    Westlake financial is horrible. Our auto loan was paid in full and we needed the title to sell the vehicle. It took them 6 weeks to send it. We called 7 times each time being told entirely something different. We were first told it was already in the mail then told it would take 2 weeks then told 5 other things. I would avoid this financial company all together.

    Customer service is a joke, they charge extremely I would say illegal high interest rates. But they are very great at collecting money but when it comes to help, all you would hear is, I'm sorry I can't help. Very disappointed they take advantage of people. Must be investigated and potentially shut down.

    This fraudulent bank (Westlake) deals with scandalous contracts that makes it hard to get out of. This bank is located in Los Angelos which is operated out of a suite. This banks also provides false gap insurance to buyers and once you pay off your whole purchase they will not overturn the title to your vehicle. This place deals with harassment of its customers to pay even after you return your vehicle. They will text, email, and mail you multiple times telling you that they bought the contract to your car and that you have to sign another contract to pay them. When I received calls from Westlake it was always the same person that would contact me. It’s mind bothering and depressing and it seems hard to get rid of these people. Fraud fraud fraud.

    A mobility van was financed through Westlake. Unfortunately, the van was no longer needed and sold back to the company it was purchased from. When the auto payment was canceled, Westlake took a car payment anyways. They were informed that the vehicle was sold back to the mobility company. However the mobility company didn’t pay the car off before the car payment was due.

    When Westlake was informed of this, they told me it would take 21 business days after the car was paid off. In the meantime, they helped themselves to my account and took the car payment without authorization. I find it so amazing how they can instantly take your money, then to have it returned I have to wait. Horrible customer service. I will never do business with this financial institution again.

    I am very thankful for Ryan **. I have had Westlake for many years but I owed them money. He is the first person who actually helped me create a payment plan that worked for me and was kind during the process.     I worked with an agent named Garland **. He was not only helpful and efficient in helping me resolve my business, but he shared a personal experience regarding the passing of his mother. My mother passed from COVID-19 and I am grieving. Garland's mother passed two years ago and he told me that he understood how hard it is. He gave me an analogy saying the God was simply calling His child home, just like we as parents call our children to come home from playdates, etc. The analogy gave me a new perspective and made me smile. He is a great person and an excellent customer service representative. Companies need more representatives like him who understand what people are going through. He helped me not only resolve a debt, but most importantly I accepted his guidance as a message from God, to let me know that although it is hard, everything is going to be alright!

    I this is the 2nd car that is financed by Westlake. currently already have an existing loan with them, which I pay through their app online. I recently purchased another vehicle and unfortunately ended up being financed again with Westlake. In my humble opinion, and I’ve had many car loans in the past, find them that absolute worst company. No advocacy for the lender at all! And no one seems to know what’s going on there. So, trying to pay online but I see no Avenue on the app to add another loan. I call them 3 times to get direction. The first 2 representatives say it can’t be done. The 3rd rep tells me it can be done and gives me direction. It took 3 people to get the right answer and if I hadn’t pursued, I never would have known. Thank God there was one person there with an ounce of brains! If you are choosing a lender, I would not recommend them.

    Ryan ** in their customer service department has changed my mind about customer service single handedly. He went above and beyond, explained everything and was glad to answer any and all of our questions and concerns. He treated me and my family's situation with understanding and compassion and used all of the tools at his disposal to help us come to a resolution.

    Whenever we ran into a snag, he was always able to find a way to try and resolve it, which is an invaluable trait. He was amazing and I have hope for humanity once again in the customer service world. He deserves every possible acknowledgment and promotion and raise he can get because I have never experienced any customer service this exceptional across the board. Westlake is lucky to have him and his superiors should be made aware. They have a rare jewel among them and he should be rewarded.     I purchased a Nissan Altima last November 2020 and purchased an extended warranty. I was charged over 1,200 for it and NEVER USED it!! I had way too many minor problems with this vehicle and I did not keep it long as the owner of the car lot bought it back in March of 2021 and I haven't touched it since! I was driving several different loaner cars. And now that I have requested a refund of this warranty contract, they only issued me a check for a little over $200!!! What? ** They said it was based off the ending mileage. I did not drive it hardly and then they INSULT me with $200!! STAY AWAY FROM THESE VULTURES!! I WILL PAY MY CAR NOTE OFF AND NEVER USE THIS FINANCE COMPANY AGAIN!!!

    I purchased a truck Financed through Westlake last year. I paid it off early never missing a payment. I initially received incorrect paperwork for the dmv to register my car. This had seemed to be worked out, however I cannot get my title due to lack of customer service resolutions. I’ve called several times with no success. I’ve contacted them at least 7 times trying to resolve this issue and I get the same exact scripted lines with no results. I can’t register my truck nor can I sell it as Westland won’t dealer the title. I only have one choice left and that to seek legal representation.

    Beware potential customer. You are prequalified and then sent to dealerships who will lie and tell you they don’t deal with Westlake Financial. It is not your credit report it is then a scam. I have been trying to resolve an issue with a discrepancy with regard to my application for a car loan with Westlake Financial. I was informed that the paperwork that was faxed over by the lien holder to your office was not given to Westlake. In addition, there was never an application at Westlake submitted by your dealership at all. I had to forward a copy myself and also my credit reports shows I have 2 auto loans when I do not. I have proof of these discrepancies.

    I understand you found another bank that would accept my application with more money down and a higher interest rate. However, I do not think it is correct to do this if I can provide all of the documents to support what is incorrect in my credit report. I have also reached out to the credit bureaus to correct the information ASAP! Finally, it is wrong say I am denied when in fact, no application was submitted and then to ask me to come in with a cash down payment on an application that was never submitted. I want all of my paperwork shredded. I do not appreciate my time being wasted.

    I paid my loan off in May 2020 yet Westlake Financial did not report it paid until last week and it was only done then because I am looking to purchase a new vehicle. When I called them to check on another loan I was told I still owed $1,000.00 but I had paperwork in hand saying paid in full. I could not understand why my credit score was so low but now I know!

    This is shocking. I cant believe Westlake Financial let the dealers get away with this. MacAuto sold me a lemon. Ongoing issues with Check Engine and its light keeps blinking. I purchased 2010 Jeep Liberty 4x4 Feb 27, 2020. And 1 1/2 weeks later, the problem started. I took it back a few times and still the "Engine Light" popped up after picking it up a few times during COVID pandemic and drove to dental appts in Fontana when he closed up the shop in mid-March 2020 to May 2020 so it ruined the 30 days warranty. I was upset. So I had to leave it at home due to hectic work at Amazon using my old 97 Jeep GCL. But the rain and coldness started so I called and he said nothing he can do since warranty was over 5 mos but to see what it needs. Wth.

    So I took it to my mechanic Oct 2020 and he said it has too many problems for the $9,000's 2010 Jeep when it should be sold for $3000-4000 cuz of "Engine Light" and a skyslider which left the headliner wet and stained so bad and ruined. My grandkids can not be in my Jeep since it's not healthy. Worse the exhaust smell went inside... I want my full money back from mechanic/Westlake!! Lawyers said they cannot help since it's not newer. I sent Westlake photos, video, texts between me and dealer, and MY mechanic receipts via OneDrive link as I cannot upload to email due to their large size. My mechanic said it's Westlake's job to take care of shady business. He doesn't want me to blow my money on any more repairs as it WILL BE ongoing issue after I took it in and paid almost $400. If not, he told me to hire any lawyer... and I asked Westlake where does it say "Buyback" on those forms I uploaded and linked to OneDrive? NONE.

    They let dealers get away with problematic vehicles? Geez. Dealer told me he sold the vehicle I traded in, in 2 weeks. But 2004 Jeep I traded in has rattling problem in the engine. Just 2 weeks! So it's driven 4,000 mileage now and have to leave it there and use my old 1997 Jeep again... This is so upsetting. Don't deal with Westlake Financial if they think it's ok for dealers to sell high prices on older vehicles with 116k more or less with ongoing problems. Still looking for the lawyers...

    This is ridiculous. I signed a contract for Pelican Auto in 8/2016 and made my first payment in 10/16 and proceeded to have on time payments each month until 2/2018. On 3/16/2018 I received an email that my loan had been transferred to Westlake as of 3/15/2018. I then faithfully paid every bill on time up through 3/2020. That month I lost my job due to COVID.

    I called before my due date in April seeing what my options were because I couldn’t afford the bill, since I wasn’t working. I was told my only option was to pay the bill or get an extension that would make my bill due in 2 weeks. I explained to the rep that an extension did me no good, because I still wasn’t working in 2 weeks. People continued to call me and I still didn’t have the money. A few months passed and I was able to get some money to pay and I made a payment of $2000+ in October.

    I still didn’t have much money, so I paid the bill when I could. I paid for every month being late anywhere from a couple days to 2 weeks late. BUT I ALWAYS PAID IT. Fast forward to March 2021, and my last payment of $400 was due, and I was struggling to come up with the last payment. I came to find that my car was picked up for the Last payment!!! This makes absolutely NO SENSE. NONE.

