Our experience at the Ashley Furniture store in Seabrook was top notch. Karen was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, thorough and personable. She was patient and had us try/compare key mattresses that fit our needs until we were able to distinguish a clear favorite. Based on getting to know us, she was then able to suggest a frame/headboard that we loved at first sight. Additionally, Karen was able to work within our budget. We're very happy with our experience and highly recommend the Ashley Furniture store in Seabrook, and Karen in particular.

I will not ever purchase any furniture from Ashley's. We purchased two powered recliners from them on 2/23/2021, with a 5 year extended warranty. Three months ago one of the cables, from the recliner to the transformer of the chair shorted out. I started the hunt for the replacement parts. I called the store. They stated the one year warranty was no long in effect, I advised them I purchased a 5 year warranty, they investigated and found this to be true.

I got a number for the warranty company, I called them. I got a CLAIM number, I called them several times over the next two weeks, only to be placed on hold, almost every time. I finally stopped the service person, before I was placed on hold, I asked to talk with a supervisor. They told me my warranty was not with their company, referring me back to the store. I called them back, they advised me they had recently been merged with another company, that some of the records of their clients were not in the system. I was one of them. They located my account, thankfully I kept all my paperwork. I went to the store our purchase.

Buyers beware. They will not honor your warranty so don’t waste your money purchasing a warranty. We bought a dining room table and the cheap side panel on the table began to unglue within a year of purchase. We submitted a claim, which was denied. I suggest that you shop somewhere that has better quality furniture. I should have read reviews prior to taking my business to Ashley. I would have given zero stars but I wasn’t able to therefore they got 1 star by default.

My wife and I purchased a chaise sofa and chair in mid October this year. Two weeks after it was delivered the cover on the chaise sofa started showing wear and changing colors. I called service and a service man came out to inspect. He agreed there was a problem and ordered us a new cover and it was delivered with instructions to call service to arrange a date for them to come out to install it. After it arrived I called and was dealing with a woman who could barely speak english. She kept asking to same questions and I was put on hold six different times.

I finally asked her why it was so to set an appointment. She stated the all of my answers to her had to be verified before she could give me a date. This is totally unacceptable and not the kind of customer service I'm used to getting. I will never buy from Ashley Furniture again, and will leaving this same review every place I can. This was the Ashley store in Sarasota, Fl. I recommend buyers should look somewhere else for furniture needs. The sale went fine, but service after the sale sucks.. STAY AWAY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE STORES.

I purchased a full bedroom set and a recliner from Ashley Home Store. When it was delivered, the recliner was the wrong color so it was sent back. They set up (paid for white glove service) the bedroom furniture and 6 of the 15 drawers (3 in dresser and 3 in chest of drawers) did not close correctly. One edge would be flush with the furniture and the other edge would stick out more than 1/4 inch. Makes them look crooked. Delivery guy called Customer Service (CS) and they said a technician would be out to adjust the drawers, no problem. The technician showed several weeks later and did very little, said he did not see a problem but called CS and ordered new rails for the drawers.

They mailed the rails to me a week and a half later and then I had to schedule the technician to come back out 2 weeks later. I stay home and he never shows. I called and they said he tried to show but I did not answer the door. He closed the ticket and charged me $30 for missing the appointment. Long story short, he was at the wrong house and they had to remove the fee. At this point, I requested to escalate the issue. We were months past the purchase and things were not getting better. They said all I could do was reschedule the technician. He arrives over two weeks later and starts replacing the rails, complaining the whole time he did not know why he was replacing them. He said it would not change anything and that it would only shorten the life of the drawers. Once the first drawer was done, it did not help.

He tried one more drawer and it would not close with the new rails so he put the old rails back on. I asked him to stop and he called CS and they said they would just replace the furniture. I still asked to escalate the issue. All they would do is schedule the delivery of the new items. Two weeks later ,the 'new' furniture was delivered, but was not in a box, it was just wrapped in a blanket. We looked at them in the road before they brought it in and the drawers were worse than the ones I have so I refused the delivery and they called CS again. Each time I complained about the drawers, pictures were taken and sent to CS. I again asked to escalate and they said all they can do is send another set out.

Two weeks later, the new items were delivered. I was assured they would be new in the box but they were not. Still just wrapped in a blanket and the drawers were still crooked. We are now over four months past the purchase and I have had two initial deliveries, the second was to bring the right colored recliner which was set up with a loose air connection for the massage feature. Three attempted and pointless technician visits and two replacement deliveries, where the furniture was just as bad, if not worse than the original furniture. They called the CS yet again and I said I don't want to waste more time having more bad furniture delivered. I asked for $500 off, which is a small percentage of the overall sale, for all the hassles, time and the quality issues. I also asked again to escalate so I could speak to someone higher up, but they refused.

They put me on hold and finally came back and offered me a $200 Ashley's gift card and said that was the best they could do. Why would I want a $200 gift card for the store where I got crappy furniture? I started posting negative reviews and Ashley CS reached out on social media. They wanted me to give them the original receipt from the purchase. I gave them my name and phone number and they said they could not look up my purchase that way, even though the call centers looked me up that way every time. After I gave them everything they asked for, I get a call from the call center asking me to call them back to schedule the delivery of yet another set of furniture. They just don't listen and don't seem to care when customers are happy. Do not buy from them.

Worst customer service you can imagine.. I have been trying to get my couch fixed for 7 months and it been nothing but a hassle and it’s still not fixed.. Parts have been on order since August and every week I get a email or text saying parts on back order again and it will be another two weeks.. I don’t think they will ever fix my couch and they will keep pushing me off till I just forget about it and go buy something new somewhere else..

The worst part is you call and never get a manager or anyone that can help you. All you get is they are not available, they have gone home for the day in the middle of the day, in a meeting and they will have to call you back the next day.. Guess what you never get that call back or they say they called you a half hour ago but you never got a call and no message was left and the best one I was on the phone with them waiting for the manager when they called. I would stay away from Ashley’s Furniture and look elsewhere or go to a custom company.. At least they will be around if you need help or someone to talk to. Stay away

Quality is garbage and customer service just simply doesn’t care! They don’t even really want to talk to you. Instead they tell you to use the chatbot Jenny. Wall was damaged during delivery, dining set we has to order online because it wasn’t in the store. Was supposed to be gray. Instead it looks brown, too bad for us basically. Bedroom set has knicks all over it, pieces broke off, drawer not put together right, and the edge of the chest looks like it was dropped on the corner but I’m not worried because they are sending out a “master craftsmen” to fix all the damage.

