Worst customer service ever. Sold us a bed that with foundation and mattress was too high off floor (33 inches). Called next day and told wanted to return foundation. After many more calls over several days they would not do it. Spent thousands there over several months, but this is how we were treated. Never again!

If I could give this company a zero, I would. I used to shop here, but every piece of furniture I bought would fall apart within a week. To make matters worse, when I reached out to their customer service, I expected some kind of understanding, but instead, I was met with hostile and extremely rude customer service. I will never shop here again and do not recommend anyone purchasing from this company.

My husband and I bought a couch, chair and ottoman in April and not only did the cushions compress rapidly but the wear of the fabric looks like it's over 20 years old. We have tried working with them but they keep passing this issue on to other departments. They now claim that this is normal wear. If they think this is normal then that speaks volumes about their product They finally sent us ONE new cushion but that doesn't resolve the rest of the furniture ex- the other cushions, the ottoman or the arm of the chair and couch. We will have to be requesting repairs every few months. Keep in mind we hardly use this furniture and the look of it is unacceptable. I'm sure they wouldn't want this furniture in their home.

In June, I went to Ashley Furniture with the intent on looking to buy an end table and sofa table to match my remodeled living room and furniture. I found a set that I liked, however I was cautious about purchasing the furniture because I was worried it didn't match. I asked the salesman if I could return it if I didn't like it. When he told me that I could I trusted his word and purchased the furniture. Two months later (August), the furniture was delivered. I told the driver I didn't like the furniture because it ultimately didn't match the furniture. The driver replied that I would have to call the store itself and they don't handle those issues.

I agreed to sign for the furniture and then called the store where I was told that all sales are final, they don't take returns, and I was misinformed by the salesman. I was even told me the policy was on the receipt. It's on me that I should have read the receipt in its entirety, but I also trusted the salesman to be honest and not to say what I want to hear so he can make a commission.

So in 2022 my husband and I made a significant purchase with Ashley. 1 large tv stand, 4 end tables, 2 leather recliners, 4 lamps, etc. In July 2025 the mechanism on my recliner broke no longer releasing the recline position. My warranty showed 1 year on parts and a 5 year limited warranty. I visited the se pdx location on 82nd. Was told Ashley store was now a franchise and I had to deal with corporate. So I sent in my info just to find out they discontinued the chair and was told they can't get parts for it!!! What awful customer service!!!! Funny thing is all the chair needed was a new cable to be installed!!!! My husband ordered the replacement mechanism with cable on Amazon for $10 bucks and it's fixed! I won't be doing business with Ashley in the future. They also asked me if I purchased extended warranty on the chair??? If so would they just of said, "Sorry it's discontinued"?????

Ashley does not disclose its return policy (no returns, refunds, or exchanges) until after the purchase is complete. The policy, located on the customer receipt, states that they do not provide refunds or exchanges. Of course, that's too late. They also do not return phone calls. I have left numerous detailed messages but have not received a return call from the store.

I ordered a couch from their online store, the couch came in two orientations that you chose from left or right. The diagram was wrong and they sent me the wrong orientation…. That’s just the beginning. I called and waited for over an hour on hold. Finally got ahold of someone and I explained to the person who hardly knew English that I needed to replace the couch for the correct orientation. They set up a pickup and delivery, they came and picked them up but didn’t drop off the correct couch. So I called, was again on hold for an hour. Finally got a hold of someone and after about 20 min she said she would call back… Nothing. The next day I get an email from PayPal saying that Ashlee sent a refund but it was 700 dollars short of what I paid them…. I will NEVER EVER EVER use them again.. And I will get my money back!!!

If you make a purchase at Ashley and give them you phone number and email, BE PREPARED. You will receive a barrage of emails and texts and calls as they promote the store and sales and finally try to schedule delivery. Don't believe anything the sales person says about availability and delivery. The AI (Artificial Ignorance) computer system will arrange that. The computer scheduling starts by offering deliver DAYS by text. No time range offered. The computer is very persistent at emails, texts, and phone calls to get a day selected. The caller calls from a call center in the Philippines. They talk fast with heavy accent so it is hard to understand them. They say "Dis is Maria with Ashley....' so fast you have to ask them to repeat. No Ashley Furniture, just Ashley said very fast. The phone connections garble the voices making understanding the fast and heavy accents even harder.

If you try to call Ashley Furniture, even the local store number, the call director recognizes your phone number and addresses you by name and puts you into the robot call director system with no escape. If you try to speak to a real person, you get the Philippines Call Center. The only way to get through to the local store is to use a different phone that the number they have on file.

I was so frustrated with the delivery scheduling system, I tried to arrange to pick my love seat up at the distribution center. Multiple attempts to change it from curb delivery to customer pick-up were made over 4 days but never completed. Customer pick-up is not available at the store. It was miles away in an industrial area. A store pick-up option would have been helpful. Every other furniture store I've dealt with offered store pick-up. The day before, the computer will email, text, and call to say the delivery time.

My delivery time was stated as between 8 and 11 am. If those times were not acceptable, delivery would be rescheduled. The texts started coming at 7:30 am saying the delivery would arrive at 7:43 am. They did arrive at 7:43 and were gone by 7:52. My love seat arrived in good condition which is surprising. The truck was loaded to the ceiling. As they opened the roll-up door, furniture was falling out. The delivery driver was great. The telephone, text, and emails are unrelenting. There is no access to an American English speaking customer service agent on a clear phone line.

Title: Worst Furniture Experience – Stay Far Away from Ashley Fairfield. I normally don’t write reviews, but this one needs to be said. I purchased a complete living room set and additional items from Ashley Furniture in Fairfield, spending over $3,000. It’s been just 4 and a half months, and the furniture is already falling apart. The fabric is curling up like a bowl, and the quality is unbelievably poor — like something you’d expect after years of use, not just a few months.

This isn’t just about the defective product — it’s about how Ashley Furniture completely failed to take any responsibility. I called customer service, and the first thing they asked was: “Did you buy the extended warranty?” That says everything about this company. If you didn’t, they basically tell you “Too bad, we’re not helping you.” I spoke with a representative who claimed they would talk to a manager. One of the managers, Jane, didn’t even have the courtesy or professionalism to get on the phone and speak with me directly. I reached out multiple times — zero effort, zero care. It’s a shame. I’m currently building a brand new house and furnishing it from top to bottom — but Ashley just lost a long-term customer. Everything looks nice in the store, but after a couple of months, it all falls apart. That’s what I call a scam.

For comparison, years ago I had an issue with a dining table from Raymour & Flanigan. After 9 months of use, it started peeling. I called their customer service — they didn’t ask questions. They came, picked it up, and replaced it with a brand new one. That’s a company that stands behind its products. Ashley, on the other hand, deserves zero stars. Their products are cheap in quality, their customer service is careless, and their management hides behind reps instead of standing up and addressing issues. If you’re thinking of buying from Ashley — don’t. Take your money to a company that actually cares about its customers and the quality of what they sell. I regret every dollar I spent there, and I hope this review helps others avoid the same mistake. Shame on this company.

Ashley Furniture has some of the worst customer service. Go somewhere else if you have to. I had a delivery scheduled last month July 2025. The furniture showed up with missing parts. They tried to get me to keep the furniture until the other parts came in but fortunately I didn't accept the entire delivery. Here we are in August and I am still waiting on our King size bed to be delivered. No word on when the bed will be available. A manager called me just to give me an estimation of a date that has come and gone. Everyone seems to be so rude and upset that I am inquiring about furniture I purchased which baffles me because I should be the only one upset.

So to date I have dressers with no bed. Had to purchase a blow up mattress to sleep on. I called yesterday only to be told another week but at this point they are only throwing out dates because they cannot confirm when or if they will get all the pieces to the bed. As stated earlier, go somewhere else if you have to because this type of service is unacceptable.

    - you paid in cash so we can't cancel.
    - your items are out of stock (then why take our cash?).
    - your items are didn’t schedule delivery yet (they didn’t tell me to).

I ordered a couch online, color called coco from Ashley's. See photos of medium chocolate colored couch. When it arrived it was medium to light gray. Ashley's deny that it isn't the right one but luckily my complaint was within 3 days so I wanted it returned. Customer service people again said I had received the right couch, I again said I wanted it returned and that it was nothing as advertised. The return pick up I was assured was scheduled for 5 days time and I was assured I was within the three days given to make a complaint and have a return which I was. I complained on the day I received it.

The day of pickup came round and they had not emailed, called and did not pick up. The customer service person involved with the second call who assured me the return was organized had not done anything to organize it. Again I was told when I called in on the so-called return day that I had received the right couch. I again reiterated that the coco color advertised online couch was nothing like the one I had received but that I was within the return to return. I was again assured on this phone call that they would chase the first person up and get the return organized. I am with bated breath waiting for a return pick up and refund particularly as I've already purchased another couch in person in a store not Ashley's. Would not recommend!

