I called and asked to speak to a supervisor and a girl named Veronica ** with collections department spoke to me. I understand they need to ask for the company's money but, she was so rude and had no passion when asking for the money that was owed. She presented no compassion or even trying to listen to me and understand the situation. She really needs customer service/management training, sad that the representative prior speaking to her had better customer service.

I paid off my car and I have the proof of the paid off paperwork yet they haven't sent my car title yet. Other thing is that when I check my credit report they still report that I own car loan from Westlake financial which completely untrue.. I knew that they have the worse customers service I work with. For future loan need I will stay away from this company.. And I will recommended to anyone I care to them. As it go to my car problem I will call them today and found what's going on?

I honestly don't see why there are so many complaints on this company. We have our Jeep financed through Westlake Financial and have for almost a year now and have not had one single problem with them. A couple of years ago, we did a mortgage modification to lower our mortgage payments on our house and, little did we know (thanks to the idiots at Bank of America), that would negatively impact our credit. So our once good credit rating slipped after that and we had difficulty obtaining a decent auto loan, but Westlake accepted us and gave us an affordable loan for the Jeep we really wanted. We have made every single payment on time and they never bother us.

Unfortunately, my husband just had to have unexpected surgery and is going to be out of work for 6-8 weeks and we are waiting for his short-term disability payments to start, so that left us depending solely on my income to pay the bills until that starts. Our Jeep payment just came due the other day, so I called Westlake this evening and explained our unfortunate set of circumstances and asked if there was any way we could make our payment later or get any other sort of help since we are a bit strapped this month because of my husband being temporarily out for work after his surgery and waiting for his short-term disability checks to start.

The woman I spoke with was very nice and helpful. She checked our account and said that we were eligible for a deferment, meaning that we wouldn't have to make a payment this month and they would just add it to the end of our loan. She processed the deferment and said that our account will show as being current within 24 hours and we can just resume making our regular payments next month. What a HUGE help this is!!! I honestly didn't expect them to do much if anything to help us out, but I was very pleasantly surprised when they did! All it took was a quick 2-minute phone call and we were taken care of!

I normally don't write these types of reviews, but after seeing all of the negative reviews on this company, I felt the need to share our positive experience. I have a feeling that most of these negative reviews are from people who don't make their payments, which causes them to run into problems and then they try to blame the finance company. Really, if you make your payments as you agreed to when you bought your vehicle, you won't have any problems!

After being late 2 months the car got repo. Contacted Westlake to arrange a payment to get the car back. The Customer service is really disrespectful and my call was disconnected as I was trying to get information regarding the location of my vehicle. After submitting payment around 9:00am I called Westlake to provide them with the Western Union confirmation number, they advised that the process for the release for the vehicle would take approx. 24-48 hours. After a few hours of the payment we contacted Westlake again to see if the process could be expedited. They said that the release form was submitted to the towing company around 1:30pm.

At 2pm I got arrested from the towing company because they denied me to get my vehicle back, their argument was that they did not received an authorization from the bank. Due to this incident I now lost my job, went to jail and 4 days after I'm trying to recover my vehicle. This has been the worst experience ever! Now I have to involve the police in order for me to retrieve my car which I now have title to but yet they refuse to release.

Date was Dec 2, I received a called from Alfredo about a November payment, in which I told him I was going to pay that day. OK granted I didn't make it to the bank that day due to the bad weather but I had this car for over a year. Never had a problem with my payments until recently. My payment is due on the 2nd. Called to see if I can get my payment date changed being I am no longer working at this time. But because the car is in my husband's name I was not authorized to speak on the account. The problem came into resistance when my car was picked up the same night I spoke to him. They are 3 hrs behind my time. When I called to speak to him about what I needed to do to get my car back, he was so rude and when I asked to speak to a supervisor he said there was no one there at the time. He told me I need to pay my payment with a debit or credit card and at no cheap dealer.

Mind you, you can only pay at their authorized dealers. He told I had to pay over $1000 to get the car but I only owed Nov and now Dec. When I mentioned that was not the price given to me by someone else earlier, he asked "well what did they tell you?" I said the least amount was $760 the month past due and due now. Every time I called, I was sent to this same young man who was just so rude. My payment was not 90 days delinquent as he stated. I paid November and December payment on the 3rd and today is the 7th and I still have to wait until the 8th to receive my car. I did speak to other customer service aides who was very polite and Nancy made sure my paperwork was handled immediately. Thank you Nancy for being human. Worst financial services ever.

I was late a month one time and they towed the car and I had to pay 1800 to have the car back. Now I am late again and call them to explain the situation and ask them to accept a partial payment since I just own 2000 but a men named MARCO just treat me like I was a criminal trying to still something. This company has the worst customer service. I paid off my account like two months ago and they still have it on my credit. Every time I call it, a different excuse. I have spoken to 3 supervisor and 10 agents and my situation is the same. I am unable to get another loan because they are still reporting this account under my credit. They insist the social security is not mine and they are not able to remove it without me emailing my credentials to them. I have done so and they still have this account under my credit.

Regardless, the account should have been close and deleted from the credit. I am been denied from a house loan because this is still in my credit. This whole situation has created a hardship on me and my family. Now I had to get into a year lease with another house for rent because my previous lease was up and I was supposed to have had my house if it wasn't because Westlake is not doing their job.

My car was repossessed on Wednesday, October 7th. Westlake Financial apparently bought out the old company that I was getting my loan from (Condor Capital). They bought out the company in November 2014. I didn't have any notification of this whatsoever. The payments for my car were still being sent over to Condor Capital. They took my car and I was under the impression I was paying them on time because the money was coming out of my account every month.

Long story short, I have called Westlake a numerous amount of times and every single representative was not the least bit accommodating. In fact, they were argumentative and not the least apologetic to this complete inconvenience they have caused my life. I'm still without my car and no one is trying to help me. I've emailed and faxed over my bank statements from November 2014-September 2015 to prove my case and I'm still car-less. After this experience I will re-finance my car with a new company. These people are completely unprofessional and has caused me a lot of harm. I would never recommend this company... not even my worst enemy!

So in August, my husband and I purchased a 2007 Jetta. Our first payment was due on 9/16. We are trying to rebuild our credit so I thought I was doing something good by making the payment early on 9/1. I tried to set up the account so I could make online payments. Well of course they won't accept the first payment online. HAS to be over the phone and they hit you with a "convenience fee". Fine whatever. Did it and was feeling good about making my first payment early. I decided for the 2nd payment due 10/16 that I would mail a check in for payment to avoid the "convenience fee". They received and processed my payment on 10/5. Again was feeling good, until I looked at my statement. I'm being penalized with double interest because I paid EARLY!!! Are you friggin kidding me?!

The first payment of 206 they took only 63 in interest, the 2nd payment they are taking 141 in interest because I paid it 15 days early. If I were to pay it late, apparently from everything I'm reading I will be put into repo status. If I pay it online on the day it's due, I'm stuck with the additional "convenience fee". My husband called them and spoke with a very rude person who can barely speak English and was told "well that's our policy." Completely and utterly dissatisfied with these bunch of crooks!! Now that we are stuck with them, we get to get screwed on a monthly basis! So disgusted!

I made payments after I paid monthly payment obviously for the principal but They took out the interest. Then the next payment I made they took out more interest. The breakdown of what goes to interest and to the principal was manipulated after I paid online. Instead of putting $112 of $175 to principal they only put $74 of the payment to the principal, took the rest for interest. I finally got a manager, Stefanie, that said she would readjust it in 48 hours, stated they will not send a correct statement and that I should check online in 48 hours. That was last Wednesday, nothing changed.

I also made Stefanie aware that my Sept bill states I owe $104 less than my normal payment, no support or info how they got that amount. The first rep I spoke to, Jesus, could not explain how they got that amount for Sept bill. The manager (which I doubt she even was) Stefanie, could not explain how the Sept bill is for $104 less than it should be. Again, she stated they would fix the bill from the previous month and readjust Sept to show my normal payment, but again refused to generate a new bill.

I'm afraid to make this payment because the bill, the internet and their automated phone system has different information on my account. I don't want to do anything with this company unless it's in writing especially my monthly bill. No one has answers, just get the runaround. Different info every time I ask how to make a principal only payment. All my online payments have been readjust to show I paid with an agent on the phone. False - only my first payment was with an agent on the phone. They can't answer why my readjusted after payment is made online or state the online billing system is wrong. Their company status has been suspended by the state of Cali at least four times, meaning they legally can't do business here in Cali, they just keep changing the business name to avoid this. ZERO STARS.

I have paid $3547.00 to complete my car loan and now face an additional 896.00 in additional added extra charges and every time I spoke to them it was another story. Now I find that if I do decide to pay the final charges that they are sticking me up for, they have shipped my car to an entirely different city and I will have the expense of towing it back from there. This is incredible and not to be believed.

My father is writing this. He decided to help me pay off my car loan. As required by Westlake, I (Susan) sent a printed letter stating that he could have access to the account and speak to representatives at Westlake per their rules. It was sent with two checks to Westlake, one for regular payment and one for principal only. They were processed on August 6 and 7, so the letter was received. Westlake says the letter is still not in their system. They also seem to have great difficulty in processing principal only payments. We decided to pay off this loan and save $8430 in interest!!

Through a lot of rig-a-ma-roll, I was emailed a form to pay off the loan. I could not return it by email as it required PDF that I don't have. So the other option was faxing, which I did August 10th to assure no additional interest in the payoff. They still won't even tell me anything about receiving the payoff fax. The company seems to be quite slow and dysfunctional in processing principal only checks and written correspondence. I waited three hours for the fax for payoff and learned they used the wrong email address. Took another hour to get it faxed correctly.

Now I am going to have to check the account and my checking account (online) everyday until I see the payoff is processed. And they continue to drag their feet on the letter to allow them to speak to me concerning the account and payoff. Once the payoff is processed, we will be delighted to not have to deal further in any way with Westlake! The letter to allow me to speak to their representative will be mute, if they ever get it into their system!!

I swear this company needs to be shut down fast. My husband and I had a wonderful Dodge when he was in the Army when we could afford it. My husband is a disabled vet (serving 14 years) and was no longer able to afford the payment so we gave it back. We made up our children and moved to Florida to get a new start in life. So with him and I being sick and having so many appointments plus having kids that need to go to doctors we decided to go to a little car lot to look for a car. I found a Chrysler mini van and find out paperwork to try and get it.

Bam we got approved through WestSuck. My husband was a truck driver so we were able to make the payments. Well he lost his job and became one month behind on a payment. Of course they won't talk to me because I'm not on the contract. So my husband gave them the permission to talk to me. I told them you can wait on the payment or let me fix the leak in the radiator. Of course it's not their fault. They just want their money. Between my phone and my husband's phone they call at least 16 times a day. Really does these dumb ** not have a life? So I wake up last night and the van is gone. They want 1000.00 to get it back. Also they want the title out there going to put a lean on my husband's license haha. Your ** has the title **.

It's sad people fall on hard times and they can care less. My husband got a job last week and boy they wanted to know where he worked so bad. Like I said take that van and stick it up your **. That van is not worth 500 dollars. What makes me sick is the ** repo company couldn't even have the balls to knock on the door to ask for the keys. They drag it out with my children's car seat in them. I can't get the stuff out of the van because it's in my husband's name. Well news flash he is a truck driver.

