I used to live back East. I’ve heard of Craftmatic for years. I was having a problem sleeping. Now, I’m 84 years old and I bought it about two years ago. Their people were very good. I called about the bed because I have a friend that has one. I ordered it over the phone and I’ve had wonderful service. The people who came out and set up my bed, they were really nice so I’ve had absolutely no complaints about it.
I slept on the bed and I’ve had good sleep ever since then. It’s wonderful! I like the head part. I recommend Craftmatic.

Well, I have a problem with my leg so I thought, “Wow, wouldn’t that be cool with the legs propped up?” I can’t remember when I first bought this Craftmatic bed. It was ’88, ’89, or something like that. Well, back then, I didn’t know of any other brands anyhow. I saw that and I needed a bed and I had that problem going on. I messed up for a couple of years there with it. It did help me with my condition. It’s probably the best bed that could ever be made as far as I can tell because if you have any kind of a problem, you can prop it up whichever way, the head up or the feet up. And it has that little vibration deal on it and comfortable. It was good. All the kids and all the grandkids love it. They fold it up and play.
We needed a new mattress here last year and everywhere you look, everybody claims to be the best and all that. I told my husband, “You know what? I’m just going to get on the computer and find Craftmatic and I’m going to get a new mattress for this bed.” There’s nothing wrong with the frame, with the way it works, or anything. So we just got a new mattress.

I saw Craftmatic on television and I have a very bad back and I thought that would be comfortable. It’s helping with my back. We bought our first one over 20 years ago. It lasted 20 years and then we had to buy a new one. So we bought a new one a couple of years ago. The elevation of my legs and head is my favorite feature. Interaction with the sales and delivery people went really good with no problem whatsoever. The second one, all I had to do was call and they matched the price that I bought it 20 years ago and delivery was a breeze. They came in and took the old one away and set it up and that was no problem whatsoever. I sleep well.

I’ve seen Craftmatic’s advertisements for years and I knew someone who had one. I’ve been quite ill and needed a hospital-type bed. The delivery team was very, very helpful. The salesperson used to call us in the evening and explained he was going to lose his job if he didn’t get the sale and leaned on us. My husband had that experience. I didn’t personally.
I like the massage, I wish we didn’t have but we do, and also being able to sit up in it and raise the knees a bit. But then after less than a year, I found wires coming out of the edge of the mattress and I called them and they said, “Oh that’s normal wear.” I was frankly expecting them to be a little upset about it. The wires are still coming out of the edge and they’re short pieces and I pull them out, but it doesn’t affect the functioning of the bed. It was a little dangerous for sitting on the edge.
I wouldn’t recommend it. I found one of those frustrating things was trying to find an actual price. You go down to Sleep Number and you can look at them and there’s a price on them. However, I was too sick and my husband was too busy and we did the shopping by mail. Buying it was difficult and was frustrating. The delivery was very efficient and with the bed, we had to exchange the mattress once because it was too hard. That went well and it’s functioning well and comfortable now. But I wouldn’t get another one. They were very uncooperative about my complaint.

Well, I fractured my pelvis so I wasn’t bungee jumping anymore. I’m 66 years old and Craftmatic were the first ones that I recall that did adjustable beds. The delivery team was an A+. They did everything. They answered questions. They came in. They were great. I have no complaints whatsoever.
My husband loves his side, and I wasn’t too happy with my side. So a lady had called me on a survey and I had pulled out all my paperwork. I was ready to call her to see if they had a softer side to the bed. This is just a few days ago. And she said, “Why don’t you go ahead and flip the bed over because you have the one that one side is hard and I guess the other side is soft.” So my son came over and he flipped the bed and a world of difference. I woke up and didn’t hurt. It’s great! I’m very happy with the bed!

All I can say is I love the Craftmatic bed! It’s really great. And the experience with their people went real good. And then right after I got the bed, it started acting up and then stopped working altogether. I couldn’t raise the head and I couldn’t lower it. The motor was no good and they replaced it. We’ve used it ever since. We’ve had no incidents with it so far.
I got to keep my head elevated and I have to keep my feet elevated sometimes, too. So when they get to really hurt, I go in there and lay down, and lower my head a little bit and then raise my legs, I feel fine. I’ve talked about it to people and they said, “Oh, it sounds so great.” But they don’t have the money right now either to get one.

I saw a Craftmatic ad years ago on TV. It may have been one of those infomercials, but the name stuck in my head. I knew there were other brands, or at least one other brand, but I wasn’t sure what it was. I didn’t see them on TV. So I figured that one of a few things has to happen if you’re going to be on TV. Either you’ve got garbage and you’re just trying to peddle it to anybody or you’ve got a good product and you’re really trying to get it out there. So I checked online if they had reports at all for Craftmatic.
My wife had sustained a brain injury. She was getting out of the rehab center for brain injuries at the time, reasonably soon, and I needed a hospital bed. And so I decided that she didn’t need the rails. If she did, I could put rails on it. But what she needed was something where she could elevate her body and her legs. And it was a problem putting another bed and having two beds.
We’ve just gotten married. We were about to get married about a month after she got out. And I just thought that this was probably the best way to go rather than an actual honest to goodness hospital bed. Oh, yes, she liked the bed, and she still loves the bed. We got it with memory foam. She can raise her side separately from mine. And we just love it! And I was telling the woman from Craftmatic who called me several days ago that this memory foam is like sleeping on a cloud except you don’t have to worry about falling through. We didn’t get the heater. And I’ve got a bad back, she’s got a bad back.
It’s just a wonderful bed. I’m 65, she’s 60, and we would recommend it for anybody. Spend the bucks. It’s going to last a long time. It’s a quality bed. And it just affords so much comfort.

I was having some back trouble. I would wake up in the morning and my back was hurting so I got this Craftmatic. It’s so good and it helped with my back pain. I didn’t get the heat but I do use the vibrating part sometimes.
I don’t know of any problems when it comes to their team. The only thing I was told when I bought it (I understand they changed hands or something, and I never would believe any one of them again) was he said, “Now, whenever you need a new mattress, it’s for free.” So when I got ready and need a new mattress, “Well ma'am, we don’t do that.” I said, “Well, that’s what I was told when they put the mattress in, standing in there in my bedroom.” So I paid a big price for the new mattress. I replaced the mattress a little while back and I don’t really know if I would have had to or not. I don’t know if I was looking for another bed like that.
When I got the new mattress, I was beginning to have some problems in my back. It turned out to be a bad hip. Evidently, the bed I was sleeping on was not right some way or other. The mattress was not right. I might not have really needed to change the mattress, but I did and it was pretty expensive. I don’t know whether I will go with a Craftmatic or not. I would have to look around because it’s good, it has served me well, but there are a lot of other beds out there. So I just don’t know which would be the best.

We’ve known about Craftmatic for years and years and years actually. I sometimes need to elevate my legs, sometimes I need it to elevate my upper body. The first one we talked about was Craftmatic and that had really the longest time in existence. I had always heard good things about it so that’s why we called Craftmatic. The experience was all great. No qualms whatsoever. The bed is helping me. If we needed another one of those beds, Craftmatic would be the first one that I’d recall. I’ve already recommended it to a friend.

I had problems and someone had told me about the Craftmatic and so got online and checked them out and we decided to go with the Craftmatic. The bed is definitely helping me. It’s been a couple of years now and I wouldn’t have been able to make it if I had not had that, just being able to get in and out of bed and to elevate my feet, etc. The experience with the sales rep was very good. The delivery was excellent. The team that delivered it was excellent, very helpful, and on time. They just answered all the questions we had. It was a really good experience. I would say if you’re able to afford one at all, it is very worthwhile. The bed is worth the money and it has been very, very helpful.

I decided to get in contact with them because I had a mother-in-law that needed a bed with some of those options. She couldn’t get in and out of bed on her own without the lift, and this bed helps her greatly. However, the experience with delivery was not real well. It went okay with the salesperson. We had an issue with them delivering it.
When I had asked for them to do it, they didn’t show up the first time when they were supposed to. Then they rescheduled. I finally called and asked them to find someone else to deliver it. Craftmatic told me they did and the same people showed up again. I would not hesitate to shoot at them the next time they showed up on my property. It was that bad. They were so rude and disrespectful. What you need to understand is I was a truck driver by trade. We own a trucking company. When somebody’s giving me excuses about a truck and getting it in my driveway when I drive a truck into my driveway every week, I don’t want to hear it. So when they’re telling me, “We can’t do this and we can’t do that,” it’s going nowhere. I don’t want to hear excuses. So when all of that was happening from some 20 to 30-year-old men that thought they knew better than I did, it was very disrespectful.
I tried to cancel the transaction. And they assured me they would have somebody else bring it. Then the same people showed up. So I complained up one thing down the other. It probably took me hours on the phone. I finally had to just let them in to do it which was the most defeating thing. I mean, you have an elderly mother-in-law moving in with you and you have to have a bed and this is the only people that will show up with it? You’ve got to be kidding me. So it was not Craftmatic I had a problem with, it was their delivery company. It was frustrating.

I think I saw an advertisement and then I called to get information. It sounded good to me and then the part that really sounded good to me was it was manufactured in the United States. And so I thought about it because I’ve been looking around, and I decided to order it. Well, I recently had surgery for a knee joint replacement and I had been uncomfortable for a long time. It was just time for me to get something that would help me out. They asked me what I wanted and I ended up with the Craftmatic bed. The salespeople, I talked to a couple of people, they were very kind. Everything for me was positive. It’s helped me a lot. I like the adjustable part. The massage is nice too, but it’s just something I don’t think of. It’s like an accessory that you don’t use that much, but it’s nice when you remember you have it. It’s a satisfying experience.

I was told about Craftmatic and I saw it advertised. That was many years ago. I liked it, but because I was having problems with having to find a new mattress, I tried one and that mattress kind of didn’t work. I purchased another one. I was told I’ll have to get the whole bed so I called. I said, “Okay, if I have to get the whole thing.” I gave my sister the one I had and said, “Okay, I’ll get a new one for myself.” My old Craftmatic bed that I had for me was sturdier. I could say that much. This one is not as sturdy, I guess, because the former time, they were better made. But it’s working as it’s supposed to. I have not been using all the things that it’s supposed to, but I think my husband says it works for what he wants them. My husband uses it more than I do but I use it to raise my back and I use the massage. I’d say it’s good.

My parents had bought Craftmatic years before. And it’s still working. So I just am impressed with them. I have bad knees. I had one surgery and I was using one of my parents’ beds for that and I really liked it. It was just so easy and comfortable and that was the reason I decided to go ahead and get one now. I could afford it now, and not when I get older and more decrepit. I just had some surgery again about six weeks ago and it is unbelievable, the difference. I love it!
The sales rep was very pleasant. She was very eager to give me information, and provided me with whatever I needed to for everything. She was very good. And the delivery team was fine. They put the whole bed all together. I didn’t know how experienced they were with putting it together. But they did and everything was fine. It’s an outstanding product and I like the ease from ordering to getting it actually installed.

For many years, I’ve seen the Craftmatic commercials on TV. And seven years ago, I had a hiatal hernia and they fixed it with mesh. And then the mesh came undone and wrapped around my esophagus and my stomach. And so I had to have about an eighth of my stomach removed and my esophagus removed in July of 2011. And once that was done, I was not allowed to lay flat at all anymore and I have to be in an elevated bed like that the rest of my life.
We live in Cincinnati and we had to be in Cleveland, Ohio for 10 weeks after the surgery because I had a feeding tube. So I called Craftmatic bed about two days after I was back at that apartment because I just couldn’t sleep. I told them what the situation was and they did a fantastic job. I got it within three to four days. They brought it to Cleveland, charged me no shipping and actually reduced the price about $1200 for me on the bed. And then, of course, I had to have it shipped back to Cincinnati when I was ready. And they saved all the boxes for me. And when it was time to go back home, they came in, boxed it up, and shipped it back to me for like $300 instead of some ungodly price. I just couldn’t believe. I thought it would be a whole lot more expensive than that. So that is why I have my Craftmatic bed.
I could not have asked for anything better. When they got to the house, the people who they have here to set it up did a great job. They came in and actually set it up for me again. And I couldn’t ask for a better experience with them. The salesperson was great, just all the service and the customer service that we received. They had to work out delivering the bed since it was in a huge apartment complex downtown. They had all the information. I didn’t have to be involved. I was really sick and on a feeding tube so they were absolutely wonderful.
I’ve already recommended a couple of people to them. The reason I like the Craftmatic is my husband cannot sleep like that. It drives him crazy. So I needed something that only one side raises and lowers. So the experience I had with them was just phenomenal!

They took care to make sure that everything is correct and showed us how to use the bed. And we did well. We got everything going and now we’re just snoozing away. The quality of the mattresses and stuff are just awesome - the vibration, the whole thing. It doesn’t get any better than that. It’s awesome really!! I found Craftmatic on the internet. We had a nice bed but I wanted an adjustable bed because of I have a sleeping problem. Anyway, I was kind of shopping around for another bed. My other bed was fine. I was sleeping up on pillows and I have a bad back. I have degenerative joint disease. So anyway, I was calling around and it was a good price and everything and I told them what I had for money. I said I got about $2000 I can spend on a new bed. Well, he didn’t think he could do that. And I said, “Well, that’s bad. I’ll have to shop around somewhere else.” Well, he called me back with a number of $2500. So that’s what I got it for. I am satisfied with the bed as far as it going up and down and adjusting it the way I want, but the mattresses aren’t worth ** on them. I’m not pleased with them. When you tip it up, I’ll get up and down and try to fix my bed, it feels like there’s a big bulge under my back when I’ve got in maybe a 45-degree angle, and that’s what I sleep at. The mattress could use more cushioning. I’ve had it two years.
I haven’t tried calling them about this. They said they come right from the factory. It’s a split king and when my husband’s mattress is on the bed as far as it should be, right even with the edges of the box spring or the thing underneath, mine’s off about two inches. I tried to get his centered about right and get mine over a little bit. We just made do. I am not bothering anybody. I’m not a complainer.
The delivery people were fine. They were great guys. And I did call the company at the time that they delivered the bed. They took my old bed down, took it out, and the mattress on that bed was only maybe a year or two old. It was a pillow top and the side of the mattress got torn. The mattress was still like brand new. And I told the moving company about it and they said, “Well, what do you want us to do about it? You got to call Craftmatic over it.” So when I called Craftmatic, Craftmatic said that it was up to the movers. So when I called them back again and told them what happened, I said they were really nice, took the bed down, put the bed together. They said they weren’t supposed to take any beds down and put them together. I said, “Look, all I know is what my agreement was with the company.” I said, “I’m not going to bother calling anybody else.” So I never did.
I’m not angry with the whole experience. I’m not really dissatisfied but I’m not really satisfied. Because it seems to me, if those had come directly from the factory which I was told they’d be coming out of Kentucky or whatever, it seems to me even though you connected the two beds together, the mattresses should fit both sides of the bed right to the edge, not out over it. But every now and then, I have to tell my dog, “Move, I got to push the mattress back on the bed." I have a pit bull terrier and she sleeps right between us.

