We bought a very expensive Sealy mattress. It was nice and firm and comfortable for about a year. The issue isn’t the sagging. Because of the nature of the mattress, it continues to sink when someone sleeps on it. Like quicksand. There is no visible sagging when no one is on it so the company won’t replace it. It wasn’t supposed to suck you down, only contour to your body. The company won’t even talk to you if you don’t have a warranty started with photos proving a sag issue. It’s a density issue and a pain issue. Now I have a useless expensive guest bed.

In April 2017, my husband and I spent over $1800 on a Sealy king mattress and box springs from Sears. In less than 3 months we could notice a decrease in support, which is getting worse with time. There are noticeable deep sags in the mattress - not just typical body impressions. One can easily see the curvature of the mattress where the sides curve upwards, with severe sagging in the middle. The depressions are noticeable to the eye even with the sheets, blanket and comforter on. This defective mattress is affecting our sleep, our lives, and our relationship! Between the 2 of us, we are experiencing night-time back and leg cramps, lack of a good nights sleep, repeated awakenings during the night, the feeling of falling into an abyss in the mattress and feeling trapped, and back and chest pain.

We have resorted to one of us sleeping on the couch and the other on the twin guest bed. Again, this is not just normal body impressions from sleeping on a mattress day after day, week after week, month after month and year after year. This is a total lack of support after less than 3 months! This is unacceptable and I am surprised someone has not yet filed a class-action suit against Sealy! I have filed a complaint with Sears and will see where that goes. I am willing to bet I get no satisfactory resolution or restitution with Sears OR Sealy.

On December 2, 2016, I purchased a Sealy Posturepedic Mattress and box frame from Ashley Furniture. Within three months the mattress started to sag. The sad thing was I am only sleeping in the bed every other week. After having them out to evaluate the mattress and being told I needed to add more support on the bedframe I still continued to have the sagging mattress issue. They sent another technician out and determined that the bed was defective and gave me a credit for the mattress in May, 2017. It was within two months that the mattress started to sag again.

In August I sent the paperwork in and after a couple of attempts of sending the papers in I finally had a technician out on October 23 and the mattress was sagging 1-5/8 inches. Once again I am offered a credit. I do not want to purchase another product from Ashley and more importantly I will not buy another Sealy product. I have a message into Harold the Director of Customer Service to get my money back. A mattress should not sag after just a couple of months!

Purchased a new Sealy Hidden Lake mattress about 2 months ago. By the 3rd night, it was sagging so badly on my side, I start rolling off onto the floor. Contacted Sealy, and they dumped it back on Ashley Furniture. Ashley sucks, so I have not tried to fight with them over it. I wish I had not let my wife talk me into going back there. And I will never buy another Sealy product.

Purchased a mattress topper from this company about a month ago. After giving the topper a couple days to expand to the full size indicated in the box I noticed the edges the top and bottom did not expand much at all, was nearly flat. If you've ever purchased one of these tippers, you'll know once they start to expand there is no way it's ever going back into the original box. Anyway so I contacted the vendor regarding this issue since the product comes with a limited warranty and this particular issue is covered under the warranty. On the first day I contacted Tempur-Pedic and after the rep I was speaking to consulted with her coworkers. I was told it's not a warranty issue and to take it back to the store for another one and that perhaps I got a bad one from the shelf.

Well I refused to take it back and explained to the rep this is covered by the warranty AND this was the last one on the shelf I shouldn't have to drive all over town trying to replace something that is covered by a warranty. The rep indicated she completely understood and agreed that it should be covered by the warranty but she's not in the warranty dept but those in the warranty dept are telling her it is not a warranty issue. She then proceeds to inform me she is meeting with her manager later that day and would discuss the issue with him and call me back later the next day. Well she called me back the next day and indicated her manager said it is not a warranty issue either. At this point it became very apparent to me that this company is potentially scamming customers on the down low but refusing to honor the warranty.

I indicated to the representative that I would be filing a complaint with the BBB. Upon filing the complaint with the BBB the vendor eventually responded indicating if the item is defective I could submit a claim with the warranty dept. However at this point and 2 phone calls later I have very little faith that when I call this issue will be handled to my satisfaction. I spent over $300 for this topper and less than a week it was obviously defective and they did Not want to resolve the issue (allegedly) until I contacted BBB. No thank you l, it should not be this difficult for an item that is clearly defective. I will not do business with companies nor people that respond like this. I work hard for my money and will not spend with people who practice bad business habits. I will jam it back into the box and return it to the store. BUYER BEWARE OF SEALY TEMPUR-PEDIC.

We have always had Sealy Posturepedic mattresses (4 in 50 years). Our current king set is about 6 years old, and has been sagging in the middle for about 2 years. We have had the furniture store where we bought it out 3 times, according to them this is normal wear. The "sags" have to be 1/2 inch depressions before anything will be done, if this is true, shame on Sealy for such shoddy workmanship. We will never buy another Sealy set again.

Me and my girlfriend bought adjustable base from a furniture company about four years ago and just recently bought a kitten that we have grown to love very much. On 09/15/2017 my girlfriend went home to find our cat crushed between the part that raises the mattress and the frame of the base. We are extremely upset not to mention the unforgettable mental picture the my girlfriend can't get out of her head of our dead cat. We are trying to figure out is to why such a huge company like Sealy that made the base had not put in effort in making it a safer product to put into homes. I thank God that it was not one of our kids and it could still very well have done the same cause I have felt the pressure and weight just by using my wrist for testing it.

There needs to be a safety switch of some sort on it to where if there is any resistance when going down that it stops and returns to upright position until object is removed. If it had a safety feature like that our cat would still be here. Also we had to call the furniture company just to find out the manufacture of the base cause there were no stickers or labeling on the base where there should at least be a secure warning label on the base in which the company failed to do so. I am contacting an attorney cause I have called Sealy several times and have gotten nowhere doing so. This needs to be dealt with before this happens again or worsens by being a person or a child. People may say, "O it was just a cat move on." But that's not the way we feel. Ya she's a cat but also family because our kids also suffer from this and have also been upset and cry still. It's sad.

A year ago we purchased a king-size Sealy Posturepedic - Leola Firm Euro Pillowtop from Sears. It was about $1500 for the mattress and box springs, but in a few short months we seem to a hard-packed ridge that developed down the middle of the bed. It is so uncomfortable that I need to sleep on the sofa for relief. I've researched online and have found MANY people with the same problem. It seems to me that this type of pillow top doesn't really hold up well and should be discontinued so consumers are not cheated out of a good night's sleep EVERY night! The sales person was an elderly lady who never mentioned the problem could develop.

The advice online is to beat the hump a couple of times a week, but we're older and really don't feel we should have to do such a thing. I think I will see if we can remove the pillow-top ourselves, then add our own padding. An extra expense, yes, but a possible solution. Can't afford ANOTHER NEW MATTRESS. Will never get another pillow top type and will warn others.

We have not had a good night sleep since day one on our Sealy Seafront Luxury Firm mattress. You sink into the mattress soon after you lay in it which I did not notice on the showroom model. We wake up in the middle of the night from the heat generated from this mattress. And you feel like you have to climb out of a sinkhole to get out of it. My husband and I have experienced pain since the first night, back and/or chest pain, waking up to numb arms. I wish that I had done my research before purchasing. Buyer beware. I will never buy another Sealy mattress or ever buy anything from Slumberland furniture.

I was going to contact Sealy but after reading these reviews I'm wondering if I should waste my time. But I feel obligated to so I'm sure that I will. Slumberland asked if I wanted to buy their mattress protection bag. I responded that I could probably find it less expensive at Walmart and passed. Even though that was a perfect opportunity for Brandon, the Mattoon, IL Slumberland sales rep, to let me know that my satisfaction guarantee with them was void if I did not buy the bag from them but he did not tell me.

So, it appears that we just have to take the loss which we really can't afford but you can't really put a price on a good night sleep. We haven't been functioning well due to the back pain. My husband who rarely misses work and rarely goes to the doctor missed work yesterday and went to the doctor for his chest and back pain. I don't even feel like I can give this brand new piece of garbage mattress to anyone else. What a waste! Would rate zero stars if it were an option.

I bought a Sealy mattress about 3 years ago for my son. About 2 weeks ago I called Ashley Furniture in Thatcher AZ where I purchased it. They sent out some guys to look at the sagging and weak spot where he sleeps. They took pics and left. They called back and said warranty would not cover it because it had a stain at bottom corner of bed where it got dirty from moving. I emailed Sealy and they said same thing but their own warranty says if it was not a direct abuse that it was covered. So how can a stain at very bottom corner of bed affect the middle of bed and make it sag... just their excuse for poor quality and even poorer quality in customer service. I would never buy from them again after spending 1000 to last 3 years.

At 8 months pregnant I am now sleeping on the floor because the warranty would not cover a new boxspring or mattress and I was advised to prevent any further damages to the mattress I should place it on the floor. To top it all off the service man left both the mattress & boxspring leaning against the wall with my 2 toddlers running around so I had to move it myself. Thank you Sealy for ripping off a pregnant woman hundreds of dollars and sacrificing her well being so you can stuff your greedy pockets with our hard earned money, and not honoring your warranty.

I purchased a Sealy Cahill Firm mattress and box spring in May 2015 and it is like sleeping on a rock which I love. The mattress is still as firm as the day I bought it (from Macy's). It is a full size. I have no complaints about this one and had no issues with sagging. However, I then purchased in December of 2016 an Indulgence queen size pillow top mattress and box spring from Bob's. That mattress has sunk so bad after a year that I told Bob's it is like a sink hole! They apologized and told me to come pick a new one and they will exchange it for me. I did today but now I'm second guessing the pillow top as I'm afraid it may sag like the first one. My Sealy is not a pillow top. I only weigh 125 pounds, so I shouldn't have a "sink hole" in the mattress. I have to give Bob's kudos for the no problem return!