Now I have no car to go anywhere and no car seats to put my kids in them. This is how our world treat our disabled vets. It makes me beyond sick. To anyone thinking about using this company please think twice. They are the worst I have ever seen. They need to go out of business like something bad. Avoid Westlake like a black plague. I want to say thank you Westlake for showing out vets what you really think of them. Remember they fought for your ** to be this stupid.

This company is the worse to deal with. Staff is super rude and have no intention on helping a customer with any problem. Once you sign a lease with them the only thing they care about is you paying them on time. Whatever else goes with your account they don't give a ** about... excuse my language but they are horrible.

I had a high interest with them for a car and fine I decided to go with it just to build credit. I'm a beginner so never really thought of other options anyway. They did promise the loan would give us some credit after some time but just because they felt like it and we decided to. Pay the car in full - they decided not to report to the bureaus. I guess they don't have to but that was the whole idea. They became rude and suggested we don't pay in full until we fix the problem... But the problem was already there for a while and they did nothing about it so why pay more interest right... Then they threaten to close our account right after paying in full even. Though their policy says "to stay open for 3 months after you make a final payment." Well they kept their word and never replied to our calls and emails. Bottom line these company is one to avoid. Get another financing company!

So my story is a lot like everyone else, but it really isn’t me, it’s my son who got a loan through them. He had a great job then when the oil prices crashed so did his job. Myself and everyone in our house has been getting calls from this place. Well today when they called me and asked me to get a message to my son, I said I would be happy to if they would give me their name and at least who was calling. I was told sorry that is confidential. "Ok, then no I can’t tell him you called because I don’t' know who to tell him is calling." This goes all day. Finally, I talk to someone who tell me it’s Westlake. "Ok, thank you. I will let him know." Then later a Carlos calls and apparently he can’t discuss any of this information with me but my son needed to call. Ok, I will try and get the message to him as he currently is in the middle of nowhere.

Well, then it comes out that this Carlos made payment arrangements with my son’s girlfriend. Well, if he can’t discuss this matter with any of us then how could he possibly make a payment arrangement??? Well, the mail was late today so I was late getting to the bank, so the payment arrangement this Carlos made with a person who is not legally able to make any arrangements on the loan fell through. When my son called, they said since she did not keep the arrangement, it was going to be 1400 instead of 1000. Wtf really. How can her arrangement be legal if she isn't on the contract. This company sucks **!! I hope that my son can refinance and this company goes under, but wait, it is making so much money robbing the poor suckers who signed or unfortunately got bought out.

Asked for date I could I gave it to them & was under the impression it was OK. Next thing I knew my car was being repossessed. They now MAGICALLY have no records of that conversation. Are requesting two payments plus 700.00 in repo fees. I paid all fees & copy of DL with three references. I paid a total of $1517.00. I call back to advise of payment and now all of a sudden they need more documents. So yet again I send more documents, call back with proof they have received them & they keep telling me they don't have it despite me having proof that they do!!!

Then I call the repo company to see if they will help and she advises me what a pos company they are & that they are known to sit on documents even though they have them! They flat told the repossession company they were going to hold my car until at least tomorrow. I'm calling the BBB and a lawyer. That ** is illegal. Manager Marta ext ** is just as much of a **!

I had bad credit so the small corner auto dealer set this up for me through Westlake Financial. I made all of 20 monthly payments, most of them on time. I mailed my checks from Wisconsin to Los Angeles and it usually took 10 days or more for them to post. I have 5500.00 of my own invested in my 2001 Explorer and as of this writing owe 3 more payments totaling about $700. We tried to work with them but they do not accept partial payments. This week? Without notice they took my truck from my work parking lot. No one came to talk to me? No letter or contact from them to warn me. Now they want over $1400 dollars to get my truck back? Plus what the repo company gets for storage, towing, etc.

They also took money out of my account electronically earlier this year without my consent which cost me NSF fees in my checking acct. THEY REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME!!! So I think Westlake is a calculated, inconsiderate, money-hungry company that needs to be investigated by the law. On a lighter note the repo man is lucky because my baseball bat was underneath my backseat so I was unable to beat him senseless!!! Thank you!

Okay! I am not a client of Westlake but I am making payments to a car that belongs to a friend since 4 or 5 months ago. You would ask yourself why am I doing so. Well I wouldn't be doing it under other people's name if it wasn't because of them. Every time I called to see if the payments could be transferred to me under my name (as I am the person that is paying the car) first they told me YES, it could be done but the owner have to call first and say he can't pay the car, and that he will surrender it to me, so I rake over the payments.

I ask the lady if for that I will need a down payment. She told me not, the payments will stay the same just under my name, which at the time I thought strange but well, I was excited for the notice. So I called my friend and he called them that same day - they told him a completely different story. So now I don't get it and I don't know what to do. The car's payoff is $4,500 so maybe that's why they told him another thing - that it couldn't be done that way - that he would have to refinance it and stuff. I am so pissed off with this **. How can they be on business still??? That's insane and they don't even know what they saying. How can they tell me I could do a transfer of payments and then tell the other people DON'T - WTF!!!

Purchased a car and financed through them in October 2014. Signed up for automatic monthly debit immediately because I read all of the horror stories of repos they're responsible for. I was first contacted by then via phone to "interview me about the car." I asked for some loan details & was told I'd receive a "welcome packet" in the mail within the week. I also asked the rep. if there were any fees or rules they had if I wanted to pay the car off before the 36 month term and instead of giving me a direct answer stated again "all that will be in the welcome packet."

I never ended up receiving a welcome packet so I called back a week later to make my first payment (since auto-debit takes 30 days to take effect) and I had some anxiety about making sure I don't pay late. I asked this rep. too if they could tell me any fees or rules in regards to paying before loan term was up and they told me straight up "I'm not sure." Bad sign! I received my first statement (never got welcome packet) roughly another week later but had already paid it so filed it in my records.

On the up side they never contacted me for anything and I ended up getting a large sum of money in December 2014 and called them immediately to pay off the remainder of the loan. There was no fee and the rep. told me to call back in 2 hours to ensure payment went through (weird!). I did so and was told I'd receive my title within 3 weeks. A month later I still hadn't received my title so I called and was going to complain but since the rep. seemed nice I didn't and she verified my address and said it would be mailed out.

I received it a week later which means it mustn't have been mailed out a month prior when I paid in full. All in all this bank was not terrible. I only dealt with them for roughly 2 months and in that time I do have to say that they are very unorganized and the reps. aren't very knowledgeable. I would advise anyone thinking of financing through them not to do it or do as I did and pay off loan ASAP. Also, they never reported on my credit. Maybe because it was such a short term but I'm not sure.

I called Westlake to make a payment and was asked why I hadn't made any payments and was also told my account was in review for default for non payment.

I got a car from them in late October. My first late payment they said they graced me 30 days because my job had payroll issues and I couldn't pay on time. They never said that the next late payment would result in sending my account to collections. They were so rude on the phone when I tried to get help to pay them. I was talking with the collections department and when I asked the girl if I could send money she said, "no! you are in collections!" The car I got was from a place called Killer Carz in North Plainfield NJ and they are killers because the car is such a piece of crap. Major suspension and steering issues, etc. I explained this to Westlake but did they care? They only said it would be auctioned off and I would be liable for the balance. Sending a repo man in the next few days. Good luck finding it.

Here goes. I have had an auto loan with Westlake for over a year now. At one point, I was short by $55 in a payment I sent to them. I called them and explained the circumstances, and agreed to pay the $55 the following month. The next day, I start getting phone calls at 8 am demanding I pay the $55. I tell them to check the notes, that it has been agreed that I will pay it with next month's payment. I received 11 phone calls that day, 10 the following day, and 12 the third day. I finally stopped answering the phone.

Two days later, I go to work as usual, started getting phone calls as usual, and ignoring them. Around noon, I go out to get lunch. My truck is GONE! I panic and call the police department to report it stolen, and an officer on the phone informs me that there was a repossession on my truck and the towing company had let them know they were picking it up.

I am furious! Really? Over $55? I call Westlake, they tell me I should have answered the phone and too bad for me. They also told me I could retrieve my truck for $900. I called in a favor from a friend who lent me the money, and I paid it off that same day and got the release forms. The towing company then held my truck for a week and charged me storage, even though it was legally paid for, but that is a whole other battle!

Fast forward 6 months. I have paid every payment early, never late and have not heard a single word from them. I decide to check my credit report to see how this loan looks. I am shocked! 15 months of payments and not 1 payment since I bought the truck has been reported. In fact, the loan shows that it has been closed as of Jan 1, 2015. I have been making payments on a closed loan?

I call Westlake, only to get some run around about how they would send an email to the credit reporting department for a solution. I wait a few days and call them back to find out what is going on and remind them of their legal obligation to report to the credit bureaus, as stated in the contract I have. They told me they have been, and it must be the credit bureaus fault. I call the credit bureaus and am told that they in fact have NOT reported any payment history since the account was opened, except for the account CLOSURE in January.

My next phone call was to my attorney, who told me to start putting my payments in escrow until this was corrected and reported to the credit bureaus. When I called Westlake to notify them, and obtain the address for legal correspondence, they immediately started asking questions such as "where is the truck," "when are you paying us," and the non-English speaking moron told me that he knows more than the legal department. Please folks, stay clear of this 3 ring circus! I took this loan to try and re-establish credit, but it has only caused me more aggravation and cost me more than I had anticipated. Yes, I was late on one payment, but the actions that were taken were complete overkill!

I have had my Westlake loan for only two months. The first month I paid by phone and everything was fine. Then came time for my second payment which I sent a check to the overnight mail in El Monte, CA at least two days before my actual payment was due. My husband and I start getting calls on the same day the payment was due saying we are past due. We stated where we sent the check to and what the check number was.

Well now my account is 6 days past due because they are still saying they never received my check which I find very odd since I've never had a car loan company say they never got my check when I always pay on time. I had to pay the check canceling fee through my bank to cancel the check and pay online because it seems like my check vanished into thin air. It's very disappointing to know that this company misplaces things and then calls to harass their customers because they can't get their business straight.

We told them, that we were not and had bank statements to prove it. After, my husband tried calling Black Hawk to see why Westlake didn't seem to see that we were paid up. We could not reach them. They evidently have skipped on. We spoke again with someone at Westlake and sent them proof of payments since they come out automatically from our bank. The one rep. said they were just having a mess getting all new accounts straight. But today I received a letter stating we were behind and they have repeatedly tried to contact us.

These people are idiots. If they think they are coming to take this car, they better have very deep pockets because I promise to be owning them by next year. I have seen stupidity in large numbers but this place is a joke. We are sending out one more time all of our copies of payments. When I got the car I set up my payments to be taken out of my bank account each month. On March 22 I had my car repoed for late payments. I called Westlake on Monday and it took 27 phone calls to finally talk to someone about my car. One person told me that they have no record of me and have no idea why I was calling them. Another person said that my account was for a 2001 Infiniti so they can't even get the right car. After being hung up on the next ten time I talked to the rudest person I have ever spoke to in my life. He informed me that they have no record of my bank account and they have never received a payment. I then asked to speak to a manager and was hung up on.

The next day I called again and spoke to the same man as before. I told him that I have a reference number from the payment they received for my car. He even verified the confirmation number in their system then asked for my bank stubs for my bank info which they already had at the time. I asked if the confirmation number was confirmed in your system then why do you need the bank stubs. They told me that they had no record of my bank. I then asked to please speak with a manager and was hung up on. I called back and finally asked how to get my car back to get to work. I was told I needed to pay the sum of 1741.26 and they would release my car from repo. After hearing this I was really pissed off and informed them I would be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. They laughed at me and said, "Go right ahead" and hung up.

