Bought a mattress from the Noblesville store about 3 weeks ago. After having it for 7 days, it developed a bump in the middle of it. Called the store and they said we needed to give it another week to 10 days to see if the bump leveled out. After 10 days there was no change. Called the store to exchange. When they came out, they noticed what appeared to be a very light yellow color spot on the very top of the mattress that might have been there since day 1.
We never noticed it since it was so light and immediately threw sheets on the bed after the mattress was installed- which we picked up- they did not deliver. The employees that brought the exchange would not give us the new mattress because they claimed it was apparent that our baby must have went to the bathroom up by our head when she was sleeping with us. My baby happens to be 16 years old and she does not sleep with us up by our headboard. No toddler in our house. Furthermore, whatever it was wiped clean with a damp cloth... no soap required.
I complained to the store manager in Noblesville, Johnathan (who is a joke in himself) and he told us, "Too bad. Our warranty clearly states that no exchanges on mattress that have a stain." THERE WAS NO STAIN. The definition of a stain is: mark (something) with colored patches or dirty marks that are not easily removed. As mentioned above, a wet towel with no soap easily removed whatever mark this was on the mattress. So it was EASILY removed. We spent almost $1000 on this mattress that we have had for less than a month. Furthermore, this mark may have been there when we bought it and we missed it due to the location of it. Maybe if they would have picked it up when we requested and not made us keep in another 10 days we would not have had this problem.
I know there are a lot of good reviews on here... but a lot of bad as well. My only suggestion is don't go to the Noblesville store. Johnathan, who claims he is the store manager, is useless! Also, may I suggest, be sure to look at the back of your receipt before you leave the store. That is where their warranty is located.... Which I never knew until just the other day. Our salesman never told us about it.
We just wanted to exchange a mattress that we only had for 7 days. No refund. Did not want my money back. Just an exchange. Johnathan in Noblesville needs to go to customer service etiquette school and learn how to talk to customers too. When someone spends almost $1000 in your store and a problem arises in 7 days, you don't treat them like crap. But that's probably the only way he knows how to act. Stay away from the Noblesville store unless they fire Johnathan!

Mattress Firm, WARWICK, RI is NOT the place to purchase a mattress. They have NO mattresses in stock. I purchased a mattress set (paid in full). and was promised a two week delivery date. The night before the delivery they called and said at least another month. I cancelled the order. They take your money anxiously, but will only return it 7 -10 days later. I purchased the goods with a debit card. Everybody knows... a refund should only take a day or two... Terrible place... Buyers BEWARE.

I bought a Tempur-Pedic mattress and unfortunately, it wasn’t a match. My salesperson Jannack **, he told me his name was Ken, was very friendly and actively communicated with me until I mentioned I wanted to exchange. He immediately disappeared and didn’t answer my numerous texts/calls. I had to contact the area manager of Manhattan, Julio **, which when I explained what was going on and why I was so angry for being ignored for so long, not at him but the situation, he told me I was speaking to him like a child and I can call him back when I’m calm. I did not speak to him like a child. I merely asked if the customer service I experienced was what it should be. He didn’t answer. Finally I found a salesperson that could help me and understood why I was so upset.
I hope there are repercussions for salespeople like the one who sold me my mattress, “Ken” and area managers should help increase customer satisfaction. I was willing to work with him, but he offered me no solutions. I am entitled to an exchange within the first 120 days, as per the contract I signed with Mattress Firm, and I was treated as if I wanted something that wasn’t justified, was ignored, and told I was being rude when I was asserting myself to the area manager who should have been able to be more understanding and helpful. I also had to teach them the exchange policy limit is 10% max $250 plus delivery, they gave me a completely different number appx $500.
I would NEVER EVER recommend mattress firm going forward to any of my friends, family, or colleagues and will tell them my full experience. It was great in the beginning and then they don’t uphold their professionalism once the check is paid and exchanging or returning is a nightmare, if you can even get someone on the phone.

We purchased a Queen size mattress for our high schooler 2 years ago. The salesman said it had a great 10 year warranty and would last him through college. In just barely over 2 years there is a HUGE sag in the middle and one side is collapsing. What used to be a comfortable place to get a good night's sleep now causes restless nights and body aches. When we turned it into their warranty company, we were told the warranty was void because there was a small stain on the mattress. The stain is approx 3-4 inches wide by the head of the bed, nowhere near the parts of the mattress that are failing. My son had spilled a drink on it before the mattress cover arrived from shipping. They are unwilling to support their product or honor their warranty. I will never be buying a mattress from there again and will discourage everyone I know from purchasing anything from there either.

I went to the store in Peabody Mass. The salesman was great. I bought a used mattress from the outlet. It was used for 21 days then it was disinfected. This was the worst purchase I have ever made in my 61 years and I will never recommend Mattress Firm for the mere fact I wake up with aches and pains in this mattress was no good in the beginning and they took it back and they should have never done that. That shows that they really could care less about the customers and because it's a used Outlet one that I was not aware of until I put a down payment on it that there was no return. I feel Mattress Firm should have considered taking this mattress back because when it was returned the first time they should have never resold it especially being used. I do not recommend Mattress Firm. They don't care about their customers.

I bought a mattress that was supposed to be delivered yesterday. It never came, and there is no way to talk to a human on the phone. All you can do is send an email, and wait "48-72 hours." There is no option to cancel the order. I don't have 3 days. I need that mattress yesterday. So I disputed the charge with my bank and will strongly suggest to anybody to NOT do business with this company.

I purchased a mattress, box spring, mattress cover and 2 pillows from Mattress Firm. The pillows are like rocks. I wanted to return the unopened pillow. They were $149 each. I spent 3 hours trying to get a representative. Nothing. I finally called the pillow manufacturer who got a Mattress Firm rep on the line. The rep told me pillows can't be returned and hung up on me. That was news to me. The telephone sales person I spoke to when I made my purchase told me both pillows could be returned for a store credit if I didn't like them. He either was uninformed or lied about it. It's amazing that sales people from Mattress Firm answer on the first ring when you're thinking of purchasing but absolutely no one will help you afterwards!! They couldn't care less about their customers! I am disgusted by their treatment of me. I spent a lot of money & regret giving it to them! Go anywhere else to make your purchase! You'll be glad you did.

Edit The $900 mattress was suppose to be a medium firm. After a yr it is like a soft marshmallow. Don't believe the lies about a warranty. You will waste your time trying to get anything from them. The mattress has no support anymore - like sleeping in a pit. Have to sit up to turn over. Even then it pulls the sheets off of the corners of mattress.
Was told by salesman to submit a claim to factory. What waste of my time that was taking pictures to send them. Was told to put a straight edge across mattress put light pressure and if it goes down more than 2 1/2 inches it is bad. Mine goes down 5 1/2 inches. Factory now tells me that is not true. I should not put pressure on mattress to show sagging and to resubmit photos but that won't show anything as far mattress having no support. Mattress Firm bend over backwards to make a sale but give no help to customers after sale. Now I found that if I turn the mattress over and sleep on the bottom side there is some support till I can pay to have it hauled away. User's recommendation: Stay away from buying a mattress from Mattress Firm and Sleepy mattress company. They don't stand behind them.

I bought one mattress from Mattress Firm and it was delivered to my home as scheduled and delivery men were courteous and helpful. I ordered another mattress but needed it to be delivered to my builder's warehouse, which closes at 5:00 pm. After the first delivery attempt failed as it was 5:45, I contacted Mattress Firm through their customer service email system, and requested another delivery stating that it needed to be delivered before 5:00 pm.
Again, they scheduled the delivery (a month later) after 5:00 pm so I had to cancel that delivery as well. I paid for the mattress in June and as of now, July 21st, I have no mattress and no way to contact a REAL PERSON on the phone in order to insist that the delivery be scheduled before 5:00 pm. THIS IS NOT THAT HARD! If a real person, not an automated call system, would just contact me, I believe it could be straightened out with no problem. Lesson is, DO NOT BUY ONLINE as you have no salesperson to contact if there are delivery problems!!

I was suppose to have a delivery of my mattress today. I was lucky enough to find someone who was 18 and willing to wait for these bozos. I call them bozos because they did not believe she was 18. David from the Bergenfield store refused to give me the name. Wonder why? I have spoke to a few people and they have all had some sort of problem with delivery. I was pushed for time and had to get a bed asap. The fact that my son who works 12 hours a day had to pick up this bed by himself is inexcuseable. On June 22, 2018 we purchased a king-size Beautyrest Recharge, World Class, Bridgewater Firm mattress, box-spring pair and heavy-duty metal frame from Mattress Firm, 4340 Creekside Ave Ste. 100, Hoover, AL 35244 for $1,899.93. In less than two years, the mattress and box spring have not held up. They sag and are no longer firm. My wife and I have been experiencing poor sleep accompanied with sore backs.
A deciding factor to make the purchase from Mattress Firm was the store manager explaining that, “This was one of the firmest quality mattress and box spring sets that are sold in this store. Because of its quality this mattress will hold up very well, and that Mattress Firm stands behind this product and provides an all-inclusive ten-year warranty.” He continued, “If it loses firmness or any sagging should take place, the warranty would take care of you.” Then the manager went over the policy for making a claim. He made it clear that if there was an issue, we would be refunded the full amount we paid, less 10% per year of ownership and use.
We were impressed and this gave us confidence in knowing Mattress Firm stands behind the products they sell. As you see from our warranty claim, this is hardly the case. We were quite disappointed in the response from your customer service department as the warranty as described by the manager was not honored. We should have received an 80% refund or coupon, not a 20% coupon.

The company responded to BBB and ended up refunding the full cost of the new bed which thankfully came wrapped and no bugs so that is a good thing. The 2nd bed we had purchased, we moved it into storage and brought back our old mattress into 2nd bedroom as their full to queen promotion was out of queen at the time and we settled for the full, which was too small so it is now stored but that was our fault for settling instead of waiting a month for the queen.