Hopefully it’s not the same person who put my chairs together that aren’t screwed together all the way, has loose parts on them and has the stickers still all over the bottom of them. We spent 8 thousand dollars and we should have just went to Wayfair. Same exact quality but atleast Wayfair stands behind what they sell, Ashley simply doesn’t care. I will never spend another cent at Ashley.

The salesman Tom at the Blankenbaker LN in Louisville KY was very pushy but my wife really liked the sectional. We ordered the sectional and it was over 2 months and still wasn’t in. After complaining and threatening to cancel they had every piece but the right hand arm piece. My wife asked me to pick up the pieces that were in and they were going to deliver the last piece the next week. I have tried to call the store and the number that they left on the text about the delivery and I just get an AI answering service that will not transfer to an actual human. I am very disappointed in their service. The furniture quality seems good and the price was reasonable but the rest has been awful. The furniture we are replacing is from Ashley’s years ago and was a good quality but the timeline then was awful as well but no AI as it was not available yet. Beware how they will treat you after they get your money. Great furniture but awful sales and service.

My mother in law and I went to Ashley Furniture in Stonecrest to buy furniture. She purchased a sofa and loveseat. We got home and I looked at the paperwork and pulled up the item numbers. We realized our salesperson had ordered the wrong furniture. She had told us that a sectional sofa could be ordered as a sofa and loveseat. What she did is ordered a completely different sofa and loveseat that was not even close to what we had agreed upon. I called and let them know. We went back to the store the following week and ordered different furniture. The manager told me she had worked “her magic” and shockingly the new price was exactly the same as the previous furniture we had been sold. Well I thought that was odd, so I went back over to look at the prices of the furniture we just bought.

The price the manager had charged us for the new furniture was $600 more than the actual price of the new furniture. That’s how she had worked her magic! She overcharged us for the new furniture. Unbelievable. I had them readjust the price. There was no “I’m sorry” or anything. She blatantly attempted to cheat us out of $600. She was totally trying to take advantage of a 90 year old woman.

I had a very stressful experience with this company, which was really disappointing. I’m not here to say whether your products are good or bad. I just want to share what happened. I bought two counter stools for my kitchen, but right after assembling them, I realized they were too big for my apartment and didn’t feel right. They might look great in the store display or in a big house, but not for a small space like mine. I wanted to return them, but I was told it wasn’t possible. The only option was to exchange them for something else but only in the store, not online. I tried, but I couldn’t find anything that I truly needed or that made me happy. Most of the furniture was very large and heavy, which doesn’t fit my minimalist and light style. I also felt that customers who don’t spend a lot of money are treated coldly or ignored, which made the whole experience even harder. Anyway, I still wish your company success.

In August 2024, we purchased two couches from American, manufactured by Ashley. By way of background, we have been customers for 30+ years and in general, have been satisfied. It's where we purchased furniture. We have spent many thousands of dollars as customers of American. Now, one of these couches we use daily while the other is mainly for company. A few months ago, I noticed one of them appeared to be sagging on the ends. I called them. Since it was slightly more than a year and I learned that their warranty was passed and the manufacturer, Ashley, has no applicable guaranty either. They quoted around $500 to fix this piece of junk.

I asked about a discount if we elected to junk it and buy another. They have no intention of helping us at all. They aren't even embarrassed or apologetic! It’s very disappointing to find out after so many years of being loyal customers, they have no interest in helping us. I even had to pay $49 to have the guy look at it for 10 minutes. Clearly, the quality of their products is not good. Cheap stuff is sold at high prices to anyone who is not a furniture expert. We are done and I encourage you to find a company with better products, customer appreciation, and integrity. Greed is not pretty.

We purchased a bed from Ashley Furniture on September 12th, and it broke in less than two weeks. A brand-new bed should never fall apart that quickly — it speaks to poor quality and lack of durability. When we contacted customer service, we were told a replacement part had to be ordered through the manufacturer and that we couldn’t fix it ourselves because of the warranty. Fine. But now we’ve been told the part won’t arrive until mid-November — and that’s before the repair can even be scheduled. So, we’re left sleeping on the floor for more than two months after paying for a new bed. While I understand delays can happen, this situation is completely unacceptable. The product failed almost immediately, and the lack of urgency or accountability from Ashley has made the experience even worse.

For the first time, I made a purchase at Ashley Furniture for a loveseat. It looked nice enough, seemed well built, etc, but unfortunately it has been nothing but trouble. I received it in Sep 2024, and by about Feb 2025 (yup, only 5 months later) the power button on one side stopped working. I had a tech come to change it. Was good for another month or 2, and the power button on the other side stopped working. Again had a tech in to replace it. Then, only 5 months later, the cushions were all losing their density, so I had a tech come to replace both seat and back cushions. I did mention at that time that there was a very prominent squeak in the seat coils on the right side, but they said there was nothing they could do for that.

Now, the loveseat is just 3 weeks over 1 year old, and the worst thing that could happen, happened. The actually frame started coming apart on one side. The arm is at a slight angle and sits right on the floor, whereas the other side is straight up and down and sits almost 2" off the ground. I just got off the phone and video chat to show them what is happening but, because I didn't purchase the extended warranty, they will NOT help me unless I pay $75/hr service fee, which I cannot afford. So, I'm stuck with a loveseat that I paid almost $1,600 for and will probably be useless in short order. I might understand them not servicing it after warranty if it was the cushion or done other issue, but the frame(?!!!) You'd think they'd honor that when it's only a year old. The moral is, unless you've got plenty of money to spare, don't but from Ashley Furniture.

The experience I’ve had with Ashley Furniture has been nothing short of appalling. Our couch was delivered damaged and stained with grease, an unforgivable offense for a purchase exceeding $3,000. I immediately contacted the store, only to be met with empty platitudes from the General Manager, Jordan **, who feigned concern merely to protect his “metrics” and avoid a chargeback. He assured me he was “handling it personally," until those metrics were safe, at which point he washed his hands of responsibility and told us to contact customer service.

What followed was a bureaucratic nightmare masquerading as a support process. My fiancée, already stressed from our relocation for work, was treated so dismissively that she was brought to tears. I had to intervene personally, and even then, every step was a fight. Now, insult is added to injury as we’re told we must wait for a technician to “inspect” the damage and decide if it qualifies for a replacement, as if the greasy handprints and dents somehow need expert verification. The entire ordeal has been a masterclass in unprofessional incompetence. For a company that charges premium prices, Ashley Furniture delivers bargain-bin accountability. If this level of negligence and disregard for customers occurred in my organization, heads would roll. Take my advice: spend your money anywhere else.