The Furniture that I received has served me well. However, when I have a warranty issue, they send me in every direction because nobody wants to handle another stores problem. The original store closed, and every store close enough tells me it's outside their area. So, if you purchase their furniture, you better make sure the store doesn't ever close. You will just get the run around until you're ready to give up!!!! I highly suggest finding a furniture store that backs their product no matter what store sold it or closed.

We received furniture ordered for our new home on a Friday night. The delivery people literally ran the furniture into the house, dropped it in the living area and ran out, saying they were late and behind on deliveries. Within minutes we realized the furniture was too large for our space so contacted Ashley to ask the truck to return and collect the furniture for a credit or refund. Even if there was a return charge we would have been fine paying that and said so. They said they would call the driver but the truck did not return.

We went into the store on Saturday and were told in rude terms of the "no-returns, all sales are final" policy, but that corporate would reach out to us. We called corporate offices after hearing nothing. After finally reaching someone to reason with, they simply re-stated their "no returns" policy as if they were a robot, forcing us to sell new furniture as used. The most ridiculous, non-customer friendly service we have experienced in over 30 years buying from furniture stores. I would never buy from, or recommend dealing with Ashley furniture again under any conditions. Buyer beware!

I am writing this review to warn others not to waste their money on Ashley Furniture’s so-called Protection Plan. From the beginning, my dining chairs were wobbly and poorly assembled. I had a technician come out to tighten them, but the screws kept loosening again and again. Eventually, while sitting on one of the chairs, the wood cracked and broke because it was never properly secured. I filed a warranty claim, thinking this is exactly what the plan is for, but Ashley denied it. They said structural issues like wobbling, cracking, and loose screws are not covered. That is absurd. If a chair is defective and unstable from the start, how is that not covered under a warranty?

Here is the message they sent me after denying my claim: “Structural failures which include but are not limited to structural cracking, wobbling, loose screws, and metal breakage are not covered under your protection plan and are therefore deemed non-warranted.” Basically, they sold me a warranty that excludes the most common types of damage that happen to their low quality furniture. To make matters worse, they told me the great news is they know a technician who can fix it if I pay out of pocket. How convenient. I believe Ashley Furniture knows their products have these issues, which is why they carefully word their warranty to avoid taking responsibility. This warranty is a scam, and buying it is a complete waste of money. Do not fall for it like I did.

I really have nothing good to say about my sofa purchase from Ashley. First of all, the delivery schedule was a mess, and you cannot speak to a live person. The bot kept asking me for a delivery date only for them to keep cancelling the date. This happened 4 times and after that I finally cancelled my 2nd order. The first order was my sofa; it has got to be the worst sofa that I have ever bought. I actually get more comfort from sitting on my floor and this is usually what happens because the sofa is so uncomfortable. I have only made 1 payment, and I am about to put it out in a garage sale or donate it. This was a total waste of money. I asked if I could return it after a week and was told NO. Therefore, I am stuck with it, and I am at a loss of $400.00. I have cancelled the credit card because I don't see me purchasing anything else from Ashley's. Thank you for listening.

I ordered three items for delivery and purchased the "White Glove" delivery service for $99.99. I purchased that because I was unable to carry the items upstairs. The invoice clearly states that there were three terms for the "White Glove" delivery. Two of the items (nightstands) arrived by FedEx in a few days. I set them aside for when the dresser was delivered and all items could be "...placed in the desired room, assembled, and packaging removed..." When the dresser arrived, and was placed, I showed the boxes to the delivery team, and they said "not included", " we don't know anything about that". Even after showing them the screenshot of the items and invoice, they had to be cajoled into at least carrying the boxes upstairs.

At no time was I told that items delivered by FedEx are NOT included in "white glove " delivery. Had I been told, I may have decided not to buy the items. I feel Ashley failed in this transaction. I also feel the third-party delivery team seriously failed Ashley. I was ready to tip them $20. When I called Ashley to explain, they were not sympathetic to my request for a credit of $50 for half the "white glove" service I did not receive. I've bought quite a bit of furniture from Ashley over the last 25 years, but I will not buy anymore from them. For those of you considering "white glove" service, think again.

I purchase a Tempurpedic mattress at the Ashley Homestore in Plano, Texas. The sales reps were kind and professional however, they were deceptive in selling me the mattress under false pretenses on the return policy. Not only did they mislead me on the return policy but also on explaining the credit limit policy (Synchrony). To further explain, Ashley has a no return policy on all furniture that is delivered (something the sales staff need to make every customer well aware of), however, on a Tempurpedic mattresses, they have 90-night sleep trial. If you are not completely satisfied with the mattress you can exchange for any other mattress that is equal or more in value. You just have to pay the difference. Well, since I bought the top of the line mattress, I could not return or exchange anything. Even though the sales reps repeatedly stated I could, after testing it for 30-days. Well, that was a complete lie.

Ashley was offering a financial promotion of 5 years of no interests on the purchase. So I decided to take advantage of the promotion. However, little did I know that I would be paying for the that promotion after looking over my transaction. Not only was that a shocker, but the credit limit was also amended by the reps without my consent. It wasn't until I received a letter in the mail about 3 days later stating that I had exceeded the credit limit. These practices are not right and the consumer(s) should be made aware beforehand, so that a conscience decision can be made at the point of sale. I was mislead and after speaking with the sales reps., the manager to my local Ashley store (Houston), the assistant manager, and the manager in Plano, TX, I am appalled as to why they can get away with such practices.

This is specific to the Fremont, Ca store. I went in to the store looking for a sleeper sofa and left empty handed on purpose. Our sales associate was condescending and rude from the moment he swooped us up from the door. The sales associates are given commission which explains why on purchases which is why he was pushy in getting us to purchase an item. We ended up leaving the store due to his demeanor but then coming back after lunch because I needed the couch and can get over some poor service as long as I get what I needed. Again met with a same flippant, condescending attitude and the sales associate would not honor the 25% off that was listed on the couch stating that it didn't apply, that I would need to purchase more items. I read through all the details on the 25% offer and no where did the paperwork say I had to purchase more than one item to get the 25% but he kept saying I did.

I went to ask the manager who said he would honor the 25% on the couch, went back to salesperson who told me to first in all my purchase information and then he would go the manager and see what he could do. The manager had already ok'd the 25% but the salesperson kept insisting I put in all information on the purchase page at the store and then he would go see "what the manager could give me". At this point I walked out. What a joke. I will never walk into Ashley Furniture again. How difficult would it have been for the salesman to show me the sleeper sofas and honor the 25% off instead of such a horrible experience and I would have left with a sleeper sofa and also an ottoman.

We bought a kitchen table from Ashley mid-May. The first week we had it, I set an empty QT plastic cup on it for an hour. When I picked it up, a blemish was on the table. I called and filed a claim with Extend. Extend refused to pay it stating "manufacturer warranty". Went to Ashley store where I purchased it and they claimed it was Extend's issue. This went on for 2 months. Neither company wanted to take responsibility. Open ended conversations with both parties where they ping-ponged the responsibility back and forth.

Ashley sent a technician out and we were told it was our fault for not using a coaster (on a kitchen table) and he also failed to send report to Extend. After 2 months, our table looked like a war zone. The coasters we were instructed to use also left concentric rings on the table and the placemats the technician told us to use also discolored the table. Issue was finally resolved after multiple visits to Ashley and 25+ phone calls (and I'm not exaggerating).

Worst place to buy furniture from, hands down, nobody is worse than this place. We ordered furniture for our basement 5 years ago, spent over $6000. Was given a delivery date of 2 weeks and we were fine with that. Furniture took over 5 months, yes you read that right, 5 months to arrive! We were told there was an issue at the warehouse. Asked what the issue was exactly, never given an answer. Was told a couple months in that two pieces of our sectional were in, there are 5 pieces altogether, did we want them? No, I want the whole couch, not 2 pieces. Please ship it all together. Fast forward to this year, on July 17th, 2025 we went into the store to look at 4 simple bar stools. Found the ones we liked and thought that must have been a "one off" before and lets give them another opportunity. Told the salesman about our last experience and that we needed these stools sooner than later.

Bought the stools and was told by "Hunter" they were in stock at the warehouse and will be here next week, possibly even by July 21st, 2025, perfect. Received a call the next week saying they will be in July 31st, 2025. Little longer than we wanted to wait but so be it. Today is July 31st and I called to come pick up our stools. Wouldn't you know it, one is at the store the other 3 are delayed and should be here within 8 weeks! Unbelievable. Called Hunter and was told there is a delay at the warehouse, no kidding. Please tell me, what specifically is the delay? No answer.

