If you complain about any of them, watch out because they will screw things up for you to get satisfaction. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I paid my loan off in full and they still took out the monthly payment. I called them to retract my consent of automatic withdrawal and to verify total repayment of loan. I hung up with the understanding that I owed them nothing and they no longer had authorization to go into my account. They did it anyway. When I called about it they said I would be reimbursed in 21 business days. Three weeks later I called to check on my refund they had not even processed it, if I had not called they would not have activated my refund. Bottom line, it took them 5 minutes to take unauthorized money out of my account but it will take them a month to send me a check via air mail. This is the embodiment of unprofessionalism.

I had a car loan with Westlake Financial. I live in Illinois with no credit, no co signer and they were the one bank to take me, yes interest was a lot but I'll take what I can get. Over time I'd call to make a payment. They were always so nice. My last payment made she said "Congratulations!" That alone meant a lot, it's the little things too. Since I had no credit, paying off a car would help boost it, right? None of my payments went to my credit, I was panicking. I called and right away Triana understood my concern, spoke with her super and he said he'll put in a request with the credit bureau from my first payment to my last. I couldn't thank them enough. I did not have one bad experience with Westlake Financial. I highly recommend using them as a bank. They want to help, they want you to have a good experience. They're the one company I have actually had this with. Thank you again so much, truly means a lot.

I would like to share a very uplifting experience that I encountered with a representative by the name of Mary. In February I had back surgery, in May I was rear ended in a car accident. My financial situation became very challenging and I got in the rear with my payments. Mary went above and beyond to assist me with my account. She was courtesy, competent and compassionate. Westlake Financial is very fortunate to have her on their team.

The dealer where I got my car from, they failed to give me the extended warranty that I paid for thru Westlake Financial, and somehow they (the dealer) did not return the money to Westlake Financial on time. So, I called Westlake Financial to let them know of my situation, Andrea ** (in Insurance Department - Warranty) took my call and from that day on, she was always calling me and letting me know how things were going with my situation. It took a while for the dealer to return the money, but Andrea ** always called me on the day that she said she would, sometimes I was not able to take her calls; but she always left a message for me. Andrea ** didn`t stop until the money was returned into my account with Westlake Financial. Thank you so much Andrea ** for all your help.

Finally she was patient, able to listen to my problem and like nothing fixed it. I asked to be transferred to her manager some lady and I told her how happy I was with her employee. First of, I should say I should have gone with my gut on this one. I would have saved myself SO much trouble. My husband and I purchased a vehicle in 2015 for $9000.00. We put a $5000.00 down payment, so you think that would make it around 6 grand on the loan (factoring in tax, tag, title, etc.) NOPE. The balance was 8900. I should have walked out of that dealership then. At the time, my Fiance and I had never financed anything before. The only thing that had ever been on my credit was a start-up loan I got after I graduated high school two years prior. They gave us a TWENTY-SEVEN PERCENT interest rate. Again, I should have ran wayyyy away. But we were young, desperate, and ignorant. This is why I say it was predatory lending they saw young, no credit, and pounced.

***THIS NEXT PART WE WERE CLUELESS ABOUT*** In addition to our interest rate, there is a 7 dollar a day PER DIEM which means "PER DAY." I called asking about this charge. They told me for everyday the loan is active 7 dollars will be added to the principal amount of the loan!!! The second I heard this is decided to try to refinance through another company. At this time we were 4 months into our loan and had never been late. When I went to refinance through my bank I was told that they could not help me due to the fact that I was 60+ days behind on the loan. I showed them my payment folder, receipts and bill with the Due date. Westlake had not been reporting my payments to the credit bureau. I called them in the bank's office wanting to know why this is happening and they could not tell me anything. After getting the run around for 30 minutes and being transferred about 50 times I was fed up.

Fast forward say 6 months my Fiance and I had tied the knot and had to pay for the majority of the wedding ourselves and we were in the process of buying a house. I was a week late on my payment and they called me offering a "Deferred" Payment, meaning they move that payment to the end of my term. I said sure, what they didn't tell me is that this payment would collect late fees. And these late Fees don't get added to your bill. They sit there, getting bigger and bigger. After paying nearly a year at 270.89 a month, and often just rounding up to 300 I checked the payoff. We had only paid down the loan 600 dollars! I was so shocked and upset.

Fast forward another 8 months. Over the past 8 months we had only been late on one payment, but there was a late fee that we still had no clue about. I call to make my payment in March, on a Tuesday. NOTHING IS SAID TO ME about a repo. I wake up to go to work on Friday and my car is GONE! I thought it had been stolen, because I left my keys in it. SO I call and file a police report to be called an hour later and told it had been repoed. I called Westlake and they refused to tell me where my car was. I was panicking because my laptop, purse, wallet, and my work computer were all in the vehicle. I even had a local deputy call and they wouldn't tell him where it was either.

I ask Westlake why I was repoed and they tell me it's because of an 85 dollar late fee. I was livid!! So over an 85 dollar late Fee they wanted me to pay a 375 dollar towing fee, not to mention a 50 reclaim fee, and a 195 reinstatement fee. As mad as I was I was going to pay it. The guys at the towing yard agreed to give me my stuff, but it was too late to get my car back that day. I spoke with Westlake and told them I would call Monday and pay them, because I was not going to pay them, and not have my car all weekend.

So Monday rolls around, and I couldn't get to the tow yard because my hours and theirs aren't the same and my husband is out of town. My off day was Wednesday so I told the tow yard, AND WESTLAKE I'd be paying them on Wednesday. I get a call Tuesday saying my car had been taken to auction. I WAS SO MAD. They told me I could get my car back after I paid the original charges for the repo, and now the auction prep fees, and transport fees Which came out to 1800 in addition the other roughly 500. And my car was in North Carolina. So needless to say I told them to keep the car. Please, save yourself the trouble and avoid the company at all cost. They are crooked and will do anything for another dollar.

My vehicle (2005 Kia Amanti) was repossessed on 6 Mar 17. I called Westlake Financial to see what I needed to do to get my vehicle. It was amazing how nice they were up till a point. Why is it that people that you have to deal with are so nasty but, get mad when they get the same treatment. Anyway I was going through a financial difficulty but needed to get my car back. So I called as stated and I was informed that, "Sure you can get your vehicle back. You have to pay this much and you can get your car back". Spoke to several people Miguel, Brady and Phillip from 9 Mar till 26 Apr 17 back and forth and off and on, me thinking that they would not sell my car until I found out they moved my car from Colonial Beach VA to Manheim, NC. That's when I started to feel that they just wanted me to pay the $1300 and not get my car because they sell it and not inform me.

On 11 Apr 17 I spoke to Bradley ** and he informed me that Brenda ** will be calling me back, the Acct.manager. No call back at all so I called again and spoke to Bradley again. I was told he was going to put a hold on the sale of my car so I can make payments to get it back. From that day, I knew it was going to be sold, never heard back from anyone. These people harass you at any time of the day and night every day of the week, but, I was trying to work things out to get my car returned so I would not have to purchase another one, that was also understood. On 25 Apr 17, I called Westlake Financial and Phillip at **, answered and informed me that Bradley was not available, to hold and he would be with me to assist me.

Phillip and I started talking, and I asked, "Was my car sold?" He paused then answered yes. "So what is the balance from the sale so I can make arrangements to pay this amount off the amount?" They claim to try to sell my car for what I owed was $1313.74. I have so many owed amounts from them ($1288.24) etc., the amount I now owe is $636.74. So Phillip says, "When can you pay that." I stated "I can send a payment on 5 May 17." What this amount includes I did not get. If you are a business you really need to give customers the total breakdown and not trying misleading them or nor should we have to ask because there is always hidden cost if you are crooked. Phillip was not nice and decides to raise his tone rude. He says, "Call me back next Friday okay." I hung up.