    Just look at the payment history. I can see if I never paid on time. If I was late from the moment I started the account. That’s not the case. Look at the history of the account. You can clearly see I’ve been struggling to pay the $500 since Covid. I made 41 straight on time payments from 2016-2020 for $18,000+. Then I paid another lump sum of $2,000+ in October of 2020. Then I continued to pay almost $500 a month from October 2020 to February 2021. Look how much money I’ve put into the vehicle and it’s clear to see I plan on keeping it. And you repo my car that has 1 payment left on it??? No, now that’s just absurd.

    You just don’t do that. You don’t. Why? Now you're talking about paying $3000 to pay the car off, or $2000 to get the car back? And come up with that money in less than 2 weeks. That ridiculous!!! If I had that money, I would’ve paid it when it was due. This is shady business all the way. Who makes these calls and these decisions?? Someone has to explain this to me other than the people I’ve been speaking to. The rep Maria has been somewhat helpful, but there needs to be somebody that will have a solution to this. Cause me paying $3000 is NOT IT. The supervisor is never available, and I find that to be even more ridiculous. Contact me with a rational solution ASAP. And only a supervisor.

    I had the pleasure (And it's not the first time. I wish I could recall the woman I spoke with the time before this one...) of talking with Christopher ** today. He had some bad news for me. I explained to him my dilemma and, I assume he was in contact with his supervisor at the time (whom I'd also like to thank) he listened, asked how I was doing now and we came to an arrangement that I'm happy with and I hope they are as well.

    This company has been nothing but cooperative and helpful and the fact that I am not dealing with an automated system makes it that much better. I hope (but think that I'm wishful thinking) that I can do business with them again, someday. Sometimes life takes a huge swing at us and when it connects, it can really knock one down. It connected with me, not just once, but twice in less than a year's time and I got behind, but I'm back up and running and feeling better than ever and I pray that's considered. If not, thank you for doing what you do.

    I received a call from a CSR about the last payment of my car, I usually make 365 and the last payment was over 800, which surprised me, I have made a payment of 400 and promise to make the rest very soon since it was a slap. I receive a call from a CSR, very rude and disrespectful, who doesn't listen to customer, insult, and threatening me because I was not able to provide him and exact date of when I will the last payment. Never experienced a such of bad quality customer service from this company ever, this CSR changed my point of view with the company.

    In regards to working with Westlake Financial, my experience has lead me to consider legal action. The customer service representatives are extremely fouled and hang up when called upon for any information regarding my vehicles auto loan title, I believe there is fraud performed for I was not there in the process to consent to sign any paperwork regarding the vehicle and auto loan under my credit using my name. Every manager that I’ve spoken with have failed in every which way possible for guiding me on the right direction. They are incompetent, this business is hazardous as does pose a threat to anyone’s personal information. The amount of complaints that have been left for Westlake Financial should label as a warning to each and every individual to heed caution before working with Westlake Financial.

    Joseph, a representative of the company called me today and help me with my payment and took the time to answer questions regarding how my contract works. He was a delight to speak with and very knowledgeable in his field. I wish every time I make a payment I can just speak with him directly. My perception of Westlake was pretty bad, but after speaking with Joseph, I can honestly say that he has made an impact and changed the way I perceive Westlake Financial.     My father bought a car for my niece, his granddaughter and was financed through Westlake Financial. He passed away Jan 2nd 2021 due to COVID. My niece has continued paying the payments and the insurance. My mother called because they were taking out DOUBLE payments for each month in January and February, and blamed it on the auto pay! My mother, his wife of 43yrs (listed on death certificate) was told they would not deal with her at all and that she needed to surrender the car. She explained the situation to up to 4 representatives at the company still refusing to accept the paperwork we had and fix the issue because we were not my father! She finally got a supervisor who explained that even if we kept up with the payments and paid it off it would never be HERS because my dad was no longer alive and could not authorize it.

    My mother went to the CA DMV and asked for their assistance and maybe transfer to her name. They advised her that this company was in fact WRONG and explained once the vehicle was paid off and the title received (In my father's name) that they would accept the death certificate and change it to my mother's name since she is listed as surviving spouse)! She then called Westlake back and spoke to supervisor again and he straight out said that what the DMV didn't matter and that we had 30 days and they would be there to pick up vehicle! How do you take a vehicle that is being paid for and the owner's surviving wife will pay the rest of the loan off and you refuse!!!! This is absurd.. unemphatic and ridiculous!! How do they get away with taking a vehicle that has been paid for every month on time and is close to being paid off!!! You cannot argue policy in this case.

    We could've continued paying and never said anything, but because of THEIR ERROR in taking too many payments out we were forced to call. We have honored any and all things under my fathers name and have not been given this much grief by any company like Westlake Financial has done to my mother. She has spoken to this company several times and each time she is left crying!! Never again will we deal with this company. We are also looking into legal counsel to confirm what they are doing is even legal, that's besides the terrible treatment and unwilling to assist a long time customer is extremely unprofessional.

    Every single month I am Charged a NSF fee of $45 when I make the payment knowing I have the money. I have talked to customer service every month and I have yet to see anything done. My car payment is a different amount each month. They are definitely doing something shady.

    As of today (Feb. 5th), in the last 4 months, Westlake Financial has on 3 different occasions withdrew anywhere from $700-$900 from my son's bank account, without his knowledge or prior authorization, claiming that he was past due. In each instance, his account was found to be current. Because of this, these unauthorized transactions caused his bank accounts to be frozen and a new debit card to be re-issued to him. This is a case of both identity fraud and bank fraud by a financial institution. If you are an auto dealer, you should NOT do business with Westlake Financial. If I could, I would rate them with ZERO stars.

    Disappointed by this company time and time again. Wanted to refinance my loan to get a lower APR. My payment history is outstanding but was told, "We don't do that, sorry." I wanted to cancel the gap insurance. They don't do that either. The only thing these bozos do is hinder their clients at every turn. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

    We have had trouble with this company for months. They got a new system and would say our payment wasn’t in or late constantly, it would not update properly. We were late on a payment and at 15 days late our car got repossessed. Mind you, we were told we had 30 days to get caught up. I was going to have another check from my job during that time to get caught up but they took the car sooner. And now we are having to come up with 2 months worth of payments to get our car back. They even acknowledged it was their mistake but said they couldn’t do anything once it’s been towed. This is so unprofessional! This is a big company and to conduct themselves in such an unprofessional manner is not ok.

    When I called I had been having multiple problems with my newest car loan to establish my new account to pay online. When ready to pay my first payment in December I could set up my new account because their data input person had entered my social security number incorrectly. So, my dealership resent the paperwork to Westlake again to correct. Then when attempting to register my new account for online payment again it would not go thru because it was still not corrected. I called in numerous times and was told to try again So, I tried again and still could not establish my account.

    This time it noted that I already had an account using that email address so I called today and told Igie of my problem. He told me to go into my account for the other car and click on the "Add Account." So, I told him that no one else offered this instruction because he listened to me and he knew his business. The CEOs need to go to Igie and have him teach other Customer Service people how to truly assist a client. At this time I admitted to him that I was considering going to another loan company or my bank to take over this new car loan.

    Two of my calls spoke Spanish as their primary language so when they spoke English they spoke fast. I told one guy that, "I'm from Texas and I don't hear that fast. Please speak slowly." He continued speaking fast so I was having to ask him to repeat more slowly. Igie spoke very clearly.. We only had a couple of times when the phone line was cutting out so he repeated for me. So overall, I had a 5 star rated service given by Igie. When I spoke with Romanine in an earlier conversation she was very pleasant to work with. So, 4 calls were not good service quality.

    Medina Cars Ltd sold me a car with a dying transmission for 10,000. They told me my interest would be 21%, as of now they are charging me 55% interest taking more than half of my payments in interest. I have made 22 payments on my car and I still owe over 7,500 on my car. I can send my statements or recordings to anyone. I have recorded all my calls with Westlake Financial just like how they record all my calls. This company is stealing from me and I'm going to expose them. I already got screwed with a dying car and they want me to pay 20,000 for it. Please help me.

    I previously purchased a vehicle with another finance company and had my loan moved to Westlake. From the day it was moved in August, it has been nothing but professional service. First, I never received any information from Westlake regarding the change although my previous finance company said they would be contacting me so I had to research them to find out what was going on. I then received a letter stating I needed to provide my insurance information because their system showed my insurance had lapsed. I have never had an insurance lapse in my life.

    When I called to speak with someone they said this is the customary letter we send to everyone even if it is incorrect so that we can ensure the vehicle is insured. Second, I had paid my car payment so I was 6 months ahead and wanted to ensure that was reflected within their system. When speaking to a representative they said they could not provide me any information until the month that I would possibly owe a payment because their system doesnt update. Third, since August I have had no updates to my credit report. I have called 8 times and every time I am told they will send an email to "someone" who will take care of it.

    The last time I called I spoke to one person who gave me the same run around so I asked to speak to a supervisor. She told me to hold and hung up. I called back and the representative told me it takes 90 days to update the credit bureaus which is something I had never heard so I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was put on the phone with Maria ** who could not answer any questions and told me there was no-one I could speak to higher than her because they dont have phones. I have never had an experience with a company so unprofessional in my life! If it wasnt for the fact that I am in the process of buying a house I would change finance companies but I dont want to take a hard inquiry.