ON Memorial Day we went to Menifee CA location to buy 2 mattress sets. We went back the following day to complete the purchase, should have left then as we were told the printer was out of ink and could not get a receipt. From there is only got worse, deliveries were messed up and took 6 deliveries to get the ordered items, but alas one of the items the salesperson recommended was a floor model which he stated was the best buy. Delivery problems continued and we are now three weeks in and late June. They delivered a Queen reserve and as soon as the drivers left, we noticed this was not the one we agreed to purchase. Another round of calls with store and the district sales manager who stated she was sure we were wrong and we were telling her this looked like someone had been sleeping on it as the bed was filthy and what appeared to be body fluids.
We went back to the store and agreed to purchase a new model and paid more money but they stated it would be weeks before the new mattress came from the factory. We paid and came home to sleep on the dirty mattress sold as a floor model. During the night we were both awakened in pain scratching. We called our pest contractor who stated it was bed bugs but that was not covered by our pest contract and would be a lot extra. I went to the store and purchased over the counter spray and sprayed the bed, tried to sleep again. Woke up scratching and upon checking I had hundreds of bed bug bites.
I sent an email to the district sales manager about the bed bugs the day after I received an email from the Menifee story with no note, but had 2 Mattress Firm documents, one stated not for customers eye, but alerted the staff not to discuss bed bugs and really deny with various responses. The other form states the store person is supposed to immediately contact a special customer service department dealing only in bed bug problems. Evidently this never completed as we received no calls, etc.. Yesterday we finally received the new mattress which thankfully was factory covered in plastic. I was asking the delivery personnel to not set down the pickup anywhere in the house and when asked why I showed him the photos of my body with hundreds to thousands of bug bites. He called the other delivery person to come look at the photos of my body during this time period.
From the second night until yesterday, we had to sleep in other rooms of the home so not to sleep in our own room with bugs. They took the plastic from the new bed, and wrapped the old mattress they were picking up, as they set up the new bed, we noticed first that the bed sat very high, and I asked if the box springs were low mount as we purchased. No they were not. Then my noticed that even the regular box springs were different colors, not even matching. Then we had to round up tools as my wife noticed the frame they had set up was falling apart. I have never had any service in my adult life like this, the district sales manager and others are really in my view worthless in solving problems but lucky they were very sloppy in sending me your own documents on how to deny or move away from problems.
The odd thing about these documents was that I was told the company never has bug problems but that was like the same floor model sent here which was wrong. What do I think would be fair, an apology, pay my pest control to make sure all the bugs are gone and not coming back, and reimburse my monies from this purchase, and hopefully we can move on and forget and hopefully sleep on the new mattress. If not this will be on every review site along with the photos of my bites, and to that end your own documents on how employees should avoid the bed bug issue and to immediately call this special department to help which did not happen. I am sorry we ever stopped at your company. Sincerely Gary.

As a side note, when I called I was hung up on two different times by Brianna. She didn't want to deal with me because it was a web order. Apparently they give priority to store orders when you call customer no service. Huge hassle (see two hangs up above) to cancel order. Still waiting for cancellation confirmation and money refunded. I stopped by Mattress Firm to buy a queen-size bed frame. The sales person seemed very nice and showed me the range of prices. I went for the heavy-duty frame thinking it would be the best option. He went back to look and said they didn't have the frame I wanted, but he would "give me a deal" (always be careful when they want to give you a deal!) and sell me a Hollywood frame for the same price as the other one.
When I got the frame home it looked like somebody had tried to force open the frame with a screwdriver. The feet were all messed up because somebody had obviously used a pair of pliers trying to get the foot guards in place. And one of the braces was missing, making the whole frame unusable. So now I get to get the thing back in the box, take it back down the steps of my apartment, lug it out to the car and take it back. I am beyond aggravated. Why this piece of broken junk was in their stockroom I don't know, but the fact that they sold it again makes me really angry. I've learned my lesson and will buy a replacement somewhere else.

The manager tried charging me for delivery and a restocking fee on the defective mattress? I didn't pay it of course and my new mattress was delivered this Wednesday - June 3rd. After being on this mattress for an hour and half, I immediately called the manager and told her that this was the worse mattress EVER! It was lumpy and NOT firm in any way of the word FIRM! My butt was sagging in the middle of the mattress!
The new mattress was ordered on May 29th and paid in full over the phone with the store manager. She said she was currently helping someone else but that I should get a call from a manager in 24 hours...You guessed it, no call. By the time I realized that when I was lifting the mattress there was a huge bulge in the mattress, Covid-19 was here. The 120 return policy is over...I have pictures but can’t attach them here. I ended up buying a 2” latex mattress topper to help with the problems that has been successful to hold the bulge down and stop the coils from making it hard to sleep.
I have no way to prove it but as fast as this mattress is breaking down it feels like it was previously used. I have to wonder what they do with all the returned mattress other than deliver them to others. It’s a scam IMO. We had bought a mattress from them, a year prior, not on sale and there has been no problem with it. Hummm I don’t recommend these people and will never buy from them again. Buyer beware, you may or you may not get what you think.

This company used to be Sleepy's but was bought out by a Foreign company. We purchased a Mattress online but never received ANY order confirmation or order number. We tried to contact them by Phone, Chat and E-mail to get information about the order. We finally received a response by e-mail a week and a half later. Since we never heard anything from them sooner, we replied to the e-mail and requested the order cancelled and refunded. We never heard anything back from them.
About another week later, Fedex came to deliver the order but we refused the shipment. We had to dispute the charge since they never honored our request to cancel. Only then did we get a phone call and an e-mail from their "Customer Care" department saying that they received a dispute on the transaction. We tried calling them back three times but couldn't contact anyone. We replied to their e-mail and explained the whole fiasco. They replied back saying how sorry they were and that they would send the refund request to their Accounting Department. It has now been a month and still no refund so we kept the credit card dispute active while they investigate. If you want to avoid stress and aggravation, STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY... There are so many better companies to get a Mattress.

I started my pursuit of buying a new mattress with research a lot of different mattress businesses. I was looking a for a BeautyRest, as I've had them in the past and was very happy with them. The store representative were very professional and did everything within THEIR power to make the purchase and delivery work. I selected a mattress and decided to use their financing program, as it is interest free as long as you make timely payments.
We knew we had low power lines on our road and that a 14 foot tall truck could not pass under them. We explained that and the Sales Rep. made detailed notes about the power lines and that they needed to call us BEFORE heading to our address to coordinate offloading onto a smaller truck. It was explained in the Sales Rep's notes that there is no cell service at the house; to call BEFORE leaving Denver area. The delivery appointment was made a week in advance. That's where it all went from bad to worse.
Mattress Firm was using a delivery company called Red Carpet Delivery Service. No one ever called. It was Fall and it started snowing. The truck was very late at even attempting the delivery. It was now dark. My boyfriend and I took off an entire afternoon of work to wait for these guys. "The guy" called about 7pm to say he wasn't coming and we would have to reschedule. We couldn't get another delivery appointment until another complete week.
The second attempt, went as it was suppose to. The guys called, we met them, transferred the mattress; it took them all of 5 minutes to set up. But SIX weeks later the mattress is sagging so badly, it was obvious that it would not last ONE year, much less 8 to 10 years. The Sales Rep tried to make it right. We upgraded from the $2,100 mattress to the $3,200 mattress - still using financing. Mattress Firm changed delivery services. No one would even share the name of the delivery company - not even the guys working for the delivery company. We had the SAME problem with delivery. A NO SHOW on the first scheduled appointment. No one to call. No one calling us. The Sales Rep tries to facilitate by reaching out to their dispatch person. Some guy in Florida finally called from the delivery company and tried to blame me for his people not reading or following instructions. AGAIN rescheduled a week later.
This time we waited at home all day as the delivery was supposed to be first thing in the morning. They finally called and showed up after dark. This time "the guy" doesn't want to transfer the mattress to the smaller truck. He wanted to call his boss - which I reminded him that if he had read the instructions it notes that cell phones don't work here. After a 20 minute argument, the two delivery guys finally did and took back the returned mattress. We paid a PREMIUM delivery service rate this too.
THEN the Financing.... Mattress Firm financing is through Synchrony. It took six months to get a statement from these people. First, they sent it to the wrong address entirely; THEN they STILL couldn't correct address entered CORRECTLY. When I first called, I asked for the account number and the dollar amount I need to pay every month. The Synchrony Service rep refused to give that info to me - even though I provided him with all my personal info Including SSN#. The Mattress Firm Sales rep calls on my behalf and gets the info for me. So I started sending payments based on the first mattress purchase.
Then we get the 2nd mattress and STILL no statement, but I'm still sending them money every month. They start charging me late fees and interest. I bought the 2nd mattress in November. It took me until March to finally get statements and have all the late charge fees and interest removed (5 phone calls later). After ALL THAT, the 2ND mattress starts doing the same thing as the first one. BeautyRest apparently has gone really downhill in quality. I finally bought a 4 inch thick deep pocket feather mattress ($100) to go ON TOP of the other mattress. I just couldn't go through all that crap a THIRD time.

Nice mattresses, comfortable, and the staff is friendly. However their payment plans are unrealistic during this pandemic and just a little pricey. What I like for us 1. Quality of comfort of a mattress. 2. The quality in which it is made and the style such as memory foam or pillow top. 3. Price, I guess this should be number 1. 4. Financing or payment plan options. 5. Promotions. Number 3 and 4 are just not in time with today's living standards.

It was also under the a/c vent in the showroom. We bought it, but it is still warm and my husband still sweats. We bought a cover for it and sheets through the same store. They are lovely as well, and perhaps the cover is why we don't get any feeling of "cooling gel". It is still the best purchase, and interest free financing is lovely.

Well 2 months later neither one of us like it at all. It is way too hard (unlike the one in the store) feels like you are sleeping on the floor.
We got the adjustable bed and we did ask if it was hard to sleep together on this split bed. We were told that it was not much different than a regular mattress. Well I have been married 35 yrs and unless he is out of town he has to touch me when he sleeps. Well, he has not slept near me in months because if feels like you are going to fall in a hole if you get close to each other. Well let me finish this story. I was contacted by someone that stated they were sorry I was unhappy and that one of their customer service reps would be getting in touch with me. I emailed back and forth with someone and they told me that a rep from the store I bought the mattress would be getting in touch with me. Well that was over a month ago.
I went to look at my contract and I am NOW out of date that it can be returned. So I guess I am stuck with this piece of CRAP. I paid over $6000.00 for something that my husband is going to burn. Now not only am I losing that money we have to buy a cheap bed now. Well, maybe the cheap one will sleep better than this one that I paid so much for. When applying a 8 lb. weight to the indentation area, the mattress sinks 2" (see picture). If I push down on the indentation area, the mattress easily sinks over 4" whereas the areas under the head and foot of mattress only sink less than 1". Imagine what this does to your back if you are a side or stomach sleeper! It should be noted this mattress was used on a new adjustable base - therefore it had good support.

