We had a wonderful experience at Ashley furniture in Concord, CA; Janelle was our sales consultant and she really helped us put together a very beautiful formal dining room set; she guided us; gave us lots of options; then let us shop on our own; it was such a great experience, we spent three hours and found the perfect dining room set, as well as a beautiful painting that went perfectly with everything. We were also very impressed with the high quality of everything in the store and very reasonable prices; we will definitely be back again and would recommend Ashely Furniture to everyone.

Yesterday while visiting family, their furniture was delivered. The 3 men unloaded, set-up, and cleaned up. They never stopped working! They were conscientious and proficient. I was so impressed that I asked their names. Wilber **, Milton **, and Oscar ** did a phenomenal job so I thought I would write this public review so their supervisor could learn how pleased our family was with their efforts! I hope they could receive some recognition from the company because they worked so hard. There were about 10 pieces of very heavy furniture, which they unboxed and set up with precision and speed. Very impressive work ethic!

We purchased a sofa sleeper and scheduled the delivery. The day before the delivery we realized it would be challenging to get this furniture into the room: it appeared too big for the door opening. Dannie U. was absolutely amazing in helping us with finding the solution and arranging for the appropriate communication with her delivery team! We are so grateful! The crew came prepared and the sofa fit perfectly! Thank you Dannie!!!!

We were looking for living room furniture. Went to Ashley, Rooms to Go, Nebraska Furniture Mart. Found what we liked at Ashley. Daniel met us when we came in. Left us alone to shop. We decided on a set and bought it. Daniel really made us a good deal. Furniture was delivered and didn't fit the space. Went back, they bent over backwards to make it right. Daniel went above and beyond. If you go there, ask for him.

We bought a couch and loveseat four years ago from Ashley's and the lady that sold us the pair recommend buying the extended warranty for an additional $500 to protect our purchase. She said if we had any problems with our purchase it would be covered so against our better judgment we paid it and now 4 years later the couch is falling apart and is not comfortable to sit on anymore and when we get family and friends over. They won't even sit on it when they come over, it's that bad.
We went to Ashley's and talked to them about it and they said it would be covered so she gave us the number to call. We got home and called the number and after being on the phone with them for over an hour explaining the problems they denied our claim. So now we have a couch that is no good and paid for an extended warranty that they do not honor. Will not do business with Ashley's again. I like how some of the reviews the manager or the owners will respond to the positive feedback but you don't see a lot of response to the negative remarks. It really tells me that they don't care and I have reached out to the Better Business Bureau and got no response through them as well. Is all I am asking is for them to repair our broken down furniture that's only 4 years old

I called corporate and I was LIED SEVERAL TIMES. I thought ASHLEY would be honest and guide customers right but I was so VERY VERY WRONG. I NEVER SHOP AT ASHLEY'S AGAIN.

I purchased furniture from Ashley Furniture. I was always able to contact my salesman until the furniture was delivered. They charged me for a mattress pad that I was told was free. When delivered, the furniture had issues. I was told that they would take care of me. The furniture was redelivered numerous times and still not satisfactorily. They kept giving me a different customer representative, to which I had to explain over and over again the issues with the furniture, and each person stated that they did not receive pictures that were sent. I went out of town, and informed the representative of this, but a few days later was informed that my claim had been closed. I will never buy any more furniture from Ashley.

I purchased a floor model bedroom set from the Ashley Furniture store in Brick, NJ, on June 5. When I bought it, the furniture was in excellent condition except for two very minor flaws, which the store repaired before delivery. I was completely satisfied with what I purchased. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. Ashley uses a third-party delivery company, and my furniture arrived with more than 20 scratches that were not there when I purchased it. The nightstand also had a deep gouge that had been covered with a black Sharpie marker, which was completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the bed was delivered without the proper center support legs. The delivery crew temporarily propped up the middle of the bed with a piece of cardboard and left it that way. The bed has been unusable ever since. I have sent photos and videos at least five times to the Brick store and Ashley’s customer service. Despite all of the documentation, nothing has been resolved. They eventually sent replacement legs, but they were the wrong parts and did not fit the bed, leaving it unusable.
As of August 1, nearly two months after delivery, my son has been sleeping on a mattress on the floor or on the couch because the bed still cannot be used. The most disappointing part of this experience has been the complete lack of accountability and customer service. I understand that a third-party delivery company caused the damage, but Ashley Furniture is responsible for making things right for its customers. Instead, I’ve spent weeks making phone calls, sending emails, texting, and providing the same photos and videos over and over without any meaningful resolution. I expected far better service from a company of this size. I cannot recommend purchasing from this location based on my experience.