All I can deduce from this is that they use this "delay at the warehouse" as a common reason for delays. My own fault for giving this place a second chance, but really its 4 simple bar stools, how could you screw this up? I am heading in today to get a full refund and distancing myself as far away from this "business" as possible. I should have learned from my past mistake and I should have also read the reviews before purchasing. I will not make that mistake again. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY AS AWAY FROM THIS PLACE WHEN SHOPPING FOR FURNITURE!!!! They have no idea what they are doing. If I could give zero stars I would.

Ashley Home Furniture is a sham! Shopped there for the first and last time ever in May of 2025. Bought a $750 chair from them that came with issues. It was nothing like the chair I tested in the store. I tried to give it some time to see if the kinks would work themselves out but the issues only got worse! The chair is impossible to lay back in as it shoots up with the slightest of movements, the feather pillows that serve as the arms, lose their shape quickly, it clicks, creaks, and squeaks incessantly despite our efforts to lubricate it. We had paid for the warranty which was a joke!! Apparently the warranty doesn’t cover shoddy craftsmanship—says so specifically in the fine print that they fail to tell you when purchasing. So, needless to say, we are stuck with a chair I despise and we will NEVER shop at another Ashley Furniture store again.

The bed came with scratches, missing screws, and the instructions were terrible!!! They gave us picture instructions which showed you one step and then skipped to a completely different step! It was very overly complicated! I called them and they said they could send someone out for $200 to build it!? I’m sorry but that is INSANE.

My husband and I purchased a bed set from Ashley Home Furniture about a year ago. We specifically chose what was marketed as the highest tier of furniture quality available—the most expensive and supposedly most durable option Ashley sells. We were excited to invest in something we believed would be long-lasting and high quality.

But within just 2–3 months of normal use, we noticed that the wood veneer on the bed frame had started chipping and peeling—without any damage or misuse on our part. It was immediately clear that this was a manufacturer defect. Even more shocking was discovering that what we thought would be solid wood construction was actually a very thin veneer over a lower-grade material. For the premium price point and Ashley’s claims of quality, we expected much more. This only reinforced how far Ashley’s product standards seem to have fallen.

We reached out to Ashley’s customer service team expecting them to stand behind their product. Instead, we spent nearly six months going back and forth—waiting for updates, following up repeatedly—only to finally be told that our warranty claim was denied. The reason? They said the issue had to be reported within 72 hours of delivery. While we were informed of this policy for delivery-related damage, our claim was not about delivery damage—it was about a clear manufacturer defect that only became visible with time. It’s disappointing that Ashley refuses to distinguish between the two or honor their product warranty in cases like this.

We’re incredibly disappointed—not only in the subpar quality of the furniture but in the lack of accountability and customer support from Ashley. For a company of this size to dismiss a long-time customer with a legitimate concern is truly disheartening. Bottom line: don’t be misled by the price tag or the “premium” label. Our experience shows that even Ashley’s top-tier furniture may be made with cheap materials—and their warranty process is designed to protect the company, not the customer. We won’t be shopping here again, and we urge others to think twice before making a purchase.

I’ve never had a worse experience with a furniture company. I ordered a King Bed on June 7, 2025, and after two failed delivery attempts, almost 2 months since I paid I still don’t have a bed.

    - The first delivery included a cracked headboard, which the delivery team tried to dismiss saying they'd send someone to "fix and patch it up".
    - The second delivery damaged my custom front door when bringing in the headboard, left trash on my property, and was missing the side board, so the bed couldn’t be assembled.
    - I’ve had to purchase and assemble a temporary bed to accommodate elderly family members.
    - Ashley’s customer service has been slow, unresponsive, and inaccurate.

    - Now they’ve scheduled a third delivery nearly two months later, and I’ve lost all confidence in their ability to deliver a complete, undamaged product.

This has cost me time, money, and a lot of stress. I’ve asked for a partial refund due to all the issues and still haven’t received a resolution. I would never recommend Ashley to anyone based on this experience!

It took a month for anyone to show up and when they did, they took the recliner apart and then realized they did not have the correct parts, so they left and said they had to order the parts. It has been a month since they were here, and no one calls or returns calls about the issue and everyone we have talked to has an I don't care attitude. My experience with Ashley’s Furniture started off great. The salesperson I worked with was helpful and professional. However, when my furniture was delivered on July 19, I noticed after the delivery team left that the bed had no latches underneath, which causes it to sink to the floor. I immediately contacted the delivery person and my salesperson, who advised me to call customer service. I did so and was told someone would follow up within 24 hours, yet no one did. I called again and explained that my son can’t sleep in the bed because it’s not properly supported, but I still received no response. I also reached back out to my salesperson but have heard nothing since.

Since then, I have made about four additional attempts to resolve this issue, including sending emails, but have not received any answers. Yesterday, I called again and asked them to pick up the bedroom set so I could purchase a safe replacement for my son. They told me to wait an hour, but now another 24 hours have passed without any update or resolution. This experience has been extremely unprofessional and disappointing, especially after spending a total of $7,000 at this store. Now I’m stuck at home with a bedroom set that is unsafe and unusable for my child. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Ashley’s Furniture to anyone.

The delivery guys cut our sectional when unwrapping it. 2 days later when we discovered the cut, I called Ashley. To this day, 7/24/25, our sectional has not been fixed. Ashley insisted on sending us fabric and having a tech come to recover it. Problem was, they couldn't get a tech to ever call and schedule an appt. I had to continue to call about not hearing from a tech. I even had one rep from Ashley to tell me to give the tech 24 hours to call me and if they didn't, I should call them.

2 appointments later (mind you, each appointment was a 4 hours window) and no tech showed up. I was only given more excuses. I am very DISAPPOINTED that's Ashley has not made this right. Beware Ashley Furniture's promotional credit marketing. I made the mistake of getting pre-qualified, selecting a couch to buy, and then when I got home, realized it wouldn't fit where it was needed, and I cancelled the order within a few hours of leaving the store. That was May 30, 2025. The store cancelled the delivery but not the charge on the Synchrony credit card. It's now July 20, 2025 and I've been watching the account on the credit card to see that the pending charge comes off. It still hasn't.

Today, I called Synchrony to ask them to remove the pending $2500+ charge to the credit card. They said I had to speak with the store to get the charge removed. When I called the store, they said they can't remove the charge and I'd have to speak with someone on their "Customer Service" line - which is anything but serving the customer. That line is an AI that refuses to put you through to an agent without speaking the right "coded language" (not literally but that's what it felt like trying to get a human being to discuss this issue with) and hours later, I finally get a woman on the line who tells me that I have to speak with Synchrony to get the pending charge removed but she'd file a case # and check with the store about it.

I will get this charge removed. I never received anything from Ashley - nothing left their warehouse - no delivery was ever attempted because I'd cancelled the order before it was ever fully processed. This is nuts. I'm spending hours to remove a pending charge for items I cancelled almost immediately. As soon as this pending charge is removed - this Synchrony account will be closed and I will think long and hard before ever choosing Ashley to buy from in the future. Horrible experience from start to finish!

Ashley Furniture has the worst customer service I've ever experienced across any industry. I went to them knowing what I wanted. The salesperson and manager upsold me on everything I planned to purchase, promising it would give me the best pain relief, and they knew I was desperate. I woke in severe pain and left-sided numbness after a few hours of sleeping on the 15" mattress and king-size zero-gravity frame they recommended. (There was no weight on the other side to counterbalance my weight.) It took me disputing the charge and three months to finally get the Nectar 12" mattress and XL twin zero-gravity bases I went in for.

The new mattresses are $1,000 cheaper, and Ashley's refuses to refund that amount to my credit card used to purchase the items. Charles Q - Customer Experience Specialist says, "Your new order exceeded the credit amount approved. You used the addition credit for the returned mattress, which was to be refunded to you for your new order." If anyone can explain that, I would appreciate it.

Meanwhile, I intend to file with small claims court for the amount not refunded and possibly throw in some for pain and suffering. Now that I have the bed I initially wanted to purchase, my pain has decreased considerably, and I am sleeping much better. It is inexcusable that they made me suffer for three months. Side note: The salesperson said there is no fee for using the 0% interest for five years through Synchrony Bank. There is a $75 fee, and Synchrony won't have your back if you have a problem. They decided to close the dispute while we were still negotiating.

Absolutely appalling experience with Ashley furniture. DO NOT GET DELIVERY SERVICE. I purchased my sectional couch from Ashley Furniture on July 6, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri. At day of purchase we were scheduled to receive the couch on July 16. On Tuesday the 8th, they reached out to see if I wanted an earlier delivery date. It was then scheduled to be delivered Thursday July 10 between 330-630 (after changing the delivery time 3 times prior.)

