After speaking with three different customer service reps, I finally had the pleasure of working with Anna at Ashley Furniture—and she went above and beyond to help me. She was kind, patient, and extremely efficient. What stood out the most was how clearly she explained and walked me through each step she was taking, which gave me confidence in the process.

Even though my order totaled over $2,000 and the system wasn’t showing it properly, Anna reassured me with her honesty and professionalism. Because of her support, I still went ahead and purchased the same items. She made me feel valued and safe, and I truly appreciate the exceptional service she provided. Ashley Furniture is lucky to have someone like Anna on their team.

Worst mistake was going to Ashley. I purchased a queen size bed with a 12" mattress. They said I would need a foundation for thus which I knew that. They ordered a 10" foundation to set on a bed that sits 8" off the floor. The top mattress now sits 30" off the floor. They will not stand behind this and make it right. I will never buy from Ashley again.

Purchased an online sectional. Received it signed that it was delivered (what I was told). The color of the sectional was nothing close to the picture online. I called to return the sectional and was told basically “Too bad order on line, sign for delivery and you have to keep it”. Spent over 2 hours trying to get Ashley to take the return. The sectional is still packaged. No luck. Opened a complaint with the Consumer Department of Justice.

I purchased $3,400 worth of living room furniture from Ashley Furniture in Tucson, AZ. The in-store experience was fine, but everything went downhill after that. First, I was told all items were in stock, but they were not, and my order was delayed. When I finally picked it up, the warehouse staff refused to help load, leaving my husband and teenage daughter to do it themselves. At home, I discovered the recliner didn’t work and the chaise had a tear.

The warranty process was a nightmare. I was told my warranty was void because I didn’t unbox the items at pickup — something no one mentioned when I purchased. Customer service bounced me between call centers and wrong stores for months. Appointments were repeatedly scheduled, rescheduled, or changed last minute. At one point, my husband drove furniture an hour away for a “store repair,” only to get a text mid-drive saying the appointment was changed back to our house. We wasted fuel, time, and multiple days off work, and the technician who eventually showed up couldn’t even complete repairs because no parts had been delivered.

It took filing a BBB complaint to finally get the furniture repaired. Even then, Ashley dragged their feet on compensation. After months of wasted time (over 24 hours on calls and emails), missed work, gas expenses, and sheer frustration, they finally offered me $90. That doesn’t even cover one tank of diesel, let alone the wages and time lost. Ashley Furniture has horrible quality control, terrible customer communication, and does not value the time or money of its customers. I will never shop here again, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing.

I purchased a bed set from Ashley Furniture and received a headboard and frame that were completely different colors. After days of waiting for their so-called “resolution team,” I was told I had been sent the correct color despite the obvious mismatch. Days later they doubled down, telling me it was just the angle and lighting, laughable, since the pieces very clearly do not match. Even after sending several photos, they continued to deny my claim and tried to subject me to return charges.

I’ve made multiple phone calls and was met with rude agents. Sometimes I go days without an email response, and when I finally do get one, it’s nothing more than another dismissal insisting I’m wrong, despite clear evidence. The slowness and unprofessionalism in handling this issue only made the experience more frustrating. Please don’t purchase from them. If you run into any issues, Ashley Furniture will show you they couldn’t care less.

Want to post my story relating to this store so others have some knowledge going into their experience here. It's a long one but please do read. My girlfriend and I have needed a new couch for our place for a while. We looked for a while and ended up here, and low and behold we found a great mattress on sale. Our salesperson, Carl, was very nice, gave us space, gave us information, and we decided to go with the couch. It took us nearly an hour to decide but we go there. He told us about the white glove service which included assembly of the furniture and offered us a warranty. These were the only two items presented to us.

We went with the white glove delivery but declined the warranty. We were assured it would be assembled in our apartment since we said the hallway to our place was thin and assembly was necessary. Carl assured us this was fine. We paid and scheduled delivery for 2 weeks out. No problem. Well we get to delivery day and the delivery drivers bring our couch to the door already fully assembled (this was not mentioned to us in any way that it came pre-assembled). They try for like 5 minutes to get it through the door, then took pictures and gave up. They handed us off to the customer service line where we said it shouldn't have come pre assembled since we paid for delivery which included assembly.

They then told us that the only assembly included (which was never mentioned by our sales person) was the pillows being put on the couch (YES THEY THINK THAT IS ASSEMBLY) and putting the feet on. They then told us it would cost another $180 dollars (for a $700 couch) for "breakdown" service, where they take it back, disassemble the product (it shouldn't have come assembled), then bring it another day.

We told them we weren't declining service, rather they were bait and switching us and we demanded they bring it back disassembled as that is what we already paid for. We contacted the BBB for a follow up and the representative who responded said we were in fact offered the 180 dollar service in the first place from our sales rep (which we never were, again, we were offered white glove delivery and a warranty for 160, not 180). This is a straight up lie. They also tried to say we cancelled the delivery, which we never did, so again a lie (that's 2).

As of now they still have our money, the couch, and a declined delivery they said we made but never did. If we did cancel the service we should have been refunded. As of now they have not provided one service, nor the product we purchased for after withholding information from us and claiming they have offered services which they did not do until after the failed delivery where they did not properly explain assembly for that specific piece we purchased. This store and company should be ashamed of themselves and buyers must beware. Do not fall for their bait and switch tactics. Please take your money and time elsewhere as they will waste both.

I placed an online order with Ashley Furniture on July 4, 2025, for a sectional sleeper sofa and ottoman.
July 11 – Ottoman delivered no issue.
July 30 – Only one sectional piece delivered. The other was reported broken and never loaded.
August 14 – The missing piece (Marelton left-arm facing sleeper sofa, 5530510) was delivered broken.
I sent photos via text, chat, and emailed. Since then, I’ve been chasing Ashley for answers:
Aug 14 – Reported issue through multiple channels.
    Aug 19 – Told I’d be contacted within 48 hours. I wasn’t.
Aug 21 – Told replacement was approved and I’d get a call with delivery date. No call
    Aug 25 – I emailed. No response.
Sept 5 – Called. First rep said she couldn’t help since it was an online order. Transferred, then told case number closed and a new case had been opened. Put on hold so she could review the case and after some time, I was disconnected.

Called back → told the new case was closed. Put on hold again to review the case and again I was disconnected.

👉 At this point, Ashley Furniture has delivered me broken furniture, closed multiple service cases without resolution, and failed to provide any replacement.

I simply want what I paid for:
    ✅ A new, undamaged sleeper sofa (5530510)

This level of service is unacceptable. Customers deserve better. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I received an email they put in the request. I called several times as I had not heard from anyone other than an email. I was told I had to speak with the Cancellation department but they did not open until 10 Eastern time. They would not give a phone number? The corporate office number would just put through to the Philippines. No one would help in the States.

The Disclosures of the card terms, were different then what was disclosed on the website? Filing a complaint. Not of the cost affiliated with the delivery fees, and warranty cost were disclosed at signing? I had to go into my email to read. TERRIBLE COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH! IT'S A SCAM! Made me want to buy all the collections. He is very much a keeper for the store. Very much a asset to Ashley's furniture store.

Then he sent us back to Tom for the mattress. I though no I didn't want one at the time. Little bit later Tom the one in charge of the mattresses. Had me buying one. I would have never got one. As long as you all use Synchrony Bad as a credit alternative you will never get my business again. Look very closely into the bank you have chosen for your customers as a third party creditor. Now that know you all are using them, I will not be purchasing anything else from you all. They do bad business with your customer and you all need to reconsider how you establish credit with your customers. Options definitely need to be available. Because any business tied to synchrony will not get my business and I mean that.

