I hope everyone in the corporate office and supervisors who continuously refuse to help the helplessness wake up with the same discomfort that the less fortunate who spend their hard working money on products that you promote and sell do. How can you measure a sag when it's not laid on, how do you expect to remain strong? Manure runs downhill and I hope Serta corp. is standing at the bottom of the hill. I am not just an unhappy customer. I am a customer who will never purchase another thing that is made by Serta.

Have been waiting since 9-4 since the inspector was here so called Sears after they had failed to contact me, only to be told that the 10 year guarantee was voided after 2 years because of a stain. The stain had nothing to do with the "known defect" that Serta has with gullies in bed after limited use. Both Sears as well as Serta provide 10 year warranties that amount to nothing if the construction is weak to begin with.

This opinion is my personal one. When you buy a mattress at a store, you test the mattress for 5 minutes or less, but when you take it home and sleep on it... a different story completely. The Serta memory mattress, in my opinion, is made for a light person who does not turn much when sleeping. I sleep by myself because I move a lot when I am sleeping. My problem with the memory foam is that when you fall asleep, the memory foam surrounds your body.

When you try to move, first you wake up and movement is difficult, not impossible, but uncomfortable. I called the store where I purchased the bed and mattress and explained my problem, they just said "too bad so sad"... They wanted me to purchase a mattress for 1 1/2 times what I paid for my adjustable bed alone. You invest a lot of money for a good sleep. It's a shame that a return policy is so bad.

We purchased an iComfort Revolution Queen mattress in November of 2011. In July of 2012, we noticed that the mattress was sagging in the middle and we were always rolling to the center. At this point, I had not even paid off the mattress yet. We called Sleep Country and they had us go through a warranty process. We sent pictures of the mattress and followed their directions of measurement. We measured 1/2'' to the necessary 5/8" needed for consideration of inspection. They denied us inspection and said we did not qualify. After much research, I found that since our mattress has several layers of foam and that it is possibly the failure of an inner foam core that would not show up with any kind of measurement.

Meanwhile, I am unable to sleep in the bed from extreme pain on my back. I had surgery on my back in November of 2011 and was doing well until having to sleep on this mattress after its failure. I borrowed a Tempurpedic from my cousin while she was out of town and was finally able to get a good night's sleep again without pain. However, my cousin returned in the middle of December and I had to give the mattress back. Now I am suffering from the mattress and have no alternatives at this point. Please send me any information that might help me with this situation. Thanks.

We purchased an expensive Serta mattress with a 10-year complete warranty. After 5 years, the pillow top is very, very lumpy and the mattress sags. We were pleased when Serta agreed to replace the mattress with a comparable model. However, we are still waiting for the mattress to be delivered. We mailed a check for shipping (which was over $100) over 5 weeks ago and we are still waiting for delivery. Serta is not a good company to deal with and their product is of very poor quality. We will never purchase another Serta product and advise others to do the same. The product breaks down, you will pay high shipping charges, and then wait weeks for delivery. Do yourself a favor and purchase another brand.

Ninety three days ago, we purchased iComfort Mattress. The mattress is now sagging on both sides and there is a middle ridge. The company was notified and they sent out a rep. The rep measured and inspected all items. While checking the box springs, the rep placed the mattress on the new wood floor. Upon placing it back on the bed, there appeared a white film on floor. The rep had just left and didn't return an immediate phone call. The white film came from the mattress. It is very difficult and it won't come off the high gloss wood floor. I’m waiting to see the company resolution to the mattress before mentioning the floor. I am contacting our attorney as I speak. Also, I’m having a wood contractor inspect it to have documentation for litigation if necessary.

My wife and I purchased a Vera Wang mattress for $2,500 in April of 2011. It was less than 6 months before it started sagging pretty badly. We rotated the mattress as we were told to in their instructions and it was still that bad. We contacted The Bedding Company in Omaha, Nebraska to file a claim. When Robert (the owner of the store) came out to inspect the mattress, he said that a stain on the mattress invalidates our warranty. He also yelled and screamed at me every time I talked to him. He had me so worked up that by the time I called Serta to talk to them about it, they were upset about my attitude. I guess they don't like to be yelled at either. The guy from Serta claims that they care if a customer is upset, but still insisted on hiding behind the warranty.

We were never given a copy of the warranty. There was a piece of paper that said that the receipt and the tag on the mattress were our warranty. The only thing that refers us to any sort of warranty is a small code on the corner of the tag that says W9. That's it. There's no label that says warranty code or anything. There's certainly nothing that warned us to seek out a copy of the official warranty. The Serta guy said some stores don't give you a copy because it's available online. Then shouldn't it say that on the receipt?! As far as I'm concerned, they lied and cheated their way to our money. I've seen numerous posts about this bed being bad in about the same amount of time. It seems that they never want to honor their warranties. I read on a message board that they will look for a tiny little drool stain in order to not have to fix it. We'll never buy anything more than a standard mattress and will make sure it has a cover on it immediately. Shame on you Serta and shame on The Bedding Company in Omaha, Nebraska!

One doctor thinks it is the bed. So today we are moving out of our bedroom and locking it. We will sleep in the basement to see if this clears up. I am taking a steroid and Benadryl and they are not going away. We called the store we purchased it from and of course, we are past our 30-day return policy. Not sure what's going to happen from here, but we are going to have to sleep in the basement when we have a brand new $2,000 bed that is making me sick.

I ended up buying the one that I thought would be the best. It was an Epstein firm. We brought it home and within two weeks (no lie), this mattress was starting to sag where we lay. I bought a Serta Mattress bed at Best Mattress here in Las Vegas approximately 7 years ago when I moved here. Admittedly, I lost a lot of weight in the years since moving here. Thus, the mattress sinks in the middle. I tried to call Serta but to no avail, as they have offices all over the world. I contacted Best Mattress, the store where I bought the mattress, while the mattress was still under Serta warranty, as I believe. As I recall, Serta had a mattress inspector come and inspect my mattress.