The delivery people told her that they could not make any of it right. On top of it all the delivery guy PEED BY OUR CAR!!! We've now spent several hours on the phone with customer service - they require us to file three different claims with three different groups and processes. They are saying all sales are final and they are offering very little in the way of repairs. These items were not bought on clearance and they were not labeled as final sale.

Too soon to tell but on the surface Ashley seems like a good store. I felt the furnishings on display looked like great quality products. I bought a mattress there. A sealey. During the purchasing process, it was explained by my sales rep that if, after 30 days, the mattress isn't working out, it can be exchanged for something more suitable. I'm not a complainer, however shortly after getting the bed by back went out. While I like the bed, my back does not. It took a month to get the bed once purchased, and I was not sure what timeline to do this exchange would be valid.

I visited the store to explain my issue. A new rep was reassuring, made notes from my paperwork, taking one of the pages, noting on them and said he'd make sure the manager got it. Another week passed and I hadn't heard anything so I called the store and asked for the manager. A man picks up the phone and addresses me by name. "What seems to be your problem?" I can only tell you it went south from there. I'm left with the impression he wasn't too keen on me exchanging my bed mattress. I put in a call to corporate customer care and I'm not sure they really get it either. I hear them say they hear me but they've sent me twice FAQs page about warranty issues. I dont think it's wise to take up my exchange with the store manager and my 30-day window is slowly closing.

Bad business practices, unprofessional and no accountability for their mistakes. Intended to order 3 barstools but sales associate actually ordered 6 by mistake. She ordered 3 boxes of 2 and charged as such (for those 3 sets)- it is clearly stated on the receipt that we paid for 3 sets of 2 each. We ordered the chairs for pickup and when we called to check on the order, we were told only 2 of the 3 chairs had arrived, but that we could go ahead and pick up the 2 chairs and they'd call us when the third came in. We picked up the 2 chairs and when we got home and opened them, realized each box had a set of 2 chairs so we ended up with 4. I checked my receipt and realized their error so I immediately called the store and told them we'd like to keep the 4 chairs but we don't need the third box that was on the way and requested a refund for the third box.

We were told that we were wrong and that even though the receipt said we paid for 6 chairs, they claim we only paid for 3 and that we needed to return the 4th chair (that we already picked up and signed for and came home and unboxed). Not only is that beyond WRONG but that is THEIR mistake and very inconvenient to expect us to bring a chair back to the store. The associate then offered to come to our house to pick it up after she gets off work (unprofessional and uncomfortable). They also refused to give us a refund for the third box which technically could have picked up. I'm very confused as to how they could possibly think they are right in this situation. I contacted customer care (corporate office) and was once again met by extreme unprofessionalism and absolutely no help in the matter. Mind blowing experience, never again!!!

My wife and I purchased two lamps and a rug from Ashley Furniture in Baton Rouge, LA on August 30, 2025. Our salesperson, Clark **, told us the items would arrive in about two weeks or less. After two weeks passed with no updates, I had to reach out myself(I have the text) to find out what was going on. That’s when I was told to call the distribution center, who informed me that the rug was on backorder and wouldn’t arrive until the end of October — almost two months later than promised.

When I asked Clark why this was happening, he said it was a direct ship from the vendor and that during the sale, he couldn’t see that it was on backorder. That explanation makes no sense. How can a company sell an item they don’t actually have, and not have any system in place to flag it? It’s frustrating that there seems to be no communication between the sales floor, distribution center, and vendor. After nearly two months, Ashley Furniture still has our money, and I’ve spoken with at least seven different employees in multiple departments trying to get answers.

When I went back to the store to talk to a manager, I asked to cancel and receive a refund and was given a phone number to call and cancel my order myself. No one offered a real solution or even an apology. I honestly feel like I was told whatever I needed to hear just to make the sale, but when it came time to make it right, no one cared. All departments dropped the ball on this order, and someone needs to take a serious look at Operations and Quality Control across the board. This was my first and last time ever buying anything from Ashley Furniture. I wanted to give no stars, but it's not an option.

I purchased a sectional couch from Ashley Furniture a couple of years ago along with their Platinum Protection Plan. A few months ago, the frame on the chaise section broke. The protection plan company honored the claim and issued a store credit for that piece, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, when the replacement chaise arrived, it didn’t match my existing sectional. It sits about 4 inches higher, and after examining it more closely, I discovered that Ashley had changed the internal frame design. The delivery team initially told me it was just “new cushions” that would settle, but that was not the case. Since then, I’ve been going back and forth between Ashley Furniture and the insurance company for months. Ashley says it’s the insurer’s issue, and the insurer says it’s Ashley’s responsibility. Neither side is willing to take ownership or help me fix the problem.

At this point, I have a sectional that doesn’t match and two companies pointing fingers at each other. I spent a significant amount of money and expected better service and accountability. Desired outcome: I would like either a matching replacement sectional or a full store credit for the entire set so I can purchase furniture that actually fits together properly.

Wish I give a ZERO, or negative 5 review. This company should not be allowed to do business. They actually have a "NO RETURNS" policy. If it's been 5 minutes since it was delivered, they will not take it back. They won't answer their phones, and if they do they hang up on you. We had something delivered to us 2 days ago. We tried to take it back today and for the first time we were told they don't allow returns unless it is damaged. But then they still won't return it, they just get you another one which may be likely the same. Their employees seem like they just don't care. I have spent so many hours trying to get somewhere with them after buying numerous pieces of furniture and getting absolutely nowhere. Buy at your own risk.

My initial buying experience was smooth and pleasant. The salesperson I worked with was friendly, professional, and helpful. Unfortunately, the positive experience ended there. The real issue began when I received furniture that was significantly damaged. All post-purchase support has to go through an out-of-area customer service center, and that’s where things took a frustrating turn.

The representatives I spoke with were consistently rude and unhelpful, continuously put me on long holds throughout the call, and several representatives told me that they'd have to call me back to continue the exchange process but never did...this all made resolving anything feel nearly impossible, and my original desire to exchange turned into a desire to return. In an effort to get better assistance, I went back to the store in person, only to be told that they couldn’t help with anything and that all issues still had to go through the same unhelpful service center. Essentially, I am stuck with a rather expensive piece of furniture that is extensively damaged.

To be fair, the furniture itself, outside of the damage, is of decent quality. And sales personnel within the store at the time of purchase are friendly enough. However, potential buyers should know: if you encounter any problems after your purchase, don’t expect support. Unfortunately, customer service after the sale is where this business really falls short.

