    I have been going through some really tough times and Westlake has really came through for me. Yes, at first the transition was rough and a lot at the beginning, due to neither one of our faults, with that being said, after honest communication we have came to an agreement and understanding. I appreciate the opportunity to get back on track, thanks to Westlake Financial who has been very patient, polite and a great help. Please communicate, don't be afraid and be honest with the people you owe. You never know what help you can receive. And if the 1st call don't work, keep trying. Thank you Westlake Financial.

    I got email. Was very untrustworthy. Mr ** was very professional and explained everything. Was a legit company, excellent representation. Very thankful. I couldn’t understand where those withdrawal from my checking account was coming from and from what company. I didn’t know this was a third party affiliated with my previous account so I thought they were scamming as I got emailed from them stating a withdrawal is coming soon. Plus this call was from the Philippines was very defensive providing my personal information.

    I had a problem with the automatic withdrawal system…it was 100 percent corrected by Roberto…He corrected the account numbers and set up a new account… For automatic withdrawal….He collected the past due monies and set up the correct account…to prevent this from happening again...

    Not consistent with what they say lack of transparency. Service is unreliable, do not communicate with customers, not willing to transfer message and received from customers. Very deceitful. Will never do any business with Westlake anymore.

    I called to change my bank account information by phone. They put a wrong account # and charged me late and returned check fees. Now they deferred a pmt but now tell me it was declined. No notification via email, text or phone.

    Worst financial company ever, they are crooks, stay away from this terrible company. They have terrible customer service. I had a car loan, never received a statement or a call from them, when I received my statement I made a payment right away only to find out that my payment was late 14 days and the loan was canceled, thieves.

    I had a contract with US Auto Sales. They went out of business. I contacted them to make a payment only to find out they were temporary closed. Not knowing I assumed they would open back up but they closed and apparently sold the contract to Westlake who never contacted me and I never knew until I called the number for US Auto again and it transferred me over to westlake. The call was lost and I Googled westlake and the number listed was no in service. So I called back and a WL rep answered and I explain to them what happened and that I never signed a contract or agreed to any loan with them, They repoed the car with all my laundry from a address that had nothing to do with me. This was so unfair.

    The fact that I never missed a payment with us auto and they never let me know they turned over the contract. And also I wasn’t given an automative. I’m thinking it’s a scam. I’m not about to send my money without a copy of my contract or something legitimate. They want me to pay 1200.00 to get the car back but I won't get it the same day and wants me to send it Walmart Express. This is wrong and they need to be stopped. My car should be returned and if they truly took over I should be able to start with my monthly regular payment and a contract, and all the information they had for me was old and needed to be updated.

    This has to stop. This is not what a car buying experience should feel like. The fact that I have a child that has a lot of appointments. If anyone reading this know of anyone I can reach out to that can help I won't hesitate. It would be a cold day in summer if I send my money to be taken advantage of or scammed. Help please if you are reading this and can help!!! Some of these reviews if not all are true they need a suit filed against them for all the wrong they have done!!

    My issue is this. I recently had a repossession and called to get more information regarding it. I was told the amount I needed to produce to return my car. I paid that amount on 9.09.2023. I had to drive to SC to get the car. The next day I called Westlake to see what was next and if I needed to do anything else. I was told that I needed to contact West Direct since I was almost done paying for the car. My car was repossessed for a month. So, I called west direct and spoke with a respectful gentleman that explained that I had 5 more payments left and by the 5th payment to call in and they will put me a on plan to purchase the car. I only had the car two weeks and last Tuesday and I go outside, and my car was gone.

    I called Westlake and a rep told me they took the car because they didn't receive a “letter stating the finance balance" wasn’t sent over and once that’s sent over, I can go pick up the car. I called West Direct for 3 days straight and got transferred over 8 times. The person who accepted my phone call said that I needed that letter first. So, I call Westlake back explaining that. I’m on hold for a long time. The guy comes back to the phone this morning and tells me that his supervisor is sending the letter over to the repo place for me to get the car. I called the repo place, and they haven't received anything.