We bought a new sofa with two recliners and a love seat with two recliners. We love the sets and the sales team, so the produce per se is not the problem. But the customer service area is just terrible! Three of the new recliners have a faulty mechanism for the headrest- it doesn't work. We called the service area and waited but nothing happened. Called a week later to find out our case had not not really been submitted, although the representative gave me a case number. The second person actually submitted it. A week later, I called to see why we had no action and was asked to get on the floor to take pictures of the serial numbers to email. I'm 78 and thought that was a bit much when a technician could handle all this easily. Well I did that and emailed them. Then still waiting. Today I received an email to check connections again before they order new motors. Still, not a real person to help or come to our home to check them out.

This is in stark contrast to a Tempur-Pedic bed I bought at Rooms To Go. It had a mechanical problem when they set it up. They sent someone out right away. The repair person could not fix it, so they replaced the bed and it's worked fine. I was impressed with their service. All was remedied in a week. I have bought Ashley furniture before this and all was okay, but I'm really disappointed in their customer service to take care of my problem with the recliner mechanism. It's been much too time-consuming for us, the buyers. They have been very buyer-unfriendly.

After a few emails and sending them photos of the issue they replied that the fabric was not a manufacturing issue. I took issue with this as the fabric was manufactured by their company. So they refused to do anything about it. They told me to get a pill comb which I had already used on the couch. In addition the cushions are badly put together. They slide, they are lumpy & are just low quality. I had to buy pads to keep them firm & non slip. I would never recommend buying furniture from Ashley Home Stores. After purchasing $23,000 worth of bedroom furniture from Ashley furniture, including their FCP 4 year Protection Plan we have had damage occur to the Simmons Beauty Rest Black Hybrid King Mattress that ran $3,099.00 itself. There is suppose to be a 4 year protection plan as well as a 10 year manufacturer defect plan. It's been 3 years since the purchase, the mattress developed 2 seam rips and a high spot in the center, the appropriate docs and photos were submitted. Ashley tells us the 4 year protection plan is only for stains but remember Ashley buyers, to get the warranty you also have to buy their comfort bundle with mattress protector for another $449.99.

At this point Ashley says it's Simmons Beauty Rests problem, and Simmons says Ashley is supposed to handle the claim for them. I've called the store, Customer Care, Simmons Customer Service, Ashley Customer Relations, and to date after at least a dozen emails and phone calls we are no closer to any resolution. I will figure out how to get satisfaction from Ashley but I highly recommend you DO NOT BUY from Ashley Homestore if you expect any warranty to be honored.

Don't let them tell you that they can get you on a delivery schedule sooner than later. Total opposite happens. When you mix in the price they charge for one love seat, one would think they could accommodate. If the thing wasn't 250 lbs, I would have just picked it up myself. Now I am still waiting for a delivery that should have happen yesterday. Typical sale though. Love seat seemed to be of good quality. Time will tell. They did lose a customer going forward. We are in the market for much more than a love seat. We will go elsewhere for the rest.

This has been one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. The salesman entered my phone number incorrectly because of auto-correct on the iPad. I immediately corrected it and even provided the right number in writing, but Ashley never bothered to update it in the system. Because of this, the delivery team kept calling the wrong number. Even the person who got those calls told them it was the wrong number, yet Ashley still failed to correct it.

Because of this incompetence, my delivery was rescheduled without my approval. My entire plan was ruined — I had to change my travel tickets and pay $600 extra because Ashley could not handle something as simple as updating a phone number. My original confirmed delivery date was August 16, and now the “latest available” date suddenly became August 20.

What makes it worse is that on August 4, I even received a text confirming that the item was available. How does something that was in stock suddenly become a “backorder”? This makes no sense and feels completely misleading. It is pure negligence and irresponsibility that a company of Ashley’s size cannot manage basic customer data or deliver on commitments. This entire situation caused me unnecessary stress, financial loss, and a ruined schedule. Ashley needs to be held accountable for this level of incompetence and failure in customer service.

In June, I went to Ashley Furniture with the intent on looking to buy an end table and sofa table to match my remodeled living room and furniture. I found a set that I liked, however I was cautious about purchasing the furniture because I was worried it didn't match. I asked the salesman if I could return it if I didn't like it. When he told me that I could I trusted his word and purchased the furniture. Two months later (August), the furniture was delivered. I told the driver I didn't like the furniture because it ultimately didn't match the furniture. The driver replied that I would have to call the store itself and they don't handle those issues.

I agreed to sign for the furniture and then called the store where I was told that all sales are final, they don't take returns, and I was misinformed by the salesman. I was even told me the policy was on the receipt. It's on me that I should have read the receipt in its entirety, but I also trusted the salesman to be honest and not to say what I want to hear so he can make a commission.

If you make a purchase at Ashley and give them you phone number and email, BE PREPARED. You will receive a barrage of emails and texts and calls as they promote the store and sales and finally try to schedule delivery. Don't believe anything the sales person says about availability and delivery. The AI (Artificial Ignorance) computer system will arrange that. The computer scheduling starts by offering deliver DAYS by text. No time range offered. The computer is very persistent at emails, texts, and phone calls to get a day selected. The caller calls from a call center in the Philippines. They talk fast with heavy accent so it is hard to understand them. They say "Dis is Maria with Ashley....' so fast you have to ask them to repeat. No Ashley Furniture, just Ashley said very fast. The phone connections garble the voices making understanding the fast and heavy accents even harder.

If you try to call Ashley Furniture, even the local store number, the call director recognizes your phone number and addresses you by name and puts you into the robot call director system with no escape. If you try to speak to a real person, you get the Philippines Call Center. The only way to get through to the local store is to use a different phone that the number they have on file.

I was so frustrated with the delivery scheduling system, I tried to arrange to pick my love seat up at the distribution center. Multiple attempts to change it from curb delivery to customer pick-up were made over 4 days but never completed. Customer pick-up is not available at the store. It was miles away in an industrial area. A store pick-up option would have been helpful. Every other furniture store I've dealt with offered store pick-up. The day before, the computer will email, text, and call to say the delivery time.

My delivery time was stated as between 8 and 11 am. If those times were not acceptable, delivery would be rescheduled. The texts started coming at 7:30 am saying the delivery would arrive at 7:43 am. They did arrive at 7:43 and were gone by 7:52. My love seat arrived in good condition which is surprising. The truck was loaded to the ceiling. As they opened the roll-up door, furniture was falling out. The delivery driver was great. The telephone, text, and emails are unrelenting. There is no access to an American English speaking customer service agent on a clear phone line.

Title: Worst Furniture Experience – Stay Far Away from Ashley Fairfield. I normally don’t write reviews, but this one needs to be said. I purchased a complete living room set and additional items from Ashley Furniture in Fairfield, spending over $3,000. It’s been just 4 and a half months, and the furniture is already falling apart. The fabric is curling up like a bowl, and the quality is unbelievably poor — like something you’d expect after years of use, not just a few months.

This isn’t just about the defective product — it’s about how Ashley Furniture completely failed to take any responsibility. I called customer service, and the first thing they asked was: “Did you buy the extended warranty?” That says everything about this company. If you didn’t, they basically tell you “Too bad, we’re not helping you.” I spoke with a representative who claimed they would talk to a manager. One of the managers, Jane, didn’t even have the courtesy or professionalism to get on the phone and speak with me directly. I reached out multiple times — zero effort, zero care. It’s a shame. I’m currently building a brand new house and furnishing it from top to bottom — but Ashley just lost a long-term customer. Everything looks nice in the store, but after a couple of months, it all falls apart. That’s what I call a scam.