I bought a Sealy Mattress on black Friday. It was their super sale mattress. It was on sale for 699 king size. When we tried the mattress in store it felt great so we went with it. It felt good for maybe a month before we notice it was leaving an indentation and sagging. I thought maybe it was normal to leave a minor one but now 7 months later the bed is so bad that I have been in nonstop pain for 3 weeks. It's to the point I'm counting down the minutes till my new bed comes in. I can not even lay in this bed to watch tv for 5 min. The aches already start. It's absolutely horrible. If I could give it a 0 star I would. Biggest waste of money I have ever spent 8 months for a mattress??? They should be ashamed.

I didn't even bother to call customer service. After I spoke with the store they said they need 1.5 inch indent in the mattress to claim the warranty. In my opinion I do not understand why the mattress has to be stuck at 1.5 inches lower permanently. Just because it may not show it when you look at it does not mean it doesn't sag even more then 1.5 when you lay in it . Where's the Logic? Now I'm buying a memory foam mattress on Amazon for 300 bucks that has great reviews. Hoping for it to help the pain I now have due to Sealy! Not worth it.

DITTO on the other complaints! $1300.00 for a mattress with unreachable warranty value. Now getting a new one but not until I jumped through their hoops to do it. My biggest resentment is that they have to BUILD a mattress for me (Sealy extra firm) and the warehouse is in Los Angeles when we are in San Diego. Macy's has the mattress in stock but they won't reimburse them to get to me quickly. So I have to wait another 6 weeks to get a good mattress to sleep on.

The biggest thing making me fume is having to pay $140 for delivery. We cannot get to LA to pick up and bring ourselves so no other way to get it. They make money and I lose again. I WOULD NOT BUY A SEALY MATTRESS again and will continue to return them when they sag... REALLY!!! Why can't we just go back to mattresses we turned now and then. I slept just fine on them!!! Numerous calls and two technicians during six months span, they came up with various ridicule excuses each time in order to decline its 10-year warranty. $1500 is no big deal, but this Sealy brand is almost criminal in terms of hurting human beings' back and want to get away with it shamelessly; it should go bankrupt and hence stop hurting people, the sooner the better. My wife and I purchased the Sealy Hybrid Mattress in the spring of 2014 and for about two years, the mattress was very good. Then we started having back problems which took us quite a while to figure out that it was the foam in the mattress breaking down. Finally, we slept in our guest room for a few days and our back pain went away, realizing it was broken down foam in the mattress causing the pain.

Sealy’s warranty policy is measuring sag with a string drawn across the mattress with no one on the bed and it has to sag 1 ½ inches for a warranty issue. No foam mattress without weight on it is going to sag that much, mostly because the cover is heavy and drawn tight, so it won't show any sag. Now if I take a bowling ball and set it where I have been sleeping and then set in the middle of the bed, there is about a 2” difference in how much the ball sinks in. It is very apparent that the foam is breaking down. In my opinion, after talking with a lot different people about my defective mattress is that foam mattress that cannot be flipped and rotated just are not going to last long and Sealy sets a warranty policy that will make it so they don't have to ever replace it. Being that the Hybrid is a high end premium mattress with a 10-year warranty it is very disappointing that I spent a lot of money for a mattress that is now useless!

After talking with Levin where I purchased the mattress and Sealy customer service, multiple times over a 2-month period, all I got was that the mattress was not bad enough to get any warranty and call us back in 6 months and try again. Also, Levin's store manager was terrible with follow up and usually took days to call me back, or I would have to call him back multiple times, always leaving a message and then wait for a call. What I have learned most is to NEVER buy a Sealy product, that Levin Mattress was good until I needed help with defective product and do not buy a mattress that cannot be flipped and rotated.

Unfortunately Sealy has some predetermined sinking guidelines of 1.5", the problem is the warranty serviceperson who I paid to measure my mattress was working against me, measuring on top of bunched fabric that offers no support and is not part of the actual mattress. They keep denying me service, and they told me to basically suffer another year until I get below a couple inches in sagging. They actually want their customers suffering instead of making things right. Unbelievable. My family and I were always lifelong Sealy customers, but not anymore.

I will pursue this matter further with the BBB, consumer protection agency and attorney general as necessary. According to the rest of their reviews in here, this is a common business practice for them! Also - Mattress Firm said they had to cut ties with Sealy because their Sealy brands had a tremendous amount of customer complaints and issues. Bernie and Phyl's sent out a service tech who submitted a claim for the 2 to be replaced and they were. About 6 months ago one of the bases started to lose sync with the remote. You can guess that we were not happy as I would need to climb out of the bed. Yes, I said climb because it was not flat and would resync it. This happened a few times and eventually it stopped syncing all together and later died. I called in a repair prior to the 1 year warranty ending and Bernie and Phyl's sent a tech who said the control box was gone and that the part would take 4-6 weeks to come in. 4 weeks with no call I contacted Bernie and Phyl's, didn't hear from them but I did from a Sealy rep, left her name on my phone.

I called and was told they did not know who she was but the notes state they needed my email. So I gave it to them. 2 weeks passed and I contacted Bernie and Phyl's again... and again this woman Debra called and left a message that she needed more information. She also emailed me. So I responded with all the grief we have been thru with this bed. My boyfriend has lots of aches and pains and we needed a good bed. So we paid approx 7k for the mattress and bases and we are laying flat. He will use his side when I am not in bed but it is uncomfortable as he lays at a tilt. Debra forwarded my email to someone else in her dept as I requested the beds be replaced and or my warranty extended.

Daniel emailed me, asked me to explain what I have been going thru. Needless to say I was not happy to once again have to explain myself. So I copied and pasted the email communication from Debra. I also told him I was not a tech and they should get the info from Bernie and Phyl's. He told me that they don't obtain information from outside vendors. Said we could schedule with him a week out and his tech would bring two control boxes and power cords to replace. They would call me 1 business day before coming out. That was last Friday. Today is when they are coming and have not heard from them. I called, their office is closed. I need to make arrangements for my day as we both work out of the house full time. Is the tech coming? Will my bed be fixed? I am not happy and I advised Sealy on multiple times of this, their customer service and product are not very good.

I took my time and the use of my truck and took the mattress to the store to save the 50.00 fee they were going to charge me to bring me another mattress. They replaced it with another. On February 28th 2017 The second mattress had a 2" swag in it too. Ok this Is enough! They said bring them the 2nd mattress back, again my use of my time and my truck to save that 50.00 fee and they'll give me another mattress. This is the 3rd one in 6 months!!! When is this gonna stop? How many am I gonna have to go through to get a good quality mattress? I have bought a few in my life and I have never been thru this. I would like to have this resolved!! We bought our Swan Valley Firm mattress 6 years ago after a fire. We previously had a Spring Air which was wonderful. This mattress was comfortable in the beginning. However, there has been an indent developing for a little while now in the middle. Me and my hubby are average weight. It has progressively gotten worse to the point we can no longer use the mattress. The entire middle is sagging in and the coils are basically popping out the sides. My hubby complains every day that his neck and back hurt due to this mattress.

I believe it would still be under the warranty but unfortunately I cannot find my receipt and do not remember where I purchased it. Also the tag with serial number needs to be attached which mine somehow ripped off possibly when I moved 6 months ago. I was very disappointed that I had to go out and purchase another one and everyone knows how expensive they are. I went out and purchased a Tempur-Pedic brand for over $2k. I figured might as well spend the money and get a quality mattress that will last this time instead of this garbage!

I'm thankful that Big Lots has offered to exchange the mattress and box spring for another brand at no extra cost to me. I just have to bring both the mattress and box spring in myself. There is no support. I tried to file a warranty but it was denied because the indentation at this point with nothing on it is approx one-half inch. I cannot believe they would not replace it with a new one. I am now sleeping in a chair most of the time. I would never recommend a Sealy brand mattress to anyone. I purchased a King Anniversary Set from Mattress Direct, North Myrtle Beach on June 18, 2016, delivered June 20, 2016. I had upcoming cervical and lumbar surgeries scheduled for July and November 2016. Within the first few months I noticed the mattress was sagging, even though I did the correct turning of the mattress. I contacted the sales rep in November after my lumbar surgery and told her it was increasingly uncomfortable and I felt like I was trying to roll/climb out of a hole. Her response was "May you should have gone up a few levels and spent more money". Seriously, I spent $1,200.00 on this set. I'm divorced, have college tuition to pay and have been on disability twice since the purchase.

I stopped sleeping on this mattress in late November and opted for my son's mattress which is 13 years old (he's away) and it was far more comfortable than the Sealy mattress. She said that she would come out and inspect mattress and as of today she had not done so. I sent an email to Sealy hoping for some resolution. I received an email back within a short time, apologizing for my discomfort and issues with the local dealer, however a "Warranty Claim" had to be filed by the local dealer in order for Sealy to do anything!!!

So, I called today and spoke with a different person and explained my problem. He was very nice and apologetic (I deal with customers daily in my job so he was doing everything by the book for good customer service when dealing with an upset person) and asked me to do the string test. He said to go across the mattress in the deepest impression part with the string and measure. If it was 1 1/2" deep then they would put in a warranty claim. I did as he asked and it was 7/8" deep. I reminded him that no one has slept in this mattress since the middle of November and asked how long this warranty is good for. He stated 10 years.