    Nobody from Westlake or West Direct or my contract says that I need a lump sum of money to get my car back. I was told I had to make my 5 payments and then they would put me on a plan to begin purchasing the car. I have spoken with so many people that have given me incorrect information or finding out stuff nobody ever told me. I am devastated that no one wants to fix the problem. I never knew anything about them taking the car after the maturity date. I found that out the other day as well. I don’t know what to do. All I have done was follow either what was emailed to me or what was told to me by representatives. I now don’t have transportation and I’m trying to get this handled.

    I just called back today, and the lady rep tells me I need to pay 2500 to get the car back or pay 450 for repo fees and I can get the car back, but it can still be repossessed. I've never heard of anything like this in my life. Everyone I speak wants to transfer me or hang up the call. I’m finding out so much information that I can’t seem to find in my contract. Ever since the bankrupt all of this has been horrible. All I'm needed is a financial balance lease to keep the car. I feel nobody wants to help. They want to keep the car after receiving thousands of dollars from me and left with misinformation and no car. This is ridiculous and has my blood pressure through the roof. I would not recommend going through them for a car. It has been hell.

    I called in on 5/26/23 to pay the rest of my car note because I had already paid 100.00 of it earlier that month with another rep. (The reason I call in to make my payment is because my app will not allow me to log in and online, it say my car is already paid off.) While speaking with the rep he charged my card the full car payment amount instead of what was owed on my account. I asked him if he could cancel the payment because I had already paid $100. He placed me on hold and came back and said he couldn't cancel the payment or issue a refund. He said to call my bank and dispute the charge then call back to make another payment. I called my bank, did an incorrect amount charge dispute and was issued a 100.00 credit while the rest went back to Westlake. Thinking it would be easier...

    From that day forward it has been hell! Westlake says they never got the payment but my bank says otherwise and I only received $100 credit. I have emailed my bank statements to prove I didn't receive a full refund and accounting closed my claim without even doing further research. I have done a 3-way call with my bank and supervisor from Westlake and the bank confirmed via phone that they did issue a refund. I had that same sup pull the call where the rep instructed me to file the dispute and he confirmed the rep gave me wrong information.

    He filed a complaint on the rep but my account is left in crumbles. I can no longer make payments using my debit card only Money Gram and providing my routing and accounting. They pushed that missed payment to the end of my contract and added tons of fees and My payment date was changed without my knowledge FOR THEIR REP'S MISTAKE! I have wrote customer services a million times with no resolution.

    I have spoke to many supervisors one told me there wasn't anyone else I could speak to not even an email could be provided. When I asked her, "Was there anyone I could speak to that can actually fix my account." Another one hung up on me when I asked if they could read the notes on my account or pull the call to understand the situation. Their customer service is terrible, the notes they put on your account are for their entertainment. The accounting department is lazy & impossible to speak with if you're having an issue. I'm looking into refinancing a new vehicle with a new lender just to get out of contract with them. I have never had such a headache dealing with a lender. If you have anxiety or deal with depression this bank will only make it worse especially if it's due to their negligence. You will not get answers.

    Writing this today, I can’t say I wasn’t frustrated when two days ago my account locked up. After hours of trying to fix it, it finally worked. Now, I log in to find my account locked AGAIN! I spoke to three different customer service representatives, got hung up on twice, and I was out in hold for 30 minutes. I was a little upset but remembered that not everyone is as nice as I am. So I called one more time praying to God that I could find someone to help me. And then God sent Miguel. Miquel picked up the phone and we had an instant connection.

    As a customer service representative it’s very important to keep your customers happy, informed, and confident in your ability to solve problems. He made me feel just that. He not only stayed on the line the entire time, made small talk, made me laugh, and fix my account; but he also changed my pay preferences as well to save me time from having to do it. If I could give him more stars, I would. I’d hire this man in a heartbeat! Thank you, Miguel!

    I called in & spoke to Charles ** (extension # **). Not only was he super knowledgeable but he actually cared about me as a person. As a person that works in customer service I can tell when someone genuinely cares or not and he genuinely cared. Lol I told him that I would write a review and request for him to have a 30 thousand dollar raise and I am doing just that. He was absolutely amazing and I really hope he sees this review!! If I ever have to call back, I only want to speak to him!!