Worst shopping experience I’ve ever had anywhere. Deserves 0 stars. Cream-coloured dining chairs delivered dirty and stained! After calling customer service several times, Ashley continues to refuse to exchange for the exact same product and I couldn’t speak to a manager because they wouldn’t come to the phone. I ordered a dining set with 6 cream-coloured chairs. Upon delivery, 4 out of the 6 chairs arrived with MULTIPLE DIRT AND STAINS on the seats and backs and fronts of the chairs- these are not just a few fingerprints from the delivery. I immediately photographed and made a video of each chair and pointed this out to delivery people. They told me a technician will come to clean it. I called customer service and I told them that I paid for NEW chairs. NEW products arrive in new condition however these have arrived in used condition, but are being passed off as new.
I asked for the chairs to be exchanged and they said no. They said that the technician will come to restore/clean them or they will replace the parts of the chair. (They weren't competent enough to deliver clean chairs and now I am to trust them to reliably disassemble and reassemble chairs? How would I know if the fabric would be the same texture or the colour/shade of other chairs? Also if the chairs are cleaned and scrubbed, they are no longer new. It will impact the texture of the fabric. I could've bought dirty chairs for a fraction of the price from anywhere.) While on the phone with customer service, I asked to speak to a manager and the manager would not come to the phone. I will update this post to let you know how the matter is resolved. I have photos and videos of every chair that were taken while the delivery people were there and immediately after they left.

If I could give a zero for online purchase. We ordered two chairs and got an order confirmation. So we got rid of old chairs, then the next day got a cancellation of the order. We call CS and they can’t explain why we got confirmation and then cancelled. Told us to go to store to order. We went to store to order as that is what online said to do. Wasted a trip to the store as they said chairs are only available to order on line. So we placed a second on line order and got a confirmation for the order. I then called CS to be proactive. They said that it takes 24 hours for them to get the order for CS to look at it. I said ok but this is my second order confirmation and you can’t inform me why previous was cancelled and I want to be sure we won’t get another cancellation. So immediately after the call we get another cancellation for the order that I just called CS regarding. So once again, I call CS (long hold times and lots of time spent).
CS once again same story…. Can’t say why order was cancelled because they can’t get that information- go to the store to order. I explained that I called right after order confirmation to be sure it wouldn’t cancel. I also informed them I went to store to order and you can’t order online only items in the store. After three attempts we gave up! Didn’t make any sense at all! We couldn’t get CS to correct or explain why cancelled! We couldn’t get CS to place the order for us. Online orders were all confirmed and then cancelled. Nobody would tell us why cancelled? Wouldn’t tell us if item was out of stock and I don’t believe it was because multiple orders were confirmed. It wasn’t a credit card problem as we called the credit card company. The worse CS and system I have ever experienced. We do a lot of online purchases. Extremely frustrating- never again- no matter how good price offered

And again, and again, and again. I have lost count how many times they were here to exchange the TV stand. Not only that. How many times have they cancelled my appt. It is now end of July and this is still ongoing. I have not yet set up my TV because of this. The salesman said they price match, but when he went to get approval from the store manager, the manager said they would not match because it was not a big box store that were offering the lower price, and Ashley only matches price from big box stores. This decision by a manager, who wouldn't even meet us, lost almost $6000 in sales. Ashley is falsely advertising when they say they price match. Goodbye, Mr. Manager, you made a poor decision.