However, again as I recall, he brought with him a fairly new mattress, which I admittedly assumed was being given to me as a replacement, as there was nothing seemingly wrong with this new mattress. My old mattress got thrown out of my bedroom by this inspector, who started measuring this new mattress and taking photos of this new mattress, My old mattress got put back on my bed, and the inspector left with the new mattress, came back inside my home, and again as I recall, demanded my signing a document for Serta that states that he was here and I was happy with his inspection.

Again as I recall, when I told him I thought his inspection was a scam, his reply was "Be thankful you don't have a Serta mattress with bed bugs, as were put in hotels on the strip, but I really should buy a new Serta mattress." I wound up with lower back pain from the bad mattress. All he wrote in his report was that my box spring makes a little noise.

Now mind you, this began within the first 3 months of purchase. Additionally, I am 26, well and able, mother of 2, and 130 lbs. My husband weighs the same. Now, why is it so awful to sleep in? I have tried many things to remedy the problem such as, I bought a 3-inch thick mattress pad, I bought an egg crate pad. This morning, I even flipped it to try to put the pad on top of the bottom part that is very hard because it is not a double sided mattress. Nothing has helped even remotely. I would be embarrassed to put my name on such an awful product. Here I thought with great stupidity, "Oh Vera Wang, high quality." Yeah right, I sadly report that our family's funds will not have a lot the money to replace it. However, I'm not giving up. It may take some time, but I am determined to remedy the problem mattress! After all, this is where I sleep at night, thus making it the one place I stay stationary for an extended period of time. Thank you.

After getting the runaround from Serta, Overstock started assisting me. We got to the point where I paid $35 for them to inspect the mattress. Well, you guessed it: they said that since the compression was only 1 1/4 inches instead of 1 1/2, they were denying me a replacement. I simply contacted the attorney general's office, and 2 hours after I received an email from Serta repeating that they would not replace the mattress.

I got a phone call saying, "A manager has looked over your claim and we have decided to send you a replacement.” The funny thing is it was only an hour after the attorney general's office sent me an email saying they had contacted Serta and to let them know if I have any issues. Of course, I still have to pay the $114.00 for shipping the mattress, but Overstock is so awesome as they are going to credit me $100 just like they did the $35 for inspection. Overstock rocks! I called Macy's and was told that my warranty is in place and they would send a technician to check it. The technician came today and confirmed the sagging. However, the company (Tri-State, Latrice) refused to honor the warranty because of a small stain. The stain has nothing to do with structure of the mattress; it is in a completely different area. Serta's warranty conditions talk about stains but do not definitely say that they will void the warranty. Any mattress will have some stains after two years. What is 5-year warranty good for then? If I was told about the stain issue when I filed a claim, I would have cleaned it out before the inspection.

I have slept on the mattress by myself for probably the last 2 1/2 years. The mattress currently has a 1" sag as the inspector who came to the house verified. I wake up in the morning with backache and find it uncomfortable to even get to sleep easily at night.

After spending nearly $1,400 for the set, Serta does not stand behind the product. The copy of the warranty they sent me was dated nearly a year after my mattress manufacture date and was for their standard mattresses and not the foam mattress warranty, which is different. If you check the warranties online, you can see that the foam mattress sag dimension is they have to be over 3/4", which my mattress exceeds. I am going to be forced to buy another mattress, but you can be assured it will not be a Serta and I am going to be sure that anyone I speak with who is looking for a new mattress will be aware of my experience.

And when they delivered our set, they took back our old one. So if we do send it back, we have nothing to sleep on! Wow, that’s just great. Less than 6 months later, the replacement Vera Wang mattress began sagging with depressions where my wife and I laid.

After 14 months of e-mails, telephone conversations, taking and sending pictures, they agreed to replace the mattress once again. This time we elected to select a different mattress and were delivered a King Serene. We had to pay for delivery. What a slap in the face after spending over $2500.00 initially. The King Serene is now doing the same thing. I have contacted the retailer and Serta to no avail. The retailer tells me to contact Serta and Serta tells me I must work through the retailer. The retailer is changing business names (I wonder why) and I have been told to my face by the store employees that they don't care that I have a problem.

Our king mattress cannot be flipped over to redistribute sleep patterns; therefore, there are 2 indentations where my husband and I sleep. We turn the mattress, but the impressions remain. There is a hump in the middle. The mattress was purchased in spring of 2007. This became a problem after the first year and we cannot figure out how to fix it. We are going to have to purchase a new mattress, but don't know what to do with this one. Burn it? Seems as if something can be done. Any suggestions?

We purchased an Anderson Plush king sized mattress from a local dealer in Coralville, Iowa a few weeks ago for $1,500. We spent a great deal of time in the store trying to decide what we wanted. The difference between the medium and firm plush model wasn't drastic and so my husband and I decided to go with the firm, thinking that it would help with the common inter spring mattress breakdown.

Little did we know what a huge mistake it would be! The mattress that we received isn't even close to what we laid on in the store. It is so hard that we haven't been able to sleep through the night for the last two weeks since it was delivered. The mattress we received has completely different materials than the in store model.

Serta and the dealer completely misrepresented this mattress and obviously do not care about their customer's satisfaction or the poor reviews they will continue to receive if they don't improve their product. I would have never agreed to the firm if the in store model felt the way this mattress does. The local dealer refuses to work with us and after reading all these reviews, I doubt if Serta will do anything for us either, even though we plan to keep trying. We also plan to share our experience with everyone we know and will never recommend a Serta to anyone!

I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the product that was delivered to me! I suffer from a chronic pain condition and for the last two years was forced to sleep on an air bed. Now that I can finally buy a good mattress I couldn't wait to receive my brand new bed Serta Natural Queen, which I paid for in cash! The bed I received was not as comfortable like the model in your store and it was made with a cheaper material. I brought it up to the delivery guys and they said I had to take it with the store and left. I was upset enough to call immediately only to get an attitude from the sales person who couldn't had been any nicer when he was trying to make the sale ($1,700 cash). He was now accusing me of having "buyer’s remorse.” I haven't slept on a regular bed for two years! Trust me, there was no remorse for the amount I paid. I can afford it now. It was regret for purchasing it from them! I was in tears. He suggested I should have called him sooner. The delivery guys had just left!