    Worst experience ever. I got my car from Carite in Windsor Locks in September. They set me up with Westlake Financial for my loan and I regret not researching them beforehand. On November 20th, my car was rear ended when I hit my breaks to not hit a deer on the highway and my car was sent spiraling out into the opposite lane facing traffic and caught by a wired guard rail over a ditch. The car was completely totaled. On the 27th, a week later, my insurance reached out to Westlake with a settlement offer. They did not respond to my insurance until over a week later, on the day my interest grew putting my payoff quote over what Geico was offering.

    My insurance then adjusted my pay off settlement to accommodate their request and sent payment on the 9th of December, 4 days ago. Yesterday I was contacted by Westlake in a very threatening manner demanding I make my car payment today on the due date. Again, I explained what happened and said my loan was paid off so I’m released from my debt. They said my insurance never contacted them at all and they had no proof my car was a total loss. Which is completely false because my insurance has provided me with ample proof they made contact and sent me proof they paid them. They then threatened to repossess my vehicle (good luck it’s in a junk yard and I no longer own it).

    Every customer service representative I’ve spoke to was rude, arrogant and completely heartless. When I tell them my frustrations they act confused and then offer me a new car loan, which I not only do not need but also would NEVER use them again. Not once have I been offered condolence for my accident. I paid them early for every payment I was owed and more than the amount that was due. They are thieves. Their only concern is getting as much money as they can, even if they illegally do so. I’ve worked hard to establish good credit and they are now putting me in a position of that being compromised when they were paid off for my loan and I was a good customer.

    I do not deserve this treatment. I’ve now had to seek legal counsel to pursue a lawsuit against them because there’s no hope with communicating with them directly. I hope my story serves the purpose of helping someone in a position similar to mine, avoid being scammed by them like I have been. This past month has been a nightmare thanks to Westlake.

    Just awful service. My car was total loss after accident. For more than 5 weeks, the insurance company could not receive the correct data for the loan payment. And then, when the loan was closed, Westlake sent incorrect data to the credit bureaus with 60 days late payments and my credit score dropped by 114 points! And for 3 months now they have not been able to fix it. Support managers say different info every time, which contradicts each other. Just worst bank...

    I tested positive for covid and asked for another extension and got denied. They are not lenient and they dont care. They keep adding fees and they repoed my vehicle for being 2 months behind when there are other companies that wait till 4 or 5 months before they repo. It's the holidays and during a pandemic you would think they would be more understanding and they aren't. Got hung up once by one representative and every time I speak to any of them they all say different things. It's never the same. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Now it's gonna take even longer to pay off. I regret it. Do not use Westlake Financial. Worst decision ever.

    I became laid off due to covid 19. I contacted Westlake Financial and they had given me the option to move one payment to the end of the loan. Westlake charged me $50 for the transaction and informed me that everything was taken care of. What a lie, had a negative report show up on my credit report that I was over thirty days late. Do not use this company for any loan.

    Accounts are not secured - They don't require email address confirmation. Some fool with the same last as me incorrectly gave them my email address to set up an account. I've been receiving mail from Westlake about his account status ever since (billing statements, etc.) I've been nice enough to not go to the site and do a "forgot password" process, and called Westlake shortly after receiving the first email. They said the address would be removed. More than a month later I'm still getting the emails.

    I called again today, trying to explain to them (as a professional web developer) how large of a security problem this is. They refused to remove my email address from the account, even though I could send them an email Proving it's my account... unless the customer calls in to change it. They put an "alert" on the account, but said customer service can't make outgoing calls... Of course when I asked if they put an alert on the first time I called he claimed he couldn't tell me anything about the account, which just seemed to be an excuse for not saying "no".

    I feel sorry for anyone who has their account with this financial company. I'll be calling to talk to their fraud dept on Monday, which supposedly can make outgoing calls... I'm trying to HELP them, as this security flaw could be a major issue for their company, and I'm not taking advantage of my access to that account, but others certainly would.

    By all means avoid this company when financing an auto loan! They are downright rude and unprofessional. I was once two days late on my payment and they called me six times in a 10hr period, six times!!! for 48hrs late. They refuse to help you in any way whatsoever. I finally was able to refinance with another company and even then they do not want to help you or the company that had to contact them who I went with on my refi. Good day Jackals!!     I purchased a vehicle Westlake approved us for then did not honor the loan. We went with a different bank thinking we dodged a bullet after reading all the complaints on BBB website. We titled our vehicle thinking we are all good. Nope, Westlake put a lien on our vehicle when they have no legal claim to it. They will not provide me with a release of lien letter as they do not have records of our application from June. State will also accept a Affidavit of Non-Interest but alas, the people I spoke to including the supervisors do not even know what that is and are at loss with what to do. I cannot title my vehicle and they cannot even help with one simple letter. I just keep getting sent around in circles or just hung up on. Worst service ever. More than likely will have to solve legally as this company refuses to fix their own mistakes!

    I cannot believe how much of a hassle this company is! Our first car payment was last week Friday! We had the money in the account waiting and waiting to be deducted! Which it wouldn’t deduct so we tried ourself to pay manually, it still didn’t deduct the money. So we just kept that account with money so that it could take out whenever it was ready. Even called the car place to let them know and screen recorded us trying to do it! Now today these people sends an email claiming we didn’t pay for the car payment and wants to charge us $20 fee for it? Are they crazy? I tried calling customer service 4 times! They answered and I someone in the background is clearly speaking and the person then hangs up. So disrespectful and unprofessional!

    Do not work with these guys. They are rude. Have no sense of humor on customer service, extra interest rate deducted from the monthly payment, this company was suggested to me by the auto dealer that I got my car from so I made a deal with them. But they never told me about the additional hidden interest rate change that they apply to your monthly payment on a daily basis without your permission and without informing you about it, I pay $246 monthly but more than 50% of it is cut out as Interest, I'm having to pay double the amount of what I signed up for, by the time I'll be done with the pay off amount I'll be paying double the worth of my car.

    And yet they don't want to help. Instead they'll try to talk you out of it, I called them 4 times. Each time I explained the problem they seem to ask you to stay on hold then hang up on you, completely a fraud robbers. They need to get shut down, talking money out of peoples pockets. You guys should be ashamed of yourself!!

    They really haven’t replied to customers with negative reviews, only positive ones and it’s not a good sign of the company. I have had issues with them recently where they say they will do one thing and then it never happens. It’s upsetting because we are in a pandemic. They should understand what they signed up for too.     Had an auto loan for 5 years with this horrible greedy company. Down to my last payoff of $1400, however, during COVID my family was hit financially and I was not able to make the lump sum. I called to ask for a monthly plan in which the rep stated they had set me up for. Well, when I go to make the next payment, I notice the rep did not set me up for monthly and now I am late by 30 days. I make a payment with one more to go, but apparently they are still counting the days as late although I am paying. I check my credit only to see they have wrongfully reported. I ask them to correct the wrong credit reporting and for a goodwill adjustment on the "late" payment due to COVID and they did not! Still waiting on my pink slip... I really, really despise this company.

    I have been a long time customer and due to Covid I asked to defer one monthly note to the end of my lease and requested documents for my registration sticker renewal. "Maria **" a supervisor was very short, did not have correct knowledge of my account and did not help me to her full compacity. She kept telling me to go to a DMV for my needs when I already did that and the issue was with my loan provider. I asked for another supervisor. She refused and said she is on vacation. I asked for a manager and she also said they weren't available. I asked her to review calls and my account due to every rep telling me opposite information. She stated she is too busy and will get to me eventually. I have been calling since Sept 3rd. It's Sept 17th. She did help me with my issues.

When you're using Financing institutions be sure to research what country they are based out of. There is something not right here. I still haven't been able to talk to a manager.     I would suggest that all your personnel from your Customer Service and all your Management Personnel at that Office P.O. Box 76809 Los Angeles, CA 90054 NEED TO GET EDUCATED ON THE JOBS THEY DO. Every time we call at that office and tell them of our concern, NO ONE SEEM TO KNOW WHAT ACTUALLY THEY DO ON THEIR JOBS. Can not get straight answers. All we get are baloney answers...or their stupid questions of what we're communicating about. It is so frustrating to talk to anyone at that office...as far as I'm concern, these people don't need a job, they don't know their jobs. When I write to them, they claim they never receive my mail even when it is sent via USPS Priority Mail..EVEN MATTER OF FACT...you send a FAX and they claim they don't know anything about it. WOW....are these people on their jobs or what?

    You can not talk to these PERSONNEL with some kind of sense,...they seem to be so lost. You repossessed my vehicle...without written notices or phone calls to tell me that my account is in trouble before repossessing my Truck. We just came home one day and my Truck was gone in my Driveway. We Called the Police thinking it was stolen...our Insurance and it was the Police who told us my Truck was REPOSSESSED. We called Westlake Financial Services Customer Care and NO ONE KNOWS THE FATE OF MY TRUCK. THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW IT HAS BEEN REPOSSESSED BY WESTLAKE. The Attorney whom we were going to hire to communicate for us legal wise to Westlake since no one in your Los Angeles Office knows of the Repossession of my Truck and what legal action we can take against Westlake Financial Services. to get my Truck back, how to get my truck back.

