Purchased $2500 bed-both my husband and I sleep hot so it was an issue we researched diligantly. The Sealy website states that memory foam will not make you sleep hot and Corrie at the Brick ensured us that it was also not an issue. Both companies represented us falsely and it cost us alot of money.Of course the Brick will not refund us our money only give us store credit which doesn't help because all their beds have memory foam in them. And Sealy says there is nothing they can do that you'll get used to it. Thank you very much and have a nice day we have your money.

C&C Mattress sold us what was supposed to be new Sealy Latex mattress. The day it arrived they delivery men refused to allow us to inspect mattress. After they left it we opened the box and discovered the split down the side of the mattress. We immediately called the merchant and
E-mailed pictures to Peter Cancelli, dba C&C Mattress whereupon he E-mailed his reply stating it was defective. We requested a replacement, but C&C Mattress has refused. Now we are out over $2100.00 and stuck with a mattress that has split down the side. They charged my account for a defective mattress even though we phoned them and advised them of the defect on the day it was delivered. I have contacted C&C Mattress by telephone and by e-mail in order to try to resolve the dispute. C&C Mattress told us to get it sewn. C&C Mattress told us our request for a replacement was not reasonable because replacing it would cut into his profit. Sealy told us they don't warranty defective stitching and directed us back to C&C Mattress. C&C mattress has continued to refuse to our requests and as recently as Tuesday, 2-10-09, advised us to make no further attempts to contact them.

I got rid of a 20 year old Sealy Mattress because I just figured it was time to replaced it. That was the wrong thing to do. I went April 20, 2008 and purchased what I thought was a nice, queen size mattress set. A short four months later, it was impossible to sleep on because of the great swooping in the middle. The adjuster was sent out and I was told to make a reselection. At this time I was sent to the Finger's Willowbrook store because of the closing of the Greenspoint store. On Oct. 5th, 2008 I took my time making my reselection. I also had to go up in price because of the stock that they had. Now I find out Finger's is going completely out of business and Ashley is taking over. When my new Sterns and Foster arrives I am puzzled to why it is as hard as a rock. I did not pick out the firm, but I received the firm. No problem with body depression's or anything else with this one because it was like laying on concrete. I called Finger's back and told them this is not what I ordered. Of course they said I was wrong, but I could make another selection. At this time I just begged to get my money back and be done with this terrible situation. I was told Finger's never gave refunds. As this stood, I had to make another selection. By this time the inventory that was left was a bigger price than I could really afford. The salesman, that day could not say enough good things about the new SpringFree. I ended up upgrading to a $2000.00 mattress. I had high hopes that my problems were over. That was not to be. In less that three weeks and having rotated once the swooping on this mattress was terrible. They can call it body depressions if they want, but it is just a swoop all the way across. Your back is in a constant drop off and since then I have been in pretty bad pain. I again went through filling out the paperwork to get an adjuster out to see it. He claimed there was nothing wrong. Since this time I have called Sealy in North Carolina, filled out their paperwork, faxed it three weeks ago today, left three phone messages, all with no results. I guess you could say this claim should be for both Finger's and the Sealy Mattress Company. Still Sealy should be responsible seeing it is THERE PRODUCT. I am just looking for a way to resolve this problem fairly. I work three jobs and to not have time or the money to waste on things like this. I really feel this calls for a class action lawsuit. I also heard that the CEO of Sealy bowed out and someone else has taken over. I think this company has used inferior products to make their mattresses and that their company has been really mis-managed. I wish I could talk with someone from Sealy. Right now you reach an automated line that says there is a high volume of calls and to leave your name and number and someone will get back with you. Right