Then I thought about it and called Phillip back to ask for a letter from Westlake reference the payment arrangement. He say, "We don't do that." I asked, "Are you the owner?" No. "Then I will just go over your head. I need a letter to state that Westlake agrees with this payment arrangement to pay this balance, so I can have this for my records and I will talk to someone else" and I hung up.

If you sign an agreement to pay a loan of any sort why is it so hard for a company to give you a letter of agreement for your records. Not fair. So I sent an email and will send an email or send a letter in writing to the company once I investigate who the owners are and the accountants as well as their lawyers continuously because this is the way business is supposed to be done. I really did not have any complaints until this incident, but, I have read before all the other people's complaints, and I have even heard from dealers that send their clients to Westlake.

They DO NOT LIKE TO USE THEM. DON'T GET A LOAN FROM THEM. I am still waiting for this letter of agreement for the balance and as I know from talking to an attorney this is a law for me to request an agreement for my records. I have that right so I am expressing it. This a very unprofessional act and Westlake should not be allowed to tell anyone that has dealings with their company they do not give out any letters of agreements for payment arrangements when the customer has to sign a contract to pay for a car with them, same difference.

I have been with Westlake Financial for over 4 years and have paid my bill every month on time. But because I owed a $33 late payment they were going to repossess my car. FOR $33, THEY WERE GOING TO TAKE MY CAR AWAY WHEN I PAY MY BILL EVERY MONTH. The first time I am late, they filed repossession orders. On top of that even when I paid the amount they still had representatives calling me stating my account was delinquent. This company is ridiculous. There has been too many people complaining about this company. Never take a loan with this company. They do not care if you have paid your bill faithfully for years. For $30 they will threaten to take your car.

This company needs to be further investigated. Shouldn't there be a time frame before they can file repossession and a minimum amount they can take our car away for? $33 is ridiculous when the car is worth thousands and I have paid well over $10,000 to them over the years.

In Nov. 2016 I purchased my car through this company from hell. I had made payments on time every month and even sometimes ahead of time. In March of 2017, I ran into some financial issues due to changing companies and my pay dates changed as well. The rep I spoke with was very helpful and said because of my payment history, he would suggest doing a balloon payment to cover that month's payment, I was perfectly okay with that. April 2017 I make a payment of $881 to get ahead. On April 20th, I wake up to go to work at 7:30 AM and my car is missing. I'm thinking because of that large payment I made the same month, that my car was simply stolen. I went through the trouble and agony of calling the police and filing a report and all... The police told me my car was repossessed. I was FURIOUS because now, I had missed work for the first time today... They are very strict on time so now I'm without a job.

I also looked stupid in front of the responding officers. I called Westlake, and the woman on the phone told me my car was repossessed and I needed to make a payment of $981 in order to get my car back. Not including repossession fees which totaled to a whopping $1351... I definitely don't have that amount of money lying around. Which resulted in the rep telling me I need to make a payment NOW or that my car would be sent to auction between 24-48 hours. I am at a loss for words to describe the UNPROFESSIONALISM of this company. They put me and my family through the worst.

If I could give 0 stars I would!! Since I purchased my vehicle it has been hell with this company. They have stated one thing could be done and then it can't. Or something could not be done, yet if it benefits the company it can now be done. This is the most unethical, horribly staffed, discourteous, deceitful, unresponsive, mismanaged company I have ever encountered. I have called several times and for my complaints and issues and NEVER can I get a hold of someone that can actually assist me or even cares to do so. Stay FAR FAR AWAY if you can. If this company is your last resort - WALK!! It will save your sanity.

I purchased my car in Sept 2016. I fell behind following the death of my brother Dec 2016 (Funeral expenses were paid Out of pocket). They offered me the option to place 2 months at the end of the loan. The requirement was for me to make an additional payment - no problem. I even asked what additional interest would be accrued so that I could be aware and cover what I could. Four months or so later, when I called in to make that month's payment I am informed that the payments were never moved and I now owed upwards of 1500. I most certainly don't have 1500 lying around. I was instructed not to make that month's payment until I had the full amount.

The next month (Aug 2016) my car is gone and OVER 2500 to get it back. This is paid Sept. 15, 2016 (over 2500). I get my things and car back TRASHED. Old cups, carryout food, cigarette butts all over. I asked them to review the calls from when I agreed to move the payments to the end of the loan and was told they could not do that.

Oct 2016 (after paying everyone back that I had borrowed from) I asked for extra time to pay Oct bill and asked if I could pay Oct/Nov together. They agreed. They stated just keep them informed if anything changed. Other bills arose and I called back and asked I could pay 1.5 months and then another 1.5 months (for Oct and half of Nov and then in Dec the remaining balance for Nov and full amount for Dec). Again, they agreed. Dec bill was paid early, Jan was paid early, Feb was paid early, AND march was paid early. Out of nowhere my car is taken. WHAT!! I called in and NO ONE could explain why. I am apologized to and told my vehicle would be expedited back to me.

Hours later I call to confirm and get an update as I am now stranded at work. I get a hold of a moderately trained, severely lacking mediocre customer service skills supervisor named Vanessa. She then stated my vehicle would be voluntarily returned and asked for the address and name of who would be there to receive it. She stated she would try to get it done within 24 hours. RIDICULOUS!!!

I called again a few hours late spoke with the same skill-lacking supervisor Vanessa and she NOW states the calls and account is being review. WHAT!! For what? She stated I missed a payment for October. As we went over the receipts - we determined THAT WAS NOT TRUE. However, if this were the case - did anyone attempt to notify me? Why were the payments not applied to the oldest month? Whose fault is that really, I make the payment and WESTLAKE applies it to the account.

Here I am thinking I am all set and ahead each month and they are talking about a late payment from 6 months ago. So if I was late with my cell phone bill in October and my services are not turned off - are they going to turn them off in March after all subsequent payments are on time NO! None of this makes sense. They screwed up and now trying to FIND a reason to make the repo valid. Not to mention I can NEVER get a hold of a MANAGER or anywhere I can make a complaint.

The rep that I spoke with never gave me a date when this amount would need to be paid as it was not going against my loan balance. For several months the company did not report this as a charge off, nor send any correspondence or make calls demanding payment. I made a payment on 3/20/17 in the amount of 396.44. This paid the remainder balance to get my title in full. On 3/22/17 I received a credit notification stating that Westlake Financial reported my account as a charge off with a balance of 396.44. This was reported after my account was paid in full. Not sure how this is possible when it was never reported prior to making my payment. If you owe them 341 they charge you 1640.00. How, why don't know. They just want money and they make you go thru a lot... This company is the worst. Always coming up with new excuses to take more of my money. I make my payments on time and they don't seem to report it because it hasn't helped my credit at all. It has happened a few times before already where I make my payments and somehow they "never received anything". They have caused me so much stress and so much money. Even if you continue to email, fax, or send any type of proof of payment, they will still continue to say that they have not received your payment. The exact same thing happened to my mother who is also financed with them. Again, many times we sent over proof of payment, we even had bank tellers helping us, calling the company for us and telling them it clearly showed in her bank statements we had made the payments. Supposedly they had not received any payments for her account for 3 months.

So after trying to fix the situation over and OVER, they finally somehow found the payments, BUT they never took off the late payment fees, which is something we are trying to fight now... I am tired of this company and I DO NOT recommend for anyone to Finance with them. They will make your life a living HELL. My car will be paid off by next month and I will make sure to keep every proof just in case they try to say I still owe them. But we are definitely trying to refinance my mom's car with another company.