So I asked that if in a few months after I try and start sleeping on this mattress the indentation measures 1 1/2" then I can call and start a claim, he responded yes!!! We will see. I am just very frustrated with this expensive purchase and just wish I would have read reviews prior to my purchase because I never would have purchased a Sealy or gone to Mattress Direct period.

We did not review their return policy which is ridiculous. Anyhow, we ordered two pillows which came out to $156.00. When we received the pillows they were not extra firm at all, so we decided to return them. Not only did we find out that we had to pay to send them back but they also charge a restock fee of 10-25%. Returning the two boxes through UPS costs us $30 and now we don't know how much more will be deducted. Do yourself a favor and don't order online unless you're absolutely sure of the product. This mattress started sagging immediately, but because I had a Sealy Luxury Firm mattress for 10 yrs before purchasing this one and because it was about $1000 I thought I was crazy. My parents came to visit and I gave them the master suite. The first thing my mother said when she got up the next morning was how the mattress threw her and my father together and they couldn't get away from each other all night! I went in to Sears to complain because it comes with a 10 yr warranty, and they handed me the Sealy 1-800 number. Yup, you guessed it. Went through the same thing as everyone who has written a complaint. Made me pull the mattress off the box spring to ensure it wasn't the box spring, measure the dip in the mattress, send the label pics, etc.

They indicated the mattress had to sag 2 and a half inches and it was sagging 2 and 1/4! I did not receive anything at the time of purchase in terms of the warranty except the 3 X 5 warranty piece of paper. I would submit that if it sags at all they should take it back. My original mattress, that I hauled back down from the spare room to sleep on because I couldn't get any sleep on the new one, has been wonderful. I'm going to be stuck with this $1000 mattress because it has been up in the spare room for 3.5 years now with no one sleeping on it, so it is never going to sag that other quarter inch. This is such a scam! I'm also going to contact the Better Business Bureau. I told Sears they need to stop carrying them and putting the customer in the middle to solve these issues with the company. Fat chance of that.

After two years my boyfriend and I are miserable sleeping on this mattress. The sides are sagging but the middle is not so you have two low spots. On top of it the memory foam top is hot. We live in Phoenix and in the summertime it is the worse. I had a regular mattress with a pillow top (not memory foam) for 10 years and never had an issue with it. I have a couple of choices. To replace it, I purchased the Sealy Kingston, foam top, springs underneath, paying an additional $400 on top of the $1,200 I already paid for the first mattress. Within four months the middle sunk so badly that I can barely sleep on it. However, the $1,000 plus are still on my credit card. I read the warranty and card, and yes, it says they will not cover sinkage in the middle. The edge of the mattress where I climb into bed is actually buckling. So here I am, after having replaced a mattress that lasted me 10 years to one that lasted six lousy months.

Sealy, you should be ashamed of such poor quality product. I have no recourse other to try and fix the mess. Yesterday, I took a quilt, folded it into a square, and put it in the middle of the bed to even it out. Sleep is such an important part of our body's health, and now I'm stuck with junk and a credit card bill. Recently, I stayed at a hotel that had such a comfortable bed I didn't want to leave.

February 23, 2013, I purchased what I expected to be the answer to a good night sleep. Having back problems this was the reason I had bought this mattress in the first place because of my trust in your products. After 1 1/2 years my back started to bother me and I waited until I had slept in other beds before I made any rash decisions about the mattress. I called to have Levin's where I bought the mattress come examine the mattress which was exacting 2 years old. It had sunk by over 1". I got the usually reply call back in 6 months. 9/23/2016 I again called Levin's. The inspector said it was more than 1 1/4" but not quite 1 1/2". And you know the story. It doesn't seem to matter that I have to roll out of bed each morning from being stiff with a mattress that is not supporting my back properly.

I am 77 years old and on a fixed income so the supposedly $1,300 mattress which was on sale for $699 in my opinion is only worth the sales price. I think this is bad business practice on the part of Sealy Mattress Company and would hope that any mattress would last more than 2 years when it has a 10 year warranty if you can even count on that. I sure would not recommend Sealy to anyone. You take your money right away but are slow in servicing your customers.

I have been waking up in the middle of the night screaming in nerve pain because it sags so much. And I am a poor grad student, and spent 1,000 dollars on it hoping it would be good for my back. I have started sleeping on the floor, couch, air mattresses--all more comfortable than Sealy's Posturepedic. That really should be illegal for false advertising. I feel swindled. NEVER AGAIN. I wrote this review just so that people know and don't make the same mistake I made. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! BUY something better quality and 1/20th the price. I hate Sealy's for making a crappy posturepedic that does jack. It is sagging SOOOO much--a couple inches down the middle.

I purchased a Sealy mattress in 2013. After 3 months, I noticed the mattress sagging in the torso area on both sides. I contacted the store it was purchased at (Ashley Furniture) and on multiple occasions they came out to measure. The last measurement was over an inch on both sides. Sealy's standard for defectiveness is 1 and 1/2 inches. I don't know about you but an inch of sagging is major and I wake up sore everyday. We paid quite a bit for the mattress and expected more than what we received. I contacted Sealy directly and asked if I could speak with a manager or store representative and was basically told they don't receive or return calls unless the defect is over 1 1/2 inches. After this experience, I would never buy another Sealy product nor recommend. PLEASE BEWARE AND STAY CLEAR OF SEALY.

Purchased and Received our Sealy Posturepedic Mattress in April of 15'. After 2 months we noticed the bed was becoming uncomfortable and didn't know why. We turned it, waited a bit, turned again... eventually just dealt with it. After 1 year we got so sick of it and actually looked at the mattress and noticed how lumpy it looked and decided to research our options. I Measured the bed between 1- 1 1/2 inches throughout the bed so did a warranty claim figuring after a year and with our combined weights (my wife and I) of about 300 lbs, they would probably do the right thing in terms of customer service and help us out. I was way wrong!

The tech measured it at its most at 1 3/8 inches (barely under the 1 1/2 obviously), and said, "There is something going on with this bed for sure but I can't help you since you didn't get to the 1 1/2". It doesn't matter how old, how much you weigh, the fact that when we received it the bed appeared to have a lump in it already (was told it was from sitting on the truck and that would go away). The whole thing seems insane to me that they won't or can't help someone out and do the right thing in the name of customer satisfaction. Very disappointing and the more I review the more I see a lot of people have had similar situations as me!

Never, ever buy a Sealy. They do not stand by their product, yet they will happily take your money and give you the run around when you have legitimate complaint that is "under warranty". Bought a mattress, foundation, protective cover from them initially. Mattress was turned every 6 months as suggested. After 1 year, the mattress develops two deep pits where my husband and I sleep, and a mountain down the middle of the mattress, the space between our sleeping positions. This has created horrible, horrible back pain, neck pain, sleep disturbance, headaches... the whole shebang of things you look to escape from with a quality mattress which Sealy IS NOT. Just read all of these reviews... they become redundant.

Is THERE a LAWYER in the HOUSE? Listen, don't bother with the 10 year warranty-you'll only get the same or similar crappy Sealy mattress. They insist on paperwork and photos. Charge YOU $50 dollars for an inspection fee and then CHARGE YOU to remove it. If there is a stain, forget everything, you're SOL. Our mattress caves in on each side by 1 inch. The mattress is only 3 years old (we just kept rotating it hoping it would become better, never did). It must cave in 1.5 to be considered for replacement. Replacement would be a CRAP SEALY anyway. But, Sealy bigwigs, just so you know, when there is a ditch in your bed without laying on it, the ditch gets considerably bigger when you do lay on it. Simple physics. Ours is like rolling up a hill when trying to move to the middle, or we're hanging on for dear life to not fall off when sleeping more towards the edge.

This is by far the worst mattress we have ever had. Wishing I held onto my old Stearns and Foster 8+ years of the most excellent sleep. Do not buy SEALY, ever. We are getting rid of ours before it steals another day of living from us - Yes, premature death can happen from **LACK OF SLEEP, BODY ACHES and PAINS and it sounds like they have many chemical "smell" complaints as well.** Sinister corporation - buyer be smart!

Sealy Mattress offers limited warranty of 10 years. Be careful, the trim/edge is NOT covered. I bought a King size Sealy (S&F Brand) mattress some years ago and after I moved it from one location to another, a long portion of the trim/edge got loosen from one trim end. I contacted Sealy and was told that if the trim/edge got loosen in the first few days after buying, Sealy might offer reparation/exchange. It was claimed that if the trim/edge had defect from manufacturing, the problem would show up in a few days. This claim does not make sense: the mattress was in bag for protection and the trim/edge would not be touched often. At the end of trim/edge, some kind of anti loosening technique should be applied to prevent loosening. If there is no such measure, in future, if the trim/edge somehow is touched/contacted with hand or carpet, the trim/edge will begin loosening from the end.

This is the case I encountered. I bought another Queen size mattress at the same time as the King size one, it has no problem at all. So, my idea is: if you do not want to see similar situation on your mattress, you should try loosening the trim/edge to check whether it is well done or not once it is out of the package. If it gets loosen, contact the retailer or Sealy IMMEDIATELY.