June of 2014 I filed bankruptcy. Calling them they told me I was 3 months behind but when I paid them it brought me current. Anyway the bankruptcy stopped them from coming after me. During the bankruptcy they charged my loan off immediately after I filed but I was making payments to them through the bankruptcy in which none of the payments were going to the balance.

Now this story has an happy ending!! I spoke with their so-called bankruptcy department and they were going to try to re-affirm the loan so I can keep the car. The judge rejected it because they charged the loan off. I flipped my case from a Chapter 13 to Chapter 7 on March 4th my case discharged cleaning me of all my debts including the car loan. Since they never picked up the car when they charged it off 6 months ago I took my court paperwork to the Dallas County tax office and they removed them as the lien holder and put the title in my name free and clear. They sent a repo man to my door and I showed him the title and he drove off. The blue book on the car was $13000 and I traded it in and got a brand new 2015 Ford Fusion financed by Chase bank at a much better rate. We received our loan for our car back in June of 2014. All was well. My husband lost his job in August and after transitioning to a one income household we started making payments again in September. We were continuously one month behind because we just couldn't afford to pay an extra month at that time. I asked to add a month on to the end of the loan so that we could be caught up and stop getting harassing calls every single day. I was told that no, they don't do that with their company.

I was so frustrated with them, not only for this, but because every time we called we had to update our address! They ask us every single time to verify and then they say "oh, that's not the one we have on file, lets go ahead and update that." Are you serious? What kind of company runs like that? But that's not even the worst. In October I had called in to make a payment, the woman I got on the phone was very, very snooty with me and got so mean that I ended up crying (and I work customer service so that is something that RARELY happens on the phone and I have people yell at me all day long).

Her tone immediately changed once that happened and she decided to just take my payment and stop arguing with me. At that point I decided I never wanted to speak with them again, so I emailed them stating I wanted my husband to make all the communication from then on out. They said I needed to do it in writing so I typed up a letter explaining why I wanted him to call from now on and describing my experience with the rep on the phone. I never once received a follow up call or email concerning my complaint.

Next, in December, my husband asked again about the extension on the loan, moving the month to the end of the loan. The rep said we could do that, we just need to make a payment of 198.00 and it will extend the loan and make us current. My husband ran to the bank to deposit the requested amount and then called them back. The man who answered told us that they do not file extensions and he has no record of anyone speaking to us prior (we had hung up 15 minutes ago) and ALSO that he didn't see anywhere that my husband had permission to access the account. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. After arguing with him we ended up hanging up and calling back the next day. The agent we got said they did see the notes and they went ahead and set up the process with me to add a month to the end of the loan.

They said "Okay, it may take up to 7 days so just disregard any collection calls until then." I agreed and hung up. Three weeks later, we were still getting collection calls. I answered and explained the situation, the woman apologized and said that their system is not working correctly so I just won't get any more calls. Then on the day my payment was due in February, we get a call saying we are 2 months behind and our car was going to be repossessed if we didn't remit payment by 7 pm!

After my husband argued saying "no that's not correct," I finally got on the phone and told her myself. She argued with us saying there is no extension and no evidence of one either. I requested they go back and listen to their recorded phone calls since I work at a call center and know what we have to do when there are discrepancies. She refused and said she had already reviewed them as she was personally assigned to our case. Funny enough I recognized the voice and it was the female who made me cry back in October. I finally just gave up on dealing with them. What a horrid company who can't keep their story straight for the life of them. RUN AWAY FROM THEM, FAST!!!! I will never do business with this company again, what a bunch of crooks.

We changed our number immediately (which looked bad on us) but phone interviews everyday by someone you can't understand gets really agitating. My husband and I have never financed a car before. We don't have the best of credit either so we knew that we would have to start with a high interest rate.

Westlake offered us 22.9% interest over 60 months and put our payment at 312/month. That sounded perfect to us. Especially with the vehicle we got. We purchased a 2012 Hyundai Sonata fully loaded with sunroof, navigation, leather, fog lights...like I said, fully loaded...with only 73,000 miles for 10900. It WAS OUR CHOICE to add an extended warranty through the reputable dealer we bought the car from and gap insurance. That brought our payment up to 398.12 which is still not bad to us because we know we are covered. Overall we are satisfied with what we have. We haven't made our first payment yet...it is being made today...so I don't know what to expect afterwards. I never hid or kept the car anywhere else except home on the street. Which they had a repo company call my sister and harass her to have her call me.

I called back and they threatened me to pay them or they would have to report that the car's registration in and it would be counted as stolen and that I was hiding the car which I never did. I left the car on the public street across the street from my house in plain sight because our street is small and doesn't have enough parking space which I notified them of that fact. And for half a week they would not pick up the Car and everyday they didn't. I called and let my finance company of that fact.

They picked up the car and the repo company never sent a notice of where my car is being held and after two weeks after the finance send me a billing statement which I called them and tried to see what kind of payments are due. They said I can get my car back if I pay the past due amount which I asked If that was possibility before the car got taken and they said NO. Those guys sold him a 2011 Toyota Corolla with 41,162 miles on it for $16,443.88. Westlake Financial financed the purchase.

They threw in a 6 month insurance policy of $1,440! I think GEICO could do better?! Especially since now he has to pay interest on insurance!!! He paid $3,500 down and they tacked on another $2,410.19 in "other charges". The other fees were recognizable. Total financed is $15,354.07!!! BUT GET THIS... the interest charge on this loan is freaking 24.99%! Higher than any credit card I have in my pocket. I have several. These ** are ripping him a new one. FOREIGN IMMIGRANTS BEWARE! Save your money and pay cash for a new car or pay cash for a used one. Don't do what ** did! It's past 30 day mark and I have to advise him to either try to get a new financed car loan through someone else or give back the car to the bank and take the hit on his credit.

Bought a car from a buy here die here car lot. Went through a divorce, credits shot, second chance dealer. Oh ok cool I make good money can pay my note. This was over 2 months ago. Westlake called me for a phone interview approving the loan and not to make the payment until I get the packet info. Ok cool but never get their packet that they said I would. Call them back. She or he says they are sending me my packet in the mail twice now. Ok will I get it before first payment? Sure the lady with broken english said yes.. Ok cool. Well never got it? Go figure. Call them again. I was hung up on, sat on hold 10-20 minutes yada yada. Ok I'll wait for their packet to arrive in the mail.... nope never came go figure.

So I traded in my paid off car for the one I'm driving now, my choice I own it but I wanted a car with more room. Should've kept my other car. So after numerous calls to these Dbags no one knows what I'm talking about. No I don't have a loan. No information on file what kind of car, where did I purchase it. I'm like wtf to that?? Y'all are loaning on cars or not loaning on cars and have no idea who's who or what's what? That's why I haven't and I'm not sending them any money because clearly it's going into their pockets and at everyone else's expense ha! Yeah right now they want to repo this car. Repo a car with no loan or any of my info at all. They don't want to pick up, talk, communicate, etc etc.... GOOD LUCK!

The dealer I got this car from has no idea why Westlake wouldn't send me my packet info or no reason why there isn't acct for my loan. I asked them "so you just let anyone drive off your lot without having a approval from the bank?" The guy hung up on me. Ok cool. Called him back and said, "Tell ya what I'll bring you the car back and I'll just take my car that I traded in back as well." Because no cash was involved. He then said, "You own the car." I said, "Yeah with no loan right?" He said, "and we already sold yours." LOL oh REALLY? Then he hung up.

Called them back. They must have blocked my number. No one would answer. I rang the hell outta their phone 20-30xs for the next 3 days I called them. I live 5 hrs away from that dive SCREW IT OK. So my gut started telling me something isn't right here with any of it so to do some research and holy ** found all of this info dirty shady info about Westlake. What they are doing to all of you and I they are a bigass rippoff! And could not believe what I found and was reading about these dirtbags. It took me a while to take all of these horror stories in and I'm like this is the company who has or doesn't have the loan on the car I bought... WOW! Like everyone else on here has been put in and through the ringer by these clowns! Westlake are crooks! So where would my car payment go if I make the payment? Because no one on Westlake's end even says there is a loan in my name?

But now they are calling my phone like crazy 2 months later. Westlake: you owe us money, we are gonna repo your car. Really ya don't say? Well Westlake I've been told by 3-4 maybe 5 of you different JAs that there isn't a loan in my name? So how do I owe you guys money? Well well well finally he or she, I couldn't really tell due to the poor and unclear conversation, they said "yes you do." Ok I said, "Well what's the acct number? And payoff amount." Silence on their end.... because check it out I'll send a certified bank check as soon as I hang up with the info from you jokers and I'll pay this off today right now and I will be quicker than you can speak with proper english grammar. They hung up.

3 days later another call. Not one of these son of ** can or know what's going on or give me payoff or acct number? So Westlake, looks like you guys are nothing more than a bunch of robbing lying cheating and most definitely don't know WTF y'all are doing or what info you have; instead y'all are acting like a bunch of trifling assclowns! And I hope you guys keep up on here keeping tabs and reading about all this ** you are doing to everyone. These poor people with these stories will make you sick! BS loan company y'all call yourself a bank??? YA GFYS WESTLAKE! Oh and I'm aware of your BS tactics too ;-) and I've got mine too and clearly with everyone on here that you Westlake have screwed over acted very unprofessional unethical just plain out don't nor did you ever give a ** about customers once so ever and this is totally IMO!

Westlake y'all will be held accountable for your unjust actions and your tyrant loan shark mentality, class action? Oh yeah I bet that's in the works now, we the people on here will stick together when it comes full circle and for myself can't' wait to see it broke off in your ass like you've done to 99.89999% of me and everyone else on here already. Because clearly I don't even have a loan with you jokers huh? So give me my trade in back, go find it, go collect it... and I'll make you Westlake a killer deal back on this one ;-) But in the mean time take it in the rear you ** clowns! My loan was bought by Westlake Financial from another company. I received a letter from Westlake on November 21, 2014 stating my first payment was due December 21, 2014. I tried to call my old loan company because I still owed for November. They told me Westlake owned my loan so they could not take a payment. So I wait for my due date (according to their letter), go to make my payment and a very rude representative told me I owed for 2 months.

When I explained why I didn't pay for November, he laughed. So I made 1 payment and then faxed them a letter in regards to my concerns. No response. So I faxed another letter. Still no response. I receive my billing statement from them on the day the payment is due. I tried to call several times but their phones kept disconnecting me. Their statement says they are open Sunday, 5am-2pm PST. I try calling, they are closed on Sundays. Every single thing this company has done since taking over my loan has been shady. And unfortunately, my credit is what's suffering.

I called on a Friday afternoon to make a payment and was given a confirmation number. The next day, went to make a purchase on the same card to find out my balance was horribly negative. After calling my bank, it was explained to me that they received (took) the payment, but never took off the "hold" of funds, effectively double-charging me and bring my account into the negative. The bank said they would need a release form sent from Westlake to release the "held" funds, even though they were already paid, AND the bank could SEE the transaction.