I purchased a bedroom set on June 6, 2026. It was delivered on July 7, 2026. A couple days later, I was putting clothes away, and 1 of the drawers were jammed and I could not open it. When I called to see if someone can come and fix it, I was told I needed to email pictures and a video. I told 6 people that I did not know how to do this and I have no one to help me. After 2 hours on the phone, I got no satisfaction. I had to have a friend look at it, and they were able to fix it. As far as Ashley was concerned, without the pictures and video, I had to deal with a brand new piece of broken furniture. Shame on Ashley, and I will never buy anything there again, and I will let other people know not to shop there.

Ordered a sofa and TV Table. On the delivery date, nothing was delivered. All phone calls land in some foreign destination with contractors who have scripts. They repeat my name a lot but never deviate from their script. For example, I ask: Where is my order? They say: "Hello Mr. **. I understand you are calling to inquire about the status of your order as a result of your having a concern about its arrival." Yes, "Where is my order?" I will investigate your order Mr. ** and will blah blah blah.
Literally 30 minutes later, I have no data. No answer. More scripted speeches. Not a soul who can speak with me or tell me where the order is. IT never arrived. So I called a competitor, and they delivered a comparable sofa in 3 days. IT took weeks, but I finally got a credit from Ashley. But no email. No cancellation confirmation. No apology. ZIP. IT may be the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of attempting to buy from. Ashley Furniture is a horrible, bad service, low-end company. Don't buy from them.

Horrible!! I ordered a nightstand and bed from Ashley and it’s been a total delivery nightmare and super unprofessional experience. First time they delivered my bed they were missing the drawers and handles that come with the bed. Additionally they left a huge grease stain on headboard, I’m guessing it from the delivery driver’s head. So, I called customer service being very understanding about the matter because mistakes do happen. They told me I had to wait another two weeks to get the parts only for them to forget the handles and one drawer doesn’t work properly.. Not only that the delivery person said to my face that the first people didn’t install my bed properly so they reinstalled and “fixed the issue” only for the bed to still feel slightly wobbly. Also to make matters worse the delivery people left black marks on my white wall.
After making several calls to corporate they were making several excuses and were very unwilling to compensate me correctly on this issue. I wanted compensation at this point because I had to take off work three times for this issue only for my bed to still not be together and at this point I don’t want any more of their unprofessional acting and looking drivers in my home anymore because it looked like they’re still confused on what parts I needed. Supervisor told me only 100 dollars off my 1700 dollar order and leave as-is. Which is bull*** because I have missing handles, a drawer, marked up walls and had to take off multiple days for this matter. Before this experience I planned on furnishing my new main house with 90 percent of Ashley Furniture, now I don’t want anything that came from Ashley in it. Nice looking furniture but Absolutely terrible business!!!!

Update to my original review: Unfortunately, the customer service experience has continued to deteriorate. After I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Ashley Furniture’s official response stated that they would issue my refund and that I should work directly with the Richmond store’s General Manager, Eddie **. I immediately emailed Eddie. He replied that I should receive the refund within 2–7 days and that he would verify whether any additional information was needed. After that, he never followed up and ignored two additional emails requesting an update. When I was finally able to speak with Eddie by phone, his explanation changed. He said the corporate office was still reviewing the matter and that the store could not issue the refund.
Then, on July 18, Regional Manager Gerard ** called me and told me the matter was “out of the store’s hands” and had to be handled by the corporate accounting department. I pointed out that Ashley Furniture’s own BBB response specifically directed me to work with the store manager, and I provided him with a copy of that response. At this point, I have received conflicting information from the store, regional management, and corporate. Each level of the organization points to someone else, while no one takes ownership or follows through on the commitments that have been made. This is no longer just about the refund. It’s about accountability, communication, and honoring commitments to customers. Based on my experience, Ashley Furniture has repeatedly promised resolution but failed to deliver. I hope no other customer has to spend this much time simply trying to obtain a refund that Ashley itself agreed to provide.