After taking off work and waiting all day, I get a phone call at 1045 PM, stating that the couch can no longer be delivered because the driver had injured his hand at the previous stop and he was on his way to the hospital. (YES, they were still driving and doing deliveries at this time because I had the driver's location the entire day.) They then proceeded to tell me that I would have to be moved to at least 24-48 hours for the next delivery because my item had to go all the way back to the warehouse for reprocessing. We should have been the 1st stop that next morning. Within the next 2 days I was told multiple different stories such as: it couldn’t be delivered til at least the 15th and my couch had not been delivered by the manufacturer to the store, that the couch wasn’t in stock and they were unable to determine a delivery date. They then scheduled the delivery for July 15th between 1115-215.

The driver calls me at 155 pm saying he has arrived at an apartment address across town. I informed him that that it was not the right location and verified my correct address. He reassured me that he had the correct address and would be here in 10 minutes. At 230pm I called the driver back asking where they were and he said “uhhhh yeah we have to go back to the warehouse.” I asked how long until they would be here and he said another 30 minutes.

As I am waiting for them to arrive I check the tracker and they are at another home address delivering furniture. When I texted the number that had been giving me updates “Jenny” just kept sending me a link or the driver's location and avoiding my questions. I would never recommend Ashley furniture to deliver your furniture. The driver even mentioned how horrible they are, and how Ashley works them late into the evening. This has been a complete nightmare with the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I am not one to write a review, but I could not let this go unseen. I need to start off by saying that the customer service in store is great in both the Hamilton Mountain store and the Brantford store. When buying they were accommodating and worked with us on a price as we bought multiple items for a significant amount of money. In total we bought a large couch, a recliner couch and a large dining table with 6 chairs. We also paid for the ‘white glove delivery service’ ($269.99), the 5 year protection plan ($999.99) and with taxes the total came to just shy of $9,000. By far the most I have ever spent on furniture.

Paying $269.99 for what Ashley refers to as a “white glove delivery service”, we expected the delivery to be a professional smooth experience. We couldn’t have been more wrong. 2 men arrived and began bringing our new furniture inside without a care for our property. We have just spent $19,000 dollars on new wooden flooring. They dragged furniture across our floor and were not in anyway careful with the furniture they were delivering. Upon taking half of the couch out the truck they realized that it had a huge tear down the side. So we currently have half a couch in our living room. After they had left my partner noticed that they had damaged the dining room table, the leaf to the table had been damaged when being manufactured and one of the dining room chairs appeared worn in 2 places.

My partner contacted customer service and was told that to submit a claim you have to use their text service which is basically speaking to an AI robot and uploading pictures so it can be dealt with at a later date. The text service only allows you to upload 1 picture for each claim which does not work when you have multiple issues to report. Their customer service department may as well be non existent. So as of right now we have a ‘technician’ coming out to do glue and touch up on a brand new dining room table that was damaged during the delivery process. When we complained about that we were told “this is the process”. I can assure you that we aren’t going to accept this.

The other half of the couch was supposed to be delivered tomorrow but we received a text this morning stating the delivery date has been pushed back to August 5th. My partner called them and was informed that once again the sofa was found damaged in the warehouse. We now have serious concerns about the quality of the products we have purchased.

In conclusion, the whole process has been a nightmare. Numerous phone calls, numerous trips to stores and nothing has been done to try to improve the situation. The fact Ashley think it’s appropriate to ‘touch up’ furniture that was delivered damage is beyond a joke. After they have your money, they no longer care about your experience. We’ve had no apology and no solution to the issues raised. Ashley has their way and there is nothing you can do about it. I wish someone would have warned us about Ashley before we spent a large amount of money with them. My advice would be stay well away from Ashley, which is such a shame because the team inside the stores are great and even they have nothing good to say about the customer service department and the delivery department.

I tried to price match, but the store told me they do not match from online retailers; so, I called corporate who stated they price match but then told me for my price match I had to do it through the store I purchase from because they only deal with online price matches at this number. The policy clearly states they price match but all they did was pass me back and forth, so the 3 days return policy is exhausted, and the Amazon sale was over. I left messages with the salesperson (Auriella) on Dysart Road, and she never returned my call.

My husband and I went to the Ashley in Fort Worth on City Lake Blvd and were treated so poorly that we may never return to an Ashley store again. When we walked in the door, a woman greeted us and began to explain things to us. We knew exactly what we needed and didn't need any help. We began to walk away, and she followed us and continued to talk to us. I turned around and told her "really, we don't need any help, but thanks." As we continued to walk, she continued to follow and talk! I turned around again and asked her to please let us let her know if we need help with anything. SHE STILL CONTINUED TO TALK OVER ME.

I told her one final time to back off and let us be. We walked away and she immediately talked to her manager who then found us and he basically made us feel as though we did something wrong. He said she was one of his best associates and she meant well. OH! Backing up here...When I was talking to the original girl that greeted us, I said, "we can leave. You want to lose a sale over this, really?" She said, and I quote... "Yes. You can leave if you want." Seriously? Y'all are doing so well financially that you park people at the door to harass them the second they walk in?

People aren't free to just browse the store without having to listen to the pitch every time they walk in the door? Because the sales method has been getting more aggressive each time we visit that location. I have spent a load of money at that very store for years. I'm feeling pretty confident that you lost a customer permanently. It was bad enough that the first person at the door was rude, but to then complain to the manager about us? I didn't do anything wrong! I was there to make purchases. YES PLURAL. Whenever a new customer walks in the door, it should be fine for them to say they don't need help and the associate just back off and let the customer be.

It finally arrived May 2025, but was missing the support legs and hardware to attach the legs. We have been battling since May and continue to receive emails from customer service that the legs and hardware are on back order. So what this tells me is that the seller shipped out a product and where aware pieces were already missing. Who does that? So now we have a storage bench that cannot be properly used and who knows when we will receive the back ordered items. Shame on Ashley Furniture for such poor customer service and products!!!!

I would give this place a negative rating if I could. If anyone is looking to buy furniture from this place do it at your own risk. First off they won’t exchange or take returns on furniture once it’s inside your home. Which the salesperson Wajid Hussain (Schaumburg location) never explained to us. I’ve purchased $4,000 mattresses and they were willing to accept an exchange after a 100 days. Than this scam artist salesman sold us a rug that was out of stock with no idea of it restocking just so he can get a sale. It’s been over a month now and still no rug and at this point we just want to cancel this order and even just that we’re still trying to get a resolution from Ashley.

My wife has called over and over and every time they give us a different case number. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had. Than on the day of the delivery I removed my front door to make the delivery easier and set the door leaning in my front porch and the delivery guys were being careless and knocked my door over and broke my glass on my window and damaged my door so now it’s really hard to lock my door.

When I asked the delivery guys how they were going to handle this they told us my boss will call you in ten minutes and asked us to sign for the delivery. I took it for granted that a big retail store like Ashley will do right by their customers. NOPE!! Another scam artist supposedly when we signed for the delivery we signed a damage waiver which the delivery guys who barely spoke any English didn’t explain to us at all. We have been fighting with them on a damage claim and they just emailed us a over a month later saying our case is closed because we signed a waiver. Absolutely the worst customer service. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HERE. I hope these scumbags go out of business.

I paid over $400 for the bench and over $200 to send it back. I lost 50% of what I paid for no reason! This is a robbery! I just thought in our digital era, when shopping online has become an inevitable part of our life, store with big names like Ashley should make it easy and budget/logistics friendly to return items if they didn’t work out in the room. Like Amazon does! What a huge mistake it was to put my trust in this company! It was my first time buying from Ashley and I will shop there again!

I purchased a reclining sectional from Ashley Furniture in Salt Lake City, UT in July 2021, along with a 5-year extended warranty. The couch is rarely used (it's in our downstairs area), but on April 28, 2024, someone reclined and the back of the couch snapped and the frame broke in half. I immediately filed a warranty claim on April 29, emailing photos and a copy of the invoice to **, the third-party warranty provider Ashley contracts with. But from the start, nobody took ownership of the issue.

The warranty company repeatedly claimed Ashley submitted the warranty incorrectly, and said Ashley needed to fix it. When I contacted Ashley, the store manager Tiffany said she didn't see a problem and offered no help. For months, I was stuck in the middle — Both companies pointing fingers at each other, while my couch remained broken. I followed up every few weeks, kept detailed records, and did everything I could to get this resolved. Then, nearly a year later, Ashley suddenly began to claim my warranty was void because I removed one piece of the original order — which has nothing to do with the couch and is completely false.