I purchased a mattress on February 3, 2008 and began having problems with the mattress sagging in late July, 2008. A technician came to my house and within 5 months the mattress had already began sagging a little over 1 inch on both sides. They said there was nothing they could do about it because it had to be over 1.5 inches in order for them to take it back.
My husband sleeps on our living room floor because the bed hurts his back that bad. I now have massive neck and back pain that radiate back and forth while I sleep and if I am standing or sitting too long. I have been to a chiro that said my back needs a lot of adjustments. I got rid of a mattress after 11 years that was not as badly indented as this BRAND NEW one was after 5 months. Another technician came out to my house in December 2008 or January 2009 and it was still indented the same. Whenever I sleep, my body is at an angle because it dips in the middle only. I was told by Sealy that it is a natural body impression. I beg to differ. I don't ever remember my body being shaped like a freakin boomerang. I'm 32 years old and when I wake up in the morning I feel like I'm 90 years old. My back cracks, my neck is stiff and Sealy has the nerve to tell me I have to suffer even more until they take the mattress back. In my opinion, any mattress that sags that much after 5 months is defected. I believe Sealy tells their customers it has to be 1.5 inches because they know if it was anything less than that they'd be replacing many mattresses. This is not fair to me, the customer who paid $1500 for this mattress alone because I am not satisfied with the product. It has nothing to do with me not liking it or it being not comfy enough. It has everything to do with this mattress screwing my back and neck up, along with my husband. When my comforter is pulled up you can clearly see both dents on each side. My 11 year old mattress didn't even look that bad when the bed was made. I am at a loss for words for the lack of concern this company has taken for their garbage mattresses. I read so many complaints that were just like mine and everyone seemed to get the same answers I did...which was none. Everyone was told it wasn't indented enough or that they couldn't take the mattress back because it was soiled. It is illegal to sell a used mattress any ways so why do they care if it is soiled or not? If the mattress is a piece of garbage, who cares what it looks like. It should be going to get destroyed any ways. That is something I believe Sealy uses to help them not have to take mattresses back. If they are worried about the health of their workers, bring a plastic cover for the mattress when they have to transport it. They don't give a rat's behind about their customer's health so why is the health of their employees a concern to them? I want a new mattress so my husband can sleep in the bed again. This is ridiculous. We paid $1500 for this mattress and we absolutely hate it. As I sit here and type my neck is killing me. I am so upset because no matter what, I keep hitting block walla and am basically being told oh well by Sealy and Ashley's Furniture in Palm Desert which is where I bought the mattress from.

In May of 2008, I purchased a Sealy Springfree Latex mattress. I did a lot of research and it was considered one of the best mattresses for neck and back problems as well as side sleepers. On Sealy's site as well as in the store, I was told that the latex springs back immediately, and will always hold its original firmness. Sealy makes firm, plush, and 3 ultra plush models. I purchased the Beachside model, which although "plush", is only one step up from "firm", deemed "medium firmness".

After 3 months, the mattress started getting softer than normal, and eventually started to form deep pits where I slept, and did not bounce back, not immediately, or after an entire day. End of December 2008, I called Sealy and got the automated system; it says I should contact store of purchase with any concerns. I called the Mattress Mall where it was purchased from Al who was "not in", so Steve said, "Call back after New Year." I went into the store just after New Year. Although the store was completely empty of customers, Steve asked me to come back "mid-week".

I went back on Wednesday, Steve said he would either replace or exchange; he would contact Sealy, to give him "a couple of days" and he would call me. Over the next two weeks, I called several times. Steve seemed to never be in and never returned my calls. I called Sealy and finally spoke with a Customer Service rep named Robin. Robin said, "Well, you bought a soft bed. What do you expect?"

We went back and forth, me insisting it was not supposed to be a "soft" bed; it was one step above firm, and 3 steps down from "soft". He insisted that because the word "plush" was present, that meant soft. I stated that I was very disappointed in the way this was being dealt with, $1400 for a bed that I can now not sleep on after only 6 months, and that he was basically telling me, "Oh well, too bad..." I said, "I might as well have thrown that money in the gutter." His reply was, "Well, I wouldn't have put it in those words ... but basically, yeah".

Today, after 17 days of no replies from the store of purchase, I spoke to John. He said that Steve was no longer there; he will try to help, but "The store is having financial problems". He then went on to say that to go through them, they have to purchase a replacement from Sealy, who then has to issue them a credit, and "The store can't afford to do that... so if you want, I can file a claim for you, but you will have to wait in line due to the numerous people ahead of you."

