I bought 2018 Jeep Rubicon in October 2025 at Posada's Trucks Norcross Ga, financed by Westlake and warranty company is Secure One. These company are affiliate of Westlake Financial. I drove the Jeep for two and half month and it showed check engine. I was advised by Westlake warranty company to take the Jeep to a licensed repairs center. DONE!, BUT Secure One intentionally slow all transactions down. Service records was requested for. They got it from the repairs which took a week according to them.. After six weeks they refused to move further in repairs unless I pay $2,000.00 to reopen the engine for inspections again.
I had already paid $800 for the first warranty inspection which Secure One term not satisfied. With $10.000.00 down payment on the Jeep, I have no car as they refused repairs. These practices should be unlawful. None of the the affiliates call me once. Do not do business with Westlake Financial or Secure One warranty company. They are all crooks. How can I purchased a Jeep with engine problems in 2 months?. Right now I take Uber to work $30.00 each way at 5 days per week. Am frustrated. The Lemon Law doesn't cover older vehicles.

This company is horrible. They are fraudulent. My son's car was repossessed. If that wasn't bad enough, unbeknownst to us, they filed THREE claims with our insurance without ever contacting us. I did not find out until almost a year later when we were moving and I was trying to move my auto insurance to our new location. We had no idea of these bogus claims! BEWARE-THEY ARE THE DEVIL!!

This is a scam lender. The website doesn't allow you to pay upfront; you have to search for other payment options because it's impossible to speak with a representative over the phone. They also continue to charge you even after you've made all your payments. Stay away from the scammers!!!

I recently purchased a truck and the loan was through Westlake. I informed Westlake to bear with me because I experienced a home fire notifying them that I would be paying on my truck note every 2 weeks still paying my note until my home fire issue is resolved. They aren’t people of their word. They don’t tell if extensions will be approved.
They tell you that you can request an extension and you have to wait 48hrs to be approved there is no guarantee. They also tell you if you want to push a note to the end of the loan you maybe subject to a balloon payment at the end but want you to agree to it on a recorded conversation without the calculated amount you have to pay with interest. I said, "No ma’am if you can’t give me an accurate estimate of that payment I will not agree." I said you can charge me any interest amount you want to charge me and then say well sir you agreed. No ma’am that is not how payment arrangements are business works then had a repo setup on my truck for 1 month. This is a very horrible business. They don’t work with you at all. When you as the customer call them to keep them updated being that you had a house fire. They could care less. & they refuse to let you speak to a supervisor forcing you to speak to them

My car was repossessed 1-11-26 at my home knowing that I connect them about time and my hardship. I was set back. Very useful but my nightmare started after I had got my account up to date when I paid full amount in which was due 1-18 and I called again. Asked for 1-2 days that I would have what was demanded by Westlake in which it was said amount of money then when I went to get MoneyGram payment to send them upon reinstating my car back to me, very true and disappointing that as of 1-20-26 1-28-26 till this on going matter they have not yet sent a release to the company that has had my car sitting in their lot.
I have been calling back to back. According to their words it has been emailed to yard in holding for them to send it for release so I may pick up. As of now 1-28-26 I’m still waiting for them to enter it into portal so call, so the company that is not yet heard from Westlake to release it. Disable person, I’m truly overwhelmed by the way they do business.

Westlake Financial repossessed my son's car after we made a payment and it was rejected because they do not accept electronic payments. We tried repeatedly to make the payment but no one told us electronic payment was not an option. Their customer service is very poor. Their APR is excessively high. They are on the chopping block for me. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM FOR AUTO LOAN. It's like cutting your nose off to please your face.

They repo my car for 238.00 dollars still on the same month I made a payment. Every time I called they ask for payment. I told them I paid. When they search they were as surprised as me. Don’t know why they repo. Didn’t have answers. Mind you I paid the month. My due day is next month. They repo car. Made me pay fees on a mistake on there. With every review I have read clearly it’s a scam to get over on consumer.

Worse financial company I've ever done business with. First they charge you an extra fee if you don't use the app and direct pay from your bank. Second when trying to pay off the loan there is no way options to pay off the loan via the app. So you have to call them. It's automated and again no option to pay off the loan nor any way to talk to customer service. I've never seen a financial company make it so difficult to pay them

I have been experiencing some difficult times at the moment right now and I was two weeks late on my car payment. My lender Westlake Financial was amazing in helping me get a resolution for this situation with them. Not only were they sympathetic to my circumstances they understood and made me feel like they cared about me as a person and not a client. Thank you also to the young lady who helped me. She was so gentle and caring for my situation and did not just give me a this is all you can do. She gave me options. I just want to say thank you again.

