    We were looking for a new bed and were interested in looking at Sleep Number since we've seen commercials. The sales man was very nice and prompt. We tried all the beds, then we decided later on what we want to go with. We got the mattress and the pillows and we had it delivered to our door. We set it up ourselves and it was easy. The bed was really good.

    This was a most unpleasant experience for us. My wife could not sleep in the bed no matter what setting. We decided to return it after the initial 30 days. Not only do we have to pay $179.99 for the return but we also bought an extra remote for $50 and was told we could return that as well for a refund. We got a label in the mail that clearly states, "we've attached prepaid address label". Well we used that "prepaid" address label and took it to UPS but it cost us $10.00 to return that $50 remote! So much for prepaid! Now we're out $190.00 for a bed that we can't use. Not good customer service. We went to another place to purchase a new bed and they had free delivery and if we do not like this bed, it is free for them to pick up. I think I like them better and will recommend them to our friends. I would appreciate any help with this issue.

    My mother, Jamie, had a previous Sleep Number bed and loved it. She wanted another one so she got another Sleep Number mattress. The sales professionals were very professional and good. They followed up and made the purchasing easy. The delivery team was also very good. My aunt was there to take the purchase because I had to have mother in Jackson at a chemo. But my aunt said everything went very smoothly and the team was very nice. My mother loves the mattress and she sleeps better now. She’s not up roaming as much. It’s very good. I've slept on it twice and it's so comfortable. It's an excellent product and we enjoy it. Overall, it was a very nice experience. Everybody was very courteous, polite and sincere.

    Some friends of ours and I actually have been thinking about purchasing a Sleep Number bed for several years until finally, we made the purchase when we were at a home show in the Grand Rapids area. Their rep was phenomenal and she was extremely nice and that helped us make a decision that we were going to purchase. She's the manager at the store so when we go in, we just look for her if we're going to buy extra sheets. She was really awesome. However, the big fallback is the price and that’s why it took us a good five years to make the decision. We wanted to do something else but it was just too expensive. Nevertheless, we're satisfied.

    Sleep Number's product is great but their service sucks and it's horrible. I got their bed with the base that's up to $7,000, and chose it for the ability to adjust the bed and the sleep number. Although their sales guy was nice enough, there was no connection between the promises that he made as opposed to how things worked out when our item was delivered. The salesman overpromised and the operational side underdelivered. This was almost a year ago. They kept putting us off and also, there was supposed to be some sort of refund but that never happened. If you call their local rep, they don't care as they’ve made their money. That’s how they work.

    For the kind of money I spent, they could at least not play the "Oh, we’re so sorry" kind of thing and not do anything about it. That goes nowhere with me. Overall, the bed was good but they need to get off their butt and pay attention to business. They need to get their act together when it comes to what they say they are going to do and do it, and they should listen to their customers.

    I bought mattress and base from Sleep Number. The sales representative was really good. He took us through all the models, had us try things out and explained all the options and we were able to make a decision from there. Then we had it home delivered with setup. My husband was there and he said that it was quick and easy. We were really looking forward to getting that good quality bed. It would have been nice if it was a little less expensive, but I didn't think it was miserably overpriced. Now, we can both sleep in a bed for much longer period of time unlike before where I would get up because my back hurts. We're very happy with the bed and we like it very much.

    I have some issues with my back and I couldn't seem to find a mattress that would have the support I needed without the firmness. We then purchased a Sleep Number mattress and the base. The sales reps at Sleep Number were very helpful. They let us sample the Sleep Number and explained how the Sleep Number bed worked. They let us find out for ourselves what the bed was like. The delivery people didn't explain much of anything but they were efficient and very fast. It would have helped us if they had stuck around a little bit longer and explained things a little bit better, but we were fine. We had the instructions with it and we were able to understand better what it was they were trying to explain to us.

    Our Sleep Number bed has a good quality. There were times when the control does some weird things. I need to be on the mattress to take it from 100 to the number that I wanted. And, I discovered that when it's in the process of going down to the number of comfort that I wanted, and if I roll over and maybe lift my hips for split second, it makes that thing go wild. It even shuts down and doesn't do anything or the numbers just go up and down continuously, but the mattress doesn't do anything. Every couple of days, I run it back up to 100 and then sleep on it and run our numbers back to our comfort level, and I've learned that when I'm running the numbers down to just lay still. Before I start the countdown, I get in a comfortable position and then I hit the button and the numbers go down and I'm fine.

    We purchased a memory foam mattress topper to put on top of our Sleep Number bed to be able to get it to the comfort level that I needed. I could not get completely comfortable on the Sleep Number mattress, and we've had to switch sides because it was like I was hitting rock bottom on the side I had been sleeping on if I would run it down to 45, 40 or 35. I was hitting the foundation underneath. It hurt and I couldn't get comfortable. And when we switched sides, I can run the other side down to the same number and there's still air in there and doesn't feel like I'm hitting rock bottom. My husband calls it the marshmallow, which is the feel I have to have to keep my hips and back from hurting. Now, my husband sleeps on the side I used to sleep on and he has no problem with it.

    The sales rep from Sleep Number was nice, knowledgeable about the product, and wasn't pushy. However, the delivery was horrible. Two guys showed up and absolutely reeked of smoke and body odor, to the point that I had to air out my bedroom for 24 hours. Their stink hung out in there where they spent time setting up the bed. Additionally, the guy stole some electronics from my room. I called the store to tell them, but they ignored me and said, "Sorry, do you have any proof?" The girl at the store said the ones that did the delivery were contractors and don't actually work for Sleep Number, so they can't do anything about it. Then the salesman that helped me didn't even call me back. Somebody else said she would give him a message, but he never called back. But apart from that, I've had my Sleep Number for over a year now, and I'm pleased with it. I get better sleep and feel better in the morning.

    Sleep Number was recommended by my daughter and several of my friends. We went into the store at the mall and the woman there was very knowledgeable and excited about the product. She had us try out a whole bunch of different things and then there was one that was about to go on sale and she said it would be perfect for me. It was perfect and was exactly what we wanted. We bought the queen-sized bed that day. I also bought a Sleep Number pillow after. When we went back, there was a guy there who was also wonderful to deal with. The delivery guys were awesome. They were so efficient and left everything clean and perfect. It was all great.

    We love the bed. I had shoulder problems but they're gone since we had the Sleep Number. We’re getting older and as our aches and pains progress, it’s nice to be able to adjust our bed. We are happy with the quality and with our purchase. If we were to make the same decision again, we would. Now when we see on the TV where each side of the bed can be raised separately, we're thinking it might have to be our next purchase. It’s not just that we would recommend Sleep Number, we’ll buy again from them. The only problem we have now is when we moved, our movers reset our bed up. They did it instead of having Sleep Number come and do it, and the bed just squeaked ever since then. I don’t know what they could have possibly put together wrong but it’s almost like plastic rubbing against plastic.

