March 2024 we purchased a Serta Ellawood California king mattress from a local dealer. We were told that we had to also purchase the mattress cover or else the warranty wouldn’t be effective so we did. $1297.00. Fast forward to Nov. 2024 and where my husband sleeps is a sag/dip. I’m hoping we can get some answers to our problem. There are no tears and it has not been abused at all. A mattress is supposed to last 7-10 YEARS not 7-10 MONTHS!!!! I’ve reached out to our local dealer without any help.

I purchased a Serta iComfort memory foam mattress 2024. It's the cooling model with the snowflakes.. Well, I was told there would be a "break in" period in order for this bed to feel comfortable.. It's now 6 months in and still feels like a concrete slab. Oh btw..this is the plush model! I have arthritis and wake up with more aches and pains due to this uncomfortable thing. Thank goodness I bought this on clearance and didn't waste too much $$. Do yourself a favor and buy a Tempur-Pedic. I now sleep on it, in the spare bedroom.

Do not order from Serta. I bought a sofa from them and the sofa came in a box with cushions vacuum sealed in bags. Upon opening, I realized they gave me two completely different-sized cushions. I reached out to multiple departments in the company and continuously got the runaround. They still never got back to me and it is now 3 months since I received the sofa.

About 15 months ago I bought a Serta Aruba queen size mattress from Mattress Warehouse. Two weeks ago while buying a mattress bed lift system for my wife, from a competitor, the salesman explained the process for filing a warranty claim. I never realized there were third party mattress inspectors who would come to your house at no cost to me and do an evaluation of my Serta mattress. Turns out my mattress was judged a lumpy mess (and likely the cause of my frequent back aches). Within three weeks of filing the warranty claim and inspection of the mattress, I received a replacement approval letter for reselection from Mattress Warehouse. Full replacement cost for what I paid plus I must pay a $99 transportation fee. Of course it will be a different manufacturer since reading the experiences on this website. For what it's worth, I am told Serta no longer makes plush top mattresses.

My son's mattress wasn't even 2-3 years old. It is a firm mattress. It developed a HUGE divot in the center and appears the inner springs collapsed. He contacted the mattress store where he purchased the set at and was told he had to contact Serta, which he did. They would not accept his pictures and said they had to come look at the mattress. That's been over six months and still no date set. He had to purchase another one (not ever Serta again). As of today, it's headed to the garbage man...tired of having it in my way. We bought a 2022 Serta icomfort split king so it's coming up on 2 years. Let me tell you something, don't buy Serta stuff PERIOD. Years ago they used to make quality mattresses, but everything we've bought from them has these past 10 years has been utter garbage within 6 months to a year. I have back issues that flare up periodically. After going to a showroom with my wife and testing the I-comfort mattress we decided to splurge a bit and buy a more expensive memory foam mattress as we were tired of the typical biennial lifespan of mattresses we've had (most of them Serta). The previous one was so bad it was literally almost a taco with ruts.

Both of us consistently woke up with sore backs, etc. So we decided let's actually get a quality mattress. The split king has several options of firmness of the memory foam and we got the medium one. 2 years later we are ready to throw them out (except the frame). They are the most uncomfortable mattresses I've ever slept on. They are permanently rutted despite them being memory foam. 2 years that's IT!!!!!

As you can see from the photo this mattress is layers of foam the size of a 2 inch mattress pad pressed and glued. Not a one piece of solid foam as my previous mattress was. What a bunch of baloney! Plus, they tell you you have a 10 year warranty,, Well my 2 didn't even make 1 1/2 years! So I phoned QVC, they didn't want to know anything, so they send all the info to Serta who in-turn, wants photos of everything!!! The base, the box spring I mean everything. Tags invoices and everything else but my first born child! Everyday it was can you send more pictures can you jump through this hoop and that hoop... Finally I told them the game was over, I knew what they were playing and I was done. Yep, they beat me down finally. All I can say is 2 things, never purchase a mattress from QVC and never waste your money on any Serta product! I'll toss these 2 crap items in the trash, a lesson well learned,,,,

After having this mattress for 1 year it's quite awful. A few months ago my husband and I noticed that the mattress sinks in and caves in while you're laying down. Not just a little body dent. Like if someone were in the middle they would roll down do you deep sinking. My husband is a skinny guy like not even 150lbs and I weigh more than him and we both leave equally large dents. We've had an increase in back pain, poor sleep, discomfort and sometimes resort to sleeping on the couch.

I purchased a Serta Cozy Escape Mattress in January 2022 and by June 2022 the mattress sunk into the middle once we laid on it. We are not obese people and this should NOT have happened. I tried to get the Serta Warranty Department to replace this mattress, and after charging me $45.00 to send a warranty representative, they denied my warranty claiming that the mattress sunk only 1/2" and not 1-1/2 inches. They did this by using a string along the mattress. Did not lay on the mattress nor did they allow us to lay on the mattress. I have not been able to sleep on that mattress and after trying to get it replaced, they denied me. I had to throw away the mattress and purchase a new one.