Moral of the story: Brick and mortar mattress stores are becoming obsolete and charge a hefty markup. Do your research and purchase a quality mattress online. It will save you time and money and online sellers are much more flexible with returns. I have no issues with Mattress firm employees. Their policies are what created the headaches.
This was my wife and my first time buying a mattress. We thought that going to a brick and mortar store to test out the mattresses ourselves would be our best bet. Unfortunately, we got tangled up with all the nonsense that is embedded in the traditional mattress buying process. We started at Mattress Firm and were shown the Beautyrest hybrid which we liked. The sales manager, Craig, gave us what he said was a "good deal", but we would have to pay and sign for it that day as he "may not be in the same store tomorrow" (he turned out to be in the same store for weeks to come). I found out later that day that the price he gave us for the mattress was the exact same price as their website.
We had the option of canceling the order at no cost anytime before the delivery one week out. We ended up signing the papers with the intent on shopping around some more. We then went to Ashley Homestore and found a Sterns and Fosters mattress that we liked even better. I called Craig in the store and he said that he would beat their quoted price for the same mattress. We went back to Mattress Firm to find that they did not carry the same Sterns and Fosters model. I found out manufacturers sell the same mattress to different sellers just with different names to confuse buyers even more. Craig then had us try out a few comparable mattresses and we then settled on a Serta iSeries 300 hybrid (plush). We also were purchasing an adjustable frame as my wife has sleep apnea, so having the adjustable frame improves sleep quality. Craig threw in free setup of the adjustable frame and a purple pillow, so kudos to him on that.
The mattress arrived a week later and they set it up no problems. After they left, I discovered that a few of the button tufts were unseamed (see photos). I called Craig to notify him of this issue and possibly get a credit on the account as I was delivered a mattress with a defect. He said that the tufting was not something that was under warranty and that he would have to contact his manager in order to see what he could do. After several calls throughout the week there was no traction made. Sleeping on the mattress was comfy for the first couple of nights, but after the mattress broke in we began to have some reoccurring back pain.
After doing some research, having a firmer mattress is better for back support, especially with an adjustable frame. Why would we be sold a plush mattress when they were aware it was going to be on an adjustable frame and my wife had complained of back pain issues? Clearly we were not given the proper insight into this before making the purchase. After doing some more research on alternative mattresses, I stumbled upon the Avocado Green mattress. It had the highest Consumer Reports rating this past year and had very high scores for back sleepers. I also found out that the price of the Avocado was less than what we paid for the Serta.
I called Craig yet again to figure out our options for returning the mattress. He informed us that we could not return the mattress until 21 days after we received the mattress. He also said there would be a 20% restocking fee for the return and that we would have to pay back the discount he gave us on the adjustable frame in order to return it. I told him this was unacceptable and that I would be willing to pay a 10% restocking fee and not pay the difference on the adjustable frame (we ended up getting this). We ordered the Avocado mattress and were very well informed of our options by their customer support team. We've been sleeping on the Avocado for a couple of weeks and could not be happier. I wouldn't recommend anyone go through Mattress Firm to purchase a mattress. Their prices are far too marked up and there are plenty of great mattresses available online at a lower price.

Then we never even received a bill for 6 months thinking maybe because our order wasn’t complete. We have our original invoice with all the things we had ordered, bed, base, pillows, sheets. We called several times to get the rest of our order and they never returned calls or even tried to reach out. Of course until then realized we had not paid for anything yet. Then they sent us our bill which didn’t match the original invoice at all.
Even after calling to get it straighten out and complete our order they said there is nothing we can do. So all in all they make up invoices, have a hard time delivering to your house, and refuse to help even when you have your original invoice in your hand. So a year later, we still haven’t received our full order, had to pay for the invoice they made up, and they still have never tried to correct anything. I would not recommend this company at all. If I could get negative stars I would. I hope this review reaches someone of power so they can see how terrible they treat people.

I purchased a Stearns and Foster mattress online from Mattress Firm. They brought me a mattress that smell like it is filled with hard boiled eggs shells it stunk. I aired it for 3 days plus it's hard like concrete. I noticed when I was making the bed a tag hanging almost off so I went ahead and pulled it off. Remember now I planned on keeping this mattress. But since my air purifier in my bedroom was picking up a smell from the mattress every time I uncovered it. The air purifier turned red and was staying red.
Well I waited today for the exchange mattress the delivery guy came he even said he smell the bad smell coming from the mattress. But the tag the said that it can be removed by the consumer which is me. Oh he wouldn't take it back. Mind you now I only had this mattress for 3 days counting today. No one ever told me not to remove the tag. I think they brought me a used bed and the tag was no on properly to begin with.
DO Not BUY A MATTRESS from this company. I paid for the mattress upfront not financed and look how they did me. They gave me a mattress that was smelling like hard boiled eggs shells stinking and refused to accept it back because the tag that was at the top of the mattress under the headboard and I couldn't see it or move that very heavy mattress so I just pulled the piece of paper off they are not right. Please do not do business with them. I am going to seek legal counsel. The tag said that the consumer could remove it. I am the consumer. No one from mattress firm ever told me that I should not remove it.

Do not buy anything from Ashley Anderson in Fairfield Mattress firm store, Went in on Presidents Day sale, 2/17/20 and purchase 2 mattresses both qualified for the free adjustable base. But she keep trying up sale on the motorized base saying the free one is too flimsy. Went back 5 days later to try to claim the free adjustable base and said it was not possible because the sales has been done already. That's unheard of. I am required to return the mattress at 20% restocking fee and delivery fee & to re-purchase the mattresses to be able to receive the free adjustable base. That is just ridiculous. She told us on the day of purchase if we decided we wanted it we can come back and get it. Now all of a sudden there is all these fees... Do not recommend coming to this shady business.

My husband and I have been wanting to switch to a king sized bed for some time. I saw the ad for President's Day, where you could purchase a King for the price of a queen. Perfect sale in our mind. I did my research on mattresses and the adjustable bases. We finally decided on a set and purchased it. I received the confirmation email saying it was purchased, and that they would be in contact with a phone call and email to confirm the delivery time and address.
Delivery day comes around and I still haven't received a call or email from anyone saying that the mattress set would be delivered. I called the customer service line and was on hold for 47 minutes before someone came to the line. I informed the agent of my issue at hand, and she placed me on hold once again to find out the issue. She comes back and tells me that only part of my order came through, and that she had to do some deeper digging to find out what happened. I was on hold for another 12 minutes when she came back. She told me that our purchase couldn't be delivered today due to a processing order of the mattress being out of stock again, even though it was in stock the day prior. She told me she wanted to help me find another mattress similar, but had to call me back in 30 minutes when she got it taken care of. I agreed to this, assuming it would be an easy fix.
Time passes and she calls me back. She found out the warehouse had the original mattress in stock and we could get it delivered on two other dates. I informed her that since we had planned on the set being delivered on the original day, we had disassembled the mattress at home, and had the space ready for the new one. Being 8 months pregnant, I kind of planned on having a mattress to sleep on. I asked if we could have just go pick it up, in which she responded she would check if we could.
The warehouse is two hours from our home, but we just wanted to go ahead and get it taken care of. She informed me that we would in fact be able to go pick it up today, just as long as we were okay with getting it ourselves. I told her I would double check with my husband, but we should be okay. She told me she would call me back at 11:30, to confirm the pick up time at the warehouse. Not a problem, assuming this problem was just solved. 12:20 rolls around and still no phone call. So I decided to call the customer service line again to at least figure out a time to go pick up our purchase. At the time of this writing, I have been on hold waiting for someone to come pick up the line for 1 hour and 35 minutes. While waiting for someone, I decided to do an online chat with someone to see if I could sort it out there.
I chatted with her for a little while, and while she was not a very happy agent, she couldn't come to a solution with our problem at hand. So, we decided to cancel our order and get a full refund due to the lack of organization and quality service for our purchase. This is definitely the worst experience I have ever had with an online purchase and customer service representatives. I will never recommend Mattress Firm to anyone, unless they want below mediocre service.

My husband and I purchased an adjustable bed frame. 5 p.m. the night prior to delivery I was informed that the bolts we special ordered for the headboard did not come in and that they had no idea when they would come in. I was very disappointed and asked to speak with a manager. I was told no one was available (which I later learned was completely true because the company takes no accountability). The salesperson tried emailing area managers but was advised that they probably won't respond because they were taking a long President's day holiday. So I was given the customer service number. After listening to and going through 12 prompts, I was circled back to the prompt and the recording advised I call the retail store I purchased from. I was frustrated because no one was able to provide an answer as to when my bed frame would be in. Meanwhile they had my money.
I will never make a purchase from Mattress Firm again and I will never recommend them. I would expect to get minimal service if I purchased online. However, my experience with companies like Wayfair and Amazon's customer service has been nothing short of excellent. Please think carefully before making a purchase in this chain of stores. Patricia

Hello. First, let me prefix this review that the mattress we purchased from Mattress Firm is fine. No problems there. The issue stems from the sheets for the mattress. We recently purchased the INTELLIbed mattress on 01/20/2020, which is deeper than a normal for a King size bed. Part of the deal we got had some premium sheets and sheet cover included with the bed. These sheets were to be delivered within a few days as they don’t carry them in stock in the showroom. First sheets arrive. The wrong type but sheet cover fits. The sheets we received were for a split king bed. As our bed isn’t split, I called our sales rep, Jesse, to inform up of the mix-up. I stop by and drop the wrong sheets off. Jesse was apologetic and informed me he would have new sheets sent out right away.
A week later, we received pillowcases, pillows, and no sheets. I call Jesse again and inform up of the mix-up. He has me stop by another Mattress Firm store to pick up regular King sheets until the correct sheets are delivered. I pick up the sheets, but as they aren’t the right size, they don’t correct. The third time, we receive the WRONg sheets, yet again for a split King. I’m frustrated at this point. My wife goes and drops the sheets off where Jesse again, was apologetic but frankly, at this point, I don’t care. I finally broke down and purchased some sheets off Amazon that FIT. I’m still trying to get the correct sheets at this point, but now I feel like Jesse is avoiding us and not fulfilling in providing the sheets part of the deal. If you purchase this bed, get your sheets elsewhere. Save you some time and effort.

Issue was resolved by manager on 2/4/20 who is setting up a time to swap out the frame that was delivered for the one that was demonstrated and sold to us in the store.

After many years of having the same bed, decided to make a change. Went to Mattress Firm in Latham NY on 2/1/20. Salesman was very friendly in store and asked a lot of questions about how we slept, any issues we had, etc. Noted that I had back pain and he suggested an adjustable bed frame and demonstrated the massage feature on it. Also mentioned to my girlfriend that it has underbed lighting which is helpful if she stores clothes/shoes under the bed for extra storage. The salesman quoted a price on the mattress and frame which I agreed to. Signed all of the paperwork and the next day the mattress/frame were delivered. After delivery people left, I noted that there was no massage feature or underbed lighting.
Called Mattress Firm thinking the wrong frame was delivered. Person in store said it was the correct frame and apologized if salesman sold me on a different bed frame but the price I paid was for a lower model. At no time did the salesman mention that was the case and in fact he told us that we would really enjoy the extra features that we don't have. Was told on 2/2/20 that a manager would be contacting us that day to talk more about the issue that we had but 2 days later and still haven't heard from anyone. Feel like there was bait and switch on this purchase and when spending $5K on a mattress/frame they should provide the mattress/frame they sold me on!