    We have a different bed that we had for four years and we were already finding out that it slumps in the middle. We wanted something that would last so we didn’t have to buy a bed every few years, but we wanted to make sure that it was comfortable. I went to the Sleep Number store in Tysons Corner with my sister and the sales representative there was extremely nice. I asked a lot of questions and made sure that I was getting the most bang out of my buck, so we tested out literally every bed in the store. We never felt rushed by them and they were with us the entire time. When we bought the bed, the sales rep was like “Let me see if we could find any other discounts for you.” We ended up getting some free pillows priced at $100, so everything about the buying process was good.

    The part that we didn’t love was the installation of the bed. When the delivery people came, they said that they were coming one day, but they ended up not coming and they ended up coming at a different time. My fiancé had to call them which made things a little bit annoying. Also, we live on the fourth floor of a condo establishment and we have no elevator, but it's only two flights of stairs that they have to go up. They called us and asked if we have an elevator, and we said no. Because we didn’t have an elevator, they were saying how they couldn’t bring us the bed and how they would have to get somebody else to move it up the stairs. When they brought up the bed here and I saw that it was in a bunch of little pieces that just had to be unrolled, I thought it was insane.

    But from Sleep Number’s perspective, the ladies who called me and asked me the questions were very nice. The problem seemed like it was more on the moving company's side. Through all of that, Sleep Number gave us a discount on the bed and they also gave us the Sleep IQ for free. However, I'm not currently using the Sleep IQ because I didn’t reset it back up after we changed our last password, but I found it useful when I would have a really bad sleep and it would look up for me why I'm sleeping so badly.

    Another thing we didn't like was the price of the bed. We ended up buying the C4 and then we ended up buying a topper to go on it because that was a little bit cheaper than buying one of the more expensive beds. I have their sheets and I don’t like how expensive the sheets were for what I got. I don’t feel like they wash very well, so I won't be getting any sheets from them again if I need more of it. I also got the temperature control sheets because I sleep pretty hot. However, I still sleep pretty hot, so I don’t think it helps me with my issue. I was thinking about buying the heat controlled mattress out there, but that’s another $2,000.

    Overall if I were to recommend someone else to have a bed like mine, I would tell them to go to a different company especially after I found out after I purchased the bed that the company who makes the actual moving mattress base is not even Sleep Number. So I would tell them to piece a bed together from other places. The only other thing that really stands out is the 20-year warranty on the Sleep Number bed, which I don’t see many other companies have. On top of that, they only give you the 20-year warranty if you buy the mattress set. But I enjoy everything else about the bed, and my fiancé loves the bed also.

    I was having an issue with sleeping and Sleep Number has given me comfort. Their sales guy was informative and helpful. He walked us through everything and the delivery team put the mattress and base together. They were good and took an hour to assemble it. Operating the bed was easy, but ever since I've had it I sometimes find connectivity issues between my remote and to the unit. It sounds like one of my remotes always tries to sync. I haven't called because it's intermittent, but I do think it's a problem. The things right below my bed should always be connected and I don't know why sometimes they're not. Perhaps it's a faulty remote.

    The bed is high quality and I feel good about it, but Sleep Number overcharges for the bed and the custom frame. If they're going to charge that amount, they should throw in just it should be able to do top and bottom, not just the going up at the waist. That's a little high priced. Also, the mattresses are great but they charge a premium for that.

    My wife wanted a new bed and my favorite radio show was talking about Sleep Number then, so I thought I would give it try. I got their $12,000 bed which I got on sale for $8,000 with the wooden base around it, the adjustable clutch put together but separate at the top, the pillows and comforters. Their sales rep and their district boss who were there were very nice. It was already sold before we even walked in. It was the easiest sale the rep's ever done in his life. Before, I was indifferent with the bed but when I got an injury on my back before Christmas which I had serious issues with, I'm now able to sleep because of how I can adjust the bed. It was nice and I enjoy it much more now. Apart from its highway robbery with the sheets, everything else is great.

    I was switching beds every two years and I wanted to get a different bed. I got the Sleep Number with the adjustable frame but I might go back and get a softer mattress. I have no problem with the bed's quality but I'm not sleeping as good as I was in the beginning and I've already tried every number there is. I went back to the store a month ago and tried to see if I could upgrade the bed but my experience with their rep wasn't great at that time so I went somewhere else. I'm still looking but I'm not sure if I'm gonna go back to that store again.

    I have a bad back and I figured that it's more helpful to get a Sleep Number after going through mattress after mattress. And it is worth the investment as it made sleeping more comfortable. The linen, however, is too expensive for me. Their sales reps were knowledgeable and the delivery people were quick and efficient. They assembled the bed for me.

    I tried to get a more comfortable bed so I bought the Sleep Number. My wife and I both have acid reflux and tipping the bed up helps. Things are going good except that the left side has a slow leak. It can't maintain the pressure itself and I have to bring it up or down, and then back to the number.     I bought my bed on 8/13. For the past month I've had problems with it deflating. I went online and followed the suggestions. Bed was fine for about a week, and it started to malfunction again. Called Customer Service and was told I had to do the 'troubleshooting' or pay $179, and I would have to wait a WEEK to get anyone to come. Asked to speak to Supervisor (Izzy), who again told me what to do. I explained I am 68 years old with a bad back, but I agreed to do it because I didn't want to waste time. He gave me his 800 # to call him back today and tell him how the 'troubleshooting" went. My pump is not working! I called him TWICE and he has not bothered to call me back. In the meantime, I don't have a bed to sleep on because the pump is not keeping the air pressure on. I will be placing a complaint with the BBB and any other consumer agency I can think of!

    We were not impressed with the delivery guys. Although they did put the bed together quickly and efficiently, they literally gave us the brush off on how to operate the bed and kept telling us to call technical support. 2 months later and we are finding things out from our son as we ask. Now the bed itself we love. It's comfortable and the massage feature is exceptional at relaxing and helping you to fall asleep. Wake up in the middle of the night? No problem. Turn on the massage feature and be lulled back to sleep. Just hope that we will someday find the sleep setting that we need for comfort.

    A Sleep Number bed was bought when I was diagnosed with a chronic pain and fatigue syndrome. From the beginning, the mattress I sleep on began to shift on the frame when set below 60, causing a large gap at the head of the bed (my pillows fell into it between the mattress and head board) and to shift away from the other mattress.