For comparison, years ago I had an issue with a dining table from Raymour & Flanigan. After 9 months of use, it started peeling. I called their customer service — they didn’t ask questions. They came, picked it up, and replaced it with a brand new one. That’s a company that stands behind its products. Ashley, on the other hand, deserves zero stars. Their products are cheap in quality, their customer service is careless, and their management hides behind reps instead of standing up and addressing issues. If you’re thinking of buying from Ashley — don’t. Take your money to a company that actually cares about its customers and the quality of what they sell. I regret every dollar I spent there, and I hope this review helps others avoid the same mistake. Shame on this company.

I am writing this review to warn others not to waste their money on Ashley Furniture’s so-called Protection Plan. From the beginning, my dining chairs were wobbly and poorly assembled. I had a technician come out to tighten them, but the screws kept loosening again and again. Eventually, while sitting on one of the chairs, the wood cracked and broke because it was never properly secured. I filed a warranty claim, thinking this is exactly what the plan is for, but Ashley denied it. They said structural issues like wobbling, cracking, and loose screws are not covered. That is absurd. If a chair is defective and unstable from the start, how is that not covered under a warranty?

Here is the message they sent me after denying my claim: “Structural failures which include but are not limited to structural cracking, wobbling, loose screws, and metal breakage are not covered under your protection plan and are therefore deemed non-warranted.” Basically, they sold me a warranty that excludes the most common types of damage that happen to their low quality furniture. To make matters worse, they told me the great news is they know a technician who can fix it if I pay out of pocket. How convenient. I believe Ashley Furniture knows their products have these issues, which is why they carefully word their warranty to avoid taking responsibility. This warranty is a scam, and buying it is a complete waste of money. Do not fall for it like I did.

I initially had a great experience at The Ashley Store in Sanford, FL, thanks to the excellent customer service. They made the process of shopping for and buying a sofa enjoyable. However, when a family emergency arose a few weeks later, I needed to cancel my order. Despite my request, I have been met with significant resistance; they refuse to cancel the order and keep insisting on providing delivery dates. This is unacceptable. I need this order canceled immediately and a full refund issued so I can address my urgent situation. While I had planned to purchase the sofa again once my circumstances improved, this experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with their customer service. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I purchase a Tempurpedic mattress at the Ashley Homestore in Plano, Texas. The sales reps were kind and professional however, they were deceptive in selling me the mattress under false pretenses on the return policy. Not only did they mislead me on the return policy but also on explaining the credit limit policy (Synchrony). To further explain, Ashley has a no return policy on all furniture that is delivered (something the sales staff need to make every customer well aware of), however, on a Tempurpedic mattresses, they have 90-night sleep trial. If you are not completely satisfied with the mattress you can exchange for any other mattress that is equal or more in value. You just have to pay the difference. Well, since I bought the top of the line mattress, I could not return or exchange anything. Even though the sales reps repeatedly stated I could, after testing it for 30-days. Well, that was a complete lie.

Ashley was offering a financial promotion of 5 years of no interests on the purchase. So I decided to take advantage of the promotion. However, little did I know that I would be paying for the that promotion after looking over my transaction. Not only was that a shocker, but the credit limit was also amended by the reps without my consent. It wasn't until I received a letter in the mail about 3 days later stating that I had exceeded the credit limit. These practices are not right and the consumer(s) should be made aware beforehand, so that a conscience decision can be made at the point of sale. I was mislead and after speaking with the sales reps., the manager to my local Ashley store (Houston), the assistant manager, and the manager in Plano, TX, I am appalled as to why they can get away with such practices.

This is specific to the Fremont, Ca store. I went in to the store looking for a sleeper sofa and left empty handed on purpose. Our sales associate was condescending and rude from the moment he swooped us up from the door. The sales associates are given commission which explains why on purchases which is why he was pushy in getting us to purchase an item. We ended up leaving the store due to his demeanor but then coming back after lunch because I needed the couch and can get over some poor service as long as I get what I needed. Again met with a same flippant, condescending attitude and the sales associate would not honor the 25% off that was listed on the couch stating that it didn't apply, that I would need to purchase more items. I read through all the details on the 25% offer and no where did the paperwork say I had to purchase more than one item to get the 25% but he kept saying I did.

I went to ask the manager who said he would honor the 25% on the couch, went back to salesperson who told me to first in all my purchase information and then he would go the manager and see what he could do. The manager had already ok'd the 25% but the salesperson kept insisting I put in all information on the purchase page at the store and then he would go see "what the manager could give me". At this point I walked out. What a joke. I will never walk into Ashley Furniture again. How difficult would it have been for the salesman to show me the sleeper sofas and honor the 25% off instead of such a horrible experience and I would have left with a sleeper sofa and also an ottoman.

We bought a kitchen table from Ashley mid-May. The first week we had it, I set an empty QT plastic cup on it for an hour. When I picked it up, a blemish was on the table. I called and filed a claim with Extend. Extend refused to pay it stating "manufacturer warranty". Went to Ashley store where I purchased it and they claimed it was Extend's issue. This went on for 2 months. Neither company wanted to take responsibility. Open ended conversations with both parties where they ping-ponged the responsibility back and forth.

Ashley sent a technician out and we were told it was our fault for not using a coaster (on a kitchen table) and he also failed to send report to Extend. After 2 months, our table looked like a war zone. The coasters we were instructed to use also left concentric rings on the table and the placemats the technician told us to use also discolored the table. Issue was finally resolved after multiple visits to Ashley and 25+ phone calls (and I'm not exaggerating).

Worst place to buy furniture from, hands down, nobody is worse than this place. We ordered furniture for our basement 5 years ago, spent over $6000. Was given a delivery date of 2 weeks and we were fine with that. Furniture took over 5 months, yes you read that right, 5 months to arrive! We were told there was an issue at the warehouse. Asked what the issue was exactly, never given an answer. Was told a couple months in that two pieces of our sectional were in, there are 5 pieces altogether, did we want them? No, I want the whole couch, not 2 pieces. Please ship it all together. Fast forward to this year, on July 17th, 2025 we went into the store to look at 4 simple bar stools. Found the ones we liked and thought that must have been a "one off" before and lets give them another opportunity. Told the salesman about our last experience and that we needed these stools sooner than later.

Bought the stools and was told by "Hunter" they were in stock at the warehouse and will be here next week, possibly even by July 21st, 2025, perfect. Received a call the next week saying they will be in July 31st, 2025. Little longer than we wanted to wait but so be it. Today is July 31st and I called to come pick up our stools. Wouldn't you know it, one is at the store the other 3 are delayed and should be here within 8 weeks! Unbelievable. Called Hunter and was told there is a delay at the warehouse, no kidding. Please tell me, what specifically is the delay? No answer.

All I can deduce from this is that they use this "delay at the warehouse" as a common reason for delays. My own fault for giving this place a second chance, but really its 4 simple bar stools, how could you screw this up? I am heading in today to get a full refund and distancing myself as far away from this "business" as possible. I should have learned from my past mistake and I should have also read the reviews before purchasing. I will not make that mistake again. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY AS AWAY FROM THIS PLACE WHEN SHOPPING FOR FURNITURE!!!! They have no idea what they are doing. If I could give zero stars I would.

It was nothing like the chair I tested in the store. I tried to give it some time to see if the kinks would work themselves out but the issues only got worse! The chair is impossible to lay back in as it shoots up with the slightest of movements, the feather pillows that serve as the arms, lose their shape quickly, it clicks, creaks, and squeaks incessantly despite our efforts to lubricate it. We had paid for the warranty which was a joke!! Apparently the warranty doesn’t cover shoddy craftsmanship—says so specifically in the fine print that they fail to tell you when purchasing. So, needless to say, we are stuck with a chair I despise and we will NEVER shop at another Ashley Furniture store again.