I feel I have been had all the way around. The store doesn't stand behind the products it represents, and Sealy does not stand behind its own products. If a mattress sags 1 1/2 inches, it is defective, but at 1 1/4 inches there is nothing wrong? Regardless of the degree, the bed sags. The body indentations do not go away - ever.

I wake up every morning with my hips aching and barely able to walk. This bed is making my problems worse rather than better and all I get is a bank account with $1400 less in it, and a big fat, "Oh well". Sealy should be ashamed. I am so disappointed with what I've read on this site about Sealy and how they do business. I fear my situation will only get worse once they do, if ever, send out an "inspector". Those people are trained to not find a problem. It is a big charade at the consumer's expense. There seriously should be a law against this blatant charade.

I paid well over $1,000 for this mattress and feel they should have pride in their product and stand behind their warranty.

I purchased this mattress in 2004. Since that time, the bed has developed sagging of greater than 4 inches, the sides are bulging. I contacted the place where I purchased the bed. I filed a complaint form. They sent out an inspector and then 10 days later, I received a letter stating the mattress is stained and they cannot replace the mattress and are voiding the warranty. The mattress is not stained and in attempt to not honor their warranty, they used a blanket unsanitary condition to void the warranty, while their warranty has not defined unsanitary condition. Mattress cost was $3,699. I have developed arm and hand numbness only when I sleep. It wakes me up constantly. It is painful but it goes away when I get out of the bed.

We had a mattress from Sealy & it went bad so after many many months of trying to get ahold of someone we were actually able to get a replacement mattress. However, we were not able to order it from a Sealy store directly but had to order it from the warehouse instead. Now you have to understand that when dealing with Sealy, you can not talk to them in person, but everything has to be done via email. So this process to get someone to confirm that there was even a problem took forever, but also to get the OK to get a new one. We did however get 500.00 to put towards the new mattress. After we picked out a mattress at a local store, we then ordered one through the warehouse and once we got it, it was not what we had tried in the store. It was to be a foam mattress that conforms to your body and unless you weigh about 400 lbs, it is not going to conform to anyone's body. It is hard as rock and we have done everything from jumping, walking and rolling over the entire mattress to soften it up. It has been about 1 year and I have not been able to sleep in this bed because when I lay down, my feet are elevated. We have tried to email them but they refuse to email back and I even notified the BBB and they replied back stating that Sealy will not respond to their requests either. There is no way to contact Sealy in person. I will never purchase their products again and we have 6 beds in our home.

We were told to contact Sealy directly as Sealy doesnt allow them to troubleshoot their mattress. They gave us 1-866-237-8233. After quite a length of time. We did get ahold of them and they asked us to troubleshoot with them. We did everything they wanted us to check and tech stated he would send out new hoses. We recieved the new hoses 10/5/2008 and installed them and the bed still deflated as before. Tried calling them back at Sealy left our phone numbers multiple times and no one called us back. Called American again explained what has been going on CS rep said she would get someone from Sealy to call us back right away. Several hours later got a call back and spoke with Robin who again started at the beginning on troubleshooting the mattress again. Which meant taking it all apart again. He had us disconnect the hoses and see how long it took for the bed to deflate. And gave us his direct line 336-861-3933. When we called him back phone just rings most of the time. Called American back talked to Krista who said she was the manager and just tells us to keep trying to get ahold of them. My husband and I purchased a Sealy mattress in 2000 from Room Source. It came with a 10 year full replacement warranty. A few years ago, I believe in 2005, we had it replaced due to sagging. The first time we had it replaced, we went through Room Source and had to make several phone calls because they were trying to just give us a credit for the original amount we paid for the mattress. However, the closest model to our original was more expensive in 2005 than what we had originally paid. We argued that the original mattress came with a full replacement warranty and simply giving us a credit and expecting us to pay more for a replacement was not exactly fullfilling the warranty. Eventually, we settled the matter and received a new mattress delivered to our door without having to pay anything more than what we originally paid. In June, 2008, we had an inspector come look at our mattress again (this is our replacement mattress) due to sagging. It was determined again that the mattress was defective and we qualified for a new mattress. However, at this same time, Room Source was filing for bankruptcy and refused to cover our claim. Thus, we sent all paperwork directly to Sealy. They agreed to replace the mattress with a similar model but would only deliver it to us if we paid for the cost of delivery. Thus, we had to pay $120.00 for them to deliver a new mattress because the one we had was defective. My complaint is that I don't think I should have to pay anything. I think that a full replacement warranty means that the company is responsible for replacing a defective product. It should not be my responsibility to pay because their item failed. I want my money back. Also, they wanted to charge me an additional $60.00 to remove the old mattress. I declined to pay that and so now I have to deal with the inconvience and cost of discarding their defective product. I am very disturbed by Sealy's lack of customer service and lack responsibility that they are taking to fulfill their warranty. I think this may very well be my last Sealy purchase.