    My health condition has become worse and to avoid intense physical pain, I have to set the mattress at 25. After only one night of sleep, the mattress moves as much as a foot from the frame. I have to fill the bed to 100, push it back into place, open the mattress top and rearrange the foam components, zip up the top and remake the bed with mattress pad and sheets. The physical strain of doing this plus the frustration I experience has made my sleep worse and my satisfaction with Sleep Number and its products plummet. A stop at the Sleep Number store resulted in a salesman telling me that it was a design flaw but nothing had been done to solve this problem.

    We have a Sleep Number queen-size mattress that we put on our old waterbed frame. The only bad thing about it is that one side seems to have a leak in it somewhere because we have to keep pumping every time to pump it back up. The reps keep saying they're gonna look in there and see what it is, but they haven't done that yet. Recently I got a single twin-size bed. When I have to do certain back exercises, I like that I pump up the bed to 100% instead of getting down on the floor because it's hard for me to get up. Then, I put it back down for when I need to go to sleep.

    We got the adjustable Sleep Number and me and my wife like it very much. My wife likes this mattress better, but I like our old mattress better as it feels like our old mattress supported me better. I wake up without any aches and pains so I can't complain about that, but it's little things like sitting on the bed to put on my shoes and the sides of the Sleep Number bed are just not as strong as the sides of the memory foam mattress that we had before. I either have to sit very far back or slide slowly off to the edge of the Sleep Number bed.

    Also, the memory foam has continuous cells without any pockets of air while the Sleep number has bigger cells. I don't know whether there's higher end Sleep Number models that have smaller sized air pockets than ours does but I don't find our bed now quite as comfortable as our old memory foam. We're trying to see whether putting memory foam on top might resolve some of the issues that I have with it, but we've been happy enough that we haven't tried to do anything else.

    One issue we've experienced is we've had a couple of times where the remotes have disconnected, but I was able to reconnect them. Another issue is that we bought a set of sheets that literally lasted about a week. We have the Sleep Number where the two beds are independent, and they have this weird sheet set that's fitted separately and they're really expensive too. My wife convinced me to get one set, saying we won't find anything else like it, but I bought a couple of very nice sets on Amazon that are separate twin fitted sheets and they work great. However, Sleep Number either refunded the money or replaced it, so that's fine. Other than those, it's worked quite well. Our respective Sleep Numbers are pretty different. Mine is 65 and my wife's is 35. It's great for couples that have that big difference in what they want in terms of the firmness or softness of the bed. We were also able to use our existing bed frame around it.

    I was looking for a bed due to arthritis pains in my hips and I needed something that would not give me aches. We bought M7 mattress which is the memory foam on top of the air mattress and so far, we have a great experience with it. Since having the bed, I felt less aches and pains with my hips. We've not had any problems to report to warranty but we've had friends that have had something go wrong with their Sleep Number and they have said that warranty issues are pretty easy and fine to deal with. Also, their sales reps and delivery crew were very nice and patient. We've also recommended this product to friends that are looking.

    My husband had a stroke five years ago and I like the idea of being able to adjust my own firmness so we bought the Sleep Number bed. We got the split king with the adjustability and it's holding up well. I'm happy with it. However, back in October, my husband had gotten a flu shot and a pneumonia shot in the same day which made him really sick and kind of confused in the head. So he had some accidents in the bed. I called customer service and they sent me what looked like a mattress shell. They said it will be a one-time deal. I haven't put it on our bed yet because I'm waiting to make sure he's going to be all right for a while before I do that.

    I also purchased a waterproof mattress cover and it did not keep that water from going through the shell of them, as in the mattress. They also sent me another mattress cover which I haven't put on yet. Just to protect myself, I went and bought a cheap plastic sheet and put it on the bed for that. But they didn't send me a new piece of foam because the foam got wet as well and dirty on to the air chamber.

    Sleep Number has always been pricey to try and at first I didn't care for the bed at all. It wasn't working out and I couldn't stay the night in it. Then after three months, when we visited a local store and tried to get another topper for it, they weren't really helpful, but they gave me the phone number to call. The first time I called I got somebody up in Portland. And the second time I called, it was from another store and the kid that I talked to was able to send me a topper and that made all the difference in the world. I love sleeping in it now. It's extremely comfortable. I think all those beds should probably come with that extra 2-inch pad.

    The salesperson that I purchased the bed from seemed halfway knowledgeable. When it was all said and done, she really did the best job. When I went back into the Sleep Number store, she had gone to somewhere else and the gal that was in there was extremely nice and helpful. She was the one that gave me the numbers to call. She also said, "Well, we need to go through your bed and describe it all to one of the professionals at your store and they can tell you to make sure that they didn't deliver the wrong padding for your bed." But I was pretty pissed on the additional $200 but the girl said, "No, no, no. We might be able to get that for you, but you should have called a long time ago and complained and it wouldn't have been an issue." When I talked to the kid on the phone, he said, "Don't worry about it. We can take care of it." Everybody was extremely nice and they took care of me. Overall, I'd recommend Sleep Number.

    I had lower back issues so I needed a new mattress. The Sleep Number sales reps sat me down and put me on a bed, and I bought one because I went in there several times before that. The delivery team was very quick. I just don’t understand the Sleep Number system itself, like how to adjust it for my own sleep to get it better. The sleep technology portion of it is not intuitive. Also, it was hard to get a good reading since my dog was trying to utilize it too. A program that would tell me to set my reading to this or that number for better sleep would probably increase its effectiveness. Plus the sheets tore right at the split, and those sheets were $300. For it to tear that easily, they could find a little improvement in it.

    I had a failed surgery and then I had to have a second surgery, and years ago I had broken ribs so to sleep was very difficult for me. Sleeping on the Sleep Number bed has really helped a lot. Before I got the Sleep Number bed I was very much in pain when I woke up in the morning because I wasn’t sleeping. I was tossing and turning all night. I couldn’t stand up straight and I had a difficult time walking. Now I get up and I still have pain, but it’s nothing close to what it was before this bed. I absolutely love it and I can’t stop bragging about it. If I go to bed and I have it set at my number and then there's one night that it doesn’t help, I change the number and find a comfortable one and then I’m off to sleep.

    The lady that I purchased the Sleep Number bed from was very nice and accommodating. The only thing was that the amount she quoted me was $2,000 more what I was quoted if I would have purchased the bed over the computer. When I went into the store, I asked her if there was a benefit for me to buy it in the store or on the computer, what the difference was as far as any maintenance or any repairs. What I was told was no because either way, I would have to go through the computer to get a maintenance person to come out. So there was no benefit for me to pay $2,000 more in the store than there was on the computer.

    She then lowered the price and told me that if I saw the hockey team down at the PPL Center in Allentown, I would be qualified to get another discount. I said, “I’ve seen them and I saw your advertisement, but I don’t think that should have any bearing on it. Why make these silly offers when you can just knock the price down where people can afford it?” My daughter and her husband are in desperate need of a Sleep Number bed as well, but they can’t afford it so I wish it would be more affordable.