I can’t remember how I first heard of Craftmatic. It was early in 2011. My father had been living in a retirement home but they had different levels of care and he was in an independent condominium. And it became apparent that he was going to have to move up, as we called it, to the big house where it was more confined. And he was having a lot of issues. He was 84, and we all decided that he was going to move to my house. We have an exposed basement and there’s a suite in there of a handicap-accessible bathroom and we just decided he needed a bed like Craftmatic. And I had no idea if I first just went on the internet and looked at it or if I saw an ad somewhere. I don’t remember. It was just sort of an awful time that we decided to buy it. And it was delivered and it worked great and my father had passed away. He passed away August of 2011 and we just kept the bed in a sort of a guestroom.
I had both of my shoulders replaced this year, and I slept in this bed a lot recovering from those. Our guests like it even if they don’t use the tilt factor and the massage. But we keep it here and it’s great. I’ve had no issue. The bed helped me recover from the surgery because I couldn’t move my shoulders so I had to elevate myself up. It’s nice and I really like it! I like that it raises up and down, both the feet and the head. And I also like the fact that when you lie on it flat, it feels like a good regular bed and you don’t feel anything. So the going up and down feature is great. I’d recommend it to anybody because they helped rapidly in a kind of a crisis mode. It was great. It feels so good!!!
I honestly can’t remember how the interaction with the sales and delivery went because it was a time of very high stress for me. But I do remember that there were a lot of things. Like we got a chairlift and that was a big problem, and so I think the bed went great. Everything worked fine and we never needed any more attention.

I had back surgery so I thought I’m going to try that because I like sitting in a recliner so it will help if I can do that. We enjoy the bed. It’s a good bed and I’m glad we have it. The sales guy was all right. He’s an older guy and he was okay. The delivery went well. I tried to call back to get another one for my father and that kind of turned into a little fiasco so we ended up not doing that. But what we have, yes we do like it. My daughter’s interested in a couple but not right now. But they are nice beds and I like it.
We have a business also and repeat customers and things of that nature, we always try to give them a little break. And it was like they didn’t take into account that we had already bought two and wanted a third one. And I like I said, my daughter wants to buy one for her and her husband. We bought two and just put them together. They might want to look at something like an incentive for a return customer.

I had heard about Craftmatic on TV and we purchased it for my husband’s grandparents. That’s James. So it’s registered in their name. They were in need of a bed that was easy for them to get in and out of and for ease of mobility and everything. They were pretty old and she had some serious health issues. And the bed is helping with that. It makes it really easy. And Craftmatic is the only company that has the split queen. So that also helped in the decision. Everything went really well with the delivery and installation. There was a problem with one of the massage motors but they were able to get it fixed with a different part right away, and everything was good. The overall experience was easy and quick. We’d definitely do it again.

My mother has a Craftmatic bed. She has had one for a few years. And I saw different ones but Craftmatic was a name that I had heard a lot. The guy said it would help in getting a better night’s sleep, and we just kind of dismissed it, that it was just a sales pitch, that there was one bad thing about Craftmatic and that was that you couldn’t take it on vacation. The first time we went on vacation, I said, “Do you remember what the man said?” Because I don’t want to go away unless I can come back and sleep on my bed at night with my bed. It means that much. If something were to happen to that, we’d be looking for another one the next day.
I just have trouble with my back and if I had not had that bed, I don’t know what I would have done. It was a couple of months that I couldn’t get in any bed. I got back into a bed sooner because I had the Craftmatic. It really has made a major impact in my life and because of the surgery that I had, my sugar levels were high for quite a while so it caused neuropathy with my feet that I hadn’t had a problem with before. And with the bed, I can raise my feet up and I sleep with my feet elevated. That bed has meant the world to me.
I remember the sales rep being a very nice man. He could answer all my questions and I just remember it was a very pleasant experience. I already have recommended it to others.

Sometimes it’s the legs, sometimes it’s the head.

I’m my mother’s legal guardian. About 2 ½ yrs ago, going on 3, she had hip partial replacement. She’s 91 now. When she came home, they wanted her to stay in a hospital bed which I rented but it was nasty. And that’s when I started looking into the Craftmatic, discussed it with her caseworker, and we determined that it was basically $200 more than renting that nasty hospital bed for a year. I’ve seen it on commercials. I’ve heard about them. I just did some research and called and spoke to, I believe, Virginia, a saleswoman.
The sales rep was very good. The delivery was faster than we thought. We got rid of that nasty hospital bed and she loves her Craftmatic bed. It’s very comfortable and apparently, she doesn’t like to get out of it. It’s worked very well. After I purchased it, I’ve seen others advertised. I was not aware of them in stores or anything. I pretty well bought my Craftmatic bed on blind faith.
Overall, my experience with the sales representative and the delivery team was excellent. No problems at all. The first mattress set they brought was injured. It had a slice in it from unpacking it and they just took it back and brought another one.

I had gone around. I had looked at other mattresses and I had seen the commercials on TV so I decided to call Craftmatic. I will admit the only thing I was disappointed in was there was no place in town I could go to try it out or screen it or anything else. So I thought, “Well, I really wasn’t thrilled with Tempur-Pedic, or any of those. And my brother’s got, I think, a Tempur-Pedic and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. And I thought, “Well, I’m not going to get into that.” So I ordered the Craftmatic. The only problem we have, to be honest, was it was supposed to be delivered on a certain day, didn’t happen, and then when they did deliver it, there were two of the same beds on the truck. And I said, “Guys, I only ordered one and I hope I wouldn’t get charged for two.” But they got all that straightened out. It was a little glitch. That’s fine.
Then when they were bringing it up, okay, I’m in a condo and I’m upstairs, and the way they constructed the condo, as you come up, you got to go around the corner. And I felt bad for the guys because the two guys that were trying to deliver had to take them out of the boxes to try and get them up the stairway. And they couldn’t do it. They had to call a third guy who figured out exactly how to manipulate this to get it up because I ordered a queen size and I was afraid they were going to have to haul the whole thing up on a rope and bring it in through the French doors. But this guy knew what he was doing, the guy that came. We waited probably about a half an hour for him to come and he figured it out and got it up.
As far as the bed itself mechanically, it’s been fantastic. Well, before I purchased it, I didn’t fall but I missed the last two steps coming down because I was carrying something and I landed on my feet but it was like shaken baby syndrome. And at that time, unfortunately, I collapsed three vertebrae, three bulging discs. I was a nurse at the time. I’ve retired since then. But the thing is that I had to get up at 4:30 in the morning. I could not sleep in my regular bed because it was flat and with the back problem, it was impossible, and I was sleeping in a back lounger for two years, up to two and a half years. And I thought, “That’s that. I’m not going to live like this. I want my bedroom back.” And that’s when I started looking for a mechanical bed. And that’s when I bought the Craftmatic and I have to tell you I get one good night’s sleep after the other on it. I’m so pleased. As far as I’m concerned, it’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made!
I have recommended them to friends. I am just so pleased with it. And my brother and his wife when they come to visit, because I have a one-bedroom condo, when they come, I let them take my bedroom. And he said, “You know, I wish we had gotten this,” he said, “because this is higher and above the Tempur-Pedic.” And when I’ve gone to his house, because of my back problem he and his wife let me sleep in their bed. It’s not the same. I feel I made the best choice. I did look around.
I know it comes directly from the company but I really think in the future, it would be nice if they could set up some stores around the country so people could go in. Because people are like, “Gee, I hate to buy something blind and not know it.” But you can return it if you don’t like it. That would have been nice to be able to try it but I said well, I’m going to go with it. I had talked to people. I didn’t know anybody that owned one but now, people have talked to me and I know a couple of people that have already ordered them and have had them now for a year. And they’re very pleased because like me, they went around trying all these other ones.
I am extremely pleased with Craftmatic. It’s been reliable. I didn’t even know when I ordered it that the massage was included. They asked me if I wanted heat and I said no because I’m a hot body. I sleep most of the time with just the sheet on. I like to be cool. And with that massage, you would crack up because I’ve got two cats. My male, as soon as he sees me heading for the bedroom, he beats me in there, gets on the bed, and he sits there and looks at me like, “I’m ready for my massage.” And he’s on his back with all furs out. And he just loves it. And I have to run it twice. It’s been a godsend and I’m very pleased with it!

Just to make sure in case anything ever happened to the one I’m in, I looked at Craigslist and I purchased another one and I’m laying next to that one just in case. I ordered a big one, I think it was a queen, but it’s new and they stopped making the feet go up real high. It just raised up the knees a little bit. So I had to send that one back. I like all the features of the bed. I ordered this 6 months before I needed it because I lost my last one in a house fire. I needed to have it delivered on the 23rd of March, 2011. They said, “No problem.” Well, on the 22nd, they called me and said it won’t be there for another couple of days or maybe a week. I said, “Well, if you can’t have it here tomorrow, cancel the order.” The guy says, “I’m going to get it out of my pocket and get it delivered to you.”
Well, I’m sorry if it comes from out of his pocket. I don’t care. He’s the only one who told me that. But he did get it here and they set it up. And other than that, it was fine. His attitude in the beginning was not the best.

I said, “Yeah, I kind of know a little bit about those.” He’s like, “It’s better for you to be upright as much as possible.” And I said, “Okay.” I would have to wait for us to be able to have the money for it and then not long after that we bought it. I think I either saw a Craftmatic ad in a magazine or TV.
My favorite feature of the bed is the massage part. I noticed it only works when my husband is on the bed with me. Then I could feel a little bit of the vibration. But when it’s me by myself, I hardly feel any vibration from it. Just like it’s concentrated more in the middle and I sleep on the right side. So if I’m able to scoot over, which is very hard for me, then I feel a little bit better but not too much.
The Craftmatic people were very, very wonderful with me. The only problem I ever had was about three weeks ago, I tried ordering a new remote. Not that my remote is broken. The sales rep and delivery were okay, except as I told the last person who called me a couple of weeks ago, they sent me the wrong attachments for my headboard and I’m unhappy with that. All I need is for them to mail out the proper attachments for the headboard because I went out and bought a $400 headboard and I can’t attach the damn thing right. Still it’s an excellent experience! At 40 of Lasix and 10 of another and it wasn’t working, and she said, “You need to get your feet up!” So she ordered it and it worked. And my God, it did a terrific job! I got the fluid down. So then when she had her problem, I ordered hers. And we’re both thrilled.

My wife was aware of Craftmatic and she called via looking it up online. From what I understand, they don’t have stores so you have to do business online or primarily on the telephone. So we spoke to a sales representative and he spoke with us for an hour. At least that. And usually I don’t buy things sight unseen, but he seemed pretty sincere. Delivery was very good. I have some parts left over, but I think those parts were not from the setup that I had. I already had the headboard and footboard and it’s pretty self-explanatory. I have all the information. They did what they said they were going to do and they were very careful in the home and everything so I had no complaints with that. They did a very good job for the amount of time that they were here. So I’m pretty happy about it. And I do like the idea of the warranty.
So far they have lived up to every aspect of what they told me. But it’s only been a week. So far, I like it. I like the way you can have different positions if you want. I’m not one for watching TV too much in bed necessarily, but I like to watch the news.

Well, I heard about Craftmatic a lot. I work in Home Health and there are a lot of people who had them. My husband has Crohn’s disease. The biggest issue was he likes to sleep almost in a sit up position. I thought it would be a nice Christmas present so I got it. When he’s not feeling well, he can get in a position he likes. The first one we got developed a hole in it. I don’t know why, but they replaced it. Dealing with their people went fine. That was quite a few years ago now, and they were very good.

I think it was on TV that I saw Craftmatic. This was maybe about 3 years ago and they seemed to be the leader in the type of adjustable beds, so I was interested from that standpoint. I was in an automobile accident so I wanted to move from the hospital bed into an adjustable bed. Everything was very professionally done and handled. They contacted back and forth between me and the Craftmatic sales team. And the lady, she was very, very professional and courteous, stayed in touch and made sure that I knew when it was going to be delivered and that it had been delivered and that I was satisfied. She did all of those things and they helped me to feel real comfortable doing the transaction. The delivery team itself in setting it up, everything was professionally done.
I like the massage and the elevation of the legs. I like the sitting position when I’m watching TV. I like the whole aspect of the bed. It most certainly since I had developed swelling in my legs. So I need to elevate my legs on a daily basis. And the bed’s pretty great with it.

A friend of mine has Craftmatic beds. My husband has trouble sleeping at night and he had to be propped up with pillows and things so we got one. It does help him but it was a terrible experience. First of all, my controls on the one side of the bed quit working so I tried to order another one. They sent the wrong one. So I sent them back and they sent the wrong ones again. Anyway, it was hell. It was terrible. We had two twin beds put together. So I just switched beds with him again.
And then I decided I would order new mattresses. I ordered the mattresses, but then the controls never came so I called to cancel the mattresses. And because I did that, the man who sold the mattresses, they then sent me the correct controls. So then I had the right controls and then the mattresses were the ones that come in a small box. You take them out and they fill up with air. Well, they don’t inflate enough to take all the wrinkles out of the mattresses. I have too much money in it now to get rid of them but I would never, ever in my lifetime order another Craftmatic.

Well, it’s been about two or three years since we ordered out Craftmatic. I’m not really sure because at the time, my husband had a medical problem. When you have that, you always have to sit up no matter. It’s just sort of a round-the-clock thing. And so, bless his heart, he and I both were sleeping in La-Z-Boys and of course, no sleep. Somehow someone told me or either I read that a bed with a vibrator would have been helpful for anyone in any physical condition. And when you have very sick individuals, they don’t move. They want to be still, and the body needs some kind of stimulant to keep it moving and that sort of thing, they get tense, they don’t sleep. My husband, he was having to go to the chiropractor so much. And I said, “Why don’t we try one of these Craftmatic beds?” And he was 6’4”, had had cancer back in 1999, and he had non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He had survived for 10 years of the treatment, but the treatment had damaged his heart.
So we got it. He gets to sleep better and he did well. The bed was in my bedroom and I had about decided if I would just use that bed, I’d probably be a lot better off myself because I’m 74. It just makes a difference when you’re old. You’d do well to just lie down and try to rest and get that relaxation because once your body gets un-tense from the old age of muscles and bones and everything else, you would end up I think resting better and your leg circulation would be better. That’s just my idea. I know with John, it was very helpful. This one raises up and down so you got him in a level that you can care for him and as well as lifting the feet and the head and everything else.

I’d seen their commercials and everything else. I decided to call Craftmatic when I had to move my mom in with me. She was suffering from acid reflux, and she slept with like seven pillows propping her up. I was sick and tired of the night ritual organizing all these pillows. I knew if I try to get a hospital bed brought in, she would just flip. So I was like, “Oh that’s right, Craftmatic makes an adjustable bed.” Problem solved. Now, we did have to play a little bit of trickery on my mom because she was in a demented state assuming I was trying to kill her half the time, so the bed had to be a gift from my husband.
It arrived when they said it was going to arrive. We had to change the delivery location a little bit. My husband drafted to the army and so the army moved us from house 1 to house 2 a week before the delivery. It was only three doors down, but they still got everything taken care of. The guys set it up and removed the old bed and it couldn’t have been nicer. It solved loads of problems. We were down to two pillows instead of seven. We had more space in the room because it was a full sized versus the double beds - the slightly larger beds that had been in there. I got it with a firm mattress because she always liked the firm mattress and the mattress on the other bed had been wearing out. Even though my mom passed away a couple of years ago, in some ways it’s for the best. She was suffering. She really was.
We kept the bed and it is the most popular bed in the house to me and my husband. He had LASIK surgery and so he got to stay in it for like a week. And then about a month ago, I had surgery on my right ankle. Of course, I had to keep my ankle up and elevated. Well, what’s the only bed in the house I can really elevate my foot in without propping pillows? Since the ankle surgery, I spent two months sleeping in it.
The only thing I wish is if their remote controls had a lock feature on it so that you could stop it from accidentally being pushed. Because every now and then, the cat will walk on it or something like that. I’ll be half asleep and suddenly, my feet are rising up and I find the cat standing on the remote. Try and put the remote where the cat won’t walk again, I guarantee you it’ll end up underneath me in bed or the cat will end up on it again.
We have been so thrilled with the bed. We’ve gotten a ton of use out of it. I’ll put it this way. Between me, my husband, and the cat, it’s never empty.