There is no reason why it should sink - I don't weigh more than 130 lbs. Unfortunately, the store I purchased it from is going bankrupt. I have attempted to contact Sealy directly, and they don't care. They will not respond to any message I leave. Sealy has horrible mattresses - I now wake up with excruciating headaches from pain in my neck, as well as pain in my lower back and my legs. The middle of the bed is fine since neither of us sleep there, but it's majorly indented on both sides where we sleep. It's like trying to climb out of a hole when we turn over or move. It's lost its original shape and form only after a couple months. We both wake up sore and have a hard time getting comfortable at night. This bed is definitely not worth the money we paid for it. The pillow top does not hold up! There is a big hump in the center. My back was hurting within the month of purchase. There are 13 two and one half inch sturdy wooden boards supporting our solid wood bed which was purchased just prior to the new mattress & box spring set. I am so tired of not getting a good nights sleep.

We saved our money to purchase this new mattress. I have read a bunch of reviews indicating so many customers are disappointed with their Sealy mattresses. The stitching was all crooked right from the start and now it is pulling out. My husband does not care to make trouble, but this seems so unfair. It is extremely inconvenient to organize a claim; most likely what they hope for. I almost feel that the company and its' manufacturing procedures should be investigated.

Another thing I do not like about this set (different from our previous set) you can not flip it over and it does not have handles on the side to help move mattress from top to foot of bed.

I have purchased a big boy Sealy Pillow Top top of the line Posturepedic Mattress from Raymour and Flanigan. The reason for this purchase was I'm on disability and have back issues. I've chosen a Sealy product because of their reputation and their 10 yrs warranty. As time went on I was constantly waking up with worse back problems. We turn the mattress every week but still haven't made a difference. My Dr suggested to have my mattress changed for this mattress was contributing to more back issues.

Well I have a 10 yr warranty on the mattress and called Sealy and told them what has happened. They set up an appt for a tech to come out and inspect to find out that when they measured it had an 1 and a little impression of wear even though I pointed out the hump in the center. Sealy told me unless it's a 1 and a half impression there was nothing they could do and also spoken with the manager at Raymour and Flanigan who recommended to send another tech out to my home to reinspect it to find the same results. Also it was a suggestion of his that I shake the pillow top since it goes flat. LMAO. If I had a better back maybe I could do that but why should I even have to attempt it?

Spoke with Sealy again today and was very disappointed that they would only cover a replacement mattress if the impression was an inch and a half and mine measure an inch and a little but wouldn't take into acct. Also that the middle is humped and that is also what is contributing in my back issues. I feel Sealy just follow their stupid guidelines and not being able to satisfy the consumer. Every situation is different and should not be followed with a guideline. Consumers please be aware don't be fooled by warranty from Sealy because once you pay for your mattress they want nothing to do with you. I would never recommend to anyone to buy from this company. Their customer service is nasty to deal with and is not willing to work with you. I hope my experience helps you to make your best choice possible.

They were refused and a 3rd set of mattresses sent out. They measured 77". I called the Sealy mattress manufacturer and was told that the size variation was 1/2" to 1". So I went back to the sales room and told them that I wanted mattresses made by another manufacturer. They agreed and sent out 2 more Simmons mattresses. When they arrived I measured the first one. Extremely deceptive business - BEWARE! I purchased queen Florena Fields set in 11-15. I made sure to get the Posturepedic as an upgraded mattress like I purchased decades ago and was so happy with. It immediately had sink hole where I slept. Also had extreme gas offing for over a week; had to leave window wide open in middle of winter. It made me sick and dizzy. I called the factory and was told no chemicals were used for fire retardant; rather the material was fire retardant.

I purchased from The Furniture Mart and actually they were willing to work with me even though I didn't have a guarantee; however they are 1.5 hours from my home and I wasn't able to get up there and also knew there wasn't anything else I saw I liked. Sleeping on this bed is like being in an oven. I have spent over $1000 purchasing different bedding attempting to reduce how hot I now sleep. I haven't had a comfortable night sleep in five months - true story. I finally purchased a new mattress from a local store and decided to cut open this Sealy to see what really it is made of compared with the specs. Not to any surprise, it wasn't as advertised! I had talked with the factory before purchasing it and the rep at the store looked the actual specs up on the computer; I have a copy of the specs including the height of each layer and what each layer is supposed to be.

When I cut it open, I found the foam layers were not as many or as high as advertised. The foam is the cheapest crappiest product imaginable. I cut out about an inch of each layer and when I hold them in between my fingers at one time, and compress, ALL of the layers quickly compress to 1/2 inch!!! Yes that's right. Hmm, wonder why I've been having trouble. This mattress is a cushion firm. So when anywhere I lay or sit compresses down to 1/2 inch, the rest of the layers around my body stay up the a few inches to the sides of me; no wonder why I've been blazing hot. This mattress has always felt like sleeping on a lumpy couch or a futon or a slab of rubber. I was so desperate for a good night sleep the other day, I actually turned it over and slept on the bottom side that is not supposed to be slept on. Sad thing is I did get some better sleep but still super uncomfortable due to that layer feeling like a cot.

I also found for example the top layer which was supposed to be 2" was only 1" and the other layers were all under the measurement they were supposed to be. Apparently, I'm guessing, they are able to call something that is 75% of a measurement the upward measurement such as 3/4 of an inch being called an inch. I pulled from a spot that hasn't had any weight on it. Each of the layers each were 75% of what it was supposed to be. And again I want to be clear it is the cheapest poly foam imaginable. The advertised "core support layer of gel memory foam" consists of just over a 1/4 inch of very light foam; it's all a deception. I got taken. And I actually price matched and paid a lot less than most do for this set, but I still feel completely taken.

I was going to pass it to son and his girlfriend when my new mattress from the local store (different business) arrives, but I just don't think I can do that to them. This is absolute garbage! I attempted a warranty claim last week before cutting into the mattress and didn't get any reply via email after I filled out a warranty claim online; took me over half hour to do so because I included photos of receipt, label, body impressions, etc. I wanted to write and let people know there's more going on here and it's deceptive practices. I'm guessing the floor models may be made a lot better than the ones they pound out when someone purchases. I have suffered horribly for the last five months due to this garbage mattress. I hope my review helps others in their purchasing (or not!).

It seems the company just wants to throw in the cheapest crappiest material possible to meet legal tagging or advertising (although they missed it in this case) and they really don't care about making a quality product for the customer. And The Furniture Mart shouldn't sell items like this. I recommend dealing locally and knowing for sure what is supposed to be in the mattress and avoiding the major known names that we all purchased our mattresses from twenty years ago when they were awesome. I would have given zero stars if I could have.

Please see my photos. The littles piece is what they call the "gel memory foam in the core support layer"!!! The four pieces are all the layers in the bed including the little piece in the 'core center'; I have them all compressed in my fingers in the next photos; without exerting pressure; merely closing my fingers together; atrocious. This has taken away from the quality of my life in many ways including not good sleep and purchasing much bedding attempting to be cooler, for a long time and it continues to take time out of my life such as writing this review; doing photos. etc. Because the practices are so egregious to me, I will continue.

Now they are telling me it states on the booklet that came with the mattress unless I have their box spring and frame there is no warranty. Unreal that you are required to read their booklet after the purchase. Like buying a house and find out on moving day you have to pay extra for the foundation. Really???

One of my friends feels it is a used mattress. I strongly feel this is not the same mattress as I tested in store. VERY SAD that you can no longer trust a name brand or a small business. This give small business a bad name. Take the money as fast as possible and leave the consumer hanging. These lasted in almost perfect shape for nearly 20 years, until the queen set began to show signs of sagging. In July of 2015, we bought a Sealy Dover Place gel coil set from a local branch of a nationally known furniture store. Several problems have arisen with this set, beginning within the first 3 to 4 months.

My husband began having respiratory problems, possibly due to an allergy or sensitivity to something within the mattress. This has continued to this day. There has also been sagging on both sides, even though I can't believe that our weight(s) can be a cause (120# and 165#). In addition, the mattress is uncomfortably hot, even with a bedroom temperature of 68 degrees. We don't believe any of the above would qualify us for a valid claim, so we will take the $1200 loss, and hope that The Sleep Factory (now in Montrose, CO) still has old fashioned, double-sided mattresses for sale!

At about 4 months and 1 week, the mattress failed. One side had no support anymore, and the other side wasn't much better. There is a middle support under the bed. The way they decide if the mattress has failed is to run a string across it to see if the middle dips down more than 1.5". The frame had nothing to do with sagging as the box spring was and is completely flat and supported. I have pictures of everything. The mattress is only 6 months in use and none said anything when they came to set it up. PS the frame supported the previous mattress and boxspring for the previous 30 years which was a Sealy from Sleepy's.

We purchased a king size Sterns & Foster bed December 2014. We were told that with the warranty if anything was wrong with it, it would be replaced. Seven months later - the right side of the mattress doesn't hold its firmness anymore - to the point you could slide off if too close to the edge. We started the claim process - after having someone come out to inspect (measure - indents even though that wasn't our complaint) we were told our mattress has "normal" wear. We tried to explain what the issue was - no one at Sterns & Foster would listen. So we are paying $3,000 for a mattress that is broken & they do not stand behind their product to replace. Never again will we purchase a Sterns & Foster!

The warranty was voided because I have an Ethan Allen white Oak bed frame with 5 equally spaced oak slats without a center post. The customer service of both Mattress Firm and Sealy say that this voids the warranty. The mattress is less than 2 years old and has no stains and nothing other than this to void the warranty.