My husband and I purchased a bed set from Ashley Home Furniture about a year ago. We specifically chose what was marketed as the highest tier of furniture quality available—the most expensive and supposedly most durable option Ashley sells. We were excited to invest in something we believed would be long-lasting and high quality.

But within just 2–3 months of normal use, we noticed that the wood veneer on the bed frame had started chipping and peeling—without any damage or misuse on our part. It was immediately clear that this was a manufacturer defect. Even more shocking was discovering that what we thought would be solid wood construction was actually a very thin veneer over a lower-grade material. For the premium price point and Ashley’s claims of quality, we expected much more. This only reinforced how far Ashley’s product standards seem to have fallen.

We reached out to Ashley’s customer service team expecting them to stand behind their product. Instead, we spent nearly six months going back and forth—waiting for updates, following up repeatedly—only to finally be told that our warranty claim was denied. The reason? They said the issue had to be reported within 72 hours of delivery. While we were informed of this policy for delivery-related damage, our claim was not about delivery damage—it was about a clear manufacturer defect that only became visible with time. It’s disappointing that Ashley refuses to distinguish between the two or honor their product warranty in cases like this.

We’re incredibly disappointed—not only in the subpar quality of the furniture but in the lack of accountability and customer support from Ashley. For a company of this size to dismiss a long-time customer with a legitimate concern is truly disheartening. Bottom line: don’t be misled by the price tag or the “premium” label. Our experience shows that even Ashley’s top-tier furniture may be made with cheap materials—and their warranty process is designed to protect the company, not the customer. We won’t be shopping here again, and we urge others to think twice before making a purchase.

    - The first delivery included a cracked headboard, which the delivery team tried to dismiss saying they'd send someone to "fix and patch it up".
    - The second delivery damaged my custom front door when bringing in the headboard, left trash on my property, and was missing the side board, so the bed couldn’t be assembled.
    - I’ve had to purchase and assemble a temporary bed to accommodate elderly family members.
    - Ashley’s customer service has been slow, unresponsive, and inaccurate.

    - Now they’ve scheduled a third delivery nearly two months later, and I’ve lost all confidence in their ability to deliver a complete, undamaged product.

However, when my furniture was delivered on July 19, I noticed after the delivery team left that the bed had no latches underneath, which causes it to sink to the floor. I immediately contacted the delivery person and my salesperson, who advised me to call customer service. I did so and was told someone would follow up within 24 hours, yet no one did. I called again and explained that my son can’t sleep in the bed because it’s not properly supported, but I still received no response. I also reached back out to my salesperson but have heard nothing since.

Since then, I have made about four additional attempts to resolve this issue, including sending emails, but have not received any answers. Yesterday, I called again and asked them to pick up the bedroom set so I could purchase a safe replacement for my son. They told me to wait an hour, but now another 24 hours have passed without any update or resolution. This experience has been extremely unprofessional and disappointing, especially after spending a total of $7,000 at this store. Now I’m stuck at home with a bedroom set that is unsafe and unusable for my child. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Ashley’s Furniture to anyone.

I made the mistake of getting pre-qualified, selecting a couch to buy, and then when I got home, realized it wouldn't fit where it was needed, and I cancelled the order within a few hours of leaving the store. That was May 30, 2025. The store cancelled the delivery but not the charge on the Synchrony credit card. It's now July 20, 2025 and I've been watching the account on the credit card to see that the pending charge comes off. It still hasn't.

Today, I called Synchrony to ask them to remove the pending $2500+ charge to the credit card. They said I had to speak with the store to get the charge removed. When I called the store, they said they can't remove the charge and I'd have to speak with someone on their "Customer Service" line - which is anything but serving the customer. That line is an AI that refuses to put you through to an agent without speaking the right "coded language" (not literally but that's what it felt like trying to get a human being to discuss this issue with) and hours later, I finally get a woman on the line who tells me that I have to speak with Synchrony to get the pending charge removed but she'd file a case # and check with the store about it.

I will get this charge removed. I never received anything from Ashley - nothing left their warehouse - no delivery was ever attempted because I'd cancelled the order before it was ever fully processed. This is nuts. I'm spending hours to remove a pending charge for items I cancelled almost immediately. As soon as this pending charge is removed - this Synchrony account will be closed and I will think long and hard before ever choosing Ashley to buy from in the future. Horrible experience from start to finish!

I woke in severe pain and left-sided numbness after a few hours of sleeping on the 15" mattress and king-size zero-gravity frame they recommended. (There was no weight on the other side to counterbalance my weight.) It took me disputing the charge and three months to finally get the Nectar 12" mattress and XL twin zero-gravity bases I went in for.

The new mattresses are $1,000 cheaper, and Ashley's refuses to refund that amount to my credit card used to purchase the items. Charles Q - Customer Experience Specialist says, "Your new order exceeded the credit amount approved. You used the addition credit for the returned mattress, which was to be refunded to you for your new order." If anyone can explain that, I would appreciate it.

Meanwhile, I intend to file with small claims court for the amount not refunded and possibly throw in some for pain and suffering. Now that I have the bed I initially wanted to purchase, my pain has decreased considerably, and I am sleeping much better. It is inexcusable that they made me suffer for three months. Side note: The salesperson said there is no fee for using the 0% interest for five years through Synchrony Bank. There is a $75 fee, and Synchrony won't have your back if you have a problem. Absolutely appalling experience with Ashley furniture. DO NOT GET DELIVERY SERVICE. I purchased my sectional couch from Ashley Furniture on July 6, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri. At day of purchase we were scheduled to receive the couch on July 16. On Tuesday the 8th, they reached out to see if I wanted an earlier delivery date. It was then scheduled to be delivered Thursday July 10 between 330-630 (after changing the delivery time 3 times prior.)

After taking off work and waiting all day, I get a phone call at 1045 PM, stating that the couch can no longer be delivered because the driver had injured his hand at the previous stop and he was on his way to the hospital. (YES, they were still driving and doing deliveries at this time because I had the driver's location the entire day.) They then proceeded to tell me that I would have to be moved to at least 24-48 hours for the next delivery because my item had to go all the way back to the warehouse for reprocessing. We should have been the 1st stop that next morning. Within the next 2 days I was told multiple different stories such as: it couldn’t be delivered til at least the 15th and my couch had not been delivered by the manufacturer to the store, that the couch wasn’t in stock and they were unable to determine a delivery date. They then scheduled the delivery for July 15th between 1115-215.

The driver calls me at 155 pm saying he has arrived at an apartment address across town. I informed him that that it was not the right location and verified my correct address. He reassured me that he had the correct address and would be here in 10 minutes. At 230pm I called the driver back asking where they were and he said “uhhhh yeah we have to go back to the warehouse.” I asked how long until they would be here and he said another 30 minutes.

As I am waiting for them to arrive I check the tracker and they are at another home address delivering furniture. When I texted the number that had been giving me updates “Jenny” just kept sending me a link or the driver's location and avoiding my questions. I would never recommend Ashley furniture to deliver your furniture. The driver even mentioned how horrible they are, and how Ashley works them late into the evening. This has been a complete nightmare with the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I am not one to write a review, but I could not let this go unseen. I will say once the delivery team arrived they were efficient and fast.

I need to start off by saying that the customer service in store is great in both the Hamilton Mountain store and the Brantford store. When buying they were accommodating and worked with us on a price as we bought multiple items for a significant amount of money. In total we bought a large couch, a recliner couch and a large dining table with 6 chairs. We also paid for the ‘white glove delivery service’ ($269.99), the 5 year protection plan ($999.99) and with taxes the total came to just shy of $9,000. By far the most I have ever spent on furniture.