They claimed that when I cancelled the item, I cancelled the warranty which I adamantly disagree with because I would never do that. I bought the warranty in the first place so that I’d be covered. That excuse was never mentioned until months into the process, and frankly feels like a way for Ashley Furniture to avoid taking responsibility. Even after a manager said she’d “check with her boss” and follow up with me, I never heard back. After more than a year of being ignored, misled, and blamed for their mistake, I can say this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. Ashley Furniture failed to honor the warranty, failed to advocate for the customer, and passed me back and forth between themselves and their contractor hoping that I would give up. ⚠️ I would not recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone.

The sales person was actually very happy-go-lucky person as was my experience up to that point. They did not have the couch in stock that I wanted but agreed to show me a couch that was made exactly like mine. The extra firm cushions the strong seating so there's no sagging was all what I was looking for. Unfortunately that was for all the good stuff. The price of $599 ended up being almost $1,000 after all was said and done. The promise to deliver my couch within 2 weeks did not happen nor did I receive a call after calling them. hey said they had not received the couch yet from the manufacturer. That's what I learned there were no refunds and the most I could hope for would be to pick a different couch. Two weeks later still no couch and no phone call.

After another 2 weeks I finally got the phone call and my couch was delivered on Saturday. After installation is set up I was happy with my couch for almost a week. The middle started sagging just like my old 10-year-old couch which is what I replaced. I removed the cushioning and found that they were not extra thick and firm as I suspected from the beginning. I stood on the bottom of the couch under the cushion like the salesperson did and her spiked high heels and found that I sank unlike her or her like high heels in the other couch which was in the showroom. What I bought I thought was a diamond what they delivered to me was a cheap zirconia.

From the time I agreed to buy until now My satisfaction is overwhelmingly unhappy. I feel duped. I feel ripped off and there's not a darn thing I can do about it. I would recommend never even pulling onto the parking lot of an Ashley furniture store let alone walking inside. Unsatisfied is not how I would describe my feeling about my purchase. It is less than that. Their cons and I can't explain it any other way. Buyer beware. Go somewhere else.

I purchased 4 white counter night barstools from Ashley Furniture. We decided to pick them up from the warehouse because we’re having a party & wanted to have our home a little more finished before the party. 2 days later we were able to pick them up. My husband had to take some time off work & it took a while for him to get into the warehouse for our stools but he got them, got home to put them together & we discovered that they gave 2 of the stools we ordered & 2 similar stools (they are brown). I immediately reached out to the sales guy that said if anything was wrong he’d take care of me, when I reached out he told me to text the number I used to schedule pickup.

I have had to talk to 3 different people or maybe it’s AI but after spending a full day texting back & forth & sending the pics they finally told me that they would exchange the stools but they will not exchange them until next week! They say they’re not available till next week yet they were available (or supposed to be available) Tuesday when they gave us the wrong stools. The sales guy stopped responding & there is no actual person to speak with! Now I’ll have 2 boxes sitting around during our party & only 2 stools for guests to share.

I understand mix ups happen but if we only have 72 hours to report an issue why don’t Ashley have 72 hours to make it right? I needed more furniture & was planning on buying from Ashley however I feel I’ve been given the run around (they never got back to me when they said they would, I had to keep initiating the text) and I feel like if they take their time to correct a mistake & make me feel like I no longer matter then I will not spend anymore money with Ashley. We are really worried that come next week they will potentially extend our exchange or possibly even not exchange them at all because by that time it will be past the 72 hours & since we can’t get a call with an actual person who knows if they’ll follow through with their word!! I would not suggest any of my family or friends to buy from Ashley Furniture because if something goes wrong, it may not be corrected & there’s the potential of being stuck with a product I did not buy!

There was a delay, I asked so it will be later today. He said no, it will be delivered 07/10 - 07/12.

We bought a sofa and loveseat from Ashley Furniture in October, 2020. The love seat had very light use. We used the sofa as our main seating area. The loveseat started to be used more in January, 2025. All of the sudden every time we sat on it we would hear a noise. It never occurred to us that the frame was breaking and falling apart every time we sat on it until we felt it give way, and break in two. We were in shock as everything seemed to be in perfect condition. We contacted Ashley customer service and sent pictures of the broken wood and other areas it was starting to go. We also sent a full picture to show how well the outside of the loveseat was to prove this was not due to misuse.

They responded by saying the frame in only guaranteed for 5 years and they will only replace the wood pieces that broke and that we have to pay for a technician to fix it ourselves. They also said the loveseat is now discontinued and I'm basically S.O.L. I have had other furniture never ever in my 60 + years has a frame broke, never mind into pieces and the fact that they want to charge us for the repair in ridicules. DO NOT BUY anything from here, go somewhere else and ask about frame warranty. We were under the impression when we bought it there was a lifetime warranty on the frame. Now there are saying No and will only supply the wood. Absolutely absurd. This is unacceptable from a furniture chain like this. The loveseat cannot be used as it is a danger with wood pieces sticking out.

I recently made a purchase with Ashley Furniture. The barstools ended up being too tall for my counter. I reached out to Ashley furniture and was advised if I need to send them back, that I have to pay for all the shipping. The shipping is close to what I paid for the chairs. So I’m returning an item and still basically paying for the item that I don’t have. I don’t believe that’s good customer service. I was honest regarding why I was returning them, when I could’ve said it was damaged and sent it back that way. I expressed this to the representative. They basically told me “oh well that’s that”. I will not be using Ashley furniture in the future. Customer service goes a long way and gets repeat business. I don’t feel like that was good customer service more than I was treated like a person rather than just a number.

I ordered a sleeper sofa from Ashley in March, which was supposed to include two decorative pillows. The couch arrived three weeks later, without the pillows. I contacted Ashley right away, and they assured me a service order had been placed and the pillows would be delivered in May. May came and went with no delivery. I then received a text update pushing the date to mid-June. It’s now the end of June, and I’ve been told the new estimated arrival is sometime in July. After finally reaching a customer service manager, I was informed that the pillows are out of stock. Seriously?

Instead of resolving the original issue, I was offered store credit toward a sleeper sofa. Am I supposed to go through this same headache all over again? If it’s taken four months (and counting) to receive two small pillows, I can only imagine the delay for an entirely new piece of furniture. I’ve tried calling the store multiple times, but after sitting on hold for far too long, the line disconnects with a message saying no one is available. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. The customer service is simply unacceptable.

UPDATE: TWO WEEKS LATER Received $1100... We spent $2182. This is absolutely unacceptable!! The store blocked my number from calling, but was able to call from work no issues?? I have filed a complaint with the BBB! I have also contacted two TV news stations to do a story!! I want the remaining amount!!!! I was so excited to purchase the Maggie sofa and ottoman and another rocker/recliner. The items were delivered to our condo on a Thursday and the two delivery guys absolutely refused to even attempt to get them up the outer stairway. They stood the sofa up on it's END and said, "See, it won't fit". My husband even tried to tell them if they turn it on the side, it would fit and he even offered to help. They got agitated and again said, "It won't fit".

We were furious and told them to just put them back on the truck and return to the store. The next morning, we went to the Clearwater Florida store to complain. All they offered was a replacement sofa and to try again. We were upset at that point and just asked for a refund of the total amount. They told us we'd have to call customer service which I did. And guess what....they said we'd have to wait 7-1o days for a refund. UNACCEPTABLE!!!! We are still without living room furniture as we wait for a refund so we can go somewhere else to purchase. Never again!!!! Day 10 still no refund.

Do yourself a favor and don’t shop here! And certainly don’t buy their extended warranty. I feel like I have been completely taken by these people. Buyer beware! How can you give less than one star? I really wish there was a way! They don’t deserve even one star. I ordered a couch and two recliners on March 31. The furniture has immersive sound features. We had them delivered on April 10. The couch and one of the recliners work fine. But the second recliner is defective. And since day one it hasn’t worked. There is a port in the back of the chair where you plug in your immersive sound feature. On one of the recliners there is a small pin in the port that is bent and can’t be straightened. It is impossible to plug it into the TV sound. We did not learn this on delivery day because we didn’t have our new TV yet. We didn’t hook it up until the following weekend.

On the 14th I texted my sales guy to let him know of the issue. Unfortunately, you only have three days to tell them if there’s anything wrong. We didn’t know of the issue till day four. I did agree to pay a ridiculous price for a warranty and the issue was covered. Unfortunately, despite numerous attempts to contact the service department, they did not call me until April 21 to set a service appointment. At that point, the lady said the soonest they could get someone out to my home was 5 weeks later on May 24. The purpose of these appointments is that they determine if they will replace your furniture or repair it in your home.

In my case, they determined that they could repair it in my home. But they did not have the part. I told them exactly what was wrong with when I called them in the first place and offered to send pictures. They should’ve known they need a new port, its not a puzzle, especially if they’re waiting so long to come out. It felt like they should’ve had one on hand. But I was trying to be patient with them. The guy said someone would call me back when they got his “report”. It is now June 20 and my chair still has no sound and never has worked.. I still have no part. I called and pretty much begged them for the name of the part manufacturer so I could just take care of it on my own and leave them out of it. I wanted to call the manufacturer or get the part and call Geek Squad or handy to come out and put the part in for me.