What a waste of time, money and energy on a product. The sales staff is only chasing a commission sale and very unsure of the products they’re selling. Don’t buy the products offered sold by this company unless you're interested in getting railroaded with the fast sales gimmicks and unreliable products that don’t last. The warranty that is offered is very misleading, and the company that handles it will treat you as a inconvenience to them. If you're shopping for a quality sleeping product don’t waste your time in a Mattress Firm store.

I purchased a mattress and box spring a year ago. All was well. Later part of 2019 I noticed an issue with my box spring. Reported the issue as required by the company and they agreed my box spring needed to be replaced. I got my box spring at a discounted price $110 to be exact, I was then told in order to exchange it I had to pay the actual price $150 for the box spring. I didn't understand that. Whatever I bought it for should be what I get it for now. Even exchange. The store ran a sale then so why should I cover the extra money to replace a defective box spring along with a delivery charge. I was willing to pay for the delivery which included removal of the box spring but not the extra as they wanted. I feel it's unfair and my box spring should have been honored the way I initially purchase it. You had 30 days to complete this exchange transaction and now I 'm beyond. It appears MF will not do this fairly. Dissatisfied.

Made no sense to me because hygiene issues were used as reason for no refund but I could exchange it. If hygiene was reason for not being able to get a refund than hygiene should have been a reason for not to exchange it. It is my opinion that consumers should consider not shopping at Mattress Firm.

Updated on 09/30/2020: We purchased a Simmons Greenmont Plush Hybrid mattress From The Mattress Firm in August of 2018. For the sum of $1800. After approximately 9 months of usage, we noticed ruts beginning to form on each side of the mattress. The ruts caused a hard ridge to form in the middle of the mattress which made it uncomfortable to sleep on and difficult to even roll over.
We filed a detailed and time consuming warranty request with The Mattress Firm including a number of pictures that they requested. We received a response very quickly stating that the mattress conformed to their specifications. Next, I sent this letter to Simmons directly via their web site. They responded quickly saying that the mattress was actually made by Serta.
I wrote Serta and guess what? They wanted a detailed description of the flaws complete with photos and measurements. I no longer had the original data I had sent Mattress Firm and I was so weary from this debacle that I did not send them this data, reasonably certain they would respond the same as The Mattress Firm. Based on my experience with these 3 firms, I feel that their guarantees are worthless and the customer is the loser. Do not buy. I am out $1800 and they have lost a customer.

Buyer beware! Mattress Firm the first thing that I noticed that I noticed that the Black Friday signs were still up. I met Anthony and we first checked out firmness and I decided that the Medium was best as he did. He took me to a Serta medium which I really liked, but the price was on sale at $699.00 with a free base. He said to me, "Too bad you didn't come in on Black Friday and you would've only paid $600.00." So I asked if it is still good because the sign is still up on the door and he said no I would not qualify for that price because the sale is over for Black Friday. Then why is the sign still on the door. So I let that go.
Found another one, which was at the $600.00 range with free base. So I agreed on that one. I wanted to pay in three installments and they offer Progressive Leasing, so we tried three to four times with my two different credit cards. They kept denying and I know that I had money on both cards. We called the company and still had issues, so I decided to pay in full with my debit. Went through no problem. Delivery was set for that Sunday 12/8/19, I thought that is pretty good considering how busy the season can be.
Within an hour I get a phone call from Anthony stating that the bed was sold at the same time that he was selling it to me. Why did that happen? It should've flagged in the computer and he shouldn't have taken any of my money. He stated that he was checking around at their other stores to find another one, so I agreed. I get a phone message, but wasn't aware that he called so I decided to call the Warwick store. The guy Reggie answered and was so rude. I was trying to see if I could try to get the other bed in place since my bed was sold, and all he kept saying is the placement of every item in the store. I kept trying to let him know which bed it was, but he kept rudely interrupting me. So I asked him which store was Anthony in several times. He wouldn't tell me. The last thing that he said was that he would have him contact me and rudely hung up on me.
So I contacted customer service and they had Josh the District Manager contact me. He said that he would address my issue with Reggie. In the meantime, I tried to get more off on my order because of all the mishaps and attitude from Reggie. Anthony contacted me and gave me a $500.00 two pillows, mattress cover and sheets for$200.00. I thought that is a pretty good deal. So I paid the difference over the phone. Anthony stated delivery would be on 12/13/2019 and that I would get a robo call the day before.
Here is Thursday nighttime and not one phone call. I even contacted Anthony earlier that day to see if the bed was delivered to the Warwick store from Quincy MA and he said that it was coming in. Next morning of my delivery, still no phone call. So I contacted Anthony and he said that it will be out for delivery today 12/13/19 and that if I don't receive a phone call by 4pm that day, to contact the store. Well I with my instincts knew something wasn't making me feel good about receiving my paid in full product that day. So I contacted the store and spoke to George. He said that he would check and call me back. I spoke with him again and what do you know, my instincts were right on. Not even out for delivery and not one phone call. I requested a full refund right away and that I am done.
George called me back and stated that Josh approved my credit back, but only $762 and change and the rest when I bring to the store what they shipped to me. So I went in on the 14th and saw Anthony and the first thing that he says to me is that these items are not returnable. I stated wait a minute, I never received my delivery yesterday and he looked pretty shocked. I told him what happened and he contacted George and he refunded back my $214.00. I do know that Anthony is not at fault for all the warehouse communication, but I believe that a Sales person should make sure that everything did happen and if not, the consumer should be notified. I will never step into that store again! Like Share.

Third When contacting Mattress Firm we were instructed to keep the old mattress indoors and it would be picked up that evening or the next day. Upon returning home from work the following day the mattress remains in the entrance of my home blocking entrance to my garage and interfering with any in/ out to my house. We had gone into our local Mattress Firm to buy an adjustable bed for one of our new homes. We received the bed on 12/1/18. We had noted that there was a light odor at the time, however attributed it to maybe being new, and possibly the motor part of the adjustable box spring. We lived in the house 2 months and went to our other home (as we flip homes for a living and I stage them all for sale afterwards).
We returned back here to Florida 2 weeks ago, however the smell now in the bedroom (and it's not the mattress) is coming from the base.!!! It literally smells toxic. We've had to sleep in the other room on an air mattress to avoid getting sick. Our dog began "choking", and has to be kept out of there as he now needs a hydrocodone cough syrup! And I got pneumonia!
I called the company booklet 1-800 # provided, when they delivered the bed. They gave me a booklet with a serial # and frame code. When I called they were going to send a tech. out to see what's going on, however they asked me to send them a copy of my sales receipt. I did forward it. I have a "RIZE THE EDGE HT ADJUSTABLE BED FRAME". The company representative phoned me and said "Matress Firm gave you the wrong box spring. Your sales slip says you purchased a L&P 100 SERIES ADJUSTABLE BASE QUEEN ADJUSTABLE BASE".!!!
They gave us the wrong base!!! And too make it worse I paid $899-!!!! The smell is definitely from the base. It literally smells like burning rubber or like a tire shop.!!!! The smells toxic, and I guess I will end up throwing it out, but buyers BEWARE!!! THAT DAY WE MOVED IN, everything was being delivered in one day, furniture, appliances, etc.... So honestly I wouldn't have known the difference until now., As I said we never bought an adjustable base, and figured it was the hydraulics, as first we last year attributed it to being new, but in 7 months and we returned. When I complained, they asked for the box spring tag. I removed it when the bedding was first added. Well, it does say not to be removed, except by the consumer!! As it turns out, that VOIDED MY WARRANTY!! How is that possible? I have my receipt and they have my records, but they can't prove that is their mattress. UNBELIEVABLE! We purchased our Dreambed Lux LX670 back in May around Memorial day weekend for $2524 with three base and warranty, and explained to Paul we were renovating our home and could pay for the mattress but would need them to keep it stored away until our renovations were completed, and Paul agreed to it and explained they do it often. Fast forward to November we visit the store speak to a Manager, who looks on the computer and sets the delivery because Paul was not there. They schedule the delivery of the mattress for Thursday and everything is set, good to go right?
Well three days later Paul "the crook" ** calls us and tells us our mattress was damaged in storage, and nothing can be done about it, they do not have another mattress like it, and nothing can be done, and we need to come get a refund. We visit the store to meet him in person and he tells us they have another mattress sort of like the one we had paid for but it's in Fort Walton and will take a couple weeks to get here, just for us to see it!
We asked to see the mattress and that we may be okay with its condition because as you may be assuming we think ** sold our mattress to someone else for more money and giving us a story now, we never got to see the "damaged brand new" mattress and ** was not able to get his manager on the phone to resolve this issue, get us a replacement or make the situation right. Terrible customer service and lack of caring about the customer!
This type of service explains exactly why Mattress Firm had to file Bankruptcy, keep sales people like Dirty ** working for the company and he will ensure they completely close the doors; hope this review reaches the right people in corporate headquarters to address ** and his manager's actions. You have lost a long term customer who will never return.

I walked in just to price but desperately needed a mattress for a while and always wanted to try a Tempur-Pedic. Tempur-Pedic and Mattress Firm seem to not be a good pair. I am spending hours on the phone and visiting the store receiving conflicting information. I called to register my mattress and was told I was sold the wrong mattress protector and that it works against the technology and my warranty. I cannot get a good night's sleep because I am not sure if I am wasting thousands of dollars.
Good customer service can only be if the companies are in sync. I will be calling again next week. At this point I will only be comfortable if I receive information in writing, not sure who I can trust. Right now I feel like we got your money, now we just want you to spend more. I need information. They also brought the wrong manual. Nobody has the manual. They are offering to e-mail it but I am old. I want something I can pull out of my drawer with pictures and instructions. I would also appreciate better customer care, not the people but of the company and their policies.

Went in as this company sells purple and wanted to experience it. Had only planned on upgrading the mattress and never experience an adjustable frame. We felt so well taken care of we did not even go look at other brands or stores. From the moment we walked in, Levon, the store manager of the Ypsilanti MI store, greeted us and made us feel welcome and made sure we experienced the range of not only purple but options for frames. Since current bed is 20 years old and standard frame, much as changed. There is a lot of tech now in sleep hardware and the experience is like buying a car with all the selection + financing options and sales. In our case we did not have the high pressure that would be associated with car purchases sometimes.
Our case was unique in that we went through some adjustments in model/s decided before delivery. We deciding to upgrade bed frame, changing some things etc. Levon was there all the way and excellent communication and assistant as changing terms and items around requires good knowledge and patients. He obviously knows his stuff. Since I live halfway between Ann Arbor area and Toledo, did go in to a mattress firm in OH to check on the mattress I would be getting, for one last feel even though Mattress Firm has an in-home 120 days trial. The employee in that store knew of Levon and talked well of him as a great person to be working with. Knowing he is even respected by fellow workers in others stores says something. Delivery was on time and professional. Highly recommend this store and working with the manager there.