    Where do I begin? Predatory loans will always keep increasing your balance so you can't pay off your vehicle. Fined by the Federal Consumer Bureau 44mil for illegal practices. Fined 7.5mil by FTC for same. Sued by DOD 715,000.00. Sued by DOD 255,000.00 and 215,000.00. My vehicle is paid off in full yet I am still having to make payments. I've paid 2700 over as of today. They have illegally repo'ed my truck twice. Yes illegal repos. They don't report on time to credit agencies. Only every 4 months.

    I've been looking for an attorney to sue them in court as their predatory illegal practices have pushed me to this point. Their customer service is in Mexico. They refuse to give out their legal department phone number, they refuse to connect you with supervisors, then when they do they're just as rude as the people answering the phones. Claim to have no pay off department when asked repeatedly to transfer to them. Only give a generic email address for legal department that no one even checks or responds to.

    I sent them a demand letter in March with proof of their predatory loan as well as proof that I have more than paid off my loan. 3 weeks later they took my truck. I owed nothing and still had to pay 1200 to get it back. Then took 4 days to release it. Sent them another demand letter in Aug with intent to sue and 3 weeks later again they took the truck. Cost me 1000 to get it back. Mind you I have been continuing to pay these crooks every month since I figured out my truck is actually paid off at advice of an attorney. Even auto dealers won't work with them anymore. Just read all the reviews on LinkedIn.

    Google Westlake Financial services illegal repos and just start clicking away to find all the lawsuits and stories just like mine. This company is a scam. Period. Even if you pay off your loan they will come steal the vehicle back and sell it at auction and tell you sorry about your luck. Met a girl the other day that happen to. Again all these 5 star reviews are fraudulent. Go on BBB. Look them up, google their lawsuits, google their illegal repos. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from these conmen.

    Purchased the car on July 31st. Went to make my 1st payment on 9/8 online. To my surprise, you can't make your first payment online. (Not advised of that) called the worse customer service department and explained the issue. Gave her the card info to make my 1st payment. Received a confirmation number and went on my day. A week later on 9/15 I received a call stating the payment didn't go through. I couldn't believe it. Call the bank and was advised that no company attempted to take any funds out the account. (Have receipts) Tried explaining that information to customer service who don't really speak or understand English.

    Spoke to about 15 to 20 different people and each one have different lies to spread. Ask to speak with a manager, and Hector don't want to transfer me. Advised them of the situation and no customer service at ALL! Customer service is RUDE! Called customer care specialists and the same! If the calls are truly becoming recorded, they need to go over them and fire the CSR who don't know how to do their job and talk to customers. I really want all the calls and notes reviewed. Who runs this company? I would be highly embarrassed. A phone call with the same information and the mistake y'all made is unnecessary.

    I was assisted by LaLa **, who was AMAZING!!! She was empathetic about my health, situation and was able to help me in was I was not expecting. She understood that situations happen and people sometimes need to be assisted in ways to get them back on track with keeping their vehicles. I began my loan ahead of the payments and fell behind and now I am able to get vehicle paid off. THANK YOU SO MUCH LALA **!! If I could giver her 1 million stars, I would!! She deserves it!!!

    Maria has the best customer service attitude that I have come across in a very long time. She was extremely understanding regarding my situation and guided me through everything to make sure I was 100% comfortable. Yes, I was skeptical with the all the options provided for me.     I bought my car and had it financed through Flagship. I made a huge mistake leaving them. I was in the middle of a Bankruptcy and even though I had to list all of my debts I didn’t not include my car in the bankruptcy. I got my car refinanced through Westlake and I fail on hard times and had to move from a home I was not paying rent at to a home I was paying rent now. Westlake would not work with me to save their life. They had a 3rd party company call me when I was 5 days late on my payment to threaten me that my car was in repo status. I asked for help. The rep said my account didn’t qualify for any extinction. Then I ask to have someone review my account. They said they couldn’t do that and I ask could I talk to someone and she said there’s no one to talk to me. I then demanded she have someone call me because as consumer I have rights too.

    I am going to sell the car or pay it off as quick as I can. I urge anyone DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH WESTLAKE FINANCIAL. THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU IF YOU NEED HELP OR FALL ON HARD TIMES. The sad part about this is when I filed bankruptcy I had not refinanced my car yet with Westlake!!! It’s some mean hateful companies in the world and Westlake is one of them. Everyone falls on hard times every now and then and WESTLAKE FINANCIAL YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND AND HELP YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!