    Our Attorney's advise was to talk to the President or some higher management in Westlake before he can proceed to take a course of action against Westlake Financial. All personnel at your Los Angeles Office supposedly doing your Customer Care DOES NOT NEED A JOB. It seem odd personnel of Westlake Financial at their Customer service does not possess the knowledge and expertise relating to Customer Service..SO FRUSTRATING TO TALK TO THESE PEOPLE. You're fortunate if you find to talk to someone who knows what to do with the concern you are calling them for. Most if not all don't know what they are doing or most likely don't know their jobs are. I wonder why these people has a job...Very poor management.

    I did have a little trouble with their app although it was relatively easy to set up as well as navigate. I also had some trouble with setting up ACH payments. Not the greatest customer service on my first issue with Westlake Financial. However when clearing it up I did receive excellent customer service as well as pertinent information. Fingers crossed I do not have to go through the same issue. However if I do I hope I get the same care and help as I did my second time around.     We are not happy customers. Our country is still suffering from a NATIONAL pandemic with the Coronavirus. We live in Queens, NY and are a family of 4, our two growing kids,12 and 13. My husband lost his job during the pandemic. He was owed back unemployment wages that he is still trying to collect. He recently just lost the supplemental assistance PUA as well. I am a public school teacher, who is now the sole contributor to all our expenses and livelihood.

    When the virus struck, many companies proactively reached out to consumers to let them know that they would be forgiven for late payments or given extra time to pay without consequences. Not Westlake. This company continued to call and harass us during this very distressing time. We made arrangements to pay when we could, but we were treated so poorly and shamed about even having to ask!! There were times when we were called and bothered no less than 5 times a day. While people were dying daily by the hundreds in NYC. This type of behavior is despicable.

    Our mayor and governor have halted rent and mortgage payments so people have a chance to recover. Not Westlake, who once again after the time that they first granted us an extension (that cost money!!??), immediately started calling with the harassing calls daily. Also, my husband was berated by the "customer service" reps that he always had to request to speak with someone else.

    Last week, our refrigerator broke after a storm in our area took out our power. My husband drove to Home Depot to try to buy a part so we would not have to purchase a new one. While he was in the store, our car was REPOSSESSED by Westlake. Without notice! We were 2 payments behind. For this company, that is not much, but for us it is huge. To think at this time that they would repossess a car after only 2 months is shameful. Not only did this happen, but the way my husband was spoken to on the phone was embarrassing. As if we were criminals trying to evade payment.

    We borrowed the money to get our car back because we do need our car as there were NO other options presented by this company. We have always stayed in contact with them during this time to let them know of our situation, but it has always fallen on deaf ears. We were given an extension but we were made very sure that our contract would be going longer and we had to pay for it!

    I cannot understand how a company that serves the public can operate with so little compassion. They should be ashamed of themselves and come up with alternative solutions to support their customers instead of shame and desperation. After looking at the reviews on the BBB and Consumer Affairs, I am clearly not alone. I guess this is the norm for predatory lenders. I think that fair practices would allow us to refinance or modify this loan to get to a payment that is fair and equitable.

    Our car has been financed through Westlake for since March 2019. We have been on time with our payments until covid hit. Called to make arrangements for April and were told they couldn't help us or work with us. Westlake never reports accurately or on time for the exception of our first late payment which they reported as soon as possible to our credit. There was a remark on our credit report that we were effected by a natural disaster. It was odd. Since we were trying to buy a house our mortgage lender pulled our credit and saw this remark, as did our bank and we have screenshots and hard copies of our credit with this remark. We figured it was their way of "helping". We paid it just after the 30 days late mark. A few weeks after paying it, that remark was removed and our credit dripped 100 points! While trying to buy a house. We couldn't buy and our rental lease was up.

    Trying to rent was a nightmare because of that account being late and our credit taking such a hit. We haven't found a place yet and are month to month in our current rental. We called 3 times and were met with attitude. They stated that we never called and asked for help during the pandemic. We have the phone records. They said it was our fault. They were disrespectful to me although I was respectful and professional, I felt attacked for even asking that they work with me due to having 7 kids and needing to find a home. They refused. We called back a week later and spoke to a manager who said that they would not fix it because it was a "business decision and they don't add remarks on credit such as natural disaster".. We have several statements and witnesses but it did not matter.

    The manager said that we could not speak with the department that reports to credit. Which is odd. He claimed that we disputed the account and we hadn't. He made up a fake number to give to Equifax to look up the dispute. I called Equifax and there was no such number or dispute. I knew that already. Equifax helped me dispute it as they hadn't reported May or June as paid and it wasn't only paid... We paid it down by 2k. Right now June was the last report and it's the middle of August! The hardship on my family is unreal, all because of credit we are potentially looking at being homeless.

    We are contacting our family attorney and with be contacting the FTC and the BBB. We will report Westlake to whomever will listen. Warning all that using this company is a mistake. The entire country has been left devastated by the pandemic, I had hoped that Westlake would be understanding. I was wrong. We are now ahead with them and still cannot recover. We bought another car and financed with another company and we have already paid off over half.

    I was approved for a loan but everything I wanted I had to make a down payment. If the price was 15,000 they would only cover 9,000. If it was 10,000 the would cover 7,000. 29,000 they covered 19,000. What good is a loan if I have to come up with 40% of the cost. If I could do that I wouldn't need a loan. Any loan I've ever got rather it be 10,000 or 5,000 that's what it was and if the price was over a few hundred that would be your down payment, to cover what the loan didn't but not this bank.

    My car had been taken for repossession. I called because I have no clue what to do and how to get my car back. I have been lacking in communicating to them since splitting with my husband and he never informed me what was going on with the car, since he is the one who usually takes care of our car payments. However I did not receive a call about my car getting towed from my apartment parking lot. No one asked if we could remove our personal belongings like my kids' school backpacks or anything else we had in our vehicle.

    I spoke with a Ryan ** & and he was so very helpful and patient with me. He explained to me what was taking place and what could happen if I did etc, etc. I made a payment of what I could afford at the time and I have confidence that Westlake Financial services will help me get my car back. Thank you Ryan for helping me out and leaving me with a lighter heart at the end of our call. Keep up the good work!

    This finance company is nothing like any other finance company I have had. Very disappointed and want out. I needed a deferral in June. I paid $50 to get one. I was approved and also offered a deferral for July but when I called to get one for July just so I can get caught up on all my bills due to lack of hours the Representative declined me and said 2 extensions could not be given. All I need is one more to get me back on track for August so I did a payment plan but it’s going to clash with my next payment that is due so a payment plan will not suit my needs. I may be on the verge of losing my car just because agents are not understanding when other financial places give 4 extensions per year. I work for Toyota Financial and we stop at 4 extensions. Westlake won’t even work with you! I need to pursue other options. This covid is out of my control & I'm paying for it.

    My wife and I purchased a 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 through Arriba Motor out of Porter, Texas. After purchasing the truck 2 weeks later a rod started knocking. We have tried and tried to call these people but they won’t return phone calls or will they help us out in any kind of way. We left a call back number and still after 48 24 hours still no call back. They want a payment tomorrow Sunday. Our truck is in the shop and has been for the last month. Please don’t do business with these people. Save your money and find somewhere better.

    Got this loan a couple years ago and didn't realize how crappy their service is. Haven't been working because of COVID so I called to ask if they offered a deferred payment. My other car loan offer 2 months of deferred payments, which is a huge help. Westlake said that they did not offer those type of program. Really? Apart from charge an enormous amount of interest on your loans you can't help customers that have a good record of payment. Where are your morals and debt to society? As a business owner myself my customer's satisfaction is my priority but money seems to be yours. I wished I had the opportunity to investigate this company before I signed the load docs. What a disappointment!!!!

    Westlake Financial Service reposed my truck on camera and the took it to Dezba assets recovery in West Babylon New York. When I went to Dezba they only gave me 2 clear bags with my property from the cab of the truck but not all my Art work that was locked inside the campers shell on the bed of the truck, they'd sent the truck to auction with my art work still in the back and I called, Westlake, Dezba and the auction yard that was 2 hours away from West Babylon. I asked them all to notify me before they sell the truck so I can get my art work but they went on and modified paperwork with the auction to do a fast sale. They got rid of 14 years worth of my art work valued close to $400 000. They would've gotten away with it but I won't stop fighting them till they pay me every penny for my artwork. Scammers.

    I had my car repoed and the tow company had absolutely no repo order from Westlake with them. When I called them they told me the loan had been discharged and they had sent me 3 notices March, April May 2020 in the middle of the pandemic and in LA which was shut down. None of those letters were received nor could they even verify that the letters had even gone out, nor could they verify that even emails had been sent out to also notify me. I had even sent them a change of address notice. The original loan had one amount and then it was lowered, but Westlake never sent new loan documents reflecting the lower payment and why. The receipt of the 600 payment was never recorded, but also never returned to my bank which would have actually covered what they claimed was not paid. It should be noted that no letter from Westlake ever has a date on it and if you do not save the envelope you will never know when it was sent date wise.