Worst experience ever. I proceeded to purchase a mattress on Labor Day because of their holiday offer. They gave a mattress for the price of a smaller mattress (for instance a queen size for the price of a twin), free adjustable frame and a free purple pillow (value of $99). So I put down a $40 - $50 deposit. 2 weeks later I get a call saying that they no longer had that mattress and that I should come in to pick another. I had originally purchased the first mattress from a lovely young women. I went to the store and met Sean who said he could certainly accommodate me with the same deal and credited my deposit right back which was there in 1 hour.
A few days later I went to the store and he showed me a comparable mattress, included the adjustable frame and told me that they no longer made the purple pillow. He attempted to add another $29 pillow but it just would not go through. I gave him my credit card thinking it was the same deposit and he took out the full amount. I did not realize it until I got home and realized there was not enough in the debit account. I called him and asked if I could split it between 2 cards and he said just deposit more into the account. I asked why he took the whole thing and he said he had to cause he gave me such a good deal. I tried to resolve and he said I can just cancel it.
I went back a week or 2 later and met the young woman again to confirm the date, address, etc. and mentioned that Sean could not put through a pillow and she said let me look and a second later it was in...free purple pillow. On the day of delivery (I was moving and had the movers coming the next day) I noted on my receipt that they had my landline from old address and I would be at the new place. Delivery was 1:30 to 3:30. I called Sean that morning to give him my cell number and he said don’t worry they did not need it and he said just look out for the truck. I don’t know why I didnt insist but he assured me that it was ok. I asked when they would come and he looked it up and said around 3:20. And so I waited till 3:30 and no mattress.
I called Sean and he said oh they were there for 20 minutes and they couldn’t find you and they went to the main office and found your bldg but you wouldn’t answer the door. I am in a new development with 2 bldgs, door bell with my name and only 10 residents on the list. All they had to do was push the button…. shocking. He also said you did not have a doorbell (brand new bldg..bell works fine).
I’m on the first floor and I can see the parking lot... It’s right there. A large unbranded truck came by and parked at the construction site down the road. He said, "I told you to look out for the truck." He said, "We’ll come tomorrow." I told him that my movers were coming. He said, "We’ll come Wednesday," and I had planned this accordingly so the new mattress would be here before the movers and I would have it ready. I thought about it that night and decided I did not want to deal with this … if these folks were not able to ring a doorbell then I should cancel. And I did.
Sean kept saying well they did not have your phone number and you did not have a bell and we can certainly just deliver on Wednesday. He also said we cannot give you any more discounts. I told him if you gave me this for half price, I would still cancel. Now I’m starting to think he’s not going to refund my $$ so I ask, “you are going to refund me?” It’s over $1,000. He says yeah I’ll put it through. This was on a Monday. On Thursday I call and the phone rings for about 25 times and then hangs up, I do it again and it hangs up again.
I am relentless and finally a friendly voice answers and its Sean and I ask why my refund has not come. He says “I put it through on Monday” and then silence. I say it’s not there. Silence. Him: "Oh let me look," and he starts humming and not for a few seconds... He goes on and on. Him: "Yes I put it through," / and silence. Me: "Well it’s not there." Him: "Well I don’t know what to say." Then he asks if I’d like the corporate # which I say yes but I hope it doesn’t just tell me to call the store back. He says, "Well I don’t know." I called it and it was the # for delivery. Lo and behold, it’s Friday and there is the credit. Beware of Sean ** at the Andover Mattress Firm.

Make sure to talk to a supervisor. Do not print bank statements from home. Do not hand write anything on your bank statement or it will be rejected. Now I have to go directly to the bank and have to fax again. At the Texas State Fair, Mattress Firm was on location to save us more money than we could get at the store. Montana **, Sales Manager, out of the Carrollton, Texas location was assisting us. First he showed us the Purple Mattress, and then after I said I wanted to see something else, he asked what my husband and I was looking for. He told us he had plush, ultra plush, and ultra, ultra plush in the Beautyrest Hybrid. He took me to the as he said Ultra plush mattress, which was the Beautyrest Black Hybrid. We tested it, and we said we'd think about it, and he put the pressure on. We didn't come there looking for a mattress, however, we were going to start looking soon, so with an ultimate deal that beats the stores (as he said), he offered us the Black Hybrid Ultra Plush (King size- as this is what we currently slept on) for $4600.
He told us it was all inclusive... he said, King Beautyrest Black Hybrid Ultra Plush mattress/adjustable base, plus tax and all for $4600. We clarified before we agreed. Customers don't know the names specifically until the salesman tells us, but he assured us this was the deal. We signed the paperwork. That was on Friday (10/18/2019). Thursday of the next week (10/24/2019) it was delivered and they took our mattress. When I got home the next day (10/25/2019), my husband said it felt uncomfortable like a firm mattress. His back was hurting. I said, "Let me try it," so we slept there that night.
The next day we looked online, checked our paperwork, and discovered they'd logged in and given us the wrong bed. As we'd filled out paperwork the lending company allowed my husband a certain amount and myself a certain amount so together we could get a loan for it. Montana said it's going to show the mattress as part of it and the free adjustable base as the other half so that it will go through all together. Come to find out as we looked online, Montana charged us for the Ultra plush and switched it to the plush (which feels like a firm mattress)... so we got the Alcove instead of the only Ultra Plush Beautyrest Black Hybrid on the website, which is called the K-Class (what we were supposed to receive).
We've been talking to them for 3 days now trying to get what we paid for, and they are giving us the runaround. They won't give us our mattress back and cancel the deal, since they refuse to charge us and give us what we agreed upon. Montana is giving us the runaround. Logan **, Sales Manager (we believe) is giving us the runaround, and we want either what we agreed to pay for or our mattress and a cancelled contract.
THESE PEOPLE ARE BIG TIME SCAMMERS. They take advantage of the customers and charge us $4600 for a $2899 mattress and free base. I have pictures for proof. I warn everyone... Montana ** and Logan ** have given us the runaround. I want to cancel the sale and get my property back. The picture shows the sale on the Alcove and the free gift was an adjustable base. I have more pictures for proof, but this would only allow me to put what I received, but as you can see it's a far stretch from $4600. That's divided into $2338.68 and $2261.32 = $4600. We would never pay over $2000 for a free adjustable base. SCAM CENTRAL RIGHT HERE.
We're stuck with a mattress we didn't ask for, and suddenly the one that they advertise is not available. We do not want to pay for this mattress/adjustable base (that's supposed to be free), because we agreed to the K-Class Ultra Plush. By the way, he even told me there was an ultra ultra plush, but when I asked to see it, he said he didn't want us to be too soft and that we'd sink into it. COME TO FIND OUT THERE IS NO ULTRA ULTRA PLUSH ON THE WEBSITE, SO IT PROBABLY DOESN'T EVEN EXIST. ****The capital letters are to stress what I'm saying not to yell.****

Problems started back in August when the bed plus THE adjustable base were suppose to be delivered. We ordered a purple 4 that was scheduled to be delivered Aug 13th, & we only found out it was not happening when I reached out the Monday before the day it was going to be delivered. Mattress Firm customer service only then informed me that they did NOT have the bed in stock & they will reschedule the delivery as soon as they could (admittedly beds were being delivered to the warehouse on Tuesday, they just didn't know when and if they had enough for all the orders). After several texts, a few phone calls to my sales rep, he finally responded with a date of delivery for the bed. His apology for not getting back to us in timely manner was a personal manner, understandably life happens, but it was a failure on his part for not assigning his customers to a back up person when issues came up.
We are now dealing with attempting to exchange the bed for the past month and a half with no resolution in sight. I've called and texted my sales rep, with only a single response back. I've called Mattress Firm customer service only to be told NO case was opened by my sales rep to exchange the bed. And a manager would be in touch to resolve the issue. No manager has called. This was back at the beginning of October 2019. My case is still open, I've called customer service with no update to the lack of bed in the district warehouse that supplies my area & no date as to when one will be found ANYWHERE in the country apparently to be sent to my district.
I have a difficult time that with such a popular mattress (purple) that there are ZERO to be found ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY. I'm the one chasing answers as to where my exchange is & when. No one can tell me anything, my sales rep no longer returns my calls or texts. The customer service line can't give me any answers other than there are no updates, and they also can't get in touch with my sales rep. It shouldn't take over a month to exchange a mattress. There should be communication from customer service providing updates, even if its to say, they have nothing in stock, but some are ordered etc. I will be returning my mattress, my platform, and getting my $5K back.

I am extremely dissatisfied and disgusted with Mattress Firm. This is actually the SECOND mattress we purchased from them and we are having the same issue with the second one as we had with the first one. Let me set the record straight, my and my spouse's weight are a combined 250 pounds! We cannot understand why it is that our mattress is sinking under us. The same thing happened with the first mattress. Yes, this is the SECOND mattress we have purchased from them that has the same defect as the first one. I am asking myself if Mattress Firm is refurbishing their mattresses and re-selling them as brand-new mattresses? Oh, one very important fact... the mattress is not even 5 years old!
I contacted Mattress Firm with the first defective mattress. They advised me to file a claim which I did. They sent the claim to an independent Mattress Inspection Firm who sent out a mattress inspector. The inspector's finding was that the mattress was defective. It was sagging. I could literally see the sagging/dent in the mattress when the inspector put his ruler across the mattress. The first mattress we only had about a year and a half. Once the Inspector submitted his report they contacted me but they did not refund us our money, instead, they gave us a "Store Credit".
After the Sinking/Sagging issue with the first mattress and we went into the store with the "store credit", of course by then the mattresses were more expensive which meant we had to add additional money for the new purchase. Once we explained to the salesperson what the issue was that we had with the defective mattress he suggested we get something firm. Of course, he guaranteed the mattress was of great quality that had a minimum of 8-10 years of durability. We believed him, he was the expert and of course, we ended up having to add a few hundred dollars more for this supposed better quality mattress. September of this year made 3 years since we've had the firm better quality mattress... and what do you know... the mattress is SINKING once again!
I did what I did the last time and submitted a claim and believe it or not, the same mattress inspector that came out the last time came out again this time. He remembered me before I remembered him! Again, I could see the sinking in the mattress as he did the inspection. He concluded the inspection and submitted his report. Mattress Firm emailed me and said they were "voiding" the warranty because stains were found in the product. There are absolutely NO stains in my mattress, they just don't want to compensate me. At this point, I just want a full refund. I do not trust them to purchase another mattress from them.
Please be careful when purchasing your mattress from Mattress Firm! The question still remains in the back of my mind... Is Mattress Firm Refurbishing their damaged products and re-selling them as a brand new product? I am happy for those of you whose experience with Mattress Firm was better and more satisfying than mine was.