This is the first review that i have written for a company. I have never been put in a situation like this and i am truly dumbfounded at how unprofessional this company has behaved with me. My vehicle got repossessed because I missed two payments. They did not warn me about repossession. Woke up and my car was gone. I had an agent contact me telling me that my vehicle was in auction. After balancing my finances I realized that I could not pay $1,300+ to get my car back then decided to tell them that I was going to let the vehicle go into auction because I could not make the payments and on top of that pay 1,300+ to get my car reinstated... The agent insisted on asking me PERSONAL questions to quote verbatim: "why couldn't you afford to make the payments?" "Where are you working now?" "What money can you give us now?"

I began to reply sincerely that my decision was to let the car go into auction and that I will pay off the loan. Then he began to get even more person and threaten me by telling me that I will still have to deal with them and that I am 23 and that this will affect my credit and that if I don't give them money that I will have a tough future. Long story short they somehow convinced me to reinstate the car because I had a call every single day from a DIFFERENT AGENT. Finally we came to an agreement and once they told em that it was going to be 1,300 then 2,300... then 1,3000 but he wanted me to pay right there and then and I told him that I would need a couple of days to come up with the money and the agent goes "No I'm sorry if you ain't got money then I can't help you because money talks" and continued on to say "I am going out of my way to help you when it's not my job to." The worst. EVER.

I paid the loan off. It was closed. I made a payment on my online bank app to them thinking it was my new loan company. My bank said the money wouldn't go though because it was closed out account. I called Westlake a month later. They said I didn't make a payment. Showed them proof then that said they would return the $500 dollar. Nope. Nothing. Got a lawyer to write a demand letter and 3 months later after calling so many times I just almost gave up. But now I want to make sure they pay and the more I read the reviews on this shady company. I get angry so now it's on.

I am going to make sure this doesn't happen to other people. They should not be in business. I will spend time and money doing what's right just give back the money you stole. If I didn't pay them back I wouldn't have good credit. Where's their accountability? They have none so I am reported them to the CFP and will be getting more legal. I feel this happens to so many people that we just take it and don't fight back for what's right.

This company is FRAUD!! I had my car repossessed because of a missed $40 payment that I was unaware of. They did not contact me whatsoever, my address was changed and they still found the car but couldn't find me to tell me it would get repo'd if I didn't make a payment ASAP (which I would have, had I known). They took my car on a Friday morning around 3 AM, knowing you have to make an appointment with the repossession place as well as them being closed on the weekend and that following Monday due to a holiday. I was getting the runaround for hours trying to figure out how much it would cost for release. Finally was told $750 was my total and I could pay $500 to get it out and $250 at the end of my contract. So I paid $500 and had to wait HOURS for them to release my car, I called and called they kept telling me to call back later.

The repossession place stops taking appointments at 3 PM, I called Westlake at 2:30 and they told me "your car was released earlier around 1 PM". Nobody bothered to tell me that every hour I kept calling!! So I had to wait till Tuesday to get my vehicle out. When I retrieved my vehicle, the ignition wouldn't start for a split second and the check engine light went on then off. I called & complained to Westlake and they told me a manager would get back to me, NEVER DID. Next day, as I am driving on the freeway, my Dashboard went out and everything shut off but the vehicle was still running, it went back and forth for the whole car ride, then I turned off for an hour and it went back to normal. Mind you, for the year I have had my car, I have NEVER had ANY issues with it!! Westlake told me to get a lawyer & have them call or to take it up with the repossession company myself. How ridiculous is that???

I then, looked on my online account and stated my repossession fees are now $620 so I called again. NOBODY could tell me what was going on, I have spoken to at least 12 different representatives!! Still NO manager or supervisor available. Until I lied and said "I was just speaking to a manager then my call was dropped." They sent me directly to a manager!! The manager broke everything down and it all sounded like CRAP!! They told me my bill this month was nothing because I already paid it included with the $500 then the manager told me I still owe for this month. Now if I wouldn't have called and found that out, I would have had my car taken AGAIN and it would have been MY fault!!

They lacked communication with me, charged me EXTRA and also, I was told 2 times my payoff was about 2,235 then the manager told me my payoff was 2,618 and could not explain why I was told otherwise! Mind you, the car was only 8,000. I put 4,800 down to get the car and I have been paying on it for over a year!!! AND IT'S STILL THAT MUCH LEFT??? This company is janky, sneaky, unhelpful, rude and PATHETIC!! I will be paying my car off next month and they will not be getting another penny from me!!! I will NEVER do business with them EVER again!!!

I have never, ever seen my husband so stressed out in my life. This financial company is beyond ridiculous. Please, please, please do not deal with them. My husbands car got repossessed on Jan/8/17 because he was 27 days late on his payment. Next day he called in to pay what he owed. After they asked him to fax his Driver license, proof of employment, three references. He did all of that and after they did NOTHING! He asked where his car was at and they didnt know. They kept telling him that the status on his car was "PENDING".

10 Days passed with him calling in trying to get ahold of a manager but no one could get ahold of him. Customer service is no help whatsoever. Most of the people that work in that department is **! Every single day my husband kept asking questions they could never answer only to tell him that everything was still pending! Today I had to be extremely rude because I was fed up and guess what? I got the same responses which was NOTHING!

Finally today he got ahold of a manager and the Manager said the car had a release order since 2:30pm yesterday. So why didn't anyone tell him this yesterday? Why didn't they put this in the system so he could've picked it up!? So the Manager gives my husband a number to where the car was at. He called excited thinking he was going to get the car back but only to find out that the car went off to Auction today in the morning all the way out to North Carolina.

That's not all though. They told him that Westlake Financial never sent a release form for my husband to pick up the car that they sent out a release form for the car to go off to auction... So everything that they asked him to do was for nothing. He did everything he was suppose to do and for what? So we contacted the Manager again and now he's saying hes gonna contact the people in North Carolina to hold the car so my husband can pick it up.

Mind you we live in Woodbridge Va guys. This is just so unprofessional and non-caring. I just want to let everyone know you get no chances with this financial company. None whatsoever. Even if youre a few days late kiss your car goodbye cause they dont give a **! They have no heart when it comes to their customers. Their rates are incredibly high and they are not willing to renegotiate or refinance their loans. I became disabled and unable to make full payments due to reduced income and they have no options to allow for extenuating circumstances.

I called them repeatedly to keep them abreast of my intentions to pay them back in smaller increments but each time you speak with a representative they act as if I had never spoken with them. Their agents were very rude, one of them even got into a shouting match with me after I told them I could not make a payment until a future date. They were worse than a collection agency. I am currently left with a balance of $17,500 since the thief decided they no longer want to make payments on the car, and it is now going to get repossessed. It's affecting my credit (obviously).

I assumed the company would be very cooperative and understanding; boy was I wrong. Between the rude customer service reps hanging up in my face, to the unfair legal department, this place is a complete joke. After providing my police report, ID theft affidavit, etc., they refuse to believe me and claim that I opened the account. This only makes me question what kind of loan officers they are sending out to approve loans. How did they allow it to get this far? Was it an inside job? My signatures were 100% forged but they won't let me see the loan agreement to prove that. I'd rather pay $17,500 in attorney's fees than pay this place a penny. Please, do not do business with this company.