All they would tell me is that the vendor is M013. I said that sounds like your internal vendor number and not a company name. There’s no company called that. And she said yes that’s a vendor number. I can I please have the vendor name. She said I just told you it’s M103. She was really snotty. She told me that she already explained to me that it wasn’t coming until 2 to 4 weeks. And I said it’s going to be four weeks on Thursday and she said. Not in business days. And I said well there’s five business days in a week and you said 3 to 4 weeks. She said no it’s business days. You don’t understand what business days are.

I said how would you translate 2 to 4 weeks into business days then? She just kept talking circular like that and not making any sense. I never raised my voice to her but she said I am not going to listen to this anymore. Then she hung up. So I guess that’s the end of my story. I need to order furniture for three more rooms and you can believe it’s not coming from Ashley **! I’ve just basically been ripped off for over $2000 for a recliner that has never worked and a worthless warranty.. Lessons learned the hard way I guess. Don’t shop here. They don’t care.

I am writing this review not just as a customer, but as a deeply shaken and humiliated individual. What was meant to be an exciting day of picking out furniture for our new home turned into a nightmare that left my entire family—especially my young children—traumatized. On June 16th, we visited the Ashley Furniture store on Miramar Road in San Diego. The store was completely empty—there wasn’t a single other customer in sight. We walked around for about 10–15 minutes and quickly identified three items we wanted to purchase: two chairs and a table. We approached a salesperson named Momo and informed him of our decision. From the start, he seemed visibly displeased that we were only purchasing a few items, despite the fact that we were just getting started with furnishing our entire home. Nevertheless, we proceeded with the transaction.

When we reached the cashier and I began filling out my information, I politely asked Momo not to add me to any marketing lists—a simple, common-sense request. At that moment, something completely unprovoked and disturbing happened. Momo suddenly snapped. He began yelling and screaming at me in front of my wife and children, claiming I was the most “difficult customer” he had ever dealt with. I was stunned—I hadn’t even spoken to him much before this moment, let alone said or done anything inappropriate. The entire encounter up until then had been quick, polite, and uneventful. The verbal aggression was so intense, loud, and public that my children were visibly shaken and began crying. My family and I were publicly humiliated and emotionally distressed in a way that I never imagined possible while shopping for furniture.

I immediately asked to speak to the manager, who shockingly admitted that this was not the first time customers had complained about this same salesperson. Why is someone with a known pattern of abusive behavior still employed in a customer-facing role? Why has Ashley Furniture failed to act? Even more disturbing, I cannot shake the feeling that this outburst was rooted in discrimination—I was treated with inexplicable hostility and disrespect, and I firmly believe that my race or background played a role in how I was spoken to and treated.

We left the store not only empty-handed, but deeply rattled. Since that incident, my children have been having nightmares, and my family continues to relive the trauma of that day. We were verbally attacked, publicly shamed, and emotionally scarred—all for trying to buy a few pieces of furniture. I am currently consulting with legal counsel and intend to pursue a lawsuit against Ashley Furniture for emotional distress, public humiliation, and potential discrimination. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and Ashley must be held accountable for the toxic environment they allow in their stores. To any potential customers reading this: beware. This is not just about poor customer service—this is about basic human decency. And Ashley Furniture, at least on Miramar Road, has failed us all.

This review is based on my experience with the Fairfax Ashley Store. Extremely disappointed with my experience at Ashley Furniture. The entire process was filled with poor communication and unacceptable customer service. The administrative office made an error and refunded the wrong credit card. When we brought this to the attention of Deka, the manager on duty, she did absolutely nothing — no apology, no acknowledgment, no effort to correct the mistake. Completely dismissive and unprofessional. She actually laughed when we mentioned the issue.

On top of that, the delivery coordination was a mess. After the store emailed us to schedule delivery, we promptly replied on May 27. Despite sending three follow-up emails, we received zero updates until I finally had to call the customer care line on June 9. To make matters worse, once I finally reached someone, they pushed the delivery date even further out. This has been one of the most frustrating and poorly handled customer experiences I've had. I will absolutely not be returning to Ashley Furniture and strongly caution others. The only bright light of the experience was Asha - she listened to our needs when we were exploring which couches we were considering and was patient and pleasant.

I would like to first start out saying that my salesman, Al was absolutely amazing. He did everything in his power to make my shopping experience good. With that said, I will now tell my shopping experience. My girlfriend and I went to the store in Southaven MS, where I had previously bought two different living room sets. We looked around for a new recliner for myself, just having a major back surgery, I needed one that had more support. I ultimately found one that I ended up buying, but I was quoted the price for it, and then we went and looked at an adjustable bed base, which I also ended up buying. When we set down to do the paperwork I was informed that the price had been changed, while we were shopping, and now it’s $100 dollars more.

I was also informed that because I had purchased an extended warranty on my previous living room sets, and had not filed a claim on it that I would be able to apply the price of it on my recliner. Now the interesting part, Al explained to us that he would have to write up rhetorical recliner as a lay a way, and once he was told by their AR department that I had not filed a claim that then he would be able to finish the paperwork. So needless to say I couldn’t get both pieces delivered at the same time and that I would have to come back to the store to sign the paperwork for the recliner. I wasn’t very happy with that since again I was suffering from my back surgery, but I understood he was just doing his job.

I went back a couple of days later and signed the paperwork for my recliner and was informed that the delivery truck was full now for the day we had the bed base set to be delivered, and that I would have to pay for another delivery fee on top of what I had already paid for the bed base. The delivery fee for the bed base was $99 dollars and the delivery fee for the recliner was $180 dollars, which made no sense to me. Both deliveries were made okay, and the following day I reached out to their customer service department to see what they could do to compensate me for the extra $100 dollars and the extra delivery fee.

After spending almost 30 minutes on the line I was told all they could do is offer me a $75 dollar credit for the delivery fee.. So I urge anyone shopping at any of their stores to make sure you know this before you go. I will be closing my Ashley’s credit card and will NEVER step foot in their store again. I just hope and pray I don’t have anything go wrong with either one of the items I bought. Thanks!!

Absolutely appalling experience with Ashley Furniture – avoid at all costs. I purchased a couch from Ashley Furniture in Toms River, NJ on November 15, 2024, along with their 5-year ProtectAll extended protection plan. Less than a year later, in fact -ONLY 6 MONTHS LATER, the couch developed serious issues with the reclining mechanism and pinching—clear signs of a manufacturing defect and safety concern.

I reached out on June 1, 2025, to begin a warranty claim and was immediately bounced back and forth between Ashley Furniture and ProtectAll. I followed up again on June 2 and June 3, during business hours, and still couldn’t get a straight answer from either party aside from "we made note and someone will call you back." But no word over WHO was responsible. On June 11, Ashley informed me it would take over six weeks just to get the part needed for repair and another month after that to schedule a technician. A 10+ week delay is absolutely unacceptable for a couch under warranty.

On June 12, I contacted the Toms River location directly, and while I was told a regional manager would contact me over the weekend, what I got instead was a call on June 13 from a rude customer service supervisor telling me Ashley Furniture no longer wants to work with me regarding this issue—despite the warranty still being active and the defect clearly falling under its terms.

This company has shown zero accountability, offers horrendous customer service, and refuses to honor their warranty. I’ve since filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am pursuing further action. I paid good money for what I was told would be a “worry-free” piece of furniture, and instead, I’m left with a non-functional and unsafe couch and no support. Buyer beware.

Additionally, I am forced to clean up feathers from the floor every single day. This situation is unacceptable and clearly points to a defect in the product. I purchased an extended warranty to cover damages or issues like this. However, when a representative came to inspect the couch, I was told there was nothing wrong and that it is normal for down-filled furniture to shed feathers. I strongly disagree with this assessment. I own other down-filled furniture, and none of them behave this way. I expect Ashley to take immediate action to resolve this matter, including the removal and replacement of the defective couch. But till now nothing has been done to resolve this issue.

The left recliner was leaning back and both cushions were soft and sinking in. I have always purchased La-Z-Boy but gave Ashley a try. Sorry to say ...I will go back to La-Z-Boy. I called customer care twice and they could not do anything for us except send someone over for $90 to access and then pay cost of material and labor.