This is a defective product. I would encourage you to look at other complaints that show the location at which these mattresses fail, all are roughly the same spot. I paid for an inspector to come out and check if this mattress was defective. The inspector even went on to say that he would expedite the claim based on the severity of the problem. The company that did the inspection was called Precise Mattress Inspection. Delay delivery -- I bought the mattress at 27 Dec 2014, and it postponed the delivery until 30 Jan 2015. First night after slept on it, myself and my husband felt back pain because of feeling sinking and sagging. We went to the shop again and told the sales that we faced these problems, but we were being ignored. We kept telling different people of Sealy that the mattress made our back feeling painful, then a technical guy came to my home and did the checking. He came at 16 Feb. His findings were: 1. serious sinking and sagging, 2. uneven surface in between left and right side. Then he promised us to give us a solution, but until today, 27 Feb 2015, we got nothing about feedback from that guy or the company.

The mattress has been in my home for 27 days, and is being used for 20 days because we went out for trip for a week's time. For this 20 days usage, the mattress' height is changed expectly from 30 cm to 27 cm right now, with the condition that myself and my husband are within normal body weight, which is 50 kg and 77 kg respectively.

Sealy refused the claim because of stains on the mattress. I admit to the stains. I have severe night sweats and used the mattress pad that Leon's furniture was selling. I bought 2. First no one Leon's told me that your warranty would be null and void for stains. The mattress pads they sold me had an under pad of plastic to keep the moisture away from the mattress. Some mornings I woke up laying in a puddle. I remove the pad stains. Should not void a warranty.

I purchased a mattress set in August 2014. Had to wait 4 weeks for delivery, J.C. Penney's sales Rep. told me they had to make the mattress after order. I later was told by more than one Customer service and Shipping Dept. Supervisors that this was incorrect. I received the Set On 9/19/2014. Within 1 week it started sagging heavily. I weigh 130 Lbs. Called Penney's...they had no explanation but ordered a replacement set. Another month+ goes by and 10/28/2014 my replacement set is delivered. Within 2 weeks I started noticing that my body was leaning toward the edge of the bed. I am Handicapped and have Spinal damage, so I am again In Pain and cannot sleep properly. I actually had to place a 2+ inch book under the headboard of my bed to not roll to the edge. I was sleeping in a 4" inch pothole. I finally got Penney's to return the mattress and now it is 2/09/2015. Today my refund in check is in my hand. Never again.

Sealy 800 mattress bought from J. Lewis, UK, in July 2014, after recommendation from in house experts. After a month of use geltex aka foam collapsed, causing indentations and offering zero support. Lower back started, each morning after restless nights. Mattress offers no support, and in my view is a flawed concept and unfit for purpose. Two inspections carried out. One independent, but I have not seen report. Pretty certain Sealy did not approve so instructed, paid FIRA, a pseudo independent furniture inspection company. One of FIRA's bold claims to its clients is that nearly all cases are resolved, i.e. they rule in favour of the supplier, not consumer. Therefore not independent! Or in short, a industry tool to prevent complaints escalating to compensation.

UK customers please be aware of this racket. Consumer groups currently tackling FIRA. Please also be aware of Sealy, all these complaints are genuine, and the UK will see more and more of this as the Sealy industrial machine looks to cash in on UK expansion. I say avoid. Credible alternatives are Hypnos and Relyon. Sealy's customer service is also appalling. This is a quick buck company, that cares little about after sales. Luckily bought through J. lewis, who do gave a sense of fair play, as highlighted by their recent ads, we care campaign.

This is a threefold complaint but I will for the purposes of this account first address one major issue. I purchased a Sealy Posturepedic mattress from Sears Roebuck through their on-line store. I researched my needs, I have fibromyalgia, hypertension, require spinal surgery and am disabled. I took receipt of the mattress 1-28-15. Covered it with a bug infestation barrier and retired. The next day, I awoke and sat on the edge of the bed. The side of the mattress collapsed into a hole and I felt springs? I had a Sealy before and knew the side should not have formed a pocket.

I called Sears 1-29-15. I discussed the problem with a rep. but the next level of complaint dept. was closed. I called back, 1-30-15. Sears rep. refused to exchange or refund or pick up the defective mattress. They tell me I have to contact Sealy for a warranty claim. To make matters worse, they said that I would have to use the mattress thirty days before I could file a claim. Falsity involved somewhere with gross misrepresentation at the retailer's level. The product is not as described in Sears' advertisement.

Well I just got off the phone with JC Penney customer service regarding the return of my 2nd Sealy mattress set in the last 6 months due to excessive sagging from sleeping in it which is odd because I only weigh 160lbs. I was told that the first bed that was sagging almost 2 1/2 inches at seven months of use was most likely a manufacturer defect or caused in delivery and that it is their "best selling bed". So they talked me into replacing it with the firmer version of the same bed only to have the same thing start happening within 10 days.

Well it's 5 months later and the amount of pain is ridiculous, and time missed at work as a result could pay for the bed outright. I really wanted JCP to do a full refund but they are making me exchange it or get something else which will cost me more money to get something worth owning and I could have gotten a better bed for less locally. I will never purchase another Sealy product again! At least JCP is not totally screwing me and allowing an exchange unlike some of these other folks. Lesson learned.

He required to be alone in our bedroom, weird but true. His findings was that it didn't meet the required decompression to qualify as defective but after another 6 months I could file another claim and by then it will probably qualify. It continued to get worse. I called to have another inspection done and was quickly told "the warranty was only good for 1 year". I advised it says 10 years on the mattress. The lady said "you purchased it as a friends and employer program and because you got such a great price the warranty was only for the 1 year". It did no good to discuss further. I asked for the manager and she quickly stated "I am the one who handles these matters and that is the final decision". It's horrible and we have got to buy another but never Sealy.

I should never have purchased online! What was I thinking? (That I'd save a couple hundred dollars on a reputable brand.) I have a hard time believing Sealy would put their label on what was delivered. The "box springs" was 3/4" lower on one side in the center than on the corners (not on the bunched up fabric, which will make the real difference even greater), and almost as much of a difference on the other side. (My partner is in construction and we noticed the severely warped wood immediately.)

And the box springs has a cheap, cheap, cheap "reverse side" that doesn't appear to be constructed for sleeping on - so there'll never be any turning of the mattress. Worst, the mattress cover on the "good side" had a pleat in the fabric 3/4 of the way across from one side, just above where one's waist would be - not comfortable looking, by any means.

I'm in shock and had no idea that this Sealy ("name brand") product would be so shoddy. And now I find out: no refunds! What?! It's still in the plastic, but they won't take it back, will only replace it with something that should be better - I hope. Or of course, I could send them hundreds of dollars more for an "upgrade." So distressed.. I just wrote Sealy to ask if they really gave permission for their name to be on this product.

The price of the pad (inflated never the less) was our insurance to be able to return the mattress if we did not like it. We then chose the Augusta 2KP. At this point the sales agent reminded us that we were not able to return it if we were not satisfied.

Well after having slept on it for only a week or so we noticed the sag from where we were sleeping. We are not large people. 145 to 200 lbs per side should not leave permanent dents in the mattress. That was a complete waste of $1,999.97 of our hard earned money. Oh and did I mention this was during The Brick's 50% mattress sale. Not only will we never shop at The Brick again nor will we ever buy or encourage anyone to buy a Sealy product.

I owned a comparable Sealy about 10 years ago and liked it. As was said in the first post, the mattress I received was nothing like the one in the showroom and the springs seem to be at all different elevations. I called Sears immediately and within a few days, they brought a replacement, but of course, it was maybe slightly better. The mattress is the worst I've slept on anywhere. My girlfriend and I are having extreme pain in our necks and backs, and sometimes numbness in arms and legs. I'm saving some cash to get a new one, but dread having to sleep on this junk that we paid way too much for until I can replace it. Even as I'm typing this on my tablet in bed, I'm experiencing the numbness in one arm.

I'll admit I could've hassled Sears a lot more than I did, but not sure if that would get me a mattress I can use. Wish I would've read reviews online before I purchased, because it looks like the same thing happened to a lot of others as well. A mattress isn't the most complicated thing to design/build, which makes me think Sealy must have real problems in their production facilities. Obviously, I won't be buying a Sealy and it won't be from Sears ever again.

Not sure if it helps to write up a complaint on this site except it may save someone else a lot of money and frustration. Mattress checked again nearly a year later, still not enough failure to qualify for a replacement and another $50 down the drain. I feel like the old lady who throws the tire through the window except the mattress is too heavy to do that. Perhaps I'll just dump it at Mattress Discounter's door and leave. Depressions are deeper but not the required 1 1/2". Of course measured without any weight on the mattress. I cannot be convinced that the "memory foam" layer does not compensate for the failure and prevent an accurate measurement.

I wouldn't accept a Sealy replacement anyway. Guess we threw away $1700, including taxes and will have to mattress-shop all over again. Not something to look forward to. We are not big people and there is no reason this should be happening. I contacted the store where we purchased it and they sent out a technician to look at the mattress. He stated that there needs to be at least 1 inch sag for the warranty to kick in. He put a string across the mattress one side to the other then pressed down on the mattress where the mattress is sagging. He then waited a short time and measured from the string to the top of the mattress. Really! This is their test?

If he just placed his hand lightly on the mattress he would have seen that the sag on our mattress is close to three inches. He reported that the sag was 1 inch. We are talking of an inch! Unbelievable!! When I tried to contest this I was told I could file another claim in six months. So we have to live with a mattress that is compressed and causing us to have poor sleep. Sealy does not honor their 10 year warranty on a $2,000 bed. They use the "any product found to be in an unreasonably unsanitary condition" clause to refuse my honest claim of faulty mattress. This bed has been covered by a waterproof mattress protector since it was purchased by me in 2008, brand new. There is slight superficial discoloration from the mattress protector lining. When I say slight, I mean that only the top fibers are barely discolored. After a class action lawsuit Sealy defined "Unreasonably Unsanitary" as having stains so bad that they would pose a health risk for anyone inspecting the mattress.

