My experience with Veterans United was excellent. Shane ** (Loan Officer), Derick ** (Loan Coordinator), and Tre ** (Concierge) were all outstanding throughout the process. They were professional, responsive, and kept everything organized from start to finish. Their teamwork made the home-buying process smooth and far less stressful. I truly appreciate their support and would highly recommend this team to any veteran purchasing a home.

I had a really great experience with Veterans United Home Loans. They are incredibly knowledgeable about the closing business and make the whole process as smooth as possible. Highly recommend, thank you VA for helping me get into my first home! [P.S.: One thing to note: in as much as you are able to, save the numbers of your loan officers, concierge, etc. onto your phone beforehand. You will be getting quite a few calls from seemingly random numbers asking for sensitive information if you don't (for some reason they don't always automatically recognize the number as legitimately coming from VA), and in an environment plagued by scammers this can greatly add to the stress of the process.]

Steven ** from Veteran’s United was very friendly and easy to talk to. He was able to match the interest rate from another lender, and presented me a competitive estimate offer. I ended up choosing to do my refinance with Steven and his team at VU because of great communication, friendliness and professionalism. The process did not go without snags, but it was handled easily and smoothly.

Oh man, if you can follow the To-Do list as quickly as possible, you can own your home in less than 3 weeks. What a great company, with the most respectful, wonderful people that will take a few minutes and listen to whatever is on your mind. Just as if they were old friends in a catch-up conversation. I would highly recommend Veterans United for any Veterans looking to use their VA loan for purchasing a house. They are very knowledgeable and communicate better than any other lender I've dealt with in the past. I believe they handle other loans as well, so even if you aren't using a VA loan, I would imagine they would still be my recommended lender.

If you take a loan and forever just make payments you will maybe be ok, BUT.... If you attempt to make early principal payments or cancel escrow payments when your act becomes qualified, they will do everything possible to stop or delay or misapply payments in a way to maximize their income (your cost). I do not know how other third party VA loan managers operate but I very much feel like these guys deliberately stick it to me whenever possible; check alternative companies.

It went very well. They kept in contact throughout the whole process and answered all questions thrown at them. They ensured my family and I were always well informed and taken care of. The team worked very well together to make sure everything was taken care of as quick as it did. We found and signed for our home in a month and a half due to their hard work.

I had a choice of companies to service my VA Refi need. ChatGPT suggested Navy Federal for perhaps a better rate and Veterans United for better customer service. I explored both options for a bit but quickly ran into obstacles with NF, including slow response to emails, getting a different person on the phone each time I called, requiring I open a NF bank account before they even talked to me, and a general sense of confusion (they explained by saying they were so popular that they were inundated with clients.).

Billy has been great through my original home loan and refinancing process. He is always professional and informative. The entire process of buying a home and getting everything coordinated was made much easier through Veterans United.

They were amazing every step of the way. Very caring, very helpful, and most of all they answered any and all questions I had along the way. (And I ask a lot of questions). They even remembered I have a dog and sent a gift box of dog toys and treats as a congratulations upon closing on my home.

Bill and his team blew us out of the water. The home-buying process can be daunting and intimidating. Veterans United will go out of their way to help you get a home you can afford. I had to find a place for me and my kids (2 dogs and a cat) after my wife of 36 years passed away, and I cannot take of the place we were living. They care for the Veterans and will help them find a home.

Brandon was Great and went the extra mile to get things done. They were readily available when I wanted to talk to them or needed something. Brandon was very polite, professional and considerate. I believe he enjoys his job helping veterans and it shows.

Everything was fine until they changed who serviced our loan. This happened the 1st week of this year. Once it was done, our entire payment history, escrow and tax records disappeared. They reported to all 3 credit bureaus that our account was closed. Now it shows no home loan on our credit report, but our loan history length was seriously degraded with it being a closed account. My current web page has no history prior to January 5th of this year. Asked them over the phone to update our credit reports and was told I needed to put it in writing and send it to their credit dispute office. Luckily we only have 3 years left with these idiots. I would refinance but currently at 2.5% makes that impossible. I strongly suggest you do not do any business with this company.

Do not trust these people, they’re like the guys at dealerships trying to sell you on a high-interest-rate loan the moment they find out you are a vet. Was working with them for a while until I started noticing the loan team’s monthly estimates were $1000 higher than what I would see doing the math. Issue was that they do not say what they’re going to give you as an interest rate. Maybe I was incorrect with math, but checking other loan companies, their estimates were much closer to the math I did.

Knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive. The team was on top of things, consistent with communication and the follow-up was pretty top-notch. There was never a time it felt like you would not see the end goal of purchasing a home with the professionalism they displayed.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for an easier loan process. Everything was done online, and uploading the requested documents was simple and straightforward. It made the whole experience stress-free from start to finish. Ben, Lisa, and Jonathan were all incredibly helpful, quick to respond, and always happy to answer our questions. After documenting escrow requirements, and discussing amount to be included in monthly payment, it was determined that escrow to be $450/month. Not to be, as Veterans United is now escrowing $1000/month! Promises to review never happened, so disappointing.

One of the main reasons is you may or may not be kept in the loop so you have to be patient while you are waiting for a process that you have little control of which can make you feel anxious at times. Amazingly this was not the case with Veterans United specifically Lily ** and her team. She kept us in the loop every step of the way. She let us know what to expect and at the close of the day she would always send an update which was always positive. This made you feel good especially if you're not sure about what is happening behind the scenes. In addition Veterans United has a very informative website with videos that tells you about the process and what to work on or expect during the next step. From offer to close was 35 days. Smooth and easy. One little hiccup that was quickly resolved in less than 36 hours. Absolutely the smoothest processing. Will definitely use again and recommend them.

Extremely smooth process for veterans buying a house. If this was a resort I would say it’s all-inclusive. They provide a real estate agent, a loan officer, a concierge, and someone to coordinate for under-writing. Everyone they assigned me was extremely knowledgeable and very polite. Couldn’t ask for better service. The were understanding that I was a first time home buyer and help me every step of the way and elaborated thoroughly on things I needed clarification on.

Great company, went above and beyond for this difficult situation. This was closed twice due to a family member doing his best to derail all of the hard work put into it. 2nd time working with Phil, fast and smooth process. One thing I would recommend is (not on Phil, more on overall checklist for the loan process) there being a lock in your rate step. I forgot to do it and honestly don’t know how to do it and my rate went up 4 points 2 days before closing. Not very cash money but I should have caught it and asked about it earlier.

Amazing work, Scott and Curtis are an outstanding team who went above and beyond to make sure I closed early and were extremely professional. I needed to close in 20 days for tax reasons, everybody told me it was impossible but when I called Scott and his team they said they would ensure I was closed in time. Working with Veterans United overall was a very good experience. They contacted me immediately. Recommended I work with their credit team... They reached out fast as well. And their services are included in the process. I followed their instructions and my credit jumped up! Once I went back to the refi side things were moving pretty fast. My reason for 4 stars is they seemed to slow down when it came time to close. Payoff letters were being requested when we were supposed to be closing, pushing me back a couple of weeks. But once I expressed my displeasure, they picked the pace back up. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