    My boyfriend and I were having a lot of back pain, and so we figured we needed a new mattress. The rep asked us why we were looking at the Sleep Number and had us lie down on the test bed, figured out the appropriate Sleep Number for us, and showed us the pressure point thing. However, we decided that the bed was too expensive for us at the time and got a cheaper bed from another company, but it didn't work out. So we decided that we would spend a little bit of extra money to get a more well-known and genuine product. We also both have different preferences with how we liked our mattress, so we figured it would be easier to get something that we could customize for each of us. We managed to talk to the same sales rep the second time around and she was really helpful. The quality of the bed is great.

There was a fair number of people at the store, but we didn’t have to wait real long before someone came to help us. The guy showed us all the different models and had us try them all out and see which ones we like. My wife found one that she thought was the most comfortable of the bunch and it wasn’t even the most expensive one so she was happy with that. Delivery team set up the bed and they were great.     I have a lot of back and sleep problems so we got Sleep Number and everything was great. The sales lady told us about the bed and explained that everyone's settings are different, how we all learn to adjust to the settings and sometimes, we'll change them because our body changes. She gave us more information and gave some pamphlets to look at. I appreciated that they're honest. I would recommend my friend to go to the place we went to just because I've been there and I got to experience good people talking to me. There were also no major issues with the delivery. We cleared everything out for them, then they came in and had it set up in no time.

    I have no problems with the bed at all. We have an accessory to make the bed a little bit higher and it slides off a little bit, but it's not that big of a deal. We just push it back. And you can also stick a pillow at the top to make it more of a pillow top which the sales associate had recommended 'cause I was telling her that the bed was kind of low and we needed it higher and a bit more softer. So, we tried it and I'm glad we did. It was a great experience. I love it.

    We had seen Sleep Number commercials and my wife was particularly interested in the adjustability to where we could have two different zones so I could have my side and she could have her side. The sales professional showed us the features. At that point, we laid on it and made sure it was what we were anticipating. It's tough to really do that in just a limited amount of time. But after that, we decided to purchase the mattress and the base. However, the base didn't work so the delivery team had to come back, pick it up and return later on. It took a little bit of time to have the unit replaced. So, I talked to them about getting my money back. But of course, they wouldn't give it for it's the most expensive part of the whole unit. I was a little bit perturbed with the whole process.

    For what we paid for, I'm not sure I'm getting all the benefits for it. The products have good quality, and my wife likes it a whole lot. But we paid a lot of money for it and I don't see a big difference. I keep it on a very firm setting, which is typical of most mattresses. So, I'm probably not getting the same experience that someone like my wife, who keeps it on a very soft setting. She's able to really ratchet it down and really appreciate the soft setting.

    We went to the store and told the salespeople we were looking for a bed. They had the little demo beds set up and we tried them. We found our approximate sleep numbers and we were both very comfortable. The bed that we ended up purchasing was just coming in so a couple of the other sales reps were building it and they asked if we wanted to try it once it was built. We did and we liked it a lot so we bought that one. The delivery was fine and their guys had clearly built a large number of beds in the past. They were prompt, very quick and it was fun.     We've had our Sleep Number for a year now. And we are not satisfied with the way the chamber works and sometimes we have to reset it at least once a month. And when we reset it, it doesn't go back to the factory default. I sometimes spend an hour trying to do it and it's way inconvenient for us. My husband didn't like it but I'm partial. Sometimes I like it but I get so tired of adjusting it. Also with the plushness, after a while, it has a different feeling. It was not what we expected originally when we bought the bed.

    The one-time that we called the customer service, they weren't able to solve the problem because they're not there to help us out to make sure that everything was plugged in correctly and that we have to check the ring, and whether the hose is leaking. I prefer just to have a regular mattress that I don't have to deal with. I would not recommend Sleep Number and I will not buy another Sleep Number again.

    I had issues before with my back and the Sleep Number bed that I bought over 15 years ago worked good. It was a flat bed, and we got the whole setup. It came with everything at normal. And then we changed to the adjustable, then we got the mattresses and the adjustable base. This time we had it delivered. Their sales team and delivery crew were all good. Except for that one time when the salesman said that I couldn't set it up myself and to have somebody come out and do it. I thought he was wrong 'cause I work in mechanical stuff in my job and I was able to put together the first bed we got. It's not rocket science for me. But he made it sound like I was stupid and it did annoy me a little bit. Other than that, it's been pretty good, so far.

    My sleep experience has improved since we bought the California King size Sleep Number with two sides that are independently adjustable and with massage.     The sales representatives at Sleep Number were very pleasant and easy to deal with. They were very nice about trying to see that we were getting what we wanted to get. They let me and my daughter try the bed twice, and then my husband also came in and they had him try it to find his sleep number. They were very accommodating. Also, they did a good job in explaining the pricing. They approved me for the credit to buy the bed, but I wasn’t aware that I was applying for a credit card, but I took it out anyway and paid it back off within a month. We scheduled for a home delivery and the delivery guys came and set it up. They were very polite and professional, and they did a good job.

    My husband and I have not been able to find a sleep number that we can settle with. We will find one that feels very good for a while and then it starts feeling like our lower back is not getting enough support. And, we end up having to change our sleep number again. Perhaps, I did not listen closely to the reps at Sleep Number and also, I didn’t read the book closely. I don't know if I had something on the bed I could set where while I was sleeping, it would tell me what I did during my sleep and what I needed to do to change the sleep number to make me feel better in the morning or maybe sleep better during the night. Overall though, we got a very good bed. My husband is very happy with it and he sleeps more comfortably. If his back starts aching, we can raise it up to a 40 and then he feels better.

    I'm not very happy with my Sleep Number experience. In fact, I'm not even using the bed right now. No matter what I did, I couldn't find a comfortable number. Everybody said Sleep Number was the latest and greatest thing, but it's way overpriced. I paid $5,000 for it and I didn't have any idea that I won't get any enclosure. I can see all the wires and the cylinders and everything all around the bed. When I stand back, all I see is a mattress but I can look under the bed. If I want an enclosure to make it look like it's sitting on a platform, it's another $5,000.

    The bed is holding up well but I happened to purchase the one where the top will split. Either halves can sit up so I have to order special sheets for it. I want to wash them once a month so I need at least two or three and they're $400 a piece for a sheet. I'm flabbergasted with the whole thing and would not buy another one. If they had a 90-day return I would have took it. There are many other beds out there that I've had which were more comfortable.