I would be willing to have this mattress examined by a forensic team to prove that no liquid has ever touched this mattress. Let me tell you how sealy determined that their poor quality mattress failed - and it did fail. They do not dispute the premature breakdown of their product. This $2,000 mattress has 2 deep body indentions with a 4 inch ridge separating my wife and myself when we sleep.

Step 1 - Go online to report my claim to sealy. They require that I measure the indentions by laying a broom handle across the bed and measure the distance of the gap where the bed sags below the broomstick. Done. Submit the web claim. 2. Call sealy the following day to confirm they received my claim. Nope. They experienced "website difficulties." 3. They emailed me a claim form and asked me to email my claim back to them. In the instructions that they emailed, it clearly states that they do not accept email claims. 4. Repeat measuring body indentions, taking photos, and preparing all documentation, including original receipt, which I have. 5. Submit claim via email. 6. Call and complain that their website claim system is down, that they verbally requested an email claim, and the instructions emailed to me clearly state that email claims are not accepted. 7. Sealy assures me verbally that they will honor the email claim process, and will respond. 8. 2 weeks later, Sealy responds and tells me they must send an inspector to my house. But they have an 8 hour window and cannot offer a specific appointment time. I work full time, so this is a problem. I get them to commit to a 4 hour window after 12pm.

    9. On inspection day, the inspector shows up at 10 am. I am not home. The agreement was noon or later. Fail by Sealy. I am outraged. I call customer service to complain. They apologize and offer to send a different inspector who will be instructed to call 1 day in advance of the agreed upon inspection day to narrow down the time to be at my house. This was the only process sealy followed through on. And it was a non-Sealy inspector. So technically Sealy had no part in this success. The bed was inspected by an independent inspector.

    10. I was with the inspector at all times and had a pleasant conversation - we talked about life and beds. He made no comments about an "unreasonably unsanitary condition". He took many many many pictures. The bed is clearly multiple inches deep with body depressions. The ridge in the center of the bed is inches taller than the normal side of the bed. This is a no brainer, common sense, manufacturer defect on a $2,000 pillow top bed. 11. The independent inspector said to wait two weeks for a response from sealy but "don't hold your breath".

    12. I received a letter from Sealy. They proceeded to tell me, and I quote: "Sealy takes great pride in the quality of our products, and appreciate hearing from consumers who are experiencing an issue of any nature. We have carefully reviewed all of the documents and have made a determination from the information provided. The soiled areas indicated on the inspection report would contribute to premature breakdown of your mattress. When liquids of any kind are absorbed into your mattress, it causes the materials inside to prematurely breakdown and compress. The warranty card that came attached to your sleep set clearly states, "Any product found to be in an Unreasonably Unsanitary Condition, Is Not Covered under this warranty." For this reason we cannot offer you an exchange on your sleep set. Please contact our office toll free at 1-800-697-3259 if we can be of assistance in the future." End of letter.

    13. At no time did sealy test for liquid damage. At no time did sealy check for absorbed liquid. At no time did anyone determine while inspecting the bed, and in the presence of the bed, that it was "Unreasonably Unsanitary". I asked the inspector. He said it was fine. The inspector said this!!!!! 14. Remember, this bed has been covered by a waterproof mattress protector since the day I got it. 15. Sealy does not stand by their faulty product and you should not do business with them. I looked up other cases and even found a class action lawsuit against Sealy for the same exact thing at **.

Do not buy SEALY PRODUCTS, or Stearns & Foster, or Optimum. Sealy does not stand by their warranty. Sealy does not care about the consumer with a legitimate claim. I will tell everyone I know about this corporate abuse and consumer warranty fraud. Save your money and time, avoid Sealy at all costs. I am in the market for a new bed, I'm out $2,000, and I have defective product that is still under warranty that Sealy rejects by falsely claiming a legal technical term excuses their blatant customer abuse. I would be happy to provide all documentation to anyone who needs proof.

I am a college educated business owner and am appalled at the dishonest business practice of this company. This is the reason American made products get a bad rap. They make sealy in Brenham, Texas. I am a lifelong and native Texan. I am ashamed that this company claims Texas ties at all. They do not represent Texas or even American values like honesty, trust, commitment to do the right thing, honor written agreements, stand by your product. The $2,000 Sealy pillow top bed is crap and so is the company attitude toward honoring their 10 year warranty. Do not buy Sealy. Tell everyone you know.

I called Havertys' and they did the string measurement test and took pictures on 10/24/12 and then again on 11/21/12. I was told the sagging wasn't bad enough to warrant any action. The no-load test is totally inadequate. When even a small amount of weight is applied to the mattress it caves in. I've rotated the bed with no help. I've slept on the coach and on the floor better than on this bed.

So I've been trying to sleep in the middle of the bed but still wake up where I usually sleep. The middle of the bed is the way I remember how the whole bed felt like in the support it gave us when new. SO I went back to The Brick to talk about the warranty but they no longer send someone over to inspect it. They have you take pictures yourself and email them back to them. The problem is the sagging is not visible (sagging more than 1-1/2"). No proof of sagging, no warranty!!! What can a person do to hold these manufacturers responsible?

I slept on right hand side of bed for a few months and started to feel that I could not roll onto the middle of bed. I switched to left side of bed and it was fine for a few months and then I could not roll onto middle of bed - because it was higher. The right and left sides of the bed were much lower than the middle so there was no way I could roll upwards. Looking at the mattress it looks fine but when you lie on it, the depression is quite severe. On each side of the bed, the only space for sleeping is between the middle of bed and the sides. One night in my sleep, when trying to roll over, I fell off the bed. Sleep Country says too bad - the bed looks fine and they would only exchange it if depression was measured with a yardstick or broom but not with a person lying on it - but the whole problem being it sinks when I lie down on the bed. They say these are Sealy's specification. I am having hip surgery this week and do not have my own bed to sleep in because of the discomfort of knowing I may fall out of bed again. Sleep Country will not stand by their product - so now after less than a year I have to go out and purchase a new mattress.

I have 3 displaced discs in my left hip. I bought this mattress, after laying on it in the store. It seemed to be the firmness that I required. It was delivered. 12 months later I started sinking into a hole. It made my back much worse. When I complained, I was told I had to pay someone $50 to come out to look at it. My son told them no way, that I wasn't going to pay a dime. They also wanted me, a 84-yr-old woman to lift the mattress and take pictures (joke right?). They agreed to come out, no fee. He brought a cardboard cylinder with markings on it to determine how much it was sagging. I could see the sag with my bare eyes, but he determined it wasn't deep enough to warrant a new mattress.

I then contacted Sealy Home Office. They said after they sold the mattresses to a merchant, they were no longer responsible. Since when?? I have been putting towels, blankets and anything in the sag so I can sleep. It didn't help, so my son moved the mattress to another bed and when he moved it, it folded up like a wet noodle. Made it difficult to move. Since I can't get any satisfaction from Serta, I have decided to take them to small claims court. Not for anything but to prove that these big companies do have an obligation to its consumers, and my own satisfaction. I am hoping that they will reconsider and give me a new mattress, but I doubt it. They just don't care.

In reading so many of these stories, I feel I could have written each one myself. We too bought a Sealy Pillowtop mattress. When we bought it, we did not pay much attention to the fact that it had a ten-year warranty. After several years, we noticed when we made the bed the two valleys/grooves in it were becoming deeper and deeper. Upon rotating it, we read the tag a bit closer and discovered the warranty. We called Macy's. They were very polite and friendly. They arranged to have a tech come out. He measured the grooves and discovered they were almost 2" deep and we qualified for a new mattress.

The key here is that Macy's would determine a 'comparable' mattress as they no longer had or carried the mattress we were on. It was of course another pillowtop. We decided to upgrade to see if it would help with our sleeping. So we spent just over $3000.00 discounted by the value of our defective mattress. This mattress is another Sealy pillowtop with a 20-year warranty on it, 10 years of full credit and 10 years of pro-rated credit. Well 2 years later... it has a 2" groove and 2 valleys in it as well. So we called Macy's and they sent out the tech and our $3000.00 mattress leaves next week.

This time we went off the Sealy brand and off the pillowtop to the Hotel Collection from Macy's. Probably the only pain point here is that I have to pay for the Hotel Collection... and once they pick up my Sealy and take it back, I will get credited to my account. Fortunately for us we have the budget/credit to lay out $4000.00 to purchase our Hotel Collection from Macy's and wait for the $3000.00 credit back. From the sound of so many letters here, it appears that dealing with smaller corporate chains and box stores has caused a lot of pain for a lot of people. Customer service has gone out with the 70s and the 80s. Most stores and most employees just do not care anymore about reputation or service. Our new Hotel Mattress has a 25-year warranty on it. We hope it's the last one we ever have to buy as we are in our late 50s. Time will tell... For now we are just glad that Macy's does seem to care about customer service and does stand behind what they sell.

We have a Sealy Saxon mattress from Sleep Country, Canada. About two years ago, I started a complaint report about our mattress. It was sagging and that made it very uncomfortable to sleep on. Finally, last week, they sent out a technician to evaluate the mattress. He found it to be sagging as well the center spline was broken. This report was sent to Sealy, at which time they stated that the warranty was not serviceable. According to the manufacturer, we did NOT follow the warranty. We were told that we were suppose to put slats (5) across the wooden frame as well a block to support the center of box, this we did. I do not recall the part about the slats, but to do so would cause the foundation to be flush with the frame and the possibility of the box and mattress sliding to the floor during sleep time. I was told that the boxes are now made of pine (a soft wood) instead of the old frame of hardwood - just wonder why the box is built so flimsy as to allow the box to need extra support. I will be checking further into other manufacturers to see if they have the same issues. We are NOT likely to be purchasing a Sealy bed again in the future.