I wish I would have read these reviews prior to going to your store. He had someone call me, a regional manager, who gave me even a bigger attitude! I was done. I cried, sobbed and demanded for them to come to get their product out my house and to give me my money back. He suggested that when you buy milk at the store you can't return it after you open. To what I responded, "You can return milk at the store if you have your receipt." What kind of analogy is that? It doesn’t even make any sense. The people who delivered took the plastic off and it had only been in my bedroom for ten minutes. I never even slept on it! These people have no principles! They threatened to keep 15% off the total if I wanted a refund. They wanted me to sleep on it for 60 days first. Ahh! The nerve of these people, I thought.

Once they have your money they act as if they're doing you a favor and that you should be grateful. I hated the way they made me feel. I couldn’t stop crying. I kept calling the store to make sure they were picking it up. They did. The sales person admitted that he called Serta and they confirmed that they were using different materials on the rest of the bed. He offered to sell me the one I had tried at the store which I would have been willing to consider after I got my money back for the first one. Until I went back to the store and got my money back. He was never apologetic and would not even make any eye contact with me after returning the money to my account. He turned his back and would not look back. I had to get his attention to thank him and shake his hand. After reading these reviews, which are over a year old, I see that nothing has changed. I do believe their experience was as real and as horrible as they said it was. When a business has principles and is sure of the quality of their service and product, their last concern is what the competitors have to say about them. The quality of their service and product should speak for itself. I'm still in search of a new bed, scared but hopeful.

By May 2007, it began to show signs of sagging (body Indentations). After notifying the store of this and their inspector visiting us on 5/27/07, they agreed to send a new replacement & assured us this would not happen again, the replacement was delivered 6/1/07.

After notifying "Lynch" (as late as 12/15/11) of the repeat sagging condition occurring with this replacement they agreed to send an inspector to review the problems, he took a measurement of sag depth (& photo). They notified us on 12/28/11 that the depth was not sufficient to meet the criteria of 1 1/2 inches to qualify for replacement.

I questioned this response and they claimed they didn't know the detailed results of what their inspector reported. As a result my Wife & I no longer can sleep in this bed which results in severe back and other body aches. We are Seniors age 79 & 82. I was employed for one year and during this year, I was harassed and forced to misrepresent inspections as defective in favor of some customers, while other customers who had real defects, their warranties were not honored. Manufacturers involved in these scams were all major brands including Serta Mattress.

As employees, we were forced to have quotas and were threatened that if we returned too many as defective, the owners of PMI would threaten to force inspectors to pay for them because it was costing Randy and Dwayne too much money after supposed pressure from manufacturers. In addition to false inspection outcomes, the owners themselves would falsify inspection forms and forms were seen online as completed, detailing one of the owners being in two cities and states at once conducting inspections. The funny thing was, one inspection was approved as a defect by them, the owners, and the other inspection was found to be not defective by the same person/owner.

Among other threats, that we better not make waives or it would cost us our jobs. I found inspection reports of the owners, with inconsistent results and photos and when questioned about them, they make it known I was not welcomed. I felt I had to quit because I did not want to any longer be apart of this fraud that often hurt elderly people by them not getting their mattress warranty honored. I still have dozens of inspection reports and photos on my computer.

We purchased a Serta king memory foam Calm II mattress set, with a 30-year warranty from Star Furn in San Antonio in November 2006. Within a couple of years, it was starting to get indentations and feeling hard in places. Serta in Lockhart Texas plant sent a salesman (not an inspector because they don't have one) to come and see the mattress. He agreed it was defective and said that they would replace it. It took a few months but they finally did. We had moved by then to San Angelo, TX so they said we were in the boonies and hard to get to and they delayed the delivery for some time. When they finally did bring the new mattress set, it was a 10-year warranty, not 30-year warranty, True Response, latex, thin, and nothing like what we had purchased before. The salesman decided what we could have and he sent it.

When the delivery men delivered it, they bent the mattress. I complained and emailed Lockhart. When it got set up, I saw that it was also dirty. I told Lockhart this. They told me to use some cleaning fluid on it (but the warranty said do not do this or it would void the warranty) but my old mattress was not dirty anywhere. She told me if I was not happy in a month or so to call and they would replace this mattress. The mattress looked like it was a used mattress and now I am positive that it was. They came and got it right away.

When they brought another mattress set (again decided by the "used car" salesman), it was a 10-year warranty and not 30-year, Pure Response, latex, hard as a rock, heavy, and really nothing like we wanted. The salesman kept insisting that we wanted a firm mattress. I kept telling him no, and he got mad and yelled at me.

After less than 1 year, this mattress has started to sag badly. It also is hot and makes us sweat. I called and emailed Lockhart. The used car salesman came again. This time he told me what they would replace it with and I told him I wanted to know choices on what they had and an explanation on how they were made and what they were made of this time instead of just taking what he told me to take. He really got mad. He knows nothing about the mattresses and his ignorance makes him mad at me. He then would not answer my calls or return my calls.

I emailed to the plant and got no responses. No one would talk to me when I kept saying I just wanted to know what options and choices I had and I needed someone to explain it to me because I don't know the different types of mattresses and what makes them do whatever. I also wanted a 30-year warranty not a 10-year warranty mattress since that is what I bought. I was told I would not get a 30-year warranty because they don't have them anymore. He kept telling me that the one I have was a 30-year when I can read and everything says that it is a 10-year warranty. I have a copy of my warranty and it states it will be replaced, no freight charges, for the first 10 years at no charge whatsoever. Then it will be prorated for the next 20 years. I am still in the first 10 years.

Now they won't talk to me, they sent me a check that they say is to cover what I paid, less the freight and other charges, and said they cannot satisfy me so I have to go somewhere else. They will not honor the warranty and for me to go to **. You know what I mean.

I have tried to call corporate but a nasty girl told me there is no email or phone number and I can only mail to corporate. She even lied and said she did not know and did not have and could not get the phone number or email for the corporate headquarters. I knew that that was a lie but what can I do? Nothing.

I filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General consumer complaints office. They will do something maybe if there are enough complaints. They may not if I am the only one. I cannot imagine that I am the only one in Texas with a complaint against Serta. Or am I?