I tried getting through to Westlake Financial, who were closed after 11pm PST on a Saturday. That's right, a loan services company that handles Tens of millions in loans HAS NO ONE WORKING, except a collections department. Real awesome company... Unfortunately, most people who know about them find out all too late. Also, anyone you DO talk to that works for the company is horribly unprofessional and sounds like they were picked up off the street in East LA and are probably paid minimum wage.

They extended me past my warranty, and then denied any kind of coverage. They also will not help work with the payments, or refinance, or gave me any options other than for them to pick up my truck. I have made on time payments with my original finance company for over a year; however, 2 months ago Westlake assumed my loan. Right off the bat I receive a "Welcome Letter" from them telling me that I'm 6 payments past due when in fact my payment wasn't even due yet. Additionally my "Welcome Letter" stated that my payoff amount is thousands of dollars higher than it actually is. Did Westlake just make up numbers when they sent me that "Welcome Letter"? So I called them and they apologized over the phone and all is good.

I went online last month to make my first payment with Westlake and encountered error after error trying to navigate thru the website. I finally called them and submitted to their $9.00 over the phone fee to get my payment made. Seriously Westlake, $9.00 to make a payment??? Well a few days ago I tried to go online and make my payment but was getting error after error trying to log-in to the site. Today, after wasting more time trying to navigate thru the payment options I see that they do not accept VISA payments. What company in this day and age does not accept VISA? I refuse to call them and pay $9.00, AGAIN, to make an over the phone payment.

It truly appears to me that Westlake is intentionally trying to make things difficult for customers to make payments. Today I set up the auto-payment and went to Green Billing Statements so that I will not have to deal with this company in way whatsoever. If you going to waste my time, then I'll spend it doing reviews like this. Thank you Westlake, I really do appreciate it. You get an (F-) so far.

ZERO STARS!! I got a car loan from this company (a little of $4000) and have been paying on it for almost 2 years. I lost my job and have had a few late payments, but regained employment a year ago. I set up auto pay a while back and have been paying EARLY for the past several months. I have only managed to knock $1000 off of the principal loan. WTF!! At this rate I'll be paying for another 6 years. This company has taken advantage of me, and from the reviews MANY other people as well. I have received many harassing phone calls in the past about late payments. They have threatened to repossess my vehicle, and have no understanding when it comes to their customers.

I was recently involved in an accident where someone rear ended me. I called them up to see what was covered with my insurance and apparently my insurance policy expired a year ago. No notice was ever sent and now I am responsible for a vehicle that I can't even afford to have repaired. I don't have good credit whatsoever which is why my interest rate is 34%. I was in desperate need of a vehicle and failed to do my research prior to signing the papers. SHAME ON ME!! I never expected to be so swindled to this degree. Hopefully a class action suit is brought against them. If it is, count me in. They need to be taken down. If you are considering Westlake, please RUN!!

Problem #1, I'm financing a 2012 Caravan from Westlake for about $19,000. My payments were $650 a month. I recently found out the Van is worth $12,000-$13,000. I've never been late. Had the car since April 2014. My Payoff is $21,000. How can I be making payments on time and owe $2,000 more than what I borrowed. Well it starts with WESTLAKE BEING A BUNCH OF CROOKS! I had full coverage auto insurance and I was paying $165 a month. Westlake offered me their special offer of comp and collision (only) insurance w/ rental and towing and a few other perks for 6 months for $60 a month and they would add it to my note. There was no obligation and I had the option to renew at the end of the term or cancel at anytime as long as I showed proof of coverage.

So I get into an accident and call to make a claim and lo and behold nothing they told me was true - no rental, no towing, just an adjuster and he comes out and says my damage didn't happen at the same time... The whole passenger side was damaged. At the same time, he was full of crap to then after he gave the estimate Westlake has been calling me, no stop asking me if I want to apply the repair costs (the repair check) to my loan? I mean they call every week and I tell them "no"! I would have never switched my coverage had I known what I was in store for, so I decided I was going back to my original company and no longer wanted Westlake auto insurance.

So I call and the rep tells me I no longer have insurance with them, it expired the month before! I say, "I'm still being charged $730", they say that's part of my premium! Me: "what premium???" Them: "the $2,000 premium that was added to the duration of your loan for your auto insurance." At this point, I'm livid, I never authorized anything to be added to my loan nor would I ever agree to pay $2,000 for 6 months of comp and collision coverage only with no perks! I had insurance already with liability coverage, I made the purchase in April of 2014. My payoff balance is almost $21,000 as of Dec 2014. This was the only communication I received, other than a couple calls asking about my experience. My August 2014 payment was due on the 28th, but I could not make it by then. On September 18th, my vehicle was repossessed. On September 26th I got a notice that I needed to make my payment or my vehicle would be subject to repossession (It had already been repossessed 8 days prior). On Monday, September 29th I received a notice that my vehicle would be sent to auction at some time after 8 AM that morning. I called Westlake and was told that if I could make my payment that day my vehicle would be held from going to auction. I borrowed money and sent a MoneyGram, then called Westlake. The representative told me OK, then just hung up on me. On Wednesday, October 1st I got curious and so called the place that repossessed my vehicle. I was informed that my vehicle had been sent to auction on Saturday, September 27th.

I called the auction, who told me that Westlake would need to call them to hold my vehicle from sale, which they had scheduled for Thursday, October 2nd. I called Westlake again, and was passed off to some woman, who told me that the only way I could prevent my vehicle from going for sale was to pay repo fee, storage fee, another payment, plus other fees. I did not have all this money they wanted. I was also suspicious that they would take that money, if I had it, and still not hold my vehicle. After all, they had lied about holding it for the other money I sent them. Now, they are sending me notices of money due to complete the balance owed. Every notice is a higher amount. These people are not only rude, they are incapable to telling the truth, or giving anyone a chance to catch their account up to day without harassment. Had I known the type of business this place practices I would never have signed loan papers to purchase through them. If I could afford to sue these people I would in a heartbeat. Most people they give these loans to are already victims to their loan terms from day one and they know it. They don't make it so you can be able to make monthly payments that you're comfortable with, instead they design your payment where it's to their advantage- knowing somewhere along the line you're going to get caught into their web and get so deep into a hole where you cant make your payment and repossess your car.

Now you trying to come up with multiple payments when you couldn't afford one payment and that's how they get you. They know you cant afford these payments from day one and someone need to definitely go after these people for taking the advantage of the less fortunate. I have a lot of respect for finance companies that don't just give out loans to anyone that don't fit their criteria because they're not out here to hurt people in the long run. I was called out of name and hung up on several times. I am so glad to have gotten out of my loan. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Poor customer service.

If you are considering using Westlake Financial to finance your vehicle, PLEASE reconsider!! Not only are their agents abusive and incompetent, but their predatory practices will result in you paying nearly twice the amount of your original loan! Personal experience: I recently paid off my vehicle, and was told that I would receive my title in "10-15 days." I have not. When I called to follow-up, I was told that an additional balance of nearly $600 was unpaid. I am continuing with my efforts to report them to all relevant authorities! PLEASE find an alternative... Do not use this company!!!! I never do online reviews, but if this will save someone else the headache, then it's worth it!!! Please do not use this company, and please report them if you have used them already.

If you are one day late, they are ringing the phone off the hook. I compared my monthly bill even though I send them 275 a month with zero money due they still take about 100.00 in interest. If a Class action suit is in process, I'm in. The only reason they got a star is because I couldn't move on until they got one.

They call so many times like crazy - the house phone, cellphones and private from different numbers; it's ridiculous. I filed a complaint against the company Westlake Financial Services, the loan sharks. I know I don't have good credit, and I don't need to be taken advantage of by loansharks. I borrowed a loan from Westlake Financial Services (back in Dec. 2011 for a family emergency) toward my car a total of $3,000.00 and have paid a total of $11,000 on a small loan. 4 months after later I called them to inform them that I was going to be 1 day late, my car was gone the next morning when I was going down to get into my car. After I had called the guy to tell him I was going to be one day late (after he agreed), I had to end up paying $790 to get my car out. I had to borrow the money from a friend. They are putting me through a lot of stress. I need for lots of us to get together and bring this company down. That is not the way you do business. Why are they even allowing them to do business? Suddenly, we get a call from this company telling us we would be paying THEM from now on. So, we called Capital Finance and we're told that the deal wasn't closed as of yet and to keep paying OUR COMPANY, Capital Finance, until we receive paperwork in the mail. Well, we made our next payment on 9/11/14 to Capital Finance. Then, we receive a phone call from Westlake telling us we are delinquent. So, we call Capital Finance and they reassure us they'll take care of it, but that we have no choice but to deal with this SHADY COMPANY. So we try to make the payment as we finally received a bill (but no paperwork granting this company anything to sign) and we find out there is no free way to make a payment to them unless you get a bank account with them directly so they can further screw you over. We are NOT HAPPY! AND WE WILL BE REPORTING THIS COMPANY TO EVERYBODY OUT THERE! We'll also be trading in our car for a new one with a new company asap!

After reading reviews on Consumer Affairs, I realize my gut instincts about Westlake Financial are justifiable. The business experience I've had with Westlake has been unprofessional, misleading, rude and inconsiderate. I believe this company is shady and lies to their consumers. I have communicated well with them regarding my financial situation and they seemed to be understanding. However, that was all a charade when it came down to WORKING with me as a customer. They made me feel like I was a bad customer who was avoiding my loan agreement. I have been hung up on and verbally insulted by them. They claimed to have never received my partial payment; therefore demanding a payment in full or else car would be repossessed.

I made payment and coincidentally the same day the partial payment sent two weeks prior was magically cashed. I called them immediately and was hung up on. I believed they deliberately held the payment as a scare tactic to force me to make another payment in full. When I asked to make a complaint and/or talk to supervisors or managers, they avoided my concerns. I was not directed to any supervisors or given names of someone I could speak to. I believe their business conduct malicious. I am very dissatisfied as a customer and do not appreciate being preyed upon by companies such as Westlake Financial.

In addition to the same complaints all their other consumer have with them, such as difficulty getting people to talk to you on the phone about anything that has to do with your account; NO customer service, and a total disregard for common courtesy and humanity all together, I paid my car off with Westlake Financial IN FULL. Did NOT owe them one further penny.

I had to wait FOUR WEEKS to be told that it is a 4-6 week wait before they will release my title. No intelligent explanation or reason could they provide as to WHY this was necessary other than, this is how we do you. These people are notorious when it comes to these matters. What right they have to hold my title for over a month after paying them off in FULL, I have no idea how they get away with such. Other than the fact that prey on the hardworking under-represented class whose voices can't be heard and treat them like they are invisible. Hanging up on your calls, telling you inaccurate information to rush you off the phone, transferring you through a gauntlet of different reps who you have to re-explain things to all over again each time. They're great at collecting your money, and terrible at providing you any service.

BEWARE!!!!!! That is all I can tell any consumer who might even think about dealing with this group of egregious demons, AND my condolences to the unfortunate folks who tragically inherit Westlake as their financial lender. Dealing with Westlake is like doing business with Lucifer, you have to go in expecting the evil and expect to be burned, because in the end you are playing with FIRE.

The company's goal, mission, and vision statement that it stands for is clear.... To use ruthless and asinine tactics to make a fortune for greedy investors by preying on the misfortune, and leaving them praying for their missed fortune, because that's the Westlake Financial Creed.

