Everything was fine until they changed who serviced our loan. This happened the 1st week of this year. Once it was done, our entire payment history, escrow and tax records disappeared. They reported to all 3 credit bureaus that our account was closed. Now it shows no home loan on our credit report, but our loan history length was seriously degraded with it being a closed account. My current web page has no history prior to January 5th of this year. Asked them over the phone to update our credit reports and was told I needed to put it in writing and send it to their credit dispute office. Luckily we only have 3 years left with these idiots. I would refinance but currently at 2.5% makes that impossible. I strongly suggest you do not do any business with this company.

Do not trust these people, they’re like the guys at dealerships trying to sell you on a high-interest-rate loan the moment they find out you are a vet. Was working with them for a while until I started noticing the loan team’s monthly estimates were $1000 higher than what I would see doing the math. Issue was that they do not say what they’re going to give you as an interest rate. Maybe I was incorrect with math, but checking other loan companies, their estimates were much closer to the math I did.

Knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive. The team was on top of things, consistent with communication and the follow-up was pretty top-notch. There was never a time it felt like you would not see the end goal of purchasing a home with the professionalism they displayed.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for an easier loan process. Everything was done online, and uploading the requested documents was simple and straightforward. It made the whole experience stress-free from start to finish. Ben, Lisa, and Jonathan were all incredibly helpful, quick to respond, and always happy to answer our questions. We never felt left in the dark. They also connected us with our real estate agent, Sondra **, and we truly can’t praise her enough. She went above and beyond to hold our purchase together and made everything come together seamlessly. We were so impressed that we're having her list the home we just moved from. Highly recommend this entire team!

Everything from start to finish was very smooth with our VU team. Our team reached out to us frequently to keep us updated on the process and let us know when things were needed or if things were moving forward appropriately. Sam answered our questions quickly and was always available to hop on a call with us to go over things more thoroughly. Overall we had an amazing experience and are very happy with everything!

A great experience to say the least. From starting my home search to closing the team at Veterans United helped me every step of the way. Any questions I had they were happy to answer, and they made the entire process simple.

While there were hurdles, as there are when attempting to buy and sell simultaneously, every person at Veteran United was friendly, helpful, and provided answers to questions with integrity. I would strongly recommend using for many reasons but the main one is you want a company that is looking out for your interests in regards to purchasing a home. Appraiser was late and set us back a bit, small potatoes.

After documenting escrow requirements, and discussing amount to be included in monthly payment, it was determined that escrow to be $450/month. Not to be, as Veterans United is now escrowing $1000/month! Promises to review never happened, so disappointing.

The purchase of a home can be one of the most stressful event in your lifetime. One of the main reasons is you may or may not be kept in the loop so you have to be patient while you are waiting for a process that you have little control of which can make you feel anxious at times. Amazingly this was not the case with Veterans United specifically Lily ** and her team. She kept us in the loop every step of the way. She let us know what to expect and at the close of the day she would always send an update which was always positive. This made you feel good especially if you're not sure about what is happening behind the scenes. In addition Veterans United has a very informative website with videos that tells you about the process and what to work on or expect during the next step. Veterans United made my home buying process so much easier with their app. Their site allowed me to keep track of where I was in the home buying process along with the ease of document upload and discretion of what exactly was needed made life easy. The team themselves is very communicative and easy to communicate with whether it be via text, call or email a response is always moments away. Anyone who is designated to help you with which part of the home buying process you are in or with useful information for finally moving is a specialist with their part!

They walked me thru my home loan experience, very professional and knowledgeable. My experience was pleasant. They treated me with respect and Dustin was always there to answer my questions. Veterans United kept the e-loan process moving right along. I stayed on top of your to-dos and uploaded them as I got them. Back and forth emails were answered promptly. They kept me informed. From offer to close was 35 days. Smooth and easy. One little hiccup that was quickly resolved in less than 36 hours. Absolutely the smoothest processing. Will definitely use again and recommend them.