I had no issue at all with the sales rep and delivery. They were responsive. With anything I had a question, they made good follow-up. They sent me information at appropriate times and they were very thorough in following through to make sure it was delivered the way they committed.
The bed is absolutely helping my father. What it does is it has multiple positions. You put the legs up and put it back. You can drop it straight down. You can raise it and he’s in a walker. He’s 92 years old and so the flexibility of his having the bed in a different position and where he could lay and move his leg position and so forth is just excellent. The person who wanted to buy the bed didn’t buy them so we bought it. That’s how I got to know about Craftmatic. I liked it ever since. I like the massage and I like the way you can lay in bed, just raise it and then watch TV. Like your feet, you can raise it all the way up or medium down in your feet. But my wife complains about it. It’s either not soft or too hard, in between, but I don’t have any problems with it. But they said, if you turn it the other way, it’s a little softer than it is on one side. But you got to switch the beds over and see how they feel on the other side.
Craftmatic, as far as I’m concerned, is a very good bed. It’s a good, firm, solid bed and you can adjust it any way you want for high or low to sleep. It’s accessible to certain things if you’d had any problems and you had to have your feet up or your back up or flat on the bed or whatever way. It can position you any way you want to make you feel comfortable.

I just heard Craftmatic vaguely maybe several years ago. I called them because my husband was at the hospital and was coming out. I was able to get their number through the operator and I contacted them. So this probably went back years ago. Because I wanted a bed that can raise, lift the back and front, I contacted them on the phone and I spoke with somebody that gave me the information I needed. The prices were quite high at first and I said, “No, I’m going to go somewhere else and look.” And then they came down. That I don’t like. I was able to bargain on the phone. Although it was good. You do not sell anything that you don’t make a profit. And Bob’s Bed or whoever out in New York, in different places, said I could have got the same thing for about $2000 or $2500. You can work with them. Originally, he told me $7500. And I was desperate because my husband was barely alive but he came out. And thank God he’s still alive. But he would be comfortable because he would not have been able to walk properly and get on and off the bed as I had a higher bed. I finally got the bed for $3500. And I said, “Hey, I got a deal! I’m going to take it.” So it was delivered. It’s very good.
They had me talk to somebody else who already had the bed for several years but this was more modern. The remote was added. The previous one was with cords. This is separate and that’s what made it good. But the mattresses they sent me which I had a choice of the memory foam or the other one. And the other one was recommended because the memory foam, I was told, you can get very hot in the summer. However, I decided to take the other one. And I had one month. This is all before my husband came out of the rehab. So I was trying it and my daughter came and she tried it. We love the bed!
But every morning after you sleep, the mattress would slip out. It would slide off. So I brought the stuff that you put under the carpets because they told me to and it was still falling apart. I don’t have a cleaning person every day to come and fix it. So I called before the month and I said, “Please, I’ll pay the money. Please take it back.” So they put me on to some manager. So the manager said, “Well, how about the other mattress, the foam?” I said, “I don’t know about that. It’s probably going to slip again.” He said, “Well, you can try it. All you have to pay is $90 for delivery.” And I don’t have to return the other one. I can keep it because then I’d have to pay another $90 to send that back. So it was working for me. And I said, “Wonderful. I’ll try it.” It’s on the bed for a year now. Fabulous.
However, I had to call in the people that fixed the bed because it was not done properly at first. It was a little unleveled. I could see it. I had bought a headboard that wouldn’t fit onto it because my former headboard was wood. So I ran to Sleepy’s and I got a headboard that was steel. So they attached it. But again, there were problems and they had somebody come in and fix it and adjust. I think they should be a little more accurate in their measurements. It’s factory done but one side was a little lower than the other. But other than that, the product is excellent. I would recommend them. Very, very good. I do hope that the company can experiment a little more because we’re not skinny people. I’m about 150 pounds. My husband is about 200 pounds. I have a daughter who’s about 400 pounds and she comes in and she lays down and she loves it. It’s excellent. I’ve told many people already.

Since 1983, I had Craftmatic. I came to the States in 1980. In 1983, it was my first bed that I bought and I like it. The latest one that I changed for some reason I thought it was time for me to buy another new one which was last year. And I’m not pleased with the new one, the way it is done because this is the first time I am changing the mattress. I’m still sinking in the middle of the bed. I have to consume effort while sleeping to keep myself from sinking to the middle part of the bed. Maybe I am heavy - 155 pounds I am. We are debating with the mattress people. I don’t know where this is coming from. I don’t know where the error is.
This was another order on the phone. I told them that my bed is 20 years old. I’m talking about the frame of the bed, the Craftmatic bed. So they convinced me kind of, "it’s better if you bought the new one." They have perfected it now and whatever they said. They convinced me.
When the delivery team came, I didn’t have the headboard at the time. The bed was moving and moving and I thought that by buying the headboard, I would resolve that problem. Yesterday they came to connect the bed to the headboard. It was still slippery, it was sinking. Then I managed to ask my support to put some stoppers underneath the wheels. So now to some extent, that has been resolved but my problem is still when I am waking up, I am sliding either to the other side or the middle part. For instance, when you place your body on the side, you expect when you wake up you’ll be there. My body is not there, always going to the middle part or the other, sliding. Something is very wrong somewhere. I cannot identify the cause.
I tried calling Craftmatic. They gave me suggestions to put that sliding problem - to put the stopper which I did, but the other problem is there. I even told them, “I wish I bought a regular bed this time and I placed a wood on it.” I have a terrible back problem throughout my life that’s why I was leaning towards having Craftmatic in order to feel every comfort for my back, which is not the case at all. I am not reaching anywhere by talking to them. They had talked to me. They had tried to convince me that it’s the mattress. I changed the mattress three times; the problem is still the same.

He said, “No, you had that bed some time since in the ‘80s.” Just because of the type of remote control I had. He said, “Do you have it in light tan?” I said, “No, mine is dark brown.” He said, “Oh, man. You’ve had it a lot longer than you think.”
The lady with whom I spoke was Peggy something. I talked with the lady for the longest time and then she was starting to quote prices and talking about prices to me. She said, “Let me talk with my manager.” Next thing I know, he’s on the line and he was very, very informative. He’s been with the company since 1977 I think he said. And the lady Peggy, she’s been with them since 1975. I was just impressed with him. I was not necessarily thinking about buying a whole new set but after our discussion, my husband was on the extension, we were both talking and I said, “What are we going to get then? We can’t buy those Craftmatic mattresses locally because of the brand name.” And I said, “No, we'll just go ahead and do it. What are we waiting for?” They sent me the papers yesterday and I faxed it back to them and they called today and said, “The delivery would be on the 23rd” which is next Friday, I believe.
We’ve had Craftmatic beds since back in the ‘80s and my original call for them was to check the placement of the mattresses. We just got them adjusted. My husband and I are elderly and we just needed to replace the mattresses. But then when I talked with them, it was so much better as far as going ahead and replacing the bed and we did a trade-in. The previous bed was fine that’s why we were going with it again. So I was just having an upgrade so to speak. I think we’ve had ours a good, actually almost 20 years. And to think we needed mattresses after all that time.
It's even more important now that we’ve gotten older that we can raise the bed up - the head of the bed and the foot of the bed. Then when I’ve been working hard most of the time, it must be nice getting in bed and have a little massage. They’ve been extremely adorable! I’m glad!

We always wanted a bed where we could raise our legs or raise our head or just whatever, so we know about Craftmatic. We thought they would be too expensive but anyway one day I finally got off my couch and I made a phone call and found out that they were quite affordable. Dealing with them went fine actually. They came. They delivered. There was no hassle and all went smoothly.

I first heard about Craftmatic from my neighbor who has one. I have really bad arthritis, and I had foot surgery. So it’s very helpful because I’ve had two knee replacements besides an ankle fusion so I sleep with my feet elevated at night because I have swelling. That helps a lot by morning. My ankles are not swollen at all. I can’t lay flat in bed so I elevate my head and that helps with my back pain.
I’m very pleased with it. I was very impressed with every end of it. My interactions with the sales team and the installers were very good. I have no complaints at all. They went here and installed it in 15 minutes. I swear it wasn’t any longer than that.

And we watched the infomercial with Sunny Kobe Cook and we saw the bed with the head that goes up and the feet that goes up because we both have medical problems. When we found the queen bed without putting two beds together, we got it. And I’ve had it ever since. And I’ve only replaced the motor once. It has helped me get a better night’s sleep. I like the fact that I can put my head and feet up over my heart at the same time. Extremely helpful!

I first heard about Craftmatic through a cousin of mine years ago. The bed was for a medical reason for mom. She used to complain that hospital beds are kind of pretty hard. It was uncomfortable, and I knew it wasn’t comfortable. She’s 98 years old getting on 99, and I wanted her to be comfortable. I decided to ask my niece to go online and look up some information for me. So she mailed it to me and then I called and I talked to a salesman. I was very impressed with what the salesman was telling me. The rest of the people at Craftmatic had also been great.
I like the bed because it raises my mother’s head and her feet. It massages her body and it’s been comfortable to her. The first night she slept on it, the next morning she said, “I slept real good last night!” I’ve already recommended Craftmatic to friends and family. I'm just not sure whether they want to buy one or not, but I’ve already told some of my family members and other people about them. I’ve even given them the number and the salesman that I used. I was very impressed with him.

The Craftmatic bed has been helpful. I have a hiatal hernia so I’m able to bring the bed up, so I don’t have to put the extra pillows in at night. I haven’t used the massage too much. I mostly adjust the feet and the head.
When I first got it, they had a little problem to begin with, and they ironed it out beautifully. The people who delivered it evidently had a motor problem, said that they couldn’t do it, but then somebody else did, and they ironed it out right away and took good care of me. The young lady who is in charge of the transportation went to set it miles away and did an extremely good job and I was real proud of her. I’m trying to think of her name. It starts with a D and she just did a beautiful job. I would recommend Craftmatic to friends.

If Craftmatic needs to do a commercial, I’d do a commercial for them. I can tell them they made my mother a very happy person! She’s 95 years old when I got it. She had been sleeping in a Lazy Boy for the last 12 years because she has vertigo and she can’t lie down to sleep. She had to sleep sitting up in a lazy boy. I just decided we’re going to do something. I checked all the beds out. I checked all the Imperial bedding and I checked them all out as far as price and what kind of quality and everything. Then I saw Craftmatic on TV so I bought it for my mother. Really it’s the price. It seemed like it was the best buy.
There had been no problem working with the people at Craftmatic. The delivery guys came in. They were very professional setting up and everything. They came in within the time frame when they told me they were going to come in. I think they were like an hour early. The guy that I dealt with was Mel **, an excellent man. He needs a raise. He was excellent. I just spoke with Mel and I'm trying to get some things figured out for the insurance and everything. Mel is helping me out with that right now.
My mother is very happy with the bed, and the massager is as good as anything. She loves that thing. She turns that thing on. Now I can’t get her off of the bed with the vibrator putting her to sleep. She goes to bed at probably 10:30 now. She sleeps to about 9 in the morning. That’s the first night’s sleep she has had in probably 15 years without breaking in. For that, I will recommend Craftmatic to friends.

The bed has been helpful. I think it's a very comfortable bed, and I sleep very well on it. It’s the second one I had - I did have one previously. There was a fire in my home and it was destroyed, and that's why I ordered the second one. The only problem I'm having is the bed is rather high. The sales representative was nothing but kind to us both times because this is actually our second time buying a Craftmatic. I got very sick back in 2003 or 2004, I'm not sure which, and was tracheostomied and needed a bed that would sit up. And that was my first time with them. They got the bed out, were very kind, and the second time the guy even saved us on everything because the bed had worn down and everything and it had stopped working actually underneath. And we called to see what it was going to cost to repair and he said, 'What about just upgrading? It would be a lot cheaper.' And sure enough, he was right. It was much cheaper.
So they were very kind. The people who came out to deliver it were clean. They were very informational for my husband. He was the one that set it all up. And he said they were very thorough. They went through everything with him. Because some of it had changed. It's helping me get a better night's sleep. For me, my favorite adjustable feature is probably the massage. I love the massage. Bought the bed in Oct. 2012. One of the vibrators on one of the beds quit 3 weeks ago. First they sent the motor to the wrong address. That took an extra week. Then this week the service tech was supposed to come out Wed. (NO SHOW and NO CALL), then they told me he'd be here Thurs. (NO SHOW). He called Thurs. at 7:30 p.m. and said he'd be here Fri. between 3 and 4 for sure and take care of this. NO SHOW and NO CALL. We are NOT happy!!
This was handled by a third party technician. We provided a different technician and the massage system has been repaired. We spoke with you and you indicated you are very happy with the final technician that came out and your bed is functioning properly. We apologize for the motor being shipped to the wrong address. Should you have any difficulty in the future, please give us a call.

My cousin has a Craftmatic for over 20 years and I've always had a good bed but a regular bed. I had shoulder surgery in September. It wasn't just a torn rotator cuff. And since I always slept on my stomach, I just couldn't sleep. It was months and months and months. I tried to go to bed 8:30 or 9:00, and I wake up 10:30 or 11:00. I can't sleep on my back.
So this was going on for nine months and I didn't know what to do. I tried pillows and body pillows and all kinds of things. Nothing worked so I was getting desperate. I went online. I looked at the Craftmatic and I called them and talked about the bed and how much they were and all that. I said before I commit to buying in the bed I wanted to make sure that it's going to help me. But if it's not going to help me, I have a $2,000 mattress that I got to get to rid of.
So I went up to my cousin's and I said, ''Would you mind if I just stayed a couple of nights to see if this really...'' The first night I wasn't used to it, but I had it up and I slept until 4 o'clock in the morning. The second night I slept until 6 o'clock in the morning. That was Wednesday and Thursday because I told this guy ''I'd call you back Friday.'' I saw my cousin was reinforced very well. I didn't even think about another bed. I remember their commercials from when I was younger. When I went online it said on Consumer Affairs that they were the number 1 bed. Why would I go with consumers? I've owned a Toyota for years and years. I never went wrong with the consumers. So Friday on my way home I called him and we talked back and forth and I ordered the bed.
The people that delivered it were great. The salesman, Glenn, was terrific. The whole experience was a positive experience. It's the best night's sleep I've ever had in my entire life following nothing. It's a great bed. It's expensive but it was worth it because when you can't sleep it's horrible - lack of sleep. It's very important. Now that I'm used to it. I can't wait to get in the bed. I recommended Craftmatic to my friend already.

I guess it's not good for hospitals and I might be going in the nursing home. So I was hoping they were able to take my bed. I know other people who've gotten this but they get the newer one. On the information under the Craftmatic, it's not for hospitalization. I was very disappointed about the thousand dollars. I can't afford that again.