However, it made my back much worse up to the point where I was literally crippled by the time I got out of bed in the morning. I had to use a walker! For the first time ever. I didn't even bother with trying to make Sealy do anything about it. We had sent back a mattress once before (to the store where it was purchased) and they made such a big deal out of it even though it was plain the mattress was totally warped out of shape. They took it back but made it clear they didn't like it one bit, and were not at all courteous about it. I can do without all the drama. After contacting Sealy, the manager said the mattress sag was not severe enough. I inquired about the springs and the issue was totally ignored, even by the mattress inspector that was sent out to evaluate the mattress.

After being treated with such disrespect from Sealy, I contacted the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and they contacted Sealy several times and again Sealy blatantly ignored the spring issue. The BBB informed me there was nothing else they could do but suggested I contact the Department of Consumer Affairs. Upon contacting this government office they suggested civil court. Obviously Sealy is aware of this whole warranty process and chooses to treat customers, who was willing to purchase their products, with total disrespect.

The online purchase agreement was for 2-3 weeks. After purchase a call came a week later from Sealy to my voice mail. I called back a few days later when I noticed the call and was offered a date 3 weeks or more after the date I called them back, not within the original 2-3 weeks from ordering. They said they weren't delivering to London for a whole week after the 3 weeks was up, which sounded unbelievable. So I was offered the first available date of 7th June, a Saturday, about 4.5 weeks after the original order. On Saturday 7th, I got a call in the morning from a CEVA Customer Service rep to say that the mattress had not been delivered by Sealy to CEVA the distribution company's warehouse, so there could be no delivery to me. I was told that as soon as the mattress arrived it could be delivered to me the next day.

On Monday, I called Sealy Customer Service to explain the problem, as CEVA had advised me to do. I was told that I would get a call back from Sealy with an explanation. This never happened. On Tuesday 10th at 5:10 pm, I was called back by CEVA with a delivery date offer of Tuesday 17th June, sticking to a rule they say they have for not delivering less than a week from the booking date. This sounded like the 3 week rule I had been told earlier. So the earliest date I have been offered for delivery of the mattress is now 6 weeks after purchase. If the mattress had arrived within 3 weeks, my guests would have been able to use it to sleep in my house. However, they could not, so I was forced to spend money putting them up in a B&B.

My strong recommendation is that nobody in the UK should buy a Sealy mattress online. The delivery offer is 2-3 weeks, but there is no intention to honour this, with 3 weeks being the minimum rule, before an available delivery within 10 days of this date is then offered. Surprisingly only 1 delivery a week to London seems to take place. Then the delivery company does not have an accurate record of stock to actually realize it can make the delivery and blames Sealy for its own failings. Then different members of the delivery company customer service say different things about the soonest delivery date to rectify their mistake. And nobody has said sorry for the error. I am expected to liaise between Sealy and CEVA Customer Service teams. Nobody has taken any ownership of this problem. If they had I would feel that someone cared. It is clear now that they do not.

The only solution for Sealy is to replace CEVA as its distribution agent and take back control over its distribution system. This is my worst experience in purchasing anything online or in store. And Sealy has my money all this time. It is all very well operating a just in time system so that it holds no stock of its own, but clearly Sealy has no concept of how to make it work in practice.

My husband and I purchased a Sealy pillow top mattress from Art Van in Taylor, MI in February 2012. 3 months after sleeping in it, both my husband and I started to experience similar back problems. I called Art Van and they stated we needed to give it time to get used to the New mattress. 4 months later we couldn't take it anymore as both of us were so severe, we started to see a chiropractor. I called Art Van again and they sent out a technician to measure our mattress. It did not measure 1 1/2" as required for a manufacturer warranty claim, it was only reported as 3/4" so Art Van said there was nothing they could do and to turn the mattress as that could help.

Over the next year we suffered with bad sleeping conditions, pain, numerous chiropractic appointments until May 2014. I was unable to physically get out of bed without excruciating pain that brought tears to my eyes, walk or stand out of bed. I couldn't take my girls to school in the morning, they had to miss that day. I called my chiropractor crying to get an emergency appointment. I have done over a year of research and timeline records to know that this mattress is the cause. I called Art Van to request a new technician to come and measure our mattress. It was the same one and this time it was 1 1/4".

Art Van said sorry you are a 1/4" short of a manufacturer warranty claim. I pleaded for some kind of customer satisfaction from ART VAN NOT Sealy and received nothing. I requested to speak to a service manager as I learned the store manager I was speaking with was unable to do anything for me. The store manager scheduled a 2nd tech to come and measure the mattress for a 2nd opinion as she called it. On 5/23/14 another guy came. He said "what the hell" as he walked into my room. He measure 1 3/4" and started looking for stains with his cellphone light. He began to say how he knows the first tech who came to measure and he is "right on" and a "good man" was his exact words.

He said he cant believe what he was seeing and made it clear that he didn't feel comfortable to go against the first techs measurements. He started pulling and tugging on the mattress where the biggest sag was and measure it again. It was 1 1/2" he said he had to move the mattress around because the pillow top was not part of the mattress. I should of video recorded this happening, it was so unprofessional and biased! ANYONE HAVING A MEASUREMENT DONE---VIDEO RECORD THE APPOINTMENT!! You never know how it will go and what situation you will be left in.

Needless to say, I have called the service manager 3 times, left voice mails after the staff told me she was "in an hour meeting" and she was not calling me back until this morning (Wed 5/28). She apologized for the way the tech handled the appointment and stated his report clarified it only measured 1 1/4" and there was NOTHING they could do but I could wait another 30 days and have it re measured. REALLY? I don't think so, it's clear after the last techs actions we will never get our warranty claim. The service manager was going to call the techs supervisor and the tech to find out details and give me a call back.

What happened to the first measurement before he tugged and pulled on it two times until it matched the first techs measurement of 1 1/4". Does Art Van think customer service is a JOKE? or are they aware of how bad SEALY is to deal with for manufacturer warranty claims, if so DON'T sell Sealy! Regardless a $1300 BRAND New mattress should NOT be sagging with valleys causing poor posture during sleeping to where we can not get out of bed and walk. My husband and I only weigh 140lbs each. Still contemplating on a law suit against Art Van AND Sealy if she doesn't have a resolution. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SEALY OR SEALY BRAND MATTRESSES AND BE CAUTIOUS OF ART VAN CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Sealy as a company has possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. To start we bought a 1,000 plus dollar opti-cool affair and matching box spring. They loaded it up and we drove home. Moving the mattress upstairs to the bedroom was easy but the box spring (labeled a normal queen) weighed about 450 pounds and took several people to haul into place. On opening the box spring we found it was an "up" adjustable deal, except it was for a full bed. Calling the company I was placed on hold for 40 minutes, hung up on THREE times (not accidental we could hear the woman talking to her friend as she picked up the phone and then clicked it down again rapidly) and generally ignored for three days of leaving messages, automated phone trees and customer service agents bouncing us between the factory and the corporate headquarters with no one willing to take responsibility.

We finally made some headway and established a time for them to come out and fix our issue but in typical Sealy style they never showed up. The driver had forgotten his cell phone, so could not call and had claimed to have stopped by and that no one was home! Seeing as I had taken off work and was WAITING on my front porch I highly doubt the accuracy of his claims. I called the factory and they said they would send the driver RIGHT back out and six hours later he showed up. Everyone I have talked to in this company has had a bias attitude towards my complaint, has attempted to blame each other, or tried to pin the blame on me!

One of their reps literally tried to say I should have checked more carefully. When I showed them the mislabeled box and pictures of the wrong box spring they lost all steam on that moronic claim. Clearly they believe you should UNPACK your mattress at the factory, and test it before you ship it to your house? Summary, Sealy is perhaps the most negligent, irresponsible swindle of a company I have ever dealt with. Do not buy their products.

I am writing because I am completely at a loss of words with what has occurred with the Sealy Company within the last four months. I have never in my life had such a poor consumer's experience. Let's start from the beginning. Both the mattress and box spring that I had bought in 2012 became defective so I made the steps to getting a replacement. Finding a replacement for my mattress and box spring was close to impossible because of the little help your customer service gives its customers. I had to on my own search for a comparable mattress and call in a dozen times to check and see if it was comparable. I ended up choosing the Mebane classic series and sent a check to Sealy for 240$, which 140 was for the delivery and 100 was for the mattress up fee because like I said it was near impossible finding something comparable since I received little to no help.

After all was said and done and approved, I got a call saying my mattress would be due to arrive at the end of February. The so called mattress in question was received late March and I refused the entire delivery because there was a hole in the box spring. Furious, because I had to call off work to be home to expect the delivery, I called Sealy Customer Service who then told me they would make a very speedy shipment/delivery to me the following week, which never happened. I called again and talked to a very kind woman named Debra who said I would receive 140$ delivery refund for my troubles. Which I am still waiting on but I was told that may take a while. Today April 2nd from, 9-2 was Sealy's second attempt to deliver the mattress and box spring and to no avail it never happened. So another workday I had to take off to be home for a delivery that was not yet successful. I was talking with Sealy on and off all day and they have no idea what happened.