Paying $269.99 for what Ashley refers to as a “white glove delivery service”, we expected the delivery to be a professional smooth experience. We couldn’t have been more wrong. 2 men arrived and began bringing our new furniture inside without a care for our property. We have just spent $19,000 dollars on new wooden flooring. They dragged furniture across our floor and were not in anyway careful with the furniture they were delivering. Upon taking half of the couch out the truck they realized that it had a huge tear down the side. So we currently have half a couch in our living room. After they had left my partner noticed that they had damaged the dining room table, the leaf to the table had been damaged when being manufactured and one of the dining room chairs appeared worn in 2 places.

My partner contacted customer service and was told that to submit a claim you have to use their text service which is basically speaking to an AI robot and uploading pictures so it can be dealt with at a later date. The text service only allows you to upload 1 picture for each claim which does not work when you have multiple issues to report. Their customer service department may as well be non existent. So as of right now we have a ‘technician’ coming out to do glue and touch up on a brand new dining room table that was damaged during the delivery process. When we complained about that we were told “this is the process”. I can assure you that we aren’t going to accept this.

The other half of the couch was supposed to be delivered tomorrow but we received a text this morning stating the delivery date has been pushed back to August 5th. My partner called them and was informed that once again the sofa was found damaged in the warehouse. We now have serious concerns about the quality of the products we have purchased.

In conclusion, the whole process has been a nightmare. Numerous phone calls, numerous trips to stores and nothing has been done to try to improve the situation. The fact Ashley think it’s appropriate to ‘touch up’ furniture that was delivered damage is beyond a joke. After they have your money, they no longer care about your experience. We’ve had no apology and no solution to the issues raised. Ashley has their way and there is nothing you can do about it. I wish someone would have warned us about Ashley before we spent a large amount of money with them. My advice would be stay well away from Ashley, which is such a shame because the team inside the stores are great and even they have nothing good to say about the customer service department and the delivery department.

The policy clearly states they price match but all they did was pass me back and forth, so the 3 days return policy is exhausted, and the Amazon sale was over. My husband and I went to the Ashley in Fort Worth on City Lake Blvd and were treated so poorly that we may never return to an Ashley store again. When we walked in the door, a woman greeted us and began to explain things to us. We knew exactly what we needed and didn't need any help. We began to walk away, and she followed us and continued to talk to us. I turned around and told her "really, we don't need any help, but thanks." As we continued to walk, she continued to follow and talk! I turned around again and asked her to please let us let her know if we need help with anything. SHE STILL CONTINUED TO TALK OVER ME.

I told her one final time to back off and let us be. We walked away and she immediately talked to her manager who then found us and he basically made us feel as though we did something wrong. He said she was one of his best associates and she meant well. OH! Backing up here...When I was talking to the original girl that greeted us, I said, "we can leave. You want to lose a sale over this, really?" She said, and I quote... "Yes. You can leave if you want." Seriously? Y'all are doing so well financially that you park people at the door to harass them the second they walk in?

People aren't free to just browse the store without having to listen to the pitch every time they walk in the door? Because the sales method has been getting more aggressive each time we visit that location. I have spent a load of money at that very store for years. I'm feeling pretty confident that you lost a customer permanently. It was bad enough that the first person at the door was rude, but to then complain to the manager about us? I didn't do anything wrong! I was there to make purchases. YES PLURAL. Whenever a new customer walks in the door, it should be fine for them to say they don't need help and the associate just back off and let the customer be.

First off they won’t exchange or take returns on furniture once it’s inside your home. Which the salesperson Wajid Hussain (Schaumburg location) never explained to us. I’ve purchased $4,000 mattresses and they were willing to accept an exchange after a 100 days. Than this scam artist salesman sold us a rug that was out of stock with no idea of it restocking just so he can get a sale. It’s been over a month now and still no rug and at this point we just want to cancel this order and even just that we’re still trying to get a resolution from Ashley.

My wife has called over and over and every time they give us a different case number. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had. Than on the day of the delivery I removed my front door to make the delivery easier and set the door leaning in my front porch and the delivery guys were being careless and knocked my door over and broke my glass on my window and damaged my door so now it’s really hard to lock my door.

When I asked the delivery guys how they were going to handle this they told us my boss will call you in ten minutes and asked us to sign for the delivery. I took it for granted that a big retail store like Ashley will do right by their customers. NOPE!! Another scam artist supposedly when we signed for the delivery we signed a damage waiver which the delivery guys who barely spoke any English didn’t explain to us at all. We have been fighting with them on a damage claim and they just emailed us a over a month later saying our case is closed because we signed a waiver. Absolutely the worst customer service. I purchased a reclining sectional from Ashley Furniture in Salt Lake City, UT in July 2021, along with a 5-year extended warranty. The couch is rarely used (it's in our downstairs area), but on April 28, 2024, someone reclined and the back of the couch snapped and the frame broke in half. I immediately filed a warranty claim on April 29, emailing photos and a copy of the invoice to **, the third-party warranty provider Ashley contracts with. But from the start, nobody took ownership of the issue.

The warranty company repeatedly claimed Ashley submitted the warranty incorrectly, and said Ashley needed to fix it. When I contacted Ashley, the store manager Tiffany said she didn't see a problem and offered no help. For months, I was stuck in the middle — Both companies pointing fingers at each other, while my couch remained broken. I followed up every few weeks, kept detailed records, and did everything I could to get this resolved. Then, nearly a year later, Ashley suddenly began to claim my warranty was void because I removed one piece of the original order — which has nothing to do with the couch and is completely false.

They claimed that when I cancelled the item, I cancelled the warranty which I adamantly disagree with because I would never do that. I bought the warranty in the first place so that I’d be covered. That excuse was never mentioned until months into the process, and frankly feels like a way for Ashley Furniture to avoid taking responsibility. Even after a manager said she’d “check with her boss” and follow up with me, I never heard back. After more than a year of being ignored, misled, and blamed for their mistake, I can say this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. Ashley Furniture failed to honor the warranty, failed to advocate for the customer, and passed me back and forth between themselves and their contractor hoping that I would give up. ⚠️ I would not recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone.

They did not have the couch in stock that I wanted but agreed to show me a couch that was made exactly like mine. The extra firm cushions the strong seating so there's no sagging was all what I was looking for. Unfortunately that was for all the good stuff. The price of $599 ended up being almost $1,000 after all was said and done. The promise to deliver my couch within 2 weeks did not happen nor did I receive a call after calling them. hey said they had not received the couch yet from the manufacturer. That's what I learned there were no refunds and the most I could hope for would be to pick a different couch. Two weeks later still no couch and no phone call.

After another 2 weeks I finally got the phone call and my couch was delivered on Saturday. After installation is set up I was happy with my couch for almost a week. The middle started sagging just like my old 10-year-old couch which is what I replaced. I removed the cushioning and found that they were not extra thick and firm as I suspected from the beginning. I stood on the bottom of the couch under the cushion like the salesperson did and her spiked high heels and found that I sank unlike her or her like high heels in the other couch which was in the showroom. What I bought I thought was a diamond what they delivered to me was a cheap zirconia.

From the time I agreed to buy until now My satisfaction is overwhelmingly unhappy. I feel duped. I feel ripped off and there's not a darn thing I can do about it. I would recommend never even pulling onto the parking lot of an Ashley furniture store let alone walking inside. Unsatisfied is not how I would describe my feeling about my purchase. It is less than that. Their cons and I can't explain it any other way. Buyer beware. Go somewhere else.