I filed a claim for a mattress that has a 10 year warranty. A co. came to do an inspection on the bed and Sealy has denied our claim. They DID agree to replace the box spring though we did not put a claim in for that. I assume because it squeaks. The method in inspecting the bed was not in any way sufficient for discovering the condition of the mattress. This was a thousand dollar mattress. I would like Sealy to stand behind their product and replace this mattress.Even to the naked eye the sink holes that they call indentions from sleeping can be easily seen. Then to add insult to all of this Sealy states that the remainder of our warranty is voided due to a stain on the mattress. This discoloration was due to a medication I was previously taking and in my opinion not only can they not reuse this mattress, but this is merely an excuse for not standing behind their product.

We purchased a Sealy mattress less than one year ago. It has a limited ten year warranty. After six months we began to feel significant sagging beneith our bodies. We are of normal weight and size. Nine months later there was a dramatic warp visable on the side of the mattress.

A independent party arranged by Sealy, was sent out to inspect. The individual who looked at it, worked full-time for Jordans (where we purchased the mattress.) I don't believe he could be unbiased. He found our nine year old box spring to be the problem, and suggested several remedies which all included spending more money. He found depressions of 2 and a buckle on the side. No stains and proper frame support (except that our box spring is nine years old.) Claim #244232, though I have not seen his report yet.

Jordans claims that Sealy must accept the mattress as defective to get any remediation. Sealy representives claim that the warranty is not covered unless it is supported by a Sealy box spring, or equivalant.

After 3 months use and the sole person using this mattress if made a complaint / claim thru their customer serive dept. This mattress cost over $1100.00. An inspector came and his report stated my claim as denial as to two factors. (1) the mattress met guidelines of only 1 inch as it would have had to have 1 1/2 in. depression. (one person using this and the mattress sags in the middle, even after said mattress has been flipped) and (2) there was a stain which according to the manfacture voids out my warranty , But the stain is at the lower side portion of said mattress and it is only cosmetic as stains can be removed. A sagging mattress in the middle by a sole user after only 3 months clearly states to me that there is a default in the quality of said mattress.

This mattress and box spring set was purchased in January, 2003 and paid for in full. I had this mattress set to replace a previously one after 18 plus years. I do not like having a sunk in middle in this bed and it is not confortable to sleep. It has taken me some time to acquire the funds to made this purchase without charging it. It has been only six month's since we bought the mattress and already we have abnormal indentations on both sides of the mattress which is bothering me and my wifes back. When we bought the mattress we recieved instructions on how to flip and rotate it in order for the best feel, we have followed the instructions and still experience back pains.

We are sure it is from the mattress because the only time we feel the pain is when we wake up from sleeping and we know that the indentations that are on both sides are not normal because they are greater than 1-1/2 and the warranty that came for this mattress states this as a qualification for repair or replacement.

We have a warranty for ten years for this mattress. I have tried to contact Sealy Mattress Company for more than five time to see what they can do to solve this problem, but they transfer me to a answering machine saying that they will call back but they never do. The back pains me and my wife are experiencing from the mattress are getting worse and we feel that something must be done to fix this problem.

Both my wife and I have experienced bad back pains from the mattress. And the customer service the Sealy Mattress Company provides is one of the worst I have seen and is basically useless, because no customer service is provided. It is very stressful.