Extremely Disappointed – Terrible Customer Service & Warranty Experience. I am beyond frustrated with Ashley Furniture's customer service and warranty process. I called simply to find out how much warranty credit I had remaining on my furniture, and the experience was unacceptable from start to finish. First, I was hung up on twice. Then I was placed on hold for over an hour, only to be told that my warranty service had already been used. When I asked for details about what repairs or services were supposedly completed, they couldn't provide any notes or documentation. They had no record of what was actually done.
I repeatedly explained that the only warranty claim that had ever been used was for the king mattress, not my furniture. Instead of listening or investigating further, they dismissed my concerns and kept insisting the warranty had been used. No one seemed interested in finding the truth or helping resolve the issue. This experience has completely destroyed my trust in Ashley Furniture.
Their furniture may look nice, but their customer service and warranty support are incredibly disappointing. If you purchase from Ashley, keep every document, every receipt, and get everything in writing because if there's ever a dispute, you may find yourself in the same situation I did. After the way I was treated, I will never purchase from Ashley Furniture again, and I cannot recommend them to anyone. Customers deserve honesty, accountability, and respectful service—not being hung up on, left on hold for over an hour, and given answers that can't even be supported with documentation.

Purchased a chair last year had major problems. Eventually ended up with a chair that I did not order a previous year's model. Because after five attempts with customer service, it got old and tiresome. The store itself does not follow through and help the consumer. I reached out yesterday regarding a new purchase. And once again, furniture came damaged that I do not blame the store for that, I blame delivery. People who don't inspect furniture before putting it on the truck.
They're telling me up 2 2 weeks for a replacement piece that I've already waited five weeks for. I told them I am disabled and waiting two days since yesterday. For somebody at the local store to interact with me, they don't seem to care, but that's okay, I purchased it on my Ashley credit card. And if it's not resolved within a fair amount of time I'm going to dispute the charges, calling the better business bureau, for these people is a waste of time because companies like this do go out of business.
I will never order from them again. Which is exactly what I told them at the store? And I want this resolved, if not, I will dispute the charges. Because I took pictures day one. It's damaged. They suck... Buyer beware of this company. Not to mention communication due to language barriers is a major issue. With this company. Also, they should have a t t y line for disabled people such as myself, who suffer from severe hearing impairments, and their phone systems are not equipped to handle it. If you have hearing impairments and don't like long haul times dealing with customer service people. I would try another place.

Terrible experience with Ashley Furniture in Gaithersburg, Md. I saw a sectional that I liked on sale online, called the store and spoke to a salesman and told him I would be in to look at it and got information that it would be the same cost as advertised online. When I went to the store a few days later, the salesman showed me the sectional. I was not that happy with the two colors offered and when he pulled up the total cost with shipping and delivery which is an extra $475 or so. I was not so interested and I told him I would think about it and left. He called my cell phone a couple of days later and said they were having a “VIP event” with free shipping and delivery. I went back to the store. And met with him, tried out the sofa again, he then pulled up the total pricing and it was THE SAME PRICING AS WHEN I WENT TO THE STORE BEFORE THEY PROMISED FREE SHIPPING AND TAXES!
When I said this to him, he asked a guy behind the counter to give the price with 20% off. After I waited a while, the salesman pulls up another screen not 20% off but 10% off, but he went back to the original price from before it was on sale and the price was even higher! I walked out of the store and will never buy furniture from here! I am surprised they get away with this shady behavior. They cared nothing about listening to me and totally wasted my time driving back-and-forth. They then tried to call my cell offering $100 and $200 off. I did not speak to them again. Now that I’ve read the reviews, I see I never should have gone in the first place.

After 3 years I already had to dispose of it as it looked really bad. But what makes everything worse is that I posted my review about this on their website and they never punished it, so I tried posting another one and they told me that they already had my review... So basically they're manipulating their website reviews and are very upfront about it.