You can lie down flat, and if I need to exercise, lie flat all the way and I can raise up at certain points and watch TV or I could lay the bottom of it up if I want support. I don't use the massage as much as a lot of people do but I do like the low massage thing.
When I put it on, I don't leave it all alone because I always have fear even though it's supposed to be safe. I don't like keeping it on there. Then he said, 'If you want to see how it works, come on over to the office.' And he demonstrated it and the price was right and we bought it. They came and delivered it. They even took away my old mattress and old bed frame.
I have a back problem and the pain was so bad that if I lay flat, my back would kill me, and that's why I bought it and I'd adjust it. My legs go up and it helps. And to watch TV, you just crank it up and it's like sitting in a cloud.
That was 10 years ago and I just needed a new control and they welcomed me like a long lost brother and showed me the control, showed me how to install it, and they wished me all the best and said goodbye. They were nice; they were ready to close up actually, and the young lady went in the back and dug around until she found me the control then she said, 'If you just need the control, whatever you don't use, bring it back and we'll refund your money.'
I have recommended it to about four to five people. Anybody who has got back pains or they got legs that swell, that's the bed you need to sleep in. We bought a Craftmatic bed back in 1997. We needed a new mattress and we were looking elsewhere for a mattress for that kind of a bed but that was impossible. So my daughter went online for me and said, 'Oh, Craftmatic, mom. Just call this number.' And that's what I did. Because I had the old sales slip and I called that number and when I did that, someone answered and I asked her saying I was interested in getting information about Craftmatic beds. 'Call this number.' And it was a number to a company called Easy Rest.
My husband and I went online and we looked at the beds and I knew that their bed was not exactly what I was looking for, like the bunk spring on their bed was much thicker than ours was now. But they're not even in business anymore. Then I called the number that was online there and I spoke to a salesman and we're set. We got them back. We got a new complete bed. The salesman I spoke to was very nice. And then I got phone calls and the delivery went good. He was terrific. He put it all in, told us all about it, and set it up and raised it so it was a little higher. So now, our bed is a little bit higher and we like it. And the mattress compared to our old mattress is three inches thicker than the old mattress. Of course, it's quieter and it's very, very comfortable. And the mattress is so great!
One thing about the old one that was set up in 1997 was that the bed was quite a way from the headboard. Well now, this fellow took care of that. And it's something that always bothered me because when I set up my stuff, sometimes it would just slip down the back. I didn't tell him that but he set it up and it's very good. We are really happy and we like sleeping in the bed.

I heard about Craftmatic long ago. 10 years ago I had an unfortunate accident which did bad things of my spine. And I've had two surgical procedures on it. Neither one of which did too much good. My wife and I moved into a new house in 1995 in Melbourne, Florida. And we had a clean bed there and a fold bed in the guest room, but I didn't have room to get another bed. I didn't wanna get rid of the one I had. So, I just kept dreaming about being able to get my legs up a little bit. A better sleeping position.
So, my wife died in January of 2011 and I hung out there for about a year and then decided that I didn't wanna be in the house alone anymore. So I moved to an assisted living facility. And lo and behold I was able to get a two bedroom, two bathroom, with a big bedroom. And I was able to get rid of my old guest bed, put it in my regular bed in the new guest room, and a new Craftmatic fit in my master bedroom. And it worked out fine and I've been using that ever since. Getting out of bed was the worst thing in the world. And, thank God for the get the head up. It helps me get out of bed. Definitely helped with my back. Now I'm pain free.
The only issue I have is that I keep entering their monthly price drawings for another Craftmatic. I know the salesman and I told him,'You don't have to come and sell me. I'm not gonna buy it if I get it free. I'm fine. But I'm not gonna buy another one.' And they get mad at me. I'm sure my name doesn't get in the drawing. I've given them my big suggestion already. I'm sure they've read it a hundred times. I figure that if I ever get there, I need to have another partner in bed. I sure want dual controls then I have to buy a king. Nothing wrong with that except for the bedding and the sheets that I'm putting on them now. They're $250 a set so... Otherwise I'm very happy with my Craftmatic bed.

I was just afraid that it would go out on us some time, and so I got a hold of Craftmatic, and I made a good deal with them. So now we have these beds, and these beds have a dual mattress on them where you can have firm or soft. My wife and I both like the soft side. And my wife uses her side all the time to raise herself up and watch TV in the bedroom.
The experience has been great. They had to take it back and replace it for the one we have. It's been great to sleep on a bed that in truth is a hospital bed. It's like an insurance policy for not having to go to the hospital if you're laid up.

With Craftmatic, I raise the head up probably about 8 to 10 inches above the flat surface. I had a pretty nice sleep last night, but without it, I'm sunk.
Everybody was very, very courteous, and considerate. Because of the configuration of my home, getting the unit in was not that easy. It was difficult, yet they got it upstairs. And nothing was disrupted. We have oriental rugs, paintings, we've got this, and we've got that. They could not have been nicer.
In summary, I'm very happy with it. I still have my sleep apnea. I still use my mask every night. But I also have the head elevated. Somebody had suggested that we get two twins. But I'm a big guy - I'm 6'4', and for me, I would have fallen off the bed. So we got a queen. However, I'm able to raise mine. My wife would keep hers pretty much flat.
Mission accomplished. What we set out to achieve, we got with Craftmatic. It was expensive, so I went to Social Security and Medicare to see if they would pay for it. They want to know nothing. But I don't care. Somebody suggested it might qualify for Medicare, but paying for it myself was minor compared to the benefits that I've received. I sleep much, much better. I wake up in the morning totally refreshed versus the situation that I suffered with previously. It exceeded expectations.

I got my Craftmatic bed about a year ago after my spinal surgery, which was March 7, 2012. My son is a professor at Drew University. He had heard and seen advertisements about it. And when he saw I was suffering so much, he said, 'You ought to get a Craftmatic. I don't want you to suffer you know.'
I had to stay in rehab for a while until I was released. I really needed some support to go to bed because I couldn't get in and out of my high, normal, big, queen-sized, firm mattress bed. With the Craftmatic, I was able to adjust the head part, the feet part, and then it had a massage to relax my whole body.
Even to this date, I'm able to go on my bed. But when I do have to get dressed to go out to church, I still use a Craftmatic bed to sit down, to put my pantyhose on because when I sit on the higher one, it's very difficult because I had double surgery. It was a major surgery. The physical therapist was amazed that I was able to get up and walk because others who were there before me, they were still there.
Although I don't use it as much as I did then, but if I didn't have it then, I would have been in agony and not be able to dress and to get up and go to church or anything like that or other meetings. In the beginning, for six months, it was a lifesaver for me. It was really that awful. I don't know what I would have done without it. It was extremely helpful.

I dealt with Craftmatic years ago when I was a little girl. I think it was back in the 60's, maybe 70s and we had a Craftmatic - the bed that comes out as a couch, Hideaway or whatever you called it. It was very sturdy, and it was very good for the family. It lasted a long time. It was so heavy though. I just thought about it when I needed a bed when my husband passed. I thought about them and everybody offered so much - the springs and things with other beds. The man that came along and I talked to was an elderly gentleman, but he was so very nice. And I think he was about my age. When you have people your age, you listen. And I listened a little bit more though, and he was very good. So that was it.
I got my Craftmatic about a year ago. The feature that I enjoy the most is the head part up. Then when I need it for my feet, that elevates it a little bit more. But I need that head part all the time. It's very good for me and it's wonderful. I would recommend them.

It's been five months now. I went online and looked at stuff. Craftmatic are the ones that actually have the lifetime guarantee on it. I used to have a hospital bed in my living room. I have some health issues. I wanted to get back to my bedroom. It was you get a new hospital bed and then you have to get like another bed, so I decided to go with the Craftmatic bed. Plus the salesperson was a nice guy. The delivery people, they didn't have all the parts so they actually had to come back two days later. They were missing some light pieces, but they came back. They were able to put together the piece and connect the beds together. Everything was fine.
Basically, they were just the same thing with the hospital bed, but the hospital bed raises up and down. I would still recommend the bed to somebody. It's very comfortable.

I bought my first Craftmatic bed in 1986. The bed is so fantastic, and I didn't have any problems with it over the full 27 or 28 years that I've had it. Today, I just got my second one delivered. It was put together, and there were no problems whatsoever. This new bed seems to be a lot more secure and firm than the old one, but it may be because of age though. Also, this new bed is a little bit higher than the old one. The controls are much different too. It's all remote now. It's a lot quieter than the controller of the old bed.
Well, the bed is very good. I elevated the head, it made me sleep a lot easier. And I have a problem with my legs, so I would elevate the feet and that would take the swelling down on my legs. It did work very, very well.

It was not my Craftmatic. I bought it for my in-laws. They live in New York. They're very, very senior citizens. They might have had it for about three weeks, maybe a month, and they love it all. However, the delivery was dismal. Mel, who was the original salesman, was a very, very nice man and very professional. He did everything he could to get things right, but the delivery company was disgraceful. We asked for it to be earlier in the day and we were a little bit rushed to get it. Mel did everything he could to expedite the delivery.
When the guys came, they called me on my cell phone instead of my father-in-law and told me that they will be there in 15 problems. I said, ''Not a problem.'' I called my father-in-law. He waited downstairs for over an hour and a half, but they never showed up. They never called and their excuse was that the building itself turned them away. The building said they did not and these guys just never showed up. I don't know if it was the same crew that came back two days later. So that side of it was so screwed up.
The actual delivery, the guys were very confident. I don't know if these were the same guys. They were great. They were in and out. They set everything up. We had no problems. Just quality experience.

My husband ordered the Craftmatic bed. It was a friend of a friend of a friend kind of thing, so I am sure that experience was very good. The delivery was on time. They were very neat during the installation; they even took off their shoes. They were also very accommodating.
I had a Craftmatic that was nearly 30 years old. One motor had broken, and it had to stick long wire, was noisy and heavy and started to leak oil. This new one now is empty under the bed. There's a big space between the box spring and the floor, which my old bed didn't have. And then there's this remote. You can barely see the motor at all - it's like a little box. There's really a big difference. They've made tremendous improvements on the bed. I love the bed. I'm very happy!

I ordered the Craftmatic bed for my sister. She has used it about 2 weeks now. She got it before that but she was in rehab for 2 months. So we got it delivered before she came home. She likes it very well. She said it's very comfortable.
When I called to order it, I got this girl. She took care of everything for me. I'm in sales too so I understand what they go through. But she was very attentive. She thought of things that I didn't think of because I wasn't that familiar with the bed or anything else. She gave me some pointers. She had one so she knew a lot of things and what to recommend. We've had her a little longer 'cause you don't think about the foot coming up or the head coming up or whatever that maybe you need to make some adjustments on it.
The problem that we had is when it came, instead of being 22 inches from the floor to the top of the mattress, it was 26 1/2. With my sister, that was very difficult for a few days. She had to have help getting in and out because she has a lot of problems with her legs. When I called, they got a service guy out here within a couple of days (2-3 days) and changed the legs on it. So now she is able to get in and out - it's okay now. That was the only issue we had.
I got her a semi-firm on one side and firm on the other. And she said the bed is comfortable. She's heavier and one thing she needed to do is have her legs elevated which she couldn't do on her own. So when she's in the bed, she can adjust them so that they're higher than her heart 'cause she has swelling in her legs too. That feature is very good. She likes that. She's been sleeping very well.
Actually the Craftmatic is what she requested so that's what we got. First we were talking about a Sleep Number bed. Then I thought, ''Well, I don't know about them,'' 'cause I was watching the ad on that. She has a standard bed (it's not a twin), and I see the Sleep Number have two mattresses in there. I don't think that's gonna be adequate for what she needs. I don't know if she'd heard about Crafmatic or what, but then she told me she wanted a Craftmatic. So I did all the ordering because she was in rehab already.
They were great. We had a great agent (she knew what she was talking about). And even having it too high was not a big deal because we're people - bad things can happen. I thought they had to replace the bed and all they had to do is replace the legs, which is AWESOME. It was a GREAT experience! They delivered in record time. I'm just very pleased with it. :)

Craftmatic called me regularly and I started dealing with them. The deal was okay. I've had my first Craftmatic bed for 34 years. This is my 2nd one, which I purchased on the 15th. I'm paralyzed for 35 years... totally paralyzed, disabled. In June of 1979 I had a stroke and residual injuries all over. The bed makes me comfortable. I just raise the head. However, when it first came, I couldn't sleep in it 'cause it was too high. So the service guy put new legs on it. It's okay but the legs now could be another couple inches higher.
Check around all places before you make a decision. I'm not quite satisfied but I'm not totally disappointed. It could have been much better.

I have chronic GERD, this reflux action that comes up my esophagus at night. I was climbing on like 5 pillows at night to try to go to sleep. Then I bought the Craftmatic last February, and I put my legs up at night and then set it up. The pain comes out of the feet and everything else by putting them up a little bit on the bed. I really enjoy my bed. I've only had one attack of GERD since then, and that was my own stupid fall (I ate a cup of peanut butter at 11 o'clock at night so I deserve that one). But other than that, it has been wonderful. I haven't had any discomfort at all since that time.
I always have heard about a Craftmatic bed. You have seen them on television and different things. Then I lost everything in Sandy, all my homes and my possessions. I was sitting here and when it was time to get a bed, I said to my daughter I'm going to get a Craftmatic bed because I deserve this at this age. ''The heck with the expense!' I said, 'I deserve this.' (The way I feel as far as it can help with my medical problems, which it does.) There was no question, I went and got a Craftmatic bed. We went online and we went right directly to Craftmatic online. We didn't look for a store that had it or anything. We called it up and it was delivered.
I'm kinda short and fat. These new beds are so high off the grounds, like 36 inches off the ground. I had to jump in (what I used to do is take a cane with me that has a hook on the end and hook it on the other side of the mattress and pull myself in that way). The person at Craftmatic said he could make it to 20-23 inches off the ground. Well I'll tell you, I was never so happy in my life!!! I can get up, get dressed and put my shoes on. It's the same height and everything else... I just love it! Besides getting up and getting rid of my health problems, it also makes me happy to be able to sit on the bed when I want to and to get in without jumping. I'm just thrilled with this bed that it's only 23 inches off the ground!
They installers showed me which buttons to push, how to push the buttons. They were very nice and courteous and no problems. But I did have a problem with the repair on it. The one part that kicks the mattress up in there came out (I don't know if it broke off. I don't know how long it was there or what the story was.). It's only about a 2 inch bar that sticks down there that holds this whole mattress. I don't know if it's supposed to be a big one 'cause it looks like the metal part was not finished off right; it was finished off roughly like. My mattress was falling down about 6 or 8 inches from the top of the bed. And I noticed the spot was on the floor under the bed. The repairman came anyway and put it back up in there. He was very very nice and very very efficient.
I just love my Craftmatic and recommend it to all my friends (because I go around with 15 widows). Geez, it's just magnificent... There's nothing like it EVER! I should've gotten this a long time ago while I was younger. There's no other experience when I go into a Craftmatic bed and the way you can place it in the position you want to for comfort.