    We had had a memory foam mattress before that was uncomfortable and so we wanted to try something different. We had an easy and excellent experience with the salespeople and they walked us through and gave us a chance to lay on the different options and get a feel for the available models. It was a great experience and the salespeople did a good job. Then we had a team come in and set the bed up and they were good. The bed is good quality but recently I noticed my side was losing air a little bit. I use the remote and keep mine on 65 and it said it was on 65 when I first picked it up but then I went to make an adjustment and it said it was on 40. Maybe it's just an error, but nonetheless, everything was good.

We looked at the three different styles of bed they had and we've picked the mid-range, seven-foot square California King mattress. The delivery team did a good job setting it up.     We loved our first Sleep Number bed and the whole experience, but the second time around has not been impressive. Our new i8 bed was delivered last night. The delivery people arrived 2 hours later than the latest time they had given us. We were given the impression by the salesperson when we bought the bed that we would get 2 remote controls. It only came with one. The delivery person told us that happens a lot. Customers are led to believe that they get 2 remotes, but that is not the case. The beds only come with one. If you want 2, you pay $49.99 plus shipping. At no time did the salesperson EVER mention this, even after we talked about how we were looking forward to having 2 remotes instead of the one old wired one we had with our old bed.

    Discussion about the remote and how many come with the bed should be a standard part of the sale. Also, when you're paying $3600 for a mattress, another $50 for a remote feels a lot like price gouging. The new mattress reeks! The chemical smell is so bad that I've had the bedroom windows open all day even though it's 25 degrees out. This makes the room smell better, but the actual mattress still reeks, so much so that we can't sleep on it without feeling sick.

    I've had a back pain for seven years which I got used to. But when I got Sleep Number, it felt like a nice bed and it has a pretty good design that goes up and down. In my other bed, sometimes the pain got so bad that I had to sleep on the carpet. When the bed was sold to me, the sales rep I talked to was nice, but wanted me to buy so many different things. And every time I had a question, they would ask the main manager. But then she came and helped too. And they were all pretty nice. The delivery guys also did pretty well in putting everything together. The only bad thing is that when summertime comes, the bed gets pretty hot. I also wish I can get the bed a little harder.

    The delivery team that put my Sleep Number bed together didn’t tell me that the frame was too small compared to the frame that I’d bought. I was sleeping at a slope and then I looked under the bed and saw the frame was not on the bedframe. It damaged the frame a little bit but I was able to fix it and I do like my Sleep Number bed, even though my fiancée doesn’t like it as much.

They're trying to give me option, like the firmness such as this one and that. They're being transparent with everything so I liked it. I ended up getting the C2 and a pillow. The delivery team was nice and I was expecting for them to set up the bed in an hour but it didn't take them too long to do it. They worked well and fast. They also knew the product very well because I asked some questions and I got good answers from them. It was a perfect experience overall and the quality of the bed is for a lifetime. It's worth it.

    I got the mattress and all the equipment that comes with it. The Sleep Number reps were all helpful in the store, but the guys who came and set the bed up didn't show me anything and were not helpful. My son-in-law has a Sleep Number and he had to show me how to use it. My hip would ache in the middle of the night with a regular mattress that was why I thought a Sleep Number might be the answer. Now that I've found the correct number, it's helping. I don't wake up at night with my hip hurting so we're making progress. The bed is a good investment.

    We liked that Sleep Number's firmness and softness can be adjustable. We got a king and its quality is very good. It has separate sides, and the feet and the sitting would lift up on its own. We bought some sheets and pillows, too, and had a good time purchasing them. The reps were accommodating when we were trying the different pillows.     We have the most recent Sleep Number. It's an upgrade for a previous Sleep Number that we had had for 10 years. We went in the store knowing what we wanted so we had an awesome experience. The sales reps were very helpful in showing us the different models and then helped us make our purchase. Then the delivery team was awesome. There was a little confusion as to the removal of the old Sleep Number and relocating it, but they were very generous, took care of it for us and put the old Sleep Number in my daughter’s room.

    The old bed was awesome and we were very happy with it but we wanted to upgrade. I like our new king-sized bed too and I like that it's adjustable. The only thing that I wish I hadn't done was purchase a split king because the one that’s on my husband’s side keeps moving a little bit and the two beds don’t stay together like we thought they should. So I wish I would've bought the king split where just the head was split. After a couple of days, we had to push the mattresses back together because there's a big gap in the middle. It's very frustrating. But other than that everything was good.

    I have three Sleep Number beds. I got a Grand King bed but I'm extremely disappointed that they cancelled the size. It's not on the website or in the catalog and that's the way it's been for the past five years. In case something ever happens to my bed, I don't know what I'm going to do. Then I got a twin bed and a full bed with dual chambers. I like that the dual chambers are zipped together and there wouldn't be that much of a difference that I would be able to feel in-between the two. I notice that a lot in my 15-year old Grand King bed because my air chambers had a piece of foam in-between them and there is not much shock absorbent in-between the two. If I move from one side of the bed to the other, there seems to be a sharp point there.

    My bed is lacking in a couple of areas. In the middle of my bed, it pulled apart and it's shredding. There are also hard plastic corner pieces that hold the foam into the corners and every so often I have to plop on it on the corner of my bed. But in the newer style, I've noticed that they improved it and the bottom of the mattress is a little thicker and seems to be more durable. They don't use the corner pieces anymore. It also has an extra piece of fabric that goes over the foam.

    The only problem I had with Sleep Number was with the credit for the beds. It was advertised for three years zero interest and for some reason, I didn't qualify for that. But I got another one that was a six month zero interest. Instead of spending more money with Sleep Number, I started buying a new comforter for my bed. I also ended up getting the beds that I need for my kids and I've been swamped. The beds are guaranteed but after five years they're pro-rated. It's not affecting the use of the bed but it's something I'm not happy about with a more than $5,000 bed. But, I've recommended it to people and they laughed at me because it is an expensive bed and I've explained that it has a 25 year warranty.

    I was in the market to get a new mattress and I read that Sleep Number is a good one so I bought the C2 and the base. I like the quality and it helps a lot, though I feel I need to adjust a little in the night. Their sales rep was nice and she found me what I was interested in getting and that's what I ended up getting. I also wasn't pressured to get anything I didn’t need to and it was definitely good. Then I had dropped it off in our home. I put it together and the assembly process wasn't bad.

    The delivery team was strange because it was UPS but the tracking number didn't have any clue when I would get it. That was very bizarre. I didn't know when I was going to get it until the day I got it. That seemed to be a UPS issue, not with Sleep Number. It was hard to plan because it was a giant package and it rained the day it came. Nevertheless, it was fine when I got it because it was inside a plastic.

    We liked that Sleep Number was adjustable, that you could change the firmness or lack thereof and that you could raise and lower the bed. The sales people at the showroom seem pretty knowledgeable and friendly. Then we had home delivery and they set it up. My husband was here for that. But I don't know if they knew what they were doing because the mattresses don't appear to be squarely on the base, which to my knowledge, they should be so you can't move it. And on mine, there's a two-inch overhang which I don't think is the way that it's supposed to be.