When I realized that the automatic debit went through & my online payment went through for the same month, I called to see what I could do to get the extra payment back since I am widowed & on a limited budget. I was told they would send me a refund check, which they did. But the next month they debited an extra $25. When I called to see what that was about, I was told the refund they gave me caused the next payment to require an extra $25 to meet the minimum payment.

When I told the representative what happened, it didn’t matter. I was not going to get the extra $25 back because they were entitled to it. Which actually sounds like a scam to me. If I could give zero stars, I would. This furniture store absolutely sucks when it comes to standing by their products and honoring their warranty services. If you make the mistake of going into the store to purchase something, do not waste your time or money buying their warranty. In November 2022, my husband and I decided to buy a sofa at the Ashley store in Secaucus, NJ. We were told that our recliner sofa was all leather ($3,500.00) & we should get the $500 warranty because it would cover any wear & tear, like cracking & peeling or mechanical issues, so we decided to spend the additional money for the D model X protect 5 year worry free experience.

This past September, we walked into the store with pictures of some cracking & peeling that had occurred near the armrest of the sofa. We wanted to see if somebody could come and fix this as we were promised when originally purchased. The rep quickly informed us that they had a different warranty company, and that we would have to file a claim with that company. We did & about a week later we received an email denying our claim & stating that the damage to our couch was not covered. It was at this time that we learned that our couch was not all leather and that the section that was peeling and cracking was apparently faux leather.

Furthermore, would have to pay an additional insurance coverage of $99 for them to review the situation again to see if they would be able to service and repair our sofa or give us 50% of the full replacement credit. They also advised that if we were declined that we had one month to request the $99 co-pay, but we would not receive the full amount because they would deduct 10% for processing fees and any cost incurred for coming to see the sofa. So here’s my question what did I spend an additional $500 to insure?? In my opinion, Ashley Furniture makes money by lying to consumers and ripping people off! Furthermore, I wonder if this is going on in this specific area where there is a high volume of ** population, and they are trying to take advantage and discriminating against us!!

Finally spoke to a person and told to file a warranty claim. 5 days later several emails said it would take 72 hrs to process. 6 days later I sent an inquiry email with no response. 7 days later another email was sent regarding the warranty. After another call I was told that one of the several emails in the beginning asked for pictures of damages when there are none. Why did no one respond to my other emails to make sure I was aware of this. Had to send a video of myself trying to get it to work. Now another 72 hours of waiting.

There is absolutely no way to contact them to change the delivery date. I had plans to buy quite a bit more from Ashley, for my home, but not now. Find another furniture company to purchase from, or do without. If they had an after hours number to at least allow me to change my delivery date, that would help quite a bit. They are the worst store to deal with. We bought $13k worth of furniture, and when we check our invoice, they overcharged us close to $3k from what the actual price was suppose to be. We called them and the salesman said he would fix it and we would get our account credited within 10 to 14 days. 16 days go by, no credit. Called again, left a message, no return call. Called again, spoke to a manager. They said they would have it fixed asap. 10 days later, no credit. Called again, spoke to a manager and the division customer service.

They finally processed the credit, 26 days later, but we won't see the credit until the invoice closes, which meant when we take delivery of all of our furniture. Well, that's a whole new story. They said we would get part of our furniture within 2 weeks, and the rest in another 2 weeks. Day of the delivery, I call and find out it was never scheduled. We won't get it for another week, but it all came in early and we would get all of it. Delivery shows up, we only get a partial delivery, the rest is still 2 weeks out. And, we were suppose to get platform beds, only to find out, you can't get them without the drawers. So I call, they said come back and pick up the foundations, free of charge.

I pick them up only to find out they gave us the wrong foundations. I call them and they say, well come back and we will give you the right ones. They won't deliver them. Still waiting for the manager to call me back to get them to deliver the foundation. Such incompetent sales and managers. They lie, don't follow up, and cheat you when they can. I will never buy from them again and I will tell everyone don't buy from them. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST STORE EVER.

Travis and his team at the Ashley Homestore in Manhattan, Kansas are WONDERFUL! I give them 10 out of 5 stars! I paid over $2000 dollars for a bedroom set that is chipping away as each day passes. It’s like Ashley didn’t set or finish the white paint job! I accidentally stubbed my toe on the footboard, chipped paint. Caught my finger on one of the dresser drawers, chipped paint. Just looked down at a side table that I do not use or access daily, corner looks like it could completely fall off any minute. It’s not only chipping but cracking! I spent a fair amount of money on this bedroom set in May of 2025. It’s only October 2025.

Ashley furniture used to be made to last! What is going on with the quality here? I am so very disappointed in Ashley right now. I should mention that the extended coverage offered by Ashley, that is a joke. They will find every excuse under the sun to blame the customer for Ashley’s poor manufacturing. I am from Canada and I purchased through one of their retailers called Parks Furniture in St Catharines Ontario a queen sized bed frame. To start off the instructions were very poor on the assembly. They even have towards the end of the instructions. A note saying, let us know all the four letter words that you used in the assembly! No word of a lie they actually had this printed in the instructions.! The big problem was the side rails were warped, so the fabric and support rods were too short in the middle because of the bow nature of the rails.

My neighbor helped using a 2 x 4 to straighten the rails. Even the retailer parks furniture was very poor And provided no assistance at all, but would have charged a restocking fee and another delivery fee if someone came down to help us. The mattress was still in plastic and parks furniture said if you don’t return the mattress today, which was the delivery day you cannot return it even in the original plastic packaging! I recently had a very disappointing experience with Ashley Furniture that I feel compelled to share. Initially, I purchased a couch and was excited about my choice. However, I quickly discovered that the pillows contained feathers, which I was not informed about at the time of purchase. This oversight was frustrating, as I prefer synthetic filling and would have never chosen this couch had I known.

To make matters worse, after raising this issue, I was sent a replacement couch, but it was the wrong model. I had to scramble to find another replacement from a limited inventory, which added to my frustration. To compound the situation, the store manager was unavailable for four months, leaving me without proper support during this time. At this point, I'm left feeling dissatisfied and would like nothing more than to have my original couch returned to me. The entire experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I'd hoped for better service and communication from Ashley Furniture. I hope this review helps others consider their options and encourages the company to improve its customer service. Sincerely, James

Less than a year in one of the recliners started pilling on the headrest. Then the recliner sofa had issues. They stated that the warranty I purchased (DO NOT BUY THIS) would repair and I quote "EVERYTHING" for 5 years that goes wrong. LIES! The company is called GBSENT a PROTECT ALL company. Turns out they could not repair the recliner since that was not covered. They did repair the mechanism that broke on the sofa recliner so I will give them that. I recently contacted them about another issue which was a tear, pilling, etc. NOPE that is not covered either.