At this point I have no idea what to do. I have not been profane or unkind to anyone but this is the kind of strife I must put up with. I have gone 2 days without pay because of your company and have gone through months of agony over this whole thing, while my defective bed is falling apart. I would like to talk to someone of stature in your company. I would like my full refund which is a total of 240$. If I cannot be compensated for all that has gone on, I will be forced to call the family lawyer to deal with this issue in a civil lawsuit. It has almost been half a year that I have been dealing with this issue and I cannot keep putting up with this and missing work for deliveries that are defective or never arrive here.

We also questioned the delivery people about the slats and they also told us that 5 slats were sufficient for support.

The inspector came out and took measurements of the bed and would not give us any information. At this point we knew we were screwed. We received a call 9 days later from Boscov's and they told us that they would not do anything for us because we don't have a center support on the bed. What are you supposed to do if your bed is not made with a center support? It sounds to me that Sealy just does not cover any warranty issues. After reading other reviews customers were told they needed 4 wooden slats, we were told we needed 5 and still no coverage. So now we are stuck with a $1000.00 piece of JUNK.

We purchased a Sealy Posturepedic Mattress set (Notting) from Leon's Canada in April 2012. The mattress was comfortable for about one year and then we began to notice back pain and knee pain and shoulder pain in the morning. Both sides of the mattress sink in when sleeping with a big hump in the middle, the outside is rock hard like we are sleeping on the frame. By looking at it you don't see the indents as there is memory foam on top (a pillowtop). We called Leon's and arranged an inspection of the bed. The "inspector" put a weighted string across the bed (what a joke) and said "we can't do anything about this bed. It looks fine and I can't get a reading where the level dips anywhere on the bed." I asked him to lay on the bed and then he would be able to feel what we are feeling. He said "no we can't do that." I asked him how he would be able to see what we were complaining about without laying on it?

He left and we then called Sealy, and were basically told that we had 2 months to exchange the bed at the beginning and that there was nothing they would do now, and that we should think about buying a tight top mattress in the future. So we are now stuck with a 1500.00 mattress set that is useless, the warranty of 10 years is a complete joke and we will never ever purchase a Sealy Mattress or purchase anything from Leon's again. Such a complete lack of customer support, very disappointed and now out 1500.00.

I purchased a Sealy Posturepedic mattress (SE7005/0MAT) for $400+ by phone from Sleepy's on 12/18/2013. Most of the time, I slept in the middle of the bed by myself. When I slept in the bed with a companion, we noticed that it sagged in the center of the mattress. On January 19, 2014 I called Sleepy's to look for a remedy. After being told that I had exceeded the 30 day satisfaction period, I persisted. I was offered a good will satisfaction replacement for $150 additional. I persisted again. Sleepy's ordered an inspection by Bed Chk, Inc. which because of numerous snow was delayed until 2/6/2014.

The report showed that the mattress sagged 1 1/8" in the center of the mattress. Sleepy's told me that it needed to sag 1 1/2" inches to qualify for defective. Also, I had four wood slats supporting the foundation which was not Sealy, but not noted with any problem. Sleepy's told me that Sealy required five wood slats to support the foundation which makes no sense to me. Hoping to improve the situation I turned the mattress 180 degrees, head to foot. After just a week I am showing signs of sagging again at the end of the mattress. I have been offered a credit at a Sleepy’s store for the cost of the mattress which the salesman said was a top seller. However, the net cost of the proposed new mattress was $800. I am stuck with a rotten deal.

DO NOT BUY FROM EITHER COMPANY!!! I have a Sealy Mattress purchased at Sears. The mattress is less than 2 yrs old and only used about 7 months per year. The mattress squeaks and creaks every time you get in or out of bed. The mattress inspector came, took pictures of the mattress and frame and declared the frame as perfect and the mattress has a manufacturer's defect. Sears first approved a full replacement then called back 36 hrs later to refuse the claim. THE SEARS WARRANTY IS A TOTAL FRAUD. Look up the NUMEROUS BLOGS and COMPLAINTS about Sealy and SEARS. DO NOT BUY FROM SEARS or SEALY. YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!

Sealy Posturepedic Mattress - On 3/6/14 my husband and I purchased a new king-size mattress; one side plush, the other firm. Today it is 3/19/14, and there is such a big hump in the middle that it looks like someone is lying in the middle of the bed under the covers!! I am totally satisfied with the comfort factor, but the looks of it is just awful and embarrassing to look at.

I bought this in February 2012 from Dreams and getting shut of in March 2014. Waited 8 weeks for delivery and paid approx $550. It is a mattress where you can only use one side. The side that you are supposed to use has a layer of foam on it that holds all of your body heat and makes it impossible to sleep. I haven't had this type of mattress before. I have had to turn it over and use the side you're not supposed to sleep on so that I am not constantly waking up through being too hot. To add to this, it has always been a very noisy mattress no matter what side was used. Just sitting on the bed or turning over made a racket. I won't buy Sealy again.

I purchased a mattress for the second time due to sagging problems, they were giving me credit for the mattress but told me I have to pay for the delivery of this mattress because on the first problem mattress, they waived the delivery charges so they can't do it again. Well why do I have to pay when it's not my fault the mattress is faulty... I bought the mattress from Sleepy's located at 25 Gateway Shopping Ctr, Kingston, Pa. 18704.

Bought the Sealy Queen Pillow top in April 2013 and wife had to put a pillow under her side for proper sleep support the first night! Over the next few months, we both suffered back pain requiring chiropractor treatment who advised us our backs were misaligned. After a few months of sleep agony we finally called Sears where we bought the bed and were referred to warranty where we got no support whatsoever. We got rid of the bed and bought a Sleep Number which is much better but we are still recovering from back problems but not severe enough for treatment now.

Upon close inspection of the bed, we found it to be substandard design incapable of proper support for human use to sleep on in our opinion. We want the Better Business Bureau to sue Sears and Sealy for our purchase price. My wife and I are not the only ones to complain about the Sealy Beds. There are hundreds of online complaints similar to ours. These beds should be recalled citing inferior design and all money refunded. We will never buy a Sealy product ever again.

WE bought a Sealy blue frost euro top mattress set in September of 09 and by 12-09 it had big dips in it. The store told me to call Sealy company because it was over 30 days. They sent a man out to check it out and he agreed that it was defective, and we received a new one. I thought the problems were taken care of then, WRONG!!!... The second one lasted longer but by the end of the 1st year it was just as bad as the first one. I called Sealy again and was told that I would have to file a complaint, have it inspected again (there was a charge for this) and if it was found defective I would be responsible for delivery fees plus the prorated fee charged for replacement (using their formula of 3/10 times the price divided by date of purchase).

All in all, it would end up costing us another $300.00... This just seemed like throwing good money after bad, I'd rather take that money and get something else. I had a Serta before this Sealy and after 16 years it was in better shape than these two Sealy's were after a month... Sealy used to be a good product, but like so many things they just keep trying to make more profit and quality has been eliminated... From what I've read here, a lot of others feel the same way.

We purchased a Sealy mattress from Sleepy's 2 years ago and it began to develop uneven patches and became distorted approximately 3 months after our purchase. After many months of back pain, we called Sleepy's and they supplied a number for us to call to have Sealy's send a warranty adjuster to the home. Sleepy's requires that in order for our particular mattress to be defective, it must sag 1 1/2 inches. The adjuster measured the depression at 1 5/8 inches, sufficient for it to be defective (one look at the mattress and its uneven surface would verify the claim. He also stated that the box spring, purchased at the same time as the mattress, had less than 1/8 inch depression, confirming the mattress is defective. However, Sealy claims that the bed frame is insufficient because it only has 3 slots of wood on the frame and not 5 and voided the warranty.

In my estimation, that is their way of getting around the warranty as most beds do not come with 5 slots. Repeated attempts by Sleepy's and myself calling Sealy have been unsuccessful to obtain a replacement mattress. One other interesting note: the "law tag" is not on the mattress, but we do have several others and have never taken the tag off any of them. Is it possible that I was sold a used mattress? I am completely unhappy with their responsiveness and will be forced to purchase a new one; obviously it will not be a Sealy.

This is an addendum to my previous complaint of July 22, 2013. We grudgingly paid the $50 for the 'inspector' to come out and look at the mattress. His determination was the failure was 1" on one side and 7/8" on the other, not enough to validate the claim of failure - claim rejected. This mattress was purchased in February so is only 7 1/2 months old. The frame is acceptable and the foundation was purchased with the mattress so no problem there. End result: we are stuck with $1500 for a failing mattress and back aches. Meanwhile we just have to live with it or consider the money a good lesson and go buy another mattress if we can find one that is not trash.

We can file another claim - another $50 - after 90 days or whenever we can see 1 1/2" of 'failure'. I still believe that with the memory foam layer there will never be a 1 1/2" demonstrated failure as the foam compensates for it although the inspector denied this. It appears that there are no good mattresses made anymore. All are very heavy, one-sided pieces of trash that fail soon after purchase. Might as well sleep on the floor, at least it is flat. If you have a 15 to 20-year-old mattress that is still comfortable, keep it. You won't do better in today's market.

We purchased a King Sealy Springfree Meadowbrook mattress and paid over $3000. The mattress had a 20-year warranty. After the second year the mattress started sagging and eventually got worse. We have lived with this bad mattress for a total of six years. We are taking it to the dumpster today. You might suggest that I apply a claim under the warranty. I'm not going to waste my time after reading all the other attempts to do this. Sealy creates junk products, sells them at ridiculous prices and then has no intentions of honoring their warranties. It's interesting that Sealy puts such long warranties on their products but on their website they tell you that they will only last 8-10 years and then you should replace it. I think they made a mistake and meant 8-10 months. I will never give Sealy a dime of my money again. Buyers beware.