I hired Serta's "mattress inspector" to review the unit as the first step in the warranty process. Based on his review, Serta says my mattress is not defective and we do not have a warrantable issue. I contend that the mattress is defective because it was sold as being good for 10 years, and it has gotten lumpy and uncomfortable after two years. The primary consequence of Serta not performing on its warranty is that I have got to buy a new bed. A secondary consequence is that I am learning about CA's Small Claims court system. A tertiary consequence is that I am working with CA's Consumer Affairs and Illinois' Attorney General “to make me whole”.

I purchased the King Haddonfield set in November 2007 and received it on December 18, 2007 from ShopNBC for $1099.00. We noticed the mattress started sinking in the middle. We had already been turning the mattress every three months to keep this from happening. And we started noticing our backs were hurting when we woke up in the morning.

I called Serta on August 30, 2011 to file a claim since our mattress has a 10-year warranty and expected to hear someone on the other end to relate to the problem we were having. She said ok and that ShopNBC is one of the companies that accept claims. She then told me she would send out the necessary paperwork that needed to be completed and returned with a $35.00 check. Then they would send a person to come and look at our mattress. Of course, I got all the questions: Did I buy the complete set?, Do I have 5 slats under the box springs and are they evenly spaced?, Any tears or stains on the box springs (which I said no, none at all)? I politely answered all the questions, and she gave me a reference number. She also said she would mail me the paperwork.

I received the paperwork in 10 days which I returned to Serta the very next day with a copy of the tags from the mattress and box springs. Days and weeks went on without anyone calling, so I called again on September 22, 2011 asking about my claim. The lady said, "Oh, I see your paperwork has been received and someone should have contacted you." I replied, "No, no one has called." She said then that she would resend my claim to an inspector and someone should call within 3 to 5 days.

Today I called back (October 12, 2011). Again, I gave my reference claim number to Casey and went through the spill again. She said she was sorry and that she would resend it again. I asked to speak to someone over her, a supervisor, when she put me on hold for about 5 minutes. When she finally came back to me, she said the same thing that they will try a different vendor to come and do an inspection. I asked again why this has taken 2 months with no results. She said she was sorry for the delay. Well, I told her the delay was not helping our backs and pain in our shoulders. We have now turned the mattress sideways to sleep across the grain. My husband is going to a chiropractor today to see if he can help the pain in his shoulder.

I asked for a corporate number to call. She wouldn't give that to me and gave just an address. I asked her if this was Serta's policy to ignore their customers when they file a complaint. She only said that my request would again be sent. But this time, she didn't want to talk to me anymore by the tone in her voice. So I again asked to speak to a supervisor. She replied, "No!"

We had a mattress prior to this one that lasted 8 years before we needed to replace it. We were also put through the "consultant" that looked at our mattress. Their review required them to push down on the mattress, which of course was very easy to do, then measure the sag. The issue we have is that without weight, the mattress recovers pretty quickly and meets their pathetic mattress warranty. With any weight at all, the mattress sags an easy 10-12". I rotated my mattress like they said to do, so it broke in evenly. I bought a brand new frame with a middle support for $100.00, I bought a $200 waterproof mattress pad so I would not get any stains. I did everything they said to do. I had an independent mattress inspection company come out on January 25, 2011. Protocol: They measured, took pictures, etc. (quality of material being defective, obviously) and they sent my report to Serta in Utah.

Well, go figure. Serta sent me a letter on January 31, 2011 that they will not cover it. The warranty from Serta says right in it that it has to sag at least 1 1/2 inches before exchanging. Mine sags only 1 inch in 7 weeks. Do you buy a set of tires and the rubber wears off in 7 weeks? When does a company have to take responsibility for a product that fails in 7 weeks? I spoke to the lady at Serta who signed my denial letter and she accused me of "just calling to complain". She would not let me talk, interrupted me at every word. I left a message for her boss and never heard anything. I then called and left messages for the Vice President and have not heard anything. Hello, people! I know things are not made like they used to be, but 7 weeks for a $1,800.00 dollar mattress? I will never recommend Serta to anyone. We were told by our salesman, Keith, that Serta had this great warranty so we could feel good about spending $3,000.00 on this set since it would be the last one we would ever need to buy. We were told by him that Serta made the best mattresses and had the best warranty; we purchased it on September 7th 2009.

About nine months later, we moved our bedroom furniture so my husband looked on Serta's website to see how they recommended moving it. The website said to stand it up on its end; so we did. The pillow top slid to the center of the bed creating a huge lump in the mattress that made it impossible to sleep on. We contacted the Mattress Center. They sent Keith over to take pictures. Several weeks went by with no contact so we went into the store only to find out that Serta told the store that they would not replace our mattress because there was a Kool-Aid stain on the material from the grandbabies leaking sippy cup. They said that the stain constituted abuse and that voided our warranty.

I am completely disgusted to know that a company with a reputation like Serta can comfortably screw honest consumers. At no point have we tried to not pay for the mattress or trade it in for one less expensive. We simply asked for them to replace it with exactly what we purchased. We were not told that the warranty would be voided for normal wear and tear. We were not told to use a mattress protector to protect it. The salesman, Keith, said that a $3,000 mattress should be able to be moved as many times as we wanted to move it and that he could not imagine that Serta would not stand by their warranty.

I have told everyone I know and will continue telling everyone I meet to not buy a Serta. Vera Wang should be ashamed that she allows her name to be put on a product that's as sorry as this. We are sleeping on a loaner that the store gave us that feels like a rock and leaving us in need of a Chiropractor! All the while we are paying the $3,000 plus 21.98% interest.

I was told it's an excellent middle of the line bed. It should be the bottom of the line bed! I've rotated this mattress since I bought it. And there's no mark or stain on it. It has had a mattress protector since day one. I bought a Miralux mattress in 1999 and it lasted for over 10 years before it sagged. It was comfortable and I never had a problem with it.

I decided to upscale to a brand name mattress as I couldn't find another Miralux as comfortable as the one I had. I'm so disappointed in Serta and the shady quality. If you buy a Serta Pillowtop (which I recommend you don't), buyer beware. I'd hate to see someone else spend their hard earned money for this product. They should have a 1-year warranty guarantee! Thanks Serta for your not perfect day sleeper! I might as well flush my money down the toilet. There are complaints all over the web about Serta. I only wish I had thoroughly done my mattress homework before I bought this piece of junk!