I'm an idiot I bought a bedroom suite from them 2 years ago and 2 drawers still don't open. I must be a complete idiot to have went back. I hope they're reading this because I'm taking a razor blade knife and go to the store and cut a few sofas up. Let's see who gets the last laugh. I'll send some pictures, so you know it's me. After reading your reviews it's time people fight back and tear your stuff up.

I ordered a loveseat and ottoman. After arriving home, I noticed they had ordered a sofa instead. I immediately called the store back, and was told they would change the ticket and refund the difference. NEVER did they refund the difference between a loveseat and sofa. Then, I received a text that only a loveseat was going to be delivered. I guess they conveniently forgot I paid 400 for a loveseat. At that point, I just wanted to stop the transaction and receive a refund. Good luck with that. I had not received the furniture and it would have been simple to cancel the delivery and refund my credit card. It was an a nightmare. Everyone pawns you off to someone else, and now my credit card company has filed a grievance. Worst customer service ever! Don't go!

We purchased a king mattress and elevation foundation back in February and finally had our problems resolved in May, but only after Ashley’s discovered that we put a hold on our credit card purchase! We spent hours upon hours talking to their resolution team and got lots of different answers from lots of different employees! Will never shop there again! Also, Ashley’s has a no return policy that is hidden from customers. Went into O’Fallon store to talk with manager who pretty much said too bad for you, not my problem!! Our problem started because Ashley’s had their mattresses labeled wrong and sent the wrong foundation. When they agreed to send elevation kit their employees had no idea how to install it, took 2 hours to complete.

They use a delivery company that's not associated with Ashley Furniture, so the delivery people don't care about your Ashley purchase.

I purchased 4 white counter night barstools from Ashley Furniture. We decided to pick them up from the warehouse because we’re having a party & wanted to have our home a little more finished before the party. 2 days later we were able to pick them up. My husband had to take some time off work & it took a while for him to get into the warehouse for our stools but he got them, got home to put them together & we discovered that they gave 2 of the stools we ordered & 2 similar stools (they are brown). I immediately reached out to the sales guy that said if anything was wrong he’d take care of me, when I reached out he told me to text the number I used to schedule pickup.

I have had to talk to 3 different people or maybe it’s AI but after spending a full day texting back & forth & sending the pics they finally told me that they would exchange the stools but they will not exchange them until next week! They say they’re not available till next week yet they were available (or supposed to be available) Tuesday when they gave us the wrong stools. The sales guy stopped responding & there is no actual person to speak with! Now I’ll have 2 boxes sitting around during our party & only 2 stools for guests to share.

I understand mix ups happen but if we only have 72 hours to report an issue why don’t Ashley have 72 hours to make it right? I needed more furniture & was planning on buying from Ashley however I feel I’ve been given the run around (they never got back to me when they said they would, I had to keep initiating the text) and I feel like if they take their time to correct a mistake & make me feel like I no longer matter then I will not spend anymore money with Ashley. We are really worried that come next week they will potentially extend our exchange or possibly even not exchange them at all because by that time it will be past the 72 hours & since we can’t get a call with an actual person who knows if they’ll follow through with their word!! I would not suggest any of my family or friends to buy from Ashley Furniture because if something goes wrong, it may not be corrected & there’s the potential of being stuck with a product I did not buy!

Went back to the store 3 days later (first chance I had) and was given a card to call about the warranty and the man who gave me the card said "They may say there's nothing they can do about it because I didn't report the issue within a 72 hours"!!! We bought a sofa and loveseat from Ashley Furniture in October, 2020. The love seat had very light use. We used the sofa as our main seating area. The loveseat started to be used more in January, 2025. All of the sudden every time we sat on it we would hear a noise. It never occurred to us that the frame was breaking and falling apart every time we sat on it until we felt it give way, and break in two. We were in shock as everything seemed to be in perfect condition. We contacted Ashley customer service and sent pictures of the broken wood and other areas it was starting to go. We also sent a full picture to show how well the outside of the loveseat was to prove this was not due to misuse.

They responded by saying the frame in only guaranteed for 5 years and they will only replace the wood pieces that broke and that we have to pay for a technician to fix it ourselves. They also said the loveseat is now discontinued and I'm basically S.O.L. I have had other furniture never ever in my 60 + years has a frame broke, never mind into pieces and the fact that they want to charge us for the repair in ridicules. DO NOT BUY anything from here, go somewhere else and ask about frame warranty. We were under the impression when we bought it there was a lifetime warranty on the frame. Now there are saying No and will only supply the wood. Absolutely absurd. This is unacceptable from a furniture chain like this. The loveseat cannot be used as it is a danger with wood pieces sticking out.

So I’m returning an item and still basically paying for the item that I don’t have. I don’t believe that’s good customer service. I was honest regarding why I was returning them, when I could’ve said it was damaged and sent it back that way. I expressed this to the representative. They basically told me “oh well that’s that”. I then received a text update pushing the date to mid-June. It’s now the end of June, and I’ve been told the new estimated arrival is sometime in July. After finally reaching a customer service manager, I was informed that the pillows are out of stock. Seriously?

Instead of resolving the original issue, I was offered store credit toward a sleeper sofa. Am I supposed to go through this same headache all over again? If it’s taken four months (and counting) to receive two small pillows, I can only imagine the delay for an entirely new piece of furniture. I’ve tried calling the store multiple times, but after sitting on hold for far too long, the line disconnects with a message saying no one is available. I was so excited to purchase the Maggie sofa and ottoman and another rocker/recliner. The items were delivered to our condo on a Thursday and the two delivery guys absolutely refused to even attempt to get them up the outer stairway. They stood the sofa up on it's END and said, "See, it won't fit". My husband even tried to tell them if they turn it on the side, it would fit and he even offered to help. They got agitated and again said, "It won't fit".

We were furious and told them to just put them back on the truck and return to the store. The next morning, we went to the Clearwater Florida store to complain. All they offered was a replacement sofa and to try again. We were upset at that point and just asked for a refund of the total amount. They told us we'd have to call customer service which I did. And guess what....they said we'd have to wait 7-1o days for a refund. UNACCEPTABLE!!!! We are still without living room furniture as we wait for a refund so we can go somewhere else to purchase. Do yourself a favor and don’t shop here! And certainly don’t buy their extended warranty. I feel like I have been completely taken by these people. Buyer beware! How can you give less than one star? I really wish there was a way! They don’t deserve even one star. I ordered a couch and two recliners on March 31. The furniture has immersive sound features. We had them delivered on April 10. The couch and one of the recliners work fine. But the second recliner is defective. And since day one it hasn’t worked. There is a port in the back of the chair where you plug in your immersive sound feature. On one of the recliners there is a small pin in the port that is bent and can’t be straightened. It is impossible to plug it into the TV sound. We did not learn this on delivery day because we didn’t have our new TV yet. We didn’t hook it up until the following weekend.

On the 14th I texted my sales guy to let him know of the issue. Unfortunately, you only have three days to tell them if there’s anything wrong. We didn’t know of the issue till day four. I did agree to pay a ridiculous price for a warranty and the issue was covered. Unfortunately, despite numerous attempts to contact the service department, they did not call me until April 21 to set a service appointment. At that point, the lady said the soonest they could get someone out to my home was 5 weeks later on May 24. The purpose of these appointments is that they determine if they will replace your furniture or repair it in your home.

In my case, they determined that they could repair it in my home. But they did not have the part. I told them exactly what was wrong with when I called them in the first place and offered to send pictures. They should’ve known they need a new port, its not a puzzle, especially if they’re waiting so long to come out. It felt like they should’ve had one on hand. But I was trying to be patient with them. The guy said someone would call me back when they got his “report”. It is now June 20 and my chair still has no sound and never has worked.. I still have no part. I called and pretty much begged them for the name of the part manufacturer so I could just take care of it on my own and leave them out of it. I wanted to call the manufacturer or get the part and call Geek Squad or handy to come out and put the part in for me.