So this recliner sofa which is terrible by the way we cannot repair unless it is out of pocket or an accidental tear. Also we once spilled something on one of the cushions and instead of cleaning the entire sofa they only cleaned the one cushion!! I was floored. I couldn't even believe it. So in summary DO NOT BUY anything from here. It will not last and DO NOT BUY the warranty. It's a scam. Most of your claims will be denied by the GBSENT a PROTECT ALL company.

Firstly, they would not cover, stating that is was normal wear and refused to cover.

Mind you, I had also purchased the extended warranty, which the salesman told me would cover everything that could possible happen. The 2nd customer service person said that she would resubmit after I sent additional photos of the pieces. I did so the following day. After multiple calls to both customer service and the store, no mattress ever arrived. That night, we had no bed and were forced to sleep on the floor. The next day, we were promised delivery before 9 AM. No one came. After more phone calls, still no mattress. Since Ashley doesn’t deliver on Sundays, we were left without a bed all weekend. We eventually had to go out and purchase a completely different bed from another store.

Meanwhile, the bed frames they had delivered were sitting in our living room for over a week. Only after more calls did Ashley finally come pick them up. Now, we are STILL being charged. It has been over two weeks of calling customer service, being told “a case has been created,” but nothing has actually been resolved. Only after finalizing the payment was I later informed that delivery would not occur until the end of October 2025. This constitutes failure to disclose material information at the time of sale and may be viewed as a misrepresentation of delivery terms. Under the FTC’s Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Rule, a retailer must ship goods within the timeframe advertised or, if no timeframe is specified, within 30 days. If the seller cannot meet this obligation, they must obtain the consumer’s consent to the delay or issue a prompt refund.

In my case, Ashley Furniture failed to comply with these obligations, leaving me with an unreasonable waiting period and no proper resolution offered. Consumers should be aware that such practices raise serious consumer protection concerns and reflect poorly on the company’s adherence to fair trade and contract law principles.

In October 2023, I purchased a sofa with a recliner from Ashley Furniture for $2,499.99, along with a $300.00 three-year in-home service plan to protect the investment should anything happen to the furniture. After almost two years of ownership, we requested an inspection because the fabric had begun to deteriorate, and the center backrest was defective. A technician named Ruben was sent to my home. During the inspection, Ruben noticed that we have a dog in the house and immediately claimed the defect was caused by the dog. I explained that the dog does not get on the furniture. He did not provide any evidence to support his claim and did not further comment on the actual defect. Instead, he stated that the fabric would not be covered because it was “normal wear and tear” and that the material itself was “not good enough.”

This explanation is unacceptable. The fabric damage is also present in areas that are not normally touched when sitting, which clearly indicates a defect in quality rather than use. Shortly after the technician left, I received a call stating that the damage was caused by the dog, based solely on his claim. I immediately objected, made it clear that I do not want Ruben assigned to my home again due to his lack of honesty and professionalism, and was assured this would be noted. I was then told that a part would be ordered and I would be contacted within 2–3 weeks for installation. However, about a week later I was informed that the vendor could not provide the part, that my service plan would not cover it, and that the insurance I paid for was essentially useless. I requested a refund of the $300.00 service plan fee but was told this was not possible because costs had already been incurred in sending the technician.

Instead, I was offered a $750.00 store credit, but only if I spent a minimum of $2,500.00 on a new purchase. This means I would have to spend an additional $1,750.00, on top of the $300.00 already wasted, and still be left with defective furniture. This “solution” is unreasonable, disrespectful, and demonstrates a lack of professionalism toward a paying customer.

To summarize: I paid $2,799.99 total ($2,499.99 + $300.00 protection plan). The sofa developed defects within 2 years. The service plan failed to cover the damage despite being purchased for exactly this type of situation. The technician provided a false and unsubstantiated explanation, blaming my pet without evidence. The “resolution” offered requires me to spend even more money to receive partial compensation. I am requesting a fair resolution to this matter. At minimum, I expect one of the following:

A full refund of the $300.00 service plan fee, or
A meaningful repair or replacement of the defective furniture without additional cost, or

A credit that does not require me to make a disproportionate new purchase in order to use it.

Please also note for the record that technician Ruben is not to be assigned to my property again. I trust that Ashley Furniture/City Furniture values its customers and will take steps to resolve this issue promptly and fairly. Sincerely,

I was very clear about what I wanted — I even showed him the exact product in-store. He scanned the item right off the floor, and the invoice clearly states “TV stand with fireplace option.” I ended up spending several thousand dollars on my order, expecting to get exactly what I was sold. But when the items were delivered, the TV stand came without the fireplace. I went back to the store to fix the issue, and instead of helping, they told me I had bought the version without the fireplace — despite what the invoice says.

Now they’re saying it was a mistake on their part, but if I want the fireplace (the one I believed I already paid for), I have to pay even more money. They acknowledge the mistake but refuse to correct it. It’s now been days, and they still haven’t resolved the problem. This feels like a bait-and-switch. I was sold one thing, received another, and now they’re dodging responsibility. I would not recommend this location to anyone. I had already been inconvenienced one day and did not wish to be inconvenienced a second time losing an entire day off. Again they told me this was not possible so I canceled the order. I did decide to give them a second chance and ordered a bed frame online. I was sent an email saying that the shipping date would be September 21st. On September 23 I called to ask of the status. I was told that it had been picked up by FedEx in Wisconsin and I would be receiving an email with a tracking number. Today, I receive an email saying that the item is now out of stock and they canceled the order.

The purchasing experience at the Avondale AZ store was good BUT the return process for this company is horrible. We purchased and attempted to return two living room end table lamps, one of which we had received and one that had yet to be delivered. First of all, the phone at this store is seldom answered no matter what time of day you call or what day of the week it is. When they do answer, you are quickly referred to customer service. When you speak to them, if you can even understand them, they are not helpful. They can’t tell you where your order is, if there is still an order on file, where in the process your refund is or basically provide any useful information at all.