This has been the worst experience of my life!! I have never ever write a review about anything, but this company uff! This company should be illegal or shut down. I got a 2004 Nissan Murano, and the lending bank was Westlake financial. First I gave a down payment of $5k for a loan of $10,464.94. First bill had a balance of $10,121.50 which idk where the rest of the money went. I had pay every month since 2013 the amount of $350.00 without missing a payment. At the beginning of this year I paid $6,000.00 toward the payoff amount since I really want to finish this loan and get away from Westlake forever. At the time I paid the $6k my payoff balance was $996.00. After that they repo my car, end up paying $1,121.00 to get my car back (plus $50 to the towing company, plus $28.00 to DMV cause they destroy my plates). I enter into an agreement extension with them because supposedly my contract expire.

Now I only had two payment left to make each of $350.00 equal $700.00. This happen 11/09/16, now is 11/29/16 and she said my account is 48 days past due and I have late fees of $48, other fees of $300 plus the $700.00. I also really do not understand how they let people be so rude, with really bad attitude work as customer service. I explain to the guy that I just finish paying $1,121.00 on the 9th of this month, how is possible to have late payment? His answer was, "If you pay your bill that would not be a questions you would be asking." I wish I would have all this money and pay it all just for me not have to deal with this bank ever again. I honestly don't let them keep the car, just because I already have put so much money into this car, more than what the loan originally was. If someone could read this before signing anything with this bank please do not do it, you will regret it so much. I wish I had read all this bad review.

They are extremely unprofessional, will blatantly lie, and take money from your bank account, blame others for their shady business practices. All this happen to me. For a year things went fine on my car loan, deducting weekly payments directly from my employer and direct deposit. If it's 4 weeks in a month round $120, 5 weeks round $100. After reading reviews I felt lucky that everything went well for the first year. Then recently Westlake decided to deduct 364.40 from one week's pay check and it begins, lie, deception, more lies. They treat individuals in our situation (low credit scores) like crap, bottom line.

I don't work for any other finance company or have I ever shared my opinion about a company's service. From low level customer service reps, to managers, to supervisors I must've spoken to 6 Westlake employees and got 6 different reasons why my funds were withdrawn by $250. This started on a Monday, by Thursday I went to the Corporate office for answers because that's the only way you'll be able to speak face to face and call **. Keep in mind over a year each week the amounts listed above have been deducted. That should be a red flag and looked into, I got nothing over the phone and told to leave by head of security at Corporate after being told someone will help you. With it being Friday this supervisor was extremely apologetic and agreed it was our accounting dept and promised to get those funds back into my bank account.

I gave her account info, laid down and took a nap. Soon as I woke up checked my account and had NOTHING!!! The so-called supervisor. This company is shady, do your research! If you can find other options use them because in the end Westlake financial will cheat you. Go over all payments made if you're already with them, run if you're not. This happen over a week ago and $364.40 is still in Westlakes pocket leaving me paying late on some important bills, and being charged late fees. Shame on you Westlake Financial, now it's my duty to expose your shady business practices, lies, and greed.

So my account was 14 days late and I told the lady I was going to be late on my payment that was only 256 and if they could bear with me until Friday. She told me no and they were going to repossess the Vehicle. So long story short I've been having problems with this car since I got it. First the throttle control and now the transmission, starter and other problems that's cost 1850 dollars in repair. Now I pay the amount due which I was told which was 945. Now they're telling me I have to fax papers over. Okay no problem. Done. Now I was told to call back at 11am to see when the car is released. Now it's I'm 17.55 dollars short and have to pay it. Okay no problem. Done.

Now it's it take 2-5 days for them to Release the car. What? Get the hell out of here. I was told your people have all this done and it would be released today. It doesn't take all day to process papers. It takes about 2-3 hours tops. On top of that the customer service representatives are rude as hell I got hung up on 2 times and give different answers and told different things by different people. Westlake your staff suck and don't know how to do their jobs. Your company needs to get it together and when I asked to talk to a manager they wouldn't transfer me to one. So unprofessional???

I could make have made one payment that Friday coming and the balance the next Friday. Well, after talking with them, of course rude as hell, they said nope and it was Tuesday when I spoke to someone. I was pissed like hell, they couldn't wait till Friday for me to make one payment and pay the other the next week. Very bad company to work with.

Dealing with Westlake Financial is horrible!!! Vehicle was taken back by this company. I have gone round and round with these people. They hung up on me, transferred me all over the place, disconnects me, then I call back then finally talked to a person by the name of Mark ** who is the Finance Manager (so he say). I have told these people I have paid monthly on the vehicle I had before you took the vehicle back. They claim I was delinquent 6 months. They gave me a list of months I supposedly didn't pay. I told them, I normally pay thru my bank and I have records I have paid and they were so rude about it, they told me to prove it then! I printed out all my bank statements and shows I have paid every month, except for the 2 months I fell behind. But even that, I contacted them and told them I would be paying late, which they said "It was ok. You are not in default or 120 days late."

It's going to be 2 weeks now since the vehicle was taken. I have continued to call this Mark ** about paying the delinquent which is 2 months (and I'm sure by the all the fees they are now throwing in it). He has now told me my account is CHARGED OFF & "YOU HAVE NO ACCOUNT WITH US ANYMORE! BUT, if you want to get the vehicle back, you would need to pay 6,000.00" (that's the 1st time I called for an amount), then it went up to 7,000.00 (2nd time I called), last he threw in another 1,000.00 giving me amount of 8,000.00, plus the repo fees. I don't understand where he's calculating all this information from. Then I asked if he could work with me to pay off the delinquent amount and repo fees, which I contacted the repo company myself and they gave me 700.00, but he wouldn't and tells me, "I cannot promise to hold your vehicle until Aug. 29th", which he stated to me when I first called him.

I AM FRUSTRATED WITH THESE PEOPLE! I even emailed a Don Hankey, Chairman of the Board and also tried to contacting a Robert Engilman SVP/Chief Compliance Officer. No one has responded. I have been working on my credit and tried to keep it in good standings, but this company Westlake Financial is a SCAM!!! They do not care. Do NOT finance with them. I got a car which was a real lemon but am stuck with the payments. Westlake doesn't care. So in 18 months, they made over 94 dollars a month profit from my payments. Wow. There was a point I got a little slack because of being laid off but I have been so consistent since then. I had asked them for a lower payment to extend the loan from the 29 months but they refused. I tried to get the car dealer to take the car back and they wouldn't. Not only did it overheat and have major steering issues (worn shocks, bad axles and hub, etc), it needed brakes and all kinds of repairs that had me distressed for months.

Over the past six months however I have had no issues, so I guess I paid for everything to get fixed. Anyway, bottom line they are not a good consumer oriented company and the people who work there are rude and unconcerned for any problem you may have. On Sunday, June 27 there was a guy in our yard with my vehicle hooked up for repossession. Besides being panicked stricken I summoned my husband. According to Westlake, we had missed payments and it was up for repossession. After them taking the vehicle, I had to wait until Monday to speak with someone. Of course they cannot do this during business hours. I had my statements proving I was current. Westlake had added a extended payment due at the end of the loan and made our past due according to them. I argued this was not right as the amount added was nowhere close to my regular payment. Our payment was 389 but the amount added was 268. They also added three months of late fees. I was told this extension was just to get me caught up and it was not to applied to the end of the loan. So why did they take my 50.00 then?

I was then told by a representative that he was taking too long with me and I had to talk to a supervisor because "I do not understand statements". So after being told they are never wrong, I had to come up with over 1300 that day. Still the math was wrong for the added amount. So then I pull my credit report dated today. Wow, to my surprise my loan is CURRENT and the only late was a 30 day 1 year ago. Because we never received a default claimer giving us to a certain date to bring the account current, we have the statements showing the payments and I have the statement showing extra money added with no explanation, I have actually spoke with an attorney who was eager to take this case and go after Westlake. I may have temporarily lost my vehicle but I will win this war and hopefully stop this practice against other people they do this too.