We went there and that's like 40 years ago. We bought Craftmatic early in those years. Someone came to me and I think we must have called or something because it looked good. We signed to buy the bed. Then over the weekend, I was thinking about it and I said, 'It's a lot of money. I have all these kids. Maybe I shouldn't spend so much money.' So I called them back and said I didn't want to buy the bed. They said, 'Oh, I want you to understand that you signed and after three days, you have to buy it. Less than three days, you were okay. But after three days, you have to buy it.' So like I was stuck. I had to buy this bed. But when I got the bed, I absolutely loved it. I worked for lawyers at the time and I mentioned it to them. They said, 'Do you want to get out of it?' I said, 'No, I love the bed. No, I love it.'
I have arthritis. It helps not to have to lie flat. It's very comfortable. I don't use the massage at all. I just like being able to put the back up and then I put the legs up slightly. And that's how I sleep. It's almost a sitting position, but it's very comfortable especially how some nights I got my hair done and I don't want to get it messed up. I can just curl on my pillow.
It's been 30 or 40 years now, but we had to get new motors a couple of years ago. Now we have the handheld one, wireless, and I love it. I called the service when my handheld wasn't working. I could not open it. I'm thinking maybe I'm going to break it. Maybe it's not supposed to be opened, so I was afraid to force it. There wasn't a marking. I kept calling them and there was a machine that would say, 'And if you want service, press 2.' I pressed two and then immediately I would get, 'All lines are busy. Please leave your name and number. We'll call you back.' They never called me back. Five days, I kept leaving my name and number. Nobody called me back. Then finally I called. I dialed a different number than 2. I got a live person. I said, 'Just don't put me on 2 because they don't answer.' I told them the story. 'Oh, I'm so sorry. Let me help you.' Then I will get back to 2 and it will get me a recording. It was so frustrating. One of the messages was you could go on the internet, so I did. They told me that I could open the handheld and there were batteries in there. So I got a screwdriver and forced it open. Then I got it opened. I changed the batteries and it's fine. That's how I solved my problem. It's very frustrating that you can't get a live person when you go on service.
I hate to go on vacation (and I have a daughter in California) 'cause if I go out there, I don't have my bed. I did recommend it to a friend and he did buy. Of course, he had trouble getting out of bed so I said, 'You could just lift yourself, get back up and then go get out.' It worked out well for him.
Overall, I will rate them 5. Of course, I would tell them about the service call. It's hard to get service off of them. I will tell people I have an electric bed that I just absolutely love. I've had it for years and years. I wouldn't dream of changing it because it's so comfortable with different positions you can make yourself to suit yourself if you're heavy, if you're thin, if you're whatever. Yeah, you can make that bed fit your contour. Their bed is wonderful, but their service is not so hot.

On the contract it states, "3 business days," we can cancel the order. Now, they have charged us $390 for delivery. I think that is totally absurd. Many friends knew about our ordering of the bed and said to let them know how it worked because they were interested in the possible purchase. This is my second Craftmatic bed, which I purchased around April 30. We purchased the first bed in 1992. That was a very good bed. My grandchildren enjoy it, I really love my bed, and I had no problems with it so I decided to get a new one. When I called, they said they didn't make models from '92 anymore. When I went to get another bed, we went to a store but it seems my heart wasn't in there. I know I'm going to my Craftmatic. I got a call about Craftmatic that there's another Craftmatic bed. It was different.
But I like the newer model bed. This is good. This is very good. I think it's a stronger bed too. My other mattress is flat and firm when I lift the head up. Also, the circulation in my husband's leg is bad. He would prop up the bed and he's much better. My husband's been getting pretty well and for me that's all I need.
I was telling my sister's niece and my granddaughter about this. Craftmatic is a very good bed. I thought it was a very, very lovely and comfortable bed. I could adjust it any way I want to. It's just comfortable. I just love it. Even on a flat bed, I just didn't get it anymore. I have to have Craftmatic. I loved it over the years.

Well, it was time for a new bed. I needed a new mattress and stuff. I said I'm going to get the new mattress. Let me see what's like a Craftmatic - that a bed moves with me. At that time I happened to have been in a rehab center for my arm. I called Craftmatic, some other places and everything. I thought because of the name and everything, I would end up getting the Craftmatic.
Well, I did have a problem in the beginning because I'm a big person and I have to get the foam mattress. I found that with the foam mattress, it choked it off the side sort of tilted on it. They said that's because it's a foam mattress. I wasn't really very happy with that, so they got me legs that went up higher or lower. They did that and said I had 90 days or something if I didn't like it. I didn't know whether I was going to keep it because of that. But then when my leg got better, I was able to push myself up more and get into the bed better. So it was better for me.
But I have to tell you I was unhappy with the delivery people. 2 days after they left, I had a gentleman here in my house that does work for me. He said to me, ''What did you do to your door?'' I said, ''What do you mean?'' He said the spring on my front storeroom door was broken. I said nobody has been in and out of there. The only people that were in and out of that door were the people that delivered the mattress. I use only the side door because it has a ramp. Nobody uses my front door. I don't mind. Accidents happen. But I thought they should have told me that it broke. I didn't care because there's nothing really to fix it. I was just upset that they haven't told me about it.
When it comes to the features, I use all of them. I use the up, the bottom, the back of it, everything! I use the vibrator-type thing and I love that. My grandchildren also love that. They say, 'Grandmother, turn the bed on!' I think that's the only reason they come and stay with me. But that's about it. I like the bed. I've had problems with my legs for years. I fell and I broke my shoulder and my humerus - everything in my right arm. I couldn't move this arm or anything, so the Craftmatic really helped because it could push me up, put my legs up, everything else, which was very helpful to me. Even now that my arm's a lot better, I have problems with my legs and my knees so I use it all the time. I'm very satisfied with it. I would buy it again.
I would recommend it because it's really helped me with getting in and out of bed, raising my legs up, and then I'll have my back up so that I'm partially sitting. And then I had to get out of bed, so I lower the bed type thing and put it flat so that I can get out of bed. I don't have to mess with 3 pillows at my back, one under my legs. It's been very good for me. There were only a few little minor things, but they all worked out and I really liked the bed!

I have had this Craftmatic bed since October of last year. I was watching TV and it kept popping up and popping up. I was listening to people talk about it. My sister had one. She had hers for about 15 years and she enjoys hers. My mother had one, so they recommended it. I've had bad legs all my life. They ache a lot during the evenings. I always had to use a pillow to elevate my legs. I got tired of these lock beds that you couldn't elevate anything. I just said, 'Well, I need a new bed so I'm going to go for it.' So I did. I like it.
When the gentlemen came up, they were very nice and very professional. They put it right up in like 10 minutes or so. He showed me how to use the set buttons to set the position that I wanted it in. They were very nice and I've been enjoying it ever since. I use the foot spring to bring the bed up, so that helped my legs. And just recently, I broke my foot so I am enjoying it very much.

I've had 3 back operations. I have an artificial shoulder. I have multiple knee operations. I've had a couple of abdominal operations. I am a chronic pain patient. It's improved my daytime, it's terrific!!!
And not only myself - my wife had her hip replaced last year. She also has some back pain. She's constantly using the upright position to relieve the pain and watch TV. We have the twin adjustable and the California queen. I have the larger size because I'm a larger guy. The massage and all is terrific. We just enjoy it so much. It's the best investment we ever made.
We basically made the decision on our own. We looked at the sleep system where it blows up with air, and we don't like the Tempurpedic because it's hot. We've known about Craftmatic for many many years. We just came at that point where we're financial capable of purchasing one. Also, I've recommended it to friends. Actually, my sister at a very young age had been diagnosed with back problems. Once she goes financially capable of purchasing one, she's certainly going to do so.
I think it's the best bed for anyone who has any sort of extra pains, who has any need for that type of bed. The comfort level is outstanding. The mattress is outstanding. And the build quality of the bed is outstanding. It is smooth, quiet, and comfortable. You can put yourself in any position you want - we both have our favorite positions. I can't say enough about it, really!

We went online to research adjustable bed and that kind of stuff and found it online. I read the online advertisement about Craftmatic and then contacted them and it went from there. We had a good experience with Craftmatic so we went down that road.
The adjustable bed makes it easier for her live. It's been a few weeks since we bought it and she sleeps fine. She uses head, foot raise. She uses both of those, different reasons, different times. The installers put it together and showed it to her and demonstrated how that works and she appreciated all that. She loves the bed. She likes it.

We moved the bed into our house yesterday and went to use it and it wouldn't work. Immediately we checked the batteries and we checked the wall plug to make sure we're getting current. By that time it was 10 o'clock that night. We did try to get underneath it. We lift it up; it's quite heavy. We were looking for a reset button but couldn't find it because of the dark. I found it this morning, but in the meantime I put in the service ticket. It's a very nice bed. She loves it. We know she'll make good use of it when she comes to our house. We found the reset button today and everything's fine.
She purchased the bed from Homemakers Furniture in Urbandale, IA new in '05. It's actually her third Craftmatic bed. It was delivered and set up by people from the store where we bought it. She was very satisfied. It worked right away. She would sleep in the inclined position, slightly inclined. And that seemed to make her rest more peacefully.
My mother-in-law has 2 daughters. The first bed, she gave to her oldest daughter, in which she bought the 2nd one. When she bought the 3rd, she gave the 2nd bed to my wife. And my wife has gone through two total hip surgeries. And those have been very very helpful in her recovery period and then comfort in the bed rest.
We're extremely pleased with the Craftmatic bed. We're very satisfied with it. We haven't had any disappointments until last night when we couldn't get it to run. But we haven't had any problems.

My then 83-year-old dad fell. He broke his shoulder, collar bone, wrist, femur head and hip. At 6' 3 1/2", 260 lbs, suffering from COPD and heart issues, that is a big deal. For a year and a half, my dad has slept in a lift chair. The head physical therapist told us my dad really needed to be in a bed and she said he would be able to sleep in a Craftmatic bed. She assured us that she could get him in and out of it and sleeping in it.
I immediately called Craftmatic. I told our sales rep the situation. My dad had to sleep sitting up. He had heavy hardware in his arm, from his shoulder to his wrist. He had breathing issues which meant he had to sleep sitting up. We were assured that everyone loves their Craftmatic bed. To his recollection, not one bed was ever returned. He assured us the bed would be delivered before we left town, so we could help my dad adjust to it. We felt tremendous pressures to decide, as the bed was on inventory reduction, and there was only one left, and we had to make a decision within a day. Please! Never make a decision that fast. I so wanted my dad to be able to sleep in a bed that we went ahead with it.
What a mistake! The bed was not able to be delivered in the time frame promised. They did offer me a chance to cancel, but we wanted my dad to sleep in a bed. How I wish I had cancelled! The bed was delivered and my parents tried it. For four nights, each night got progressively worse for my dad. Each night, it became more painful. The hardware in his arm, with the gravity pull, was excruciatingly painful. No matter how they tried to raise the arm, cushion the arm and make my dad comfortable, it was impossible for him to be comfortable in the Craftmatic bed. In reality, each night became more painful.
I called the salesman, Peter. He was very short. He informed me the bed could not even be scheduled for a pickup/return for 31 days. I explained the situation. He said that the contract I signed, on behalf of my parents, stated we would try the bed for 31 days. Yes, I signed the contract. Under the pressure of ordering and leaving my parents, I did misread the contract. I thought it read we had up to 31 days to return. That was what was continually said to me on phone conversations. We had up to 31 days. Somehow I missed; it was we had to keep the bed for 31 days. Peter told me the 31-day period was to make people really give the bed a try.
My dad was done. He was in agony in the bed. The sheets were off. There was no way he was going to try the bed again. It was not a "getting used to it"; it was that he was in agony, in pain and could not. The bed did not work for him. Peter said I had to wait a week and he could maybe supersede the 31-day wait. All the while, my mother was sleeping on a couch, because she refused to sleep on the bed (we got the King dual bed for both of them), knowing it was going back.
Endless phone calls went unanswered and postponed. When I did talk with someone from Craftmatic, they made the offer to let my parents buy the bed for $2400 less. Keep the bed and they would refund the money. I think that is how they can say, "To my knowledge, no one has ever returned a Craftmatic bed." My parents did not want the bed even for $2000.
I called and called. When I was able to actually talk with someone, I felt like they were appeasing me, saying what I wanted to hear, all the while going the way they wanted to handle it (slow and 31-day wait). I called and pleaded. My mom is the only caregiver for my dad. He is in a wheelchair and needs total care. This situation was stressing my mom beyond measure. She wanted the bed gone and her bed back. I was fearful this was going to cause my mom a stroke. All my pleas to Craftmatic went unheard or pacified.
Finally, after three weeks, we were told boxes for the delivery would be sent. Once we got the boxes, we could schedule a pickup. Then I got an email; the boxes could take 5-10 to be delivered. Are you serious? We are talking about an 84-year-old couple, who are home bound, who were dramatically affected by having that bed still in their home. The shipping manager from Craftmatic, Danai, said she would order the pickup as though the boxes were already there. Well, if she did, it was interesting the delivery pickup company did not talk with us until the boxes had actually been delivered.
Then, the pickup company, Manna Distributor, said it would take a week before they could pick it up. They scheduled a day to pick up and called to say they made a mistake. It could not be that day. They computer was wrong. No one would be in their area. They scheduled another day. Then they made a mistake, and did not pick it up on the day it was supposed to be picked up. The nightmare continued. I called Craftmatic, and left an extremely upset message. My parents waited for the four-hour period of time the truck was supposed to come. Their life was on hold. No one came. When I called the pick up company, I was told the drivers made a mistake. They missed the order to pick up. It would be another week. Craftmatic never returned the message I left. I just believe they really do not care.
My opinion and experience: Craftmatic truly does not care about the consumer. They care about their name, their reputation. They care about no one ever returning a bed. They answer calls when they want to and not because they are serving the customer. Peter got defensive when I suggested we were not listened to and guided correctly.
I am still waiting for the bed to be picked up - a month of calling, pleading and trying to find someone who cares. What a horrible experience. Don't let it happen to you. If you are buying the bed for a medically challenged person, think twice. My experience with Craftmatic was awful! I would never trust this company or believe them to be honest.

My mom has had a Craftmatic for a while, but I didn't know she had it for over 30 years. I was talking to my aunt and she said she had hers for over 30 years too. I can't remember what went on; I think I just decided to get it and to call them and talk to them. So I ordered mine in December and got it in January. I like all the features of the bed and I always wanted one that goes up and down. Last night, I lifted my head and it helped me. I like the massage, and I like the idea that 1 side of the mattress is firm and the other side is plush.
The sales people were really good to me when I ordered the bed; they were really great. They gave me a promotional thing. Plus, the delivery was good and there was no problem with that either. No one came to my home and demonstrated the features though. I don't know if living in Arizona had anything to do with it. From what I understand they're out of Florida.
Overall, they are a good company to go with. They were great to shop with. I'm very happy, I'm very pleased and grateful. They really worked with me with it. I was weary about ordering it over the phone. I mean I went and tried it out and everything at this place was right and I'm very happy with it.

I bought my first Craftmatic bed in 2000. I originally got it because I slipped on some ice and hit my back with the step, and I needed to have something help me to lie down, and so I got a bed at that time. In October, I fell again and busted my arm. When I had my surgery, I found out that I had also broken or shattered the rotary ball. Then I got home and I had a slight problem lifting my bed up. I did it with my left arm and I couldn't get swung around enough to get out of bed. I usually get a half rail, and they were wonderful. They searched it down, gave me the phone number to call. And then when I got this new bed Wednesday, I found that my old half rail wouldn't work so I called them up, and again they did research and found out how I can use this rail so I don't have to buy another one.
I got a new bed because I wanted to get another mattress. The old mattress is still good and I had that mattress since 2000, so it's 13 years old, but it wasn't good enough for my back. And when I called to find out how much a new mattress is going cost and how much the new bed would be, I decided to get a few extra hundred dollars and might as well go ahead and get that bed.
The adjustable features I like are lifting the back (being able to raise the bed until it comes to a good position) and the vibration. The vibration really helps. And in the last 3 days, my son took my old one and at the same time decided to put in new flooring, take out the carpet and paint. And so for 2 days solid, we have been working in his bedroom. I got my new bed last night and laid in it and used the wave motion... My back felt wonderful.
I had checked around and the main reason I want Craftmatic is really their customer service. They were very good; they got back to me; they gave me the information I wanted; they did not high pressure me. I have a couple of them that said if I buy right now they'll give $500 off, and I don't buy anything right now without research. That ticks me off the minute that I have to do it that if I hang up, then I don't get the $500.
There was no high pressure. They strictly gave you the information. They ask if they could send out information for me and I decided that it would be great that way and have something in front of me. They were just great and fantastic right down to the delivery people. The guy who delivered was wonderful. It was great from the beginning when I first called them right from the minute he walked out the door.