One time, we were told it would be 3-5 business days, then 7-10 business days. The one lamp was returned to the store Sunday, August 31st, when they opened. Both lamps were to be processed for refunds that week. As of today, we have received a refund for one lamp, BUT the other is still somewhere in their convoluted system, even though they were both paid for at the same time. They are quick to take your money and slow to give it back. One time we were told, “We can’t see the orders on our computer.” Next time it was “We can’t see the financial side on our computer.” What I’m saying is customer service is basically useless, the store employees are no better, and good luck to you if you buy something that needs to returned. We will obviously NEVER shop at Ashley’s ever again.

I arranged to have someone at the home for the delivery. I received a message at 9:08am saying the driver was at the home. Then I received a message at 9:22am saying they could not complete the delivery. My cameras showed that no one had come to the house and the person at the house verified no one had arrived. I contacted Ashley. It turns out the item is on back order. It was never even on the truck. It was not even at the warehouse.

My furniture had been removed in preparation for the new sectional. Ashley sold an item they did not even have, scheduled a delivery date for this imaginary furniture, notified me that the driver had arrived, claimed that the delivery could not be completed and that the driver had left, all the while knowing the driver never had the item on the truck, had never gone to the house, and that the item is not even available. I found it unacceptable and very unprofessional. Someone waited at the house based on the delivery date Ashley established and the messages they sent claiming to have even attempted to have delivered the sectional were complete lies. There is documentation to support every word of this review. I can say that I will never again even consider this company for anything and would not recommend them to anyone.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. We've spent over $15,000 with Ashley Furniture in the past few months, and every single item we've ordered has arrived damaged—yes, every single one. Here's the rundown:

Dining Table + 8 Chairs: Table arrived damaged. A technician had to come out and repair it.
Sectional Couch: Came with visible snags. Another technician visit.
Two Nightstands: One had a forklift-sized hole punched through the box and the back of the nightstand. The other was left upside down on our porch.

Bed Frame (Recent Fiasco): Box arrived torn open, padding was damaged, and then… the headboard arrived broken too. Missing screw receivers, unstable support—this piece literally can’t be used. Our mattress is now on the floor. Classy.

Every time, we’ve spent hours on the phone with customer service reps in overseas call centers who we can barely understand (not a racist comment—just a reality that communication is nearly impossible). They offer zero solutions and just kick the can another 48 hours. We’ve been in limbo for weeks. And the kicker? Not once has a supervisor called us. Not once. No urgency. No ownership. Just generic apologies and useless “tickets.” Ashley Furniture is everything the 1-star reviews say and worse:

    Cheap products
    Zero quality control
    Appalling customer service

    No accountability

Do yourself a favor: shop anywhere else. Don’t gamble with your time, money, or sanity. Ashley has lost a customer for life.

I had been warned by personnel from another furniture store that was located down the road from Ashley, that "they will fight you to give you a refund". Ashley staff, including the store manager and regional manager, refused to give me a refund. Staff laughed at me. Further, a staff member came around the counter, got into my personal space, and said, "Let's go out to the parking lot". I asked him to back up and give me space as I backed up to create space. I am a non-violent old man! No physical altercation occurred, but I felt threatened.

Anyway, I did not get a refund. They also said that there would be a 30% restocking fee. This is the third time that I have dealt with Ashley stores within the past year or so. First, some of the formal dining room chairs that I ordered were broken. Second, they had the wrong railing for a bed. Third, is the failure of Ashley, and specifically the store in Mishawaka, to deliver the furniture that I ordered on 07/05/2025, with an estimated delivery of 08/08/2025. And, as I experienced by Ashley staff, I am not allowed to be angry about that, and when I attempted to resolve the matter and get a refund, then they refused and intimidated me. However, they were more than happy to take my money when I ordered their merchandise.

You need to pay for the seat pads yourself and Ashley just does the repair. Why a recliner should be damaged in 3-4 months. Why I have to pay for padding. What kind of low quality pads they use? We picked out outdoor furniture- loved it and had a good delivery- THEN it all went downhill. I strongly advise you NOT to pay for the extended insurance or warranty on your furniture. Please just know that you will come out better keeping the money it costs and putting it towards any repairs you have to have on your own. Our dog had a urine accident that affected middle and end cushion on outdoor sofa (Beachcroft). For starters filing a claim in like getting shifted to 3 different people that you also can barely understand and then it took a month to get a technician out because they only come to our area but once a month. We had to take off work to be there during 8-5.

The technician was nice but it still didn't remove the stain after I checked it the next day. I reported it and finally after 5 phone calls, multiple places, it ended up that Ashley told me that the STAIN is covered but not the ODOR! WHAT???? That is like having an insurance policy on a car and having the bumper repaired but not being able to repair anything behind the bumper that was cause by the bumper being damaged!?? Makes ZERO sense. Especially since the core needs replacing inside the cushion itself. So, we could have it replaced ourselves with the money that we spend initially on the useless warranty! While the furniture is nice, the extended warranty is useless.

Three of the four boxes remain unopened, and one was opened only to discover the item was the wrong size. When I attempted to return them, I was told Ashley Furniture has an ALL SALES ARE FINAL policy and does not accept returns. At no point during the purchase did the salesperson or paperwork process clearly disclose this policy. We were rushed through the transaction, and there were no signs posted in the store making this restriction known. The website and in-store documents also present conflicting information about returns. Only after contacting the store did I learn about a hidden process requiring a “Notice of Dispute” buried in the fine print of Ashley’s website.

This is not what I expect from a major retailer. In today’s marketplace, virtually all retailers accept returns on unopened merchandise within a reasonable period. California law even requires “all sales final” policies to be clearly and conspicuously posted in stores. Ashley Furniture failed to meet that standard. Consumers deserve transparency and fair treatment. Unfortunately, my experience with Ashley Furniture was misleading and unnecessarily burdensome. I would not have made this purchase had I known the true nature of their return policy.

At home, I discovered the recliner didn’t work and the chaise had a tear.

The warranty process was a nightmare. I was told my warranty was void because I didn’t unbox the items at pickup — something no one mentioned when I purchased. Customer service bounced me between call centers and wrong stores for months. Appointments were repeatedly scheduled, rescheduled, or changed last minute. At one point, my husband drove furniture an hour away for a “store repair,” only to get a text mid-drive saying the appointment was changed back to our house. We wasted fuel, time, and multiple days off work, and the technician who eventually showed up couldn’t even complete repairs because no parts had been delivered.