Westlake Financial is a scam lender - issues subprime loans but this is somehow legal. Now you know!!! My Jan 2024 car payment was missed - did not know they would not allow future payments to be applied to it. Next 3 payments after Jan on time. About to double pay in May to catch up. They repossessed car in May for Jan missed payment. Claimed loan was 120 days late!!! Now still demanding full auto loan repayment 2 years later. That will NEVER EVER HAPPEN!!!
Reported to CA and FL State Attorney General and Fed Consumer agencies for review. I hope they get slapped with a class action lawsuit. Looked up reviews and hundreds of people have similar scam and repossession stories. Please ask detailed financing questions about auto lender when buying your car. I know some of us fall on hard times or don't understand credit etc but still need to buy a car. BUT this is NEVER an excuse for a shady auto seller or subprime lender like Westlake Financial to take advantage of unsuspecting buyers. If you hear Westlake Financial will be your lender RUN!!! Buyer beware! STAY AWAY!!!

Want to sincerely thank Westlake for the kindness and understanding they showed me during one of the hardest moments of my life. I was three months behind on my payment due to extreme hardship, and instead of immediately moving toward repossession, they actually listened. The representative took the time to understand my situation and even acknowledged that repossessing my vehicle right now would negatively impact an ongoing case I have with CarMax. That level of awareness and humanity meant everything to me.
Not only did they not repossess my car, they worked with me, lowered my monthly payment, and gave me until February to pay. I felt treated like a human being, not just an account number. Compassion like this is rare, and I will never forget it. Thank you, Westlake, for choosing empathy and helping me keep stability for my family during a very difficult time.

If I could give this company negative stars I would. Paid off the loan in 2019 and they never released the lien on the car. Trying to get the lien with them is impossible. They tell us you haven’t been a customer since 2019 and we are under no obligation to release the lien.

Westlake Financial is, without a doubt, the WORST financial institution I have ever dealt with. They are a "sub-prime" lender, meaning, they tend to service people with low credit scores who cannot get funded with Prime lenders. 1. I actually have an 800 credit score, and wanted to pay cash for the vehicle, but the car dealer I worked with would only give me their best price if I financed. So I agreed, and unfortunately, they signed me up with Westlake Financial. 2. I tried to make a large payment online, but the maximum payment allowed was $2000. When I got my next statement, there was a $25 insufficient funds fee. 3. I tried to call their Customer Service line, and was connected to "Taylor", an AI. I kept asking to speak with a human, and I was disconnected.
4. I tried again, and finally got "Taylor" to agree to transfer me. Thereafter, literally every 20 seconds, a recorded voice asked, "Hi, are you still there?" I answered "Yes" and it responded, "I am connecting you to someone who can assist you." This repeated itself EVERY 20 SECONDS for an entire hour, after which, the call was disconnected.
5. I called back again the next day, and finally got through to a human. He reviewed my account and said the NSF fee cannot be reversed. I insisted on speaking with a supervisor, which took 20 minutes. 6. The supervisor then told me that I had provided the wrong bank information, which is why the payment was declined, and the NSF fee was charged. I told her that Westlake never advised me of this, and submitted the payment again, and this time it cleared. This was clearly an error on their part, since the same bank information allowed the payment to be completed the second time, so I had NOT given the wrong information. The supervisor then said that she would escalate the request to reverse the NSF fee, but it would take 2-3 business days.
7. I have dealt with nothing but incompetence and apathy from all levels at Westlake. I was supposed to keep the loan open for a minimum number of months, but I am paying it off in full NOW so I don't have to ever deal with them again. And I am going to complain to the car dealer for ever getting me involved with them in the first place.

So Far it's been pretty crappy! As soon as I got financed for $10,000 car purchase through the used car dealer, I wanted to pay down their $15,221.50 loan and avoid some of that interest. No luck! it doesn't matter if you pay off the principal early, they apparently don't reduce the financed interest! Anyway, I tried to make a $10,000 payment on-line towards my now $15,221.88 balance, the online system limited me to only a $8,500.00 payment. I had to call into the service center and pay the remaining $1,580.44 over the phone. This posted the next day! Guess what, their system calculates interest on a daily basis anyway based on that days' balance (SCAM ALERT #1). Then I find out that someone had already initiated an automatic payment to them from my account under the name of WF #### MONTGOMERY SHAWN ACH MISCELLANEOUS DEBIT (SCAM ALERT #2).
I had no idea who this was! I had to contact my bank to find out the requester was "Westlake Financial". There have been three of these debits so far! (I had my bank reverse the first one.) None of the three show up in my payment history on-line (SCAM ALERT #3). I'm still working on getting this all resolved since every time I call the customer service number the system HAS NO option to speak to a live person.