Went to use the credit as the same mattress is not available any more, the smaller one which has $1400 range, I can't buy because it said in the letter, it is toward a regular price only, not discount or sale price, which means I will pay more money to buy the mattress if I used the credit than if I bought it normal with the sale price. Does that make sense? So why I am getting the credit? And differently, you will never knows these rules when you buy the mattress, they only say it has warranty.

Hello, I bought a mattress at the Mattress Firm at the beginning/ middle of July here in Manchester, New Hampshire. Had it delivered to my home around the 13th of July. My old mattress laid on my floor and we never had ANY problems. I was freshly home from Pennsylvania and I was relaxing in bed with my boyfriend and just so happened to catch a glimpse of something on the wall and all I could think was oh god a tick! (They’re awful here.) I asked my boyfriend to see what it was and when he looked he said “oh god, how did a tick get in here.” I jumped up and checked and it was way worse than a tick! A bed bug. I was appalled and prayed for it to be a lone straggler.
We had an exterminator come and do an inspection, he found none in the mattress I bought from the mattress firm.. but found a BUNCH in the base. Bed bugs can not climb metal, it is a known fact. Which means a bed bug infested mattress was placed on my “new” adjustable base, untreated, and then sent to my home and I have a 10 month old baby! I am disgusted.
I called for assistance and was told there were no other reports so they must have came from my home. We had NO bed bugs prior to this purchase. They’re still not in my couch or my spare bed (which is my old mattress that was on the floor exactly where this new base was placed) or my son's bed. We decided to call corporate for further assistance and received none. This experience has been time consuming and very aggravating! I have had to take off multiple days of work for the washing, spraying and bagging of everything I own because I was sent an infested base. DO NOT buy from the mattress firm!

On 8/19/2019 we paid $2,374.78 for a mattress and adjustable base from Mattress Firm. Not the cheapest thing around but we thought it was worth it. The promised delivery date was scheduled for September 10th. This day came and went with no call, no email, no notice of any kind that our mattress would not be delivered. I called the salesman and was told that there had been a mixup at the warehouse and that our mattress was not available but would be delivered September 16.
Yesterday the mattress arrived and based on the condition of this mattress we refused delivery. This thing had at least one hole that we found, and was dirty on both sides of the mattress - like picked up on the side of the road dirty. So as soon as this happens I call to get a refund and the salesman apologized then promised a full refund. (I’m thinking that’s mighty thoughtful of ya man.) When I check the bank at 5pm today looking to confirm the refund I see that once again the Mattress Firm has failed to deliver. I call the salesman to ask what happened. He says a refund will take another 5-7 days.
This is unacceptable. The money they took from my account for a mattress they took a month to FAIL TO DELIVER is not something I am willing to tolerate giving them use of for another week. When I contacted customer support I was invited by Megan to submit a form and request a faster refund. This means that after THEY mess up, THEY kept my money for a month. THEY FAILED TO DELIVER AS AGREED. I am required to fill out paperwork so THEY will do their job and refund money they have not earned. This company is a disaster and I would highly recommend avoiding them at all costs. I’ve posted photos on Facebook, the Mattress Firm website and yelp so far. I completed the form, took the pictures as requested and returned the form with the pictures as required.
I then receive response saying more information is required. It stated there were 11 more pieces of information required. One of which was a short video of the mattress. It also stated that I was to remove the mattress and take pictures of the tags then lay a stick across the mattress and take more pictures. I am a 84 year old man and removing the mattress is not a option. If this was not possible then someone could could come to my home to inspect this mattress for a cost of $79. Then I was told there was no one in my area that could do this. I live in the Chicago area?? So my question is this...what good is the warranty??? Anyone have the phone number of the Better Business Bureau??

I just got screwed by mattress firm. I paid 2753.88 for a mattress and base on Labor Day weekend and I hate the mattress 2 days later so I called them and between all their stupid return fees they say I will get back $922.42 for the $1999.00 mattress and cannot return the base which I paid $599.00 for which was on sale from $1099.00 of which I was not told. The base is lousy as it pushes you away from your nightstand by 1 foot! Never told that! He just said $599 for base. Well when wanting to return mattress my refund was debited the $500 sale amount I got for base since mattress was returned. Sneaky!! So I paid $1099.00 for a cheap base! Those thieves are only out for themselves and not customers.
I will seek EVERY avenue, the press and everywhere else I can to expose these thieves! I hope to stop even one person from buying from there. Then he called cops cuz I told him over the phone he will burn in Hell for cheating people. Cops called and lectured me, haha. So I guess that must be a threat nowadays? Anyway I just asked cop to not shop at Mattress Firm!

This company went bankrupt last year and now they refuse to honor legitimate warranty claims. They insist you have to pay $79 for a "3rd party" inspector to come out and inspect your mattress. This is just another scam to milk more money from you. They inevitably declare the warranty is void because of some bogus reason. The mattress I bought less than 2 years ago developed lumps and the coils protrude. Nevertheless their inspector "Clark" in New York City declared that the warranty was voided. They didn't even bother to give me a reason. See you in small claims court!

Mattress Firm would not allow my review for this reason: directs business away. I ordered this on 8/7/2019 & money was taken from a gift card on that date (thought they couldn't take $ till it shipped?), on 8/13/2019 rec'd email from Digital Admin - didn't even open it because I thought it was spam! On 8/18/2019 I tried finding out when it would be delivered and it just showed TBA! On 8/19/2019 I spoke with Customer Service & after learning I could either wait indef or get refunded in 2-3 WEEKS I told them if this were my company I would be rushing a higher quality mattress pad out just for all the inconvenience because they should have known it was not available before I placed the order rather than 10 days later!
If you look on Home Depot it shows the same product on back-order because their staff has their stuff together! Now I'm out the mattress topper and the money won't come back to my gift card for a couple of weeks and I have company coming in 2 weeks so have to find another that can ship in before their arrival. Very poor customer service!!!
Word of advice, if you order anything from them, look elsewhere to see if it's available because their chat room rep said it was available even though I knew it wasn't, and their website allowed me to try and purchase it again, even though it wasn't available, 4 days after they sent the email saying it was on back-order. They still had not updated their inventory!!!

Costco, Amazon, Nectar, Tempurpedic, Casper, any of these companies will sell you a good mattress and related accessories, and take them back if you are not satisfied. Mattress Firm says they will, but that's not true. Read the other negative reviews. They sell you up and get you to pay more than you wanted to for a mattress by offering a FREE ADJUSTABLE BEDFRAME. However, if you choose to return the mattress, you are out $500! ("Free" bed frame is not returnable, so $500 is deducted from the amount you get back). Sheets, pillows, etc. also not returnable. Other companies offer free shipping - not Mattress Firm. You pay for delivery, and you pay delivery and restocking if you want to return. Best thing - don't go in the store...

Purchased Two Twin XL Beautyrest Hybrid Jennings from Mattress Firm along with two adjustable bases plus the sheets & pillow bundle. Spent in the high four figures. Had researched mattresses online, looked at return policy & length of trial period. Have arthritis & fibromyalgia & always sought out quality mattresses. Prior to purchasing the Hybrid Jennings Beautyrest I had a Tempur-Pedic. Decided I would try something a little different. You have to sleep on a mattress for over 30 days to even know if it is right for you. In fact 60-90 days is even better. So when Mattress Firm told me they have an 120 Night Sleep Trial period I thought that was great UNTIL I wanted to exchange my mattresses for a different mattress.
No problem, right?! As long as I paid the $79.99 delivery fee which I could understand PLUS an additional 10% of the price of EACH MATTRESS which they called a restocking fee. Although they told me that they wouldn't be able to sell the mattresses I had so what are they restocking?! Bottom line is if I came out of pocket approximately $600 plus I can get two new Twin XLs of my choice. Bases are not returnable which I found was customary across the board. In short be aware of the fine print & make sure you understand the return or exchange policy of any company you deal with. I trust my high four figure Twin XL beds will please me in the near future for I learned a valuable lesson!

Original: On May 25th I ordered a mattress and adjustable base through Mattress Firm. Amazingly the base arrived on Memorial Day with the understanding that the mattress will take 5-8 business days (once shipped). When I made the purchase it didn't alert me to low stock or a backorder situation. I checked my account for a tracking number a couple days after the base arrived with no results. I started the process of trying to connect via chat and phone - hours of wait on both got me nowhere. The first time I talked to a young man (cs) he told me that there wasn't any info yet (5 days after purchase). I called the next day - same man called me back to say it was in the process of being shipped/label printed and it would be here by Wednesday. AWESOME (better late than never)!
The next morning I checked my account for the tracking number and it didn't exist. When I called back a young lady told me they hadn't produced a shopping label & she had no idea when it would be shipped since it now wasn't in stock! WHAT. Now it's unavailable & on backorder with the window now being weeks to a month! You sold me an item that wasn't in stock without saying so. Wanted a firm mattress. Was sold a plus firm, not knowing that it is not a full firm (because the industry seems to have shifted since the last time I purchased a new mattress and who knew?). 5 weeks in, the mattress began sagging/losing support. Called store, asked that it be taken back, requested no fee for "re-stocking" charge (because, what are they restocking). One rep (nice person) wanted to get it picked up the next day. That would not work for me. I went to the store towards the end of the week (last week - pre Memorial Day). I declined to purchase a different mattress. Requested to speak with her area manager three times (and this wasn't the first time). She called me later that evening and accused me of having a "bad base." Still would not give me information about how to contact her area manager.
Next day, I called the Houston, TX corporate office, got a rep who got the area manager to call me (5/24) and I had to relay the entire saga before that happened. Long story short, he worked it out to have the mattress picked up today (5/29) (as is stated on the paper-work I walked out of the store with, last week) with a full refund, when he called me yesterday (5/28) to confirm. He assured me I'd get a call with a 2-hour pick-up time-frame window. Did not receive a call, could not start my work-day (and attend to additional important business this morning) because I had to again (AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN) call corporate, find a live person (for new sales, press....) who got me to another live person who told me that the store scheduled the pick-up of my mattress for FRIDAY who then got me to another person who is due to reach out to the area manager (as if I trust that this will be her priority).
So yes, I am back on the phone (on hold) again, to get this resolved and gratefully, got the same person I spoke with initially on Friday (not three times) to get this taken care of. As it turns out, there was a tragedy at the warehouse. I was not notified, had to spend way too much time to find out, and now I have neighbors involved to get this out of my small home. The company is so compartmentalized and while store reps are "in the know" about what is taking place, to really get the assistance you need (seemingly at this store/that "manager") one must go "up the ladder" to get results. Way too much time, way too much aggravation and .... go someplace else for your new mattress, because their system is their system is their system and .... too much time, too much aggravation.