    The tow company has been informed they formally trespassed to recover the car, failed to info the the local police and failed to carry the required repo documents with them. Now the repo gets interesting. I was offered a chance to get the car back with title if I was willing to pay 7000, but then it was lowered to 5000 cash, but I was told at first that Kelly Blue Book value was only 7000 so if I let it go I would owe the difference of 2000, but later in the conversation the discharge rep indicated he could easily sell the car on the street for 9000 which is the exact loan amount so why settle for 5000 unless Westlake is cash strapped or scamming the loan holder and why then was the actual bank back side not willing to make the same offer? So is Westlake using missed payments as a way to drive cash flow and scamming loan holders?

    I’ve had my account with this company for 3 and a half years, have never missed a payment and every month they call to harass me about paying them. Now here recently I discover they stopped reporting my last 3 payments to the credit bureaus which totals to $1503. This company is a disgrace and practices like this are downright criminal. I called to get some answers, there are none and they claim my complaint will be sent to upper management. I intend on refinancing my loan with another company as this is just downright wrong and my credit and hard earned funds should not be jeopardized due to this company’s failure to manage their affairs.

    Hello Everyone. I would want to save your time with them by not purchasing a car with them or doing any type of business with this SCAMMING BANK. First of all thing they REPO my Bf car without letting us know. They won’t telling us they had done it until we told them we have cameras throughout the house. We were about to file a police report and that’s the other way they end up telling us but it took them so long to tell us and different representatives to tell us. On top of that they ask, "Why did you miss a payment." IT'S LIKE WTF? Why Are you asking if you all know what’s going on with this world and then you have dang courage to ask why? Please tell me you guys haven’t got COVID-19 or haven’t lost your job or got pay less because of this because you guys are so lucky to have that job still there to pay all bills.

    We will be contacting our lawyer and BBB. They don’t know what they are doing they made my Bf miss a day of work and my son day of daycare. They had us running around and for them telling us some stupid response at the end of the day. Every customer representative should take notes and make sure they leave notes for each other but they are ** ridiculous and don’t know how to do their jobs. This bank will lose their business sooner or later. THANK YOU TOYOTA FINANCIAL SERVICE for understanding the situation with the whole COVID-19. This why you have business from a lot people && to the awesome dealership keeping doing a great job but don’t do business with WESTLAKE and stay away from them help your clients but away from this bank.

    This company is a scam. After 4 years of on time payments they continually hassle me via phone, email and mail even after arrangements have been made "which they never uphold". After the pandemic caused me to lose my job they issued a repossession on my car because my balance of LESS THAN $10. I was able to correct the problem only for them to still come and take my car over 1 late payment and a past due amount of $71 and change. They can have the car but I'm getting an attorney due to the repossession was unlawfully filed and needs to be removed from my credit report immediately.

    I purchased a truck from a local dealership on 05/23/2019. I signed all my paperwork on that day in person and also declined GAP coverage. A few months after, I noticed that on my payments, there was an extra charge for GAP insurance. I have tried numerously to resolve this and get through to a customer service person to no avail, until today after over a year of trying to resolve this, I finally get someone and they tell me I cannot cancel my GAP because of my state law which for one is NOT true! She sends me a supposed copy of my GAP papers which was Docu Signed almost 2 mths later and NOT my initials nor how I sign or initial my forms. It was forged as I never received any forms after the original day especially any Docu Signs. I will be filing necessary complaints with my state officials regarding this. BEWARE!!!

They have received it and cashed it but they have not applied it to my loan. They continue to bill me and charge interest. I don't have this car anymore and Westlake has been paid for the money they loaned me yet they still say I owe them. They actually owe me because the check they received is higher than my payoff.

    Called customer service on 06/06/2020 A Mr. Edwardo ** answered. He was very helpful to help me with my problem. I was having on my account billing for 06/06/2020 ACH billing payment withdrawal? I needed to pay a $5.56 gap ins: payment but your ACH payment center wanted to charge a $5.00 Fee for payment with my debt card to make the payment? If the payment was not added to my account correctly by gap ins: agent when I requested it & agreeded to it on my account? Why do I have to pay a fee! to make payment? When agent didn't do correctly the first time on my account!!! The correct amount is $361.08 for 06/06/2020: but ACH only did $355.52: did not include gap ins: of $5.56 on it?

    May 27, 2020 my car was repossessed. When I called to talk to a customer service rep they told me I had 2000 dollars worth of late fees. I knew this wasn’t true because I pay my car on time. I called the next day and a customer service rep told me whoever I spoke with the day before information was incorrect and I only owe 315.00 dollars in late fees. I paid the 315 dollars the next day and was told that I would be able get my vehicle in 24 -72 hours. Here it is 4 days later and I still don’t have my vehicle. When I call to talk to a customer rep they can’t tell me what’s going on. I’m going to get an attorney because they illegally took my vehicle. You can’t take a vehicle unless you’re behind on payments which I am not!!

    We've kept up with our payments for a year. During this pandemic we needed some help. My husbands hours got cut. I asked for a payment to be deferred and they kept saying call back and they would help. I called back a few times just to get the runaround. Finally they let me know if we didn't pay they would add 10 + dollars a day per diem for late payment. They even asked us about our stimulus check and what we did with it. Rude and inconsiderate people.

    They never helped. Shame on this company for not helping people in a time of need. They would rather people not feed their families in order to get their payments. Every other company has been willing to help us throughout this mess except this one. All we can do is come up with the money and pay until we can't anymore. So much for good companies ran by good people. I hope to pay them off and never do business with them again. Also to let anybody and everybody know not to as well.

    This company’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak has been just awful. At first they promised they would help and pause payments, which was a real relief. However every time I speak to them their rules have changed. It’s gone from ‘don’t worry, we’ll pause payments until this is over’ to ‘actually you need to make a payment at least every other month’ to now hounding me for money and not allowing any help or break whatsoever. The only thing they offered me in their latest call was that I could split my payment in two halves throughout the month - which is of course barely any help at all if I’m not earning anything and don’t know when I will be able to again.

    The worst piece of it is that I explained to the guy who called me what a terrible situation we are in (we’ve just lost our home and had moved out the day before) and he barely acknowledged it, and then asked me how I’d like to pay?!!! Just the most insensitive and disrespectful way to treat anyone. In a time like this when I’ve just lost my home, I’m standing right on the edge of holding it all together and I have to be honest - my experience with this company pushed me over the edge yesterday.

    The thing that really bugs me is that we are paying crazy amounts of interest on this loan because we are not US citizens - crazy, crazy money. Surely the whole reason they can charge that amount of interest is because we are a higher risk - (we are only allowed to do certain work on the visa we are on - so with this pandemic that means it’s extra hard to find work). Isn’t that why we are paying such a high rate? Shouldn’t there be something in place for people in this situation? Please sort it out Westlake. I appreciate you need to survive too but hounding your customers every day when they are clearly struggling, and lying to us constantly is clearly unethical and immoral.

    I'm not paying what I originally agreed to. About 80% of the time I speak to someone over the phone, I have to ask them to elaborate several times as to help me understand the terms or conditions of my payments regarding interest, principal, the additional cost for paying over the phone etc.. I have a college degree, am literate and competent but for some reason I rarely get a solid experience when communicating with Westlake. One month, I had to call a total of four times after being put on hold and/or the call being dropped on their end. This is not the first time I've made regular payments or dealt with a financial institution, so I do have a comparative standard of service that I would expect to receive.

    I'm not the only one that came to mention this during the Covid-19 crisis. I did not lose my job but my hours were cut drastically. My wife is not a citizen so I am disqualified for receiving any stimulus money or unemployment income, but am struggling more than I ever have before. I was told to call 20 days after my payment was due and they would defer the month of April to assist during this difficult time. I've spoke with 3 different people and still understand that the last month of the contract will be DOUBLE rather than extending it one month for a final regular payment. I am also being charged a late fee for this. Nobody mentioned a late fee until I went to see if I could make a partial payment for the month of May.

    I was told with a very cold response, lacking any empathy or understanding whatsoever, that the interest would continue piling up through all of these days and that I could make payments more frequent than monthly if I wanted to see any change in this. Are you kidding me? Business as usual with little to no regard for the fact that I told her I am literally having to choose between rent in full or a car payment. I literally have to depend on the food pantry and strangers from Facebook through to my next paycheck because I can't stand the thought of owing you guys more than I have already paid.

    To date I have paid almost $3,400 and just under half of this is interest. I am being robbed without the gun and Westlake Financial Services should be ashamed of themselves. I have struggled to make my payments on time for over a year and while literally every other major corporation I deal with right now seems to show empathy and understanding, this greedy entity expresses heartlessness.

    If I didn't need the vehicle to take my kid to the doctor and to drive to work to support my family, I would get rid of it in a heartbeat. You guys are taking advantage of average people who are experiencing the struggle of a lifetime and everyone knows that you will come out of this just fine. I can't say it loud enough, you should be ashamed of yourselves! Before you ask me to email customer service, I already have nearly a week ago. No response whatsoever.