I strongly recommend avoiding Ashley Furniture, no matter how attractive the price may seem. We purchased two Bradney swivel accent chairs that took more than a month to arrive. I took off work for a Tuesday morning delivery, but Ashley changed the delivery window three times and then never showed up. We heard nothing for two days. When the chairs were finally delivered, that window was changed twice as well, and they arrived in a rental truck because we were told the Ashley truck had broken down. The chairs were left sitting in our driveway, out of their boxes and wrapped only in torn plastic. When we unwrapped them about a week later, we found poor craftsmanship, missed stitching, loose threads, and a puncture hole.
Customer service was even worse. Ashley repeatedly placed the burden of solving the problem back on us. One representative requested photos and promised to find a solution. Instead, we received an email two days later saying parts had been ordered and that we should call to schedule a repair. This was never discussed with us or approved. Are they really planning to reupholster two brand-new chairs instead of replacing the damaged furniture they delivered?
Ashley also claims damage must be reported within three days, despite its own failed delivery and the condition in which the chairs arrived. I am now disputing the purchase through my bank. We are stuck with two damaged chairs and no acceptable resolution. The delivery was unreliable, the quality was unacceptable, and the customer service was atrocious. Pay more and shop somewhere else.

My name is Rick **. I purchased a $7,000 sectional sofa from Ashley Furniture approx. 4 months ago. April, 2026. Because of a past purchase with another company I was very cautious. We were told by the sales person that the fabric was leather everyplace our body touched. He lied to us. Eventually all the fabric had peeled off. A horrible experience. We decided to try Ashley which just opened near our home. I made it clear to the sales person about our last experience and I did not want that to happen again. We looked at several sectionals that looked nice but was not leather and I knew they would peel. Finally we looked at the most expensive sectional in the store and was assured it was leather and would not peel. $7,000. It was beautiful. We purchased it and in two weeks it had been delivered. My wife was happy and we showed our friends. Very pleased.
Yesterday I noticed some spots on the section where I sit (the back). I got some leather cleaner thinking it must have been dirt or something. I quickly realized that my LEATHER? was peeling. Note: we do not have animals in our house. My wife and are seniors retired. I immediately went to the Ashley store and the salesman greeted me. I took a picture of the sofa. This is the salesman that told me it is leather and it would not peel. He said he would contact his superior a nd they would call me. Today she called me and had already determined what they would do for me. She explained that they would ship a new back for the chair of the sectional where I sit. I told her that is unacceptable. Why? Because if this is peeling then the complete sectional will be peeling. I told her I was lied to. She did not respond to that at all. Very wise on her part.
She asked what more that she could do for. I told her I wanted a full refund or a couch of the same value with absolute guaranteed leather. She said, “I do not have the authority to do that”. She also said that their policy is to only refund within 72 hours of a purchase. I told her that is all unacceptable. She said that she would give this information to her superior and they would contact me. I asked when they would contact me. She did not give me an answer. So, we are waiting. I have photos and proof of purchase to prove what I am writing here. I am well known in Yulee and Fernandina Bch. Fl. I am a Pastor of a local church. I pray this helps someone.

Anyway, we were looking at a tall twin bed, way too tall for him and he said he wanted to see what it was like to sit on it and before I could even say anything, a sales associate tried to pick him up and put him on the bed.
She squeezed his shoulder of the broken arm and grabbed under his armpit on the non-broken arm and couldn't pick him up that way, so then finally put both hands under his armpits to pick him up and placed him on the bed. Meanwhile my son is yelling "stop!" and then I told her to "stop" and she didn't listen. He said it hurt his broken arm and started to cry. At the very least, she should've asked if he wanted her to pick him up. It happened to fast, we were both very startled and shaken up. I'm sure she was trying to be helpful, but this child did not want her to pick him up. Very odd.

He gave me the phone number to customer service and they are declining to come and pick it up because we should have declined the furniture upon the delivery date but we couldn't be there so my mother in law was there. She was looking for damage not color. We spend 2400 dollars on a wrong color sectional we are not happy with. Whatever happened to making sure the customer is happy. Not with this sorry excuse for a furniture company, this is not over.