Just recently we gave our mom a gift from all 5 of her children. It's our first experience with Craftmatic. This has been the best she's slept in so long. She is so happy to have a quality bed. First I was just seeking information about Craftmatic. I've seen the ads on the television... it looks so comfortable the way it was made, the different features it has. Then the 800 number is in the yellow pages. It was just a lucky coincidence that I was looking at something out. I was just getting information but I ended up coinciding to a sales promotion, so we saved money on that. Then I talked to the sales representative. Everyone that I spoke with was very helpful. I was very pleased that the unit is American made with American components in Kentucky.
Every step of the way was very excellent. The bed was received on Friday morning as agreed. The delivery came in the morning which is very comfortable to receive the bed. I spoke with Diane - she did a follow up call. She made sure that everything went smoothly. The delivery people were very considerate and professional, and they made sure the very height and the very space in my mom's bedroom, that she knew how to run the remote.
My mom already noticed a change, especially the support it gives and the features of the reclining head and feet, to take the pressure off. It's a very quality bed at a worthwhile price. It gives peace of mind and it's a wonderful gift to either yourself or someone that you care about. I'll definitely talk up Craftmatic.

The reason we chose Craftmatic probably is because my husband has had a lot of leg injuries and I thought it might be nice if he can put his feet up, and then I found that I enjoyed it just as much if not more. We got our first one 20 years ago and this new one about a week ago. We're getting the best night's sleep with it. We very much like use it when I've worked a hard day and while I put my feet up. Everything is fine. Ordering went very smoothly. No problems. We're happy with it. Great company. It has been a good experience - the reason why we've been a repeat customer.

I had a Craftmatic bed since about 1990 and then I just replaced it. I had been sleeping on the recliner for months and the Craftmatic has helped a lot.
First of all, the older one... I used it a lot because I had two knee replacements and messed up my knees and all kinds of different surgeries. It always made it better because I could sit up or sleep for how ever. I was comfortable in whatever position I was comfortable in and it always made my recovery comfortable. And the new one - I really haven't used it. It's only I think three or four days, but it's been really nice, very similar except of course now the remote controls, so that's fantastic. That's a big improvement because before I glued the control; I had to pin it to my bed so I wouldn't lose it. And the cord would slip and curl and so forth. I have a lot of pain constantly especially at night, so sometimes in the morning it's really difficult for me to get out of bed and I just push a button and let the bed pull me up. So that's a good help.
Each step along the way, the sales team explained it. They did a lot of explanations and told me in great detail what I was getting and the paperwork to confirm, the delivery was good, then they set it up. The only one I didn't have is there was no instruction manual. But I would say it was excellent. I already recommended Craftmatic to my friends.

I just got it. It was delivered last week. I had Craftmatic before that really had been like a secondhand one that I had received, and I really liked it - it was good. I thought I should 'stick with the good thing' and that's why I got this other one. In all honesty, I haven't had a chance to use it (I had a family emergency), but I already have recommended it to a friend.
They just worked extremely nice and were very efficient. They came in and asked me where I wanted it. I showed them where and they said, 'Okay, now we are removing the old bed.' They set it up and then taught me everything I needed to know about this new Craftmatic bed. And they were very punctual too. They called in the morning and said they would be there between 8:00 and 8:30, and they were there like at 5 minutes after 8, so that was great. I also really like the salesperson I talked with. His name was Bill ** and he was excellent. He went through what they had, asked me different questions that I felt were very appropriate for what we were trying to do as far as the bed was concerned, and made sure it was the right fit. I would say everything was very positive. Excellent service. Friendly.

This is my second Craftmatic bed. I have one I got back in '99 and everything still works fine on it. But the mattress itself was breaking down. It's 14 years old so it's kind of to be expected. I called primarily to get a price for a new mattress, and the price they quoted me on the mattress was only about a thousand dollars cheaper than the whole new bed. The mattress on the new bed is quite a bit thicker than the old mattress. Plus, the new one's got a wireless remote. So anyway, it seemed like the logical thing to do was to get the new bed and I gave my old bed to my grandson.
I got my new Craftmatic bed on Tuesday. Everything went as planned. They met delivery time. They said between 12 and 4, and they were here at 2. The guys were really nice and courteous as far as bringing the bed in and setting it up. I had problems with the favorite positions, as far as programming it. I talked to a guy in the service department at Craftmatic. He ran me through a bunch of stuff so I try it. It seemed like there ought to be an easier way because according to the instructions, it says all you got to do is hit the set button and to get into the position that you want and it's supposed to program it, but it doesn't. I talked to him and he said, ''Oh, that's not uncommon. Sometimes you have to do it three or four times.''
I use the up and down - one thing or another, get the head and feet in the position I want. And I like the massage that's on there. It's been a pleasant experience.

We just bought the place last year. When we bought it, all the furniture and everything went with it, so I was lucky enough to get a Craftmatic bed. And the minute I started sleeping on it, I loved it because I have a lot of things going on that it really helps me with.
I was needing to elevate my foot really really bad. When we came down here that winter, then I had my second surgery, it was 2011 and the first part of 2012, I was able to elevate that. And that helped my legs and feet tremendously. That was swelling so bad where I had that major surgery. And I've also had two back surgeries. One back when I was very young, it was 1971. It helped me with that because I can adjust the bed into whatever position is most comfortable for me. I also have arthritis, reflux syndrome and hernia.
The Craftmatic bed has given me my best night's sleep.
Their ordering process was very easy. I went online. Very fast. They delivered yesterday. That was great. Fantastic job. But after that we had trouble with our remotes. It won't work at all. My husband put new batteries but it still doesn't work. My remote does everything except for the wave.
Overall, the Craftmatic bed is such a big help for me. That's the reason my husband wants to get one for himself after he saw how much it helped me. Just so happy, I finally found something that worked for me, especially in winter.

I have a lower back problem, one. Two, the existing bed I had was as old as I am and it was not a very comfortable place to lie. Three, I do not sleep plain flat on that bed. The Craftmatic has helped me tremendously in that aspect. I raise my back, and I raise my feet up just a little bit. But it hasn't relieved my lower back problem. I don't know, my back will never be right. So, I don't blame the bed. I've had it beginning of this month - a pretty short period of time. I kind of like my bed. I'm saying I'm quite pleased with it.
The guys were really good. They took my old bed away and were ecstatic to get it (because it looked like brand new). And I've never slept on one before, I've never been on one before, I've never laid on one before, but anything would be better than what I had. The only thing is, I want to get a mattress cover for it, and I think I ordered one from somewhere, but I hadn't gotten it yet. Also, it's very expensive. With the exception of the mattress that raises, I don't think it's worth the money.

We've had our Craftmatic bed for about 5 months. My husband had been quite ill and so it made him rather weak, and there were times when he needs a little help in getting to set up in the bed. The Craftmatic takes care of that, because you can raise the head and that sort of pushes you up, so that helps. But we both have acid reflux and you can adjust your bed so that you are sleeping at a flat, so that helps both of us.
On the day of installation, the guys really seem to know what they are doing. They were here on time, and they set up everything very quickly for all the work they had to do. There's a lot to do to put them together. And they explained to us how we use the remote control. So they were very, very efficient. I ordered it over the telephone; the gentleman that I spoke with was very courteous, and he even offered me an extra discount because my husband is a veteran. I wasn't even expecting that; I just was expecting the regular price, but they made me a couple of extra offers, so that was very good. We're satisfied with it. A king-size bed is hard to make anyway but this because it's 2 twins attached, you can raise the head so that you can reach across and tuck in the fitted sheet when you're changing the sheets. Also, it has some features that make it a little easier to use. I've vibrated a couple of times but my dogs get a little upset when that goes on. Once it's gone a little bit, they settle down and kind of like it themselves, but it's a little different. But I think that was the only other feature that I've used. Overall, my experience with Craftmatic has been very good.

It's short and sweet. My experience with Craftmatic was very good. They were very cooperative, I'm happy to say. And we had several mattresses here that my wife didn't like. Finally, they sent one. Well, there isn't any more and that's the last one they have. So you know she may not like this one but if she doesn't like this one, it's not their fault because they sent her every mattress in the house. And that is acceptable, so I have no complaint with them; they did a good job. We've been using the bed for about two weeks. Actually, this is our third bed. We replaced the mattress due to the age of it. We've been using the different adjustable features for 40 years. Their performance was very satisfactory. I would recommend them.

I purchased my Craftmatic bed on May 21st 1991. It has been a wonderful experience. I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have been a fairly well person, but a few times I was sick, it really just made life a great deal more comfortable for me. I'm 88 years old now and I had hip replacement. Well, over the years, I've had a number of very serious surgeries. And each time, being able to raise my head or my leg certainly was a great deal of joy. This is now 30 something years and I have never had a problem with it, until recently, when the head was jammed in the upright position and my son was able to because Wade (Wade, that's one of your technicians) helped him on the phone to allow the back to go down.
Just recently, when the head stopped working, there was a little problem because they weren't sure they had that right - the motor. This now goes back over 30 years, so I could understand that. I was very disappointed. But Wade did find the motor through this East something - I don't know - they managed to do it after a great deal of effort. At least yesterday, he told me he's sending the motor in the mail. And that's about it. But I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The mattress is excellent. I don't even need an additional mattress because I've always protected it. Nevertheless, you would think by over 30 years I should need another mattress, but I bought the top-of-the-line - maybe that was the reason. I guess it was this foam mattress. Well, anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend it highly. The people at Craftmatic are unusually professional and helpful. And you know I become a pain in the neck when I try to get the right person to speak to, because everybody was so horrified to find out that I still have this bed after 30 years.
The top-of-the-line is where I am on with Craftmatic. A few people that I dealt with were wonderful. I didn't get the feeling like I was dealing with a very large company. I obviously got the feeling that I was dealing with a company that's been around a long time. But something was amiss, like they weren't absolutely sure that they could help me, which I felt was strange. But anyway, when I got to the right person, he took over. His name is Wade (I don't know what his last name is, but he's in the service department at Craftmatic) and he did a marvelous job. And so far, he said he was putting it in the mail. So I should have gotten it or probably will get it within the next few days. Then, I have to find a way to put it in my bed. I'm not sure that that's going to happen easily, but he said that as long as I was able to relax the head portion... But that seems to be a very critical kind of operation, because he says in order to replace the motor, there's this one knob bolt, I think, that has to be looked at, the same kind of bolt that was on the motor that allowed the head to go down. So I still have not completed my job here. But I'm still waiting for the whole job to be completed.
I would say that if you are going to look for an adjustable bed, you not only will have the very finest opportunity to buy a bed that obviously has longevity, but you will be dealing with a very professional group of people who can help you put yourself through the phases of at least keeping the bed in its pristine condition all the time that you need it. And I recommend it highly. It's a number 5.

It was something else). So he wanted me to have one because he knew I'd been sitting up at night and reading and what not. I suppose maybe once in a while there might be a gastric problem or something like that, but I don't have that now. But I just found it to be very comfortable. So after my husband passed (I've had mine for at least 30 years or 25 years or whatever), I decided to have a new one. And so that's what I did. They said they don't take care of the spring, just the mattress. So, I'll have to get somebody to get rid of it for me. And it was kind of unhandy when I'm handicapped. Other than that, the installers did a good job. They showed me how to use it and answered all my questions. The bed is handy with the new style remote. Otherwise, I had the old style remote control. The people at Craftmatic were very, very accommodating and the delivery guys were terrific. I would say that they were professional, they were honest in their advertising, and they did the best they could on the price for me. When they came to install my bed, they showed me how to use it and answered all of my questions. And I had called because I thought it was too high, and they sent someone out to check it but they couldn't make it any lower, because otherwise the motor would hit the floor. So I wasn't able to get it lower, but I was able to get a little bench that sits under my bed. When I pull it out, it means that 'get on my bed; if it makes it too high for me, my legs went dead from that one'.
My legs swell. I'm not able to move them. If I push the up and lower part of the bed, it raises my legs and my knees bend, and then I can slowly set them apart, so that could help. I like to squeeze with it with my legs up and my head could lower down. Basically my head, my legs are above my heart. It helps at night when I went to sleep.

I've had the Craftmatic bed for about two weeks. I've had a different Craftmatic bed before for about 25 years. I broke my back in 3 places. It's the only way I can sleep. I have to cut my bed in that shape to take the pressure off my spine. So far from the first one I had, they serviced it. I mean I was in Germany one time, and they even sent parts over to repair it. And I've never had problem with them. I think one of the sensor boards went out on it, and they didn't question it; they just sent the parts to me and that was it. I put the sensor board in, and it started working; I never had a minute stolen after that. I wouldn't have gotten rid of it except the mattress was wearing out, after so many years. And only this one here is really comfortable.
My favorite adjustable feature is raising your head up. The bed is comfortable, the mattress is comfortable. The vibrating stuff, I don't need that. But it would be better if they had like a heat system there.
The installers came in and took the old one down. The only miscommunication was I wanted to keep the bottom part of the old bed for the control arm. And since I'm in a wheelchair, I didn't get out there in time to make sure that they've done that, but I told them that they may have already exposed dirt. They came in real professional and dismounted the old bed, figured out here, set up the new bed. It has two sides to it, a firm side and a soft side. And I use the soft side. And the guys asked me which side I preferred. On my last bed, the mattress had an extra cushion layer on it, which this one doesn't. It means that it has a firm side or a soft side is basically the same thing, and it adjusts. What's good about this one is that 2 positions that you can program into happened to be the smooth all out the push a button and it goes right back before I had it. Very good outfit. They stand behind their products.

I've been a customer of Craftmatic for seven years before my bed was replaced. We've had two beds actually. It was a cold call, so to speak, and I called not knowing who I would be speaking with. I spoke with a gentleman (I can't remember his name now), but he was very helpful in reordering the bed. The problem that I had with getting the beds was our date back into our home kept changing. So it was like, 'Oh, I can't give you a date.' So they were very good about that part of it, being flexible about delivery and that kind of thing. So I would call them and they would call me and I would call them back. I thought that part of it went very well.
It was a very busy day when the installers were here and sad to say, I really didn't spend a lot of time with them interacting with them, because there was something other things going on that day as well. They basically brought the bed in and set them up, and I really at that point in time didn't have any questions. But they said to me, 'If you have any further questions, please call blah blah blah.' They were very polite. They were in and out very quickly. They were here when they said they would be here.
The first Craftmatic bed that we got was for my husband who was an esophageal cancer patient. And after his surgery for that, he was told he could not lie flat. He needed to be elevated, so that was when we first got the first bed, and then I followed with the bed also. They're very comfortable beds. You can elevate the feet or the head and so it's nice. We have actually two twin size, but they're hooked together so they're like a queen bed, so there are a lot of options on those. And the mattresses that we have are very comfortable.
I would definitely tell my friends and family to try it. They're very expensive and for some people, that's not an option, but they are comfortable bed. The first ones that we had were older ones, and these newer ones have the wireless remote in them now and are much quieter than the older ones were, so that's an added feature. And they seemed very responsive to any requests that you have. And if it were a person that would really want to look at it and try it, I would say try it, because they do have that guarantee where if you get it and you don't like it, I believe you can send it back. So I'm thinking if that's an option, they definitely would like to try it. They gave us a good price on it for both beds and they delivered when they said they would deliver and so forth and so on. And so I'm pretty satisfied with the transaction that I had with the company.
My experience was a positive one for the most part. There's no reason why I wouldn't go back. Again, the price is prohibitive, I think, for some individuals. They tend to be very expensive, but we did not know about Craftmatic beds until my husband had his esophageal cancer, and that's how we were introduced to them and became familiar with them. And we were pleased with it at that point in time. I wasn't really crazy about it at first, but I've grown accustomed to it now and really enjoyed it now that I have it again, because we have to be out of our home for a while and sleep in a bed that was not a Craftmatic bed. I've come to enjoy the Craftmatic bed.