    I called back in the end of March 2020 and again in April 2020 to discuss my options. I have had my car loan with this company for over 4 years and have such an outrageous interest rate have already paid double what the car is worth and still have 16 months left to pay on this car loan. My last day of work was March 12, 2020. I work for the local school district so we wont be back to work until September? We are phase 3 - in March when I called I wasnt late so they told me wait and call when you are 9 days past due! So in April I called at 9 days or so and was told they cant help me, no deferred payment option?! WTH?! I have emailed with no response I've called with no solution in sight. What am I supposed to do now?

    My car loan - which has less than a year of payments and is in excellent standing - was sold to Westlake Portfolio that has now sent me 3 pieces of correspondence. Each one has contained fraudulent information about my account, including the balance, the method of payment, and my insurance status. I called and pressed them for information, and while they admitted the balance and payment information were wrong, they insist they were notified by my insurance company that my policy had lapsed (and therefore, they would charge me). When I asked what was the name of my insurance company they said "Your Insurance." Is this even an insurance company?

    This is a predatory lending place that buys car loans and then tries to frighten new clients into over-paying by sending threatening letters. I think they may want new clients to update their information, but the letters they send have false information about being delinquent on accounts or asking for more than the minimum payment required on the account. This company has proven to be employing unethical practices to scare people into paying more than is required according to their original promissory note.

    I called them a month in advance to assist me with moving one payment to the back of the loan in case I needed to. They basically told me to call back and it would be possible to move 2 or 3 payments to the end of the loan due to the world pandemic of civic 19, so I called a day before my due date and they basically told me, "Oh no we’re not providing any assistance and if you don’t make your payment they will repossess the car!" I asked to no avail, "Then why not just tell your customers that from the start", then the rep said, "Oh we just implemented this policy 3 weeks ago!" "Oh fine. Then why not call or email and notify your customers?" Let’s just say I am refinancing with someone else????

    Terrible company. Please go somewhere else to get a loan. Lies, after lies, after lies. So untrustworthy, it has been nothing but a nightmare. I have brought plenty of cars and had some incredible experiences from financial companies but this is the first bad experience I have had. They are like scammers. Somehow, they feel they have to lie, cheat and steal to get customers. Please go with a reputable company like FORD, GM, CHRYSLER, CHEVY, HONDA, someone who knows how to conduct business HONESTLY with no hidden agenda.

    This was my first time financing a car and this has been the absolute worst thing that has happened to me. I had gotten into an accident during the quarantine and my car ended up getting totaled. In desperate need to get back to work the process was long, drawn out and no one could give me a straight answer on what was going to happen next. After weeks of waiting for my settlement to be done I was hopeful that they would be able to help out and at least roll over my remaining balance of no more than 2500 into my next loan because I couldn’t just throw out the remaining balance with everything going on. I’m barely able to work. And on top of that knowing my car is a total loss expects me to still pay 450 a month on top of another car loan since I’m not able to finance with them. Again It would of helped if I was able to pay a minimum of that since I don’t actually have the car anymore. They haven’t done anything to help me and it’s sad.

I have a letter that I received in the mail but they are telling me they made a mistake and it is not valid. They are saying I cannot get any help. I have asked for a supervisor and was told I would get a return phone call but nothing. I called again today and was told their supervisors do not call people back and they cannot help me. Do yourself a favor and RUN from this company as fast as you can!

    I was laid off due to the covid 19 back in March and I have contacted Westlake several times about trying to get some grace period, and they tell me that all they can do is defer a payment for $50, or I can change my due date, or I can make payment arrangements. None of these are helping since I dont know when my unemployment is supposed to start paying, and I havent had a check since April 4th. I'm being charged late fees for every week the payment is late, and they wont do anything at all to help Americans who are struggling because of this pandemic. Very bad business. Dont use them if you can help it.

    I have only been with them for 4 months going on 5. I have made every payment either early or on time, as I set up reoccurring payments. So I call in March When I lost my job to COVID19 and asked what options I had. I was told I COULD DEFER A PAYMENT. But I chose not to for the month of April. But here is May and when I contact them to DEFER that I was told I COULD DO I NO LONGER HAVE THAT OPTION!!!! I HAVE RECEIVED NO UNEMPLOYMENT NO STIMULUS, I CAN'T EVEN FEED MYSELF! So I get the day that my company will reopen it's MAY 15th. But with how paychecks work I wouldn't get one for 2-3 weeks. Wouldn't even be enough to make the payment. You people make me sick, other companies are deferring 2-3 months of payments for people!!!! You offer nothing! You want people to just give their last penny to you! Just WOW.

    I have been with this horrible company for over two years and have never made a late payment - in fact, I usually pay quite early. When I got laid off in March due to the pandemic I called, well in advance of my due date, to see what my options were. The rep told me to wait until the payment was 9 days late and then call back! WHAT?! That didn't make sense, so I called back a couple days later. This rep offered a deferment for the current month and advised me to call back the following month, and they would offer another deferment. Most companies have immediately offered 3 mos, but they refused.

    When I called back about a week before my April payment was due, I was told they are no longer offering extensions or deferments as of April 9, regardless of what their rep told me to do the month prior. I told them I, like millions of others, am still laid off. The rep asked if I had any other sources of income, I explained that I did not, as we are under stay at home orders, and unemployment is completely overwhelmed and behind... I have no income right now. The representative then asked me to use my stimulus payment! I could not believe it. During this incredibly difficult time in our country this unconscionable company has the gall to demand payment from the stimulus check meant to kept citizens from starving or becoming homeless? I am disgusted.

    They lied to me, then added insult to injury by demanding the tiny lifeline we've been thrown. Further, now they call me SEVERAL times a day demanding payment - by noon today, I'd received 4 calls- and I know there will be more, even though I answer every one of them. That is harassment. I cannot wait to get far, far away from this company. I will never finance through them again, and will advise others not to as well.

    I just got an auto loan with them a month or so ago, was due to make my first payment then this pandemic hit. I lost my job which pushed me to make a late payment. Westlake decided to toss out our contract and now I'll be losing over $1500 after my car got repossessed. I attempted to contact them and even offered to make 3 payments in advance but they didn't even consider it. Now stuck with a cash loss, negative remark on my credit and no means to get around. If you can help it, please avoid the company at all cost. If they can't work with you at your worst, they definitely don't deserve your money on your best days.

    My wife and I called the second we knew we would need an extension or arrangements to make our payment. We were told yes and to call back later when the no payment is due to make arrangements. When we did call we were told everything would be ok and we'll be in good standing, that was a complete freaking lie. Westlake sent our file to the review and dropped us for making a payment two weeks late. This is after paying $2500 down and a late payment of $387. Who has that kind of money to throw away, I've been off work since January and the two jobs I was hired in March shutdown before I could start. Just stay away from this place. You will absolutely regret it.

    Hi. This company is not helping to give even 1 days payment deferral because of covid 19. Even I see some other reviews Westlake Financial customer. Other car owners have same problem and this company they know that if we dont make payments so they can put negative in our credit. That why they are very rude talking and not helping American in this pandemic time at all when I have temporary lost of work and other American has like same situation. And they said in other review answer that we call and reach them some email site which I definitely know will not help.

    Please I request every American who has their account westlake financial that you have to file complaint which I am doing like change.org. File application because they cant help out us in this bad situation =. Even other company like Landmark Credit Union giving 90 days and Ally Financial giving 120 days payment deferment.     Car deferment. I been with Westlake for almost 2 years now never been late on my payments. We called today to ask for a payment deferment and they said they were not offering this at this time. I told the representative why ? If people during this pandemic are not working or working barely any hours. She apologized, but did not help. They do not try to help out the customers whatsoever. Other companies are postponing payments for three months and late fees. This is ridiculous! They only care for the money.

    According to their policy it states “An extension arrangement is available to customers experiencing temporary, financial hardship to defer one or more installment payments to the end of the contract term. When a payment is deferred to the end of the contract, the scheduled contract maturity date, or final payment date, will be extended by each installment that was deferred and may result in the assessment of additional interest.” Yet they adhere to their own policies??!?!

    I really hate I financed my car through them! They have no concern for humanity. With all the things that is happening in the world right now how is it nothing that can be done.     Do not finance through this company! They falsified Lien documents and their dealer they chose to deal with hit me with 22 percent plus 12 dollars a day financing and I signed three papers saying that but then all of a sudden my name was typed same way on 20 papers! They already list a major suite and I got about 100 people willing to testify! Your whole family cdd as n did from the virus but if you're a day late they harass your phone. It’s crazy! If you make one late payment they tack on extra weeks 10000 dollars down plus 8000 in a year on a 23000 dollar car and I still owe 19,650.

    The dealer they choose to deal with took my 10000 off the car and not to the bank for a lower interest rate. I even told them I will not pay and revolving daily credit.! And the dealer just said 22 percent compounded monthly! Now I have a Master's in ortho trauma so might not be business but I think I know when I’m being robbed! So the dealer took the 10000 off the car instead of giving to bank for the loan and I never signed a document for 12 dollars a day ever. They copy and pasted my signature in northeastern auto in New Jersey. Now I got proof I would pay them 3 times my car if I stayed with them and they cannot come on your property let alone a garage! They lost a major lawsuit couple years ago for same stuff they are doing now! **. Please email me if would like to take part in new class action! Thank you.