We purchased our Cal-King Serta Perfect Sleep Brigedale pillow top mattress set from NCB shop in 2005. This is the worst bed in the world as far as I'm concerned. I've had to go to physical therapy, get Cortizone shots in my back and can hardly stand up at time due to the sever pain. I had an MRI and I have a bulged disk in my lower back which is pinching a nerve in going down my leg.

After reading all the other complaints, I'm certain it is due to this bed. It started a year after we got the bed and has just progressed. The bed began to sag on both sides leaving the middle all fluffy and soft while we sleep in these little dips. It has been so uncomfortable at times we ever flipped the mattress over to see if it would flatten/even it out some. It didn't! My mother-in-law said to call Serta because it's a defect in the bed causing all my back pain.

I just called Serta and got the whole, "We'll send you some paperwork to file a claim. Return that paper, copy of receipt and the tag on the bed. Once they get that paperwork they will send a guy out to look at it and determine if it's defective." Really! How can a company do this? I'm in constant pain and have the doctor records to prove it. It's just sad that this company can keep selling these beds while so many people suffer from them? This must be stopped!

Mattress is approximately one year old now and started to sag at about eight months old. My husband called and was told about the one and a half inch sag rule. I called and said it was defective. Donnie, from one of the local Just Beds, came out and said the foam has shifted and the sides are breaking down. He looked at manufacture info. on the bed and determined it was made at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday and chuckled. I asked does that explain why the bed is defective and he chuckled again. He then checked the surface of the mattress thoroughly and was collecting his clipboard, etc., when he said let me double check and he walked to the far side of the bed and wouldn't you know it.

He said I see a slight stain right where the king pillows would have met. I did not see a stain and told him. So I went on to tell him that no one even slept where he was putting his hand and we don't. It is truly the dead space between the King pillow corners. Donnie then recanted and said he could not switch out the mattress because he saw a slight stain and I told him to his face we need a second opinion because I did not see what he saw and he gave me the number to a local factory.

I called and the contact he gave me did not call me for three days. On the fourth day, I called and asked for someone else to help me and the receptionist referred me to a member of management and he did not return my call to the second day and he said if Donnie said it had a stain, there was nothing he could do but give me the number to customer service or another factory.

I took the customer service number and called they were closed for the day. So I filed a BBB complaint. I know some of you have not had any luck with this but trust me companies have to respond and by placing a valid complaint, it will raise the awareness for all consumers. I believe the BBB has given Serta Beds a rating of a 'C' and had I checked, I would have never purchased a bed of any kind from Serta. The did elect to exchange my bed after lodging a complaint against the way they do business.

In 2006 I bought a queen size mattress, it is a serta pedic. After the first year it started to sag. Not just the mattress but the box springs corners started getting concave on all four corners. Now here it is after four years and springs are popping everywhere. The fabric on the mattress is rolling itself around the whole mattress, the edge on one side does not have any padding left on it due to the rolling. So I feel the wire on the edge.

The bed has sunk on both sides, with a hump in the middle. When I called the store where I bought it, and complained to them so for a charge of $49.95 they sent out someone to inspect it. I agree the mattress had one small burn on the edge and it had one stain on it, but neither one of these things have anything to do with this horrible mattress except give them a reason to tell me that they would not replace it because of the stain and small burn.

According to the store the mattress has to be in perfect condition for a replacement can be done. So for anyone who is buying a Serta Mattress, keep the plastic on it--you'll need to keep it sanitary. This is the worst mattress I have ever bought. I will never buy another Serta Mattress and I will be sure to tell anyone looking for a new mattress to not buy a Serta.

A call to Serta said that the only remedy to the situation is to pay for an inspection of $35.00 and possibly a replacement of the mattress.

Since the bed has become a medical problem for me, I do not want a replacement but a pro-rated amount for the mattress. I have purchased another mattress and have good service. On November 24, 2010, I am flabbergasted after reading these complaints for Serta Mattresses. Several months ago, I purchased a Serta. Within a month it was sagging. Since I am single and only sleep on one side, I was positive some big fat guy had previously bought this mattress, and created a big sag on my side. So, I tried sleeping in the middle but there was a hard something, going up the middle. That didn't work either. I turned the mattress around, and within a couple of weeks, it started sagging on that side. I thought the fat man must have slept on both sides. Also shortly after I bought the mattress, I started waking up between 2-4 AM nauseated. I thought I had the flu.

It went on for weeks. One Saturday, I slept for 14 hours. I was so sick. I called the doctor, but got no answers. About a month after I bought the mattress, I developed buttocks pain. I went from doctor to doctor, physical therapist to physical therapist, acupuncture, etc. but nothing helped. It continued to get worse. I got an EMG, MRI and a walker. The pain and nausea continued to get worse, until one morning I woke up so nauseated that I had to get out of the house to get some fresh air, when I began hallucinating and became suicidal, which started to subside when my lungs were filled with clean air.

At time, I smelled a strange odor in the bedroom, and bought a mattress cover. ,After the hallucinating episode, I opened every window and door, and switched the A/C on, and aired out the house, still not knowing what the problem was. I thought I was going crazy. That night, I slept on the mattress again, and had the same problems, excruciating buttocks, lower back and leg pains, and nausea. I talked to another medical person, and decided that I would sleep on the floor in the TV room that night, suspecting it was the mattress' memory foam causing the problems.

Sure enough. It's 6 AM, after sleeping on the floor in another room, no nausea, didn't wake up, I got up, buttocks still in pain, but didn't need the walker, and it's 50 times better. I will see what happens as day goes on. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms? What should I do about it? It sounds like Serta doesn't stand behind their product, and sounds like contacting them is a waste of time. I have been suffering from pain for months, been extremely nauseated for months (which goes away during the day), and had severe thoughts of suicide, all from the memory foam in their mattress. I don't know what to do.