The car was repossessed on Friday morning. We contacted Westlake Financial to see what it would take to payoff the car, the representative had to call the towing company to find out what they would be charging for the repossession and then came back with a total of $695.87 + $400.00 towing. The total payoff with fees for repossession was $1,157.87, so as instructed by the customer service representative we went to Wal-Mart and sent an immediate cash MoneyGram for the total amount due at 10:15 am. The transaction was confirmed within 10 minutes.

My daughter called Westlake with the tracking number and was told they had received the MoneyGram but it would take up to 24 to 48 business hours for them to release the vehicle. It is Monday morning at 10:41 am and they have still not released her vehicle they have not owned since Friday morning. At this point we consider her vehicle stolen by this company, not to mention the storage fees yet to be paid to the repo company. Firstly, live in Chesapeake Virginia and I have given Westlake a one-star rating merely as a required choice by the site, officially they get a negative star or black star for their customer service with regards to consumer fairness. I financed a vehicle through Westlake in 2015 and had customer service problems right from the beginning, for starters, when I would make payments, the company would charge $5.00 even when I walked the payment in to their bank Wells Fargo who would only accept the payment if you got a payment slip which only comes in the mail every month after your due date, that was a serious red flag, but what can you do you're in a contract and now you're realizing you're in one with a predatory lender.

Recently, the repoed my car for a late payment, I was supposed to have made $284.64 and I paid $180.00, I was disabled as a result of a bone infection and had two amputations that year I had gone into the hospital for another surgery. I hadn't got disability benefits yet so my income had changed and I made partial payments but always had it paid in full before the next payment was due and after getting out of the hospital a few days later could not make a payment because I didn't have a payment slip and the car was taken for $106.00 and they refused to tell me where it was taken for over a week and when they did I had to pay the repo company $35.00 to get my stuff when they should've given me my things when they picked the vehicle up at my home from the driveway around 3 pm.

Afterwards, everything went to hell with Westlake, they stopped calling up til a week later when I was told by a Christopher ** that if I would pay just my arrearages which was $106.00 and $284.64 he would put the repossession cost at the back of my loan and release the vehicle in 24-48 hours, I just had to send a copy of my payment letter from disability, a utility bill, and three references. I did as he requested and in good faith wired $500.00 and faxed over the information. When I called back to confirm no one knew of the arrangement and would not release my vehicle, customer service was nasty - hung the phone up me twice even though I was calm and respectful.

Everything I told you was recorded in their system that I told you except the amounts, now three days later they want me to give them $1094, that would be a total of $1594 I would have paid them, which I will not because as I have read other complaints this company has a profound history of taking your money and not giving your car back. Now at this point, I just want out of this relationship with these thieves. If you don't want problems don't deal with Westlake Financial services, they are a predatory lender.

I purchased a 2005 BMW 5 series and the financing was done through Westlake for $15,000 at payments of $499 for 36 months in June of 2012. I had my share of ups and downs financially which resulted in payments falling behind. I got a credit extension which placed the missed payments on the back of the loan, but little did I know that when the final regular payment was made in August 2015 the credit extensions that I took would be due in full. Fast forward to January 2016 Westlake repossessed my car for a principal balance of $998, yes $998 ** dollars. Unfortunately for me it happened at a time when we had a massive snow storm and I was unable to get to work. My car was sold in a auction, you would think that would be the end of it. So I called Westlake to see what my car sold for since the book value was $4,900 with the mileage of 190,000 in good condition.

The account rep from Westlake told me that my car did sell and that my balance was paid and no additional proceeds came from that sale. BS, that was February, in April I receive a certified letter from Westlake. I figured this the letter to confirm what my account rep stated 2 months ago. To my surprise it was a letter telling me that my car had sold for $3,501.12. You would think this was great news but after principal balance, repo fee, and some unexplained misc fees, my net payment from the sale was $1,431.12 out of $3,501.12. Here's the insult to losing my car for $998.00, according to the certified letter my payment was to be received within 30 days of April 20, 2016. Upon investigation my car sold March 02, 2016, and for a company that would repossess your vehicle if you are past 30 days.

My refund from the sale of my car is now more than 60 days late. Show me the money Westlake! Shame on you for stealing and lying. It doesn't take 60 days for a manager to sign off on check. I purchased a used 2004 Lexus RX330 (beautiful) October 2015. The 2nd day, I received a total of 3 calls confirming the purchase I just made, which seemed a little extreme but proficient. One of the repeated questions was how would I make payment? I advised them, that we'd use bill payment through our bank. They mentioned that that would not suffice as a viable payment method. From that, they mentioned that I can make payment online for $5 per payment, visit a local 7-11 to make payments for another small transaction fee. So I asked, "how can I make a direct payment for no fees?" They stated to mail a check some 3-5 days before the due date. From that point, I knew our interaction with Westlake (3+ years) would be brash.

Needless to say, the vehicle was wrecked and deemed totalled. Our car insurance provided received the payoff amount and paid the total amount within the allotted time frame. Westlake Financial has since added several other fees that our insurance nor I was not aware of. I've asked Westlake Financial for paperwork to show where and why the amount came from and I've yet to receive confirmation in writing!!! I'm highly upset as Westlake still has a hold on my credit due to this unknown amount on my account. I refuse to do any further business with this company and I'd suggest to my friends and family to follow suit. The resolution of this issue is STILL pending.

Also I try to refinance my car with Alexander's in Oxnard and they told me that my name is not even in my car payments. What can I do to fix these?

Updated on 4/27/16: Wow. I responded to Westlake Financial services, to resolve the situation lol. What a joke. Everything prior send wasn't legible, or not received. Gave them times, dates, even confirmation when they received them. They even had an excuse for that. We started with Alicia **. Ya that didn't work. She even gives lawyer advice, but can fix my problem. She went as far as to let me know that her job doesn't require us to report our credit.

I asked for someone higher, was probably her friend, her name is Licia **, another joke. All in all nothing is legible and "resend paperwork" again is all they say. I been trying to fix this so my next best thing is to file a grievance with consumers of financial protection bureau. Also contact Mr. Chris **, senior vice president of Center for Responsible lending. Supposedly Licia ** transfer me to a higher source, left a message. I will continue my part because this is what is do to me because I don't think I should be punished for paying my bill on time.

I had received a car loan from Westlake Financial for $2400 and I have had this for 1 yr and 4 months and my loan hasn't gone down under $2000 yet. This doesn't make sense. I called to make a payment and I was sent to 4 different people. And finally the woman told me that she couldn't take my payment, that Westlake Financial is under investigation by the state of Mass and they couldn't accept any money from me but I could pay with western union payments if wanted to.

Also she said that there would be no charges, no repossession for non payment. They have never explained to me why my payments have not gone down. Also they repo'd my car once last year in October and when they did they ruined the whole front end which cost me $500 to fix which made me late for my next month payment, and when I told them they said nothing. Why is my 2400 loan not under a $1000 after a year? I'm pissed. I haven't got any letters yet from them explaining anything.

We purchased a car from a car dealer and because we do not have enough credit, we used WestLake financial for our loan. They want us to buy gap waiver insurance from them. Otherwise they do not approve our loan. We paid $2000 down for a $7200 car and we paid $399 for their gap waiver. We had too many problems with the car and we decided to sell it after we spend $3500 for the maintenance. We trade the car in for $5000 to a dealer and get a lease. We purchased the car in January 16 and paid off the car in April 8th, 2016. We actually use the waiver for 3 months with no claims at all. Now they are saying that they do not cancel or pay the unused portion of the insurance. Our loan was a 2 year loan and that insurance was covering during that 2 year period. What happens to the unused (almost) 2 years of insurance. Is this legal?