They are only interested in charging excess money but do not offer the slightest respect for the client.… Recovering a vehicle with them is an impossible mission and they only give excuses without even knowing where they have it located.…

    I recently financed a vehicle with pre approved financing from Westlake and while the process with Westlake was a walk in the park, it is the way they handled the ongoing issues I’ve had with the vehicle that had left me thinking so highly of them.     I never had a problem with this company, except that they charge you NSF fees for payments you have successfully processed. They've held out on removing a NSF fee that has been proven to be taken successfully yet here I am completely finished with my auto loan and a pending NSF fee that I did not have any fault for. They've said multiple times that it would be removed, now I'm getting late fees for this NSF fee. I've done my research with this Auto loan company and found that I have not been the only one hit with these fees due to their system failures. We shouldn't be condemned for their system failures and shouldn't be held accountable for them. They have super high APR % AS IS, you pay a $5.00 processing fee for EACH payment you make aside your auto loan payment which is ridiculous, yet here we are. I completed EVERY payment on time with no failures and I'm still being held accountable for something I had zero control over.

    Find someone else if you can in regard to auto loans. These people have zero care that you're already in an incredibly high interest rate loan and still expect you to pay these outrageous fees to top it off. The agents are RUDE and don't care that you have given them your business as long as you cough your money up.. Credit Karma reviews will tell you I'm not the only one going through this nightmare and because of this I haven't received my vehicle's title. Already contacted a lawyer and will be suing this fraudulent company. You may wonder, the fee must not be high why not just pay it??? I REFUSE to give these crooks another dime!!!!

    Updated on 09/18/2023: Frando was great until I paid the car off.. Then everyone in the company be came ugly and didn't want to listen. They never told me I had to drive 6 hours away to pick up the car. They don't want to answer any questions nor help me getting the car.. so I paid 1600 for a car I can't get.. Then they said they will sell the car and get more money off it… Don't do business the company..

    I have been with them for 4 1/2 years. It has been bittersweet. They call you 3 plus times a day 7 days a week if your payment is a day late. There is no grace period which sometimes I needed. I was never over 30 days late and had good payment history. Some of the representatives are rude and some are awesome. It's like 60/ 40. My car was totaled in August and the insurance paid it off almost in its entirety. The balance is under 867.00 as I was trying to explain to Dave what my Gap insurance told me that they sent over to them and what other steps did I needed to do.

    David ** was very rude and did not listen help to resolve my issue. He Hung up on me while over-talking as I was explaining the situation!! When I return the call and requested to speak to Manager no one was available. (Of Course) Jose the 2nd representative I spoke to was understanding. I appreciate your assistance and the clarity you provided, he also said that I would be remove from all of the harassing correspondence and that he would email a Supervisor to return my call. Like I said this was a bittersweet experience.

    I want to express my deepest gratitude for the agent that I received a call from this morning. She was helpful. She was kind and she was able to answer every question that I had. She was the most amazing person. I have spoke to in the past year, as far as customer service, especially with her job, having to ask people for money she did it in a way that was so classy and so heartfelt, you could feel she understood and you could feel that she wanted to help. You could also tell by talking to her that she was smiling and actually takes pride in her job which is so hard to find nowadays. I thank God that she contacted me today.     When I found a vehicle I wanted, my credit score was pretty low due to my debt-to-income ratio. My payment history was great, but I was paying quite a bit each month to various creditors. I'm very familiar with the car-buying experience since I've purchased several vehicles in my life. The most stressful part of the process for me -- waiting for ANYONE to approve the financing so I can leave with the vehicle I want, not just a vehicle I can afford or one that I barely qualify for. When the other banks denied me, Westlake actually came through. That feeling of "You've been approved!" is such a high for me! I always remember and appreciate the companies who helped me out when I really needed it. The interest rate was much higher than I wanted to pay, but I signed the contract.

    The loan was for 5 years, but I paid it off in 2.5. Two years into making on-time car payments, Westlake offered me a $5,000 cash loan which I accepted (it will also be paid off early, saving me some of the money from the high interest rate). If you're a good credit risk with a low credit score, Westlake is a great option. You will pay a higher interest rate and everything you do will be "under the microscope" for the first few months -- this is a high-risk category and WF needs to know they made a good decision by lending you the money. I definitely recommend Westlake to anyone who's looking for an alternative to traditional banks.