I then asked the inspector what and who designed this test to determine if a mattress is defective. I think you should be measuring the depth that it sinks in when I lay in it. The inspector stated that this was the way Serta wants it done. I replied to him that this testing method is for the birds and that someone should investigate this bogus way to test for a defective mattress. Three days later, I receive a call from Rooms To Go Customer Services Rep and she stated that the company will inspect the mattress in 60 days to see if it sank in the 1/2 inch.

I replied that for a 1/2 inch, you are going to make a disabled person suffer for an additional 60 days with this defective mattress and she replied to contact Serta. I have measured the mattress at the store and they were all short for most manufacturers. At this rate, for every 80 units they sell, they get one free. They advertise this size, show it on their website and when questioned about it, they say they are allowed a variance. If they are short on all units, it is not a variance but a standard. We've never had problems with Serta before and have other mattresses that are fine and several years old. We contacted Darvin. They sent out Premier Inspections.

They inspected the mattress, took numerous pictures, and sent their findings to Darvin. Darvin informed us that they would replace our box springs, because they were defective and that is causing the problem. However, that makes no sense to replace box springs but the severely defective mattress stays. The mattress has not corrected itself. Is that even possible?

I later called Darvin to dispute the decision and asked them to send me a copy of the report from Premier Inspections, which I have every right to have. This has been an ongoing problem. They will not send me a copy of the report. They stated they don't have a copy. Yet, they read me excerpts from the report from their computer system. They also stated they could not forward the report from their system as an attachment, because they don't have e-mail access. I also told Premier Inspections (Cindy), and she stated it's Darvin's responsibility to forward their clients the reports.

To make a long story short, I spoke to Darvin (Ethel) a few days ago. She told me that I must contact Serta. I found this all very odd, since the initial claim started with Serta, and I was told to contact Darvin. It has been 90 days back/forth. By June, it was sagging in the center so badly that we both had trouble sleeping and always had stiff backs in the morning. We called Macy's and they sent out the guy who measures to see if the depression is deep enough to qualify for warranty coverage. Ours did. He then checked the integrity of the box springs. No problem there. He then looked at the bed's frame and said the problem was that there was no center support slats, and that's why the mattress was sagging. That would make sense, only if the box spring was sagging too. The only thing sagging is the mattress.

Considering the amount of this purchase, if this mattress requires special frame support, shouldn't the salesperson have taken the time to counsel the customer on this bed's special needs? Putting a bed together isn't something you should have to read a manual to do. There are so many customer complaints about Serta mattresses sagging in the middle shortly after they are purchased, and all everyone has gotten is the runaround - no matter where they bought it. Why do they even offer a 10-year warranty? They have no intention of ever honoring it. Just don't buy a Serta. It probably will sag and there is nothing you will be able to do about it. I just wonder why they are getting away with this!

We now have no choice but to throw this mattress and the $2,000.00 it cost away. They should be ashamed of themselves.

They gave me the number to serta and I called them about it. They sent soemone out to take pictures. My husband had worked a lot of overtime the week beefore and was too tired to switch out the boards, but we had removed them because they were bending and starting to crack. I had infomred the warranty person who was at our house this and told him that the new boards were in the garage. I had also informed him that there was GRApe and APPLE juice stains on the mattress but that we shampooed it right away, because he looked at them funny. In the letter from serta they denied it stating that there wasn't sufficient support and bodyily function stains on the bed. I reported them to the BBB and called them to tell them there are NO body funtion stains and they are juice because we have toddlers and they spill and our bed is not dirty because of my dust mite allergies, I have to shampoo the matres every other month and vacuum and spray with lysol to kill the dust mites on a weekly basis or my allerigies flair up. and also informed them we had never received any warranty information. when they repleid to the bbb complaint, all they did was send the warranty info with a letter stating they are not replacing because it is against the warranty. I responded thorugh the bbb stating we had never received warranty info UNTIL they sent it with their copy of the bbb reply. that was the first we saw of the wsarrany and i re-explained everything on top. they did not repsond to the second bbb reply i submitted. Sertan has highly offended me aqnd my husband by stating we would actually allow bodily functions on our bed, which is just gross, and that our bed was dirty when i have to clean iot frrequently or else i have breathing problems from my allergies. Our bed is so dippy, that you can feel the springs dig into you. You can feel the boards that we had to place between the foundation and mattress to try and even out the bed. We toss and turn all night because of the springs and boards, i have to sleep with my hands and arms under my back to try and even it out. my husband and i have back pains that go down to our legs and up to our necks from not being able to sleep good. when i was telling a family member about this problem, she said she had the exact same problem because their bed had dipping and sagging problems as well. serta refused to abide by their waranty and they had to get an attorney involved. Now i am trying to find thier corporate address to lodge a comaplint against the highes person that i can. from what i have heard others say about sesrta, no matter the problem, they do all they can and make stuff up so that they don't have to replace it as according to their own warranty. I do not recommend to anyone buying serta. i know that we will never buy serta again. they have poor customer service and do what they can not follow their own warranty, which if a customer doesn't receive warranty inforamtion, they still should be replaicng it because it is not the customers fault they did not receive warranty info.

I purchased a Serta mattress set from them. The first one arrived and was soft, so they replaced it. The 2nd. one after a few months was also found to be soft. They came and did a string test to confirm it was sagging over 1 1/2 inches. To confirm this I was told to pay them $25 to come and confirm this. I was given a 3rd one and after a time, felt it was also sagging, but thought I must be wrong, as it was after all my 3rd mattress. Once a spring broke through the side, and i had upgraded with more money for this one, they again replaced it. The one i have now, I have had since Jan. It is tuffted on the top, but also is sagging. I had a guy come to look at it, said yes, they had been having problems with some being soft, didn't do a string test, as with that type top, it looks almost normal. I did a test and it was about a half to an inch space. For them to take it back they clain it must be a inch and a half space. I told them it is causing back aches. They said, well, its a comfort issue and until they see a inch and a half space, I guess i have to live with it. I will NEVER buy another SERTA Mattress.

I paid $1800 for a Serta Dunmore mattress with a plush top. Within two weeks, this mattress started appearing worn. Now, I've had it 5 weeks and a Serta rep (Darrell) came out today and told me that it had to be sinking 1 3/4" before the warranty would be good. Mattress warranties are worthless. I'd rather have my old mattress back. It was only 4 years old. It was doing the same sinking in the middle as this one. And I spent $1800 for that?