I got a suv from Westlake Financial. The car was 6 grand almost 7 and I put almost 2 grand down on this car. I got this suv around June of 2011. Now in 2016 I thought I was coming up to be my last payment. And they said "no you still owe 4,989". I'm like what. Almost 5 grand. That's about what I started with. How in almost 4 years and 4 months I still owe this. They said a balloon payment. I said no one said anything about a Balloon payment. I started crying saying "I don't have that kind of money". How is it 2011 car was 6 grand almost 7. I paid 290 dollars a month for 4.4 years and I owe almost the same amount. I called them and talked to them. They said I would have to rewrite the contract again for another 4 years for what to pay the same and have the same amount at the end of the contract. I started crying and asked where my car was at so I could get my belongings.

So I called the repo company to get my stuff. They refuse to give me the stereo dvd player that's in that car that I still owe money on. I have the original one that goes back into the car. The one that didn't work when I got the car. The repo company ruined all my stuff that was in the car. They threw all my stuff and my electronics into a garbage bag. They even took all the ashtrays and the garbage bags that were in the car and threw it in with all my stuff. My Ipod, my docking station to charge 3 phones. My gps. And more. I had a ashtray for the people in back of the car to ash in. They threw that in the bag with muddy ashes and butts in the bag. The soda cans that was half drank in the car they threw them into the bag too without dumping the excess soda out. They yanked the cords out of my docking station and amp and speakers. Yanked so hard they took the cigarette lighter with it that belongs in the car.

You should see what they did. The amp they ruined it. They pulled the cords so hard broke out inside the amp itself. And refuse to return the dvd player. So now westlake has 15 grand in payments with 2 grand down and the car now and the really nice 500 dollar stereo. Brand new tires all around. Now they get to make even more money off me when they sell the car. Isn't that nice. WESTLAKE IS A SCAM. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. STAY FAR AWAY.

I bought the car 2 years ago for $11,000 and have been making payments of $465 a month. Currently 2 years later I still owe them $10,775. I recently got sick and was in the hospital for a while. I missed a couple of payments. I called them to try to work something out and the rude customer service reps just plain refused. I tried to tell them I was in the hospital for a while and missed some work and would like to keep the car and keep making payments if they would just help out a little considering that it is extenuating circumstances.

They told me to either pay all of it now or they would just come and take the car. Westlake Financial doesn't give a crap if you've just been told you have stomach cancer. They don't care about you or anything else. They are a bunch of thugs and cheats who will screw you over any chance they get. This is not how you treat customers. This is not how you treat veterans. An auto dealer in Townsend, Montana took my trade and money down and financed a bad credit loan through them and I signed paperwork. Well, the truck had low mileage on it, but the front and rear shocks were shot. So I had all of that repaired, fixed the heater and a couple of other minor things. My payment is due on March 18th but I sent it in early. No problems.

So today, 3/12/2016, I get a letter from them saying my credit was denied. But before the denial letter, they sent me a payment notice and an account number. So I've made my first payment, had the truck repaired, I'm guessing I gave away my trade in and gave that dealership money... And I am starting to get very angry. I mean I am barely getting by, have had open heart valve, bypasses, and other ailments. And now this??? Have no idea what to do.

Instead of letting the car go back, my brother and I have been taking turns paying on the $14,300.00 loan and yes, we've struggled a few times to make ends meet but we get it paid. We missed one payment and they repoed the car and the timing couldn't have been worse, I started school the next day. I came up with the money but they were so rude. My aunt told them on the phone that she would never recommend them to anybody. Now jump a year later. The car had a $2300.00 repair bill that had to get paid if I wanted a ride to work so I had to use some of the car payment to do so. These sorry ** people are blowing my phone asking about money. The man was working with me and we came to an agreement and then I call him and he says they will not expect my payoff of 2500. They want the whole 5000. I'm sorry but they have taken double payment from my account when we first started paying and I never received that money back. They put it towards our next month that was due which was wrong because I never authorized them to. And now that I need them to work with me, they tell me "no."

They are bullies and are money hungry ** that say one thing and do another every time you talk to them. Funny how he was willing to expect the agreement this morning but now that I called back they want all the money. I'm going to be a widow here soon and all I want is to be able to pay off our truck so I have something of my husband's before he's gone. And they do know all this and still are not willing to work with me to pay off and be done with the hassle of trying to make payments on my own. Don't know why they are still in business anymore. BS! This loan company preys on the misfortune of others. There is no doubt in my mind they deliberately did this to pad more money on top of the loan amount. By not getting the release though in a timely manner, and by horrendously ran tow lots that close at 3 pm (who closes at 3 pm? It's like a double screw-over for anyone that works!), it seems they had no problem with not sending the release because they make MORE money by having my vehicle in a yard all weekend.

Smooth. Real smooth. You are a National company, making millions on sub-prime loans and you have plenty of employees to process a simple bit of paperwork. (did he/she pay and are up to date and otherwise have good loan repayment history?) can take up to 48 business hours! That is unacceptable. It is without faith and ethics towards your customers. If someone pays $1000 in full for the behind amount with the tow fees, they should be able to go get their vehicle. That simple. Waiting a full 4.5 days to be able to even pick it up? Unacceptable. Am I going to be reimbursed for the extra 2.5 days without it, and the missed time from work due to the 3 o'clock tow yard? I understand people need to be accountable, but you need to work with them more! This is just plain corporate American greed.

Monday June 22nd I called them and told them about the accident and that my car was totaled. Some guy told me they was going to extended my due date by a month so the insurance company will have time to contact them and I won't be late. Well come to find out that "extension" never got approved which they didn't called to tell me. I had to call them. Well they heard from the insurance company in August which they told them how much they will be paying them for the property damage which would have also paid off my car after the gap coverage kicks in. What I didn't get was why even though they knew the car was totaled they still wanted me to pay for the car. Anyway as each month went by nobody called me saying they never got a check from the adjuster.

At this point my paralegal thinks that the adjuster sent the check and the car is paid off. Come December we're thinking everything is done with the accident. I sign for new check, got my money from the wreck and went looking for a car. Went to the dealership and what did I find out - the car has crushed my credit. A car that I thought has been paid off is still on my credit and now my credit is damaged. I called Westlake. They told me they have not received a check and have not heard from the adjuster since November. I honestly don't see why there are so many complaints on this company. We have our Jeep financed through Westlake Financial and have for almost a year now and have not had one single problem with them. A couple of years ago, we did a mortgage modification to lower our mortgage payments on our house and, little did we know (thanks to the idiots at Bank of America), that would negatively impact our credit. So our once good credit rating slipped after that and we had difficulty obtaining a decent auto loan, but Westlake accepted us and gave us an affordable loan for the Jeep we really wanted. We have made every single payment on time and they never bother us.

Unfortunately, my husband just had to have unexpected surgery and is going to be out of work for 6-8 weeks and we are waiting for his short-term disability payments to start, so that left us depending solely on my income to pay the bills until that starts. Our Jeep payment just came due the other day, so I called Westlake this evening and explained our unfortunate set of circumstances and asked if there was any way we could make our payment later or get any other sort of help since we are a bit strapped this month because of my husband being temporarily out for work after his surgery and waiting for his short-term disability checks to start.

The woman I spoke with was very nice and helpful. She checked our account and said that we were eligible for a deferment, meaning that we wouldn't have to make a payment this month and they would just add it to the end of our loan. She processed the deferment and said that our account will show as being current within 24 hours and we can just resume making our regular payments next month. What a HUGE help this is!!! I honestly didn't expect them to do much if anything to help us out, but I was very pleasantly surprised when they did! All it took was a quick 2-minute phone call and we were taken care of!