It took filing a BBB complaint to finally get the furniture repaired. Even then, Ashley dragged their feet on compensation. After months of wasted time (over 24 hours on calls and emails), missed work, gas expenses, and sheer frustration, they finally offered me $90. That doesn’t even cover one tank of diesel, let alone the wages and time lost. Ashley Furniture has horrible quality control, terrible customer communication, and does not value the time or money of its customers. We went with the white glove delivery but declined the warranty. We were assured it would be assembled in our apartment since we said the hallway to our place was thin and assembly was necessary. Carl assured us this was fine. We paid and scheduled delivery for 2 weeks out. No problem. Well we get to delivery day and the delivery drivers bring our couch to the door already fully assembled (this was not mentioned to us in any way that it came pre-assembled). They try for like 5 minutes to get it through the door, then took pictures and gave up. They handed us off to the customer service line where we said it shouldn't have come pre assembled since we paid for delivery which included assembly.

They then told us that the only assembly included (which was never mentioned by our sales person) was the pillows being put on the couch (YES THEY THINK THAT IS ASSEMBLY) and putting the feet on. They then told us it would cost another $180 dollars (for a $700 couch) for "breakdown" service, where they take it back, disassemble the product (it shouldn't have come assembled), then bring it another day.

We told them we weren't declining service, rather they were bait and switching us and we demanded they bring it back disassembled as that is what we already paid for. We contacted the BBB for a follow up and the representative who responded said we were in fact offered the 180 dollar service in the first place from our sales rep (which we never were, again, we were offered white glove delivery and a warranty for 160, not 180). This is a straight up lie. They also tried to say we cancelled the delivery, which we never did, so again a lie (that's 2).

As of now they still have our money, the couch, and a declined delivery they said we made but never did. If we did cancel the service we should have been refunded. As of now they have not provided one service, nor the product we purchased for after withholding information from us and claiming they have offered services which they did not do until after the failed delivery where they did not properly explain assembly for that specific piece we purchased. This store and company should be ashamed of themselves and buyers must beware. Do not fall for their bait and switch tactics. Please take your money and time elsewhere as they will waste both.

July 11 – Ottoman delivered no issue.
July 30 – Only one sectional piece delivered. The other was reported broken and never loaded.
August 14 – The missing piece (Marelton left-arm facing sleeper sofa, 5530510) was delivered broken.
I sent photos via text, chat, and emailed. Since then, I’ve been chasing Ashley for answers:
Aug 14 – Reported issue through multiple channels.
    Aug 19 – Told I’d be contacted within 48 hours. I wasn’t.
Aug 21 – Told replacement was approved and I’d get a call with delivery date. No call
    Aug 25 – I emailed. No response.
Sept 5 – Called. First rep said she couldn’t help since it was an online order. Transferred, then told case number closed and a new case had been opened. Put on hold so she could review the case and after some time, I was disconnected.

Called back → told the new case was closed. Put on hold again to review the case and again I was disconnected.

👉 At this point, Ashley Furniture has delivered me broken furniture, closed multiple service cases without resolution, and failed to provide any replacement.

I simply want what I paid for:
    ✅ A new, undamaged sleeper sofa (5530510)

This level of service is unacceptable. Customers deserve better. If I could give zero stars, I would.

But the customer service area is just terrible! Three of the new recliners have a faulty mechanism for the headrest- it doesn't work. We called the service area and waited but nothing happened. Called a week later to find out our case had not not really been submitted, although the representative gave me a case number. The second person actually submitted it. A week later, I called to see why we had no action and was asked to get on the floor to take pictures of the serial numbers to email. I'm 78 and thought that was a bit much when a technician could handle all this easily. Well I did that and emailed them. Then still waiting. Today I received an email to check connections again before they order new motors. Still, not a real person to help or come to our home to check them out.

This is in stark contrast to a Tempur-Pedic bed I bought at Rooms To Go. It had a mechanical problem when they set it up. They sent someone out right away. The repair person could not fix it, so they replaced the bed and it's worked fine. I was impressed with their service. All was remedied in a week. I have bought Ashley furniture before this and all was okay, but I'm really disappointed in their customer service to take care of my problem with the recliner mechanism. It's been much too time-consuming for us, the buyers. They have been very buyer-unfriendly.

They stated that they took pictures and would have someone come fix it. That’s when the real nightmare started! Ashley sent a repair person to my house with no notice when I was 700 miles away.

From there I have called, chatted and angrily spoken to 7 people requesting a full refund since they can’t fix it and I didn’t pay for broken brand new merchandise. I have had two appointments they scheduled and then cancelled with no notice, a mysterious package show up with what I assume is the part to fix it and 100% disappointment and lack of resolution. I plan to load it up in my car and go into the store personally and see what I can get to happen… or at least save some other folks the same experience by steering them to literally any other place to buy furniture… even Goodwill. 0/10. So they refused to do anything about it. They told me to get a pill comb which I had already used on the couch. In addition the cushions are badly put together. This has been one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. The salesman entered my phone number incorrectly because of auto-correct on the iPad. I immediately corrected it and even provided the right number in writing, but Ashley never bothered to update it in the system. Because of this, the delivery team kept calling the wrong number. Even the person who got those calls told them it was the wrong number, yet Ashley still failed to correct it.

Because of this incompetence, my delivery was rescheduled without my approval. My entire plan was ruined — I had to change my travel tickets and pay $600 extra because Ashley could not handle something as simple as updating a phone number. My original confirmed delivery date was August 16, and now the “latest available” date suddenly became August 20.

What makes it worse is that on August 4, I even received a text confirming that the item was available. How does something that was in stock suddenly become a “backorder”? This makes no sense and feels completely misleading. It is pure negligence and irresponsibility that a company of Ashley’s size cannot manage basic customer data or deliver on commitments. This entire situation caused me unnecessary stress, financial loss, and a ruined schedule. Ashley needs to be held accountable for this level of incompetence and failure in customer service.

Worst customer service ever. Sold us a bed that with foundation and mattress was too high off floor (33 inches). Called next day and told wanted to return foundation. After many more calls over several days they would not do it. Spent thousands there over several months, but this is how we were treated. Never again!

If I could give this company a zero, I would. I used to shop here, but every piece of furniture I bought would fall apart within a week. To make matters worse, when I reached out to their customer service, I expected some kind of understanding, but instead, I was met with hostile and extremely rude customer service. I will never shop here again and do not recommend anyone purchasing from this company.

My husband and I bought a couch, chair and ottoman in April and not only did the cushions compress rapidly but the wear of the fabric looks like it's over 20 years old. We have tried working with them but they keep passing this issue on to other departments. They now claim that this is normal wear. If they think this is normal then that speaks volumes about their product They finally sent us ONE new cushion but that doesn't resolve the rest of the furniture ex- the other cushions, the ottoman or the arm of the chair and couch. We will have to be requesting repairs every few months. Keep in mind we hardly use this furniture and the look of it is unacceptable. I'm sure they wouldn't want this furniture in their home.