    I’m very disappointed in the way this bank operate. I purchased a car a week ago from a dealership just to return it a week later. I inadvertently gave the wrong employer information on my credit app and during their verification process, they found out I no longer work there. The dealer then contacted me in which I provided my current employer info. However, after provide them with that info I was then contacted again by the dealership whom told me they required 15k down to close the deal. Which was more than half of the total vehicle price. After several attempts to get this deal push through I ended up bringing the car back and now I’m out of a car and no one seems to give a damn. That was a terrible way to conduct business. I will definitely be reaching out to the ceo on this matter.

    They are not helping anyone with their loans, they only will change your payment due date but then they charge you $10 per day along with the amount that is your regular payment. I hope they not getting any govt money because they sure aren't helping anyone but themselves. Every other car company is letting people roll at least 1 payment until the end of the loan. The lady was rude but she did explain that this company is not helping people out at this time (like they have helped people out before?) They will have a whole lot of repo cars on their hands since they are not helping people during this crisis. This is one of those businesses that might not last after the pandemic because they will end up having countless used cars and no prospective buyers, but hey they will keep the repo company in business.

    I called them today because my Payment day moved from usual to a 5th of every month and it does not work with me so I called. There is no other way to fix it in their app which is terrible by the way. Nevertheless after they asked all security questions such as my Birth date, my social, my account number and full address the guy on the phone said that me is not me and refused to talk to me. Also went on to argue with me regarding my Identity. When I asked to speak to supervisor he put me on 12 minute hold and then call ended. I wish I never sign with this company. I will be working on getting my loan refinanced. Even with higher APR it would be much worth not to deal with this company.

    Car deferment. I been with Westlake for almost 2 years now never been late on my payments and I called for a deferment for one month because I’m out of work for the corona virus and they won’t do it. These people are giving me a hassle, they told me that’s why we are getting a stimulus check but I owe child support so people that owe child support don’t get it. Basically they are not here to help you in this kind of pandemic. Customer service suck I even try to ask to speak to a manager and they won’t transfer me to one they hang up on me. I won’t recommend this bank to no one. People stay away from Westlake financial. They suck. All they care is about money not here to help you in bad times. They don’t care. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK????

    Be warned. If a dealer says that you will be financed through Westlake, just walk away. You will regret signing anything with these crooks. They fraudulently reported something on my credit, have harassed me with nonstop calls after informing them in writing to only contact me by mail, and I am just disgusted with the whole ordeal.

    I financed my tahoe in Nov of 2018. With exceptional payment history at 100% for a year. I come home from work last Tuesday and because they didn't post my deferred payment in Nov they took my truck. They left a letter on my door stating I needed to call and in doing so 3 agents later I was called a liar, hollered at until finally in tears gave up. I also was fired from my job due to this incident.

    The fourth agent I spoke to gave me a price which was not my monthly note the only one due...but did say I could have my vehicle back on the 27th. I called today to find out where it was located and due to the letter I received today stating my truck would be sold at private sale on the 24th at 8 am. All my personal belongings are also in my truck. The tow truck driver would not let me recover them before he left my house. So even though they are at fault and I have a 20.000 down payment on time payments I have my vehicle pulled out from under my feet.

    I just lost my husband in a horrible accident and trying to make ends meet with 3 TEENAGERS just to have them strip me of what dignity I have left. I now have no wallet, id, debit cards, etc. I would never recommend them and I need legal help. Because this seems very unlawful. They are denying I place any calls on the 10th of this month. I have call records, they denied they deferred my payment in Nov. I had to email them a photocopy of the transaction, they told me I could recover my vehicle (which should have never been repossessed in the first place) to tell me today they won't honor none of the above things. They are selling it.

    This is the only debit I owe and my credit score was exceptional as of the 12th. Now I have plummeted 64 points in the negative behind their mistakes and did I mention I WAS FIRED FROM MY JOB, LOST MY INCOME WHEN THEY WERE AT FAULT!!! I WANT MY VEHICLE BACK!!!! The letter they "put in my door" on the date of the repo March 10 2020 was not hand delivered. I followed exact directions on the statement and when I tried to explain I had proof the note in Nov was deferred that wasn't taken into consideration nor did they want to hear anything I had to say. The 2nd agent called me a liar and hollered.

    Now if I was late in November why no notices stating that NOT ONE and why now months later are they finally taking my vehicle. Just as I called around 830pm the night of the 10th and got the total of 670.77 from an agent that said she double extended my payment which should have been my ONLY payment pass due for Feb and I would be due to pay it on the 27th like all payments sent in. She also stated that if the first agent would have listened to me I would not have lost my vehicle.

    When I called today about the notice of them selling my vehicle the agent said that there was no record of me calling Tues afternoon and I stated, "Well the calls are recorded and I have phone records proving I called with the duration of the conversation." She said a supervisor would call. No call was placed back to me, I told her that should honor what they tell people and should also make good on their mistakes and she said that at this point it really doesn't matter but yes it does. THEY WERE AT FAULT NOT ME. I have included a copy of the deferred paperwork from Nov. 2019 they said never happened, I have included a photo of my payment history, I have included the letter that was in my door the day the repo occurred, and I have included the paperwork where they are going to sale my vehicle. PLEASE HELP ME I NEED DIRECTION THEY STATE THEY WILL SELL ON THE 24TH.

    They are crooks, this was my first time ever buying from a dealership. I was unaware that my loan has went to default. I believed my payment went Through when I first submit it. I didn’t receive a call, letter or email, no voice message. Nothing! Stating it went into default. I then got a call from the dealership stating my loan went to default. So I checked my account, made a payment and made sure it went through. But today the dealership called me stating I needed to bring back my car 'cause they received repurchased demand letter. I tried calling Westlake to figure out what happened, and how we could fix this but they were rude and were no help. I don’t recommend anyone to go to Westlake Financial Services.

    LUIS ** has changed my ENTIRE perception of Westlake Financial. He was patient and empathetic to my situation, he took time to explain certain terms of my contact in detail and even assisted me with a plan to get back on track. (I had been trying to get my account on track and I called several times for a due date change upon making a payment. Every time I called I was told "you don't qualify for a due date change, it's in your contract" but no one would elaborate, upon other issues.) Luis was stern, but professional and I didn't mind giving him my payment and setting up another. Luis is definitely an asset to the company. I wish I could speak with him every time. Keep up the Great Work Luis!! While I am grateful for the loan I do believe the customer service could be better. Luis is the reason I'm giving 5 stars!

    Our son returned from Korea Feb 28th back home for a month. He refinanced his vehicle back home, and also needs to register it in NY State. All he needs is a faxed copy of his title to NYDMV. He leaves to Idaho March 10. He has called daily to get this title faxed and get nothing but a run around. Now he faces either renting a vehicle at a very high expense, or fly out last minute. The car was registered in California prior to his overseas assignment.

    I find it disgusting that this company is this incompetent to make arrangements for Military or put some sort of a bigger rush on a easy requirement. We have reported as advised by NYSDMV to contact the NY State attorney general to file a complaint and pursue the loss time and damages this may cost him. 48 Business hours we were told us all it would take to send this fax. It is 2020, if this bank is this incompetent and possibly California DMV or whomever we keep getting passed over to, then this is a complete disfunction that will be pursued.

    We put over $6000 down. Within 12 hrs of driving off the lot our truck broke down (limp mode), we spent $200 for a tow back to the car lot. Westlake withheld funds from them until the truck was in "perfect working condition". Obviously Westlake seen an issue since they wouldn't send the car lot our funding until the truck was fixed. The car lot kept the truck for 3 weeks and "claimed" they had spent $15,000 replacing the entire DEF system. Westlake then sent the funding to them because we were told by the car lot that the problem with the truck was resolved and we would not have any more issues with limp mode.

    2 weeks later same issue, truck broke down (limp mode). We spent out of pocket $1200 for repairs, Westlake told us that the warranty was only for 30 days... Hello - The car lot had the truck for the first THREE WEEKS of those 30 days!!! IF the car lot had really spent $15k repairing the truck then why did it break down again only 2 weeks later? (1 week out of the 30 day warranty) We requested to have the loan redone to begin on the day we got the truck back. Westlake wouldn't help nor did they care, they now only wanted the first month's payment on the loan, we made the payment thinking whatever just pay it now that the nightmare was over. Nope!

    1 month later, SAME ISSUE, truck broke down AGAIN (limp mode) another $1200 out of pocket in repairs. We called Westlake for help with the financing because we were spending so much on repairs and asked if they could possibly handle the issue with the car lot not fixing the truck properly to begin with like they had promised to Westlake on day 1. Westlake told us to email all of the receipts for the repairs we have spent out of pocket to Dealer compliance @ Westlake Financial and they would investigate the car lot for not fixing the truck properly like they said from day 1 of purchase. I emailed all receipts per their request.

    We have called and called and called to tried to talk to Westlake "Dealer Compliance" dept for 2 months now but we were told that no one at Westlake can transfer the phone to that department, we were even told one time that there is no such department at Westlake. We were once given an 800 number to call to get an update from "Dealer Compliance" but that number was disconnected.