All they would tell me is that the vendor is M013. I said that sounds like your internal vendor number and not a company name. There’s no company called that. And she said yes that’s a vendor number. I can I please have the vendor name. She said I just told you it’s M103. She was really snotty. She told me that she already explained to me that it wasn’t coming until 2 to 4 weeks. And I said it’s going to be four weeks on Thursday and she said. Not in business days. And I said well there’s five business days in a week and you said 3 to 4 weeks. She said no it’s business days. You don’t understand what business days are.

I said how would you translate 2 to 4 weeks into business days then? She just kept talking circular like that and not making any sense. I never raised my voice to her but she said I am not going to listen to this anymore. Then she hung up. So I guess that’s the end of my story. I need to order furniture for three more rooms and you can believe it’s not coming from Ashley **! I’ve just basically been ripped off for over $2000 for a recliner that has never worked and a worthless warranty.. Lessons learned the hard way I guess. Don’t shop here. They don’t care.

I am writing this review not just as a customer, but as a deeply shaken and humiliated individual. What was meant to be an exciting day of picking out furniture for our new home turned into a nightmare that left my entire family—especially my young children—traumatized. On June 16th, we visited the Ashley Furniture store on Miramar Road in San Diego. The store was completely empty—there wasn’t a single other customer in sight. We walked around for about 10–15 minutes and quickly identified three items we wanted to purchase: two chairs and a table. We approached a salesperson named Momo and informed him of our decision. From the start, he seemed visibly displeased that we were only purchasing a few items, despite the fact that we were just getting started with furnishing our entire home. Nevertheless, we proceeded with the transaction.

When we reached the cashier and I began filling out my information, I politely asked Momo not to add me to any marketing lists—a simple, common-sense request. At that moment, something completely unprovoked and disturbing happened. Momo suddenly snapped. He began yelling and screaming at me in front of my wife and children, claiming I was the most “difficult customer” he had ever dealt with. I was stunned—I hadn’t even spoken to him much before this moment, let alone said or done anything inappropriate. The entire encounter up until then had been quick, polite, and uneventful. The verbal aggression was so intense, loud, and public that my children were visibly shaken and began crying. My family and I were publicly humiliated and emotionally distressed in a way that I never imagined possible while shopping for furniture.

I immediately asked to speak to the manager, who shockingly admitted that this was not the first time customers had complained about this same salesperson. Why is someone with a known pattern of abusive behavior still employed in a customer-facing role? Why has Ashley Furniture failed to act? Even more disturbing, I cannot shake the feeling that this outburst was rooted in discrimination—I was treated with inexplicable hostility and disrespect, and I firmly believe that my race or background played a role in how I was spoken to and treated.

We left the store not only empty-handed, but deeply rattled. Since that incident, my children have been having nightmares, and my family continues to relive the trauma of that day. We were verbally attacked, publicly shamed, and emotionally scarred—all for trying to buy a few pieces of furniture. I am currently consulting with legal counsel and intend to pursue a lawsuit against Ashley Furniture for emotional distress, public humiliation, and potential discrimination. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and Ashley must be held accountable for the toxic environment they allow in their stores. To any potential customers reading this: beware. This is not just about poor customer service—this is about basic human decency. And Ashley Furniture, at least on Miramar Road, has failed us all.

The entire process was filled with poor communication and unacceptable customer service. The administrative office made an error and refunded the wrong credit card. When we brought this to the attention of Deka, the manager on duty, she did absolutely nothing — no apology, no acknowledgment, no effort to correct the mistake. Completely dismissive and unprofessional. She actually laughed when we mentioned the issue.

On top of that, the delivery coordination was a mess. After the store emailed us to schedule delivery, we promptly replied on May 27. Despite sending three follow-up emails, we received zero updates until I finally had to call the customer care line on June 9. To make matters worse, once I finally reached someone, they pushed the delivery date even further out. This has been one of the most frustrating and poorly handled customer experiences I've had. I will absolutely not be returning to Ashley Furniture and strongly caution others. The only bright light of the experience was Asha - she listened to our needs when we were exploring which couches we were considering and was patient and pleasant.

I would like to first start out saying that my salesman, Al was absolutely amazing. He did everything in his power to make my shopping experience good. With that said, I will now tell my shopping experience. My girlfriend and I went to the store in Southaven MS, where I had previously bought two different living room sets. We looked around for a new recliner for myself, just having a major back surgery, I needed one that had more support. I ultimately found one that I ended up buying, but I was quoted the price for it, and then we went and looked at an adjustable bed base, which I also ended up buying. When we set down to do the paperwork I was informed that the price had been changed, while we were shopping, and now it’s $100 dollars more.

I was also informed that because I had purchased an extended warranty on my previous living room sets, and had not filed a claim on it that I would be able to apply the price of it on my recliner. Now the interesting part, Al explained to us that he would have to write up rhetorical recliner as a lay a way, and once he was told by their AR department that I had not filed a claim that then he would be able to finish the paperwork. So needless to say I couldn’t get both pieces delivered at the same time and that I would have to come back to the store to sign the paperwork for the recliner. I wasn’t very happy with that since again I was suffering from my back surgery, but I understood he was just doing his job.

I went back a couple of days later and signed the paperwork for my recliner and was informed that the delivery truck was full now for the day we had the bed base set to be delivered, and that I would have to pay for another delivery fee on top of what I had already paid for the bed base. The delivery fee for the bed base was $99 dollars and the delivery fee for the recliner was $180 dollars, which made no sense to me. Both deliveries were made okay, and the following day I reached out to their customer service department to see what they could do to compensate me for the extra $100 dollars and the extra delivery fee.

After spending almost 30 minutes on the line I was told all they could do is offer me a $75 dollar credit for the delivery fee.. So I urge anyone shopping at any of their stores to make sure you know this before you go. I will be closing my Ashley’s credit card and will NEVER step foot in their store again. I just hope and pray I don’t have anything go wrong with either one of the items I bought. Thanks!!

Absolutely appalling experience with Ashley Furniture – avoid at all costs. I purchased a couch from Ashley Furniture in Toms River, NJ on November 15, 2024, along with their 5-year ProtectAll extended protection plan. Less than a year later, in fact -ONLY 6 MONTHS LATER, the couch developed serious issues with the reclining mechanism and pinching—clear signs of a manufacturing defect and safety concern.

I reached out on June 1, 2025, to begin a warranty claim and was immediately bounced back and forth between Ashley Furniture and ProtectAll. I followed up again on June 2 and June 3, during business hours, and still couldn’t get a straight answer from either party aside from "we made note and someone will call you back." But no word over WHO was responsible. On June 11, Ashley informed me it would take over six weeks just to get the part needed for repair and another month after that to schedule a technician. A 10+ week delay is absolutely unacceptable for a couch under warranty.

On June 12, I contacted the Toms River location directly, and while I was told a regional manager would contact me over the weekend, what I got instead was a call on June 13 from a rude customer service supervisor telling me Ashley Furniture no longer wants to work with me regarding this issue—despite the warranty still being active and the defect clearly falling under its terms.

This company has shown zero accountability, offers horrendous customer service, and refuses to honor their warranty. I’ve since filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am pursuing further action. I paid good money for what I was told would be a “worry-free” piece of furniture, and instead, I’m left with a non-functional and unsafe couch and no support. Buyer beware.