We needed a new bed and went looking for a Serta pillow top. That's what all our friends were raving about and it was fine for about 6 months and it went down hill from there. It hurts my shoulders and I sleep on my side, so I don't get good sleep at all. My wife goes to sleep in the bed but ends up on the couch, which by the way sleeps great. I will never have a Serta pillow top ever again; in fact, when I do find a good bed I will drag that Serta out back and burn it. We did contact Serta. They said they were sorry, but that’s all.

A man from Serta came out and took photos and measurments and sent it to the customer service folks at Serta international. They in turn sent me a letter stating that they would replace the mattress and not the box spring. I called to voice my displeasure with this and said now I will have a mix match set. What happened to the mattress and box spring that had to be from the same lot and type. I also had to send a huge check in the amount of, $149.00 or they would not replace the mattress. My complaint is as follow, Why should I pay for shipping for a defected product and to have a mutimillion dollad company say the box spring and mattress should match each other, and when it comes time to honor their warranty, they nichol and dime you like a cheap cpmpaany going out of business. It took 2 months before Mattress Marshall sent an inspector to check the mattress. The inspector reported to Serta that there was no defect. After five messages, I finally got in contact with Mr. Jeff ** at Serta and he informed me that the mattress had no defect. I asked for another inspection. He said it would cost me $35.00, but I could get the same results. I had already paid $65.00 to have the second one delivered, plus $1,522.48 for the mattress.

Being an older couple, we don't always sleep in the middle of the bed anymore. Since the company we bought the mattress from refused to honor the warranty, we have resorted to a board under each side that we sleep on & a foam topper for comfort. This mattress is very poorly made & it is unfortunate that companies will not stand behind their products. My 10-yr-old Sears mattress was better than this one even when it was new. We Purchased a Mattress with box spring at Mattress Giant store, with a 10 year warranty. Only after 2 years, we have been having bad back pain due the sagging in the mattress. That is when we went to Matress Giant to place a claim on our warranty. We got the surprise that the store doesn't warranty these mattresses, we had to ask the manufacturer for warranty. We contacted the manufacturer by their website, because you cannot contact them by phone. To which they sent us letter that if I wanted them to inspect the bed we had to pay $35. for the inspection. Which at the time it seemed ridiculous, but my wife was having a lot of back pain and it was not much better for me.

I sent the documents for inspection with a check for $35. After they got the check, they would call to set up an appointment. The inspector came took his measurements and pictures, never sat on the bed, I believe to the convenience or Serta Policy, which is the bed had to be 1 1/2 inches deep to constitute them filling the waranty obligation. 3 weeks later we recieved a letter from Serta that their measurements taken by the inspector are not within their policy for a exchange or refund of the Mattress.

The inspection read 1 1/4 inches deep to one side. This is an abuse from Serta to the consumers. I did my own measuring and the bed is easily sagging 2 inches. But as they said if I wantd a reinspecton I had to pay again and wait 6 months. My Final comment, do not buy this product from this company SERTA AUBURN FALLS EUROTOP, be aware they don't fulfill their commitment to the consumer, the warranty is only for show.

In furniture City store, I laid in the center of a Serta queen size (there were no Full size Crystal Mint Mattress on display.) The mattress I tested was firm but soft and had the qualities I was looking for.

I charged it to my credit card, a full size Crystal Mint Mattress. This transaction took place May 06, 2006. Delivery was scheduled for May 31, 2006.

When the delivery arrived, before they unloaded the mattress from the truck, I went out to the truck and noticed it was not the same mattress that I had picked out and paid for and I refused to accept it.

The truck driver tried to conjole me in accepting the conterfeit mattress but I firmly refused. Then, he called the warehouse and told me they did not have the Serta Crystal Mint in stock.

I was incensed because I had given away my perfectly good mattress and box expecting the Serta Crystal Mint Mattress delievery.

Over his cell, the warehouse referred the truck driver to the store, Furniture City. They suggested that I keep the conterfeit mattress until the Serta Mint was delivered, but, the plastic had to remain on the mattress. This, I refused. I would not sleep on a mattress with plastic and told them I would be in to cancel the sale. The Furniture City saleman relented and told the truck driver the plastic could be removed. After the mattress was set up in my house, I called the store.

Then, I got in my car and drove to Furniture City to inquire about the delivery charge, forty-nine dollars. I had not received what I paid for. I was given a refund for forty-nine dollars.

The Crystal Mint Mattress was delivered a few day later.

Now, the problem; at first the mattress was good, four months later, it was bad and in six months it is going from bad to worse.

The springs bang and thump in the center of the bed whenever body positions is changed. The mattress center is indented and sunk from body impression and has not reverted.

Sitting on the edge of the mattress sides or foot gives a loud thwacks and bangs from the springs within the mattress.

Overall, I have had to put flat decorator pillows under my body to insure a measure of firmness. Still I am very uncomfortable.

While laying on the queen size mattress in the store the salesman assure me that the full size mattress was essentially the same quality. I have not felt that quality in this Serta Crystal Mint mattress I am not trying to sleep on.

During the testing of the mattress in the store, there was not any spring reverberation on body shifting. If, there had been, I most certainly would not have bought it.

I have not contacted the store about these issues because the Invoice states All Sales are Final.

I have tried to find Serta Corporation address, without success, to complaint. So, this is my last recourse. Actually, my complaint has more to do with the SERTA because they are the manufacturer.

I am a senior citizen living on limited income and have need of a firm/yet comfortable mattress that retains shape. This indention in the center has given me hip and lower back strain. I am not financially able to buy another mattress anytime soon.

In October 2003, I purchased a Serta pillowtop mattress from a now defunct local mattress dealer. The mattress and box spring were purchased at the same store, on the same day. The mattress was purported to carry a ten year warranty. I had the mattress and box spring delivered and set up by the mattress company from whom I had bought the set.

I am 65 yrs. old, a widow, and no one else has slept on the mattress. The pieces were quite heavy and bulky, and I had never flipped the mattress since it was installed.