This company has ignored my concerns with the purchase of a vehicle. They hold the financing. I have sent in documents pertaining to the diagnosis, warranty issues and the issues with the vehicle. The fraud department has not contacted me at all in 2 months. They wait until a payment is due to send the contract back to the dealer with my payment made to them. They then tell me that my account is under review and they rejected my paperwork pertaining to the fraud from the dealer. This is outrageous and very unprofessional. They did not inform me of anything regarding my account or from the Fraud Investigation. This is by far ridiculous.

I am writing to formally complain about a highly unprofessional and disappointing experience I had with a Westlake representative when I contacted your company regarding a past-due email I received. The payment in question was due on 12/16/25, and I made the payment on the same day. However, the representative informed me that because the payment was made on the East Coast and the bank is on the West Coast, the system did not recognize it as timely. I contacted Westlake simply to seek clarification on this issue.
When I asked whether any late fees would be applied, the representative abruptly shifted the conversation to credit reporting instead of addressing my question. When I attempted to ask for clarification, I was told that he had already “repeated himself” and stated that if I did not understand, he would send me the contract. I did not request a copy of my contract; I was only asking for clarification. At no point should asking reasonable questions result in a dismissive or condescending response.
I then requested to speak with a supervisor and was disconnected. I called back four additional times, and each call resulted in being disconnected as well. As a customer attempting to resolve a billing concern, this was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. Ultimately, my issue was never addressed. I have never experienced such disrespectful treatment from a customer service representative. This interaction left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the level of professionalism being demonstrated. I strongly believe the representative’s conduct should be reviewed, and additional coaching or training should be provided to ensure customers are treated with respect and courtesy. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and appreciate a response addressing both the payment issue and the customer service experience.

Westlake will repo car after only 1 payment behind. There is not many options when a person is struggling financially. The only option was putting missed payment to end of the loan. The collection calls and emails are non stop. They will even bother family for payment.

I'm three months in with on time payments and now I received an email that they would like to change my payment due date to an earlier one? I've never had this happen to me before and I like my current date, so I ignored the email. There is no way I'm making an on time payment just for them to charge me another payment two weeks from now! Also, I was denied by them for a car loan and when another bank was willing to take me they changed their mind?! Idk what to do but my dad has told me just to wait 3 more months and refinance with the other bank.

I rolled over 3 payments to the end of the term of a 6-year loan (life happens), my note was coming to a close in September with balance from the rollovers. I set up (and paid) automatic payments for the same amount as my "typical" payment. The last correspondence I received on or about 11/19/2025 stated "automatic payment of $227... for 12/09.2025 is scheduled." My car was repossessed today, 11/25/2025.

A couple of days before my car loan payment was due I called WestLake to see if I could get an extension on payment. I was told I could, the statement that the agent reads to you to agree with or not was read to me. I agreed with it. Also the agent stated that I would be getting a letter in my email in 3 business days about the extension. I didn't get it.,, I've been calling company several times to get things straightened out but nothing resolved yet. I finally talked to another agent and was told I'm not qualified to get an extension and that it had to be reviewed. Also They keep giving me the run around telling me to call back in 3 days to find out if I'm qualified for extension. No one gives me a definite answer. This is very poor customer service from company for something so important that needs to be addressed soon!

Avoid Westlake Financial at All Costs! Less than 1 star if I could, I would strongly advise steering clear of Westlake Financial if you're considering financing a car. Their practices are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. The level of harassment I experienced was truly unbearable. Despite having a payment due on the 20th of each month, they would begin calling as soon as the clock struck midnight on the 21st—constantly reminding me of a missed payment before it's even technically late.
This wasn’t just a one-time issue; they continued to call relentlessly, 24/7. I was bombarded with repeated calls to the point where it became impossible to get any peace or rest. Their tactics felt intentional and designed to intimidate and antagonize, rather than offer support or flexibility. The constant ringing became so overwhelming that it felt like their number was burned into my memory, even in my sleep.
Their customer service is completely unhelpful, and instead of working with you, they seem focused on creating unnecessary stress. The entire experience was nothing short of harassment. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for financing. There are far better, more professional companies that actually respect their customers.

Customer service is a joke. They have a problem with their payment processing and is billing me for their screw up. I've done it twice and they filled me twice and my bank is not showing anything being sent to them. I've noticed other reviews are showing the same issues exactly. Customer service is a joke. There's talk to somebody knows how to solve problems up there not somebody that tells me the same answers. It doesn't fix the problem. I will quit doing business for them as soon as possible if not sooner.