I purchased a car from a local dealership on May 23, 2013, two weeks after Honda repossessed my car. I had a great business relationship with Autopass and Hamilton Finance, both located in Indianapolis. In October of that same year, my loan was sold to Westlake Financial. I have been timely with my payments until I lost my job on June 3, 2014. On June 6, 2014, I made a payment because I was two weeks behind and Westlake changed my due date without me requesting it. On July 8, Westlake started making several calls a day because my July payment was now late. They started harassing people the day after the due date.

So now they were saying that my car, which is a 2003 Ford Taurus, was at risk of being shut off. I asked what they meant by that. They said that they had a GPS installed in my vehicle. They also claimed that I signed a document stating about this. I never signed that document nor did I know that even existed. I asked for written documentation. They refused, saying that I would need to send a written statement. I made two arrangements to make my July payment. I was collecting unemployment and it was only enough to get gas and the remaining of my July rent and half of my car payment. I cancelled the July 21 payment because I didn't had the funds available.

On July 28, I mailed a partial payment to Westlake and attached a letter stating future arrangements. I was busy with job interviews that I forgot to contact them. Mistake on my part. On July 29, I had started working again. The minute I come home from work, Westlake calls me to inform me that my credit card had declined. I told them my situation and that I just sent them a payment. They shut off my car because I was 22 days past due. What company would put a GPS system in my car without my knowledge? And what right do they have to disable my vehicle when I am only three weeks behind? So I was on the phone with several CSRs and management discussing my situation and attempted to make arrangements. They refused to turn my car back on and said that in order for them to enable the car, I would have to come up with 50.00 for payment extension. I told them that I had no means of transportation of getting that to them.

Found someone to help but Westlake has refused to even turn my car on so that I can get to work and submit payment to them. Now I'm stuck with no money, no car and no way of getting to work as my job is not on a bus line. I also need a car so that I can tutor my students. Shame on you, Westlake! I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau, the Indiana Attorney General and the California Attorney General regarding this issue. I will file a class action lawsuit and contact the local news media in Indianapolis and in Los Angeles if this issue is not resolved properly.

My husband and I financed a car through Westlake Financial in Feb. 2014. The loan term was 17 months. I was told that it's very important to make at least the first payment on time. After we bought this car, I lost my job and ended up being 7 days late on the first payment. They contacted the dealership that I purchased the car through and had them sign a deferment for 3 months, saying that if we were late again, the car would be repoed. We NEVER signed this paper or even knew it was in existence until yesterday...

Made the payment in April early and then due to a new job and pay days being different, I logged onto my account at Westlake and did a payment due date change, from the 8th of every month to the 23rd of every month. Westlake changed the date to the 13th instead of the 23rd. So I was, according to them, 35 days past due. I spoke to a rep in May and she said she was unable to tell me anything unless my husband sent in a statement saying he gave permission to do so. So we faxed in a letter stating that. They said they never rec'd fax, so we faxed again, only to be told that it was not his signature.

I rec'd daily phone calls, up to 4 times a day. I spoke to a rep named Nancy on June 13, 2014 and set up a payment arrangement for today, 6-17-14, in the amount of $400.00 and then another payment arrangement for July 1 for $245.00, which would have made me current. Nancy took my debit card info and confirmed the arrangement. Yesterday, on my way to work, I stopped to get gas and a car blocked me in. It was the dealership that I bought the car from, saying that they bought the loan back from Westlake Financial.

I flipped, since I knew I had the payment arrangement with them. So I called Westlake and after talking to 3 different people, the last person, named Marta, asked to speak to the dealer, as he was standing in front of me. She wanted to know why I was calling them and he told her I did that on my own free will. So after I get back on the phone, she became very rude, as I was explaining the situation to her. She then said that the payment arrangement was void as of 2 pm yesterday, so she voided the payment arrangement while I was on the phone with her, AFTER they sold the loan back to the dealer. And then she hung up. I have read the review on here. How can they get away with this? They seem to prey on people with less than perfect credit and then refuse to work with them or keep promised arrangements.

It took SIX HOURS at the dealer to complete all the paperwork on a loan with credit card interest rates. Now it gets good. For three weeks we've had phone calls and returned paperwork because of things not being properly filled out? We just want to be left alone. It's a nice car and you can be sure we'll be paying on the principal as much as we can to ease the pain of the interest.

But that's not all, I check the mail today and VOILA, a postcard from some sham insurance company warning us our warranty is about to expire. First, I have a handshake deal with said mechanic over any problems with the car. I trust the guy and I know he's not giving out my info. So, how do you think this sham company got our name, the exact make and year of our vehicle and our address? I guess that interest rate isn't enough, they have to sell our info to marketers.

I co-signed for a loan through Westlake Financial for my son in June of 2012. My son has since then moved from Texas to another state. The last payment made on the vehicle was 17th January. My issue is not about my responsibility as a co-signer as I have always told Westlake that I will pay the loan regardless of the outcome. My issue is the fact that they are threatening to get me the co-signer for concealment of the vehicle even though I've told them where it was located many, many times (each time they have called) as well as my Son's phone number and his place of employment.

Each time, Westlake acts like I had never given the information to them before. Westlake has called me 44 times out of 40 days. Each time I explain the same thing to them and each time they tell me they are investigating me for concealment of the vehicle. At one point, they told me the address wasn't a good address. I know it is a good address as I have been sending my grandchildren gifts there and they have been getting them. I'm now questioning whether they have actually tried to go to the addresses I have given them or if it's one of their coercive acts to try to get me to pay now.

This last time they threatened to contact my employer. Because my Son has the only contract I asked Westlake for a copy which they refused to provide saying that It is assumed that I received a copy when I signed it. My Son has the only contract and I have very limited contact with him. Recently they called my husband's phone number (he has nothing to do with the loan) asking for my Son or myself. Westlake explained to my husband that I was under investigation for concealment of the vehicle and asked that I return her call. I tried the number that she gave my husband and the line was dead. It turns out that the number was a computer dialed number.

I then received another call from the so-called dead number but in my cell phone display, it quickly switched from that number to another one. Out of curiosity I checked my Verizon Wireless calls on their website. Everyone needs to be aware that when it is an auto dialer number, it will not show up on your Verizon bill or website as a received call (so no proof of them calling) but will show up on your phone as a received call for a short time. This explains why the many times a day (3 or 4) that Westlake called, I cannot account for on my Verizon bill. I have been told by Westlake that I have no legal right to the vehicle so going to get the vehicle myself is not legal.

So last week they finally repo'd...the truck...at the address I had given them so many times and the same address they are telling me wasn't a good one... Hmm. I guess I wasn't concealing it after all. Lastly, since they tell me they are going to record the conversations I decided to record them. When I told them I would like to record the conversation they told me that, that wouldn't be allowed because it was against Westlakes policy. I understand that Texas and California have different laws regarding the ability to record conversations; however, it's really up to Westlake to make that decision and in my case they don't want to be recorded. What are you trying to hide Westlake?

I have always prided myself on making good on any debt I have incurred and I do intend on making this debt good as well. However I don't agree with Westlake's Business Practices. I feel that they have broken many of the Acts (Harassment/Coercion/Threatening/Telephone autodialers) that are out there to protect us as consumers. If anyone wants to pursue this further, please contact me.

Last spring (2013) I purchased a 2004 Saturn Vue from a Bacons Bridge Auto on Bacons Bridge Road in Summerville, SC. Less than 3 months later the business was simply gone. I had trouble with the car Oct 2013. While driving the car stopped and I was stranded on Interstate I 95 headed toward relatives in Florence, SC. I had AAA and got a tow into Florence, SC. The AAA noticed the frame was cracked. I was not in a collision, the car just cut off. I had DunRte Automotive in Florence, SC to take a look at it. They quoted me $950 because the it was the timing belt. That was only half of it, because it has an interference engine, the heads could be bent, and that would add an extra $1000 or more, plus labor because that was a 10 hr or more job. I knew it was out of my financial control.

I paid to have AAA tow the car back to my home 128 miles, at paying 100 dollars. I had it looked at again, by TupperWay service in Summerville, SC. They said the same thing, but quoted me $750 plus parts and labor, with the same knowledge that 9 out of 10 the timing belt did damage the heads, and that the engine block could be cracked and I would be looking at $1200 or more, but I wouldn't know unless I got the timing belt fixed first. And THEN as a surprise if it cranked then all is well, if not, I would have to get a head job on the engine. I paid them for their diagnostic. Got the car towed back home again. I had it looked at again by Firestone in Goose Creek, SC and they told me they could only do the timing belt and had not seen a car like that where just fixing the timing belt would fix it. They guaranteed me that it would need a head job and that I would have to take it someplace else for the head work.

They directed me to Pat's Automotive in Goose Creek, SC. They only do engines. They examined the Saturn and confirmed that there were indeed 6 bent heads and the timing belt was indeed gone, and that they would need $1000 just to get started with a total of $2500 or more, and then still no guarantee that the engine block wouldn't be damaged, and would not know until after all of the parts and labor were done and go to crank it. I got it towed again back home where it sat as Westlake began to call. I paid two months even when it wasn't working when I thought that $950 would have fixed it. I was going to try to save and fix it.

After getting more professionals to examine the car and with the final examination being over $2500, I knew I would not be able to get it fixed. I told Westlake at the very beginning about the condition of the car and what was wrong with it. Each time they said they were recording it, so I know they know I've maintained my same story throughout each call. I take all of their calls. After exhaustingly trying to explain myself to the different CSRs who acted like they paid for the car and I owed them, it finally dawned on them that I wanted to do a volunteer surrender of the 2004 Saturn Vue that I am not able to repair. I owe $6800 plus fees now, and it would be costing me an average of over $2500 to see IF it would be fixable.

They transferred me over to the Westlake Financial Surrender Department and I listened to them again and said the whole issue over again. They let me know that I would be responsible for the difference as Westlake Financial would pick up the car, sell it at an auction for what they could get and that I would be responsible for the balance. Well I said to them, I understand that. Westlake told me they would let me know when they would be picking it up, and at the time they told me it would be in 10 to 12 days.

Well now it is February 12, 2014 and the car is still at my place and they are still calling. Each day Westlake Financial tells me a different story and none of them are making sense. They said they were getting the car, then I would get that they sent a repo company out to look at the car and they determined it wasn't worth picking up. I questioned who the company was and when they came out because I was not contacted. I had back surgery in December 2013 and I was out for 2 months and no one contacted me. They put me on hold and came back rambling something I couldn't understand. They never told me who the company was or when they looked at the car. Westlake said they took pictures of the car.

I asked how could they tell the car ran or not by taking pictures. I got no response, the lady just kept saying "I suggest you keep making payments. You are Sheila **, aren't you?" And she was defensive. She placed me on hold again and said that there was a note on my account and that the supervisor, whom I've never spoken with said they have decided that they are NOT going to repo the car because they can't get their money out of it. I requested the particulars of the decision and who made it as that I have a right to know. I requested that I get the name and location of the repo company so that I could see if they were legit and have them explain to me how they assess a car's worth by taking a picture. Westlake told me the other day that, they looked at the Blue Book value and decided it wasn't worth picking up.

Just yesterday, February 11, 2014 when I took their daily call, for the first time, the CSR told me directly that "Westlake Financial does NOT repo cars that do not work." It blew me away, because first of all I have never heard of any such hogwash and also after all of these months, why was I not told this instead of Westlake letting me believe that I could do a volunteer surrender. Plus they have known since day 1 that the car is in-operative. So the physical location is in my apartment complex parking lot. The title I do not have. I know the car didn't have a warranty, but it did have a Car Fax, which I guess doesn't mean a damn thing. It was a used car, there is no lemon law, but I know I got a lemon. I just do not understand the rationale that Westlake refusing to repo, valuing the car at zero and giving me misleading information at each turn.