I was on a budget and needed a ultra firm mattress, so for approximately 500.00 I was able to get an old school mattress that seemed firm enough. The sales lady was nice enough to include the boxspring.
In 2018, my bed made squeaking sounds every time I sat on it. I turned the mattress which didn’t help. I then looked at the box spring. It was made of cardboard and had caved around the thin wooden slats. So I brought in my hurricane pieces of wood and put the mattress back and it was quiet. So I figured I could live with this. The the wood would shift and it would squeak again. I called mattress firm and asked why the box spring was cardboard, she said something about that particular box spring was a basic model and usually is free with mattresses. She said if I wanted a non-cardboard box spring it would cost 150.00. I now have to rotate the mattress weekly because it has soft spots. I’m still adjusting the wood regularly. Lesson learned. Hope this helps! Thanks.

We were looking to purchase the Tempur-Pedic Cloud-Luxe which is a very expensive mattress but they didn’t have it. We were told by the salesperson that the Tempur-LuxeAdapt was the new version of Cloud-Luxe. This couldn’t be farther from truth, there is nothing LUXE about this bed.
We were NEVER told that the 365 day happiness guarantee was in fact an exchange ONLY policy and that they do NOT give any refunds. Our salesman Zachary was new to the job but he had another salesman Wes there training him and NEITHER one of them told us we couldn’t return it if we were not happy. So what happens when you buy the most expensive mattress that they offer? Well you downgrade and lose the difference or you keep what you bought that you are not happy with, guess there really is no happiness guarantee in this case. So make sure when you walk out of Mattress Firm with a purchase you know what ALL the conditions are. So we threw 4400.00 out the window, and now will have to buy something else from someone else. 6 months after getting our Mattress Firm bed the two front legs blew right off digging into our 8 month old floors. I called Mattress Firm. They referred me to Leggett and Platt who warranties the bed frame. Repairman came and replaced the legs and noticed the two legs that did not break were very loose as if they had never been tightened properly. I was told to call Leggett and Platt about my floor damage after the warranty repair. Leggett and Platt told me that Mattress Firm is responsible as they sold me the bed and also delivered and installed it.
Called Mattress Firm back and was asked to send pictures of the damage which I did. 2 large punctures and a 6 inch very deep scratch. 3 days later they called back and offered me a bed accessory to make up for the damage to my floor!!! A TV remote holder for massive damage to my new floors. I don’t even feel comfortable having this 5k dollar bed on the floors now as it will break again and ruin the floors again after I repair the damage already caused by bad design and bad install. Taking them to court is my only option now.

Yesterday, I went in the store and spoke with April **. She really showed me all types of mattress. She was awesome and she showed that she care. I rate her the number one salesperson. I purchased my mattress a few months ago. I had a problem with it sliding from side to side. I thought it might have to do with the bed skirt I had on it but I finally removed it... Had to actually tear it off as the mattress is too heavy for me to remove any other way. Anyways it didn't help the situation. When I called the Hanover, MA store about it they mentioned putting rubber sheeting between the mattress and stand. This still didn't help. It probably slides about 3 to 4 inches at night but it's a hassle to move it every morning and I'm afraid one of these days I'll actually fall off the bed. I'm well into my seventies so this is a big possibility. The people at the store were not willing to deal with it and say it's never happened before but now that I see all the one star ratings I only wished I had checked here sooner.

I had nothing but good things to say about the experience in the store and at a Home and Garden show where Mattress Firm was on display. I was able to get the product I wanted and am happy with the mattress and the adjustable base. As far as the delivery service that Mattress Firm uses out of Robbinsville, NJ, I would rate them a negative if it was a choice.
The first day, they refused to bring the mattress upstairs as they said it was frozen. The next day, they ripped the mattress on the way up against our banister. The salesperson said he never heard of the mattress freezing and agreed that the delivery men were just lazy. Of course the next week when a new mattress was delivered, they brought it upstairs with no problem. My biggest complaint is that one of the delivery men stole our newspaper. As little as that may seem, what if I didn't watch them in the bedroom and they stole jewelry. I have him on video and was told that Red Carpet Delivery would contact me within 2 days. It has now been 4 days. If you care about the delivery from Red Carpet, watch like a hawk.

I bought 3 sets of mattresses from Mattress Firm. I currently have a king mattress which is sagging so I called them. The guy at customer service said to take a couple pictures of the mattress and go on-line to submit them with the warranty claim. I drive 150 miles to my condo to take the pictures as he instructed. When I log in to submit them I find that I have to take certain photos with their measuring item in them. I also need to take the king size mattress off and take pictures of the box springs and frame. I don't want to drive 150 miles and 3 hours to retake pictures due to their failure to inform me of the pictures I needed from the start.
Customer service won't help. Only says I need to file the proper pictures or pay $80 to them to have a third party respond out to take them. This is poor customer service to not stand behind their product or help me out since their customer service rep gave the wrong info. I don't think a major company would go broke to forget the $80 fee for one of their employee's errors. Or just replace the mattress without the photo of the box springs since you can clearly see the sag in the mattress in the photos I have taken.
When I try to talk to customer service about the issue they say go online to take care of the warranty. When I say I will pay the $80 to have them come out to take the 3 photos for me she tells me to go online to file the claim. I don't know why Mattress Firm is paying people to be in the warranty department when they don't help you, won't take the request to have them respond out to take the photos and only keep saying go online. What a waste of money to pay people for nothing.

I did a Review of Mattress Firm 2/27/19 with ONE Star. I have attempted to Update that Review but can't. I am changing my overall Rating to 3 Stars. Today, 3/1/19, Robert **, our salesman came out on his own time and he and I figured out how to attach the 2 L & P bases to our headboard. Robert was VERY GRACIOUS and it indeed requires TWO people to accomplish this task and he and I managed to get it done - more to his ability than mine as I am older. He personally is worthy of 5 stars. He came out on his own time and without company compensation.
TL Logistics still deserves less than ONE star and I would personally not buy anything from anyone who uses TL Logistics Delivery Service out of Greenville, SC. I will be writing a review on just TL Logistics as soon as I can ensure I have the absolute correct name. They deliver for Mattress Firm in Spartanburg, SC and other furniture companies and possibly other retail stores who provide delivery of their products.
Original Review: Feb. 27, 2019
Bought 2 L&P Adjustable Bases, King Beauty Rest Mattress from MF of Spartanburg and just had delivered. Mattress has mark on it. No biggie, I guess since it will be covered. Delivery by TL Services of Greenville, SC. Delivery HORRIBLE! Guys not only had NO idea how to connect and synchronize the 2 Bases but actually argued that it could NOT be done and have both remotes work. WRONG!!! I called L&P in the Delivery Guys presence and they said - "Of Course, they CAN!" Salesman had ASSURED us delivery would attach our headboard to the bases and remove old frame. NOT! Two delivery guys said they had 12 deliveries today and they needed to leave. Told them if they couldn't program correctly, take back and put ours back on bed.
Called Robert **, our salesman, and reminded him I had told him before purchase I HATED misunderstandings so ensure that delivery included attaching our headboard to bases, synchronizing the 2 remotes, showing us how to program the remotes for the various settings, removing the old mattress and box springs, etc. "Absolutely" he assured us! Well, here we are. We can return and start all over somewhere else - or "Suck it up"! He (Robert) initially said bases would be connected to our headboard if he had to come out himself and do it. NOW, 3 hours later, he can't come out for "Legal reasons" as a MF employee. And he didn't know it but TL Contract Services had changed their policy on attaching headboards as they had damaged one recently. Had to pay for it, and decided they would NOT touch customers furniture in the future!
Hope MF can stay in business on ONE sale per customer. Lastly, I'm a big Amazon fan! I could have ordered these L&G bases and mattress for less money; had free delivery to my door; purchased for less; and then used my Amazon Card for a 5-10% CREDIT back to my Amazon account. BUT, I thought I might should buy something this expensive locally so if ANY problem came up, I could just call Robert at my local Mattress Firm and it would be taken care of! So much for that logic!!! BTW, I called L&P while installers on site. VERY HELPFUL! Great product! L&P 5 Stars! M. Firm 3 Stars. Delivery by TL Services NEGATIVE STARS!!!

This is the first time my husband and I have done business with Mattress Firm and for sure will be the last. We went to them for our first new mattress and had a budget so we thought we would get a good deal. The one we bought was good one but the service we had to deal with was ridiculous. We paid $1100 for this bed and was to have it delivered on a day we was off work. They had called and rescheduled the delivery on two different weeks cause supposedly their delivery truck broke down.
So the third week we was to get it on a Tuesday and our salesman said they would refund our delivery fee because of all the hassle of the rescheduling. He also said they would take our old mattress when they brought the new one. All of that was lies. My husband and I had everything moved and ready and the old bed out so it would be easy for them to bring the old one in. They brought it in and said they couldn’t take the old one cause we took it out of the room! Really?? They said that’s their “rule”. Funny how Tyler our salesman didn’t speak a word of it. And of course we wasn’t refunded our delivery fee for all the **. So thanks a lot mattress firm, we will never do business with you again and sure as hell not recommend you.

I ordered a mattress through their online chat for the president's sale. Was told that the mattress would be shipped so it would arrive on March 8th (so basically Adeline, the lady I talked to said she would tell shipping to hold the order until it gets shipped out on a day that would time it perfectly to arrive on the 8th. She assured me twice that this won’t be an issue). Well, the next day I checked the tracking and it showed that it would arrive February 28th, so a week before I even move into my apartment. I called the hotline, left my phone number twice for a call back but was never called back. On the chat I was told then that they had already sent out my mattress. I asked for an immediate cancellation of the order. I was told I would receive a cancellation email within 24 hours. This was on Friday. It's now Monday evening and I still have yet to receive a cancellation email.
Also I was told on Friday that they requested the sales person to cancel the order. Then on Sunday when I asked about this again, I was told that FedEx was already in possession of my items. The lady requested FedEx to return the items so my cancellation could be processed (why hasn’t this already been done on Friday when I asked for the cancellation?). I waited until today and did an inquiry again. This time I was told that one of my mattress is back on its way to the manufacturer as requested but my other item is still on its way to me. Like what the hell! First of all this was your guy’s fault that this happened but then I have to be on top of the cancellation process, literally checking on it every single day to make sure that the items are actually being returned so I can get my money back. Super frustrated, I just want my money back and be done with this place.