    We also ordered the base and sheets. They advertised that the sheets don't come off but if you do any adjusting of the bed, which I do every night when I read, it will pop off. The base of the bed is also awful. It sounds like a jackhammer anytime you raise or lower the bed on either side. We should have called in a long time ago but I don't know if there's somewhere I'm supposed to call. We tried calling in one time and I was on hold for like 45 minutes and got a hold of nobody. It made me a little bit impatient when I'm on hold so, I hung up and we've done nothing with it. The amount of money we spent was a little much for what we got. But other than the two things that I'm unsatisfied with, we're very satisfied with the bed. It is comfortable and we've slept better. And now that we've been through cold and flu season, it's nice that if you can't sleep, you can raise your head without having to prop pillows up.

    My husband snores, so we decided to purchase a Sleep Number bed, and it helps with the snoring a little bit, but not significantly. I like the firmness of the mattress and the ability to adjust it based on our need. It's comfortable. However, I do not like the space that is like a little hole in between our beds. It bothers us. We can't get as comfortable getting close to each other in that bed. I wish the design had some kind of an attachment that would fit in there when we are not elevating the bed. It could be made out of foam that we could put, and then that way, we can use regular sheets that are not necessarily just the sheets for this particular bed.

    Also, I wish we had the ability to warm up the bed for the winter. I hate to have more cables attached to my bed, but if the bed already had the ability to warm up in the same plug, then that would be a feature that I would love. Everything was good, though. The time that was agreed upon, the service, and the information were good. Moreover, the Sleep Number rep seemed knowledgeable enough.

    I needed to buy a new bed and didn't wanna spend any more money elsewhere. We walked in to the Sleep Number store off-the-street with no appointments, poked around, and saw the different options that were available. We had no idea of what anything cost or what we were looking for. We just knew that after all the reviews we read online about it, one buys this bed for 20 or 30 years and that's what we were going for.     We had our first Sleep Number bed for about 15 years. We went to the adjustable frame after my husband was diagnosed with Myasthenia gravis and bought a split king instead of a regular king for that reason. We've had that one for almost two years now. We scheduled a home delivery for the adjustable base and the split king mattress. The sales representatives were all great especially one guy who I usually try to talk to and he has always been very helpful.

We have a headboard and a footboard and I asked if I would be able to use those with the adjustable frame and they said "yes". The old guy who delivered was complaining saying that they weren't supposed to do that. He didn't seem to like having to do that but he did it anyway. Still, I love my Sleep Number Bed and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

    I have friends and family that have Sleep Number and I've already laid on theirs. I thought it was pretty good, it had a very good warranty, the people I knew that had them enjoyed them and I like the fact that I can adjust it. The salesperson was very outgoing, full of energy, and positive. He loves the product and knew a lot about it. So, he was very good about entertaining all of my questions. He filled all of that in a very professional satisfactory way so I was very pleased and purchased the basic C1. I set it up myself and it was totally simple as long as you follow the instructions and read them.

    However, I wasn't happy with the fact that if there's any stain or any mark on the top, then it voids the warranty. Also, all of the accessories are incredibly expensive and overpriced. But I'm fine with the product itself because of the 25-year warranty and I would only have to replace the mattress itself which is about $800 which is a lot for air mattress. But if they back it up the way they say, then I'm not gonna have a problem. I love the bed and I highly recommend it.

    I absolutely love my Sleep Number bed. I'm in a lot of pain when I go to bed, but not when I wake up. I got 1 in 2000 that lasted me for 14 years. I was in the hospital at that time and have had 7 back surgeries when my mother and my husband purchased the bed for me. That's when I fell in love with Sleep Number and I'll probably never sleep on anything but Sleep Number.     The bed that I had was old and needed to be replaced. I work 10 hours a day and had a constant shoulder pain and I was thinking I deserve to come from work feeling good and sleep good at night. So, I was walking through the mall one day and the saleslady took me through the total comfort that Sleep Number has to offer which was what I was looking for at that time. She was around my age so she could relate to the concerns that I had. She started with the basic bed, going up to the most expensive one. She told me about the ergonomics of it. It was worth the try. Then she said, "Oh, you don't really need any money down. Let's see if you could finance it. And it'll really be a smooth transition." She was very informative, nice, and courteous. I felt good when I left the store with my purchase.

    The delivery men were coming from Miami with several stops. They were very professional looking, courteous, kind, and knowledgeable. First thing in the morning, they gave me a heads up 30 minutes before they were due to get to my house. And they were probably within that 30 minutes, if not sooner. I also asked them what I had to do if I should move the bed and they explained all the features. If I had cash on me, I would have tipped them. Then I already had my bed frame and we just set the Sleep Number into it but it was way too low, so I ordered lifters later on. It didn't look anything like the mattress or the bed in the store.

    It's been a year since I had Sleep Number. I'm alone, and one side wears more than the other although the settings are the same. The whole bed is 40 but it doesn't feel like it on both sides. Also, I like to lay horizontal on the bed to read a book and that middle piece really annoys me. It has the potential to be a great bed, based on what our needs are. But I don't really like it and for the amount of money that I paid for, I was expecting more out of it. But I'm still remaining neutral because I really think it's designed for the senior citizens so it has a lifetime ability. I guess it'll get better with time but at this day and age, it's overrated.

When we were at the store, the Sleep Number sales professionals walked us through the store, let us try different versions of the mattress and showed us how it’s like when one goes from the most basic model up to the top. There are different features of their beds like heating and cooling. We ended up getting the mattress and had it delivered. The delivery team, composed of a couple of guys, also set up the bed from scratch for us. There’s a little bit of a frame to the mattress and they set this up. Then they rolled out the different types of layers. As for the quality of the product, it’s good. Overall it’s a great mattress.

    My wife sleeps very restlessly. We had different mattresses and no matter what, she just wasn't feeling comfortable. Also, we both have bad backs. She has scoliosis and I had a deteriorated L4 which caused my L5 to slip out. I was in this chronic pain, suffering badly. I was doing anything and everything, except surgery, muscle relaxers and painkillers. So that's why we went with Sleep Number. It's extremely expensive. We went with the queen size so it doesn't have the dual adjusting because that was another $1,000. We’re not gonna spend more than $2,400 and it's just one thing after the next and by the time we walked out of there, the price was $3,500.