I have already been threatened by them with wage garnishment and lawsuit. Whatever happens, happens. It just all seems so shady. About 15 yrs ago I had a car repoed by volunteer repossession by a more legitimate financial institution than Westlake Financial - the car did not run. They came and got it, of course it went on my credit for 7 years. They sold the car and got what they could and I ended up owing a couple thousand, which they worked with me and let me pay it off on an adjusted payment plan. Simple, right? I thought that's how it worked.

What's up with Westlake Financial? I read some forums and people are right. They call many times a day. They do call before 8a.m. and after 8p.m. One time I simply asked the guy how many more times that day were they planning to call. He acted like there had been no other calls. I have my cell records. Various numbers they call from, and just recently, they are using "unavailable ID".

I finally paid this company off... never late on my payment except once and it was their fault, I had direct payment. They took the money out and then sent it back. I caught this mistake and rectified it. When I took out a loan with them it was because I changed professions, went into the drilling rigs. After years of being a carpenter at that time carpentry just wasn't paying much due to a bad economy to wit my credit rating took a hit. Upon starting work in the oil fields, I really wasn't making that much.

Today I am a lead-derrickhand and it's a whole different story, credit rating is up and I have plenty of money in my accounts and in my pocket. When I paid my last payment they said that I owed them late charges due to that one time I was late which was their fault not mine. There was no arguing with them, very poor customer service. So I paid them what was owed and now I am getting ready to sue them and I will just for the principal of it - after all we are only talking $54.00 here. But when I get through with legal fees it will cost them a lot more.

The advantage I have here is I have the money to sue them. This is a sub-prime loan company that deals with people with bad credit and not much money. And they count on that to make their money and take advantage of their clients because they know chances are those clients will not follow through with their threats to sue because they don't have the money and are bound by an arbitration agreement. A good lawyer or the ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE of your state can get around that arbitration agreement... it is only a scare tactic. If you don't have the money for a lawyer call the Attorney General’s office and file a complaint I guarantee you they will work on your behalf and if enough complaints are filed in your state it will be very bad news for WESTLAKE FINANCIAL. If you know you are right do not back down, you can beat them if only you are willing to follow through with your principals and convictions.

Like I have previously stated here... if enough complaints are filed with your state's Attorney General’s office it will spell bad news for this company and its affiliates. Don't think you are the only one going through this. By the way even though I am suing them because I am able to financially, I have still filed a complaint with my State Attorney General Office and they were very helpful, even sent me the paperwork in one day to sign and make my complaint official. Don't play their game stand up for yourselves.

I've got a loan from Westlake Financial back in August of 2010... Now in the beginning, all was going well as I paid my monthly payments on time (except they would call about 5 days before it was due, I thought "Hmmm, they give reminder calls? That's awesome"). In May of 2012, I fell behind on my payment (Maybe almost 2 months behind)... I know. I know, bad girl. Anyhow, sometime toward the end of June, my car was repossessed. For about 13 days, I was without my vehicle but was able to get it back by paying the 2 months I was behind, a $500 repo fee and storage charges at $40 a day. Of course after I got my car back, they started to call me when I didn't need to be called, payments weren't even due. At this point this becomes harassment and they were so freaking rude at that. It's like everyone who works with Westlake Financial had to go through a class to learn how to be an **!

Anyway, again in May 2013 my car got repossessed again because I was 2 days late...WITHOUT NOTICE. & we all know Westlake is the 1ST to call ALL THE TIME. Again I got my car back after paying late charges, what I owed, repo and storage fees. I even paid them a little more so that I could get rid of them quicker. My maturity date was for July 27, 2013.. Around that time I received a statement saying I owed a total of $921.73 and $780 of that were "FEES". On Sept 17th, 2013, I finally paid off my loan with Westlake speaking to a account manager named Ceaser. I have never been so happy to give away almost a thousand bucks in my life!! It was a great moment for me when "Ceaser" told me that I would have my title mailed to me :) ... except a couple of months later... I still hadn't received my title. In December, just a few days before Christmas I called regarding my title and was told that it was being mailed out to me.

(Today, still no title on 1/31/14) This morning as I was getting ready to leave my home and head to my car, I realized my car wasn't there. First thought was maybe my boyfriend parked it somewhere else for some odd reason or another. But he said he didn't, so I then thought my car was stolen. I called the cops to file a report. They hadn't mentioned it being reported as a repo. I hadn't thought, "Oh, Maybe Westlake sent for it to be repossessed because I had paid off my loan back in Sept 2013, right?"...Yes, right I payed it off, but WRONG, totally wrong on thinking Westlake had nothing to do with it...They had EVERYTHING to do with it.

I called Westlake and spoke with a guy named Bob who was of course a total **, who could only say "We ordered a repossession for fees that you are aware of which is a total of $780 plus interest which is $865.60." I was aware of a 0 balance because I paid the last of my ties with them in Sept 2013. After dealing with this ** for a total of 5 mins, he told me to call him when I was ready to hand over the money and he hung up on me.

I called back and spoke with another account manager named "Omar". Ughh, these people! I tried to get to my account online and it said it was inactive. First off, if I have a balance with you, why would my account be inactive...1st sign of **! I was looking for my statements and transaction history so I can prove what I paid. I was told they would have to mail it to me...But who knows what they will add or remove? I DON'T trust them. Anyhow, after an hour of going back and forth with this Omar character, he decided that he would take a look at EVERYTHING. Still he was unable to tell me where these fees are from or give me a breakdown.

Omar finally decides to jump on the "It's repo fees" bandwagon and say that the repo people charged them late and now I have to pay. Omar calls me back and now decides to say that they are storage fees that the Repossession company charged them for afterwards. Ummmm last time I checked, you cannot get your car back without your financial institution letting them know that all monies have been paid and they can release the vehicle. Westlake now has my car and title and may be able to do whatever they please with my car. HELP ME FORM A SUIT AGAINST WESTLAKE. They've had way too much fun with us.

On December 20, 2013 my car was repo by Westlake Financial Services. I was only 48 days late on my payment. I called to see what I would have to do to get my car back and was told I had to pay $976.00 and fax copies of my driver’s license, 3 new references, insurance, proof of income and proof of residence. I did all of this on the same day. I was told that my car would be released 24 to 48 hours after receiving the money and fax. I called the lot where my car was on December 23 and was told my car was not released so I called Westlake and was told I had to refax my driver’s license and one more reference. Apparently they could not make out my picture on the ID and I used a reference that I had used when I purchased the car. So this being the day before Christmas Eve I rushed to resend this.

December 26 I called to see if my car had been released and it still wasn't so I called Westlake again and I was told they didn't receive the fax, so I sent it again. This went on for weeks. Every time I would call Westlake I was given the "run around". I would ask to speak to a supervisor and was told no one was available after being on hold for 15 minutes each time. They told me someone would call me back but no one ever did. Finally on January 13, 2014 I called the lot to see if my car was released and they yes it was I could come get it. So I got to the lot and was waiting for them to bring it to me when I was told that there was a problem, that my car had been moved to Kansas City, Missouri (I live in St. Louis). The guy at the lot said “Westlake had it moved because they only give you 10 days to get your car.”

I called Westlake and they couldn't tell me why my car had been moved and try to say I hadn't followed up with them, even though I called every day. I told them to send my car back here and they said they didn't have it moved so they will not send it back. They said I should have got my car sooner. But there was no way that I could because they would not release it. Now I don't know what to do. I contacted the Attorney General and am waiting to hear back. I'm worried that Westlake will sue me for the remainder of my loan, which if they would just give me back my car I would have no problem paying it. So now I'm out the down payment of $2500 plus the car payments I have made for almost a year now and not to mention the $976.00 I just paid to get my car back.

I missed a payment with them and they charged me a small late fee which I thought was ok. It's not even the first and my car was repossessed. They came and got my car last night and said they have had it for 2 days. This is not true because I just came from out of town late last night. I asked if they could wait on the 1st for the payment and the guy said ok. This was a lie. And the customer service is horrible. I was trying to find out why they said the car was taken 2 days ago when it wasn't and the guy kept talking over me and telling me this is not up for debate. Then he said I'm ending this call and hung up. I called back a few minutes later and asked to speak with a supervisor. They transferred me 4 times before I could speak with a supervisor.

Then the supervisor told me an extremely higher price to get my car back than the first guy I spoke with. And now they're telling me I have to buy my belongings back that were in the car. I had not even finished unloading my luggage. I only owe 400 for my payment. They're being unreasonable and telling me it's a huge amount of 960. I feel that is just ridiculous. And when I asked the supervisor if I could record the call, they hung up in my face. This business needs to be put to a end. I'm on here and I see nothing but complaints about how people are getting screwed. They couldn't wait 1 more day. Smh and now it's gonna be impossible for me to get my car and my belongings back. The car dealership was handling the payoff with Westlake. Our payments were due the 3rd of the month, plenty of time for the account to be closed. WRONG. They said they never received the information from the dealership & drafted our account. The dealership has proof Westlake did receive the information & called Westlake to resolve this. Westlake said they would send the dealership the money who would send us a check.

Still haven’t seen or heard anything. The Westlake account is now showing we are 2 days late on a payment they drafted from our account. We do not own this truck anymore and are out a nice chunk of money at this holiday time of year. Funny how WL talked to me to get the automatic payments set up but would not talk to me to get this account closed & payment stopped. They kept me on hold for 20 minutes when I asked to speak to a supervisor finally taking a message for someone to call me back. I'm still waiting. Terrible customer service. Hopefully, we won't have to get an attorney involved & they will refund the money as professional businesses would do. Let’s see.

Besides the fact that they harassed us every month for three years, they had the nerve to change our payment due date the last year and charged us ungodly late fees for being one day late. Our payment was due by the 15th day of the month and we sent every payment by MoneyGram, and on our very last payment, they decided they wanted it paid by the 5th day of the month. I explained that there was no way that would be possible because my husband had been laid off and we paid our bills on specific days for a reason.

The moron on the phone threatened to repo our truck if we didn't come up with our final payment by the 5th so I simply told him that I would burn it before I let them take it after paying 17 thousand dollars for a truck that started out being only 9 thousand and the fact that we didn't even owe a full payment pissed me off even more. I had been told we would receive our title 10 days after we paid our last payment but that was in February and we are now in October and I'm being told that we have to go to the DMV because they don't have it! We as consumers really need to stand up for our rights. This is not right nor is this legal!

I own an auto dealership that signed up to do business with Westlake Financial about 5 years ago. When we had customers with very poor credit we would sometimes arrange financing through Westlake. Westlake charges dealerships very high fees in order to approve subprime loans (usually over $1000 per loan). There are lots of added fees as well for special circumstances that get added on.

The last customer I financed with them was the deal-breaker for me. They approved the loan with a fee of $1050. The customer had a fabulous $5000 down payment and was borrowing $8000. That means that Westlake should send me a check for $8000-$1050 (our check should be $6950). They sent us about $900 less. When I asked where the rest of it was, they explained: $500 fee was because the borrower's address does not come up on Google maps. I was aware of this stipulation.