I would give them a zero star if possible. We bought a couch recliner and a chair recliner. Paid extra for insurance on it. Within a month or so the recliner on the couch started sagging and color on materials came off in spots. It was under warranty and they picked it up for repair. They kept it over a month and finally brought it back. The spots were fixed but not the sagging broke part. We called them and they said their warranty was up to call the insurance. We did, they turned the claim down because they said you have to report it within thirty days. Well obviously we did but the store had had it sent somewhere to fix it. So now the insurance won't cover it and we have a less than year old new broken couch. I don’t recommend this store or the extra insurance coverage. It's a rip off of a deal. Also my son liked the way ours looked when we brought it. He bought the set too. Same thing his is broken too.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences with Ashley. I went in to buy an ergonomic pillow for my neck pain following a recent surgery. The salesperson assured me I could return it within 30 days if it didn’t work out. Based on that promise, I bought it. But at checkout, a different employee suddenly told me I only had 72 hours to return it. That was already sketchy, but it got worse. After using the pillow once, I realized it made my neck pain worse. I tried returning it within 24 hours, but a different Ashley store refused to take it, saying returns must go to the exact same location where it was purchased. Fine. I went back to the original store—only to be told by the manager that the pillow was a floor model and nonrefundable. None of this was disclosed to me when I bought it.

This is a complete bait-and-switch. The sales team flat-out lied, and the return policy is inconsistent and deceptive. The staff were rude, unhelpful, and clearly trained to give customers the runaround. Save yourself the headache and shop somewhere else. Ashley does not care about customers. Just a bunch of liars with awful customer service.

The sales people will mislead you about "expected" delivery dates. Nor will they even bother to tell you that your furniture will not be delivered anywhere close to the date you asked for. Even though you give them like a month lead time. When confronted, their sales people will simply shrug, tell you to complain to head office if you want your money back, and them walk away. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I can't comment on the quality of the furniture since it still hasn't been delivered. But I would encourage people to read other reviews. Apparently the build quality is bad.

I immediately requested a replacement, as I purchased a brand new table—not a used or repaired one. However, Ashley Furniture insisted on attempting a repair first, which I strongly disagreed with.

For the past month, I’ve contacted customer service weekly, only to be told repeatedly to "wait 72 hours for an update" or "5-7 business days." None of these promises have led to any resolution. I even visited the Ashley store in Yorba Linda, CA, four times. Each time, the store manager, acted as though it was my first visit, forcing me to re-explain the situation. Despite promising to follow up within 72 hours, I never received any updates from him.

As of today, I still have a chipped table sitting in my dining room, and no one at Ashley Furniture seems to care about resolving this issue. Their customer service is appalling, and their lack of accountability is shocking. I will never purchase anything from Ashley Furniture again. If I could give 1 star, I would. I ordered multiple pieces of furniture on 3/23 (desk, 2 bookshelves, a chair, and a rug). Furniture to be delivered 4/7, rug to be FedEx's 4/22. All items were damaged, a tech came out and fixed the bookshelves and chair, but the desk was damaged beyond repair and was reordered. The new desk was also damaged, and a tech had to come out to fix that. My rug was never delivered on 4/22. I have placed 7 calls to ask for updates and I keep getting different information. 4/24 - created a ticket and was told someone would contact me in 72 hours, no one called me back.

5/1 - called for an update and was told someone would contact me in 72 hours, no one called me back. 5/5 - talked to a "supervisor" at their customer service center who told me my rug was ready for pick-up, I told her that isn't an option 1. Because I was told by the sales rep it would be FedEx'd and that statement should be honored. 2. Because the rug is 8x10 and I had no way of transporting it. I told her that pick-up is not an option. She told me she would have it shipped, and would call me back with the details. She never called back.

5/9 - Called for an update was told my rug would be available 5/12 and delivered 5/14. I did receive a call from the store in Henderson, NV that day and was told my rug would be shipped out ASAP. I asked him what would be done for the inconvenience, he said he would check and call me back, but he never called back. Called 5/13 to ask if my rug shipped, I was told no, that it was waiting to be picked up by me from their warehouse. I explained, again that picking it up was not acceptable to me, and was told it would ship by the end of the day. 5/14 - called to check the status, the rug has not been shipped. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was finally connected to the store (I was told, repeatedly, that connecting to the store was not an option).

Spoke with Jose who told me my rug was ready for pick up, so I explained again why that was not an option. He told me he would call me back in one hour to give me tracking information. I called back 3 hours later, was hung up on my customer service when I asked to be connected to the store, and had to call back to be properly connected. Spoke with Edgar (sales manager) who told me he would update the order to ship when the system allowed him to enter my order. I guess there was someone already accessing my order, so he couldn't update it. He told me he would follow up with me once he updated my order to ship.

My ticket keeps getting closed out by their customer service department, but there has been no resolution. Dealing with this company has been a nightmare and has wasted hours of my time. Ordered three pieces of furniture from Ashley furniture, sofa recliner, and the dining room table - which was on the showcase floor and was supposed to come with the sofa and the recliner today, April 29, 2025. The dining room table was not on the truck. We contacted Ashley furniture in Waldorf and was advised that whoever schedule the delivery did not send an email letting the drivers know that they needed to do a flyby which means to go past the store to pick up the dining room table. Ashley furniture didn’t do nothing to rectify the inconvenience of me and my husband taking off work today, all they did was suggest a delivery date for May 1, which was unacceptable.

The call was not handled professionally, nor did she have any remorse of the error for us not receiving the dining room table. Ashley furniture needs to rectify this, and someone needs to deliver the table immediately. Brianna at the front desk called store manager Michael who refused to talk to me because he was off today. Dillon sent an email to corporate in Brandywine, MD, asking them what they could do to rectify the situation. They said there is nothing they can do except to reschedule a delivery. Corporate office did nothing to rectify the problem so we could get our dining table. This is the second complaint. I filed a BBB complaint. As of Wednesday, May 15, 2025, no one has contacted me. If I could put no stars, it would be nice Absolutely Horrible Experience – Never Again. I purchased a pullout couch from Ashley’s Furniture in April 2024, just before undergoing surgery. Within 2-4 days of receiving it, I discovered that the pullout mattress was covered in mold. I immediately contacted the person who sold it to me—only to find out shortly after that he left the company, apparently realizing there are better furniture stores out there.

From that point forward, the experience went completely downhill. The company did nothing to help me in the beginning, and I had to go through multiple hoops just to be acknowledged. Then, the mechanism inside the couch broke. Getting it repaired or replaced became an endless waiting game. Fast forward nearly a year later—and I still don’t have the full replacement.

To make matters worse, I was told something would be delivered on a certain date, and then they shipped it early with no warning, leaving it outside my house. Ashley’s uses two different companies to handle shipping and installation, which results in major delays. The warehouse gets it and not even them but a 3rd party company delivers it, and installs it—sometimes weeks apart. It’s completely inefficient and disorganized.

I paid over $1200 for this couch, and not once did I feel like a valued customer. The communication was terrible, the process dragged on for months, and the mold issue alone should’ve been treated as a serious health concern. Instead, they “offered” me a courtesy mattress—as if they were doing me a favor. I will never shop at Ashley’s again. The customer service is atrocious, their logistics are a mess, and no one should have to fight this hard over furniture, especially when it arrives defective from day one.

I purchased the double deal 7 piece sectional in early March 2025. I finally got it delivered on May 7. The delivery and set up was totally unacceptable. It was not put together correctly. The wedge piece is not even sitting on the floor! The other pieces are not aligned properly. And they didn’t place the sectional properly as the corner wedge does not align with the corner of the wall. I expressed my concerns to the delivery guys about how poorly they set this up. They just looked at me and said we never put one of these together before this is our first time. Any question I asked these guys they responded by saying I don’t know. And when they were setting this up, they were digging their knees into my brand new furniture.

I immediately contacted customer service and have been going back-and-forth texting for two days now. I mentioned how the set up was unacceptable. Their response was how sorry they are that I’m not satisfied. I sent them pictures and they agreed with me that it was unacceptable and then they changed their story by saying that these misalignments look to be normal as there will be a slight variation due to manufacturing. Are you kidding me?? They insulted my intelligence by telling me the misalignments are normal. I refuse to send more photos as I sent them enough and if they can’t see how unprofessional this installation was, I don’t know what else to tell them. Then they said they would have a technician come out but not until May 27. Really? I have to look at my very expensive sectional looking like the pieces were just dropped wherever? Now they’re telling me I have to go through a warranty process.

This is nothing to do with a warranty. It has to do with incompetent delivery personnel, not knowing what they’re doing and admitting that they did not know. I kept expressing my concerns to them and I keep getting the same response about how sorry they are about my experience and this is now a warranty issue and that they will look into it. I’m not sure what they need to look into as this is definitely not a warranty problem. I told them don’t use my warranty because it will exhaust it and then when I need it, I won’t have it. Warranty does not cover incompetent delivery people. I keep repeating and repeating the issues I’m having and all I ask is to have a competent technician come out and put the sectional together correctly. This should’ve been done when delivered.