    These are some of the issues we have had every time we have called Westlake... The customer service does not care about any of the repair issues we've had, they won't help resolve the issues that started on day 1 within the 30 day warranty period, the customer service is extremely rude, they hang up when we ask for Dealer Compliance dept, they have threatened us with repossession, they refuse to let us talk to a supervisor, they claim they've never received the email with the repair receipts and to resend them. I could go on and on. We are done with the run around from Westlake!!! Going forward we will be making payments to an escrow account & contacting a lawyer to try to reach the "Dealer Compliance" dept.

    I was hospitalized for two months. When I came out my car was repossessed because I was behind for those two months that I was in the hospital. I talked to Nicola on Westlake portfolios and she helped me right away, gave a good resolution on my problem and she understood how to help me and now I got my car back and I'm back on track with my car payments.     I have had my car loan for almost a year now and unfortunately I had got let go from my job on top of already living in my car. I received calls from Westlake about my loan and needing assistance..Let's just say they aren’t too nice or understanding. The woman on the line was very rude and pushy with me making my payments. I explained countless of times that I don’t have employment but will be trying as much as I can. The response was not good at all. The rep told me how unacceptable It was for me to try and pay little payments. It was “too low” for them. As I recall the minimum is $15 and I was offering to pay at $30-50$. Now I have a repo flag on my car told me by a rep very harshly as she exclaimed that if I cant get anyone to lend me the money or I make a payment they will take my car.

    I even explained to her that I have no problem paying next week as I just got hired at new job and my starting day was yesterday. I don’t understand how someone can be so dismissive when I explain my pardon on my late payment. No one I have spoke to was helpful nor understanding my situation. I just got a new job and now I probably won’t have a way to get there. Also why is there a $5 surcharge fee for paying with your card, how else can you make payments without the $5 fee?

    Ken, was extremely helpful and understanding of my current situation and even offered me help with changing my due date to better assist me. He was very caring to the fact that I just got out the hospital and that my father just passed away. When we was ending the call he wished me well and hoped that I'd feel better soon and that made me feel really good. This is a good company to have for your vehicle to be financially going through.     The staff are very patience and understanding. They work with you all the way. I'm still making payments so I'm not finish with the insurance company. Is my responsibility to continue making payments even though settlement was proposed. I felt that I will finish paying it all. I no longer own the vehicle so is only fair to own my damaged.     I recently was in an accident. The insurance company deemed it a total loss. The insurance company has already paid the total loss. GAP insurance was supposed to kick in and has not. It took 3 weeks for them to provide me a copy of it. They also are going by California law in the state of Florida. Their customer service seem to give the runaround of who to talk to. I have also been transferred to a dept that is not open until 8am Pacific time during Eastern time hours.. That is 5am. This company has not resolved any issues. They have not gone by the clause of total loss in my contract which stops all interest when a gap claim is established? Plus they call me more the 2x a day which is illegal in the state in which I reside. I'm just not sure how this company is functioning. They haven't updated my credit report since November. This is preventing me to get a new car.

    I have been a loyal customer for two years now and I called today to have them defer a payment to the end of my contract so I was able to have extra money due to a family emergency and the agent I spoke to kept being pushy and pushy and pushy that I give my bank account information and give an exact day on when I plan to pay it at the end of my contract. And then when I said, "Nevermind I will just make the payment when I plan next week on my payment date" and that agent continue to be pushy to get all my account information. To make matters worse I can normally tolerate those who have a hard time speaking English but this individual I don't think knew how to really speak English because aside for asking for my bank account information I really could not understand her. This is not the first time I've ran into this issue. I will not be using this company again once my term is up.

    I did a 1 rating because 0 isn't available!!! I purchased a car through Enterprise Car Sales in 2018. Although I had at the time Fair Credit (697), I was told that because I didn't have any Car Credit, the only company that would finance a car for me was WESTLAKE FINANCIAL and that in about 6 months I could refinance with them. So I bought the car. Six months later, I called to see about the refinancing. Guess what, Westlake doesn't refinance. So there was lie #1.

    I then started looking elsewhere to refinance only to discover that I was what is called "Up side down", meaning that I owe more on the car than It was worth by about 3 thousand Dollars. When I bought the car, I made a $1025 down payment, the car was a little over $11,000 including the taxes and the MANDATORY "GAP" insurance that Westlake has in its policy. As of today 2/4/2020 I have made every payment at least 2 days early and some as much as a week early to the tune now of $5764.03 and my balance to pay off as of my Feb 2020 statement is at $10,055.54. So on Jan. 30th, 2020 I call and made an extra payment "for my principal only" of $900.00. The lady promised me it was applied only to my principal.

    Then today Feb 4th I went to make my Feb. 8th car payment only to discover that it said I owed 0 for Feb 2020. I then called and was informed that a person CANNOT make a extra payment only on the principal and that only $700 had been applied to my principal, because the took the other $200 for interest and that if I made my regular payment by the 8th, $90 of it would also go toward interest. WestLake Financial is set up to make you to ruin you, and prey on those who have no other choices. Unless you want to pay 2x as much as your car is worth, Don't use them and second guess yourself on Enterprise Car Sales. They are both rip off's.

    The car dealership got me a loan through Westlake Financial, and because I made my 1st payment 12 days late, and accidentally selected to make a payment on 03/08/2020 instead of Monday 01/20/20. They said that I had defaulted my contract, and that the car dealership had bought back the truck back from the bank. And that I am now out of a truck and out of my down payment. Westlake should have never allowed me to set up a payment for March if they know that I had to make a payment for the month of January, and that if I did not make payment within 15 day after the 8th of january I would default my contract with them. This is a fraud towards me, because I was set up for failure since the system allowed me to set up a payment for march. The system should have never allowed me to set up this payment, it should have only have one opton, due to they are requiring the first pamnet to de done on time, or within 15 days of due date.

    My son financed a truck with Westlake in July/August 2018. Before the first payment was due, unfortunately my son was facing a extreme (65+years) prison sentence. Immediately BEFORE the Sept 14 payment due date, I called (yes I am his POA) to notify the location of the vehicle for pickup or pay for it. I talked to several people, emailed, submitted POA paperwork, etc with TERRIBLE results. The supervisor to this day hasn’t responded. The ladies (more than one) REFUSED to work with me. I only wanted to return the vehicle or arrange to pay for it.

    Fast forward 17 (yes SEVENTEEN) months... my son offered a cash price. The lady asked how much $ he had, she was informed and she wanted that amount but to pay $2900 within a month, it was ordered for repossession, and my son needed to pay the difference in the sale price. Now I am trying to understand the nonsensical ridiculousness!!! They would not talk, return calls, come pick up the vehicle etc. It has set out in the weather (waiting waiting waiting for pickup) and the tires are dry rotting. Someone please help me understand the logic to this.

    And by the way, I really hope none of those individuals have “problem” children. The most insensitive, demeaning, disgusting, pathetic excuse for a company. NOT one person even changed their tone while I was crying my eyes out. Then today talk to my son and make him feel like he is useless. I am beyond upset!!! I have names, times, and documentation related to the attempts to resolve. Heck, I even called the dealer where it was purchased. Guess what??? No luck there either.

    I purchased a car from the car outlet that went out of business this year in April. They sold my contract to Westlake three months prior to my contract being paid off. When I reach out to them to begin making my last three payments I was made aware of the fact of how disturbingly unprofessional and fraudulent this company truly is. They proceeded to tell me that my car is not paid off until this year 2020. I’ve been paying this car off since I was 20 years old in 2016, it was never easy to make a $400 payment each month. It is truly foul and heartbreaking that they would steal a Vehicle I worked so hard to maintain and payoff.

    The stress of it all caused me to have serval mental breakdowns. Every time I call it is so obvious that no one is working to rectify this situation because it is no mistake. They are fraudulent scam artist and I refuse to let them tarnish my accomplishment. They will pay for the trauma they cause me by way of thier deplorable business practices. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

    My car was repossessed on Dec 19 and I paid the amount in full that same day to get my vehicle back. I spoke with a supervisor by the name of Yvonne. I was told that all I had to pay was my late fees, (2) late payments, and the repo fee was included in the total she gave me. She told me it could take up to 24 - 48hrs to release the vehicle. I then asked if I would be responsible for any additional fees for the duration the vehicle sat in the tow lot while they processed the release paperwork on their end and I was told no. I have called over and over and been hung up on and not heard. I am now being told that I am being charged an additional $453.88 for my car sitting in the tow lot from the Thursday 12/19 until Monday 12/23. I was told that since I paid the day it was repossessed that they would try and expedite the release which never happened. I would have picked up my car the day I paid if I was allowed to.

    Now all I get when I call Westlake to dispute this is told that they are sorry for the misunderstanding. I told them that if their calls are recorded to pull the recording where I was told the exact opposite. Aside from that, when I first purchased the car in Aug 2017 I was with Honor Finance for a term of 36 months. It changed hands to westlake in Sept 2018 and my term changed from 36 months to 42 months. This is not legal. No one is willing to help me on this and I am fed up. I am seeking legal action.