Additionally, I am forced to clean up feathers from the floor every single day. This situation is unacceptable and clearly points to a defect in the product. I purchased an extended warranty to cover damages or issues like this. However, when a representative came to inspect the couch, I was told there was nothing wrong and that it is normal for down-filled furniture to shed feathers. I strongly disagree with this assessment. I own other down-filled furniture, and none of them behave this way. I expect Ashley to take immediate action to resolve this matter, including the removal and replacement of the defective couch. But till now nothing has been done to resolve this issue.

I ordered w phone thinking I could get a paper invoice and nope you must print yourself. No help no matter what. I will never order Ashley again and to boot I got damaged product and waiting on replacement. I feel for the elder generation as we get no respect or response to anything not online related. Bad business and thanks for caring for the elderly. One day you will be as well.. Also can't verify receipt as I don't have one, just emails. I am a verified buyer however.

Purchased a couch and recliner. I had to arrange for a third party delivery service for the couch for $160. Ashley delivered the recliner which was so obviously broken. I immediately called them so the truck could come back and pick it up. Nope - have to call a different number to have it replaced. Did so and was told they would pick up the broken recliner and bring a replacement on Tuesday. Called on Tuesday to see when they planned to arrive and got the runaround so I asked them to just cancel the recliner and come pick up the broken one that is blocking my front door. Put on hold and then was told okay they could come on Friday. Employees act like they don't care that the broken recliner is blocking my front door and will be sitting through a rainstorm. Terrible customer service, no communication and I am sure I will likely end up taking them to small claims court to get the rip off fees refunded.

I purchased a sofa, loveseat, end table and coffee table from Ashley's in Fairfield NJ. The sofa arrived with a hole in the fabric. I called customer service and was told to take pictures of the damage. I sent 6 pictures as instructed. After several days with no communication, I called again. Even though I sent 6 pictures, she said she needed more. I sent 6 more and finally was told that they would send fabric and a technician would come and replace the damaged area. I had read they had a price match policy. I saw the end table I purchased was $40 less at Amazon.

I went to the store about it I was told the price match only applied if you mentioned it before the furniture was delivered. That was not true and they could not tell me where that was stated. After several phone calls and texts I was given a $40 refund. The customer service department is the worst. You have to make several phone calls and texts to get any satisfaction. They never return calls and the person you are texting with disappears after 20-25 minutes of texting that accomplish nothing. I am a first time customer and will not deal with Ashley in the future.

Within three years the chair collapsed and looking under the seat we realized that the wood a cheap plywood and the bolts that held the motor to the frame broke. The chair was such poor quality and we truly were disgusted by being scammed on this product.

I would give them a zero star if possible. We bought a couch recliner and a chair recliner. Paid extra for insurance on it. Within a month or so the recliner on the couch started sagging and color on materials came off in spots. It was under warranty and they picked it up for repair. They kept it over a month and finally brought it back. The spots were fixed but not the sagging broke part. We called them and they said their warranty was up to call the insurance. We did, they turned the claim down because they said you have to report it within thirty days. Well obviously we did but the store had had it sent somewhere to fix it. So now the insurance won't cover it and we have a less than year old new broken couch. I don’t recommend this store or the extra insurance coverage. It's a rip off of a deal. Also my son liked the way ours looked when we brought it. He bought the set too. Same thing his is broken too.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences with Ashley. I went in to buy an ergonomic pillow for my neck pain following a recent surgery. The salesperson assured me I could return it within 30 days if it didn’t work out. Based on that promise, I bought it. But at checkout, a different employee suddenly told me I only had 72 hours to return it. That was already sketchy, but it got worse. After using the pillow once, I realized it made my neck pain worse. I tried returning it within 24 hours, but a different Ashley store refused to take it, saying returns must go to the exact same location where it was purchased. Fine. I went back to the original store—only to be told by the manager that the pillow was a floor model and nonrefundable. None of this was disclosed to me when I bought it.

This is a complete bait-and-switch. The sales team flat-out lied, and the return policy is inconsistent and deceptive. The staff were rude, unhelpful, and clearly trained to give customers the runaround. Save yourself the headache and shop somewhere else. Ashley does not care about customers. Just a bunch of liars with awful customer service.

The sales people will mislead you about "expected" delivery dates. Nor will they even bother to tell you that your furniture will not be delivered anywhere close to the date you asked for. Even though you give them like a month lead time. When confronted, their sales people will simply shrug, tell you to complain to head office if you want your money back, and them walk away. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I can't comment on the quality of the furniture since it still hasn't been delivered. But I would encourage people to read other reviews. Apparently the build quality is bad.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Ashley Furniture. On April 26th, 2025, I received a damaged dining table that I paid full price for. I immediately requested a replacement, as I purchased a brand new table—not a used or repaired one. However, Ashley Furniture insisted on attempting a repair first, which I strongly disagreed with.

For the past month, I’ve contacted customer service weekly, only to be told repeatedly to "wait 72 hours for an update" or "5-7 business days." None of these promises have led to any resolution. I even visited the Ashley store in Yorba Linda, CA, four times. Each time, the store manager, acted as though it was my first visit, forcing me to re-explain the situation. Despite promising to follow up within 72 hours, I never received any updates from him.

As of today, I still have a chipped table sitting in my dining room, and no one at Ashley Furniture seems to care about resolving this issue. Their customer service is appalling, and their lack of accountability is shocking. I will never purchase anything from Ashley Furniture again. If I could give 1 star, I would. I ordered multiple pieces of furniture on 3/23 (desk, 2 bookshelves, a chair, and a rug). Furniture to be delivered 4/7, rug to be FedEx's 4/22. All items were damaged, a tech came out and fixed the bookshelves and chair, but the desk was damaged beyond repair and was reordered. The new desk was also damaged, and a tech had to come out to fix that. My rug was never delivered on 4/22. I have placed 7 calls to ask for updates and I keep getting different information. 4/24 - created a ticket and was told someone would contact me in 72 hours, no one called me back.

5/1 - called for an update and was told someone would contact me in 72 hours, no one called me back. 5/5 - talked to a "supervisor" at their customer service center who told me my rug was ready for pick-up, I told her that isn't an option 1. Because I was told by the sales rep it would be FedEx'd and that statement should be honored. 2. Because the rug is 8x10 and I had no way of transporting it. I told her that pick-up is not an option. She told me she would have it shipped, and would call me back with the details. She never called back.

5/9 - Called for an update was told my rug would be available 5/12 and delivered 5/14. I did receive a call from the store in Henderson, NV that day and was told my rug would be shipped out ASAP. I asked him what would be done for the inconvenience, he said he would check and call me back, but he never called back. Called 5/13 to ask if my rug shipped, I was told no, that it was waiting to be picked up by me from their warehouse. I explained, again that picking it up was not acceptable to me, and was told it would ship by the end of the day. 5/14 - called to check the status, the rug has not been shipped. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was finally connected to the store (I was told, repeatedly, that connecting to the store was not an option).

Spoke with Jose who told me my rug was ready for pick up, so I explained again why that was not an option. He told me he would call me back in one hour to give me tracking information. I called back 3 hours later, was hung up on my customer service when I asked to be connected to the store, and had to call back to be properly connected. Spoke with Edgar (sales manager) who told me he would update the order to ship when the system allowed him to enter my order. I guess there was someone already accessing my order, so he couldn't update it. He told me he would follow up with me once he updated my order to ship.

My ticket keeps getting closed out by their customer service department, but there has been no resolution. Dealing with this company has been a nightmare and has wasted hours of my time. You get what you pay for. Stick with higher end companies like Crate and Barrel, 7th Ave, West Elm. I have never had issues with them, but I decided to get some temporary office furniture from Ashley... Big mistake.