I have asked twice to have my delivery fee reimbursed as I did not get the hyped up service that they said I would get due to their extremely high delivery fee. Anyway, all in all very, very dissatisfied with the delivery, set up, customer service, just talking in circles and wanting to use my warranty to correct their mistake. Two days of texting these people and not one phone call from them or a resolution in place. I will never deal with this store again.

While a frequent shopper at Ashley Furniture over the years, a recent experience with the purchase of a sofa is leading me to never trust a purchase at this store again. The purchase was not only of a sofa with a chaise lounge, but also elected to add the protection plan. Experienced a tear on the seam of the chase lounge cushion. Figured that the protection plan would cover such damage. Contacted the Greenville, SC store where the purchase was made only to learn that the item is no longer stocked. It was only purchased 2 or so years ago.

Contacted third party company handling any extended protection plans and were told "tears" such as the one described to them and sent via photo were not covered. We were even willing to purchase the chaise cushion to replace the damaged one. Contacted the parts department and were told that was the one item that could not be sold as it was not a part of what is allowed to be delivered. Absolutely ridiculous response as they can certainly deliver the actual chaise lounge but for some reason unable to only deliver the cushion. This is a surmise of all the calls made to try and remedy this situation, but totally frustrating and believe to be more than understanding from our end. Will not purchase at Ashely again.

What a lousy experience and joke this company and its service team is. We received a bedframe that did not come with all of the parts. I’ve called three times now because they’ve ordered the wrong parts after explaining in detail and sending pictures on two different occasions. We paid $5000 for a leather couch that came scuffed up and when calling to tell them about it, they sent us a replacement cover with no direction of how to put it on and it looks like it needs to be sewed in. I told them they can come get the section of the couch entirely and replace it or pick up the entire couch and give us a full refund. I’ve had to call this place more times than my kids call me in a day.

The beachcroft rocker looks nice but built poorly. The base of the rockers are garbage. Ashely should be ashamed to put out such a poor quality base. After paying $700 per rocker we are having to spend another 100-150 for new bases after 16 months. They of course don’t have replacement parts so you have to go to a third party and “make it work”. Better products are out there.

I purchased a lift chair from Ashley with no problems, they are extremely eager for my money. I paid a lot of extra money for inside delivery and setup. That part I really don’t understand other than greed. The delivery driver showed up at the door, asked me where I wanted the chair, I told him that I needed my old chair removed, and the new one and the same place. Words out of his mouth, “We don’t do that.” I bought a lift chair for a reason, I am not able to do any type of the work to move the old chair. I looked at him and said, "Do you see that wheelchair beside you? You get the picture of how the rest went." I told him to take it back. This store has absolutely no concern about anything but the almighty dollar. Sorry, Ashley’s for the bad review but it’s on you and not me. All I wanted was a lift chair for disability reasons.

EXTREMELY unhappy and disappointed in Ashley Furniture of Sioux Falls SD. We specifically worked with Shawn, and when finalizing our purchase he agreed to extend our payment terms to 18 or 24 months (I don’t recall which, but when making our payment plan ourselves, we planned to pay off in full by or just before the 18 months to be safe). On the 13th month of our financing, we received a bill with a large interest charge included, even though we’d been paying above what we needed and were nearly complete in payments. I called into Ashley Furniture to discuss and get this resolved, the first woman was able to assist, noting had found some notes or an email from Shawn alluding to the extended financing, but that he hadn’t fulfilled that on the order; she would work with management to get that resolved and call back.

Never heard back so called again and spoke with Carly who looked into it and said that there was no documentation, no anything, and that it was 12 month financing. No further assistance offered. We tried calling Wells Fargo regarding the issue and they were extremely rude as well. We ended up paying the full amount, with the interest being nearly as much as what remained of our bill, and are very disappointed that Ashley Furniture did not stand behind what they said they would do initially. We will NOT be purchasing from here again.

After 4 phone calls to corporate all directing me back to the store, I talked to Lionel the manager who assured me he would talk to his supervisor and get back to me by the end of the day. I could probably return as I just wanted to get an in-store credit to purchase something else. This was 5 days after delivery. This is so uncomfortable that no one is even sitting on it! Here we are a week later, no call. He is unavailable the 6 times I have called, and the 2 times I have gone to the store. The customer service is the worst!!

I always see reviews that say, I wish I could give 0-ZERO stars, and now I understand why people say this. I am writing on behalf of my mother who is in fragile health and my father in early Alzheimer's. This elderly couple purchased a recliner from this store. After the fact I learned the following. They received a cheap, defective version of the store model that was crooked and off balance. My sweet parents went back to the store the next day and were told by Logan the store manager that the defective chair would be replaced by a new chair. THIS NEVER HAPPENED. So, my mother and father both in poor health went back to the store and were told by Logan the store manager that they could have the store floor model which would have been an acceptable solution. They tried to make arrangements to have this transaction take place and it never happened.

Logan then told my parents that they had the chair in their home too long to return it and their only option was to have the defective chair fixed and returned to them and they would be responsible for the delivery charge to return the chair to them. Now any of you reading this can see that Logan made promises to this elderly couple and ran the clock out on them running them in circles as they tried to resolve their issue so he could say they had the chair too long. NOW, my husband, myself, my brother, my sister, and my brother in law are not happy and are involved. I called the corporate office and was told that they could not assist me and would have to deal directly with the store. The corporate office said they would connect me to the store, but could get no one to answer the phone at the Colerain, Ohio location.

I inadvertently called the tricounty location and spoke to a manager Jonah who was helpful, but could be of no help because the transaction did not occur at his store. I contacted the Colerain location where the store was originally purchased, and Diamond, store personnel indicated that Logan would not come to the phone, but she would try to have Logan call me. NOW, my husband, my brother, my sister, and brother in law all need to take busy time from our schedule to go down to this store and try to make this situation right.

If you value your family, your pennies, your time, and customer service, my experience should give you the idea that you won't want to work with this store. It is too much of a gamble should something go wrong with the merchandise. Most certainly you will have to spend your time, your money and will get little satisfaction regarding the customer service experience. You have a better chance at ordering from Amazon or considering another option. You can take a chance if you have cash to burn, but most people are not in that position, particularly today.

Worst experience I have ever had buying a piece of furniture. I purchased a dresser from the online Ashley Furniture website. Delivery was two weeks and had to take a day off work to wait for the door delivery. After opening the box, the dresser was busted out at the bottom. No damage to the card board box that it came in. I called customer service and had to file a warranty claim for a product that just needed an exchange. Sent pictures with claim. Wait a week with no communication. Called back to customer service. They said that they could get me a $48 dollar discount to keep the dresser. I asked for an exchange. They said I would have to wait till a repair person could determine if it could be repaired.

Waited three more days. No communication or scheduling for a repair person. Called again, on the phone with company service for an hour begging for an exchange or refund and I would pick up and deliver myself at the warehouse if needed. They said it would take a month to get another and could not refund my money. A month later I get a call from the warehouse and the new dresser is also damaged and they will have to reorder. Called the customer service department again and demanded a refund and told them I needed to speak to someone who could make that happen. They said they will have a supervisor call me within 48 hours. Ridiculous. I have called my credit card company and ask them if I can reverse the charge if Ashley furniture will not refund my money. They said I could.

I called and spoke to Angel ** who is the escalation department supervisor, who explained to me after I sent her photos, but obviously all I could do is tell her about the smell who told me that that is normal for my couch to smell like mildew for 10 days and that there would be no replacement or return on my product. We recently purchased a new sofa and oversized chair for our tv room upstairs. I am very pleased with the quality of the items. HOWEVER, we paid the $230 "White Glove" Delivery fee only for the delivery to go very poorly. Within 2 minutes of being here I was asked to remove the door to the room (which I gladly did) and then told that our stairwell was too tight to get the couch upstairs. We have moved multiple large items up and down the stairs - it is not easy, but possible. I was told they were going to leave with the furniture OR I could sign a liability waiver for them to move the furniture up the stairs. I signed the waiver, which was blank in the "list the obstacle section".

After removing the safety rail from the stairs they were able to get the couch up. They had a few issues getting through the door frame and acknowledged and showed me that they scraped the wood. After they left, I vacuumed because they wore dirty, wet shoes all through my house and left scraps of packing material. When vacuuming I noticed that they left a HUGE hole in the drywall in the hallway. The hallway was plenty wide enough to move the couch through and in no way an obstacle. They left without acknowledging or apologizing. While I understand I signed a waiver, the hallway was in no way part of the "obstacle" for delivery. I called customer care and was repeatedly told there was nothing they can do. To charge $230 for "White Glove" and have to clean up after the delivery is ridiculous. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service/delivery of our furniture.