My experience with Craftmatic was very good. The only thing I have a complaint about is that we called the 800 # on the TV. The commercial said no obligation, but then five minutes later a salesman called and it turned out it was alright, because I needed the bed. But we would rather have gotten the information and then had the chance to decide. They could have sent the information instead of just having the salesman call because if we had known that, we wouldn't have made the call in the first place.
I purchased the bed about two or three weeks ago. I purchased one in about 1978 - I got a demonstator with me just to be able to sell them off. And it lasted for something like 27 years. It was a fantastic bed. I purchased what I thought was another one. I found out when I purchased this one that we've gotten ripped off by a Chinese company. Chinese has ripped off the Craftmatic name and sold a cheap copy; that's what I ended up. It only lasted about a month.
I'm absolutely fine with the quality of the bed. It was easy enough to get the bed. I've been bedridden for the last eleven years. I've got a back injury as well as cerebral palsy. And the bed I had, it was way too long and I could never get in and out of bed on my own or anything else. It just wouldn't bend on the right places, that sort of thing. This new one is a lot better. I use the up and down feature for the most part. I'm in the bed a lot so I adjust it a lot. Also, I do like the massage. That seems to be a lot more effective than some of the others I've had.
The installers were very helpful. I wasn't able to be out of bed at that particular time but they patiently waited. And they did everything they could. They made sure the bed was alright and everything else. It was perfect - no problem whatsoever. I would definitely recommend Craftmatic. I'm very pleased.

The first Craftmatic, we've had it for 15 years or better. I'm on my second bed - it was purchased less than a month ago. I was needing to replace the mattresses and we were able to buy a whole new bed system for just a little few more dollars than what the mattress is going to cost us. They were disposing their last year's model and getting ready for new 2013 series. The installers seemed to be pretty good. I screwed up on the controls after it's all set up, and they had a control that was operating both sides of the bed at once and still does. We had got a new control from the company, but we hadn't incorporated it yet.
The bed helps out. I like the vibration. The only thing in question that we need to contact back, we wanted an extra firm mattress my side and it seems a little softer than the previous one I had. But I had a very good experience with Craftmatic.

I've had Craftmatic before so it really isn't a big deal, but I like it. I'm just trying to get used to it a bit because I had a longer bed before, about 75 inches, but other than that it's fine. I now have my second Craftmatic bed. The service was good. The technician that came out, he explained what different parts of the bed was for (using anything), but he explained to me what the different things were for. And he was very patient in answering any questions that I might have had, because this bed is a little different than the one I had before.
I got it because sometimes I had problems with my lower back, and I can adjust my sleeping. I really liked the bed being able to adjust it to my needs. I would recommend it. I've talked to people about it in the past even. My overall experience is excellent.

The one I bought I've had it since December '12, I think. I purchased my first Craftmatic about 10-12 years ago. I got an additional bed for my mother. I have problems with the bed and I'm still waiting. I called maybe three weeks ago. I've made multiple calls since then and I'm still waiting for them to call me back. So my experience so far with them has not been very good. Right now the bed is unusable. I can't sleep with it because it's not flexible enough. And when I get up, it's like a straight mattress. It doesn't flex.
I called my salesman and he told me, 'Oh, that's normal.' But it's almost dangerous. The only way I can get out of bed is to actually lower it, which is a big pain when you have to get in and out of bed. I mean it doesn't have to often, maybe two or three times a night but still, who wants to lower their bed. I mean my other old bed, I never have to do that. Plus, one of the support bars came loose like when it was brought and I've called about it. It didn't even seem normal for it to come loose. The other bed has the same thing and it has never gotten loose. But once again, I'm waiting for service to call me back on it. Well, my experience so far has not been very good. The sales people I mean were very good but of course, I was dishing out several thousand dollars and of course, they'll be very good.
I have a reflux disease and my doctor told me to sleep in an elevated bed. That's why I got one, and then the new one I got for my mother for the same reason. Unfortunately, she died and I've been kind of using it. She never really had much of a chance to use it and so I was at the point where I can't use it so I just used my old bed. It's not a very comfortable mattress. It's nowhere near the quality of what I got about ten years ago.
If anybody asks me, I would not recommend a Craftmatic bed, not the ones that they're making now. You're probably better off getting some other make that you can find at a sleep store, mattress place. I'm kind of angry because they're not calling me back. I'm dissatisfied of course with the product. And I'm just thinking of just calling them up and just getting a refund. I'm very frustrated that they would sell a product that is this inferior. You have to understand that this is my third mattress that I have to get replaced and it's still not right. I mean this is not my first mattress for this new bed - it's the third one.

I just got a Craftmatic bed last week. I had one before - I've had it for 35 years. I had a double king and my husband died and I moved to a smaller place and I didn't have room for it, so I gave it away. Everybody at Craftmatic was very nice and the sales people know the specification; they took all my specification and they got them in. I'm very, very pleased with the man that came in and brought it in and set it up and all. He was very nice and did a good job and so I haven't had anything but good experience with the company.
My feet make swells and I've been able to lift my feet up higher than my heart. My daughter has recommended it. I needed that because I just had a regular bed before I got this one. I am extremely satisfied with Craftmatic.

This is my second Craftmatic bed (I got it a week ago). I had one for 20 years. Of course, they're not quite the same today as they were 20 years ago, but nothing is apparently. My son ordered the new bed for us because we were having a debate whether or not we should order the whole bed again or just the mattress. And hearing us go back and forth, he walked out of the room, dialed Craftmatic, ordered it up and said, 'Forget about it. I already ordered you a new one.' And that was what happened; he did it right on his phone. The delivery process went smoothly. They delivered it when they said they would, within the timeframe. They brought it upstairs, put it together and took away every single bed as they said they would.
The only new feature that they offered was that it's wireless. The one that we had was more money 20 years ago than this one was but 20 years ago, they were more like hospital beds and they were honestly much more sturdy than the new ones are. Actually, we should just have gotten the mattress, because there was not a thing wrong with this, and I'm sure they'll be able to use both beds that we had for parts to anyone who has a broken bed. But it's possible - it's what I need for my legs.
My husband's bed is perfect but my bed is wider and shorter than his. And as soon as I called, they sent someone over. They didn't hesitate. He took pictures and he said it's the first time he's ever seen anything like this and I was just waiting because they came last Friday. So I gave them a call and they said they have to have a supervisor call me. So I am waiting for the supervisor to call me.
We have twin beds is what we did so that we can adjust it separately, because that's the only way you can adjust it separately. Because I have to go up more and my legs have to go up more than my husband, so it had to be a twin bed. I have edema of the legs. I sleep better here because if I go away somewhere, if we go on vacation, I had to use at least four to five or six pillows in order to try to get a comfortable position which I don't usually get and I would get on my Craftmatic, because I can adjust it to bring the back up and whatever I have to do, and I can get a good sleep that I couldn't get on a regular bed. And it's nice and firm which is also good.
The Craftmatic bed lasted, everything lasted. The mattress is the only thing really that fell apart and that's 20 years. You'd expect the mattress not even that long. But the bed itself was made of iron, literally made of iron and it was made to last. I mean I had no problem there at all and I make my bed go up and down and up and down any number of times during the night, my old bed, during the night. And that's 20 years of going up and down and up and down and it lasted without a problem.
I would absolutely recommend Craftmatic - I always have. I'm talking my daughter-in-law into getting one for her father. So anyone who has ever had a problem, I know a lot of the people want the posturpedics and this and that and if I think you have any kind of a sleeping problem I am right there telling Craftmatic is the way to go. Craftmatic is the best thing to do because I think it's something that lasts. It's very nice to have something that is used to the shape of your body, but over the years, it's going to get worn in a particular area. With the Craftmatic, it goes up and down and up and down and the mattress stays the way it's supposed to stay. And if someone else wants to use it, they don't have a problem because it's not been used by you and your body has not gotten used to it, so it's like fresh all the time.

We've had Craftmatic Beds since early '90s and then about three months ago or so, around Thanksgiving time or past, my husband's bed broke a spring and we were remodeling our house, so I ordered two more because we have twin beds. He can't sleep laying down. He's handicapped. That's why we have Craftmatic beds. And I'm having trouble buying sheets and blankets for our beds, because I don't use the king size mattress pads and stuff.
The ordering process was pretty simple, but I can't get anyone to help me with the beddings. I bought these other two things, but I just can't get them to work. We've had Craftmatic for so many years. My husband cannot go to a regular bed anymore. It's one thing we have. Mine didn't wear out, but he was a big man; he's not that big anymore, but he broke his bed down a lot sooner than I would have. But as far as they delivered it on time and they put them together like I wanted and other than that, just not being able to find the beddings for it has been a thorn in my side.
Go ahead and get a Craftmatic. I had my back broken when I was 12 so I've always slept on a fairly hard bed. But I've had them all these years. If I didn't like them, we wouldn't have ever bought them again here a couple of months ago. I fairly think they're good and they stand behind their products. I'd recommend it to anybody. The only thing I have against it is I can't find the beddings that I want.

This is my second Craftmatic bed. I've had the second bed a couple of months now. My first Craftmatic, I had it for about 25 years. The sales team were very courteous because the bed I've ordered wasn't quite as long as I need it. They sent someone to pick up the one that they delivered and replaced it with a longer bed with no extra charge. When you're used to something for 25 years, nothing stands out. The only thing I can tell you the difference from between my bed, my old bed and my new bed is the remote control that I had on my old bed was wired. These are wireless. The quality is much better.
I had a knee replacement and a hip replacement. The bed has helped because initially when I had it replaced, I had to keep my leg elevated. It was a great experience and I would do it again.

This is my second Craftmatic bed. I purchased the first one about 25 years ago. I ordered the new bed sometime in January. It took them about a month to get it here somehow. The fellow said they could bring it and the kid called them and dealt with it and wanted to bring it, and I don't know what the problem was. Then they brought it and told me there's a hole in one of them. They brought me another one and they never could bring that and then they couldn't bring it and then we called and we called. Somebody needs to fire somebody. I was leery at the time they told me they would bring it and never did bring it.
I didn't have a problem with the bed, just the people who brought it. The management of the people that brought it was pretty sure I thought. Or the bed bought it all, I didn't have a problem. It was pretty good. But I have to say the people that brought it, they're supposed to get me another one and they kept screwing it up. They'd tell you to bring it, 'We could bring it Thursday.' They call you Thursday morning and they'd tell you, 'We can't bring it today. We'll bring it Monday.' Then Monday they call you they can't bring it. They would bring it Tuesday or something like that. I just got sick of this.
They did hire somebody else to deliver the bed. They got rid of the people that delivered the bed and hired somebody else. They got to pull out the delivery. Then they get to your house, they drag it in, drag it across the floor. They don't care about nothing. The last people that came and brought the bed, they came and got the bed. They told me they brought my new bed. Those two fellows out of Columbia, they were real good, real good. But the ones out of Savannah, they won't do nothing.
I got back cramps. My wife has got back cramps too. The problem is the mattresses on the other one had worn out. I bought a regular Sealy mattress that go across the bed, king size mattress you put on top of the bed. And we didn't get to use the bed then for raising it up like we really want to do. I finally got enough money to buy some mattress. I called them and asked to buy some mattresses and he told me, 'You have to buy the whole bed for a little bit more,' and they gave me a pretty good price and I did. I bought the bed, the remote and the entire thing. And I'm glad I did.
As far as I remember 25 years ago, they were sure they were coming and they did. There were two guys that brought it out and they took my old bed and they put it at my bedroom. They took it out and installed it the way that I want it installed. They did a good job. They did a better job at installation back then. They really did. People cared back in those days. People don't care anymore.
My experience with Craftmatic has been good, real good. My wife and I enjoyed the bed. I mean I wouldn't want to be without it. It does a lot. We get up in the morning with our back not hurting where before we'd get a back hurt all the time. It's just definitely good for us. Yes, it's worth the money.

I bought Craftmatic first time in 1997 and the second time this year. My experience was pretty good. I fell and broke my left hip in seven places in June, and I was told that I could never walk again. So I'd been in a wheel chair. I'd been on a physical therapy. But before that, I had problems with my lower back. And that's why I'd also gotten acid reflux. So the first one helped with that. And the second one has helped because the mattress is higher and the remote has more power in it. I've had the second bed for a week. So far I'm happy with the quality of the new bed, much better because I was downstairs in the health care center - their mattresses are unbearable. I couldn't wait to get up. Five months on that, it's just too much torture.
People should definitely get it and get what I did. I got the same thing I had before. They called that the top of the line. I don't know what you call it now. It's twin size. It has a remote control for vibrations and what not. And the head and the foot go up and down. It's perfect. The people who installed it brought the whole thing in. They took the old one out. They installed it and they showed me how to use the remote. The interesting thing about this is on the remote, there's a 1-800 number. 'Call us if you have any troubles with remote or anything else.' That information wasn't given to me the first time I was sold one.
The ordering process was absolutely easy and fast. When I had my power of attorney look it up on the internet because what I got, the local thing, was in Wilmington, Delaware. This time the central office I think is in Florida. And they have dispatches from Florida and Minnesota. The guy that talked to me was in Brooklyn. It just went zoom bang bing bang. The boys came in at the time they said they were coming. They picked up the truck in Western Maryland and brought it down here. I was the last one on the delivery lane. They couldn't have worked better. They took the old one with them.
Very efficient, good information. From the word 'go' when you call, it was a month apart I'd think when they came to visit you. The testing over the telephone to different vendors and what not was actually more technically accurate and you could really glue them like cake. That was important to me. The two thugs who delivered it knew everything about the remote control. I'm definitely satisfied. And I told them here about these nasty beds we have down in the infirmary. Of course, this cost more. I think this cost me $2,200 to deliver and take the other. Plus, the remote is ten times better than the other one. I paid almost $2,000 for the first one in 1997. People here buy these hospitals beds at outlets on the highway. They have sort of iron mesh in the middle, so they have to put a pillow down there if they have problems to the sacroiliac (that doesn't work). It doesn't have that problem.
Well, I'm 85. Okay, it's nice if someone says, 'We'll take it out no matter how decrepit it is.' No arguing. And they came in. The whole thing took less than half an hour. And then that remote, there's the number 1-800. 'And if it doesn't work or you're unhappy, we'll help you with the remote or anything else on the bed.' That wasn't available before. I thought I was going to have some problems because it's a monster compared to the other one - it was so simple and flat and childlike. This one has light splashing out of it. So one of the aides came in, those smart girls that have been texting/playing with iPhones and iPads and all this and that - she had it working like that. They know a thing like this. It's like Apple time to them. I was so impressed.