Another $100 fee was because I didn't sell a worthless insurance product to the borrower called GAP insurance. GAP insurance only helps people who are upside-down in their vehicle - this woman paid $5000 down and had lots of equity and would never need GAP, but because I didn't sell it to her, they took another $100 out of my check. I was also aware of this stipulation. But there's about $300 still that was missing.

I talked to my local Westlake rep. He and I both talked to the regional Westlake rep. The regional rep talked to his superiors (talk about a broken system) and they could not tell me where the other $300 went. They also said they could not fix the problem. But they promised to make it up to me on the next two loans that we sent to them - they would pay me back even more over the next 2 deals. Hmm. Should I trust a company that just stole $300 from me? Would you trust a thief to "make it up to you"?

Surely a large corporation is trustworthy right? Even though they just stole $300 with no authorization and no explanation. Westlake is the epitome of a brain dead corporate bureaucracy that burns bridges right and left due to its old school corporate hierarchy where the executive elites train their workers to raise the bottom line at any cost - even if it means lie, cheat, and as in my most recent experience, steal. Companies like this with no moral fiber do not last long.

We have had a loan from Westlake for 36 months that we paid 36 payments of almost 2 months. After making our final payment they repossessed the car. When I called to find out why I was given 3 different reasons - one was I missed 3 payments periodically throughout my loan. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I asked if he could tell me what months I was missing and he refused to tell me. Instead he asked me why and I told him so I could check my records for receipts and he said, "You honestly think you have receipts for the last 3 years." I then pointed out the fact, "If you take what you're saying I owe and divide by what my payments were it was two different totals." He said now I was comparing apples to oranges and it boils down to I'm not getting my car back unless I pay everything they say I owe in full. He told me he was looking at proof that I missed payments, was extremely rude and belittling and chuckled at my frustration several times.

Two days past and I got proof that I paid all my payments so I called them back and spoke to my rep and told him I have confirmation numbers for all my payments. He placed me on hold for several minutes then came back and said they repossessed for extra interest they charged for the months we paid our payment late. We were never told about extra interest and none of our Billing statements reflected these charges either. I spent 2 hours listening to him

say I had to pay the whole amount to get it back, it wasn't their fault and he didn't know why they didn't list these charges on my statements. He then told me if I made a payment that day they could write a new contract for the remainder of what they said I owe and I would be able to get my car back.

4 days later I still have not heard anything or received any email with a new contract. I have tried calling repeatedly and everyone I talk to says the people I need to talk to aren't in the office and they can't access my account so they don't have any answers to my questions. In the meantime I am being charged daily storage fees everyday my car sits in impound. Then today I received a intent to sell letter dated the day after I talked to my rep, that says I need to pay the full amount before the 23rd which is only 2 Weeks to the day that my car was repossessed or they were going to privately sell it.

Two days ago at 1 am, my 13-yr-old son and I were up and he told me, "Mom, someone is shining a light in the window and it's not the cops!" When I asked where at, he told the mud room! Now after you enter the back door, you're in my house because the mud room goes to the basement and there is no lock on my door to the mud room to the kitchen! As we were sitting on the couch, we muted the TV to hear someone turning the knob to open the kitchen door! Needless to say, all I could say was, "Whoever is about to come through that is about to face the ** person!"

I had told my son to crawl on the floor and see if he could see anything! The next thing he said to me was, "Mom, someone in a dulley is taking your truck!" Needless to say, I got up, went out the front and stopped him dead in his tracks as he pulled out of my driveway! Now, I was behind my May payment but with the self help repossession laws, they are to send me a certified letter telling that they are going to pick it up. That law was broken because they didn't! During the time repossession inc guy pulled out my truck, he damaged my garage and floor! Oh yeah, he also opened my overhead that was closed!

I was then told I had to come up with $857.52 for May and June's payment, repo fees and towing charge of $375.00 when the law states and with $250.00 for anything 20,000 pounds or less and storage of only $7.00 a day with the new laws! And the ** who unlawfully entered my home and caused damage to my home will get what's coming to him when I get done with the police dept and I am going to be seeking for the full amount of money back! And of course, the ones who hired them say, "It has nothing to do with us!" Wanna bet, Westlake? You contracted them which make you liable!! So I'm all in with this class action suit!! Breaking the laws and think that you don't have to follow them? Guess what, you do! Not pay the piper as my dad will say!!!! This is the damage that they did!

I was in MVA on 4/27/13 and this caused some injury in my neck and back. Due to the type of work that I do, I was given a note by my primary care physician that I was not to work for 3 weeks unless it was light duty! I did what was required to heal so in the month of May, I returned to work and on the 9th day, I got re-injured at work on 5/27/13. I was told by the representative from Westlake that if I call on the 2nd of June day later after the car is due, I qualified for deferment and to pay $50. Being that I got re-injured and was back to disability, I didn't work after 5/27 and between physician and Worker's Comp, I've been on the waiting and losing side.

I have no good representatives that understand or even care. All they want to hear is how I'm paying the loan and to make Westlake more interesting, they have me on collections for being 7 days late. They record all my calls and ask me the same questions. No one takes a few minutes to read and see the notes. There are incompetent people working at Westlake Financial and the supervisor never talks. Never in the many cars and dealers have I dealt with such a company. I will pay every cent I owe Westlake Financial but you better believe that if the calls and harassment don't stop, I'm reporting you all to Better Business Bureau for not handling correct protocols with your customer.

I have worked for AT&T phone services in customer service and have received awards on excellent customer service satisfaction and in sales and winning clients back from other competitors. Not having excellent customer service says a lot of a business because I will tell everyone I know how Westlake Financial is the worst financial service. I speak English and Spanish fluently so I get calls from Westlake in Spanish also. I will speak to my attorney about this!

I financed my first car through Westlake Financial. I bought the car for $7,000 with $2,000 down. In the beginning, everything was smooth. As a college student, I hit some financial bumps in the road and was late with my payments. The first time I was ever late (1 month behind at this time), I got harassing phone calls at least 10 or more times a day and every time it was different person calling me and harassing me after I had previously made payment arrangements with the person I spoke to previous to that. I had one collector call and call me everything but my birth name and tell me that it's people like me that make it hard for other people. I simply hung up the phone and sat in shock over what just happened. Even after I made the payment, the phone calls didn't stop. I tried explaining I'm trying to balance school and work full-time. My job is giving me the runaround on hours. There was no help. Just more harassment and people calling constantly.

I was 2 months behind on payment and I finally had the money needed to catch up. I owed $589 and only had the $500. I was told that if I did not find the $89 and pay the rest that day, that my car would be repossessed. In fear of losing my car, I had to borrow money to pay the full $589. But recently, I fell behind due to losing my job. I was making my payments and fell behind again (only 1 month). Without any warning, I woke up the next day to tire marks of where they had dragged my car out of the parking lot of my complex. I have since been told from April that if I didn't at first pay $1,100 by the end of week, my car would be sold. Then I was called (oops, I mean harassed) by another collector saying if I didn't pay $2,200 by the end of the week, my car would be sold.

I begged and pleaded that I can't afford that kind of money. With my pleading falling on deaf ears, I told them to do what they needed to do because I can't afford to pay that kind of money all upfront. Even with that, they still didn't stop calling. They still call me 10 or more times a day and call and harass my references. They tell my references personal business that is, by law, not to be shared with anyone but myself. To date, I received a phone call this morning at 9AM and told the collection representative I know that he shared my personal business because the person he called knew nothing about me having a car financed and stated his name to me. I told him this and he called not only me, but my reference, a liar.

He told me because I never know what's going on in my life and I have so many uncertainties, that he could not help me. That I should call him when I know what I'm going to do. I also asked him before he rudely told me I knew nothing about my life, why hasn't the car sold yet. They have been telling me since April that the car was going to be sold. It's now June, why are they still using the same line? I was told it's because the car has a lot of miles on it, which it did when I bought it, and there's something wrong with it. Now when they took the car, the car was mechanically sound. Nothing wrong with it. It was well cared for by my mechanic and now they want me to pay $2,200 for something that they screwed up.

I was then told to pawn my loan off on to some of my references, see if they wanted to take over the loan. I would never ever pawn this off on my worst enemy. I am now letting go of the car and saying Westlake can go to hell with gasoline soak panties. The hell they have put me through has caused me health problems from the stress, and I'm only 22 years old. This is by far the worst company ever. I'd rather take my chances buying something on Craigslist. I will never recommend this company EVER!!

Two weeks later, the story changed and my customer was still not financed by them and no $ for the car was paid to me. Truth - if the customer doesn't make first payment, the dealer will not get a warning, only a demand to buy back the loan. He may or may not be able to replace Westlake's lien dependent upon if he needs a banking license in their state.

The dealer is now the bank and is responsible for payment servicing and repossession if necessary. In mid-2010, I lost my job and my car was repossessed (with me being behind 2 months on payments). I started another job and I wanted my car so I worked until I was able to get it back.

First off, they call you 50 times a week, 10 times a day (even before your payment is due). If you're late, they call you constantly even if you've already worked out payment arrangements. They managed to get my mother's number and called her once before saying all kinds of nasty things, over talking her, threatening, just being rude to the point of my mom being in tears!

My wife and I have had a loan with Westlake Financial Services since taking possession of our car in August 2010. Something told me not to sign, but my wife really wanted the car and it was supposed to be a new beginning. We have not been late, never late, and not currently late. However, by the way we have been treated by their loan servicing department and the Executives, you would think that we were late and deadbeats. That is exactly how they have treated us. Our issues go with the continued stalking and abusive behavior of the reminder calls that took place for seven days prior to the payment due dates at a rate of 3 times per day and followed by the usual calls if the check didn't get there in time, post-marked before or on the due date. These early calls went on for well over a year and a half. After fighting with the people and management, they stopped. Then, it was the late payment calls. Again, their attorney, Jack ** (General Counsel and SVP of Administration), agrees that they should not have happened because they were never technically late. Yet, they continued to do it. We'll see what happens this next month.

It goes deeper than the usual stalking and abusive behavior. It goes to predatory practices by the company as well as making false and misleading statements to us regarding the initiation of the loan and the credit reporting statuses. They were claiming some letter from the bureaus told them that they wanted a copy of my identity and social. Bureaus denied it. This went on for the duration of the loan without proper notification by WFS. Consumers have rights, and we need to know what they are. Do they have a right to harass you and stalk you? Not as I have just described. In fact, they have a duty to tell the truth and provide factual information along with not call you when they feel like it. They would actually call my cell phone! And it was embarrassing when they would call with a reminder 3 times a day. Imagine being in a meeting with some people and you’re on your break when WFS calls and tells you that your payment is due when it isn't!

If there is an attorney looking at Westlake practices, feel free to contact me. We have been interviewing attorneys lately. As to a class action suit? I am not sure that it would serve each individual case. I can tell you that we have filed complaints with the FTC, BBB, and the State of California Department of Corporations. I would suggest that everyone else do the same! Their main offices are in Los Angeles. I have already skip traced the ownership of Westlake Financial Services down to his residence and residential numbers. Don Hankey doesn't seem to care much about the consumers and their rights, just the dollar factor. He is a Sub-Prime lender, which helps him pad his coffers more. His other companies are listed on his website: www.HankeyGroup.com. Harassment, malicious misrepresentation, anticipatory breaches of contract, unorthodox methods of debt collection, fraudulent and tortuous conduct, etc. I paid less than $16k for the car out the door with $4,000 down, and $11,702.59 financed. I was told more than once that my interest was fully paid and would see it go down quickly because now I'm only paying on the principal. That was retracted.