In June, I went to Ashley Furniture with the intent on looking to buy an end table and sofa table to match my remodeled living room and furniture. I found a set that I liked, however I was cautious about purchasing the furniture because I was worried it didn't match. I asked the salesman if I could return it if I didn't like it. When he told me that I could I trusted his word and purchased the furniture. Two months later (August), the furniture was delivered. I told the driver I didn't like the furniture because it ultimately didn't match the furniture. The driver replied that I would have to call the store itself and they don't handle those issues.

I agreed to sign for the furniture and then called the store where I was told that all sales are final, they don't take returns, and I was misinformed by the salesman. I was even told me the policy was on the receipt. It's on me that I should have read the receipt in its entirety, but I also trusted the salesman to be honest and not to say what I want to hear so he can make a commission.

So in 2022 my husband and I made a significant purchase with Ashley. 1 large tv stand, 4 end tables, 2 leather recliners, 4 lamps, etc. In July 2025 the mechanism on my recliner broke no longer releasing the recline position. My warranty showed 1 year on parts and a 5 year limited warranty. I visited the se pdx location on 82nd. Was told Ashley store was now a franchise and I had to deal with corporate. So I sent in my info just to find out they discontinued the chair and was told they can't get parts for it!!! What awful customer service!!!! Funny thing is all the chair needed was a new cable to be installed!!!! My husband ordered the replacement mechanism with cable on Amazon for $10 bucks and it's fixed! I won't be doing business with Ashley in the future. They also asked me if I purchased extended warranty on the chair??? If so would they just of said, "Sorry it's discontinued"?????

Ashley does not disclose its return policy (no returns, refunds, or exchanges) until after the purchase is complete. The policy, located on the customer receipt, states that they do not provide refunds or exchanges. Of course, that's too late. They also do not return phone calls. I have left numerous detailed messages but have not received a return call from the store.

I ordered a couch from their online store, the couch came in two orientations that you chose from left or right. The diagram was wrong and they sent me the wrong orientation…. That’s just the beginning. I called and waited for over an hour on hold. Finally got ahold of someone and I explained to the person who hardly knew English that I needed to replace the couch for the correct orientation. They set up a pickup and delivery, they came and picked them up but didn’t drop off the correct couch. So I called, was again on hold for an hour. Finally got a hold of someone and after about 20 min she said she would call back… Nothing. The next day I get an email from PayPal saying that Ashlee sent a refund but it was 700 dollars short of what I paid them…. I will NEVER EVER EVER use them again.. And I will get my money back!!!

It was over $400 and when I called they said they sent me the refund via mail and sorry I didn’t receive it, but now it’s expired. Too bad for me. They said maybe if I come in and shop they will try to give me a discount. That’s insane. It’s MY money I’m asking for, not a handout or discount. I will not be back - but I’m sure they don’t care.

If you make a purchase at Ashley and give them you phone number and email, BE PREPARED. You will receive a barrage of emails and texts and calls as they promote the store and sales and finally try to schedule delivery. Don't believe anything the sales person says about availability and delivery. The AI (Artificial Ignorance) computer system will arrange that. The computer scheduling starts by offering deliver DAYS by text. No time range offered. The computer is very persistent at emails, texts, and phone calls to get a day selected. The caller calls from a call center in the Philippines. They talk fast with heavy accent so it is hard to understand them. They say "Dis is Maria with Ashley....' so fast you have to ask them to repeat. No Ashley Furniture, just Ashley said very fast. The phone connections garble the voices making understanding the fast and heavy accents even harder.

If you try to call Ashley Furniture, even the local store number, the call director recognizes your phone number and addresses you by name and puts you into the robot call director system with no escape. If you try to speak to a real person, you get the Philippines Call Center. The only way to get through to the local store is to use a different phone that the number they have on file.

I was so frustrated with the delivery scheduling system, I tried to arrange to pick my love seat up at the distribution center. Multiple attempts to change it from curb delivery to customer pick-up were made over 4 days but never completed. Customer pick-up is not available at the store. It was miles away in an industrial area. A store pick-up option would have been helpful. Every other furniture store I've dealt with offered store pick-up. The day before, the computer will email, text, and call to say the delivery time.

My delivery time was stated as between 8 and 11 am. If those times were not acceptable, delivery would be rescheduled. The texts started coming at 7:30 am saying the delivery would arrive at 7:43 am. They did arrive at 7:43 and were gone by 7:52. My love seat arrived in good condition which is surprising. The truck was loaded to the ceiling. As they opened the roll-up door, furniture was falling out. The delivery driver was great. The telephone, text, and emails are unrelenting. There is no access to an American English speaking customer service agent on a clear phone line.

Title: Worst Furniture Experience – Stay Far Away from Ashley Fairfield. I normally don’t write reviews, but this one needs to be said. I purchased a complete living room set and additional items from Ashley Furniture in Fairfield, spending over $3,000. It’s been just 4 and a half months, and the furniture is already falling apart. The fabric is curling up like a bowl, and the quality is unbelievably poor — like something you’d expect after years of use, not just a few months.

This isn’t just about the defective product — it’s about how Ashley Furniture completely failed to take any responsibility. I called customer service, and the first thing they asked was: “Did you buy the extended warranty?” That says everything about this company. If you didn’t, they basically tell you “Too bad, we’re not helping you.” I spoke with a representative who claimed they would talk to a manager. One of the managers, Jane, didn’t even have the courtesy or professionalism to get on the phone and speak with me directly. I reached out multiple times — zero effort, zero care. It’s a shame. I’m currently building a brand new house and furnishing it from top to bottom — but Ashley just lost a long-term customer. Everything looks nice in the store, but after a couple of months, it all falls apart. That’s what I call a scam.

For comparison, years ago I had an issue with a dining table from Raymour & Flanigan. After 9 months of use, it started peeling. I called their customer service — they didn’t ask questions. They came, picked it up, and replaced it with a brand new one. That’s a company that stands behind its products. Ashley, on the other hand, deserves zero stars. Their products are cheap in quality, their customer service is careless, and their management hides behind reps instead of standing up and addressing issues. If you’re thinking of buying from Ashley — don’t. Take your money to a company that actually cares about its customers and the quality of what they sell. I regret every dollar I spent there, and I hope this review helps others avoid the same mistake. Shame on this company.