By January 2005 the mattress had developed a sink hole approximately 30inches wide X 40 long in the center. and as nearly as I could measure using a 48 steel rule and a 6 dial indicator vernier caliper, the deepest part was at least1.5 inches deep. I called the Denver factory, and was told all warranty claims were handled out of the Illinois facility.

In early February I went on-line, filled out the warranty claim form, and submitted it. About a week later I was asked to send them copies of the invoice, and sales reciept, and a copy of the law tag from the mattress, which I did, via e-mail. A few days later I recieved a copy of their warranty form in the mail, which I was told had to be completed and sent along with the previously supplied proof of purchase. I sent the duplicate information.
I was never able to talk with anyone re. the claim. All calls go to the same answering machine, and no messages were ever replied to. The only contact was with a Trisha Buries-Wells which I have reason to suspect is a psuedonom,

possibly meaning Trisha Buries wells--ie. sinkholes, ie depressions.

In May, finally Serta sent an inspector to my home. He looked at the sinkhole, took a fishing sinker (interesting choice) on a piece of white string out of his pocket, and measured the sinkhole, with no measuring device. He pronounced it 1.5 deep. He then flipped the mattress exposing two small water spots near the foot of the mattress. Naturally, the area of the failed springs, was now sunken to the opposite (bottom) of the mattress. The inspector said the spots were probably caused by small tears in the plastic covering, and had happened at either the factory, or at a warehouse. I thought no more about it.

In the third week of May, I recieved an e-mail, saying that the claim was denied.

I protested, because, by now the sinkhole was even deeper, and there was no way to keep from rolling into the hole while attempting to sleep on it. They said they would review the claim. Two days later, via another e-mail, they denied it again, saying that a 1.5 depression was normal, the industry standard for non warranty replacement I complained, and told them I was going to file a new claim at each new depth of the sinkhole, until either ten years had passed, or I was satisfied. I then was told the mattress had stains, and so the warranty was now Void, and no new claim would be considered.

I then sent Serta a photo of the actual bed, which was very graphic in showing the huge sinkhole.
I printed the words SEALY, industry standard in bright lemon yellow, and sent it to their serta service e-mail. I received an immediate reply telling me that they were ready to sue me for slander (For a picture labeled SEALY?)

A week later I recieved a letter from them saying that the depression was 1 inch deep, but that that made no difference, because the warranty was VOID because of the stains.

What a waterspot- or any other mark on the exterior of a mattress has to do with defective springs, is a question I doubt even SERTA can explain. I would not be suprised to find that all of their plastic covers have rips in them!

If you buy a SERTA mattress, do so knowing that they do not honor their so called Warranty. You will not be given a copy of it with the mattress. Check the consumer sites, such as ePinion, and RipOff report. You will find horror stories re the spring failure and no warranty policy by Serta Co. No wonder Serta posted record earnings ! If everyone sold their expensive products as is/ or may become your risk. Everyone could get on the money wagon!

I am stuck with an expensive piece of junk, I am living only on my socoal security check, I have no funds to replace this mattress that I purchased because of the supposed excellence of this company.

It is very difficult to get a nights rest when one is constantly struggling to keep from rolling into the sinkhole! If ever I am able thru a windfall perhaps, to buy a different mattress, I will go for the discount, no name brand ones for less than $200.00! If there is a class action suit for fraudulent warranty claims against this company, I would certainly want to be on the complaintants list!

I ordered two Serta Platinum Elite Twin Beds from Shop NBC on February 23,2003. However, the two Beds sagged significantly and we requested Serta Mattress Company to inspect the beds.

They sent an inspector at the end of June, 2003. We received a letter from Serta Mattress Company in the Middle of July, 2003. They indicated based on the results of a recent inspection, Serta agrees to replace, factory direct,1 Twin Matt & 2 Twin Box Spring PS Platinum Elite. Since I was in Italy for vacation I was unable to respond to Serta until August, 2003. Serta charged us $75.00 for delivery of 1 Twin Matt & 2 Twin Box Spring PS Platinum Elite. They indicate upon receipt of the check or money order they will place the order.

Well, I decided to send a letter in August, 2003 to Serta Mattress' Corporate office to convey my disappointment in the mattress and to request my money back. The Serta web site is http://www.serta.com/pages/customer_serv.html and I sent a letter the following address: Serta World Headquarters
    325 Spring Lake Drive

    Itasca, Illinois 60143

I was completely surprise that I did not receive any response from the corporate office. Feeling that I had no other recourse but to send Serta the $75.00 so that I could have a new mattress and two new Spring Boxes. Again the $75.00 represents the delivery charge for the above items.

I called Fatima Jore the Customer Service personnel at Serta in Linden New Jersey. She indicated that they did receive the Money order for $75.00 deliver charge and that she already has placed the order and to expect to receive the items shortly.

Several weeks have passed by and no mattress or the two box springs. I called Fatima Jorge the Customer Service personnel at Serta and she indicated that one of the spring boxes was lost. On December 24, 2003, she needed to re-order the mattress and the two box springs again. We finally received the mattress and two box springs in January, 2004. Fatima Jorge indicated to get in touch with her if the beds still appear to sag. We agreed to give it a few months. The beds both were sagging again significantly. My wife's back cannot tolerate such discomfort due to the sagging of the bed. I once again called Fatima Jorge in April, 2004 to request another inspection of both beds.

In May 2004, the inspector checked both beds to confirm the sagging. We received a letter from Fatima Jorge, based on the results of the inspection Serta agrees to replace with 2 twin XL sets Perfect Sleeper Concordia P/T EC.

To be quite hones at this point I am so disappointed and disgusted with serta. I do not intent and feel it is not fair that we go through this process again. What happens if the mattress sags again. Do I call Fatima, she sends an inspector and confirms our results and we get another bed again. It is very frustrating.

I am writing to you to ask for your assistance into this matter. I want to be reimbursed for the two mattresses and box springs. I again have sent a letter to Seta's corporate office last year and received no response. Can you please call me (201) 998-7730 so that we could discuss how would go about getting my money back. You cooperation into this matter is greatly appreciated.