I have been told I cannot refinance. Pay early, nor will I ever pay off the interest during the life of loan. So far, I paid $9,000 on the loan. I was being told that I still owe $8,000 and that I paid $21,000 for my car, not $15,000. What?! The car was wrongfully repossessed and had to be returned to me because I mentioned the "tort law" and punitive damages resulting from wrongful repossession. They made arrangement to pay with me, then tried to pretend it never happened and they had no record of the arrangement. After a near aneurism and a ton of googling, I was able to get my car returned due to bank error. The repo fee was supposed to be cleared, but they attached to the end of the loan for 8 months and expect me to pay interest on that, but hold every late payment and fee against me.

When I brought up the wrongful repo fee I paid daily interest of 23.99% on for 8 whole months before they did what they promised me, they told me to stop being ridiculous and bringing up old things! Unbelievable! It is outrageous! Please help. I should be nearly paid off, not still owing on a never-ending interest rate based on loan, plus tax and down payment total with no payoff quote. Also, I'm being told it was a five year loan! It was not! They lie, cheat, scam, bully, extort, harass, you name it. These people are " tort terrorists." Please help, I don't want to lose my car after all this and just lost my mother and being screwed by my family in every aspect with my inheritance.

I previously owned a car through Westlake Financial. When I was laid off in 2009, I asked for them to refinance my loan. They stated to me they don't do that and I would have to find an outside source. I dealt with them for 3 years and was almost finished paying them off when they repo my car. My balance was under $2000 and they were not willing to work anything out. They harassed my family and friends. I take care of my 88-year-old grandmother, who has high blood pressure, and each time they call, she became so upset and overwhelmed that I would have to calm her down because of how rude and disrespectful they were. Dealing with this company was so stressful. If you need anything, I'm here.

As an active duty soldier deployed to Afghanistan, Westlake Financial refused to reduce my 21.99% interest rate to 6%; and when they were put on notice that they were being reported to all government agencies for violation of SSCRA, they repossessed my car, closed my account and charged off the loan. I am starting a class action lawsuit. I have already contacted the State of California - Department of Justice about Westlake and all that is needed are other CA residents to sign on with me who have fallen victim to Westlake Financials' unscrupulous business practices. Contact me, provide contact info and brief explanation of what your unfortunate experience was with Westlake. Once we reach at least 10 people (I am certain I will have much more.) we can go get them!

This is not the first time I have heard of this bank being so rude. Something needs to be done about these people, like they should not be allowed to work in a place like this. They have a lot of fixing to do. Don't they want to be a professional bank.

My vehicle was stolen out of my driveway this morning. I filed a report with the police and filed a claim with the insurance company. I called Westlake at 7 AM CDT to take them to GPS track the vehicle and they notified me that the dept wasn't open and to call back. So we called back, when they opened and George notified us to fax the card we got from the police department, so we did this. We have been trying to call them for an hour since then and no one will answer the phone. We have called continuously from two different phones and it just rings and rings until a message tells us to call back later. We can't even get the automated line anymore. I think this company is scamming us. When we bought the car Westlake required us to have a GPS installed and I think they stole our vehicle. If I find this out, I plan to sue the ** out of them. I may sue them either way. Someone help please!

I have missed a monthly payment for my car, and this is not the first time, I have been late before, regardless, I still made payments to stay current. I wanted to know my rights as well as the laws of receiving a call from bank.

The first time I became late, I was called several times at work to where my boss got on the phone and stated that personal phone calls was limited to the employees. Still, they disregarded that statement and continued to call several more times, talking to every co-worker in the department, mentioning that they were in the process to repossess my car and requesting for my information from my co-workers. Being that I work in a hospital, our information is confidential. Do they have the right to do that? Isn't that threat and harassment?

It has been several months since I purchased a car at Pedder Nissan Car Dealer in Hemet. It was picked up in front of my house six months ago by a towing truck paid by Nissan Car Dealer. I had an Expedition 1999 book for $2800, I used it as a down payment. The car that was purchased from this car dealer was approved by Westlake Financial Services.

Because I was having problems within a few weeks after purchasing, I wanted to bring it back and get my Expedition back because I was having a lot of issues with it. One day, I was driving along freeway 15 towards Las Vegas around 8 p.m. when the car just stopped and did not start. I called one my friends to help me so I can get home. I had to come back the next day to pick up the car and paid my friend to get it started.

I discussed this with Pedder Nissan financial manager and the person who handled the loan. She told me that it was too bad but they can't do anything about it because I've already driven the car from their parking lot. She was very upset, nasty over the phone. I asked about the condition of the car and they told me it was well-conditioned and they don't think the car would break down on me. I have no knowledge regarding cars. I thought they took advantage of me.

Now I am car-less and still in hole with the collection agency for the check they've sent to collection agency. Westlake Financial sent a letter to me that the loan was canceled. It means that I no longer have an account/contract with them. They have re-assigned the contract back to the selling dealership. I called Nissan to discussed once again the issue. Prior to this, the bank decided to close my account. Nissan refused to give me my car back and the check that I've issued as part of my down payment $1250.

Prior to all these, I've discussed with credit department and the manager regarding returning the vehicle to them. My complaint was, when I wanted to settle this issue, I was ignored and they refused to take the car back, they refused to give me my Expedition and the check. When Westlake Financial closed my account, they asked Nissan to re-pay them for the loan of the car I've purchased. Nissan re-paid them and took the car back from me and I've lost the Expedition plus I have to deal with collection agency who wanted their money. I'm sure that the vehicle that they took from me was sold for the same amount, which was 21% they charged for it. Now that I want my car back, I never heard anything from them! And the collection agency paid them $1250. Now they got paid 4x maybe more from this deal.

Please help me to reconcile and to recoup the vehicle I've lost plus the $1250 I had to re-pay to the collection agency. Expedition Kelley blue book $2800, $1520 total of $4300 including the agency penalties/charged. Your help is very much appreciated.

So I've been a victim of my own stupidity. I defer in one payment and at the beginning of the loan, I was late quite a few times--10 out of 39 payments. I finally, in the last two years of the loan, actually caught up with the payments and life was good.

Now before I get to my complaint, I have Westlake Financial as a lender so these ** are a dollar short from being a shark loan. We know it and they know it, well, I actually got to the 36 payment without a hitch but--wait a minute--at the end of the loan, I checked and realized I still own a thousand over the loan amount due to a defer payment and the late charges.

Now yes, I could have done better and not have to deal with this but like with some other companies you think, well I'm sure they'll understand. Boy was I wrong. These people not only have been rude but they called me a liar, a thief, and a dead beat. Okay--wait a minute--I have paid in 36 months over 12000 dollars and I'm not good enough now, the loan with a (and I'm the thief) 21% interest rate and the late charges and all ended up being four thousand dollars over what the price of the car was. I paid, but I was still not good enough. They keep on calling when I call them five minutes prior explaining that the remainder 174 dollars that I own them would be paid three days after I had made a payment of 800 dollars. And then this ** told me, "Well are you gonna have the money to pay the repo company and pay us because I am putting this note here that says this truck needs to be repo asap. We have a tracking GPS on the truck and we know exactly where it is right now and they will take it from you tonight."

I have taken this ** apart from the panels to completely replace the electrical system and the dashboard and believe me, I told them, "You ** are not James Bond. I have 10 pits that will tear anyone's ** just by snooping close to my yard. So you and your GPS can kiss my **."

But you know what, I felt offended so I asked to speak to his supervisor and the ** told me, "I'm my own supervisor." I just laughed then hung up. Right after that, they have the audacity to send me a "How Am I Doing Feedback Report." Now that crap is funny so needless to say, I won't be doing business with these loan sharks anytime soon.

My wife contacted them after 9:00 this morning. Marcella was the contact person. Marcella told my wife if we turn in list of references, proof of employment, proof of residency and make payment before noon, there should be no reason we cannot get the car back today. I faxed this information at 10:47.

I called them at 15:00 and Marcella tells me they will not have the information until Monday. Marcella's supervisor then tells me because they have not received funds or the funds have not been released, and the repossession company has not sent the bill for the repossession, they will not know anything until Monday.

My problem is they have had most of Friday to verify funds and to get the bill from the repossession company. I then asked who was going to pay the storage cost for the vehicle for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and they said I would have to. They place the repossession order on the car because they said they could not reach us. That is a load of crap and after further questioning, it became apparent that they chose to call us on a number that we told them was the kids phone and one we the parents rarely answer. If you want to call us, you have to call the cell phone they know this. It is apparent to me they are trying to scam me and my wife out of more money.

I make my payment each month (about $350). I always pay more, one or two hundred more. I ask that before it’s applied to the principal. They don’t; they apply it to next month's payment so they can get their interest without dropping the balance. I want it corrected from the start. I want the interest corrected from the first payment. This caused stress, a lot of it, each month.

I took over payments on a vehicle from a person who wasn't able to pay any longer. The loan stayed in his name. I paid the one back payment that was due. Then, I was told I needed to make two more payments because of bounced checks from the person on the loan. They say no checks came back to them and Westlake was lying to get money. Well, I paid $65 to defer the payments, then my next payment would be due on Aug 14. Last week, I got a call from a private number. The person was threatening me saying he was the repo man coming to pick up the truck. I told him I didn't think so and hung up on him.

On the other line, the person I got the truck from was calling. He said they threatened him and cussed him out. They told him he was going to jail because he fraudulently signed the loan contract. They said he never was intending to pay the payments even though there is only a year left on the loan. I called them asking what the problem was. They cussed and called me a thief. I told them a payment wasn't even due yet and no one better come try to take my truck. They yelled at me and demanded I send money. I told them I would on the due date and nothing before then.

Then Jerry, a supervisor, got on the phone. He started screaming at me, threatening me with jail and that he was going to report the truck stolen. I told him I knew the law and I wasn't going for his lies. My wife got on the phone as I was boiling mad. He cussed at her, called her a mom and a worthless woman and to put the man back on the phone, that she didn't need to even speak to him. She cussed him back and told him never to call our house again. They haven't since.

If you search google for Westlake financial complaints, you will find a plethora of them. Some were threatened with death, jail and terrorist threats. One lady was told to take her black ** back to Africa and she was only answering the phone and had nothing to do with it. They are racist and unethical. You will find thousands of complaints on them and people wanting to file a class action lawsuit against them.

They have and continue everyday to break the Fair Debt Collection Act. They must be stopped. I am begging for help with this. No one is going to threaten my family this way.

My lender contacted me with an offer to renew my physical damage car insurance for another 6 months. I chose to renew because it helps me save on my car insurance. According to my contract, I have 28 scheduled payments with the lender in the amount of $424.64 which included physical damage insurance. After I renewed my insurance, my car payment increased from $424 to $461 per month. I contacted the lender and was told that although my insurance premium had actually decreased, my payments increased. I would like to know if this is illegal and if so, I am going to pursue this issue. $37 extra per month can go to food for my 3 children. This small increase in this economy has affected me.

I am 30 days behind on my car payment. My car was repossessed. I called them this morning (the next morning, it was repoed at night) and asked for the amount I needed to get it out. She stated that I had to pay $238.00 today or it would be sent to Arizona for an auction. I stated that I could pay the full amount due $641.00 on Friday (two days from the day of our conversation). She stated that it was going to be sent to Arizona and I had no recourse to get the car back.