    That price just doesn't make sense. The Sleep Number score that should help us find the best for us hasn't done anything. Also, when my wife and I are being intimate the bed is squeaky and wobbly. I'm just ready for it to collapse on me. Additionally, the warranty only covers the motor and the actual cover of the bed. Although, I love the aspect that my wife is being able to sleep with a softer mattress, which is all that really matters to me, and me being able to sleep with a firmer mattress. I think that's great. We also enjoy its ability to adjust.

    Our bed is 3 years old. We need a new cover because our zipper has broke. Called warranty Dept in December and got a quote for in the neighborhood of 220$. Just got off the phone with them and now's it 750$. Our warranty will only cover 20%. Regular 900$. For that price I could go out and buy a non Sleep Number bed. Will never deal with them again.

    I like the adjustment on Sleep Number bed. My husband and I bought a base and got pillows as a gift. Their sales representative showed us the goods. Then, we schedule a home delivery. The delivery crew was on time and they did a good job. My husband watched them during the set up so he could figure out how to do it. We had moved and set it up in the other bedroom. The bed is of perfect quality, except for its foam that turned off-color when we moved it. Other than that we really enjoyed it because it's really comfortable. We definitely recommend it. In fact, we told the pastor about it and he went and got one too. He got $100 by getting one. He thinks the Sleep Number bed is a pleasurable thing, too.

    We had a Sleep Number bed that was 25 years old but there was a big bubble in the middle of my husband's side of the bed. The bellows between the chamber may be leaked or broken. We were past any warranty and we figured it was okay. We came down to look for a mattress and the young woman who sold us the bed in the first place was delightful and she remembered us. Our experience with her was good and it was not a hard sale because we knew what we were looking for. Then the delivery team came and set it up and they were efficient and very pleasant young men. When we got the mattress, I also got a new pillow and I have been happy with it. It's a good firm pillow and it has that memory foam so it's not squished up all the time.

    My wife did a study on Sleep Number so when we went in the store, we already knew what we want. She did her homework on what she wanted, and what kind and size. But we somehow couldn't get it the first time. And then they called me back, and wrote me a letter saying they don't know why I was denied. I said, "I don't either." And then the rep said, "Just send me a letter saying if you could prove your income." So I sent them proof of my income and they gave the bed I wanted. We have the air condition bed, and every time there's lightning, it knocks the system out, and we have problem with the remote control for some reason. But the bed is great and we love it.

    I broke my arm and I was sleeping in a recliner for over 10 years. I kept telling my husband I couldn't sleep in the bed and I wanted a Sleep Number but he didn't want it so we didn't get one. Then one day he just decided we'd get one. The store reps gave us our time and didn't rush us. My husband thought he'd like it so we got one but he won't try to adjust it like he likes it. We got the king split and I adjust my side like I want it. When we first got it for about two nights, I would sleep quite a bit on the bed but I'd get in the recliner because I had to get to used to it since I had slept in a recliner for so long. If I had not, I would have insisted on getting it earlier. After that, I've been in the Sleep Number bed ever since. I really like it and I don't sleep in the recliner anymore.

    I have sleep apnea and sleeping at a slightly elevated posture even with the sleep apnea machine helps the way I sleep. The Sleep Number bed was the only bed that could separate the differences between the types of bed and it was something that my wife may use so we purchased one with the split elevation. It took a while to get the bed but the delivery team was quick and set everything up. They were polite and on time. The product was expensive but it would be nice if they had included a skirt frame for it as they're relatively inexpensive. I know because I wound up building one myself. I have no problem recommending the bed. This is the bed that I'm usually telling people about when I meet people who have the same condition I have.

    My husband and I tried out every bed and we couldn't agree on the firmness. We went to Sleep Number and it was just perfect. The sales lady was absolutely wonderful. The ceiling showed what number the bed was on and she adjusted it one at a time and let us pick. There was no rush. The staff knew their stuff and weren't pushy, but they were there to answer any question we had. The experience was better than anywhere else we went to look at regular type mattresses.

    The guys who delivered the product set it up for us and were great too. They did what they needed to do and showed me how the bed worked. They had our names programmed in the right sides. The bed is wonderful and I enjoy it. I like it really soft. I am disabled and have a terrible time getting out of bed so it's wonderful when I can pump it back up and make it really firm which eases my transition to get out of the bed. It has made my life so much better.

    We’ve had difficulty getting the mattress that we liked for many years. So when a couple of our friends got a Sleep Number and seemed to like it, we decided to get one as well. Their reps were very thorough but the purchasing process took three hours. It’s probably quicker to buy a car than buying a Sleep Number. But it's not entirely the salesman's fault because we couldn't decide so we went back and forth.

    We've now had the bed for less than a year and it's been alright, although it's already starting to get lumpy at the pillow top part. I have a deviated septum so I always lay on my right side because if I don’t, I can’t breathe. So I don’t move much during the night. It doesn’t hurt but I want to move and roll over but I just can’t. I have to keep my head in one direction. So I haven’t really decided which number would ease that discomfort I have. But that only happens after six hours of sleep. I've been disappointed in other mattresses a lot sooner but Sleep Number's excellent.

    Purchasing a Sleep Number was my husband’s idea because his parents had one and they liked it a lot. We went in the store and told the reps we were interested in a bed. They had us try out a couple of different ones, which was really nice. Usually we have a problem with stores like that because we look really young, but they took us seriously. Then I went back in and they gave us some stuff to help us move, those little plugs so that the bed wouldn't slide when we move it. The delivery team was pretty quick, in and out, and they were on time. I'd definitely recommend Sleep Number, and hopefully we'll have this bed for quite a long time.

    We actually had a Sleep Number initially in our bedroom, and then we decided to get one as well for the guest room. We've had the first one for three years now. In a couple of months now, we'll be finishing almost a year with the second one, and I'm still paying for it. But, unfortunately, we're not happy with either of them and will replace both of them. After we bought the one in the bedroom, we moved to California and after we came back there was a leak in it. In fact, I just ordered another mattress yesterday and they're going to replace that. As for the other one that we got for the guest room, ever since the beginning, we had to constantly reset the remote to factory setting because it gets stuck and doesn't work. It's been a horrible experience. I didn't expect to have the aggravation of buying a brand new piece and having this problem. I tried talking to the customer service reps once but it didn't work out.

    However, the sales professionals are obviously pretty good. They're trained and they sell the products well. There's nothing wrong with the people. It's just that the product is not good. I don't want to be going through this whole thing again so I've written it off as money wasted. Another thing they should change is the whole thing about the customer having to register their product for the warranty after buying it. The customer has bought the product and paid the money for it. Why do they have to register it?