I normally don't write these types of reviews, but after seeing all of the negative reviews on this company, I felt the need to share our positive experience. I have a feeling that most of these negative reviews are from people who don't make their payments, which causes them to run into problems and then they try to blame the finance company. Really, if you make your payments as you agreed to when you bought your vehicle, you won't have any problems!

When I called to speak to him about what I needed to do to get my car back, he was so rude and when I asked to speak to a supervisor he said there was no one there at the time. He told me I need to pay my payment with a debit or credit card and at no cheap dealer.

Mind you, you can only pay at their authorized dealers. He told I had to pay over $1000 to get the car but I only owed Nov and now Dec. When I mentioned that was not the price given to me by someone else earlier, he asked "well what did they tell you?" I said the least amount was $760 the month past due and due now. Every time I called, I was sent to this same young man who was just so rude. My payment was not 90 days delinquent as he stated. I paid November and December payment on the 3rd and today is the 7th and I still have to wait until the 8th to receive my car. I did speak to other customer service aides who was very polite and Nancy made sure my paperwork was handled immediately. Thank you Nancy for being human. Worst financial services ever.

This company has the worst customer service. I paid off my account like two months ago and they still have it on my credit. Every time I call it, a different excuse. I have spoken to 3 supervisor and 10 agents and my situation is the same. I am unable to get another loan because they are still reporting this account under my credit. They insist the social security is not mine and they are not able to remove it without me emailing my credentials to them. I have done so and they still have this account under my credit.

Regardless, the account should have been close and deleted from the credit. I am been denied from a house loan because this is still in my credit. This whole situation has created a hardship on me and my family. Now I had to get into a year lease with another house for rent because my previous lease was up and I was supposed to have had my house if it wasn't because Westlake is not doing their job.

They bought out the company in November 2014. I didn't have any notification of this whatsoever. The payments for my car were still being sent over to Condor Capital. They took my car and I was under the impression I was paying them on time because the money was coming out of my account every month.

Long story short, I have called Westlake a numerous amount of times and every single representative was not the least bit accommodating. In fact, they were argumentative and not the least apologetic to this complete inconvenience they have caused my life. I'm still without my car and no one is trying to help me. I've emailed and faxed over my bank statements from November 2014-September 2015 to prove my case and I'm still car-less. After this experience I will re-finance my car with a new company. We are trying to rebuild our credit so I thought I was doing something good by making the payment early on 9/1. I tried to set up the account so I could make online payments. Well of course they won't accept the first payment online. HAS to be over the phone and they hit you with a "convenience fee". Fine whatever. Did it and was feeling good about making my first payment early. I decided for the 2nd payment due 10/16 that I would mail a check in for payment to avoid the "convenience fee". They received and processed my payment on 10/5. Again was feeling good, until I looked at my statement. I'm being penalized with double interest because I paid EARLY!!! Are you friggin kidding me?!

The first payment of 206 they took only 63 in interest, the 2nd payment they are taking 141 in interest because I paid it 15 days early. If I were to pay it late, apparently from everything I'm reading I will be put into repo status. If I pay it online on the day it's due, I'm stuck with the additional "convenience fee". My husband called them and spoke with a very rude person who can barely speak English and was told "well that's our policy." Completely and utterly dissatisfied with these bunch of crooks!! I made payments after I paid monthly payment obviously for the principal but They took out the interest. Then the next payment I made they took out more interest. The breakdown of what goes to interest and to the principal was manipulated after I paid online. Instead of putting $112 of $175 to principal they only put $74 of the payment to the principal, took the rest for interest. I finally got a manager, Stefanie, that said she would readjust it in 48 hours, stated they will not send a correct statement and that I should check online in 48 hours. That was last Wednesday, nothing changed.

I also made Stefanie aware that my Sept bill states I owe $104 less than my normal payment, no support or info how they got that amount. The first rep I spoke to, Jesus, could not explain how they got that amount for Sept bill. The manager (which I doubt she even was) Stefanie, could not explain how the Sept bill is for $104 less than it should be. Again, she stated they would fix the bill from the previous month and readjust Sept to show my normal payment, but again refused to generate a new bill.

I'm afraid to make this payment because the bill, the internet and their automated phone system has different information on my account. I don't want to do anything with this company unless it's in writing especially my monthly bill. No one has answers, just get the runaround. Different info every time I ask how to make a principal only payment. All my online payments have been readjust to show I paid with an agent on the phone. False - only my first payment was with an agent on the phone. They can't answer why my readjusted after payment is made online or state the online billing system is wrong. Their company status has been suspended by the state of Cali at least four times, meaning they legally can't do business here in Cali, they just keep changing the business name to avoid this. My father is writing this. He decided to help me pay off my car loan. As required by Westlake, I (Susan) sent a printed letter stating that he could have access to the account and speak to representatives at Westlake per their rules. It was sent with two checks to Westlake, one for regular payment and one for principal only. They were processed on August 6 and 7, so the letter was received. Westlake says the letter is still not in their system. They also seem to have great difficulty in processing principal only payments. We decided to pay off this loan and save $8430 in interest!!

Through a lot of rig-a-ma-roll, I was emailed a form to pay off the loan. I could not return it by email as it required PDF that I don't have. So the other option was faxing, which I did August 10th to assure no additional interest in the payoff. They still won't even tell me anything about receiving the payoff fax. The company seems to be quite slow and dysfunctional in processing principal only checks and written correspondence. I waited three hours for the fax for payoff and learned they used the wrong email address. Took another hour to get it faxed correctly.

Now I am going to have to check the account and my checking account (online) everyday until I see the payoff is processed. And they continue to drag their feet on the letter to allow them to speak to me concerning the account and payoff. Once the payoff is processed, we will be delighted to not have to deal further in any way with Westlake! The letter to allow me to speak to their representative will be mute, if they ever get it into their system!!

My husband is a disabled vet (serving 14 years) and was no longer able to afford the payment so we gave it back. We made up our children and moved to Florida to get a new start in life. So with him and I being sick and having so many appointments plus having kids that need to go to doctors we decided to go to a little car lot to look for a car. I found a Chrysler mini van and find out paperwork to try and get it.

Bam we got approved through WestSuck. My husband was a truck driver so we were able to make the payments. Well he lost his job and became one month behind on a payment. Of course they won't talk to me because I'm not on the contract. So my husband gave them the permission to talk to me. I told them you can wait on the payment or let me fix the leak in the radiator. Of course it's not their fault. They just want their money. Between my phone and my husband's phone they call at least 16 times a day. Really does these dumb ** not have a life? So I wake up last night and the van is gone. They want 1000.00 to get it back. Also they want the title out there going to put a lean on my husband's license haha. Your ** has the title **.

It's sad people fall on hard times and they can care less. My husband got a job last week and boy they wanted to know where he worked so bad. Like I said take that van and stick it up your **. That van is not worth 500 dollars. What makes me sick is the ** repo company couldn't even have the balls to knock on the door to ask for the keys. They drag it out with my children's car seat in them. I can't get the stuff out of the van because it's in my husband's name. Well news flash he is a truck driver.

Now I have no car to go anywhere and no car seats to put my kids in them. This is how our world treat our disabled vets. It makes me beyond sick. To anyone thinking about using this company please think twice. They are the worst I have ever seen. They need to go out of business like something bad. Avoid Westlake like a black plague. Ok, I will try and get the message to him as he currently is in the middle of nowhere.