We had a unique situation so it wasn't easy to get us approved initially but everyone we worked with at Veterans United made it all possible. Everyone we worked with was very kind and helpful. Extremely smooth process for veterans buying a house. If this was a resort I would say it’s all-inclusive. They provide a real estate agent, a loan officer, a concierge, and someone to coordinate for under-writing. Everyone they assigned me was extremely knowledgeable and very polite. 2nd time working with Phil, fast and smooth process. One thing I would recommend is (not on Phil, more on overall checklist for the loan process) there being a lock in your rate step. I forgot to do it and honestly don’t know how to do it and my rate went up 4 points 2 days before closing. Not very cash money but I should have caught it and asked about it earlier.

We worked with Crystaline. She was incredibly helpful, great a communicating and problem solving. We locked in a lower rate than any other quote we received, 5,75% closed Dec 2025. We were able to roll our house's flooring payment into our house loan which really helps us over time.

As a veteran I’ve been screwed by some other lenders, but never by veteran’s united. They have a no BS approach, their system is smooth, and their team members are consummate professionals. I’ve never felt manipulated or screwed over by them.

Amazing work, Scott and Curtis are an outstanding team who went above and beyond to make sure I closed early and were extremely professional. I needed to close in 20 days for tax reasons, everybody told me it was impossible but when I called Scott and his team they said they would ensure I was closed in time. They pushed the closing to 14 days earlier on a short notice and got me taken care of while not making me feel like a burden. We closed on time and I would recommend this team to anybody I met

Working with Veterans United overall was a very good experience. They contacted me immediately. Recommended I work with their credit team... They reached out fast as well. And their services are included in the process. I followed their instructions and my credit jumped up! Once I went back to the refi side things were moving pretty fast. My reason for 4 stars is they seemed to slow down when it came time to close. Payoff letters were being requested when we were supposed to be closing, pushing me back a couple of weeks. But once I expressed my displeasure, they picked the pace back up. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Taylor from the credit side, as well as Montgomery and Brandon on the refi side were a pleasure to work with.

The whole process with Veterans United in whole was good. There were a couple of uh-ohs but in the end, they came together and got everything back on track so that we were able to close and be in our new home for Christmas.

First, the Loan Team confirmed for me that my VA benefit had not lapsed or been removed because of a loan issue on my first ever home 40+ years ago. This was something I did not know. These people have made the last week of my closing a nightmare, they have refused to answer questions, even though I was just seeking clarification for things they asked me for at 8 to 9 at night. I have had to call them 7 times in a single day to get a response to a question they asked me and I responded to in under 5 minutes. Every document we sent was ignored, and every issue was unaddressed, and no explanation was given. They asked for a document, only to admit they forgot to pull that's same document from their systems. Now I have no hope for my home, and my family is devastated. I applied for a home loan through Vet United website on 10/31/2025 (along with 4 other lenders looking for the best rate). Since that time, I have been pre approved through all lenders for a home loan. During this time, I contacted my assigned loan officer (Justin P) stating my application was closed due to it being incomplete. Mind you, I contacted Justin numerous times via phone and email about the process. Anyway, after reviewing my information on the VU website, I found that my credit was pulled (they had my credit scores), and there were no requests for documents to verify (I already sent in the required documents). Vet United dropped the ball on my loan; however, I have been approved by 4 other lenders for a home. Thankfully, Vet United spared me from their inconsistent and poor customer services. No veteran should be treated this way.

They were very attentive and patient with my questions and always answered quickly, which meant a lot to my wife and I because home buying is pretty stressful. Jason also locked us into a lower interest rate just before an increase. And their site has a monitor for rate drops. VU’s site makes uploading your documents painless and the portal lets you know when they’ve been processed. The “To Do” list also made it easy to grasp what needed to be done to get our loan approved quickly. I can’t think of a way to make that process easier.

1st - This company has nothing to do with veterans. Veterans get no benefit. It’s just a cute name. (…Of course they mention this in the small print.) 2nd - I’m a pilot and I commute to work, like more than half of us do. They could not be made to understand. They spent a month asking really ‘unintelligent questions’ over and over. They actually sent a letter to my company asking if it was OK that I lived in a different state. They would drop question bombs on me on Friday, and I’d respond and get the “I’m out of the office until Monday” message. In the end, they still chose not understand.

Started this process weeks away from coming back to America from a year long deployment and because of you guys not only a plan but a goal I set before leaving on my deployment was accomplished and me and the family can't thank you guys enough!