    I wanted an adjustable bed where I could be comfortable because I have sleep apnea, so I decided to purchase a bed from Sleep Number. Since having the bed, it's rare for me to have sleeping issues. We bought from a store in Delaware and the salesperson had us try out a few beds and set them up with pillows. We found one that my wife and I both liked. Then, we went to the Sleep Number store in Dover to pick up extra sheets. A salesman explained that she was probably set up with the wrong pillow based on the type of bed that we had. Because we got the cool comfort covers for the pillows. But the covers didn’t still match the bed. It's a fairly firm material but they should have gotten us a softer pillow to accommodate extra firmness of that cover. The salesperson in here was surprised that the salesperson in Delaware didn't do that.

    Also, they didn't notify us of the legs that would come with the bed. So, later on, I had to go and buy different legs to accommodate that. All the showroom beds are short but the legs that come with the bed are much longer and they're rollers. The legs that came with the bed were different than what they had in the showroom. So, I had to buy the showroom legs in order to lower my bed so that my wife could crawl into bed, and it was an extra $160. I spent about $6,000 on the bed, and had I known that earlier, I would have asked, "Is there any way to swap them out now? So, I'm not paying for two sets of legs." But now I've got a set of legs up in my closet that I have no need for.

    I also spent $100 just for the pillows that my wife can't use with the sleep cover now. I love the bed but my wife doesn't. She sleeps on her side and it's not overly comfortable. The only real downside to it is, unfortunately if you have a low Sleep Number, when you go to sleep on your side, your side will almost hit the wooden board underneath it. Since it's filled up with air, you put all your weight down on your hips and your hips will sink in lower. But if she sleeps on her back, it's not an issue.

    We didn't go to Dover until a few months after and got a second pair of sheets. And that's when a salesperson told us, "Oh, no. Because you have that cover, you should have gotten this type of pillow instead." And it was like, "Now, we're outside of our return window and everything. Okay. Good to know." So, it is what it is. The sheets’ fitting is very loose so with where I have to sleep with my head up and I wake up in the morning, all the sheets have bundled up in the center. Every single night before I go to bed, I have to retighten the sheet or it crinkles in my back and the sides. My wife keeps hers perfectly flat and even then she still has to fit the sheets every single night. At a flat position, it should fit like a normal-fitted sheet, but it still doesn't. We've also tried washing them in warm or cold water and it still won’t fit unless they go and give us a custom set of sheets.

    The special sheets just don't fit the way I would like the normal sheets to fit. My wife was talking about a corner piece that has the under strap to it. She takes and puts it around the actual frame, but it still creates too much slack. I grab the full chunk and pull. We've done everything we can just to shrink it but it's just so excessive. We bought one set from Upstate Christiana and another one down in Dover and it's just the exact same issue. These are $350 worth of sheets, by the way. We have the protective cover in order to insure we have the warranty and then I've got a cool cover on top of that in order to try and keep the whole bed cool and I still got bundles of excess all throughout.

    But all in all I love the bed. My wife can elevate her head and legs, and I want my legs to be elevated but she doesn’t. In order for me to be elevated as high as I want to be, I have to elevate her which is unfair to her. I'm not able to elevate myself the way I would like to just so she can sleep the way she needs to sleep comfortably. We would have our Sleep Numbers, our own bed positions and everything but now I'm still having to compromise. Our sleep quality has more or less gotten better, but it's not the greatest for her being pregnant because again she wants to sleep on her side in order to be comfortable. So it becomes kind of an issue.

    One of the reasons we got the bed at that time was we were trying to get pregnant. They kept saying that it's great for that and I was thinking that she can elevate the top side and watch TV in bed and she could be comfortable. But they didn't tell us anything about, if you sleep on your side and you have a little Sleep Number, your hips are going to dig in to the wood. My wife’s belly sags and hurts on the side. She can't lay on her back and it’s not allowed for pregnant women. She said that where her belly ends up “getting pinched” from where everything dives down because she's now put all her weight onto her hip. That leaves a “pinch point” on the bed and everything goes into that “pinch point.”

    If she had a higher Sleep Number, it probably won't be an issue. I know there's a lot of negatives but compare to what we had before, it’s really an improvement. It's a very good bed and is worth the money but with the issues we've had, wherein we spent close to $7,000 with shipping and all the hassle, for beds that claim it can do all the things that it can, there's a lot of things Sleep Number clearly can't do. It's only since October that I've started to be able to use it on a nightly basis. But unfortunately, we purchased it and I think I spent maybe a week or two at home being able to actually try the bed before I was right back out somewhere.

    The issues happened after our return policy, so we can’t call to say that they need to make this right because we're outside the window. But because of my schedule in the military and what happened, there was no way for me to do that. Even if Sleep Number had called me all the way up to October last year, I wouldn't have been able to tell them anything. As far as I know, the bed is working great. It wasn't until I started using it consistently that I started noticing all these things.

    We had one of the original Sleep Number mattresses for almost 25 years and it was worn out so we got a replacement. This time, I got the motorized frame and the split bed. I'm disabled and in bed almost full time so I got the features that allow the head and foot to rise. I went to the local store without an appointment, and the sales rep was dealing with another client but he was extremely helpful to me. Then once that client left, he was very informative. I tried several beds and he pointed out the differences. I wasn't intending to buy the frame, but once I tried it, I decided to go with that, too. He also explained to me that I needed my custom-fitted sheets which were expensive so it ended up costing me a lot more than I had anticipated.

    During delivery, I went into another bedroom and laid down, and the two delivery guys took the old bed out, moved the new one in and set it all up. It didn't take them very long and they explained everything to me, so it went very smoothly. I'm pretty satisfied with the overall quality of the bed. I have such bad back problems and I keep trying to adjust the bed to remedy that. I lay on just one side of the bed, and it almost seems like it dips a little bit in the middle. If I move to one edge or the other, it seems like it's more firm. It seems strange because I don't think the air compartment would be that uneven. So it might be the covering that’s on it. I also noticed that there's quite a bit of a crack in between the two halves where the bed is split and things tend to fall in there.

    My wife was pregnant at the time. Some days she needed some firmness and some days, she needed really soft. So, we went with the Sleep Number because of its adjustability. However, I could feel the boards of the bed frame underneath at certain points, plus my wife couldn't get comfortable on it at all and it's not my particular bed type so we returned it after 30 days and we got refunded.

    We had a TempurPedic which we put in our guestroom. Then we wanted a king-sized bed with the split top so we got a Sleep Number. We kind of like the way that it was designed and we enjoyed it. With the split feature, one person can watch TV and the other doesn't have to. It can also have different heights during the night so it works out really well. It's a little expensive and I would enjoy it much more if it cost half of what it did but it is what it is. We got it at the Downtown Summerlin branch where the sales rep wasn't pushy. She was informative, knowledgeable and it was a pleasure working with her. Also, the delivery team was great. It didn't take them that long but they were good. They put the bed together in half hour to forty five minutes max and explained it to me. It's a good quality bed and overall I had an excellent experience.