Overall I've had a horrible experience with Mattress Firm. From the delivery being charged on me without notice to a misleading sales agent saying the a bed frame would be included with every purchase no charge. I have phone conversations and also emails between the salesperson and I confirming there would be no restock, no delivery charge, pick up charge or administrative fees if I was not happy with a purple mattress I bought. Mattress came with a special event sales giving customers supposedly a free mattress base. The sales person repeatedly told me that I was to keep the base. It was not returnable. There would be no charge for it and that I had at least a hundred and twenty nights to enjoy the mattress. If I found a mattress to be uncomfortable I could return it for a full refund. The adjustable bed base would be mine to keep.
At no time did the salesperson tell me Mattress Firm would deduct the price of the base if I returned the mattress. I consider this serious business fraud. Never was it pointed out to me in writing or otherwise that the price of the base would be charged to me if the mattress was returned. I have emails between the salesperson and I stating there would be no fees charged or retained if the mattress was returned. The correspondence also states I would get my full 100% refund. Please don't do business with this fraudulent company. The sales agents are out to make a sale and do not care about the customer. They are not trustworthy. It is no wonder why this company has filed for bankruptcy. All I want is to return ALL the merchandise and get 100% refund as promised. I WOULD GIVE THIS COMPANY ZERO STARS IF THAT WAS AN OPTION!

As a consumer, how comfortable the bed would be was not the only selling point. The other selling point was making promises and being assured that those promises are kept. The sales rep clearly stated we would get headboard brackets and that they would be installed. However, this did not happen. Our bed was delivered December 11, 2018. The person who delivered and set up the bed had no knowledge of the brackets so they did not bring any. We phoned the sales rep that we were working with and he promised he would order them and have them delivered and installed. A week or so later the brackets were scheduled for delivery but we weren't going to be home. The person who was to deliver them said they could not leave the brackets on the porch. So they were sent back.
After countless times on the phone with customer service, we got nowhere. We went into a store and they ordered them for us. When we went to pick them up, they were the wrong size. Again, on the phone and again another delivery of the wrong brackets. We now have 2 sets of brackets that we cannot use; the salesperson said use them as book ends and he would send the correct ones and would be delivered on 2/16/19. We waited and waited...we did not get a delivery. We feel that once a bed was sold, it was not important enough for them to keep their promises. A promise that actually got Mattress Firm the sale of a bed that costed over 3K. We have a good bed but cannot use the headboard and very unhappy with the company!

I am now forced to deal with, yet again ANOTHER DEFECTIVE MATTRESS from SLEEPY’S/MATTRESS FIRM... We are on our THIRD mattress after the first TWO were deemed "defective" by a third party inspector and consequently returned/exchanged. I cannot even begin to describe the physical/mental anguish both my wife (140lbs) and I (210lbs) have endured since purchasing our 1st mattress from Sleepy's nearly 10 yrs ago. Make/Model of Current Mattress: BeautyRest Phenom Crossover. Size: King. Price: $1,500.00
Even with proper rotation the integrity of the mattress began to deteriorate shortly after the first year and has gotten progressively worse. Now in year 3, the mattress has lost all support and is virtually UNBEARABLE TO SLEEP/LAY ON. The mattress completely envelopes your entire body sinking no less than 4” along the perimeter and up to 6” closer to the center essentially thrusting your body like a sinkhole into the center of the bed and onto your partner as if you were laying on a slope/angle resulting in countless sleepless nights, chronic back/joint pain.
Although body outlines/indentations are visible of both our bodies in the mattress, given its "pillow top" style, the gel foam ultimately masks the severe manufacturer's defects (support/sinking) and returns the mattress on the surface to an "acceptable" sag of less than 1.5" likely resulting in our claim being denied/declined.
I am unsure if I can stomach and/or am willing to endure yet another warranty battle when I simply wanted nothing more than to get what I paid for originally... A good night sleep on quality mattress that lasts more than 3yrs! Hopefully Mattress Firm/Sleepy’s will see this post, do what is right and willing to quickly resolve this matter. Will update post as appropriate.

We decided to contact our sales rep Parker ** on November 19 2018. At 1st it went well then the excuses started coming. January 13th Parker texts that the Victorian is not going to be in stock to deliver so he offered to exchange another mattress or give a refund we chose a refund. So Parker was supposed to set up a pick up and start the refund process on the 27th of January. It never happened and he will not return my text messages now. It's no wonder this company is going out of business. Numerous years ago, my wife and I bought a Simmons mattress/box spring that had warranty issues and they voided our warranty because there was a stain on the mattress, even though it had absolutely no bearing on the issue. I accepted that even though I was far from happy because there was a stain there for sure.
In 6/2015, we replaced our mattress/box spring with a very high end Simmons product again. We purchased the protect a bed cover from them, in fact I wound up buying two of them. There is not a spot on the mattress. They came out, delivered it and set it up. At the time of setup, I made sure with the guys that my base was sufficient to keep my warranty and what not. They told me I was great where that was concerned and I said wonderful. I even wound up adding even more slats to the frame after they had left. As luck would have it, the sidewall on one side of the mattress has blown out and we sent in everything that was asked of us for the warranty claim. I just received my denial stating that my warranty is void because my bed frame is not sufficient. Mind you, the sidewall has nothing to do with what's under the box spring. In fact, an elephant could get on it and not mess it up, that's how sturdy it is.
I would advise anyone to RUN from Mattress Firm. I have found their dealings with us highly unethical. I would say that this is a factor into why this company is a hair's breath from going out of business. Should they do what is right, I will update this message but at this point, I would strongly suggest finding another place to do business and it looks like I'm far from the only person that has experienced very poor dealing with Mattress Firm.

This is what my comment's about - the Mattress Firm. The company store delivered Hampton & Rhodes Mattress. Came with Box Spring and they delivered them together on 11/2017 and in my life I never thought that I’ve been sleeping with a cardboard box spring. I noticed it before Thanksgiving just less than a year old it started making noise every time I moved so I examined it as I was curious what kind of material or composition they used. What a bad impression that I lift up the box spring and ripped off the black lining at the bottom to see what was the caused of annoying noise so it was a cardboard board box panel.
So to all prospective buyers before you buy the box Spring make sure you ask what kind of brand they will deliver with the mattress. Because the store will not tell you what kind of box spring they will give you part of the price package (mattress and box spring). I chose Hampton & Rhodes brand but not the box spring. They let me apply for a store credit to have purchased a mattress and box spring but it's not worth it - the price they charged me - because the Hampton & Rhodes mattress is not as great than the Serta.
But anyway I was just complaining about the box spring because it put me to sleep uncomfortably because every time I moved it's quacking. I felt like my next door neighbor can hear me - what I've been doing in the middle of the night. It was very embarrassing.I learned a lesson. When buying like that make sure I insured it because in the event that I wasn’t satisfied within a year then I can return it in full credit and get a better quality that don't make noise, and watch the store warranty.
I slept with Serta queen size mattress and box spring since 1996 -2013. Believe it or not the mattress and the spring never changed. It's a great quality. I sold it to Craigslist because I moved to a small apartment and I had no choice but to dispose some of my bedrooms mattress set Because bringing mattress and box spring to move to another city is not practical so I bought a new one. So this is what I got - disappointment from sleeping a cardboard panel box spring. I never thought that My box spring was a cardboard panel underneath the mattress Hampton & Rhodes brand from Mattress Firm store.

My experience with this store started very positively. The sales lady Barbara was very insightful and willing to negotiate to get to a deal we were happy with which included a delivery within a matter of days. The delivery company arrived with the bed. They failed to use the “Red Carpet Service”, no booties or red carpets. They supplied a bed that had a large bubble in it due to the way it was stored during shipping. They were unable to identify that Mattress Firm had provided the correct headboard mounting brackets. There was a scratch on the remote for the base. During the delivery of the base and mattress they managed to damage the wooden floor in the bedroom. A scratch roughly 16 inches in length.
From this point forward the communication from the Globe The Professionals Corp has been appalling. Failure to engage or acknowledge they were aware of the damage to the property. Everything has felt like I was working for them. There was a failed second delivery which also had a bubble in the bed. 3 weeks later and I am still waiting to get any sort of compensation or path forward towards the remediation of the damage caused during delivery. The communication with Mattress Firm has been ongoing but there has been multiple times where I have called to follow up and get a basic status of my order without rebuttal. After the second failed delivery they did do their best to reach out to Serta to supply a new mattress but I am still yet to hear when I will actually receive this.
Genuinely not one of these people who writes reviews of companies if I have bad service but at this point I feel so ignored and ill treated as a paying customer I can’t help but begin to try and steer people towards another supplier. It’s hard to know how they have gotten to be the largest mattress company in the US with the standard of service and products I have been unfortunate enough to receive. I understand that there is cases where one or two things may go wrong, but once an issue is escalated beyond a normal sale there needs to be greater care and attention to ensure that the customer is not left in the dark and having to beg for a bed. Not like they gave it out for free. I will be using any other Mattress Firm going forward as will anyone I am come in contact with looking to make a purchase that is as important as a mattress. Caveat Emptor.

I bought a $1500 mattress from a Mattress Firm location near Austin, TX less than 2 years ago. Because I have had several operations on my spine, with the addition of several pieces of titanium inserted in my lower back and neck, I told the store rep as such. We looked at several models, all in the firm category. He highly recommended the mattress set we ended up buying. For 6-8 months it was great. Then the padding started collapsing, on both sides. The bedding was changed weekly, and the mattress was rotated each time. It's gotten to the point that neither of us can sleep on it comfortably. So I contacted the store, and was given Mattress Firm's website, to try and get it warrantied. I did everything they asked for, sent in the pictures, and a week later they said they wouldn't warranty it.
So I called Serta. They said that because it was less than 2 years, the warranty would be covered by the selling store. I informed them that they had already denied the warranty claim. Serta said basically "Oh Well". About a week after my first go around with Mattress Firm, I get an email to basically repeat the picture taking process, using their paper measuring device. Which is exactly what I did the first time. I asked them what exactly could they not see by the pictures that I had sent in. There would not be anything that I would do differently if I re-took the pictures. I have yet to receive a response from them. Needless to say, I don't see any Mattress Firm or Serta purchases in my future. Too bad for them both, as I have a 4 bedroom house and like to change bedding regularly.

Right now I am sitting on the phone waiting for someone at "customer service" to pick up the phone, I called at noon, it is now 12:19 and no one has picked up.