I've had them for several years now. I know it was right about 9/11 when I got it. I have never had anything wrong with it. It has never broken down, knock on wood quick. And I have had a lot of health issues in my lifetime and the most recent one is I had a hip replacement. I was gone from home for 40 days and I was in a hospital bed. I could not get comfortable in that. But when I got home last Friday, I'll tell you, there was nothing like getting into my bed where I could get my feet just perfect, my head just perfect. I can't say enough about it and I have told numerous people. They've even come over to try my bed out and have purchased them too over the years. Like I said, I can't say enough about it.
In fact, I went to the doctor on Monday and the doctor said that I had a fracture on my hip. But I have absolutely no pain and so when they took the x-ray yesterday, they said, 'Oh it's a fracture there. There's no doubt about it.' And what should have taken an hour and a half took three and a half hours - that's how bad my hip was. He said, 'I can't believe, Carol, you do not have any pain.' I said, 'Well, I don't doctor.' He said, 'Well, for three weeks.' He's supposed to be number one orthopedic doctor in Michigan according to Cleveland Clinic. So I felt that I really have the best doctor. There's no question.
I told him about it yesterday and he just looks so sheepish. He goes, 'You got to be kidding.' I said, 'No. Look what you have done for me, doctor.' And he said it ruined my left knee all around because it's a left hip and he said, 'This is unbelievable because I don't have any other patient that has had this.' I said, 'Well, that's nothing because ever since I was 3 months old and had radiation treatment, my body is not like any normal person.' So I said, 'I'm doing great and I have a fantastic bed I sleep in.' He wanted to know about my bed.
In fact, a little while ago he told me I can't do any walking anymore, I can't do any physical therapy, which I was doing fabulous. He said, 'We can't take a chance on that. We got to make sure it heals; otherwise, we got to go in there again.' It was so cute he said, 'Well, you make sure you rest in that bed of yours. And remember, you can't be over 90 degrees.' I said, 'I know. I did that in the hospital. I understand.' He said, 'That's only for one more week and then I don't care. You can reach down if the hip is doing well.' And I said it will. But I got a big kick out of that and I thought, well, that's where I feel like going in a few minutes because I've been sitting up and I'm doing a little few things around the house. He I'm sure would be okay. Then when I feel alright, so why not. So that's my tale about my bed.
The people at Craftmatic showed me how to use the bed. I just wish I had a more modern one where my remote control, I would like to have a cordless one, minus the cord. But if that's the only drawback, I don't care because I've been using it all these years. My Craftmatic is a lifesaver and that's the truth - absolutely - because I was in such misery before that because my hips were going bad and my knees, and I have a bad shoulder. It really was because I just could hardly function because I wouldn't sleep well. And if you don't sleep well, you know what that's like; you just can't function well each day and that's how I feel - and Godsend. That's exactly how I would put it. Lifesaving. Godsend.

You don't have to get used to the mattress. For some reason, they're just comfortable. My husband has a lot of back problems lately. This makes us decide to get it because it's adjustable, and it has helped. The new one, we had it in December. But we had one - we slept on it for 23 years. So they really last too. I am getting the best sleep I can with Craftmatic. The people who come and deliver the bed put it together and everything. It seems they know what they were doing and everything.

You have to try to put boards and blocks or whatever upon your bed. And my feet sometimes and my legs bother me. So I can put the feet up. It has the massage. I think it's great. The sales people were great. They were always helpful every time I needed to call for anything. And the delivery guys were great too. With the old ones, we had wires; it was hooked to the bed. The controls were hooked to the bed. With these, they don't have any wires and you're a lot quieter. Now, when you put it up or down, you hardly hear it. There's something different and it's great.

But they called me back and they explained to me that they had many and to get one. Anyway, I got the bed and I liked it and my daughter liked it.
One of the reasons I got it is because of my back. And now with that bed, you can put the back up or down or the foot up or down. This is my second one - so undoubtedly, I like it. I appreciate them being so nice by coming out, putting it together, showing me how it worked.

So far we're happy. They were very informative. We probably own the oldest Craftmatic that ever was anyway. We literally have one that's probably as old as the company. We bought one in Florida like literally 38 and finally out of it, and I said it might be a good idea to get a new mattress (LOL) after all these years anyway. Fortunately, we have good backs, so it didn't matter. But then we were in a friend's house, and they had just got a brand new one, and I said wow. I mean ours still have wires attached to the thing that you press the button on and all. And they had remote, and it was quiet, and the mattress was nice. So that's why we decided to do it.
I would definitely recommend it. We have really loved it for years. There really wasn't anything completely wrong with it except that the mattresses were just worn out. So of course we started looking into the cost of mattresses. That's when my husband said, 'Well, we're gonna spend that much in a mattress, so might as well spend some more.' And we have a guesthouse, so we're just transferring the old Craftmatic into the guesthouse.
The thing that we like about it the most, he did have a knee replacement at one point and it was nice to be able to elevate the foot. But the most part, I don't have any aches or pains or anything, but I do like to sit up and read at night and that's great because I can do it and he can go to sleep. We haven't got the new one. They said, 'You're gonna have one side of the mattress firm and the other is soft.' So that gives you an option and that's nice. And we were able to use it with one big sheet. We don't put two different sheets on it.
Everybody my husband talked to was very nice and pleasant and it was a good experience. They were so engaging that we said, 'Look, the one we have, we want to move over into our guesthouse' because they said they'll take the old one away. And we said we really want to move it over, and they said they'll do that. When our kids were growing up, they would bring their youth group, and then they all lie on the bed and make it go up and down. We also had a feather comforter on it, so it was really a heavenly bed. There was no question. So I would imagine the new one would just be pretty much an improvement on that and that can't get much better.
My son and daughter-in-law have a bed they spent six grand on, and it's like a big, flat board. It is the hardest. But it doesn't have any bells and whistles. It's just like a rock bed. Maybe if you've slept on it long enough, you'd have a good back and you could go to some prison in Siberia and make it. For six grand, if I'm gonna die in a bed, I want it to be comfortable. I'm all into goose town and cotton, and I like everything to be very soft, and they like it to be rubber and hard. I was there at that day and I said, 'You spent what on this?' And they said, 'Yeah, even we admit that it's a mistake.' They're in their thirties. So I don't know what the deal is. Maybe one of those things were you roll over and leave an impression (it supposedly held your shape or something). We're not very big people; neither one of us is over 5'7'', so we don't leave much of an impression.
And then there's another one that has supposedly a memory. We had that in a hotel once, but I didn't like it (you know the ones, they tell you to dial a number and tell it's the right way for you or something, and then either it gets softer or it gets harder). If you've got that, it has got to be managed by some kind of spring system. So I would think that wouldn't last very long. But with your company, we've had not one wit of trouble with that thing in literally almost 40 years, so what could go wrong with this batch?

This is my third Craftmatic. I had two in Colorado Springs. I moved to Germany and then I came back over here and I missed my bed. So that's why I ordered it again. And I love it. I always tell people what kind of bed I got and who I got it from and that I'm very satisfied with it and that I love it. They are excellent. I got back pain, and that helps me a lot; and neck pain, it helps me a lot. They are very comfortable and then you can move the head and the feet up if you want to. And they put them up for you, so I didn't have any work to do on that one and they're easy to move from one side to another. That's what I have to do. But I'm very satisfied with that. I'm happy.
I had one Craftmatic bed for thirty years. I have them for a long time. And I had to leave it behind because I moved to Germany. And I was very, very upset about that. So when I moved over here, that's the first thing I did - I got in contact with Craftmatic to send me another one. They taught me how to use it. It was very easy. The people were very nice. I had to cancel it for a few minutes because I had to go in the hospital. And then when I came back and I called the people again, they were right there for me.

The person I talked to was very nice; she was very helpful. On December 21st they delivered it. However, I was under the understanding that heat would be with the bed, and when it came, it was not and it does not have unlimited adjustments like the one I had used many years ago. It seems that the adjustments are kinda limited in the model they sent me. I didn't make them come in and show me how to use the remote. Consequently, I've got two beds and they're in two separate rooms, and if you operated one, it did the same thing to the other one. I just looked at the book and figured out how to do it, and I adjusted/set both of them up, and they both worked fine after that.
The Craftmatic bed has helped with my acid reflux. The one my husband uses the most is the massage. And the one I use the most I guess is just the raising up the head to different levels and things like that. I'll definitely recommend Craftmatic to a friend or family - they'll like it. But my husband's very upset because they damaged our front door. They scraped it up. But as far as the bed, I would say it's a good company to work with.

I guess the main thing was my wife had trouble reaching, figuring out through the maze and stuff, where the home office was, how to get there (once she got there, things were okay), who to telephone at work and where. Once we got in contact with the home office, things went pretty smooth. I want to give you the guy's name (who we dealt with) because he was very good - Wade **. He really knew his stuff in detail, to make / customize what we wanted in the bed as far as heights and what adjustments. He's very knowledgeable about the product he had some there while we got good service. There were other departments to get the show on the road. They got to ship there.
The consideration since we welcome this was to positionally deal with Gastroesophageal Reflux. We got the bed prior to December. The reversible mattresses, the firmer and slightly softer, are excellent. They're very comfortable. Mostly I like floating the head and the feet a little bit. My wife has tried the vibration mode and she liked the way of the action. I tried the vibration mode (I guess it was last night) for a little bit. Using the bed is pretty self-explanatory with the brochures that come on it. They did show us how the controller works. They worked the bed with controller, pressing. My sleep has definitely improved, especially for my wife. I was glad that the company was willing to get the old bed and mattress out of here and chop it off.
I received the check of the delivery. We weren't too happy with that. But then when they left the manifesto that you send out, that was part of the agreement (why they did what they were supposed to do). Their problem was they really arrived with the smallest truck. It had several deliveries on there. They really had to work to cram the old stuff in there. In fact, they had to off load the new stuff before they could get the old stuff in. That's kinda messy in the rain getting the stuff in here, especially with the shared driveway. I had to direct the traffic to make sure they don't temporarily park the stuff while the next-door neighbor was trying to go to work. It was an eventful day, but once we got the stuff in the door and the traffic managed. It was a good thing I directed the job and was prepared to do it, because it went a lot smoother then. And we were ready. We only then realized no hassle - there was no problem getting the stuff in and set up efficient and quickly. It was very good.

Basically, what I had contacted them because I had seen their advertising that I had owned a Craftmatic bed probably for about 15 years, and what I wanted to do is replace the top mattress. And I had gotten back in touch with them concerning that. After talking to them, they made me such a good deal. I just replaced the whole thing. It actually was cheaper than what I first purchased the bed for, plus I've only had it for about a little over a week, but my sleep is so much better. I'm much more comfortable than I was previously because what I had done is I had replaced the top mattress with another mattress. Well, the bed was still working fine as far as adjusting, lifting up, and everything. I just wasn't really comfortable in that mattress. So I thought, well, I probably would have been better off all along either to have replaced the whole mattress earlier or to have contacted them first. Anyway, so right now, I'm pretty satisfied. The only thing (and I haven't called them about this to see) is it seems a little bit louder when the massage is on than my other bed did. And like I said, I haven't talked to them. And I haven't used the massage. That might be it. But anyway, I do have a wood floor. So there's nothing under there cushioning that noise.
I like the new wireless control. That's very nice. So I'm real pleased with it. It's nice. And I like a firm bed, so I'm very pleased. In fact, this mattress is firm in one side and a little less firm on the other side. So if I decide that I want to change that, then I could just flip it over, which is really nice, but for right now. I think that basically they said, 'So what about changing and moving the mattress around things?' And they tell me that if I see/just think about it, when the time changes, then you can just rotate it around. I said, 'Oh, that's a good idea [to think about that].' I said, 'Oh, okay. That makes a lot of good sense.' But I'm certainly glad that I went ahead and did this.
It started off years ago. My mother had contacted them. She wanted me to listen to what they had to say because I do have problems and stuff - and I generally sleep with my head elevated anyway - and also acid reflux. Anyway, this way the bed can automatically be lifted. If it's worse, I can lift it higher. If I don't have the need to have it lifted so much, that's fine. Also, I like to read in bed. So that's good. I can prop it up. And then occasionally, well, I do have arthritis in my knees. And sometimes my legs bother me. So, I want being able to elevate those as well, too. Anyway, when they started talking about this stuff, I thought maybe I might want those beds too. And like I said, that was probably about 15 years ago that she and I both purchased one. I've been very pleased with it (the first one I had). Well, I would not have invested in a second one if I didn't like the first one.
I was very pleased with the people that I talked with. They're very knowledgeable. And when I first contacted them, well, in fact, they contacted me right back because I did that over the internet. I had seen this and I thought if I go on and just see what the prices their beds were in, the mattresses, and stuff. And I put in there that I was interested in talking to someone. I probably heard back within an hour (it might have been sooner than that). So then I talked with them. In fact, her name was Patricia also. I told what I was interested in is like a top mattress. So she talked to me about that. Then she said, 'Well, because you had another mattress...' And like I said, they just made me a really good deal on it. So I just decided to go ahead and replace the whole thing, and I'm pleased with it. I would recommend them.
It was quick and easy. Well, it was informative. I ordered it. It was delivered. Everything went smoothly. It didn't take long and all. It's about a week to 10 days. When they had it, we set up my delivery and they were here. The people who delivered were on time. They came in and also they took away my other bed too. I would have donated it, but at this point in time, people are not really taking bed, and I don't think too much, because of bed bugs and stuff like that (I didn't have any of them). So I said, 'Well, if you'll just take it away.' So that was all included in the delivery and everything. It was good. It was a very pleasant experience. No hassle.

I went to the internet and got the phone number for Craftmatic itself. I found that there were, apparently, a lot of outfits that offer knockoff mattress combination. We need a new mattress. I'm looking for mattress and find out that Wal-Mart carries its own, but they're about a tenth of the price of the original equipment. And I thought that, in talking to the guy in Craftmatic, I got to believe that those knockoffs that you find in Wal-Mart, I said I just wish they're a little less than perfect. This is the second one we've had. This is a replacement for the original, which is about 18 years old - I guess something like that.
The ordering process was very simple. I got a salesman on the phone, and he knew his products. Buying it, it's either knockoffs (these knockoffs there), but I got a whole brand new bed. I said I had to get a mattress now - I have a whole brand new bed. I got Craftmatic as there are more modern controllers to it. Bed controllers are now wireless like a TV set (the old ones have cords). So we're much safer and they're nice. Overall, newer products, and to get little better, what we wound up was, we put the two old beds upstairs in my guest room (if you want to call it). Normally, my grandkids, they sleep on them and have a good time.
Both of us here are ancients in our years. I'm 83 and my wife is a little bit less than that. She had a bad shoulder and I'm on a walker or a wheelchair, slow a bit. I can wave my legs. I could tip the back up so I can watch when I go to bed or any other time. I'm not bedridden, but it's an improvement, better product. It's not cheap, so I'm shocked with the price. Some people would say, 'My god, you paid that much for a bed?'And we had a little glitch in the delivery process here (but I'm always impressed). We were scheduled for this morning between 8 and 12. 12 o'clock and we got nobody here yet, so I called the dispatcher and she said, 'They forget to put it in the truck this morning. So it would be Monday, before they get it to you.' Well, I said, 'You know I get my bed off a part of the floor, what do I do now?' And she was very sympathetic, but they can't do much about it. Well, okay. She called back and was a very rude person.
On my part, I just called Craftmatic (with someone I talked to. I called him also, or I sent him email just to let him know I was having a problem). Just a little while after lunch, I got a phone call from her saying that the delivery had been scheduled for this afternoon between 3 and 7, which I thought was pretty good. And the salesman from Craftmatic itself called me, and she knows your problem. And I say it's being resolved now. The customer service I thought was excellent. That was my experience with this whole job here. I think it's really good. I would recommend Craftmatic to anybody interested in an adjustable bed. I'm impressed.
I am getting the best sleep possible with this bed. And if I wake up in the night, I could adjust it up or down. I'm a big Craftmatic fan. They are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. It was excellent. The product is good. The service is good. Delivery... I mean they bend over backwards I'm sure. They're 80 miles away from here where the guy had to pick it up at lunchtime. I'm just very impressed.