I will never purchase a Serta product again because they did not stand by me as a consumer. I am very disappointed in the warranty process. Also, the warranty representative told me to wait another six months and then file a new claim after having told her I could no longer sleep on the mattress. Do NOT purchase a Serta Cozy Escape Mattress.

Purchased a mattress set from QVC. Eight weeks later, I still didn't have my mattress. I had major issues with XPO delivery service which according to QVC was contracted by Serta. I work for a living and have limited availability for delivery. QVC sold this as "easy to call and schedule a time". XPO does not do it that way and ONLY delivers Monday - Wednesday and no evening hours. After two attempts to delivery at my non-specified time range, XPO "lost" my item for 10 days. To speak to someone at XPO, you have to be savvy to get around the automated line because when you enter your phone number, it connects you with your order. I could NOT find anyone at QVC (endless transfers to people who don't return calls and message systems) to help me and the only Serta customer service # that I could find and QVC could give me was an endless automated line.

I was looking forward to my purchase, but eventually had to cancel the order and get off the hamster wheel of this horrible experience. I would think if Serta is selling a product through a vendor they would provide a customer service # to help. Very disappointed all around with this experience. Serta was non-existent and QVC didn't care.

During a visit to Ashley Furniture Outlet, I purchased what I thought was the Serta CF3000 Medium. Ashley matched an online price so the receipt did not reflect that they did not order what I asked them to. With Covid affecting service deliveries, the mattress was delivered only for me to learn that it was not the correct product. Ashley refused to acknowledge their error and abandoned me. Seeking recourse for their error, I engaged Serta directly. I expected nothing but hoped for the best and Serta delivered.

I credit the following folks in Serta Customer Support for their acknowledgement and continued support which did lead to resolution: Linda, Charles, Sherice, Brittany and especially Ralph all went far above and beyond my expectations. They spent time with me, identified a mutual solution and made things right for what Ashley would not. Not only does Serta provide great products; they also have a top-notch Customer Support Team that goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Serta did not have to help me; they were not obligated to, but they did. Customer Service like this is rare; because of this, I am forever Serta loyal!

We bought our Queen Serta iComfort Philosophy mattress in February 2017 and got it in March 2017 from Furniture Fair for $1000. After only 5 yrs the mattress is totally JUNK!!! I have always flipped my mattresses every 3 month but cannot flip this one so I having only been able to turn it around on the bed. Despite turning the mattress every 3 months the mattress had started caving in and collapsing on the sides to the point it will dump you off the bed. You cannot sit on it.

After turning it a few weeks ago it had a big collapse on my husband's side of the bed. He is 6'5" but not heavy set. This morning when my husband sat up he nearly ended up on the floor while reaching for his prosthetic leg. I have had mattresses and flipped them all my life. Never have I had one do this! The last mattress we had 15 yrs. But then again I've never had a mattress with memory foam. I feel Serta is totally taking advantage of buyers! They have to KNOW there is a problem with their product yet keep selling it. I am currently waiting to hear back from the company I bought it from. I had to leave a message. I assumed SERTA had a good product, I needed a very firm mattress due to some back weakness. I got a rather expensive extra firm twin SERTA Perfect Sleeper mattress and it was fine for the first few months. I only weigh 135 pounds and soon began to sense the mattress was turning into a soup bowl. It kept getting worse. The only way I could get the firmness I needed was to try to sleep right on the mattress edge where it was still quite firm. And then I was about falling off the bed.

I flipped it over to see if using it upside down would help and it did for about a month, but that too became a soup bowl, like what you would expect in a cheap motel. I went back to where I bought it and their lame excuse was that the firmness does break down some with time. Really! Just a half year and as light as I am? They said they would stand behind it if it sagged 1 1/2” below the level line from edge to edge. What a joke that is. The sagging happens when skinny me lies on it. It does not show much sag with no weight on it. I’m totally disgusted with this mattress. If you need a firm mattress, DO NOT BUY SERTA!

After its arrived it felt a little strange as I was sinking in. I am sleeping alone and my weight is only 150 lbs. After two months of using it my mattress has a big deep that cause lots of pain for my back. Customer service denied to exchange my mattress as they said I need to buy a new spring box because mine's warranty expired several months ago. My old spring box is just fine, it's basically a wooden box covered with cloth, nothing is broken and I do not want to spend money on the new one. The mattress I bought can be used without a spring box, or at least it is said right there on the label. Customer service said that I need to buy a different bed if I do not want to buy a new spring box (my bed is less than 1 year old).

