Polypropylene chemical wreaking mattress. Paid $1900 and had it in my apartment for about an hour. While putting the mattress protector on the bottom of it ripped. The smell continued to linger and I could feel the moist foam poking out of the bottom. Very cheap and I wouldn’t pay even $200 for something made of cheap springs and furniture foam. I wish I could say what it felt like to sleep on but I never got a chance to experience that as it fell apart before I could set it up. Definitely not organic and all natural like they say as the chemical smell gave me a headache. The spring cut my hand when I was moving and I’ve moved close to 10 mattresses in my life whether it’s for moving or disposal and this couldn’t have been worse.

This is an update on a past review I had written for this company. At the time, the delivery was markedly delayed. It turned out to be a delay on the part of FedEx, after all, and was not the mattress company. The mattress company, however, took some responsibility and actually refunded $50 of the cost of the mattress. I found this to be a lot of effort on the part of Bear Mattress to ensure that my purchase met expectations. The mattress is excellent, and now I'm quite satisfied with their customer service.

My wife and I chose Bear Mattress over other brands mainly because of the made in America claim. The process of ordering was fine and when we finally got the mattress, two pillows, sheets and the mattress cover (which was fairly quickly), we were very disappointed to see that the "accessories" were not only 100% polyester but made in China!

We have a 5 year old Bear mattress and loved it. Ordered another one and received an abomination! False advertising. The original bear mattress that is nowhere near the same. Quality of material is cheap and mattress is rock hard, not original Mattress. Complete downgraded rip off.

I've owned a Bear mattress for about 4 years now. Since then, the quality of the mattress has declined significantly in all facets. This includes the cover falling apart where the threading has loosened and holes form (on the sides and bottom) even with minimal adjusting/movement, mattress sags in the middle/sides and doesn't return back to its original shape, etc.

After we purchased a mattress, we found out the hard way, that the only ways to exchange a mattress is to purchase a new one and get reimbursed or to let them pick up the old mattress and wait for a refund, then order all over again, meaning upwards of 3 weeks without a bed.

My husband and I are very different sizes, so decided to try a "split king" mattress which is actually two twin XL. He loved his, and mine was a bit too firm for me. I tried it out for 90 days, and it just didnt work. I do love the Celliant fibers though. You think this is a gimmick, but it truly does make my muscles feel all tingly and I swear helps recovery after a workout. The return process was a dream and the person (yep - a real person answered my call) I dealt with was lovely and easy.

So I bought this thinking I would get a better mattress since I was paying so much more for it. I slept ok for the first few weeks. After about 99 nights it became evident that my back pain was increasing. I had 100 nights warranty. Since then I sleep on my couch because it's just way more comfy. I will buy an Ashley hybrid next time for half what I paid... $1000 is what Bear mattress stole from me.

Softness is the main thing when looking for a mattress, if I get this from a mattress I will surely buy it because I've had sleeping disorders over the past years and it is because I was laying in a mattress made of stone I guess. The Bear mattress has given me the comfort I need while sleeping and I haven't experienced any sleeping disorder in the past and it has been the brand I've been using for a long time. But I would improve the material that's been used along the years to make a mattress. Nevertheless it is not an urgent matter to me but it is surely something I wish mattresses companies improve.

At the time when my girlfriend and I tried it out, it seemed very comfortable. Also it was on sale and fit my needs and my girlfriend at the time liked it. It's very form fitting and quite soft and comfortable. But it took a while to get used to it because it was a bit too soft for my liking. Also, it's getting a bit old and we could use a new one. But it has always been able to help me and my lover get a good night's sleep.
