I called originally to schedule a promise-to-pay because my account had fraudulent activity and was placed on a hold until I get a new card. I spoke with Benjamin who had no clue what I was talking about. Continued to tell me to just “move funds around” and to call us once it’s already marked that the payment was declined/could not go through. Which would result in a late fee and a negative mark on my credit. I continued to ask for a delayed payment date but he had no clue how to do his job. I asked for a supervisor so I could actually get somewhere with my situation and he put me on hold for 15 minutes. Then he came back on the line and offered me a promise-to-pay for 3 days after my actual due date.
I won’t have a new card until 7-10 business days from today. I again requested a supervisor because 3 days wasn’t going to help at all, he placed me on hold and then hung up on me. Will probably fake that he had system issues but I’ve worked in customer service before. His snarky remarks of “it will probably be an hour” means he had no intentions on requesting a supervisor or helping me. I called back instantly after being hung up on and received an agent named Ceejay. Ceejay was amazing and handled my inquiry almost instantly.
Good afternoon, I’m writing this review not for the company as a whole but for a specific agent by the name of Laken I believe out of California. I’m originally an American car center customer, and this transition for my lease has been abysmal to say the least. The first agent I was in contact with was nice, however didn’t give me all of the pertinent information for my account. The second agent I spoke with hung up on me, however the third agent I spoke with today 3/15/23 was hands down your best. I work in finance and when it comes to finances, customers get scared and nervous and I know the same can be said for agents. I'm saying that Laken literally was amazing! She was kind, patient, understanding, and went over everything in absolute detail to help me in regards to my payments and new acct with Westlake.
Overall the company has made me very concerned and leery about the trust I can place in them as a consumer. But thanks to this agent I’m willing to wait and see if everything goes above board as it were. Please know SHE is the only reason I’m willing to give this company another chance. I have an account with Westlake Financial starting November 21st 2022. I called this morning because I had set up a payment and it did not go through and there was some type of error with the banking system. All was their electronic system. I spoke with Tristan and he took care of everything. He was so patient and explained everything to me. He went and found out with the alert was that there was some type of transmission error as to why the payment did not go through. He waived the charge for me to just go ahead and resubmit the payment with him. The experience was fantastic. He even set up for me to do the automatic payment draft monthly so that I would not incur this issue again. I recommend Westlake Financial and I would use them again for any future Financial endeavors.

Until today I didn't like Westlake agents. They all was rude. And made it hard for me and kept valuable information a way from me that I had no knowledge of. Well that all changes today, when I spoke to Maria Rebecca. She explained things so nicely to me. And let me know that they would work with me vs me being told ain't no hope for my situation. I really appreciate her. And I hope whoever gets a call from Westlake or make a call to Westlake gets to speak with her. If I had to give stars, I'd give her 5 stars.

I'm a young millenial in a world that's movinig too fast for me. But there are people like Jose who help us to keep moving even when we fall. I was a young excited woman looking to get a used car that is full of as much personality as I am, and I partnered with Westlake Financial to do so. However, life happens and I got in a situation that didn't allow me to keep up my part of our deal. When I fell too far behind Westlake financial had no choice but to move on.
When I called in for the settlement I was anxious and scared, depressed about how low I had gotten. I was blessed to get Jose who walked with me step by step to find the best options for me, allowing me to breathe a little better about the direction I'm going in. I'm so grateful for his expertise, patience, and compassionate personality. It's people like him that make moving in a world moving too fast for us, a little bit easier. Thank you so much for all you do Jose! I wish only the best for you!! May your compassion bless you everlasting!

I called to request information about the principal on my loan. I spoke with TAM who was so helpful and kind. He answered all of my questions so I could understand the process. This was my second call to Westlake Financial. I give them another 5 stars for their GREAT customer service.

Fernando ** (ext. **) was really helpful working out a payment plan with me. Made the whole ordeal a lot easier to deal with and he understood where I was coming from and why I fell behind on my payments.