Well, then it comes out that this Carlos made payment arrangements with my son’s girlfriend. Well, if he can’t discuss this matter with any of us then how could he possibly make a payment arrangement??? Well, the mail was late today so I was late getting to the bank, so the payment arrangement this Carlos made with a person who is not legally able to make any arrangements on the loan fell through. When my son called, they said since she did not keep the arrangement, it was going to be 1400 instead of 1000. Wtf really. How can her arrangement be legal if she isn't on the contract. Are requesting two payments plus 700.00 in repo fees. I paid all fees & copy of DL with three references. I paid a total of $1517.00. I call back to advise of payment and now all of a sudden they need more documents. So yet again I send more documents, call back with proof they have received them & they keep telling me they don't have it despite me having proof that they do!!!

Then I call the repo company to see if they will help and she advises me what a pos company they are & that they are known to sit on documents even though they have them! They flat told the repossession company they were going to hold my car until at least tomorrow. I'm calling the BBB and a lawyer. That ** is illegal. Manager Marta ext ** is just as much of a **!

I would give this company 0 stars if I could! First off I had my truck repo'd - work was slow and I could make the payments on time. I finally got the money to pay, contacted customer service on trying to get my truck back. Each person I spoke to gave different information and were so rude. It would be great if you gave your reps a 101 on customer service. I asked one rep to give me her full name. She stated that it was confidential information? That's a joke! They also asked for proof of income. I told another rep that I was self-employed and didn't have any pay stubs. She said, "Well, go to your boss and ask for a letter???" As far as I know I am my own boss! Again this is a joke right?? I can't wait to get my truck paid for!

I did not even want to rate this a 1 star. I am so disgusted and annoyed with this so called company. When you reach a representative on the phone they do not answer your question but instead try and find a way around answering it. I was guaranteed to have my payment due dates changed and it never was and now they tackle on these late fees; a payment I made reflected on my bank account yet did not show up on my account with this company and they are trying to say my payment was reversed because I did not have the available funds. Continue to stick with this story even after I faxed them my bank statement showing the payment made. I have a complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau and have an investigation going and the company does not respond to BBB in a timely fashion at all and AGAIN they do not give any answers to try and resolve my issue with them.

So, my husband and I got a divorce. On the paperwork it clearly says I'm not responsible for the car in any way shape or form. So, I call them and go through about 7 or 8 transfers before I finally get to the correct department. (They literally sent me in circles. I got the same person about 3 times) FINALLY I get a hold of someone. They lost my paperwork from when I faxed them my paperwork proving I'm not responsible for the car. So I call them again this morning, going through the same circles before I'm now on hold for 15 minutes (Still waiting to talk to someone). These people have no idea what they're doing. Horrible company.

I had bad credit so the small corner auto dealer set this up for me through Westlake Financial. I made all of 20 monthly payments, most of them on time. I mailed my checks from Wisconsin to Los Angeles and it usually took 10 days or more for them to post. I have 5500.00 of my own invested in my 2001 Explorer and as of this writing owe 3 more payments totaling about $700. We tried to work with them but they do not accept partial payments. This week? Without notice they took my truck from my work parking lot. No one came to talk to me? No letter or contact from them to warn me. Now they want over $1400 dollars to get my truck back? Plus what the repo company gets for storage, towing, etc.

They also took money out of my account electronically earlier this year without my consent which cost me NSF fees in my checking acct. THEY REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME!!! So I think Westlake is a calculated, inconsiderate, money-hungry company that needs to be investigated by the law. On a lighter note the repo man is lucky because my baseball bat was underneath my backseat so I was unable to beat him senseless!!! Thank you!

Okay! I am not a client of Westlake but I am making payments to a car that belongs to a friend since 4 or 5 months ago. You would ask yourself why am I doing so. Well I wouldn't be doing it under other people's name if it wasn't because of them. Every time I called to see if the payments could be transferred to me under my name (as I am the person that is paying the car) first they told me YES, it could be done but the owner have to call first and say he can't pay the car, and that he will surrender it to me, so I rake over the payments.

I ask the lady if for that I will need a down payment. She told me not, the payments will stay the same just under my name, which at the time I thought strange but well, I was excited for the notice. So I called my friend and he called them that same day - they told him a completely different story. So now I don't get it and I don't know what to do. The car's payoff is $4,500 so maybe that's why they told him another thing - that it couldn't be done that way - that he would have to refinance it and stuff. I am so pissed off with this **. How can they be on business still??? That's insane and they don't even know what they saying. How can they tell me I could do a transfer of payments and then tell the other people DON'T - WTF!!!

In may I bought a car from EZ Credit Auto Sales, they got me a loan through Westlake Financial Services. My first payment was due June 15. I called them and gave them 200.00 and made arrangements to make the other half of the payment in 2 weeks, as I was in the middle of changing jobs which they agreed to on July 3. The dealership called and advised they received a letter from Westlake to take the car back and give them their money back. Westlake will not deal with me, only the dealer, and now looking to repo the car. This is illegal. What they are doing and will not work with me? This company is a scam.

The collections dept representatives can be very rude... If you are late on a payment and get a call from a guy named, **, it's going to get ugly... He will overrule you and be rude. Definitely not a professional representative. Certainly a guy that takes having access to these accounts personally to the point that it's just downright mean. Can't wait to pay the car off and be done with this company. Not happy dealing with them at all. I feel like I owe the mob. You can be as cordial and professional as you'd like while giving the date you're making the payment and still be bombarded with disrespectfulness and retaliation threats to your account. Now looking through other customers' reviews, I'm regretting my negligence in doing background research before signing the paperwork for my loan.

Purchased a car and financed through them in October 2014. Signed up for automatic monthly debit immediately because I read all of the horror stories of repos they're responsible for. I was first contacted by then via phone to "interview me about the car." I asked for some loan details & was told I'd receive a "welcome packet" in the mail within the week. I also asked the rep. if there were any fees or rules they had if I wanted to pay the car off before the 36 month term and instead of giving me a direct answer stated again "all that will be in the welcome packet."

I never ended up receiving a welcome packet so I called back a week later to make my first payment (since auto-debit takes 30 days to take effect) and I had some anxiety about making sure I don't pay late. I asked this rep. too if they could tell me any fees or rules in regards to paying before loan term was up and they told me straight up "I'm not sure." Bad sign! I received my first statement (never got welcome packet) roughly another week later but had already paid it so filed it in my records.

On the up side they never contacted me for anything and I ended up getting a large sum of money in December 2014 and called them immediately to pay off the remainder of the loan. There was no fee and the rep. told me to call back in 2 hours to ensure payment went through (weird!). I did so and was told I'd receive my title within 3 weeks. A month later I still hadn't received my title so I called and was going to complain but since the rep. seemed nice I didn't and she verified my address and said it would be mailed out.

I received it a week later which means it mustn't have been mailed out a month prior when I paid in full. All in all this bank was not terrible. I only dealt with them for roughly 2 months and in that time I do have to say that they are very unorganized and the reps. aren't very knowledgeable. I would advise anyone thinking of financing through them not to do it or do as I did and pay off loan ASAP. Also, they never reported on my credit. Maybe because it was such a short term but I'm not sure.

I got a used truck from a buy here pay here back in March, which I loved my truck more than anything! I traded a jeep, I paid $200 for this truck which I financed almost $11,000 for. Made a few payments then realized okay this isn't gas sufficient for me to drive my kids to school. I tried talking to them to figure something out about getting out of it - nothing. Very rude people! My fiance ended up getting a brand new car so I called Westlake and told them to come get the truck as a voluntary repo and they threatened me that they were taking me to court and I would be responsible for the remaining balance on the loan, my court fees, and their court fees! I was so upset I cried. I still get upset about it. Watching over my shoulder wondering when they will be here to get the truck. I wish I never would have got that damn thing! WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!!!