COMMUNICATION!!! I purchased a recliner and sectional sofa from the Baton Rouge Ashley HomeStore. I took delivery of the recliner the very next week. The delivery guys were very efficient. No problems. The salesperson was very helpful and understanding that the recliner was to be delivered to my personal address and the sectional sofa was to be delivered to a different address on a different date. He made sure to obtain all the information regarding the second address and delivery date for the sofa so there wouldn't be any problems for the delivery guys. This is where the problem starts! I get a text from JENNY!
Obviously, Jen Bot (AI) is stating that my sofa will be delivered to my personal address on a date that I did not choose. Ok, so I correct the date, but the form will not allow me to correct the address (IT issue). So now I call the phone number for the Baton Rouge store to correct the address. WRONG!!!!! I called the Philippines!!!! This is where Ashley HomeStore has their customer service department. Due to the language barrier, I could not understand what the representative was saying. I hang up and tried again!
After several unsuccessful attempts of trying to understand them, I hung up and decided to physically drive 20 miles to the actual store to make sure the sofa was delivered to the proper address. (Which the salesperson had already taken that information, but apparently AI refused to acknowledge or accept it). So, you see Ashley HomeStore, the problem I have with you as a company doesn't start with the sales reps, the actual stores, or the delivery personnel; it starts with your choice of outsourcing your customer service department and your IT department. If I wanted to call the Philippines, I would have. I wanted to speak with someone (actual person) in the Baton Rouge store!!!! Perhaps your CEO or Board of Trustees can come up with a better idea for what you consider to be good customer service.

I purchased close to $4000 worth of product at Ashley furniture in mid May. One of the items was a set of decorative pillows worth about $100 plus tax. I was informed that Ashley doesn’t carry the pillows that are in store as they are for marketing purposes only. That was fine. I ordered them and as of today, June 2, 2026, having ordered the pillows on May 13, 2026, I still haven’t received them. I have made numerous calls to both Ashley customer service and to store management trying to ascertain the disposition of the order. Every time I reach someone, they appear to cower in fear. I don’t know why. Is it because they can’t resolve the issue, which no one will take responsibility for, or because they just don’t know.
As a result of getting these incredulous comments and statements from customer service and store management, I asked them to simply credit my account. Again, after 45 days, I have no resolution. No one will take responsibility or accountability, and no one will even give me an answer as to whether they can resolve this issue. It’s a yes or no question! I am searching for the name of the owner of the store and will attempt to contact that person to gain some resolution. In the meantime, I leave this review for the Ashley store in North Fort Worth, Alliance, for the buyer to be aware.

Would prefer to leave zero stars. Received the white upholstered headboard/platform bed (Melanie) on 6/30. Opened the box, and smelled mold? musty? I started putting it together (took almost 4 hours) and the smell kept getting stronger. The entire headboard smells moldy. I immediately "chatted" with Ashley and was assigned a case # and was told I'd receive an email. 23 hours later, I chatted again as I hadn't heard anything. They said I'd need to wait 3 days. (While this unhealthy product was in my home) I did finally receive an email with instructions on how I should clean the headboard, and make sure I wore an N95 mask. It's white upholstery. The smell is coming from within the headboard.
I've emailed again, chatted on Facebook with Ashley, and still no response. I want a refund at this point and this product removed from my house. I've closed off that room, opened a window, and have a fan blowing. The entire rooms smells of mold, coming from the headboard. Many years ago, I bought many, many pieces from Ashley. Didn't think to check reviews before buying this bed. Boy, have I learned a lesson. SO many negative reviews. There's even an Ashley specific Facebook group to help people with Ashley issues (with over 10,000 members).

I drove 20 miles to the Ashley Furniture in Mt. Vernon, WA with the intention of buy a new recliner for my bedroom as a birthday present for myself. I walked around the store for 15 minutes and only saw 1 employee who was helping a customer. I saw at least 5 customers waiting for help but no one else was in sight. The 1 employee finally acknowledged me by say "I will be with you soon." He was still with his original customer so I knew that there were at least 5 other people in front of me waiting to be helped. After 10 more minutes and the employee still with the same customer I decided that they were too busy to need my business. I have Ashley furniture in my family room and after a month of continuing calling them I finally got the problem with the furniture fixed so I thought that I would give them another try. I am sad to say that I am still looking for a new recliner but like most of the reviews on this site I will not be buying from Ashley Furniture.