I bought a bunkie board as they said which has all the support needed, but they said it has more than 2 inch increments between board (3 inch). None of their warranty documents stated that rule about 2 inches. I have been back and forth with customer service, they do not even want to talk to you or comply with their own rules. Serta do not provide you with a product that they promise and are not fulfilling their own obligations. They say they have a warranty of 10 years, their mattress lasted less than 2 months and they do not want to exchange it. I purchased a Serta memory foam just over 6 years ago. It supposedly had a 20 year warranty. I started having issues with it a little over a year ago. First issue I had is poor craftsmanship with the zippers that are basically holding on the cover for the foam from manufacturer. Poor design in my opinion. I've also always kept the required mattress protector on it as well. The mattress protector is actually what helped keep the foam cover on this last year. I have a Captain's bed which has enough slats that I've always been told you don't need a box spring. This is my second Captain's bed and 3rd mattress used on them. The first 2 were spring styled beds and they lasted considerably longer.

Serta's response for denial of claim was that my bed frame needed a Bunkie board or plywood? Why is I need this when both my other beds last 8 plus years. I feel they do these little loopholes so they don't have to honor their warranties. I understand as a company they don't want to give out free product but make better products. Then there wouldn't be so many complaints. Also Serta definitely needs to improve the warranty process. It took me a couple months just to get an answer. Then once I got it no one would explain the issues very clearly. So 3 months later I finally get an answer. My opinion would be stay away from Serta. I will never do any business with them ever again because of this incident.

I purchased an iComfort mattress and adjustable frame. We purchased two king size extra long mattresses and frames. They came with a twenty five year warranty. My mattress recently failed. After a lot of back and forth I finally got them to send someone out to check out the mattress. They did find it to be failed. Serta then responded that they would order a new mattress. After quite a long wait they e-mailed me with release forms to sign in order to get my replacement mattress. I assumed that with the information from my original purchase that the comfort/firmness level of my mattress would be like my original. I was not given the choice to go to a local store and choose my mattress. I signed the release saying that there was no guarantee of replacement for comfort. I signed it feeling that it was a formality.

All the while I assumed it would be like the original. My husband's side of the bed had already failed and been replaced. His was just like the original so I had no reason to think mine would be any different. The mattress they sent me is horrible. It is like sleeping on concrete. I cannot even sleep a full night on it. It is really bad. After three e-mails to them I have had no resolve. Their respond is there is no comfort guarantee. They recommend I buy a mattress topper for my very expensive mattress. We paid $ 6000.00 for our complete bed set. This bed comes with a 25 year warranty. I don't recall the first replacement of my husband's side being told that you get whatever they send. I feel like this is unacceptable. I will never buy another Serta product of any kind. I will also tell everyone I know not to buy from Serta.

I purchased a Serta mattress Perfectsleeper Elite in January 2020. I only slept on it intermittently. Maybe totaling 2-3 months from March 2020 to June of 2021. I immediately noticed that in just a couple of days the side I slept on was starting to get uncomfortable from deep body impressions. From June 2021 until now (January of 2022) the mattress is sagging from head to toe straight down the middle so bad I roll into it and it literally takes effort to get out. And when I sleep on my side facing the middle of the bed my body tilts towards the middle twisting my lower back because it’s sagging so bad. I don’t sleep in the middle of the bed, only on the sides and I weigh between 110-115 lbs and sleep alone.

I bought a platform bed when I bought the mattress and I was told it would help prevent sagging as it got older. Apparently this is so very untrue. Had the pandemic not come along and I was able to stay at my home in another state, I would have found this out within the first couple of weeks of sleeping on it. I would have returned this crappy bed back so fast!!

I’m unfortunately stuck with an absolutely worthless, extremely uncomfortable and very painful mattress. I wake up with horrible back pain from my lower back twisting towards the sagging middle every time I sleep on this bed. Why would a $1400 mattress sag in the middle in just 6 full months of use? I don’t even sleep in that area? The sides I sleep on have deep indentations from where I do sleep which makes me have to switch to the other side of the bed every week. I have never slept on a mattress that is so uncomfortable. It’s supposed to be a soft plush yet firm mattress. Absolutely does not fit that description at all!!

After finally sleeping on it for a few weeks straight it started sagging. I even flipped it over and tried sleeping on the unpadded side. That side also started to get a deep sagging in the middle after only a couple weeks!! I however didn’t have the problem with leaving deep uncomfortable body impressions though. So, sleeping on the mattress for only a month I called to see if I could return it or get a replacement thinking it may have been defective. Since July 2021 I have spoken to 3 customer service representatives that were beyond rude and condescending. One woman actually went as far as saying this sounds like something you did to the mattress. (What could I possibly do to a mattress to cause it to sag after sleeping in it for a month? Even if I slept 2years in it I couldn’t cause a sag straight down the middle.) All 3 of the reps I spoke with provided terrible customer service and a we could care less attitude.

However, I’m sure they receive a large amount of calls from people that are extremely unsatisfied with their purchase. So? Most likely Serta could care less since they seem to have been selling uncomfortable poor quality mattresses for quite some time. If you haven’t purchased one yet? I suggest you don’t. I purchased a mattress at Goodwill for $20 as a teenager that now seems like a heavenly cloud in comparison. By far the most worthless purchase I have ever made!! Don’t buy unless you’re getting this for someone you absolutely hate.