    The only reason they have received one star is because you must give a star to give a review. I had my loan with American Financial and after three years Westlake stated they bought my loan, not the warranty and is not honoring it. I had auto deduction coming out of my account with AF and wasn't aware of the company going out of business. Once I seen that my payment didn't come out that Saturday, I called on Monday to see what the issue was. That's how I found out, not by a letter nor phone call. WF tried to charge me a late fee that I was not going to pay because I wasn't late. It took 6 phone calls and 3 months for them to take it off my account.

    Their customer service is in another country where you can hardly understand what they are saying. I've called twice this morning because there is a "new fee" of $16.47 on my account. I have sat on hold for a manager 40 minutes, we were disconnected for me to call back and be on hold another 30 minutes. I am at work. I WOULD NOT REFER ANYONE TO THIS COMPANY. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE.

    I got some problems completing my Porsche Panamera (financed with Westlake Financial) registration as my local DMV request for its original title to be mailed to them so that they would waive the then verification process before they could issue me the sticker and license plates. I called Westlake Financial so many times and in so many days but no one seemed to do their utmost best to help me out as I've been driving my car illegally the past several months without sticker and license plates.

    Luckily I ran into Zeta ** today, explained to her about my issues again just like I did with all other reps. She felt the pain I'm going through then went an extra mile by digging in all the info she could find and provided me with the information I've desperately needed that solved my problems. Zeta ** is a gem and should be in management position at Westlake Financial as she will make every customer happy with her heartfelt efforts. I'm glad Westlake Financial has an employee like her who will make customers keep coming back. Two thumbs up for Zeta **!!! May God bless you and your family!!

    I have an auto loan with Westlake Portfolio Management that had been originally with a used car company that went out f business. While Westlake is an OK company, when the payment is even one day late, they are extremely persistent in trying to contact you. They will work with you if you let them know when the bill will be paid, but they need to stop calling people after 8:00 pm and should NEVER call on Sunday. Other than that, everyone I have spoken to has been professional and courteous. They explain the options available and ensure that you are aware of the different ways to make payments.

    The customer service is horrific. Very much horrendous. They lack respect, professionalism, and honesty. Can’t provide the document you need when requested. Westlake is almost a scam. They don’t provide the services they say and when they decline something they have no documents to support the decision. I’ve had a contract with them a couple months. My car was diagnosed for 3.5k service repair a week after purchasing. Dealers compliance does nothing there. The department is lazy and does not call back. I’ve been waiting months still to this day for a callback.

    It crazy I have to call them daily to still be hung up on or not serviced in the proper manner. Representatives tell you one thing and supervisor say another. Wanted the car to be voluntary repossessed and they won’t pick the car up but posting late and missed payments on my credit. I will be taking legal action on them. My advice if you don’t want a run around for information or to have action done DO NOT BUY FROM OR THROUGH THEM!!!

    I don't know what all these people are talking about. You can't get anyone who speaks or understand English and has no clue of your account but they can pick up your car without warning you if you miss payment or try to renew your tag. Since they took over it been a nightmare dealing with them.

    Today, my representative was Lizeth. She was patient and professional with a little bit of humor, and I appreciate that again thank you and take care. You know life is hard right now so with this Covid issue so just having great customer service a good listening ear and then trying to give me assistance with whatever I need was really appreciate it today and I just want to thank her am I even got her extensions only I can only do it directly with her moving forward, so I really appreciate that Westlake Financial.     I was having some anxiety after making my first payment online. I have never made car payments before, I had some questions. I spoke with Zeta **, she was the sweetest person. She gave me all the details I was looking for, some before I even asked. Zeta is so positive and efficient, she made me feel relaxed and informed. She is articulate and listens. She gets right to the point and in a very sweet manner. I hope I get to talk to her if I ever have to call again because she is professional and it felt like talking to a friend not just some business worker. Zeta is a gem, would give 100 stars if I had the chance.

    Just financed a vehicle, called pretty quickly for a courtesy call. They go ahead and set you up for draft payments, explain all the fees and charges that may come with paying other ways. Pedro was extremely helpful, and was not going to let me finish the call unless I was completely sure I understood all the emails they sent, including the satisfaction survey. I had trouble with one of the platforms, it would not load, alternative was available.

    I called trying to get answers about my GAP and Warranty. And why I didn't have it and why I still have the same car payment. Daniel **, talked really low, could not explain to me why, I had to repeat myself. Daniel stated he would transfer me to Insurance, he put me on hold and came back stating no one was there. He told me to call back tomorrow, stated the hour was from m-f 9a-8p pt. I stated I would call tomorrow and ask for insurance.

    Something didn't feel right, so I called back (4x) but kept getting Daniel but the fifth try I got a pleasant, knowledgeable person "Dian **". I asked her the same question and she thoroughly explained why my payment is the same (even though GAP and Warranty was void). She even emailed me the breakdown of my payment. She spoke clearly. Westlake, you have an employee (Daniel) whom giving false information, not explaining to customers instead trying to transfer and lying about the hours. And lying about not knowing the answers. But I do give 5 ⭐️ to Dian **!!!!

    My wife and I bought a car with and extended warranty/service contract through US Auto in November of 2022, in May when they went under Westlake Financial/Portfolio Management took over our account and told us we had no warranty even though we were paying for it as part of our car payments, they even sent a letter with their letterhead on it to try and tell us that the warranty we have is a 30 Day/1000 mile Warranty when we have all the paperwork showing it is in fact a 3 Year/36K mile warranty, they asked us to email it to them and they never got back to us, we called repeatedly and were told there was no warranty department yet.

    Then told we would be transferred to it which was a loop of getting transferred to more and more useless representatives who told the same lie 'we'll transfer you to the warranty dept' before looping us back in or hanging up on us, then telling us we need to call and select option #3 (for Insurance Claims) from the automated menu which just loops you back to a regular customer service rep who isn't in the warranty dept, then we we asked for a supervisor we were left on hold and told they're still looking for a supervisor before they just hang up on us. We filed a complaint on the website and got an email reply that in short says 'As soon as we come up to a resolution or have an update from them, we will let you know' but we've already been waiting 2 months for this answer and had to put our car in the shop twice for 2 separate warranty repairs that they would cover even though they charge us for the Warranty with every car note payment we make.

    As it stands between our car rentals (that the warranty is supposed to reimburse) and the repair cost we've spent $4800+ that the warranty was supposed to cover on top of our car payments. If you can, avoid using them at all, it's not worth the headache of dealing with their extreme incompetence, poor customer service and outright auto fraud when it comes to Extended Warranties and Service Contracts.

    I haven't even made my first payment yet but these people are annoying and CLUELESS. I can tell this whole experience with them is going to be hell. I have been getting nonstop "welcome calls" when I do not need them, all information was verified a month ago. There is no communication going on with their team. The customer service representatives are dumber than a bag of bricks and are very unprofessional. I'm going to make my payments on time and just hope that I have no issues with them because they have already made a horrible impression.

    Victor took his time to make sure he could help me. The option I asked for was not available but he was quick to find another solution that better fits my needs! He changed my payment date from the middle of the month to the first of the month.

    I needed help with a payment situation and John **, was extremely patient and very helpful in rectifying that situation. He was kind and knowledgeable in handling this problem. He eased my mind that my car would not be shut down because nonpayment. Without him saying it, they help people in difficult situations, not make things worse. They are there to help. Thanks John.     Westlake took over US auto loans so I was lost for the longest time. Made many calls. Never got through and it was just a painful experience but finally got through to Michelle **. She was awesome. 5 stars across the board. Made it simple and fast. Thank you.

    My account number would not process and I was being charged late fee despite all information was correct. The agent waived the fee and we processed the payment using my credit card. I still believe there is a problem with their system since I entered all information correctly. But the agent was easy to communicate with and it was resolved.

    I called because I received a notification regarding my GAP insurance. I spoke with a customer service representative who spoke with an accent that made it very difficult to understand her. When I tried to ask her questions regarding the matter she just said a closing salutation and hung up. I was not very impressed with the customer service that I received from this company.

    Michelle ** was the representative who reviewed my case with me. She explained to me the options available to me to pay my auto payments. Then explained to me how being on auto pay would be more convenient. Then I wouldn't have to be concerned about missing them. Helped set it up for me. Then instructed me to call to verify that auto pay was applied on the day of my next payment.
